and if youre wondering how i know the name of the songs. basically, the site I downloaded them from just used the titles of the songs as the filenames. whats also to note is that some of the songs were intentionally made to sound low quality, well at least i presume thats the case.
I want to mention that the artist also made some music videos for them. i fondly remember 2010s music video featuring scenes inside a moving car, with someone (presumably the artist) recording in front of the car window as it drives past cramped one or two-story buildings. the video has a strange dim filter to it, and it includes a bunch of weird glittering shapes passing it out.
one last thing to mention is that the album covers changed depending on the song. the bg color would remain the same but each song featured different patterns of shapes and circles (mostly circles) and the font would change too. i remember the bg color being beige or teal idk

Hey y’all, I picked up a Qui-Gon Jinn and Kestis Fallen Order hilt from TXQ recently, wanting to finally upgrade from my Xeno2 hilt. Overall impressions are very positive. I’ve always been a little apprehensive about trying out Proffie: I’m pretty tech savvy but there’s still a learning curve to get adapted to. I have no doubt I’ll eventually take the plunge, but for now I had one mission: get a good hilt at a good price and have a pretty customizable option.
So am I happy with SNV4?
Yeah, I love this thing. The app is very functional and usable. The learning curve was very soft and anyone who is willing to put in an hour of effort with FrugalJedi on YouTube can figure out how to make it all work. The blade effects you can get are very impressive, and I’ve experienced only the occasional jitter from sound effects that were fixed by a quick shut down. The smooth swing algo needs work, but it seems better than it was originally.
Here’s some tips that will save you some serious time:

1. Do not even attempt to connect to the app without doing the firmware update. Find them from FrugalJedi on YouTube or from the link in point 3. Once you do that, you won’t ever have an issue connecting, or at least I haven’t. Connection is rock solid and my edits always send.
   
2. SNV4 does take Proffie fonts, but some are more problematic than others. Kyberphonic, KSith, and Jaydalorian loaded immediately with no problems. BK Saber Sounds was tricky and took me a solid 2 hours to figure out: the high quality wav formats will not be read by the saber stock. This is something to do with being in a mono 32bit encode when it should be a 16bit - EDIT some wrong info here. Solution is the same as follows below, but the problem is detailed further in the comments below.
   

You’ll need to download audacity and manually convert each file to this configuration for the sounds to play properly. I tried multiple other ways to get around this “busy work”. I tried converting the Xeno3, Golden Harvest to Proffie using the always wonderful SoundFontNamingConverter and that didn’t work. And neither did the convert audio function. Only when I manually changed the track using the audio editing software did these fonts work.

It was a great eye opener to the flexibility of this board and will get you looking and feeling spiffy with a simple drop in fix.

1. Download the upgraded voice pack from FrugalJedi. He’s put in the leg work and made the voice for the saber much more usable and friendly.

Conclusion: the board has been very kind to me and have spent an hour every day playing with effects. The flexibility is immense and while not quite endless like Proffie, I’ve never had more fun with a tech toy.

I'm working on a persona fusion calculator app for the Persona game series. I've been working on improving the performance of one of my views - a list that can have up to 15,000 items in it.
I have these models:

I have a row view I was using with an image and a shape, but even replacing it with a Text like you see here isn't improving it much - it still takes at least a couple seconds to load the list after the data finishes loading. However, if I update it to do this instead of the ForEach:

Today we’re building Pardofelis, 13th of the 13 Flame Chasers. This is part 11 of building the 13 Flame Chasers in D&D.
Let’s start off with our goals for this build. Pardofelis’s Signets revolve around gathering as much money as possible to gain buffs. Since that’s not a thing in D&D, we’ll instead focus on being acrobatic and agile as you do favor a fast, hit-and-run fighting style, as well as being able to swindle, shark, and steal anything. We also sadly won't be able to summon a giant Can to squash our enemies with.
For stats, we’ll be using Point Buy. Roll for stats if you want, just keep your Dexterity and Charisma high for multiclassing.
15 Dexterity, as you are very agile and acrobatic.
15 Charisma, as you are a swindling salesperson
13 Constitution, as you still need to be tough
12 Wisdom, as you do have keen senses
8 Strength, as you're pretty thin
And 8 Intelligence, as while you are crafty, you’re still pretty dumb.
For race, Catgirl definitely means Tabaxi. You get +2 to one stat and +1 to another, or +1 to three stats. We’ll go for +1 to three stats to round out our Dexterity, Charisma, and Constitution. You get a climbing speed equal to your walking speed, Cat’s Talent for Proficiency in Stealth and Perception, 60 feet of Darkvision, your unarmed strikes deal 1d6+plus your Strength modifier in slashing damage (although if I were the DM, I’d have them use Dexterity), and Feline Agility, letting you move double your movement speed for a turn. Afterwards, you can’t use it again unless you spend a turn not moving. Take the Charlatan Background for Sleight of Hand and Deception as you are a professional swindler.
We’ll actually kick things off as a Bard for better saving throws, and for later in the build. 1st Level Bards can pick any 3 Skills they like. Acrobatics, Persuasion, and Animal Handling would be my picks. You get Bardic Inspiration, letting you use a bonus action to give an ally a d6 they can use to add to an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw within the next 10 minutes, an amount of times per long rest equal to your Charisma modifier. For your cantrips, take Vicious Mockery and Friends. For your spells, take Silvery Barbs, Cure Wounds, Speak with Animals, and Identify.
2nd Level Bards get Jack of All Trades, letting you add half your proficiency bonus to any ability check you aren’t proficient with, which include initiative rolls. You also get Song of Rest, letting your soldiers add an extra d6 whenever they spend hit dice to restore HP during a short rest to keep them up in the field. You also get the option of Magical Inspiration, letting an ally who has a Bardic Inspiration die use it to add to the damage or healing of a spell. Speaking of, you can also learn 1 extra spell, and Charm Person forces a Wisdom save on a humanoid within 30 feet, and on a failure they’re charmed by you for an hour as long as you don’t do anything harmful to them.
3rd Level Bards can pick a Bard College, and College of Swords is perfect for an acrobatic sword fighter. You get proficiency in Medium Armor, which doesn’t matter, but more importantly, you get proficiency in Scimitars, which best mirror your weapons. You can also choose a Fighting Style, and since you wield two blades, we’ll go with Two Weapon Fighting, letting you add your Dexterity modifier to your offhand attacks. Swords Bards get Blade Flourishes, letting you use a Bardic Inspiration die when you make an attack to add extra damage equal to the result, and giving you 10 extra feet of movement for a turn, on top of 3 different effects. Defensive Flourish give a bonus to your AC equal to your Bardic Inspiration for a turn, Slashing Flourish deals damage equal to another target within 5 feet of the first equal to the result, and Mobile Flourish lets you push the target 5 feet plus the result rolled away from you, and then you can use your reaction to move within 5 feet to the target. However, Defensive Flourish is what matters the most here, so just focus on that.
3rd Level Bards can also learn 2nd Level Spells. Take the spell Animal Messenger to have Can deliver messages for you. Lastly, 3rd Level Bards get Expertise in 2 skills. Go for Sleight of Hand and Deception.
4th Level Bards get an Ability Score Improvement. Bump your Dexterity for better AC and damage. For your spell at this level, take Feather Fall as Cats always land on their feet.
5th Level Bards get Font of Inspiration, meaning your Bardic Inspiration now recharges on a short rest as well, and it also upgrades from a d6 to a d8. You can also learn 3rd Level Spells. Take the spell Leomund’s Tiny Hut to set up shop.
6th Level Swords Bards get an Extra Attack, letting you attack twice in 1 round. For your spell at this level, take the spell Locate Object to help find treasure.
Lastly, 6th Level Bards get Countercharm, letting you use your action to give you and your allies advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened, but this feature is honestly pretty bad.
We’ll now multiclass into Rogue. Multiclassing into Rogue gives you 1 Skill from the Rogue list. Go for Investigation. You also get Expertise in 2 more Skills. Go for Acrobatics and Stealth.
You also learn Thieves Cant, letting you speak in secret code words, and Sneak Attack, giving you an extra d6 to add to a weapon attack once per turn if you either have advantage on the attack roll or have an ally within 5 feet of you.
2nd Level Rogues get Cunning Action, letting you Dash, Disengage, or Hide as a Bonus Action.
3rd Level Rogues get to pick a Roguish Archetype, and Swashbuckler is excellent for someone slippery with both the blade and tongue. You get Fancy Footwork, meaning when you hit a creature with a melee attack, that creature can’t make opportunity attacks against you that turn. You also get Rakish Audacity, letting you add your Charisma Modifier to your initiative rolls, and letting you use your Sneak Attack against a creature without needing advantage or another ally as long as you, the creature, and no other creatures are within 5 feet of you. 3rd Level Rogues also get Steady Aim, letting you use a bonus action to gain advantage on your next ranged attack roll as long as you don’t move or haven’t moved that turn. Your Sneak Attack also increases to 2d6.
4th Level Rogues get an Ability Score Improvement. Cap your Dexterity for the best AC and damage.
5th Level Rogues get Uncanny Dodge, letting you use your reaction to halve the damage you take from an attack against you. Your Sneak Attack also increases to 3d6.
6th Level Rogues get Expertise in 2 more skills. Go for Perception and Persuasion.
7th Level Rogues get Evasion, meaning when you make a Dexterity saving throw to avoid damage, you take no damage on a success, and only half on a failure. Your Sneak Attack also increases to 4d6.
8th Level Rogues get another Ability Score Improvement. Bump your Charisma for more Bardic Inspiration and better spell save DC.
9th Level Swashbucklers get Panache, letting you use your action to make a Persuasion check contested by an opponent’s Insight check. If you succeed on the check and the creature is hostile to you, it has disadvantage on attack rolls against targets other than you and can't make opportunity attacks against targets other than you. This effect lasts for 1 minute, until one of your companions attacks the target or affects it with a spell, or until you and the target are more than 60 feet apart. If you succeed on the check and the creature isn't hostile to you, it is charmed by you for 1 minute. While charmed, it regards you as a friendly acquaintance. This effect ends immediately if you or your companions do anything harmful to it. Your Sneak Attack also increases to 5d6.
10th Level Rogues get another Ability Score Improvement. Cap your Charisma for the most Bardic Inspiration and better spell save DC.
11th Level Rogues get Reliable Talent, meaning you cannot roll lower than a 10 on any skill you're proficient with. Your Sneak Attack increases one more time to 6d6.
12th Level Rogues get our last Ability Score Improvement or a Feat. We’ll take the Magic Initiate Feat, grabbing 2 Cantrips and a Spell from the Sorcerer list. Take the Cantrips Ray of Frost and Shape Water, and for your spell, take Shield. This’ll give you a bit of ice power since you are an Ice-type Battlesuit.
We’ll finish off the build with 2 Levels in Fighter. 1st Level Fighters can pick a Fighting Style, and Defense will add +1 to your AC while wearing armor. You also get Second Wind, letting you heal 1d10+your Fighter level as a bonus action once per short or long rest to stay up in the fight.
Our Capstone is the 2nd Level of Fighter for Action Surge, letting you take an additional action once per rest.
Now that we’ve hit Level 20, let’s go over the Strengths of this build. First, you are very agile and slippery with 18 AC, Defensive Flourish, Evasion, Uncanny Dodge, Feline Agility, and Expertise in Acrobatics making you tricky to pin down. Speaking of Expertise, you have Expertise in 6 Skills and Reliable Talent, letting you always be able to jump, swindle, and sneak your way out of almost anything. You also deal solid damage with Sneak Attack and your Flourishes plus Ray of Frost for range, and thanks to Rakish Audacity and Jack of All Trades, you have a +13 to Initiative rolls, meaning you’re more likely to be first in the fray. Lastly, you have good supportive utility thanks to Bardic Inspiration.
For weaknesses, your HP is below-average for a melee fighter, sitting at around 145, so while you have many options to help reduce damage, you still aren’t as durable as someone like Kalpas. You’re also Vulnerable to Strength and Intelligence saving throws, meaning you can easily be thrown around and brainwashed. Lastly, you have multiple instances where you need to be standing still, such as using Steady Aim or recharging your Feline Agility, which can leave you open.

PSU: Seasonic PRIME GX-1300
Drive: OS Win10 - 2TB Samsung 980 Pro
(I did have 3 other NVME drives connected should that matter)
So I am bit perplexed by this issue. This build is about 1 year old and overall, has been pretty good. While I transferred files from a SD Card to one of my NVME drives, I noticed that Windows was acting up. I checked my OS drive, which was getting close to full (about 180Gb left) so I went to clear out any old files with WinDirStat.
It completed its scan and I started to delete some old WinRar files in my downloads when I noticed the transfer had froze. I went to stop the transfer but it seemed that File Explorer was locking up. I went to continue with my deletion of old downloads but quickly noticed that I could not even delete them. I tried to open the path to the file from WinDirStat to File Explorer, but got a dialog box that stated:
"*something here I cant remember* was not working. Do you want to close" with Yes or No options.
I clicked Yes but the computer continued to not respond. This box popped up 2-3 more times on various icons I clicked. I could not access task manager, start menu, or anything. I tapped the power button on my case and waited, but nothing occurred so I was forced to hold it for a shut down.
Upon reboot, a screen popped up with only text that seemed to be in the font/style of the ASRock mobo rather than Windows. It mentioned pressing F2 or Del for BIOS, or some other key for I think the boot manager. Unfortunately it was not responding to any keystrokes.
I restarted again but got nothing on the screen/was unable to get to the BIOS while the board displayed error code A0.
From there, I tried various steps and also called ASRock support to no avail:

• Clear CMOS
• Reseat RAM
• Try 1 stick of RAM in each slot
• Remove GPU and connect to HDMI on Mobo
• Reseat all cables
• Remove all other drives except the OS
• Remove all USB devices
• Connect GPU via HDMI and not DP.

None of these worked and I always get stuck on A0. While it might be a stretch, I am hoping maybe one of yall might have solution.
Research shows that a few others have had this issue with this board, and other Z690/790 boards but not clear solutions.
For what it's worth, I did notice that my CPU did seem to heat up faster than other examples I saw online. My CB scores were decent, but I do not think my cooling was inadequate. Especially given that my case is an O11 Dynamic Evo with 7 Lian Li fans. Airflow/Cooling should have been great.

For what it's worth, I did notice that my CPU did seem to heat up faster than other examples I saw online. My CB scores were decent, but I do not think my cooling was inadequate. Especially given that my case is an O11 Dynamic Evo with 7 Lian Li fans. Airflow/Cooling should have been great.

Hey guys! Here is my hardware:
CPU: 13900K
Cooler: Artic Freezer II 360 AIO
Mobo: Z790 Taichi Carrara (running the latest beta BIOS I think)
GPU: Gigabyte 4090
RAM: G.SKILL 64GB F5-6400J3239G32GX2-TZ5RS (is on QVL list)
PSU: Seasonic PRIME GX-1300
Drive: OS Win10 - 2TB Samsung 980 Pro
(I did have 3 other NVME drives connected should that matter)
So I am bit perplexed by this issue. This build is about 1 year old and overall, has been pretty good. While I transferred files from a SD Card to one of my NVME drives, I noticed that Windows was acting up. I checked my OS drive, which was getting close to full (about 180Gb left) so I went to clear out any old files with WinDirStat.
It completed its scan and I started to delete some old WinRar files in my downloads when I noticed the transfer had froze. I went to stop the transfer but it seemed that File Explorer was locking up. I went to continue with my deletion of old downloads but quickly noticed that I could not even delete them. I tried to open the path to the file from WinDirStat to File Explorer, but got a dialog box that stated:
"*something here I cant remember* was not working. Do you want to close" with Yes or No options.
I clicked Yes but the computer continued to not respond. This box popped up 2-3 more times on various icons I clicked. I could not access task manager, start menu, or anything. I tapped the power button on my case and waited, but nothing occurred so I was forced to hold it for a shut down.
Upon reboot, a screen popped up with only text that seemed to be in the font/style of the ASRock mobo rather than Windows. It mentioned pressing F2 or Del for BIOS, or some other key for I think the boot manager. Unfortunately it was not responding to any keystrokes.
I restarted again but got nothing on the screen while the board displayed error code A0.
From there, I tried various steps and also called ASRock support to no avail:

• Clear CMOS
• Reseat RAM
• Try 1 stick of RAM in each slot
• Remove GPU and connect to HDMI on Mobo
• Reseat all cables
• Remove all other drives except the OS
• Remove all USB devices
• Connect GPU via HDMI and not DP.

Ruby opened up the battle log and was beset by wave upon wave of despair. Page upon page of damages were laid out in front of her. Best she could tell, Jason had entered this world with a frankly disgusting number of items squirreled away in various pocket dimensions. Not that it had mattered, whatever strange rules this world operated on meant that even displaced in time and space, Jason’s belongings had borne the same brunt of damage as his physical body.

Seven pages... Seven FULL pages... Seven full pages of size 5 font, single space; [item], [item], [item]... listings. That was how long the list of broken items ran. She wondered both how and why this man had spawned into existence with more mundane healing items in his possession, then most small nations had access too. She pondered deeply why he had chosen to bring enough weapons to arm every individual in a moderately sized country.

But it wasn’t the lost items that bothered her, it was the damage numbers to Jason’s body and soul that really made her want to vomit. Much like how this world had somehow managed to damage items that didn’t even exist within it. It had also somehow found a way to supercharge the [Ignore Pain] ability far and away beyond reasonable understanding. Over two hundred thousand, that was how much damage Jason had suffered from the fall. Everything was broken.

Damaging a soul is tricky work. Some forms of damage can hit a soul directly, others have next to no effect. Take psychic damage for example, it is very effective in damaging a soul; but is next to worthless when attempting to damage the body. The inverse to this would be Physical or Force damage, very effective against the body, but about as dangerous as a paper cut to the soul.

She checked the battle logs again; most of the recorded incoming damage was labeled as Physical or Force damage. A much smaller percentage being recorded as Elemental (Earth) damage. This didn’t make sense, even accounting for the massive influx of damage; Jason’s soul should have only suffered a tiny fraction of this damage. It still would have been enough to incapacitate the soul, but nowhere near enough to cause this level of destruction.

As she tried to puzzle out the mystery, she noticed something strange about the incoming damage. All the numbers came up with zero damage reduction. Thinking quickly, she checked Jason’s stat screen. Even in his current sorry state, the Divine Protections were still active, preventing 90%+ of all incoming damage.

“System?” P.U.L.L. asked.



“So according to the data I can see, Jason still had his Divine Protections active before his death. Such protections should have negated the Force, and Elemental damage. So why is his body somewhere between soup and a fine mist?”





Self-damage? Why would the system assume that Jason had caused damage to himself? P.U.L.L. pondered that for a moment, and then it struck her... [Ignore Pain]’s effect. The banked damage would not be negated by the Protections. She quickly pulled up the ability, perhaps if she better understood the skill, she could better understand the problem she was trying to fix.

The skill was rather simplistic in nature. “[Ignore Pain] absorbs 45% of all incoming damage, then banks that damage. Banked damage is applied to the user as a bleed over time effect over the next minute.” So far all pretty basic. Damage comes in, the skill activates, user now has an additional minute to cast spells or consume potions to offset the remaining damage. “Bleed will pulse once every 6 seconds, dealing 1/10th of the banked damage as True damage.” And there it was; True damage also known as Pure damage, was a unique form of damage that specifically cut through all forms of defense/resistances/ or even immunities.

Looking over at the mana pool, P.U.L.L. is not too happy to see that it’s already dropped 15% since she fed it last. Letting out a long groan, she looks at the train wreck in front of her, then looks back to the mana pool, once more to the problem, and finally back to the remaining mana

“FUCK” The word comes out as little more than a whisper.

Realizing that there is zero chance that she will complete the monumental task before the mana pool runs dry. She decides to dedicate her current remaining time to setting up an automated system that will convert Jason’s remaining resources into pure mana. Instead of having to go through a personally disenchant each item. It takes her ten percent of the mana pool to code the system. Another five percent is spent on building the system’s priority list. The remaining time she spends trying to streamline the process and milk every drop of extra essence from the liquidated resources. It took a lot longer than she would have liked, but she did manage to wring an additional 14% efficiency out of the process.

With only two percent of the pool remaining, she goes ahead and throws ALL of the mundane items she can still access, into the recycling engine. The return on investment would be comical if it wasn’t so sad. Five percent, enough weapons to arm tens if not hundreds of thousands, even turned to slag as they were; the raw resources they represented amounted to literal drop in the bucket. The silver lining, at least the storage spaces, had been worth something. Once the last one was fully rendered down, P.U.L.L. had managed to scrap up an additional 37% of the total mana pool.

With a healthy chunk of mana to play with, P.U.L.L. began the arduous task of collecting the splintered fragments of Jason’s soul. Even with magically enhanced vision, the process was laborious to say the least. A needle in the haystack would have been less trouble to find than some of the pieces within the crater. Several hours, and a couple Satchel of Storage full of magical armaments, later; she finally had all the pieces accounted for. Now all she had to do was fit them together, and who didn’t enjoy a good old fashion 1000-piece puzzle; with no image to reference. A 1000-piece puzzle that could have unforeseeable consequences if she messed up the positioning of even a single piece.

Her eyes feel like they are bleeding, but she finally fits the last piece into. She gives the soul a once over, trying to make sure that nothing looks too out of place. The edges are a little bumpier than she would have liked, and she’s still not 10,000% of if that one jagged pentagon shaped piece should be where it is; but she can’t think of any other places where it would fit... She decides that it’s as good as she is reasonably going to get it and locks the pieces into place.

All she needs to do now is infuse the soul with enough mana to bind it back together. She eyes the mana pool; it’s hovering around 15.3%. That’s nowhere near enough for this task, so she looks at what items are left. The logs show only three Satchels remaining. While considerably more powerful than what she had liquidated at the start, the first pack was full of ‘normal’ magical items. The second seemed to be the collection of all the Artifact tier items that Jason had accrued over his many adventures. The final bag was where the system had consolidated all of Jason’s various magical cure-alls. Turns out one needs a body, to apply body healing magical items too. Further, the body needs to have a soul that can be bound to it. Well technically it doesn’t, but generally people don’t waste legendary mythical items to keep a rotting empty husk polished.

She ran a scan of the items, unfortunately the normal magic items didn’t quite produce enough raw mana for the task. So, they would be relegated to buying more time. The artifact bag though, now that had some heavy hitters. Even with the limited returns that liquidation offered, she was pretty sure she could reforge a soul without having to destroy more than a few sacred treasures.

“Hey, System”



“I’m going to have to deactivate the automated protocol I've been running up till now, to free up processing room for this. But according to the data I can see, I'm worried that Jason doesn’t have enough reserves to last him through the mending, much less long enough that I can queue up another liquidation.”






“Convenient, so I can just burn through a bunch of these, and you will store any excess?”



“Guess I'll have to work quickly then.”

Taking a deep breath, she deactivated the program before beginning a mass purge of the first satchel. From the artifact bag she selected the [Swords of Sun and Moon], [Icesorrow], [Nirvana], and [Guillotine of the Tyrant]. She had little doubt that her work would be met with anything less than anger at the lost of such treasures, but; she reassured herself that Jason would probably prefer to be alive and down a few priceless artifacts then dead with an overflowing cup of loot.

A brilliant light began to wash over the fractured puzzle that was Jason’s soul. Starting at the lower right-hand corner, she watched as a slow wave crept its way forward. Like a pool of liquid gold it spread, filling the cracks and gaps between. Pieces clicked together, before merging into an ever-growing framework. Further and further, it spread; as more and more pieces bound together, they began to lose their rigidity. No longer one among many, the pieces blend into a single moving flowing entity. The soul ungulates and pulses with life, each beat of its phantom heart pushing the edges of the binding magic just a little bit further, making the soul just that tiny bit more whole.

50% of the soul has become one... 60%... at 70% it begins to slow. But that’s fine, it's so close, just a little bit more. 75% and it’s at a snail's pace. Her exhilaration begins to turn to horror; the pool is Slowing.... Slowing... Stopped... Then it begins, the energy strains to push forward. Hairline cracks begin to form, with each pulse the cracks spread and deepen. The spell is coming part, why is it coming apart?!

She spares but the briefest of passing glances, and her heart damn near shatters then and there. 1%, Jason only has 1% of his mana left. She desperately tries to reach out, she just needs to pick one more item. But she can’t move, if she moves her momentum will cause the soul to fall in this critical moment. She is paralyzed, if she doesn’t move [Temporal Flux] will drain the last pip of mana and this will all have been for nothing. But if she moves and the soul breaks again, she doesn’t have the time or energy to try again. Tears stream down her face as she is frozen between two terrible choices.

The system chirps in a sicken sweet tone.

She watches as mana floods in, the light once more continues its plodding adventure to turn many broken shards into one complete being. The cracks reseal, disappearing as if they never existed. Time feels like it’s moving in slow motion as the first wisp of gold reaches the top of the framework. 90% and rising, 95% and everything but the top corner has become a single mass of squirming light. 99% and the soul is straining within its confines; it wants to be free. 100%, with a blinding flash the light swells then vanishes, the soul is once again whole.

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting anything so please bear with me if I end up going into a lot of side stories!
I (17F, highschool senior) have a best friend (16F, highschool junior), let's call her Annie for the sake of this rant. To give you some sort of backstory, I met Annie when I was in my sophomore year and she was in her freshman year, and we've been very close ever since. I am relatively popular in school and have plenty of friends, and with her being younger than me, I've always treated her as the younger sister I never had. I took her under my wing and made it my duty to make her feel as welcome in my friend group as possible, (it's a friend group of around 7 girls, we are all pretty close), long story short - Annie became a large part of the friend group and she's been hanging out with us for the past two years.
Throughout my sophomore year, Annie and I were attached by the hip, we bonded over the similarity of our up-bringing and our daddy issues. She is basically me in a different font, and I am very thankful to have her as my best friend. We would text everyday and opened up to each other about everything and anything, we always understood one another. We were just THAT duo.
(To be clear, Annie is not my only best friend, my closest friend is a girl we can call Mary, who I met since I joined this school, we have been inseperable since.)
Anyways, jumping to the summer of my sophomore year, I started going through major mental health issues, everything came crashing down on me, I felt suffocated by the amount of people's well-beings I had to prioritize and overall, I was very depressed for the whole summer. I tried to keep this to myself as much as I could, although my friends did notice a very large drop in my energy, specifically Mary and Annie, as I stopped being invested into high school drama, and I avoided long conversations as much as possible. Not to toot my own horn, but I was still a very good friend to each and every one of my friends, as its very important to me to make sure that everyone around me is happy, even though that might affect my own happiness sometimes. (It's a bad habit of mine and I'm working on fixing it).
Once my senior year started, everything went downhill, I became a completely different person and I was no longer in control of my actions. I found myself distancing myself from everyone (I can be rather mean when I'm upset, so I find it better to just shut people out rather than hurting anyone along the way), I stopped reaching out to my friends, I started skipping almost ALL my classes at school, just so I could cry in the bathroom without anyone noticing because I genuinely could not seem to save myself, my grades started dropping (I've always been a straight A student and one of the smartest in my friend group - no matter how much I fuck around in school). Overall, I went from being a girl who loved being surrounded by her friends, to someone who now felt extremely overwhelmed whenever anyone tried to have a conversation with me.
For some background info - I am a relatively tough person, who doesn't show negative emotions often, so this sudden change was a shock to my friends. I made it very clear to all of them that I could not control the way I felt and that I felt horrible for acting the way I was, and that I didn't want to ruin anyone's senior year, so I didn't want anyone to feel intitled to check up on me. At this point, I spent all my lessons and my free time crying in the bathroom stall, and the only people who really knew this were Mary and Annie. They were such good friends throughout the whole phase I was going through and would just let me cry my eyes out into their arms until I felt ready to rejoin the group. I feel very blessed to have such understanding friends and I can not explain how much it meant to me that even after everything, I felt loved by everyone around me even when I found it difficult to love myself.
Anyways, as I mentioned earlier, this caused my grades to drop, which resulted in me getting a B in my math's class first semester results. (My mom's very strict and only ever accepts A's and nothing less). I did get A's in all the other subjects I took but I guess the B just wasn't siting right with my mom. I was grounded, got my phone taken, wasn't allowed to go on social media, wasn't allowed to go out with my friends, and overall just wasn't allowed to have any fun until I proved myself on my next exam, which was a full semester away.
As you can probably guess, this made matters so much worse for me, because my mom thought my friends were a bad influence on me, and couldn't understand the fact that I was severely depressed and it had nothing to do with anyone but me. I found myself falling even deeper into my depression and having to spend the whole of winter break with no outside contact, which meant I spent 3 weeks having no clue what was going on with my friends and just being completely detached from everyone. Things at home were absolute shit and I felt extremely left out with my friends. (I understand its completely no ones fault but my own, I'm just explaining how I felt).
I wasn't allowed to go to my senior prom, all school trips, nor participate in any school events. My mom even threatened to force me to give up my spot on the student council. During this time, I noticed how self centerd Annie was, she constantly boasted about winning prom queen (AT A PROM THAT WASN'T EVEN HERS BTW. WHICH IS CRAZY TO ME), she would send me pictures of her and my friends at prom constantly (this continued for a whole MONTH after prom), and went into full detail about how much fun it was and how I missed out. None of my other friends did this, even the boys had enough decency to refrain from talking about stuff I wasn't included in around me. I understood, however, that Annie was very excited about experiencing prom, and I was very happy for her throughout the whole thing, even though I would reply to most of her texts while I was fully crying because of how alone I felt.
I remember this one time, Annie and three of my other friends went out together a few days after my birthday (which I spent alone, at home), I was by no means jealous, but I obviously still felt left out. I still wanted to be a good friend though so I asked them all privately if they had fun and told them I was really happy that they enjoyed, the 3 friends replied briefly about how it was a nice hangout and that they feel really bad about going out without me, and that they wished I was there, and that was that. But Annie took it upon herself to explain every second of the outing to me and kept sending me pictures and videos of herself and my friends, laughing and having fun. At this point I was completely drained of having to act like I cared and I could no longer put up with this anymore, because yeah. It did genuinely hurt. I became very dry with my replies and Annie had the audacity to ask me why I was being cold and distant, so I explained to her that it does hurt whenever all she talks about is how much fun she's been having AND COMPLAINING ABOUT HOW HER MOM DIDN'T LET HER STAY OUT FOR LONGER. WHEN I HAVENT FUCKING SEEN THE LIGHT OF DAY IN TWO MONTHS AT THAT POINT. Anyways, she said she understood and that she only did that because she wanted me to experience what they were all doing, and she wanted me to feel as if I was there with them. Lame excuse, but I see where she was coming from and told her I appreciated it but I'd rather not know anything about it, because I truly didn't care at that point and only wanted to focus on myself.
However, this behavior continued and all Annie ever talked about was herself, and her issues and how sad and sorry her life was because her and her boyfriend were arguing. Meanwhile, I was trying to find the will to live every single day and I was struggling sm to try and raise my grades so I could at least have some fun during my last semester at high school.
I remember the first couple of days back from winter break, we were at this basketball competition, and it was myself, Annie and Mary there from our friend group. We were siting on the bleachers waiting for our school's turn to compete, and my social battery was completely drained at that point, so I just sat there and listened to everyone converse. Please bear with me while I try to explain how we were siting since this is a very important part of the story. The bleachers consisted of two parts, me and Mary were seated next to each other and I was at the end of the bleacher (Keep in mind the bleacher we were on was PACKED and we were practically squashed on there), while Annie sat in front of us, turned towards us so we could all talk. At some point Annie got up to go to the bathroom and Mary took this as her chance to ask me what had happened with my mom the day before, (Mary knew a bit more than Annie did because I didn't want to bother Annie, since I knew she was experiencing her fair share of family issues as well), I told Mary I didn't really want to go into detail about it right then and there cuz I would probably end up crying infront of everyone, so she shut the conversation down and told me she understood. Annie came back the same time Mary had stopped the conversation and to say she exploded on me was an UNDERSTATEMENT.
She started fully screaming, infront of THE WHOLE BASKETBALL TEAM, AND OUR COACH, about how I was leaving her out, and how I made her sit on a different bleacher, and how I changed so much and I was no longer the old girl I was, and that she felt unloved by me. She went on to say that she understood why I had to distance myself from everyone because no one would even be able to deal with me when I was acting this way, and that she put up with me too much. The cherry on top was when she called me mean and selfish infront of everyone (being called selfish hurts me so badly, because I bend myself backwards trying to make sure that everyone around me is happy, even if I'm going through hell and back myself) so you can understand how much it hurt hearing your best friend shame you infront of everyone.
I'm very bad at communicating and can be VERY mean when I want to, but I really didn't want to hurt Annie's feelings so I just gave her a thumbs up and said "Okay". I'm the type of person who cries when I'm mad so when she sat back down and faced away from us I did start to cry because I just cant control it. When Annie realized I was crying, this woman had the audacity to scream "Why the fuck are you crying now??", this just completely pushed me off the edge so I replied "Can I not fucking cry in peace now??" to which she replied with "Obviously not I don't want to be the reason my best friend is crying.".
Anyways she gave me a half-assed apology, which consisted of her throwing her arm around my shoulder and saying "You know that even when we argue you're still my sister and I love you". And yeah. I did let it slide and I forgave her. But this scenario completely changed my perspective of her and I distanced myself hella and stopped trying to put in effort into our friendship. I stopped opening up to her because I didn't know when else she would use it against me. (We had plenty of other arguments after that one, in which she said I was draining her, and I told her I didn't want to be the reason she feels like she's unable to have fun, so I made the decision to just stop opening up to anyone)
So, people of reddit, am I the asshole for refusing to open up to her anymore, and not putting in anymore effort into our friendship?
(FYI - I still love her with all my heart, and she's always going to be my little sister, and I just want to mention that thankfully I am doing a lot better mentally now, my grades have risen and I hope it continues this way!!)

I live on shared land (like an HOA, sort of) of 500 acres and we currently have no speed limit signs. It used to be that our mail would be delivered at the front of the land and only people who lived here would drive on the gravel roads, thus going pretty slowly. However, with amazon delivery often going direct to people's houses, we have a lot more drivers and many of them go as fast as google or their car says (the last speed limit before you turn onto our roads is 55, obviously too fast).
We want to put up speed limit signs, but because we live in the woods and yadda yadda, many people want them to be quite aesthetic. I, however, am wanting to ensure that cars with Traffic Sign Recognition can read them. Does anyone have any information, anecdotal or otherwise, on what signs can be best read by these systems? Is there a specific font or background, or if it says "Speed Limit" and a Number somewhere on it do you think that will compute?
TLDR: What kinds of speed limit signs can actually be read by these systems and do they need to look generic or can they interpret a unique input?

ok so printiful has the option now if DTG printing. but i still get the warning message for semi transparent.
i make my graphics on canva, i’m a beginner. Almost every single font i use is semi transparent and all of my designs are space themed and have a shit ton of transparent graphics.
if i just put a black background or white background on my graphics will it still print wrong? or will the semi transparent still get messed up? i tried making a black background on one graphic and the black was darker than the black tshirt so it look stupid regardless. is there another way? and if so can i get a thorough explanation or a dumbed down version? or a different app i could use.. i heard gelato is good but i’m worried i’ll have the same issue regardless.
also i’ve seen this same question posted awhile back but i didn’t understand the advice given to the poster.

The shopkeeper seemed nice enough, though, and all the Haibane seem pretty friendly. (The idea kind of reminds me of the Pig Liver show from a couple seasons ago, except the execution here is decidedly better.)

JustAnswerAQuestion has been nosing through their dvd extras which amusingly dates the anime so well. Can you imagine back when Ai Yori Aoshi or Sakura Taisen were new!?

Pulled out some of my DVDs (couldn't find DVD right away, which apparently has extras.)
DVD 1 came with a big insert booklet full of character info, and messages to the the consumer! Typing the text into google doesn't give any hits, sorry.
DVD 1 extras: NC OP, Japanese OP (they use a really nice font), the previews, which I don't think were even in my fansubs. There's an art gallery not just of the characters, but every day objects like Reki's lighter and medical kit.

I’m happy that most of the app was largely the same except for a different font, but I absolutely hate the new opening of the app. The old one with a pink sky behind a 787 looked so pretty, and now it is a dull dark gray.
Also, might be an Apple exclusive problem but I feel like the old font and UI was better suited for the iOS.
