2024.05.21 15:22 BaldCypressBlueCrab ADHD Tax Tip (apple users)
Today I paid the most classic of the ADHD taxes— I forgot to cancel a subscription service. I got an apple audiobook subscription that I forgot to cancel, but I wanted to share a tip I found in case some of y’all didn’t know. You can actually request a refund for this through Apple!
You log in to reportaproblem.apple.com, log in, and then you can request a refund if you have eligible purchases. One of the choices of why you’re requesting a refund is “I did not intend to renew this subscription.” So I submitted that and they said to allow 48 hours for review. I might get a good $30 back. I hope this helps someone else :)

2024.05.21 15:13 DCmetrosexual1 Fitbit Pay shutting down, still no AmEx support in Google Wallet
Can’t believe you still can’t add an Amex card to Fitbit pay in Google Wallet. I’m getting ready to give up and just get an Apple Watch instead.

2024.05.21 15:04 HedgeAppleJoe Soterra Stipulation and 912 PTAB proceeding.
Soterra Stipulation - "Fintiv is based on a parallel ITC proceeding; or (iii) where a petitioner stipulates not to pursue in a parallel district court proceeding the same grounds as in the petition or any grounds that could have reasonably been raised in the petition.”
Petitioners file these so that their IPR petitions do not get denied under FINTIV rules. It is a double edged sword and in this case Samsung filed and Micron joined the Samsung IPR. Samsung only filed against claim 16 to help their buddies at Google. However when the 912 was validated I think 78 other claims were also validated. (Check my number but it is many). Micron and Samsung can't question validity on the 912 or the 417.
Micron and Samsung can't go back for a second bite at the apple. "grounds that could have reasonably been raised in the petition.” They could have brought up the other claims right? This is my interpretation so any legal minds out there are welcome to correct me if you see any holes in this but I bet we see more than claim 16 in these Texas cases!!!

2024.05.21 15:02 whiteKreuz FYI: Citi AA Cards do NOT work on Google Pay
It's quite mind boggling that such a mainstream set of credit cards still are not supported on Google Pay (they can be added to Apple Pay though). For me personally, not being able to add a CC on Google Pay is a dealbreaker, mobile wallets make life so much easier and it seems AA doesn't care about its cardmembers that have Android. Should have known this before getting the card, so wanted to spread the word for any Android users thinking of getting any of Citi's AA cards. This is 2024 and the 2 main mobile wallet systems should be supported by any mainstream CC!

2024.05.21 15:01 kjmichaels r/ Fantasy's Top Podcasts - Results
It's here! The results for the 2024
Fantasy Top Podcasts Poll have been tabulated and we have the results! Before we share those results with you, a quick preamble about participation and how we categorized the podcasts. The
original voting thread can be found here.
Participation In total, 77 people participated in this poll and cast a total of 360 votes for 183 podcasts. That's a big uptick from the
last time this poll was undertaken but not as much participation as we'd hoped. The vote spread was remarkably similar to last time but as we suspected, the popular podcasts have changed wildly. For instance, Writing Excuses was the most popular podcast last time with 16 votes and this time it only received one vote.
Only 2 podcast votes were disqualified: 1 for not seeming to be a podcast (not found on any podcast app and it did not describe itself as a podcast on its YouTube channel) and the other was only available on a website that my antivirus software wouldn't let me go to so I couldn't confirm anything about it.
Breakdown There were 7 main categories of podcast:
- Discussion - for general podcasts where hosts talk about shared interests. This could include news, book discussion, readalongs/watchalongs, lore analysis, and so on. This is the category most people tend to think of when you say "podcast." Readalongs/watchalongs are specifically called out in the list due to their participatory nature.
- Fiction - for podcasts where previously published stories are read aloud often by their author usually without sound effects.
- Audio Drama - podcasts where stories are performed by actors as plays with sound effects. Not everything in this category is is specifically a drama. Some are comedies but audio drama appears to be the catch all term for any story performed for audio.
- TTRPG - a catch all for anything D&D related including actual plays and similar games like Pathfinder.
- Writing - podcasts on writing advice, story creation, and the like.
- Folklore/Mythology - somewhere between Fiction and Discussion, these podcasts bounced between reading, discussion, and history of real world myths and folklore often by people who are experts in their field. This felt different enough from Discussion and Fiction to single out since it did not fit neatly in either.
- Improv - there were a number of podcasts where comedians improvised stories in a fantasy or sci fi world. It wasn't quite fiction and it wasn't quite audio drama so it got its own category.
Fiction and Audio Drama are definitely the blurriest categories. In general, I counted something as audio drama if it had multiple actors and sound effects. This meant that stuff like Night Vale, which is arguably an audio drama, was counted as a fiction podcast since it doesn't have these elements. This decision was partially informed by Night Vale calling itself a fiction podcast instead of an audio drama which helped me figure out where to draw the line using Night Vale as a boundary marker. However this also means that delineations between Audio Dramas and Fiction may not be consistent as I did defer to podcast descriptions if they described themselves as Fiction or Audio Drama.
Our most popular podcast categories in order of most to least popular were:
- Audio Drama - 62 podcasts Discussion - 62 (17 of the discussion podcasts were watchalongs or readalongs)
- Fiction - 24
- TTRPG - 21
- Folklore/Mythology - 4 Writing - 4
- Improv - 3
The Results

2024.05.21 15:01 OnlyQuint I am set to receive my $100 Health Perks Prepaid Visa card in the mail today, I have a couple questions.
Hi! I am on a private UHC plan. I did my five tasks to get my prepaid card. It's supposed to be in the mail today according to my Informed Delivery. I was wondering a couple things.
1.) I saw here that some people receive a healthy benefits card that's hard to use because it can only be used on certain things. Is that the same case with with card? Or is it more like a vanilla gift card type of deal. I know it says in the disclaimer that I can buy pretty much anything except for tobacco, alcohol, and fire arms. Not that I plan on buying any of these things, but if it's like a normal prepaid visa card how would they know I did unless I bought it at like a liquor shop. I only ask because I planned to buy a video game with it at GameStop, and I just didn't want to get there and it decline on me and I get embarrassed lmao.
2.) If I find a sale on Amazon or gamestops website I may end up using it online, do you know if I can do that? I'm sorry for the probably stupid questions, but I figured since I'm at work and can't find out until I get off, there's no harm in asking on Reddit.
&
3.) Do you know if I can add this card to my Google wallet? I always feel safer keeping my gift cards on my google wallet than on my person.
Thanks in advance guys.

2024.05.21 14:43 jcutner iPhone 15 case on an iPhone 14?
Is it possible for the Apple iPhone 15 Silicone case to fit an iPhone 14? Regular models, not Plus or Pros.
They look similar-ish, but I'm guessing there may be some millimeter differences that stop it from being a perfect fit.
Anyone out there doing this? Reason being, iPhone 14 Silicone case is falling apart, and I prefer the colours of the 15 Silicone cases.
Thanks!

2024.05.21 14:35 Elianajack The Tivoli Royal Court in Okhla: Navigating Your Way to the Nearest Metro Station
So, you’ve got an event at the
Tivoli Royal Court in Okhla, and you’re scratching your head, wondering how to get there without having to sell a kidney for cab fare. Fear not, fellow traveler! The Delhi Metro is here to save the day (and your wallet). In this article, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know about reaching the Tivoli Royal Court using the nearest metro station. We’ll throw in some laughs, some lists, and even a table or two for good measure. Let’s dive in!
Getting to Know the Tivoli Royal Court
First things first, let’s get acquainted with the place. The Tivoli Royal Court is a swanky venue located in Okhla, South Delhi. Known for its elegant decor and top-notch facilities, it’s a popular choice for weddings, corporate events, and other grand celebrations. If you’re headed there, you’re likely in for a treat – and probably a lot of delicious food.
Why Choose the Metro?
Now, you might be thinking, “Why not just take a cab?” Well, here are a few reasons the Delhi Metro might be your best bet:
- Cost-effective: Save your money for the event – those samosas aren’t going to pay for themselves.
- Time-efficient: Delhi traffic can be a nightmare. The metro zips past the snarls and jams.
- Eco-friendly: Reduce your carbon footprint. Mother Earth will thank you.
Nearest Metro Station to Tivoli Royal Court
The Contenders
The nearest metro station to the Tivoli Royal Court is
Govind Puri Metro Station on the Violet Line. But let’s not jump the gun – here’s a list of other nearby stations, just in case you have a change of heart (or route):
- Govind Puri (Violet Line)
- Okhla NSIC (Magenta Line)
- Nehru Place (Violet Line)
- Kalkaji Mandir (Violet Line & Magenta Line)
Govind Puri Metro Station: The Winner

How to Get There from Govind Puri

- Enjoy the Ride: Sit back, relax, and maybe enjoy a little breeze (if it’s not too hot).
Other Options: If You’re Feeling Adventurous
If you’re up for a bit of exploration or need an alternative route, here are some other stations and how to get from them to the Tivoli Royal Court:
Okhla NSIC (Magenta Line)
- Exit the Station: Head towards the exit for Okhla Phase I.
- Hop in an Auto: Much like at Govind Puri, autos are your friends here.
- Short Ride: It’s a slightly longer ride than from Govind Puri, but still pretty quick.
Nehru Place (Violet Line)
- Exit the Station: Follow signs for Nehru Place market exit.
- Take an Auto or Bus: Autos are available, or you could take a bus if you’re feeling particularly adventurous (and thrifty).
Kalkaji Mandir (Violet & Magenta Lines)
- Exit the Station: Choose the exit based on the line you’re coming from.
- Auto or E-rickshaw: Both are readily available, and the ride is not too long.
A Step-by-Step Guide: Reaching Tivoli Royal Court
1. Planning Your Route
Let’s break it down into bite-sized steps. Think of it as a recipe for travel success:
- Check the Metro Map: Identify your starting station and plot a course to Govind Puri.
- Purchase Your Token/Card: Grab a token for a single journey or use your metro card for convenience.
- Hop on the Metro: Board the metro towards Govind Puri. Enjoy the ride and maybe catch up on some reading or people-watching.
2. Navigating the Metro

- Station Announcements: Listen to the announcements. They’re there to help, even if they sometimes sound like they’re underwater.
- Get Off at Govind Puri: Exit the train and head towards the station exit for Okhla Phase III.
3. The Final Stretch
- Find an Auto: Walk out and flag down an auto-rickshaw. Tell the driver you’re headed to Tivoli Royal Court. They’ll know where it is – it’s a popular destination.
- Enjoy the Ride: It’s a short trip, so sit back and maybe enjoy a bit of local scenery.
Table: Quick Reference for Metro to Tivoli Royal Court
Metro Station | Line | Exit Direction | Transport Option | Approx. Travel Time |

Tips for a Smooth Journey
- Travel Light: The less you carry, the easier your journey. Plus, you’ll have more room for all the goodies at the event.
- Be Early: Delhi Metro is usually punctual, but it’s always good to give yourself a buffer.
- Stay Safe: Keep an eye on your belongings and be aware of your surroundings.
Wrapping It Up with Some Humor
Navigating Delhi can sometimes feel like participating in a reality show. You’ve got the drama of rush hour, the comedy of trying to communicate with auto drivers, and the suspense of wondering if you’ll get a seat on the metro. But with this guide, you’re well-equipped to make it to the Tivoli Royal Court with ease (and maybe even a smile).
So, next time someone asks you how to get to the Tivoli Royal Court in Okhla, you can confidently say, “Oh, that’s easy! Just take the metro to Govind Puri and grab an auto from there.” You might even add, “And don’t forget to invite me to the event – I love a good party!”
And there you have it – a simple, humorous, and hopefully helpful guide to navigating your way to the Tivoli Royal Court via the nearest metro station. Safe travels, and enjoy the event

2024.05.21 14:28 wake5 Web3 Safety Tips
Here are some quick safety insights I've picked up over my time on various chains, they differ slightly from chain to chain but the logic remains the same:
- High engagement doesn't mean safety: Just because a project promotion has a high engagement rate doesn't mean it is safe. This can be faked, and more often than not is.
- Doxxed devs: If there's only one doxxed dev, they might be a front-man for a shady team.
- Fake profiles: LinkedIn and other social media profiles can be faked. Let's call it "foxxing"—fake doxxing.
- Foxxing is easy: It's very easy to create fake identities online.
- Liquidity lock/burned is not a guarantee: The dev could have many tokens in many wallets, use a "is dev selling tracker tool" to find out.
- Can they edit the tax? Sell permissions? Anything that threatens your ability to sell or hold safely?
- Private doxxing trend: I personally don't trust private doxxing. A security audit company won't release the devs' details to you.
- Beware of Discord and Telegram chats: Don't get swept up in the hype. The chat might be artificial or filled with people desperate for others to save them from their losses.
- Assume everyone wants to steal your money.
- Avoid direct message links: Never interact with a link you receive in a DM, even from someone you trust. Always find the link yourself from official sources and DYOR.
- Disconnect your wallet: Regularly disconnect your wallet from everything, yes; everything.
- Consider the use-case of the token: Is it realistic?
- Double-check wallet addresses: Always double and triple check wallet addresses before sending anything anywhere.
- Test transfers: Send a small transfer (like 0.001) before sending your whole wallet to ensure it arrives safely.
- Research and skepticism: Find a project you believe in, research it thoroughly, trust no one, and assume the investment might dump.
- Fake employees: Many "official" organization employees on LinkedIn are fake. It's a mess.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and happy web3ing.
