2024.05.12 13:19 SilvanoBellusco [META] Team Snapchat account unblockable?

Is ist just for me or did Snapchat really made the „Team Snapchat“ account unblockable?
Its just annoying to get daily messages from them.
Any workarounds?

2024.02.17 16:40 Hairy_Ad3168 A Person in my Playgroup doesn’t understand my problem with his deck choices

So we are a kinda large playgroup of about 12 people who kinda freshly got into edh (about 3 months now). All the gamenights are always fun but the last couple of times a guy from the playgroup startet bringing a [[Pako, the Arcane Retriever]] and [Haldan, Avid Arcanist]] deck and after everyone played against him we all got salty and mad. We told him ist not nice in our powerlevel and we can‘t deal with him and it’s annoying us. After that he just told the playgroup something like „well yeah it is just bulk that was available“ also he stated that his deck ist „just ramp, protection and some cards that help steal“. I kinda get that the problem though is that we with our lower powered, mostly slow decks just aren‘t a match. When we want to remove pako he will just use his 15 counterpells and protection spells and there is not enough removal among us to stop it. It also doesn‘t help that he has many card in his deck that make hin unblockable so after like 6 rounds the first one dies to commander dmg. So my Question is are we just very bad players and we shouldn’t care that much about his deck, or is he the one just missing the point that it‘s not fun for the others if he plays that deck.

2023.08.18 08:33 KVMVSVBI WordPress Plugin - Overlay bei geblockten Inhalt

Hi!

2022.12.29 07:45 meh__-_- post no contact paranoia

Hello everyone, I'm wondering if anyone else suffers from late night no contact paranoia? I went no contact a while ago and while there hasn't been anything from my family since I blocked my mother's email, I feel paranoid that if I don't unblock her I'll miss any of her actual threats against me (like showing up to my work if she finds it etc). My parents have shown themselves to be violent and incoherent when they are in rages. I'm worried that without written confirmation or closure that they will never bother me again, they'll pop back in somehow through some online stalking and actually try to damage my property or hurt me or my loved ones around me. They're racist and ableist and every other ist you can name so they're not above hating and blaming my circle of people around me for my behavior.
So that makes me worry that they'll attack the ones I love to get to me. And then these thoughts spiral into thinking everyone around me is safer not knowing me.
I often have nightmares now where my family finds me and hurts me and my friends can't find me. I know I'm not powerless. But Im worried I won't find peace until they're long gone. And that seems like a long time to wait in holding your breath.
Does anyone relate? Anyone have advice about long term no contact? My family is Asian so the amount of crazy they can get can be insane.

2022.11.08 22:09 RabbitProfessional40 should I confront one of my closest friends who called me the n word behind my back

The title explains it self if I'm being honest
I'm F 14 and my friend is F14 She came to me all mad and talking about how one of my friends June ( fake name) said something that offended her I told her to tell and that she would But she didn't and kept complaining about small things she did if she said a mean joke or she was annoyingly honest I told to block my June if she was so annoyed of her since I got tired of telling her the same thing and she did but then unblocked her and started talking shit about June to me making fun of the June's crush and how annoying she is and I let it go thinking she'll change and stop but then I searched up things about the situation and it said she was toxic and more so I thought that this was all June since I used Google and was naive and believed everything and told her everything about it I felt bad since we talked shit about her and I called her ( ella fake name) and add June and then told her everything we did and Ella left the call as I kept going on and on about what we did June was pissed at Ella for not telling her she hurt her feelings and there friendship parted after a year we talk about the issue me and June she sent me what Ella texted her saying how I'm the person who started this hole argument and how I was a bitch since she wasn't ready to tell her how she talked shit and mad fun of her and said she didn't think of her as a bad person anymore and said how I told her to block her and so I did just to unblock her later and called me the n word this was all on text I was shocked because she was white nothing but white and still thogutj it was OK to try and hide the fact she did that and frame me as the bad guy while being racist and never said sorry to my now bestfriend she didn't care was mad at me for telling her about what we did saying that if I do that again we won't be friends After me and June talked about how she called me the N word after all this time we thought it would be bad good idea to call her up and call her out for being racist but all I want to know is if she is a bad person since she blamed me and called me the n world while being white and was very selfish and never thoguth to apologise or say sorry for calling me racist ist but instead not tell me at all should I still be friends with a fake friend who never really respected me or my friend Aslo just to explain any mix up when I said we wouldn't be friends anymore that was before I knew she called me the N word my friend sent screen shots of it and I kept reading it till I saw what she wrote calling me the N word saying it was all my fault So for advice should I stay friends with her or just cut her off
Update:
I asked her many times to call but she was busy most the time I so sent her to the text messages that said the n word just that she covered it with different words she said I was a miss spelling so I told her after school to chat to her and I still haven't gotten a call yet

Besides the quadrupole-formula test, Kramer and co-workers significantly improved the precision of other gravity tests, such as the test of the Shapiro delay effect, whereby a curved spacetime makes radio signals travel for a longer time. In addition, the team performed relativity tests that have never been performed before in the double pulsar. They have, for example, measured a relativistic deformation of the orbit, a relativistic spin-orbit coupling between the pulsars’ rotations and their orbital motion, and a deflection of radio signals in the curved spacetime of the pulsars. All measurements are beautifully consistent with predictions from a single elegant and profound theory, Einstein’s general relativity.
These results provide empirical guidance for developing theories that go beyond Einstein’s. https://physics.aps.org/articles/v14/173

Question Are changes in prices of sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) across cities in Mexico before and after the 2014 SSB tax associated with changes in weight-related outcomes among adolescents?
Findings In this study, a 10% increase in SSB prices was associated with a 3% relative decrease in prevalence of overweight or obesity among adolescent girls. Improved weight-related outcomes were small and largely observed in girls with heavier weight and in cities where price increases were greater than 10% after the tax.

Further, the relatively high resolution (~100 km) of the model, in conjunction with the 100 different realizations, represented an unprecedented set of technical challenges that needed to be met before advancing to the goal of assessing how climate variability is impacted by sustained anthropogenic changes to the climate system.
“We met these challenges by using the IBS/ICCP supercomputer Aleph, one of Korea’s fastest supercomputers,” said Sun-Seon Lee from the ICCP, a co-author of the study who ran the simulations together with her National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) colleague Nan Rosenbloom. For the project, approximately 80 million hours of supercomputer time were used.
Widespread changes
Taken together, the computer simulations reveal that across our planet we can expect widespread changes in climate variability, ranging in timescales from storm events to decadal changes. Each of these changes has important impacts for sustainable resource management. https://www.hawaii.edu/news/2021/12/16/extreme-weather-model-simulations/

Closer to the equator, smaller amounts of water have been detected in the soil near the surface, in the form of either ice or hydrated minerals. But the newly discovered cache is far bigger – and far wetter – than anything else found so far.
The new water stores were found by the TGO, using an instrument called the Fine Resolution Epithermal Neutron Detector (FREND) in a series of observations between May 2018 and February 2021. This tool detects neutrons coming out of the ground, which can be a marker of the hydrogen content – and by extension the water content – of the soil. https://newatlas.com/space/mars-water-discovered-grand-canyon/

Sometimes nature surprises you. That’s what happened when a massive marine heatwave took hold in the waters around Moorea, French Polynesia, in late 2018. Fortunately, UC Santa Barbara researchers turned this event into an opportunity to investigate coral bleaching.
Scientists surveyed coral around the island during and after the heatwave, recording which colonies survived and which succumbed to the heat. They found that high ocean temperatures hit the largest coral hardest, an alarming result since the biggest colonies are most fertile. What’s more, the heatwave also decimated baby corals. These trends, detailed in Global Change Biology(link is external), suggest that heatwaves could entirely restructure the size distribution of corals on reefs. https://www.news.ucsb.edu/2021/020491/double-trouble-corals

About 70% of peat is sold to gardeners and 30% is used by professional growers. The government estimates a ban on both uses would cut CO2 emissions by 4m tonnes in the next two decades.
The government also announced £4m to boost 10 peat restoration projects across England, including in the Fens, Dorset, Somerset and Yorkshire. Almost 90% of peatland in England is in a degraded state and it emits 10m tonnes of CO2 a year. In May, ministers announced a £50m plan to restore 35,000 hectares of peatland by 2025, about 1% of the UK’s total. “It’s a really positive start,” said Pow, saying that these investments leveraged other funds focused on water management and increasing biodiversity. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2021/dec/18/peat-sales-to-gardeners-in-england-and-wales-to-be-banned-by-2024
appearing in the Journal of Crohn’s and Colitis. “It’s why it is targeted by drugs. Our interest in this study was to look for a more targeted therapy that might have better impact than the existing approach, which is to block all TNF-alpha.”
Lo explained that people have two different receptors, TNFR1 and TNFR2, in each of their cells that bind TNF-alpha. Currently, TNF-alpha-targeted drugs block both TNFR1 and TNFR2. Lo’s experiments were done in mice, which have the same two receptors. The pattern of inflammation in mice is similar to that seen in humans.
TNF-alpha, produced by the body’s cells, also induces specialized immune and other cells, which both promote inflammation and suppress it. Thus, TNF-alpha plays a role in the destruction and the healing of tissues — a double-edged sword. https://www.eurekalert.org/news-releases/938471
However, new research from my lab summarizes nearly two decades of work on this topic. We found that exercise reliably increases levels of the body's endocannabinoids – which are molecules that work to maintain balance in the brain and body – a process called "homeostasis." This natural chemical boost may better explain some of the beneficial effects of exercise on brain and body.
I am a neuroscientist at the Wayne State University School of Medicine. My lab studies brain development and mental health, as well as the role of the endocannabinoid system in stress regulation and anxiety disorders in children and adolescents.
This research has implications for everyone who exercises with the aim of reducing stress and should serve as a motivator for those who don't regularly exercise. https://www.sciencealert.com/it-turns-out-that-everything-we-know-about-the-runner-s-high-could-be-wrong-endocannabinoids
How did supermassive black holes form? What is dark matter? In an alternative model for how the universe came to be, as compared to the 'textbook' history of the universe, a team of astronomers propose that both of these cosmic mysteries could be explained by so-called "primordial black holes."
Nico Cappelluti (University of Miami), Günther Hasinger (ESA Science Director) and Priyamvada Natarajan (Yale University), suggest that black holes existed since the beginning of the universe and that these primordial black holes could themselves be the as-of-yet unexplained dark matter. The new study is accepted for publication in The Astrophysical Journal. https://phys.org/news/2021-12-black-holes-immediately-big.html
Key to the correct operation of the robot was a particular polymer – p(g2T-TT) – used on the device's neuromorphic circuit. The material can retain stored states for an extended period of time, which means the robot can imprint its experience in the maze, picked up by a sensorimotor, to use as its 'memory'.
By building a neuromorphic circuit like this rather than software-based learning algorithms, the researchers were able to cut down on the power demands and the size of the finished robot – this approach again mimics the brain, which has incredible power efficiency. https://www.sciencealert.com/a-human-like-brain-is-helping-robots-escape-from-mazes

A single milliliter of ocean water might contain a half-million SAR11 cells, said Giovannoni, distinguished professor of microbiology, and 25% of all ocean plankton are SAR11.
"That SAR11 cells can use isoprene adds further weight to a new theory that some plankton cells specialize in very low molecular weight -- very light -- molecules that for the most part are missed by the common methods to study the carbon cycle," said Giovannoni, who took part in the acetone and isoprene research. "SAR11 have the surprising metabolic ability to both oxidize and produce a variety of volatile organic compounds, or VOCs, that can diffuse into the atmosphere."
VOCs are any of a number of carbon-containing chemicals with high vapor pressure and low water solubility, some of which can cause adverse health effects to humans. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2021/12/211215113314.htm

The key to the technology is a strange compound called vanadium dioxide (VO2). In 2017, the team discovered an unusual property of VO2 – when it reaches 67 °C (153 °F), the material will conduct electricity but not heat, in apparent violation of known physics.
Now, the team has put this quirk to work. The idea is that when the weather warms up, the material absorbs and emits thermal-infrared light and so keeps it away from the building. But when the weather is cool, the material is transparent to heat, allowing it to pass right through from the Sun to the building.
The team tested the device using 2-cm2 (0.8-in2) thin-film patches of TARC, and compared them to samples of commercial dark and white roof materials. Wireless devices measured changes in direct sunlight and temperature. https://newatlas.com/materials/tarc-roof-coating-adaptive-heating-cooling/

PM2.5 is airborne particulate matter smaller than 2.5 µm in diameter. It is usually believed the black carbon part of PM2.5 (mainly stemming from motorised vehicles) was the most harmful one. However, the team's analysis of data in 210 cities across 16 countries from 1999-2017 found human health risks from air pollution vary depending on the proportion of different components in PM2.5.
One of the most dangerous components is ammonium (NH4+), originating mostly from fertiliser use and livestock. The risk of excess mortality from PM2.5 roughly increased from 0.6% to 1% when the proportion of ammonium increased from 1% to 20% in the mix1.
Cities with a larger concentration of ammonium in the mix, including Japanese cities Aikita, Aomori, Sendai, and Canadian cities London Ontario and Sarnia were associated with higher health risks. Specific action aimed at the agricultural and farming sectors may speed up the reduction of the negative health impacts of air pollution. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2021/12/211216150144.htm

Many subordinates never reach the dominant breeder position; striking out on one’s own to establish a new clan is risky business. So what is responsible for the dominant breeder’s success and the inability of subordinate females to successfully challenge her leadership? One possible answer could lie in a group of hormones called androgens (including testosterone). Although androgen-linked aggression has received much attention for its role in male competition, less is known about its role in female competition. In meerkats, females, particularly if dominant, have high androgen concentrations that even surpass those of males. Our recently published study reveals that these raging hormones are the key to their success. https://ecoevocommunity.nature.com/posts/the-dark-side-of-cooperation
He is working to understand why atmospheric lakes pinch off from the river-like pattern from which they form, and how and why they move westward. This might be due to some feature of the larger wind pattern, or perhaps that the atmospheric lakes are self-propelled by winds generated during rain production.
These are questions that would need to be answered before Mapes and other researchers can begin to study how climate change could affect atmospheric lake systems. He plans to study these events more closely using satellite data and will look at into the possibility that these atmospheric lakes occur elsewhere in the world.
"The winds that carry these things to ashore are so tantalizingly, delicately near zero [wind speed], that everything could affect them," Mapes said. "That's when you need to know, do they self-propel, or are they driven by some very much larger-scale wind patterns that may change with climate change." https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2021/12/211216150001.htm

The overall microbial structure is associated with self-reported behavioral measures This study is not the first to report that the microbiota may reflect complex behavioral traits. Multiple animal-animal or human-animal stool microbiome transplant studies have shown that some behavioral traits seem to be mediated by the gut content [38, 39]. In humans, Flannery et al. determined that taxonomic and functional composition of the gut microbiome is associated with behavior and early development in school-aged children [40]. Other studies have also associated microbiome structure with a toddler’s temperament [41]. Data collected over four decades shows that the quality of water in high-elevation (mountain) streams has been steadily decreasing over time. The issues underlying this decline are both historical and modern, related to man-made developments in hilly and mountainous landscapes.
The main sources of pollutants in mountain streams are sediment from unpaved, rural roads, and agricultural runoff.
No longer pristine
“We had access to studies from 1976 to last year that encompassed both stream and terrestrial studies,” said Rhett Jackson, a professor at UGA’s Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources and the paper’s lead author. https://www.zmescience.com/science/mountain-streamssediment-pollution-24637345/

Scientists and policymakers are puzzling over how to get rid of a group of toxic chemicals found in streams and drinking water. One hope was that the persistent compounds, known as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), would flow out to sea and stay put. But the ocean, it turns out, is spitting them back out: A new study finds sea spray from waves is tossing PFAS into the atmosphere. https://www.science.org/content/article/sea-spray-belching-toxic-chemicals-back-land

After a section of a cliff next to a beach in northern England fell onto the shore, it exposed the fossils of one of the biggest, baddest, creepy crawlers the Earth has ever seen. Paleontologists believe the fossils belong to a giant millipede whose many segmented legs could extend to as much as 2.6 meters in length, about the size of a sedan. The fossils were dated to the Carboniferous period, more than 100 million years before the first dinosaurs emerged. https://www.zmescience.com/science/news-science/before-the-age-of-dinosaurs-car-sized-millipedes-crawled-the-earth-on-hundreds-of-legs/

Boosting levels of the neurotransmitter norepinephrine with atomoxetine, a repurposed ADHD medication, may be able to stall neurodegeneration in people with early signs of Alzheimer's disease, a study conducted at Emory Brain Health Center suggests.
The results were published on December 17 in the journal Brain.
This is one of the first published clinical studies to show a significant effect on the protein Tau, which forms neurofibrillary tangles in the brain in Alzheimer's. In 39 people with mild cognitive impairment (MCI), six months of treatment with atomoxetine reduced levels of Tau in study participants' cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), and normalized other markers of neuro-inflammation. https://www.news-medical.net/news/20211222/Study-points-toward-an-alternative-drug-strategy-to-stall-Alzheimere28099s-neurodegeneration.aspx
On the basis of their findings and prior studies, the researchers propose that physical activity and mindfulness practices could help reduce problematic smartphone use.
The authors add: "Problematic smartphone use is fostered by the interaction of loss of control, fear of missing out and repetitive negative thinking." https://www.news-medical.net/news/20211222/Researchers-explore-problematic-smartphone-use-during-COVID-19-pandemic.aspx
As a result of the in vitro and in vivo experiments, they also found that the migration, proliferation, and anti-inflammatory functions of stem cells, which determine the therapeutic efficacy in vivo, decreased, thus confirming that the FOS and CDK1 genes are key factors that enhance the functionality and engraftment rate of stem cells.
“Through this research, we have secured a technology for observing the engraftment and dynamics of stem cells in a living body in real-time during stem cell treatment and discovered factors that enhance the engraftment rate through high-purity isolation of the engrafted stem cells,” Professor Shin said. “If companies develop an advanced stem cell therapeutics based on this technology, we expect it to increase the possibility of treating intractable diseases.” http://www.koreabiomed.com/news/articleView.html?idxno=12825
“In South Africa, Omicron is behaving in a way that is less severe,” said Cheryl Cohen, professor in epidemiology at the University of the Witwatersrand, who shared results of a research titled ‘Early Assessment of the Severity of the Omicron variant in South Africa’ on Wednesday in an online briefing by the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD). https://www.financialexpress.com/lifestyle/health/omicron-impact-less-severe-than-previous-covid-variants-south-african-study/2387658/
A team at the University of Victoria (Canada) devised a novel approach to make an unblocking agent that can bind a broad spectrum of blockers. Instead of having the rods threaded through a hole, the blocker shields both ends of the rod.
Fraser Hof and his team created cup-shaped molecules known as calix[4]- or calix[5]arenes (calix = chalice). They attached negatively charged groups to the upper rims of the "chalice." Such molecular cups will take up positively charged molecules like the ends of the blocker rod -- but unspecifically. To attain selectivity for the blockers, the team wanted to attach two cups to each other by means of a linking segment with a length that exactly matches that of the rod in question -- putting the two cups neatly over the two ends.
Because the link needed to be very short, there was repulsion between the two negatively charged chalice rims. The solution was to use a blocker rod as a "template." The team put reactive groups on the chalices and let them bind to a typical blocker. They then used a suitable linker (hydrazine) to tie together the two cups bound to the same blocker rod.
The "double chalices" -- Super-sCx4 and Super-sCx5 -- bind to a broad spectrum of neuromuscular blockers with high selectivity but do not block acetylcholine and other physiologically important amines. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2021/12/211221104235.htm

After that, the infant could be breastfed or drink formula, leading a healthy daily life without vomiting symptoms.
"Esophageal ataxia occurs mainly in adults aged 30 to 60 years, but it can also occur in infants," Professor Cho said. "The surgery was is meaningful as the first successful POEM operation in an infant." http://www.koreabiomed.com/news/articleView.html?idxno=12824

In the sports arena, spectators sometimes create a spectacle known as a wave, as successive groups stand up in unison to yell with arms in the air. The collective wave action produced by hundreds of thousands of fish working together helps to protect them from predatory birds. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2021/12/211222153134.htm
A group of shareholders earlier this year asked Apple's board to prepare a report on how the company protects workers in its supply chain from forced labor. The request for information covered the extent to which Apple has identified suppliers and sub-suppliers that are a risk for forced labor, and how many suppliers Apple has taken action against.
In a letter from the SEC reviewed by Reuters on Wednesday, regulators denied Apple's move to block the proposal, saying that "it does not appear that the essential objectives of the proposal have been implemented" so far.
The letter means that Apple will have to face a vote on the proposal at its annual shareholder meeting next year, barring a deal with the shareholders who made it. https://www.voanews.com/a/apple-must-answer-shareholder-questions-on-forced-labor-sec-says/6366305.html

Last month, the Biden administration held the largest-ever auction of oil and gas drilling leases in the Gulf of Mexico's history, claiming it was obligated to hold the sale due to a court ruling that reversed Biden's earlier pause on new drilling permits on public lands in the Gulf.
But a memo filed in August, months before the auction, by the Department of Justice, or DOJ, contradicts the administration's public claims. While the court's order did lift Biden's complete pause on new drilling permits, it did not force the government to issue any new ones, the DOJ found, as first noted by the Daily Poster and reported by the Guardian. https://www.salon.com/2021/12/25/the-biden-administration-said-its-drilling-lease-spree-in-the-gulf-was-ordered-it-wasnt_partne

However, the decline in the prevalence of cognitive problems was not entirely explained by generational differences in educational attainment, suggesting there may be other factors at play that warrant future research. The authors hypothesize several possible contributors to these positive trends, such as improvement across the generations in nutrition, declines in smoking and air pollution, and the phase out of leaded gasoline.
"Our finding from this study of over 5 million older Americans is definitely a very welcome, 'good news story' indicating a steep decline in the prevalence of cognitive impairment among older Americans," said Fuller-Thomson. 2021.11.09 16:42 papafreshx On OP and the History of War Robots

I took one of the meme posts from yesterday, which simplified the Specters one shot ability as inferior to the Orochis multi evasive abilities - which is correct when looking from todays standards, but not when put in the context from that particular meta and game state -, and dived down into War Robots history.
The game introduced lots of game mechanics which greatly affected the power level of robots and which allowed for countermeasures which would have, if viewed from the past, not been there. A bot from todays meta would surely dominate last years meta as they didn't have the counters available to them in many cases.
On the other hand, overpowered bots from yesterday are not longer OP now due to two reasons:
\- The game has the counters available \- And / or they have been nerfed
If you observe the current development of the game closely, not much nerfs have happened to recent bots. Shell has not been nerfed in any way and it is no longer dominating the early game. You may argue that it has just been replaced by a more OP bot, but that simplifies the actual game mechanics. And even if, it is more healthy for the game than just a plain nerf, like it has happened to many bots of fame.
And on that note, here's my personal list of OP bots in the game when they were introduced and how Pixonic handled them. I've made a distinction between OP, being an overly present and dominating bot on the battlefield, where players run up to five of them, and STRONG bots, which are dominating the meta, but are not suppressing any other bots from being played.
Again, this is my list, your mileage may vary.
Early game, up to version 2.0
Strong Bots: Carnage, Fury, Griffin, Leo, Rhino and Rog. Rog was on the verge of OP as it could be used to seal clubbing - meaning wasting away bots of newer players due to the matchmaking in that days.
Fujin was introduced later along with his cousin Rajin and was dominating for a while, but not OP
The first OP bot could be Lancelot, as the incarnation Tarancilot was oppressing on the battlefield
Version 2.0 to 3.0
Not much happened here beside the wild west bots, which were nice, Butch made his impression with Trebuchets.
Version 3.0 to 4.0
Here we met the first OP bot by definition, the Haechi. Along with his brothers Kumiho and Bulgasari he was a pest. Most weapons couldn't pass the shield, DB Griffins and RDB Griffins could do nothing, and they were the predominant species. Haechi was nerfed, but not into oblivion.
Later on Bulgasari and his Shocktrains went to take the fame, but I'd rather name it a strong bot, not OP.
Inquisitor started strong but was never OP.
On came Spectre. This bot was, I'm sure of it, the cause of many players leaving. Spectre Shocktrain was unnerving, and after the nerf of Shocktrain Tulumbas took their place. Spectre was nerfed in 4.3, almost one year later, and the nerf killed the bot.
Hellburner was OP when he came on the battlefield. You had champions league clans spawn 5 Hellburners at once, consequently leading to raiding your home spawn. Not as annoying as specters as you could at least shoot at them, but still OP. He was never really nerfed, so ist still a good bot to this date.
Version 4.0 to 5.0
We have two OP bots from this era.
Ares, oh how he was loved and hated. Ares Trains everywhere. Purple shields blocking every effort on killing one. Enormous damage potential, great range, great speed. The prototype of an OP bot in almost every aspect. Pixonic used to downplay it the same way as with the Spectre, naming them Glass Cannons. Glass cannon my arse. … Sorry, Ares. A nerf eight versions too late helped tame him.
Ao Jun, the flying pest of hell. Almost as OP as Ares, as his stealth ability couldn't be countered easily, and the best counter was a pilot on the very same bot introduced later. Shame. Ao Jun stood as the OP bot until 5.8, a year later.
As for strong bots, I'd like to name Invader, Hades and Nemesis.
Version 5.0 to 6.0
Three OP bots maimed players worldwide:
Phantom, the preferred beacon runner. With appropriate modules they stormed the early beacons and nothing was better as a first bot. Was nerfed.
Leech, after Ares the second most hated bot. Enormous firepower and the hideous unblockable ability combined with clueless players unable to stop shooting at a leeching bot. Was nerfed.
Ravanna. It came unsuspicious on the battlefield with only three medium slots and an ability which prevented it from doing damage. We were wrong, Ravanna proved to be unkillable. Was nerfed.
Nightingale, Loki and Fenrir came in the game als strong bots.
Version 6.0 to 7.0 - Recent times
I'm starting to get fuzzy on the definition of OP now, as this is my personal experience here. But in my book Hawk, Scorpion and Shell started out as OP bots which you couldn't deal with with the mechanics of the game. Hawk needed to be nerfed, Scorpion is still played with great annoyance and Shell, well, look at the field these days, is still going strong.
Version 7 and onwards
I'm not seeing any OP bots of recent times. Orochi is by my definition strong, as is Fafnir and Revenant. But we have plenty of tools of dealing with them and they are not overly dominant on the battlefield as each one fulfills a different role.

In closing I'd like to say that the game has come a long way from the original OP times of Spectre or Ares. Strong bots, which are necessary to drive incentive in the game, are appearing, but they can be dealt with.
-tldr- Stop complaining, times now are better than ever!

2021.10.30 12:13 NiEMiEC767 I can't truly smile anymore

I could consider this week as one of the worsts I've ever had. This year either wasn't best for me. But let me tell everything in points.
Toxic relationship part;
First of all, I (17M) was in a 9 month internet relationship. I was half of the time happy with it, and half of the time mad and sad about it. We started dating since 5th of January 2021, and first month was great and alright.
Once February and March passed by, She (16F) sent me few pics of someone abusing her. We had gotten into an agreement that I would log into her social media account, and fight this guy myself in her name. Before I had logged in her account, she warned me not to scroll up the messages, but I did. This was the moment where I felt betrayed. I saw there, that she spoke me over in every possible way. Profile pic's, Discord statuses, every single messages of mine, every single photo I sent etc. I did also notice she had said she loves him a lot of times. It of course broke my heart, but as I was stupid and inexperienced in relationship stuff, as it was my first relationship ever, so I forgave her and stopped thinking about it for some time and lived on. I also blocked the guy, but I didn't log off of her accouno because I was overthinking and wanted to be sure she won't unblock him, but anyways I thought it's alright and he won't bother us anymore.
April came, and sometimes she would be mad about the way I spoke about the guy (this guy also, was a 13yo neo na*ist from Canada, and would sexualize her and say I am bad (that's a bit true, since I also sexualized her a bit, but I had realized it and I really regret it to this day) and many more stuff) as I saw clear signs of her being friends with him, because I still was in her account and saw her message him. It made me feel really bad about her behavior and how she sees him as a good person, whilst he betrayed every friend of his, shared their nudes etc.
But May came. After all this painful stuff, I decided to kinda fake a thing, and told her that once I saw those messages about me in March, I cut my wrist, to which she reacted the way it had to back in March; she blocked him everywhere truly. Also, he would earlier, and later on too, come up at the worst moments, where we enjoyed each other, and break everything good, changing it to bad stuff. The same month, May, I also saw her text another guy (her ex apparently, 22M iirc) and seeing they text each other the lovely way, made me overthink and break my trust to her. I kept telling her to stop, as it makes me not feel like she cares about me, but she didn't.
June came, and like around 14th I succeeded on stopping her of doing that. Around this time, she told me she has contact with the same guy from March, since a friend of hers asked her for help with this guy. We came to an agreement of me logging into her 2nd, main account of hers. This was when things went down too. I had done what I was supposed to, like roast that guy for many things in my, at that time, gf's name but stayed logged on. Once my gf was asleep, I logged in her account, and started to look around the messages with this neo na*i guy. Of course, all this time since March, she still had contact with him. Most of the time, I felt down, and had possibly one mental breakdown, and couldn't feel a thing. Also, on 9th I had birthday, on which nobody had celebrated it, not family, not friends, but only my gf did celebrate it with me. But that's how June looked.
July. Things were alright, the way I wanted. Halfway through it, aaand this neo na*i guy came back. I started feeling wrong since morning, and worse over time, but she didn't care. She was becoming friends with him again, as she got told by him that he changed. But I didn't see it. The same day, they acted like a couple. Later this day, I told my other friend about the situation, so we decided that my friend will take her gf and help me and my gf with it. We created a group chat, but my gf never cooperated, and thought I just created a setup. We were sitting there and chatting all 3 (without my gf) trying to help her realize what she does, and break away from this guy, but she didn't listen. Then my gf sent a pic in this group chat, which shows that she and this guy are not friends anymore. To be sure, I went on to her account, and went to a server where she and him were still. I also had seen worst messages, where she told him she temporarily unfriends him, and will friend him again soon, which made me say "enough", so I went to this group chat back, and let my feelings do their thing. I let my emotions out on her, which she (for the first time in relationship) finally realized, but I broke up with her for the first time. Two days after, while I was slowly okay with anything and was in relationship with her again (I honestly don't know why I forgave her everything, but I possibly will explain later) but I decided to create a fake account of my friend, to check her loyalty. I asked her to unblock and friend this guy, as he wants to check up on her. She did that. And that's when I broke up with her the second time, but came back again (I hate myself) to her. I also never wanted to let go off her, because of the fear of a complete loneliness and no care of others. This was the first person that really found me interesting (maybe?) so it kept me be with her.
August. Nothing much happened here, I slowly started reflecting on this relationship, and was realizing all the bad stuff. She still wanted to be with me, even if I told her it's better to be alone for both of us, and the reason why she did all of that, is that it's difficult for her to understand things without visualisation or something. I was trying to end it, but she didn't want to. I tried enjoying the relationship, but I had trauma from March and February, and had her cheating on me twice on my mind all the time.
September. Climax month. I decided to finally end it all on my hand, telling her I am done with her. She lied to me all the time, for like 80% of time she didn't care about me, she betrayed me with that nai guy, and cheated on me twice with him and other one guy. I broke my contact with her finally, blocked everywhere, and within time I started deleting everything bonded with her (pic's, statuses etc.) and moved on. I wanted to clear my mind off, so having head busy with school helped me a lot to go out of it. Nowadays, I see her enjoying her life with someone else, and that she lives fine now. Also in the end, she tried manipulating me that she'll do something to herself if I leave her. She didn't do anything to herself. But anyways, what I saw on her other social media from my second account, is that her friends said I manipulated her (what?) and I wasn't right, and she also said I *never cooperated on fixing the relationship. But how was I supposed to forgive her what I said in August part? It wasn't right. But I still am happy I moved on. Today, I feel happier and more free from her, I feel really good.
Now we are moving out of this topic, and moving to other part
Family, school and friends part;
We all had some dark times in our life. Mine? I had too. Lived in very poor family (also, am from Poland and life here is really depressing and sad) in my childhood, and we really hadn't had any money for a bread even, fridge was always empty, and I remember that I saw an empty box of some meat only in there. I was not the most hygienic (or a word that u use for cleaning and taking care of ur body) person at that time, but we lived on. My mom was living somewhere else, dad was taking care of us, but was visiting us for one weekend per two weeks, so my grandma was caring about me and paying for stuff. I was walking to school in quite poor clothing, once I even went there with a hole in my pants, and I was laughed for that by class and people. Especially by one guy, and I will tell about him in a while. Grades and learning was alright, just a normal kid.
Now to the worse part. At my age of 10, I had felt something inside. Something really great, something amazing. And of course, those were my first butterflies in stomach. I started falling for one girl from my class, and I started liking her, but we never had spoken to each other, nor had any contact (fun fact; nowadays, we are walking to the same school, but we're pretending we don't know each other). I decided to confess to, let's say, X guy about my feelings. This was when the hell started. He asked me if I want her nudes, to which I replied "are you stupid? No!" As I didn't also knew what nudes word is standing for. So, the next day came, everyone in class knew about my feelings to her. Second day after my confession, everyone in school knew about it. And that's where I think I buried my hopes of even talking to her, I was laughed at probably, if I remember, and for how poor I was, so that ended. Around like 2 weeks have passed, and I hear what? That everyone thinks I had took a nude pics of her, and I've thrown them into the internet, which obviously was a lie, since I was rarely going to school at that time, and my internet speed was not even letting me visit google most of the time. I had to see a psychologist, and I saw my crush crying, psychologist asked me questions about it all, but I kept denying and was saying I didn't do anything. That's all for the first school time, since a while after, we had to move to our mom, and leave our home at a time of 21st May (most likely) 2016.
Living with mom was okay, we had everything we needed, school stuff like books, pencils and others, food, free time activity and etc. 2016 year passed alright, so did 2017, 2018 and 2019. I had some crushes on the way, I made some friends in the new school, some things still weren't best but we lived on. Sometimes I visited my dad, and everything was okay.
But then came the year of 2020. Words of an unknown virus, which started spreading all over the world. Media we're talking about it non stop, future was unknown. March came, first covid case detected. 8 cases found, government decided to give us lockdown. Woohoo, no school! E learning was introduced, 2 weeks after, so anybody could do anything they wanted behind their screen in their house. I didn't attend to any lesson at that time, due to my fear of socializing and poor internet (still, but that changed in vacations). During that lockdown, I was also finding and realizing stuff about myself. I found out that my classmates only messaged me to ask for homework from English (as I was really great from it, and u can see the results of my knowledge here. I don't know myself how I knoe this language, so yeah), maybe other lessons too. I wasn't asked how I am, or about anything besides it. So I felt alone. I found out that I am a 101% introvert. I started liking anime and anything about it. I decided to make friends, internet ones of course (including toxic ex) and lived through it. At June, situation was better. Summer vibe. Attended to my last, 8th grade exams (to then move to a middle school of any choice of mine) and they went great. I passed them, and I was happy about it. I applied for a school I wanted to go (technical school, ICT specialist) and I was picked, so I felt amazing at that time. Vacations went on, I spent the time actively, riding my bike every day nearly, listening to music all the time, and enjoyed that life which I had. September 2020. First day in a new school. Checking out where everything was, and seeing all those new, different people, meeting them and etc. First weeks were tough, since new environment wasn't best to me, nobody liked me from class, and I was looking at others, being jealous of how they like spending time with each other. I had one true friend at that time, from my previous school, so it wasn't bad. Had some problems with attending to school, felt really depressed alike (season depression I'd say) and so I had two suicide attempts, if u can take it up like that, as I cut my wrist with a knife lightly, and took like 15 pills. October then came in, first week in school, second I was under quarantine due to one member of my family being in contact with a person who tested positive for covid, and the rest of the month, we've been given e learning, all up until May of 2021. Throughout all these times, it was alright, I liked it all and was okay. So now to the moment of today
September 2021. After I broke from my ex, I felt like I need friends. So I started trying to make some, and get closer to class, and I am still doing that to this day. I had thought "hey, maybe let's look for a good looking girl and befriend her?" And possibly making my first ever irl friendship with a girl ever. I saw one okay looking girl, but felt something nice towards her. Monday, I only walked up to her, scared and shy, and said she looks pretty, then walked away. Thursday, I walked up to her and spoke a little. I asked her to go out to the park and get to know each other, she disagreed because she was busy. (definitely a lie. Also, don't blame me, some people said it's alright to ask people to go out on the first day of talking) Friday, I tried talking to her again, so I said hi to her, she only ignored me. That's when I felt bad and gave up on her. I moved on really easily. So later in the month, I made a bit of more friends, and felt okay
October 2021. This month is truly bad for me. Maybe not in all aspects, but some, yep. First of all, I looked for other nice looking girls. And I found one, I was afraid of talking to her, but I saw one of my friends talking to her, so after school I messaged him and asked about contact to her. I succeeded, and got contact to her, so I messaged her and said I was too shy to talk to her. And we then kept talking and all, the next day we had school again, and as we ride the same bus to school, I asked her about sitting next to her, to which she agreed. So that day came, and I happily entered the bus, saw her, and sat next to her, feeling amazing. We spoke for the whole time, and on our way to school, we did too. We like eachother (as friends) and it's all going alright. She is a person that I have to perfectly approach. She likes a lot of personal space, which I respect and give, she also likes being alone for a lot of time. We came to an agreement, that we will sit alone in the bus, and walk to school together, to make it comfy for us. This friendship started st 12th of October, and is my true first friendship with a female. Nowadays we talk some, but due to me lacking social interactions, and needing some great contact quick, am speeding some stuff, but I am now on a good track. The only thing is that I don't know what I feel towards her. Her character is really amazing. I love the way she talks about stuff, I like it when she expresses herself. When she is near me, I feel really comfortable and safe, I feel happy and alive, none of my problems exist anymore. If she is not at school, I don't feel at my best. It's like she's my crush, but I don't know exactly if she is. I don't feel anything towards her feelingwise, but still something pulls me to her and I can't stop thinking about her (most of the time about friendly interactions, like comforting, hugging (oh also, I really love and need hugs to feel great, but I don't have anyone to give them. Last one was at 5th of October 2020 at 3pm, and I still remember it, as it was the most precious time of my life. But I am sure it's too early still, to hug my crush, as a hi and goodbye sign, and she said she doesn't like hugs too much), spending time together outside, in park and etc. So I barely think of relationship things like kissing and etc. And never about sex things). Her character basically makes me feel impressed, and she also looks amazing to me. But I really don't know how do I act, how do I feel towards her, and anything else. Every basic stuff, I never experienced. So I don't know what to do here.
School. I'll tell about my actual situation. I studied for one - one and half an hour for a test from maths, and understood everything good, and could do exercises without problems. I attended to the test, I did every exercise good, and was expecting like 4 (B) grade or something. But once I got to know my grade, I was really mad and sad. 1+ (F+) from a test that was easy? Meh. And another one test, was the same. I am focusing my best on lessons, am learning, am writing in notebook everything from the board, yet I fail still. Same with chemistry. Easy test, I studied for it for an hour, and it also was easy. But results? 2 (E) grade. I mean it isn't bad, but man, it was so heckin easy.
I'd say it's depressions fault, as I may forget about some stuff, and I can't concentrate on lessons too much even if I try. Most of the time, I am sad and down, I nearly cry everyday due to not having friends, not meeting anyone etc. The only time I am happy, is when I am with friends, but happiest when I am with crush. Her magic aura protects me from problems, and I don't worry about them. Problem is, that she doesn't always have time, which I accept, since I won't force her to stop studying only to meet and help me, making me selfish and annoy her. Nono, I want her to do her stuff firstx which she planned, then fit meeting with me somewhere. I haven't met with her yet btw. I also have slight suicidal thoughts, of me stabbing myself in stomach, and cutting wrist. Something tells me to do it, something motivates me to do it. But I am trying to leave those thoughts and not think about them. I am crying, listening to sad music and playing some games to partly leave these bad thoughts.
Family. This week has been rough. In like Wednesday, I felt really bad inside for unknown reason, felt depressed a lot alike. Later this day, I conflicted with my older sister (22) about me not letting her go on pc and do her stuff in game (but like wth, she MUST play the same game on two phones at once (I have bluestacks on my pc)) which is annoying. Soon after I let her in from annoyance, and we started arguing a lot, about her playing it on two phones at the same time, about me being dumb, about her cheating on tests the whole life and that she calls me dumb while I study some last times and etc. But what hurt me the most, is that she said that I don't want to share my problems with her. I told her that if I don't feel like sharing my private problems with her, then I won't share them. She had a clear problem with that. Soon afterwards, she said she doesn't want to walk in someone's private stuff, which obviously made no sense. She was mad that I don't trust her, because of her being an asshole for the whole life, and never being good in anything. Always treats people bad, everyone has bad sides, everyone us terrible but she is awesome. Boyfriend? Well her type would be someone who earns a lot and looks fine and has a great character. But when someone messages her, she blocks then instantly and says bad stuff about them. Also she was feeling bad about me not saying I feel bad today, so she would give me space. But I did say it, and she did what? She started tickling and trying to force me to smile. And she clearly could see that I was feeling bad, because of my behavior. This is sick and makes me freak out. Once we stopped, I went to sleep and cried a lot (I am really emotional too) and spoke a bit with my crush about it all, as she is really the only person who is by my side I suppose (well not always, because she needs a lot of space as I said) but in my thoughts, I imagine myself crying in her shoulder and etc. And this is the only thing that makes me feel happy, even if it won't happen anytime soon, perhaps. It also may annoy her, how attached I got to her, but I am trying to not get way too close, and keep at a good distance.
The day after, mom's boyfriend came back home from his private stuff in Austria. He welcomed me, to which I replied with a simple head nod, and didn't knew what to say too. Soon later, we were normally talking about anything, still at my worst mood, which I can't escape yet. While listening to music, I heard him talk to my older sister about me, so I took one ear phone out and listened. Sister was laughing at my behavior and how dumb I am (meh) and he was not saying too much.
Another day. It happened yesterday. I was feeling somewhat bad about going home, but I went home anyways. Once I got there, I was not doing much as always. Just playing games, so nothing new. Mom came in, and told me to come in a while as she wants to talk about something. As I don't value games too much, I found a hiding spot there and went to my mom 5 seconds after being called. After entering the room, I got questioned why I don't talk to him, so I replied without thinking, that I also have my humor and emotions, and asked if I can't feel sad. We kept arguining and etc. She also criticised me for my new profile pic on facebook, and that it looks bad and etc. But I didn't say much about it. I only told her the painful truth, like once she said she never has time for anything, so I can't come in and ask her anything. That she doesn't show her mother love, and I never heard her asking how I feel today or how was it at school (sometimes she asked about school, but only near her boyfriend, never she asked it out of herself) and how uncaring she is, if it comes to stuff e.g. when my heart hurts, or anything else, she always laughs, gets mad at me and says I am simulatiing and "all those school sicknesses" are back again. She never was proud of me about my good grades, she always saw bad ones, but it's normal everywhere. What also hurts me a lot, is that she always plots about me to make herself look as a more liked person around family and friends. Like in September. I was near her, while she was with friends, and startes talking about me, how I was crying about my phone breaking (it suicided basically, had it in pocket while riding a bike, and it slid out of it, and unfortunately landed under my tyre so I drove over it) through phone, while I clearly remember, that I was laughing that it cracked, and was not even sad about it. There were many more situations like this. But back to yesterday, I also heard from her that I don't help her. While I sometimes go to her and ask for help, she always reolies with "I did it already" "nothing to help" and that I have to feel when she wants help (her character and behavior is always the same so when I can feel she needs help?) Well yes, I can like see she does chop wood alone, but as I come and ask if I can do that, she replies with "no" which makes me say "okay" and not think about getting a second axe and help, but man.. Also, she did ask me to get wood from a shed to home past month, and I did it EVERY SINGLE TIME SHE ASKED without doubting or moving it on to a later date. We also mentioned money stuff, she said she doesn't earn a lot. I of course replied with this: I know that we don't earn millions and we can't afford for shoes for 200 pln (50 dollars, Poland is quite bad with lowest paychecks, but 3 people earn in this family so we don't lack money) or iPhone 13 for 5k pln (around 1.2k dollars, dunno) but goddangit, at least we could have a lovely situation in home, caring atmosphere but there is not.
Soon after arguing, I went to my room and stayed there, and mom's boyfriend came in and said why I don't talk to him, and I said I do talk but I also need some space too, then said that he wants to know the problems so he will solve them if I want, so I said that I will tell when I want, and if I say I don't wanna share my problems, then I won't share them, but he still told me to tell them, and I replied that he wants to force me to day my problems, which makes me feel uncomfortable and breaks my trust to them. But, the thing is, that whenever I'd say my problem to him, he would tell these things to my mom and make a drama out of it. Imo, he is overreacting a lot.
After it all, I have really severe suicidal thoughts, and other stuff. I just want some caring, amazing, hug giving friends (I don't need relationship that much if I am getting hugs anytime I and they want, but I won't bother not being in relationship again) and a great atmosphere in home. I am afraid of going here from school now, am scared of going out of my room, and I didn't ate or drank anything since yesterday yet.
I think that's it. I wanted to let it out. I was writing this whole text for like 2 and half an hour, and tried to keep it in a good look. If u read that, then thanks. Even if u read it, it's a help still. I am sorry for any typos or making text not make sense somewhere, but I am overwhelmed by this stuff. Out of it all, I just hope my crush will at least give me a hug one day and agree to be best friends, then I can peacefully die. Thanks again and be safe dear reader!

Here's my top-notch spec list

Any ideas?
