2024.05.21 20:45 ElizabethKenobi0621 Brothers chaotic marriage

My brother married an actual psychopath. My brother (40) married the scummiest scum of the earth. Who can only be described as a whore, a psycho, sociopath and an all around terrible human being. It was against the wishes of EVERYONE. For back story…She had a child by another man… and only had him (in november) to live off the government. he met the stray hoe took care of her and her unborn child. they started dating in september and by christmas she had drained his bank account. He moved in with her days after christmas. Proposed. And got married sometime between march and june i honestly can not be bothered to know exactly when. The night before brother was admitted to the er for staph infection in his berries. After the “wedding” that was in the back yard of some pastor . they had a “reception”. Where i photographed/observed the following. A used tampon on washing machine. Shit filled diapers littering the nursery. A surreal amount of clothing on the bed. I said nah im good. And went home. The wedding was in may and she got my brother to legally adopt her child. Im forever convinced if not for my brother she would casey anthony her child. She Munchausened her kid and my brother. Self diagnosing the kid with autism. Pushed or made my brother fall and get multiple concussions. Drugged him with date rape drugs to keep control of him. She was a frequent flier to the ER going to the emergency room for unnecessary reasons. She refused to parent her child insisting that its the worlds job to teach him the bare minimum. She refused to clean as well. Her cockroaches had cockroaches. Cleanliness was mental illness for her. She kicked my brother out asking for divorce. But realized she had to leave bc he paid the bills. She stayed with whoever the hell would take her. Was forced to walk wherever she needed to go. And uttered the words “well i had to walk in the rain so theres my bath for the week” after growing tired of not having his card and money she came crawling back. She avoided parenting like the plague. Every excuse. Uti. Migraine. Yeast infection. Its a tuesday. When her son was 2 she left to go to another state and go to school for being a truck driver. Had no qualms of leaving her kid behind for weeks. Then she dropped out of 18 wheeler school. It seems the wheels on her bus fell off. For someone who doesnt believe proper hygiene was important she didnt believe bathing him and basic care was important. Feet encrusted in dirt and dirt under overgrown nails. It was so noticeable that when i cut his nails his teacher made comment about it. Her family was just as absent as you would expect. Her mother only went to the first birthday party when the child was 6. And didnt even know her own grandchild. Asked another child at the party if he had the best birthday! My mom looked at her and said “yeaaa thats the wrong kid…” Fast forward when the first born was 6 and she birthed her second. This had no change and her parenting never improved. Another child encrusted in dirt. After the youngest turned a year and a half my brother had knee surgery and stayed with us (me mom dad) to recover because she would have made him cook clean and parent. While he was healing for the week he was there she moved in her boyfriend AND girlfriend. By the way she not only a hoe she is a promiscuous hoe with no moral compass. I promised my mom id never call CPS however when the second was 2 i had a friend call cps. Like a special ops team cops went in at 2 am and gathered the children and brought them to me and my parents. We had the 2 year old and a friend of the hoe had the 8 year old. For 2 weeks my brother agonized over his kids being taken. And she had a vacation. She treated it as if having your kids repo’ed as a right of passage. Told the world. Told the teacher. And had the time of her stupid life. In the 2 weeks i had them i had minions collecting screenshots of statuses of her being a bad mother. Which was super easy bc every thought made it to facebook. Such as. “My dentist suggested i brush my teeth at least once a day” “i guess i was doing (brother) with the wrong meds and made him sick” “why dont grandparents raise our children” i gathered these gems and photographic evidence of the state of the house and cleanliness of children to cps, police and eventually divorce lawyer. During their time together the hoe broke my brother mentally spiritually emotionally physically financially. The food stamps ran out in the first week of every month spent on junk soda and unnecessary nonsense. They had to ask my mother for money that accumulated to the tune of $10,000 over 10 years. She is also a gofundme whore. She would start a gofundme 10-12 times a year for any and everything. She decided at one point to go back to school and did an amazon wishlist for school supplies and a gofundme for “gas food and other expenses”. Being the trash human she is she is friends with people of unsavory character. An actual crack head bought her entire amazon wishlist. Which she put on facebook. Yikes. At one point she found a dog and instead of finding the owner she finders keepers that poor pup. Making yet another gofundme for dog expenses. I told my friends i would paaaay them to claim the dog as theirs so my mother didnt pay for yet another mouth to feed. If youre curious about the gofundmes and if they were ever fruitful… when a bull milks a calf will her gofundme work. The final year of their marriage was no less chaotic. The christmas of 2019 she posted on facebook that its so wonderful that her husband is out working and her boyfriend is sleeping next to her and her girlfriend is cooking. Tagging the aforementioned on facebook. My brother was humiliated because infront of church members family and friends his marriage and all the stupidity that came with it was out in the open for all to judge. My brother was at the time a corrections officers and let his kind nature and naivety get him in trouble. A person asked him to take some taco bell to an inmate and in what could only be called a moment of stupidity (sorry mom) he did so. what he didnt know is they put drugs in it and when it was scanned he was arrested. My mom and dad had to bail him out too him home and around 3 am he called me “they voted me out” beyond confused i asked what the hell does that mean? As it turned out. Hoe boyfriend and girlfriend unanimously voted him out of the house. Mind you. Single wide trailer housing 4 adults 2 kids a dog and cats. June of 2020 he moved back in a month later if the children followed. after the actual breadwinner left the house the unemployed baboons could not pay the rent and were kicked out. The three went down to two with the girlfriend being let go. Hoe and boyfriend moved in with her mother. And boyfriend wrecked the car in my brothers name. Dui and head on collision. Car gone! The children stayed with us. The youngest was 2 at the time and began calling my mom “mommy” which pissed off the hoe. And she never contacted them. At the hearing for the divorce she stated all she wanted out of the relationship was not money or visitation. But her maiden name back. TAKE IT. AND LEAVE US THE HELL ALONE. She also used a photo of her kids on a gofundme to get sympathy and posted that to a fetish website. Seeing as the photo was them shirtless i believe that was on purpose. She dumped boyfriend and found a new love in new hampshire. She was in NH for 8 months with her new boyfriend and he lost his job so they moved back down. After a summer of no contact she called and told the children “when i get home we are going to….” And listed about 10 events places and activities to look forward to. None of which she delivered on. After not spending time with them again and choosing to give up her weekend with them to play video games for 30 HOURS STRAIGHT. She eventually in 2024 decided that her and her boyfriend were moving to Massachusetts. Seeing how she is a practicing witch my only hope is the salem witch trials reconvene. She married the dude she abandoned her kids for. On mothers day the children who no longer give a damn she exists were forced to call and tell her happy mothers day. Where the 6 year old proceeded to tell her the older brother got a phone and didnt wanna give her his number. She assured him that as his mother its quite alright to give mommy dearest the number to which the youngest said yea no he doesnt want to. The mouths of babes. She cried and posted on facebook not only do her children hate her but she had to give up her cats too. And wished the “real mom’s of the world a happy mothers day” shes a shit cat mom too! A week after we had spaghetti for dinner and the 6 year old said “i never used to like spaghetti. I only tried it at… whats her names house? Jordan? Yea her house” With their father engaged to a good Godly woman with morals and standards the worst mother to ever mother has been replaced and so far we are all living happily ever after. The moral of the story is if you lay down with dogs you get up with fleas what if you lay down with whores end up with bedbugs and that was a very costly moral

2024.05.21 19:16 WanabeInflatable Writing RR/matriarchy fiction for fun?

It is difficult to find real life RR relationship. Especially not an option if you are already taken. There are various vents and one of them - reading or writing fiction. There were topics about RR in scifi written by prominent authors. But how about you? Do you write or maybe have ideas for fantasy setting or world-building? Please share.
Couple examples from me:
Setting 1. Right man in the wrong time
In XXI century experiments on recording human personalities started, a lot of people were "read" and saved on hard-drives, but there were no technology to create artificial bodies for them. So the personalities of test subjects, volunteers and commerical clients remained stored. In parallel genetic treatment research lead to tech that could exteng lifespan, but unfortunatelly it had side-effects of higher risk of cancer for men. As a result this tech only worked well for women. Because of that a lot of parents started to chose female gender for their kids, as their daughters could live much longer than sons. This shifted gender balance and led to female-dominated society. Which sort rewritten history portraing the past of male-dominance in shades of black and all the men of the past as abusive, power-hungry despots. It was backed by statistical facts such as drop in crime rate with reduction of male population.
Eventually the anti-male campaign receded and some interest and curiocity towards men returned, but there were few men left and they were often too spoiled and not very attractive. So there was a high demand for men in various spheres of, well, entertainment. Besides of lack of supply there was a conflict between romantized image of primal men and fear that their brute force may be too disruptive in a disarned pacifist decadent society. A commercial solution was found - a company manufactured artificial male bodies that were looking hot and attractive, big in all the right places, yet lacked the brute force, were very light and designed to be harmless to women. Even a teenage girl could easily overpower them. They used the stored consciousness of men from XXI century and put these men into new artificial bodies. Bodies were not cheap, so the resurrected men owed a big loan to the company and had to work basically for free to pay off the debt...
Story is about a girl who rented such a guy as a birthday present for herself. She had to return him soon, but they figured out that his knowledge can help her a lot with her studies. Despite some technological advance, few people of her epoch can really understand principles behind the science - they can use it, maybe replicate, but not understand or advance.
So besides a romatic affair they can work together to help her and studies and suddenly a "genius", once she makes a career and earn some money - she can pay off his debt. And until then - rent him from time to time for both pleasure and studies.
-- I liked the story but it is long abandoned --
Setting 2. Purple letter
Every invention can be used for evil. So called Selena transformation was quickly adopted by shady brothels - it allowed to transform women in ideal sex-slaves or walking sex-toys. Very attractive perfect bodies, not aging, able to move and speak, but weak and helpless, easily stored after "work shift" and unable to run away. This was of course against law, but went under radar for a while, a ot of women were converted against their will. Then one of them escaped with the help of a client who smuggled her from a brothel and was eventually killed by thugs. Nevertheless, she managed to get help went to TV. She told her story and that caused a huge impact. Police raided brothels and found thousands of victims... A lot of people went to jail, but public outrage shifted from those who run these illegal dens to those who paid for their services and were silent... This caused a political shift and a lot of blame by association.
Some male politicians, celebritites decided to voluntary undergo Selena transformation. This way they demonstrated solidarity with female victims and scored a lot of points. This was good for career and removed the burden of "male guilt" from them. This made them physically weak and thus not dangerous to women anymore. Also reduced their individual carbon footprint. Last but not least - change made them look more sexy.
Some militant feminists and these male allies gained more political power and pushed mandatory transformation for jailed criminals. Reducing their danger and also reducing costs of prisons. Transformation of men went to industrial scale: it reduced crime and also was "green". Eventually it become mandatory and special comission decided who and when must come to the tf-hospital and be transformed. They sent men so called "Purple letters" - instruction to come up and pass transformation. Job perspectives were sour for remaining "organic" as insurance discounts motivated business to fire organic men and only hire transformed, because they were safer for women.
Also transformed that didn't volunteer require a "guardianship" of a woman. Such as wife, girlfriend or female boss. If there is no such woman - guys are sent to adoption centers that are nicknamed "boyshops".
Plot of the story is about two friends that were transformed and soon adopted by two ladies. Not for "fun", or at least not just for fun. Ladies run a business and required some new employes, they figured that the can just purchase two guys instead of hiring them...
-- This story contains 4 chapters so far but is also on hold, not much readers' interest --
Just wanted to share the settings and hopefully read some RR-fantasy setting ideas you guys have

2024.05.21 06:34 Professional_Base68 Anyone know this novel? I don’t know the title and want to read it!!

"We're your mates." Mates? Six mates? How could it be?! "Wait a minute... you said all of you. That's not how mates work. Fated mates are two people, not an entire harem." I hissed as I shook my head. "This conversation is ridiculous because it's not real." Silence filled the space between us for several long seconds. "You really want us to leave?" My stomach twisted at his words. We just met, and yet he sounded devastated as he asked the question. I silently cursed myself for causing the change I heard. If I was a better person, I would say something else. "Yes." "Fine, we'll leave, but only on one condition. Buss each one of us. Then, if you feel nothing, we'll walk out of here without protest." ———————— I would die in this very spot, and no one would have a clue. Six hours... I'd been trapped under this pile of random things for six hours. My hips and back ached from how long I'd been stuck in this exact position. I'd tried everything I could think of, but the massive pile of unknown stuff never moved. Something heavy had landed on my back, keeping me pinned face down on scattered newspapers and the occasional book. How did I know there were books when I couldn't see them? Because of the sharp corners stabbing into me. If that level of depressing suckage wasn't enough, I had to pee. My bladder hurt... felt like it was about to burst. Because of course, the first time I decided to drink spirits, I'd end up faced and trapped under a pile of a hoarder's treasure. To relieve some of the pressure off my cheek, I dug my shoulder into the newspaper floor and tilted my head until my forehead pressed against the mess underneath me. The small amount of relief I felt from the change of position was enough to stop me from going insane. For now. Ding dong. "You've got to be shitting me." I grumbled into the ancient newspapers. Someone at the door wouldn't matter. I couldn't get off the floor... erm, pile of stuff that acted as a floor, to answer the door. Whoever was on the other side would eventually think someone wasn't home and leave. And so would my only chance at being rescued. "Ha." I couldn't stop the sarcastic laugh from escaping. Even if they did come in, whoever they were wouldn't want to sign up for this insanity. I didn't even want to deal with this nightmare my life had become. Thanks mom. Ding dong. Ding dong. Who rang the doorbell multiple times? Seriously, just go away and let me die. Sure, I would be in the hall of shame for dumb ways to go, but I'd already accepted my fate. Not only would I die in one of the most embarrassing ways in history, I'd go with the dullest life experiences. Why? Because I'd always done what I was supposed to do... every single expectation my parents had, I jumped at the chance to please them. I was an idiot. A boring, lame, not once destined to save the world, sheltered little girl that grew in an inexperienced woman. My life was pathetic. "Parker, are you okay?" The deep voice sent shivers through me. I imagined this unknown man growling in my ear. Then my senses came back to me. While I was on the verge of being crushed to death, someone had broken into my house. Great, just what I needed. Good luck mister robber. If you can find anything valuable, then you deserved it. The logical side of my brain caught up to current events. First thing, a robber wouldn't call out my name as he broke into my house. Second, I didn't know anyone with a voice so delicious... uh, I meant distinct. Yeah. Should I respond or hope they gave up and left? My mother would have insisted I remain silent. Her voice slid through my memory. "Men were a distraction to a woman's career." I rolled my eyes at the phrase she'd said throughout my childhood and even after I'd moved out on my own. If I was going to leave this world, it would be after doing something ridiculous. I'd call the man with the delicious voice over, then I could die from embarrassment. "I'm over here!" What I'd intended to be a shout came out more as a breathy moan. I barely had room to breathe. It seemed shouting was impossible. A burning hot pain shot through my neck as I tried to turn my head to see the footsteps that approached. Nope, that wasn't going to happen. My mysterious, silver tongued hero or burglar's looks would have to remain a mystery just a bit longer. "Over here!" Just like last time, his voice made me shudder. With a voice like that, the man had to be hot. I hoped he had a beard... and tattoos. Not only would it make my mother roll in her grave, I'd always loved looking at burly, tatted up, bearded guys. Add in hair that was long enough to pull and I couldn't think of a good reason to ever leave the house. The crushing weight finally lifted off me. I sucked in a deep breath, then immediately regretted it as I choked on the oxygen. My lungs seized as the rush of air shocked them. Hands grabbed my arms and shoulders, then the world tilted as they lifted me to my feet. I bent over and grabbed my knees as my equilibrium spun. Hands patted my back, helping me calm. Actually, there were more than two hands. I counted enough to equal three people. When I got my breathing under control, I dared follow the black boots that stood at the top of my vision. My gaze slid up, taking in black cargo pants that rode low on a pair of hips. Further up, a black tactical vest contained... bottles of cleaning solution. What the heck? The moment I went full vertical, my balance tilted again. I stepped back to catch myself. In front of me stood a massive man, the kind I had to look up to just to catch a view of his chin... his bearded chin. My fingers itched with the need to touch it. I didn't. It would be weird to stroke a hot stranger's beard. Wouldn't it? I shook my head. Of course it would be weird. I turned, taking in the four men and one woman standing all around me. The sound of newspapers sliding preceding my right foot slid out from underneath me. The giant of a man caught me before I fell on my hips in front of everyone. They all wore similar black tactical gear with cleaning supplies. Colorful bottles of solution, a duster, a roll of trash bags, and... was that a broom and a mop with shoulder straps? Who were these people? "Parker, are you okay?" The deliciously deep voice asked from behind me. After a few tries, I accepted the fact that I was speechless. My brain nudged at me, telling me I'd missed a crucial detail. Every brain cell misfired as I looked them over again. Correction, five of them wore black tactical gear. Every single one of them was drop dead gorgeous, and it made me feel out of place. One of the guys stood off to the side with his arms crossed over his chest. I blinked. No, that couldn't be right. I blinked again, but the sight stayed the same. A man stood taller than those closest to him. Peeking over his crossed arms was a ruffled white fabric with black lace woven through it and tied in a bow. There was even a small scattering of chest hair sticking over the edge. The hem of the skirt ended well above his knee, revealing a tattoo that covered his entire right thigh. My gaze traveled up to his face. A plush black beard contrasted with the skimpy maid's outfit he wore. "I..." Words failed me again. I gestured to the man whose outfit didn't fit the others. He rolled his eyes as he tightened his grip on his arms. "They thought it would be funny to prank me. Did you know, not only did they buy this ridiculous outfit, they stole the rest of my clothes, so I'd have to wear this?" "Uh, no. I don't even know who all of you are." For whatever reason, it hadn't dawned on me that all these incredibly attractive people were standing in my house. Like inside, where they could take in the horror of what my mother left me to inherit. Mortification slammed into me. They'd seen the awful mess. "You all need to leave." "Parker?" The burly man's voice from behind me caught my attention. He waited until I turned around to continue. "You don't remember asking us to come here, do you?" Ice slid down my spine. I'd been pretty drunk last night, but since I'd never had spirits before and I'd decided to take shots of everything in my mother's 'social hour' cabinet, I wasn't even surprised I'd woken up with a hangover. "How much did you have to drink last night?" "Seeing how I'm awake now, apparently not enough. Who are you, and how do you know me?" The man bared his teeth at me, making a sound that I could only describe as a hiss. "Never again. From now on, if you need something, you ask us." I dismissed him with a wave of my hand. "Why would I ask you anything?" "Because we're your mates." Hard stop. Mates? A giddy feeling in my belly told me he didn't mean a friend. I held a finger up for him to give me a minute. A sharp pain slid through my abdomen, reminding me I had yet to relieve myself after my drunken night of mistakes. One of the other men spoke up. "I know it's a lot to take in, and you're probably really confused, but we are all your fated mates." I'd read enough werewolf romance novels to know what they meant, and they were dead wrong. Shifters weren't real. "Yeah mate, tell us what you need, and we'll get it for you." "I need to pee." And with that, I stomped out to the nearest bathroom and locked myself inside. Why wouldn't the ground open and swallow me whole? I sat on the bathroom floor with my back propped against the wall and hugged my legs to my chest as I rested my forehead on my knees. Not only had people witnessed the horror I lived in, but they had to be the hottest people in the world. Even the woman had made me look twice and left me shoving a deeper desire I refuse to even consider right now. Knock, knock. "Parker?" It was the giant of a man's voice. Why couldn't they leave so I could be alone? "Go away." I heard sounds on the other side of the door that sounded like he'd sat on the floor. "Come out and talk to us." I pressed my forehead against my knee harder, trying to ignore the giant bearded intercourse god. "Or, just talk to me. We're worried about you." My chest seized as I forced myself to take a deep breath. Irrational anger surged inside of me. Why didn't they understand I didn't want them here? "You don't even know me." The sound of his deep chuckle sent a warm wave of desire through me. Stupid hormones. "Twenty-four hours ago, I would have agreed with you. After last night, I feel like I know you on a level most others never will." What did I do last night? I still couldn't remember what I'd done. I swore to myself I'd never drink again. "It was all lies." "Why are you trying to push us away? What would be so wrong with letting someone in to help for once?" Memories of my parents’ fighting came back to me. It was my tenth birthday. When my dad found out my mom bought a cake for my birthday, he'd attacked her. Everything was a blur until he'd pinned her against the wall. She held a knife to his crotch and threatened him. He'd left and never returned that day. My mind shut down, preventing me from thinking about it any longer. "Because I can't afford to pay you and no one does anything out of the kindness of their heart." I couldn't keep the sarcastic tone out of my voice as I said it. "Parker, you're missing a vital part of this dynamic." Silently, I chanted over and over for him to not use the word mates again. It couldn't be real. Paranormal romance novels weren't real... neither were shifters nor the perfect person walking into my life and devoting themselves to me. That was a fairytale, not reality. "Mates. Just to see a smile cross your lips, I'd clean this entire property. Throw in the others, and we'd do anything to see you happy." He tapped something on the door. "I can scent your annoyance through the door." "Wait a minute... you said all of you. Then, if you feel nothing, we'll walk out of here without protest." I banged my head on my knee. That wouldn't work. They weren't even in the room with me and I already felt things. No way could I buss even one of them without having a reaction. "No." "Is that because you already know what I'm saying is true, or are you just being stubborn?" Before I could think about why he had said it, I jumped up and threw the door open to glare at him. "Are you always a jerk?" The confidence disappeared as I looked up into his eyes. He grabbed the doorknob and pulled it closed behind me, pushing me against him in the process. His gaze locked on mine as he lowered his head until we were almost bussing. "Never, but I'm not above riling you up to help give you the boost you need to confront a situation with confidence." Now that he was so close, I couldn't remember why I'd locked myself in the bathroom. Everything around us disappeared except the door his hard body pressed me against. His free hand caressed my cheek. "Can you genuinely tell me you don't feel the bond trying to form between us?" I clamped my jaw closed. If I didn't admit it out loud, then it wasn't real, but he was right. I could feel a... connection to him and the others. It didn't make sense, and I might not want it, but was most definitely there. His lips brushed against mine ever so slightly, sending a wave of fire through me. I gripped the straps of his black tactical vest to pull him closer, but he didn't budge. He chuckled as he moved from my lips to my ear. "Mate, if I buss you, I won't stop until you're mine. It might not be today or tomorrow, but I will claim you and make you mine." "And if I say we're not mates?" "Your mouth might lie, but your body and soul can't." I heard him inhale deep at my neck. "I can smell your need to claim me. It fills my senses until it's all I can think about. I've just found you and already you've consumed my entire world." It was bizarre, but I completely understood what he meant. Somewhere deep down inside of me, the idea of kicking out even one of them left me feeling raw. Six mates... and one of them was a woman. I'd known I was attracted to both genders from a young age, but I'd always locked that part of me away. My mom flipped at the idea of me dating a single man. I couldn't even fathom how hard she was rolling over in her grave at having six lovers. It was so much to process. "Come on, let's go back to the others." His voice pulled me back to reality. "Not yet." Suddenly, I didn't want to move. When I felt his body pull back, I gripped his vest tighter. My gut twisted as I decided to throw a lifetime of caution out the window. "buss me." He growled deep in his chest as his hands slid down my sides until he cupped my hips. A squeal of surprise escaped me as he lifted me up, then held me against his chest as he pressed me against the door. "You're mine... ours." Then his buss consumed me, mind, body, and soul. It felt as if our life forces bonded together. The mere thought of letting go of this man became too much. It was in that moment I realized I'd screwed up. I'd never be able to give him up, or the others, without ripping my own heart from my chest. I regretted so much in my life. What was one more? I sank my hands into his hair, gripping it at the roots, and tilted his head back. Our buss broke. A smug satisfaction slid through me when I realized he was breathing as hard as I was, but I wasn't done throwing out stupid rules my mother had forced on me. I pulled his head until I'd exposed his neck. The edge of a tribal tattoo peeked out under his shirt. I trailed the tip of my tongue along the dark lines, then bussed a trail along his neck. He moved until only one hand cupped my hips. His other hand caressed the back of my neck, urging me to do whatever I wanted to him. I tightened my legs around his waist, lifting myself higher as my busses moved along the edge of his beard. "That is hot." Another man's voice made it through my lusty fog. "Yeah, can't wait until it's my turn." Someone else said. I pulled back and realized my five other mates were watching us make out. All of them had a hunger in their eyes I'd never seen before...

2024.05.21 04:39 AnnualStress5 AITA for going to my brother's wedding even though he uninvited our mom?

Is it too much to ask that this makes it onto the channel but that my family doesn't realize it's me?
Probably, but here we go.
Who: Mom, Brother, SIL (sister-in-law), Aunt, Uncle, Cousin, Dad, and me
When: between 2020 and 2022
Where: the beach and the mountains
What: a wedding
Why: true love ❤️
Our story goes way back to before the wedding in 2022 but after the engagement of Brother and SIL in 2020. It starts in 2021 on a week long vacation to the beach for Mom's 50th birthday. We were staying in a very picturesque condo with 3 separate bedrooms that had direct beach access and the unit was absolutely beautiful with the most amazing views off the patio. On this vacation were 6 people: Mom, Brother, SIL, Aunt, Cousin, and me. We were roomed in pairs: Brother and SIL, Aunt and Cousin, Mom and me. This vacation had been planned months in advance and Mom was so excited she planned out a week of fun activities including a sunset cruise to see dolphins, mini golfing, restaurants, of course beach time, and more.
It was supposed to be a lovely week that was unfortunately marred very quickly by a nasty fight. We arrived late on a Friday and were scheduled to be out by the following Friday. Sunday night after dinner there was a massive argument between SIL and I. I don't even remember all the details now. It culminated when she called me a brat and I called her a b**** and we stormed off to our separate rooms. From here there are 2 versions of the rest of the night.
Mom's Version: While I had a massive panic attack - because I'm Mentally Sick™ - Mom went to the bedroom where Brother and SIL were. She tried to talk to them and tell SIL that she was been very mean to me. She implored SIL to apologize to me, but SIL was being stubborn and refused to talk to me. Mom eventually left the room and came to help me calm down in our room.
SIL's Version: While I had a massive panic attach - because I'm Mentally Sick™ - Mom went to the bedroom where Brother and SIL were. SIL says that Mom started screaming at her and Brother calling them all sorts of nasty names and other terrible things. She even accused SIL of being an abusive person. Meanwhile, Brother was having an epileptic seizure on the bed due to the stress of it all. SIL started crying and having a panic attack of her own as well. Eventually, Mom left the room and came to help me calm down in our room.
I believe that there is some truth in both. I think Mom thinks she was talking nicely and that SIL was being a hard a** but she was coming across a lot louder and meaner than she thought. I also think that SIL was being a little stubborn but for good reason. If she had come out to talk to me I think the fight would have escalated further and the place would have burst into a ball of flames.
Regardless, SIL and Brother stayed in their room for the next day and a half. They only came out for food and water and didn't speak to anyone else. Aunt and Cousin tried to stay out of it but were very much in the middle and it put a bad stain on their vacation. Things cooled off by Wednesday (Mom's birthday) and we all got along mostly for the rest of the week. I apologized to SIL and she apologized to me and we've been good since then. Sadly, the same is not true for SIL, Brother, and Mom.
Throughout the following months things continued to deteriorate between Brother, SIL, and Mom. I don't know all of the details of what contributed to the downfall of their relationship. I do know that Mom continued to make wild accusations at them and then backtrack and try to apologize. This cycle continued up until the wedding.
There was one big accusation that Mom made during this time that was the nail in the coffin for her. She accused Brother of marrying SIL only because she was pregnant. What's absolutely crazy about this is that Brother proposed a year and half before the wedding. They also had their location and date reserved over a year before the wedding as well. So this wasn't even close to being a possibility, but it reallyyyyyy set off Brother and SIL.
While Mom initially got a Save the Date for the wedding, she did not receive a wedding invitation when they sent out the actual invitations. She was crushed by this news that everyone else in the family got an invitation and she, the mother of the groom, did not. Mom eventually started to tell those in the family who were going - primarily Aunt, Uncle, Dad, and I - that we shouldn't be going in solidarity with her. She said that we were "choosing sides" and "against her" because we still planned on going.
Here's the thing: Dad was officiating the wedding and Uncle was a groomsman. Also, Aunt and Uncle were supplying their homemade wine for the wedding. This left Aunt and I in a tricky spot where we wanted to support Mom while she was going through a rough time, but didn't want to skip the wedding. After all, why should we forfeit our spots when Mom kept doing things to dig herself a hole.
Are you ready for the cherry on top of this putrid mess of a wedding cake? SIL and Brother did end up inviting Mom to the wedding and sent an invitation. But they did so 2 weeks before the wedding with some stipulations. She had to sit in the back during the ceremony, she wasn't allowed to go to the reception, and her 28 year old boyfriend was not allowed to come. I think there were other things as well, but those are the main ones. This sent Mom into a frenzy where she continued to make more accusations at Brother and SIL for having the restrictions and not trusting her to behave. She also continued to accuse Aunt and I for taking sides after their "disgusting behavior."
I tried to talk Brother and SIL into inviting her and at least allowing her to come to the reception. I promised I wouldn't allow anything to happen and if something did I would take Mom out. All this to no avail.
Mom decided not to go the wedding. Her reason: she already had other plans that she didn't want to cancel. She reserved a cabin in the woods for some "me time" with her boyfriend and our half-sister. Yeah, not sure how that's "me time" but that ain't my business I suppose. *insert Kermit drinking tea*
I understand that she wanted to go to the cabin she had already paid for for a weekend away. I understand that this whole incident was traumatizing for her as well since she was being excluded from her only son's wedding. She still made the decision to not go though even with the conditions to her invitation.
At the end of the day though, it was a beautiful wedding. Everything went smoothly and though Aunt and I missed her quite a bit, we were able to have a wonderful time despite her absence.
I still stand by my choice to go to the wedding because it's not like me not going would stop the whole wedding. Nothing would have changed other than I would have missed out on a fun party and one of the most important events of my brother's life. However, I want to know what you guys think. Should I have gone? Should I have done something more to try to support my mom?

2024.05.21 01:39 Cumsabit I'm 32 Years old married + 1 amazing child, im wheelchair bound since October 2022 - Never got a diagnosis.

Im in a relation with my wife since High School, since 2010 or so, we both went to the Military first her than me cause im 2 years younger, when she finished i started my journey, during that time in the military it was really hard for me to depart from her, i love and loved her the same since we've met during a school trip abroad, i think for both of us it was a love from the first sight. Since than she was my second half, i can't live without her, can't imagine a day waking up without her hy my side, we had some ups and some downs especially when we were younger, but never seperated for a moment, we had a very strong relationship, we welcomed our son in 2016, it was my happiest moment of my life after our marriage, we married in Prauge, and when we came back home we made another weeding for our friends and family.. At the beginning we had some financial struggle like many other young couples We worked 6/7 days a week, we started to save up, and when i started to notice the stress she experience on her work place i decided to change her life for good, cause such an amazing person like her deserves more than that, so meanwhile i was working at my place i was allowed a smartphone / laptop, and iv started creating our own niche business, worked 8 hours a day + 10 more on our current side project barley slept, ate, lost weight from 90 kilo to 54, i haven't had time to prep meals, but i grinded my ass out, in 2016 we officially staryed making sustainable amounts of money to keep me home to do it full time, and thats when our kiddo was born, so she also had enough financial freedom to stay at home and take care of our child without having all that burden of going to work, nannies, early kindergartens etc.... She stayed at home for the next 5 years raising our child and taking care of him. Since i was working from home i started to drink here and there some whisky, some beers, but not something crazy, i work from home i earn enough money, and she decided to get a small job as extra to save up some money for travelling and buying our first home, we had months with over $100,000 of income, at around late 2018 everything was going up hill, and all of a sudden, our payment methods placed a big halt over our business, and its the first time my life went downhill, I've lost clients, payments were all on hold, for a second my life was at its peak next second felt like im down in the dumps, had to figure out what to do next, had countless hours of research how to sort it out, called every possible banking institution world wide starting from United Stated, endingin Dubai, and thankfully light shined on us, and we made a deal with out local Visa/ and bank to let us accept further payments, we got our first SIP, we starrted to earn again, and life went on perfectly up until my father was diagnosed with throat cancer, where i had to work 24/7 alone on my project and somehow take care of my father, take him to chemo, radiations, countless doctor visits, he won his battle, he came out cancer free and it was a big day for all of us! We were certain that this battle was over, yet a month after he finished his treatment he cold me early morning and said something is wrong, he cough blood, and asked me to rush him to the hospital, dressed up rush on max allowed speed, picked him and my mom up, wife stayed at home with my kiddo, and we went to the emergency room in a hospital 40 Kilometers away from our little town, there he was placed to the emergency room, and we've beem told to wait until a throat doctor will be available to check on him, we wait for over an hour, while i went to speak to the doctors my mom shouted to come help, me and the docots when i approached him, he was holding this toilet thingy where people pee and it was all full of blood, he couldn't take a single breath, he was dying, he tried to stand ip and grasp some air while drowning in his own blood, there was blood everywhere, he was covered in it a huge pool beneth him, at some point he just fainted and me and my mom were the old people around him, while doctors were to afraid tovget closer to him, it was a horror movie, they placed him under few surgeries, his main arthary was punctured and his brain stopped getting oxyen and blood supply, a week later he passed away, while we were giving hope for his survival, one second he was the most happiest men in the world for beating his fight against that horrible thing, next second his helpless eyes knowing he is about to did, trying to ask me for help, it was an traumatic experience for me and my mom, during that year i had horrible nightmares, i heard him gurgle when felt a sleep, i saw blood everywhere, i was depressed that i lost my father in such a horrible way, and during that time my only support was my wife and mom, me and mom helped each other to keep sainity, and here i staryed to drink a bit more, work hard and drink, never fainted never faught or argued with my wife, she was fine with that, and im not talkig about a bottle of whisky a day or something but yeah 6/8 bottles of beer, listened to music while i was doing my job for my clients at this moment she was starting her job at a special store for home stuff, so i took care of my son, fed him, went to the park so he would play with friends, and when she came back home she made meals, some house stuff, showered him, placed him to sleep, and i was her light station before sleep, we talked stuff up, she tried a lil to help me coup with my dads passing, bit she never were able to understand the pain i went through, stuff started to get little better, more Family BBQ partirs, we finally started to laugh, and my mom was shininv, cause she saw me there happy, she saw our kiddo, and she were thankful to her husband that she has us now to fully support her and help her, at this point my mother in law also decided to move from a big city to iur little town to "be closer to her daughter" not really, she started to rent a house a mile away from us, and i was happy that my wifes mother also living near to us, and that my wife will be see her more often, she also become part of our family after years living far away from us, when she came her husband (boyfriend) also started to get sick so she basically dumped him, and he passed away due to unknown reason (its important) we all went to the funeral it was another hit, after my dad he was for me like a second father i could talk too, few month after his passing her my wife grandmother who was living with my wife mom, started to stumble, stopped walking and was bed bound her cognetive functions also went downhill ina month she couldnt recognize her clise ones which was a hard moment for my wife, so she found an elderly house a care home so people will take care of her, while she is keeping all her social security money, a year later the grandmother passed away, i staryed to suspect that something ain't right, first her husband than her mother, but never put enough accent on that, in 2022 around September i started to feel really really ill, i started puking 4-6 times a day,, couldn't hold food, couldn't hold fluids i went to the Emergency place in our city and they gave me pills to stop me from puking, and now i started to stumble, fisr i felt at home when trying to get me some water, next fall occured on my way to the store, and another time when her mom asked me to help her with the computer, it lasted few more days untill i was unable to stand, use my hands i all become stiff my hands stopped worked and finally i was rushed to the hospital after a whole month of hell, when i arrived the Hospital i had memory issues, i couldn't tell what day it is, short memory is gone, i could recognize, wife, mom and kiddo, but i couldn't recall what i ate today, i could say good morning 10 tjmes a day to my wife, my eyes were running left and right that what i was told, i did all checkups at the hospital, they thought a brain injury or tumor, they took spinal fluids, blood work, urine tests, nailz, and hair tests, they couldn't find anything besides one drug test they ran randomly on me, they found around 870 mg of Benzodiaziapm in my blood test, i never even knew what that thing wmis, until my doctor started asking me question about that substance, if i ever took those pills, and i said no, i have no idea what that is and where it came from, when my cognitive functuons started to get better on week 4, i was in the Intensive care, monitors to keep me checked so i wont have lung failure, i asked my wife randomly to check her mom house for those pills, and guess what? She found that same pill box in her kitchen drawer, while she was on vacation with her friend, so we immediately started to suspect her mom, her mom was about go lose her current house and she knew i have a very good business that my wife also helping me earning money, she staryed to ask wierd questions which my friends confirmed, she always asked my wife if she kniws how to run the business, when i heard about that, i was proud of my wife that she finally can help me out at home dealing with clients, thats when my mother in law started to work on a plan to get rid of me, as she did in the past, she pisioned me during september on my 29th Birthday, thats right when i started to feel ill, after i was released from the hospital i left disabled in a wheelchair, my wife had to shower me, help me dress up, and feed me, i was peeing in containers and i couldn't even go number 2 cause from my chest down i lose all muscle control, i couldnt lift arms, legs, poop, and do simple day to day stuff, thankfully i was approved as a disabled person 110%, and since than im 2 years trying to recover, my legs still dont work, i cant feel heat, always numbbess, tingling sensation below wasted, and neurological pain which i try to coop with without and pills, crying at nights, alot, hard for me to get sleep, im always cold, i feel uselss, worthless, i feel like a burden on my wife, so last 26 of April i had a friend who came to visit we had some booze, nothing too crazy, we had some good time, laughed and i went to bed, while my wife downed two bottles of whisky with my friend, he noticed she got too drunk so he started to emoty her glass when she wasn't looking, after that she came to the room staryed shouting on me, mentally abusing me and telling that im stuff about she wants to leave me and son and start living her own life without us, she had enough of marriage, on the morning she couldn't remember that night at all, my friend helped me to get from wheelchair in bed, and than left her in the kitchen alone, where she continued to drink, i woke up arounx 7 AM she was missing from home, went to grab more liquor or beers i have no idea and the argument continued so i asked her to go get some sleep, and she thankfully did, when she woke up she had a good laugh about her behavior and i slipped on that as a one time occurance, i agreed to never have booze again at home, especially with her cause she cant handle it, on the 9th of may its a victory day for me, cause my grandfathers fought world war two, i bought few beers to raise a glass, for the celebration, and instead to be with me while we watch the Victory day parade, she suddenly decided to go for a walk, i left home alone my mom was with my kid, all went smooth up until 1 AM when i tried to call her, she answered and told me that she will be home soon, and afterwards stopped responding to my calls, my mom talked to her, and she said that she is near the neighborhood and will arrive soon, but she never arrived i started to worry, called her dozens of times she havent oicked up the phone, she ended up staying a night at her moms place for no particular reason, in the morning she came back told me that she wants a divorce cause she is young and want to travel thebworld and live a normal life and not stay like a jurse with me, she had enough of me beign sick, and usless (note im still the only one who brings income home) and she said she dont care about the kid anymore andi can have him (PS she also started ozempic course 6 weeks prior) so her therapist said she must stop using this stuff cause it cause mental problems, its 3rd week now she havent had a single shot, and all what happend became a bad dream for both of us, she regrets the stuff she said to me, and everything staryed to settle down, and today she broke again and startrd doing that again with the same demands she wanna leave after someone told her i was eating in a restaurant with my kid and i had a 300 cc beer on the table, i came back home all was great until today, when she was told about that beer, and it triggerdd her so hard that she want my signature and divorce, i love her, i need her and that she and our son is my only reason to live, and i cant let her go cause she is all of my life, and she doesn't care anymore.... She just want to leave me a disabled man with an 7 year old son, and kove to her mom. I haven't said anything bad to her, i didnt had an argument, never raised my arm on her, never done anything wro g to her especially with my conditikn where i barley hold a glass of water. I never thought about suicide cause i value my life and my mother, and son, i would never do harm to myself, but i feel like im lost, i lost everything in my life even though she is snoring right besides me when i write this, its feels like she enoys inflicting pain on me, mental pain she laughs when i cry, if feels like it give her pleasure, she was never like that before, and it hurts even more, since she started ozempic she started to say "she hopes she dies, she dont wanna live anymore, she had enough of been a mom, and a wife" stuff like that which she never said before, nor there was a real reason for thay, im not an abuser, i never done anything to her, and again im helpless man who is now disabled from chest and down, and im fighting to recover even 35% of body cobtrol would be huge for me, and instead lifting my soirit taking me in my wheelchair for walks outside, cooking me food instread of me ordering every god damn mill, i still lover her, i still want her to be with us, but it seems she already decided long ago that she doesn't love me anymore but never said that until she lost 30 kg with this hellish drug she injected.
Im lost i have no one to tell that, no one would really want to hear me talking about my struggles and a falling apart relationship with the best person i met in my life, my best friend, my wife, the mither of our child, my angel who changed ke for good, who found potential in, who inspired me to do better than i ever did before, i can't lose her, i won't lose her, i pray every night so she will change her mind! I really need her, im afraid to stay alone, im afraid to raise my kid in this state alone, and i dont want my kid to grow with only one parent because his mom dcided she wants to quit on us.
Uf anybody have anything warn to say, support ke, or kaybe an advise to approach her and try to fix that, the whole situatuon statlrted on the 26/27th of April and we are going through that until now, its getting better last few days as she let ke to hug her, and she aloowed ke ro give her a kiss on her cheek and after yesterday meal with my kid and that 300cc bottled beer, she at it again ;(
Sorry about this crazy block of text i doubt anyone gonna read that, but i would appriciate anything.
Thank you so much, George.

2024.05.21 00:52 GuitarBeats Need Advice on 2016 Ford Fusion Hybrid Repair Costs?

Hey everyone, I'm in need of some advice regarding my 2016 Ford Fusion Hybrid. I bought the car last summer in late May while I was in Oregon, and I've had it for about a year now. A couple of weeks ago, the car broke down while I was helping a friend, and it was quite a disaster. I made a post about it here: Stranded with a failing 2016 Ford Fusion Hybrid. To give you a quick rundown, the car broke down and was towed off the highway by some friendly TxDOT folks. Unfortunately, it ended up being impounded when I went to check on it the next day. Since then, I've been borrowing my sister's old car to get around. I finally got a quote from a mechanic, and just my luck, it came on my birthday. What a negative birthday present. The total cost for repairs is about $5k, and here's the breakdown from the invoice:
Total: $4,968.88 I bought the car just under a year ago for $11,500, and now it only has 86,277 miles on it. I even paid for a pre-purchase inspection, and everything seemed good at the time. Now I'm stuck in a dilemma. I didn't know that transmission issues are pretty common in Ford Fusions, and I wish I had known that earlier. I'm unsure if it's worth investing $5,000 into this car, but I really do need a car. I'm reaching out to see what you all think is the best course of action. Should I go ahead and repair it, or should I consider selling it? Is it possible for me to get an extended warranty and have them cover it? When it rains, it pours, and I'm just trying to figure out the best move here. Thanks for any help or advice you can offer!

2024.05.20 23:43 XCanuck My marriage feels strained and very one-sided, unsure how to cope with a wife who won't communicate or share responsibilities

There's a "dad joke" I heard that goes: My therapist told me to write out a big long rant letter to everyone I have a problem with, burn them all to ashes, and scatter the ashes into the wind. I did all that last weekend, but now I'm not sure what to do with the letters.
This post feels like that big, long rant, but I genuinely could really use some help/ideas beyond "go to marriage counseling." I provide so much to the family and household that isn't reciprocated, but trying to set boundaries to feel more balanced gets passive-aggressive and/or silent treatment. I'm not writing all this here just to vent, I've actually edited this down pretty significantly to summarize what I'm going through and giving some examples.
Thanks for giving me the space to share this.
Me (50/M), Wife (45/F), two kids 15 and 13. We have no family who live anywhere close to us. We're in the middle of America, her divorced parents are on the coast, and mine's in Canada where I'm originally from (in case my username didn't give that away).
TLDR at the bottom.
Trigger warnings: a ruined birthday, shared/not-shared finances, me losing my cool and walking out on my family and getting the silent treatment since, and apparently being the only parent/grown-up in the house.
To this family, I feel that all I am to them is the income/paycheck and personal chef, and I'm ready to walk away. My wife won't communicate, gets defensive and angry, and doesn't contribute to the marriage or teach our kids about responsibility, so I look like a jerk all the time. If I speak up and ask her to help, I'm treated like a jerk. If I don't speak up, she does nothing.
Background about physicality, work and finances
I work in tech, typically 50-70 hours per week, and take on occasional (< 5 hrs/week) contract work as a side business to pay for my 3D printing hobby that I'm also trying to turn into a side business. She works part-time maybe one full day of work throughout the week on an as-needed basis.
My job pays the benefits, and I've established a retirement fund for us, plus a 401K and Roth IRA, plus a 529 account for each of the kids that I've been investing in since they were born. I paid off both cars. We're debt-free except for our mortgage, and we have enough assets to pay off the house if we choose to.
We each have a bank account for ourselves, plus a joint bank account. Her part-time paychecks and other money from an inheritance, goes 100% into her account only, and I use my account for my 3D printing business to maintain an LLC. Just about everything financial is paid for from my paychecks. I've always treated this as "our" money. All bills, mortgage, memberships, subscriptions (Netflix, etc), things the kids need (clothing, shoes, school supplies, etc), furniture, medical bills, etc are all paid from a joint account that is funded 100% by my paycheck. She makes no contributions to this account, but she does withdraw from it for fast food, snacks she buys just for herself, her own crafting hobbies, and she'll pick up maybe $100/month for some groceries.
I promised her before we were even married that if she wanted to be a stay-at-home mom or, at any point, go back to work, she'd have my full support either way, and I've kept that promise. She worked full-time for about 2 years before we had kids and worked a fair bit of part-time work before the kids started school in 2013. She's been at her part-time job for 2 years, so quite a span where she didn't work at all.
She works as a 1099 contractor and, despite repeatedly being asked to, won't reserve money for tax time. So, not only does she spend 100% of her paycheck, but I have to be sure that we save enough to cover her tax bill every year. She's never offered to contribute to tax payments we have to make.
I had gallbladder surgery and bariatric surgery, so I've had pretty restrictive dietary needs for the past 5-6 years. She often made comments about me being heavy and having a shortened life span, but since my bariatric surgery, she's expressed resentment about my body changing (I lost 120+lbs) and now doesn't care to learn what kinds of protein/carb/fat balance I need, and gained about 80lbs herself. As such, she does not contribute to any meal planning, which means I'm doing 95% of all meal planning, groceries, and cooking.
When it comes to cooking, I'm a damn good cook, and it's 100% because of YouTube. She grew up in an environment where she wasn't encouraged to cook or even learn to, so she lived on PBJ through college until we started dating and I would cook or take her out. When the kids were in their "picky" stages of 4yrs-9yrs of age, she got frustrated with cooking but years later still holds to that "NOBODY likes what I cook". So she makes maybe 2 or 3 meals per month now, and it's always the same meals. Last night, she cooked 10 people's worth of macaroni with a single pound of ground beef and more than a pound of cheese. I had to pick out the meat to get my protein and then drink a protein shake afterward, and then got offended that I threw away the noodles/cheese. (My diet needs high protein, low carbs, and almost no fat, she knows this because I tell her quite often, but she won't do anything about it; she's bought maybe 3 shelves worth of cookbooks and won't even open them or go take a class or anything.)
Our oldest kid has shown an interest in cooking and will maybe cook one meal per week and ask me to help him out, so I share what I've learned, things I've tried, experimented with, lessons learned, etc., and we have a good time, and they really appreciate the learning opportunity. On the rare occasion I do see my wife making dinner in the kitchen, I show her that I'm really happy about what she's making and ask if she wants help chopping or anything and I only get "no" as an answer and completely shut down like I'm not supposed to be in the kitchen. I'll try to have conversation with her but then she can't concentrate on cooking, chopping, etc, and then "ruined" dinner is my fault.
"Her" money versus "our" money, and how we spend our days/weekends
My wife had a relative die quite a few years ago and in the fall of 2018 was given a $250k inheritance. She has always referred to this as "her" money, "her" retirement, in case "she" needs a nursing home later. I'm not in her future plans, apparently. She gave $50k of it to a cousin who was deliberately left out of that relative's will. My wife's will leaves any remaining inheritance money to the kids. No mention of me anywhere whatsoever.
Once the inheritance money hit her bank account, she decides to buy a horse from halfway across the country and put it in a boarding stable 20 minutes from the house. It was a childhood dream of hers. Apparently, she's allowed to pursue her dreams and interests, it's "her" money, I'm not allowed to tell her what to do with it, but she complains when my 3D printing business makes enough money to buy another printer to keep up with demand... And my hobby takes up less time per week than she spends at the barn.
When she's not working her one-day-a-week job, she's at the boarding stable for a few hours per day, playing with her horse, taking selfies, taking him on walks, not actually riding him. With her remaining time at home, and when she gets home with the kids, she's lying on the couch, acting worn out and tired like she just bench-pressed the friggin' horse. (And yes, I know horse training CAN be exhausting, but she's not doing anything exhausting with him. She literally walks him on a path, or walks him in circles in an arena enclosure, or she's brushing him down and bathing him to look nice for Instagram)
In the summer of 2018, right before she got this inheritance money, she spent $50k of "our" money on a kitchen renovation that she insisted she designs herself, and then felt guilty about the bill and me having to take on more side contracting work to pay off the HELOC in a reasonable amount of time, and contributed back $10k to the whole project from "her" money afterward. "Her" money paid for the kids' orthodontics, about $3k each. But she literally contributes NOTHING else financially to the family.
If I had to guess, she's got about $150k left of that inheritance money, maybe less, she won't ever tell me about it. And we don't get a notice from the bank about interest gained at tax time every year because she put it in an account that makes ZERO interest. She sees my investments with 25%-40% gains, but won't ever ask for my help or input. Instead, she asked 3 other guys at work who told her to at least get a Vanguard account, but almost 6 years later she's never done it.
I work full-time as mentioned, and work from home. Work is typically 50+ hours per week but I try to cap it at 60-ish if I can. For the past month I've been on a project with a tight deadline, and working more like 10-14 hours per day 6 days per week. It's like that in tech, she's been understanding of this in the past, and I'm sure to take jobs where this is NOT the norm. Still, I'm always happy to help drive the kids to/from school or to music lessons or doctors, but I'm usually treated like "how dare you," that's "her" job, like that's her contribution to everything.
She works a part-time job doing marketing. Maybe 2-3 hours a day, one or two days per week. Sometimes busier in Q1 as they prep/plan most of the year, but then very low-lift afterward. She spends maybe 40 minutes per day taking the kids to/from school. Other than that, she's at the barn or on the couch. (have I mentioned we've gone through several couches that "our" money pays for??)
The marital imbalance I'm dealing with
She won't enforce chores for the kids, remind them to do laundry, or clean their rooms, or even shower. She'll text me "one of the boys smells" after taking them to school, but won't insist they shower, or back me up on the whole "c'mon guys, brush twice a day at least, and shower at least every 2 days with actual some soap on your bodies and actual shampoo on your hair, and use deodorant..." She'll make remarks like "Didn't you wear and sleep in those clothes for the past 3 days?" but won't make them change, or tell them to do their laundry.
She might do dishes 2 to 3 times per month, it's normally a chore we give to the kids, but she never enforces it. If they stack up for 3 days she'll do some of them but not all of them. One kid was born on an odd-numbered day, the other on an even-numbered day, so the rule is if today is an even or odd day, we know whose turn it is to do the dishes. And if the month has an odd number of days, I do the dishes on the 31st/29th day. But they're teenagers, they'd rather be in their rooms being teenagers, so I have to constantly remind them. Neither of them checks that the dishes are even clean before putting them away, something she specifically called out being embarrassed about when we were dating and visiting her mom's house where half of the dishes in the cupboard still had dried food all over them.
And then garbage day, or yard work, or vacuuming, cleaning a bathroom, cleaning their room, shoveling snow. She doesn't help enforce ANY of the chores that we agreed on. So I'm the sole disciplinarian around here, which makes the kids grow up thinking they better avoid me or I'm the jerk who's gonna put them to work.
Nothing happens around here unless I ask the rest of the family. I've purposefully left chores undone for "that's almost a health hazard" amounts of time and still nobody takes the initiative, nor will she ask the kids to help. They all see the work needs to be done, but they won't choose to help, and they're probably learning from her example of just sitting in some other room/area of the house and someone else will do it someday.
Even asking them "what kind of meals do you want this week, what haven't we had in a while, what's your favorite meal," you'd swear I was asking them to cure cancer every Saturday so I could start to plan meals for the following week and get groceries on Sunday, which has been our routine since the kids could talk.
Their cop-out is to skip the 3 shelves of cookbooks and flip through a binder we kept from a few months of Hello Fresh meals but then it's the same 10-12 meals that get kinda old after a while.
I feel like I have no help from anyone.
I reached my tipping point, and recently walked out on my family
A little over three weeks ago, I'm on this tight deadline at work, getting maybe 3-4 hours of sleep at night, pulling 10-14 hour days. It's a Wednesday, I remember about 430pm that I should commit my code, as I usually do 'cause I need to make dinner because nobody else is gonna do it. Oh, wait, tonight was grilled cheese and tomato soup -- literally, ANYONE ELSE in the house, including our 13yr old who has never shown any interest in cooking, could heat a can of soup and melt cheese between bread, right??? Surely SOMOENE else in the family will handle dinner, so I keep working (note, without asking anyone else to help with dinner), hoping someone else will handle the meal. (and yes, I know this is typically against my diet, but I indulge in this low-protein, high-carb, higher-fat meal about once a month.)
At 730pm my wife comes STOMPING into my office area, "I can't make the grilled cheese like you do." No politeness, just turns and stomps back to the kitchen. I follow her to the kitchen, where the tomato soup is on a RAPID boil, yet she hasn't even started making the grilled cheese sandwiches. I turn the soup off, take it off the burner, and start to describe what to do for the grilled cheese. It's honestly nothing special; I put shredded cheese in the pan to get crusty on the outside of the bread, then stack up the the grilled cheese, put break on top, let the inner cheese melt, and flip it onto more shredded cheese. Highly recommended.
She says "Oh" and ... LEAVES THE KITCHEN, leaving me there expecting me to make dinner... and I'm pissed. I should have just gone back to my work area, but she parks herself back on the couch.
I get everything made, and of course nobody sets the table, ever. Now I'm seriously pissed off, so I slam some dishes in the middle of the table and go back into the kitchen to get the pot of soup and plate of sandwiches. I get back to the dinner table, where my wife and youngest are just standing there, STILL not setting the table despite me standing there with food that I can't even put down. So I drop the food on the table wherever I can, soup splashes everywhere, and I start setting the table while they stand there and watch and ... I lost my cool. I flung bowls and spoons in the general area where they're supposed to be at the table, and I walked out of the house. I returned 4 or 5 hours later once they were all in bed.
The ONE meal in my busy schedule that ANY of them could have made, and her contribution was putting a can of soup in a pot.
She still didn't make any meals for the rest of the week. That Sunday she put a meal plan together for the whole following week. Again, all super carb-heavy when she knows my own diet can't handle that. And then she stopped planning ANYTHING ELSE SINCE THEN. The following week's "meal plan" was just a list of who was home on which night because of end-of-school-year events going on. No meals, no grocery list. Meanwhile I'm still on my deadline... Last week, no help at all. This week, zero help.
So this week's meal plan I finally set a boundary for myself that was VERY clear to them: I'm planning to cook 3 meals for the whole week, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and left the rest open with no meal planned. Last night at 6pm she made her "hamburger helper" and plans "ramen" for tomorrow (again, all noodles and broth, very little protein), but no other help from her for the rest of the meal plan for the remainder of the week.
My recently ruined 50th birthday
My birthday was a little over a week ago. I turned 50. Send me your favorite dad jokes, please, I beg of you.
My wife asked me 2 or 3 months ago if I wanted any kind of party, etc. to which I said yeah, I'd love to have a few friends over, named several of them, all of whom she either has in her phone, or are guys married to women that I know she stays in regular contact with. I mentioned some all-you-can-eat places that we could go, just the 4 of us, where I could pick out good proteins etc. and they could eat whatever they wanted.
I got nothing. No dinner out. No party. No friends.
The night before my birthday, she was too lazy to get off the couch, so I went to bed alone. I woke up in bed alone. I told the family the day before that I wanted French Toast for breakfast, normally something we'd do on Christmas Day, but it was my 50th birthday gosh darn it, and I was even thawing bacon. I even bought all the groceries needed. Nope, had to cook that alone too, so I only made enough for me, and ate alone. Showered alone, 'cause we haven't been intimate in ... 3 months? 4 months? And who cares that it's my birthday.
Nobody asked if I wanted to go out anywhere, go see a movie, go for a hike with the dog, nothing. So I went out with the dog, alone.
That night I had to make dinner for the family, again, on my own friggin' birthday. Alone in the kitchen. AND I had to remind the kids to clean up the kitchen afterward 'cause they won't do it unless they're told. She bought tiny pieces of cheesecake for dessert, which she knows I don't like and can't eat because of my diet. I had one tiny piece, she and the kids ate the rest.
No cake, no candle, no balloons. It was my FIFTIETH birthday ...
We have some serious communication breakdown going on
Since I walked out of the house a few weeks back, she only talks to me when she wants something, and that comes across more as a demand, "I need you to pick the kids up from school, I have to be at work" and walks away She won't say good morning or even hi, unless I say it first. Lately, I say "hi" or "hey" as we're passing in the house and I get no response at all. I get literal one-word responses when I ask her a question. A few nights ago, several nights in a row, I'm in the living room on my laptop trying to get more work done, she'll come in the room, not ask me what I'm doing or if I'm working, and blast a TV show on her phone at near-maximum volume, and fall asleep on the couch.
She gets mad and offended any time I offer constructive criticism of any kind. And it doesn't matter how delicately I try to phrase things, I'll agonize for days over exactly which words to use, she'll get super defensive, angry and lash out, and give me the silent treatment for weeks.
Last Tuesday was an end-of-year awards show for our youngest, who's finishing 8th grade. He's really into music and he stayed after school to practice for the event. She comes home to get ready then decides to leave for the event by herself. I only noticed when the garage opened and closed. She doesn't say anything to me or our oldest kid about what time she wanted to leave or if we're ready to go, she just ... left. Well of COURSE we both want to go, but now we have to drive there separately. And he wins a TON of awards, one from his classmates, one from his teacher, and one from the school. I'd have been PISSED to have missed that. "Oh, I thought you didn't want to go..." was her reason later.
This past Saturday, I do ALL the yardwork 'cause she won't tell the kids to help and I'm frankly tired of having to ask for help. A few hours of yard work later, I tell my youngest to vacuum 'cause nobody vacuums around here unless I tell them to and honestly it's gross. I hop in the shower to clean up and cool down from the yard work. Youngest decides it's "too hot in the house" and sits in the kitchen to eat a popsicle instead of vacuuming. No backup from my wife at all on this, who's still parked on the couch. So I get upset with him, he does a half-assed job, says he's "tired' (from watching YouTube all day) and goes back to his room and we don't see him again the rest of the day. Again, no help or backup from my wife.
It's now 7pm in the house Saturday night, and -- shocker -- NOBODY has bothered to even ASK about dinner much less put any kind of food together. 8pm rolls around and my oldest finally emerges from his own room, starts thawing some chicken, and comes to ask me for help to make a meal, which I happily do. Until I get grumbly comments about "why are we eating so late." And my wife makes her way back to the couch. Not so much as a "thanks for cooking" or offer to clean up. And of COURSE nobody is doing the dishes, because DAD didn't remind anyone.
WHAT DO I DO??
19 years ago when we got married, this felt like a marriage. We did stuff together, we split things evenly, shared responsibility and chores, we both cooked, we bought groceries together. The first few years with kids were rough, but it at least FELT like a partnership once we figured out how to be parents. But something has shifted over the past decade, and this feels less and less like a partnership, much less feeling like a marriage. This whole relationship feels very one-sided, I get no appreciation for any of my constant hard work and being a provider. Instead, she's accused me, twice, of having an affair, once to the point of giving me anxiety/panic attacks for which I was almost hospitalized.
Now, she and the kids are noticing and talking behind my back (like I can't hear them) about the fact that I'm not wearing my wedding band anymore. Of course, the kids won't ask me directly, and I'm not bringing it up myself, and my wife's not talking to me anyway. Maybe she's still mad that I got mad a few weeks ago and walked out? Hard to know when the person won't talk to you unless they want something from you.
I'll put the damn ring back on when it feels like a marriage again. But then the next time it comes off, I think it'll stay off.
TL;DR! To this family, I feel that all I am to them is the income/paycheck and personal chef, and I'm ready to walk away. I can see why parents stay together "for the kids." As with most marriages, it started great; we've had bumpy times, but we always got through it together. Nothing like this, though. My wife won't communicate, gets defensive and angry, and doesn't contribute to the marriage or teach our kids about responsibility, so I look like a jerk all the time. Something has shifted over the past decade, and this feels less and less like a partnership. This whole relationship feels very one-sided, I get no appreciation for any of my constant hard work and being a provider.

Fried mushrooms - recipe review. These are soooooo good!
I'm cooking every single recipe in the cookbook and writing a more detailed review of how it went. I'm doing this mostly to amuse myself, but also because I'm hoping this will help other people use the cookbook. The entire list is here. A lot of the recipes are on the complicated/adventurous side, and it would delight me to make them more accessible so more players can enjoy them. I'm happy to answer questions!
Grandpa's Candles Malt Vinegar Ranch Dressing: Four Fried mushroom: Four
Tool rating Malt Vinegar Ranch Dressing: Copper - it's a bit of chopping but just mixing after that Fried Mushroom: Gold because hot oil
I make this in game all the time, because one of my favorite RPG activities is to celebrate Evelyn's birthday. I make a chocolate cake and fried mushrooms first thing in the morning, take her the cake and give George the mushrooms so she doesn't have to cook. And then I take her to the movies and buy her a treat. She loves both of the sentimental Winter movies because of course she does
And George is totally right about these. This dish is delicious! The teen who "doesn't care for mushrooms" came back for seconds and my husband must have mentioned half a dozen times how good they were. He spent the rest of the evening talking about it. I tried a couple today as leftovers, and they're even good cold (not as good, obviously)
The recipe calls for creminis (baby portobellos) and some kind of wild mushroom. Blue Oysters was the only "wild" type Whole Foods had (and they made me feel feverish but they were also out of cowbell so no help for that). I think any mushroom you can find would be good. I cut the creminis in half and tore up the oysters.
The batter is perfect for the mushrooms. I'm used to either buttermilk OR some kind of beer to give the bubbles and this batter mixes both. Buttermilk batters tend to be puffier and thicker and beer batters tend to be thinner and more crispy. The mix of both was so good! The texture is great with something softer like a mushroom. Don't skip the step of tossing the mushrooms in flour - it made the batter stick without any falling off in the hot oil.
The recipe calls for either an IPA or a lager. I chose Stone Double Delicious IPA mostly because I knew the leftovers would be Double Happiness for my IPA loving husband. I used peanut oil for my frying and I put more than the recommended inch so my thermometer was properly submerged. You can save $ by reusing frying oil. Once it's cooled just strain it through a cheesecloth for next time.
The dipping sauce is also very delicious (I think the whole cookbook is going to be four candles and I'm fine with that). The flavor is more herbal with the malt vinegar being a background taste. You're supposed to season "to taste" with salt and pepper. I tasted it before and after the salt and pepper and both were good. It doesn't even need salt.
Tips: Just like a trip to Skull Cavern, the trick to successful deep frying is preparation and the right supplies. In addition to the slotted spoon/spider the recipe recommends, I highly recommend a candy/oil thermometer. The hardest part of this recipe is keeping your oil at the right temp. Too hot and it will be spattering everywhere and overcooking the batter without cooking the mushroom. Too cold and the mushrooms will be soggy and the batter won't crisp.
I also recommend using tongs (I have a silicone tipped pair that don't mind being in hot oil) for moving the mushrooms from the batter to your oil.
Don't overcrowd your pan - that will make them stick together into big multi-mushroom clumps. The recipe said do it in three batches. I used a smaller pan so four worked better for me.
The last step of the batter (mixing the wet into dry) will start your bubbly reaction so do that last to keep everything nice and light. I had everything setup and oil heating before I made the final mix and then went right into frying.
You will end up with a LOT of leftover fresh herbs if you buy the dill & parsley in a bunch. This is a good place to look at other recipes that might use the same herbs. I'm making baked fish this week, too, to use up the leftovers. Ditto the Poppyseed muffin to use up the rest of the buttermilk I purchased for this. These were so good with the leftover beer, too!

2024.05.20 22:44 Inevitable_Prize9455 AITA Joint birthday party gone wrong that I never wanted

A few years ago I had some friends who one had a birthday a few days before mine. She kept hinting at my friend she wanted a surprise party. My birthday fell on a Saturday so my friend hinted at doing a joint bday party that day I told her then I didn’t really want to share my birthday(because it’s the one day of the year I can do whatever I want) but they went ahead and planned it anyways. I just let it slide. The friends birthday fell two days before and we went out and celebrated her and it was a great time. Then the day of the birthday party turns out her boyfriend who was in charge of inviting her friends did not. So only my friends were there and most of them did not know we were celebrating her as well since it was my actual bday. I tried reminding everyone and making sure not all the attention was on me as best I could. My husband had booked a karaoke room for us and when we got there the other girls boyfriend did not have his id so he said it’s no biggie and waited in the car. The whole time my friend sulked in the corner and was clear she wasn’t even trying to have a good time. Fast forward two days the girl ghosted both me and the girl who planned the party for two days. When she finally responded and told us what was wrong she complained the party didn’t center around her and it was all about me. This was exactly why I didn’t want the party. I got very offended and told my friend she was being ungreatful because my husband paid for us all to do karaoke and it was $400. She got mad at me and I tried to ask if we could talk in person but she would never make plans. Fast forward a few weeks and her and the girl who planned the party kept hanging without me and not inviting me which was out of the ordinary at the time. Finally they invited me over. I used it as an opportunity to talk to her and say I was sorry for what I said and how things turned out. I cried and expressed how I felt left out though. At the time she apologized and told me she would be better. Then a few weeks later with no changed behavior I told my friend I didn’t understand why she was treating me so poorly. My friend then proceeds to tell me she doesn’t want to be my friend anymore after how the birthday party played out and she also said after I cried about being left out once I left the friend laughed to my friend and said she wanted to laugh in my face the whole time I was crying. The next day the girl asked for one of my craft supplies to borrow and I told her she could buy her own. She never confronted me and deleted me on everything so I sent her a long text about how she treated me poorly and if she had bad vibes it was only because of how she acted and reacted. This girl to this day slanders me, talks to people she knows hates me and has started some online hate campaigns cause of it. To this day I stand by what I did and feel I was treated poorly in this situation. But I do not understand how anything I did has warranted such unfair treatment. Am I the asshole?
Thoughts?

2024.05.20 21:15 Cornonthecoby22 Just closed on our house and four days in we had a water leak upstairs.

Hey all, wanted ask for some advice. My wife and I just closed on our house May 14th and moved all of our stuff in this past week. On Saturday our new washer and dryer was purchased and picked up. I installed the units myself around 4 pm on Saturday. I ran a test load but it came back with an error saying it didn't have water, but ran it again and all was good. About an hour later I checked it and made sure there weren't any noticeable leaks and all seemed well. We had a family get together for my wife's birthday that night and all seemed well and ended up going to bed around 11. We woke up around 7 and came downstairs to our breakfast area filled with water. The leak was coming from the washer supply, I quickly turned the water off and checked to make sure my supply lines weren't lose, they were tight on the fitting. But the water hammer on the cold water supply was hand tight and very easy to to loosen. I took pictures at this moment and called some family to help with the water. I tightened it back up and turned the water back on and there were no leaks. I called my insurance to file a claim and had some water mitigation people out yesterday and today to access the damages. Now what I'm wondering is if there is anything my wife and I can do to a bad install of the water supply in the laundry or if we are SOL.
Some clarification information: Our house was built in 1989 and the previous owners were a flipping company that bought the house in August 2023 and listed it on the market back in February. The laundry hook ups look brand new but I'm not sure when they were actually installed. We have site finished hard wood floors and a large chunk was very badly water damaged.
Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

2024.05.20 20:43 MLproductions696 Problem with wheelbase

My brother recently bought a CSL dd wheelbase with a booster kit (the extra power supply), pedals and stuff and a clubsport wheel V2 eSport for his birthday. The first day we assembled everything and it all seemed to work fine, the software detected everything, we updated the firmware, set all the controls in-game and he could use everything just fine. On the second day everything was working alright. Now today the wheelbase doesn't seem to turn on, the light doesn't turn on in any color and the software only detects the pedals (which we plugged directly into the PC instead of into the wheelbase). I saw online it could be an issue with the power supply but those people reported that the blue light on the power supply didn't turn on but ours does. Other folks talked about maybe a firmware issue but the software doesn't even detect the wheelbase. We've also changed the port to which the wheelbase was connected to the PC. Could anyone help us out? Thank you in advance!

2024.05.20 16:02 wooahey [TOMT] [Art Youtuber] [mid 2010s] South American artist with pink dip dye hair

She had a really cute simple art style and her doodles almost always had some kind of pink in them. She had long brown hair with pink dip dye ends, wore big glasses and had a prominent nose. She either lived in New York or the UK but is originally from Chile (maybe?) and spoke English with a really thick accent. Her content was mostly “draw with me” or art supply hauls, with the occasional studio or travel vlog. She liked drawing in museums and outdoors too. I think she kept a sketch journal where she drew food she ate and characters from movies she watched. I remember her art supplies really well because they were on my personal birthday and christmas wishlists for yearsss. She always used fineliners, a pink copic marker, and sometimes used the Windsor and Newton pocket watercolors. She also always sketched with a blue or red colored erasable pencil.
I vaguely remember her last post sometime in the late 2010s had a tragic undertone to it? I can’t remember if it was a breakup with her partner, maybe an illness, moving back to her home country or she was just giving up youtube? In any case, I can’t find her videos in any of my playlists and it appears I’ve unsubscribed to her channel. She might have deleted her channel, but maybe she’s somewhere out there in other parts of the internet?

One sunny afternoon, I found myself wrapping a gift for my friend's birthday. Instead of using some generic, boring wrapping paper, I decided to go for something a bit more fun, so I pulled out this roll of Clear Cellophane Wrap. With a satisfying snap, I unrolled the wrapping paper and noticed how glossy and shiny it looked. It gave my friend's gift an extra special touch, and I couldn't help but smile at the thought of her delight when she unwraps it.
As I continued to wrap the gift, I realized that this cellophane wrap's versatility went beyond just making gifts look extra special. It was also great for keeping all the goodies inside a gift basket together for a raffle at a fundraising event. The thicker, sturdier material made it easy to wrap around large items without worrying about it tearing, making it an ideal choice for big gift baskets, too.
On the downside, I noticed that using this clear wrapping paper required a bit of practice to ensure it didn't rip or tear easily. And although it was easy to store when not in use, I couldn't help feeling like I was going to run out of it halfway through my gift-wrapping endeavors.
All in all, the Clear Cellophane Wrap made my gift-giving experience that much more enjoyable, and I'm glad I got the chance to try it out. With its glossy finish and versatility, it's definitely worth adding to your gift-wrapping arsenal, even if it does require a little extra effort to work with.

I recently came across Jam Paper's clear cellophane wrapping paper, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer for gift wrapping! . This 12.5 square foot roll is perfect for protecting your gifts from outside elements and makes them stand out with its shiny gloss finish. One of the things I love about it is that it doesn't easily tear, making it an ideal choice for those presents that have a few extra fragile items inside.
However, I did notice that it was a bit smaller than expected for one gift, so I would recommend measuring your gift beforehand to avoid any shortage of wrap. Overall, this clear cellophane wrapping paper is a great option for Easter, parties, holidays, and more—just add a nice ribbon for the finishing touch! .

I recently used this Adorox 30" inch 100' ft Clear Cellophane Wrap Roll for a gift basket I was putting together for a friend's birthday. The clear wrapping paper added a nice touch to the basket, and the length of the roll was perfect for my project. It was easy to cut and seal the wrapping paper, keeping dirt and moisture out of the gift.
In terms of my experience, the product exceeded my expectations and made for an elegant presentation. The only drawback was that I had to source my own basket for the gift, as it didn't come included with the roll.
Overall, I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a high-quality clear wrapping paper for their art & crafts or gift-giving needs.

I recently started using the PH PerkHomy Clear Cellophane Wrap Roll, and I must say, it has become my go-to choice for gift wrapping. The 16-inch width makes it super convenient, letting me wrap presents and baskets quickly. The 3-mil thickness adds durability, and I appreciate the peace of mind it provides when wrapping delicate items like treats and wines.
The crystal clear quality also makes it perfect for keeping gifts looking alluring, while keeping moisture and dirt at bay. Overall, the PerkHomy Clear Cellophane Wrap Roll is a must-have for anyone who loves crafting and creating beautiful gift wraps.

Recently, I decided to try out the Stobok Clear Cellophane Wrap Roll for my flower arrangements and gift wrapping needs. This product truly exceeded my expectations, especially with its 22-inch, 100-foot roll and 2.5 mil thickness. It's thin enough for me to easily fold, but strong enough to last through multiple arrangements without tearing or breaking.
One of the coolest features I found is the ability to cut the roll to my desired length. With this, I am able to do more wrapping in a shorter amount of time, which is perfect for my busy schedule. Plus, the wrap protects my delicate treats from dirt and moisture, keeping them fresh for longer.
Although the product is very thin, it's perfect for what I need it for. I can see that it's not suitable for any rough handling, but that's not an issue for me as I always handle my wrapping supplies with care. All in all, I'm thrilled with the Stobok Clear Cellophane Wrap Roll and would definitely recommend it to anyone who values durability and convenience in their wrapping paper choice.

🔗Shimmering White Iridescent Cello Wrap for Gift Boxes

https://preview.redd.it/m2gby6c4sk1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8f0f164333fec5fcc604eb9a11ed1e4191498e88
I recently tried the Amscan Opal Iridescent Cello Wrap for my little one's birthday gift. The moment I unraveled it, the shining wrapping paper caught my eye - it was clear with a soft pink hue, just perfect for the occasion. I wrapped the box with care, excitedly thinking of all the presents waiting inside.
The wrapping paper was of high quality, with a smooth and sturdy plastic finish that gave it a luxurious feel. Not only was it clear, but it also featured a multicolored iridescent design that added a touch of elegance to the gift. I could have used it for perfume bottles or even to decorate a basket of flowers for a friend's wedding.
However, there were a couple of things that I noticed while using this wrap. First, it wasn't as clear as I expected it to be. While it still looked lovely, it wasn't completely transparent. Second, it ripped easily, which made me a bit wary while wrapping the gift. Nonetheless, I was able to make it work, and the overall experience was still a positive one.
In conclusion, the Amscan Opal Iridescent Cello Wrap may not be the most crystal-clear wrapping paper, but its unique design and high-quality feel make it an impressive choice for wrapping presents. Just be cautious when using it, as it can be a bit delicate.

🔗Versatile Cellophane Roll: Transparent 20" x 100 ft for Creative Wrapping

I've been using the Hygloss Transparent Cellophane rolls for a while now, and let me tell you, they've made a significant difference in making ordinary gifts and projects more unique. The clear cello wraps are perfect for adding a touch of excitement to candies, treats, and even baskets.
One of my favorite things about this product is the variety of colors available. There's something for everyone, making it an excellent choice for parties, holidays, and even science experiments.
However, there were a few downsides. The self-cutting edge on the box didn't always work as smoothly as I'd hoped. Sometimes, I ended up with a sloppy cut. But overall, the product is still worth it for the wide range of color options and the unique touch it brings to my gift wrapping and projects.
So if you're looking to add some excitement to your gift wrapping or create a colorful glow for your light fixtures, the Hygloss Transparent Cellophane rolls are a great choice. Just be prepared for the occasional self-cutting hiccup.

🔗3 Mil Thick Clear Cellophane Wrap Roll for Gift Packaging

https://preview.redd.it/504z3i15sk1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=747dbf1bde096771fa9df3c19a5333d335583f0e
I recently had the pleasure of wrapping some thoughtful gifts using this JOYIT Cellophane Wrap roll. It truly caught my eye with its stunning crystal transparency, making the presents look both elegant and professional. The 31.5-inch width was perfect for covering larger gift baskets without sacrificing the intricate details of the contents.
However, the cellophane thickness of 3 mil was an unexpected surprise. It was significantly stronger than I anticipated, offering 200% more durability compared to other 1-2 mil options available in the market. This extra strength proved to be a double-edged sword as I encountered a bit of difficulty in tearing them apart, but it did ensure that the cellophane didn't tear or perforate during the wrapping process.
This cellophane even met the food safety requirements of the FDA, which is a great feature for those who might use it for food packaging. It was versatile and could be used for a variety of applications like Christmas gifts, wedding gifts, and even fruit baskets.
Now, there's one thing to note - this product is not a shrink wrap roll, so if you're expecting a shrink wrap, I suggest you look elsewhere. Overall, I found this JOYIT Cellophane Wrap roll to be a delightful and practical choice for gift wrapping, and I'll definitely be using it again for future occasions.

🔗Shimmering Cellophane Wrap Roll for Gift Baskets and Crafts

The Cello Wrap Roll Clear from Hygloss is a versatile and practical tool for making gifts and crafts projects stand out. I recently used this product to wrap a basket of candies and found it to be a delightful addition to the presentation. The cellophane wrap not only added a touch of elegance but also served as a protective coating, keeping the moisture away from the treats.
One of the highlights of this product is the single color option, which made it easy to coordinate with any gift or project. The rolls are available in various lengths, with each measuring 20" x 12.5', providing just the right amount of material for multiple uses. As someone who enjoys experimenting with different colors, I appreciate that the Hygloss Cello Wrap Roll is available in a variety of shades, making it suitable for any occasion or project.
However, I did find that the cellophane wrap can be a bit challenging to work with at times, as it tends to stick to itself. A little bit of patience and care while handling the wrap is necessary to avoid unwanted creases or tears.
Overall, the Hygloss Cello Wrap Roll Clear is a useful and fun product to have in your crafting arsenal. With a bit of practice and patience, it can add an extra touch of elegance and creativity to any gift or project.

Wrapping your baskets, candy platters, or treats with these Cellophane Rolls adds a touch of professionalism. They make even the most mundane bulletin board displays look magical. Their versatility in various classroom applications can turn the most routine tasks into a fascinating and innovative project.
However, one must remember that these rolls come in at 6 each, which might not be sufficient for larger projects. That said, they work really well for smaller DIY tasks and create a unique touch in classroom experiments.

I recently gave this Clear Cellophane Wrap a try, and I must say, it made gift-giving much more fun and stylish. This high-quality wrap is perfect for a variety of occasions and can be used on baskets, boxes, picture frames, and even wine bottles. The thickness ensures it doesn't tear or break easily, unlike other cellophane wraps I've tried.
One minor drawback is that it comes in a large 110 ft roll, which might not be suitable for everyone. But overall, this wrap helped me create beautiful, crystal-clear gifts that my recipients couldn't help but be delighted by. Give it a try, and don't miss out on the convenience and style it brings to your gift-giving game.

🔗High-quality, Durable Clear Wrapping Paper Roll

I recently had the chance to try out the iLovepaper Clear Cellophane Wrap Roll, and I must say, it was a game-changer for me. This wrap roll is ideal for wrapping gifts, baskets, or any other item that needs a luxurious touch. The 3 Mil thickness offers excellent durability, providing a 300% better durability than other 1 Mil market options.
One aspect that stood out for me was the upscale design. Compared to traditional clear cellophane wrap rolls with order dots, iLovepaper's Irregular White Dots style is more luxurious, perfect for creating a high-end look for any occasion. Moreover, the food-grade safe material eliminated food safety concerns, making it a versatile option for sealing cookies, red wine, or even candies.
What's even better is the multi-purpose nature of this cellophane wrap. Its ability to separate dry and wet items, prepare gift baskets, and save space makes it a handy tool to have in various situations. Lastly, I admire the company's commitment to quality. Each roll undergoes rigorous testing to ensure it won't rip or tear easily. This is a wrap roll that is dense, odorless, and, most importantly, reliable.

🔗Elegant 100ft Clear Cellophane Wrap for Gift Wrapping, Baskets, and Arts & Crafts

It's been a lifesaver with this Super Z Outlet 100ft Clear Cellophane Wrap Roll. Imagine getting everything done in one go - oh wait, that's what it allows you to do! With a whopping 100ft roll, it wraps not just smaller gifts, but all the larger ones too. No fiddling with different rolls, no tedious cutting and tearing - just seamless gift wrapping.
What really stood out for me was its durability. Thanks to its 2.3 mil thickness, my wrapped items survived the rigmarole of handling and delivery like champs. And don't even get me started on its presentation! The crystal clear cellophane made every little snack or treat look like a royal feast.
But there was one minor hiccup. The width, while great for wrapping variety, wasn't always the most convenient for smaller gift items. However, considering the overall efficiency, I'd say it's a small price to pay.
In conclusion, this Super Z Outlet 100ft Clear Cellophane Wrap Roll proved to be a game changer in our gift wrapping routine, delivering both functionality and elegance in one go. Perfect for the busybody who needs to wrap everything under the sun in one sitting!

Buyer's Guide

When it comes to gift-giving, presentation is just as important as the gift itself. Clear wrapping papers are a great option for showcasing your thoughtful and creative gifts. These papers come in various sizes, finishes, and patterns, ensuring that you can find the perfect one for any occasion. In this buyer's guide, we will discuss the important features to consider when purchasing clear wrapping papers and provide general advice to help you make the best choice.

Size

https://preview.redd.it/9c0yfwn9sk1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cb63042403920b2e2ce33babb1ad8a78d30567a4
Clear wrapping papers come in different sizes, ranging from small to large. Depending on the gift's dimensions, ensure you choose a paper that can accommodate the item fully without causing any creases or wrinkles. Measure the gift's length, width, and height and select a paper that is at least an inch (2.5 cm) larger in all dimensions.

Finish

Clear wrapping papers can be shiny, matte, or even have a coated finish for a glossy appearance. Shiny papers are great for creating a luxurious look, while matte papers create a more rustic and natural appearance. Coated papers provide a higher level of transparency, making your gift's colors pop out more. Consider the overall appearance of the gift and choose a finish that complements it.

Pattern

Clear wrapping papers also come in a variety of patterns, from simple solids to intricate designs and textures. Choose a pattern that complements the color and style of the gift you are wrapping. A solid color paper can be a great choice if you're looking for a simple yet elegant look, while a patterned paper can add an extra touch of creativity and fun.

https://preview.redd.it/cm8ab63ask1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5a3b33379bf0414617f3f537d16a41b0391b0678

Ease of Use

When choosing clear wrapping papers, look for ones that are easy to work with. Look for papers that are not too thin, as they may tear easily, and not too thick, as they may be difficult to cut and fold. Additionally, choose a paper that is not too sticky, as it may cause the paper to tear when unfolding.

Environmental Concerns

Consider the environmental impact of the clear wrapping papers you are choosing. Look for papers that are made from recycled materials or are biodegradable. This not only helps the environment but also ensures that your gift wrapping is sustainable and eco-friendly.
Clear wrapping papers are a great choice for showcasing your thoughtfully curated gifts. By considering the size, finish, pattern, ease of use, and environmental concerns, you can make an informed decision when purchasing clear wrapping papers. Remember to measure your gift and choose a paper that is the right size, and look for a finish and pattern that complements the gift's overall appearance. Happy wrapping!

🔗Clear Printable Sticker Paper Set

https://preview.redd.it/5sinpkswqk1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=06c9fe41a503998eb2b6748e02d4171e905e7df9
Once I got my hands on the WeLiu Printable Transparent Sticker Paper, I couldn't wait to unleash my creativity. The 25 sheets of vinyl sticker printer paper in standard size 8.5x11" were a joy to work with, and the compatibility with most inkjet printers made it incredibly versatile. However, it's worth noting that they aren't compatible with Epson Eco pot printers.
One thing that really stood out for me was the clear adhesive vinyl sticker paper, which was not only waterproof but boasted an improved crystal clear and shiny finish, making my projects pop. And the permanent adhesion and tear resistance ensure the stickers are durable, perfect for indoor use on various solid surfaces, including projects that add fun and personality to life and work.
Using the WeLiu clear sticker paper was a breeze. It dries incredibly quickly after printing, improving work efficiency and allowing for the enjoyment of colorful patterns or exquisite and smooth labels. The applications are endless, making it perfect for DIY personalized stickers for label text, logos, commercial slogans, mural decorations, diary covers, suitcases, furniture cabinets, refrigerators, and so much more (not recommended for t-shirts).
While the WeLiu Printable Transparent Sticker Paper provides endless possibilities for customizing your life, it's essential to note that it does have a poor waterproof effect. Thus, using it on surfaces with liquid, saturation, or submersion is not recommended, as it will smudge the beautiful printed pattern.
Despite this minor drawback, the ease of printing and application makes me absolutely love the WeLiu Printable Transparent Sticker Paper. Simply insert one sheet at a time into the inkjet printer, let it dry for a few minutes, cut and round the edges for quicker and easier peeling, and finally, clean and dry the chosen surface before applying the vinyl sticker.
Overall, I can't recommend the WeLiu Printable Transparent Sticker Paper enough. It's the perfect addition to any crafting or DIY enthusiast's toolkit, offering endless possibilities for personalizing your life and creating stunning projects.

🔗Transparent Laser Printer Sticker Paper for DIY Personalization

https://preview.redd.it/6cavzbfxqk1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9d6f98e3a7d796908a7fea34ca877df7b7885ba7
I recently had the chance to try out these transparent label papers for myself, and I have to say they've been a game-changer in my DIY decorating projects. The 8.5x11 inch size is perfect for covering larger areas without having to fuss over individual stickers. Plus, the full sheet format means I can customize the entire surface easily.
One thing that stood out to me was how versatile these stickers are. They work perfectly with my laser printer - no jams or smudges! I used them to create personalized stickers for my office supplies, making it easy to identify them at a glance. And because they're 100% transparent, they don't obscure any part of the design underneath.
However, there are a few minor drawbacks worth mentioning. Firstly, the packaging could use some improvement; it would be nice to receive the product in a neatly sealed box with instructions or labels included. Additionally, one reviewer mentioned issues with ink holding on the paper - I didn't experience this myself, but it's worth keeping in mind.
Overall, I'm really happy with these clear sticker papers and would recommend them for anyone looking to add a personal touch to their belongings.

Using WeLiu's Printable Transparent Sticker Paper in my daily life has been quite an adventure! The glossy effect adds a touch of sophistication to every sticker I create, and the 15 sheets in one package are perfect for all my DIY needs.
A unique highlight of this product is the super transparent quality, making it stand out from other sticker papers. However, it's important to note that it isn't waterproof, so using these stickers indoors is your best bet.
Another thing I particularly loved is the ease of tearing the liner from any corner, streamlining the process and allowing me to peel off the stickers without a hitch. The waiting time of 1-5 minutes to allow the ink to dry may seem tedious at first, but it ensures the sticker's longevity and prevents unsightly smudging.
In conclusion, WeLiu's Printable Transparent Sticker Paper is a must-have for every crafter or DIY enthusiast. Its glossy surface, super transparent quality, and easy-to-tear-off liner make it a top choice in the world of stickers. Just remember to use it indoors, and you're good to go.

I recently picked up this Clear Printable Vinyl for my Inkjet Printer, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. The 25 sheets of clear sticker paper are perfect for creating high-quality labels and stickers that are smudge-proof and waterproof. What I love most about this vinyl is how easy it is to use with my inkjet printer, and the quality of the final product is top-notch.
The material is highly durable, made of waterproof and chemical-resistant material, which is a major plus. I find that the sheets are also compatible with most cutting machines, making it a versatile choice for various projects.
However, there were some downsides to this product. I noticed that the vinyl can be slightly tricky to work with, especially when it comes to ensuring proper adhesion. Additionally, the sheets are not repositionable, which can be a little frustrating during the application process.
In summary, the Clear Printable Vinyl for Inkjet Printer offers a great balance of quality and durability, making it a solid choice for those looking to create professional-looking labels and stickers. While it may have some minor drawbacks, the overall experience with this product has been mostly positive.

🔗Waterproof and Durable A4 Transparent Vinyl Sticker Paper for Inkjet/Laser Printer

The waterproof clear vinyl sticker paper I've been using lately has been a game-changer for all my DIY projects. It measures 25 sheets of A4 size that fit perfectly in most inkjet or laser printers. This translucent vinyl comes with an impressive 70% diaphaneity, allowing my photos, posters, or any other designs to have a beautiful, vibrant appearance.
One of the aspects I loved about this sticker paper is its versatility, making it suitable for not just office or school but also home use. It adheres to a variety of surfaces including metal, plastic, glass, and even cardboard. However, for inkjet printers, make sure to use pigmented ink for better results. If you're using dye ink instead, use clear laminate vinyl on your prints or clear varnish spray to make them waterproof.
Though it's a tad on the thicker side at 80μm, I appreciate how this sticker paper is extremely durable and withstands harsh weather conditions, even months of direct sunlight and rain. It also boasts being scratch-resistant and tear-proof, further showcasing its resilience.
One minor issue I had with this product was when it arrived, it was in a rolled-up form which caused it to be a bit crumpled. Nevertheless, a little weight applied over a few days will do the trick of flattening it out. Overall, this waterproof sticker paper has made my DIY projects more vibrant and weather-resistant, definitely worth a try!

🔗Eco-friendly Matte Clear Sticker Paper (20 Sheets)

https://preview.redd.it/gu48p4syqk1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ffb5542c52ed6a2e59d757b7d6328bd082f3a7d9
Earlier this month, I found myself in need of some creative materials for an upcoming project. That's when I discovered this 90% Clear Sticker Paper for my inkjet printer. With 20 sheets in a pack, I was excited to get started on my vision. The sheets are of great quality, they ensure that my designs turn out vibrant and sharp.
One day, while working on a particularly intricate design, I noticed how durable these stickers were. Not only did they not smudge with frequent handling, but they also maintained their color and brightness. It was quite a relief to see my work preserved in such a way.
However, one thing that came as a bit of a letdown was their thickness. It felt a bit too thick to stick it on extremely curved surfaces. Regardless, for everything else, it's been a joy to work with.

🔗Transparent Semi-Super Sticker Paper, Compatible with Inkjet Printers

https://preview.redd.it/adp11o7zqk1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=32bce06bdebc62572a1dca38238c5ff2cb645fd4
I recently stumbled upon the 20-sheet semi-super clear sticker paper for my inkjet printer by Yennsey, and it's been a game-changer in my label-making escapades. The pack comes with eight and a half by eleven-inch sheets, which are compatible with most inkjet printers and craft cutters. It's a simple yet effective solution for various DIY projects, from wedding invitations to party labels.
One of the standout features of this sticker paper is its high-quality, glossy clear vinyl. It not only adds a touch of elegance but also makes the labels durable and waterproof. I've used them on glass, plastic, and metal surfaces, and they stick perfectly without causing any damage upon removal. The removable adhesive is a nice touch, too; it allows me to adjust the stickers during application and ensures no residue is left behind.
However, there's one issue I've encountered. The stickers tend to smudge and scratch easily, especially during the printing process. To avoid this, I recommend running a test copy on a standard sheet of paper before using the sticker paper to ensure optimal settings.
Overall, I've been very satisfied with the Yennsey sticker paper. Its compatibility with various inkjet printers and craft cutters makes it a versatile option for all your labeling needs. As for the smudging issue, it's a relatively small inconvenience in the grand scheme of things, and it hasn't affected my overall enjoyment of the product.

🔗Matte Clear Sticker Paper for Laser Printers (20 sheets) - 8.5 x 11 Inches

https://preview.redd.it/3v56oghzqk1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=938da58ae582560a04a16f63275b607aac791272
I recently purchased the Paper Plan Clear Sticker Paper for my laser printer, and I must say, it has made my DIY projects so much fun and easy. The sheets are perfectly sized at 8.5 x 11 inches and are compatible with any laser printer, which makes them very versatile.
One of the highlights of this sticker paper is that it produces vibrant colors, making it perfect for custom artwork and company logos. The ink dries in just a few minutes, allowing me to apply the sticker soon after printing. Plus, its self-adhesive nature makes it easy to stick on surfaces like wood, glass, and ceramic.
On the downside, this product is only compatible with laser printers, so if you don't have one, you'll have to invest in one before using this sticker paper. Additionally, there might be a waiting period if the company has a lot of orders, so keep that in mind if you're in a hurry.
Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase of the Paper Plan Clear Sticker Paper. The quality is excellent, and the end results are truly professional-looking. If you're into DIY projects or need custom stickers for your business, I highly recommend giving this product a try.

🔗Cricut Printable Clear Sticker Paper for Custom Sticker Designs

So, I tried out this Cricut Printable Clear Sticker Paper, and boy, it's really something! You can create customized stickers using your own designs or photos. I used it for some home decor, and my kids loved putting the stickers all over their bedrooms. The transparency of the stickers gave them a sleek look that blended well on any surface.
One thing that was really great about this product was the ease of use. It was simple to design and print my own stickers. Another highlight was the vibrant colors that came out without the need for any color correction. However, one downside I found was the difficulty in cutting the stickers perfectly; the edges were a little jagged at times.
Another issue was the stickiness of the backing paper, which made it a bit challenging to remove the stickers cleanly. Sometimes, there would be tiny bits of paper left behind. Lastly, the thickness of the sticker paper could be an issue for those with printers that struggle to handle thick paper.
In summary, this Cricut Printable Clear Sticker Paper is perfect for someone looking to have fun with customized stickers, decals, and labels. However, be aware that there might be some challenges with cutting and removing the stickers.

🔗High Quality Glossy Clear Labels

As a product reviewer, I recently had the opportunity to test out Avery's Glossy Clear Rectangle Labels, and I'm happy to report that they have made a noticeable difference in my labeling projects. The first thing that caught my eye was the stunning glossy finish on these labels. When applied to glass or metal surfaces, they practically disappears, giving a clean and professional look to any item.
One of the features that stands out most about Avery's labels is their unique Sure Feed technology. This feature ensures that the labels feed smoothly through the printer without creating jams or smudges. As someone who has dealt with countless printer jams in the past, I can't stress enough how much of a lifesaver this has been for me.
Another highlight is the strength and reliability of its adhesive backing. After attaching my labels to various surfaces, I've had zero issues with them peeling or curling up. And for those who need a label that can withstand a little moisture or weather, you'll be pleased to know that these labels are water-resistant.
However, these labels do come with some minor drawbacks. For one, they aren't compatible with industrial printers or those designed specifically for labeling purposes. Additionally, the glossy finish can make it slightly difficult to read labels that include fine text or small details.
All in all, I'm very impressed with Avery's Glossy Clear Rectangle Labels. They've managed to create a durable, versatile, and visually appealing product that's perfect for both personal and professional use. If you're in the market for high-quality labels, I'd highly recommend giving Avery's Glossy Clear Rectangle Labels a try.

I had been crafting with paper for years, but I always felt limited with the creative possibilities. That was until I discovered Koala Printable Vinyl Sticker Paper. This magical paper has completely transformed my DIY projects, allowing me to breathe life into my designs like never before.
The quality of the vinyl sticker paper is top-notch. As soon as you print out your images or text, they come out vibrant and clear. Plus, the paper's strong adhesive ensures that your stickers will stick to solid smooth surfaces without falling off, even after some water rinsing.
One of my favorite features of this sticker paper is its water-resistance. It's perfect for projects that might get wet or damp, like coasters or name tags for a beach party. The ink doesn't bleed, smear, or smudge, which means your designs will always look sharp no matter how much they've been through.
However, there's been one minor issue I noticed in some cases - the ink may take a bit longer to dry than stated in the product description. I discovered this while working on a time-sensitive project of customized tumblers. To avoid smearing issues, I would recommend waiting at least an hour or two after printing before applying your stickers.
Despite this minor inconvenience, I've been incredibly happy with my experience using Koala Printable Vinyl Sticker Paper. It's allowed me to bring new levels of creativity into my crafting projects, and I can't imagine going back to regular paper now. If you're looking for a versatile material that offers strong adhesion, water-resistance, and stunning print quality, then I highly recommend giving Koala Printable Vinyl Sticker Paper a try.

After spending a week using Gwybkq's Clear Printable Vinyl Sticker Paper for my inkjet printer, I can say that I'm quite impressed with its performance. The paper is of a glossy finish, giving my stickers a sleek and professional look. The weight of the paper is just right – not too thin and not too thick, making it easy to handle. Plus, the 8.5 x 11-inch size is perfect for creating a variety of sticker designs.
However, there are a couple of cons worth mentioning. Firstly, the color accuracy could be improved as I noticed slight variations in color due to differences in lighting and computer monitor resolutions. Secondly, the paper takes a bit longer to dry compared to some other vinyl sticker papers I've tried in the past.
Overall, I'm happy with the Gwybkq Clear Printable Vinyl Sticker Paper and would recommend it to those who need clear sticker paper for their inkjet printer. Just be sure to have a well-lit workspace and patience for drying time!

I have been using Neato's transparent vinyl sticker paper for various DIY projects and I'm absolutely in love with it. The clarity of the stickers is impeccable, and it's incredible how well the colors printed on it. I tried using this for decorating my daughter's birthday party invitations and even customized some beer cans for a friend's housewarming party. It's amazing how versatile and easy to stick these stickers are. Plus, they are compatible with both inkjet and laser printers. It's such a joy to see the endless possibilities of what I can create with this sticker paper.
However, the only downside I experienced was that the sticker paper, though high-quality and weatherproof, is a bit on the costly side. But considering how multi-purpose and durable it is, I believe it's worth the investment.
In conclusion, Neato's transparent vinyl sticker paper has brought a whole new level of customization and creativity into my daily life, whether it be for personal or professional use. I am thoroughly impressed and would definitely recommend it to others!

🔗Clear Printable Vinyl Sticker Paper for Inkjet Printer, 50 Sheets

https://preview.redd.it/ahbvu5r1rk1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c7507ca13c75f9a93d082243c9b85d9ff22b7eef
As a dedicated crafter, I recently had the chance to try out the Gwybkq Clear Printable Vinyl Sticker Paper for Inkjet Printer. I must say, this product has truly changed my DIY game. The 50 sheets of clear, transparent labels not only caught my eye but also made my sticker-making projects look more professional than ever.
One of the highlights of this product for me was its quick-dry feature. I've dealt with many sticker papers that take ages to dry, leaving smudge marks all over my designs when I try to apply them. But with this vinyl sticker paper, I was able to peel off the stickers within minutes without any issues.
Another feature that stood out was how easily it handled my inkjet printer. Some sticker papers tend to jam or produce poor-quality prints, but not this one! My prints came out crisp and clear every single time.
However, I did experience a few minor inconveniences. For instance, the glossy finish may be great for some projects, but it can be quite reflective under certain lighting conditions, making it difficult to read text or see intricate details in some cases. Additionally, while the adhesive is strong, I noticed that the edges of the stickers can sometimes curl up if not applied correctly.
Despite these minor cons, I would still highly recommend the Gwybkq Clear Printable Vinyl Sticker Paper for anyone looking to elevate their crafting projects. The high-quality prints, quick-dry feature, and ease of use make it a valuable addition to any crafter's toolbox!

🔗Transparent Vinyl Sticker Paper for Inkjet Printers

https://preview.redd.it/s2kayu22rk1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ecb927526c8a90bd29ef6ee95ad0b4d7e1007974
As a product tester, I tried this Transparent Clear Inkjet Printer Vinyl Sticker Paper for my DIY projects and to be honest, it was quite a letdown. While the material is indeed waterproof, the ink smudged and came off too easily, making it unfit for long-term use. To make matters worse, the adhesive isn't as strong as advertised, causing the stickers to curl at the edges and peel off.
However, this vinyl sticker paper does live up to its promise of compatibility with both inkjet and laser printers. In fact, it was quite easy to work with, especially when using an inkjet printer. Its glossy clear appearance gives a professional finish to your designs, but it's worth mentioning that the material is actually glossy white in real life, which could be misleading for some customers.
Another highlight is its quick-drying feature. Ink dries within five minutes, offering a high-sticky and high-stable surface for your designs. However, this also makes it prone to smudging, as the ink doesn't dry completely, causing it to smear easily.
In summary, while this Inkjet Printer Vinyl Sticker Paper has some promising features, the poorly executed ink resistance and weak adhesive make it difficult to recommend for anyone looking for a long-lasting, quality product. It's best to keep looking for a more reliable option.

Buyer's Guide

If you're in search of high-quality clear sticker papers for your next creative project, there are several important features and considerations you should keep in mind. Understanding these points will help you make a well-informed decision when purchasing your sticker papers.

Material and Durability

The choice of material plays a significant role in the durability and performance of your clear sticker paper. It's essential to look for options made from high-quality materials such as polyester or vinyl, which provide long-lasting resistance to water, UV rays, and regular wear and tear.

https://preview.redd.it/1tghskg3rk1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=902ef9cc2816c75dce1fcd2bcc69885f00278d21

Adhesive Strength

Consider the adhesive strength of the sticker paper. Depending on your intended application, you may require different levels of adhesion. Permanent adhesive is best for applications where you do not want the sticker to be removable, while repositionable adhesive is ideal for projects that may require adjustments during application.

Thickness and Dimensional Stability

The thickness of clear sticker paper can affect the quality and appearance of the finished product. A thicker option will provide a more substantial feel and better resistance to creasing and tearing. Additionally, look for papers with good dimensional stability, ensuring that they maintain their shape and size over time.

Print Quality

The quality of the print on clear sticker paper is crucial for achieving professional-looking results. Ensure that the paper can handle your preferred printing method, such as inkjet or laser, and delivers high-resolution, vibrant, and long-lasting prints.

Ease of Use

The clear sticker paper should be easy to work with, allowing for quick and efficient cutting and application. Look for options with a user-friendly coating, minimizing the chance of smudging or smearing during the printing and cutting process.

Compatibility with Printer Models

Ensure that the clear sticker paper you choose is compatible with your specific printer model. Incompatible materials may cause issues with print quality, feed compatibility, or worse, damage your printer. Always check the compatibility list provided by the paper manufacturer.

Customer Reviews and Reputation

Before making your purchase, consider the reputation of the brand and the feedback given by previous buyers. Reading genuine customer reviews can provide a good understanding of the product's overall quality, performance, and user satisfaction.

2024.05.20 13:25 Enough_Telephone_570 AITA for telling my wife her birthday gift is a door?

I (26 M) and my wife (21 F) were supposed to take our 9 month old daughter to a (my side) relative's 1 year old birthday party. We ended up missing it because we forgot about it until the time where it was supposed to start and I was out with some friends when I remembered. I texted my wife that we forgot about the birthday and she started blowing up my phone and texting asking what time it starts and telling me we can still make it and to pick her up. I declined her calls and texts since I was busy helping my friends and couldnt leave as I had already committed to helping them. About 2.5 hours later on my way home I called her back and she started screaming at me about how selfish I was and that she really wanted to go and get to know the lady that invited her because she wanted to make some friends and that she's always lonely. She said it was my fault because she reminded me "multiple times" to ask for the exact time from my cousin but I never did. So I told her we can just drop off a gift on our way to her parent's house since we were supposed to go there at the time I would get home anways. When she told me that the party would be over by now anyways I stated that I was told the party ends at 5 (it was 2:30 when I remembered the birthday and 4:45 when I headed home). When she heard this she went ballistic on me and shut in my face after telling me I "had all this time to make it and take her but instead ignored all her texts and calls because I wanted to spend extra time outside". She said that I was only supposed to be gone for 2 hours but instead stayed out for almost 5 hours and didnt even have the courtesy to let her know. I got super upset but when I came home I tried to act nice to her and when she got annoyed that I kept persisting she said ill be pissed when I find out what happened anyways. I asked her what she meant and she showed me the supply closet door had a big crack in it. She said it was an accident when she kicked the door shut cause she was upset so I told her to pick which one of her things I should break to teach her a lesson. She said she wont let me break her things and then we left the house and stopped by her doctor on the way there. After she came back she apologized for "acting crazy" and breaking the door. Her 22nd birthday is 5 days away and I was supposed to buy her an expensive gold bracelet that she knew about but instead I told her "its fine, I know what I'm getting you as a birthday gift now though, its a door". She started crying silently and is now refusing to speak to me. I dont think I'm the asshole, and I think she deserves to learn a lesson, so I'm mostly looking to see what others think. So, AITA?

2024.05.20 09:20 Consistent_Annual315 Hi everyone I'm trying to reach out to Milo and see if I can maybe talk with him about coming to Oklahoma City

Hi everyone I'm trying to reach out to Milo and see if I can maybe talk with him about coming to Oklahoma City
I would take him on the most wonderful day here's my itinerary
And of course it would have to be what he like to so..
First we're going to go to a wonderful gym and there is a climbing wall at pool it's a little bit away but I can get us there don't worry. Then we're going to go to the botanical gardens there is so much to see there. Then I'm taking you to the gilded acorn or possibly willows or possibly the Flint or maybe mahogany, several lovely places downtown Oklahoma City. Then daily mass is Thursday Friday Tuesday at noon and we would do that. Then I drop off some supplies and help to some people from 1 to 4:00 when I can that is we barter and trade food, toilet paper medicine supplies. I was out of salt pepper and garlic and I had other foods so I was able to trade those foods for salt pepper and garlic until the first when I get more money. And then wait that was a total tangent sorry the itinerary
I'm thinking first a great workout then the botanical garden then Mass at noon then lunch over at the Flint or mahogany and then I want to show you Capitol Hill the Oklahoma bar association is two doors down, there is the OU medical community off of Capitol Hill in the Northeast side of Oklahoma City. And then there is the wonderful building that I live in, Milo they make us wonderful food everyday and Monday through Friday. Sometimes it's soul food sometimes it's homemade I mean Cajun level gumbo or it's a mix of lovely beef shrimp. We have a wonderful community coordinator. And Milo if you ever wanted to move someplace the building right here where I am is perfect you would love it here the culture the community everybody loves one another and everybody would be highly supportive of your goals and everybody gets involved with one another. We have church services, we have a strong community of believers and there are some other difficult cases that need help some of them are leaving recidivism for the first time and they're trying to rebuild their lives. And Milo it would just be wonderful for you to be in Oklahoma City maybe just live here for a year or so at our building, it would be so great plus also also also also I want to plan a great big 40th birthday party for you because Milo it doesn't matter about 0 to 40 all of those years are just trading Wheels putting it all together. I may not always agree with you or like what you do or like how you act but I'm Linda like I tell Laura loomer I'm still everybody's friend like I tell crazy Ted and Jack and the rest is crazy men, I have no resentment towards them. I didn't like how Laura loomer got used and taking advantage of and she got hurt she deserves to be better paid and well paid and people are not noticing her work and there's just so much there because the young people versus the old people have very different ways of communicating. Look how Piers Morgan kind of mistreated Laura but Laura was just trying to do full disclosure and post I guess messages or something I don't know young people utilize technology in different ways than other men and women who are older utilize technology it's just a difference in generational matters
The anti-Semitism must be stopped but it always existed so I don't know which is heartbreaking Milo. It just breaks my heart because I am from the Roman Catholic Italian Church the Serbian Orthodox church and through the Bible radio or they use the Scofield bible and the racist anti-semite bigotry misogynistic haters said that I can't have through the Bible radio and how Jay Vern and McGee is terrible because he used that translation. Jay Vernon McGee is a Bible teacher that could have wipe the floor with all these spiritual manipulations just like I do I take spiritual manipulations and wipe the floor with them

🔗Clear 5-foot Cellophane Wrap for DIY Gifts and Creations

I recently used this Clear Cellophane Wrap to add a touch of elegance to my gift baskets. The 30-inch by 5-foot roll was perfect for covering a large basket for a birthday party I attended.
It's made of high-quality, glossy cellophane that's thicker and sturdier than other brands, so it doesn't tear easily while wrapping. I loved how versatile it is - I used it to wrap a birthday gift, create a DIY holiday gift basket, and even make candy leis for a graduation celebration. This Clear Cellophane Wrap definitely made my gifts stand out, and I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking to add a special touch to their gift giving.
The only downside is that it's a bit on the expensive side compared to other wraps, but the quality and versatility are well worth the investment.

I recently came across the Fiesta Wraps 200 ft Green Cellophane Wrap Roll. To say it's been a game-changer in my gift-wrapping routine would be an understatement! This roll of 16-inch-wide, 200-feet-long, transparent green cellophane has proved incredibly versatile.
First off, I love how it instantly elevates the appearance of any gift. Wrap your boxes or baskets with this, and you're guaranteed an aesthetically pleasing result that rivals any store-bought present. Its long length also allows me to cover large items or create extra-long 'gift bag' handles.
The quality of this cellophane wrap is incredible. At 25 mic-thick, it's durable and doesn't tear or get damaged easily, even if there's some rough handling during transport. Plus, it seals perfectly, keeping your gifts safe from moisture and dust.
However, there are two minor cons. Firstly, cutting through this thick cellophane can be challenging without using scissors. Secondly, this isn't a shrink wrap roll, so it's not suitable for projects requiring shrink wrapping.
All in all, the Fiesta Wraps Green Cellophane Wrap Roll has made wrapping presents a lot more enjoyable and professional-looking. Highly recommended!

🔗Transparent Cello Wrap - 40' x 30

https://preview.redd.it/cfw8lmmphi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=afc7b9f16ee3cd56046a7f6609dac8d1e163c101
As a product reviewer, I recently used the Cello Wrap Clear 40' for a variety of gift-wrapping projects. I was initially drawn to its transparent design, which allowed me to easily see the contents of my gift baskets and raffle items. The large 40' roll made it easy to wrap multiple gifts, and its sturdy quality material ensured that it held up well during my wrapping endeavors.
However, one downside was the lack of variety in terms of width or color options - though the clear aspect did provide a certain sophisticated look to my finished products. Overall, I would recommend the Cello Wrap Clear 40' to anyone in search of a durable and transparent gift-wrapping solution.

As a seasoned gift-wrapper, I've tried my fair share of cellophane wrapping options over the years. However, the Stobok Clear Cellophane Wrap Roll truly stands out from the rest. Its 2.5 Mil thickness provides a sturdy, durable feel that not many other products can boast of. Additionally, the roll's generous size (100 feet long when unfolded) has saved me countless trips to the store, allowing me to wrap everything from small treats to large baskets effortlessly.
What makes it even more versatile is the see-through feature - it adds a touch of elegance to any gift, whether it's a wine bottle or a flower arrangement. The Stobok Clear Cellophane Wrap Roll also excels at preserving freshness and hygiene, keeping your food gifts clean and safe from external contaminants. Plus, wrapping with this roll is sheer convenience; you can cut it into any desired length with ease.
However, the only downside I found was the slightly challenging process of removing the backing from the roll. But once that's done, it's smooth sailing all the way. All in all, the Stobok Clear Cellophane Wrap Roll is a clear winner for me and has become a staple in my gift-wrapping supplies.

They're extra long, so I can wrap even my most unwieldy gifts in one go, and the thickness provides extra support without compromising its ease of use. Plus, they're food-safe, which means I can even use them for wrapping baked goods or candies.
They're truly a must-have for anyone looking to add a touch of elegance to their gift-giving.

How to measure how much cellophane wrapping paper I need for my gift?

Cellophane wrapping papers cannot be cleaned or removed once they have been stained. Prevent staining by handling the paper gently and avoiding contact with oily or greasy substances. When possible, use two sheets of paper instead of one to minimize the risk of accidental staining.

Are cellophane wrapping papers acid-free?

Yes, cellophane wrapping papers are generally acid-free. This makes them suitable for archival and conservation purposes, ensuring that delicate artifacts, paper, and photographs remain in good condition for long periods.

What is the difference between cellophane wrapping papers and wax paper?

Cellophane wrapping papers are made from cellulose, which is a natural and biodegradable material derived from plant fibers. They provide a transparent appearance with excellent resistance to moisture, grease, and air. Wax paper, on the other hand, is coated with a thin layer of wax, which gives it a non-stick surface, making it suitable for food storage and cooking purposes.

2024.05.20 04:02 Jexvite GORILLA TAG TIMELINE/LORE AS OF OG CAVES UPDATE

So, this is really long but I think it's worth the read as there has been nothing else like this in the Gtag community before. I have been working on this almost every day since Valentines Day Update 2022. I have changed it, restarted it, and updated it for every new Gtag update. I will make Updates to the in the future as it seems like we are getting more updates and more maps in the future.
Updates are not always literal, for example, the Human Tag Update only shows that humans exist or once existed in the Gorilla Tag world. The Monkes are not literally wearing masks that resemble humans. This logic applies to every update unless it's just cosmetics or a new map. Also, it's really weird at the first few Chapters so just stick with it or skip ahead. Ask any question in the comments about why I put the things I put and if you want evidence.
Most recent Updates to this are in Chapters 8, 14, 15, and 16

Humans, the most powerful species on Earth has cut down the Tree of Life and taken Mother Nature out of control. This leaves the Illuminati to slowly creep into the modern society. Some Humans form a cult around it, and they are the most powerful people on Earth. That means, the Illuminati can tell them to do something, and they can affect the most powerful nations on the planet.
Eventually, the Illuminati tricks the humans into fighting each other. The biggest nations on the world begin to go to war with some of the biggest possible nukes. They destroy the surface of the Earth causing it to go into a nuclear ice age. The Illuminati, an ice god, now has full control over Earth. Anytime life appears, it almost instantly dies. However, some humans were able to survive and eventually, the ice age comes to an end, and no god is in control of Earth.
Chapter 2: Monke
200,000 BI - 1,001 BI
After hundreds of thousands of years of evolution, Humans have evolved into a new species called Monkes. Monkes are gorilla-like apes that can survive the harshest of conditions. Their diet consists of grass and bugs. Some bugs and patches of grass have survived over the past few million years.
Mother Nature has started to take back control of the world as she creates the Tree of Life and a whole forest around it in a crater from a nuke. Many Monkes travel to this crater and end up being trapped as the forest is on a lower level then the rest of the crater.
Chapter 3: Rise of the Monkes
1,000 BI - 601 BI
All other Monkes go extinct meaning that the only remaining Monkes are in this crater. One day the Monkes decide to finally make the jump as they all jump down into the forest. Most of them die, but the few that survive are left without legs. About 100 Monkes are alive and they quickly learn to use their arms like legs.
Unfortunately, just like there Human ancestors, the first thing they do is cut down the Tree of Life and use its wood. This leaves Mother Nature powerless again. The wood from the Tree of Life will last them for thousands of years. They build bridges, tree houses, ramps, and a gazebo in the forest. All the children of the surviving Monkes also don't have legs making it now a fundamental part of their species.
They hollow out the inside of the Tree of Life's stump and start to build tunnels out of it. These tunnels reach out to all over the crater. One tunnel leads to a small set of canyons covered in sand. Another tunnel leads to a massive flat, rocky, landscape in the other side of the crater. The final tunnel goes straight down into the ground until it hits a large cave filled with crystals.
They build mines underneath the cave and harvest the large crystals. These crystals are radioactive because of the ancient nukes. The Monkes harvest the crystals and start to use them in technology. They create lamps, litghtposts, lights, signs, and even their greatest accomplishment a computer.
Chapter 4: The City
600 BI - 30 BI
The large, flat, rocky landscape they discovered has a lot of useful recourses in it. Over the next few hundred years they build an entire city with large skyscrapers and new technology that is widespread. There are thousands of Monkes now living in The City. The forest and canyons have become vacation places for most Monkes, and the homes of the most rich or important Monkes.
The Monkes decide to have a leader, so a rich family decides to step up and become the royals of the Monkes. There king is named Yorick, and their queen is named Lucy. They both live in a basement-like area rights next to the main entrance into The City. Queen Lucy also turns the canyons into an industrial area and improves quality of life for the main populous.
King Yorick and Queen Lucy have a son named Blue. By the time Prince Blue was 13 he already starting his dream job of being a scientist.
Chapter 5: The Hunt War
29 BI - 21 BI
A tunnel is dug in city after, and they dig all the way until the edge of the crater. The walls of the crater look like large mountains from down below and they are extremely cold. They accidentally cause an avalanche, and the base of the walls are filled with snow and ice. From this avalanche comes the god of chaos and ice, the Illuminati. The Illuminati causes many snowstorms and causes a sort of Ice Age.
Queen Lucy tries to keep everyone calm and civil. However, the Illuminati is able to influence the Monkes minds and causes chaos and destruction to happen all throughout Monke society. After years of pure chaos, the Monkes are able to split into two factions, The Monkes, and the Smiles. They also are helped by newly discovered species that came with the Ice Age. These species are Penguins, Polar Bears, Snow Owls, and many other species that live in the cold. These species were the only survivors of the ancient human war that nearly killed Earth. Over the past few hundred thousand years, they have all migrated across the world, and have worked together even if they were from different poles of the Earth.
The royal scientist, Prince Blue has created many new technologies before. During the war, he creates a Hunt Watch. A Hunt Watch is a watch that targets the nearest enemy to you. Once you touch that enemy with the watch on, they turn into an Ice Monke and can easily be shattered to bits. Over time, this technology allowed them to win the war and bring somewhat order back.
Chapter 6: The Ice Monkes
20 BI - 1 BI
Many Ice Monkes were not killed in the war, usually they were turned into Ice Monkes but were able to get away before being shattered. The Ice Monkes are still just regular Monkes except they are made of ice, can't go near heat, and are fragile. Even though the war was over, the Ice Monkes were still treated horribly. In this already hard time period, the Ice Monkes had absolutely nothing. Many veterans of the war still had their Hunt Watches, causing many more Ice Monkes to be formed.
Meanwhile the Illuminati builds snow castles for itself in the forest. This means that the mountain base was safe to enter now. To lighten the spirit of this dark time they built a large waterslide in this new area. Many murders and crimes still happen throughout The City, but one day it gets out of hand. King Yorick is assonated, his head was chopped off in the middle of The City. The now lonely Queen Lucy keeps his skull in her home.
Chapter 7: The Infection
0 AI - 3 AI
Ever since the bombs dropped hundreds of thousands of years ago, a volcano has slowly been forming in the crater. Now, the volcano has fully formed and is erupting. All the snow and ice are melted, the Illuminati is gone, the caves are flooded, and the mines are caved in. The base of the walls still has snow but lots of it melts and reshapes its surface.
In the lava was an extremophile virus that can survive the lavas heat. It is radioactive and spreads very quickly. This virus is called the Infection, and many Monkes get it. The infected Monkes get resistant to lava, they get stronger, they get faster, there skin is replaced with lava, and they have an uncontrollable instinct to hunt down normal Monkes and infect them.
The infected spread everywhere but The City is able to be kept safe and nobody can enter or leave The City. After a few years the volcano stops erupting, but the Infection stays around.
Chapter 8: Calming Down
4 AI - 6 AI
Prince Blue finds a cure for the Infection, some Monkes are given jobs to specifically leave The City and cure a ton of infected Monkes. They start doing this and it actually works. The cure is called Kai Juice. Anytime someone enters The City, they are given Kai Juice just in case. It is no longer dangerous to leave The City as if you get infected you can immediately drink some Kai Juice and go back to normal.
The caves and mines are drained and dug up. The old caves and mines completely caved in and revealed even more caves underneath. They start mining again and find loads of dinosaur bones along with a 40-foot-long crystal. Prince Blue has a son named Pink, but unfortunately during such great times, Queen Lucy dies of old age. Blue becomes King Blue and Pink becomes Prince Pink. There is a massive funeral for Queen Lucy that spans from The City all the way to the forest. They burn her body and put her ashes in a vase beneath a grave.
Chapter 9: Exploration
7 AI - 17 AI
A large tunnel is found on the forest walls, they follow it, and it leads out of the crater. Just on the other side of the crater is a beach covered in ancient, broken, human buildings. King Blue sees this and is the first to figure out that there was a complex civilization before them.
A few years later, they have made boats to sail out into the ocean and have built shops to supply the ships on shore. The ocean and beach are also home to many new animals. Meanwhile, King Blue discovered that if an infected Monke stays infected for multiply years, they harden and become rock. When they harden, they can't infect anything, but they can't be cured either. They also get even stronger, even faster, and their rock skin is almost impenetrable.
Chapter 10: The Tree of Life
18 AI - 47 AI
King Blue has been studying everything he can since he became king, and he has noticed that it is possible to revive the Tree of Life. For hundreds of years the Tree of Life's stump has been sitting in the forest, so King Blue is going to be the first one to do anything about it.
Over the next decade they nurture the stump and help it constantly until the Tree of Life has fully grown back. The only problem is that the Tree of Life is almost a mile tall, and they can't climb up that. King Blue and his engineering team spend the next few years building a rocket. When they are finished, they put it in the middle of The City and launch it. On the rocket is a team of explorers and engineers to work on top of the Tree of Life.
When on top of it they build large platforms along with massive rocks wheels and other things powered by winds. When they come back down, months later, they tell everyone what they built. The rocket becomes the main form of transportation in between The City and the Tree of Life’s top. The public uses that rocket to get up there because now people live on top of the Tree of Life in a place called Cloudtown.
Chapter 11: Calm Before the Storm
48 AI - 54 AI
King Blue and his team start to develop a new rocket after realizing how well they built the first rocket. The second rocket they build is not in The City and much larger. They build this rocket for years before eventually, it is done. It launched, flew out of the atmosphere, and took a 3-day journey through space until they landed on the Moon.
The Illuminati has created a being named Humbug. Humbug appears as a 30-foot-tall snowman. Humbug also has the abilities to change size, change the size of other things, transform, and transform other things. He takes the form of an old Monke named Santa Claus. In the form of Santa, he would give out presents to everyone and create ridiculously large birthday cakes for everyone. Everyone loved him and had no idea of his true form. He would use his powers every now and then to shrink people down and kidnap them. Over time he would slowly transform them into children's toys that he would give out to the people. However, the Santa form broke down over time. His red clothes and white beard becoming gray. But the public still loved and cherished him.
Chapter 12: Humbug
55 AI - 62 AI
Humbug reveals his true form and takes over The City. He shrinks down King Blue and Prince Pink. He then mutilates and transforms them into monsters called the Monkeyes. He traps them in a miniature maze and throws Monkes in there to be killed by their previous leaders. Everything is covered in snow once again by the Illuminati, but he still is not fully in control. Humbug takes over everything the Monkes have made before climbing his way up the Tree of Life. Humbug makes it up there and destroys Cloudtown in an attempt to take control over the Tree of Life. This does not work.
Over a few years, the Monkes have been able to create something called a Tesla Coil. The Tesla Coil is a machine that can take away Humbugs powers and use it against him. Humbug's powers are stripped away, and the Monkes take back control. Humbug is shrunken down and trapped in a miniature maze. The Monkes also start to use his powers to make themselves super big. However, with King Blue and Prince Pink turned into monsters, and Humbug overthrown, the Monkes have no leader.
Chapter 13: The Giants War
63 AI - 75 AI
The Monkes have been living peacefully for a few years, but eventualy, the different sizes start to look down on each other. This leads into the Giants War, where the different Monke sizes fight for 9 years. Eventually, the Monke population dwindle so much, that the war ended. The Monkes that did not change their size did not interact with the Monkes that changed their size. Now, tiny Monke skulls and giant Monke skulls are littered everywhere, and the only surviving Monkes are the ones that never changed their size.
Chapter 14: Peace
76 AI - 90 AI
The Tree of Life grows massively and repairs the damage done by Humbug years ago. Countless new branches and huge leaves sprout from its trunk. This allows the Monkes to make their way back up to the treetop with a newly repaired rocket. Cloudtown is rebuild, slowly, but rebuilt nonetheless. This is called, New Cloudtown.
A year after the Giants War ends, the skulls and bodies are cleared out. The City was practically empty as most buildings were either destroyed, damaged, or tilted over in the war. Many Monkes just went to New Cloudtown to survive as going anywhere else other than The City would mean being attacked by Infected Monkes. Also, during this time, the mutated monsters that were once King Blue and Prince Pink were killed by another Monke for sport. Their souls go on to become ghosts that wander the city. King Blue's soul becomes a ghost called the Ghost Wanderer, and Prince Pink's soul becomes a ghost called the Ghost Lurker.
The population has grown more, and the Monkes have created sports to celebrate the era of peace. These sports are Hockey, Watersoccer, and Paintbrawl. This happens during the fall where Lucy's spirit flies out from her grave and starts playing with some random civilian Monkes. She then reunites with the souls of her son and grandson in the forms of the Ghost Wanderer and the Ghost Lurker.
Chapter 15: Advancements
91 AI - 100 AI
A new type of plant is found in New Cloudtown. This plant sprouts large leaves with handle-like stems. These plants are called Glider Vines. The leaves of Glider Vines are used as gliders to fly around New Cloudtown.
The Monkes are unable to explore anymore. The ocean is too vast, they never got back from explorers they sent into the ocean, and the crater walls are too high to climb. So, they spend a few years creating an artificial environment that they can change on a will. They do this by using a Tesla Coil that harness Humbug's powers. In the first testing of it, they try to bring back the vast cave systems they found hundreds of years ago. It was an attempt to make infinite recourses. It turns out as a failure, everything is extremely broken and blocky. After much testing, they have it so it could be a tundra, a swamp, an ancient temple, and basically anything else. This underground, artificial environment is called Rotation.
They decide to excavate a larger area for Rotation. They then finish their original plan of recreating that same ancient cave system. This time it works, and it looks just like how it did hundreds of years ago. However, during the excavating of the larger area, the long dead Queen Lucy's vase finds itself in Rotation. Minor Monkes enter this cave and start mining, but when they discover Lucy's vase, they open it. From her long dead ashes rises the confused, lost, and insane spirit of Lucy. She has been trapped underground in the dark for almost a century now and has gone insane. The minors call her the Burnt Lucy, a dark reflection of their long dead Queen.
Chapter 16: The Return of Humbug
101 AI - ??? AI
The usage of the Tesla Coil attracts Humbug. He is able to escape the miniature maze the Monkes trapped him in, and slowly make his way to Rotation. When he arrives, he is able to get some of his powers back from the Tesla Coil, but he is noticed by the Monkes.
One of the first things Humbug does is kidnap three Monkes and turns them into small monsters called Monkeyes. He places them in the tiny maze that he was once trapped in.

2024.05.20 02:30 Purple-Difficulty784 Help! Tell me what to buy!

My wife has a couple sticknpoke tattoos and is interested in learning how to do it. I want to support her interests and get her some supplies for her birthday. I’ve gathered that starter kits aren’t the best quality, but I also don’t want to get the echelon of materials in case this doesn’t stick (no pun intended).
What would you recommend for a beginner:
-Needle(s) -ink -practice skin(?) -printer -anything else I’m missing?
Thanks so much in advance!
