Cell phone signature suggestions

On another post, I am seeing so many stylists don't have a business line and are using their personal phones for clients. Guys, you absolutely deserve a day off. And that means not even knowing that a client is barking at you until you want to choose to look. I use google-fi for my work phone. It is 25.00 a month because I don't use any data really. On that phone, I get the calls, texts and emails. I leave that phone home when I am not working. And honestly on my days off, I do check daily but only once. When I decided to get second line, I just kept my old number as business phone and then got a new number for my personal. I did this about 20 years ago. My coworkers even just leave their work cells at the shop. You deserve space and downtime.

I was in ‘date mode’ when my best friend grabbed my phone and turned it off, for some random reason. I had been chatting with this guy I was really interested in,but now I’m bummed out because our conversation got deleted. I’ve searched for him on various social media platforms, but haven’t had any luck. Does anyone suggest alternative ways to retrieve this conversation?

My regular cell network and imessage and facetime got completely messed up after using Airalo. I'll never use it again, it caused me so many issues. I had to call my provider and was on the phone with them for an hour as they manually reconnected my SIM. But then my imessage still wouldnt work so I had to call Apple, only to be told to call my provider and ask them to re-provision my phone number so that it could be activated for iMessage. The massive headache that Airalo causes greatly outweighs the very minor convenience it offers. Would not recommend to anyone. Just use the travel / roaming feature offered by your provider. Airalo is a dog's breakfast.

On the other hand, i feel like I'm interrupting them when it's time to help.

Whenever i search for hdr videos on YT there is no hdr support on video settings. Also if i download a hdr video & try to play it on the media player nothing changes. I use my father's ipad pro & i can clearly see how hdr works but there is no such thing on op7t. It has never worked ever since i bought the phone but i always wondered how make it work.
Any suggestions.

Is it just the Pacific northwest or nationwide? Phones are randomly calling or phones not calling in or out. An Autozoner used his cell phone to call the store and now his cp number is being spoofed to continue calling the store. Yikes!

So, the reasoning this salacious, scandalous fun event that took place doesn't matter, is because obviously if a female finds out about her boyfriends after hour pool fucking that you're not attending, you're probably not going to be super chill about it and if you can make his life miserable, you could just throw it out there on top of being a bad boyfriend, he may be a murderer.

I’m very ignorant when it comes to this subject so please bear with me. I just recently got my phone turned off because I could no longer afford payments (it was $144 a month) & I’m not going to be able to pay off my balance anytime soon since it’s well over $1000. I’ve been trying to find ways that I can still have access to the internet when I leave the house but I don’t know how potable WiFi’s work. Where can I get one without having to go through a phone carrier? Preferably one that’s under $100 a month and works well in remote locations. Please help, I feel so unsafe leaving the house without cell service or a connection to WiFi

Hi all,
I have recently built my first pc and have really been enjoying it. However, I have been having problems connecting my Sony WH1000-XM5 headphones to the pc without the sound quality being terrible. It is very choppy and the latency is unbearable.
I have been troubleshooting, but like I said I am new to PC, and very well could be missing something obvious. I have updated drivers. I have disabled the devices as a headset, not headphones. I have disconnected and reconnected plenty of times. I have disabled handsfree telephony underneath the services tab. I am lost.
The headphones work fine connected to my phone via Bluetooth. They also work well when connected with an aux cable to my pc. I also tried connecting my AirPods to my pc and they were just not able to connect. Could my Bluetooth signal be too weak?
If anyone has a suggestions or input it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm starting flight school soon, and I have to have an iPad for some of the applications. I'm getting a new phone soon before I start. I've been an Android guy for years and I currently have an s22 ultra. I was going to get a s24 or a pixel 8 pro when a family member suggested an IPhone 15 Pro to work with the iPad. Is it worth switching over to Apple for the ecosystem?

I have the know how to do most console repairs and some soldering if needed (trying to avoid soldering if possible) and I want to turn my love for tinkering and fixing things into something where I could make a tiny profit as well. Not trying to get rich or retire, just have some kind of positive return on an item.
To me, some of the easiest repairs are disc drives, batteries etc. but I’m having a hard time finding one that I wouldn’t break even on. I see some many Xbox ones that have a broken disk drive with no cords or controllers for $30 plus $15 shipping and with parts it would be another $20 or so. Right now I see some selling for $60-$80 so there’s really not a ton of room for profit. There’s some, but not a lot.
I’d love to do phones as well, I see so many iPhones but I’m a little intimidated by those because I was under the impression that you need special tools to reprogram the new parts to work with iPhone repairs.
Does anyone have any suggestions on both the profit margin for consoles and also what devices you recommend I go after for repairs?

My mother wanted to buy a laptop. She is not tech-savvy and retired recently. But she is comfortable using the touchscreen. She also wanted a big screen/monitor.
She initially planned to buy a desktop. I suggested buying a touchscreen laptop and a monitor as it will be convenient down the line.
I don't live near her at the moment. I asked her to check the local stores to get a feel of what model and type of laptop she wanted to buy and then we could check online and order. My elder brother was living with her.
So my brother took my mom to a mall to check a few showrooms today. They had few models which my mother liked but the models were a year old and price was ~5% higher than online.
My brother insisted on buying it from store today itself. I told him to don't make hasty decisions. Just gather the info and we could buy online or go back this weekend. It's not like my mom wanted a laptop tomorrow morning.
My brother got frustrated with that and shouted at me over the phone saying "You are not the one who is tagging along with my mom and going from shop to shop". He is adamant on buying something from the store today itself.
So AITA for suggesting to make a decision later and buy online rather than buying something from store because you spent 3 hours in 3 stores. It's not like I'm against the store. I just wanted to see where I can save some money.

So bought a 2021 HRV and turns out it doesn't come with Android play, so that's fun, now I will need a good phone holder for my car, any suggestions??

This is inspired by so many posts in the jobs and debt subs where people seem genuinely helpless and distressed.
Obviously, finances and lifestyle are deeply personal and, in reality, no one would allow another person to see the full situation and/or make suggestions, so financial coaches and teachers sort of just have to believe the person with only a cursory idea of the person's situation (like official income and bills).
Still, I can't help to think that, for so many people who claim they can't save or make ends meet, etc., if they could be fully observed 24/7 for a full month (hell, even a week or day) and have full access to their finances (including all income, debt, financial records, etc.), as well as habits; how they spend their time, etc., then their problems could be diagnosed and a plan could be devised to fix their situation; like, "Why are you spending this much on this?" "Did you realize this subscription - that you don't even use - is costing you $50 a month?" "You claim to have no free time to get a second job, but you just watched 4 hours of TV/YouTube each night this week..." etc. I'm not suggesting no one should have any fun or a new iPhone or get coffee from a shop, but it'd be interesting to see the full picture in context.
Again, this would be super invasive and would probably offend the person who was under the microscope, but I was thinking about this while watching "My 600lb Life" last night, since obviously the camera doesn't follow them around 24/7 and they tell Dr. Now that they're sticking to the diet, yet they often don't lose any weight by the follow-up appointment...
Now, assuming someone actually wanted to face the truth of their financial situation and was willing to undergo the potential embarrassment and vulnerability, do you think there'd be a market for this sort of total scrutiny to get a person back on track financially? I'm sure the person themselves wouldn't be able/willing to pay for it, but perhaps a non-profit service? I just know that when I was doing DR's plan, I certainly wasn't as gazelle intense as I could have been and someone delivering this kind of service could have had a million and one ways to tear me apart.
On a side note, I often wonder how much is willful blindness to one's own bad decisions versus genuinely being unaware of problems or bad habits which trap people into poverty or not being able to get ahead financially.

Automation is a nightmare. Especially when both the broker and the 3rd party verification service apply it in a draconian way.
I'm coming across a situation today where a broker will not onboard me unless all of my phone numbers are verified with GoHighway. But if a number changes, GoHighway will flag it as "under review" for 60 days and there's no way for them to expedite the review process. Which means that my business is essentially shut down for 2 months to brokers that rely on GoHighway.
GH also won't verify VOIP numbers even if that is the registered number on the MC.
Changing phone numbers and using VOIP lines is common and standard in any business, so these policies make no sense in 2024. It doesn't do anything to help with security, especially in my case where I have an alternate personal cell phone already verified.

'You're here again.'
It's that same voice you heard before waking up in that pod. You try to speak but fail. It feels like you left your body behind, existing only inside your mind.
'Allow me.'
From the dark, a circle of light emerges, filling your vision. The light is not blinding, nor is it too bright to obfuscate the dark, it's just bright enough to reach your eyes without prompting discomfort.
It's the Star. That much, you know for certain.
Normally, you'd feel hopelessly scared, but somehow, all you feel is soothed by its light.
'I remember telling you we wouldn't see each other for a long time. Why are you here?'
Although you wished to answer the question, you could not. Both because you have no control over your body, and because you don't know the answer.
'...'
You recall the AI telling you the purpose of the ship you're in. It was to study this star.
Why? What's so special about this particular star? Sure, it's on the very edge of the ever-expanding universe, but aside from that, it's just a star. A very odd-looking star, but a star nonetheless.
'What's so special about me... Nothing.'
A shiver runs down your spine. It feels as though you've forgotten a significant thing about yourself, and you're sure this star has something to do with it.
'How are you feeling, Noah?'
Like shit. That is what you wanted to answer.
You've been going with the flow ever since you woke up in that pod, not asking yourself neither how or why you've been put in that place, only nodding your way to the bridge.
You've been bombarded with memories that you're sure aren't yours, but your own memories also feel shrouded in a thick haze, and yet, you didn't bother to even think about why it was, only accepting that as truth without understanding this strange phenomenon.
When confronted with things beyond your current knowledge you refuse to acknowledge it by not asking yourself what it is, or by illuding yourself into thinking it's a dream.
Even now, you refuse to acknowledge this impossible place you've found yourself in.
'Why is it that you turn away?'
What to blame for that? You didn't even feel the need to ask anything about yourself. Randomly remembering things as though you were reading them off a manual, taking whatever FYARN says as an absolute truth, and not even reacting to the abhorrent state of the Odyssey.
When FYARN told you about the relationship between the alien and the human races, it told you how superior humans were, and it also told you that the human race lost the war. You didn't bother to call out that clear discrepancy then because you felt as though it didn't concern you, despite being clearly at the forefront of that conflict.
When FYARN asked what you remembered, you simply stated you didn't remember nearly anything, and yet you've made no strive to fix that issue, accepting it as the absolute truth.
All there was left to blame was yourself.
'You're doing it again, turning away from the truth.'
Was it because your situation was impossibly bizarre?
Waking up in a half-blown spaceship could be enough to drive a man to the brink with how random and impossible that notion was. Especially when that man was just a salary man, living month to month, working an unfulfilling job, all while being called the best.
'Perhaps. But I believe that the issue lies much, much deeper.'
The utter darkness shifts and contorts unexplainably. Moving shadows take formless shapes before you. From black to grey, and from grey to different shades of it. Those shapes of impossible geometry cast shadows downwards, as the star stared at you from above.
The shapes expanded and contracted into euclidean and understandable structures. Tall rectangular towers filled the horizon, decorating a path akin to buildings in a busy city.
On the foot of one of those structures, you see a man dwarfed by the sheer size of the scenery.
'Who do you think that is?'
You approach him.
You see a young man that looks to be in his mid-twenties. Your brown eyes stare back at it, analyzing the bags beneath his eye sockets. The dark hair is neither too long nor too short, hastily combed to hide the laziness behind his look. You see a beard that has not been trimmed for weeks, but also lacks thickness, each singular hair isn't particularly long either; and some even appear to be in-grown.
He's wearing a white tuckered-in buttoned shirt with a pair of jeans. A black backpack weighed on his back as he walked through this empty street.
A position you could imagine yourself in, every day of the week.
If you had failed to piece together who that was, it became clear once you noticed the empty look on his face.
It's obvious who that is.
He is a man whose bright dreams have been crushed under the weight of mankind.
How cruel, to be forced to gaze into a dirty mirror...
'You are starting to see it. Let's go further.'
The ractangular towers floated away, as the man continued to walk into the grey void.
Four white walls covered both you and the man, grey shapes transformed into a chair and desk, inviting the man to sit on it.
It was a plain desk and a plain chair, and when the shapes stopped transmogrifying themselves, a plain computer, monitor, keyboard, and mouse rested atop the desk.
Fitting for a plain man. You watch him sitting down in the chair, putting his backpack on the floor beneath the table.
From the backpack, he conjured a notebook and a set of pencils and erasers. He quickly turned the computer on.
This was his job.
The monitor remained grey despite how the man typed on the keyboard. The notebook remained grey despite how the man scribbled on it with the pencil.
A humanoid figure came to be from the geometric mess of grey nearby. It passed by the working man. "G'day Noah." It spoke, as he vanished into the white walls that surround you.
The man didn't bother to respond, he didn't bother to stop his work, and he didn't even bother to look up from his notebook.
Another humanoid figure passed by, holding what looked to be sheets of paper. "Hey Noah, could you sort these documents out for me? I'm swamped today..."
The man looks at the thick collection of papers in the figure's hands. He just started his shift and already lacks the energy and motivation to keep going with his day.
And despite that, he did not want to disappoint.
He points to the empty space on his desk, motioning for the figure to leave it there.
The figure places the paperwork on the man's desk. "Thanks, I owe you big time for this!" After saying that, the figure disappeared into the white walls of the room.
He did not speak a singular word.
You recall this... Feeling.
'Do you remember their names, Noah?'
You could not.
'Do you remember their faces, Noah?'
You could not.
'These people, you used to see them every day. Why do you not know who they are?'
What was the point of it? Why did it matter? Why did they matter?
'Because they are people.'
To you, those figures were nothing but placeholders for those who did the same thing as you. They were nothing special, just like you. So why bother to recall their faces?
'We must go further.'
The white cubicle ceased to be, alongside the man in plain clothing.
The towering rectangles swiftly returned, and with it came a young adult in his early twenties.
Your brown eyes stare back at his. The short dark hair looked as though it was combed for hours until it was perfect. You see a trimmed beard, neatly cut with a blade most sharp. You see that his face has been recently subjected to a daily skin-care regime.
This young man looks to be full of energy.
He's wearing a white tuckered-in buttoned shirt with a pair of jeans. A black backpack was strapped to his back as he walked through this empty street.
Again, you know who this is, yet you don't have the guts to accept it.
'...'
The ringing tune of a cell phone came from the young man's pockets. He promptly picked it up.
"Hey, Noah!" You hear the voice coming from the other side of the call. "The boys and I are going to throw a party today in my place to celebrate finishing high school. You better show up tonight!" It sounds like the voice originates from a man. He is yelling at the phone.
You watch as the young man smirks. "You can bet I'll be there." He answered. "I'll be done with today's interview and head there as soon as possible."
"Great... Something came up, catch you later bud!" And just like that, the call ended. The young man pocketed his phone.
You know how the rest of that day went. The young man passed the interview and secured his spot in a large IT company, then he went to his friend's place and had the best night of his life.
Those memories were the ones you revisited endlessly.
The grey shapes and humanoid figures vanish, returning to utter blackness.
Once again, all you see is the star.
'What happened, Noah?'
You couldn't say. Maybe it wasn't some big thing that happened, but rather a large quantity of small things that eventually crashed down upon you like an avalanche that built up for a long time.
Friends leaving to live their own lives.
Underappreciation of your career.
Your incapacity to form meaningful relationships.
The feeling of being small in the greater scheme of things.
The notion of your life being wasted for nothing.
A lack of accomplishment that was caused by a lack of problems.
You letting your physical appearance go.
But, even amongst all of those aggravating motives, there was one thing that always pained your heart to even recall. For that reason, you refused to acknowledge and even think about it. A trend that would continue for the upcoming years of your life.
Your dream.
Once adulthood came and expectations weighed on you, you had to choose. Live a comfortable life, or throw it all away in exchange for an idea that probably wouldn't even work, to begin with.
You refused to let go at first. Holding unto what little hope there was left for that dream of yours.
In three short years, your life shifted completely.
Friends grew distant, and now all you had as a replacement for them were faceless figures who spoke to you about a job you never really wanted.
Those very same figures held you in high regard, always saying how talented you were or how impressive your skills were. In truth, you never felt like what you did was worth the effort or the praise.
All you ever did in that company was half-assed at best, yet they praised you like their savior. You grew complacent under those who put you on a pedestal.
Your salary increased, and so did the responsibilities, but never were it challenging or engaging. It felt tasteless and odorless.
You refused to even respond to small talk from those people. How could you? If you did, they would shower you with praises you didn't deserve. That theory was proven time and time again.
All you did every day was sitting on a chair, eyes glued to the screen to meet an assortment of numbers and labels. This was nothing. There were people out there, changing the world, fixing the real problems, and you're there, sorting out numbers for a company created to sort out data for a company created to sort out data.
A null uroboros.
Twenty-eight years of a human's life, and for what? To waste away like a gear on a machine?
You remained ignorant of your ignorance. There were no problems since you had more than enough money from your ever-increasing salary you felt you didn't deserve.
You couldn't even bring yourself to quit, afraid to face the consequences, afraid to be replaced. A fact you understood fully well, yet you refused to acknowledge.
Clinging to a feeling of guilt, you couldn't help but hold on to this life. Your life, Noah.
You longed for a change, but wouldn't bring yourself to change it.
Your dream that you lived for so long ago, is something you couldn't even remember. You hid it away in a dark corner of your mind, hoping to never face it again, or else you would break down.
That is what happened.
The coldness of the world is what happened.
You wouldn't go as far as to say that you were a victim of fate.
Instead, you'd say you were a victim of yourself.
'And yet, you're here now. In an impossible place. In an impossible life.'
Are you to waste away on this place as well?
'You had conviction, but lacked guidance.'
Can you even muster that much courage? You fear what the future could bring.
'I presented you this chance for a reason, so you may show them that your soul is the brightest of them all.'
Fear is born for there is hope, but bravery is born for there is fear. You recall someone telling you that once, but...
'Remember this, Noah.'
Where does the courage to take a step forward come from? When it's so dark that you can't see the path ahead, how should one muster enough courage to make the right call?
'Whenever you feel lost, or alone; Whenever you feel like there is no way forward;'
Your vision starts to blur. The star begins to fade.
'So you may never lose your way again;'
Looks like it's time to return to reality.

Gf works for a week away and also has trip to see a friend for a long weekend so I am de facto dog sitter, house minder for about 10 days.
She calls me on the drive home from parking her car at her place of work (an hour away). She can’t stand to be alone with her own thoughts and without distraction so she will ALWAYS call when she’s driving and basically rant about her day or some BS that she has chosen to focus her anger on.
Basically asks if I’m hungry (the set up) I say yes, what is she thinking of having for breakfast, CFA? As she is driving home where there are multiple cfas on the way home I suggest she go get it and she says no I think you should go get it blah blah blah.
So basically her overall intent for the phone call was to get me to say I’m hungry, that I want food and yes I will go get it for her. I say no, I get angry because she always sets these obligation traps, she gets angry and hangs up on me. She gets in, barely says a word, mumbles something about being tired after I ask if she is not speaking to me and disappears to go pass out in the bedroom.
This is always how she operates- codependent activity offering that seems like a good gesture, demands, obligations, guilt tripping then anger. Then denial of shitty behaviogaslighting/distraction.
We have almost been together 5 years during which she has had some major traumatic shit happen and she is refusing any kind of psychiatric/therapeutic help besides adhd drugs. HELP

I use Starlink in a rural area and I downloaded an application to watch F1 (my TV antenna is broken at the moment) on a TV station here in Brazil but the application doesn't work because of a playback error (some kind of block) but on my cell phone when I use the mobile networks it works normally, only on Starlink it's blocked... is there any way around this?
