Rowe price 401k

PortfolioAllocation

2021.01.29 03:31 TonyLiberty PortfolioAllocation

I will be discussing stock, ETF and 401k allocations. This will be based on a consensus of market outlooks & allocations from research papers from Wall St's biggest banks and investment firms (Amundi, Bank of America, Blackrock, Franklin Templeton, HSBC, JP Morgan, Merrill, PIMCO, T. ROWE, TD, SAGE, SUNTRUST, etc.). Feel free to pull the literature from their respective websites, but I've complied their data, and weighted each asset class to generate alpha.

2024.05.22 05:01 RealSabotage The struggle is real.

Hello everybody, I’ve just recently joined this thread.
I’m 24. I am a very trying dad struggling to make it work. I just recently started a new career at the end of 2023. I try my best to budget my household but with myself, my fiancé, a 5 year old and a 5 month old to provide for my life is continually getting more and more expensive. We currently live on my $60,000 salary. I bring home about $2,000 bi weekly. I’m currently not paying into my 401k although I plan to when I get a raise.
I Owe: $10,500 to the IRS for back taxes(long story) —— $800 Rent $620 Car Payment (26,300 left) $250 Car Insurance $220 Phone Bill $190 Electric $150 Credit Card Payment Minimum $45 WiFi $75 Life Insurance (150k payout) $65 WateTrash $50 Amazon/Enertainment Apps $20 Dog Food $120 Gas $750-1000 Food $300 Misc $200 Savings $100 Investing
=$4200 if we’re less conservative with our food spending. (This has been a big burden since Covid put us down and then the prices have soared since)
I do my best to pick up odd and ends jobs here and there or often selling stuff we own or waiting a couple days to buy a real meal while prioritizing providing for our kids.
My hope is to get decent raises in the coming years as my new position should provide that and then to start hacking away at debt to then start a savings and Roth 401K.
What can or should I do to better my situation.

2024.05.22 04:23 CrownRoyalForever Honda Crossroad

Anyone have experience with the 2nd gen Honda Crossroad (2007-10)? Seems like a decent compact SUV with 3rd row, fuel efficient and reliable. Also is half the price of similar era CR-V.

2024.05.22 03:30 Professional-Let-428 Selling calls against my 401k

I have $118k in a 401k that is solely SPY… could I sell calls at a strike price such that it would cover my 10% penalty and I really wouldn’t lose anything besides cashing out the 401k? They would call my shares away at say a 12% upside? Poke holes in this please

2024.05.22 03:27 Tribeofredheads Seasons Rant: it’s like they don’t want me to spend money

I’m beyond annoyed that they’ve decided to introduce a new dragon for the 3rd seasons in a row, or maybe it’s been more?
They have about a half dozen arcadia dragons that can only be gotten from buying the seasons pass, as far as I can tell. I generally hate to pay but I finally decided I’d buy the pass when the featured dragon was an Arcadia dragon. Even if you’re willing to pay, they now have so many new seasons dragons it’s literally months before another Arcadia dragon might be featured.
I really do get it… there are players who regularly pay for seasons or the monthly pass or whatever, and are tired of being offered the autumn dragon for the bezillionth time. It’s a fine line between offering new content and still finding a way to offer the old content to newer players.
So, how about this game dev: offer a pick your own dragon seasons bundle… pay a small premium to choose from whatever retired seasons dragons there might be, instead of the current season brand new dragon. Make it the same rewards as the regular bundle and price it a few dollars extra… a few! You’d have the regular bundle with the newer dragons, the premium with the extra eggs/trees or whatever it is, and a pick your own where you can choose from the older seasons dragons. Give a choice of maybe 3 if you don’t want to offer every season dragon. But right now, it feels like they’ve essentially “retired” the older seasons dragons. It’s bad enough that some of the Arcadia dragons are only available for a cost, but they should be available more than once a year or so. Either move them into the free/gem payable content somehow, like being able to get prism eggs in the pink chests, or offer another solution. I‘m not interested in the stingrays, ladybugs, trinkets or whatever. Give me the maple moth Or the wild gryphon!
END RANT.
PS If the maple moth, fall, forbidden and wild gryphon etc actually are available anywhere other than seasons, let me know!

2024.05.22 03:27 blueroseintown Buying a radiator that isn’t junk

Gday folks,
I have a 1989 RN85 Toyota Hilux, 2.4l 22R engine. I need to replace the radiator and would like to have a crack at doing it myself. I’m looking around online and confused by scale of pricing, material and amount of rows. Don’t want something that’s just going to crap out after not too long. Would something like this be good or is it too cheap?

2024.05.22 03:07 Ok-Breakfast-3536 Should I stay and pay down principal instead of trying to sell?

Tldr: bought a house with my partner in late 2022. We broke up in early 2024 (this was wildly unexpected). I’m trying to sell but I’m underwater. The house has been on the market for nearly 90 days, with questionable strategy from my agent including small price reductions. Do I take the listing down and commit to paying off my soft second DPA to reduce my overall principal and more likely break even in a year?
I’ve posted here before with more detail, but my partner and I are both on loans and a deed for a home we’ve owned for ~20 months. He’s paid nothing from closing to mortgage to maintenance; we’re on good terms and I’ll continue to function as if he isn’t involved — this is not a concern.
My ideal plan is to sell, live with my folks for a while to pay off debt and then relocate to rent. BUT my house has been on the market for nearly 90 days without an offer, and listen — I already know the price is the problem. Original comps in February ranged $235k-$260k IIRC, but I’m fairly sure prices have fallen in my market.
February 26 – listed at $255k
April 13 – $252k
April 25 – $247k with $3k concession
May 16 – $240k
I have a silent second through the Chenoa fund, so my combined principals are ~$228k, $218k+$10k. If I’m estimating 10% in seller’s fees on $240k, I’m looking at about $12k difference that I’ll need to cover. I have $13k saved, and save about $1k a month.
Option 1: I’m fine with wiping out my savings to sell, but considering costs from inspection discoveries or an offer below $240k – I’m starting to think I’d have to take a personal loan (or 401k loan) to realistically sell.
Option 2: I can comfortably continue to pay the mortgage. I can use my $13k in savings to pay off all personal debt, freeing up an additional $800 a month. Then I can take $1,000 of my monthly savings ($1.8k), apply it to the silent second and do minor updates over a year. Relist in a year when I’ve paid off the second mortgage and have a better position to negotiate sale price. (Minor updates would include new flooring, interior painting, light fixtures, maybe exterior paint)
I’m leaning 30/70 between Option 1/Option 2. Option 2 is the smarter choice, of course. I just dread the idea of being back in that house or back in that town for another year. I want Option 1 to work desperately, but I think I’m just accepting now that it won’t.
Do I make the smart choice, give it maybe 2 more weeks then pull the listing? Any angles I’m not considering?
Edit to add: if sold, I could save $3.2k a month and pay off all debt in 4-5 months, then save about $4k a month

2024.05.22 02:45 Jebusfreek666 How to easily track fund performance in 401K?

I am hoping someone can help me out with this. It seems like it should be a super easy thing to do, but I can't seem to figure it out. I am starting to think that I don't fully understand how the investment funds in my 401K work. I had assumed they were basically ETFs, and that if I googled the name of the fund I would be able to figure out what the stock ticker is for it. But every time I try to do it for any of the funds I have access to, the share price is different than what Voya says it should be. So that makes me think I am not looking at the right thing. One thing I did notice is that Voya refers to it as price per unit, not share. So maybe there is a conversion in there I am unaware of? Here is the break down, there are 4 funds I am currently investing in. All of them have a unit price listed as of 5/20/24. I will list them below. If anyone has any idea what the ticker is for any of these, or another easy way I can monitor them I would really appreciate it. I am trying to avoid using the Voya app unless I need to make changes because the thing is a hot mess.
Ideally, I would like to be able to just add the tickers for the above (if they exist) to a watchlist on my TOS account so I can just see how things are going at a glance. Any help or other suggestions would be appreciated.

2024.05.22 00:47 ticklemypicklesir In this situation how much would you take out of investments for a down payment?

Fiancé (24F) and I (26M) are looking to purchase a home at the end of this year. We live in a low cost to live area and have a household income of $132,000.
Here’s what we have saved up, based on these numbers how much would you take out for a down payment? (House target price range is $250k-320k)
We pay about $350 of student loan debt a month and $450 in car payments. The current plan is to take the full amount from both the HYSA and non retirement brokerage account and then another $10,000 from Bitcoin. That would give us around $31,000 for the down payment without touching the emergency savings, IRA, or 401k. Would you recommend taking out more for the down payment to get closer to 20% of keeping the extra money where it is to let it grow and eat the PMI for now?

2024.05.21 23:26 z1nonly0542 Help choosing a prebuilt board (Piantor, Chocofi, Elora)

Hey everyone,
I've been lurking here for a while, waiting and looking at all of the options before I pick up my first ergo board. I'm currently stuck between the Elora, Piantor Pro, and Chocofi. I'm hoping this post helps me pick one.
For context, my journey so far has been as follows:
Now I'm a bit stuck here, trying to pick between the three boards. I've never used a split ergo keyboard, so I have no idea what I like or what to expect.
The first decision to make is wired or wireless.
I like wired for its reliability and lower latency than wireless. I plan on using the board for gaming occasionally, so the low latency is better for that.
However, I often move between my desktop PC and MacBook, and I'd ideally like to be able to use the board on both computers. Wireless would make it a lot easier to a) carry the boards around and b) switch quickly between my PC and MacBook.
Wireless also increases cost and decreases my choices of boards, so I'm leaning more towards wired, even if I have to plug things in to use my board on my laptop when I'm out.
Assuming I go wired, the options I've been looking at are:
Elora:
Piantor Pro:
Chocofi:
I'd love some insight or suggestions for choosing between wired/wireless and between the three board options (or another one, if you have one). If you need any more information, I'd be happy to provide it. Thanks!

2024.05.21 23:20 imvantheman Need Help Choosing a 75% Keyboard, and maybe some advice.

TLDR; Corsair K65 Plus or Keychron Q1 pro? (or something else that is 75% and has a knob?) - Glorious GMMK Pro? - is it worth it to wait for the Wooting 80HE?
Hi there, I’ll try to keep it short but informative.. (sorry for formatting, on mobile)
I am looking to buy a new keyboard, I currently have the Corsair K100, but it’s quite large and I’m looking for something a little smaller. I’ve settled on 75% and I really like the ones with the knob.
Needs: - 75% (or arrow keys and an F row) - Knob - Hot swappable (I’m indecisive) - Gaming latency
Wants: - Metal frame - All black keycaps that have light passthrough for the letters or readily available keycaps that aren’t ugly gray - LED software (I use white most of the time but I occasionally change it and I want specific colors)
Pros and cons:
Q1: Pros: - Metal Frame - More programmable knob (I won’t use it for anything but volume lol) - special edition on their website has all black keycaps - nicer looking keycaps in shape as well - no logos
Cons: - new software (I have Corsair already and some Corsair parts in my pc so I won’t be getting rid of iCue any time soon) - price ($200)
K65+: Pros: - I can buy it in a store today - don’t need new software - price ($130) - I like it ever so slightly better in sound tests, but that isn’t a huge priority.
Cons: - plastic frame - ugly keycaps - plastic - plastic - ugly keycaps
I have also looked at the GMMK Pro from glorious, but I’ve heard terrible things about Glorious latency. If there’s any insight any of you can give I would appreciate it because I do really like that keyboard.
And one final detail, is it perhaps worth it to wait for the Wooting 80HE?? The analog switches and 8k polling rate basically cancel out everything else for me.

2024.05.21 23:20 mau804 What should I do with my growing savings?

I’m 27 years old and have been working at the same company since I graduated from college 5 years ago. I’m lucky enough to have paid off all of my student debt and do not have any other debt whatsoever. Over the years I’ve been able to save about $60,000, which doesn’t include the 401k and Roth IRA, both of which I max out up to my employer match and yearly limit. I would like to own a home someday, but the area I live in has an average home price of over $400,000 and I don’t feel comfortable taking on that large of a mortgage at this time. I currently have all of my savings in a high yield savings account but I feel like I could be doing more with it. I am curious about investing but don’t really know where to start and don’t want to get in over my head. What should I do with my additional saving?

Hi everybody, I've got 2 tickets for tomorrows Sunderland concert, they're in the P20 section, row 15. We won't be able to make it so I'm trying to get rid of them. Ideally would want to get the money I paid for them (166 quid for both), but I am willing to take the price down a little. Thanks

2024.05.21 21:58 Accomplished_Low148 Why targeting Askarov makes more sense than Saros (assuming Marner gets traded for one of them)

1) The contract situation: If we get Saros we're most likely signing him to an extension. I can't see the Leafs trading him at the deadline nor can I see them just letting him walk at the end of the year for nothing. This likely means we're looking at a contract between 6-8 years north of 8 million. This is problematic for a number of reasons:
a) Goalies tend not to age very well. Even generational/hall of fame goalies such as Brodeur, Price and Lundqvist to name a few have trouble playing past 35 whilst being elite and living up to their contract. Signing Saros to a long term contract would mean we're primarily paying him when he's past his prime. This is a big concern.
b) We've been developing Woll for 8 years, and signing Saros to a fat extension pretty much means we've relegated Woll as a secondary option or a trade piece. For someone whose shown so much potential and come up big in key moments, this just doesn't make a lot of sense. Granted, Wolls injury concerns are totally valid but it still doesn't mean we have to give up on him as a Starter entirely.
2) Saros' track record: There's no denying that Saros is a high end goalie, but I think he's being slightly overrated. He's started more than 40 games 3 times in his career, 2 of which were very respectable (but not other worldly) and this past season which was below average. This is in conjunction with a playoff record where he's been below average: -1.2 GSAA and of his 16 playoff starts only half of them have been qualified as a quality start. Playing Goalie in Toronto is extremely challenging and so far in his career Saros just hasn't shown he can carry a team in the playoffs.
3) The benefits of getting Askarov: I've seen people say Nashville would never trade Askarov but they were shopping him last year, and they're looking for a high end forward, so I think it's very realistic they trade him. There would be a lot of benefits if we traded for him instead of Saros:
a) He's on an entry level contract for the next few years which means we'll have 30M this offseason to reshape the team. That would allow us to sign 2 top 4 RD and a 2C like Lindholm and still have 10M to play with to fill out the rest of the team.
b) You can let him and Woll share the net and see who emerges as the true starter. Woll has shown he can make huge saves and play in big moments so having him go 50/50 with Askarov in the regular season and then take the net in the playoffs would be a great short term plan while Askarov gets more experience.
c) If Askarov flourishes and wants a bigger role we own his RFA rights so there's a lot more flexibility in terms of what we can do with him. With Saros, we'd be signing him long term, relegating Woll to a backup and hoping Saros works out. With Askarov, if he outgrows his role we have a good problem with two capable goalies and can flip one for other assets. The flexibility here can't be understated.
4) You dont need a bonafide top 5 goalie to win the cup: This isn't to say having one is bad, just that it's not necessary. With Goaltending, its about getting hot at the right time. Vegas won the cup recently with what was originally a 3rd stringer. Binnington came out of nowhere and carried the Blues in '19, likewise with Matt Murray in 16/17 for the Pens. In his short time here Woll has shown a tendency to just come up huge and make big saves. I remember there was a point this year where he'd stopped like 18-20 shots in a row in 3v3 over multiple games which is impressive when you consider those are all essentially high danger chances. Take that in conjunction with how he played in the playoffs and you can see my point about how you just need someone to make big saves and get hot at the right time, Woll can do that.
Having Askarov and Woll as a tandem would allow for a cheap, flexible option in goal that allows us to spend on other parts of our roster. We don't need either of them to be Vezina winners to have success, just to make key saves and not let a shitty soft goal in. The amount of cap room we would have by taking on Askarov and dumping Marner would allow us to fill every hole we've been talking about for years. We would also likely get other pieces back with Askarov which would help us out even more. If you get a player like Luke Evangelista you've suddenly replaced 45 of Marner's 95 points for 800k.
From Nashville's perspective, they're trying to win a cup and given they can add one of the best RW in the league without moving any contracts out, or removing a player from their roster that finished with nearly 100 points is exactly the kind of trade they'd make. They've wanted a high end forward for years and now they can finally get one, and they'd be trading from a position of strength to make it happen.
For Marner, he can go to one of the most beloved markets for players, get paid as much as he wants, have a low profile and still be on a competitive team.
