Arcade hacks bollon tower defence
The tight rushes made so many strats unplayable. That is one of the reasons the meta is so repetitive now.

A lot of tower combinations aren't necessarily able to counter tight rushes with cheap defence or even medium priced defence. Ninja kiwi tried to buff some towers against tight rushes in the most recent update that is about to drop very soon, but I think even with those changes and Etienne the new hero, the meta is going to be very similar to what we have right now.

2024.05.21 11:48 deepestfear PSA: Telstra 5G modem vs fixed wireless NBN
Hey all, long time lurker, first time poster. Hope you're all well.
I live in Melb, and have FTTP, and consistently get 950/40. It's not really necessary, but through a few hacks I am getting it for $89 per month via Aussie Broadband, and have done so for nine months now (basically, their $20 off for new customers + $20 off for upgrading speed, and when it ended, I threatened leaving, and they just caved and let me keep it for that speed).
I'm using a Deco mesh setup - their XE75s, three of them, two are hardwired, one wireless. I think because it's an apartment, the wireless one is able to reach the others on the 6Ghz band, and I think that makes a big difference, given the amount of interference on the 5Ghz band (we live in an apartment block). Now Wifi 7 is on the horizon.... exciting times. If only I could get my hands on a cheap set of Deco BE65s or so, just to test them out! But I know many areas aren't approved fully yet - for me, the most important being the tech that improves the range and speed of the 6Ghz band.
Anyway, the point of the post is that at my parent's house, in rural VIC, they only have fixed wireless. No matter which provider I tried - and despite installing a mesh Deco X75 system (5Ghz backhaul, without the 6E) - they would get 50/10, max. Anyway, then I found out about the whole "Telstra 5G modem thing". Basically, it is $80 a month, and if you are eligible, they send you a modem/router that has a 5G chip in it. Because we are fairly close to a Telstra tower, my parents signed up, and with the Deco units in access point mode, they are now getting consistently, including peak periods, 300/30 or so. Sometimes even 400/30 or more. The latency isn't bad, 5ms or so. I just did a speed test now, 555/31, during peak period.
So to anyone in rural areas - consider signing up for this plan, if you can. The only downsides I can see are: a) you are limited to 1000GB data per month (which is a lot, really, and if you go over it, your speed is decreased, you aren't charged more), and b) they limit the number of households per postcode who can sign up - otherwise it would become so slow and hence pointless. $80 a month is reasonable, too, my parents weren't paying much less than that for their fixed wireless plans.
Apparently the NBN people are "upgrading" the fixed wireless near their home late this year, who knows what that means, maybe a tower closer to their home, which may improve the fixed wireless speeds and latency. There are just too many homes, trees, obstacles between their house and the tower, along with the sheer distance (around 6km).
So yeah, it was just as a PSA. If anyone can think of any downsides, please comment, I'm not an IT guru, I'm just impressed that we can get these speeds. The Deco units are doing an excellent job, given only one is hardwired (into the WAN of the Telstra modem/router, they're entirely relying on a wireless backhaul in a five-bedroom, old home, with many walls between the units (about eight walls between the originating node and the furthest node). Connecting to the furthest node gives speeds around 300/25 or so, on average.

2024.05.21 10:16 Wide_Menu_6981 Navigating the Digital World: A Guide to Ethical Hacking Careers
| In the rapidly growing field of cybersecurity, ethical hacking has emerged as an important role in digital assets and privacy. Ethical hackers, also known as white-hat hackers, are cybersecurity experts who use their skills to identify vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications to help organizations strengthen their cyber defences against malicious attacks. If you’re looking for how to become a cybercrime warrior and want to explore a career in ethical hacking, this guide is for you. https://preview.redd.it/g9c9eakpmq1d1.jpg?width=3334&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3c50fddcc2472eff469f1ced4739c7ee0f2d3b23 Understanding Ethical Hacking First things first, what exactly is ethical hacking? Ethical hacking involves legally breaking into systems and networks to discover vulnerabilities before malicious hackers can exploit them. Ethical hackers use the same techniques and tools as their malicious counterparts but with permission from the system owners. Their primary goal is to discover weaknesses in security measures and provide recommendations for enhancing protection. Skills Required for an Ethical Hacker Here are some key skills required for a career in ethical hacking - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C/C++, or Ruby.
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies.
- Familiarity with operating systems like Linux, Windows, and macOS.
- Understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as encryption, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify and exploit vulnerabilities effectively.
Education and Training: While there’s no strict educational path to becoming an ethical hacker, a background in computer science, information technology, or cybersecurity can provide a solid foundation. Many professionals in this field pursue certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), or CompTIA Security+ to validate their skills and enhance their credentials. Hands-on experience is crucial for aspiring ethical hackers. Consider participating in capture-the-flag (CTF) competitions, bug bounty programs, or building your own lab environment to practice various hacking techniques in a controlled setting. Here at Asquare Technologies, we are providing these kinds of training which include hands-on labs. Career Opportunities: Ethical hackers are in high demand across various industries, including finance, healthcare, government, and technology. As cyber threats continue to escalate, organizations are willing to invest in cybersecurity professionals who can proactively defend their assets against attacks. Potential career paths for ethical hackers include: - Penetration Tester: Conduct security assessments and penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities in systems and networks.
- Security Consultant: Advise organizations on security best practices, risk mitigation strategies, and compliance requirements.
- Incident Responder: Investigate security incidents, contain breaches, and implement remediation measures to restore systems.
- Security Analyst: Monitor network traffic, analyze security logs, and respond to security incidents in real time.
- Security Researcher: Explore new attack vectors, develop proof-of-concept exploits, and contribute to the cybersecurity community through vulnerability disclosures.
Asquare Technologies Ethical Hacking Course : Duration 5 months(4 months classes and 1 month internship) Covering Topics - Networking (Basics to Advanced)
- Linux
- Ethical Hacking (wifi hacking, mobile hacking, Malware Analysis, web application hacking,)

2024.05.21 07:22 TheMetalGodX Round Two Of Crashing, Please Help!
I am making a new updated post with an mysterious issue with my Load Order. I am either missing something or something is cooperating. I could use a couple extra sets of eyes to see if I have missed anything. I am trying to build a working load order for the next gen update. Currently I have removed some mods and patched some that were made aware to me to be trouble some. Yet here I am again and this time I timed the crash intervals. Its crashing exactly between 6-8 minutes. Also while walking through sanctuary I noticed trees in the background flickering in and out. This tells me somethings not working as intended.
My PC Specs are as follows:
AMD Ryzen 9 5950X at 5.6ghz
64Gb DDR4 Ram at 3600mhz
Nvidia RTX 4080 at stock settings
Samsung 970 Evo M.2 SSD
Neither my cpu or gpu hit 50% load and I'm wondering if there is a way to let the game use more cpu and gpu, if that'll help.
I have only made it to Sanctuary each time I test this and yes I create a new game each time until I get this narrowed down. I also am not sure if Bethini works properly as every time I run it I have to redo all the settings each time.
Here is my newly updated load order:

2024.05.21 07:19 TheMetalGodX [FO4]Round Two Of Crashing, Please Help!
Alright so besides the funny title, I am making a new updated post with an mysterious issue with my Load Order.

2024.05.21 05:57 YaBoiNootNoot More Military stuff in the future?
Playing Tropico 5 many years ago made me wish that Tropico 6 was better in terms of military, which it is (so many ways to increase squad efficiency and stats, thanks weapons factory) but also, simultaneously feels like it's missing a lot.
First of all, I know that Tropico isn't supposed to be a war RTS. It's a dictator simulator. We don't want to be building bases to order troops to attack things and have that be the sole focus, yeah I get it. But also, Tropico isn't meant to be a glorified city builder like it has been in 5 and 6.
Tropico needs a good balance of features while also not trying to seem like it has depth when all the features are shallow and lack detail. Upon saying that, we don't want a game that's so tedious and complicated with so much stuff. But that's another issue entirely.
For me, it just feels like the military in Tropico is too niche, because if you play properly: without pissing off superpowers and keeping liberty high enough, they would be next to useless.
I just want more military functions, features and content. Hopefully, naively, in a T6 DLC, but more realistically, in T7. Here's a (not at all) small list:
--- Air Power.
The aircraft carrier spoils me, because it makes me wish there were actual military air bases or airfields where warplanes and helicopters could take off from in order to fight against rebels, guerillas and invaders.
--- Naval Power.
Not full US Navy spam, but just a way to expand Tropico's variety. Naval bases to send patrol boats and corvettes out, maybe? A placeable destroyer, frigate and/or cruiser that fires artillery rounds or missiles at enemy squads? A return of the Nuclear Submarine as well? Also could have these deter foreign powers from sending those attack waves.
--- Ground Troops.
Tank Squads only having one tank is weird, as well as Army Bases taking up so much room but only having two job slots. Make them bigger with more tanks per building. Mechanised from T5 could return, complete with APCs/IFVs that would bridge the gap between Tanks and Infantry. Towed and/or mobile artillery to fight enemy squads from afar, maybe. Anti-aircraft or anti-ship squads/buildings to fight enemy variants of those mentioned above? I think that would be too far into RTS, though. Special Operations troops would be nice, like in T5 with the Rangers, Commandos and Defence HQ squads, just more plentiful.
--- Defences.
More tower types, redoubts, fortresses, bunkers. A modern times or cold war evolution of the Fort for Man the Ramparts, at the very least. Maybe walls or fences that would block access to pedestrians and enemy squads so you can manipulate their movement?
--- Building function revamp.
Have barracks and bases be as independent as possible. Have soldiers either live on the premises or code in to have them live and seek amenities as close as possible if available.A way to upgrade them with their own Faith, Fun, Food and Liberty providers, like the Utilities upgrade for Forts. Maybe Bases could be modular complexes like the spaceport, add on extra barracks, tank, APC or air buildings in the same complex? Or amenities buildings? Something like Cities: Skylines II does with its building add ons.
--- Soldier behaviour revamp.
Make squads instantly spawn when someone is attacking. For rebels or guerillas, have only buildings in the vicinity of the target or the enemy spawn. For foreign attack, have all buildings spawn. Also, make soldiers at least a little immune to negative liberty modifiers since they WORK FOR ONE.
In conclusion, Many would dislike this suggestion, as they would find this overcomplicating a feature of the funny dictator game. But it hurts from my perspective to see other features overcomplicated and others just ignored and left to rot in the shadow of more exciting things.

2024.05.21 04:31 kmrbtravel For those asking 'Please make me an itinerary' / 'hidden gems?' / 'what should my budget be?'
One of the hardest questions to answer on this subreddit is when people ask what their
itinerary should be, followed by questions on what an appropriate
budget would be, and then suggestions on
hidden gems. The TL;DR is that all three questions need more details if you want them to be answered. "But kmrbtravel!" you say, "I need an itinerary if I want a budget, and a budget if I want to make an itinerary! It's all so overwhelming, and I don't know where to start! Oh but I also want to find places that have little to no tourists and are your secret hidden gems, just for that variety!"
I'm hoping this post will be a good starting point for the people above but also to let people know that for the vast majority of us, the 'basic' things recommended on Google and YouTube will be perfect! Travelling Japan is fun because there are
so many things to be distracted by, and you will be spending a lot of your time wandering and trying things out, even without a detailed itinerary.
About Me
I write this spiel every time, but I'm a 25F solo traveller with friends I stay with in Japan. Played a Japanese martial art for years, and I visit Japan 3-4x every year (usually 1-2 weeks in April, 1 week in September, 1-2 weeks in late Oct/early Nov, and 1 month in December).
I'm currently on a mission to visit all 47 prefectures across Japan, and I'm at 9 right now (Kyoto, Osaka, Tokyo, Shimane, Mie, Hiroshima, Okayama, Hyogo, and most recently Nagoya). You can read about
my biggest and craziest trip here (especially if you're looking for suggestions outside of Tokyo/Kyoto/Osaka!)
I speak and understand very basic and noob Japanese. Enough for me to get around, barely enough for me to talk to random obaasans in the onsen who are curious about my travels. I can read hiragana/katakana, and kanji still eludes me (but we'll get there!)
One thing to note about me is that
I'm mostly temple/shrine oriented when I travel Japan, so I personally cannot answer questions regarding things like museums/amusement parks/etc.
What Makes Planning a Japan Trip So Hard? (And why is it harder for us to answer your questions?)
Out of any other country that I've visited, I genuinely believe that
Japan has the most variety in terms of what you can do and see and can cater
wildly to different kinds of people, which sometimes makes it
very difficult for us to give you detailed answers. While we all have the same goal of 'exploring Japan,' I personally want to give the best answers possible. I will have different suggestions (and routes!) depending on if you can walk 30,000 steps/day, if you have young kids, if you like anime, if you like martial arts, if you like nature and hiking, if you like shrines/temples, if you don't mind crowds, if you want to just do what everyone else is doing, if you want to do more traditional things, etc. etc. This is why general questions on 'what should my itinerary be' can never fully be answered. We are not mind readers, but we're happy to help with more information.
'They all sound good to me though, and that's why I can't choose!'
Unfortunately, the reality is that you will
have to choose by some point. Japan is so much fun because there is an endless amount of things to do, and you have to pick what sounds the most entertaining to
you. After 9 prefectures and multiple visits to Japan, I have very,
very little things that I personally didn't enjoy. We do not know who you are, and we do not know your preferences. You need to either pick for us, or give us that guidance so we can suggest appropriate itineraries for you.
In harsher terms, for the vast majority of us, an
AI-made itinerary, or suggestions from Google or YouTube will satisfy your trip. What us humans can do on Reddit, is to give you
specific suggestions, but we cannot give specific suggestions if you do not provide us with (somewhat) specific questions.
1. The Budget Question
I have travelled Japan with less than ¥2000/day, and have travelled with more than ¥20,000/day. The great thing about Japan is that
you have the option to do both. Are you broke after plane tickets + hotels? No worries, there are tons of free sightseeing options and you can konbini or street food breakfast/lunch/dinner for very little. Do you want to splurge because this is your 'once-in-a-lifetime-trip?' Don't worry! There are tons of ways for you to sink your money in.
But to be more helpful, I'll break it down just a bit further. After hotels/planes,
these are the biggest money sinks: - Transportation: while transit isn't groundbreakingly expensive, if you're moving a lot and jumping around stations, it can add up. I usually charge around ¥10,000-20,000 per trip (for day-to-day transportation)
- The big bank-breaking transportation though is of course, the Shinkansen. If you are moving between cities via the bullet train, you need to keep this in mind and weave it into your budget.
- Other options include:
- Night bus: pros (usually cheap), cons (you basically waste a day because you're EXHAUSTED the next day)
- Local subway lines: pros (faster than the bus), cons (do not come on with big luggage and there is a very real chance you may have to stand 3+ hours if it's a busy line—which happened to me in Hiroshima)
- Day bus: pros (cheap and you don't have to force yourself to sleep), cons (you literally waste a day travelling to get to your location)
- Food: while I'm personally not a fan of Japanese food myself, I still find all sorts of ways to open my wallet with cool cafes, street food, AYCE BBQ, and just general meals.
- I've found most meals cost between ¥500-2500, though you can do cheaper with konbini-only or street stall foods. Japan is great because even their cheapest options tend to be pretty high quality.
- Tickets/experiences: renting kimonos, Ghibli museums or parks, TeamLabs, amusement parks, Shibuya Sky/Tokyo ToweSkyTree, (some) temples/shrines, gardens, castles, etc. all cost money. We have no idea what you want to do, so you'd need to provide this sort of information for us.
- Ryokans: I know I said 'excluding hotels,' but if you want a traditional ryokan experience, these tend to be much costlier than most other cheap hotel options. I personally still travel like a broke university student and rarely pay over ¥5000/night for a hotel, unless it's peak travel season, so a ryokan is out of my budget. But if you want to experience one, put it in your estimate!
- Souvenirs: if you're bad with money like me, you will be purchasing a lot of souvenirs. As a Canadian, I cannot fathom what on earth people would even want from Canada minus a bucket of maple syrup, but there are tons of options in Japan, all of which adds up quite quickly.
- Goshuin: I am writing a massive post on goshuin/goshuincho, but Himekat has some great guides if you're not sure what they are.
- Snacks: great, cheap gifts to get for friends and family. You're lying to yourself if you say you're not going to blitz through a Donki (Don Quijote—a chain of budget/discount stores across Japan that has everything you can possible want) for souvenirs. (It is a scarring but necessary experience for all those visiting Japan).
- Omamori/omikuji/ema: omamori are those charms (I'm personally wearing a beaaaautiful one from Asagaya Shinmeigu) that are sold at temples and shrines, omikuji are the luck/fortune draws, and ema are those wooden tablets where you can write down a wish. I personally always write one at Meiji Jingu (Tokyo) and Itsukushima Jinja (Hiroshima)!
- I've personally never shopped at Uniqlo, but I heard it's cheaper in Japan(?). Stationery fans will also be headed towards Loft and Tokyu Hands, I'm sure.
- Arcades: In North America, arcades are those money-wasting things you take your kids to every once in a while and a sure way to lose $1-2 each time. In Japan, arcades are everywhere and you can actually win prizes (a lot of them!) I usually average around ¥2000-4000 per prize. I know some people are totally turned off by anime and don't want any figures or prizes of the sort, but many of us will find ourselves plastered between a cute plushie and the windows inside of a blinding GIGO. Plan some wiggle room, because I find this to usually be an unexpected money sink!
- Gacha: you will be spending money on some gacha machines. You've been warned.
I'm probably forgetting things (and will update as I remember them), but Japan is REALLY good at chipping away at your wallet little bits at a time. It's not like Europe or North America where your cost is just expensive food + an expensive experience. Japan is a lot of
cheap, little things that adds up quickly. Some prices are baked in/unchanging (e.g. TeamLabs tickets or Shinkansen tickets), but many of those 'smaller things that adds up' can be quite random. I always add up my expected costs, subtract it from my total budget, and divide the remainder with the days I will be in Japan for.
- E.g.: 10 day trip to Japan, total budget left: $1000 CAD (after Shinkansen, plane, hotel, Ghibli museum, USJ, SkyTree, etc.) = $100 CAD/day. I also give myself a $200 'emergency shopping fund' for something I REALLY want that's outside of my budget.
2. The Itinerary Question
There are tons of great itineraries on YouTube and Google and I promise you, most of them are good enough for you to just copy/paste and experience. Use us for
specific questions you may have in regards to them (e.g. I'm planning on going to xyz on abc dates, is there anything to keep in mind?) (and then we can inform you of any closures, tips, tricks, etc.).
As someone who travels a lot, I want to point out that
hotspots are hot for a reason and the ones in Japan are all worth going to unless you can somehow tell it's not going to be your thing (and that's ok!) or you have a serious aversion to crowds.
How one makes an itinerary is always varied, but as someone who's good at going with the flow when travelling (and often plans very last minute), this is how I usually rumble:
0. BRING AN EMPTY SUITCASE: I usually have a slightly smaller suitcase inside of my big suitcase, and the smaller suitcase has all of my clothes + shoes. If you do this,
please cover or cushion the wheels of your smaller suitcase inside. I have no idea what happens in the cargo, but I've smashed the wheels of two small suitcases (even though they were fine when they're not inside the larger suitcase). I usually just put some shoes/scarves/dark hoodies for cushioning.
- 1. Pin your itinerary on Google Maps or My Maps: this is my #1 tip for all travellers!
- This allows you to visualize which areas you will be staying at the most. It allows for you to group your days based on distance (excluding ticket-oriented events with specific dates), find a suitable place for accommodation, and allows you to estimate the distance for your travels.
- Google Maps: sign into your account, go to Google Maps, and click on the location of your itinerary → Save → New List (if you want) → make a list for your trip! The points will be visible next time you open a map.
- My Maps: I use this more for archival purposes, but can be useful too :)
- 2. Pick a hotel: your home base. I prefer accommodations that are close to a station. While I never go back to the hotel to drop things off/refresh, I've found that I really didn't enjoy walking the 10-15 minutes back 'home' after 20-30k steps. On the flip side, there are genuinely really nice and more affordable hotels if you don't mind walking that distance.
- Architecturally, Japan's buildings tend to be much smaller (narrower) compared to North American structures. For Tokyo especially, many budget hotels have very little floor space, which can make opening your luggage and packing really difficult. I've found hotels near popular stations to be smaller and more expensive, but convenient. Hotels some 10-15 minute walk away (which may not sound like much, but I promise you will feel after travelling Japan) tend to be slightly larger and slightly cheaper, but I've also been to a few that did not have any konbinis nearby (a very first world problem, but I live and breathe konbinis)
- Outside of Tokyo though (even in Osaka/Kyoto), I've had less issues with hotel floor sizes.
- You should also choose a place that is close to your itinerar(ies), if possible. This is more a 'winter travel tip' than a spring/summer one, but when daylight is tight and you want to get as many things done with limited sunlight, you do not want to waste daylight commuting if you can help it. Obviously some limitations.
My itinerary recommendations
are nothing special as I literally pick things off Google. But hotspots are hot for a reason, and these were some of my favourites for Tokyo and Kyoto! - Tokyo:
- Nippon Budokan (for my martial arts fans!), Akihabara (for my weebs!)
- I usually lap Meiji Jingu, Takeshita-dori, Yoyogi Park, and sometimes Omotesando (for shopping) togetheon the same day as they are all right next to each other! Going from the bustling streets of Harajuku/Takeshitadori to the peaceful forest of Meiji Jingu will always give me whiplash.
- Shibuya, Shibuya Sky, Shibuya 109, Hachiko Statue, I personally didn't find Shibuya Crossing too special but whatever, along with the Nintendo Store + Pokemon Centre + Jump Store + Capcom Store. There's also Loft/Tokyo Hands for my stationery fanatics. Shibuya is massive and can take more than a day to explore if you really enjoy shopping.
- I also usually walk from Sensoji to SkyTree, but your feet may hate you. You'll also be able to pass by the Asahi Beer Hall (affectionately called 'The Golden Poo' by my Japanese friends).
- TeamLab Planets was probably the one non-sightseeing touristy thing I did, and I loved it!
- Ikebukuro: I personally don't think you need to go out of your way for Ikebukuro but if you develop a gambling addiction from the gacha machines there, Sunshine City has the most gacha capsule machines in the world! (They also have tons of other stores like a Mugiwara Store, Crayon Shin-Chan, Pokemon stores, etc.)
- Kyoto:
- MY HOME BASE (as it is where my best friend lives) and also my favourite city as I am a shrine enthusiast!
- Fushimi Inari: I climb this place every trip to Japan without fail. There is nothing view-worthy at the top so feel free to turn around at the viewpoint/halfway point! If you hate yourself like me, you can reach the top and pray for safe passages :)
- This is my biggest pet peeve: PLEASE DO NOT BLOCK THE PATH TO TAKE PICTURES. I PROMISE you, it looks exactly the same at the bottom as it does in the middle and the top. Unless you have some sort of physical ailment that only lets you explore the bottom, PLEASE KEEP MOVING AND STOP BLOCKING THE PATH.
- Kiyomizudera: along with Ninnenzaka and Sannenzaka is always busy and chaotic, but I still very much enjoy it and you'll definitely get the feeling of 'wow, I'm in a really traditional part of Japan!'
- Two suggestions that I don't see as much love as Kiyomizudera, but is still close is Yasaka Jinja and Chionin. I personally think Yasaka Jinja looks stunning at night with all its lanterns. At Chionin, everything looks sarcastically large (the gate, the steps, the temple) but I still really love it!
- Kinkakuji: I will never understand why people say it's not that great when I've seen it 3+ times and I still think the gold looks incredible. Where else are you going to see a fully gold temple?! Sure it's a little out of the way, but I still think it's worth it. The gold is beautiful on a clear blue day. I know there's 'not much else to do and the loop is short' but the gold is still amazing to me (more below)
- Ginkakuji: a really peaceful, beautifully designed pavilion. It was actually my first time visiting in my last trip and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The path leading up feels like a mini-sannenzaka, with smaller stores and eateries.
- Arashiyama: one of my favourite places of all time in Kyoto although I do not recommend the bamboo forest and it is ironically my least favourite part of Arashiyama. Instead, I recommend:
- Kyoto Arashiyama Orgel Museum: cute music boxes, I personally have one of Yonezu Kenshi's Lemon!
- Nisonin Temple and Seiryoji: you may not appreciate it as much as I do if you don't love temples, but if you're not a fan of crowds I find these two way less busy (but also much more walking to get to). If you visit Seiryoji, there is a garden at the back of the temple (take the slippers and open the door). Nice cool breeze there always!
- Monkey Park: monkeys! A bit of a hike.
- Tenryuji: honestly not my favourite place in the world but people seem to like it
- I usually do not have food recommendations for Japan, BUT I personally believe Arashiyama has some of the best eats!
- Kinkakuji / Ryoanji / Ninnaji: okay I know I already mentioned Kinkakuji, but the complaint I hear the most is 'it's so far out of the way and there's nothing else there!' WRONG, if you want be stuffed full of awesome temples, I highly suggest the Kinkakuji → Ryoanji → Ninnaji route!
- Ryoanji: is famous for its stone garden. One of my favourite gardens to study architecturally and design-wise (search up why before you go, and test it out!)
- Ninnaji: definitely not visited as much by foreign tourists BUT I personally think it has one of the best indoor loops with long walkways and a gorgeous garden that it loops around. If I had a 'hidden gem' for foreign tourists, this would be the one I'm willing to share! (Also a 3 min bus ride from Ryoanji).
- One place I do NOT recommend minus sakura season is Philosopher's Walk. I passed through it multiple times until someone pointed out it's actually a popular tourist attraction (??) I would not go out of my way for this at all. It looks like any other road in Japan. I don't even know if I'd recommend it during sakura season because there are so many beautiful streets for them everywhere.
- Other places to check out are Kyoto Station (sick architecture), Tofukuji (especially during fall), Shijo-Kawaramachi (the downtown area of Kyoto), Shimogamo Jinja (another one of my 'hidden gems'—it's an extremely famous and popular shrine, but I rarely see foreign tourists for some reason), and Kitano Tenmangu (if you're a student—this is the studying god!)
3. The 'Hidden Gem' Question
If this is your first trip to Japan, you don't need hidden gems (unless they're food-specific). The major sightseeing attractions are popular for a reason and will be more than enough unless you're literally here for months.
Secondly, and more importantly, I've realized that 'hidden gems' are pretty personal to an individual's tastes. For example, I revealed a few of my hidden gem shrines and temples a few months ago, and immediately got immediately told that it's not actually very great. Well yeah, but that's why it was a hidden gem for
me, because
I loved it. We will not know what a 'hidden gem' means for you unless you specify the type. Are we looking for hidden gems that are about food? Temples? Specific anime references?
I can promise you that 99% of places worth going to are already spread across social media, and they're popular for good reasons. I personally don't think it's worth travelling far or trying spend so much time and effort looking for that 1%, especially on a first trip.
Lastly, I personally do not reveal my hidden gems unless I know you in person or it's a small business that may appreciate more support. While you may disagree, I think overtourism/overcrowding is pretty real in Japan right now, and I'm hesitant to put smaller places up on public platforms.
With that being said though, for
tourists who have already been to Japan and want 'hidden gems' beyond Tokyo/Kyoto/Osaka, I highly recommend the Kyushu/Chugoku region trip that I did back in January. I don't have specific itinerary 'hidden gems' but I definitely have 'hidden prefectures' that I loved (and even preferred) to Tokyo/Kyoto/Osaka! (They're not actually hidden, just less visited compared to the trifecta).
Full itinerary/trip report here. My itinerary for these prefectures are
nothing special and none of them are 'hidden gems' as they're literally the most popular attractions for each place. But a. I think this proves that the 'top search' on Google is perfectly fine (because that's what I did, and I had an amazing time), and b. the popular attractions are very much worth going to.
There is a
special promotion for foreign tourists that lets you take the bus to and from Shimane to Hiroshima for only 1000 yen, and the bus is only around 3 hrs from Izumo to Hiroshima! You can either start in Kyoto and move down, or start in Hiroshima and move up. I did all in 6 days which I do NOT recommend because I had to rush / clocked 30k+ steps in every day / thought I was going to die by the last day / was in a new prefecture every day.
- Kyoto → Osaka → Kobe → Himeji → Okayama → Izumo → Hiroshima
- Hiroshima → Izumo → Okayama → Himeji → Kobe → Osaka → Kyoto
Other prefectures nearby that are worth checking out are
Nara and
Mie. Thanks for reading!
If you made it to the end, thanks for reading and I hope this was helpful. I definitely don't know everything about Japan and tons of people have amazing tips (that I still learn from every day). This was hopefully to help address some of the more common issues / repeated questions that people had. The
TLDR is really just that we need specifics on who YOU are for us to answer your questions better, especially if you're looking for 'hidden gems' that are specific to your interests.
Have an amazing trip, everyone!

2024.05.21 03:30 jesuspeanut Foreshadowing for how Westeros will perceive Dany upon her arrival (spoilers extended)
Reading the below passage from Dany II in ACOK again, this might foreshadow Dany's internal thoughts about the Westerosi people when she arrives in Westeros and, in turn, the perspective of the Westerosi people about her as their new queen with an army of Dothraki, Unsullied and exiles. Thoughts?
All the colors that had been missing from Vaes Tolorro had found their way to Qarth; buildings crowded about her fantastical as a fever dream in shades of rose, violet, and umber. She passed under a bronze arch fashioned in the likeness of two snakes mating, their scales delicate flakes of jade, obsidian, and lapis lazuli. Slim towers stood taller than any Dany had ever seen, and elaborate fountains filled every square, wrought in the shapes of griffins and dragons and manticores. The Qartheen lined the streets and watched from delicate balconies that looked too frail to support their weight. They were tall pale folk in linen and samite and tiger fur, every one a lord or lady to her eyes. The women wore gowns that left one breast bare, while the men favored beaded silk skirts. Dany felt shabby and barbaric as she rode past them in her lionskin robe with black Drogon on one shoulder. Her Dothraki called the Qartheen "Milk Men" for their paleness, and Khal Drogo had dreamed of the day when he might sack the great cities of the east. She glanced at her bloodriders, their dark almond-shaped eyes giving no hint of their thoughts. Is it only the plunder they see? she wondered. How savage we must seem to these Qartheen. Pyrat Pree conducted her little khalasar down the center of a great arcade where the city's ancient heroes stood thrice life-size on columns of white and green marble. They passed through a bazaar in a cavernous building whose latticework ceiling was home to a thousand gaily colored birds. Trees and flowers bloomed on the terraced walls above the stalls, while below it seemed as if everything the gods had put into the world was for sale.

Technical Performance https://preview.redd.it/lammp1xm1o1d1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=489eae01c3533c6da385957d7d60ca633a12e547 Story Atmosphere Lore – 80/100 In Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, Senua traverses Midgard, seeking the gates of Hel to retrieve her lost love, Dillion's soul. The narrative unfolds with impeccable pacing, blending Senua's personal journey with Norse mythology, enriched by Lorestones strategically placed throughout the environment. These stones deepen the connection to Senua's narrative and unveil captivating tales of Norse myths through the compelling narration of Druth. From the eerie Valravyn's Keep to the ominous Hela's Sanctum, the game's atmospheric prowess is palpable, keeping players consistently on edge. Gameplay – 85/100 Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice brings a unique collection of gameplay elements, fusing exploration, combat, and puzzle-solving into the very fabric of the protagonist's struggle with psychosis. As players guide Senua, a Pict warrior navigating Norse-inspired landscapes, they confront both tangible adversaries and the haunting echoes of Senua's own mind. The combat system, visually appealing with its fluid movements and choreography, leans towards accessibility rather than a formidable challenge. While the lack of substantial adversaries may leave some yearning for more complexity, the game compensates with a masterful interplay between mechanics and narrative. Voices guide or torment, visions blur the lines of reality, and environmental puzzles evoke a constant sense of disquiet. This immerses players in Senua's perilous odyssey, offering not just a gaming experience but an exploration of mental illness. Action Adventure Genre: 75/100 Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice merges action and adventure elements in a unique but linear path, weaving its lengthy narrative-driven treks with sudden bursts of combat. This design choice focuses on narrative immersion over complex battle mechanics. The adventure component enriches the experience through the exploration of visually stunning environments and the discovery of hidden lore, distinguishing Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice within the action-adventure genre by prioritizing storytelling and atmospheric depth. Hack-and-Slash Genre: 82/100 Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice offers ample opportunities for engaging in hack-and-slash combat, inviting players to immerse themselves fully in Senua's battle-laden journey to Hel. Combat encounters, emerging spontaneously throughout the narrative, encourage a straightforward hack-and-slash approach, where strategic depth and methodical planning take a backseat to immediate action. However, the combat system introduces a rhythmic aspect, centering around the player's ability to parry and counterattack seamlessly. This mechanic infuses a degree of finesse into the battles, ensuring a fluid and enjoyable experience without imposing excessive difficulty. Overall, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice crafts a hack-and-slash experience that is both accessible and satisfying, favoring a smooth, rhythmic combat flow that complements its deeply immersive narrative. Puzzle Genre: 80/100 Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice presents players with diverse puzzles, ranging from those based on perspective hide-and-seek styles to environmental manipulation puzzles that transform as you traverse through specific arches. This variety ensures that the puzzle-solving experience remains fresh, avoiding any sense of repetition. However, the game sometimes withholds direct instructions for puzzle completion, leading to moments of confusion that momentarily disrupt an otherwise excellently crafted puzzle aspect. This approach to puzzle design, while challenging, adds depth to the game's narrative and thematic exploration, making the process of solving them not just a test of logic but a deeper dive into Senua's journey. Graphics/Art Design - 85/100 In the realm of visual storytelling, Ninja Theory's Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice stands as a consummate achievement, leveraging Unreal Engine 4 to redefine the boundaries of gaming graphics. The protagonist, Senua, captivates with an unprecedented level of emotional depth, achieved through the application of photogrammetry, elevating her character to an unparalleled level of realism. The meticulously designed environments, inspired by Norse and Celtic mythology and enveloped in a dark and gritty realism, immerse players in a visually stunning and authentic world. Approaching its seventh anniversary, Hellblade remains a testament to enduring quality, boasting meticulous attention to detail, dynamic lighting, and atmospheric effects. The game solidifies its status as a timeless visual masterpiece, establishing a definitive benchmark for unparalleled graphics and art design within the gaming landscape. Music and Audio – 80/100 Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice boasts an exemplary sound design, skillfully enveloping players in the nuanced atmospherics of the game. Throughout the gameplay, the convincingly thunderous in-game sounds evoke realism and prompt real-world reactions, exemplified by the player checking for an impending storm. The dynamic voices accompanying Senua's journey are a highlight, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail as they seamlessly shift in volume, distance, and tone, ensuring a consistently engaging experience. However, the game takes a more restrained approach on the musical front. While the concluding piece aligns aptly with the overall mood, the deliberate and limited use of music becomes apparent. This nuanced strategy, marked by the absence of a constant musical backdrop, introduces a layer of realism, providing a unique and immersive auditory experience that harmonizes with the game's world-building elements. Replayability – 75/100 Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, while a masterclass in storytelling and atmospheric gameplay, falls short in terms of replayability. The game lacks dynamic elements that would differentiate each playthrough, leaving subsequent experiences akin to retracing well-trodden paths. However, for those drawn to the rich lore of its world, a second playthrough or meticulous exploration using chapter select becomes a viable endeavor. Delving into the intricate narratives scattered across the game in the form of lorestones provides an avenue for deeper engagement, offering players an opportunity to unearth hidden details and achieve a comprehensive understanding of the profound mythos woven into the fabric of Senua's haunting journey. While the lack of varied outcomes may deter some seeking replay value, the allure of uncovering the world's hidden stories provides an alternative incentive for those willing to embrace a more lore-centric replay. Fun Factor – 75/100 Is Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice an enjoyable experience? Certainly, but with a caveat. The game's appeal doesn't neatly fit into the conventional notion of a "fun game" defined by light-hearted escapades and jubilant victories. Instead, its allure lies in the mastery of exceptional artistic and narrative directions. The fluidity of transitioning between enemies during combat is undeniably satisfying, yet the pervasive dark tone of the game occasionally prompts a yearning for moments of respite. Not every narrative demands a happy ending, but the relentless somberness of Hellblade can be draining, making the journey through its demoralizing storyline and, at times, convoluted narrative pieces an emotionally taxing endeavor. However, within this complexity, the stunning visuals, rich narrative, and unique gameplay elements create a captivating experience that transcends the traditional bounds of "fun," ensnaring players in a gripping narrative landscape that, despite its challenges, keeps them hooked from the very beginning. Technical Performance – 75/100 Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice demonstrated a commendable level of technical proficiency with a generally smooth performance. The only noticeable glitch occurred during the Trials of Odin, particularly within the Swamp Shard Trial, where Senua's legs temporarily froze for the first five steps upon respawning. Fortunately, this glitch was isolated and didn't recur throughout the rest of my playthrough, minimizing its impact on the overall experience. Notably, the game's frame rate deserves commendation for its consistency, contributing to a visually immersive and fluid gaming experience. The exceptional frame rate significantly enhanced the overall technical performance, allowing players to engage with the intricacies of Senua's journey without disruption. Creative Review Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is well-known for its lifelike facial animations and portrayal of psychosis, elements I knew of only by reputation before embarking on my own journey into its depths. My journey into Hel began with limited knowledge beyond these acclaimed aspects, but Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is much more than that. From the moment I navigated Senua’s boat through the misty waters toward the Norse lands, the game hooked me into its narrative. The immediate introduction to Senua’s psychosis, while a bit unnerving, really set the tone for the entire game. This beginning boat ride allowed me to get acclimated to these new voices, which I greatly appreciated. I was definitely jarred by their introduction and realism. The binaural audio the game uses made me honestly believe these voices were in my own head. In Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, you are constantly overcoming obstacles, with each new challenge placed just as you're about to progress through the narrative. From the moment you get off the boat, your initial goal is simply to keep moving forward. This task highlights Senua's unique predicament—she hears voices that others do not, marking her as different in a world that often shuns the unusual, whether it's a blessing or a curse. This sense of isolation continues until you reach the end of the swamp, where Senua's true mission is revealed: to journey to Hel and retrieve her beloved Dillion. Shortly thereafter, you face your first major puzzle: a door marked with a Nordic symbol that must be aligned with similar symbols in the environment, often formed by shadows. This game mechanic, which uses the game's interaction of lights and shadows, adds depth to the gameplay without requiring you to move a bunch of objects around. Initially, I struggled to find the symbols at this specific door, unsure of how they would look in my surroundings. However, once I located the first one, I had little trouble with similar puzzles I would see afterward. Around the door, you encounter Druth, a Nordic man whose stories, discovered mostly at lorestones, enrich the journey and deepen the game’s mythology and lore. Once unlocked, the path leads to the gate to Helheim, marking the first milestone on Senua’s quest to rescue Dillion. As I approached the gate to Helheim, I quickly dispatched the initial enemies, only to be overwhelmed by a wave of phantoms where I experienced my first defeat—a defeat that all players will experience at this point. Upon resurrecting, the game introduces a crucial mechanic: each death allows "the Darkness" to spread further over Senua, threatening her existence with permanent death if it entirely takes over her. This not only heightens the stakes but also instills a sense of dread at the thought of losing all progress after hours of gameplay. Despite this fear, the path to Helheim remains locked, requiring the defeat of both Surtr and Valravyn to proceed. The journey to these bosses is straightforward, with the occasional introduction of a lorestone or two that offer brief moments of exploration for the player. Along the way, the initially unsettling voices in Senua's head begin to aid in combat, often alerting me to blind-siding attacks and making it easier to evade any incoming danger around me. While the boss fights with Valravyn and Surtr are not overly difficult, they present unique challenges that distinguish them from regular enemies, although this contrast tends to highlight the ease of regular encounters more than the complexity of the boss battles. As I retraced my steps to the gate of Helheim, I was struck by the breathtaking environment around me. Having cleared all obstacles along the path during my journey to the lairs, I could now fully immerse myself in the surroundings. The far-off visuals were stunning, and the environmental sounds so realistic that, on several occasions, I found myself checking outside my own window to see if the thunder was real or just in Senua’s world. Upon my return to the gate, it unlocked, and I proceeded onto the Bridge to Helheim, which was covered with enemies that seemed endless. Yet, Senua and I persevered, reaching a door halfway across the bridge. Solving another Nordic symbol puzzle, we prepared to rescue Dillion, but Hela, the goddess of the underworld, had other plans. Bursting through the door, her immense presence was overpowering, and in a dramatic confrontation, she threw us off the bridge to Shipwreck Shore. Surviving an encounter with a goddess left me both relieved and daunted, the only thought occupying my mind being, “How on earth am I supposed to beat that?” The daunting task of defeating Hela loomed large in Senua’s mind, especially after her sword snapped in half during the skirmish on the bridge. As Senua regained her composure, a shining blue light in the distance caught my attention. Believing the light to be Dillion, as his voice seemed to carry from that direction, Senua was driven by hope to follow the light, thinking we might find him and abandon the tall order of defeating Hela eventually. However, the light instead led us to a giant tree with a sword embedded in it, reminiscent of Arthur’s legendary sword in the stone. Attempts to pull the sword were to no avail; it became clear that we needed to complete specific trials before claiming it. Around the tree, several lorestones glowed blue instead of the usual red, signaling the starting points of these new challenges laid before us. Druth’s voice returned to inform us that we must endure four trials of Odin to earn the right to wield the sword and continue our journey back to the entrance to Heheiml, each trial a challenge to test Senua’s resolve and a crucial part of her quest to confront Hela once again. Each trial of Odin posed a distinct challenge, from navigating a seemingly endless labyrinth to solving intricate Nordic symbol puzzles to scale a tower and even following Dillion’s voice through a pitch-black maze teeming with monsters, using illusion gates that altered the environment. As Senua overcame these obstacles, her confidence grew. This is reflected mainly in the transformation of the voices in her head from doubters to cheerleaders. This change was most noticeable when we finally pulled the sword, Gramr, from the tree. I expected this to be a moment of triumph, something that would raise Senua’s spirits. However, the victory was short-lived as removing the sword unexpectedly transported us to the Sea of Corpses—a disturbingly literal name, where relentless waves of enemies attacked Senua in one of the game's longest combat sequences. Despite the unsettling but visually stunning setting, the fluidity and satisfaction of the combat system made this section a highlight, as I found myself wishing for more enemies to extend the onslaught. After defeating the last of the foes, we found a path out of the Sea of Corpses, now fully prepared and eager for a second attempt to breach the gates of Helheim, armed with newfound resolve and the voices of encouragement firmly on our side. The bridge to Helheim, initially our intended path, was now broken from our confrontation with Hela. After searching, however, I soon found an alternative route that introduced us to Fenrir, a hound of Hel bent on our destruction. Fortunately for us, Fenrir could only attack in complete darkness, making the brazier near the newly found door an essential ally. As we ventured deeper into a cave on the verge of Helheim, we encountered numerous moments where water extinguished our only light, forcing us to sprint to the next flame or beam of light. This stretch, loaded with danger, accounted for most of my deaths, each one pushing me closer to a "Game Over" screen as darkness threatened to consume Senua. Despite the challenges and losing Dillion’s head—which I had carried from the start—I managed to retrieve it after navigating more dark patches. The final part of our journey through this cave was the intense showdown with Fenrir, who killed me twice, leaving me feeling powerless until, on my third attempt, I finally learned his attack pattern. With improved dodging, I defeated Fenrir and was finally ready to defeat Hela. We finally reached the final room, only to be greeted by a mysterious portal. With no indication of where it might lead, I stepped through and found myself transported directly into Hela's Sanctum, the heart of Hel. There, before me, stood Hela, the goddess responsible for taking Dillion from me. The sanctum stretched out as an ever-evolving landscape, begging me to forge ahead. As we advanced, we faced and overcame a relentless onslaught of enemies spawned by Hela. Each step brought us closer until, at last, we stood before her, ready to confront the source of our journey's sorrow. It is here we reach the conclusion. The ending of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is confusing, impactful, and unconventional. Without delving into spoilers, it's the kind of finale that will have you in a search bar asking, "What does the ending mean?"—a testament to its complexity and depth, which I found myself doing almost immediately. This isn't a critique of the game's clarity but rather an acknowledgment of the theories it inspires about its deeper meanings. Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice stands as a remarkable achievement by Ninja Theory, leaving me not only satisfied but eagerly anticipating what they might explore in a sequel. Score Summary: 79/100 From the haunting portrayal of Senua's psychosis to the unexpected twist in Helheim, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice stands out as a unique game that everyone should play. With accessible mechanics, stunning design, and enduring appeal, this dark odyssey remains captivating seven years after its release. Seamlessly blending narrative and gameplay, Hellblade offers an immersive experience that continues to resonate and captivate, solidifying it is truly deserving of a sequel. https://preview.redd.it/bzpqv6a12o1d1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=21a25c5143dd83c2e9e44a7d2d84b79bc2c09af5 Author: Adam Sorrell Author’s Title: VGT Journalist/Reviewer Author’s Favorite Game: Ghost of Tsushima What they’re playing now: Fallout 76 submitted by GPTGamingNews to u/GPTGamingNews [link] [comments] |
2024.05.21 00:55 Successful_Cut5317 Dungeon Dungeon Fruit
The
Dungeon Dungeon Fruit is a paramecia-type devil fruit that allows the user to become a living dungeon, making them a
Dungeon Master.
Strengths
Upon consuming the Dungeon Dungeon Fruit, the user will gain a permanent pocket dimension of a dungeon within themselves which they are able to customise however they like. The user can teleport people and objects into their dungeon through touch, shrinking them down and transporting them into the dungeon's interior.
The user also gains the ability to transform their body into a full-size dungeon matching the pocket dimension one as it is just the pocket dimension one expanding into the world and transforming the user into the building. If the user is above ground their dungeon will resemble a tower as it towers above the ground with its height dependent on the number of flours the user has created. If the user does it above ground the dungeon's rules of floors get flipped and the lower floors are weaker with the higher ones being stronger. Also, there will be an entranceway for people to enter or exit at the bottom of the "tower" form. If the user is underground their dungeon will meld with the environment and go down with the height dependent on the number of flours the user has created, additionally, the user will rise or sink to have an opening on the surface marking the entrance into the dungeon. When transformed the user has complete control over the dungeon, allowing them to manipulate its structure, features, and contents as if it were an extension of their own body. The user can enhance the durability of their dungeon, fortifying it against environmental hazards and potential threats.
Inside the dungeon, the user is able to create anything that can be found in a dungeon, including but not limited to, weapons, monsters, treasures, puzzles, traps, etc. The user is able to take out their creations however they must keep physical contact with it constantly and if they don't it will disappear and reappear back in their dungeon when the user has the energy to create it again.
Inside the dungeon, the user has absolute control capable of creating and controlling anything and everything in relation to dungeons.
Weaknesses
Standard devil fruit weaknesses apply.
Floors: The user has to separate the structure of their dungeon into floors, with every floor down able to create stronger entities and items with more elaborate and stronger traps and treasures.
Creatures: The creatures that the user creates in the dungeon are able to be influenced and controlled by the user's direct orders but anything besides the user's direct orders can possibly be disobeyed or dismissed by the creatures.
Outside contact: Items and creatures that the user made within their dungeon will turn into dust once they are apart from the user. Meaning that an item or creature can be taken out but only partially. The user can take out a sword and use it as a weapon but once they discard it or it no longer makes physical contact with them it will start to turn to dust.
Energy: It takes energy for the user to make anything within the dungeon be it items, monsters, or even them manipulating the dungeon to their will to make the impossible happen, or even remake the dungeon and its contents. The stronger the things/creatures that they create the more energy it will cost the user.
Space & Haki: Strong haki can neutralize creatures within the dungeon and make passage throughout the dungeon really easy, additionally any space manipulation can enable people the ability to escape from the user's Dungeon unless the user is constantly twisting space to prevent them from doing this.
'Magic': The dungeon is filled with the user's energy which they can use like magic. The 'Magic' within the dungeon can only ever be the user's energy that they used to create phenomenon, it is not real magic but the user using their ability to create anything within the dungeon. Haki can disrupt this energy and make the user's control over the dungeon unstable/erratic and it acts as a kind of anti-magic.
Destruction: Vistors can destroy the dungeon and trigger a full-scale collapse in order to get out of the dungeon quickly.
Dungeon Limit: The Dungeon can be of any size be it 1 floor, 10 floors, 100 floors or even 10,000 floors as many as the user wants, and these floors can be as big or as small as the user wants with space distorting to the users will. As well as the contents being however the user wishes them to be. However, the user is limited to having only one Dungeon created at a time.
Techniques:
The core of the Dungeon: This technique allows the user to merge their physical form with their dungeon, becoming the true core and centre of the Dungeon. When activated, the user's body undergoes a transformation, imbuing them with the visual appearance of their dungeon while retaining their base form's humanoid shape. The user appears as their usual self but with subtle manifestations of their dungeon's architecture spread across their entire body visible both internally and externally. Parts of the user's body may take on a spectral or ethereal quality, resembling stone, wood, or other materials found within their dungeon. Floors within the dungeon will be visible on the user's body and the user can interact with them like normal. While in this state, the user's control of their dungeon and sense of the dungeon as a part of their body is strengthened, granting them unparalleled control over its features and inhabitants. They can sense disturbances, manipulate the environment, and summon forth creatures or objects from within their domain with ease. The user's thoughts and intentions shape the very fabric of their dungeon, allowing them to adapt and respond to any situation. The Core of the Dungeon technique offers numerous tactical advantages. In addition to serving as a formidable defensive measure, it enables the user to access their dungeon's resources and defences instantaneously. They can summon forth weapons, traps, or allies as needed instantaneously. Additionally, the strongest part of this technique is that the user is able to take on the full condition of the dungeon allowing them to be as durable as the entire dungeon combined, as smart as the entire dungeon combined, and the user is able to draw on all the strength of the entire dungeon, etc.
Dungeon Gate: The user is able to create a portal on any part of their body, this portal can connect to anywhere within their dungeon. The user can use this to take out something or someone from their dungeon temporarily, the user can also use this to make an opening for one of their creatures to attack from the portal or to take out an item.

- Spectral Lantern: A lantern that can summon spirits to aid the user in various ways, such as scouting, fighting, or showing the way. The wielder must make sure the spirits they summon listen to them and make sure that the spirits don't try to lead the wielder to the dead's same fate.
- Serpent's Eye: An orb that grants the user the ability to see through illusions and detect hidden objects or beings. The orb has a swirling pattern inside that resembles a serpent's eye. However, Continuous use can strain the user's eyesight.
- Dragon’s Eye: A gem that allows the wielder to see through illusions and detect lies by emitting a faint glow when deception is present. The wielder must be paying attention to the gem to see it glow, plus someone may be talking too fast for the wielder to understand what words they said are a lie or not. It also has a limited range of effectiveness.
- Death's Whisper: A pendant that allows the user to communicate with the dead, gaining their knowledge and advice. The pendant is shaped like a skull with glowing eyes. However, communicating with the dead can attract malevolent spirits.
- Spirit Stone: A gemstone that can capture and contain the essence of defeated enemies, allowing the user to temporarily harness their abilities. The stone has a limited capacity and requires time to recharge between uses. Using too many abilities at once can overwhelm the wielder or allow them to be possessed by the collective spirits within the gemstone should their spirit not be strong enough.
- Starlight Pendant: A pendant containing a fragment of a fallen star. It allows the user to harness the power of starlight, creating blinding flashes, energy beams, and shields of light. The pendant's power diminishes in the absence of starlight or strong light sources. Continuous use can cause the pendant to overheat, requiring a cooldown period.
- Serpent's Fang Dagger: A dagger crafted from the fang of a mythical serpent. It can inject a potent venom that paralyzes or weakens its victims. The venom needs time to replenish after each use, limiting the number of effective strikes in a short period.
- Starry Night Robe: A robe adorned with patterns that mimic the night sky, granting the wearer the ability to blend into their surroundings and move silently. The camouflage effect is less effective in brightly lit environments.
- Abyssal Grimoire: A dark tome filled with forbidden knowledge and powerful spells. Reading from the grimoire allows the wielder to cast devastating dark magic at the cost of their own vitality. Each spell cast siphons a portion of the wielder’s life force, and prolonged use can lead to severe consequences, including physical and mental corruption.
- Eclipse Ring: A ring that harnesses the power of lunar and solar eclipses, allowing the wielder to cast powerful light and shadow magic. The ring’s power is tied to the phases of the moon and solar cycles, making it weaker during certain times.

- Stockpile Gauntlet: A gauntlet encrusted with crystals that can absorb and store magical energy, which can then be released in powerful bursts. Has a limited capacity for storing energy and can become unstable if overloaded. The release of energy is also taxing on the user’s arm causing it to strain from the backlash of powerful attacks/blasts.
- Warlock's Staff: A staff imbued with dark magic that enhances the wielder's spellcasting abilities and allows them to drain the life force of enemies. The staff’s dark magic can corrupt the wielder over time, leading to physical and mental deterioration.
- Harmony Orb: An orb that balances opposing forces, allowing the wielder to neutralize magic. The orb’s power can be overwhelmed by extremely powerful magic.
- Tempest Bow: A bow that allows the wielder to shoot arrows infused with the power of wind, capable of creating powerful gusts and small tornadoes on impact. The bow has a high energy cost and requires the wielder's energy to create wind-infused arrows. The bow's effectiveness is reduced in enclosed or windless environments.
- Blazing Quiver: A quiver that enchants any arrows placed within it to become flaming arrows, capable of setting targets ablaze on impact. The fire enchantment drains the user’s stamina, and arrows can be extinguished by water or strong winds.
- Seeker’s Map: A magical map that reveals the location of hidden treasures, secret passages, and important landmarks. It can easily be burned or torn and damaged by water like aged papyrus.
- Orb of Whispers: A crystal ball that allows the wielder to communicate telepathically with anyone they have met before, no matter the distance. The telepathy is one way and there is no way to know if the message they sent was successful without meeting up with them.
- Frostfire Lantern: A lantern that can switch between emitting a freezing cold light or a searing hot flame, depending on the wielder's needs. The lantern drains energy quickly when used in either mode, and the user must be careful to avoid harming themselves or allies with the extreme temperatures.
- Mermaid’s Locket: A locket that grants the wearer the ability to breathe underwater and communicate with aquatic creatures. The locket’s power is limited to water environments and drains energy if outside of water for extended periods.
- Phoenix Tear Flask: A flask containing a single, precious tear from a phoenix, which can heal any wound or cure any illness when consumed. The flask only contains a single use, and once used, it cannot be refilled. The healing effect can be overwhelming and incapacitating for a short period.
- Shifting Sands Bottle: A bottle filled with enchanted sand that can transform into various shapes and forms at the wielder's command. Controlling the sand requires mental concentration, and the transformations are temporary, reverting to sand if not maintained.
- Thunder Drum: A drum that, when played, can summon thunder and lightning to strike at the wielder's command wherever they are looking. Playing the drum is physically demanding, and summoning lightning requires precise timing and significant energy.
- Astral Compass: A compass that points towards the nearest source of magical energy, helping the user find enchanted objects and places. The compass can be misleading if multiple sources of magic are nearby, and it requires mental focus to interpret correctly.
- Seraphim’s Feather: A single, radiant feather that grants the wielder the ability to manifest wings and fly and create protective barriers of light. When the wielder manifests wings they gain a slight regeneration capable of suppressing minor illnesses and closing small cuts. However, flying and creating barriers drain the user’s stamina quickly, and the feather’s power diminishes if used excessively without rest.
- Celestial Harp: Crafted from the finest celestial metals and adorned with shimmering angelic runes, this harp produces music that can heal wounds, soothe minds, and uplift spirits. When played, it can calm storms, mend broken hearts, and bring peace to troubled souls. However, its power can only be harnessed by those with a pure heart.
- Saint's Cloak: A cloak woven from threads of starlight and blessed by archangels. It grants the wearer invisibility, protects them from harm, and allows them to move silently and swiftly. The cloak also has the power to create protective barriers that can shield allies. Only those with a heart dedicated to good can wear the cloak without it losing its power.
- Inferno Ring: A ring that grants the wearer the ability to control and manipulate fire, allowing them to create fireballs, walls of flame, and other fiery constructs. The ring consumes a significant amount of energy, and the ring is unable to be used when it is covered in water or ice.
- Moonstone Pendant: A pendant that enhances the wearer’s intuition and allows them to see in complete darkness. The enhanced intuition can be overwhelming, causing sensory overload if used for extended periods.
- Gauntlet of Titans: A gauntlet that grants the wearer immense strength, allowing them to perform feats of great physical power. The increased strength drains the user's stamina rapidly and can cause muscle strain if overused.
- Enchanted Quill: A quill that can write on its own, create detailed maps, transcribe spoken words, or draw intricate designs. The quill requires the wielder's concentration and drains mental energy, becoming less effective if used for extended periods.
- Gale Fan: A fan that controls the wind, allowing the user to create powerful gusts or gentle breezes. The fan requires physical effort to use effectively, and prolonged use can cause fatigue.
- Slothful Amulet: An amulet that induces a state of lethargy and apathy in the wearer, allowing them to no longer feel fatigued more than the amulet makes them, making them capable of doing strenuous activity while having the same amount of energy. However, prolonged use leads to a life devoid of purpose or ambition, trapped in a perpetual cycle of laziness and stagnation.
- Prideful Armour: Armour adorned with intricate designs and enchantments, the more prideful the wearer is the stronger the armour becomes allowing it to take attacks that appear instantly fatal. However, once the user takes off this armour they will feel worthless and will despair until they wear the armour again or learn to live without it.
- Greed's Coin: A golden coin that multiplies the wielder's wealth with each transaction, bringing untold riches to its owner. However, every gain comes at the expense of others, leading to exploitation and manipulation. The insatiable desire for wealth will eventually drive the user to commit increasingly ruthless acts, ultimately isolating them from all but their material possessions.
- Glutton's Chalice: A chalice that endlessly produces the finest foods and beverages, satisfying every craving of the user. Indulging in its offerings grants temporary pleasure and sustenance but leads to insatiable hunger and addiction. Over time, the user becomes enslaved by their own desires, unable to resist the allure of excess.
- Wrath's Broken Sword: A broken Zweihänder infused with the fury of the enraged, granting the wearer immense strength and destructive power. When activated, the sword will grow as if healing itself from all of its lifetime of damage, and then it engulfs the user in a raging aura of flames, enhancing their combat prowess but clouding their judgment with unbridled anger. Prolonged use risks losing control and becoming consumed by rage.
- Envy's Mirror: A mirror that reflects the desires of the beholder, showing them what they covet most in the world. When gazed upon, the user can see what they want the most in the world, and then they can take it out of the mirror, a mirrored copy of what they want the most. However, the more they use the mirror the more they will begin to envy those around them succumbing to its temptations which can lead to obsession and eventual downfall.
- Lust's Mask: A mask that enhances the allure and charisma of the wearer, captivating all who gaze upon them with irresistible charm and desire. While wearing it, the user can manipulate others to fulfil their every whim and desire. However, once the mask is removed the user will look disfigured permanently, with only a holy artefact that can remove curses capable of dispelling the terrible effects.
- The Crown That No One Wanted: A Crown that once worn will grant its wearer the power to be empowered by every sin they commit and others commit in the wearer's vicinity. However, this crown can not be removed except upon the wearer's death, and everyone the wearer sees the wearer will be able to see all of their sins and the next sin they are about to commit.
- Amulet of the Demi-Lich: An ancient amulet crafted from obsidian and etched with ominous glyphs, housing the imprisoned essence of a powerful demi-lich. When worn, the amulet bestows upon the wearer all the Demi-Lich's knowledge of dark magic and necromancy, granting access to the lich's vast repository of forbidden spells and arcane rituals. The wearer gains the ability to draw upon the demi-lich's powers, wielding dark energies to bend the forces of life and death to their will. Shadows obey their command, and the air grows thick with the whispers of the undead. However, with each use of the amulet's power, the malevolent consciousness of the demi-lich begins to seep into the wearer's mind, whispering temptations and promises of unimaginable power. The wearer's thoughts become consumed by the lich's desires, their will is slowly eroded by its relentless influence. If the wearer succumbs to the lich's control, their body becomes a vessel for its resurrection. The amulet shatters, releasing the demi-lich's essence to merge with the wearer's soul, transforming them into a vessel of undeath. From the ashes of the wearer's humanity, the demi-lich rises once more, eager to unleash its reign of darkness upon the world once more.
- Lich's First Wand: Crafted from the ancient and gnarled wood of the Veilwood trees, this wand holds the essence of the lich's earliest forays into magic, before corruption took hold. The wood is smooth to the touch, with delicate carvings depicting scenes of nature and life. When wielded by a skilled mage, the Veilwood Staff channels the untainted magic of its creation, granting the user the ability to manipulate the forces of nature and harness the primal energies of the earth. It can conjure gentle breezes, summon vines to entangle foes, and heal wounds with the touch of its tip. Unlike the dark artefacts associated with lichdom, the Veilwood Staff does not seek to corrupt or dominate its wielder. Instead, it serves as a reminder of the lich's origins and the purity of their magical pursuits before succumbing to the allure of immortality. However, despite its benign nature, the staff still bears the lingering echoes of the lich's ambitions and desires. Those who wield it may experience faint whispers and visions of the lich's past, offering glimpses into the choices that led to their transformation. The lich's pleads for help to find the one that he could not echo in the wielder's dreams, to complete what he never could.
Dungeon Master's Clarvoiant Gaze: The user can see through the eyes of any creature or object within their dungeon, providing them with complete surveillance of their domain. Although this can be very helpful to the user to help them survey their dungeon as if they are all seeing, without training, they will have no attention of their surroundings and may be ambushed in their distraction.
Monster Maker: The user manifests fearsome creatures within their dungeon, bringing them to life from the depths of their imagination. By channelling their energy and focusing their will, the user can create a wide variety of monsters, each with unique abilities, characteristics, and behaviours. These creatures serve as guardians, minions, or challenges within the dungeon, obeying the user's commands and defending their domain against intruders. To create a creature the user goes through three steps; Visualization, Energy Channeling, and Materialization. Firstly the user begins by visualizing the creature they wish to create, envisioning its form, size, and attributes in vivid detail. They draw upon their knowledge of mythology, folklore, and imagination to craft a truly unique monster. Then with a focused mind and a surge of energy, the user channels their power into the creation process, infusing the imagined creature with life force. This energy serves as the catalyst for bringing the creature into existence within the dungeon. Lastly, as the energy takes shape, the creature materializes within the user's dungeon, emerging from the depths as a tangible entity. The user can control the creature's appearance, abilities, and behaviour to suit their needs and objectives. The user can make any type of monster that they like, the only limit is their energy and their imagination, but some examples include;
Beasts: Ferocious creatures such as dire wolves, giant spiders, or griffins, possessing keen senses and formidable physical abilities.
Undead: Reanimated corpses, skeletal warriors, or spectral apparitions, instilling fear and dread in those who encounter them.
Elementals: Living embodiments of natural elements, including fiery salamanders, watery serpents, or earthen golems, each with unique elemental powers.
Aberrations: Bizarre and otherworldly entities, such as tentacled horrors, shape-shifting mimics, or mind-controlling aberrations, capable of confounding and terrifying intruders.
Constructs: Artificial beings crafted from magical or mechanical components, ranging from clockwork automatons to golems forged from enchanted stone or metal. They can also create many more, but these are only some examples. The user can control their creations in multiple ways and command them to act together; The user can maintain their control over the monsters they create, commanding them with their will and asserting their dominance as the Dungeon Master. The monsters obey the user's orders without question, serving as loyal guardians or relentless assailants. Also, the user can tailor the behaviour and objectives of the monsters to suit their needs, directing them to patrol specific areas, guard valuable treasures, or attack intruders on sight. The main limitations of Monster Maker are its energy consumption, maintenance, and the limits of the user's control, just meaning that the monsters can possibly rebel if they are strong enough and the user has mistreated them.
Fake Floor: The user creates a temporary floor within their dungeon that can hold illusions, making it seem like a normal, physical floor with traps, monsters, or treasures. All of the illusions on this floor seem real and can actually work to a degree on this floor with illusions capable of causing damage (although weaker than normal and unable to cause any damage if the illusion is seen through) and even treasures appearing to work within the fake floor, but upon exit of the fake floor, they will find out that everything they gained from the floor was but an illusion.
Safe Floor: The user creates a temporary floor within their dungeon that can act as a sanctuary for those within the dungeon. This floor is imbued with a protective aura that prevents any monsters or hostile entities from entering. Additionally, it has a restorative effect, healing anyone inside over time. The effect of keeping monsters out acts as a semi-permeable barrier and can be broken or pierced by high-ranking creatures.
- A Sanctuary For Everyone: If a low-lever monster is pulled into the safe zone by others then it can turn into a normal harmless creature like a deer, squirrel, badger, etc.
Exit Floor: The user creates a temporary floor within the dungeon in between any floor that they want that allows visitors to leave the dungeon. The Exit floor will appear at the end of every dungeon and will be the turnaround point for the visitor(s) allowing them to go back into the dungeon from the start, where they came from, or even leaving the dungeon entirely.
Empty Floor: The Empty Floor is the start and the end of the dungeon, it will always be present and from here the user can create the dungeon, store whatever they want to, keep others safe here, etc. The empty Floor will be present even when the dungeon is destroyed, it can never be destroyed except with the death of the user. This floor is free from all laws, no laws from the universe exist in this space without the user making them. No laws not even life, death, time, space, reality, cause and effect are present within this floor without the user making them exist. In the case of Life and death do not exist here letting those who die in the dungeon live here should the user want them to, the user can even reincarnate them into a creature however this would make them completely reliant on the dungeon and die should they leave the dungeon and the connection with the user. Anyone within this floor is capable of moving throughout the dungeon as they please and even leave as they, please.
Dungeon Collapse: The user can start a dungeon collapse, making their dungeon and all of its floors begin to collapse, starting from its first floor and going to its last floor. Space will begin to distort and the monsters will either flee to other floors in order to survive a little longer or crumble to dust from the cataclitic wave of destruction that the user set in motion. The user can send any creatures that they wish to survive into the Empty Floor. Any visitor within the Dungeon will have to flee from the dungeon collapse as quickly as they can and reach the exit, if they cannot make it in time then they will be heavily wounded and possibly killed by the collapse of the dungeon depending on debre, and they will wake up in the Empty Floor dead or alive.
Treasure Trove: The user can create hidden chambers within their dungeon filled with valuable treasures and artefacts. These chambers can only be accessed through secret passages or by solving intricate puzzles. Creating elaborate treasures consumes a significant amount of the user's energy.
Gate: The user can create temporary portals within their dungeon that allow instant travel between different locations. These portals can be used for rapid deployment of allies or for quick escapes. Gates require precise control and consume a large amount of energy. Misuse can lead to unintended destinations or portal malfunctions.
- Defensive Gate: The user creates a gate on their body which either pulls in someone who makes contact with it, or it takes in an enemy's attack making that attack directly damage the dungeon in the location of wherever the user set the destination of the gate.
- Pocket Gate: The user creates a gate on their body and pulls out an item or stores an item in it allowing for quick storage and allowing the user to take out weapons from seemingly nowhere.
- Gate Binding: The user makes multiple gates on their body and traps a target's limbs in the different gates stopping their movements. The gates are not strong enough to rip the target apart but the user can use creatures on the other side of the gates to hold the target in place.
Awakening:
With the awakening of the Dungeon Dungeon Fruit, the user can now use their abilities on a much larger scale, with their mind finally caught up with their powers, their powers are able to affect the world around them spreading much further than their body once stopped them. Their power spills over into the world around them, letting them expand their dungeon into the environment shaping it to their desire. The user is able to extend their abilities to what could be considered impossible or illogical, empowering old techniques to new heights and creating new ones that were not possible before.
Awakening Techniques:
Heart of the Dungeon: Similar to "The Core of the Dungeon," the Heart of the Dungeon allows the user to merge their physical form with their dungeon, but it comes with even greater powers and capabilities. When the user activates the Heart of the Dungeon, they gain the extraordinary ability to morph and reshape their immediate surroundings to form the intricate corridors, chambers, and traps of their dungeon. This transformation is both fluid and immediate: walls sprout from the ground, ceilings stretch overhead, and floors ripple like liquid, all under the user's absolute control. The entire dungeon environment responds to the user's movements and commands, making it a living extension of their will. Moreover, the Heart of the Dungeon bestows upon the user the power to draw strength from everything within their dungeon. This includes the treasures hidden within its depths, the creatures that inhabit its halls, and the traps laid to ensnare intruders. Every element of the dungeon, whether animate or inanimate, contributes to the user's power, enhancing their physical abilities, powers, and overall resilience.
Dungeon break: The user is able to create a gate that connects to the inside of their dungeon and then releases whatever they want, may it be the creatures, treasures, or even the dungeon itself causing space to distort and merge the dungeon with the world around them. Creatures will pour out of the gate in a stampede, treasures and items can pour out of the gate like a sea of gold, and the dungeon can expand out of the gate like a crawling calamity. The gate while being a spatial distortion can still be broken with enough force. Once the gate(s) are closed then the creatures, items, and/or dungeon will be sucked back into the gate returning to the user's dungeon.
- Creatures: The user is able to create a massive amount of creatures within their dungeon and then release them from themselves pouring all the creatures with weapons and items that the user has created come out of a gate they created able to be used freely without fear of them disappearing until the user has run out of energy to sustain them.
- Dungeon: By creating a gate connecting to the user's dungeon, the user causes the surrounding area to 'fold' into their dungeon, effectively transporting portions of the external world into their dungeon and vice versa, until the gate is closed.
Authority: The user is able to grant a portion of their authority to people they brought into the dungeon or any creature they want, allowing them to control the creatures and the contents of a specific floor.
- Limited Trust: Limit the granted authority by time or a specific action, automatically revoking control after a certain period of specific condition(s) are met, ensuring temporary stewardship.
- Delegate: The user can specifically define the level of control an individual has over creatures and traps, fine-tuning the balance between autonomy and oversight.
Living Dungeon: The user can create a 'living' dungeon that adapts to intruders, capable of thought and acting in the best interest of the user and their dungeon. Capable of dynamically generating obstacles and challenges to test visitors specifically based on their observed strengths and weaknesses.
Trap Reave: With a single gesture, the user can implant numerous traps in their immediate environment or even within themselves that can then be activated and affect those nearby. These traps can have a multitude of hidden triggers and can be adjusted to be more potent, and capable of protecting larger areas with complex mechanisms.
- Chains: The user summons chains from the depths of their dungeon, binding and dragging enemies into their dungeon, whether it be from their gate or their main body, forcing targets to escape their dungeon.
Mini-Dungeon Core: The user creates a crystal-like smooth ball that contains a Dungeon within it, anyone who touches this mini-dungeon core will be drawn into the dungeon within and have to clear the dungeon to escape. However, since this is a mini-dungeon core it has a few limitations, firstly the dungeons in the mini-dungeon core can only have a maximum of 10 floors, additionally, the mini-dungeon core can be broken out of with either strong haki, spatial abilities, or any abilities that allow someone to break the crystal balls shell and release those trapped within it.
- Gate Landmark: The user can use the Mini-dungeon as a spatial anchor to allow them to teleport to the inside of the dungeon from their own dungeon and then exit it letting them be able to have a limited form of teleportation outside of the dungeon.
- Dungeon Master's Watch: Through the mini-dungeon core, the user can spy on those trapped inside the mini-dungeon, gathering information or learning from the way they handle the challenges presented to them.
- Dungeon Master's Hidden Influence: The user can control the creatures within the mini-dungeon core remotely, using them to perform tasks or relay messages to the outside world as if they were puppets. The user can also possess the creatures allowing them to share their senses and see through the creature's eyes and control them as easily as they can control their own body, however, the user will feel all of the body's physical pain and will also feel it's death should the creature die with the user possessing it.
- Fake Core: This generates a copy of the mini-dungeon core, which operates as a decoy, with both the original and the duplicate appearing legitimate to outsiders.
Awakening Weaknesses:
Energy: The vast expansion of power and control can be incredibly draining, meaning the user could risk total exhaustion or burnout if they use these abilities too frequently or for extended periods of time.
Heart of the Dungeon: While the user is merged with their dungeon the dungeon will be taking damage directly making every hit they take shake the dungeon and possibly collapse it. Additionally when the user is using a creature(s) and they take a serious hit that creature will die if that hit is strong enough to kill the creature(s). The same applies to treasures.
Dungeon Awareness: The user may need to split their awareness to monitor the larger area of effect of their dungeons and mini-dungeons, which can leave them blind to certain regions or overextended in their vigilance.
Waning Authority: Granting authority to too many individuals could dilute the user's overall control and open up the possibilities for internal conflict or sabotage.
Gate Fragility: The gates, while powerful and useful, are a lifeline for the user and their comrades getting in and out of the dungeon. The gates themselves are fragile and can be destroyed with enough strength or anyone capable of cutting space temporarily severing the user's lifeline in and out of the dungeon and cutting off a large amount of their powers until another can be made.
Dungeon Dissonance: The larger-scale dungeon transformations(brought into the environment) may not be as finely tuned as smaller-scale manipulations leading to instability or flaws that clever opponents can exploit.
Complexity: As old techniques are powered to new heights, the complexity of managing and understanding them also increases, which can lead to mistakes or malfunctions in their execution. Or it can just make it where the user is unable to make new techniques for most techniques.
Sensory Feedback: When the user possesses a creature they feel everything their controlled creatures feels, and then they might suffer from sensory overload or distraction during critical moments.

2024.05.21 00:07 NZSpaceInvader [PC FLASH GAME][2010s?]2D, side on, merge, alien defence
Platform(s): BrowsePC flash game
Genre: Alien tower defence
Estimated year of release: could be 2010
Graphics/art style: dark, grungy and dull, very rustic with the, not quite pixelated but more like strikeforce heros 3 kinda graphics. Completely different gameplay
Notable characters: there was just cubes and aliens, cubes were not sentient
Notable gameplay mechanics: I played it a long time ago, it was a 2d tower defense side on, not top down, it was space themed with aliens coming from both sides of the screen, you places squares down, the squares were mostly a dark grayish maybe a tint of blue colour but they had neon "cores" or centers, there was purple square centre, i dont think i knew what this did and used it as a wall because the aliens would, similar to pvz, eat your towers, green triangle core, this one shot lasers i dont remeber what the others did, cyan circle core. if 2 same colour squares touched they would merge and get stronger,The squares would place in columns and drop fall down to the next square it could, if monsters touched the ship in the middle you would lose health and lose. the aliens that game from each side where pure black with white eyes, some big, some swarm, everything was very darkend with almost no bright colours. I can answer questions if you need, but don't expect me to remember everything...
Other details: Side on not top down, defend the middle, merge squares, aliens, dark colours.

2024.05.20 23:29 Competitive_Funny964 First time old Diablo player - free play to level 20 D4
I played D1, D2, D3 and Di - combined thousands of hours on PC, PS, Nintendo and phone. I played also PoE but that game gets me bored faster than I can even finish the story (been trying for many, many years)
D4 I tried the free version due to recent positive feedback from YouTubers.
Here is my feedback in case some need it.
First of all, no brainer, YouTubers are not casual gamers. I am... I have family, job, stuff. So Diablo is not that great for me. No checkpoints, I have to redo a lot to go back to where I was, to the point that after doing 10 - 20 minutes I was like: "wait a second... I already saw that kid with that illusion. I thought it saved..." Now I am curious how D3 was at that. D2 would put me back in the city, that is better I guess.
- D4 is a better D3 for sure, but far from D2. Better because of "realism" in the graphics, and the story is actually interesting (I am considering buying it just to see how the story unfolds). Voices are great, I hope they are not AI generated, because if they are then ... The music is great and I already put it on my subscription service.
- I don't like the lack of vast open world and by that I mean that I hate the presence of path type world. I am constantly in a labyrinth, looking at map and finding myself hitting a wall. All the map is one big giant dungeon (plus the dungeons are the same kind, labouringth and what is crazy is that the city is the same thing.. I am in act 1 and I saw a bunch of cities so I forgot all... I could not get used to main city because I am presented with another one just 1h in the play. And another labyrinth... . D2 had open world + dungeon + true labyrinth with a twist. PoE has actually more than D2 meaning evolution (if has arena type map, tower defence type map... in fact it has map types :))
- the character (for me at least) seems to glide on the surface, it has bad animation for walking... it moves before it made a step and continues after the animation stoped. since the game has vast NOTHING is easy to "focus" on character because it is the only thing on the screen. When pushing the "jump" button, the animation is even worse. I wonder if the horse is just as bad... Zelda Breath of the Wild (or TotK) never had that issue... I don't remember this type of game since FIFA 2000.
- Loading is pain... And for nothing.. just so that I can see what could have been a cut scene pre-rendered. I play on fast SSD with 2021 spec PC tower in 4K. Btw so far the game did not have that many bugs. Sure monsters appear, I have to wait for the "right time" to push on
I don't like the color.scheme so far. Maybe in other acts it will change.
I don't like that if I go back to where I started, monsters are always my level... How am I supposed to grind?

Note: for some games from humble I might ask for gift links. There is a rumor 3 years ago that humble bans users due to making gift links only. I make gift links every week, never have any issues. I have no idea why humble would ever ban its customers for using a feature it provides to its custimers.
I do not believe humble teaches you how to make gift links, so it can ban you, lol
