2024.05.21 13:00 ScarletMenaceOrange Kobo Libra 2 review (first e-reader)

After going totally nuts trying to decide between this and the colour version, I finally bit the bullet. I don't have other e-readers to compare to, but I did absorb huge amounts of info from Youtube videos, reviews, and comparisons.
Someone said that the BW screen is magical. I did not really believe it, but the first time I got the device, I tried to peel off the text from the device's screen, because I thought it has a sticker on it. Well, it was just text on the normal screen, it just magically looks like paper. The reason why I don't switch this to colour (even if the temptation is there) is exactly this, I don't want to give this magical paperlike screen away. It can be even read normally without any backlight, but you need some ambient lighting then, or to be at outdoors. Even then, you can get away with 4-8% backlight usage, which is very small. Biggest draw of the device for me was that it is easy for the eyes compared to LCD screens, so no way I'm ever giving that perk away. As I understand it, colour version has a dimmer screen that needs more backlight, which then makes it to be less "magically paperlike". I'm sorry, Libra colour, maybe some day when the technology has improved, or I can afford a companion device (or two 😂).
I got the Kobo plus free trial, definitely everyone should try it, as you can cancel it right after and still use the month, then continue if you feel like it. However, the plus collection is not that large, it was hard to find something that I know and enjoy from there. It was good for testing reading and manga capabilities though.
The wifi was a bit annoying, bouncing on and off. Also the normal home library view was not that good. I sorted my manga's in different folders, but the device did not seem to care about this. Also it wants you to check out the store and its over priced wares. For example, Made In Abyss one manga volume costs 10 dollars, while you can get a physical edition for of the same thing for 15 dollars. I just call it what it is, highway robbery. Luckily you can sideload the thing easily if you can get your books in other ways, so I'll be doing just that and saving a TON of money. The first day I got it, I read the whole day, and it would have costed me about 80 dollars in manga purchases alone.
So I installed Koreader, which made everything just better, if you take a bit of time to finetune it, as the default settings are not very nice. Also you need to install a dictionary, which is another ordeal to do and find one. After this, the device is just faster, it is a BIG difference while reading manga. The horribly expensive store is gone, good riddance I say! Wifi can be turned off eternally for all I care, more simplicity and no battery drain. Manga's and books can be sorted in libraries, and the device understands it! Custom screensaver is easy to get, ofc need to have that too, just for fun. Well now it starts to look like a great device, it seems that doing little bit of work really pays off. If I tried to use the device "as intended", I would have no money left, and would still be waiting for those absurdly large manga pages to turn (some which crashed the device). This is the way.
So yeah, it is a very good device. The screen autorotating feature is excellent, I find myself reading books on landscape mode, even if it is not the first instinct. Perfect use in outside sun with 0 backlight. The buttons are a must, I would not buy anything without side buttons at this point. Only wish it had a remote page turning, that would be the next step. You can mod for it, but that will be a hassle, and the current solutions are far from perfect. When people realize how comfy that would be, maybe in future the devices start to feature it. I guess it is hard to covet something that you do not know or have not experienced.
I was scared that the size is not good enough for manga, but it is. Emphasis on "good enough", it will do the job, and reading them is enjoyable, but a bigger screen would be optimal. Also when Kindle made a "manga version", it had this exact screen dimensions.
The screen, again, is immaculate in it's details. I'm enjoying too much how my wallpaper looks on it, it can be used as a tabletop photo frame, like a decoration! That will require buying a case for it, which I recommend, as when you close the case, the device goes to sleep automatically, and wakes up when you open the cover. That is very convenient, as is the ability to use the cover as a stand. I would just buy it for the screen protection alone.

2024.05.21 12:59 DevoteeOfCittaDharma An ALS patient will stand up by practicing Buddhism hard (渐冻症)

Hong Kong Dharma Talk by Master Lu
2016-07-03
Editor’s note: Dharma Master Jun Hong Lu has a powerful Dharma eye. He can clearly diagnose karma sources by reading the patient’s totem. The participants ask questions at the Dharma Convention, and Master Lu answers them by reading their totems. For living individuals, please tell Master Lu their zodiac and birth year; for deceased individuals, please tell Master Lu their names and death year. Master Lu will acquire their totems through these messages. By reading their totems, Master Lu will find the causes of their illness, helping them treat their diseases.
Patient's wife: This is my husband. He was born in 1969, and his zodiac sign is a rooster. Since being diagnosed with ALS in 2013, he has lost all mobility in his limbs.
Master Lu: No strength in the waist, the whole spine looks like completely paralyzed.
Patient's wife: Yes.
Master Lu: Ouch! Two spirits are pulling him, two rope-like wires pulling his waist, just pulling it upward, so he often gets cramps.
Patient's wife: Yes, yes.
Master Lu: He can still live for one year and three months. You have to tell him to change himself and recite Buddhist scriptures well. I'm telling you, he's here to pay his debt. This is his mother, isn't it?
Patient's wife: His mother.
Master Lu: You tell his mother to recite Buddhist scriptures for him properly. He is here to pay off his karmic debt, and he will be passing away very soon, so you have to recite the Little House to him now. His mother was very strict with him since he was a child, scolding and beating him constantly. Your mother-in-law is very fierce. As soon as the debt is paid off, he will pass away. Thus, I told you (the audience in the convention hall) to take it easy on yourselves about everything. Even if you know that your wife owes you debt, you should not force her to desperately pay. Many wives say, "Ouch, my husband owes me." They abuse their husbands every day, and one day the husband runs away because it's paid off. Do you understand?
Patient's wife: Understand.
Master Lu: You tell his mother to recite the Little House for him every day, a total of 384 sheets, this is the first set so far.
Patient's wife: I have already burned 800 Little House for his karmic creditors, and released 7000 fish.
Master Lu: Well, he's getting a little better. You tell him to take calcium tablets, and eat lecithin. Also, he has poison in his body and is often constipated.
Patient's wife: Yes, yes.
Master Lu: His brain is often messed up.
Patient's wife: Yes, yes, yes.
Master Lu: He often has painful feelings. Keep his mother from bothering him. What do you know, granny? You cast spell over his head, as if you were really doing something. Do you want me to get rid of your soul ah?
Patient's wife: She didn't learn any spells.
Master Lu: You see she just scratched over her son's head like this. Don't scratch, do you understand? Really, alas! (He) owes her. Do you know who his mother's face looks like, do you know? Like an official of the underworld ah? I tell you, (the mother) is to ask for debts. When her son is about to pay off his debt, he will be taken away. (The mother is) very powerful. Alas, you just let fate take its course. In your family, mother has the highest status, and the second is your husband, you are the third.
Patient's wife: Yes yes.
Master Lu: If you have a dog in your family, you will become the fourth. Do you understand? Recite Buddhist scriptures properly!
Patient's wife: Master, how many more Little Houses do we need to recite for him? How many fish to liberate for him?
Master Lu: 18,000 fish.
Patient's wife: Okay.
Master Lu: Continue reciting Little Houses for him until you reach the target of about 890 sheets.
Patient's wife: Now we have finished 800 sheets.
Master Lu: Keep reciting until he recovers. He will be able to stand up later, but he is weak and needs crutches.
Patient's wife: Okay.
Master Lu: If reciting Buddhist scriptures well he can stand up. No big problem. He just has a severe atrophy.
Patient's wife: Yes, yes, yes.
Master Lu: His muscles are all atrophied. With time, all muscles will completely close up.
Patient's wife: He is now having difficulty swallowing, and eating is a problem.
Master Lu: There is a way to help him. Serve him great compassion water every morning, and then ask his mother to give him a throat massage by hand. When you do massage for your husband, you recite the Great Compassion Mantra. Every time he can not swallow, you do massage for him with your mouth reciting the Great Compassion Mantra. You try, each time you can help him to be able to swallow. This is a temporary solution.
Patient's wife: Okay, thank you, Master!

2024.05.21 12:58 Ambitious-Way326 How do i balance work and free time in my mind?

Hello,
Little background: Typical gifted kid -> sailed through middle and high school -> University was hard with courses like mathematical statistics and such -> Started learning more productive work processes and how to learn more effectively -> about to finish Master's with a golden job offer in quant finance.
I feel i have a hard time separating work and free time in my mind. I either always have work and productivity stuff in the back of my mind or i don't. If i don't have it in the back of my mind, i just do whatever i want which is fun up to a point. If i do have it in the back of my mind, i usually burn out after a certain point. An example of this was in the last semester of my Bachelor's:
I remember seeing some Dr. K videos about Vata personality (have more tings going on, switch between projects that last 6-12 months) and if feeling overwhelmed/burned out one should do more voluntarily, so i kind went hard: On top of two courses and Bachelor's project, i payed for two extra courses that were Master's level Machine Learning courses (not the usual easy ones), with a student job in data science, and a couple of mid-level coding projects on the side. I was almost always working, and even when i wasn't, i could not let go of work in my mind. When the whole ordeal was over, i was completely burned out, and when friends asked what i did over the summer, i remember telling them that i just slept for like three months.
I discovered that part of the reason i was so burned out, was because of coffee consumption, that ruined my sleep and made me feel horrible because of lack of sleep. I stopped drinking coffee, and now i find it hard to do stuff. I can work study and do achieve reasonable results, but not the same as before. Also, it is like after some initial motivation, i have to make myself stressed to keep working. This stress just kind of stays there in the back of my mind generating restless thought, reminding me of work, and messes up my sleep. I can meditate to release the stress but this takes like atleast an hour and only brings me back to baseline, and this is only right now. Can't imagine if i have a very stressful 9-6 quant job.
What annoys me is the inability to relax and just be present when i am done working. I have friends, who after a hard day of being productive in whatever, are just able to let it go and do whatever. Go to social events, do a fun activity, get their hunting license, or even just veg out watching Netflix without a care in the world. I just have this ball of stress, which can only be released if i meditate for an hour, but if i am productive for 8-10 hours, and go out to a park and meditate which can take 1.5 hours, then i am exhausted and don't have alot of time to do anything, before the cycle starts again tomorrow. Kind of like there is a part of me that needs some kind of stimulation, and i do stuff like pomodoro to appease this part of myself while working, but i still need more when i am done and i can't get enough. This consistently leads to burnout.
Part of it is probably that i don't acknowledge the things i do, there is always just the next thing. I don't know, what do you guys think?

2024.05.21 12:58 maxed_out_day Made with ChatGPT! - Random Lambert Materializer for Maya

Hey everyone, I just whipped up a fun little Python script for Maya that uses ChatGPT (big thanks to the devs!) to assign random Lambert materials to your selected objects.
This script is great for quickly adding some visual variety to your scene, especially during the early blocking stages. It's also a handy way to create a bunch of colorful objects for material studies or presentations.
Here's how it works:
  1. Select your objects in Maya.
  2. Run the script. (You can source it or put it on a shelf button for easy access)
  3. Boom! Each selected object will get a brand new Lambert material with a completely random color.
Here's the script itself (feel free to copy and paste):
import maya.cmds as cmds
import random
def assign_unique_lambert_materials():
# Get selected objects
selected_objects = cmds.ls(selection=True)
if not selected_objects:
cmds.warning("No objects selected.")
return
for obj in selected_objects:

Create a new Lambert material

material_name = cmds.shadingNode('lambert', asShader=True)

Create a unique color

color = (random.random(), random.random(), random.random())

Assign the color to the material

cmds.setAttr(material_name + '.color', color[0], color[1], color[2], type='double3')

Create a shading group

shading_group = cmds.sets(renderable=True, noSurfaceShader=True, empty=True)

Connect the material to the shading group

cmds.connectAttr(material_name + '.outColor', shading_group + '.surfaceShader', force=True)

Assign the shading group to the object

cmds.select(obj)
cmds.hyperShade(assign=shading_group)
cmds.select(clear=True)
cmds.select(selected_objects)
cmds.warning("Assigned unique Lambert materials to selected objects.")

Run the function

assign_unique_lambert_materials()
Just a heads up:
Feel free to play around with the script and let me know if you have any questions! Happy Maya-ing!

2024.05.21 12:56 Acceptable_Usual3380 Short Hair with Bangs: How To Achieve A Flattering And Versatile Hairstyle

Short Hair with Bangs: How To Achieve A Flattering And Versatile Hairstyle
https://preview.redd.it/33d3l78cgr1d1.jpg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2fa974d13f46519f25339e22106302b650efcfbe
Short hair with bangs is a stylish and versatile choice that can enhance your features and provide a fresh, modern look. This combination offers numerous styling options, making it suitable for various face shapes and personal styles. Here’s how to achieve a flattering and versatile short hairstyle with bangs.

Choosing the Right Bangs:

The first step in achieving a flattering short hairstyle with bangs is selecting the right type of bangs for your face shape. For round faces, side-swept bangs can create the illusion of length and balance. Blunt bangs, cut straight across the forehead, can add a bold, edgy vibe to oval faces. For those with heart-shaped faces, wispy bangs can soften the forehead and draw attention to the eyes. Consulting with a hairstylist can help determine the best bang style to compliment your features.

Finding the Perfect Short Cut

It's important to match a short haircut that complements the right bangs. While a bob with straight-across bangs gives a classic and polished appearance, a pixie cut with choppy bangs can give a playful, textured look. Layered short cuts with bangs are perfect for fine wig styles because they add movement and volume. When selecting the cut, take your lifestyle and hair texture into account. Certain styles demand more upkeep than others.

Styling Tips

Styling short hair with bangs can be quick and easy with the right techniques. Use a round brush while blow-drying to give your bangs volume and shape. A flat iron can help achieve sleek, straight bangs or soft waves for a more relaxed look. Texturizing products, such as mousse or pomade, can add definition and hold to your hairstyle. Experimenting with accessories like headbands or clips can also enhance your look and add variety.

Maintenance and Upkeep

Regular trims are essential to keep short hair with bangs looking fresh and well-maintained. Bangs typically need trimming every few weeks to maintain their shape and prevent them from growing too long and obstructing your vision. Using quality hair care products designed for your hair type will also help keep your style in top condition.

Conclusion

Short hair with bangs is a versatile and flattering hairstyle that can suit various face shapes and personal styles. By choosing the right bangs, finding the perfect short cut, and using effective styling techniques, you can achieve a chic and modern look that is easy to maintain. Embrace the boldness and flexibility of short hair with bangs and enjoy a hairstyle that truly enhances your features.

2024.05.21 12:56 cookiejar5081_1 Genuine question about class choices

I've been really curious how other people experience this dilemma. The game currently offers a huge variety in terms of classes and specializations. There's classes that require a lot of skill and there's classes that require less skill to be efficient in Player vs. Player content.
The classes I currently play are generally quite difficult to master. And it's safe to say I've not mastered them. I follow the rotation, but it'll take me a long time to really master that rotation. So I'm investing time in playing this specialization, to master it and make it my own.
On the flipside, you have classes that do a huge amount of damage with very little skill. Have, for example, no rotation or simply consist of roughly 4-5 offensive cooldown. They will even outdamage my class/spec if I did my rotation perfectly.
What makes it so that people don't just drop their difficult, hard to master classes and swap over to something much easier, because it outperforms the class 9 times out of 10 anyway?
(P.S. You may have noticed that I've not mentioned which classes are classified as easy or hard. That's because the WoW community can be ticklish and I really have no intention of stepping on anyone's toes).

2024.05.21 12:49 InevitableOk3697 I firmly believe in my bones that I was not meant to exist, and that if it were possible to undo my existence, I would. No matter what mental state I'm in. But somehow I don't know yet if both of my "selves" think this way.

24F. Diagnosed with Bipolar II, ADHD, and CPTSD. I'm not even sure I can properly explain this because during depressive episodes (right now and for the past 4 months, in fact, though it's gotten marginally better in recent days) I lose a lot of my ability to write coherently, concisely, and accurately about what I'm feeling. The disconnect between emotion and thought has actually gotten so bad I genuinely cannot even journal anymore. (Coming back after finishing to add: this post alone ended up taking me nearly half the day to complete because I kept having to break and come back to it when my brain wouldn't work, and I often thought about giving up entirely lol.) But that's besides the point.
I had a sort of "eureka" moment during a non-depressive state at one point. That being, "This illness is cyclical. It will come back just as surely as it will eventually go away. Next time it comes, don't fight it."
It came back. I haven't been fighting it. I went from feeling immense, active suffering from constant self-hatred and learned helplessness to feeling dissociated and completely disconnected from my own thoughts, both positive and negative. Most moments are spent feeling nothing but irritability and in the moments where I feel something else, I am thoroughly distracted. My days are filled with distraction. The second I have time alone with my brain, I have crying spells that end in pathetic defeat and it's back to dissociation. "I get it. I get it. I wasn't meant to exist. But I am psychologically incapable of ending my life. I'm already here and I can't do anything about it. I have literally no choice but to continue to try."
Good for me for having that barrier to making rash decisions. But now I feel imprisoned by a life I did not choose. A prison of my own making that I am unwilling to break out of because I am just so. tired. I am aware of how much hard work and commitment it takes to live a fulfilling life with these disabilities. I am keenly aware that it is anything but an easy task and in this state it just does not feel worth it. But it is not an act of bravery that I'm still here in the face of suffering. I'm here because I have no choice.
It always comes back to this, and has since one of my first severe depressive episodes at the age of 14: I am too sensitive, too weak, to exist. So much so that I don't think I was supposed to be here in the first place. I do not, and have never cared about doing something "important" with my life. I have never cared about creating a legacy. I have never cared about being remembered. I have never cared about meaning or purpose in the traditional sense; in this state of mind, my purpose is to just exist, let life happen to me, observe carefully, learn, mimic. And in this state, I've realized I use this information as evidence. Confirmation.
At the end of the day, it seems the answer to this hypothetical is always the same. If there was a console with two buttons: one to continue living as is, and one to make it so I never existed at all, I would always choose the latter. Always. Even when things are good, even with all the luck I've had. The unfairness of life coupled with my weak constitution is inherently incompatible. Negative experiences will always feel more powerful, more real, than anything else.
Which brings me to my hypomanic episodes. They tend to involve extreme productivity, usually starting some large project that I spend every waking moment working on, of which there are many considering how poorly I sleep. I have energy and inspiration that simply cannot be funneled into enough things. I am able to "maintain" (these episodes last anywhere from 4 days to about a month) a superhuman-like "schedule" and "routine" that I would otherwise be incapable of adhering to, and would likely outright despise in ordinary circumstances.
But most notably, most of the time, I have a euphoric feeling about the human condition. I obsess over human suffering and our capacity to withstand it. I convince myself that if something catastrophic were to happen at that very moment, I would be resilient and strong in the face of it. That I could be, and would be, like those who can overcome any adversity at all.
But nothing I've ever been through has suggested that is true. Nearly any negative experience can knock me out of any positive or neutral mood and into a kind of dissociative, vegetative depression. My previous baseline state, where I was able to maintain a realistic and beneficial routine and sleep schedule for nearly 2 months, was instantly derailed, pathetically, by the moment I ended up crocheting too much and injured my left hand for a few days.
This one happenstance triggered a depressive state that I've now been in since March. And I tried to prevent it, really I did. I had enough experience practicing good habits by that point that I tried everything in my repertoire to keep it from spiraling. But it did. And now I'm here. I know better than to think I'm resilient. My window of tolerance is embarrassingly low, and I'm sorry that I don't have the will to strengthen it. Mentally, I am still a scared child hiding in the corner of a dark room from any and all real or imagined danger. And until my brain decides otherwise, (because of course mood changes are the nature of this illness), that's how it will stay.
Part of me believes that even my hypomanic self knows this. I don't know entirely how she operates, if I'm honest. So I've decided to conduct an "experiment."
I know she can't fathom how I think the way I do, and similarly I can't fathom how she thinks either. One is always blind to the other. I need to know whether or not, in my heart of hearts, I still say I would undo my existence. Even when everything inside of me is bursting with energy and life and vibrancy. Because instinct says I've always been this way in any state of mind, but I've never proved it.
So I recorded a short video explaining myself to my future hypomanic and even to my baseline self. Maybe I can find some middle ground between us. Because I have to do something. I have no choice but to do something.

2024.05.21 12:47 golden_pikachu Reputation ruined at company but promoted anyway. Not happy in current but easy role.

Hello,
I work for a retail chain where I moved up fairly quickly. I moved to a location that was closer to my home and began working with a person that I got a little too close to.
I should have always kept things professional, but we were soon spending a lot of time together outside of work. This person was cooking for me, making coffee for me at the office, flirting, lots of embraces when no one was around, randomly buying me gifts, making a lot of sexual comments at me, etc.
This relationship tip-toed into almost physical on several occasions, I just couldn't bring myself to go that far at work with fear of losing my job. I felt like I was trying to be seduced at work.
Eventually this person got into a relationship. I cooled things off and stopped giving them any attention or special treatment. Which I admit I was guilty of. They knew how to play me and they got a lot of attention and special treatment. Their behavior became very hot and cold with me.
One day in a ditch to save money, then company decides to slash hours. Easily cutting more than a 100 hours a week from each location. When this person found out, they put in their two week notice but not before disparaging me and ruining my reputation.
Another associate from a different store was working with them on that day. It took me a year to find out but my coworker told the other associate that I was "being creepy", giving them "too much unwanted attention", constantly "buying them things", "stalking them". My coworker had told a few other people in private that they were quitting because there wasn't anymore hours for them. This other store's associate was told that my coworker had to put in their notice and quit immediately cause they feared for their life around me, that I may attack or harm them. This is after me cutting all contact and communication and not seeing this person for several months due to our schedules no longer lining up. I hadn't talked to or even so much as texted this person for months. They conveniently left out all of their parts of the relationship to make things seem one-sided and they were a victim.
Now the other store's associate went back to their store and spread the gossip. It doesn't help that the other location has an immature older lady running the place that still believes she's in highschool. Now this older lady has spread gossip throughout the whole district that I'm creepy, I should be avoided etc. Despite this I've been promoted again. When I need to get coverage from another store, it's almost impossible because everyone has been warned to steer clear of me and my location.
I hate having this stain on my reputation, but I'm very conflicted. The job is decent pay and fairly easy. It's the kind of job you can work maybe 40% of your shift, and the rest is downtime watching TV etc. So in one sense it's very comfy. The benefits and location are also very good.
The one thing I really hate about the job is their hours. The operating hours are now middle of the day and that makes work life balance very difficult. It's one of those jobs where you don't have time to do anything early morning or at night when you get off work.
So do I keep the job and just try to ignore everything. No one from upper management or HR ever came to me with questions, which makes me thing they are just treating it as unfounded rumors and gossip. I honestly can't stand the immaturity of it though. People who I used to be really cool with have turned their backs on me, believing all the gossip and lies.
If I were to quit, I'd have to take a job with more physical labor and less pay, but there is a chance that I'd get better hours. I've worked so hard to achieve a lot at this company and it would suck to have to work my way back up from the bottom again.
TLDR: had a relationship with someone at work, they lied and used it as an excuse to be a victim, ruined my reputation and now I'm unhappy at work.

2024.05.21 12:30 ericsiaa I’m a new mom and I’m miserable and angry

I’ve always wanted to be a mom but this feels nothing like what I always thought it would. Of course I knew I’d be tired but I didn’t realize it would make me so angry. I didn’t realize everything about this whole experience would make me so angry. I’m angry about what I had to go through to have this baby, I’m angry that I have to go through it and my husband doesn’t, I’m mad at myself for going through with this pregnancy and thinking I could do this, I’m angry about how my body looks and feels postpartum and that after 6 months of living in sweatpants and old gym clothes, I’m still living in sweatpants and gym clothes and I feel like a slob and it makes me feel like shit about myself. I’m absolutely PISSED at the number of people making comments about us having more kids, and my husband is among those people making those comments. It fills me with so much resentment towards him when he makes comments about having more kids because it just brings me back to how I have to go through so much physically and mentally to have kids and he doesn’t have to experience any of it. It’s easy for him to demand children when he’s not the one doing all the work. And it makes me angry in general when people ask me about having more kids when I just gave birth literal WEEKS ago. I never want to put my body through this again. I’m so disturbed by my labor experience and it makes me sick to think of the damage done to my body. I used to be pretty active and now the most exercise I get is walking around every day which, surprise, makes me angry. I’ve never hated being a woman until now. I never want to go through this again. I keep seeing women posting pregnancy announcements and all I can think is ‘don’t do it!’

2024.05.21 12:24 Dhegxkeicfns Second Wind Heist, surprisingly skillful

I just rolled a second wind heist on Safe Zone in m3. Got lucky with teammates. -Diego- played like a champ, kudos.
Second wind changes the strategy so much it's like a different game. However, it did not make it stupid, it made it surprisingly strategic and skillful.
We had Spike and Bull banned. Our team got Edgar / Nita / Colt and they got Colette / Sprout(?) / Leon.
Here's how it played out. Edgar jammed it in the jam hole. His whole purpose was to get to the vault ASAP, because he can bypass any defenses they have. Colt and Nita defended hard, their whole purpose was allow nobody below. Once someone gets below it's a waste of time to pursue.
It seems like there's a fine balance between high mobility and high continuous DPS. You can't go all high mobility or they'll take all high DPS and boop your base faster. You can't go all high DPS or they can potentially go split between mobility and DPS/tank/control and have the mobility tagging your base while their DPS/tank/control slows you down.
And that's where Colt shined. Edgar was tagging the base by 10 seconds in. Colt held their team back at the choke point and eventually two of their team wasted time dropping back to kill Edgar. That also gave our team an easy push through.
I thought second wind would dumb the game way down, but it actually made the draft incredibly important and made the first skirmish fundamental to winning. Having Edgar on their vault gave us the luxury of playing Colt and Nita defensively. They tried to sneak their Leon through, but failed. If they had been higher skill they could have swept on the 3v2 push using their brawler advantage over our defensive advantage and if we had been higher skill we could have either wiped them or pushed them back, making it a flanked 3v3, but with them doing no vault damage.

2024.05.21 12:24 idont_knowwattoput I think people over hyped Perfect heart's fight

I already finished the Sunny route, and I wanted to try the hikikomori Route because people said that PerfectHeart was the super boss or something like that, the moment I fought her, I was so scared thinking it'll take me like 10 attempts or something. I ended up beating her first try, it was pretty easy than people make it out to be, I didn't even watch a tutorial or use Kel's nuke, the only thing I did was, Omori>Damage Aubrey>Damage Kel>whole chicken/pizza Hero>Juice recovery/Whole chicken. That's it, I just when with that cycle. If I'm being honest, boss rush was kinda a bit harder than perfect heart, since you have to fight the boss back to back.
Anyone else feels like People over hyped how hard perfect heart is?

2024.05.21 12:22 send_me_jokes_plz I'm under contract! Why am I panicking? How do I make this easier?

My first offer was accepted. I have an amazing loan officer who matched the best rate I could find, my realtor is amazing and pushed everything through very quickly. $265k house, just under 2k square feet, one acre of land, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, appliances included. House is in good shape, clean and well maintained. Septic tank, boiler, water softener, and furnace are all less than 10 years old. Roof will most likely need to be replaced within 5 years. Feels way too good to be true.
I'm going back and forth between pure ecstasy and pure panic. I moved out of my parents house 6 years ago, and haven't moved since, so I'm getting really nervous about the stress of moving. I have 8 months on my lease so I can do it slowly, and will be able to break my lease for pretty cheap once I'm ready, already talked to my landlord about it. Any advice for making moving as easy as possible?
Is there anything I should be aware of during this closing process, or afterwards? Any advice for minimizing costs during it all? 4% down and only $7000 in closing costs, I should have $10k-$15k left over for moving/etc, which is lower than I'd like. I have enough set aside to pay rent for the next 6 months, and my monthly payment with escrow and PMI will be under 30% of my take home pay, after 401k contributions and all that, and I'm a new grad so I'll be looking for better pay once this is all settled. On paper, I think the numbers work out, although I'm not quite sure how much owning a home truly costs. I plan on saving at least 2% of the value each year for repairs/etc, based on what I've seen online.
I feel like all of this worked out too well, that it can't really be this easy. Inspection is later this week, so maybe I'll discover something is totally wrong with the house, but my realtor thinks the sellers just want to retire somewhere nicer as quickly as they can.
Any advice is appreciated, this is terrifying! (:

2024.05.21 12:21 tfrisinger 5 days in Paris trip report

Flying home as I write this.
First don’t sweat the weather in May. We had what looked like 5 days of rain but we didn’t get a drop of rain until the last day. Got cloudy and looked like it might rain here and there but for the most part it was very pleasant weather. Don’t sweat it but pack some options.
Cash/credit. Almost didn’t need a euro. Paid with Apple Pay everywhere - taxis, metro, sites, restaurants, etc. one exception was the artists near sacre couer only took cash. Never needed or asked for a PIN.
Sites. Did all the major sites. Each and everyone now has heavy duty security, metal detectors and even body scanners. This makes it a very slow process to get in. Plan for that.
Arc de triumph was particularly painful when we were there. Eiffel Tower is also very painful due to the queueing at the elevators. Took us 2 hours minimum to get to top and back down. Louvre did a mad dash for the Mona Lisa at 9am and that worked out well with pretty small crowds. Then got to relax and enjoy the rest of the museum.
Funny - by the Eiffel tour you can go see the Olympic countdown clock. Ironically it was showing 101 days to the games when it was only supposed to be 67. Got a picture. It even made the news. Dummies. Makes me question how prepared they are for the Olympics. Hopefully they don’t think they have an extra month of prep time :)
Olympics prep - didn’t impact us in the least. Nothing we wanted to do was blocked by it.
Safety - no issues. Felt perfectly safe late at night, on the metro, Ubers, etc. only saw one clipboard lady at the Eiffel Tower and just walked away.
Trip highlight - Le Calife dinner cruise was amazing. I’ve been to Paris several times before but never did this due to seeming like a tourist trap - which I think most are. This one gets it right. It’s high end food and service on a boat. It was awesome - not cheap though. We were very happy with our front of boat seats. Great way to end the trip. Was from 8pm to almost 11pm.
St. Chapelle was an amazing first for me. Pretty incredible and worth the body scan to get in.
Ubemetro - took the metro to/from sacre couer just to let my son have the experience - it’s very easy to buy tickets and use. Otherwise mostly walked or did Ubers which were quick and plentiful. Official taxi from Cdg to Paris was easy to find - the trip into the city however was very painful and took close to 1.5 hours with the morning traffic.
Food - too much to report. We didn’t have a bad meal anywhere and refreshing to have good service regardless of price.
Recommend an after dinner stroll to a gelato shop every night.
CDG - I was really sweating coming home today with some kind of strike going on which mostly impacted the trains but also some airport staff. Showed up 3+ hours early to CDG but breezed thru security and passport check in under 30mins. Give yourself time but the horror stories seem overblown.
Edit:
Language - almost everyone we came across spoke English to a good degree. We tried our best with French but usually switched to English when they heard our attempts :). I do think a merci here and there is appreciated. We did have one taxi driver with very limited English but we made it work.
Holidays - many French holidays in May. We were there for Pentecost and whit Monday - both seems to be a non event for us and nothing we came across was closed due to this. So hard to tell which holidays are impactful or not for tourists, but this wasn’t one of them.

2024.05.21 12:19 TerriMKozlowski Why It's Important To Understand Your Past Isn't An Indication Of Your Future

People ruminate on the past, who’s wronged them, and the things that are absent from their lives. People imagine past events as though they are still happening now. They use who they were in the past to define their future.
The issue with defining oneself in the present from your past is that it keeps you bound to the past. This self-imposed limitation asserts that everything about your past determines how you will behave in the future. Your future hasn't been written yet. The decisions you make will continue to shape who you can be.
When you are a child of an alcoholic, you learn from a very young age the signs to look for so you aren’t in the line of fire when the next violent episode occurs. And the feared incident always happens. Consequently, you become conditioned to react to these indications.
As an adult, you see evidence that because bad things have happened in the past doesn’t mean more bad things will happen. Not every slurred speech or stumbling from another person will cause harm. Therefore, you can determine that the past doesn’t have to repeat itself.
Although this may take time to realize, it doesn’t have to. You’re shaped by your past. The good news is, you aren’t bound to it. You can move beyond the difficulties of the past and into something far better. The main reason you don’t have to repeat the past is because you can learn from it.
While we cannot predict the future, we will most surely live it. Every action and decision we take - or don't - ripples into the future. ~ Jacque Fresco

Your Mindset Determines Your Future

You often have feelings and attachments to the past. The past can be hard to let go of, and it affects you emotionally. Yet you have a choice to make, an option to choose a different outlook, a growth mindset instead of a fixed mindset.
The fixed mindset is the idea that you believe your attributes and abilities are inherently fixed and can’t be changed. For example, you may think that you’re as smart as you’ll ever be and therefore, that thought process causes you not to even try to learn new things. Since you don’t believe your intelligence can grow with time and experience, then you can’t change, and your future will be the same.
A growth mindset is the exact opposite. This mindset is founded on the conviction that your basic abilities can be cultivated and are malleable. This allows one to grow with enthusiasm, time, and a commitment to improving, learning, and becoming greater than before. With a growth mindset, failures are short-term setbacks, and the process is usually more important than the outcome. So, with a growth mindset, your future is never predetermined. It’s boundless.
The fixed mindset is the most common mindset and the most harmful. So, you need to know which mindset you favor so you can learn from the past and then choose a different future. You can change your mindset just by thinking it through.
The past cannot be changed. The future is yet in your power. ~ Mary Pickford

Reframing Your Past To Better Serve You

Your world is the one you make through your decisions. So is the one you remember from your past. Change the significance of the experiences if what you remember is difficult or negative. Examine the experiences that are preventing you from moving forward and try to see them from a more positive perspective. Reframe your rejection, to believe it was a sign from the Universe directing you to a better place. If you have ever failed at something, consider it a lesson in building resilience for a better future.
Accepting your history serves as a springboard and a means of getting ready for the future once you can no longer imagine a better ending for it. The way you identify who you have been and how you envision who you will be next, combine to form who you are today. Take care of the narratives you accept and write about yourself. Take deliberate steps to embrace the lessons learned from the past and the opportunities that lie ahead.
These are the components of who you are right now. The gifts that make up your current existence have been your experiences. A clear vision for your life is essential, as you attract what you focus on. Your destiny is entirely within your control. Even if you can't control everything in life, you can still do great things if you accept responsibility, grow from your mistakes, and have a clear vision.
There are times in our lives when we have to realize our past is precisely what it is, and we cannot change it. But we can change the story we tell ourselves about it, and by doing that, we can change the future. ~ Eleanor Brown

Everybody Changes; So The Future Will Differ From The Past

As an adult, you have experienced enough of life to see that one constant is change. You grow, circumstances transform, people develop. All of this is observable. Therefore, if everybody changes, then the past can’t indicate the future.
Even those around you that don’t seem to have the desire to grow still change. They are based on the circumstances that occur in their life and by the choices they make. Not making a choice is still choosing, which impacts one’s life that doesn’t allow things to stay the same. Thus, despite a lack of growth, the future will differ from the past.
As you develop, how you perceive the past is altered and reframed. You learn from the past and determine ways to prevent unwanted situations. You make informed decisions and take responsibility for your choices, so that you can move forward toward the goals and dreams. Thus, validating that you are creating a better future than your past.
My aha moment came when I realized my past was holding me back because I allowed it to. I embraced both the idea that I had total autonomy to decide in the present and the reality that I couldn’t change the past, only reframe it. Then I choose to forgive anyone who had wronged me, as well as myself for my previous missteps. And you can make the same choice.
People underestimate their capacity for change. There is never a right time to do a difficult thing. ~John Porter

Making Your Future Better than Your Past

As you have seen, in order to improve your future than your past, believe that it’s possible. This may take a bit of courage to overcome your fears and move towards a growth mindset. Here are some ways to help you with this process.

1. Find Your Tribe To Create The Future You Desire

You may have to cut ties with those people in your life that keep you fixated on negativity. The girlfriend who’s always teasing you about the mistake you made years ago has no bearing on the present, except that it keeps your ego in a place of embarrassment every time she mentions it. The people who remind you of your failings or missteps are focusing on the negativity of the past. You may need to spend less time with these people.
Instead, focus on those people who are encouraging, the ones who are excited for you to try new ventures or take a class. This is your tribe, the ones who look at your best attributes and speak positively to you. They remind you of the successes you’ve had, to inspire you to keep moving forward. Make new friends in the areas that you are growing. It's helpful to have someone learning with you to discuss and problem solve together.
Releasing those people from your life that have a negative influence on you is an important step to safeguarding that your future doesn’t resemble your past. By ensuring that you have people who are positive and encouraging around, you help yourself enlarge the possibilities of a better and boundless future.
When we think we have been hurt by someone in the past, we build up defenses to protect ourselves from being hurt in the future. So the fearful past causes a fearful future and the past and future become one. ~ Gerald G. Jampolsky

2. Let Go Of The Past And Its Attachments

Fear of loss is a common concern, like the anxiety of losing your job and the grief of losing a friend. The harsh reality is that you will lose things and loved ones. It’s the natural course of life. Nonetheless, being anxious about the future or worried about the past does nothing but keep you from being fully present and working towards your goals.
The fear of loss can cause many to stay in a mode of indecision and procrastination throughout the course of their lives. People grow attached to the stuff in their lives. Things like their profession, their prominence, their income, their lifestyle, etc. To pursue a change would mean relinquishing some or these things that are now associated as part of your life. Because of this aversion to loss, many people choose to put their dreams on hold — continuously.
By becoming less attached to the things in your life, you overcome the fear of loss. This enables you to move forward towards your goals and build a better future for yourself.
Attachment leads to jealousy. The shadow of greed, that is. Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose. ~ Yoda

3. Accepting What Is Stops The Struggling

By learning to be thankful for your current situation, one changes the focus from lack to having enough. This is important from a universal perspective. Acceptance for what is allows peace to enter your life instead of feeling you are fighting just to get by.
Part of acceptance is gratitude for everything you have, which includes any hardships, as they’re there for you to learn something. The fastest way through adversity is to ask the Universe what lesson are you to glean from the experience. Then, you have to get quiet and discern how this situation can teach you something about yourself or how you relate to the world around you.
One of the best ways to help you see all the good in your life is a gratitude journal. It’s easy to write a few items each evening that happened during your day, which you are grateful for. They can be things like the beautiful sunrise you witnessed while driving into work or your child passed their math test even though he struggled with the homework. You have things in your life to appreciate, and this is where you need to focus your attention in order to shape the vision you have for your future.
Acceptance doesn’t mean resignation; it means understanding that something is what it is and that there’s got to be a way through it. ~ Michael J. Fox

4. Small Steps Towards A Better Future

Growth and development don’t happen overnight. It takes time. And you want things to happen quickly as you are impatient with yourself. But you need to be kind, give a little self-care and self-love. Pay attention to the incremental steps you take as you grow.
It took me over two years before I could meditate daily. I wanted to, but I had to overcome obstacles within myself in order to accomplish this goal. First, I set the intention to meditate daily, but I had focus issues. So, I had to work on being able to quiet my mind so that I could focus. Once I accomplished that step, I added meditation to my calendar, because if it’s on my calendar, I do it. This entire process could be frustrating, but I focused on each incremental step, not the end result. Now, I wouldn’t begin my day without first meditating.
So, whatever you are trying to accomplish, set up steps along the path so you can have minor victories along the way. This ensures you will continue to move forward even if you run into a time of struggle. Being able to see that you overcame previous difficulties encourages you to continue until you accomplish the goal.
You need to be content with small steps. That's all life is. Small steps that you take every day, so when you look back down the road, it all adds up and you know you covered some distance. ~ Katie Kacvinsky

Remember, You Are Wiser Now

It’s unnecessary for you to continue suffering just because you were taken advantage of or mistreated by others, often by those closest to you. You have the power to decide to quit mentally reliving the past. Actually, more anguish is frequently caused by your mind continuously playing back an awful experience from the past than by the actual incident.
You are no longer required to assume the victim's role. You're a survivor. And you can determine how you interpret negative experiences from your past. It’s the key to your freedom.
Unlike what some people think, you can be remorseful without always punishing yourself for past transgressions. Make the adjustments and move on. I can attest to the liberating nature of forgiveness, having extended forgiveness to my abusive mother. You don't choose to be forgiving of others in order to excuse or justify their actions. You choose to be free through forgiveness.
It's also important for you to accept responsibility for your own missteps. Since nobody is perfect. You don't have to serve a life sentence that you put on yourself in order to make up for the wrongs you did or the poor decisions you made. Treat yourself with self-compassion.
You can choose to see your past as quicksand or a launching pad. It’s up to you to make use of your experiences as a tool or allow them to be used against you.
Close the door on the past. Don’t try to forget the mistakes, but don't dwell on them. You don’t let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space. ~ Johnny Cash

Moving Forward Believing In A Better Future

You have the freedom to decide how much control you wish to have over your present life, regardless of what has happened in the past. Although it’s impossible to undo the past, you can reframe it and decide how to respond to it.
Belief is paramount to being able to do anything. Confidence in your abilities, conviction in your resolve to constantly move forward, and faith that all your work will make your dreams a reality. Maintaining this belief is important, which is why you need to take pride in the victories along the way.
Every disappointment that you overcame, each circumstance you seized, and the individuals that arrived along the way that you recognized were there to help you. All the success along the way helps you maintain the belief that the future is going to be better than your past, because you are creating it every day.
No matter how awful it was, your past does not indicate your future. The decisions and deeds you commit to today will ultimately shape who you become in the future. Decide to take what you've learned from the past and use it in the present to live the life that was meant for you.
Change your life today. Don’t gamble on the future, act now, without delay. ~ Simone de Beauvoir

🔗Coleman Roadtrip 24" Portable Electric Griddle with Folding Steel Legs and Integrated Lid

https://preview.redd.it/htxmtcr99r1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7dec53cffb2d0903bfec3316ad5dd768ea30b06c
Imagine having a portable griddle that you can take on all your camping adventures, effortlessly cooking up a storm of delicious meals in the great outdoors. That's exactly what the Coleman Roadtrip Griddle XLT provides, with its easy-collapsing steel scissor legs that make for a smooth transition from storing to cooking and quick setup.
It's the ultimate companion for your camping needs, featuring a 24-inch cooking surface that heats up to 20,000 BTUs - more than enough to cater to a crowd and evenly heat your food. The smooth, rolled carbon steel griddle cooktop pre-seasoned to prevent rust offers an efficient cooking experience, making it a breeze to clean up afterwards thanks to the removable rear grease tray.
Now, while it's a fantastic piece of equipment for outdoor cooking, it does have a few drawbacks. Its weight and size might pose a challenge when trying to transport it, especially when you're not in the midst of a spacious camping area. Plus, you'll need to dedicate some time and patience to maintaining the griddle after each use – a task that even the most seasoned barbecue enthusiasts might find a bit daunting.
Overall, the Coleman Roadtrip Griddle XLT offers a fantastic combination of portability, versatility, and power, making it the perfect addition to your camping inventory. However, be prepared to tackle some minor challenges along the way, such as its bulkiness and the time-consuming maintenance processes.

I recently took the Coleman Deluxe Camp Grill on a camping trip with my friends. We were excited to try out this grill, as it seemed like a simple and convenient option for cooking over a campfire.
One of the first things we noticed was how sturdy and well-built it was. It's made from nickel-plated steel, which gave us confidence in its ability to handle the heat and the elements. The grill can be used either standing over the flames or laid flat on top of the fire, which was a useful feature that we appreciated.
Now, let's talk about the drawbacks. The grill has two sizes of holes, and we found that the larger ones were too big, causing our burgers to fall through when we were trying to flip them. We also thought it would be better if all the holes were the same size, as it would have made cooking more efficient.
Despite these minor issues, the Coleman Deluxe Camp Grill was a convenient and reliable option for our camping trip. It was easy to transport and fold up flat for storage, which made it a great choice for traveling. Overall, we were happy with our experience using this grill and would recommend it to others looking for a simple and convenient cooking tool for camping trips.

🔗Coleman Fold N Go Portable Grill: Perfect for On-the-Go Cooking

https://preview.redd.it/qp6edj0a9r1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4b06dfea0c3bff8f6e96b5928e1c7f88d9cb6aaa
I recently tried the Coleman Fold N Go Portable Grill, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer for my outdoor cooking adventures. As a busy mom who loves to cook, this little grill proved to be perfect for my on-the-go meals.
The first thing that stood out to me was its built-in handle, which made it incredibly easy to transport and store. The design was compact and lightweight, making it an ideal companion for weekend camping trips or a quick dinner on my deck.
The InstaStart button was a highlight of my experience. Say goodbye to lighting a match or dealing with a lighter – this grill fires up with just the push of a button. Plus, the adjustable horseshoe burner allowed me to have precise temperature control, ensuring my burgers and hotdogs turned out perfectly cooked every time.
However, there were a couple of downsides. The grill wasn't the most durable, with a few users reporting issues with the lid latch. Additionally, the porcelain coating on the grate was not as sturdy as I would have hoped, which made it more challenging to clean up after use.
Overall, the Coleman Fold N Go Portable Grill is an excellent option for those looking for a small, portable grill for their adventures or to use at home. With easy-to-use features like InstaStart and a adjustable burner, this grill makes outdoor cooking a breeze. But, potential buyers should be aware of the durability issues and the need to handle the grill with care.

🔗Compact Portable Coleman Instastart Grill for Outdoor Cooking

https://preview.redd.it/9q9r5nka9r1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=84947834d2eb7c21a79690910fc8b86e5baafc29
The Coleman Instastart Propane Party Grill was designed to bring the party anywhere; with its compact and lightweight design, this grill is perfect for tailgating, camping, or just hanging out in the backyard. One of its highlights is the 8,000-BTU burner control system that offers a perfect touch of heat, whether you're cooking up some steaks or just toasting some marshmallows.
The grill itself is easy to assemble and even easier to clean. The components are dishwasher-safe, making your post-cooking chores a breeze. I especially loved the feature that allows the legs to detach and fit inside the grill for easy storage and transportation.
Despite its many merits, there were a few drawbacks. Firstly, the grill's surface is prone to sticking and food could roll off quite easily. Additionally, the grill's performance varied; in some instances, the heat was unevenly distributed. The grill top, too, was a disappointment; the supplied one was too small and didn't fit properly.
In conclusion, the Coleman Instastart Propane Party Grill is a convenient and portable solution for those who want to grill or cook on-the-go. While it could use a few tweaks, such as a better grill top and even heat distribution, overall it does its job and makes for a fun addition to any get-together.

🔗Coleman Roadtrip Steel Portable Griddle: Versatile, Powerful Outdoor Cooking Solution

https://preview.redd.it/1fmhobra9r1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9d6806264412569f67d2744b5209184d5fe76e23
During my recent camping trip, I decided to bring along the Coleman Roadtrip Steel Portable Griddle, which I had heard great things about for its versatility and ease of use. I was particularly drawn to its 19-inch rolled carbon steel griddle cooktop, as it promised to cook up to 10 hamburgers at once with a whopping 14,000 BTUs of power.
Setting it up was a breeze; the scissor legs folded down effortlessly, and the two sturdy wheels made transportation an absolute cinch. I found the cooking surface incredibly smooth, which made flipping burgers a breeze. The griddle performed admirably, cooking evenly across its surface, much to my satisfaction.
One aspect that stood out, however, was the product's cleanliness. Its smooth surface proved a snap to clean, while the removable grease tray ensured a mess-free experience both during and after cooking.
Despite the initial assembly struggle mentioned by a reviewer, overall, I found the Coleman Roadtrip Griddle to be a fantastic choice for campers and backyard enthusiasts alike. The combination of its easy transport, even cooking heat distribution, and quick start mechanism make it a standout among portable griddles. My only caveat would be its weight, which while not a deal breaker, can make it a tad cumbersome to maneuver alone.

🔗Smokeless Electric Grill by Gotham Steel - Luxurious Grilling Experience

https://preview.redd.it/uy8w6h9b9r1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=85fc336ce039792ba4b244e2017c8fb922be0bc3
I recently tried the Gotham Steel 1619 Smokeless Electric Grill and was thoroughly impressed with its capabilities. Its large size and brown color made it a perfect addition to my kitchen, and it was easy to maneuver around thanks to its lightweight design.
One of the most outstanding features of this grill is its smokeless technology, ensuring that my kitchen was always free of the usual grilling smoke. The electric heating element cooked my food evenly and quickly, while the non-stick surface made cleaning a breeze.
However, there was one downside to this otherwise fantastic grill - its size. While it's great for large gatherings, it can be quite bulky and take up a significant amount of counter space.
Overall, the Gotham Steel 1619 Smokeless Electric Grill is a fantastic kitchen appliance that offers fast, even cooking with minimal mess. Although its bulkiness may be a drawback for some, it's a small price to pay for its impressive performance and ease of use.

🔗Portable Coleman Grill for Camping and Outdoor Adventures

I recently tried out the Coleman Portable Propane Grill during a camping trip, and I have to say, it made cooking in the great outdoors a breeze. I loved how versatile this grill is; perfect for camping, hunting, or tailgating. The heat output was impressive, with 11,000 BTUs of power across the 180 square inch grilling surface.
One of the features that really stood out to me was the PerfectHeat technology. It ensures efficient cooking using less fuel, which is great when you're out in the wilderness. The PerfectFlow technology also shines in extreme conditions, providing consistent performance across all weather scenarios.
Another handy feature was the WindBlock panels that help shield your flame from the wind. However, during calmer days, they fold down easily to serve as side tables. The removable grease management system is also a plus, making cleanup a breeze.
One thing I noticed wasn't perfect was the durability of the grill top. I had heard warnings about it, but mine unfortunately warped after just a few uses. This resulted in it being unable to close properly.
Despite this minor setback, the Coleman Portable Propane Grill proved to be a reliable and convenient companion for our outdoor adventures. It's perfect for creating the ideal meal, anywhere and anytime.

🔗Cuisinart Smoke-Less Contact Griddler: Versatile Indoor Griller for Delicious Grilled Meals

https://preview.redd.it/h3r3vexb9r1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bd762ff30dc9809ce07d5e038cd024531705a028
I recently had the pleasure of using the Cuisinart GR-6S Contact Smoke-Less Mode Griddler in my own kitchen. Honestly, it brought a whole new dimension to my indoor grilling game. The smokeless feature made grilling indoors a breeze without filling my apartment with smoke.
One of the first things I noticed was the adjustable temperatures. It made it incredibly easy to get the perfect sear on my steaks, evenly brown my pancakes, and cook each dish to perfection without overcooking or undercooking. The LCD display and digital controls were quite user-friendly and made selecting the desired temperature a snap. Yet, there was a bit of a learning curve in the beginning.
Now, the highlight of the Griddler was the DuoControl Heating Advantage. I could independently control the temperature on the upper and lower plates. I used this to cook a variety of dishes like fish, poultry, and veggies. However, it did require some trial and error to figure out the ideal temperatures for each dish.
I also loved the removable drip tray and the nonstick dishwasher-safe plates. Cleanup was a breeze, which was a great thing considering how much I used the griddler. The capacity was fairly small, but as I said, it was made to handle a couple of sandwiches at a time.
However, there were a couple of issues. Firstly, the bottom plate didn't cook evenly when both the top and bottom had the same temperature. To fix this, I had to play around with the temperatures to get the right results. Also, the cooking surface was quite small, but considering its compact design, it made sense.
The construction was sturdy and, in fact, exceeded my expectations. The silver color made it a great addition to my kitchen, adding a certain visual appeal. The appliance held up well against daily use, proving to be quite durable. However, the design was a bit of a challenge to understand right out of the box.
Overall, I found the Cuisinart GR-6S Contact Smoke-Less Mode Griddler a joy to use. It added a touch of innovation to my grilling routines and was a great addition to my kitchen appliances collection. Even with its minor flaws, it certainly delivered in terms of quality and performance.

🔗Brookstone IndooOutdoor Electric Grill for Charcoal-Free Cooking

https://preview.redd.it/is0c5pbc9r1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2c7c2e448950a636427cb8cc52042f963aaf93b2
I recently had the opportunity to try out the Brookstone Indoor, Outdoor Electric Grill. It's been great as a home grilling solution since it doesn't require charcoal or propane. My first time using it, I grilled some chicken, and the flavors just popped.
The two heating zones provided precise temperature control, allowing me to achieve that authentic grilled taste. However, I found the cleanup process a bit challenging as grease collected in the drip tray, making it a hassle to keep everything clean. Regardless, the grill's stainless-steel design and sleek outdoor cover made it a worthwhile addition to my outdoor cooking setup.

🔗Portable Coleman Gas Grill for the Ultimate Grilling Experience

https://preview.redd.it/9s8q3ixc9r1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5d281a7be71b37ac8e6456512c0dc2d8171eea02
I recently tried out the Coleman PerfectFlow InstaStart Gas Grill for a weekend camping trip. It was a breeze to set up, and with just a push of a button, the grill was up and running in no time. The convenient matchless lighting system really stood out to me, as it made starting the grill a hassle-free experience.
One of the biggest pros of this grill is its durability. The steel-crafted body is tough and can withstand various outdoor elements without any issues. Plus, on those calm days, the shields fold down as side tables, providing extra work space.
However, I did encounter a few cons during my time with the grill. Firstly, the drip tray wasn't the most effective. It seemed to catch grease well but can be a bit messy to clean. Secondly, the grill plate occasionally caused some difficulty in achieving an even cook.
Despite a few minor drawbacks, the Coleman PerfectFlow InstaStart Gas Grill has proven to be a reliable companion for me on my camping trips. So, if you're looking for a portable, convenient, and durable grill for your outdoor adventures, this might just be the one for you.

I recently tried out the Hamilton Beach IndooOutdoor Grill and was quite impressed by its performance. This grill was a game-changer in my household as it allowed me to enjoy juicy, flavorful grilled meats without having to step outside in the elements. The nonstick cooking surface was a standout feature as it made cleanup a breeze, unlike my old grill that could be a hassle to clean.
One of the things that stood out the most was the temperature control. It made it super easy to adjust the heat to my liking, ensuring that my food was perfectly cooked every time. The even heat distribution was also noticeable - no more burnt burgers or overcooked steaks!
However, there were a couple of drawbacks I encountered. Although it's compact and portable, it took a little longer to heat up compared to my outdoor grill. Additionally, some users have mentioned issues with the grill's durability, but I haven't experienced any problems myself yet.
Overall, the Hamilton Beach IndooOutdoor Grill is a fantastic product that has made an excellent addition to my kitchen. Its easy-to-clean features, exceptional temperature control, and even heat distribution make it a worthwhile investment for any grilling enthusiast.

I recently tried out the Coleman PerfectFlow Portable Camp Propane Grill/Stove, and I must say, it has been a game-changer during my camping trips. The ability to use it as both a stove and a grill at the same time is such a convenient feature.
One thing that really stands out is the wind block system. It ensures that the burners aren't affected by wind, which is a common issue when cooking outdoors. The propane pressure control technology also makes sure that the cooking surface generates up to 10,000 BTUs of cooking power.
However, there are a few downsides. The non-stick surface, while easy to clean, can sometimes be a bit tricky to handle while cooking. Additionally, the dimensions might be a bit bigger than expected, so it could take up more space than anticipated.
Overall, I've had a positive experience with the Coleman PerfectFlow Portable Camp Propane Grill/Stove. It's a reliable and versatile option for those who love camping and cooking outdoors.

A Coleman Tabletop Propane Gas Camping 2-in-1 Grill/Stove 2-Burner Gray has been my go-to grilling companion during recent camping trips. The convenience of cooking multiple meals simultaneously while occupying minimal space is truly a game-changer.
The best aspect of this grill is its versatility - it enables me to whip up a quick skillet meal or sear some burgers all at once, making it a perfect companion in the kitchen. Additionally, the grill surface fits a 10-inch pan, providing ample room for larger dishes.
However, I did encounter a minor inconvenience with the stove's design. The stove surface cannot accommodate a larger pot, rendering it unsuitable for preparing larger meals.
Overall, I am pleased with the Coleman Tabletop Propane Gas Camping 2-in-1 Grill/Stove 2-Burner Gray, as it has significantly streamlined my camping cooking experience. Despite the limitation with the stove's surface, its versatility and functionality make it a valuable addition to my camping gear.

The Coleman NXT 200 Portable Grill has been my trusty companion for countless camping trips and backyard barbecues. Its 20,000 BTUs of cooking intensity and 321 square inches of grilling space make it perfect for cooking up a storm, whether you're making burgers for the whole family or whipping up a quick meal on the go.
There are a few aspects of this grill that really stand out in my experience. First and foremost, its durability is top-notch. It's been with me through wind, rain, and snow, and it still performs like a champ. The materials used in its construction are of the highest quality, ensuring that it can withstand the elements and remain functional for years to come.
However, there are a couple of things that could use some improvement. One major drawback is the size and weight of the grill. It can be a bit of a struggle to transport it, especially if you're on your own. It's not exactly a lightweight option, so be prepared for a bit of heft when you're moving it from place to place.
Another area where this grill could use some work is the availability of accessories. Some users have reported difficulty in finding certain attachments, like the griddle, which can limit the versatility of the grill. It would be great if there were more options available for those looking to expand their cooking capabilities.
Overall, the Coleman NXT 200 Portable Grill is a reliable and powerful grill that has served me well in a variety of situations. It's a bit cumbersome to transport and accessory availability can be hit or miss, but if you're in the market for a dependable and efficient grill, this one fits the bill.

2024.05.21 12:17 Overall-Sandwich4697 Walking in a fog daily

Hi everyone, I am writing in the group for the first time because I need to see if anyone here is experiencing the same thing as me. So basically, I was diagnosed with Chronic CPTSD few months ago, with underlying BPD and ADHD symptoms. I am currently taking Cymbalta (mostly for fibromyalgia) and tryptizol (for my insomnia) and also doing EMDR weekly for the 4months.
So basically, my therapist introduced me to many techniques to deal with panic attacks and dissociation that is combined with body paralysis. The techniques are mostly journaling, meditation, diet, tapping and visualizations (happy place, etc).
But my issue is that even with the meds, the therapy and techniques and I still most of the time inside my brain, walking in a thiccc fog. Like I am not able to properly identify my emotions or my triggers. Every time I try to focus inside my head I just keep bumping against an invisible wall or just walking in nothingness…
I don’t understand how to process properly, I feel just lost inside of me and that makes lost in real life.
I tried expressing this to my therapist today but she told me I am just being harsh on myself and I should take it easy.. but it doesn’t reply to my interrogation : Is it normal to be like this inside your brain? What does it mean?
Like even the usual little nasty voice is not there anymore. It’s just emptiness.

2024.05.21 12:16 Abyss_Renzo Stellar blade combat

Hey, I wanted to hear more from other players. I’m epileptic, so I play all games on easy. I’ve heard great things about this game. I can only think of the last example of a game that gave me seizures and that was the God of War reboot. Maybe I was playing it too long though. Soul Calibur also gave me serious issues. I avoid games like Dark Souls cause I know the combat is heavy. Still I got Elder Ring on my radar, cause it’s not as hectic and there’s even a mod to make the combat easier.
My question is, is the combat really hectic like a dark souls game or as I said God of War? Of course rest after a time of combat can be helpful. How difficult are the bosses. Any answers would be appreciated.

This will be my first time seeing them live and I'm already so excited. I have a feeling I will ugly cry through the whole ritual haha. I got standing tickets so I'd love to know how soon I should go there if I want to be in the front and if there's something I should know of before I attend on it. I was thinking about making bracelets as well, I saw many people do this and I absolutely love the idea. Also I wonder if there is anyone from here who is coming to that concert.
