Hi, I’m looking for the English dub for the brazillian cartoon “Zica e os Camaleões” (Zica and the Chameleons). It was aired and licensed by Nickelodeon Brazil in 2014, and TV Brasil from 2014 to 2017.
"Zica is a 14-year-old teenager who feels black and white in a colorful world. Zica seeks to assimilate the transition period she is experiencing through her art: she draws, writes and composes songs with her band formed with her best friend Gui and drummer Batata. When she is alone in her room, she usually talks and reflects with her three pet Chameleons. The episodes are divided between the "real world" in which she lives, the "creative world" that takes place in her room, and a video clip at the end of every episode." (Translated from the portuguese Wikipedia article about the show).
A fully dubbed episode 7 along with an english promo for the show was posted on the official Vimeo account for Cinema Animadores, the production company for the show. You can find those here and here. I couldn’t find any info about the voice actors or the company.
More info: The show was created after a short pilot aired on Anima TV 2010, a brazillian project organized by the government focused on highlighting and producing brazillian animations. There’s a brazillian article that mentions that the show was featured in an online version of a "Variety" magazine. Its official international release was done after MIPCOM in 2015, a french event to buy and sell new television shows for international distribution. It didn’t have a huge reception in Brazil as far as I’m aware (most people say it got cut short because of that), so it’s probably lost to time. I’ve tried e-mailing the production company for the show about it, still waiting for a response.

 I remember when Busta Rhymes first stepped on the scene in the 90’s. He was high energy, fast flow and sounded different than a lot of other hit tracks at the time. I’m from the south and like southern rap and he was a northern rapper I could get down with. However, I didn’t listen to him much at all throughout the 2000’s and early 2010’s. He just didn’t put out anything I wanted to make an effort to find, buy or ask to hear. I wasn’t hearing him being played by anyone anywhere else I went either though. Cut to today’s Busta and I’m Lovin it! I think he’s worked on his flow, bars, etc. most of what he’s dropped in the past 5 years is 🔥 in my opinion. I really am interested to know what the rest of his listeners think bout him, THEN to NOW?? 

With the prioritization of the 3-point shot, eFG% has been decent indicator of success. Every finals team in the last 15 years has had a top 5 eFG% with the exception of the following teams:

As you go back further, there were several other teams outside the top 5, but this was because teams did not shoot as many 3’s and defense was a larger indicator of which team was superior. Most of those teams had top 5 defenses.
I also like eFG% over TS% because typically the finals winner is one that averaged less FTA than their opponent over the regular season. The only teams in the last 15 seasons that have averaged more FTA per game than their finals opponent during the season were the 2013 Heat, 2019 Raptors and 2021 Bucks. All of these teams experienced the thinnest of margins from elimination (Ray Allen Game 6, Kawhi Game 7 shot, KD toe on the line). It is usually the team that is less reliant on free throws that benefits when referees swallow their whistle in the playoffs.
The only team in the last 25 years to make the finals with an eFG% outside the top 5 and not have a top 8 defense was the 2006 Dallas Mavericks. The last instances of a team outside the top 5 in eFG% winning the finals over a team that was top 5 were the 2010 Lakers over the Celtics, and the 2000 Lakers over the Pacers.
So why is this relevant? Here are the 4 remaining teams and their eFG% ranking

• Celtics (1st-tied)
• Pacers (1st-tied)
• Mavericks (8th)
• Timberwolves (10th)

This means we are guaranteed to have a Top 5 vs Non-Top 5 finals.
And while the Timberwolves have the #1 ranked defense, the Mavericks defense ranked #17th this year.
On top of this, the Wolves and Mavericks both averaged more FTA than the Pacers and Celtics during this season. This is pretty much summed up to the East teams love to play from the perimeter and in transition, and are really good at it.
While the Mavericks did make mid-season trades that improved their defense, it will be an interesting contrast of styles with the Wolves, and would be one of the more rare championship teams in history with no MVP, no DPOY, and a statistically average defense and 3P% shooting team on the year.
The Wolves would also be in rarified air, with a team led by a 22-year old star in just his 4th year, something we’ve only seen in recent history that can be comparable to Dwyane Wade in 2006 leading his team to a title in his 3rd season.
Either way, one of these teams will get their shot at a title.

I vaguely remember it being an indie game around maybe the early to mid 2010’s, the UI was very social media based, ala Facebook, and you’d play a resident on a spaceship who was eventually tasked with scoring an expensive ticket to get off the ship.
I want to say you could work to get it? But a heavy emphasis was based on dating a richer resident who would get one for you. IIRC the company that made it had a more successful game out at the time and I happened to find it when I wanted to seek more games by them.

Flying from Stanstead into Turin in september, and after spending 2 days in the city (without a car) heading back to the airport to pick up a car to head to the Aosta Valley for the remainder of the trip. I’m a lorry driver in the UK, so I’m experienced, but when I go abroad and drive I worry myself to death before I go. I was fine in Iceland, that was easy, and I was OK in Tenerife once I got used to the idea that rules don’t seem to mean anything, but I don’t know what to expect from Northern Italy, I’ve got my head round driving on the right pretty well, and I’ve never had a car that wasn’t a manual, so that’s fine… but when I lived in Turin 20 years ago I remember italian roads being completely mental (I didn’t drive back then) I’m an absolute stickler for rules, and worry horribly about breaking them… what can I expect, with comparison to british roads and rules?

In 2010, LGBT charity Stonewall created a 90 minute full film about coming out and distributed across UK schools. It is the funniest film i have ever seen. If you’re from outside the US the attempts at a london “chav” accent alone will make the film but pair it with hilarious lines uncomfortably outdated terminology and actors playing characters that they are way too old to play and it becomes the perfect film.
It follows a class of troubled kids in a poor london area who are forced to take a dance and drama class together and students who are queer have to interact with students who are homophobic but the way homophobia is presented is terrible even in the context of pre- gay marriage britain.
I was made to watch it when i was 14 but the whole film has been uploaded to youtube where i have watched it maybe 10 times and references from this film have been in my friend groups for the 5 years since. This film deserves way more attention.

Hellooo this is my first ever reddit post pls forgive my limited knowledge of reddit 🤗 Been a Marina fan since 2012!
Was just listening to Jealousy by Marina and realised… Dua Lipa had an unreleased song of the same name and the beat is very similar! Marina did say in the past that her version of jealousy wasn’t going on her album and that she hoped another artist picked it up. That was about 2010 I think? Fast forward to 2020 and a song titled jealousy by Dua has surfaced. But only now in 2024 have I realised they sound quite similar… don’t think it’s possible Dua picked it up? I checked the credits and they are both produced by different people. Maybe she had taken it and re-worked it into her version? It’s a very strange coincidence given they have basically the same drum stem beat 😨

I love Scooby Doo and have watched it since I was a kid. I mostly watch where are you and what’s new over and over & the first 2 live actions & the animated movies 2010 & before, stuff from those eras. I do enjoy a pup named Scooby doo and the collection called “the new Scooby doo movies”

There seems to be people believing Terrence Howard that he owns patents, or worse that a patent is proof of anything. I will debunk the former below, as for the latter, I encourage those to consider peer reviewed publications as patents are simply legal documents quite often invalidated in Court.
Quick patent 101: A patent is an exchange wherein a country or jurisdiction (i.e., the EU) provides a monopoly to an inventor who discloses their invention to the public. The incentive for inventors is the monopoly; the incentive for the government is that the disclosure of the invention is intended to further and better innovation.
Patents are jurisdictional. You have to apply in each jurisdiction where you want a patent. If you want a patent in the US, then the USPTO must grant you a letters patent. Each jurisdiction will have its own requirements for a patent, but generally speaking, the invention must be patentable subject matter, novel, non-obvious, and useful. The patent must also properly instruct the public on how to use the invention. There are other formalities, but those are the overarching principles of patent law in most jurisdictions. These requirements must be met to obtain a patent.
Anyone can apply for a patent claiming anything. The patent application is published after a certain waiting period, generally 18 months. This patent publication is NOT a patent; it is a record and publication of the application. Until a patent office grants you a patent, you do not have a monopoly.
The patent office will then examine the patent application and either issue the granted patent on the first pass or issue an office action. An office action is the examiner’s critique of the patent. For example, the examiner may say the invention lacks novelty or utility. The applicant then has an opportunity to argue and convince the examiner they are incorrect, or amend the application so that it no longer lacks novelty or utility. Okay, now that that is out of the way, what patents is Terrence Howard talking about?
Search patents.google.com for Terrence Howard as the inventor. The results will show someone by the name of Terrence Dashon Howard who applied for three patents:
In 2009, an application for “Diamond jewelry”.
In 2010, an application for a “Diamond earring with washer”.
In 2010, an application for a “System and method for merging virtual reality and reality to provide an enhanced sensory experience”.
First, note that these hyperlinks go to patent application publications. These are not patents. This is the application that Terrence Howard submitted.
Second, all three applications were abandoned for failure to respond to office actions. All three applications failed to meet the USPTO’s requirements for a patent. I note that his representative attempted to respond to the office actions regarding the jewelry applications but ultimately failed to succeed. The VR patent was subject to a lengthy office action, and he failed to respond to that single office action. His attorney also withdrew, which should rarely occur. I would surmise he was not responding to the attorney, and/or paying fees. This information is public and available from the USPTO's Patent Center.
Unsurprising to no one, no patent has ever been issued to Terrence Howard.
In conclusion, Terrence Howard applied for three patents in the US only, and each application failed to result in a patent. He has zero patents.
Edit: He may have filed patents under T. Dashon Howard. Some of which have been granted. Therefore, he may own patents, but if so, then now I need to explain why that's not proof of anything scientific lol. Thanks to whoberman for pointing out the T. Dashon patents.

I’m writing a fic set in Virginia,USA and the situation is that the character has to make coffee. Also the year is 2010. As I’m not from USA, I wonder what kind of stoves did people use for cooking at the time. Gas stoves? Induction stoves? It’s a bit trivial but it advances the plot and I’d really hate it if I get writers block again for this silly stuff. Help a fellow fanfic writer would ya. I’ll be very grateful.

I remember watching some kind of anime series or movie on Netflix and don’t exactly remember what the title was or what the main premise was. All I remember is at some point in the story there was some kind of chemical/gas attack in a building full of people by a terrorist group. These terrorists were wearing gas masks too. There was also some female character that has a computer geek/hacker who had a setup inside of a van (maybe a police/surveillance van). I think she had glasses on and was pretty good on the computer. That’s all I could really remember. Can someone offer some help?

I’m leaving this Saturday for my trip to Iceland, I’ll be there from May 26th through June 11th. I feel like I’ve done a good amount of research and looking at others posts in this thread for my trip planning. But now that it’s coming down to it I want to have someone else take a look for any glaring issues with it.
This is my first trip to Iceland and abroad in general, so there’s a good amount of nerves and excitement. For this trip I’ve rented a camper van for myself to do ring road with. It’s a bit more of a whimsy trip so if I see or hear about something I’ll check it out if it’s feasible, but I’ve got my base plan of what I want to do.
I’ve done most of my planning in Google My Maps as I was able to put each days stuff in a layer, but it had to be split into two maps due to layer limits. All the things in purple were my must sees and most of the hikes are things I want to do. Blues are things I would like but don’t mind skipping, most of it is blue. And the few oranges are things I could absolutely skip but if I have time i could stop. I’ll link those here and here
The only other notes are that I’ll also be stopping for some groceries on the first day as well. And the last couples days that aren’t in the map, the 14th day I have an appointment with a tattoo artist in Reykjavik and then spend the rest of the 14th and 15th day checking out the city. Then the 16th day I will be returning my camper and then taking a bus to the blue lagoon, I’ve heard it’s overrated but I felt like I have to do it at least once. And I know it’s iffy due to the recent volcanic activity so I’m playing that one by ear a little more. And then after that walking around and staying in a hotel in Keflavik then leaving the following morning.
