2024.05.21 12:20 Cautious_Security_68 I think it’s time

Ever since the last few revelations about the heart discipline, I’ve had this strong sense of just starting to go after these purveyors of falseness, false living false rule false news from a heart level and just going that way. I think it’s time that you know once we once we realize that the truth is that we are a divine invest if not, infinite good heart we start bringing these people to heal above us. They hold themselves above us on their capacity thing either deluded or intentionally I’m filing up the hearts and mines of the world so they need to be called on the carpet and if you watch the kingdom video, that’s the part where they go up into this end of the sky and they start blasting all these puppets down to the ground

2024.05.21 09:40 Saintly009 26 [M4F] Christian man seeking Christian woman #Washington #Online

I'm told women want a man who knows what he wants, so here's the whole nine yards. If there is anything here that you are not willing to accept, then don't. You will not change me now or years down the line. Obviously I intend to grow and mature (as one ought to), but I have decided who I am and what I want out of a relationship.
I am looking for a woman that I can make a permanent covenant bond with; I have no interest in flings or "long-term relationships."
I don't intend to come across as bitter or angry with any of this, just clear and up-front. It makes things easier for both of us.
A bit about me:
My faith in Christ is paramount in my life. I would not be where I am without him. In taking interests in various things, I've learned a lot about God's character and design. Each new thing I learn fills me with more worship of him and wonder at his works. It is very important to me that you share this admiration of God.
I have a full-time job that I am very satisfied with, but what I feel truly passionate about is art and storytelling. To be honest, I've hit a bit of a block lately as far as my output. But I've been trying to find my feet so I can make something valuable to share with the world. I think that art and stories are a fundamental part of being human, not just a luxury. So pretty much any kind of art will spark passion in me, be it music, cinema, video games, literature, video essay, sculpture, etc. I could go back and forth for hours on a lot of things. My hope is that you and I will be able to enjoy art together and create some of our own.
I frequently spend time with another gentleman from my Church and we enjoy conversations about personal projects and contemporary issues, along with walks along beaches and park trails. He is a very important friend in my life, and I am lucky to know such a kind soul. Things aren't well with my family, so I really need that kind of presence.
While I rely on my bicycle for transport (no car), it's not a problem for me. I've been riding bikes since I was in elementary school (maybe even before). It would be really nice to ride down some trails with you.
What I expect from you:
-You need to be a follower of Jesus Christ. God needs to be an active part of your life because I intend to raise our children under Biblical values.
-You need hobbies and interests apart from me. I'm fine with helping you find things you like.
-You need to have no mileage.
-You must be humble and respectful. "Boss babe" attitudes are not attractive to me.
-You cannot have any tattoos or piercings.
-No cosmetic products. It's not good for your body and I am attracted women, not makeup. This includes fake nails and fake eyelashes. I don't need you to look "pretty." You character is more important to me.
-Related to the previous, no use of image filters in photos. I do not like the type of people who are vain and vapid enough to feel the need to use filters on their photos.
-Again related to the previous, you need to have a limited social media presence. If you have a business or post something of value (like art, for example), then I have no problem. What I'm talking about is having an Instagram or Facebook account where you make random posts to nobody in particular to "update" the internet on your life or post tons of pictures of yourself online. Basing your self-worth on the comments and likes from strangers on the internet is unhealthy, and I find people's obsessive need to take pictures of themselves very unattractive and vain.
-If we marry, I expect you treat me as the head of the house. There can't be two leaders in a household because one will have to submit to the other.
-I expect you to view marriage as something that you put work into. Marriages are a team effort, so I expect you to be a help meet.
-You need to treat me like a partner, not an adversary. Getting into arguments and nagging me helps neither of us. You must have conflict-resolution skills and a solution mindset.
-You need excellent communication skills. This means understanding yourself, putting your thoughts into words other people can understand, and verbalizing things rather than expecting me to read your thoughts.
-You cannot play games with me. Telling me about other guys to make me jealous or planning dates for specific days to pressure me into committing to you are wicked and manipulative.
-While we are dating, you cannot have a "backup plan." I expect you to not be splitting your attention between me and other men. This includes spending time outside of work with other men (family excluded).
-You must be in shape. Don't be dishonest with yourself about your weight; check your BMI. This includes being underweight, anorexic, and bulimic.
-You cannot have taken any COVID-19 vaccinations from any provider.
-No smoking, drugs, or drunkenness.
-I expect you to completely renounce fast food if we date or marry. We will never feed our children McDonald's.
What you can expect from me:
-While we are dating, I will not be speaking to other women.
-I cannot meet your height, money, or attractiveness expectations. I am simply an average dude. I am critical, abstract, and imaginative in my thinking though.
-I will not ask you to do something that is unreasonable or demeaning. I will only ask of you what I expect from myself. No relationship is going to be 50/50 100% of the time, but I will put forth the effort I am able to. I expect the same out of you.
-I will not raise my hand against you. My hands will be a safe place for you.
-I will be available to listen to your troubles and help you bear through them.
-I will not demean you or humiliate you, whether or not you are in the room.
-I will show leadership in our house and exercise restraint with a mild temper.
-I will cherish you and treat you as my own body.
-I will devote myself to displaying my love for you in a language you understand, even if I am feeling distant from you because of troubles we face. I expect the same from you.
-I will not turn to another woman and betray you.
-I intend to keep every promise that I make with you.
-I will treat our children with patience and kindness, but diligently discipline them and instruct them appropriately.
Please tell me a bit about yourself and what you expect out of a relationship, but be practical and clear. A list of platitudes like "loyal, honest, etc" does not help me understand what you're looking for. Think about what your expectations look like in a tangible, everyday way.

2024.05.21 05:54 Clear-Number-2083 False-ish Accusation? (CA)

I need advice on a sexual harassment claim in California.
Acronyms: CL: claimant, SM: shift manager, AC: accused. Claimant is a female employee, accused is a male General Manager. Shift manager was witness. I'm leaving out all non-essential interviews and witnesses for an attempt at brevity.
CL is working a shift alone with AC. Midway through their shift, CL texts SM that she is uncomfortable working alone with AC. She tells SM that AC said he wanted to kiss her. SM tells CL to clock out and go home, which she does. This was reported to me by another GM from a different store, CL did not make a formal accusation until the interview.
Interview with CL: she states AC has been making her uncomfortable for a month. States he has asked her on a date, has sent her home early for not agreeing to kiss him, has touched her on her legs. She says she has repeatedly told him that she's uncomfortable. After leaving her shift early on Sunday she says he called her to say he's cutting her hours since she won't acquiesce.
Interview with SM (witness): he states CL and AC are both very flirty and playful with one another. Says CL started calling the AC inappropriate pet names 2-3 months ago. It is apparently widely joked about amongst all the staff including CL & AC. He says the rumors were getting pretty bad. Then over the last 2 weeks he says CL reported to SM on 2 occasions that she was not comfortable alone with AC. SM has not witnessed AC displaying intimidating, "creepy," or threatening behavior. (No answer provided on why he didn't report this sooner.)
Interview with AC: at first he tried denying everything including the flirting, despite being made aware that we are interviewing all witnesses. After explaining the severity of the situation he speaks up. He hands over screenshots of their text messages going back more than a month, and admits he messed up pretty bad by engaging in this with her but he doesn't think he harassed her. He denies threatening to cut her hours.
The text messages: She is saying she loved how soft his lips were when they kissed, that she was sad he regretted doing that (they were in the store apparently). He says he respects her decision if she says no to dating him, and it will not affect their work relationship. She is saying she wants them to try dating but no one at the store can know. Then she asks him to fill out an application for an apartment for her (just her, not the two of them). She sends him the application and asks him to return it to her completed with his information.
I requested text exchanges for the same date range from CL, but she declined to provide any.
AC will be disciplined with a final written warning for misconduct, plus he'll need to complete additional anti-harassment training. Termination is not being considered at this time.
What about CL? What, if any, disciplinary action should be taken here? Her claims have been largely, but not entirely, proven false. I believe something happened during their shift but neither of them is giving me the full story. At her request, she has been moved to a different store.
Here's where my problem lies: despite repeatedly being instructed not to, she continues to text AC and show up at his store asking to return to work there. She has gone to every employee in the store to discuss her interview with me, I have video and witness testimony proving it. How would you address this with her?

2024.05.21 04:29 featherwinglove Tightniks Run One: You Probably Should Go...

[Run Zero chapter: https://redd.it/1csb71x not every run will have a chapter; it won't be long before there are multiple runs per chapter.]
Portal load: Agility 1, Bait 3, Trumps 1, Pheromones 1, Packrat 1, Motivation 1, Power 2, Toughness 2, Looting 5, Discipline Challenge, 54 of 54 He allocated, 7.8% AP at start.
[This is probably the lowest helium load I've ever done, and sorta keeping my own advice on a recent Reddit post, Bait and Looting are up. Especially Looting, but it's not like I don't always do something like this.]
The human emerges from the glowing green mist and hits the ground. Groans. Pushes against that ground, trying to get back up. I feel really heavy. I'm not that fat, am I? He's got a dark blue button-down shirt on. A uniform? A shoulder patch. Rolls over- Ah, what's that? His shoulder pressed into something hard and metallic, He reaches over and his hand naturally seems to find a folding handle. He pulls it out from under himself and gets it up on his chest, sort of in a semi-comfortable position to hold it up and look at the screen while lying on his back. Some fiddling around the edges gets the power button pressed and the screen lights up with:
"Manual portal activation 1 successful: Void enabled. / 54 He loaded / Discipline challenge active / Total portal activation 955"
"Kakka," its one of his trimps.
'My' trimps? The human sets aside the portal pad and gets up.
Are you the guy? They all seem to be looking at him, as though they have a frickin' huge problem to solve and they need his help to solve it.
32s: First trap.
Do you bite? It doesn't matter much to us. The trimps look hopefully up at him through the trap's grating, We're so friggin' screwed.
I didn't think four of you could fit in there! He opens it and they all start following him around like imprinted hatchling birds. It seems his tactic of making a catch-alive trap confirmed to them that he was 'the guy' to help solve whatever problem...
26m42s: Z2c15, 58 pop, 7.7s RC with Z1/2; 29m44s: Fresh turkimp c25.
"Hey, buddy," he says to his first scientist, "can you speak yet?"
"Shijou?" it says, then it starts writing, "Hi Tightniks."
"Who do you mean 'Tightniks'?" he asks, "I mean, it's not like I remember my own name, but what makes you think it's Tightniks?"
"Tai," it points right at him with one paw.
"Just pointing at me isn't going to answer that," he chuckles.
The trimp's hands are quite prehensile, but it's hard to tell without it holding something, they don't seem able to make their fingers visually distinguishable. [Puchim@s all the puchidoru, although some have big round hands and some have small pointy hands; Takanya is the latter. Probably Final Fantasy Red XIII as well, but I'm not familiar enough with him to be satisfied.] This one starts climbing up his leg.
"Wait, wait," he stops it. It's a challenge to stoop in this gravity, but not as much of one as carrying a trimp. He gets down on his knees and back on his haunches and-
"Tai," it points again to a spot on his chest just left of his heart, then climbs on his lap and grabs his uniform at that spot, "Tai!"
He looks down and sees "Tightniks" embroidered into the fabric above his pocket. "Ah," he sighs, "Well, if that's my name, that's my name."
"Shijou," it gives him a friendly whack on the shoulder.
2h38m55s: Mskel in Z11c3.
"Hey guys?" Tightniks points at his bone box, waving his finger, "Does anyone remember where these came from?"
"Nope," the yellow one says.
"Yeah, there are 12 more in here than we got kills to account for," Tightniks says.
"I've been getting a sense of deja vu about just about everything," the red one points at the metal box on the strap over his shoulder, "That's a big exception. Any clues there?"
"It says it's for something called a DT Experimental Industries Time Portal," the human shrugs, "I have no idea what it's talking about, honest."
3h25m46s: Block PB, 0.3% AP sub-4h, 540 pop, 8.3s RC, no turkimp
That thing is beeping? He takes a look at his TPCS pad and he's got a message saying that he finished the Block in under 4 hours and there's a little attack bonus- Under 4 hours? It's been over 4 days!! Checking the time on the device reveals that the portal times in terms of a "map frame" out there in space, and the passage of time has been vastly dilated on this planet.
4h15m56s: Zone 15, 954 pop, 11.9s RC with Z14/60, no turkimp.
"Tightniks," the yellow one comes back from the second full bin to the filling third bin, watching the human fold up another of his very first inventions, the very first thing he built after jumping through the mysterious green phenomenon exiting the crashed ship, "Why in blazes are you building so many traps?"
The human had finished another and tossed it into the bin, then picked up the now ever-present portal control pad, gets it out of auto-sleep and called up the "Achievement Points" page. "I have this weird hunch," he says.
"Deja vu? That familiar feeling we always have?" the yellow one inquires politely, slightly tilting its head.
"May I?" Tightniks turns up his hand and waves it up and down in a lifting gesticulation, then points at the trap pile.
"Sure," the yellow one understands, "if you'll put me back down after."
The human sets the pad down, stoops at the knees and gets his arms under the yellow trimp scientist's front limbs and lifts it up onto that stack of traps with a grunt; it is an impressive demonstration of his improving strength against the planet's high gravity. Then he picks up the pad again and points at one of the blank purple squares near the bottom.
"You don't know what that is," the yellow one says, "Are we going after that first one that is readable?"
"Yes," the human nods, "it's for finishing something called a Dimension of Anger, whatever that is, before getting something called Bounty."
"Whatever that is," the trimp chuckles.
"No, I know what it is," the human says, "I remember it being access to a resource-rich area on the other side of a green Wall we'll find with our next map route. It doubles our resource production."
"That would be handy," the yellow one says.
"Hmm," he nods, "But all the traps are for this one," pointing at the third square in the top row of the array the pad labels "Feats", the second of three that are purple.
"Oh," a stylus materializes in the yellow one's paw, "Well, all it says is 2.5%. It doesn't say how to get it. Something to do with traps?"
"Something to do with traps," the human chuckles, "that's only convenient to do now."
4h29m46s...
Other trimps can understand the grey one better than the human, "Shijou shijou shijou?" is what a human ear would hear, but it's really asking the yellow one, "You mean he knew it was going to be here?"
"Yeah," the yellow one nods.
"Well, it's gotta be that pad none of us finds familiar," the grey one insists.
"I don't think so," the yellow one argues, "He showed the reason for all these traps to me on the pad, and the information is not yet available there."
"Well, it can't be just a coincidence," the grey one grumbles.
6h23m16s: Our first void map dropped.
"What is that?" The red one asks the yellow one. It grabs a stick and lifts the strange square object up by an edge from as far away as he can.
"I have no idea," The yellow one says.
"It seems to have some sort of cooling effect," the red one says, looking underneath it, having tilted it up with the stick, "Like it's not just cold, but actually cooling down, as though it were the opposite of on fire."
"Shijou," the grey one says, holding a note.
"It's a void map. Grab it with a blanket and put it on the cart please. - Tightniks"
"Shijou shijou," the grey one clarifies, "The new pad said 'void enabled'. Guessing it's that."
10h06m21s: Zone 21, 1975 pop, 19.6s RC with Z20/232, no turkimp.
"Ooooookay," Tightniks growls, "There is something off about this thing."
"Shijou?" the grey one looks at the yellow one with concern about their human starship pilot friend.
The human stoops, picks up the little green gem on the ridge between Zone 20 and 21, looks at it, huffs, and asks, "Any idea where this comes from?"
"Err..." the red one seems hesitant to say, "I think you made it."
"Really?" the human huffs, "How could that be?" Then he tosses it at Red, "See if anything reacts to it. It might be radioactive, so we should take turns to minimize exposure."
"Really?" Red's holding it now, "What makes you say that?"
"Because I'm pissed off for no reason I can figure out," the human says, "I think it's coming from-" he gasps, "Waitamint!" He starts searching for the portal pad.
"Frags," the red one says quickly, "I think it's arranging a route. You're good with maps," it tosses the gem to the grey scientist.
The human has his portal pad up and reads aloud, "You have the Discipline challenge active. Tweak the portal to- yada yada yada. Tiss tiss t- completing The Dimension Of Anger will cause Trimp damage to return to normal." He snaps his fingers, "That's gotta be it."
"Shijou," the grey one says hopefully, and has a map drawn within a few minutes.
12h30m06s: Portal, 45 He, 3.600 He/hr, 2098 pop, 18.3s RC, 1% AP for Portal-before-Bounty.
The last head of the map's boss monster goes limp as one of the fighting trimps' dagger points goes into it, and the huge thing settles on its tail, resting on the package that seems to be the prize of this map. And there's a popping sound, and then something mechanical.
Is that a scroll compressor? Tightniks looks at the package. The deflating monster's lifting envelope material drapes over everything underneath it. "Red, Shijou!" he snaps and points, "roll up that side of it. Keep this part from sucking down on the extractor nozzle!"
All fifty of the scientists jump in, literally, pushing the gas in the bag towards the compressor. Tightniks as well, rolling up the front.
Until he kicks, and nearly trips over, a smaller package that might be the explanation for the reason why the center of the monster's defense seemed to be a little away from the big package he could see. It's in the right place, he realizes. He gets it uncovered and reads stenciled-and-sprayed block letters on it:
"DT TIME PORTAL / THIS SIDE DOWN"
Perhaps the Dimension of Anger is so named because of the rage suddenly rising up in Tightniks' throat. It isn't so much as the free-floating aggression suddenly has an answer, there is definitely a fresh batch of rage and anger as he grips the nearest Dagger V, Mark 2 with both hands- ...I must have gotten used to destroying it at some point. He lets go of his weapon with his right hand first and dangles his left arm while holdi-
Refocusing on surviving the next few seconds, the pilot turns on the radar for the final approach and takes a last look around, then straight ahead at his forward camera and primary flight display...
He crouches, sets the dagger down gently, then starts clearing the debris from the box's grab iron. He tries to lift it- Damn, this is heavy!
Surprised at this turn of events, his two oldest scientists, Grey and Yellow, rush to either side of him and help out. They get it flipped over and read the other side of the device, Tightniks chuckles a bit at its predictability:
"DT TIME PORTAL / THIS SIDE UP" There's a square cutout in the middle of one side of it, with a sliding cover at the bottom of it.
"Thanks," he pats his scientists, "but back off, please." He gets the cover unlatched, and slides it open to see, first a big rainbow-colored wide data cable and card edge connector, then several fluid ports. "There's something missing," he says aloud as he gets the cover completely off and onto the grass, "this connects to some-" he's got the wide flat cable up in his hand, realizing what it plugs into. He looks at his scientists, lips trembling, "G-g-g-get the pad."
The grey one already has the survival data pad and offers it to him.
"No, the other pad," Tightniks clarifies, "The big one. The big one," he picks up wide flat rainbow cable and its edge socket in one hand, "It goes here," he points at it with the other. "It must have come with me end of the last cycle."
Both the yellow one and the red one bring it, one on each side.
"Thank you," the human takes it, gets its hinge lugs on the trunnions at the top of each corner of the cavity, then gets the cable connector on the card edge in the pad's base recess, "See, that's where it came from." It comes on:
"12h30m05s: You have completed the Discipline challenge, unlocking a new memory-enable coolant loop and restoring your trimps to normal combat discipline."
"Do you have any idea what that's about?" the yellow one points at the edge of the left side.
"That's-" Tightniks examines it, then suddenly realizes, "It's gotta be for the void map."
He's got a port cover open, and the bottom of it says, "NULLIFIUM/VOID HEIRLOOM INTERFACE"
"Shijou?" the grey one brings the blanket-wrapped void map.
The human clears an edge of the map; doesn't seem to matter which one, and then gets it into the slot. It disappears and the blanket settles down while the environment goes deep blue and suddenly goes super cold. "Hoe Lee!" he shivers, wrapping the blanket around himself, "I hope this isn't too much of a Napolean-Hitler Maneuver!" He glances around, but all the trimps don't seem to discomforted by the sudden cold.
12h35m24s: Void 1, 55 He, 4.369 He/hr, 2098 pop, 18.3s RC, first void AP 1% and 0.3% AP for 100 He simultaneously, we got a rare shield, but it's lame with attack, storage, and empty.
As the environment around them return to normal, the trimps cheer over the deflated corpse of the- ...whatever, who give a hoot? Tightniks finds a flurry of messages on the portal screen, two regard APs, one is about having recovered 10 He units, and the big one was about a "shield". Through the touchscreen, he enables it, and gets the status effects that it's talking about.
"Where to now, boss?" the yellow one asks, Tightniks can feel the draft off the cold trimps. They seem to be extraordinarily robust ectotherms, unlike him.
"Let's go back to that friggin' Wall, where it's warmer," he shivers, "We got that AP and could use the resources." As he leads them to the L15 route, he thinks, Maybe I did that void too early. It takes on the level of our most recently entered Zone, and the resources probably go up accordingly. [I did for character reasons after seriously considering running it at Z25 or 30.]
12h49m37s: Nursery unlocked.
"Four hundred thousand gems!" the human squeaks, "Are you kidding me?"
Grey and Yellow glance at each other, the former says "Shijou?" and starts doodling a real answer.
"I'm not sure if you've noticed, but young trimps have special diets for healthy bones," the yellow one explains.
"You eat gems?" the human gasps.
"Shijou," Grey says with a shit eating grin just above a little sign that says, "Babies eat aluminate, and gems are the best!"
"Do they like the taste?" Tighniks tosses a gem from the helium compressor in the direction of the nearest house.
"Uh-Uuuuh!" after it bounces off a paving stone, a yellow juvenile with red head fur jumps into the air to catch it in its mouth. [Puchim@s Yayo. Liek seriously, she jumps after pennies.]
13h32m59s: Zone 25, 84 He, 6.199 He/hr, 2217 pop, 52.6s RC with Z24/568, no turkimp.
It has an unusually light colored body, dark head fur that lies flat, and for trimp tails, wide and not all that prehensile, reminds Tightniks of a- ...he remembers what the animal looks like, but not that his home planet is called Earth nor that the animal is called a tanuki raccoon. Just the tail, the rest of the trimp looks like a trimp for the most part. Oh yeah, the mining foreman. [Puchim@s Yukipo] He turns to Red and asks, "What's wrong with it?"
"It's in a bad mood," the red one answers.
"I can tell," Tightniks glares angrily at the red one for a moment, cools off, takes a breath, and asks kindly, "Why is it in a bad mood?"
"We've never been out this far," the yellow one offers, "...well, with the portal captured at least. Now, it was in a good mood before it got near the cart after we started this zone. Something new on the cart?"
Tightniks approaches the mopey mining foreman and asks it, "What's the matter, little fella?"
It sighs, then starts struggling to climb [see 1x6] onto the compressor cart. Tightniks helps it up with a lift, then it goes to the portal pad and turns it on, opens up the coolant page, the challenges tab there, and sort of sighs and looks questioningly at him.
"Metal challenge:" the pad reads, "Tweak the portal to bring you to an alternate reality, where the concept of Miners does not exist..."
"Oh," Tightniks realizes, then huffs, "That explains the bad mood." He sits down with the mining foreman trimp and brushes its tail, "Don't worry, my friend. You'll be back after one cycle, and I'm sure I'll miss you and your miners. These guys," he nods at the scientists, "we're scared they wouldn't be back when I first used it on purpose, but they came back. If there's a 'Science challenge' later on, I'll have you and not them-"
The scientists flinch.
"It'll be okay," he assures the mining foreman he hasn't yet realized has fallen comfortably asleep in his lap, "It'll be okay, buddy."
16h11m02s: Gymnastic Z25 taken and gyms rapidly increasing now.
The 710 fighting trimps are majestic with their new gymnastic skill and nearly impossible to hit. Only occasionally did the gorillimp do damage. They took it down easily.
Then the dragimp they faced next blew them away with a fireball that made Tightniks flinch. It took him a second to get the dragimp back in his bee nickels. The next group was all ready to relieve their fallen comrades before they went down, even without the welcoming traps for the wild volunteers (of which Tightniks has just started into the 41st bin of ten thousand.) The dragimp can do nothing to them; anything that hits gets deflected by their V-8 shields; they never got sufficiently blindsided.
[Funny: V-8 is a veggie drink similar to clamato juice I can't find anymore, but it's really five-eight, which just happens to be the squadron number of the cast in Space: Above and Beyond. Herp-a-derp!]
19h11m12s: Spammed some random biome maps...
"Tai?" the grey one looks up at the human holding a little sign, "Last couple zones, you've been mapping a lot of random biome routes we never used. Is there any point to that?"
"Stats," the human says, fitting another one together, "Oh, and this," he tosses the trimp the completed forest route map."
As it registers in the portal system, the pad starts beeping and flashing its screen.
"What?" Tightniks sneers incredulously, "There's an AP for that?" He checks and sure enough, there's a 5% Achievement Point for making a 'perfect' map, by a full notch the biggest AP so far.
The yellow one was relaxing on the corner of the latest filled up trap bin, the 49th, notices, and leans back, "Yarey yarey..." shaking its head.
19h13m28s: Uberhouse taken.
"Shijou," the grey one stands at Tightniks feet holding a small book.
Tightniks takes a brief break from his trapmaking and stoops for his oldest scientist.
"Shijou," the grey one bobs the small book in its hands to offer it to Tightniks.
"Flush toilets and septic systems?" Tightniks reads, "You do this yourself?"
"Oh, don't you wish," the red one snickers, "No, it was in that perfect route you mapped up."
20h39m26s: Zone 30, 161 He, 7.794 He/hr, 4656 pop, 20N, 74.5s RC with Z29/1735, no turkimp, 2.5% AP for sub-60 He Z30 start...
"Oh?" Tightniks has an Ax V-3 over one shoulder and screws the helium hose connector to the portal system with one hand. He grunts, sounds kinda disappointed, sets the ax down and continues working on his massive pile of traps; he's almost finished the 55th of, he just learned, 100 huge bins.
The mining foreman had struggled up onto the cart to see, and just looks baffled. It usually looks a bit lost just as part of its demeanor, but this time it looks really quite confused, and makes rather bemused sounds too.
"Oh, what is this?" Red jumps up on the cart, sounding like it's gotta be silly.
The mining foreman climbs back down and spots a purple ore vein, makes a happy sound and pulls its shovel out of its back pocket to start digging into it.
[OC: This is not even close to an exaggeration vs. OG Puchim@s Yukipo who, in 1x2, just pulls out her shovel from nowhere and digs a hole through Project 765's indoor tile-and-concrete office floor to have a nap in the cold open of a 137 second long cartoon episode. Never run out of mushroom boxes! Also, 2nd season Golden Week gold medallion, she and Yayo dig into a volcanic island and hit an oil gusher ...you don't need to know much geology to realize...]
"Really?" Red groans, "Sheesh."
What's on the pad? "Hoarder: Have over 1 million traps at once, 2.5% damage."
20h48m06s: Gateways.
"Hmm," Tightniks pauses from his trap building and gazes over where they came from.
"Thinking of something?" the yellow one asks from the stack he's building under his feet as he puts the most recent trap on the pile.
"Yunno, we have a lot of territory back there that should be pretty pleasant to live in," Tightniks says, "You'd think we should be able to just map an enemy-free route that trimps can just sit down and live peacefully in. I'd love to be able to do that."
"Shijou," the grey one is at his feet with a massive shit-eating grin, not really "hiding" a big piece of documentation behind its back. Obviously it's not so dumb as to realize that it isn't concealed. It then pulls it out and offers it to the human, "Shijou."
"What's this-" the human gasps, "Are you kidding?"
"Shijou."
"Well?" the yellow one prompts, "Let's friggin' try it, shall we?"
21h34m53s...
For some odd reason, that quiet little mining foreman is on the trap pile, fiddling around. Seems to be trying to arm one, has the spring catch on-
"Hey, buddy!" the human notices, "What are you-"
SPROING and it goes flying through the air. Does a few flips and turns, and then sticks the landing, strikes a pose, and makes a happy sound. [op cit. 1x57]
"What the-" Tightniks says, scratching his head, I wonder how much more damage the fighters could avoid if they could do stuff like that.
"Shijou," the grey one is carefully copying out the trimpese from a tattered and dusty scroll.
"What is that?" Tightniks asks.
"Where mining buddy learned that flip," Yellow says from the cart with feet playfully dangling, "another gymnastic book we picked up a few NMEs back. Probably another chapter from the same book, actually. It seems to have been torn apart and scattered."
"Is that right, bud-" the human looks around, can't seem to find the mining foreman, "Buddy, where are you?" It can't move so fast as to get out of sight this quickly!
"Po-wee!" it cheers from the bottom of its latest hole, which is beside a pile of rich bluish-greenish copper ore, onto which another shovelful flies out of the hole onto it.
22h44m17s: Zone 32, 205 He, 9.016 He/hr, 9548 pop, 30N, 37.7s RC with Z31/2712, no tkp.
"You should probably go," Red whispers.
The exhausted human has just sat down for a nap after tossing yet another trap into the huge bin stenciled "61".
"Really, I mean it," the red trimp scientist gently sets a paw on the pilot's shoulder, "Listen to sense please. Charge all this helium and use the portal; it'll make us so much stronger."
"Only 392 thousand to go," Tightniks sighs, "All the ones I've made go to waste if I use it now. I know it's only a two-and-a-halfer, but if I go now, I'll never be in de-" his head slumps into the nodding-off of post-all-nighter fatigue, "moo."
Red and the mining foreman help the snoring human gently down onto his side. The former quietly asks the latter, "Do you think he's doing the right thing?"
The mining foreman makes a particularly delighted squeak, grabs its latest flask of leafy-flowery infusion, which is just now cool enough not to punish such a maneuver with a nasty burn, and upends the whole thing in a couple seconds. It then bounds off joyfully towards the big pit mine over there. It does not often lead the general laborers because of the gymnastic and shield driven block fight, which needs wood, but it happens to be doing so today.
Yellow stands next to the grumbling unhappy green lumber foreman trimp, who is standing on the head of its dual bit ax with its chin on the end of the haft sticking up from the head on the ground. "Cheer up!" the yellow scientist gently prods it in the elbow, "There isn't a Lumber challenge."
1d00h20m05s: Zone 33, 229 He, 9.410 He/hr, 10120 pop, 50N, 40.8s RC with Z32/3390, no turkimp.
"It's a familiar smell," the human says.
"There's no way we've been out this far since whatever it is that shtfed Trimp civilization," Red grumbles. [Word based on acronym SHTF, which stands for "stuff hits the fan" in its G-rated version. Long time ago, similarly derived "nsfw" was a kerbalese cuss word.]
"I think it's from before that," Tightniks clarifies, "from before the time loop stuff."
"I'm worried our fighting group is nearly a third of our population," Yellow sighs.
"Casualties bother you?" Tightniks asks, "I thought we talked about that."
"It's taking forever to breed up new groups, and these things, *snap* ow," Yellow didn't quite touch that one the right way, "you've got 661 thousand of are too small to help. If you don't go now, this will probably be our last Coordination and we won't be able to finish the next zone."
1d06h52m14s: Gymnastic Z35 finally away.
"Did you know it was there?" The red one asks the human as they watch the grey one transcribe another lost chapter of the Gymnastic book.
"No," Tightniks huffs, in a few minutes' break from his trap building, "But I'm not surprised, I hope it gets us Zone 36. In any case, as soon as I finish that millionth trap-"
The mining foreman makes a mournful sound.
"Don't worry, buddy," Tightniks pats it on the head, "I'll brush your tail again last thing before I go." He's working on bin #88.
1d08h00m10s: 12802 pop, 80N, 43.7s RC with Z34/5298, down from 27.4s; '31m00s...
Tightniks, wearing wool-lined leather gloves mixing shimp and bovimp ingredients, plugs the void map that they got from earlier in the zone into the portal, bundled up against the expected cold. He hopes that the fresh Gymnastic Z35 and Coordination Z34 will get them through it.
1d08h33m03s...
"Do you think you can get it back out of there?" Red asks the shivering human as he reaches for the portal.
There are a pair of ejector levers beside the void map slot which clicked when he inserted it, but the void map disappears, so it remained an open question as to whether they could get it back out. Making sure not to have his hands over the void map slot, Tightniks gets a thumb over each one and there's resistance like something is in the empty slot. He grunts and pushes down until they suddenly snap down, the ejected void map rematerializes. "Well, that's a relief," he sets it down and the starts doffing his coats and sweaters to let the warm air of the normal world reach him.
"Try again later?" Yellow asks.
"Yes," the human says.
"What, are you kidding?" Red scoffs, these things level up with the zones!"
"Later on in this zone, obviously," Tightniks grunts with a huff, and then turns to see the grey one holding its little sign with those exact words on it, can't help but smile.
1d09h08m09s: Snimp in Z36c74...
Having just finished yet another trap for bin #95 of the hundred that he needs for the million-traps AP, he tosses it in and looks to the front. There's not much left of that snimp, but it just killed a third fighting group. "The training bonus from running ten laps in an on-level map route doesn't transfer to the void, does it?"
"Shijou," the grey one says with a note of confirmation.
"And I'm getting close to done this pile of traps we need for that 2.5% AP damage bonus."
"Shijou," it says again.
1d09h08m21s: Snimp in Z36c75...
Tightniks sighs, "...and there's another one. So much for that void map with its heinous critically accurate fast voidsnimps and ugly boss fight." And he returns to building traps.
1d10h14m08s: Trying again...
"NULLIFIUM/VOID HEIRLOOM INTERFACE," Tightniks tightens the stuff around himself and then finishes getting the void map inserted with his gloves, and his fingers come together as it puffs out in a brief blue mist in the void environment.
"Timba timba," Tightniks hadn't even noticed that the lumber foreman was up on his head, pats him on the head, wants to get back to work. [No Puchim@s resembles the lumber foreman.]
"Oh, there you are," the human says, "Sorry, I wanted to finish the run with the mining foreman in charge of the resourcing workers. I don't know what's about to happen to it when I hit the Metal challenge."
"Who the devon talked you into into trying this thing again?" Yellow grumbles, looking up at the indigo sky and mysteriously shrunken and dim sun, hands- ...forepaws on its waist, not discomforted by the cold, but bothered by the re-attempt. [This cuss-word after Disturbed song "Inside the Fire".]
"Shijou," the grey one grins above a Rosetta-stone-like sign it's holding with "It was me." in forty-seven languages both human and trimp.
"Zone 37 is hopeless in the time it'll take me to finish building the traps," Tightniks says.
"Won't the cold slow you down?" Red inquires, "It seems to get to you for some reason we don't get."
"Timba timba," the lumber foreman confirms from its perch on Tightiks' jacket hood.
"Yeah," he huffs, tightening it down, "but it slows down the portal clock by the same amount, so who cares?"
1d10h38m48s: Voidsnimp in c12...
Even in the void, Tightniks has gotten used to the sounds of the combat and trimps dying en masse, but when he heard that voidsnimp screech, which is similar to a "drill" robot from an Earth video game he has almost totally forgotten called Descent (Interplay 1995), he almost involuntarily turned to see, Even way back here, they can damage us despite all that gymnastic training? Then it landed the critical hit and wiped them out, as all critical hits do on this void route. He still finished the trap he was working on before going back to the portal, "Forget this, we're just getting the zone blimp." He pops the map from the portal's void slot, and starts getting his void gear off. His uniform long since wore out, so he's wearing something much more cave-manny. [I picked that sound because that sucker was dangerous and terrifying and carried the nearly hitscan Vulcan cannon. There was no Descent II equivalent, but the Thiefbot was pretty annoying.]
1d10h45m30s: 1M traps AP for 2.5%. 1d10h47m36s: Zone 37, 345 He, 9.916 He/hr, 13120 pop, 100N, 33.6s RC with Z34/5298, 2774 pop short, no turkimp.
Tightniks had nearly finished the long procedure for loading and configuring the portal, then sat down with the mining foreman to brush its tail like he promised.
The scientist trimps tried to hit the portal's activation plunger, but it refused to travel the full distance closed for any of them. Quite tired themselves out trying. The only one not exhausted into total silence was the grey one with its exasperated "Shijou..."
The mining foreman refused to go to sleep, and watched intently as Tightniks finally reached over and set it home with one hand. Its last nervous little sigh was the only thing he remembered-
The ship is without power, and Tightniks can't run the radar much without draining the batteries...

2024.05.21 03:24 Ur_Anemone How the incels warped my research

…The manosphere claims its worldview is grounded in science, specifically the discipline of evolutionary psychology. That’s my discipline — I am an evolutionary psychologist and associate professor at UC Santa Barbara, the home of evolutionary psychology. In fact, it turns out incels have coopted some of my research to justify their ideology...
For example, incels maintain a wiki page of scientific citations they claim support their worldview — an annotated bibliography of misogyny. In one case, in a sort of Russian nesting doll of misrepresentation, the incel wiki quotes a paper citing a study of mine as demonstrating that women prefer dominant men — which they further twist into the incel notion that women actually prefer violent men as romantic partners.
Reading this entry, I thought, “That’s odd, I don’t remember ever publishing on dominance preferences — do the incels know my work better than I do?” No. I double-checked: That study didn’t even mention dominance preferences.
Curiously overlooked in this whole wiki section on women’s preferences is the fact that kindness is repeatedly found to be among the most desired qualities in large-scale, cross-cultural studies of mate preferences.
This is just one example. Peering into the manosphere has been like walking through a funhouse mirror version of my science. The manosphere view of evolutionary psychology is distorted, filtered, selective, and embellished…
At the end of the day, incels attempt to draw from evolutionary theory a power it does not have. Evolution is not destiny. It is a powerful tool for explaining how we came to be who we are today, but it cannot tell us who we should be today or who we can be tomorrow. In fact, we can leverage an understanding of our evolved psychology to create the world we want to live in. The manosphere interprets my science to mean that love is impossible — but a major focus of my lab is helping people form happy, enduring relationships...
If I could teach the young men flicking through passport bro videos anything about evolutionary psychology, it would be that believing evolution is important for explaining human behavior need not commit you to a regressive worldview. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling ideology, not science.

2024.05.21 03:17 untitled7549 Meet the Westies

[Verse 1]
Dear Tyrone
I'm sorry that that man is your partner, let me be honest
It takes a man to grab a gram, your friend is not responsive
I look at him and wish that Spotify paid more to artists
I'm sorry that you gotta spit shit and then stand behind him
Life is hard, I know, the challenge is working in studio
Sometimes our homies make mistakes that affect us droppin’ some more
Hey, you're a good man that need good leadership
Let us be your mentor since Kanye West don't teach you shit
Never let a man drop on YZY, son
Either you stream that shit or slap that man in the head, son
Never fall in the porno business, that's bad religion
Please remember, you could be a bitch even if you got bitches
Never date-switch, whether right or wrong, you're a musician
Even if it don't benefit your goals, get a deal, get some discipline
Don't cut them corners like Omari did, fuck what the nitrous did
Don't pay to play with them Brazilians, get Peggy rapping bitch
Understand, no throwin' rocks at carnivals, that's law
Don't be ashamed 'bout who you wit', that's how he treat the Jews
Don't have a verse to hide a curse, to hide the sound, be sure
Five percent will comprehend, but ninety-five is lost
Be proud of who you are, your strength come from within
Lotta superstars that's real, but your partner kinda stupid
And you nothing like him, you'll carry yourself as king
Can't understand me right now? Just play this when you fifty

[Verse 2]
Dear Donda
Your son got some habits, I hope you don't undermine them
Especially with all these fans that's hurt inside this climate
You like music, so you know how it feels to be in alignment
With emotion, hopin' a man can please you and give you classics
Dear Ray, you gave birth to a master manipulator
Even usin' you to prove who he is is a huge favor
I think you should ask for more bangers, and more bangers
And more, uh, more bangers
I'm blamin' you for all his lyin' addictions
Psychopath intuition, the man that like to play victim
You raised a horrible fuckin' musician, the nerve of you, Ray
Donda, sit down, what I'm about to say is heavy, now listen
Mm-mm, your son's a sick man with sick thoughts, I think n***as like him should drop
Him and Carti should get locked up in a stu’ for the rest their life
He hates making music, yet hypes it all with kinks of a liar fetish
Bought a porno set because he understood fucking the girls just fit him better
He got dick defenders on YZY that he keep on a yearly allowance
A fan should never be compromised and he fucking up rollouts around them
And we gotta raise our daughters knowin' his website ships like garbage
Fuck a rap battle, he should die so all of these orders can come with a shirt and
I been in this industry twelve years, I'ma tell y'all one lil' secret
It's some dumb shit goin' on and some of these artists be here to police it
They be streamlinin' victims all inside the LP and tellin’ ‘em “Listen”
Then drop videos of TALKING to further push their agendas
To any brother that be playin' his music, know that you're playin' your sister
Or better, you're sellin' your niece to the morons, not the smart ones
Young Thug said, “Slow on BS" so I'ma drop mine
The factory 'bout to get raided too, it's only a matter of time
Ayy, Tyler, keep the fanbase away, hey, Freddie, keep the fanbase away
To anybody that embody the love for their stans, keep the fanbase away
They lookin' at you too if you standin' by him, keep the fanbase away
I'm lookin' to hoop through any fucker that kids, keep the fanbase safe

[Verse 3]
Dear baby girl
I'm sorry that your father too active inside your world
He don't commit to much inside music, yeah, that's for sure
He a narcissist, misogynist, livin' inside his songs
Try destroyin' Ov-hoes rather than takin' care of his own
Should be playin' us Promotion, or wearing Gosha with us
Or at our eleventh birthdays singin' Poppin’ with us
Instead, he be with Saint payin' for games and watching' hoops, examples that we don't deserve
I wanna tell me that I’m loved, I’m brave, I’m kind
I got a gift to change the world, and could change your father's mind
'Cause Volume 2 is the future, but he lives inside confusion
Money's always been illusion, but that's the life he's used to
His idol prolly didn't drop shit neither
History do repeats itself, sometimes it don't need a reason
But I would like to say it's not your fault that he's hidin' another ablum
Give him grace, this the reason I play Graduation
So the babies like me can cope later
Give me some confidence to go through somethin', it's hope later
I never wanna hear me chase a man 'cause it's feral behavior
Sittin' in VC with cracker babies for validation
I need to know that love is eternity and trumps all pain
I'll tell you who your father is, just play this song when it rains
Yes, he's a hitmaker, songwriter, superstar, right
And a fuckin' deadbeat that should never say "sequel"
Meet the Westies

[Verse 4]
Dear Kanye,
I know you probably thinkin' I wanted to crash your party
But truthfully, I don't have a hatin' bone in my body
There's supposed to be a good exhibition within the game
But you fucked up the moment you lied straight to my face
Why you had to stoop so low to dissapoint some decent people?
Guess integrity is lost when the metaphors doesn't reach you
And I like to understand 'cause your mind was never normal
forty-seven, but you showin' up as a seven-year-old
You got lyin' problems, jerkin' problems, gas-huffin' and spendin' problems
Bad with money, hole in house
Solicitin' fanbase problems, therapy's a lovely start
But I suggest some honest sorries, strip the ego from the bottom
I try to empathize with you 'cause I know that you been through some shit an'
Crave entitlement, but wanna be liked so bad that it's puzzlin'
No dominance, let's recap moments when you didn't fit in
No secret handshakes with your friend
No culture cachet to binge, just disrespectin' your partner
Integrity's on the fence, don't know which account will love ya
The skin that you livin' in is compromised in personas
Can't channel your good within even when standin' next to a brother
You a body shamer, you gon' hide them album sequels, ain't ya?
You embarrassed of 'em, that's not right, that ain't how mama raised us
Take that mask off, I wanna see what's under them achievements
Why believe you? You never gave us nothin' to believe in
'Cause you lied about religious views, you lied about your surgery
You lied about Yandhi and Good Ass Job, all is perjury
You lied about your ghostwriters, you lied about your crew members
They all pussy, you lied on 'em, I know they all got you in 'em
You lied about the mix, you lied about the volumes, huh
You lied about them other tracks that's out there hopin' that you come
You lied towards the only fanbase that can dicksuck you till hell
Fuck a rap battle, this a long life battle with yourself

2024.05.20 23:53 ar_david_hh Armenia on 2024-05-20

11-minute read.

Armenia's military industry is developing

HOST: The share of the domestic arms industry in the armed forces has been rising in recent years. The state has decided to create easier conditions for the development of the industry.
HIGH-TECH MINISTER (Mkhitar Hayrapetyan): Whatever is possible to produce in Armenia with the use of Armenian scientific potential and manufacturing capacities should be done domestically to minimize reliance on imports. The myth that Armenian producers are incapable of creating high-quality products has been shattered.
At the moment, there are ֏170 billion ($438 million) in contracts signed between the defense ministry and 27 representatives of domestic industry. We expect to bring it to ֏190 billion ($490 million) by the end of this year by involving two more companies.
Most contracts are about communication tools, control systems, radio-electronic warfare tools, drones, modernization activities, etc.
LEONID NERSISYAN (expert): It's not a secret that hefty investments were made in the manufacturing of drones. We've also seen a production of 122 mm and 82 mm shells; it's necessary to expand to 155 mm because we are purchasing new [Indian] artillery that uses those.
HIGH-TECH MINISTER: (1) The state is enacting legislative reforms to make the industry attractive for investments. (2) We are promoting R&D for new technologies and the generation of new ideas. We are financing research activities, the creation of prototypes, and their experimentation. The chain ends when a company's product passes the state experimentation process and enters serial production.
HOST: In 2018 the scientific-research budget was ֏2.4B. Today it's ֏4.1B ($10.6M), with an additional ֏1.5B dedicated for prototypes.
MHER MARKOSYAN (expert): We need more laser tech experts. The state must cherish mil. industry employees and encourage young scientists to gain experience.
HIGH-TECH MINISTER: As part of the 2024 budget, we do have a component to train and retrain industry experts. New specialists must enter this industry.
MHER MARKOSYAN: The war in Ukraine has made it more difficult to import components. Something that would normally take 1 week now requires 5 months. There are also horrible logistics problems. We do find solutions to import products but these solutions are expensive.
LEONID NERSISYAN: Even countries under the UN's embargo are able to import weapons so it's a matter of price. For example, it turns out that 70% of the electronics inside North Korean missiles are American.
HOST: Some Armenian manufacturers have reached international levels and could soon begin to export their products. However, there are logistic complications here as well. For example, in 2021 Armenia faced difficulty transporting the mockups of larger weapons to the Abu Dhabi expo [Moscow forced the jet carrying Armenian products to be unloaded and kept delaying the cargo's transfer to Abu Dhabi].

India's Ambassador about defense cooperation between India and Armenia

AMBASSADOR: Our defense cooperation is proceeding very well. Defense cooperation is not only defense technical cooperation, but also we are looking at capacity building. On both fronts, we are proceeding very well.
REPORTER: During a joint press conference with MOD Papikyan, the Greek Minister spoke about the possibility of Armenia-Greece-France-India quadrilateral cooperation in the defense area.
AMBASSADOR: All 4 states have very good relations but at the moment it is still premature to talk about a quadrilateral format. But yes, there are convergences.
REPORTER: The Indian government said it's going to appoint Defense Attachés to Armenia and several other countries to strengthen the military links. What can you tell us about this?
AMBASSADOR: PM Modi has a very clear-cut policy and initiative of “Make in India”, including in the defense sector. We are now seeing that many countries in the world are buying Indian defense equipment. Defense Attachés are being posted to coordinate the process.

... India's Ambassador about AM-IN economic ties and trade

REPORTER: What was the volume of trade last year, and what trends are seen in the bilateral export and import markets?
AMBASSADOR: The $200 million trade we made was far below the potential. India is the Pharmacy of the World with more than 60% of the vaccines worldwide coming from India, including those supplied through the WHO and other mechanisms like GAVI. So we see more potential here. Both sides are working towards increasing the import of Indian medicines and vaccines into Armenia. We are also looking at the high-tech sector.

... India's Ambassador about Pashinyan's "Crossroads of Peace" trade unblocking project

REPORTER: The Government of Armenia proposed the “Crossroads of Peace” logistics project. There were opinions that it matches with India’s vision in the South Caucasus. What is India’s opinion on this initiative?
AMBASSADOR: When countries need to prosper, connectivity is the key. And connectivity is something that we, in our own region, have been working very closely with our neighboring countries. So similarly, we find that for any region, if you want to move to the next level of prosperity, you need to have connectivity projects. Naturally, we see this “Crossroads of Peace” project of the Armenian government in that light, that it would be a win-win situation for all the regional partners. So indeed for us there is no other way than to have more connections between countries, whether it is in terms of roads, railways, etc. We look at it positively and enthusiastically.

... India's Ambassador about international trade through Iran's Chabahar port

REPORTER: India plays an important role in the development of Chabahar port. You mentioned that the prospects of facilitating the use of Chabahar port for Armenia are being considered as well. What are those possibilities?
AMBASSADOR: The Chabahar port is jointly developed by India and Iran. In our discussions with the Armenian side, they have manifested an interest in using the Chabahar port. Armenia's Minister of Territorial Administration visited the Chabahar port in December. We are waiting for the details from the Armenian side and we will consider it once we receive concrete proposals.
REPORTER: What role can Armenia play in the development of a communication route from India to Chabahar to the Black Sea?
AMBASSADOR: This goes back to my comment about connectivity. Armenia being a landlocked country definitely needs more connectivity projects. If it materializes, I think it would help Armenia to overcome the fact that it is a landlocked country.

government launches the construction of two roads for Tavush border village Kirants: VIDEO

PASHINYAN OFFICE: The 3 remaining coordinates of Kirants were pinpointed with the use of a computer and the border posts will be installed later. The rest [another 8 posts in Kirants] are already there. The good news for Kirants is that around 25 hectares of land that have been unreachable for 33 years will be returned to the village. The border resembles the 1976 line.
As we said earlier, yes, there is a need to build a bypass road, which can be accomplished in 2-3 months. We will also rebuild the road between H-26 and Acharkut and Kirants, which is an alternative road for Kirants. As for property issues, the volumes are small and the government will compensate in such situations. //
The 3 remaining border posts were reportedly installed in Kirants on Monday. Here is how the road issue will be addressed:
Azerbaijan is located between Kirants and Sarigyugh villages. Kirants is currently connected to Sarigyugh with two roads: a direct connection through the interstate road, and a secondary road that connects Kirants to nearby Acharkut before reaching Sarigyugh.
Approximately 300 meters of the direct road falls under the Azerbaijani side, so the government will build a 750-meter bypass road parallel to it. Preliminary construction activities have begun; they are working on the details.
As for the secondary road passing through Acharkut, the government has begun rebuilding and widening it to allow cargo trucks to use it.
So there are currently two construction projects, with one connecting Kirants to Sarigyugh directly, and the second connecting Kirants to Sarigyugh through Acharkut. Both roads are expected to be ready in 3 months.

Azerbaijani dissident activist Arif Yunusov about Iran helicopter crash

REPORTER: Will there be radical changes in Iran after the death of Raisi?
YUNUSOV: I doubt it. The real power is in the hands of Khamenei. Now there are reports about his son [replacing him in the future]. As for the internal disturbances caused by opponents, as you know, there are periodic waves in Iran. These protests are sometimes ethnicity-based. If in the past it was Azerbaijanis, today the protests are by Kurds. There is also the youth that's tired of being ruled by religious mullahs. The death of Raisi doesn't change anything in internal or foreign policies. They will just change the President's last name.
REPORTER: I have a feeling Iran will soon blame Israel for the helicopter crash.
YUNUSOV: I have already seen that on Iranian Telegram channels but official Tehran won't rush with that. They will conduct an investigation and conclusions will be made. If Tehran blames Israel, then there must be good evidence for it because credit where credit is due - Iran usually conducts such investigations quite well. If you remember the liquidation of the father of Iran's nuclear weapons, Israel still denies participation but Iran found enough evidence that Israeli agents used the territory of Azerbaijan to infiltrate, carry out the project, and return through Azerbaijan. Let's wait and see the conclusion of the crash investigation. The accusations by Telegram channels and analysts "don't count".

... Arif Yunusov about AM-AZ border delimitation

REPORTER: Is the ongoing Tavush-Gazakh delimitation really a bilateral process, as Baku claims?
YUNUSOV: No. The U.S. is still interested in the delimitation process and influences both parties behind the curtains. There was a high-profile Azerbaijani visit to Washington. Although the official press release didn't share details, we can safely assume they discussed the AM-AZ relations. If this delimitation continues in spite of Russia that means the U.S. is currently a moderator in this process. This is not purely a bilateral process despite Aliyev's efforts to present it that way.
REPORTER: Is the U.S. a guarantor that the delimitation won't end in Tavush?
YUNUSOV: Not a "guarantor" but the U.S. is the force that is really trying to accomplish something and is actually doing something. The full demarcation will last a long time. The main objective of the U.S. at the moment is the signing of an AM-AZ peace agreement. I don't think they'll be able to sign it before November, however.
REPORTER: How is the Azerbaijani public reacting to the border delimitation?
YUNUSOV: Positively. People truly want to have a demarcated border. The Azerbaijani regime often mentioned "Western Azerbaijan" and the return of Azeris there, but in reality, nobody in Azerbaijan took that seriously because they all understood it was an attempt to pressure Armenia. As soon as information came that the border was partially delimited, it was met with a positive response by the public. The Azerbaijani public understands that it's normal for Azerbaijan to gain and lose control of territories during this process, just as we did during the delimitation with other neighbors.

2024.05.20 23:37 Own_Avocado_8244 Passed in 85 on my first attempt!

Took my NCLEX for the first time last Friday, got my quick results 2 days later, and I found out I passed! This will be a long post but I hope it’ll be helpful to anyone who needs it.
TLDR: i used uworld and mark k. the actual exam itself was easier than expected. my advice is to have faith in yourself and focus on learning and understanding!
For some background: I graduated in May 2023 (and became an RN in May 2024!). I’m an international graduate so it took a while for my papers to get certified, fly back to the states, and for the BON to give me my ATT. So by the time I get my ATT, it’s been almost a year since I’ve been out of school and I’ve done no studying whatsoever lol. Honestly, I had no motivation. I was tired after 4 years of school and I just wanted to rest. So I was very thankful for that long break. Then I got my ATT and I knew I had to start studying at some point. My school prepared us for that country’s board exam (which I wasn’t taking), not the NCLEX. I felt that I really had to put in some elbow grease in my review. But I’m kind of at a loss for where to start and I felt so overwhelmed by all the different resources and advice people were telling me.
RESOURCES
I ended up only using two main resources: UWorld and Mark K. However, I also did watch BeautifulNursing’s Comprehensive Review on youtube (which was a nice, summed up version of what Mark K talked about).
Mark K was great, especially if you’re someone like me who needed a content refresher. I’m pretty sure none of the topics he went over showed up on my exam lol. Nonetheless, his lectures were incredibly helpful because it set up a good foundation for me in my review. I had forgotten so many of the topics in my year-long break and if I started my practice exams without watching his lectures first, I would’ve been completely lost. He also gave good memory tricks, shortcuts, and test-taking strategies. However, the bulk of my learning and content review came from doing my UWorld qbank. Mark K doesn’t teach you everything and there’s a lot of lacking/outdated/incorrect information. So that’s just something to be aware of. Overall, I would still recommend his lectures.
For UWorld, I had initially planned to watch the lecture videos they had for content review before starting any practice exams. And I did that for a good while before I realized how useless and what a waste of time it was because I was not retaining any information or learning anything. Eventually, I only studied by strictly doing the question bank and learning from the rationales there. I read every single rationale and made sure I understood why the correct answer was the right one and why the wrong answers weren't. But I didn't write down everything. I only wrote down what I felt I needed to. My notes are literally just bullet points on flashcards. Their rationales are very detailed and informative, but no way was I gonna write all that down lol. This exam is not about memorization, anyway. It’s about understanding and application.
I feel like UWorld prepared me quite well. The topics that showed up on the exam were familiar to me because I had done so many questions on them before. This is also where I was able to develop my critical thinking skills and learned how to break down each question.
Just an observation, UWorld questions are written pretty wordy and I found that the NCLEX is much more straightforward and concise. I don't think it really made that much of a difference for me in the end.
As for scores (which I really, really recommend you shouldn't be stressing too much about), I started off scoring in the high 50s. I steadily improved to the low 70s by the time it was the week of the exam. But I didn't even use half of the question bank. I also had 4 Self-Assessments and I took them every few days in the last 2 weeks leading up to my exam. In order, the results were: Low, High, High, Borderline.
STUDY SCHEDULE
I was pretty inconsistent with my studying. It was difficult to get motivated and studying just gave me anxiety. But I studied for about a month in total. I really only got my ass in gear the last 2.5 weeks where I studied everyday anywhere from 5-12 hours, with breaks throughout the day. I did 50-200 questions a day, the most being like 220 questions that one time. I really hammered in those rationales so it took a while to get through them. Within a week, my scores improved drastically and I started to feel more confident in taking exams because I was actually understanding each question and how to break them down. It took a lot of discipline and focus for a lazy student like me to do something like that. That last week, I realized I was burning myself out and some nice people on here told me I had to relax hahah. They were right because I was so exhausted that I wasn't learning effectively anymore. I still did my qbank (for the sake of calming my restlessness), but not as intensely as before and only for maybe 1-2 hours a day. On the day before my exam, I read through my flashcards and took my last Self-Assessment (without reviewing it) and that was it.
Btw, I’m not saying to cram your studying or to study to the point of exhaustion. I’m saying that you know yourself the best. You know your limits and you know what you need to study effectively. Anyway, that was my last time studying like that, since this was the last major exam I ever have to take haha.
DAY OF THE EXAM
My nerves didn't let me sleep at all the night before my exam so I was up hours before my alarm. I had some breakfast, said my prayers, and went to the site. When I was walking into the testing center, a lady who already finished her test was wishing us luck as she was walking out and right before she left, she said "allow yourself to succeed". It was like something clicked for me and the anxious voice in my head that’s been yapping all review season, finally shut up. That stranger was like a guardian angel telling me exactly what I needed to hear in that moment. I prayed one last time and went in to take my exam.
In all honesty, the NCLEX was easier than expected. Not to say it wasn’t difficult, it just wasn’t what I was expecting. From reading all these reddit posts about how people felt like they weren’t confident on a single question, I walked in there ready to fight for my life. But surprisingly, it went a lot smoother than I thought it would. It was very doable and was not the impossible obstacle many people made it out to be. The most time I spent on a question was probably 5 minutes (but then again, I’ve always been a fast test taker). I straight up guessed on maybe <10 questions. On the ones I had a harder time on, I could narrow my choices down to the top 2. If you haven’t chosen a reviewer yet, I really do highly recommend UWorld. The questions can be hard, but they fully prepare you for the NCLEX (if you properly digest those rationales). I promise! I felt like I was taking just another UWorld practice exam. I probably looked crazy to the exam proctors because I was fully immersed in my exam. I was quietly thinking out loud and talking to the computer, walking through my thought process for each question (just like how I would do it at home with UWorld)
When it shut off at 85, I didn’t know what to feel. I was prepared to go the full 150 and at first, I wished the test gave me more questions to let me prove myself. But then again, I was feeling semi-confident with my answers. So I had a feeling I would be alright.
I refused to do the PVT trick (just in case I might be given false hope) and waited the 48 hours. I felt the heavy burden finally lifted off my shoulders when I saw that PASS on my screen :)
TIPS/ADVICE
Remember, my experience is not yours. Take whatever resonates with you or whatever’s helpful, and leave everything else :)
Thank you for reading! To God be the Glory.

2024.05.20 23:34 Hawk7117 The lack of discussion on Wenceel Perez on the Tigers lately is wild

I just wanted to take a moment to appreciate the incredible performance of Wenceel Perez lately. This guy has been absolutely tearing it up on the field for the Tigers, and I think it's high time we give him some much-deserved recognition.
Perez has been showcasing an impressive combination of speed, power, and consistency at the plate. His recent stats are nothing short of spectacular:
His contributions have been pivotal for the Tigers, and he’s quickly becoming a fan favorite with his dynamic play. Whether it's a clutch hit in a tight game or just needing someone on base when several runs down, Perez has been delivering when it matters most.
We have seen a few pitching prospects come up this year that has been making fantastic debut performances, but not many have been contributing offensively and surely not at this level.
We are still looking at a small sample size but after watching him the last few weeks I have seen too many clutch, game altering at bats from him to not make this post.
What do you all think about Perez’s recent form? Any memorable moments or plays that stand out to you?
I've attached a few of my personal favorites this year.
This is his first of two home runs in the same game (from both sides of the plate) to give the tigers the tying a go-ahead runs respectively.
Here is one of his two triples from and game this weekend, and if Corbin Carrol can't run it down, that's a for sure hit in any park. His second one of the game was a bases clearing, 3 RBI deep fly.

2024.05.20 23:01 Prestigious_Pick3603 boyfriend M19 has a porn addiction. me F19 not sure what to do.

basically I went through his phone. went to recently deleted. found a lot of porn, naked girl videos/pictures, tiktoks of models, etc...
oh let me mention that the topic of porn was brought up previously and he knows it makes me uncomfortable that he watches it because in some way it's betrayal to me. it's kinda like cheating. you're attracted to their body or face therefore you get hard and masturbate to them.
but yea brought it up to him and was honest that i went through his phone because i have been feeling insecure. he was honest and said he has an addiction. he was exposed to it at a young age. he wants to stop, discipline himself in some way (his words) and has given me the permission to go through his phone whenever to be a bit secure.
what broke my heart is that he watched it before we had sex yesterday. not to mention there was just so many different girls that look nothing like me. i compared me and my body to them. im so heartbroken, betrayed, and hurt. he lost my trust.
i love him so much and want to continue to be with him, however, this is something to makes me see him differently and im scared to get intimate with him now.
while i do want to help and support him, i just don’t know where to take it from here. this is porn addiction topic is so new to me and i want to understand him but my self respect has got to be more important than my feelings. i hold grudges and i do see myself thinking about it a lot.
does the intimacy and trust grow again? can it even grow again? how do i help him? what else can i do besides going through his phone? what other questions can i ask him?
he’s super anti therapy btw

2024.05.20 22:34 Happy-Stage1748 How do you pull yourself out of isolation?

17m. This is a little bit of a vent. basically dropped out of my public school because I felt sad and unmotivated, then I enrolled in a program where I finish my high school diploma at a 2-year college while gaining college credits that will help me transfer later.
I honestly feel really lonely because I feel like there’s a lack of outlets in my life. I have this idea of what I want to feel from when I was younger. My guardian family members used to take much better care of themselves, and my older cousins were like sisters to me. Now my mom has had more kids in our blended family, she gets overwhelmed and irritable and she doesn’t have a six pack anymore (I saw her as more healthy and disciplined back then because of it). My grandpa is a workaholic and he’s so tired all of the time and he can’t have a conversation with you while focusing, I look at him and I feel disappointed. He looks so old, I remember when I was a kid and he was like a best friend and he would play with me even if it was for just 5 minutes. Other family members just drifted away and I don’t see them much anymore, I try texting them telling them I miss them and I’d like to see them, they say “anytime”. I remember I have this one older cousin I really adored, I saw her like my older sister and I was so happy to see her. She must have came around at least one day a week. I try reaching out to her nowadays and she replies to me, but I don’t think she loves me as much as I loved her. I saw her for the first time in a couple years recently, I was really happy to see her especially since she doesn’t pop up for the holidays anymore. But now I just feel like she’s drifted away and she was only ever around me because she was forced to be around me.
I guess I really want to find community in other people now, but it’s really difficult. My school isn’t big on student life, and the other high school students I was with for this first semester weren’t people I really liked to be around. Outlets I look at for recreation are aimed towards adults, even on meetup.com. Do you think I should lie about my age and say I’m older or something? I notice a small shift in how people interact me after I tell them I’m high school aged. I’ve tried making friends online on Discord, but people there were kind of mean. I got called fairy, fruitcake, queer, fruity, zesty and weird because I appearently have that “gay lisp”. I feel kind of discouraged from trying there again. I really want someplace to belong.
Do you guys know anywhere online or in real life I could meet people? In my head I really want camping buddies, people to play couch co-op video games with, people to eat the food I make, someone to go randomly cycling and take public transit with me someplace new, maybe show me something they like. I don’t know.

Exploring Online Class Assistance

Legitimacy Concerns

When considering online class assistance, it's essential to verify the company's registration details. Look for a physical office address listed on their website pages, as this can indicate legitimacy. Check for customer reviews on independent pages to gauge the experiences of previous clients. For example, if you're seeking online class help, ensure that the provider has a verifiable track record and is transparent about its operations.
Privacy assurance is another crucial aspect when contemplating paying someone to do your online classes. Ensure that the company employs robust data encryption protocols to safeguard your information from unauthorized access. Reviewing the privacy policy thoroughly will provide insight into how your data will be handled and protected throughout the engagement with an online class service. Inquiring about confidentiality agreements at the university can also offer reassurance regarding the protection of your personal and academic details.

Reliability Factors

In assessing reliability factors related to online classes, it's imperative to research a service provider's track record of meeting deadlines consistently. This involves examining testimonials or feedback from past clients regarding their experiences with timely delivery of coursework or assignments by an online class helper. Furthermore, researching a service’s reputation within the industry can shed light on its standing in terms of reliability and professionalism.
Considering experience, expertise, and guidance are vital components when entrusting someone with your educational pursuits through an online course or program. An established provider should have skilled tutors who are well-versed in various subjects offered by online colleges or universities, ensuring that they can effectively assist with coursework, exams, and other academic requirements associated with pursuing an online education.

Benefits of Professional Help

Quick Learning

When seeking professional help for your online class, it's crucial to evaluate the tutor's ability to simplify complex concepts. Inquire about their approach to breaking down difficult topics and ensuring understanding. For example, you can ask how they have helped previous students grasp challenging material.
Confirming the availability of resources, guidance, and online classes for accelerated learning is essential. Ask if the service provider offers additional materials, practice exercises, or online classes that can aid in quicker comprehension. This could include access to online supplementary videos, interactive quizzes, or study guides tailored to your course content.
Furthermore, personalized learning strategies play a significant role in accelerating your understanding of the subject matter. Inquire whether the tutors customize their teaching methods based on individual student needs and learning styles. Understanding how they adapt their teaching approach online can provide insight into how effectively they may help us learn quickly.

Technical Literacy

Another important aspect when considering professional help for an online class is ensuring that tutors are proficient in relevant software and tools used in your course. You should verify their familiarity with platforms like Blackboard, Canvas, or Moodle if those are utilized by your educational institution.
Moreover, inquire about their capability to troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during online classes or while completing assignments. It's crucial that they possess the skills necessary to address any technical challenges promptly and efficiently so as not to disrupt your online learning process.
Ensure that the tutors are adept at handling online platforms effectively. They should be comfortable navigating through various features commonly found within online e-learning environments.

Time Management

Discussing scheduling flexibility with the service provider is vital when considering professional help for an online class. Clarify whether they offer online options for flexible session timings based on your availability and time zone differences if applicable.
Furthermore, inquire about online emergency support options available from the service provider in case you encounter urgent issues related to assignments or coursework deadlines requiring immediate assistance or guidance.

Finding Reputable Services

Finding a reputable service is crucial. One way to assess the credibility of an online class assistance provider is by scrutinizing reviews and testimonials. Look for detailed online feedback from clients who have used the service for specific courses or subjects. For instance, if you need help with a challenging math course, seek out online reviews that specifically mention positive outcomes in mathematics-related classes.
Consider feedback from long-term clients. Their experiences can offer valuable insights into the consistency and quality of the service over time. By focusing on detailed and subject-specific testimonials online, you can gain a clearer understanding of how well the service caters to your academic needs.
Another essential aspect of assessing an online class assistance provider's credibility involves conducting thorough trustworthiness checks on their tutors. Verify the credentials and qualifications of the online tutors associated with the service. Cross-check their academic backgrounds online to ensure they possess legitimate expertise in relevant fields.
Furthermore, investigate any history of malpractice or unethical behavior associated with these online tutors or the service itself. This step is crucial in ensuring that you're entrusting your online education to individuals and organizations committed to ethical conduct and professional standards.

When considering paying someone to do my online class, it's crucial to assess the range of subjects offered for assistance. Some service providers may specialize in certain subjects, so it's important to ensure that they cover the specific courses or topics you need help with. For instance, if you require online assistance with advanced mathematics or specialized sciences, it's essential to verify that the service offers support in these areas.
Inquire about additional study resources provided by the service. This could include access to online educational materials, practice quizzes, or interactive tools that can enhance your learning experience. Evaluating these online resources is vital as they can significantly contribute to your understanding and performance in the course.
Moreover, when looking for a service provider to pay someone for an online class, evaluating the availability of tutoring for different academic levels is crucial. Whether you are pursuing an undergraduate degree or seeking online assistance at a postgraduate level, ensuring that the service offers tailored support according to your academic needs is imperative.

Payment Options

When contemplating whether to pay someone for an online class, inquiring about secure payment gateways should be a priority. It's essential that any online financial transactions conducted with the service provider are secure and protected from potential cyber threats.
Furthermore, checking for a transparent pricing structure is paramount when deciding on a suitable service provider. Clear and upfront online information regarding fees and charges will enable you to make an informed decision without encountering unexpected costs later on.
Assessing flexibility in payment plans is another key consideration when looking into services offering assistance with online classes. Some providers may offer online installment options or customizable payment schedules based on individual circumstances.

Ensuring Academic Success

Grade Guarantees

When considering paying someone to do your online class, it's crucial to understand the policies on grade improvement. Inquire online about refund or compensation policies in case the promised grades are not achieved. Clarify the terms and conditions related to grades, ensuring that you have a clear understanding of what is guaranteed.
It's important for college students to feel confident in their decision, knowing that they will receive quality work and achieve the desired grades. For example, reputable online services may offer partial or full refunds if agreed-upon grades are not attained, providing a safety net for students.
When exploring options for paying someone to do your online class, make sure to choose a service that offers clear guarantees regarding grade improvements. This can provide peace of mind and assurance that your online investment will yield the expected results.

Timely Submissions

Another vital aspect when deciding whether to pay someone to take your online class is timely assignment submissions. Discuss protocols for submitting assignments promptly online with potential service providers. Inquire online about any penalties for late submissions and confirm communication channels for urgent deadlines.
For many students, managing multiple online courses simultaneously can be overwhelming, making it challenging to meet all deadlines consistently. By using an online academic assistance service with strict adherence to submission schedules, you can ensure that assignments are submitted on time without compromising quality.
Choosing a reliable online service ensures prompt submission of high-quality assignments while also minimizing stress associated with tight deadlines.

Handling Diverse Subjects

It's crucial to assess the qualifications and experience of the online tutors. Inquire about their success rates in relevant online courses and verify their proficiency in handling multiple courses.
Specialized support for Master's and Ph.D. levels is essential. Confirm the availability of online tutors with expertise in higher education levels and inquire about their ability to provide research assistance and thesis support. It's also important to assess their experience in mentoring advanced academic projects.
The capability to handle a wide range of subjects is vital when considering paying someone to do your online class assignments or discussions. For instance, if you're taking classes across different disciplines such as science, humanities, or business, ensuring that the individual or service has a proven track record of success across these areas is critical.
Having access to specialized tutors who can provide tailored support for advanced academic pursuits like postgraduate studies, online is invaluable. This includes not only being able to assist with coursework but also providing guidance on more complex tasks such as research papers or dissertations.

The Process of Hiring Help

Placing Orders

When you decide to pay someone to do your online class, the process typically starts with placing an order. You need to understand how this online service works, including any customization options available. For instance, some online platforms may offer tailored assistance based on your specific course requirements or deadlines. It's crucial to inquire about terms related to online order modifications or cancellations upfront so that you're aware of the policies in case you need to make changes.
When seeking help with your online class, it's important to communicate your needs effectively when placing orders. This involves providing clear instructions and details about the tasks involved in your online course. By doing so online, you can ensure that the hired individual or service understands exactly what is required and can deliver accurate assistance.

Communication Channels

Assessing communication channels is a vital aspect when considering hiring help for an online class. It's essential to verify the availability of online real-time communication options such as live chat or instant messaging as these can facilitate quick queries and prompt responses from the service provider or tutor.
Moreover, understanding the online response time for queries is crucial since timely communication plays a significant role in ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and within deadlines. Therefore, it's advisable to inquire about how quickly one can expect online responses from tutors or support staff.
Furthermore, verifying accessibility through multiple channels, including online, is beneficial as it ensures that if there are issues with one mode of communication (such as email), alternative methods like phone calls or dedicated messaging platforms can be utilized for seamless interactions.

Impact on Education

Accessibility Benefits

When considering paying someone to do my online class, it's crucial to assess the accessibility benefits. Ensure that the platform or service is compatible with various devices and operating systems. This is essential as it allows students to access their coursework conveniently, whether they are using a laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
Inquire about accommodations for students with disabilities. It's important that the online class provider offers support for individuals who may require special arrangements due to visual, auditory, or physical impairments. This ensures that all students have equal opportunities to engage in their education.
Moreover, confirming the availability of multilingual support is vital. Some students may prefer learning in their native language or require assistance in understanding course materials in a language other than English. Therefore, ensuring that multilingual resources and support are available can significantly enhance the learning experience for diverse student populations.

Success Rates Analysis

Before enrolling in an online class provided by a third party, it's crucial to analyze success rates. Assess statistical data on student achievements from previous courses offered through the platform or service you are considering. Look for evidence of high completion rates and satisfactory performance among students.
Furthermore, inquire about average grade improvements experienced by students who have used this service before. Understanding how much improvement can be expected provides valuable insight into the effectiveness of hiring someone to manage your online classes.
It's also beneficial to verify case studies showcasing successful outcomes resulting from using these services. Real-life examples of individuals who have achieved academic success after availing such services provide tangible evidence of their impact on education.

Addressing Common Concerns

Ethical Implications

When considering paying someone to do my online class, it's essential to address ethical concerns. Service providers should adhere to strict ethical guidelines, ensuring that all work delivered is original and plagiarism-free. It's crucial to inquire about the measures they have in place for preventing plagiarism, such as using reliable plagiarism detection tools and conducting thorough checks before delivering any academic content.
Moreover, when seeking assistance with an online class, clarifying the service provider's policies on academic honesty and integrity is paramount. Students must ensure that the individuals or companies they engage uphold high standards of academic integrity. This includes a commitment to producing original work and abiding by the principles of academic honesty. By discussing these ethical implications with service providers, students can gain confidence in their decision while mitigating potential risks.

Academic Integrity

The importance of upholding academic standards cannot be overstated when contemplating paying someone for assistance with an online class. Emphasizing this aspect not only reminds students of their responsibility but also encourages them to seek help from reputable sources that prioritize academic integrity. Highlighting the significance of submitting original work reinforces the value of learning through individual effort and critical thinking skills development.
Encouraging ethical conduct in seeking academic assistance serves as a reminder for students to approach external support responsibly. While it may be tempting to take shortcuts, emphasizing the long-term benefits of personal growth through education can guide students toward making informed decisions about seeking help with their online classes.

2024.05.20 18:50 FlimsyQuantity3714 ‘95 Suzuki 900r

First time rider and just going off of what I can afford + factoring in insurance costs. For some reason this bike is in my price range >$3k and combined with its age it should get lower rates.
I don’t plan on taking myself to any highways or main roads and I’m going to be getting tips from a few family members who’ve been riding longer than I’ve been alive. I’m aware that 900cc is a lot to handle, but I’m a disciplined enough driver that I think I can handle it if I take things slow.
The main thing about this listing is simply the price. It’s not too good to be true, but it’s almost there and has me a bit suspicious. Seller has a clean title and I also plan on running the VIN if I go to check it out. He did say that the throttle cable snapped, but has been replaced and has a video attached to the listing of the bike driving on a highway. The listing says it has around 40k miles. I’m planning on bringing a family member with me to check it out. It looks good so far, but I don’t want to jump on anything that ends up being a $3k mistake.
Unfortunately most used bikes in my area are priced at MSRP for used 5+ year old models, so this is only one of 3 that I could find at reasonable prices. If it weren’t for the lack of availability, I don’t think I’d be looking at a bike this fast to start. It’s moreso that it’s in a local area and is in my price range in terms of both the asking price and insurance.
I don’t want to link the listing in case someone tries to snipe it from me if it does end up being a decent bike.
Are there any red flags I missed, and any suggestions for things to look at if I end up checking it out in person? Thanks in advance, I could use the advice :)

2024.05.20 18:47 tortugaincognita Follow-Up: My Experience at the NRA Convention

Hey everyone,
Thanks for all the advice and perspectives on my controversial previous post. I decided to attend the NRA conference on the last day (Sunday), and I wanted to share my experience as some of you requested.
Attendance: I decided to go on Sunday to avoid the chaos of Saturday, given that Donald Trump and Greg Abbott were there. From the convention centers social media, the parking lot was full by 9am anyways so I did not want to deal with that either. I registered for the $10 associate membership when I arrived, using a fake name and address because I didn’t want any follow-up mail from them, the guy who helped me register wasn't there to verify my identity, just there to make sure I paid the membership fee. Although they did try to push the more expensive memberships, I only knew about the associate membership from research online and he seemed disappointed I explicitly asked for that one. I plan to donate a larger amount to a cause I believe in to offset this morally—suggestions welcome.
Security: Interestingly, security was pretty lax, no metal detectors or security checking for concealed weapons (which are not supposed to be allowed at the convention center). They were just checking for registration lanyards, which were generic NRA Texas 2024 paper badges. I think sneaking in would have been quite easy if you blended with the crowd. And if you have an old NRA card, I'm not sure if the people at the registration table were actually checking if the membership was valid. The guns on display at most booths weren’t very secure either; they had red zip ties around the trigger guard to show that they were brought by one of the vendors, but the triggers and chambers were unsecured. I have seen far more secure guns at gun stores. Some were attached to walls with cables, but you could still handle them.
Children: There were a lot of kids with their parents, which shouldn't be a problem but the kids here seemed to have learned more about guns from video games than from their parents. Too many kids handling guns with poor trigger discipline. In some cases, parents were unaware or didn’t correct their kids. One kid even pointed a gun with a laser directly at me and just smiled when I noticed. It was concerning to see so many kids (and adults) flagging others. Also, given the rights tendency to accuse liberals/democrats of indoctrinating children, I saw a lot of kids in MAGA merch.
Deals: There were some great deals, even though no guns or ammo were sold at the show. I got a Holosun optic and Surefire light at good discounts with no sales tax, and a free GOSAFE magazine for a Glock 19 (shoutout to these guys for that). The best deal was a Winchester gun cabinet for $65, which I can pick up locally since I work near their offices.
Politics: The amount of Trump merch was more than I've seen ever, and there was a noticeable lack of minority attendance, which stood out given Dallas' demographics. I avoided booths with MAGA merch and overheard conversations about Biden, stolen elections, and the non-existent gun show loophole. However, most people seemed to be there simply because they love guns.
Overall, it was an interesting experience with some good deals, I don't regret going. I got to handle some very cool guns and got a lot of help from the manufacturer reps that were there in making future purchasing decisions. But the political atmosphere and lax security were definitely concerning (TEACH YOUR KIDS ABOUT FIREARM SAFETY). Thanks again for all the advice, and let me know if you have any questions or suggestions for a good cause to donate to!

2024.05.20 16:31 scarsellaj The Hater's Guide To The 2023-24 Premier League Season: Final Matchday Edition

The latest and most thrilling season of English football would also be the most controversial. The amount of times we had issues with refs, VAR, red cards, and blown calls made the NFL refs seem like experts in their craft. Seriously, the best European football league can't even get a video review correct in less than 2 minutes and it drives everyone mad. We also had further proof of Rich 7 favoritism with the FFP punishments dished out. It was absolute chaos, it caused fanbases to melt down like Chernobyl, but it made for amazing shitposting. How did your team do?
Manchester City: Sigh, the Prem is not beating the farmers' league allegations after this. In some way, we all expected this. After their historic treble, everyone assumed City would take a step back. They weren't even the best team in the country and they still found a way to creep up into first place. Their fourth title in five seasons, six under Pep Guardiola. They still have a chance at a double, too. If you're still living in the "Fraudiola" camp, I suggest you touch grass. Do you know understand how fucking insane that is? Sure, you can say Abu Dhabi bankrolled him and now they may be paying for it dearly but that is serious contention for greatest manager of all time. This time he was up against the adversity, too. They went without KDB and Haaland for long periods of time. Phil Foden was rightfully voted PFA Player of the Year for his efforts in their absence. Julian Alvarez took massive strides in becoming the next great Argentine striker...when he can get into the team. Jeremy Doku showed flashes of greatness, and it might spell the end for Jack Grealish. Rodri was Rodri, Ruben Dias was Ruben Dias, you know the deal. Even academy kids made serious progress. Pep won the Champions League without Messi and with a real striker. He's now guided City to another title. Goddammit, can we please get someone to topple this monopoly?
Arsenal: You did it again...you fucking did again. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. You thought you were becoming the reincarnation of Real Madrid. You ended up becoming the red version of Poch's Spurs. Some might even say that Spurs team was better than this team. Arsenal had the title in their grasp again. Then they sat back and drew with City, lost to Villa at home, and in the end, these results cost them. You bottled it again. Bukayo Saka had his best season ever. So did Martin Odegaard. Leandro Trossard made a case for a starting spot. Gabriel Martinelli was sporadic but effective. William Saliba and Gabriel locked down the backline. David Raya won the Golden Glove. Mikkel Arteta has a case for Manager of the Year (likely going to Unai Emery), and they still bottled it. We don't need to rehash how their European campaign went. You should've known Spurs were never going to give you that benefit of the doubt. Why would your local rivals help your title charge? At least you're back in the Champions League, and you showed you could shed some of those demons next campaign, so long as you don't match up with Bayern again. The painful truth is, you went trophyless again. How much longer is the goodwill with Arteta going to last? Doing this once? Forgivable. But twice? Unconscionable.
Liverpool: This was not how Klopp's Last Dance was supposed to go. One trophy, and the League Cup at that, is all Liverpool had to show for it. They hit the worst patch of rotten form at the most inopportune time. You might think losing games twice to Manchester United in a span of a week was bad enough, but to go to Italy and lose to Atalanta? And they kept a clean sheet?? Dear god, they made Crystal Palace look like prime Barcelona at one point. You are fucking cooked, and it shows. Darwin Nunez started to break out, then reverting to forgetting how to play the sport of football entirely. Virgil Van Djik's age showed. Ibrahima Konate shows flashes but is injury- and mistake-prone. Mo Salah is mentally checked out, and it showed with him in only scoring twice in the last 10 matches of the seasons. Him and Klopp arguing on the sideline was peak Liverpool banter era. You literally on the verge of a quadruple AGAIN and you scuffed the run... This team is going to need a massive reset, and that may mean cashing in a few aging stars. New manager Arne Slot will have an absolute gargantuan job ahead of him. With FSG's financial model, it'll be interesting to see who they bring in. But what do you about Mo Salah? Clearly his age is starting show.
Aston Villa: Unai Emery was sacked by Arsenal for "underachieving." When you see the job he did with Villa with half the budget he had at Arsenal and players willing to run through walls for him, you can understand how Villa managed to stay in the Top 4 most of the season. Ollie Watkins had his best season to date. Douglas Luiz become the third-best defensive midfielder in the league, and dispatched a few penalties. Niccolo Zaniolo played a smaller role and still contributed heavily to big wins. It wasn't ever perfect, and there are plenty of wayward results to point out, but Villa has got some of their old mojo back. Get ready, boys, you're going dancing next season. You'll be in the new-look Champions League for the first time since the 1980s. Don't forget: Villa has some European pedigree to them. Sure, it was back when the competition wasn't as fierce as it is now, but respect them. Otherwise all you Madrid fans are going to be shitting themselves when you rock up to Villa Park for the league stage.
Tottenham: Tottenham's season hit some very high highs, and some deeply low lows. A 10-game unbeaten streak to start the season ended with a four losses in a row. Injuries crippled all the progress they made. Ange Postecoglou's all-out attack works, but when it doesn't, it is absolutely terrifying to watch. Hueng-min Son had a nice comeback season. Richarlison finally came good for the club. James Maddison started out well enough and then had a fall-off for the ages, as did Pedro Porro. The backline of Cristian Romero and Micky Van de Ven showed they can be great but they need real discipline in midfield to balance out the high line. But there are still many players that can't get them over the hump. Not to mention, they were derailed by injuries all campaign. Make it 16 years since the last major trophy. Fifth seems fitting for a team still going through an identity and cultural reset. Some supporters think Ange isn't the one for the job. They often forget just how big of a rebuild is needed after losing Harry Kane and other core players over the past five seasons. Those are probably also the people that don't see the positive of the Tottenham money-making machine. Why win trophies when you can host NFL games? Sigh, I just want one Cup, is that too much to ask for? At least they clinched Europa League, I guess.
Chelsea: Todd Boehly will no longer be making the calls about Chelsea's transfers. That should make the fans a little bit happier. If you're keeping score at home, he's only got 1/30 of new signings right. Jury is still out on Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo, Axel Diasi, Mykhalio Mudrk, Noni Madueke, and Levi Colwill. Mauricio Pochettino was trying to build something, but it was hindered by constant setbacks. A massive pile of injuries, extreme fan pressure, and underperforming players signaled it would not be another fruitful season for the Blue Lions. You got beat by a bunch of high school students in the Carabao Cup final, and somehow that wasn't the lowest point of the season. It was the thrashing by Arsenal. Chelsea should feel lucky they snagged Cole Palmer out from under Man City. He's the real Eden Hazard regen, even though he's a bit of a penalty merchant. He dragged Chelsea from finishing outside the Top 10 again. This summer will be a major clear-out. Raheem Sterling, Reece James, Ben Chilwell, and Thiago Silva might or are already leaving. The thinner squad will allow Poch to actually build something...maybe. You're not seriously going to sell Conor Gallagher to Spurs, right?
Newcastle: Eddie Howe can feel sort of vindicated that he guided this Newcastle team to a top 10 finish. They had one of the worst injury sheets in the league this season. The delicate balance of Champions League and the English season exposed their biggest flaw: not enough depth. Sandro Tonali getting suspended for being a degenerate gambler definitely did not help. Nick Pope was out most of the year and Martin Dubravka showed why he's no longer first-choice. Sven Botman and Dan Burn spent time on the sidelines and that killed their defense. Seriously though, they were chucking out Football Manager regens to play critical minutes. That only works in video games. In reality, the club is backed up against the FFP bubble. They will need to sell to buy, and that might mean cashing in on Alexander Isak or Bruno Guiamares. Maybe they'll even cut ties with Tonali and try to recoup some of their money. The richest club in the world is playing inside the rules? I guess they don't want to be the new Man City. I honestly commend them for trying to play within the confines of the rules. Some clubs can't say they do that.
Manchester United: Jim Ratcliffe really had no idea the scope of the rebuild he inherited once he bought his stake in United. He called out the club culture and facilities in the media multiple times, but perhaps it was all reactionary. United had a shit season. And boy do I mean shit. None of their players could stay healthy. Marcus Rashford is entering Dele Alli territory with how bad his falloff has been. There was the Mason Greenwood situation, then the Antony situation, and the Brazilian managed only two league goals across the whole season. Jadon Sancho called out Ten Hag's management and was gleefully banished back to Dortmund, where he started picking up his performances. He's in a Champions League Final...lol. Casemiro and Raphael Varane showed their age. He had a solid run of form but it didn't last. Varane's already said he's done in Manchester. Rasmus Hojlund took 15 games to find his first goal of the season. Alejandro Garnacho is now the best player at the club and even he had beef with Ten Hag's coaching. Bruno Fernandes might be seeking greener pastures. They finished dead last in their Champions League group and were out of Europe by February. Take solace in making the FA Cup final, but you were losing 3-0 to Coventry City, a Championship club, and had to beat them on penalties. Old Trafford may truly be falling down, and it doesn't help with Ten Hag waffling about he is still the best man for the job. Because you know, it was his signings that set the club back so much money. Antony costing 100 million quid needs to be investigated. There's no real sign of progress under INEOS's ownership. It's still too early to judge, but it's clear they will need to make some decisions. Enjoy raiding all your rivals for executives. Apparently "We're Manchester United" still works.
West Ham: Was it a bad season for West Ham? When you deep it, you'd probably say not really. David Moyes started out kinda slow but managed to get the Hammers going in vital moments. Jarrod Bowen continued his remarkable rise even as a center-forward. The pillage of Ajax for Edson Alvarez and Mohamed Kudus was fruitful, even if Kudus's underlying numbers aren't that great. James Ward-Prowse stepped up his game after being freed from the shite coaching at Southampton. Alphonse Areola cemented himself as the true No. 1 in goal. Lucas Paqueta was the real eye candy. So much so he's looking like the heir-apparent for Kevin De Bruyne. He'll cost another small nation's GDP but he was that class. Sure, they didn't reach the Europa final like they wanted to and got knocked out by Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen, but how can you say this was a disappointing season? Disappointing enough to tell Moyes he's done after this season? You're replacing him Julen Lopetegui? I know he did fantastic work with Sevilla, and you may see yourselves as the English Sevilla, but tread lightly. Did you see what happened between Wolves and him? Or what happened in his final season in Seville?
Crystal Palace: Today's top stories: Crystal Palace finished comfortably mid-table for the 11th season in a row. In other news, grass is green. It was a strange but similar season for the Eagles. Spats between ownership over the long-term vision for the club coupled with Roy Hodgson's depressing retirement tour clouded what could've been an opportunity to pounce. With Brighton and Bournemouth shitting the bed, the time was prime to strike. But again, they were let down by inconsistent forwards. Jordan Ayew and Jean-Phillipe Mateta are still struggling to score consistently (At least Mateta is producing now). Odsanne Eduoard is made of glass bones and paper skin. Eberechi Eze, Michael Olise, and Dean Henderson were good enough to keep them afloat. Eze's got enough street cred to have City and Spurs linked to him, but we'll see what premium the Eagles charge. More credit is owed to Oliver Glasner. He was a shrewd appointment, and it showed with his tiki-taka style of play. Remember, he took Frankfrut to a Europa League final win and beat Barcelona and West Ham to do it. Next season should be a moment to capitalize on drops in quality from other mid-table rivals, but you'll probably be back here with me in 2025 with a 12th consecutive mid-table finish. At least this time it's in the Top 10.
Brighton: Brighton was my biggest disappointment for the 23-24 season. Maybe that's too harsh, but what the actual hell happened? There was a lot of squad turnover, understandably affecting the quality. But they still had Evan Ferguson, Karou Mitoma, Lewis Dunk, Danny Welback, Julio Enciso, and Simon Adringa to pick up the slack. Oh wait, almost everyone listed above was injured long-term. Roberto De Zerbi's managerial stock took a massive blow. He couldn't properly juggle the league and European football, especially as the injuries piled up and they were relying on academy kids to play key minutes. There's also rumors of him beefing with club executives about the transfer policy. The drawback of such a unique system: the falloff is inevitable. It ended up causing "irreconcilable differences," and De Zerbi promptly packed his shit and left. At least Brighton can take solace knowing they won their first European group stage and picked up sensational victories against Ajax and Marseille. Proud moments amid a rather shite season. Pick yourselves up and go again, lads. Even though De Zerbi bounced, your ownership will already have his next candidate picked out. Just pray it's not a Graham Potter return.
Bournemouth: The Cherries had another fine season where a lot started to come together. I was skeptical about them parting ways with Gary O'Neil after the job he did, but Andoni Iraola was a shrewd appointment. He actually found ways to unlock Dominic Solanke. Not even Jurgen Klopp could do that. Antoine Semenyo appeared as a servicable mid-table winger. Luis Sinisterra brought the Colombian flare to the South Coast and proved he could be the country's next great hope. Some of the English lads like Lewis Cook carved out key roles, and did just about everything right to ensure another comfortable finish. Bournemouth really were not in any danger of going down. The blueprint is there. I doubt Iraola will be able to take them into European places, but I've been proven wrong by plenty of managers before.
Fulham: Another solid finish for Fulham. Look at you, not yo-yoing even amidst Tony Khan's ridiculous pro wrestling PR drama. The Jaguars of English football showed a lot of fight and a lot of class. The signing of the season is surely Rodrigo Muniz. The Brazilian revolution between him, Andreas Pereira, and the aging Willian was glamorous. Antonee Robinson played like a man reborn and may get a move to a bigger club. USMNT fans couldn't be happier. It was tough not seeing Tim Ream playing week in and week out but he's clearly slowing down and might need replacing. But you can't get rid of Tom Cairney! It's not allowed by order of the streets. I doubt Marco Silva will read this, but he may not even have a choice in the matter. Joao Palhinha likely played his final season at Craven Cottage. Even at his age, he's good enough to get into the Bayern or Arsenal first team. Cash in and replenish, you know the drill. They'll have a lot of work to do this summer.
Wolves: Gary O'Neil is a top manager for the jobs he's done with Bournemouth and Wolves. It was not an easy season for Wolves, but compared to past campaigns, this was fantastic. O'Neill successfully unlocked Hwang Hee-Chan and Matheus Cunha. That alone is massive. Toti Gomes flourished in midfield. As did Pablo Sarabia. Pedro Neto showed flashes of brilliance...when he wasn't struck down by injury. Jose Sa returned to form and kept the team comfortably floating between between the top half and upper-mid talbe. What more can you say of Wolves? They were one of the better mid-tier teams this season, and that was after Julen Lopetegui walked out just days before the season began. You thought the Wolves were dead? Oh no, they are still on the hunt. Unfortunately, their pack is likely to find new homes with more money. I think you get the metaphor.
Everton: It was meant to be a Sean Dyche masterclass. Playing attractive football has never been his repertoire, yet that was exactly what he did with this Everton. Meanwhile, Everton fans are still steaming about the points deductions they underwent. I can understand why they feel this way, considering there are much worse violators and they're being made an example of. Yet Dyche thrives on these situations. He could only collect so many points with this Everton group but they did play well enough and have some decent talent. Jared Branthwaite is clearly an upgrade over some of their past center-backs. Consider this his window-shopping season. DCL flirted with injuries and still managed to score key goals. Beto hasn't come good yet but give it a little time. Idrissa Gana Gueye played well for his age, and Amadou Onana too had his window-shopping season. Fear not, Toffees. Even with the points deduction, you will finish comfortably bottom-half, and had it not been for the Premier League's hypocrisy, you would've been as high as 12th. This is a huge moment, because you're also moving into Bramley Moore next season. Godspeed, Everton.
Brentford: Ummm, hello? Anybody here want to win a fucking football match? Anyone want to collect three points? The good vibes at the Gtech Community Stadium are starting to falter. Brentford's feel-good story is starting to get a reality check: they lack significant quality. The plan was to continue Thomas Frank's Nordic Connection since it had produced results in the past. They got Ivan Toney back around mid-winter, but did it really change their fortunes? He wasn't anywhere close to his past self. Too much time on the couch will do that. Yoane Wissa and Bryan Mbuemo did step up in attack, but without Rico Henry and Ethan Pinnock in defense it was too easy to carve through them. Mark Flekken did his best to mitigate the damage, but it was not enough to save them from a 16th-place finish. Nathan Collins was ok business but he clearly needs more time to develop to the system. Sergio Regulion put in some decent shifts on load, but not enough to justify keeping him permanently. You passed: DON'T! GET! RELEGATED! But for the love of god, please fix this shit before 24-25. Time to reset on the squad, find another plucky veteran willing to take a pay cut for playing time.
Nottingham Forest: Speaking of points deduction, nobody feels bad for Forest. They made more signings than Chelsea and clearly did it by some fishy means. It was mostly because they couldn't get Atletico Madrid to buy Brennan Johnson, so they had to accept Tottenham's lower offer. That doesn't excuse past transgressions. Then that wild social media statement that called out the Premier League's officiating. Secretly, everyone loved it but also wondered how they had the audacity to say such a thing. The only thing they can't defend is themselves. Steve Cooper, the architect of their return to Premier League and first-season survival, was canned for Nuno Espirito Santos. It kinda worked...I guess. They're not in a relegation spot even with their punishment but they definitely look the part. Gio Reyna came here on loan and had minimal impact. Morgan Gibbs-White looks good but clearly has flaws. Chris Wood is still their only reliable striker. Matt Turner was benched for a 32-year old Mats Sels and that didn't fix any of their goalkeeper problems. They're like a frat house toilet: always leaking. They'll definitely be another clear-out this summer.
Luton Town: At some point, results start to matter. It felt like Luton realized that too late. They did put up some impressive results like a 4-4 draw to Newcastle and a 4-goal dismantling of Brighton, but they struggled mightily. It was expected, but they really did give better teams runs for their money. Ross Barkley and Andros Townsend came off the couch to help. Barkley made a case for Comeback Player of the Year. Townsend provided some experience but football skills...not so much. Elijah Adebayo and Alfie Doughty tried to get the creativity going. Carlton Morris managed to post a double-digit goal season. They had pieces but could never put it together fully. The defense...good god, the defense! It couldn't stop a beach ball from going over the goal line. You brought in Daiki Hashioka to stabilize things, and all he did was score own goals and turn the ball over. It's sad that Luton is going back to the 2nd tier. Rob Edwards's job is probably safe, but can he remake the magic of 2022-23? Might be a step too far. Honestly, I'm more sad to see Jeffrey the Labrador go. The goodest of boys makes the goodest of club mascots.
Burnley: I can only applaud Burnley's ownership for not thinking like a yo-yo club. They chose Vincent Kompany because he is the anti-Sean Dyche. Free flowing, tiki taka football, playing out from the back with inverted fullbacks. Even if all the haters wanted to see him go to bring in a relegation dogfighter like Big Sam, the executives kept their man. Truly cut from the same cloth as Pep, but without any of the Pep players. That was the real downfall of Burnley's return to the Prem. This group won 101 points in the Championship last year? They didn't even manage to get 30 this time around. Kompany played anti-survival ball, and it didn't work. Sure, they had talent with guys like Vitinho and Jacob Bruud Larsen, but after it was shite through and through. At least Kompany had the audacity to play an expansive style, but survival needed more defensive rigidity. Go win it again, Clarets.
Sheffield United: If Burnley was ass, Sheffield United was mega-ass. They played like a Championship club, so it's only natural they got clobbered like a Championship club. They brought in Ben Brereton-Diaz and his fake Chilean skillset and he was...actually kinda good. It can't be said for the rest of them. Ollie McBurnie and Cameron Archer seem like the standouts, but nobody on this team was convincing enough to warrant a move to a bigger team except maybe BBD. He'll likely sign for Everton as the replacement for DCL. The club thought bringing back Chris Wilder in place of Paul Heckingbottom was the move, and it did next to nothing. Setting a record for most goals conceded in a single season is hilarious levels of incompetent defending. Conglats, you are now the new Norwich. Wear your badge of shame in anguish and go win the bloody lot in the Championship.

2024.05.20 13:22 throwaway014210 Returning to work post-concussion

I work with my family for a small business. Most of my family members are boomers. A little less than two weeks ago I suffered a concussion. For the last couple weeks I have been pretty out of it. Initially my vision would randomly become unfocused and blurry, I had brutal headaches, and my ears would ring most of the day.
Come to today I finally feel like it’s ok to get back to work. I’ve been at work less than an hour. In this time I was told it’s great that I’m back, but according to my father (who in many ways is a quintessential boomer) I could have done more while I was gone, in terms of calling suppliers and customers, and I could have come in one night to catch up on paperwork. To give a bit of reference I was home for nearly two weeks with no; TV, video games, and very limited screen time which was pretty much due to my gf who works from home being super vigilant about me just resting (Without her I probably wouldn’t have healed because I lack self-discipline/am addicted to my phone). I just wish boomers would operate in reality, like for the past week and a half I’ve been getting throbbing headaches, but to them it’s like, “but you were home not working, so you could have done a little”. It’s like they don’t understand things or trust professional opinions until something happens to them.
