“I want to be human. I want to be human.” I repeat to myself, as I stare into the dusty bathroom mirror.
Doesn’t look like anyone’s been in this bathroom since nineteen-o-dirt. I’m surprised I even found anything way out here. Ran into a couple people on the drive over, but none too friendly.
If I were a betting man, there’s gotta be some place nearby I can get some gas. Car ran out about a mile back, I’ve been hoofing it ever since. Now I’m exhausted, real glad I can’t overheat.
What the hell is with this place anyway? One mile is barren, the next is overgrown. Pockets of leafy green, stitched into this khaki pant leg of earth. It’s confusing to say the least.
“I want to be human.” One last time for good measure, then I throw my bag over my shoulder and step out of the bathroom. Peeking down both ways of the hall, to make sure no one heard me talking to myself.
“Who am I kidding, this place hasn’t seen a soul since my dad got here.” I mumble to the seemingly empty building.
“And it still ain’t seen one yet.” a voice calls from down the stretch of room doors.
I freeze in place, something about that voice seemed familiar. I can’t recall where I had heard it, but l definitely have.
“I’m not here to hurt anyone, just looking for some place safe to stay.” I call down to the disembodied voice.
“A refugee, huh?” A man dressed in a ranchers hat, and a poncho steps from around a door frame. it’s about twenty feet to my right.
“Aren’t we all.” his face is covered by the hats wide brim, but his voice is menacing. “You know, you’re one tough son of a bitch to track down.”
I knew it was stupid to stop in a motel, broad daylight and all. I just wanted to wash up a bit, then I’d be on my way.
“If you’re going to kill me, you better do it quick. Cause hell’s comin’ right behind me.“ I shout, seeing if he’ll call my bluff.
“Sly little devil, but no one is comin’ for ya. Not yet anyhow.” he kicks the base-board of the hall with his spurred boots. “Now, you can either come to me or…” he pauses, letting out a long sigh. “You’re gonna have to do your running on crutches.” He’s serious, hand already on his hip.
“Out of all the hunters, it had to be you.” I wasn’t going to run, there was no point. But how did he know? I stepped into the hall.
“My scouts watched you leave y’all’s little empire of bones. Gave me where you were headed.” He said smugly, I could hear the grin behind his words. He was swaying on his hips. (Could he read my mind?) “Never thought you’d fly the nest, but whaddya know? Looks like fallen angels, regrow wings.”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever. Spare me the monologue, Jesus! Is this all the time with you?” I put both hands together, and slowly approach so he doesn’t get too antsy. The last thing I want is to catch a bullet from a professional cosplayer.
As I approach, I can see the long hair poking out from under his hat. It’s greasy, probably been on the road for awhile. I know I have. His beard is immaculate though, full, and medium length. I almost ask him where he finds a barber out here. My guessing is he cuts it himself, unless it just always looks that way. The thought annoys me.
Stripping me of my backpack, and searching for more goods, which he finds… (my knife, and a half eaten raw scrap of meat I’d been snacking on.) He wraps my hands in a rope binding. After he’s satisfied the knot is secured, he pats my head.
“There, there, kid. I ain’t gonna hurt ya, but your pa? Yeah, ole’ Baphy might. Once we tell him where you are that is.” That word, kid. It always stung, but this time was especially potent in its venom. His hand grips my shoulder, and pushes me toward the exit.
This place is in ruin, dust on the walls. The floors are starting to decay. Everything in here has either been broken, or scavenged. It’s picked clean. I can’t help but wonder what it was like before, what kind of people stayed here? As we enter the light outside, he steps in front of me. Strapping my pack onto his horse.
A beautiful creature, all white. Shiny, and well fed. No gas required. Dammit, why didn’t I think of that?
“You know he’ll kill us both. My dad doesn’t forgive, like you.” I call out, hoping he’ll show some semblance of mercy.
He finishes fixing my gear to his nag, and turns to me. “Oh, I don’t do the forgiving thing no more.” He steps to me, I can feel his breath on my face. “I fucking hate my neighbors.”
He points to the horse, and steps aside. I guess he wants me to climb on? I step forward and put one foot in a stirrup, while he helps me climb up and over. I laugh to myself. “Look ma, no hands.”
“If I find out who she is, she’ll be buried right beside you and pa.” The laughing stopped, he was serious.
“So, where are you taking me?” I managed to choke out.
“Don’t you worry about that kid, you just make sure you don’t fall off. Can’t make a deal with the devil, if all I have to offer is damaged goods.” He kicked the horse twice, clicked his tongue, and we were off

As you all can see this poster is supposed to inspire quitting cigarettes, but upon seeing this I could not help but go to the gas station and grab a pack of smokes. All the animals in this poster, especially the monkey, look cool as shit and unfortunately make me want to keep smoking cigarettes. Has anyone else had this problem?

My neighborhood got his super hard by the tornado and I still don’t have powe internet (the signal has been in and out) and neither do the gas stations around me so I can’t get gas. The flavor is more of a blueberry than anything. It's not a fresh blueberry. It's more of a sweet, cooked blueberry. One person said it tasted like cough syrup, and I get why. To me, it doesn't taste medicinal, just syrupy. The muffin flavor is surprisingly good. The muffin smell is stronger than the taste tho. I think the high amount of carbonation distracts from the bakery flavor. It's not a super sweet one - just as sweet as an actual muffin. I actually really liked this flavor. They did it well! I think it's worth the trip to Sheetz to try Blueberry Muffinz just because of how weird it is. |

I was a was approved credit card with Credit One Bank. The credit card was opposed to arrive on May 13 however on May 14 I received a notification that the card was activated through the automated system and it was two fraudulent transactions of $50 at Exxon gas station and another transaction of $12 at Jamaican Queens, New York. I have called Credit One and asked them and now they're refusing to provide details of the person who activated my credit card without my permission and now they're saying that it's gonna take over 60 days for an investigation to complete and they won't release important information so I can make a police report the withheld information about who stole my credit card and who activated it. I have contacted a manager of the fraud department for Credit One and now they're trying to lie and say that I activated a credit card with my credit card was stolen and I don't have access to my credit card number. also, I just got a notification today, Sunday, May 19 that a credit card statement was made and when I go to log into the Credit One app now I cannot see none of my transactions or information regarding the card, which is extremely suspicious and concerning.

I discovered Shera's videos quite a few years ago, and loved her humour as well as her message to level up. I started noting down all her little gems. They give me motivation, and a giggle too. I am older, in my fifties, and have been happily married for over 15 years, so I don't need her dating, sugaring, or 'get the bag' advice, but I do love her level up advice. How do you become the prize?
If you don’t start as the prize, then you aren’t the prize. If you don’t know if your mind that you are already the prize then you can never be the prize.

How to be more feminine so I can be spoiled more?
It’s a lifestyle. You have to act, fake it until you make it, and create a lifestyle. The days that you don’t feel very feminine are the days that you have to use more of your masculine energy.
Remember to always have a space to come back to that is feminine, and recharge yourself with feminine energy. Create a more feminine environment, wear more feminine clothes, listen to music that is going to help your femininity instead of diminishing it.
Keep things that you like to do feminine and do feminine things. Going shopping, getting your nails or hair done, buying shoes, picking out décor for our rooms, decorating tables, going on picnics, watching girly movies.
Recharge yourself by doing some of those things. You need to be able to recharge your femininity at least once or twice a week.

Live the type of life you want already. It may not be on the scale that you want to live it at, but it needs to be a version of it. For example, if you want to live a soft, feminine life make sure your current life reflects that: your current environment, the current way you dress, the current way you walk, talk and act.
The more you receive, the better treatment you receive, if you can get a provider who can let you live a more feminine life, a softer life, then it's just going to get better and better.
But already live the life you want to live, that way they can only improve you and they see how you treat yourself and see what you like and that’s what they are going to be giving you. Your goals will be met just by dating.

Your stock should go up after you get married, not down. If your stock is not rising after marriage you’re doing it backwards. That means still investing into yourself, your beauty, your clothing, into your stash (money, wealth and investments). If you got married and your stock plummeted, that’s your fault.

Loving yourself means putting yourself first as a priority. Knowing your worth and value and not taking any crap from anybody because you value yourself, you love yourself. That’s all loving yourself means. And not talking down about yourself. And knowing that you deserve what you want in life.
Once you do that other people will as well – men, co- workers, your boss, parents, spouse, brother, sister, cousin, whoever. In fact they may start to be desperate for your approval. So make sure you’re putting yourself first.
Don’t be always talking about the other person and what they want or what they think. Don’t care who they are. Don’t care about other people or their spouse or the person they’re interested in. It’s not about them, it’s about you. If they can’t recognise you and they don’t like you, then you are wasting time.
If you have to sit there and be puzzled about why someone is not responding properly or why they’re not doing this or that, it means they don’t like you so just move on and stop trying to waste time worrying about it. You already know that in the back of your mind; you’re just hoping for a different outcome that there won’t be.
Make sure that when you realise you are putting other people before yourself as a priority then you’re not going to get the type of man or people attracted to you that you need. When you can get somebody in the click of a finger and they’re not used to that it means you are valuable and that they are not necessary. They are very unnecessary and therefore they feel like you have even more value because you don’t need them. You don’t need them, they need you. That’s why they seek you out. That’s why they call you, that’s why they ask you out.
Make sure you’re not getting caught up in silliness. If they’re not putting you first, you’re gone. Or you put them on ice; that means you let them figure it out and when they start acting right again then you allow them back into your life. Three years ago I was getting yelled at a public train station (which we had to take because neither of us had a car) by my dusty disgusting ex. I lived in a cheap apartment with four unsavory roomates and their boyfriends. Now I live in a luxury high rise with a conceirge and valet. All I did today was get a facial, sit by the pool and shop. I don’t have to worry about a SINGLE THING and every man in my life treats me like a queen. I’m truly breaking generational curses; my dad left my mom with four kids alone while she worked at Denny’s waitressing overnight. Your stock should go up after you get married, not down. If your stock is not rising after marriage you’re doing it backwards. That means still investing into yourself, your beauty, your clothing, into your stash (money, wealth and investments). If you got married and your stock plummeted, that’s your fault.

Loving yourself means putting yourself first as a priority. Knowing your worth and value and not taking any crap from anybody because you value yourself, you love yourself. That’s all loving yourself means. And not talking down about yourself. And knowing that you deserve what you want in life.
Once you do that other people will as well – men, co- workers, your boss, parents, spouse, brother, sister, cousin, whoever. Whoever is in your life at the moment will recognise that you love yourself and that you don’t have to submit to them or that you’re not desperate for their approval. In fact they may start to be desperate for your approval. So make sure you’re putting yourself first.
Don’t be always talking about the other person and what they want or what they think. Don’t care who they are. Don’t care about other people or their spouse or the person they’re interested in. It’s not about them, it’s about you. If they can’t recognise you and they don’t like you, then you are wasting time.
If you have to sit there and be puzzled about why someone is not responding properly or why they’re not doing this or that, it means they don’t like you so just move on and stop trying to waste time worrying about it. You already know that in the back of your mind; you’re just hoping for a different outcome that there won’t be.
Make sure that when you realise you are putting other people before yourself as a priority then you’re not going to get the type of man or people attracted to you that you need. When you can get somebody in the click of a finger and they’re not used to that it means you are valuable and that they are not necessary. They are very unnecessary and therefore they feel like you have even more value because you don’t need them. You don’t need them, they need you. That’s why they seek you out. That’s why they call you, that’s why they ask you out.
Make sure you’re not getting caught up in silliness. If they’re not putting you first, you’re gone. Or you put them on ice; that means you let them figure it out and when they start acting right again then you allow them back into your life. If you’re chasing behind someone, if you’re worrying about someone who ghosts you then you’re not putting yourself first.
And that means you don’t love yourself. A lot of people were taught to act a certain way – not cocky etc – if you don’t, all people see you as is a doormat. You can let down your guards later when they are fully invested in you and aren’t going anywhere, but until that happens they are there to impress you.

Three years ago I was getting yelled at a public train station (which we had to take because neither of us had a car) by my dusty disgusting ex. I lived in a cheap apartment with four unsavory roomates and their boyfriends. Now I live in a luxury high rise with a conceirge and valet. All I did today was get a facial, sit by the pool and shop. I don’t have to worry about a SINGLE THING and every man in my life treats me like a queen. I’m truly breaking generational curses; my dad left my mom with four kids alone while she worked at Denny’s waitressing overnight. If it weren’t for Shera’s wisdom I don’t know where I would be today but I just give thanks every day that I saw the light. This is my one and only life so why shouldn’t I be living peacefully and bougie.
It’s crazy how fast life can chance when you realize your worth and act on it. Keep on inching further and further; the more luxurious things you do the more the rest of your life catches up. It literally started with me going to the expensive nail salon instead of the cheap one. Then I felt like I deserved more. I moved into a nicer apartment that was out of my budget at first, then a nicer car, then I started buying designer bags and now I live in an ultra-luxurious place. Small steps and the rest of your life will catch up in time. Of course look your best every day and be healthy. At any weight my mental game was tight, it was good. I could get anything I wanted, so it never really held me back. The only thing that would ever make me feel insecure about anything is… I really don’t have a lot of insecurities anymore. I had the normal insecurities of a child. But when I grew up and I understood that you could take your power from any situation, you no longer have insecurities.
If I was insecure about my weight, I wouldn’t be up here on YouTube, and if someone says something about how I look, I don’t care. I say Okay yeah and so what? I’m eating good, I’m living good. It doesn’t bother me, because that’s not what defines me. I’m gonna get paid skinny or fat. I’m gonna be happy at whatever makes me feel happiest. So it’s all about how you feel about yourself and how you value yourself. You don’t base your self-worth on what other people think about you.
And the reason why I teach people you gotta look good if you want to turn heads and make men cross the room is because if you are trying to get a date, yes, you have to be concerned with what other people find attractive. But that should not ever play a role in your own personal self-esteem.

I wanted to create a sort of interactive choose-your-own-adventure cyberpunk story set in 2124 Los Angeles. I prompted ChatGPT to essentially create a story and world that revolves around common themes within a typical CyberPunk setting such as rampant crime, corrupt cops and politicians, massive drug usage, mega-corporations out of control, poverty, and technology blurring the lines between humanity. One of my favorite video games lately of all time is CyberPunk 2077, so I just wanted to create something similar that I could experience and live through in a different interactive way while also testing out ChatGPT out of boredom. Here are some of the results from the simulation. I'll denote "USER INPUT" as anything I wrote or input, and "CHAT GPT" anytime it outputs anything. Hello all I started my Homelab because I live in BFE (15 min drive to a small town with a gas station). My internet before getting the wife on board of Starlink was at best 15mb/s. So we got a Power edge R620 to be a Plex server and NAS for our family. My issue is now that the Starlink router doesn't do static IPs so the Proxmox static IP gets taken by another on my network. I know this is a minor issue but I want a Firewall so I can do static IPs but I also want to make it that mine and wife's devices take priority or say the kids stuff. My plan at the moment is a Zimaboard PFsense with a wireless AP attached. Until I can get a dedicated firewall. My brother is in tech and is giving me some ideas but he likes the nuclear options on most things.

 | I was tired of mixing and getting gas just for a weed trimmer (or whacker like my family always called it). Then I saw that Lowe’s had an Ego battery version for $159. The old Poulan Pro gas powered I bought from Benny’s during their last month worked but the string spool broke. I had put a Shakespeare weed warrior blade head on it so I didn’t have to deal with line anymore and it worked great. It’s lighter, as with all their products it is very well built, the string does come out with a light tap (unlike the other) and has more than enough power for what I need to do. It came with a half charged 56v 2.5ah battery. It took about 20 minutes for a full charge. After about 30 minutes of heavy use (first time I have trimmed this season), the battery had 3 of five lights still lit. It also comes with a charger, so since I have the mower, I know have two, which is nice. My two concerns are they don’t come with a strap and the handle is a bit flexible. The strap was an additional $20 so an easy fix and even the higher end models it would be an additional purchase. The handle though, I don’t know how long that will actually last. Two of my neighbors bought these last year and haven’t had an issue, but they also have less trimming to do. I’m sure I can get an aftermarket handle if need be. It also gives you the arm shakes on your lead arm afterward. All in all, I’m happy I made the purchase. While some folks complain about the head when having to load more string, I’ll probably put the Shakespeare one on it and avoid any issues. Had I spent more, they have heads that load string in mere seconds, but considering I will only have to use this every other week, it didn’t make sense to me to spend more money. |

The reason why I focus on policy is because you can then ignore all the news media outlets that just want your clicks. Each political party in the US always has a policy plan they post. But those are boring so the news never talks about it really. They might have an article here and there. But it's more of a reality TV show now. By focusing on policy. You can make your own educated opinion. And never have to deal with any news stations. You know, the places that should be reading the policy plans and discussing them. With that being said.
I'm curious to know what the members of this sub feel about the Republican Party policy plan for 2025 if they win the presidential election.

We call these apolitical positions. These workers handle everything from SNAP, to helping manage our banking systems, license plates, food regulations, etc. Essentially all the stuff that "never changes" between administrations.
Well. The Heritage Foundation, a billion dollar think tank funded by conservative groups. Has a plan to remove every apolitical appointee and replace them with people that swear loyalty to Trump and the conservative party.
That is there actual policy plan. It's stated in project 2025. I personally find it alarming compared to the Democratic policies. Which are pretty run of the mill policies. But they aren't "Nuke the administrative state and replace with sycophant's."
The other thing I find disturbing is how totally organize the conservative movement is. They have a single 900 page policy plan that everyone is behind. And Democrats are like, just a grab bag of different policies from different groups. Not as focused as the Republican party is.
Clearly I'm going to support the democratic party this upcomming election. But I do it because of policy. It's not a vote for Joe Biden because I like the guy. It's just about the policy. And that's all it should ever be about in a Democracy. Just my 2 cents.
I'm interested to see what you all have to say. Disagree or no. Let's have an actual discussion about policy.

You watch as another fleet, a large cargo ship with some fuel carriers and a heavy escort, enters normal space outside of the standard traffic entering and exiting the system before being vaporised by the condenser's security systems. Further scans show Path members in the graveyard formed from their attack force, before they are hoovered up by automated salvage vessels, a reminder of why a frontal assault is not recommended.
The first destination of your shuttlecraft is Culann, the industrial centre of the Hybrasil system. Your ship travels to one of the more sparsely populated sectors of the pseudo-eucomopolis world before heading down. Even in the industrial sector, the chaotic heart of the planet is palpable. Street vendors on every corner, streets filled to the brim with people and buildings browned with pollution and use, or as the people of Culann call it "soul". Although Culann is one of the less pleasent places to live in the galaxy, the inhabitants maintain a firm sense of pride in being the heart of a major industrial empire and a blitz spirit towards the hardships found living in a planet-wide industrial slum. Whilst the meeting place is on one of the lower levels, it is far from the bottom, a place home to unkown terrors as is standard of a world such as Culann. You meet with the Faction Paradox agent who hands you your Eochu Bres passports before running through the plan as is standard. Get to the planet, enter the complex, reach the location and breach the vault. As your ships leave the artificially sustained atmosphere of the ex-gas giant you move past the Starship Bazaar, a gargantuan space station surrounded by more ships than your scanners can count.
Your ships is able to pass through the passport blockade of Eochu Bres with little to no difficulty and enter the planet's interdiction field. The various branch complexes each leave their marks on the planet's cold surface. The great agri-rings of Trion Agriculture, hundreds of miles wide each, sustained by terraforming megastructures that maintain the optimum climates for each of the rings. This starkly contrasts with the mountains that play home to the Trion Security complex, peppered by constant small arms fire that act as training for both Trion's military and mercenary branch. Your ship passes the Trion Shipping complex, the only one not to be based on the planet itself. While less sizable than the Culann Starship Bazaar, it still maintains a respectable amount of traffic as it controls the flow of goods into and out of the planet. Finally, your ship flies over the main corporate complex, guided in by an air traffic control officer who makes sure to check your permissions over three times and probably sends it to a higher up to be checked as well. The Corporate complex is the polar opposite of Culann, where Culann is chaotic and polluted, the Corporate complex is clean and controlled. Every shop has a standardised rotor of goods, every piece of public transport runs on time to the second with no privately owned vehicles in sight and every section of the city is surgically designed to be as efficient as possible. You finally find your way to the base of Trion Tower, the map leading to the datavault uploaded to all your PDAs, let the job commence.

I have a 6.75 hp mower and I admit that I push it places that I should not push it. In the past my sacrificial mower was a 3.75 hp machine so most of my experience is with that.
So I was out clearing off some places around the pond and stopping it hitting mud and what not. I noticed it was starting to click and the engine was starting to shake. This happened a lot in my old pusher and it meant I either the mounting bolts were loose or I had more spider cracks around the holes in the deck. Either one of which is a pretty easy fix, so I was not too concerned. This one.. I guess the bigger engine made a difference because it broke two of the damn engine mounts. The pieces are still there with the bolts still in them, they just cracked off the engine.
So, I am wondering what the best option is. I have zero experience with aluminum, but I do have some of those aluminum brazing rods and I do have one (old, but still sealed) spool of aluminum mig wire, and the spool gun for my mig welder. I have never used it. I think I just have CO2 for gas now, not the argon mix.
What do you think the best bet is for a fix? I do have gas cutting torches so I have some heat. I was pondering just heating the part on the engine and the part that cracked off up, all in place with the bolt still in it and hitting it with the brazing stuff. You can slap that one around anyway you want, but both came up clean. Second, I have never seen a company that is paying dividends go under whith out, completely eliminating the dividends first (RILY still pays a dividend and baby bonds are all current--none are in any default). Third, business has been good with lots of new hires, new capital makets raises and fees and their business seems to be thriving. Shorts will try to mislead all of us with their lies and deciept but if we hold strong I believe that the stock will go to at least 50 ish in the short term where they did their secondary. I believe at that point, RILY may run into a bit of resistance. However, a squeeze could easily send us through that to new highs. Patience is the key as they have stated all this in their press releases in the recent past. Lots of posts discussing "how high" and "how soon." As others have observed, correctly, no one knows. However, I think we can look at financials, and past price, to get a good indication of a reasonable range, after any "squeeze dust settles." Let's recognize a few things: A) It's a growing, and historically very profitable business. It's not GME (dying company with obsolete business model). B) It rewards its shareholders with regular dividends, and large special dividends when profits are high. C) It spent a year (early 2021 to early 2022) around $70/share. Plus or minus $20. Hi there, I've been experiencing a rat infestation for the past 6 months or so and am finally looking to do something about it. Below is my plan and I've love any feedback. For some background, I live in a densely populated area, on the ground floor with a back yard around 30' wide by 80' deep. There are neighboring yards but mine seems to have the only burrow holes I can see. I believe they're also in the basement, but thank god I've never seen any in my apartment (or mice or bugs for that matter). Here's my plan:

I’ll choose a central burrow entrance, preferably during dusk or dawn when the rats are likely inside. I’ll light the Gasser and insert it into the hole, then cover the hole with a cinderblock to trap the gas inside. I’ll find smoke escaping other holes and cover those spots with cinderblocks as well. Next, I’m thinking of setting up bait stations with Bait Block Anticoagulant Rodenticide around the perimeter of the yard and along walls in the basement. I’ll check the bait stations every few days initially, then weekly. I’ll regularly inspect the burrow entrances to see if new ones appear or if old ones are being reopened. I’ll also coordinate with neighbors to see if they mind me going in their yards if necessary.
