MATCH PREVIEW

Is it an understatement to say it’s been an “interesting few months” following our Chelsea FC Women? Starting with a loss to Arsenal on 31 March, the past seven matches have seen Emma Hayes’ perennial trophy-winners drop out of the Conti Cup, FA Cup, and Women’s Champions League while also stomaching a 3-4 league loss to Liverpool. But the ending scenes of Emma Hayes’ final season in the WSL are still to be written with these final matches – The league title race looked in City’s favour after our dropped result to the Reds, until Arsenal pulled out a 2-1 victory over the Manchester side.
That left an opening for us to climb back up the table, but what about the seven goals separating us with Gareth Taylor’s side? Well, Chelsea launched the heavy artillery against Bristol City Women on 5 May, with Guro Reiten leading an emphatic 8-0 victory that now has us one goal above City in the calculations, and three points back with a game in hand.
We have two difficult games left against Tottenham and United, but with discipline and diligence Chelsea could once again grasp the league title as players and fans prepare to close the curtain on this illustrious era. Chelsea do have an 8-0-0 record against Spurs, per the club site.
Chelsea will be without Jelena Cankovic, Mayra Ramirez, and Lauren James due to injury; Sam Kerr and Mia Fishel remain out as well. Captain Millie Bright has returned.
Also, a huge congratulations to youngster Aggie Beever-Jones for receiving her first call-up to the Lionesses!! Part of Emma's comments on Aggie:
"I’m proud that a club like ours wants to develop players. She's been with us since she was eight, she been on a journey and gone on loan to different clubs. Now she has come back here and the effort she put in for the shirt in that Bristol game was unbelievable. She set the tone for the team from the front and it [the Lionesses selection] is no more than she deserves."

Ive played vanilla xcom games to a ridiculous amount, no Ironman legendary runs or anything but im close to 20 playthroughs on wotc vanilla.
Im on my second attempt at lwotc, i went in blind the first time and got taken out when the assasin attacked the avenger, looked into tutorials and doing better now that i have a better grasp of whats going on.
My problem is that im now paranoid of the strategic layer, im playing on veteran, and the number of flawless missions ive had is kinda ridiculous. I just encountered my first andromedon and its the first mission ive lost anyone, (got ambushed/ flanked by every pod on the map at the same time with my weakest squad.)
Does the game get harder from here or does it stay about the same? Im paranoid of the strategic layer like i said but its too easy in tactical for me to really enjoy.

The Heavy Plasma Rifle just doesn't bring enough to the table to justify dropping an Alien Heavy Weapon on it, but I think it has enough to contend with the only thing heavy rifles have ever contended with: assault rifles. If the Heavy Plasma Rifle required only an Alien Rifle instead of an Alien Heavy Weapon I would think about building one before the END of the end-game! But it seems to be hard coded, rather than in the ini. I don't know how to do magical hex surgery (yet), so if someone already knows the how amd where to change that requirement I would be extremely grateful.

Recently, I can't even complete a 15-minute mission without having to "replace" the entire squad at least twice. Game dc someone out of the game every now and then. Sometimes one person and sometimes suddenly I'm alone. For a test, I joined a friend and i got tp back to ship after a short while. Look I understand that konami has transferred from being an f2p to pay2win, and eventhough its sad we could all still bear with it, but damn sake in the name of Rummenigge can you fix your damn online matches, Here are the issues :
1.) what's this damn input delay, 1 am an og pes player, you didn't have this before or atleast on this large scale where players take an eternity to react and no its not your server issue when it happens mostly when facing low squad power oppo, I get you are trying to balance out, but what's the use when I played for damn years building my squad and one guy outta nowhere in a month can defeat me due to it
2.) Why are my players even epics with such High physicality and stats getting thrown of by the likes of even base cards, are they not able to hold the ball even for a damn second ?
3.) Thru ball attacking is dead, every damn time I give a high power thru ball it's getting intercepted and controlled like they have some damn magnets in their shoes, and what's this damn yoga split interception, is this a joke?😑
4.) Attackers playing hide and seek behind defenders, srsly? They make a run and then hide behind defenders, I mean what the hell??
5.) What in the world is this Chinese population defending as soon as my attacker gets the ball there will be atleast 3 from defense closely packed, forget that how in the world is even messi intercepting balls better thar my defenders?are u serious coinami💀
Nb:I have many more problems to say but I know this rant is of no use, neither they gonna listen nor they gonna fix any of these, there used to be times I genuinely felt joy playing this game, then it became frustration and now I just accepted its no more the game we used to know..

The update has made my controller binds not work. I have double tap down to select mines, double tap right for melee weapon and double tap left for sidearm , but pressing these now does nothing. I’ve tried clearing and setting them back up that way and restarting the game to no avail. Any other controller user experience this?
I also can’t order my squad to stay in place which is obnoxious.

About 8 hours ago I opened level 59 of Squad Journey and got 10,000 coins, but now, when I opened the game, I noticed that I had rolled back to the beginning of level 58. Restarting the game does not help, and if you click on the 10,000 coins icon at level 59, it will say that the reward has already been collected. I think it was because of the start of the Tara event.

I’m praying that a vet or two can give me some direction on where to go from here, I’ve broken down the key parts of my current roster below. Sorry for the long read, tl:dr down the bottom.

  1. 115k Phoenix: cRex R4 the rest R3 (LSB) all zetas and omi on hera, cRex and Kannan
  2. 109k Padme: GK R5 the rest R3 (LSB) zetas: padme lead and Ahsoka
  3. 107k CLS: all G12+, CLS R3, missing zeta on his lead, Chewie’s unique and Chewpio

If you’ve gotten this far you can tell as well as I can that I’ve spread myself too thin.
To me my only complete team is Phoenix which shreds. Imp Troopers steamroll most of what they’re up against at their gear level typically, CLS has been a solid option on offence 90% of the time and Palp/Vader does decently well but is under invested and needs a tank.
Right now I’ve almost finished the BAM farm while Exectutor has been my main goal, although my BH ships are a while off (only Slave 1 at 7*), unfortunately I got sidetracked and after the LSBs feel pretty overwhelmed with where to spend my zetas.
I’m also working toward GAS but still need at least one more zeta on the team to get past stage 2 and then 2-3 more for stage 3. I also still have 3 clones to gear but have almost all shards for them.
Once I got into GAC I put a lot of focus into making sure I had enough decent teams for wins and holds but I’ve realised I’ve got too many paths in front of me and can’t figure out the best ROI with an eventual GL in mind.
I’m leaning towards SEE as I’ve got a decent few of the characters at relics already but the other requirements seem mostly average at best. I’d love to go after Leia, Jabba or GMK but understand they’re likely to be a long farm.
Negotiator has carried me from 120-70 to top 20 in fleet arena so I almost want to switch tactics to ships only to get higher up but can’t even decide what ships are the best at my stage of the game and with my roster. Exec Reqs are a must bc I need to finish this farm but I’m tempted by Republic although the Bad Batch kyro investment is putting me off.

I (29M) have been dating a (22F) for about 9 months. She graduated college early and worked her way through college (which made me more comfortable with the age gap). We started dating during her last semester and there were red flags to start (i.e., not responding to texts over the weekend, not inviting me to visit, not introducing me to her friends). While I tried my best to not get jealous I started having unhealthy coping mechanisms such as drinking in order to not worry about not getting responses.
She moved home to her parents in December and spends about 4 nights a week there and 3 nights at my house. She does not contribute to cleaning, cooking, house chores (except occasionally watching my dog 1-2x per week for a couple hours). I have maybe done too much in terms of taking her to dinners, vacations, etc. because I have started to resent all the effort I put in.
I've communicated my needs (better communication, introduction to friends / social circle, and helping out with random stuff around the house to relieve me of some stress) but the response is typically "it's not my house, it's not my responsibility, you have nothing in common with my friends, you have stated in the past you don't want to go to the bar with a bunch of college kids"
Over the weekend i was dealing with a surgery for my dog and she left saturday morning to go to a family soccer game (hadn't seen her the 4 days prior due to work). About 6 hours later I received a text saying she was on the lake with her friends, and no response following my next text. At 10 I called her 3 times (she was suppose to watch the dog the next morning) and she said she was at the bar after they all got off the lake and would be spending the night at a friends.
She walked into the house at 1am and I told her it was over. I have extreme anxiety when my gf is at the bar with no responses because of being hurt in the past and have told her this. She packed her stuff and left.
My question: Am I being jealous and controlling and letting that ruin the relationship? Or am I asking for common decency and not receiving things a partner should be giving in a relationship? Thanks.

AI soldiers have also become much smarter! They react faster to danger, take cover when wounded, have learned to strafe while shooting, choose cover more intelligently, and act more realistically in general.

Tankers can now repair the internal modules of their vehicles without leaving them; while gunners and commanders (as well as soldiers using engineering guns) can now see realistic distortion effects in their sights.
While you’re reading the full list of improvements, we’re already preparing for the upcoming major update.

WEAPONS AND SOLDIERS

  • Added an additional slot for premium squads. This slot is optional and can be left empty.
  • Improvements for bipods: weapons are now more stable and move more smoothly. Corrected angles of positioning on window sills.
  • The camera position has been changed for the STEN submachine guns (Mk II, Mk III, Mk II(S), Austen Mk 1), now the camera is located further from the rear sight.
  • Fixed the discrepancy between the recoil parameters of the M2 Hyde and other submachine gun class weapons, the recoil pattern is now more predictable and controllable.
  • The perk point modifiers for the squad’s soldier type are now visible on the research screen, without having to open the squad details window.
  • Erma EMP with suppressor moved from BR 3 to BR 2.
  • Adjusted the aiming angles of the engineer's machine guns.
  • Added an appearance set for the Soviet event engineer squad on the "Battle of Berlin" maps.
  • Added additional appearance options for German and Soviet medics.
  • Added a unique appearance set for the Fedorov MG squad in each campaign.
  • Fixed the default appearance set of the Japanese premium tanker squad with Chi-He.
  • The one-piece torso appearance options in the Pacific War campaign for the US were divided into two, torso and legs.

VEHICLES

  • Added the ability to repair certain parts of the tank from the inside.
  • Added distortion effect for tank optics and engineer’s guns.
  • Added the effect of mixing different soil types when a vehicle passes through them.
  • Attached the commander’s hands to the anti-air machine guns on the turret of tanks.
  • Fixed a bug where the damaged parts of vehicles with decals and camouflages could incorrectly turn to the default color.
  • SOC-1 - fixed a bug that caused the turret machine gun to be disproportionately small compared to the fuselage of the airplane.
  • Fixed the bug that caused the entire squad to leave the vehicle when the player died in the gunner's seat in certain APCs.

UI

  • Returned the missing selected event header on the custom matches window.
  • Updated the design of all buttons.
  • Added a tooltip for research points.
  • Added a tooltip for upgrade items.
  • Changed the tooltip of the button for disabling notifications.
  • Fixed a bug with overlapping UI onn the custom matches window.
  • Fixed how armies are displayed when selecting an event on the custom games window.
  • You can no longer cancel your combat readiness in a squad if the group leader has started searching for a match.

GRAPHICS

  • Added Dynamic Resolution setting for DX12.
  • Added a new Ultra option to the Reflection Quality setting for DX12.
  • Added DLSS Frame Generation support for DX12.
  • Optimized the rendering of shadows in battle.
  • Improved the burning effects on soldiers.
  • Improved the tracers of tank shells - the tracer does not appear immediately when leaving the barrel, but gradually appears over time.

AI SOLDIERS

Lots of improvements for AI soldiers.
  • Improved reaction time. AI soldiers turn and look around more naturally. At close range, when the enemy is targeting them, AI soldiers return fire less accurately.
  • Improved navigation. AI soldiers will no longer run to a distant cover when attacking a nearby target.
  • New tactical maneuvers. AI soldiers have learned to strafe while shooting, crawl to a safe place to heal.
  • AI commanders will now build rally points in more locations on all maps.

LOCATIONS AND MISSIONS

  • Improved buildings and trenches on the "Battle of Moscow" locations visually and gameplay-wise.
  • Added a new mission "Munda Point (Conquest)".
  • Added new missions "Dominant Height "(Confrontation) and "Werbig Station" (Invasion).
  • Improved the placement of certain ground vehicle spawn points in the "The Voskhod settlement East (Invasion)", "Birch Grove West (Invasion)", "Vysokovo Village West (Invasion)", "Omer North (Invasion)" and "Gavutu South (Destruction)" missions.
  • Improved the placement of certain ground vehicle spawn points and battle areas in the "Königsplatz West (Invasion)", "Fortress West (Invasion)" and "River crossing North (Invasion)" missions.

CONSOLES

  • Added requirement to restart the client when changing graphics preset.
  • Fixed a bug related to the squad purchase window when the Safe Zone of the screen was set to 90%.

OTHER IMPROVEMENTS

  • Fixed a bug where players could get into battle with a battle rating higher than the other players.
  • Fixed an issue with burned bodies when joining a battle that has already started.
  • Fixed names of certain items in equipment presets.
  • System messages in the main menu have been moved to the bottom of the screen.

2024.05.15 13:22 LowleyLoki219 AITA for what became the aftermath of a 3 month relationship?

I (20M) began dating my now ex gf (23F) [I’ll call her J] around last July. J and I met at college and had been really close friends for about a year and I always had a fondness towards her. I hadn’t thought of her romantically really since she was actually in a 3-4yr relationship w/ someone else when we first met.
Anyways, we start dating after they broke up in May and it was amazing and I was as happy as I’d ever been. We didn’t have any issues except for one moment in August where J felt as though I was insulting an insecurity of her’s when what I was trying to do is say that I don’t care about her insecurieties at all because they don’t matter to me. Then sometime around September I get into an accident that makes it so I have to be home for a month to recover from surgery. I was going to be mostly stuck in a wheelchair up until November and was worried about how I was going to be able to move around campus but J reassured me that she’d be there for me as much as she could.
Within a week of being back on campus, J was being off and then after hanging out with each other for the whole weekend, texted me saying that we should break up because I’m “too good for [her]” and it’s unfair that we be in a relationship while she “processes her last breakup.” I was sad to hear this but respected her for making that choice. It gets a little confusing because 1 day later she asks if we can get back together because she realizes that I’m who she mostly hangs out with since most of her friends graduated. I said no because it felt off for her to want to breakup and then immediately ask to get back together. I should add that J expressed that once she was done processing her last breakup she would really like to explore a relationship again.
J pushed to stay friends (even though I suggested us not interacting for a certain amount of time could be good for our new relationship dynamic). I agreed to us still chatting as friends but I also asked that if things ever felt somewhat romantic that we should be open and honest about it to each other.
Fast forwarding, J started mistreating me A LOT towards the end of the year. J would resort to getting easily frustrated w/ me and then screaming and cursing at me. She would offer to help transport me with my wheelchair and then make remarks that made me feel guilty about using it. She started to sort of drift away from hanging out w/ me and when I confronted her about it, she’d claim that I was “being crazy.”
Around December things especially got bad. Turns out she suddenly started remembering that moment in August and “could no longer forgive me for it” which felt super weird and random to bring up months later. She claimed this was the reason we could never be in a relationship again and added on that she “needs years to understand herself before exploring a romantic relationship w/ anybody”. I was sad to hear this but I was also happy to hear that she was going to take some time to work on herself since she had expressed wanting to do that in the past.
I later found out that she started seeing someone new just a few weeks after all that and I was informed that she had actually started talking to the new guy a solid 2 weeks before the messages we exchanged which sort of makes it feel as though she wasn’t being honest with me in the 1st place.
Overall she expressed she didn’t want to be friends anymore because my “expectations are too high”. Then a month later she reaches out for me to add her back on a mobile game we both play even though I explained that I felt that was weird given our new dynamic. Then I come to find out J has resorted to trying to label me as a person who “disrespects people’s boundaries and makes her feel unsafe”. She reached out to a mutaul friend asking if he could help walk her to and from her car whenever she and I were at the same place.
She went as far as taking a letter that I had written to her privatley and waving it around at a party she hosted where she even read it out loud to those attending. She makes up stories about things I’ve said to her or about her. I truly care for this girl and so I have not resorted to talking smack about her to others because I feel she doesn’t deserve that.
I have since gotten campus police involved so that she can’t contact me and have had to now explain to mutual friends what is going on since everyone is so confused on why she’s trying to paint me as this villain who treats people terribly and only is nice as a facade. I do my best to not have her seem as this completely bad person to others since I don’t feel she deserves that, yet the majority consensus after people have heard both of our sides is that she seems to be “projecting her feelings onto me” and appears to be “vindictive”.

Hi all,
I'm pretty new to sisters, and have been prepping for a tournament against a friend of mine who plays grey knights.
He's a strong player, and has won tournaments with grey knights (pre-buff), and has always been best in event with GK at everything he's been to. Usually, he and I are on a roughly level playing field, with maybe me winning 55-60% of games with other armies.
However, he just cannot figure out how to beat my sisters army. I am still quite new to the faction and it's by no means an optimal list, but he's getting quite despondent about feeling unable to win the matchup at all.
I want my friend to do well in the matchup, and enjoy our prep games a bit more, so I thought I'd come here for help:
How do GK beat sisters?
My list is roughly: - junith - palatine combo with blade and novitiates - celestine - morvenn and friends - 2x BSS (one split by immolator) - immolator - rhino (for novitiates usually) - 2x castigators - 2x exorcists - 2x Seraphim with flamers - 2x crusader squad - 1 penitent engine
(I'd also love any list feedback if anyone has any!)
