Before I moved in to that house, my roommate was a fairly good friend because she was close to my ex who had recently passed from a heart condition. We got close while grieving his passing and felt a responsibility to help when we could. I had blessings coming in by the multitude and asa Buddhist I must give to receive or lose even more than having. She fell back into active addiction and since she put her home in her mom's name during her divorce 3-4 years prior, her mom was threatening to kick her out if changes weren't made because she has been covering all the taxes and living expenses of her and her then boyfriend, who lived with her at that time. I offered her a job working for me and offered to help with bus fare and provide lunch on days she worked. Her relationship was getting pretty toxic and she worked 2 days, asked to be advanced for 4 more days she never worked, and stopped answering my messages entirely. It out the blue 2 months later she reached out and I told her I was moving out because my lease wasn't getting renewed and had to pick where I wanted to move to and fast. She told me she wanted him out and was going to get a TPO so he couldn't fight her on leaving and wanted to be able to sell his tools and things as"revenge for the abuse she suffered". I didn't agree with that but agreed to support her and her keep her safe. She begged me to move in to help reinforce him needing to stay away. I ignorantly accepted and moved in to her 2nd bedroom. The 2nd day there we sat down and hashed out the details with her mom who at the time said "sounds like you ladies know what you're doing so I'll leave you to it." She let her mom come by every day it seemed like but the home was "good thing she's not your landlord or we'd be screwed!" After her ex stayed away a while she got bored or lonely, not quite sure which. She tracked him down and has him over while I was working one night. I was furious as he JUST burned his friends house down to the ground and caught him trying to pour my diffuser oils on paper and they had burn marks on them like he wanted to set my room in fire. I told her I wanted nothing to do with her being around him and want happy that he was there. So he stole my house key while sleeping. No matter how many times I asked, I couldn't get them to give me another one after that. That led to me having to stay at hotels I would walk to when I couldn't get inside and had only 5 or 6 hours before my next double shift. One day coming home she stopped him walking away from the house as we were pulling up so she pulled up next to him and invited him over. I got mad and went inside after pulling up to the house and packed a bag to go stay with my boyfriend who I had to make leave after she asked him to move in too but we went with it and wasn't one of the big problems. I feel asleep early and woke up to ask kinda of messages about her not narcaning him but thinks she should. She thought he might not be breathing but then sent memes and made some jokes. This man couldn't stand opiates, he hated her doing them and was the heart of what they broke up over. He despised them and wouldn't have willing done fentanyl when you couldn't get him to take a Vicodin after pulling his wisdom teeth. He was on life support for 4 days and his family took him off when time he was brain dead from losing oxygen for so many hours. She was a licensed nurse. She knew what to do and how to help him. She said so many times. She's proud she did it and that terrified me. Not enough to destroy my spiritual livelihood and lie and cover up such serious violations. Her mom called me twice during the week he was on life support and once after. 2 days after I refused the last time to give the story of him being on drugs already, her Mom busted into my room and screamed at me demanding for me wake up and come to the living room immediately. She told me I was to get out immediately because I broke in when I was locked out and used my bedroom window to get in and left the house unsecured 2 times that she found when she came by to "check on things". I knew that's not how things in the real world go so I just avoided her and paid my rent as usual. Turns out earlier that day she went and filled for an eviction and had worked out with her daughter how to hide it. She was to remove all notifications and not mention anything so I would keep paying and wouldn't take my belongings and she could make money or keep them if she wanted like she got to do with her ex's things. She has most everything he owned on marketplace 24 hours after he passed. Online the court even notes that "service made to: adult female roommate" and labeled it "successful service" even though she was operating with a huge conflict of interest and nobody questioned it. I lost my job as she was hired by me to transport me back and forth. I couldn't afford hotels very long. I lived in abandoned houses. I'm back in hotels on vouchers now. I'm working and saving for a car to get a better job and get around. I got my cats back from her 6 months after but with wings and scabs on the one she didn't like. Obviously she abused her and I had to pay her to give them back in that condition. My other cat is pregnant but an indoor cat so I guess she let her out anyways. I was sent a message that my things that were left would be placed at the road at a specific time and told to come get what I wanted it it was going to the trash. When I showed up I was meet with police and her video recording me and my helpers in our faces taunting me about being on welfare and wanted to know where my free lawyer was because I would need one when she sues me for storage fees when I was refused the ability to retrieve my belongings 4 times prior. I set up mediation and she started and then ended it 10 minutes in. Nothing has been done about the murder. I still have all the proof and evidence. As well as witnesses. I feel like they are getting away with murder AND so much more. I was left without so much as a cell phone or transportation. I slept in streets. I have trauma from this crap and I'm overwhelmed with what to even to after her for. There's nothing legal about any of this whole situation. At one point when I was allowed to get a few things but not much, her mother drive right beside me while I carried my things tormenting me and laughing at me for being homeless and poor because "i was learning who I was f*ing with and getting the consequences for it". She literally said "bet you wish you would change your story now, didn't Cha?" NOBODY HAS EVEN TAKEN A STATEMENT FROM ME!! there's no story told as of now. Am off this was done preemptively. And no lawyers claim to take care like mine. Where the heck do I turn then? Am I just left to accept this because they have money and were able to take all mine? I'm in Ohio btw. This was September of 23

I recently got gifted a canon s100 from Japan, and I unfortunately dropped it. The drop wasn’t anything crazy and there’s no major damage; however the screen had occasional flashing, thin colorful lines that were green and pink. I reset it, left it alone without the battery for a few hours, and when I decided to check again it was back to normal but when I put the memory card back in blue lines began to appear. When I removed the memory card there were still some blue lines. The lines both times were sporadic and appeared only sometimes in different places, and I don’t think they appeared on my actual videos/pictures, they were just on the screen of my cam. I was just wondering if this is a thing where maybe I could leave it alone to cool down, or should I not waste my time and just take it in for repairs? Thanks! :)

Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott declared victory in his bid for reelection Tuesday after opening what appeared to be an insurmountable lead over his chief opponent, former Mayor Sheila Dixon.
The Associated Press called the race for Scott at 11:24 p.m. Taking the stage minutes later at his South Baltimore election night party, Scott thanked Dixon for running a hard-fought campaign, but said it was time to “turn the page.”
“I think it’s safe to say we’re destined for a second term,” Scott said, prompting loud applause from a celebratory crowd.
Dixon, who left her party before 11 p.m., said before her departure that the race was too close to call.
After Scott declared victory, Dixon spokesman Luca Amayo said that “regardless of how the votes fall, there will always be people in the city who consider Sheila Dixon the forever mayor of Baltimore.”
The race pitted the first-term Scott against Dixon, the city’s mayor of three years, in a rematch of the 2020 contest that put Scott in office. Both are Democrats.
This time, the field was half the size of the crowded 2020 race and the upper tier of candidates shrank. Former prosecutor Thiru Vignarajah dropped out of the race in the first week of May, less than 24 hours ahead of the start of early voting. Businessman Bob Wallace, an independent candidate for mayor in 2020, ran this time as a Democrat, but failed to gain traction.
Returns from the early voting period, mail-in ballots cast ahead of the election, and almost all of the city’s 295 precincts showed Scott with 50.9% of votes cast to Dixon’s 41.3% — a difference of about 6,200 votes. Vignarajah, who exited the race too late to remove his name from the ballot, still received 3% of the preliminary vote. The returns do not include at least 13,500 mail-in ballots that have yet to be counted by the Baltimore Board of Elections.
When early returns first became public, Dixon jumped to an early lead. However, Scott quickly became the frontrunner and continued to widen his margin Tuesday night as additional returns from primary day were posted.
Cheers broke out at Scott’s party at Baltimore Peninsula earlier Tuesday as initial returns hit two television screens showing Scott slightly ahead of Dixon. Diana Turner danced joyfully as video clips of Scott played on the newscasts. Turner admitted she was unnerved to see the numbers so close between Scott and Dixon, but said she learned from Scott’s previous campaign that initial figures don’t tell the whole story.
“It’s going to fluctuate depending on where the polls are,” she said.
Dixon supporters said they expected the race to be close and the early returns gave them hope that she could, unlike last time, end up victorious.
“I think it was too soon last time,” said Kim Bangs, 64, of Canton said of Dixon’s 2020 bid for the office.
The city board of elections tallied about 11,700 mail-in ballots from Democratic voters ahead of primary day. The canvassing of remaining mail-in ballots will not resume until Thursday.
The 2024 mayoral contest, like many before it, focused heavily on crime. Scott touted the city’s reduction in homicides in 2023 — fewer than 300 people were killed for the first time in nearly a decade. Dixon argued Scott focused only on the homicide rate, allowing quality-of-life crimes to go unaddressed and chasing residents from the city.
Scott, 40, and Dixon, 70, represent different generations of City Hall leadership, but at times, their plans converged. Dixon’s crime plan, rolled out in January, called for a focused deterrence model of policing which would attempt to identify violent offenders and offer social supports in an effort to redirect them. Scott implemented a similar program, known as the Group Violence Reduction Strategy. That approach, piloted in the Baltimore Police Department’s Western District and since expanded, aims to intercept those vulnerable to becoming shooters or victims and provide social supports. The mayor credits it in part for the reduction in homicides.
Both Scott and Dixon’s housing plans call for tax increment financing or “TIFs” to be used in various neighborhoods to address vacant properties.
Dixon and Scott opted to cast their ballots in person Tuesday morning, Dixon near her Hunting Ridge home in West Baltimore and Scott in his Northeast Baltimore neighborhood. Dixon said she was “at peace” as she entered her polling place at Thomas Jefferson Elementary. Scott carried 5-month-old son, Charm Scott, nestled in a car seat into his polling place at Engine House 56.
Some heavy-hitters threw their support behind both candidates, wagering political capital on the close race. Democratic State’s Attorney Ivan Bates joined Dixon’s cause, endorsing the former mayor and calling Scott out for what Bates said was a lack of partnership between the prosecutor’s office and Scott’s City Hall. Sheriff Sam Cogen, too, said Scott has failed to be a partner to his office.
U.S. Sens. Ben Cardin and Chris Van Hollen both backed Scott, as did numerous unions that represent city employees. Some, like the unions representing the city’s firefighters, took shots at Dixon’s treatment of the fire department during her time in office. Unions backed a PAC that supported Scott with voter outreach and online advertising.
Scott led in fundraising and spending, dropping almost $1 million on the contest since the start of the year. Dixon has spent $653,100 since January. A PAC supporting Dixon’s campaign (funded in large part David Smith, a co-owner of The Baltimore Sun and chairman of Sinclair Broadcasting Group) supplemented Dixon’s effort, running ads that tried to paint Scott as an inexperienced leader. Scott’s ads sought to remind residents of Dixon’s criminal past. She was forced to leave office in 2010 after an embezzlement conviction.
The results of the race showed Vignarajah’s exit did little to tighten the contest. Running his fourth campaign for citywide office in the last seven years, Vignarajah threw his support to Dixon after conversations with the camps of both leading contenders. Scott said afterward that Vignarajah asked to be named police chief or CEO of city schools in exchange for his support. Dixon said no deal was made with Vignarajah for a job, although she declined to discuss potential positions in her administration that he may have suggested. Vignarajah said he offered to be “helpful” to the Dixon administration.

So guys, there's a but I'm confused abt and need a lil help with.... ✨️ I am a genderfluidflux (mostly changing between transmasc, agender, and demigirl) femboy 16yo. What I have a problem with in my female body only is my breasts. Im not too worried abt them at the moment, but in the future I would want to get surgery to reduce them or vet them removed, but...
Will that affect anything like legally(?) Or socially? As in on official documents or something. Because I want top surgery but not bottom surgery, I'd be like partially female biologically partially male (by society's standards) or will i be considered of female sex juat without breasts?
What im worried about is official documents and possible dangers of being trans in the future in lovely transphobic America. Im not sure how all that official stuff would work or even how the whole surgery process works because I'm hardly familiar with anything regarding doctors in the first place.

I work in law and I was googling on the library of congress for a project and I just put Somalia in the search bar randomly to see what would pop up.
I was astonished to find photos of woman with their breast out similar to older photos of center African tribes. According to the sources these where taken at the beginning of the 1900’s
Is this true, I thought the Islamic influence in the region forbid this and I question the legitimacy of these photos. Does anyone know what the 1900 was like in Somali the clothing choices of the people and can you provide sources. If these are not accurate there is a way to get these removed.

Hello. I pretty much already know the answer to my question but I thought, why not ask anyways.
House burnt down last year, just me and the dog inside, both okay. Total loss. It was of course a very traumatic event. Not sure how, but I came across a video posted by a freelance journalist, what he calls himself, on his news YouTube channel.
In the video he drives to the entrance of our neighborhood, complains to someone that our neighbor won't let him park near their yard because he votes for Trump (what??), parks his car, and walks up to our neighbors yard and records the fire.
Now, I know that technically anyone could have recorded whatever they wanted and posted it. I get it. I just want it down. So I messaged him and of course got a reply saying no, he's not taking it down, people have a right to know whats going on, scroll past the video and don't watch it if I don't like it. Great. I knew that would be the general conversation. The only thing he does give out is our street name and city. No names or our actual street address. I'm assuming there is nothing I can do to have this video removed, correct?
Hours after the fire, people continued to ride past the house and watch me while I'm standing there, clothes full of ash and smoke, barefoot and crying to the Red Cross people. I will say that I lost it when they continued to do this and yelled some pretty nasty stuff to them in front of the Red Cross people. 🤷‍♀️ Thanks!!

Hi guys, please help me out.
I have a partner (38M) for 4mos. One of our dream is to become a content creator. My niche is more on gadget reviews while his is quite alarming.
He asked me to check his edited video to look for some feedback as he is just starting, and I noticed, he intentionally put "super duper bakat" clips of his d*ck in the start of the video, not only once but twice. I asked him to remove it (as I am not comfortable as a partner) and advised/educated him how to make the video even better and make the quality top tier. He acknowledged.
Fast forward, he posted the video after the revision, he followed all my advise except for one thing. He did not removed the "pabukol" click bait and made the video viral as in 4M views. Majority of the video comment points out to his pabukol and not the content itself.
Part of it was, of course, I am proud of him because he was so happy as he made it that far as a starter, but at the same time, reading the comments, how he invalidated and inconsiderated me, It makes me uncomfortable. He even told the public he will make more of pabukol videos soon as per viewers request. He seems enjoying reading the comments and entertaining it.
Now, how should I react? Should I tolerate this for the sake of his "dream" and happiness? Should I call this relationship off as soon as now? I don't want to be a hindrance of his "niche" but I don't want to put myself on this situation either. Your advise are much appreciated.

A friend dropped a dolly w with a dryer on it in my tiled laundry room. I was giving him my old machines. I couldn’t believe he did that. I had been telling him to be careful w the tile as he moved it bc he was being rough. Then at one point he just dropped the dolly from it leaning back on him down to the upright position. The dryer SLAMMED to the floor. He didn’t even need to drop it. Wasn’t tired or anything. Of course now there’s a hairline crack across 7 tiles in that area now; even outside of where was hit. I’m so pissed bc it’s my freshly purchased house and he was giving ME shit for telling him to be careful.
I saw a YouTube video where a guy filled crack with caulk, wiped the excess. And then painted it. It looked great and was marbled tile just like mine. You couldn’t see the crack at all after.
Will this fix it or do these often require removal? Structurally do I have a good chance of the crack not spreading and getting significantly worse if I try the caulk and paint method? I’m not even confident I could find my exact oblong marble patterned tile from 2010 and would prefer not to rip all of them out. Floor install wasn’t the problem, it was my careless friend.

Normally, Ferra would scowl and tighten her grip on Forgebreaker. But to Zekarias' delight, Ferra Manus laughed, using her hammer as a support.
"Indeed! Perhaps I should've made you my scribe instead to craft those lavish speeches to sway my sons!"
"Ah, but then who would stand up to you and insult you into making better decisions?", Zekarias retorted.
"Don't make me coat your hands in Necrodermis, Anvil."
The man made an exaggerated gasp and clutched his hand to his breast.
"Perish the thought!", he exclaimed, "For whose hand would your new ones hold in the morning? Where then shall I get my pleasure of stroking your face at night before we rest after a hard day's labor?"
Ferra scoffed at his theatrics and bid the machine spirit to open the door, her thoughts straying to her Anvil's advice.
"Be seated", she bid her sons. As they did so, she gazed at their shield arms. All of this. To honor her? After the last battle brother had taken his seat, Ferra returned her attention to the congregation.
"I have heard reports of late, indeed spanning centuries ago during the Great Crusade, that to honor me, you have been removing your arms and replacing them with augmetics. While I am flattered that you wish to be like me and possess iron hands of your own, there is a fact lost on you that has twisted your ritual to honor me and turned it dangerously close to a mania."
"That fact is quite simply that these are not my hands", she continued, gesturing to her necrodermis arms, "These hands are strong, to be sure, and I have created a great many things for Mankind. And that counts for something. You forget, my sons, that the silver on my arms comes from a beast I vanquished. It is the mark of a great evil that I ended, and yet it persists within me."
Ferra paused to collect her thoughts, catching Zekarias' eyes gleaming with pride.
"I would have struggled to remove them then. I did not remove them because I had learned to depend on them. The fault was with my mind. I had relied on the augmention given to me by my metal gauntlets, so much so that the flesh beneath them was little more than a distant memory."
Another pause to collect her thoughts, remembering her second most sacred oath.
"For many decades, there was not a way for me to remove the metal from my hands. But I had sworn long ago that when the time came, and a cure found, that I would strip the unnatural silver from my arms and instruct you, my sons, to do the same. For by relying on the metal and works of the machine, we have begun to doubt the natural strength of our bodies. Hatred of what is natural is the first and greatest of the corruptions. I bid you, my sons to recant the gifts of the machine and relearn the mysteries of flesh, bone, and blood."
"Yes, indeed", Ferra said as she began to wrap up her speech, "In doing so, I shall weaken myself and the legion, but nevertheless, it must be done. For these iron hands have created great things, but they are not mine."
Ferra awkwardly left the podium, leaving most of her sons in confusion. Of course, she informed the Dreadnoughts and the Iron Fathers of her decision, and both stood behind her decision. But what if..?
"And you said I was good at speeches", Zekarias chuckled. Ferra huffed and extended her hand.
"Are you ready?"
Ferra paused before the door to her personal chambers, a whirlwind of thought racing through her mind.
"I don't know."
She gazed playfully at her Anvil, looking him up and down.
"But what I know for certain is that tonight, my hands will be of flesh and bone again. I will want to experience touch again. I will want to experience you."
Zekarias laughed as realization of what his Hammer was saying dawned on him.
"I suppose I'm not the only one doing the stroking tonight?"
Ferra shook her head and opened the door.
"Come. For in this forge, the Hammer must fall upon the Anvil and create something beautiful and natural. Indeed, for I will show you why the Iron Hands were not made for rest."

I am a trangender man, but I still dont have my chest surgery (removal of breast tissue). I use a binder (compression shirt) I worry if I start bjj, people might notice also it might be more uncomfortable and restrictive starting jiu jitsu with a compression shirt underneath rashguard and/or gi. I'm having the surgery in 6 to 7 months. Im really excited to start jiu jitsu but I dont know if it would be best to wait, seeing if I start I will be force to stop training anyways for 2 to 3 months until full recovery of the surgery. I dont know. It would be good to see some different perspetive.

I recently lost 100lbs and decided to have skin removal surgery/tummy tuck and a breast lift I had surgery for 8 hours the beginning of March. About 4 days later I started having trouble breathing, thought it was just pain from everything with surgery, thank god I had a oxygen monitor. My oxygen was at 70 and when I was breathing It sounded like rice crispies- I definitely I needed to go to the ER, they did a ct and said I had a saddle PE…pretty much rushed me to ICU and that was terrifying, stripped me cleaned me and moved me from the gernie to the bed and began hooking me up to everything, liquid blood thinner for a few days then to eliquis then back to IV ood thinner then finally back to eliquis. They could not figure out what to do I was really terrified and so confused. I spent a week in the ICU with everyone saying I was fine but then why was I in ICU? I felt really gaslit. I’m only 33 and a Mom of 2 so I was mortified I was going to pass away from such a vain elective surgery. They basically think it was a provoked saddle embolism from my surgery but I felt like I had strange chest pains before surgery but chalked it up to anxiety about surgery. Now it’s June I’m still on eliquis, having random strange feeling that aren’t constant but feel like my heart is trying really hard- if that makes sense? Saw my primary and they did a quick ekg and said I’m fine it’s just anxiety. I feel like I’m just terrified after all of this and after being released theres no further follow up just eliquis for 3 months? No scan no bloodwork nothing else? I have clots in both lungs am I going to be okay? I see mixed reviews about survival rates after this kind of thing… whats the actual truth? Am I at risk or dying soon? I had to have a blood transfusion and a iron transfusion I was pumped so full of IV blood thinner I went from 135lbs to 155 in a matter of a few days…. Just crazy experience snd need some help understanding this

Hi folks!
My front yard is very lumpy and bumpy and has a lot of divots from where I pulled weeds and foolishly took the soil with it. No major regrading is required, just tons of little holes to be filled and levelled out.
It's a pretty small yard - I tried posting a pic but don't have enough credits yet, lol.
After this, the goal is to kill off the grass (and then woodchip it, plant native plants, etc.) but I feel like there's a couple methods I could choose from and could use some of your wisdom to help me decide!
Option 1:
Kill the lawn first. Solarize the lawn during these Summer months, and then weeks/months later once the grass is dead, peel up the dead stuff and remove it. Then, when it's nothing but bare soil, I could just use the existing soil to level the yard out using landscaping/levelling rakes.
Option 2:
Level it first. Mow the grass as low as possible. Level the yard using sand (I've watched about a dozen video tutorials) and levelling/landscaping rakes. Then cardboard mulch the yard, cover with woodchips, etc., and go in with my planting.
Please let me know what sounds like the smarter, easier idea! Or if there's another option I haven't considered! I really appreciate it, I've been mulling it over for days :)

Up until a few years ago, I was sheltered, being homeschooled, not making many friends, the whole nine yards. Only a few years ago did I start getting deeper into the internet and start learning about myself. I was always raised in a Christan family, and as such they had a view that trans people... We're not evil per say, but just sinful? I was always brought up with the idea that "being trans is not natural" and "something is wrong with you if you are". The general stuff from that culture I presume.
This mentality seeped into my brain. I remember watching a specific YouTuber start identifying as trans, and I quit their videos because I hated it. At the time I was broken because "there was something wrong with the YouTuber that I really like". I feel like this somehow fueled my personality now.
I don't hate trans people now, I'm proud of them, and I identify as bi myself (closeted, because family), however I simply can't watch any trans people on YouTube or make friends with any of them. I'm not sure why, it's like my body isn't used to accepting something like that. The closest I am to a trans person is a friend of mine who identified as trans, but nothing really changed in our relationship.
Is there a way I can stop this feeling? I hate it, and I feel like it's a wall between me and making friends in a community that I think I would really like otherwise. I've been dealing with this for a while and I can't figure it out.
