Goddess braids

Does anyone know a deity with long braided red hair who wears a black cloak with gold details whose name start with Iy and is the goddess associated with wolves hunting healing she told me something else too but i can't remember, I thought It was Artemis first due to the hunting factor but I don't think so, any help would be apperciated

I'm happy to write up some ideas but I don't want to spam or step on toes. I'm inspired by TTPD but I'll probably reach into her back catalogue.

Hi guys!
I am getting married this August and am really struggling with hair ideas. My thoughts were to do goddess knotless braids but after browsing for styles it seems as everyone does a wig or weave for wedding hair and there are very few braid ideas.
The area I live in does not have tons of options of braiders so my plan was to get my braids done two days before my wedding and then I would have to style it myself for the wedding.
I want to stay real with myself and stick with braids bc I am not a wig/weave person due to maintenance and don’t really want to shell out money for it especially when I don’t even know what I like/what to get/ how to maintain. I just feel like braids are me.
Does anyone have any suggestions for for how to style braids for the wedding? I think if I leave them down I may have pieces not staying in place?
I’ll add a picture of one inspo pic I found from the few available of what I’m going for, I was thinking along this line but a ponytail instead because I have a lot of hair so I feel like a bun look isn’t for me.

Current Routine: - Shampoo, Conditioner, Leave-in Cream, and Oil: Carols Daughter Goddess Strength line - Deep Conditioner: Mielle Rosemary Mint Deep Strengthening Hair Masque - Heat protectant: Tyche keratin heat protector - After washing, I apply leave-in products, blow dry, grease my scalp if needed, and then braid it down. - In terms of styling: For every day, i braid down the front of my hair and put the rest of my hair in a ponytail and bobby pin the two front braids to make it look like theyre tied into the ponytail. I use shine n jam to make the braids looks nice and sleek. This style is most likely taking a toll on my hair line, but i cant stand the thought of slicking my hair back with eco styler gel every day as that 100% makes my hair extra prone to breaking off.
I dont like styling my hair wet and letting it air sry because its just too short, doesnt look good and makes me look like a boy & i cannot deal with that
I've noticed that my hair might have become high porosity, likely due to coloring (non-bleached). Despite not being bleached, my hair quickly absorbs water and dries fast (within 35 minutes).
I'm in Toronto, Canada, so I might not have access to all the products available in the United States. I'm searching for new products that can provide moisture without leaving my hair feeling overly greasy.

So my whole life I always thought people were lying, I mean in school we’d do group meditation, and they’d describe a scenario and tell you to picture it in your mind. I always just saw the back of my eyelids, I mean I could “imagine” it but I didn’t actually see anything? So normally I’d just go to sleep and take it as an excuse to skip gym.
I never realized, that people weren’t lying, they could actually see! Not just their eyelids?
Now here’s where my confusion sets in, because I can imagine things? Like an apple it’s red, round with two bumps on top, but I can’t see it? Like I can? But I can’t see it? Its confusing.
When reading books I do visualize but I don’t think I do? Let me explain, so like my friends say they can see it like a movie in their head, not just the words on the page? How? I can’t see anything, I can think of it, like associating “ok the grass is green, there’s a river over there” because I know what a river and grass is, but I can’t see it, it’s not an actual image, it’s just… components? If that make sense?
I struggle to decide whether I’m assuming I have something, or if I actually do, because I understand it as a concept? I can imagine things, but I can’t see them?
I dream every night multiple times a night, when I think back to my dreams they aren’t a clear visual though, I mean I can think that I know they’re in first person most of the time, but often I only remember the plot, not what I actually saw?
I have an active imagination and I like to draw, but I don’t “see”my drawings beforehand? I do but I don’t? like I know what I want to do, and how I want it to turn out, I don’t see it though, it’s more of a concept if that makes sense? But I do see it? I don’t know how to explain that.
When I try these little experiments, I find 1) I don’t actually see anything, I just know it is a thing, it exists, I can describe it. 2) I’m often thinking of specific or past situations to come up with the “visual” or idea or whatever? Like the ball on the table test, logically I thought of a pool table because where else would you roll a ball? The ball was white, on a pool table, it was a man pushing it, but he had no face, more like a 3D model for a video game? However I’m so confused if I just made that up after the questions were asked or if I visualized it? I think I visualized it? I don’t know?
This is rambely and weird I know I’m sorry, I’m just so confused of what people mean when they can picture something? Like am I picturing it? Am I seeing it? I don’t see anything, my mind is blank but it’s a concept and a vague idea of something in my mind that I picture, and I can see it but I can’t!?!?

For this thread let’s do Demeter, Persephones mother and the goddess of the harvest!
Todays random side fact: I’m mainly basing these off of the Homeric Hymns, The Iliad, The Odyssey, Hesiods Theogony and Metamorphosis, as well as my knowledge of Greek art.
So that is why there is some conflicting information, because there’s multiple myths telling multiple different versions of the same story, as well as many different translations, so it would be impossible to be 100% accurate.
Anyways let’s get into it, so while Demeter is a goddess and would keep a youthful appearance, I want to make her appear more mature than Persephone.
Poems often talk about Demeter having blonde hair, so obviously I will start with that. Being a goddess that is so often depicted working very hard, she would have her hair up, so a messy over the shoulder braid would look nice on her. Like Persephone I think she should have green eyes, since nature.
I want to relate her heavily to agriculture, so I’m picturing a gardener type outfit. However she’s still a goddess so let’s put her in a white sundress with green flowers decorating it. At the front of the dress there should be a small apron that has golden gardening tools sticking out of it.
(I want to take a more modern approach with this skin since my other female designs haven’t really taken it.)
So let’s face it, she wouldn’t have gloves because she wouldn’t be afraid to get her hands dirty, so simply bare arms with slightly chipped pink nail polish to match the pink nail polish I put on Persephone.
In my Persephone design I added a golden necklace with a barely pendant that she got from her mother, I want Demeter to also have a matching pendant.
(Side note: you may be wondering why Demeter is so heavily related to Persephone in my design, well that’s because her Homeric Hymnn is pretty much just her grief over loosing her daughter, she loves her daughter dearly, and I think that’s crucial to her character.)
I’m thinking that maybe her dress could have small patches of dirt to show she’s been working on gardening, her knees slightly scuffed up from kneels to tend to the harvest (I know she uses powers but go with it for character design.)
She’s not like the other gods with the clean designs because she does dirty work, which is crucial to the mortals surviving.
For her shoes a simple pair of white flats would suffice, and for the little bows that are often on them it would be a snowflake instead, to symbolize how she makes winter come when Persephone is not with her.
I also think it would be important that out of the apron there is barely/wheat stalks in the pouch.
Now I think it’s only fitting that she has a sun hat, white to match her dress with the brim being decorated with green flowers.
As another small easter egg, I think one of her back shoulders, she has a frozen poppy tattoo, as it is her main flower, and another nod to the icy winter she brings. I know this design is rather simple, and doesn’t scream goddess, but I feel Demeter is far more motherly in nature, and I don’t enjoy the way media portrays her as an overbearing mother because they twist the tale of Persephones abduction into a romance story for their own obsession with the love story of good girl x bad guy. The actual poem is sad and distressing, and it states multiple times how Persephone did not want to go with Hades, she was abducted and tricked by him.

I asked my parents to imagine the red star with closed eyes, one couldn’t see anything like me, the other said they could perfectly and was baffled we couldn’t.
This post is all over the place I’m sorry, I’m just so confused, I should add I have diagnosed ADHD and OCD (which affects 2% of the population, which is another low statistic similar to this? Is there a connection?) if that often correlates?
I tried to use an AI to explain it to me like a toddler, but the AI said stuff about a movie theatre and yeah it just confused me more.
Two last things: I’ve always excelled academically because I think in numbers and words, and I think logically about things. I’ve seen that mentioned too? I also have terrible eyesight, like astigmatism and a really high prescription, coke bottle lenses.
I preferred chapter books as a kid as opposed to picture books because I could imagine, but I never saw a movie in my head? I saw words on a page, that I would often have to reread over and over to fully grasp. I still have to reread lines over and over often, my mind wanders, but I’m pretty sure that’s the ADHD.
I also asked my friends about the taste thing, and apparently they can ACTUALLY taste things when they see/think of them? I can’t, what the hell do they mean they can taste?
When I draw I more or less just go with the flow, which is a statement that contradicts my other one but it also doesn’t in a weird way in my brain? Like I have an idea of what I want, but I also develop as I go.
I just don’t understand, because I see but I don’t? Am I normal and overthinking the human psyche, or am I like you guys?
What are your experiences, are they similar?
I would also like to add, I’m not like complaining, I’m just confused, and intrigued with the weird psychology of the human mind.

Hello! So im moving to DC in 2 weeks (I’m so excited) and wanted to get some recommendations on hair braiders. Also I ’m more than willing to pay to have specific needs met
I want a stylist that doesn’t shy away from color (not hot pink but more of a dark deep red or a gray blue with silver mixed in etc) and either provides hair or will buy it. I’ve had awful experiences with hair salons saying they have it but they actually don’t or waiting til the day of to realize the color hair I want isn’t common so they can’t get it… and I’m not keen on the idea of flying south once a month just to go to a reliable braider.
I also want a stylist who communicates! I’m not a texter but just a ‘hey is this the hair you want’ a few days before puts me at ease
Lastly I mainly get knotless box braids but I want to expand to twists and goddess braids.

Tailtiu is a goddess of fertility and child labour. So what if the formless mother is kind of the leftover soul of a fertility goddess in the lands between? We can see from items like the bloody excrement and swarm of flies that there are things being born out of the blood and death, it might not be pretty but it’s fertile. In the Celtic myth, Tailtiu clears out a forest of trees and winds up dying from the exhaustion, which allowed the people of the area to begin farming the land. I don’t know for certain how things fall in line with Elden ring from here, but I think one could argue that Miquella is housing/afflicted by the “outer” goddess of fertility, hence his childlike appearance and androgyny, imagine being a male embodying fertility. Assuming that the formless mother is fairly true to her possible inspiration Tailtiu, maybe the formless mother knows something about destroying trees? One can speculate heavily there, but the big point I’m trying to make is it doesn’t make sense that Miquella is afflicted the way he is just because. So I'm 17 and in my senior year and my prom is June 7th I have until May 29th so turn in my permission for prom and my boyfriend, tickets are up to $100, $50 for each person, my boyfriend is going to cover the cost for the tickets, I have my prom dress, and I'll be getting the shoes, my hair, nails, makeup, jewelry, I don't know if I'll be able to get it.
I have really curly hair so I can't straighten without relaxer and I don't know anyone who can do that for me without messing up my hair completely, my sister offered to do some goddess braids for me but I don't have the money to buy 6-9 packs of hair, I would ask my boyfriend but he's already paying for the tickets and his mom already got me my dress and shoes, it feels wrong to ask if she can get me that much hair, wouldn't it be expensive? I also can't just straighten my hair without any chemicals, I don't have a blow dryer or a straightener and if I did straighten it, it would get goofy and curly again due to the heat.

Nobara is perfect. She just is. I wanna go outside on a nice sunny day with Nobara and enjoy a picnic with her. I would love to watch her beautiful hair sway with the wind as it blows, listening to her cheerful laugh which would be pure music to my ears. Her cheerful smile is and would be delightful to see. Her smile warms my heart and makes me less depressed. I'd feed her food that I made by hand. I'd feed her the most juiciest, tasty, delicious, mouth-watering, delectable, delish, sweet, yummy watermelon just because watermelon is Nobara's favourite food. As we enjoy our picnic, it would be pleasant when she leans on my shoulder, enjoying the scenery and view of everything outside. Even though she has short hair, I'd still braid her hair, braiding small little braids in her hair. And it's fine by me if the braids open up again! I don't mind! As the wind blows around, I'd tuck a few locks of her soft and shiny hair behind her ear, as we slightly sway in the wind. We'd enjoy our time together. After a few moments, I'd feel tired and I would rest my head on her lap, using her thighs as a pillow. I'd snuggle as I rest my head on her lap, the sun shining softly and warmly on us. I'd let her braid my hair if she really wanted to. I wouldn't mind at all!!

Hey guys ! I’m 19 but have been self braiding my hair for about 4 years but recently have been considering doing braiding for others on the side. I haven’t really got experience doing other people’s hair as my friends who would get braids live quite far and mostly get it done by their parents/family. I also can’t practice on my own family since my black relatives don’t live in the same country. On myself I normally just do goddess or boho box braids to save time but I can also do knotless and french curl. I have a manakin doll head to practice but it obviously isn’t that great and was wondering what’s best way to start out becoming a braider if practicing on friends isn’t possible (trust me i’ve tried ahah) any help or ideas much appreciated :))
