Never had a bad vision but suddenly I started to see things blurry and they told me to do corneal topography test. After seeing the result, even they were shocked that I never needed glasses or lenses before. Anyways, still have to see doctor to show the reports. The one who did the test on me told that I would need refractive surgery(ig thats what he said). But after seeing the opinions on this surgery, i'm kinda terrified. I'm 23 btw.

Is this because for Honorable mention exchange or something else is coming? I sold some too early, but now I regret.

Second engi and myself built two sets of nodes within the first minute of the match. Then went back and forth for the next thirty minutes in a logi truck dropping supplies at brick factory to keep the 3rd point.
Commander was lvl 30 with no comms. Built some defences at brick factory (barbed wire, barricades, bunkers.) kept that point for the full 1.5hrs and held off 4 full assaults by the Germans. Each assault from a different direction, first was a northern assault with 2 heavy tanks. Second was an eastern, Third was eastern and south.
Final was north, east, south and west. We were circled with 3 minutes left. And we held out.
It was hectic, and I loved it. If only every match was like that.

The father gives thanks to Bast as we drag ourselves back into the temple. Two days of adventure within the citadel proved the threat of Ghouls to unfortunately not be an exaggeration. Thankfully, the citadel is not empty of treasures and thus the band feels the venture wasn't wasted. We haven't lost anyone despite the tomb's best attempts although ambushes, a goblin warband, and devious traps made more than a few close calls. For now, we've explored two of the towers and found two previously unknown (and likely unlooted) sublevels, made a temporary alliance with a goblin tribe, and have greatly thinned the ghoul's numbers. We've apparently pleased Bast as that evening's dinner was much closer to a feast. After consulting the party, we've decided to divide and conquer our tasks. Mer-Me will return to Port Ensal to collect more weapons and consumables as the temple doesn't have much in the way of war supplies while we will continue our survey of the lands north of Port Ensal. We will reconvene in approximately a ten day to continue our delve.
Our experience within the citadel and the temple have suggested something sinister may be happening. Some of the priests seem hesitant to assist us in any way and combined with the constant whispers behind our back there may be some element of their contingent less than excited for us to continue our exploration. If the corrupted acolyte we captured from the citadel is any indication, a break from the place may be wise. We can't know for sure, but we were ambushed by a group of skeletons on our second visit which seemed to know we were coming. An ulterior motive for sending Mer-Me back to Port Ensal is to alert the merchant prince of both our success, and our suspicions. The ever watchful eyes of Bast seem to follow us as we depart the Iron Temple; the morning light reflecting off them gives them the look of a stalking predator. An ill omen combined with the developing storms.

Welcome back. I have a lot of new data to report. It's been a few months since the last post but now that the first season has ended, I can finally give all the good news!
The manga has gained about 70 million views recently, and now sits at around 575 million views on Shonen Jump Plus.

Spy x Family is now just under the 3 million copies per volume average (2.9M/Volume), all in just 10 volumes.
To put it into perspective, Jujutsu Kaisen, another extremely popular franchise and top manga seller in Japan, had 70 million copies in circulation with only 20 volumes back in late July 2022. That puts JJK at a 3.5M/Volume average.

Another popular franchise that also just got its first season done, Chainsaw Man, had recently reached 23 million copies in circulation with only 13 volumes. That puts the series at a 1.76M/Volume average.

In my last post, I said Spy x Family will safely reach 10 million copies sold by the end of Oricon year. I can happily say that I was right!
32: In 2022, Spy x Family had sold 10,600,571 copies from its volumes 1-10. With that, Spy x Family becomes the 7th manga after (in order)

With that in mind, one could see that the anime gave a good boost (~2x) to the backlogs of the series (older volumes) when looking at 2022 compared to 2021. Let's take a closer look to see exactly how much the anime boosted the series.
35: Spy x Family is a monster of a series, the biggest pre-anime manga ever in the Oricon era. Very, very few manga have sold a million copies for a single volume before their anime since 2008. On the top of my head, examples would be Assassination Classroom (2 out 11 volumes sold 1m), Chainsaw Man (2 out of 12 volumes sold 1m), Attack on Titan (3 out of 10 volumes sold 1m), "Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamato" (3 out of 5 volumes sold 1m), and Kaiju #8 (4 volumes out of 8 sold 1m). Even the recent manga juggernauts like Jujutsu Kaisen (70M circulation/20 volumes), Tokyo Revengers (70M circulation/31 volumes), and Demon Slayer (150M circulation/23 volumes) didn't have their manga selling 1 million copies pre-anime. So what is Spy x Family's pre-anime sales?
Spy x Family had 7 out of its 8 volumes over the 1 million mark. Volume 8 was selling at around 20k a week so had the anime came out a month later than it did, Spy x Family would have all its volumes selling over 1 million copies, no anime.

This is the biggest backlog sales for an anime debut week since the Oricon era started. For comparison, Jujutsu Kaisen made around ~248k backlogs (V1-12), Chainsaw Man made ~170k backlogs (V1-11), and Attack on Titan made ~245k backlogs (V1-9).

37: Unfortunately, the backlog sales were not big enough when the anime ended to have the SxF manga volumes appear in the top 50 volumes of the week (to show their cumulative sales). So the numbers for volumes 1-9 will all be estimates. However, the total copies sold will be correct.
So here are the numbers for SxF after its anime ended (and the anime boost numbers):

SxF has almost doubled with the anime boost in both its circulation number (15M to 29M) and its actual physical sales (~12M to 22M).
While not as explosive as something like JJK, which went from 6.8M to 40M circulation by the end of its anime (almost 6x boost), keep in mind that Spy x Family started its anime with a much higher circulation (over double at 15M) and has 5 less volumes than JJK did when its anime ended, so the boost won't appear to be that big. If scaled correctly, the boost for SxF (if it had 5 more volumes) would hypothetically put it at 43.5M copies in circulation after the anime (almost 3x boost).
Now with the anime shown to boost old volumes, let's also see the improvement the anime has given to the new volumes of 2022.
Volume 9 had come out right alongside the first part of the anime while volume 10 came out alongside the second.
38: Volume 9 had sold 1,007,670 copies in 28 days (35,988 copies/day) while volume 10 had sold 1,229,371 copies in 27 days (45,532 copies/day). Volume 10 sold 221,701 more copies with one less day compared to volume 9. That's around a 21% performance boost from volume 9 to 10.
There was a dip with volume 8 (released before the anime), which had sold 721,161 in 24 days (30,048 copies/day). However with the anime airing with volume 9, there was a 286,509 improvement (almost 29% performance boost).

39: For digital sales, while no concrete numbers are released, I can show how Spy x Family ranked high on a few sites this year.

40: If you're curious about the worldwide sales, SxF has no official worldwide circulation announcement but it's doing amazing in France, the second biggest manga market outside of Japan. Before the anime even aired, SxF already sold over 1 million copies with only six volumes.

Like in Japan, all Spy x Family volumes (except volume 10 which only came out very recently) were in the top 25 best-selling manga volumes in France. Spy x Family volume 7 was also the best new-selling volume released in France this year.
