2024.05.13 23:49 Overdose_XO My '90 Days in Teyvat' Travel Logbook

Heyyy @all, since a friend asked me how far I got in Genshin after playing for a while now, I wondered too. So I looked up some stats, took a few screenshots and now I'm curious how other (new) players progress, what are your biggest milestones yet, best loot-drops, craziest pulls, stories in general, or if you have some personal tips maybe?
As for me, I started playing Free 2 Play on 13.02.24 and here are some stats:
I'm still planning on getting the first char I wanted to pull for after playing her story quest - Raiden. And as the second one - Zhongli. As for Starter-Pokemon I'm planning on getting Alhaitham next. Others I want to pull for: Navia, Wriothesley, Ganyu, Furina, Nahida And then, in my dreams where I still have primogems left: Ayaka, Yelan, Itto, Xiao, Shenhe, Eula and Klee.
My personal biggest Milestones: - got all the crystalflies including the coralfly💙 - finished all available Quests - Map Exploration Rate of 100% - Only missing 4 + 1 Hydroculi and the extra Electroculi - Made it to Abyss 12-3 - Earned 6 Gold-Medals in Vibro-Crystal Application😎 ( the difficulty was not even comparable to all the other events I took part in😅) - Saved the "unplayable" account of a friend on WR 8 with 24 artifacts in total and struggling with lvl 70 enemies in only 3 days, obtained 40 wishes and got her Arlecchino as a 'overnight suprise' next time she logged in🤭
Next one: - Finally beating Abyss for the first time
And my biggest Fails: - although logged in 7 of 7 days, I did not claim Day 6 and through that missed out on 5 Intertwined Fates...💀 - because the season ended and max weekly xp were reached, I bought a season-pass rank up for 150 primogems to get a wish worth 160. Only to being able to claim a seasonal challenge ten minutes later which bypassed the weekly xp limit and got me the rank up anyways...🤦🏻‍♂️ - allowed a player in chat to join my teapot and got infected with his excitement and happines over getting accepted and finally finding someone so close before reset, so I then quickly entered it myself because I wanted to know what he was so crazy about - without realizing I just kicked him before he could even send a request...😂
Sooo, that was my journey so far, how are you all doing? Ah btw, in case someone still has not redeemed these yet, here are some free codes I posted last week: https://www.reddit.com/Genshin_Impact/s/0t5oSaJcYB 🍀

2024.05.13 15:04 Vegetable-Handle3149 Future Trends In Millwork Shop Drawings

Future Trends In Millwork Shop Drawings
Millwork shop drawings are detailed plans for woodwork projects in construction. In the future, these drawings will change in some important ways. One big change is using Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology.
BIM allows the millwork drawings to be combined with 3D computer models. This makes it easier to coordinate the drawings and catch any errors or issues.
Another upcoming trend is making the drawings focus more on environmentally friendly materials and energy-efficient designs. This is part of the push towards more sustainable construction practices.
Technologies like augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) are also becoming more common. With AR and VR, people can see the millwork pieces in a virtual 3D space before they are actually built. This helps with visualizing the final product.
As construction keeps evolving, millwork shop drawings will adapt too. They will use the latest technologies to ensure woodwork projects are precise, efficient, and completed smoothly. These detailed drawings will remain crucial blueprints for complex woodwork construction.
Let’s try to predict the future trends of millwork shop drawings.

Integration of BIM (Building Information Modeling)

Building Information Modeling has already revolutionized the architectural and construction industries, enabling stakeholders to collaborate seamlessly and visualize projects in a virtual environment.
BIM collaboration with Millwork shop drawings offers several advantages. With this integration, designers and contractors can ensure accurate spatial coordination, clash detection, and enhanced communication throughout the project lifecycle.
This integration streamlines workflows, minimizes errors, and facilitates better decision-making, ultimately leading to more efficient construction processes.

Advanced Visualization Technologies

Traditional 2D drawings are gradually being complemented or even replaced by advanced visualization technologies such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR).
These immersive technologies allow designers and clients to experience millwork designs in a realistic and interactive manner before fabrication begins.
With the help of visualization, stakeholders can provide valuable feedback early in the design process, reducing costly revisions and ensuring design intent is accurately captured.

Automation and AI-Assisted Design

Automation and artificial intelligence (AI) are poised to revolutionize the generation of millwork shop drawings. AI algorithms can analyze design inputs, historical data, and performance metrics to generate optimized millwork designs automatically.
Furthermore, AI-powered software can assist designers in generating accurate shop drawings by automating repetitive tasks, such as dimensioning, annotation, and detailing.
This not only accelerates the design process but also reduces the likelihood of human errors, resulting in higher-quality deliverables.

Sustainable Materials and Digital Fabrication

With a growing emphasis on sustainability, the future of millwork shop drawings will see increased integration of eco-friendly materials and digital fabrication techniques.
Designers are exploring innovative materials, such as recycled wood composites and bio-based polymers, to minimize environmental impact without compromising on aesthetics or performance.
Digital fabrication technologies, such as CNC machining and 3D printing, offer precision and efficiency in manufacturing millwork components, while also reducing material waste and energy consumption.

Collaborative Platforms and Cloud-Based Solutions

Collaboration lies at the heart of successful construction projects, and the future of millwork shop drawings will be characterized by enhanced collaboration facilitated by cloud-based platforms.
These platforms enable real-time collaboration among designers, fabricators, and other project stakeholders, regardless of their geographical location.
By centralizing project data and communication channels, cloud-based solutions streamline workflows, improve coordination, and ensure everyone is working from the latest version of the drawings, thereby minimizing errors and delays.

The End Note

As the construction industry continues to evolve, millwork shop drawings will need to adapt to keep pace. The trend towards building information modeling (BIM) and increased use of 3D modeling will likely continue, allowing for more detailed and accurate shop drawings that integrate seamlessly with other project documents and models.
We can also expect to see more use of cloud-based collaboration tools that facilitate real-time sharing and markup of drawings between fabricators, architects, and contractors.
Sustainability will remain an important consideration, driving demand for millwork products manufactured from renewable materials using efficient processes. Shop drawings may need to incorporate more detailed information on a product's environmental footprint, recycled content, and chain-of-custody certification.
Millwork shop drawings are detailed plans for woodwork projects in construction. In the future, these drawings will change in some important ways. One big change is using Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology.

2024.05.13 08:09 SwaggyPig17 Everything to know about Gachas

I've spent several hours throughout the past week researching Gachas and nowhere did I find a single post or comment anywhere that accurately explains everything in the same place, so I'm going to do my best to explain things as best as I can so nobody else will have to research it much either. However, I don't think I know absolutely EVERYTHING about Gachas and might be incorrect on a few points but I'll edit this if anyone can point out where I'm wrong.
Taming: Gachas are tamed passively by dropping items down in front of them, I've heard that you can feed it anything but I haven't tested that myself. When you drop the items, the Gacha will walk towards it (unless it's sitting and it's close enough for it to pick it up) and pick it up, then eat it slowly. According to Dododex it tames better with structures/tools than normal materials. I may have done something wrong but i tried using greenhouse windows in stacks of 10 each (as recommended) to tame them with full effectiveness, but to no avail it always lost effectiveness and still took an incredibly long time to tame. Meanwhile, my brother tamed 4 or 5 just using stone in stacks of 20 with the same effectiveness (like 4%). So in other words, don't use this as a taming guide.
The level of the Gacha doesn't matter as much as it does for most creatures, the most important stat on them is crafting skill, which boosts the production of their crystals (drop rate and the quality of the crystals (normal, primitive, ramshackle, apprentice)). The only reason you might want a high level Gacha is to get a head start on crafting skill or high weight, so you can focus all it's levels into crafting skill and it's still able to hold a significant amount of items at once. From what I've heard, a good base stat of crafting skill on a newly tamed high level Gacha is around 130-135%, but anything beyond that is considered rare.
Crafting Skill: As I already said, it increases the frequency at which crystals drop from the Gacha, I don't know if this means that crystals grow more from eating, or if it means it'll eat the same amount, just more often than normal. All of my Gachas get 1.5% crafting skill per level up, so I'd assume that all tamed Gachas get that amount per level up.
I have seen many people recommend 160% crafting skill for Gachas that you want only the standard crystals that drop materials, and 260% for the leveled crystals (primitive, ramshackle, apprentice). I haven't seen anyone explain why so I can only speculate that beyond 160%, the chances of getting a higher level crystal than the standard ones is just too high to make an efficient material farm, as you would get leveled crystals too often. I have several at 160% and they work very well for materials.
Possible Drops: It would probably be easier to check the wiki for this, but I'll list them anyway. All Gachas get 6 different possible materials they can produce, and of those 6 are 3 common materials, 2 uncommon materials, and 1 rare/very rare materials. When wild they will drop a random one of those 6 resources, but when tamed you can choose whichever one of the 6 resources you want by choosing "Production" in the creature's radial menu (you can also set the production to random, newly tamed Gacha's are set to random by default).
Common Materials:
Uncommon Materials:
Rare Materials:
Very Rare Materials:
If you're looking to tame a Gacha and want to find one with the materials you want, I'd recommend getting very close to the crystal before you pick it up, and check it's level. If there are several Gachas in an area then it can be hard to find one with the right materials you want just by mindlessly picking up every crystal you find. If you check the level and then open the crystal one at a time, and then see the Gacha of that level nearby, it should be easier to find the one you're looking for. It's also important to pay attention to what materials a single Gacha can drop. The first time I tried to tame a Gacha, I thought I found one that dropped both Organic Polymer and Black Pearls. However, if you look at this list above, you can see that both of those are "Rare Materials" and a single Gacha can only have 1 Rare Material as a possible drop. Depending on the material, Gachas drop a different amount, but I'll get into that in another section.
Gachas can drop leveled crystals that can give a variety of different tools/armor as well as some structures. Leveled crystals only have 3 different rarities; Primitive, Ramshackle, Apprentice. So if you came here wondering how to get Ascendant Gacha Crystals, I'm sorry to inform you that as they may have existed years ago, they don't now. Leveled crystals are easily identified by white/green/blue particles floating upward from them. I am not typing out every item that can be dropped by leveled crystals so here is a link where you can check it yourself on the wiki: https://ark.fandom.com/wiki/Gacha_Crystal_(Extinction)?so=searchThe?so=searchThe)
Gacha crystals can drop almost all stone/metal/fabricated tools and weapons, including torches and canteens but not including harpoon launchers. They also drop chitin/flak/riot armor as well as heavy miner's helmets, and for structures they only drop a few different thing such as dinosaur gates/gateways of wood/stone/metal as well as wooden tree platforms (I do not believe behemoth gates are possible). As far as I have observed, Primitive crystals drop Primitive/Ramshackle equipment. Ramshackle crystals drop Ramshackle/Apprentice/Journeyman equipment. Apprentice crystals drop Journeyman/Mastercraft equipment, and I don't believe Ascendant is possible but maybe it is. There is a good chance that I'm somewhat incorrect about the information above, I tested it several times myself but accidentally deleted the note so I'm mostly relying on memory now.
Snow Owl Pellets: Gachas pick up items near them when wild and tamed, including feces and snow owl pellets. They eat feces as more of a last resort option but they eat snow owl pellets almost immediately after obtaining them, granting them a buff. The buff can be identified by yellow, green, blue and red particles swirling over the Gacha's back. Based on my own observation, the buff lasts until the Gacha produces a crystal, even if the Gacha has nothing to eat in it's inventory, meaning the buff will be "on hold" until it can eat. It's important to note that eating snow owl pellets does produce a crystal at all, like it would it if it ate a material like stone. This means if a Snow Owl is directly in front of a Gacha with the buff and nothing in it's inventory, every time the Snow Owl regurgitates a pellet, the Gacha will pick it up and hold it in it's inventory without eating it, allowing you to farm snow owl pellets while afk for later use. Now I will finally get into what the buff actually does.
The buff from the snow owl pellet forces the Gacha to eat until it produces a crystal (again, as long as it has something consumable in it's inventory), the crystal is also forced to produce the maximum amount of the material it can make, assuming the Gacha is in a good mood (I'll explain mood in the next section). I believe the snow owl pellet buff also makes the Gacha more likely to drop leveled crystals, but it didn't seem to impact my pursuit of materials so I wouldn't worry about it if you just want to farm something like metal for example.
Mood: Gachas have good and bad mood which affect their crystal production. The mood is mainly affected by the gender of other Gachas in the vicinity, but mood can also be lowered by taking damage. The mood is dependent on if there is another Gacha of the same gender withing a certain distance.
For example: If you have a male Gacha and female Gacha next to each other, they'll both be in a good mood. If you have 2 male Gachas next to each other, they'll both be in a bad mood. If you have 8 Gachas in a small area, 7 are female and 1 is male, the females will be in a bad mood and the male will be in a good mood. The mood is dependent on if there is another Gacha of the same gender withing a certain distance.
About the distance, I've seen people give several different numbers but it seems that the actual distance that same-gendered Gachas need to be apart is 14 foundations. Now I'll get into what mood actually does.
Bad mood is caused by being too close to another Gacha of the same gender, or taking damage. It causes the Gacha to not only produce crystals slower, but the yield of each crystal will be significantly less. I'm not sure how it affects leveled crystals but as bad mood as basically the counterpart of a snow owl pellet buff, I'd assume it lowers the drop rate of leveled crystals. They also refuse to pick up items, rending the snow owl pellet farming method I mentioned irrelevant. I don't believe they eat snow owl pellets while in a bad mood, and I'm also pretty sure that the bad mood cancels the buff until they're back in a good mood. I'm not sure how long bad mood lasts from taking damage, but after a Gacha is separated (at least 14 foundations) from all other Gachas of the same gender, it remains in a bad mood for a time unless an opposite-gendered Gacha is close to it. Bad mood is easily identified by purple/black particles on its back, similar to the snow owl pellet buff. It will also refuse to look at you if "Ally Looking" is enabled.
Good mood enables the Gacha to produce crystals normally without issues (as long as it has enough to eat) and utilize the snow owl pellet buff. It also will pick up any item near them. It is identified by no lights on its back, and if "Ally Looking" is enabled, it'll look at you.
Gacha Crystal Material Quantity: A Gacha Crystal will drop a different quantity of materials based on its mood and the snow owl pellet buff. This seems to pertain to the rarity of the material (common, uncommon, rare, very rare). I play on single player settings as I'm always playing alone or with my brother, so I don't know if the quantity is different than default for me.
I recently was out of Red Gems and Crystal, and although Crystal was easy enough to find, I couldn't find Red Gems anywhere except one location. So instead of searching around everywhere I decided to check what materials all my Gachas can produce and found that I have one for both Red Crystalized Sap and Crystal, as well as some other materials I was lacking such as Organic Polymer and Metal. So i threw down a male that produced Red Crystalized Sap and a female that produced Crystal and loaded them up with stuff to eat and all my saved snow owl pellets. I kept getting 30 Red Crystalized Sap with the buff and 60 Crystal, also with the buff. But once the buff ran out i was getting around 14-27 Red Crystalized Sap and double that of Crystal. If you refer to the list in the "Possible Drops" section, you can see that Red Crystalized Sap is Rare, whereas Crystal is Uncommon. I also farmed Organic Polymer and Metal with the Gachas and got 30 from each crystal with the snow owl pellet buff.
Upon further testing I have determined the maximum quantity of materials from a Gacha Crystal based on their rarity: (Keep in mind this is with single player settings, I don't know if Gacha Crystal yield is affected by this or other settings. Also keep in mind I don't actually have a Gacha that drops element dust, which is the only Very Rare Material.)
Common: x120 Uncommon: x60 Rare: x30 Very Rare (Element Dust): x15
I can't confirm this but it appears that a Gacha in a good mood without the snow owl pellet buff would produce between 35-100% of its maximum yield per crystal, and a Gacha in a bad mood would produce below 35%.
Breeding: Gachas do not drop eggs after mating and instead have a gestation timer like mammals do. Once the baby has been born, it will pick up items on the ground, allowing you to give it more food than it can hold which can prevent starvation much easier than you can for most creatures, however a Maewing would render this technique useless. I haven't tested this myself, nor was I able to find any information on it but I don't think they can eat everything an adult can, for food at least. They can eat meat and berries (this I can confirm), and I've seen people use rare mushrooms as they provide more food for the baby than meat or berries, but make sure rare mushrooms are the only item in their inventory, or else they might eat other items first.
You can check what a Gacha can produce ("Production" in the radial menu) even in the baby stage, allowing you to easily determine if raising it to an adult is even worthwhile. If not then you can just.... you know. The possible materials are unaffected by the parents and are entirely random. However, one small disadvantage to breeding Gachas is that Element Dust can only be a possible drop for wild-born Gachas. So if you're trying to get one that drops Element Dust, don't waste your time breeding Gachas and just go tame wild ones. You can use the technique I suggested to find one with Element Dust (Check the level the Gacha that dropped the crystal before you pick it up, open the crystal and if you get Element Dust, tame the Gacha of the same level as the one that dropped the crystal).
When imprinting the Gacha, it will not gain more Crafting Skill. The only way to increase this is through level ups or breeding Gachas with high Crafting Skill, I am unaware if Crafting Skill can be increased through mutations but I personally don't think it would be worth the effort even if it is possible.
What to Feed Gachas: This is undoubtedly my favorite thing about Gachas, as I'm the type of player who does not throw out ANYTHING no matter what game I'm playing, so having a good way to transmute junk that I'm unhealthily attached to into resources I need is amazing.
I have thrown everything from Rockwell Recipes to Slingshots in Gachas and they have not turned down a single thing. Sick of dropping stone tools and cloth armor every time you kill something? A Gacha will eat it. Tired of throwing out all your spoiled meat from feeding troughs? A Gacha will eat it. Have a full fault of hide and now you throw out every bit of it you get? A Gacha will eat it. Maybe you have too many Rex Bone Helmet Skins? Sadly a Gacha won't eat it... just kidding yes they will! These things will eat all your garbage you get after you take a newly raised creature out to kill Rexes for XP. All those skins you get every time you respawn, they'll eat those too. With a Gacha, everything has a purpose now, even those Smithy Blueprints you get from every Blue Supply Drop.
Below I'll list the things Gachas will eat in order (1 being most preferred and 10 being least preferred):
  1. Stone (stacks of 20 until gone)
  2. Structures, Ammo (stacks of 20 until gone), Armor, Weapons, Tools, Blueprints
  3. Food items such as raw meat (not Raw Prime Meat/Raw Prime Fish Meat), Spoiled Meat, berries, seeds, cooked meat, crops, mushrooms, etc. (These will be eaten in stacks of 20 until there is no stack of 20 in the Gacha, even if there are 2 stacks of 17, they will be left untouched until later.)
  4. Other materials such as Chitin, Hide, Thatch, Wood, Fiber, Oil (Oil produced by sea creatures is included), etc. (These will be eaten in stacks of 20 until there is no stack of 20 in the Gacha, even if there are 2 stacks of 17, they will be left untouched until later.)
  5. The least wanted things such as incomplete stacks from tier 3 and 4, Rockwell Recipes, Skins, Feces, possibly more. At this point it will also eat Raw Prime Meat, as it considers it an incomplete stack since it can't eat it in groups of 20.
Keep in mind I have not tested every item, it would take a long time and probably be more trouble than it's worth. I would assume other minerals such as Crystal and Obsidian as well as Metal would be in tier 1 with Stone, but I haven't tested them nor do I want to, besides Stone would be undoubtedly easier. I have found that the easiest way to get stuff to feed Gachas is just to keep all the random junk you'd normally throw out, I already listed them but I'll list them again:
What I Do: I just have a single Gacha set to produce Metal sitting off my deck but right next to it, with 2 Snow Owls leaning over the Gacha but standing on the deck. Everyday when I log off, I take everything out of the Gacha and put it into a Snow Owl so it won't eat it while I can't collect the crystals. So when I log on, I take it out of the Snow Owl and put it back in the Gacha, since the Snow Owls are leaning over the Gacha, they puke the snow owl pellets right in front of it so it just picks it up (it's in a good mood due to being the only Gacha around).
Then I go on my daily routine (gather kibble eggs and get a few cave drops nearby) and come back and there's a couple crystals on the ground giving me free Metal to put straight in the forge. I also filter the meat in the main feeding trough and the Hyaenodon next to it and give the Gacha about 1900 Spoiled Meat. Every time I go out on my Rock Drake or other tame, I dump all the stone tools and arrows and other garbage (my Chitin and Hide vaults are full constantly and now Stone, Thatch, Wood keep hitting the max every other day) into the Gacha as well, there's always stuff left at the end of the day because I get so much absolutely useless junk that the Gacha seems to believe is food. Occasionally on a slow day it might run out, so I just go to an oil drill or gas collector and grab everything and take it straight back to the Gacha. Every day I get at least 900 Metal in the forge (raw, not ingots).
Other Notes:
  1. I've seen a lot of people say that mate boosted Gachas produce crystals more, this is not the case. The only good thing about keeping a male and female Gacha next to each other is it allows you to fit twice as many Gachas in an area without them having bad mood.
  2. When a Gacha is set to produce Organic Polymer the best option is to not open the crystal, and instead put it inside a storage container and only open it once you need Polymer, due to the eventual spoilage of Organic Polymer.
  3. Gachas will pick up Feces if a creature defecates close enough to them, but Feces is only eaten as a last resort option compared to most available items.
  4. If you always have a folder in your inventory with your less used items like a Canteen and Sickle and probably same ammo, then it's best to be aware when you transfer all items straight into the Gacha. Sometimes the "Transfer All" button will take things out of your folder as well, resulting in you accidentally feeding the Gacha your own tools (I have lost over 5 Ascendant Sickles and well over 10 stacks of Shotgun Ammo to this). However this seems to usually only happen when you log on for the first time after opening the game. I should know better at this point but I literally just sacrificed 20 Shotgun Ammo today so I'm gonna start dumping everything out of my folder and into my private vault at the end of every day.
  5. I don't think the item that Gachas eat impacts the crystal growth, except tools/weapons/armors/structures seem to equal a group of 20 items (i.e. one mouthful).
  6. Since snow owl pellets spoil after 14 days (default settings), if you don't have anything in your Gacha for it to eat and you're just using it to collect pellets for later use, I'd recommend taking all of them and dumping them into a Dung Beetle at the end of every day. Dung Beetles increase the spoil time of all feces, including snow owl pellets. If you don't have a Dung Beetle, crop plots work as well, although it will be tedious to place down enough crop plots for a large amount of snow owl pellets as each one has an inventory of only 10 slots.
  7. Again, I'd just like to point out that you cannot get Element Dust as a Production option on a bred Gacha.
  8. If you go out for a long time while your Gacha is making crystals, just keep in mind that they only last 15 minutes (default rates).
Anyway that's all I can think of right now, yet I have the feeling I forgot to mention 47097894703 things. If there's anything anyone can confirm or point out, or anything that I should add then please let me know. I'd like for this Gacha essay to help a few people figure out what to do so they don't have to scour the internet for a week. If people actually care about this post then I'll make a detailed post about an optimal Gacha Crystal farm.

2024.05.11 20:36 theforceisfemale A pro C.A.M.P. builder’s plea to make aspects of building more convenient

I really enjoy creating immersive shops, diners, bars, even mini-towns. Right now I have Vault-Tiki, a tiki bar and lounge, Dogmeat Mary’s, a diner, a house and a toy museum. I think I’m pretty good at it, and I do often have strangers hang out for an hour or more watching me build, which doesn’t seem fun to me but I’m flattered!
But there are some things about the CAMP system and the objects in it that don’t function in a way that makes sense. For someone who sinks hours into this aspect of the game, it can be pretty frustrating.
Shelves / Displays:
The foremost issue I have is that you can only utilize the top shelf of any shelf or display. You can situate things on the edge of some middle shelves but they are essentially floating in midair, or you can take an hour or so to build a hack in which many objects are stacked on each other and layers of rugs, then slide that into the shelving unit to appear like things are sitting on the shelves.
Second, the issue where craftable things can only be put in Displays, while purchased things can’t be put in Displays. My Mr. Fuzzy collection being split into two ways of displaying them, between ones bought from the shop and ones collected in game, kills me!
Third, the lack of display options. Can we get metal display cases in addition to the wood ones?
Fourth, some of the Shelves are awesome but useless. For instance, can the sleek rounded metal shelving unit be changed to a Display so we can put things in it? I can’t imagine many people want to fill their buildings with empty cases.
Location Boundaries: I understand the need to space people’s camps out from each other and from POIs, but it feels a little excessive and uneven in different places. There are some POIs where you can be right next to the location, and others where you must be quite a ways away before you can build. I enjoy building my shops near busy POIs so I feel like part of the world.
Blocked Blueprints: If my camp can’t be placed when I load in, two weird things happen most of the time:
My blueprinted building refuses to place anywhere period, saying it’s floating. I imagine a single unattached wire, branch from the map intruding through an object, or a single corner of the building being above ground could all cause this. But it’s heartbreaking to have to scrap a whole build and start from scratch. I’ve learned to blueprint in small batches, but maybe this could be a bit more forgiving? Maybe wires automatically are erased from blueprints if they’re the problem?
Second, if my camp can’t place because another players camp is nearby, I get it. But half the time, there is no camp nearby. And my CAMP kit (don’t know what it’s called, sorry) is sitting there on the ground. But the camp is blocked. I load into a new world and it’s the same. I load a third time, and my camp appears. Why does this happen?
Placements: Could placements / object boundaries be made a little more forgiving?
Also, could there be an option to switch off the snapping? The way that things snap to each other?
Prefabs: Ahhh, prefabs. I love them with some exceptions.
Can we put wallpaper and flooring down please?
Why do they need power wired to them?
That’s all I got for now. Anyway, I love the building aspect of the game and if anyone sees my spots mentioned above in-game, give a wave!

2024.05.11 20:01 Known-Instruction721 Thoughts on new cod 2024 news [COD].

Seemingly the next cod will be announced at the xbox showcase on June 9th. There was a teaser image of a cerberus which means it's cod cause the codename for cod 2024 is cerberus. A blueprint has been found in the MWIII and warzone that shows pistols with 6 tallymarks on the pistols which might mean this game is titled black ops 6. It'll likely be titled BO5, bo6 or bo gulf war. A Frank Woods operator has been found aswell in the MWIII and warzone files which would mean Frank Woods will be a pre order bonus for cod 2024. To unlock the pistol blueprint seemingly there will be an event to unlock this blueprint. Aswell in the files the cerberus reveal was found which means the reveal for cod 2024 is very close. Let me know your thoughts.

2024.05.11 01:51 blopiter The Light: A New Supplementary Economic Model with Specialized Currencies

Why do empires fall? Empires fall because their systems fail to adapt to newer generations. The new generations silently protest this system, and through years of attrition, the system collapses... taking the light of their empire with it.
Hello revolutionaries,
It has come to this. After examining the triumphs and downfalls of previous empires, I’m excited to share The Light: a visionary economic model that utilizes augmented reality (AR) to facilitate a multifaceted supplementary economic system. This model encompasses specialized currencies designed to foster personal growth, community engagement, gender understanding, and support for family life, all within a framework that promotes economic equity and community development. Yes, designing a holistic solution is incredibly difficult and is potentially impossible to implement, so feel free to post any thoughts, insights, or feedback.
Overview of the Economic Model
This system employs an AR platform complemented by publicly owned semi-automated infrastructure to manage specialized currencies, each serving unique societal functions:
Personal Growth (Red) Currency: Earned through activities that foster personal development and health, focusing on demonstrating the application and recall of skills and knowledge. Spent on food, drink and equipment that further fosters personal growth (ie. dumbbells, books). An extension of this idea is that if you complete some schooling (like let’s say you finished secondary education) then you will earn a base amount of red currency every month.
Community (Green) Currency: Acquired by contributing labour to public and community projects, directly improving individual living standards and enhancing community infrastructure. This currency is spent primarily on personal accommodation and home maintenance expenses.
Family (Pink) Currency: A more experimental currency (curious about your thoughts on this). This currency promotes self-gender understanding, opposite-gender empathy, and supporting family life, which is earned through participation in gender education, childcare training, and related programs. This currency is primarily spent on child and baby supplies and certain reproduction-related products. The design north star of pink currency is to promote higher birth rates and greater cohesion between the sexes.
In this supplementary economic model, members will be able to convert some amount of their currencies from this system into cash but not the other way around. This is to prevent exploitation and to preserve the integrity of the system. Under consideration is whether there should be caps to currencies and if users should be allowed to go into debt.
AR System
The AR (Augmented Reality) system at the heart of this economic model is an advanced, interactive platform that integrates digital information with the user's real-world environment. It is designed to enhance individual learning experiences and community engagement through a range of innovative features.
Essentially, the AR system gamifies the living world into a massively multiplayer online game that encourages personal growth, interpersonal trust, community improvement, and even exploration! Engaging tasks are handed out by virtual avatars of prominent local figures, allowing members to engage with figures of their community's history and also giving them a new avenue to preserve their legacy.
The AR system should be designed with robust security protocols in mind and have analog backups in the case of technological disruptions. Also to prevent “cheating” significant events and tasks (such as an Education Recall Assessment to earn Red Currency) should be done in person. Under consideration is that The app should need to stay open to record task progress to discourage users from cheating and/or potentially to curb social media/phone addiction.
Integration of Publicly Owned Automation
Automation plays a crucial role in producing essential resources, ensuring that technological advancements benefit all community members equitably by providing necessities like food and housing materials. We can already automate the production of crops and plant materials; harnessing the power of publicly owned agriculture automation, we could ultimately give away free locally produced food and use plant materials as renewables. It is not at all beyond our capabilities to create fully automated greenhouses. Products created by these greenhouses can be sold for red or green currency.
Community Profiles and War Simulations
We want people to better associate with their local community to prevent issues such as social stratification and globalization.
Community Profiles: Enhance local identity and pride by allowing communities to create profiles showcasing their history, achievements, and cultural values. This will make community participation much more engaging. Community members can vote on slogans and mascots, allowing people to emotionally invest in their local community.
War Simulations: Competitive events that mimic historical or hypothetical conflicts, designed to foster teamwork, strategic planning, and community cohesion. Territories and resources won in these simulations are periodically reset to maintain fairness. Real Conflicts between neighbouring communities could potentially be settled by these war games.
Enhancing Independence and Competence
To ensure that our community members are not overly reliant on technology, we propose integrating more traditional, hands-on methods of learning and crafting:
  1. Local Workshops and Fabrication Labs: Establish centers equipped with tools for woodworking, metalworking, and other crafts, offering hands-on training and preserving traditional skills.
  2. Material Banks: Create repositories for storing materials like wood, stone, and metal, sourced from local environments, promoting recycling and sustainable use. These materials can be purchased locally for cheap using Community Currency.
  3. Tool Lending Libraries: Implement lending programs for essential tools and machinery, ensuring access for all community members.
Education and Training
In this era of technological uncertainty and inequality, we must put greater focus on creating well-rounded generalists. Specialists will still be highly in demand in the age of AI and AGI, but this system is not focused on creating specialists due to social stratification issues.
Ultimately (like way down the road) we want to create a program whose teachings will produce constituents that (if absolutely needed) are capable of handling all their needs themselves. I.e., they can comfortably house themselves, feed themselves, and maintain themselves if they ever find themselves stranded in a forest.
Some additional program workshop examples:
Vocational Training Programs: Expand offerings to include both modern and traditional construction techniques, fostering pride and a sense of accomplishment. Continually educating citizens in construction, maintenance, and safety inspection could bring countless new benefits and freedoms.
Mentorship Programs: Connect novices with experienced craftsmen for skills transfer, extending beyond crafts to include life skills like gardening and cooking.
DIY Workshops: Regularly scheduled sessions empower individuals to manage their own projects, reducing dependency on external services.
Geographic Expansion
We propose expanding these initiatives into less populated areas in North America, such as northern Canada and the inland USA. This would alleviate urban housing issues and promote economic diversity. Under consideration is capping the number of members in high density urban communities to incentives constituents to migrate to less populated rural areas. Imo pressuring migration can be really good but I’ll leave it to Economists to prove this.
Seeking Your Feedback
Community Engagement Features: How do you feel about community profiles and war simulations? Do they add value to community and individual engagement?
Pink Currency Initiatives: Given the focus on promoting gender empathy and supporting family life, how can we ensure these initiatives are inclusive and effective?
Reducing Tech Dependency: What are your thoughts on our strategies to balance technology use with traditional and manual techniques?
Geographic Expansion: What implications and potential benefits do you see in expanding into less populated areas of both Canada and the USA?
This proposal is more than just an economic alternative; it’s a blueprint for a future where technology and community values synergistically improve quality of life. I look forward to your insights, critiques, and suggestions on making this vision a practical reality.
Thank you for your engagement and may The Light forever shine on our Empire!

2024.05.10 18:42 LatterTheme5882 ASA - Certain Mods Not Loading, Crashing Game

ASA - Certain Mods Not Loading, Crashing Game
Looking for help. For some reason with ASA and this started about a month ago now, maybe a tad longer. When joining a server, certain mods won't load and will crash my game over and over. It doesn't matter if I load the mod via joining the server, or going into the ASA mod menu and trying to load it there. All the while, others on the servers I've tried, are on the servers and playing with these mods.
I've tried everything - restarts of the game/steam. Removing the mod from the Mod Menu. Removing the mod from the folder. Removing every single mod from the folder and then try to join the server. I've even removed the game from my computer completely a few times and start fresh and it still does it. I can't figure this out.
I've got a new pc with a 2TB SSD. It's more than capable of handling the game. What am I missing here?
Here's one of the errors:
https://preview.redd.it/wgu7jsudnmzc1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=a473c6326c2ab2a7b451eaa32244fd457849ff3f
Here's one of the mods that won't load. I went into my Mod Menu and clicked on this mod and it shows "Broken File". No matter what I do, I can't seem to get this to load.
https://preview.redd.it/9f0v427qnmzc1.png?width=1432&format=png&auto=webp&s=301ea80868f59f2ea8ce929d548df5a3efa1ff05
HAS anyone else having this problem. I've tried everything and it makes absolutely no sense to me why these work for others but not me. Please help.

2024.05.10 14:15 _N_o_r_B_ a <3 letter with 42 thoughts on FOUNDRY

It’s been some week, huh?
Channel 3 Entertainment and Paradox Interactive, THANK YOU.
WHAT A GAME.
It’s amazing how long it took for someone to provide true factory building & automation in a voxel world; this concept works so incredibly well.
I’m not expecting anything, but if you’re open to randomly-ordered considerations:
___
(1) Some of us reallllly need a worthy excavation tool. That or future therapy.
One in which we can precisely input how much land to remove. Or a faster mining laser for a certain amount of blocks, maybe 20 at its highest setting and 1 at its lowest (the current default).
(2) SPEED. SPEED. SPEED. Be the first game like this to offer something else than only MORE, MORE, MORE like everyone else. If a player puts in a lot of work, a lot of hours, then let him/her keep grinding for special buildings like a machine that makes everything, or one that makes hundreds of parts in seconds, some extreme hardware. Innovate differently and really reward us for all of that grinding (and crying).
(3) Cargo ships do require an improvement; they’re inefficient for what they are (need smaller ones, faster ones, faster loading/unloading times or more storage, more routes with one ship, etc). [EDIT: Recently added the fastest conveyor belts and they do help, but the ships still need some tweaking.]
(4) Vertical belt lifts, even for shorter distances.
(5) More music (it’s really good though).
(6) Maybe reconsider the entire LVP/HVP system and how they coexist. (And as far as data: on the simpler side just tell me clearly how much total power I have on the grid I’m looking at and how much I am using, and then also offer more numbers on another advanced page for players interested in a thorough breakdown.)
(7) C3-BB deserves a more prominent role in the game.
(8) Implement a variable system in the space station in which you’re able to complete different parts orders/missions for Firmarlite and then use it to purchase cool items for your base (we know where this idea's inspired from, ha). Or anything more with the space station, it’s very bare-bones right now.
(9) Sometimes the conveyor balancer splittemerger attaches only to the left or only to the right. Bug? Also, how come no conveyor balancer filter?
(10) Acknowledging the decision to have no personal energy & maintenance management, fall damage, any sort of danger. Those are all great in other games but sometimes you just want to chill and build.
(11) Acknowledging the developer(s) who has C3-BB using his big feet to try and save himself from falling when you remove a block he’s standing on, so cute.
(12) Water transportation/management system. The options to move small amounts with a bucket or hose via a tank, and larger amounts through machinery to create bigger lakes in the middle of dry deserts, or nice waterfalls over certain blocks like stone, etc.
(13) Acknowledging the great painting experience/mechanics - but could we paint the building blocks? Or maybe offer a few different designs (they also serve as visual cues for some players).
(14) More LEDs and floor lights, operating on their own power (mini battery production is fine, if necessary).
(15) Programmable bots which help you with tasks (e.g. 'run 50 small energy poles in this direction'). Maybe offer light coding to have them make decisions if there is some exception ('break tree', 'move to the next available spot', etc).
(16) Add loaders which work with commands/numbers on storages (output “100” circuit boards every “240 seconds”).
(17) Maybe we could have cameras we could install and then monitor those wireless feeds in a modular building to observe parts of our factory, production.
(18) Acknowledging the fantastic bird sounds and ambience in the woods/forests.
(19) Please move the jetpack fuel letters/numbers somewhere else.
(20) Fast-travel panels you're able to step on and go.
(21) Stackable storage you're able to connect.
(22) Smaller freight elevators (half the current size).
(23) Glass building decor, more modern-looking materials.
(24) Upgradeable character crafting system (not just a few times in the research tree but continuously for very fast crafting, or at least a bit more than the current maximum).
(25) Blueprints, and moving entire bases (not copying/pasting but moving).
(26) NPC ships should have sound effects and smoother flight paths (they stutter in the sky sometimes).
(27) The grammasyntax in the database is a little rough. :(
(28) Automation to fly ourselves from a point A to a point B? (solved with fast-travel)
(29) Ultra-rare spots on the map for ultra-rare resources for ultra-rare swag?
(30) How about some friendly life here and there?
(31) Crouch button?
(32) Float still underwater button? (toggle)
(33) More blocks, more colors? (not for painting but the environment)
(34) A couple of premade building block foundation platforms with proper feet/support? (Like really huge ones for extra large buildings that look slick.)
(35) What else could we use the biomass for in the future?
(36) Sometimes I need to zip-line a container between two large towers.
(37) Visual markers for dynamite blast damage to see if any equipment may be affected.
(38) A recycling machine to receive some special recycling material could be nice instead of destroying or incinerating those 40 crates I *ahem* you accidentally made in the beginning of the game.
(39) Hide everything on the screen for clean screenshots/videos button? [EDIT: Alt+U for a developer's tool.]
(40) Show different angles of the emotes, mainly the front to show the actions from a better view.
(41) More biomes, maybe a little snow? (this moon is different, lol)
(42) Maybe just a tiny bit more exploration, the world is beautiful.

In this write-up, we'll explore strategies for locating inexpensive acreage for sale, along with the potential advantages and risks linked with acquiring such properties. There are various reasons why one might be in the market for economical land. Some buyers are seeking an affordable spot to construct their dream abode, while others are keen on investing in land for future development or recreational purposes. Irrespective of your drive, there are ample options available for those in search of purchasing land on a budget.A prime place to initiate your quest for affordable land is by taking the location into account. Remote areas, small communities, and undeveloped regions typically feature lower land prices compared to urban hubs and sought-after vacation spots. While these areas might not offer the same level of conveniences and facilities, they often boast natural charm, peace, and potential for expansion. Bear in mind that ease of access, local statutes, and availability of utilities should be meticulously weighed when assessing potential locales. One prevalent avenue for discovering budget-friendly land is to seek out properties being vended by motivated vendors. These vendors may be open to offering their land at a reduced rate owing to personal or financial concerns. Such opportunities can often be found through digital real estate listings, classified adverts, or by engaging with local real estate brokers who specialize in land transactions. Moreover, attending real estate auctions or reaching out to landowners directly can yield encouraging outcomes.Another path to explore is procuring land from government entities or land conservancies. Federal, state, and local administrations regularly auction off surplus or confiscated land at discounted rates. These properties can range from small residential plots to larger tracts suited for agricultural or commercial use. Additionally, land conservancies and preservation groups may offer cost-effective land for purchasers intending to conserve and safeguard the natural environment.Occasionally, acquiring land directly from the owner can yield substantial savings. By bypassing real estate brokers and their associated fees, purchasers can negotiate directly with the seller to secure a more favorable deal. This approach demands thorough research and due diligence, as purchasers will need to oversee the purchasing process independently. It's critical to meticulously scrutinize property records, procure necessary permits and surveys, and confirm that the land is suitable for the intended purpose. When seeking out affordable land, it's important to contemplate potential hazards and obstacles. Some properties might have limitations or concerns that could affect their value or intended usage. For instance, land situated in flood zones, conservation zones, or with unsteady soil may necessitate additional precautions and considerations. Additionally, properties with legal encumbrances, such as liens or easements, may involve unforeseen expenses and complexities.Prior to finalizing a land acquisition, purchasers should meticulously research zoning regulations, construction codes, and environmental statutes that may impact the property. It's vital to comprehend the restrictions and requisites associated with the land to circumvent unforeseen impediments. Seeking counsel from local land use professionals, environmental advisors, and legal consultants can furnish valuable insights and guidance throughout the land procurement process.Despite the potential adversities, there are numerous advantages and prospects linked with purchasing budget-friendly land. Economical properties can afford purchasers a blank slate to actualize their ideal living space, be it a modest cabin in the woods, a sustainable off-grid retreat, or a self-sustaining homestead. Moreover, purchasing land at a low cost can present substantial potential for appreciation and return on investment, especially in locales ripe for development and advancement. For those with an inclination towards land development and investing, budget-friendly land presents an occasion to capitalize on future trends and demand. By conscientiously examining market conditions, population growth, and infrastructure developments, purchasers can identify undervalued properties with promising long-term potential. Furthermore, economical land can serve as a valuable asset for diversifying investment portfolios and securing future opportunities for development and resale. When contemplating the purchase of inexpensive land, it's indispensable to ponder the potential rewards vis-à-vis the accompanying hazards and obstacles. Purchasers should carefully assess their financial capabilities, long-term blueprints, and risk tolerance before committing to a land procurement. Formulating an exhaustive budget and financial strategy will aid in ascertaining the feasibility and durability of procuring inexpensive land, while taking into account potential expenses and contingencies. To wrap up, the pursuit of inexpensive land offers an exhilarating prospect for individuals endeavoring to realize their property ownership aspirations. With thorough research, due diligence, and innovative thinking, purchasers can unearth unbelievable offers on land for sale. By exploring alternative avenues, such as properties vended by motivated vendors, government auctions, and direct owner sales, purchasers can locate cost-effective land that meets their requisites and aspirations. Nonetheless, it's essential to be mindful of potential hazards and challenges linked with acquiring economical land, and to approach the process with sagacity and planning. With the right approach, procuring dirt cheap land can be a rewarding and transformative experience, leading to a bright and promising future.
