 | Hi, thank you all for your time! It's really hard to see in this picture but some of the scales on his tail pad have this redness at their base? There's no injury but I'm not what exactly this is? I did notice the end of his tail is developing this rusty, red-brown color so I'm wondering if that's the cause? I just love this phone. I just upgraded to a s24 Ultra, but i had to fix my broken S10+ and even tough I upgraded to a great phone this is still my favorite galaxy ever. The design its just the best, they never made something similar again. And the quality of the cameras is still great, i compared the pictures to my in law's A54 and the photos with this phone are just great even better than an actual midrange phone. I rock my S24 Ultra daily, but i always carry my S10 plus just because. I still play some games and watch some content on it. The screen its still amazing and the colors super vibrant, on the S24 the colors are not as vivid as the S10 plus. If this phone had a better battery and some more updates, i would still have it as my main phone. PS: The last samsung flagship with an 3.5 audio jack, miss it sometimes on the Ultra.

I am a 19 year old female who at age 7 was diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma. Melanoma runs strongly in my family, hence why I got it so young. I came across this page and saw a lot of people posting pictures of their moles and marks, asking if they’re concerning.
If your moles have darkened over time (even if they’re from birth), are black in color, stick out from your other moles in any way, please see a dermatologist.
Even if your moles have none of the above indications, and you are concerned about them, please still refer to a dermatologist.
The only way to rule out a mole as concerning, is to have it properly examined by a medical professional.
For those with anxiety:
Melanoma is a not a “rare” cancer, but it is less common than other cancers, only 87,000 people will be diagnosed with melanoma each year, compared to the 234,000 that will be diagnosed each year with lung cancer. Your odds are not that high, especially if you have no family history or you are young.
If the dermatologist does find your moles to be concerning, they will more than likely do a biopsy. I’ve had a couple of these done throughout my life and they are painless. They administer a numbing agent into the area, and scrape off the area with a scalpel, and you will feel nothing.
If you are unfortunate enough to be given a diagnosis of melanoma, don’t panic. The typical treatment for melanoma is surgery. The survival rate for melanoma is astronomically high.
In 2012 I was diagnosed, by the end of the year I had my surgery and I have been cancer free for 12 years. I am okay.
My mom has had melanoma more times than I can count, she had surgical removal everytime. She has been cancer free for 6 years. She is okay.
Don’t panic, make an appointment, you will be okay :)

My sister is telling me that it’s weird for me wanting my guest to wear shades of sage green, and navy blue to my engagement party. I would get it if I was being specific on shades and I was gonna kick them out if they didn’t apply, but I would just like all of our engagement party pictures to kind of look similar and everybody to be dressed kind of in the same color scheme. Am I weird for that?

Sorry, I don't have any pictures for the cat tax, but I want to tell you about my mom's cat who lived to be 20 years old.
I got a text from my mom today that she went to the vet and came home with an empty cat carrier. Her 20 year old cat named Boo had been slowly dying all weekend, and the vet just sped things up.
Boo was an amazing cat. Her first nickname was snot nose scardy cat, then she became less afraid, and it was snot nose stinky butt, and then she wasn't stinky, so it was just snot nose. But, in the last couple years of her life, she got the right meds and wasn't as much of a snot nose.
To know the story of Boo, we have to go back before Boo. When my mom moved to the town she lives in, she still had my childhood cat. But, he was old and failing and we put him down soon after moving. Her house also came with an outdoor cat. The previous owner fed her, and my mom decided to keep feeding her too. (She had one kitten, and both were vaccinated and fixed). Of course, the food attracted more outdoor cats. And, the females had kittens, so there became more cats. Any cats my mom could catch she would vaccinate and fix.
One day, a new cat showed up. He would eventually be named Handsome. (The outdoor cats, other than the original didn't get names, unless a friend/acquaintance adopted one). This cat would march himself into the house any chance he got. My mom kept shooing him out, and he kept going back in. He was telling her that he was her cat, not an outdoor cat. So, she named him Handsome, of course got him fixed and vaccinated, and he became her cat.
Handsome liked to sleep in this flower pot that my mom put blankets in for the cat's. One day a new kitten showed up. She was extra tiny. Handsome let her sleep in the flower pot with him. He groomed her and taught her how to be a cat. He was basically her mother.
That winter, it was super cold. My mom took pity on the little kitten (that we had named Boo because she was Halloween colored), and decided she could come inside too. After all, Handsome had declared her part of the family. She took her to the vet for shots and to get spayed. She got her shots, but was too little to be spayed. Eventually, the vet went ahead and spayed her because she was never going to grow big enough. She was a tiny cat! Handsome passed several years ago at about 17 or 18. He was about 4 years older than Boo.
Boo was sad without Handsome, but adjusted. She was also getting older and slowing down. But still living the good life. She loved sitting on my mom's lap.
And now you know the story of Boo. A well loved cat who has finally gone to rest over the rainbow bridge. I know Handsome was waiting to welcome her.

Hi and welcome to my post! Wanted to start off with a funny to me dad joke.
Nice to meet you, I'm Dylan! To put it simple, I am a single 22 year old man who has been pretty lonely in life and lacking in female connection and interaction. And part of what comes with that is the desire to be intimate with a person. I am very mature for my age and will always be respectful of your boundaries and feelings, especially with anything sexual. Lately all I have is myself when it comes to sexual desires, so I would like to have someone to keep company with in that regard too.
I'm just relaxing at work since there's nothing really going on and thinking about going home tonight and burning a woodwick candle. Perfect for when there's a storm outside. I love candles! 🕯️ Sometimes a campfire outside on a fall night or a crackling WoodWick candle is a relaxing constant among our busy and hectic world. It's nice to just disconnect, feel grounded and happy in your own little cozy space. Feeling calm and collected and at peace. Something that fewer people take the time to do these days.
I am seeking a woman around my age or older to build a close connection with that could possibly lead to a relationship and something intimate which includes the possibility of teasing/sharing pics etc. but only when we were comfortable. I've been feeling a little bummed out lately. I always try and stay happy and see the best in things. But.. I've just been so alone. Most of my whole childhood and adult years have been spent feeling lonely. I grew up surrounded by cornfields which was peaceful but also has a lonely aspect to it. My family never really were close and never did anything as a family really. And part of it too is the fact that I never had any neighbors my age to interact with. But aside from that, my adult life has been very lonely. I'm just always by myself. I barely have any meaningful adult relationships or experiences, or even any friends.
I work a 3-11 job in building maintenance at my company world headquarters building which I love, but again it's very lonely. I work the off shift so the building is always empty. I don't get normal social interaction with people my age or a chance to build relationships. I only have 3 older men as co-workers and we are mostly in the basement away from any people on the floors from knowing our existence. I always walk the floors and see office people laughing and chatting with their coworkers and I just don't have that kind of experience. And just.. no one knows I exist really. Everyone probably assumes I have a lot of friends, but I'm struggling inside with being so alone and trying to meet people and get past the "hi how are you?" "I'm good thanks" stage. Most people don't seem to want to talk beyond that. And most women are already in relationships and thus it would seem weird to approach them in an office setting trying to get to know them deeper. But man those "hi how are yous" are the only real interactions I get during my day.. so thus I decided to come here lol. Rant over, sorry! I promise I'm not a downer. 😅
Now for some things about me!
As you can tell, I am very mature for my age and am polite and have good grammar which unfortunately not everyone my age does anymore lol. I am not active at all on social media/internet culture really and don't know much about all the slang the younger people these days use. I feel like I'm 50. 🤣
I am left handed which is pretty cool. I'm not much of a party person or a drinker, I much prefer a quiet night at home and maybe a beer or two on a weekend but that's about it. I am simple and stay out of drama and trouble and don't get much into politics or other things that cause drama with people. I much prefer a relaxing campfire and a night at home and to just let the world keep on turning haha. I consider myself pretty intelligent and mature, especially for my age which is why I'm open to older ladies.
Physically I'm 180 pounds, have brown hair, green eyes, and a typical build. There's a few pictures on my profile.
Some of my hobbies are:
• Photography
I have a Nikon D200 and D5500 that I love to shoot with. I love nature scenes, abstract, black and white/goth kinda photography, sunsets, etc. it's so fun to just let your mind explore. It's not about what camera you have, but those who are behind the camera! I'm gonna try and photograph the northern lights tonight!
• Cooking and baking
I loveeee to cook and bake! I enjoy making various meals but also love to just have a frozen pizza once in awhile or something like that. I recently made homemade chili which turned out great. I love to bake, especially in the fall! I love pies, cakes, pastries, cookies, etc. I restored a vintage KitchenAid mixer that needed tbe gearbox rebuilt. Eventually I would love to practice home canning my own food.
• Music
Oh my gosh, I like so much!! Alternative rock, punk, post punk, electronic, synth pop, psychedelic rock, hard rock, etc. I am very non judgemental and open when it comes to music. My three current favorite bands are Type O Negative, Joy Division, and the Cure.
• Nature walks and camping
I really enjoy camping, making fires, and relaxing by a campfire. I love to take walks outside and just enjoy the beauty and simplicity of nature. It's wonderful, especially in a world so focused on everything digital.
• Repairing things
I'm a maintenance guy and one of my hobbies is electronics repair so I am good with my hands and just all around good at troubleshooting and fixing all sorts of things around the house. Last week I helped my elderly neighbor get his tractor started, it needed a new component in the starting circuit. So I'm pretty handy which... Comes in handy! 😂
• Autumn 🍁
This isn't a hobby per say, but man do I love the fall!!! It's my absolute favorite time of the year. Oh my gosh. The beautiful colors, crisp cool air, misty and foggy days, rain, lack of bugs, being cuddled up with a candle or by the fire drinking a tea, etc. I love it! There's only two seasons for me. Fall, and waiting for fall! Haha.
• Scented Candles and incense
Going along with my love for fall, I absolutely love candles! I have like 30 something lol. 😂 Currently my favorite are WoodWick, which are owned by Yankee candle. They have such a soothing crackle and the scents are great! I also love to burn incense from time to time as well. I have cottagecore hippie vibes.
• Old houses and architecture
I love old houses! Especially 1900s and Victorian era homes. Old homes have so much character to them and are just so beautiful from a time when people took pride in their craft. I strongly dislike the modern cookie cutter cheap construction of homes today. I would love to live in an old home one day. I also love their architecture and uniqueness, as well as architecture of old cathedrals and other buildings.
• Relaxing
Basic I know, but sometimes on the weekend I just love to get cozy in bed and relax and put on a YouTube video or an album! 😊
That's about it for me, I'm a pretty laid back and simple person. My ideal person is someone who is respectful and honest! I am very straightforward and open minded and would hope that you are as well.

2024.05.14 04:33 remidragon Ramielust Tank: A Review
Where I live the heat and humidity can be brutal, and this year spring is already cooking. So how chuffed was I when Outlier sent me a ramielust tank to test. For the last couple of weeks I’ve been wearing it into the ground. I wanted to really test it, so I leaned into it a bit more than I generally would. At this point it’s seen eight full days of wear (and a cpl partial), has been washed five times, slept in, worked out in, dressed up (a bit), tugged on by a small child and a small-legged dog, and is still in one piece. I know this form, in this fabric, has been highly anticipated by many (myself included) - so here’s what I’ve got:

- Quick Stats:
- I’m 5’10” (or so) and I’ve generally considered my “true size” to be L for Outlier, but have been sizing up lately and enjoying it. I took an XL for a loosebreezier fit in Lilac Mist. I likely will stick with XL however I think I could definitely wear L and fit would still be solid.
- Fabric
- Ramie is a natural fiber, it’s old and it’s bast, if you’ve never encountered it before here’s a better description than I’m going to write: https://outlier.nyc/products/ramielustIn-hand
- In-hand, this batch of ramielust is weighty and smooth, with a dull shine that almost makes it look slightly metallic (ramie-lustrous). The feel of it is like cooled silk. It can be counterintuitive to pull on a heavier (200gsm) fabric to head out into the heat, but in practice the fiber is always pulling heat away from you, while the openness of the fabric welcomes any breeze right through. Along with the weight comes drape that isn’t typical of lighter and stiffer summer fabrics – in motion the sway of the fabric is elegant and special, especially with the cut of the garment (more on that later). The shine of the fabric does become milder following the first wash, but I didn’t notice any significant change after the second or third wash, it’s still got a light gleam to it.
- To be honest, I’ve been looking forward to this fabric, but I didn’t expect it to feel this nice having only ever tried the very first run of ramielust some time ago – I didn’t intend to wear it four days in a row. But I kept reaching for it in part just because I wanted to feel the fabric again.
- Fit + Form
- The only Outlier tank I’ve tried prior to this was the Push/Pull Tank. Compared to that cut (in the same size), the Ramielust Tank is a much looser format. The neckline falls lower, and the chest/body is cut wider – it’s a much easier, more leisurely feel, and the ramielust weight makes the additional fabric really drip down and around you in the most lovely way.
- The cut is open and refined. As with the push/pull tank, the straps are nice and broad, which matches nicely the width of the ramielust tank in the body; it’s substantial, loose, and breezy. When I first tried the tank on pre-wash I immediately thought it was too long, bunching around my hips, but after the first wash/dry the length felt perfect; not cropped, but flowing freely around my midsection when I moved. The fabric sort of leans against you a bit, instead of giving you a full on hug. Not prone to static, just luxurious wavy folds. I really hope this cut shows up more in the future.
- Items of Interest
- Color + Transparency
- The fabric is a bit transparent, but not too much - I have a lot of contrast between my skintone and tattoos, and I wasn’t able to easily see my tattoos through the fabric unless the light was pretty direct, and then only where the fabric was flat and close to my skin. The color is crazy, similar to the other lilacs Outlier has done, but with the added touch of the slightly metallic shine of the fabric. If you’re at all inclined toward this color (in tank or other format), you should go for it.
- Shrinkage Etc.
- I washed on delicate and dried on medium heat (despite the care instructions pleading to dry on low heat) for all five wash/dry passes. On first wash there was ~2” of shrinkage in length, and probably 0.5”-1” of shrinkage to width. The width, I think, released out a bit with wear but the cut is roomy enough that it wasn’t especially noticeable either way. The length also stretches back out a touch, mb 0.5" or so, I think it was calibrated with shrinkage in mind, as again for me the fit was better after losing length. The fabric always tightens up a touch after dry and then relaxes out quickly with wear, which has been true of prior ramielust runs. In comparison to the push/pull tank: I measured 24” across the ramielust tank after first wash/dry, and measured 20” across the push/pull tank which has taken the same wash/dry treatment. Length is similar btwn the two, with ramielust tank being about 1” shorter after wash.
- Hand Feel vs. Prior Runs
- The only other ramielust I’ve had was from the very first run, and I found it effective at dealing with heat but generally rough and a bit unfortunate in terms of texture. This ramielust is very different. I think it was described as “buttery” on live and that’s apt af. If you tried ramielust before and found it rough, you may be pleasantly surprised by how soft and welcoming this run is.
- Twist
- I mean, it exists. It’s not bad, but if you look for it, yea it’s there. If you’ve had ramielust before, it’s pretty much the same thing, either a dealbreaker for you or not. Twist has bothered me in the past but with the looseness and flow of this cut, you really have to be looking for it to notice it.
- Durability
- Not really a selling point for this fabric, but I was pleasantly surprised by how little battle damage I could find after multiple days of non-delicate wear. I found the fabric stretched out across the day a bit but with a wash/dry snapped back to regular form. I did find one small snag on the fabric, not sure where it came from (dogs).
- Pet Hair
- The secret metric for all Outlier fabrics: To what extent does it hold onto pet hair (or lint or whatever) - pleased to report that pet hair comes off of this fabric with little (relative) effort. Take the shirt off, give it a proper shake and a whip, and most of the fur will fall away.
- Random Thoughts/Scenarios
- Wearing under injex overshirts, I noticed that my skin was cooler where it was touching ramie vs. where it was touching injex
- Wearing directly under a rain shell, same thing, felt much cooler where ramielust was touching me vs. the goretex-ish material (no surprise there)
- Wearing as part of a semi-formal outfit works, I think, because of the very apparent quality of the fabric - both color and luster help give it an “elevated” look that can be pretty well dressed up, and Lilac Mist is nice against black.
- Works pretty well as a workout shirt (especially in a small, hot garage with no airflow), handles sweat great, is still soft against the skin even with moisture in the mix; I did drag it against knurling a few times and didn’t find any abrasion damage. Not a replacement for a dedicated exercise shirt and isn’t meant to be, but in a hot and humid environment it’ll do the trick.
- I did have a tiny hand, at one point, tug abruptly on a handful of the fabric, which caused an area to stretch out and bag slightly; a wash and dry snapped it back to normal
- Color + Transparency
- My Feelings
- In the end, my feelings are that this form is the highest and best use for the ramielust fabric (yet). This tank makes me feel protected and unrestricted out in the heat. It keeps me comfortable, it’s easy. I have to look for reasons not to wear it, and I’m running out of them.

I come from a fine arts background, and while I never used a sketchbook as religiously as others (my ideas were never concrete enough to fully sketch out), I still used a small one to make quick sketches and word clouds of ideas for my projects. Physical notebooks are obviously very appealing to me, but there are lots of things I wish I could attach, color in, link, and bookmark for weeks ore years later, that simply isn’t realistic with a traditional, 5x8 sketchbook.
Fast forward to today and I use my iPad very regularly to sketch out notes for home projects, art pieces, and lately I’ve been trying to journal more.
Back when I started I was using Paper, which was one of the earliest and best sketching apps the iPad had. I used that for a few years, but it wasn’t quite as refined as what I was looking for. The pages seemed small, the brushes weren’t overly precise, and the tools are in desperate need of an overhaul. It really was a basic sketchbook app, and now that it has a subscription model, I didn’t really feel like I was utilizing it enough.
Then I tried Moleskine’s app Flow, because I used to sketch a lot with their notebooks, and I also use their Journey app for habit tracking, calendar management, and other to-dos with reminders. However, its subscription model wears on me. I do love its toolbox and they keep bringing out features, but the continuous scrolling pages and lack of distinct journals or books makes organization annoying.
Of course I have used Goodnotes 5, but nowhere near as much as the former two. But I like how structured Goodnotes is, and I think I could also figure out how to make a hyperlinked journal pretty easily. However, it feels a little too mechanical sometimes. One thing I like about the previous two, particularly the latter, is that the tools feel creative and fun.
Lastly, I recently tried Noteshelf, which has some really great design choices, but then some weirder decisions that hold it back in my opinion. I want pages to turn left and right, scrolling down doesn’t feel overly intuitive, and it’d be nice to scroll a page and be on that page, not floating between or having to zoom-to-fit. It’s a one-time purchase, so would it be worth it to put down the $10?
If you’re someone who journals by handwriting, sketches, and writes down ideas, what has worked best for you? Kiddo came home from school and casually mentioned her head was itchy so she went to the nurse who said she “might have lice”. Checked her head and found these + one more, and no live bugs. They’re quite a ways down the hair shaft, and although they look white in the picture they’re more of a golden color in direct light. I haven’t seen her scratching her head at all, but I went ahead with a lice treatment cuz I was spooked. Now that I’m reading through this subreddit I’m wondering if it’s ancient history and I’ve got nothing to worry about.

By "bring to life" I mean from the idea image in your brain to quite literally make it (weird and very specific, I know) for the sake of knowing if it even makes sense. Currently in one of the fics I'm writing I had an idea of the colors I wanted the MC room to have, but I didn't know a coherent way to describe the way all the furniture was placed, so I opened the sims and just started making the room from scratch with tons of CC to have a skeleton of it.
I mean, I've always had this problem so a lot of the time I either heavily edit pictures or, as I mentioned before I just go onto the sims and spend 4-6 hours just trying to make a room, so I wanted to know how other people do it.

It was a sidescroller where you play as a wanted stickman. Basicly a platformer with a desert setting. it was endless, but sectioned into levels or something. I know there was a boss level, but

 | Hi all! So. I made a rookie mistake when preparing to make my temperature blanket and chose the temperature range and colors before getting the temperature range of the time period I'm using, and now 3 of my colors are left unused! So, I have 3 new proposed color schemes and I need help choosing one! I think I'm leaning away from the middle option. I've included my current color range in the second picture. I’m trying to plan what dates to go to Sapporo, Kyoto, and Tokyo in October or November 2024 based on the assumption that fall foliage colors will come in close to the times they did in 2023, which I know was late. This seems to be the assumption the fall foliage forecast for 2024 has made. Is there a good way to see pics of various fall foliage in these areas with the exact dates they were taken in 2023? I can see Google reviews pictures that say “Oct 2023” or “Nov 2023” but I’m trying to get an idea of what the areas looked like in early/mid/late Oct and Nov of 2023. My hope would be to see the colors in Hokkaido, then go to Kyoto knowing we’d be too early for the colors there, then go to Tokyo last hoping that by then the colors will be in Tokyo too. If it’s not feasible without staying for > 2 weeks, I’ll give up on hoping to see colors in both Hokkaido and Tokyo and pick dates based on just Hokkaido foliage since we want to start the trip before mid-November. Any tips?
