For some context, I (22M) live a life that is objectively good or at least neutral: my family love me, got awesome friends, can choose any direction I would want in life, study in one of the best colleges on my country in an course that totally fits me and have a routine that makes all sense to me and it is supposed be the things I like the most on life (learn what I'm finding interesting at the moment as I wake up, study to the college and to my future job, go to the gym, play a game/watch some stuff/play guitar and go to sleep, while on weekends I usually go out with my friends).
I can't really see what I could possibly not like in my life (maybe my course but I'm not sure if it's not an actual consequence of how I feel) still most days suck. Look, I don't even work yet, but I have this feeling of life just being a checklist of obligations that you complete over the day and have some spare time to cope with it. There is no such a thing in my mind that compensates this "having to do stuff". I don't have any dreams, things I enjoyed are no longer fun, dealing with people is tiring (don't get me wrong, I love them, but I have no patience or energy for it anymore) and also have no purpose.
So here I am: no aspirations, no energy to do anything, a lot of hopelessness sometimes, way more impulsive than before and not caring about anything really lately, life is only passing by. Which makes me think I'm depressed (even though I couldn't get to go on a psychiatrist because it's really expensive here and therapy didn't change anything) and, as I can't see nothing in my life that could do this, it must be the way I see the world.
I think most people would call me pessimist although I consider myself realist. I just can't ignore how things are unfair and bad in general, every single day you can see another example of it, be it about money, beauty, choices or just an event that could change your whole life. Hard to explain but is quite common for me to see something bad and just conclude as "life/world sucks".
What I'm supposed to do then ? Because I don't think I can choose to believe now that world is magic and everything is good, no one actually believe this, they just found something that makes up to life sucking and I couldn't find it. Feel free to indicate any Dr. K videos too.

I used to play this game when I was younger. All I remember it was like age of empires, but Roman Empire age. You could make units and form them up in a testudo “tortoise” formation, wedge, and others. The pikemen could be formed in a “ready position”. ,I played an Arabian game back then when I was younger about 10 years ago ,that has the same idea basically a testudo armies with diffrent shapes and abilities you are allowed a number of that increases by the more you develop, and each has their own abilities like atack all,heals,skip,chan(stop next turn),increases moral for the rest to get their special abilities faster etc ,and to each of these had a leader whether it was the Arabian style game or the roman centuries one , that could equipe with gear that increase his little testudo army numbers or makes his special ability hits harder or increase his damage ,and I believe it is multiplayer maybe on Google play or browser ,but it qas a free 2 play .

I got a Seagate One Touch 8TB Hub cause it was on sale on the Seagate website maybe a month or so ago. It has been 100% terrible since I got it. I connected it & started moving games from my main HDDs to the Hub to free up space. I've barely used maybe a few hundred gigs of the 7.3 available TB. It has been terrible. It constantly disconnects itself from the computer for seemingly no reason. When it is connected & the computer is reading it it's running at 100% Active Time & kicks my CPU up to 100% so it slows down the entire computer meaning I can't actually do anything with it which inevitably ends with it disconnecting itself again. I can't even run diagnostics on it because it disconnects before that's done. Is there anything I can do to make this thing not worthless or do I have to figure out returns/exchanges with Seagate?

It was a floor model and has just barely over 5000 hours but for the price+warranty being 1800 in total at Best Buy I still think I got a steal on it.
Anyone that thinks “brightness will get lower with more hours” is wrong and there is absolutely no brain in on this tv at all either. So don’t be afraid of being floor models especially the G3 since it has a heat sink to prevent burn in at those extreme brightnesses.
First impressions is it’s significantly better for gaming than the C3. Movies is a lesser improvement however still very noticeable.
Anyone on the fence of buying these don’t hesitate it is worth it. I don’t believe I’d need the warranty but it is nice to have and can basically get a free tv upgrade in 5 years or make it new.

I recently bought a 2024 Outback Premium and after initially paying $3500 for the dealership's extended warranty, doing my research I realized that was a huge rip off so I got my money refunded on that. So now I have the 3 yea36k mile factory warranty and the 5 yea60k mile powertrain warranty and I've read I can get the extended warranty anytime before my factory one expires. Now, this dealership advertised free oil changes for 2 years/24k miles and that's one of the reasons I purchased the car. But when I go there today, no one seemed to be able to tell me whether I do actually get the free oil changes with one manager flat out telling me "no" til I pulled out paperwork stating otherwise. I'm very frustrated with my whole dealership experience and this really pisses me off. Am I gonna have to argue with them every time I come in for an oil change not to be charged? Do most dealerships offer free oil changes? This is my first time buying a new Subaru, I've owned 2 Outbacks that I bought used and loved them, but having 2nd thoughts about this shadey dealership. especially if I have to come in for maintenance. Can I take it to another dealership or do I have to use this one?

I was playing Burgle Bros 2, and I thought it would have been awesome to increase the player count by having one team on the “down below” and one pulling off some subterfuge. Basically, both halves of the team would be playing two different games altogether or at least two different boards with different rules, but tied to each other, so that they need each other to proceed and win. These games would be played either simultaneously at separate tables or in turns as part of a larger story (or so that smaller groups of players can play both roles). Do games like this exist? Maybe with campaigns so they can switch back and forth?

Last year I ran the Nancy Drew Suspect Dating Game, a series of polls which culminated in a bracket for fans to decide which ND suspect they would most like to date. At the time, Her Interactive had only revealed three characters, so the poll for that game was truncated.
Well, the game is out now, so let's do this one again. It won't impact the bracket (let's be honest, no one was beating the eventual winner), but I want to see if the results will be identical, who might rise or fall in percentage, and if anyone we hadn't known of yet will take a good chunk of the vote.

Lively Wastes

Well we all have issues with the wasteland, ghouls breaking in and eating your food, gangs of raiders chasing you with spears, or random scavengers boarding up your door in an instant. Today I bring some new content and some solutions for a few of these issues.

Enclosed:

This is a new gimmick for base building, when surrounding your entire base, creatues and players may not spawn in it or 2 spaces around it, same rule applies to anyone else trying to build around your base that isn't you or your team mates, this only works if you completely surround your base, corners must be secured as well. Plants and rocks can still spawn in it so floors are advised if you don't want it to be cluttered up or if one of your walls break, ruining the anti spawn/anti place effect. Special ruling applies when players from different teams build, if a player helps you close in your 'house', you both can build without restriction, this can be good for team mates when their team leader dies to not cause issues, down fall is that raiders can cause more issues.

Long story short, I had a manic episode when I started uni, no signs of bipolar at all before this not even depression. My psychiatrist wants to completely pull me off of meds after a year, right now I’m only on 250mg of quietapine (serequol). I know you can’t give me too much advice but what do you bipolar peeps think about this as I’ve seen lots of opposition against being med free on here and kinda making me worry about it. But like surely the best move is to be off meds like no one wants to be on psych meds if they may not need to be.
Also another thing not quite related but like can you have a manic episode and not be bipolar like if anyone stays up for 4-5 days like I did surely they’d go manic, just wondering or maybe I’m like lots of people here trying to find any reason to fuck this diagnoses off haha.

I am a ninth grader who is still doing kumon. My mom made me start VERY late (middle school) so I wouldn't lose grip of the "basics" in middle/high school.
I do sports all 3 seasons - jv volleyball, jv basketball, and jv soccer, but I have just been pulled up for varsity soccer for playoffs. Therefore I am extremely busy year round and have practice everyday, and if i don't, i play club lacrosse.
My parents also want me to have straight a's, if I get a b+ or a-, i get yelled at and I have to pull it up to an A asap. It's been impossible to keep my grades up, play sports well, and do kumon everyday, since I get home around 6-7 everyday or even have games, and then I need the rest of my night to do school work and be prepared.
therefore, i get piled up with kumon on the weekends, generally about 2 weeks behind having me to do 6-7 sets on saturday and 6-7 more on sunday. I don't even go to the center anymore due to my busy schedule and my mom just picks up my work.
I don't score too well on my kumon, which makes it harder for me to convince my parents to let me quit. But the thing is, if any of the topics I get on kumon comes up during math/english class, I do them very well. I think I see kumon as a chore and don't put 100% into it.
I've been constantly reminding my parents of how it doesn't benefit or apply to any of the things I am doing and how busy I am and that kumons whole "practive everyday" theory is useless on me because I have such a busy schedule, but they constantly remind me that I keep scoring bad and they get SUPER mad at me and tell me to "accept it".
If we lose our next game, I won't have any more practices for high school and travel soccer practices twice a week, but I have to study REALLY hard for my finals. I can't continue to do kumon. As of now, I have 6-7 sets to fix, 14 sets of kumon to do by tomorrow, but I have a game tomorrow and 3 math sheets to do for final review. I really need to quit, but my parents always get so mad and never hear me out. What should i do?

I should start off by saying I haven’t had to deal with the customer facing side of retail in about 6 months, I work at the offsite warehouse for one of the biggest department store chains in the US but its still all so draining, even more now because what I do is severely overlooked by corporate and higherups. Constantly playing catch-up because we load and unload 6-12 big pallets of backstock for about 10 different departments, and then we have to backstock it all while also dealing with pulls, which wouldnt be a problem if anyone from the store or corporate ever came to the warehouse to see that maybe we could use some extra hands. Its just my team lead and I from 11-7 most of the week. Whenever we finally do make some good progress and catch up on the workload its immediately time to get the backstock from a double truck push and we’re back at square one. Even that wouldnt be as bad if my work life balance wasnt 90% work 10% life. I work a very abnormal schedule for a normal team member, i work thurs-tuesday, then im off wednesday, work again thursday and friday, off saturday and sunday, work monday and tuesday, off wednesday, then repeat. It’s exhausting and nearly impossible to make any actual plans with people or even enjoy any of the days i have off because i know im just gonna be right back to that 6 day week. I’ve been trying to get my schedule changed but its just not happening. I feel so overworked and underpaid . Guess what though? After my yearly review Ill be making WHOLE 20¢ MORE!!! Youd think doing a much more dangerous and physically intensive job within the company would get you a bit of a pay raise but nope. Its either become a team lead and deal with corporates bullshit even further or just deal with a shitty raise while the workload gets higher and higher because they refuse to higher anyone without them being completely openly available. I hate coming to reddit to vent but I cant even afford therapy in my city with this job.
