Hi I've never owned an og xbox I was interested in getting one so I was doing some research correct me if I'm wrong if the original hdd dies u can't replace it without modding the console ? My ps4 pro hdd failed I put an ssd in it and downloaded the bios or whatever to a thumb drive and it worked.

As the title says, I just finished building a new PC, but it has been experiencing crashes back to desktop while gaming on several games (squad, BMX Streets, gray zone warfare) & 1 crash that rebooted the entire system after I closed out of the Xbox app one time. For added context, I have been utilizing XMP mode in my BIOS (3200 speed) Since these crashes, I have done the following to diagnose/fix the problem. - turned down graphics settings in the games but that didn’t help - ran SFC/SCANNOW which did fix corrupted files, but didn’t fix crashing. - used memtest86 to test ram, which found many errors while using XMP profile with using maximum ram speed (3200) - tuned the XMP profile down to 3066 ram speed & used memtest86 again which found 0 errors.
After this, I also looked at my motherboard accepted RAM and did not find my exact model number there (but found others that were very similar to it)
I have 2 questions:

• based on this do you think it is very likely my ram not being on the motherboards list of acceptable ram to be the culprit of my system instability? It can run fine outside of games for the most part, but games have caused issues inside of 1 hour of playtime each time I try to play. Should I buy one of RAM model numbers on the website for my motherboard?
  
• I had to do a flashback update to my bios for it to accept my 13th gen CPU. Do you think, no matter the ram I use, the xmp profile on the newly updated bios is causing instability and crashes?

After falling out of the Xbox and PS2 era games for about a year im slowing getting back into it and back into my OGXbox plans. is OpenXenium still the way to go? im not into homebrew or emulators i just want to be able to rip out the hard drive before it fails like my last one, and have a custom BIOS before it seemly erases itself into a coma console like my first 2. Id also like to be able to rip all my disks as im also on my 2nd disk drive. Im on my FOURTH OGX that happens to be a 1.0 board with clock cap removed so i would like to do somithing for it rather soon.

Hello, I would like to know if there are other people who suffer from random crashes to the desktop.
The game crashes in singleplayer and multiplayer without error messages, the game is from the xbox app.
I already tested my memory and processor with memtest and the GPU with occt and I didn't get any errors, my PC has the lastest drivers and bios.

I’ve had my build for about 4 years now. So lately I’ve had the issue of USB ports randomly turning off and on. Nothing surprising I’ve reinstalled the usb drivers a few times to fix this. But last night I plugged a Xbox controller into my front usb port, played some games and all went well.
This morning I booted my pc and now my aio pump is not turning on. It’s not registering in the bios either. So of course my cpu is overheating and the pc is shutting down.
Any thoughts on how to reset all my motherboard usbs through bios?

As the title says, im getting error code 11, when the dvd drive isn't present in the xbox. If the dvd drive is in the xbox and plugged in, it will cause it to boot up with no display and the light around the eject button will blink 75% green 25% red. Don't suggest to "make sure the dvd drive is plugged in properly and nothing is loose" because the dvd drive is physically missing the eject motor, (I attempted to replace it since it wasn't spinning anymore, even with the top cover of the drive off) the disk reader doesn't spin the thing holding the disk, and the laser doesn't move. The dvd drive is essentially fried, and I am aware of that. I don't want to spend $100+ usd either to get a new drive or xbox considering I got this one from a yard sale for $10. Any advice on what I can do? I'm don't really care too much by this point if something goes wrong since it was only $10, but it would be nice to get it working for cheap. Could I possibly get any regular IDE dvd drive and modify it somehow to work with the xbox or spoof the bios into thinking it's the original drive? Is it possible to get past the error code 11 screen and into the dashboard without a new dvd drive? Im open to softmodding it, but I don't really want to get a modchip. If it comes to it, I will but for now I want to hold off on that for as long as possible. If it matters, it's a version 1.1, clock capacitor has been removed, both cpu and gpu have been re-pasted with arctic mx-4 thermal paste, and the hdd is still working with no irregular noise coming from it. I have a third party controller, the av cable, and a power cable. Again, any help appreciated. Ask away if anymore information is needed.

Before updating to Windows 11 I could keep games running on my PC for days if I wanted, leaving them paused and returning to it without an issue. However since the update from 10 to 11, pretty much every game hard locks my PC if I leave it running for an hour or two..
I noticed that my RAM was running low since the update. I only had 16 gigs which wasn't a problem before, but now I can see that I'm averaging over 15gb while playing games like Helldivers 2 or Horizon Forbidden West. I added 16gb of RAM to 32gb thinking it would fix the problem.. Nope. I've had four hard locks in the past three days..
I also tried moving my games to a new 980 NVME drive.. Nope.
I turned off my custom overclock settings for the CPU in the bios, thinking it somehow became unstable.. Nope. That hasn't fixed the problem either..
I tried turning off the x.m.p profile in the bios.. Nope.
I tried turning off all other major background apps like Epic Store, Xbox or Wallpaper Engine before playing a game but it makes no difference.
Nearly everytime I walk away while a game is running, even if just for an hour, it freezes I have no idea what's causing the constant freezing but this seems to have started as soon as I switched to 11..
Has anyone else had this happen or am I just being stupid and missing something?

I've built my pc a few months ago and everything has been working fine up until very recently. I would be playing games and my pc would start freezing and would require a force shutdown to fix. It always happened seemingly at random. My internet adapter would also go out and would require a power flush to make it work again. I fixed a few issues that seemed to be a problem like the xbox game bar in the event viewer and such. I updated all of my drivers and updated my BIOS. It still crashes but it seems to be more random now where it crashes while doing basically anything and not just playing games, and now when it freezes and crashes the windows event viewer doesn't show any errors.
I have an asus tuf x670e plus wifi motherboard, ryzen 5 7600x and a 3060 ti. Does anyone have any idea what the issue could be?

Hey all, I'm hoping to find some genuine connections (please be 23+) and not just a quick chat then ghost, the loop of "coming and going" is getting way too old for me. I prefer to not have my time wasted or waste yours (: I literally will cut someone off once I'm given bad vibes or a very good reason to.
A little bio about me:
From the midwest, my height is 4'11. Close friends like to call me fun sized and such so idm nicknames at this point, I enjoy being playful enough to give nicknames back- all with love of course.
I have a baby face so I look younger than my actual age-well what too many people say anyways. I have black brown curly hair, big brown eyes and can pass as a fit curvy girl. I get told my eyes are pretty which ngl they are due to having thick/long eyelashes, other than that I look like I need a cigarette due to the lack of sleep seasoned with depression.
And my personality goes to either being extremely annoying or too quiet, it depends on the mood for the day and if we get along very well then I won't stop yapping. I love being 100% open minded-zero filter and goofy, I might have shit humor but i'll laugh at random things or for no reason 😂 your "not funny" jokes will be funny to me.
Just want someone who doesn't always have to be serious, can talk about anything whether it's deep or not just to care for each other yk? I crave romance in my life at times but I won't force things to happen, I want it to go down naturally and we have to be living close by for future meetups!
My mental health is something I feel is very important to include just so you are aware or anyone really is and with that there's always things that can create obstacles. I have depression/anxiety, struggling for what feels like forever and because of that there's a lot of complications in my life especially when it comes to being social and putting myself out there.
I literally take my time to warm up to new people, I get nervous and overwhelmed with a ton including when it comes to first time calls but after a while of obvious stalling I get some sort of courage along with mini heart attacks to go for it. So be patient with me and I do need my breaks of silence to recharge, I don't like dryness in texting or talking and will most likely drop further contact if it feels like i'm carrying the conversation more than the other. I hate one sided things, I don't want to put effort into someone who doesn't have the same energy as me.
Either way, if any of this would bother you in some way, please skip this post. I have full respect for others knowing we all need a break from speaking or being active in general as long as there's communication like simply giving a heads up or an update. So if we can agree with the "pick up where we left off" thing then perfect 🤝🏼
I don't have a perfect life, not an exact plan for what I want to do yet, goals are not quite met etc etc. so if you're looking for someone who basically has their shit together, well you if you read this far you know I'm not it. I love to struggle, it's for the plot 🤌🏼
As for hobbies, I love gaming. I play lots of cod mw2/mw3, minecraft, RE, persona, dreamlight valley, elden ring, paladins, mario kart, loz, genshin impact etc. I have a ps4/5 and switch, I would love to try and play with others more often vs soloing all the time.
I'm a creative person so I love to draw silly doodles, paint, make random clay art or write stories. Would love to turn it all into a small business someday!
I enjoy horrothrillers or just anything weird. Books, anime, movies etc. my fav mangas and animes are ao haru ride, maid sama, berserk, devils line, higurashi, madoka magica, sailor moon and paranoia agent. Stephen King is my go to and I can read misery over and over again, the movie is also iconic.

Well the hard part I thought was over but ig not. My Xbox frags specifically with cerbios installed on my x3, if i switch back to xblast, noot recovery into flashbios 3.0.1, or even disable a modded bios it boots fine. Couldn’t find anything when I search so sorry if it’s dumb.
