2024.05.14 10:33 abceleung 2 GPUs, one with 3 fans, another with 2: which one on top (for the best airflow/temp)?
I am planning to build a new PC for VFIO.
I will buy a
Gigabyte Gaming OC Pro 3060 Ti (3 fans, 281mm long) and a
GUNNIR Arc A380 Photon (2 fans, 222mm long). I am using a standard front-intake-back-exhaust case (
Fractal Design Torrent Compact).
The top 2 PCIe slots (both connected to the CPU) of my motherboard bifurcates into x8/x8, so I can put either card on the topmost PCIe slot without affecting performance.
Which card would you put on the top slot (for the best temp)? Asking here because this sub probably have a lot of dual GPU users.

2024.05.14 10:30 DaisyZeng What is USB4?
| https://preview.redd.it/4ialu1tmsc0d1.png?width=900&format=png&auto=webp&s=b631be7516e32a0a93797f2961e806bbb3f36414 USB4 is the latest generation of the Universal Serial Bus specification, opening up the potential for higher bandwidth data transfers, support for higher-resolution displays, better interchangeability with other connectors, and a simplified naming scheme, to boot. First announced in August 2019, the standard has taken a little while to get going, but many USB4 devices are now readily available, making it an exciting new connection option for anyone looking to connect external devices to laptops and desktop PCs. The USB4 standard is based on the Thunderbolt 3 protocol, and shares many of its best features, including an up to 40 Gbps data transfer rate, the reversible USB-C connector type, the ability to handle video and data at the same time, and the potential for higher wattage power delivery. USB4 is everything that was great about USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 and ratchets it up a notch, making it one of the most versatile connection options available today. Interested? Here’s everything you need to know about USB4. From USB 1 to USB4 The USB standard is ubiquitous throughout the tech world. After all, “USB” is an acronym for “Universal Serial Bus,” and it’s had more than two decades to do its name proud. The standard has seen its fair share of updates over the 23 years since its introduction, each of which brought higher speeds, new features, and new connection types, and the latest generation is the most exciting and capable of the lot. The USB standard was introduced in 1996 as a way to standardize peripheral connections under one specification. USB 1.0, the first USB specification, used the traditional, non-reversible Type-A connection on the host and offered transfer speeds up to 12 Mbps. USB 2.0 was introduced in 2001 and was much faster, operating at up to 480 Mbps. USB 2.0 also incorporated new form factors, including the Micro B port (commonly seen on older phones and external hard drives). USB 3.0 brought another speed bump in 2011, offering up to 5 Gbps transfer speeds. USB 3.0 saw a few iterations, primarily USB 3.1 in 2014 (up to 10 Gbps) and USB 3.2 in 2017 (up to 20 Gbps). 3.0 speeds were supported on multiple connector types including the standard A connector, B, and, micro-B, now ubiquitous Type-C connection. New features were introduced over the generations too, including the ability to transmit video, as well as data, and the option of super-fast charging using USB Power Delivery. The next update to the USB standard is now here. After officially being announced by the USB Promoter Group on March 4, 2019, USB4 cables and devices are now available and ready for use. But what is USB4? In this article, we will discuss what the new specification brings and highlight its advantages over its predecessor USB 3.2 standard, in all its derivatives. What are the main advantages of USB4? The USB4 specification (officially known as “USB4,” written without space) has three key traits, according to the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF). These include: - Two-lane operation with up to 80 Gbps operation (over certified cables), using the USB Type-C connection, though more modest speeds like 40 Gbps, and 20 Gbps, will be more common;
- More efficient sharing between data and display protocols;
- Backward compatibility with USB 3.2, USB 3.1, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, and even Thunderbolt 3.
- Faster charging USB Power Delivery at up to 240W
- Support for up to DisplayPory 2.1 using DisplayPort Alt Mode over USB.
There is also the additional advantage of simplifying the naming scheme for USB. The previous generations of USB 3 grew incredibly confusing over their lifetimes. What began as USB 3, turned into USB 3.1 and USB 3.2, which in turn led to the recategorization of previous versions. They were all ultimately renamed as generations (or Gens) of USB 3.2, so USB 3.0 became USB 3.2 Gen 1, and USB 3.1, became USB 3.2 Gen 2. The maximum performance USB 3.2 version was ultimately called USB 3.2 Gen 2x2. USB4 starts afresh with a new generation of connectors, and though their speed can vary, there is at least a single generation that they are all a part of. All USB4 cables are USB-C, too, so the connector type does not need to be specified. 1. Significantly faster transfer speeds than USB 3.2 The first point is fairly straightforward and might seem like the most obvious advantage of USB4. Until the release of USB4, the fastest USB specification, USB 3.2 Gen 2x2, only offered transfer speeds up to 20 Gbps, though its 10 Gbps counterpart is far more common on devices. USB 3.2 Gen 2 transfers data at up to 10 Gbps, USB 3.2 Gen 1 (and all previous USB 3.0 and 3.1 specifications) operate at up to 5 Gbps. The original USB4 specification penned its maximum performance at 40 Gbps – the same as the Thunderbolt 3 protocol it is based off of. However, since then the USB Implementer’s Forum has also introduced a new USB 80 Gbps certification, which would grant some active USB4 cables the ability to transmit data at up to 80 Gbps – double that of even Thunderbolt 4. Compatible cables will be labelled with the unique 80 Gbps logo, and those able to deliver higher wattage power delivery to also have unique logos stating their potential wattage. Like Thunderbolt 3, USB4 uses the USB Type-C connection. USB Type-C is the rounded, reversible connection seen on most modern Android phones and laptops. In addition to data, the USB Type-C construction also allows for display connections, which plays nicely into USB4’s second characteristic: dynamic bandwidth allocation for data and display connections. https://preview.redd.it/surlfoijsc0d1.png?width=559&format=png&auto=webp&s=a53703cf03e4754346c551592c4d64e525cb81f9 2. Improved bandwidth allocation over USB Type-C While other USB specifications can similarly transfer data and display information, they tend to have trouble with bandwidth allocation, splitting bandwidth evenly between connected devices. For example, if an external storage device and a display are connected to a computer through a USB Type-C dock, bandwidth will be evenly split between the display and the storage device. This can throttle the transfer rate of the storage device. USB4 doesn’t have those issues because it can dynamically monitor bandwidth requirements for connected displays and save the rest of the bandwidth for data transfer. Previously, data could only be transmitted through the data lane and video could only be sent through the video lane. That means even if a connected display didn’t use an entire lane’s worth of bandwidth (5 or 10Gbps), the unused bandwidth couldn’t be allocated for data transfer and vice versa. Now data and video can share lanes and therefore share the total maximum bandwidth. This makes connecting multiple devices through a dock much more efficient. 3. Backward compatible with USB 2.0 and up The introduction of the Type-C connector has already caused many consumers enough consternation, and the USB-IF is likely aware of this. So, not to immediately render other USB specifications obsolete, USB4 is backward compatible with everything from USB 2.0 to the latest USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 specifications. That is welcome news to users with legacy USB peripherals, though there is a small catch. While older USB devices will be able to connect to a USB4 port (using an adapter, if needed), the device will only be able to operate at the slower USB standard. For example, a USB 2.0 external hard drive will be able to connect to a USB4 port using an adapter, but transfer speeds will only occur at USB 2.0 speeds (up to 480 Mbps). USB4 vs. Thunderbolt 3 vs. Thunderbolt 4 The USB-IF made it clear early on that USB4 would be backward compatible with Thunderbolt 3, but there are a few points to note. It is important to understand that the USB4 spec is based on the Thunderbolt 3 protocol, which Intel donated to USB. However, despite it being based on the TB3 protocol, support for TB3 is not mandatory for USB4. USB4 devices will need to be separately certified by Intel as “Thunderbolt 4 certified” to use the Thunderbolt logo. Thunderbolt 3 compatible USB4 ports will then be Thunderbolt 4 ports. This means that not all computers with USB4 will work with Thunderbolt 3 and Thunderbolt 4 peripherals at Thunderbolt 3 or 4 specifications, but will be able to operate at the full potential of that cable within the USB4 specifications. As such, it is unlikely that Thunderbolt 3 will disappear from the PC landscape. While it’s likely we will see more USB4 desktops and laptops with AMD CPUs, they won’t always have Thunderbolt 3 support since they’d have to get separate Intel certifications. On the other hand, Intel-powered machines with USB4 are more likely to be compatible with Thunderbolt 3 since they’re already using Intel technology. Put simply, USB4 can support Thunderbolt 3, but it doesn’t have to. Consumers should specifically note whether or not a new device supports Thunderbolt 3 via USB4 should they want to connect it to via Thunderbolt 3. However, for those looking to maximize data transfer rates, the support for Thunderbolt on AMD-based PCs may not matter. USB4’s ability to transfer data at up to 80 Gbps and up to 240W of power, is unparalleled on even the best Thunderbolt 4 connection. What else can USB4 do? In addition to higher transfer speeds, improved bandwidth allocation, and backward compatibility, USB4 also offers a much more robust Power Delivery system. The original specification rated it for up to 100 Watts over its USB-C port. However, since then the USB Implementer’s Forum has released its USB4 2.0 specification that not only offers greater bandwidths of up to 80 Gbps on compatible active USB4 cables but also allows for an increase in USB Power Delivery to 240W, which makes for faster charging of even the most high-end of laptops. Many USB-C ports prior to USB4 already supported some form of Power Delivery, but USB4 raises the potential charging power of the port considerably. Not all USB4 ports support the highest charging abilities, though, and the USB Implementer’s Forum has mandated that cables compatible with specific wattages sport logos to make it clear what they can deliver. When implemented by the host, USB4 can also use intelligent Power Delivery. This allows a USB4 cable to deliver as much power as a connected device requests, up to 240W Watts. Even better, the Power Delivery over USB4 is bi-directional, allowing power to flow to and from a connected device. That can be particularly useful when it comes to connecting to external displays, as they can then use their main power source to charge a connected laptop. USB4 uses DisplayPort Alt mode to transmit video to an external display, and can even be used to daisy chain multiple external displays together. Introduced with the USB-C connector in earlier generations of USB technology, USB4 leverages DisplayPort Alt mode in much the same way, although to an advanced standard. The original USB4 specification supported DisplayPort 1.4, but the newer USB4 80Gbps standard unlocks the option of DisplayPort 2.1 support, giving it the ability to transmit 4K video at up to 240Hz, or even handle a single 10K display at up to 60Hz. submitted by DaisyZeng to UsbCHardware [link] [comments] |
2024.05.14 10:27 Evil_WIZ4RD What’s y’all’s favorite weapon/spell builds? Here is mine!
Hey! First of all, from my experience there isn’t a perfect build (obviously) since it depends on the kind of player you are and what kind of Boss you are fighting. I am playing on a PvPvE server where I also run into player combat and I have been having good fights with this. Let me know what you guys think and what kind of build you guys are running.
(For reference, I am now in the mid-end game, gear level 70~)
Main Weapon: Silver Whip - Nice midrange weapon that works well with my static effects
Dash: Veil of Storm - for the static effect
Q: Undead Night - Good to get Boss Aggro off your back, paired nicely with a gem that spawns a skeleton mage when the knight dies
E: Ice Nova - IMO the best AoE spell for annoying swarms of enemies + frost cuz it’s cool (literally)
T: Arctic Leap - This one is a „Get out of jail for free“ card. If things get dicey, both PvP and PvE, you Leap away and freeze them in the process.
Alternatively, I like switching out the T-Ability for Chaos Barrage if it’s a single target boss I am fighting and if the Boss has annoying projectiles, I switch the ice nova for either Discharge or Frost Barrier.
Also a hidden tip for those who read all the way till here: The new Passivs are mad strong if you get them around level 60. In my case, the first level static passive adds a juicy 20% to the static damage my whip does in combination with my Dash and Weapon Shard :)

2024.05.14 10:17 Just-Pudding4554 Thundercrash vs. Twilight arsenal
Keep in mind: Twilight Arsenal is NOT released yet! Its just a theory i want to do!
@post: Raw Thundercrash (without exotic) right now is bad. It does around 220k dmg, making it the worst one off super in the whole game, with the longest cooldown, beeing melee (dangerous and unusable in some cases) and bugged (cant hit enemies directly in whole onslaught for example). Cast time is around 2 sec (Up to around 7 sec depending on distance and repositioning).
We saw a preview for the new range super Twilight Arsenal. In the preview it did 377k. No exotic needed. Its range, means its usable in every single content and less dangerous. Even if both supers are not meant for it, but Twilight also has the better add clear thanks to 3 throws where you can change the target during super. I stoped the time: Cast time is 5 sec (No Chaos reach situation everyone are scared of). You also get a 3 free axes. We dont know the actual dps of the axes so i wont add any dmg potential here. Still a free potential free ammo weapon.
Still keep in mind: It was non released footage! However YouTube comment and reddit posts where disapointed for the 377k dmg. So im 100% convinced, the 377k dmg number tends to go even higher than lower for the final release. I know some people have true problems with bungie, but bungie proofed a lot, that they hear the feedback from players like Strand Titans beeing another "weak" Roaming super, ended up Beeing one of the best supers. (I know Others we're pissed for the "boring" part, but bungie finally handled a roaming super pretty good)
So:
In this state...why should i ever use Thundercrash over Twilight Arsenal? Dangerous, and sometimes not usable 220k vs save ranged 377k (maybe even higher) and alsways usable?
Its just a potential situation if bungie decide to NOT buff Thundercrash, which should defenetly happen (cuirass needs a complete rework). We are 3 weeks away from dlc release and bungie already mentioned buffs and tweaks for aspects...NOT for supers.
So the question remains: Why should i use Thundercrash 220k over Twilight Arsenal 377k(+++)?

2024.05.14 10:13 harkaz Update - "Casual players: is it even possible to get rival in shuffle atm?"
TL;DR from last post: I rolled DH last season since everyone talked about how laughably easy they were to dominate just about everything and get 1800 without much effort. I hovered right below 1800 for multiple games with about 50% wins.
I appreciate the replies that I got. You all really helped me improve as a pvper. The first thing I did, tbh, was to drop the DH for a bit. I went on my retribution paladin and played for a bit. I managed to get my first rival! Not only that, I ended up getting my personal best rank at 1924.
I felt that was about where my skill level was, so I started playing other chars as well. Within weeks I'd gotten into rival on fistweaver, devoker, ret, holy priest, bm, ele, balance, assass rogue. I've stayed away from S4 until this week (after running into 2300+ MMR teams exclusively for the first 2 weeks in 3v3), but my initial few games on devoker managed to buff my MMV to 2121 which is a personal best for me. Can't wait to play it more! Funnily enough: my DH is still below 1800. I've managed to improve my dps somewhat with your advice, but I manage to play just about any other spec in the game better than I play DH.
I hope this can provide hope to other people with a limited amount of hours a day to play. Cheers.

2024.05.14 10:11 IWI_Tavor_7 is there mod that changes undead units into actual undead?
this game probably has the best necromancy powerfantasy ive seen with the amount of options and unique stuff u could get from certain lords and traits, but even then the raise undead mechanic feels just like another pretty generic summon ability getting u troops out of thin air but with the undead label. So, basically is there a way to actually raise the dead (in both sides) from a battle to have them as your troops, like lets say ur fighting the dwarfs and use raise dead on a field of dead doomseekers plus some other, the undead u get would be based on the troops within that selected area so u get undead dwarfs, and another example like once u get the defiled cairn for wight kings instead of just a simple recruitment u could also spec into an ability that lets u reanimate dead enemy heroes as ur own wight kings (or for vampires they could get vampire lords out of dead lords). If there isnt then maybe theres already an existing mechanic similar to this from some dlc that i could get?

2024.05.14 09:54 aspirer_ Problemadong Teenager
Hello, gusto ko na lang talagang ilabas 'to kasi hirap na hirap na talaga ako. Please suggest some things that I can do to lessen my problems, pero sana hindi masyadong harsh hehe.
I'm 18 years old and pakiramdam ko sa lahat ng parte ng buhay may problema ako. Dapat 1st year na ako ngayong AY and turning second year next sem, pero I dropped out first sem pa lang ng freshman year ko. Sinabi ko sa family ko na ittry kong mag-aral mag-code/program (since yung kinuha kong course is Computer Science) and bigyan lang nila akong 1 year, pag nag fail mag-eenroll ako ngayong year. And yun na nga, nag-fail.
Pero here's the real reason why I dropped out of college: - I was pressured, since maraming nag-papaaral sa'kin ang dami kong tao na kinoconsider bago ako makapag desisyon, and I overthink a LOT. - add ko pa rito na I applied for scholarships tapos lagi akong tinatanong kung nakapasa ba ako, sobrang tagal ng resulta and may scholarship na nag-release ng result tapos hindi ako nakapasa so lalo pa akong na-down. (may isang scholarship na nakapasa ako pero too late because nag-drop out na ako when they released the passers.) - Friends & cousins (not the ones that are helping me, father's side), nung nakapasa ako sa univ na yon my friends and cousins weren't that happy for me, they were asking kung dun na ba ako mag-aaral and all.
I deleted my socmeds when I dropped out, wala akong na akong connections sa lahat ng mga kaibigan ko for the past 8 months.
May nangyayari pang gulo sa pamilya namin ngayon so mas lalo akong nahihirapan pero hindi na ako magdedetail sa part na to.
And I'm also broken hearted rn haha, my ex who is also my best friend is now out of my life. Malaki rin yung naging parte nya sa buhay ko because we've known each other for around 6 years.

2024.05.14 09:50 RubyShabranigdu ATK or SPD boots Yanqing?

Some day I will replace that rope, just haven't had a good one to replace it with yet. Do you think he would be better with those shoes instead? He'd still pass 160 SPD with Ruan Mei and his trace SPD boost active, so Glamoth would still be on. His ATK would rise to around 3600. So far I kinda like him triple-turning some stuff, but I don't know if it's actually the best DPS-wise and would love to hear some advice on that. (CritDMG would also drop 20%, though...) So glad Aventurine came so I can finally have March 7th take a well-deserved rest on the bench! submitted by RubyShabranigdu to YanqingMains [link] [comments] |
2024.05.14 09:47 Remarkable_Match9637 Beast mastery
Currently at least 2 runes for beastmastery aren’t useful or in the case of cobra strikes, they are very counter intuitive.
Kill Command effectively adds 60, 40 and 20% damage to bite/claw every 60 seconds, or 1.2 pet special ability. It’s a meme pvp rune at best in its current version. It cannot compete with either sniper training or flanking strike.
Beast mastery has been reduced to 10% pet damage and 50% focus down from 30% damage and 80% focus. And virtually cannot compete with chimera shot at this point.
Cobra strikes gives your pet a 100% to crit after landing a crit with a shot, but at the cost of 10% overall stats. Your pet scales with your critical hit chance 100% so by the time you have the critchance to make this matter, your pet has enough crit to offset the potential damage increase.
Potential changes:
Kill Command: an active ability that deals damage and becomes active after landing a critical hit with a ranged ability.
Beast mastery: all pet’s now have maximum health/armodamage modifiers (10%) can learn dash/dive/charge (depending on pet) bite no longer has a cooldown, whenever your pet lands a critical hit increases all damage done by all party members by 3% for 5 seconds.
Cobra strikes: instead of giving your abilities a chance to critically hit, increase their damage by 20-50% to special attacks whatever is suitable.
New at 60: go for throat: whenever you land a critical strike with a ranged weapon restore 25 focus to your pet.
Very crit focused, takes away a lot of the passive damage dealt by pets, gives BM group utility. Beast mastery might need some rework to not make it enticing for MM specs to pick up.
Thanks for reading my tedtalk

2024.05.14 09:25 ff_Tempest How to itemize around Blade of the Ruined King (in 14.10)
| So, as probably many of you, I am a Blade of the Ruined King enjoyer, I build it pretty much every game in soloQ. I just love the item, it gives a really complete stat profile and it's specially good into bruisers (with some exceptions) which are normally the hardest champions to outduel 1v1. It also acts as a safety net in case we are behind, because it's damage scales with the enemy lvl and items, so it ensures we are always relevant no matter what. Now, the item got changed for next patch, and maybe some of you don't know what this change entails. https://preview.redd.it/n95ltpbr6c0d1.png?width=530&format=png&auto=webp&s=d08661688a5aa62d6749ab005a113ad5ee4ccc4e TL;DR: It's a nerf to the item. Why? Because 3% current HP damage is simply more damage against almost every target than 15 AD, even accounting for the increase in DPS the 5% extra AS provides. The 2% extra lifesteal is negligible and the slow passive got massively nerfed to proc on the third consecutive hit instead of just the first. Does this kill the item though? No, because there are a couple "New" synergies you can abuse next patch, and that are probably the reason the item had to get nerfed preventively. Mainly: https://preview.redd.it/ifudwm887c0d1.png?width=523&format=png&auto=webp&s=d0310cfc539496bdede9b480e2eb41b417e32a6a And https://preview.redd.it/nik4rv077c0d1.png?width=540&format=png&auto=webp&s=309625496b9dc6f39954d3d8ee52b5c98423a8a5 These rune and item combo have insane synergy with Bork. 40% armor pen is INSANE for Bork's passive. The way you make a build scale to the lategame with Bork is to itemize Armor Penetration, because the on-hit damage already scales with enemy HP, so the only counter it has is armor. Armor Penetration is the "Infinity Edge" of physical on-hit damage. And then since Riot removed Lethal Tempo, we can (and kinda have to) go the new Press the Attack rune, which on proc increases ALL our damage by 8%, INCLUDING the damage from our on-hit effects like Bork's passive. Now that the synergies are explained, how does a build like this look like in 14.10? Well, we will start with Berserkers as always, that didn't change, but our 1st item will be the new Navori Flickerblade: https://preview.redd.it/rhectami8c0d1.png?width=525&format=png&auto=webp&s=9b0dd82491d10a383c194f691384ca77ca661db6 https://preview.redd.it/p7cupx3o8c0d1.png?width=523&format=png&auto=webp&s=08279a6b441c23856dea1bcedbdfa2286bad4d35 Why? Why not Bork first item? The reason is you need a lot of attackspeed in your first item build path because LT got removed, and Navori's build path is Zeal + Dagger + Dagger, which is insanely good. The item is also really cheap which means you hit a first item powerspike very early into the game, and it provides movement speed which is the most broken stat in the entire game, specially if you understand how to make use of it. Why not Phantom Dancer instead? https://preview.redd.it/jv18gtp69c0d1.png?width=524&format=png&auto=webp&s=a3187eb534a9b02208a9f2bc8fe372218536b247 You could go PD instead, for example on Yasuo PD will be better for sure, but Navori reduces the cooldown of all your basic abilities by a lot (yes including Q). For example Yone's W will have roughly 3s CD instead of 6s with Navori if you are hitting someone. Yone's W is broken as fuck, you may not realize how strong it is to have your W that often off the top of your head, give it a try once the patch drops. Then our 2nd tem will be Bork: https://preview.redd.it/x5f3plzr9c0d1.png?width=543&format=png&auto=webp&s=ff6b70325aa4db6b368c78cac5784e6bbb654727 Not much to say, extra AS, lifesteal, the slow, the damage. The item provides a bit of everything. Your 3rd item will be Lord Dominiks: https://preview.redd.it/pvoig5g3ac0d1.png?width=530&format=png&auto=webp&s=83713a7cae93001357f1933cc55c74e91f8af04d At this point your damage will be insanely high, remember that we also have Press the Attack. At this point there is nothing you cannot kill, bruisers, tanks, you deal a lot of damage to anything, and you still have enough damage to kill squishy targets in 4 or 5 hits. At this point what we need is survivability, we already have very high damage and DPS, we need some baseline tankyness in order to survive long enough to be able to deal our damage. So our 4th will be a situational tank item: https://preview.redd.it/uduyplovac0d1.png?width=545&format=png&auto=webp&s=561b89af34164b0acc0b2cce0a8efb6faae466dc Jaksho tends to be the most common choice because most teams have a good mix of physical and magical damage, but it's situational, you could go Randuims into crit champs, Thornmail for antihealing, or Rukern against heavy APs. Last item could vary a lot depending on games, but generally you will want to try and get a Bloodthirster. This version of the item is just too broken to avoid, the amount of lifesteal and the shield are insanely good defensive tools paired with Jaksho's baseline lvl of defense, and 80AD is a metric shit ton of damage. https://preview.redd.it/1twyw5z6gc0d1.png?width=969&format=png&auto=webp&s=bd3197632cfd95d6123d19aa7aeff970f4c6a4d2 https://preview.redd.it/uf6zumajbc0d1.png?width=530&format=png&auto=webp&s=1e7a16c84d28aa6596c42ee5767114f029ff9679 Some good alternatives are: GA, DD, Scimitar and Maw, but BT should be overall the best, since we are going a very cheap item first, and we are replacing IE with Lord Dominik in this build, which is 400g cheaper, we should be able to get BT last with reasonable ease in games that go for long enough. Don't upgrade Boots into Zephyr, that is very bait, instead, sell Berserkers and get yourself a PD. it gives almost the same movement speed, but with extra AS, damage and the ghosted passive. Your final 6 item build should look like this: https://preview.redd.it/8iwpt1r9cc0d1.png?width=534&format=png&auto=webp&s=04467e418de8dc826cc2deaeee0cf72af67647de In-game stats: https://preview.redd.it/z6w22bz7dc0d1.png?width=922&format=png&auto=webp&s=0c4cd956dc16a084bfeea5e40270a4151ae0a05b Lastly, I will tackle a very common question people have when they see a build like this one: "Why no IE?" The reason you don't go IE here is because it has absolutely zero synergy with Bork, Lord Dominiks is what scales Bork damage, if you go IE instead you will deal less damage to anything below 120 armor, which most champions have in mid to lategame, and IE is way more expensive aswell. Why no both IE and Lord Doms? because we have a limited amount of item slots, you need an AS item first, Bork second, LDR 3rd, those are your core items, you cannot change them. Then you need a tank item to survive, you cannot skip this either. That only leaves you the last item slot, when you have this much damage already BT is simply a smarter choice, you are essentially trading crit damage for 18% lifesteal and a 400hp overshield, these defensive layers will prove more useful in most cases. If you want to go IE you can make a different build altogether, like this one here (in the order shown): https://preview.redd.it/th1p1ztiec0d1.png?width=529&format=png&auto=webp&s=6670f89e8640a4b7b5052670c7a012d7d86c1cbb Totally fine build aswell, but you can't really fit Bork in this build, because by going IE 2nd item you mostly want high AD to make use of your crit multiplier, so BT 3rd is best in slot, then you need defense 4th and armor pen last, you cannot fit Bork and wouldn't make sense to replace any other item for it. Also, in a build like this Conqueror should be better than PtA unless PtA turns out to be just broken, cause the AD and healing are great paired with IE. submitted by ff_Tempest to YoneMains [link] [comments] |
2024.05.14 09:08 ClayKavalier Ned Grabavoy's Track Record
Many people are calling for Ned's head lately.
I don't think he's been perfect. He has a positive reputation around the league at least as a person and businessperson. That doesn't mean he's a good scout.
I think it's important to separate hirings into categories one would attribute to the owner, the coach, or the general manager, even though it is reportedly a collaborative process and Paulson has to sign off on everything. It is also essential to note that different coaches have different systems, styles, strategies, and tactics. Players identified as having the skills, disposition, mentality, etc. for particular purposes under a particular coach may not work as well in different circumstances. For example, I'll suggest that having a slow right centerback isn't as much of a problem with a right fullback who can track back, central midfielders who can help cover, and an offense that defends higher, doesn't turn the ball over so often, and is effective in attack. Also, given the relatively sudden and unexpected departures of Porter and Wilkinson, and the transition periods between coaches and scouting/technical staff, it's important to note that there were times when there weren't people in particular roles and the styles, tactics, strategies, philosophies, etc. weren't clear or changed.
While I have no proof and Ned has expressed his enthusiasm for and confidence in Neville, I very much feel like Phil is Paulson's guy. It was said that he had a rapport with Paulson. I don't expect Ned to say anything publicly that isn't supportive. Maybe he actually believed Neville was the best candidate and maybe he still believes he's a good coach.
Using Wikipedia, I documented which players signed with the club or had their contracts extended while Ned was in different roles.
When he was promoted to Technical Director, he was specifically credited with scouting specific players. He's also credited with finalizing the deal with Evander in late 2022, after GW was fired but before he was officially GM. The rumor is that the deal was going to fall apart before Ned took over negotiations. I've italicized those players that Ned might have been involved in scouting, recruiting, signing, or extending who are still on the team. I've also indicated when I think it's pretty clear when a player was brought in by a coach because of some past association. I may be wrong about some and may have missed some. I know there is incomplete information but I only tried so hard. There are also situations where the player was technically signed to an extension in one year but it was effectively for the next season. The distinction between preseason and summer transfer window signings isn't always obvious. Also, many of these players were scouted for some time before a decision was made to sign them and an opportunity presented itself. For example, Wilkinson talked about wanting Lucas Melano for some time. I think Porter was big on him too. We had our eyes on Yimmi Chara for a long time too. Considering that, I'm not inclined to credit Ned with 2017 signings at all, and don't think he had much to do with the renewal or financial decisions until 2023.

Gee, that's the entire roster. Realistically though, I'm only crediting him for 2023 and maybe Rodriguez. He wasn't really GM until Evander at the end of 2022. GW, Paulson, Porter, Gio, and Neville all have had input and in many cases more authority in decision-making up to that point.
Which players came and went under Ned's watch should we not have signed or not let go?
And which players who are still on the roster just objectively suck and aren't MLS-level players? As starters or depth? Who doesn't even have any potential? Who has aged out? Who is good but doesn't fit the system? Who doesn't fit Neville's system but fit Gio's? Note: this is all in MLS-level terms.
- Rodriguez was great but is now just good and arguably doesn't fit the system. He's a second striker but we only play with one forward. I don't think the 4-4-2 we tried against Seattle was a good idea. Obviously, it didn't work. Maybe a diamond of Evander, Chara, Ayala, and Paredes. We'd need more defense to cover for Mosquera getting forward and Moreno tucking in. But I digress...
- Evander is good but poorly utilized and inconsistent. He plays to the level of his teammates. He's not a leader. Could he be great? Probably not as a 10. He's got flashes though, so I hope I'm wrong.
- Loría in my eyes isn't MLS level and hit his ceiling. I'll accept arguments that he's a good sub for the money.
- Williamson is good but oft-injured, and inconsistently plays to the level of his teammates.
- Moreno is inconsistent, sometimes played out of position, doesn't fit the system, but has potential. He takes chances, which I respect, but maybe doesn't have the best judgement. Maybe he can learn. I hope so. He tries. He's good. He could be great. He probably shouldn't be the starter all the time.
- Mosquera is a good winger but terrible fullback. Or maybe he's a good wingback but terrible fullback, depending on how you define the roles. Maybe he has potential. I increasingly doubt it. He doesn't seem to have the mentality for it. He's Alvas Powell 2.0. I'd love to be wrong. He tried last match. If he becomes a good fullback he'll be great overall.
- McGraw is good but terrible in the system, especially when Mosquera doesn't track back. He's just too slow and sometimes has poor judgement.
- Eric Miller is good as a sub right fullback and decent as a sub left fullback.
- Fogaça isn't good and has no potential. I'd love to be wrong. I like his workrate but he's not MLS quality and never will be.
- Antony is good, not great, and maybe has potential. His first touch is garbage, he's one-footed, and he doesn't make smart runs. He fast though. I don't think he can succeed on a shitty team like ours because he won't see the ball enough. Ideally, he'd understudy to a great winger and learn from them.
- Mora is surprisingly good. He's opportunistic. He's a leader. He's committed. He puts in effort. I still don't think he's a DP and I'd kind of prefer he was a subto an even better forward but it's hard to argue with success.
- Diego Chara. He's still very good. People who say he's lost a step are confusing his inability to cover everybody else's mistakes, and his own occasional lapses, with having lost it. He's barely lost anything. He'd look better on a team that wasn't absolute ass. It's sad for him.
- Araujo. I think he's good but just too slow for this system. His passing is good and he's good with the ball at his feet. His positioning and judgement seem fine, generally. I'd bet he'd look better on a better team too. I could say the same for some former centerbacks as well.
- Paredes. He's good. He's developed and grown on me. He's pretty consistent and generally puts in effort. He rarely pisses me off. I'd hoped he'd develop into a 6 but that's apparently not to be. I think he's hit his ceiling. He's a great rotator or sub. Not a star.
- Ayala. He's good. Could become great if he can stay healthy and get more development. I'm worried about his injury history. He's a bit small and can get pushed around a bit.
- Mabiala. He's just too old and slow now. Good dude. Maybe his last extension was too long. I think the tactics are especially bad for him but he wasn't good enough last season either. Father Time just caught up faster than we expected.
- Asprilla. Is he good? I don't think he really is. But his moments of sheer genius, his workrate, and his heart make him great. As a sub. Flare counts for a lot. I love it when Asprilla dazzles.
- Kamal Miller. He's good but too slow for the system.
- Muse. No idea man.
- Crepeau. He's great but we sure haven't given him a chance to be great for us yet.
- Pantemis. He's good and could be great.
- Sulte. I've only ever seen him be awful. I wish him the best but have no reason for optimism, especially since Muse came on.
- Zuparic. He's the best player in the league, obviously. He's good. Maybe he was great once. He's not good enough for the system at least. If Neville ever substantively changes tactics I think he could be solid for us again. Seems like his attitude may be a problem though. Who knows what to believe?
- Ikoba. Absolute mystery to me. I assume the worst from context clues. Wish him the best. I think he, Sulte, and all who came before underscore how wretched our academy system is. Who do we blame for that? Does it matter? I think it does. I'd love to develop cheap players we could sell to reinvest in the club.
- Bravo. He's great. He could be brilliant. He makes the occasional mistake but that's the price of greatness. He takes risks. He's a fighter too. Love this dude but he still gets underrated and shit on. We're so much better with him on the team. How often do we have good fullbacks, especially a left back. Him, Moreira, and Villafaña are kind of it, right? Farfan showed promise but bringing Jorge back stunted his prospects with us?
I think we are less than the sum of our parts. I don't think too many of our players are scrubs. We have too much invested in central midfield, centerback, and keeper. Central midfield was complicated by injuries and Chara's insane longevity. Our poor DP signings hurt our ability to move on from them in terms of timing and money. Ivacic was still on the books well into the last transfer window. Mabiala is taking up roster and cap space. Zuparic is questionable. McGraw and Araujo just don't seem to be good fits for the system that Neville is trying to implement. Kamal Miller isn't either but Neville doesn't realize that. I'll suggest that Mosquera not defending hurt the CBs last season too, along with the missing attacking DPs.
I don't know what we can realistically do about our problems near-term. I don't think Nevilleball works even with a right fullback who can defend and faster centerbacks. That would help. But the lack of off-the-ball movement, lack of ball progression through midfield, lack of creative runs, poor passing, low pressure, shitty zonal marking on set piece defending, not closing passing lanes, not stepping to the ball; not making incisive, line-splitting passes; not communicating, poor rotations, not making the final pass or taking shots in the box, passing back all the time, slow build-up, not covering the far post, injuries... It's a lot. Some of these problems predate Neville, so he ought to have accounted for them and adjusted accordingly. The FO has denied lack of talent is a problem. That leaves coaching and attitude or mentality. Attitude and mentality often come back to coaching IMHO.

2024.05.14 08:54 ParagonArmory Brushless AEG Motor
| We’re super excited to share that we’ve just released our Paragon Spec line of custom brushless motors. This project has been in the works for the last year and it’s finally here. We obsessed over every detail of this motor to build the best performing AEG motor on the market. Starting with a new ESC, this ESC features the fastest startup time (3ms) of any brushless motor currently available. Almost 3 times faster than the next leading brand. We redesigned the motor tower sleeve to be slightly larger at 9.65mm. This is to provide better fitment between the motor and gearbox giving you optimal motor alignment and more consistent shimming. O type armature and CNC steel heat treated pinion gear were also selected for its concentricity with the option to install a pinion of your choosing. This pinion gear is extremely durable and meshes well with a wide variety of gearsets. 33K adjustable RPM has a wide use case and can be paired with high speed to high torque gearsets. 4 EZO bearings are installed throughout this motor. 2 in the tower and 2 in the case. These bearings can withstand tons of abuse while providing silky smooth operation. We opted for an overall premium build quality with no expenses spared. Custom CNC casing with cooling vanes for the cherry on top. This is the secret to HPA level performance from an AEG. I hope you guys are as excited about this as I am! submitted by ParagonArmory to airsoft [link] [comments] |
2024.05.14 08:52 AncientPC Thoughts and tips after climbing to 10k in 2 weeks.
Yes, I had a lot of time. I originally played this game when it launched during the pandemic and stopped at 1k trophies, and picked it up again ~3 years later. I want to share my thoughts about the last ~15 days while it's still fresh and answer any questions people might have.
I have a 43% win rate in 3600 BR games, and 300+ games with each of the following heroes: Angel, Bastion, Blizzard, Blot, Cyclops, Ghost, Levi, Lynx, Ramsay, Raven, Sparkle, Vi. I have the most fun with Angel, Raven, Ramsay, and Lynx.
I've unlocked every hero except Alice, paid for Blizzard and Vi. I have a full pg set and two skins waiting for when she arrives.
Trophy Tiers
Broadly speaking, the percentage of poor players decreases as you gain higher trophies. Being completely honest, I saw a bunch of mistakes made by enemies, teammates, and myself at 9k trophies. At 10k+ trophies, most of the mistakes I see are my own.
Low Tier: <3k
I have a second account on an old phone at this tier that I use to play under powered / rarely used heroes in casual games. It's mostly bots and occasional humans with rudimentary gameplay.
Mid Tier: 3-7k
People are still misplaying all the time, but in general are improving and trying to coordinate as a team. Pickup teams are pretty easy to create and people are generally pretty friendly. Honestly, I probably had the most
fun at this tier since I enjoy playing the game casually with a variety of heroes and different team compositions (vs trying to win all the time).
There's still plenty of bots in offpeak hours.
High Tier: >7k
This is the first tier where it starts to get competitive. Relatedly, this is also the first tier I started seeing bad manners and griefing.
Early on when I was around 2k, I teamed up with some high trophy players and played in 10k games. That's when I learned first hand
how much faster and aggressive the game was. On certain maps (Bank, Village, Hotel), fights will often initiate after picking up ~2 items.
As for bad manners, I'm used to it from playing plenty of other online games but enjoyed the fact that Bullet Echo largely doesn't have it. However at 7k+, now you get a lot of people bm'ing when they kill you, if two people fight over an item, etc. It most commonly manifests as sprays/stickers, but also a lot of head shaking and the occasional teamkill grenade for taking "their" item.
Pickup teams are a lot more mercenary. People join up, and if the team loses 1-2 most will leave; there's little to no chat banter anymore. If someone misplays a few times, they often get kicked from the team, the team is disbanded, and/or they get defriended. This, uhh, has totally
never happened to me.
10k
The "end game." Heroes' power typically ranges 1650 - 2200 (Ultimate level 70 to Divine). There's relatively few bots during peak times.
The games are fast and brutal, and any small mistake is quickly exploited. My winrate has dropped significantly even when playing my better characters, but I'm learning. Pre-10k, I'd typically open 3x battle and skull chests under 30 minutes. Now, opening battle and skull chests has become significantly harder.
Bravery Road
I don't have any experience with this tier since I lack Divine heroes. Others have shared that it's mostly full of bots.
Heroes
Tier List
This is based on 9k+ trophy BR in the hands of a good player:
- S: Vi, Lynx, Mirage
- A: Blizzard, Ramsay, Raven, Dragoon, Angel, Freddie, Arnie
- B: Firefly, Shenji, Ghost, Alice, Leviathan, Hurricane, Satoshi, Sparkle, Tess, Levi
- C: Blot, Bertha, Doc, Cyclops, Slayer
- D: Bastion, Stalker, Smog
Bastion
Bastion is great for bot farming and low / mid tier gameplay, but is easily outplayed in 7k+ games. I had a bunch of Bastion friends that I invited to 7k+ games and they've always left after a few games due to being outplayed.
Outplaying Bastion is usually done through kiting or baiting and flanking with teammates since their range is too short and movement speed is too slow. Bastion (and Blot to an extent) is outclassed by more mobile shield heroes: Angel, Hurricane, Satoshi.
Leviathan gets a special call out since his turret is great for zoning and has extended spray that can be abused to hit behind walls.
Grenade Users (Firefly/Shenji/Sparkles/Freddie)
Pre-10k, most of these are terrible nade spammers hoping to get an easy kill. I've seen so many Firefly users use more nades than bullets in a round, adding little value chucking nades into thin air. Shenji users, please use your nades to zone the enemies and less about trying to kill them. Also stop burning the grass because you can, especially when you're up against snipers.
Vi
My win rate with Vi is significantly higher than the rest of the field, which shows how broken she is. Even in 9k+ games, the winning team usually has at least one Vi. I think she needs to be nerfed, and she's my most played and highest leveled character (Stellar).
I also have some bad experiences after teaming up with a bunch of Vi-only tryhards (about 6-8 different teammates for 5+ games each). They're generally incredibly aggressive and good at racking up a high kill count, but often lack map awareness or team dynamics (besides spamming, "Let's go!").
Tips
League
Climb as fast as you can, as high as you can since you get more loot per chest depending on your league level, and streaking gets harder the higher you climb in trophies. Bot farming (read below) is the easiest way to streak games and hit the next league level.
I think there is an argument to be made about staying in purple 1. I found it significantly easier to win most of the contracts at purple 1, but I was grouped with all the other grinders once I hit purple 2. This may or may not be a red herring.
Spending Money
Contracts
- 7 day contract hacks (and assuming you have enough time to grind) is the most effective use of money.
- Consistently winning the 21 hr contract for 300 jokers is paramount.
- 3 hr contract (particularly in off hours) can be pretty easy to win for 20 jokers.
- Read the contracts carefully. Often you can use a hero to progress against 2 or more contracts simultaneously.
- Bot farming and SvS is usually the easiest way to quickly get contract points.
- Ghost in KOTH is a great way to grind "The Collector" contract.
Star Pass
- I don't mind spending $15 to get the new hero via the base pass, but I don't think the premium pass is worth it.
- I didn't get tiers 2 and 3 for Vi but still got her to Stellar with a lot of grinding via contract hacks and jokers.
Technology
It's $10/mo. You get a random hero motivated and 8 drone plugins (2 of each color) per week, and 10 tech tokens/day. 70 tech tokens/week is enough to get drone blueprints, 2xpersonal gears boxes, some squad gear, 500 nuts, and 5 costume tokens. Also your name is highlighted in gold.
I think it's great for the first month or two for the personal gear and drone parts, but not sure if it's worth keeping afterwards.
Bots
Recognizing bots means you can adapt your strategy when playing with and against them.
Identification
Pre-game
- in the same bot syndicates: CCCP, Botsavethequeen, Botdamnit, 486DX, etc
- are listed after human players
- don't have drones
- never play as the newer characters: Blizzard, Vi, Shenji, Ramsay, Lynx, Tess
You start recognizing the bot names after a few hundred games.
In game
- immediately opens chests
- goes in a straight line while swinging their flashlight, humans tend to run with their flashlight facing forward except when checking corners
- doesn't use any abilities
Farming (BR, SvS, sabo, koth)
Bot farming is a great way to hit the streak for a league jump or grind for festival tokens.
I find sabo, SvS, and sometimes arcade in offpeak hours (or other region's servers) the easiest modes for bot farming.
Generally bots will collect a few items and start roaming looking for enemies. If a firefight ensues, the bots will start swarming towards noise like zombies.
The best characters to farm bots are those that can do a lot of damage without taking any themselves. Since bots will run in a straight line towards you, assault rifles and snipers excel at bot farming.
Recommended heroes: Bastion, Satoshi, Blot, Hurricane, Levi, Firefly, Blizzard, Cyclops Not recommended: Ghost/Stalker (bots are not affected by cloak), Slayer (fire rate is too slow), SMG users (can't reload fast enough when swarmed)
As teammates
It sucks to get bots as teammates, but if you understand their behavior you can take advantage of it to try and win the round.
- don't get sucked into unnecessary fights, let them die and don't bother reviving
- use them as dumb scouts to flank the enemy
- treat the round as a training exercise on how to win one-vs-many fights. It'll happen more and more often as you climb trophies
Drones
- medpro is great for tanks, assault rifles, and attacking SMGs (Angel, Alice, Freddie, Ghost)
- zenith is great for snipers, Raven/Ghost, 10k+ games
- guard is useless except for the occasional ability to zone enemies
Zenith gets increasingly valuable in 7k+ games as you never have time to revive and/or enemies will camp dead bodies. Zenith's ability to revive through walls can also be exploited.
In game tactics
This is already a long post, so I'll brain dump common improvements / mistakes that I come across. Feel free to ask questions in the comments.
- Don't be greedy and go after risky upgrades. More often than not you're going to get sucked into an early fight. Even if you win that one, you'll quickly get swarmed by bots and/or other teams. It's not worth losing a round because you might get a purple upgrade.
- Don't be greedy for early ammo and upgrades. In 7k+ games, fights can/will happen by the time you've picked up 1-2 items. Taking multiple ammo means losing an effective teammate that can shoot a weapon. If you're a low ammo user (e.g. Vi, Slayer, Bastion), opt for a 2x or 3x ammo pack and leave the 4x ammo pack for high ammo users (e.g. SMGs, assault rifles). Leave and ping optimal upgrades for teammates. This means reserving scopes for snipers, armor for machine gunners, extended magazine for SMG/shotgunners, explosive ammo for DPS.
- Shotgun users should heal at spawn and save the armor pickup for others.
- Generally stick together as a team.
- Don't follow suiciders (bots/humans) and get sucked into unnecessary fights, preferring to fight 2v3v3v3. Yes this conflicts with the above bullet point.
- Learn the map. This means knowing where are the spawns, purple chests, hot zones, and choke points. This means you can anticipate where you'll need to slow down and prepare for a fight (e.g. early game near purple chests). In low/mid tiers, human teammates often run straight for a neighboring spawn while completely ignoring the safe purple chest right behind them because they run straight ahead in the direction they were facing when spawned. I find it easiest to familiarize myself with maps by using heroes with high vision like snipers (particularly Lynx) and Raven.
- Develop map awareness. You can tell who is left based on the gun sounds and the weapon in kill notifications. Generally avoid fights with many teams remaining, and go after the last two teams as they're fighting. If machine gunners are remaining, try to find open spaces. If snipers are remaining, try to initiate fights near corners and obstacles. In low/mid tiers, human teammates will often emulate bots and run straight towards the fight with a complete lack of map awareness.
- Good Shenji users use grenades to zone enemies rather than outright damage. Bad Shenji users kill their teammates / prevent them from being useful. If you're playing with a Shenji teammate, expect that they're going to nade everything and act accordingly.
- Tess users should try to use the lightning ball judiciously against enemy shields or to zone, and not disable their teammates' shields and abilities.
- Cyclops/Raven users should not spam their skill early game, and used selectively late game. It gives away your position and in high tier games only invites unwanted attention. Learn to use scan offensively and defensively when appropriate. At higher trophies, it can be used as a feint for an invasion or to lure enemies into a trap.
- SMG users should use stimpacks offensively rather than only to heal.
- There is a time to initiate and time to fall back. In early/mid tiers, people need to learn to retreat more often (and communicate it to their teammates). I wish I had more actionable advice, but I can tell when a fight was initiated well or poorly. Don't attack that unsuspecting enemy just because you can, but attack if it's the right time to do so.
tldr
I thoroughly enjoyed playing Bullet Echo, bots and all.

2024.05.14 08:41 EatYaFood Current state of Questie
Hey fellow WoW enthusiasts!
With the upcoming Cataclysm release, we wanted to take a moment to address the current state of Questie. As many of you already noticed, Questie is not in the best shape right now. Quests show before they are available, NPCs have the wrong locations, objective locations are missing and some quests are not showing up at all.
Questie has to come with an internal database, because most of the quest data isn't available from the game. We draw that data from a lot of sources, like publicly available databases, old addons, and so forth. Cataclysm continues a trend of this becoming less and less accurate with each expansion. So despite earlier expansions already requiring massive amounts of manual corrections, and with new game mechanics and a wipe of the old world data thrown in, Cataclysm is probably the worst one yet in this regard.
So to be unequivocally clear: Questie will occasionally be wrong in the first few weeks and months.
When it is we want to encourage all of you to join our Questie-Discord and report any bugs or quest issues you encounter (there is a #cata-bug-reports channel).
If you know your way around GitHub you can report issues there as well, and if you feel up for a PR find some basic instructions about how to correct Questie data on our GitHub-Wiki. If you have any questions find us on Discord or in the GitHub issues.
Thank you for your continued support, and happy questing!

2024.05.14 08:34 milimji Blue Moon... Reawakened?
Good evening nerds, after perusing last week’s thread about synergies with Jace Reawakened, I wanted to try to start a more in-depth discussion of the archetype that I think might best leverage his abilities: Blue Moon. While the most obvious place for Jace is slotting into the Mystmin-style Dimir Lurrus control shell (and that’s probably just stronger overall regardless of synergy), I think there are some clear benefits to going in another direction, namely: 3MV sorcery-speed value spells to leverage the plot ability, more situational spells to leverage the loot ability, and snap/bolt to leverage the ult.
Before we get too far in, I should note that I don’t have a meaningful match history to show off here. Results have been mediocre as I’ve tweaked toward this current iteration, and I haven’t tested exhaustively enough to thoroughly map out all the matchups. With that being said, it’s a fairly fun deck to play, and I think it might have enough general quality to be somewhat competitive with a refined list and play. With the disclaimer out of the way, let’s get into the deck:
Jace + plot targets:
- 2-3x [[Jace Reawakened]] - this is the real development in tech for this deck, and it synergizes very well with the rest of the cards that you already want to be playing
- 2-3x [[Blood Moon]] - The namesake of the deck. Fairly strong against domain, which seems decently represented in the meta. Plotting this on turn 4 is pretty late to fully cripple your opponent, but restricting them to one spell per turn is still useful when holding up interaction.
- 3-4x [[Fae of Wishes]] - Obviously a spicy inclusion, but it’s just such a juicy plot target it’s hard to pass up. Also a good blocker in a pinch, and it turns on Flame of Anor. More discussion on wishboard options to follow.
- 2-3x [[Fable of the Mirror-Breaker]] - Fable is everything you want in a generic plot target: great value for cost, not reliant on instant speed (unlike Archmage’s Charm), excellent with snapcaster, treasures can occasionally let you Blood Moon on otherwise sketchy lands
- 2-4x [[Flame of Anor]] - similar to Fable, this hits the spot as a plot target: plays well at instant speed but isn’t reliant on it, gives you great value to recover from a slow start, and synergizes with both of your creatures
Interaction:
- 4x [[Lightning Bolt]] - Generically great removal, and can occasionally close out the game with a Jace ult. Would prefer to run more if possible
- 4x [[Mana Drain]] - No question, best counter in the format. Your plot targets (and Lorien) tend to make great mana sinks for this as well.
- 2-4x [[Spell Pierce]] - Obviously seeing quite a bit of play in such a fast format. Your favorite card against SnT, Natural Order, Minsc, and the like.
- 2-3x [[Stifle]] - Another spicy inclusion. This spell probably isn’t good enough for the format in general, however it does play uniquely well with Blood Moon. First of all, it supports attacking your opponent’s mana base, and stone-raining an early fetch can make an otherwise middling Blood Moon excellent. Once Blood Moon is on the battlefield, Stifle helps defend it against outs like Boseiju, Otawara, or Leyline Binding.
- 1-2 [[Stern Scolding]] - Bowmasters bad, ergo scolding good. Also incidentally hits many non-bowmasters.
Other:
- 2-4x [[Snapcaster Mage]] - Fairly slow card for such a fast format, but that is somewhat mitigated by biasing toward 1MV interaction. Works great with Fable and Flame of Anor.
- 3-4x [[Brainstorm]] - On the upside, find what you need when you need it. On the downside… bowmasters. Probably worthwhile, but I could see trimming here depending on the meta.
- 2-3x [[Lorien Revealed]] - Like a tapped fetch, but more resilient to Blood Moon and synergizes well with snap and mana drain
- ~20 lands - Fairly standard mix of fetches & island duals, heavy on islands to support the Blood Moon. Probably worth running an [[Otawara]] and a [[Mystic Sanctuary]], possibly worth mixing in an additional sanctuary and/or [[Hall of the Storm Giants]] depending on how much you want to tempt fate.
Sideboard:
- Tier 1 wish targets - [[Roiling Vortex]], [[Pithing Needle]], [[Surgical Extraction]], [[Unlicensed Hearse]] - nothing too surprising here
- Tier 2 wish targets - [[Test of Talents]], [[Gaea’s Blessing]], [[Tormod’s Crypt]], [[Brotherhood’s End]], additional Blood Moon - additional support for common scenarios, or options for rarer scenarios. Note that you can put Blessing into your deck with Brainstorm when needed
- Generic advantage cards - this is where the wishboard has felt fairly disappointing to be honest. You really want something disgusting like a Valki to close things out, but I’m just not seeing it. I think [[Narset, Parter of Veils]] may be the best option to push a game from even to ahead, but it’s a bit situational and lackluster. [[Search for Azcanta]] is another cheap option, but very slow. [[Chandra, Torch of Defiance]] is a classic for this slot, but it seems to play poorly with the blue pips and instant speeds among the rest of the deck. It could also be that an additional fable is the best option.
- Normal sideboard cards - [[Molten Impact]] and [[Aether Gust]] as general interaction, probably some additional copies of wish targets for depending on the metagame
Other cards under consideration:
- Other generic control spells - Archmage’s Charm is fairly bad while plotted and very risky with Blood Moon. Counterspell might be good enough as hard counter #5. Expressive Iteration is great value, but I’m not sure it outcompetes the other value cards already included. Dig Through Time might be worthwhile as a 1-of.
- Delirium package - most blue moon decks I’ve seen have been running this, but I feel like it may just take up too much room for what you get. You don’t get the most out of DRC like a more graveyard-focused or aggressive deck would, bauble is a no-go with vortex (and you don’t have a Lurrus to recur it), and heat can largely be replaced by flame of anor.
- [[Tishana’s Tidebinder]] - This is probably the best fit that I don’t already have locked for the main deck. It’s a wizard, it supports the stifle/moon plan, and it’s great with a fable that sticks. The biggest downside is that it’s expensive, and it doesn’t interact particularly well with Jace, but it might be good enough regardless.
- [[Vendilion Clique]] - Another flash threat option similar to Tidebinder. V clique is also a wizard, it plots better than tidebinder does, and it’s fantastic with Narset if you can get there, but on the downside it doesn’t work with fable.
- [[Fury]] - coming soon, this seems like it will slot in very nicely. Helps keep the board free of bowmasters, and it works rather nicely with fable, either early game as pitch fodder or late game with reflection.
- [[Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer]] - a classic rage inducer when paired with a turn 2 Blood Moon, but honestly doesn’t seem to have a great place in the meta. Decent against SnT, but it seems like every other meta deck has T1 removal, blockers, or both. You also don’t really have enough other must-remove threats to make it backbreaking in the lategame, nor play few enough creatures to expect zero removal in post-sideboard games.
- 3rd color splash - Jund can get away with it with Jegantha, both as limitation on pip requirements and as a safety valve when color screwed. Jund this ain’t, with several 2x blue pip spells and only fable treasures to bail you out. With that being said, there are some interesting options if you’re feeling bold.
- In Temur, you have great midrange cards like Jarsyl (incidentally a wizard) and Oko (wishable). You also have Veil as interaction, and several options to shore up your enchantment removal. Going more exotic, reclamation exists, and [[bramble familiar]] gets a steep discount with Jace.
- Jeskai also has some potential. [[Deputy of Detention]] and [[Reflector Mage]] are both wizards as well as excellent reflection targets. T3f is a solid wish option, and you have veto/swords/fragment if you want additional interaction options.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk. I’d love to hear about any experiences y’all have had with blue moon in the current timeless meta, as well as any suggestions for adjustments to the deck.

2024.05.14 08:33 Valyntine_ Which commander is most like "Heart of the cards?"
I feel a lot of them are probably Izzet, not necessarily spell slinger stuff but cards like [[Melek, Izzet Paragon]] who lets you constantly top deck and cast from top deck to kind of "randomly" play a card/spell you didn't know, and [[Neera, Wild Mage]] who lets you play the first random spell after casting a spell.
There's also the cascade mechanic as a whole which definitely plays into the whole "Just play a random thing", but I'm not sure what most fits the vibe of or what does best the gimmick of "I am going to play a thing without paying for it and I do not know what that thing is (I know if you're in blue you can technically set it up so you *do* know what it is but that's antithetical to what I am looking for))
There's also [[Arjun, the Shifting Flame]] who doesn't let you cast shit for free but every time you play something you just wheel for an entirely new hand which also kind of fits into the heart of the cards/top deck theme.
I'm not also not sure if this really falls into chaos either as I don't necessarily want to or have to fuck with other people's shit; I mostly just want to play shit for free at random / cast stuff without knowing what it'll be / lean heavily into the top deck / heart of the cards theming.
Sorry if I'm rambling too much, the TLDR is my ADHD brain wants a deck that lets me do a lot of shit for free/cheap without knowing what it is or wants access to the ability to cycle through large quantities of cards to simulate the former

2024.05.14 08:32 sharpeguy I cleared the underworld w 32 Fear, here's how
Preamble
This is going to be a bit of a lengthy post so bear with me. I am going to get into boons, arcana cards, vows, and weapon/equipment choice in this post and how I eventually was able to clear the underworld at 32 fear. All of this is in context of the build I am going for and the weapon I am using. Different vows, cards, etc. may be better for different weapons and playstyles. This is not a definitive guide and I have only beaten it once so far and by sticking to one weapon during my attempts. I enjoy writing about stuff like this and hope that this can possibly help y'all.
I finished the surface on my 23rd run and then the underworld on the next for reference. I just now cleared the underworld at 32 fear on my 143rd run. Of those between were me completing testaments, trying out weapons/aspects, and chaos trials. I attempted 32 fear a total of 36 times before I finally got it. Total in game time according to steam is 74 hours lol (I had a four day weekend and my gf is out of town so this is pretty much all I did).
Proof of run Weapon/Aspect: Momus Staff
Firstly you want to get enough resources to unlock and fully upgrade the aspect, I think 10 total nightmare? Giving your special +30 power. I wouldn't bother 32 fear until you can get it all the way up.
For a few runs while I was using the skull with Melinoe/Persephone aspect, as I was trying to complete the 20 fear testament simultaneously. Stopped since I decided I wasn't really comfortable with the skull and switched to Melinoe's staff. Did that for a while and then saw
this video and decided to give the Momus staff a shot, where i then won in 7 runs after switching. It also probably helped that I changed around some vows around this time, more on that later.
Watch the video for a breakdown but essentially you want Poseidon special + legendary boon, and ideally the double moonshot hammer that gives your special 2 more projectiles that seek. He switches his binds for left and right click but I did not, up to you.
Took a minute to get used to but essentially I just spammed speciall the entire time in fights, kiting enemies when necessary. I used my cast defensively to root enemies and create space mostly until I got a 3 specific boons, more later. Did not really use omegas at all, as I turned off the magick regen card and turned on the vow that removes your magick at the start of each encounter. If I did gain some magick, I would only use it for the omega special to regain some health when it was safe in fights (5 healing if you are near it when it explodes).
Arcana Cards
This is what I used but some may find other ones more to their liking. I will explain my choices below. Be sure to upgrade these to their max potential. The descriptions that I give are referencing their maxed out bonus. I almost exclusively used my charon cards (obol points) to order 8 moon dust in the camp to upgrade faster. Also having 30 grasp is required so be sure to get that maxed out too. Just playing the game should get you there. Gathering bones and completing minor prophecies are helpful in getting more moondust and nightmare faster to upgrade your cards and aspects. I have starred the one's that I think are almost absolutely necessary.
Arcana card choices I. The Sorceress: Not using omega moves with this build for the most part, mainly chosen to just fill out the top row to awaken the divinity card.
II. The Wayward Son: +2 health (with 50% healing reduction from a vow) is definitely helpful, some much needed passive healing.
* III. The Huntress: +50% attack and special damage when you have less than 100 magick is probably a must have. Especially in my vows set up where I pretty much never have any magick.
IV. Death: Also to just fill out the row for divinity, not really using omega moves.
* V. The Messenger: +10% dodge chance is a lifesaver.
VII. The Titan: More health (and magick) is helpful for the early game before you get any centaur hearts.
* X. The Lovers: 0 damage from bosses for 3 hits is absolutely nuts, this was a whole keepsake in the last game. Attacks that miss you from dodge or daze from Apollo don't count towards a hit as well.
XI. The Swift Runner: Just generally helpful for kiting and running around, especially with increased enemy movement from a vow.
* XII. Eternity: 3 death defiances are absolutely essential probably in any playthrough unless you are a god at not getting hit ever.
* XVIII. Origination: Enemies with 2 curses take +50% damage is fantastic and helps to absolutely shred through them
* XXII. The Champions: 3 chances to reroll boon choices among other things is pretty much a must for run consistency. I would mainly use it on my first Poseidon boon to get the special. Would also use again to try and get slip or blast damage one or legendary from him, also on Hestia to get her cast or the one that allows you to aim the cast (both possible prerequisites for their duo boon, more later).
XXIII. The Artificer: I slept on this one big time at first until I saw someone using it in a 32 heat run on youtube. Change a minor reward into a major one 3 times is fantastic and really helps in the early game. I would use all 3 in the first region for a chance to get a pom, heart, gold, boon, or hammer. I would almost put this one as a must but you do you.
XXIV. Divinity: 20% extra chance to get an epic boon. Activated by the full top row, its just nice to have to possibly get some more benefits out of boons.
Alternatives: Like I mentioned before I only activate I and IV mainly to activate divinity. You could lose them and go for IX Night (automatic charging for your hex) or XVI The Fates (+3 rolls to change location rewards). I feel like hexes are not all that impactiful personally (except for a couple). Also changing location rewards is a toss up, meh. You could also lose XI extra sprint speed to to open up 5 grasp and go for XV Stength (take and deal more damage at low hp), XVII The Boatman (get more gold at the start of the run), or XIX Excellence (higher % for rare boons offered), which all have valid arguments. In hindsight I think giving up those 3 for Stregnth or Excellence might be worth it, might try in future runs.
Oath of the Unseen Vows
Throughout my runs I experimented a lot with the various choices and found that the ones I chose are best for how I play. It is really up to you, this is just how I did it. I mostly messed around with damage taken, enemy spawns, and health, the rest pretty much stayed constant. I originally was using the 9 minute time limit per region for a majority of my runs until I switched aspects (and the 7 minute several times). I eventually decided that I was playing too aggresively to beat the clock and would lose most of, if not all my death defiances by Tartarus/Chronos, or earlier. I did still have decent amount of time to beat Chronos if I got there with the time limit, just the health and death defiance loss was too much. Here is what I went with and explanations for each, I starred the ones I think should be kept on and are relatively easy to deal with.
Vows Used Vow of Blood (+3): Just don't get hit duh. No but seriously +60% damage to you hurts, a lot. I really wish I did not have to use this, but the alternatives I think are worse. As you play more you'll get better and learn attack patterns and how to kite effectively.
Vow of Dominance (+3): Enemies now have +30% health which is rough, but with no time limit, just take your time in killing enemies off safely.
Vow of Rebuke (+2): Enemies have 2 barriers before they can take damage, not too bad. Makes clearing enemies a bit harder, but with the poseidon boon, you apply two instances of damage with each hit. So only one special shot with the boon will clear the barrier, also the wave the shoots out of them helps to clear barriers of the other enemies.
Vow of Fury (+3): Enemies are 20% faster (and their projectiles too?! I'm pretty sure this is the case, I haven't played without it in a while so I'm not exactly sure). This one took some getting used to, not much I can say except just keep trying. Another +3 makes them 40% faster which I do not recommend. The screaming shades, wolves and their heads, thorny spinny guys in Oceanus, rats, and Chronos are all insane with 40% extra speed.
Vow of Suffering (+2): +100% for the first hit you take in each encounter. Same as Vow of Blood, its rough, wish I could go without it as well.
Vow of Commotion (+3): 60% more foes in encounters (does not affect the boss summons). Had this one a tier or two lower, or not at all, when I was experimenting with the time limit. The AOE from Poseidon definely helps here, just take your time to clear out enemies. It can get pretty bad in tartarus with the bags and skulls everywhere though so just be careful.
Vow of Haunting (+2): Enemies have 50% of spawning a revenant when killed which if left alone long enough will respawn them. These are annoying as hell but not terrible once you get used to it. On death a flaming green skull thing launches out of them and travels a bit of a distance, just run ovecollect them and they are negated, don't need to damage or whatever. Can sometimes be hard to spot if behind a wall or obstacle. Overall not that bad, its not the end of the world if you let them respawn. Definitely though go for the ones that would respawn an enemy that are hard/annoying to deal with ASAP e.g. rat spawning satyrs, wolves, any projectile shooting enemy. Sometimes I feel like rats almost always spawn a revenant which is annoying. I honestly think they should also rework this so that if an enemy respawns it can't have another revenant spawn.
* Vow of Wandering (+3): 25% chance for enemies to be from the next region. Really not that bad at all, just have to deal with some more annoying enemies with larger health pools.
Vow of Scars (+2): Healing is only 50% effective is not that bad. You only get +2 healing passively from the card now and a lot less from fountains and such, goes hand in hand with blood and suffering, you'll get better at not getting hit.
* Vow of Destitution (+2): Charon's shop (and wells) are 80% more expensive. You'll miss out some boons, healing, poms, hearts, etc. but its not awful, you will still gain a good amount of gold to usually buy a boon or something at the end of each region except Oceanus I found. Also with Poseidon in your god pool, he has some boons that can help with getting more gold like minor find doubling up, increased value of minor finds, and sunken treasure.
* Vow of Panic (+1): No more magick at the start of each encounter. In this build you don't really need it anyways so this is a freebie point of fear pretty much. Also if you decide to have the card that regens magick on it pretty much negates it after a little while.
** Vow of Forsaking (+2): This one might actually be beneficial. The two boon options you don't pick will not longer show up in your run. This is why I have the boon rerolls on, so I can guarantee to get Poseidon special on my first boon. Otherwise this helps to increase your chances of getting legendary or duo boons (if you have the prerequisites) since the boon choice pool is lowered after each pick. It is unfortunate though if both prereqs for poseidons legendary are in the given choices and you are out of rolls though.
* Vow of Arrogance (+4): Prime 10 magick for each level of rarity above common that you pick. Again, not using magick hardly in this build so doesn't really matter. Also in lower fear runs I have used this, it does not really matter all that much even when you are using omega moves.
Unused: - Vow of Bitterness: Replace the first boon reward of each region with an onion (does not affect shop boons or trial of the gods rooms if they are the first ones you encounter). I tried this many times but it really just worsened run consistency. Also w a keepsake equipped after Erebus to guarantee a certain god's boon, that would become an onion if it was the first one I found, and then would not encounter that god again in that region.
- Vow of Desperation: Time limits for regions: 9, 7, then 5 minutes with increased fear for each increase in tier. Like I said, I stopped playing with this so I could play more carefully.
- Vow of Abandon: Negate all your arcana cards. Insane. Tried it once, it is just too much, the arcana cards are absolutely necessary I feel to clear 32 fear.
Boons/Hammers/Keepsakes/Familiar
Poseidon: Equip his keepsake at start, reroll for wave flourish (special) if needed and rarify. Afterwards look for slippery slope then crashing wave ideally. This primes you to get his legendary which gives +150% damage from splash effects to bosses. Other great ones are double up which is nuts that it can possibly double your hearts, gold, and poms you pick up. Ocean's bounty is nice to increase gold. Water fitness is pretty good if you can get 4 water elements to give you +100 health. Flood control is also nice for damage reduction.
Hestia: Equip her keepsake after Erebus if you did not already get her in your god pool (you get up to 4 gods like in Hades I). Ideally you want her both cast and glowing coal, which lets you aim your cast. Either of which in combination with slippery slope gets you access to Poseidon/Hestia duo boon scalding vapor whcih does insane damage over time. I'm not sure if you should prioritize glowing coal over her cast honestly, both have their upsides alone, but you do want both hopefully. With glowing coal so you can aim your cast since you will be fighting from a distance mostly (not always but in how I played this build I did for the most part), which can activate the steam cloud on foes with slip. Hestia cast is less safe and you need to be closer to enemies to get the steam cloud to activate, but it does more damage, continously applying steam on the enemy. Other boons like soot sprint are nice, almost like Athena's dash in the first game. Slow cooker infusion is alright but you may not get many fire elements to increase your base damage power. Flammable coating is great and helps to melt through armored enemies. Burnt offering is pretty nice to increase you health (and magick) pool if you happen to get offered to sacrifice a useless boon.
Other helpful god boons: Pretty much anything that can help apply another curse to enemies. Demeter and Aphrodite are probably the best since theirs are easy to apply without much effort like frigid sprint, gale force, glamour gain, and passion dash. The other gods require secondary boons to get a curse or your attack/special needs to give the curse, you won't really ever be using your attack and your special is reserved for Poseidon.
Hammers: Correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel like I remember in Hades I if you chose a specific hammer you would be locked out of other hammer choices that affect the benefitting move. If the same applies to this game avoid picking a hammer that affects your special for your first hammer if it is not double moonshot, and hope for it on your second hammer. The DPS from Momus staff is still great with spamming special without it (I won my run without it). You could also go ahead and pick up rapid moonfire or shimmering moonshot on your first one because they are pretty powerful too, and I also may be wrong about the hammer exclusion thing.
Keepsakes: So of course Poseidon first, always. Hestia second if you don't get her in your god pool Erebus. Up to you and what you like for Oceanus, maybe choose Demeter or Aphrodite. If I got Hestia I would generally use any one of the following:
- Engraved pin
- Gold Purse
- White Antler
- Crystal Figurine
- Silken Sash
- Aromatic Phial (be sure to pick it up before using the fountain)
- Experimental Hammer
- Transcendent Embryo
Once in the mourning fields I would typically go with the Lion Fang, or possibly one of the above maybe. Lastly in Tartarus I would either use Knuckle Bones (if I felt comfortable with my health and death defiances), Luckier Tooth, or Evil Eye (if Chronos killed me last).
Sidenote: Is Echo bugged? Or is my game just messed up? I was never given the chance to give her a gift so I've never gotten her keepsake :(
Familiar Toula: Sorry Frinos, but Toula is just superior. She gives you an extra death defiance which when upgraded fully gives you 40 health on death. Also upgrading her attack lets her attack more times before she takes a little catnap (cute). She does 99 damage with each strike which is not insignificant. You don't need to go out of your way to sprint over her whenever she is resting to activate her, if she happens to be where you are running it is just some nice extra little bit of DPS. She has actually killed a few bosses for me in my runs lol.
The Winning Run
So all of this information is from finally beating 32 fear. I followed this strategy in my head for the most part. I ended up not getting double moonshot, but did get rapid moonfire. Poseidon offered me both prereqs for his legendary in the same choice without any rerolls left unfortunately, chose slip of course. I did get the duo boon and both of Hestia's cast boons which was nuts. Also I got rare crop right after I got Poseidon's special so it became heroic by the end. I also got offered to sacrifice rare crop after it became heroic by hestia to get more health, and I was then offered it again at epic rarity which increased 3 other of my boons which happened to hit Hestia's cast boons. I did not get any other way to apply another curse other than slip unfortunately as well. Started Tartarus with 2 or 3 death defiances + luckier tooth and beat Chronos on my last life. Overall though, not a perfect run but it still worked. Would have been even more nuts if I got the right hammer, legendary, and another curse effect
TL;DR
Momus Staff good. More special projectiles hammer + Poseidon special + legendary + Poseidon/Hestia duo = nuts DPS. Arcana cards important, vows are tough.

2024.05.14 08:27 pabbyninja Finished Endwalker, a quick story, no spoilers.
I started playing this game a decade or so ago, with my cousin John. He was the greatest gaming companion I could have ever hoped for. Maxed all classes quickly and would take me along with him. I get overwhelmed pretty quickly by games, anxiety keeps me from playing sometimes. A lack of wanting to fail or cause grief. But he? He could tank, heal and dps with the best.
He had a lot of health issues and towards the end headaches that would keep him in bed for days. But when he would log on, he would let me know, and I would join him. We had our own discord that we would chat in, and just roam around and play.
When he passed away in 2017, I was 2 months from being a first time dad at 36. Up until the end he was so excited for me, and to meet my son.
After his passing, I didn’t play for a few years, coming back in 2019 to play for a while, and putting it down again for a few more years.
I got back on recently and buckled down. Paying more attention to mechanics, trying to push away the nervousness I feel doing anything group wise.
Tonight I finished Endwalker and I felt my cousin and friend with me. I watched the credits and felt a true sense of closure that I needed, we needed. My grandmother played FFIII when I was a kid, my cousin started at VI, and I sort of tagged along throughout.
I miss them both daily, but tonight I feel like my family was a little closer and it was a good feeling.
I miss you Lain Evermore, a true Scion.

2024.05.14 08:25 Ednesh SF Druid - HotW Spec vs. Omen of Clarity / Boomy
Hello all,
I am looking for some recommendations, I have leveled both a full feral (leader of the pack > Omen of Clarity) and full balance (Moonkin form > Reflection) druid, and I am in the process of leveling a third SF druid. I wanted to level as a healer, but given how dead HC feels right now, I want to live the Druid dream as a versatile class to fill Healing and DPS roles.
Right now I am theorizing two different builds and I am not sure which is better overall.
First is the Omen of Clarity / Boomy build:
Druid Classic Season of Discovery (SoD) Talent Calculator - Classic World of Warcraft (wowhead.com). Pros: Very safe in open world, Moonkins are almost as tanky as Dire Bear, and allows you to very easily solo elite mobs, and more difficult quest mobs (root + dot). Barkskin + Hurricane does a tonne of damage fairly safely, allows you to AOE mobs and finish them off in Dire Bear Form. You can focus on + spell power items over raw stats, and hybrid DPS in dungeons, i.e. Cast in Moonkin with mana / for bosses, and switch to cat to DPS in dungeons with Omen of Clarity. Cons: Less dps overall than HotW spec, mana hungry.
Second is the Heart of the Wild build:
Druid Classic Season of Discovery (SoD) Talent Calculator - Classic World of Warcraft (wowhead.com). Pros: I can make use of a wider range of gear, and would be able to level essentially as feral and heal in dungeons. This build would level significantly faster than a Omen of Clarity / Boomy oriented build. Cons: I'm not sure how viable healing Sunken Temple+ would be, even with a healing offset.
Let me know what you think I am open to suggestions.
Right now I am leaning towards Boomy, leveling would be significantly safer from my experience, however leveling efficiency would be significantly reduced when compared to HotW spec. I have already lived the Boomy dream and am not sure if I need to go through it again, the leveling time between my initial builds was roughly 27h played or 18% faster as feral.

2024.05.14 08:24 cpommer Which bike should I go for?
Hello everyone :) I’m relatively unexperienced when it comes to bikes and what I should go for.
I’m looking for a budget priced bike I can use to commute to work.
The road will mostly be on asphalt but I will have to travel through gravel. Although it won’t be off road so to speak.
Considering this I have been looking at gravel bikes.
In my budget I have found 2 bikes:
Canyon Grizl 5 AL and Scott Speedster Gravel 50
The pricing is pretty much the same - but I have no idea what will fit my needs the best, and which bike has the better specs. From what I can read it seems to be the Canyon that has the better specs.
I’m just looking for general advice helping me choose. I’m also very open to other bikes If you have one in mind at the same pricing.
Thank you for your help :)

2024.05.14 08:02 Dangerous-Increase13 Returning player and have some questions
Hey all, I am trying to get back into the game and have few questions please.
I am tired of my Fixer build and want energy weapons build.
Questions:
- What are the strongest non heavy energy weapon options?
- Best way, to roll a decent legendary for a weapon that you want is still crafting and adding 3 stars mod corect?
- I see that new scrip daily limit is 500? I had 1000 two days ago, so it stacks for 2 days?
- Is bloodied the strongest dps build still? I guess stealth cannot be used with energy weapons?
I know about Science perks and I quit roughly before they released The Pitt expeditions.
Star gear always drops according to the amount of stars the enemys have.
Fastest xp is still stacking Int, lunchboxes running places like West-tek, golf club?
That is all, thanks a lot in advance!
