Hi, I am new to building PCs and I am looking for a gaming/astrophotography computer. I figure the gaming side of it will cover the astrophotography. I am going to utilize the computer more in 2-4 years for astrophotography and will need to have around 128GB ram and 4 – 8 K resolution upgradability by then. I have always had an Intel computer and I have seen most builds suggested is Ryzen. I do not know anything about Ryzen but if you can convince me then I am open for anything. My budget is no more than $1800. I am not really interested in RGB lighting so I do not need that added expense. I would like a liquid cooled CPU but not a deal breaker. The most graphic heavy game would be Microsoft Flight Simulator, the other games would be less heavy. I would be doing VR also, so a DisplayPort is needed. I would like to have a GeForce RTX 4070 Super 12GB graphics card or higher. I do not live close to a microcenter and I would like to start this build sooner than later.

In order to hone my excel skills (I work in data analysis and excel is everything) I have a side project or two going at any one time where I pull and present data on subjects I actually find interesting.
One is the Olympics. I built an entire medal table where instead of just the amount of medals won by each nation, I award three points for each gold medal won, 2 to silver and a single point for bronze. I have done this for each event, sport single Olympics and the Games overall. The results are very interesting and it was fun working on it slowly over the last few months.
The problem however is that as the months and years go on many medals are stripped and often reallocated due to doping offences. This will eventually led to my league table being inaccurate.
My question is this - where is the best place to be on top of changes? The Olympic website does not mention every change, Wikipedia is unreliable (I have been forced to rely on this for many) and sources can often conflate which medals might be stripped with ones that actually were. However media organisations find out somehow. I assume this is through press releases sent to them. Can I get on that list? Or is there somewhere official I can access the information?

I was shopping on Mother's Day and I had a customer that just wanted flowers. He wanted these flowers that were in a vase and were around $19.99. The only thing they had left in a vase were like $50 and up, so I told him I could find a bouquet that was closer to the $20 price range. He said that was fine. I ended up finding a pretty large bouquet that was in a bin marked $22.50. The flowers had a price tag of $45. I asked a clerk to scan them and they came up $22.50. I told him if he needed me to I would get hold of IC also, but I never heard back from him. I kept texting but I had to deliver the flowers to who ever he bought them for so I could deliver the other 2 customers stuff I had on the batch. Do you think he got refunded the extra they charged him? I scanned the receipt that said they were $22.50 and I think they can see the chat where I told him they were $22.50. Welcome to the second instalment in what to play while you're counting down the weeks, days and hours until the Erdtree drops. The original plan was to call out lesser known titles, but what the hell - call out whatever scratches the itch good people. Here's my next two classics from the Souls library:
'Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin': so you'll either read the title and keep moving right along. Or stop and scratch your head because man does this one divide the fanbase. Or better yet, you'll play it yourself. There's been a whole lot of talk (including from the FromSoft HQ itself apparently) that DS2 influenced ER. Maybe. It's certainly a huge game. And that doesn't even include the DLCs. And is the first in the series to leap out at you as having left the trial and error of the first two games behind. The world feels alive. The danger has meaning. But most of all, you're not just sinking in gloom. It's my favourite of the DS series. Damn - play it just for the astonishing hub area.
'Hellpoint': sci fi souls that that plays so much like DS remastered, but a few notches above that title's sometimes jank factor. It's mostly linear, has lots of weapon and armour variety. And level design that does spatial (we're talking heights and stuff) as well as any game in the genre right up to this day. It's also yet to be bettered on the hidden area front. You will NEVER get sick of finding those fake walls. How can one tiny little animation rock so much? Oh and the devs eventually released a good little DLC some years later. Play that too.

After dealing with and treating my fibroids for five years while trying to get pregnant, I'm scheduled for a hysterectomy in June. Before going to my appointment in March I kind of had made up my mind: after trying to conceive naturally for 1.5 years, 3 ivf attempts, lots of medication, 2 hyteroscopic myomectomies it was time to not only close the fertility chapter. My uterus hadn't proved her use, so why keep her and do a myomectomy or UFE if the bastards keep coming back anyway? And it was clear pregnancy was/is not in the cards for me. I mean after 4 years of trying and treatments you would expect at least a positive pregnancy test right?
And even though rationally I know this is al correct, my mind has been playing a very annoying game of 'what ifs'. What if a myomectomy would be an option and my uterus would be a healthy organ, maybe then I could get pregnant? So freaking annoying. I know this is just a fantasy. And I want closure. I want to never have to worry about my periods from hell ever again. My uterus will never be healthy. If I could have gotten pregnant I would have already. But still, that fantasy is so attractive, and just keeps popping up the closer I get to my hysterectomy. It's not fair that I could never try without worrying.
FYI: 37 y/o, first small fibroids when I was 28, at 32 a uterus riddled with them (24 week pregnancy sized uterus). Massively diminished after use of Esmya. Last year another growth spurt and back at the 24 weeks...

Hi reddit I have recently received 2 offers that I think both have a couple pros and cons and need help deciding between the 2. For context I am 24, am early career, and both offers have a similar salary so it really is about which job I would like to pursue.
Offer 1: JPMorgan operations analyst program: 2-year new grad ops program where I would be placed with a specific department in the operations team where after these 2 years, I would be made a full time offer to join that team. The pros I can think of for this one is that it is JPM and job stability. I have seen how this sub treats operations and maybe that has rubbed off on me a little bit, but I am hesitant to get into operations. Worse exit opportunities, boring work, “worst” role at the bank, and a lot of people get stuck in operations forever.
Offer 2: Much smaller (>10B in assets) regional bank working as an Associate Product Manager. This position on paper seems a lot more interesting to me and is also full-time work from home, which would be a big perk. This role is more long-term visions, market research, etc. I think this role has a better career path, more interesting work, and better exit opportunities.
I know I definitely am heavily leaning towards Offer 2 but want to make sure I am not making a mistake. I have heard that getting a job anywhere at JPM at this early stage of career is like getting gold plating on your resume that could really help me in the future. so basically i got my treatment plan recently from the NHS NCTH for 40mg testogel (2 pumps) daily. so i went to my GP and they took awhile to prescribe it but alas they managed it a couple days ago, but when i got the call i asked if it would be a repeat prescription and they said because i’ve just started it wouldn’t be as they need to do checks etc and see how it goes. so i have a one of prescription starting today 14/5/24 and my first blood test on the 3rd july in about 7 weeks. what i need help with is knowing how i’m supposed to make the testogel last because i will run out by the 11th june (3 weeks before my test) and i obviously need to be on it still by then. what should i do?

I ‘M26’ have been in a loving relationship with my girlfriend ‘F25’ for one and a half years. Shes a nurse and her best friend ‘M25’ is a Doctor at the same hospital. These are just some things has done, which my girlfriend has told me herself because she also doesn’t like the fact that he does it things extra extra, she has told him several times to just tone it down a little but he always says ‘you’re just a friend to me’ ‘i think of you as family’ ‘I dont like you like that’ My girlfriend has been clear with him from the start that they are just friends.
I know this has been a long read but please bear with me with this last thing… about two months into their friendship one day randomly he had sent her a message that said ‘ what if I said I liked you’ To which my girlfriend had said I am happy with my boyfriend and have no interest in pursuing anything romantic with you. We were all chill from there because she was clear from her side.

It's important to note that after deep research we could find that a major share our hair extensions customers are females aged between 21-45 so we did not actively position our brand as solving problems of low hair volume, but instead we focused on how the products ads style, gives a much better look and you can try new hairstyles and hair colors daily. Also since almost all the demographics in this age group are working, we tested a professional look angle as well which gave us decent results. In ad creatives as well as on the website we made the daughter as the face of the product as we want to slowly grow her instagram as well which can add another organic and sustainable stream of revenue. She shoots before and after transition videos, general product application videos and other videos for ads according to the target audience and brand positioning strategy we discussed earlier. Instead of making long videos focused on product details a lot, we made short but captivating videos which can appeal to the young audience’s fashion sense.

If you don’t already know this, SEO is all about how effectively you can strategize your content and technical efforts keeping a bigger picture in mind. After our initial keyword research we could find that the average Kd of the important keywords was low when it comes to commercial keywords which were directly related to the business.
It's important to note that since the website was being built after our onboarding only so it was easy for us to structure the website according to the SEO strategy that we prepared.
At every stage we had meetings with the developer to ensure that there are no technical issues that will hinder the SEO growth and future and also we structured the website to be SEO friendly. We built separate pages for all the product categories and after through keyword research we added content to those pages so that the pages itself can rank for commercial keywords.
After the website was ready we audited it for technical issues(Like mobile friendliness, H1 tags, canonical tags, etc) we started focusing on the content. We wanted to establish our website as a trusted authority in the hair extensions and hair care industry in general.
Since the website was completely new, initially we created blogs(2-3 times per week) around informational keywords with low KD purely for increasing our website authority and bringing the initial traffic on the website. We have seen that usually people start stressing about approaching big websites for guest postings since the first day itself but if your keyword research and content is solid, that is not required in the beginning. Initially we focused on profile creations, image submissions, pdf submissions, internal linking in the content, web 2.0 backlinks etc and this was more than enough for us to rank for low difficulty keywords and increase our DA to a decent level so that our category pages can rank for low difficulty keywords.
Here I would like to include a tip, many times people are worried that what if the backlink that they have created doesn't get indexed. In the initial phase we work really hard when it comes to what we call as maturing our backlinks as this is the major factor for ranking on low difficulty keywords. So basically what we do is, we make backlinks of our web 2.0 backlinks itself which helps the primary backlink in getting indexed which ultimately helps with our website DA.
Also many people have been asking us in our previous posts how we structure our blog since I talk a lot about content quality, see it's not as hard and it doesn't involve a lot of research at least in the initial phase when you just have to rank on low difficulty keywords. In this phase usually what we do is study the top 5 ranking blogs on the particular keyword and make sure that we include more content and more subheadings then them. Also we try to find opportunities to include tables or charts wherever possible, we include good quality images(original if possible) and at this stage internal linking is very very important so we focus on that as well. In later stages although the basic strategy for framing the blogs remains same, overall content strategy varies a lot from business to business and requires a lot of strategizing depending on the brand positioning goals.
So after we were able to rank for low difficulty informational keywords and our Website DA reached a decent level due to our backlinking efforts, we started writing content around the fashion advice and common problems which people face related to hair in general. But as discussed earlier, we wanted to keep our brand positioning fashion centric, so even while writing about common problems we applied a positive and solution centric approach. We strategically placed internal links to our product pages in the content and tested popups with offers as well. Apart from this, we started guest posting as well at this stage. For finding websites for guest posting we used SEMrush’s backlink gap analysis tool and created a segregated list of blogs that we can reach out to based on their content quality and DA. By this time the store started generating decent revenue from ads and SEO so the client was completely onboard with reaching out to blogs for guest posting. Guest posting and overall strategic SEO application started generating a good amount of traffic for us and in 3-4 months the revenue generated due to SEO surpassed our Ads revenue as well.
Advantages of Combining SEO and Paid Ads
While Facebook Ads played a crucial role in launching the brand and driving initial traffic, SEO has emerged as the primary driver of sustainable growth. This approach allowed us to:

• Reduce Reliance on Paid Advertising: As our SEO efforts matured, we were able to gradually decrease our Facebook ad spend, resulting in cost savings and improved return on investment.
• Build Brand Authority: Our SEO strategy has positioned our website as a trusted authority in the hair extensions industry. This fosters brand recognition and trust, leading to organic customer acquisition.
• Scale Traffic and Revenue: Organic traffic growth has been exponential, leading to a significant and sustainable increase in website revenue generated through SEO.

SEO efforts are always ongoing but we are really satisfied with the base that we have built and we are really looking forward to working with keywords with higher KD and generating more revenue with SEO In the upcoming months. Although we will keep running ads in future as well mostly for awareness purposes but the major revenue will be generated from our SEO efforts. Apart from this, as we mentioned earlier, we are looking to actively start the Social Media efforts as well from the next month itself. We will be looking to target Instagram and Tiktok in the initial phase and we believe in 2-3 months social media will contribute towards 25% of our revenue which will grow rapidly.
