2024.05.14 11:57 Warm_Wave6209 pms7003 questions.

I built an outdoor air monitor with PMS7003 and BME680, using MQTT and WiFi. Unfortunately, the total power consumption is very high at 250-300mA, so I can't use it with solar panels and a battery. I have two questions, and I am interested in practical experience:
  1. How long should I wait after waking up the PMS7003 to get accurate data?
  2. What is the lifespan of the sensor? The manufacturer guarantees a few thousand hours, which is quite low.

Rooftop solar panel users in Kerala decry generation duty hike
Consumers who have installed rooftop solar panels have been dealt a severe blow with a steep increase in electricity generation duty imposed on them. The levy on consumers who generate energy for their consumption has been raised from 1.2 paise to 15 paise per unit from April 1.
Moreover, consumer groups have decided to move legally against the power department, the KSEB and the chief electrical inspector for violating the central government’s decision that generation duty should not be collected for solar power, which is renewable energy.
Violates central directive
“The 2023-24 state budget increased it to 15 paise per unit. This was despite the Centre maintaining that consumers cannot be charged generation duty for renewable energy. For every Rs 6 per unit of power generated, the duty has gone up by 11.5%.
According to the Solar Producers’ Association, the Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission did not have a role in the decision. The commission has called a meeting of rooftop solar panel owners in Thiruvananthapuram on May 15.
Gross metering grouse
At the meeting, customers are also expected to raise objections against the introduction of gross meters. They are peeved as a decision to roll in a gross metering system was called off after widespread protests two years ago.

2024.05.14 11:32 fridolin2509 Solar mining europe

My father recently renovated his home and put up solar panels. That's were the idea is coming from.
If i would build/renovate a home... Would it be wise and doable to just put the newest antminer in your basement get enough solar panels to completely fuel the home and the miner and pay down all of that in the coming 10 year via BTC? Or would the miner be outdated before you turn to profit? Renovating a home is expensive AF, 20k more or less on the credit shouldn't hurt that much...
I would like to do this when I own my own first home...

2024.05.14 10:26 trace_jax3 Ten years ago, this unassuming panel gave us the most fun fan theory in Bleach history

This panel
Ten years ago, we were learning about the TYBW arc 20 panels at a time. At this point in the series, we were still guessing about what Haschwalth's B schrift might mean.
This panel occurs during the second (major) Sternritter invasion of Soul Society, when the Quincies stole Bankais and then had them unstolen. We knew the Soul Society had made some preparations for this invasion after the first invasion, when Yamamoto was killed. But we didn't know the extent.
This panel concludes Haschwalth's attempted assassination of new Captain-Commander Kyoraku. Most of that assassination attempt was just Haschwalth and Kyoraku commenting on the progress of the invasion, since Nanao constructed a barrier between them to protect Kyoraku. Suddenly, as the invasion was nearing its end, Haschwalth almost broke through that barrier... only to be met by another, hexagonal barrier that stopped him long enough for the second invasion to end.
As Haschwalth left, Kyoraku made the remark in the panel above: that the next time Haschwalth came, Kyoraku would have some choice tea waiting for him. Also, for some reason, Kyoraku's eyepatch was (originally) on the wrong eye.
Pretty basic, right?
But the Bleach community was very hungry to figure out what happened next. In all of this, we noticed two problems. The eyepatch was on the wrong eye. And Kyoraku historically loved sake, not tea.
But do you know who enjoyed tea, didn't need an eyepatch on that side of his face, was great at hexagonal barriers, liked messing with his enemies, and resided somewhere in the Squad 1 barracks?
That's right. Sosuke Aizen.
We were so desperate for Aizen content that a lot of the community believed Aizen had swapped in for Kyoraku at this point. We didn't even know about the chair yet.
Did it mean that Aizen - who had already messed with Yhwach during the first invasion - had escaped? Was he working with, or against, Soul Society? Since when were we under the impression that he had actually been imprisoned?
It was an exciting time.

2024.05.14 10:11 THUND3R_4 Nvidia reflex or ullm in nvidia control panel?

Hi all. New to pc gaming. Trying to figure out the best system latency settings for this game on a 4090.
With ultra low latency set and g sync and v sync both on in control panel with reflex turned on. I get about 50ms system latency.
Is this acceptable for an fps? What are people using to reduce latency but have the game buttery smooth without frame tears.
Using epic settings on a 120hz lg display.
Any help is appreciated as I don't fully understand system latency for fps games yet. Coming from xbox series x so no idea what that latency was.

2024.05.14 10:00 Unusual-Ad-7339 NEW BNB MINER PROJECT - 14,2 % APR daily - SolarFarmMinerOffical

Solar Farm SolarFarmMinerOffical
Solar Farm is currently has the highest rising TVL’s, it’s based around three assets.: BNB, Solar Panels and Power (in Gigawatts). Deposit BNB in exchange for Panels. Your Panels will go to work earning Power. You will earn 14.28% of your Panels per day in the form of watts shown under “Manage Solar Farm”.
Daily percentage is up to 14.20%. This depends on claiming habits, time of day you compound or deposit, TVL fluctuation. The contract is written to provide an optimal entry for any and all users, new or old.
This is the reason the Panels per BNB amount changes frequently with TVL fluctuation to provide an even playing field for any new user coming to Solar Farm and not giving the first user a head start.
HOW DOES MINERS WORK?The way it works is pretty simple - you deposit your funds into the miner rewards pool and you earn daily interest. Your deposit is locked forever and you cannot withdraw it. However, you can always Claim or Compound your pending rewards. You can earn up to 12% Daily depending on the project you decide to invest in.HOW DOES DEFI WORK?Decentralized finance (DeFi) is an emerging financial technology. It is based on secure distributed ledgers similar to those used by cryptocurrencies. The system eliminates the control banks and institutions have on our money, financial services, and financial products.

Defi eliminates the fees banks and other financial companies charge us for using their services. Hold your money in a secure digital wallet instead of keeping it in a bank. Transfer funds and access your money within seconds.

2024.05.14 09:52 SiFA5_kiksit Power out

I’m really hoping someone can help me out here. It’s almost 3:00am and I’m sitting in my car to charge my phone.
A couple of months ago we had a brief power outage. Not only did my Solaredge Battery Banks not take over, the power never came back on with the house initially. I had to reboot some things myself. I don’t recall the details but I eventually had power when the power came back on but now I was no longer getting power from the panels. This was actually the second time this happened since the original install and also the second time I lost power. The only time I’ve ever been able to get backup to work was immediately after install just testing the system. Installers eventually came out and installed a surge protector in the main panel and the tech also noticed that the battery wiring wasn’t done 100% correctly. Up to this point my system worked as it should (as far as I can tell) when main power was being supplied from the grid. Solar would charge batteries and we would pull from batteries in the evening. The issue is when I lose power and I need this $57k system to do its damn job. I knew the grid down didn’t work because I tested it after they left the last time. I told them it wasn’t working. And like clockwork it’s damn near impossible to get them out here. One of the electricians lives just 5 minutes up the road from me too. During grid down the Backup Interface has now power and the Inverter has no power. The batteries (2) both have the blue communication light blinking consistently and the green power light blinking every 3-4 seconds. Fault light is not blinking.
Does anyone know what the heck is going on? During grid down are the batteries supposed to supply power to the inverter which in turn supplies power to the BU Interface which then allows power to the house? If so, it would seem the inverter isn’t getting power or a signal from the batteries.

2024.05.14 09:28 Undefeated-Smiles Fallout Future Game Ideas I'd love to see but probably will never happen 👀

These are my own thoughts about the type of new game changes to the future Fallout narratives I'd like to see get developed, so hold down your Vats and just listen to me before you blast me away? ☢️
Harold the Living Tree from Fallout 3 begins to let out of the community and slowly mutates/changes the wasteland into something more vivid and quite dangerous for everyone. They could showcase new plant like mutants such as Venus Fly Trap enemies, some new insects, perhaps walking mutated trees that speak due to the cult being infected by the sap
The Waters Of Life from Fallout 3 has taken a new effect on the wasteland. The waters are beginning to rapidly mutate into a healthier environment for all of the wasteland, with few radiation storms now happening and it becoming a new warzone over the control of fresh water.
The Brotherhood Of Steel dismantling from all of the previous games events and reorganizing into a new military faction that aims to be more ruthless but protective of humanity's own future survival. It could give the franchise a new spin on an OG group
Synths, and A.I robots finally overcoming their own limitations and becoming a civilized faction in the world. They could blend in easily with their own technology that's changing the environment around themselves, and have a new city that's solely built on solar powered cells and synthetic life ruling it.
Supermutants that are becoming more intelligent, who can speak different languages remembering their old lives that can be bargained with or can have a conversation so you can encounter them with a little more variety other than just fight for it.
References to Fallout 1-2, New Vegas, 4 and the TV series by NPCs or Quest givers would be a lot of fun. It would be entertaining to hear npcs complain or get frustrated over the sight of a pipboy and a vault suit again and want nothing to do with you out of fear of the past events. Make Vault Dwellers the type of "ghost stories" that are shared because of their accomplishments over hostile enemies lately.
Being able to start the Fallout Experience not as a vault dweller as always. Perhaps we can start the game as a Pre-War Ghoul who experiences the bombs during their day time life or job, which then flashes into the future as a Bounty Hunter, or some kind of life ahead. Perhaps we are a prototype synth just being reprogrammed by the remnants of the institute and go to learn about humanity's life.
Maybe they let us play as a young Supermutant who is abducted by a villainous group and we can then slowly learn about them and go for revenge for their actions against your own kind. You could be a full mutant or a half breed with human looks but the abilities of a mutant, would be interesting.
Even though Todd Howard said the franchise will be in the States alone I can't help but wonder what the Canadian style of Fallout would be like. Imagine mutated Deer, beavers, all kinds of unique animals. It could even introduce factions that are obsessed with hockey that have become violent and hostile, with actual winter environments due to the bombs.

2024.05.14 08:57 sound214 Single page for manga/comics

Hi,
I’ve been testing BookFusion along with Paperback, Tachimanga and Panels for reading manga on iOS. While the latter alternatives have great manga support (obviously), I feel they lack the polish of BookFusion. As an example, none of the other apps can easily sort volumes into series. Also, metadata support is lacking.
However! There’s one feature that all of these other apps excels. Single page reading. This is crucial for reading manga/comics on the phone. Sure, you can pinch to zoom and try to fit one page into view, but this grows tiresome after a while. All my manga is in kepub format if that matters (I switch between my Kobo and my phone).
Is there anyone else who wants this? Is this planned?
