Microsoft access templates for hr

I’m looking for advice on how to legally and intelligently deal with my untaxed income.
I’m trying to avoid paying taxes quarterly, owing a large amount, and paying tax penalties.
I’m married, filed jointly for the first time this year. Ended up owing over $5k.
Husband makes $122/yr, salary. One job. No HSA/FSA/IRA/401k (I know, we’ve talked about it). His withholding doesn’t seem to be the problem.
I make $135-ish/yr at my primary job, hourly pay ($65/hr, approx 40hrs/wk). I work (4) 10 hour days, ie, Tuesday- Friday. Unsure whether the withholding is 100% correct for this job, but it’s at least close. I work for another office 1 Saturday/month. $330 for the day, no withholding. I work for a 3rd office 1-2days/month. $47/hr for anywhere from 3-9hrs. Also no withholding. I pick up 0-3days/month through a temp firm. The duration of the day & hourly rate varies, but it is typically around $500 for a day of work. Definitely no withholding.
I have a 401k through my primary job, as well as health insurance, if that makes a difference.
We had $31k in deductions for mortgage interest & property tax. No kids (just dogs).
I’d love to figure out how to avoid having another tax surprise when I file for 2024. I’m open to any advice that is legal 🙂 Bonus if I can save the untaxed earnings in a way that I can avoid paying taxes on it for now (like how to invest it for retirement?) EXTRA bonus points if there’s a way to save it for retirement in its untaxed form AND have access to it in the short term (like a 401k that can be borrowed against)…

To summarize, I observed that the rubberbanding effect of Transplant. As the time played grew, I began to see an effect after Transplant that would yank me back to the original Transplant target location after a delay. The delay (Time to Rubberband, if you will) grew completely at a linear rate. About 1.7s / hr.
It seems like most people don't experience this problem, but I've spotted posts of others that do.
I've spent a lot of time testing this and trying to rule out issues. In all my testing, I discovered something surprising about my PC. I'm having a small amount of drift in my clock. I'm slowly losing time. Comparing my PC clock vs NIT Internet Time Service, my PC clock is falling behind at almost exactly the same rate that my rubberbanding is growing!
Last Epoch Rubberbanding amount after 1 hour played:
From my last video after 60 minutes, I was rubberbanding 51 frames (on 30 FPS video).
51 frames to rubberband / 30 Frames per second = 1.7 second rubberband time
PC Time Drift
In 30 minutes of clock testing, I observed 0.845s of drift.
0.845s / 30m * 60m/1hr = 1.69s/hr
Conclusion
I would have trouble proving this with 100% certainty without access to some other systems with LE and some minor clock drift, but the fact that the hourly drift and hourly rubberbanding times are within 0.01s of each other seems too close to be a coincidence.

PC Problem? I guess? Is it also a bug for Last Epoch?
Now, this is being caused by an issue with my system, sure. But it sure looks like that when a game session starts that some kind of timer is being initialized on client side that is being used as part of the Transplant (and perhaps other traversals) code. It isn't updated until you re-log or die and respawn.
I think there's an assumption that the timers will be in sync with the sever, and in theory they should be very very close. Though, a tiny amount of clock drift is not that unusual. So while mine might get bad very quickly to being unplayable in an hour, someone with a more normal level of drift might notice a minor rubber band effect after 2 or 3 hours of play (without death).
In the Meantime...
I'm also contacting my PC support. It's a 5 month old PC under warranty, so I'm definitely getting this looked into.
TLDR : I believe PC Clock Drift seems to result in Transplant rubberbanding

The lawsuit challenges the law on constitutional grounds, also citing commercial, technical, and legal hurdles, as well as opposition from Beijing. Legal experts say the legal battle will play out in the courts in coming months and likely will reach the Supreme Court.

OpenAI unveiled its newest model, GPT-4o, designed to turn ChatGPT into a digital personal assistant that can engage in real-time, spoken conversations and interact with users using text, screenshots, photos, documents, and charts. The new version of ChatGPT also has memory capabilities, which means it can learn from previous conversations. It will be available to both unpaid and premium customers alike. OpenAI also announced that it would be launching a desktop app with the GPT-4o capabilities, giving users another platform to interact with the technology outside of a web browser.

Amazon launched in South Africa last week, marking its first marketplace in sub-Saharan Africa, and bringing its total number of marketplaces worldwide to 22. To launch the new marketplace, Amazon is offering free delivery on first orders and on subsequent orders above R500 (about $27), access to 3,000 pick-up points, status updates via WhatsApp to track orders, 30 day refunds, and 24/7 customer support. The marketplace was supposed to launch in the country in 2023, but got delayed due to changes in priorities within Amazon.

In an unlikely partnership, Instacart is partnering with Uber Eats to expand into the restaurant delivery business. Instacart will add a new tab for restaurant delivery to its app in the coming weeks, the listings will be provided by Uber, and the food will be picked up and delivered by Uber Eats drivers. Customers will receive the same prices on both apps and Instacart will receive an affiliate commission on orders. It's a strange partnership though given that Instacart and Uber Eats actively compete on grocery delivery. Are they planning to merge? Uber says no.

Apple's advertisement for its latest iPad Pro sparked criticism for showing an animation of musical instruments, paint cans, cameras, record players, and other symbols of creativity being crushed by a giant machine, with the output being the new iPad Pro, which the company says is the thinnest Apple product ever. In this context, “crushing” was supposed to symbolize “consolidating” and “compacting” — with the visuals meant to showcase how the new iPad Pro puts the power of all these tools into the hands of creators in one thin device. However online commenters criticized the ad as insensitive and as symbolizing a “destruction of the human experience.” The ad hit the web on Tuesday, and by Thursday, Apple issued a mea culpa and apologized for the campaign.

Google is encouraging merchants to enable conversion annotations on their Google Shopping ads, which offer social proof that highlight a product's popularity. Conversion annotations like “best selling” or “3K shopped here recently” would provide visual cues about a product’s popularity or sales performance directly in the ad unit. Annotations like these are par for the course with e-commerce retailers including Amazon, Walmart, and Temu, which all employ similar tactics. They can provide valuable info for shoppers and also help with conversions. However they also open data privacy concerns, given that Google is not the actual retailer or marketplace selling the items, so a merchant would have to share this purchase history data from their e-commerce platform with Google — which technically most already do by giving access to GA4.

Shein is attempting to join the National Retail Federation as it pursues regulatory approval to go public in the US. The company believes that NRF membership would boost its chances of receiving SEC approval. However so far, Shein has been rejected numerous times. An anonymous source familiar with the matter said someone with heavy influence at the NRF is strongly against the Shein's admittance. However board members who spoke to CNBC said that Shein's membership application hadn't come up in meetings, and that they aren't involved in deciding which companies are granted access.

A few weeks ago I reported that Eddie Wu, the CEO of Alibaba Group, would now be directly overseeing its domestic e-commerce arm which includes Taobao and Tmall Group, and it sounds like he's hitting the ground running with his new responsibilities.

Amazon is hosting its first-ever Amazon Book Sale, a new shopping event starting on May 15th that offers up to 50% off print best sellers and up to 80% off Kindle Books. The six day shopping event will exclusively run in the US, and Prime-membership is not required to take advantage of the deals.

FTX reported that nearly all of its customers will receive the money back that they are owed, two years after the cryptocurrency exchange imploded. The company owes about $11.2B to its customers and estimates that it has between $14.5B and $16.3B to distribute to them. The caveat is that customers will receive the USD value of their holdings at the time of the exchange collapse, and not the actual crypto holdings themselves, which means that they'll miss out on all gains during the past two years during which BTC went from around $16k to now over $60k. Better than nothing though, that's for sure.

800,000 consumers in Europe and the US were duped into sharing card details and other sensitive personal data with a network of fake online designer shops operated from China, which comprised one of the largest scams of its kind with 76,000 fake websites created. The scammers used expired domains to host its fake shops in order to help avoid detection by websites or brand owners, and more than 1M orders were processed in the past three years alone.

TikTok will begin automatically labeling AI generated content when it is uploaded from certain platforms like DALL.E 3, Adobe Firefly, Photoshop, and Microsoft Copilot. eBay is testing an Add To Cart button in search results that opens a Quick View window, allowing buyers to skip the listing page. Technically the button should probably not be labeled “Add To Cart” since it doesn't perform that action, but rather, displays a quick view window with three buttons: Buy It Now, Add To Cart, View All Details. Sellers are worried that buyers will miss crucial details in the product description that may lead to increased returns and negative feedback.

Amazon is planning to launch its fleet of drones in Tolleson, Arizona, but the city's extreme temperature is hampering its efforts. Drones can't operate in temperatures exceeding 104 degrees Fahrenheit, a temperature that Tolleson crosses for a full three months of the year.

A US district judge dismissed X's lawsuit against Bright Data, a data-scraping company accused of improperly accessing X system and violating X terms and state laws when scraping and selling data. The judge basically said that if X owned the data, it could perhaps argue that it has exclusive rights to control it, but then X wouldn't be able to enjoy the safe harbor of Section 230, which allows the platform to avoid liability for third-party content. Can't have it both ways!

Nintendo is discontinuing its X integration for the switch on June 10th, which means users will no longer be able to post screenshots or videos to the platform from their device. The drop in support also affects games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which had game-specific options to send out tweets. Microsoft Xbox dropped support for X in April 2023 and Sony Playstation dropped the service in October 2023 due to the increase in X's API access fees.

Amazon claimed that its recordable incident rate — a metric that comprises all injuries requiring “more than basic first-aid treatment” — at its US warehouses has improved by 24% since 2019. I own a lot of nvidia shares and options too. Recently I have searched the internet trying to access nvidia A100 and H100 GPUs for business purposes.
I have came in contact with a variety of cloud providers (azure, aws, gcp, lambda labs, paperspace, runpod.io)
Pretty much it comes down to this:
GCP - 8x H100 GPUs cost per hour 88$, total monthly cost ~60k. I tried reserving one of these machines but ran into quota issues. I reached out to them telling them that I would like access but it has been incredibly hard, and haven’t been granted access yet despite a history of paying ~10-20k monthly in cloud fees.
AWS - made an account with them and subscribed to the developer monthly support plan hoping I can get more access to the GPUs. To no avail they granted me a few access to the RTX 4060 GPUs. and it was very small amount. On average 1x H100 machines are about 3.5$ per hour. Amazon has the p4d series vm using GPUs, for more details see here: https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/instance-types/p4/
Azure - also subscribed to the support plan of 100$ per month. To no avail after sending about 10 quota requests to allow me to use their A100 and H100 GPUs, it was still not granted. On demand cloud providers:
Lambda labs/runpod/paperspace - these cloud providers are great and often charge per hour based on demand for these GPUs. Meaning that sometimes you can have access, sometimes not. Anyways often times their H100 and A100 aren’t available but their 8x H100 Machines are available for like 27$. Currently I’m using like 20 of these H100 GPUs and man does the cost stack up.
It’s been like 2 weeks and I paid already 10k+ already.
This provides a lot of perspective in terms of how demand is for these nvidia GPUs at these data centers and cloud providers. I have a credit card attached and even with the high pricing, I can’t even get access to these GPUs. Also, needless to say all providers aside from lambda labs and runpod require you to provide a legitimate use case for these machines.
My use case is that I am exploring some start up ideas with regards to AI and need to deploy models using fast compute with low latency inference times.
Anyways, just some thought into how bullish into nvidia I am. It’s good to actually get some perspective even though you hear media talking about demand >>> supply.

FTX reported that nearly all of its customers will receive the money back that they are owed, two years after the cryptocurrency exchange imploded. The company owes about $11.2B to its customers and estimates that it has between $14.5B and $16.3B to distribute to them. The caveat is that customers will receive the USD value of their holdings at the time of the exchange collapse, and not the actual crypto holdings themselves, which means that they'll miss out on all gains during the past two years during which BTC went from around $16k to now over $60k. Better than nothing though, that's for sure.

800,000 consumers in Europe and the US were duped into sharing card details and other sensitive personal data with a network of fake online designer shops operated from China, which comprised one of the largest scams of its kind with 76,000 fake websites created. The scammers used expired domains to host its fake shops in order to help avoid detection by websites or brand owners, and more than 1M orders were processed in the past three years alone.

eBay is testing an Add To Cart button in search results that opens a Quick View window, allowing buyers to skip the listing page. A US district judge dismissed X's lawsuit against Bright Data, a data-scraping company accused of improperly accessing X system and violating X terms and state laws when scraping and selling data. The judge basically said that if X owned the data, it could perhaps argue that it has exclusive rights to control it, but then X wouldn't be able to enjoy the safe harbor of Section 230, which allows the platform to avoid liability for third-party content. Nintendo is discontinuing its X integration for the switch on June 10th, which means users will no longer be able to post screenshots or videos to the platform from their device. The drop in support also affects games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which had game-specific options to send out tweets. Microsoft Xbox dropped support for X in April 2023 and Sony Playstation dropped the service in October 2023 due to the increase in X's API access fees.

Amazon claimed that its recordable incident rate — a metric that comprises all injuries requiring “more than basic first-aid treatment” — at its US warehouses has improved by 24% since 2019. i dont know if i'm using ClassVar right - Pycharm is flagging any time i access them.
i'm using them with Pydantic and SqlModel, so that i can define attributes - eg here a routing prefix - that is class-wide, but has no business being in my database.

everything works as expected, but pycharm says: Unresolved attribute reference 'route_prefix' for class 'Episode'
i can even middle-click or ctrl-b and pycharm will navigate me to the route_url attr of the Episode class, so clearly it knows the class has the attribute.
am using ClassVar wrong somehow, or is this (another) false postive rabbit hole i'm pissing time into for no reason?

I've bene trying to troubleshoot BSOD errors for a friend and I've been trying to isolate the issue from the minidump files using WinDbg. The motherboard had already been replaced through warranty due to similar networking issues, however the NETIO BSOD has returned.
Previously to the new motherboard I had done numerous things including a Reset then USB reinstall of Windows.
Troubleshooting thus far post-new motherboard:

As it has returned it would seem to indicate that a security program is at fault or, perhaps, there is some 'toe stepping' on memory access. Most recent research as also indicated a uninstall reinstall of NIC drivers. I don't often go Dmp diving. I hope someone with more experience in this area can assist in locating the culprit for the NETIO. I hope its something glaring that I'm just missing. If possible could the reading for the solution be explained so I have a better idea of how to procced in the future in these instances. Thank you for your time and efforts.

Hello, I'm a help desk tech and have experienced 2 instances of a very similar problem with the pass app.
I setup our new HR employee in the app (iOS) and everything worked during the initial setup. The app prompted me to allow Bluetooth and location access as expected. She was fine for 4 days and was able to use all the features. Even after hours if there was activity in the building, she would get notified. Fast forward to today (Monday May 13th), the app suddenly displays a red banner that says "Something went wrong". Also, in the settings app on the iPhone, the location and Bluetooth permissions don't even appear anymor to toggle. I attempted installing it through the app store, our company portal, reset settings to attempt a force location and Bluetooth request, used our authenticator to sign in, password sign in, changed default browser, signed into the Microsoft account in a fresh browser and set that as default, etc. Nothing seems to be working. She's running on iOS 16 and has an iOS 17 update available but she needs to clear storage first. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Both times this happened on an iPhone, not sure the software version on the first situation, but I was able to fix it by signing into her Microsoft account in the browser and authenticating with the authenticator and it fixed it, but not this time. She will get back to me once she can do the update, but I wanted to check with you all in the meantime. Thanks for any assistance. Also, the network admin checked her account and she has all permissions and can unlock doors, talk through the app, see the cameras, get notifications, etc.

At the risk of sounding arrogant, I consider myself to be at least marginally more intelligent (both academically & socially) than the average person. Therefore, if I ever decided to suddenly risk prison time, risk my reputation, and risk enduring the wrath of modern-day “cancel culture” by scamming people out of their money:

• I certainly wouldn’t do it for such paltry amounts of money. (i.e., anything less than $1,000 per victim.)
• I certainly wouldn’t choose high school & college students as my “target audience” to scam, considering that most people without college degrees have abysmally low annual incomes. Why choose low-income victims when it would be much more profitable to target high-income, high-net-worth individuals earning at least six figures a year? I have knowledge in business consulting, and I promise you that a business owner would be a MUCH more lucrative mark than a low-income college student.
• I wouldn’t choose such a time & energy-draining method of scamming people. Also, communicating back and forth with potential clients is an absurdly long time sink since only less than 10% of all potential clients who reach out to me actually become paying clients of mine. So, I'll try to keep this succinct:

• I"m using shared hosting on GoDaddy, using cPanel v110.0.15. (I know, I know...)
• I recently had a couple of e-mails bounce with the aforementioned error. Everything I've seen says that I need to adjust the "Maximum Line Length for SMTP Transports" in the EXIM Configuration Manager.
• Alternately, the suggestion is to directly edit the /etc/exim4/exim4.conf.template file.
• Unsurprisingly, I have access to neither.

I just spent an hour on the phone with GoDaddy tech, and they basically said there's nothing they are going to do about it. The server admins specifically suggested I figure out a workaround from my end.
Nice attitude. But OK.
FWIW, the problem is a known one: specifically, the 'References" header added by the Windows Outlook app just keeps growing, especially when you have a lot of back-and-forth chains with a lot of people on the discussion, and the 'references' start to pile up.
I can't avoid chain e-mails, and I'm not ditching Outlook just because.
Suggested options?
I'm guessing the first one will be to ditch GoDaddy as a host, but if I do, is this a known problem elsewhere too? If "it depends", are there any recommendations on how to ensure I AVOID this if I go elsewhere?
Aside from that, has anyone found a way to deal with lengthy SMTP headers another way?

We have a client who uses Microsoft 365 who recently partnered with a company who uses Google Workspace. It's been a recurring issue where people are trying to access documents shared by the GW company but can't as they don't have access and don't have a google account.
The cheap and free option is just to create a free gmail account and pass the email to the GW company, but this seems pretty messy and generally seems like one of the worst options.
Another option is for the GW company to make the links public. This is not a viable option and has obvious security/integrity problems.
A decent but more costly solution would be to set up a google workspace subscription for the M365 client, and set it up AzureAD as the SSO provider. AzureAD could also be used to provision new users for the new GW subscription. I believe we just need to set up an additional TXT record to prove domain ownership, and we can skip the MX records while also disabling gmail in the google workspace subscription. This is important as we'd like to use the M365 clients domain and AzureAD for SSO/SCIM Provisioning, but not disrupt the use of any M365 services such as Exchange.
Another option, something third party?

My company has it stated in the employee handbook that 401k eligibility starts after 30 days of completed service, and a 30 day "safe harbor match" notice period for a total of 60 days. I've been an employee now for 90+ days and still haven't received info on enrollment. When I spoke with HR they said it should come in the mail this week, no info on why it was late. When asked if they could retroactively match contributions for the time I was no able to contribute HR told me that it wasnt possible. Is this illegal since I wasn't able to defer contributions due to not having access to the plan?

inspired in part by this post, I want to talk about zones. we see this come up a lot. running is ostensibly trendy at the moment and tons of people are getting into it, which is awesome. but I see many falling into HR based training pushed by influencers etc.
zones should really have nothing to do with your heart rate. if anything, it is based on RPE, since most of us don’t have ready access to VO2max testing or blood lactate testers. the literature supports this, and actually typically only differentiates between 3 zones. See here, here, here, and here.
Why is this? For starters, your heart rate is affected by numerous factors. Sleep, metabolism, food and water intake, electrolyte balance, heat, humidity, training load, etc. So HR on its own is likely to fluctuate from day to day even when running at similar effort levels. But a more pertinent consideration for me is the lack of accurate HR readings. while many now have access to optical HR readings from wrist based sensors, these readings are known to be inaccurate. this includes things like the coros arm band which is yet another optical sensor. so the only reliably accurate readings are taken from chest straps. yet this still falls victim to HR variability.
So then how to proceed? you don’t need to abandon zone training. most running is still done based on zones. but the thresholds for each zone are different than perhaps many people are used to. zone 1 is typically defined as easy conversational. zone 2 is conversational, but labored. zone 3 is threshold effort and should not involve more than 2–3 word responses.
there are generally two approaches covered in the literature: pyramidal and polarized. pyramidal involves distributions between the zones such as 80/15/5, and polarized involves something more like 80/3–5/15–17. Neither approach has necessarily been proven to be better than the other, but one may work better based on factors like time available (and different approaches may work better for more specialized kinds of training. moreover, beginner level runners tend to benefit from ANY kind of training.
to summarize, zone 1 is easy and conversational. zone 2 is harder than easy and easier than hard. zone 3 is hard. most of your time can be spent in zone 1. the amount of time you spend in zones 2 and 3 is dependent on your schedule and preferences.
so all this is to say, don’t worry too much about your HR. you don’t need to be taking walk breaks to keep your HR under 140 or what have you. just get out there and run, and most importantly, have fun!

I've got a NT USB-Mini that I tend to use with the rode connect software on macOS (sonama). I make use of the various DSP filters. It works well with most apps, including WebEx, Zoom etc. The 'RODE Connect stream' is usually set as the input for these applications
HOWEVER my org is switching over to Microsoft teams
However in this configuration I typically get no audio, or at best a wierd distorted, robotic, unintelligible mess.
Using teams in the browser (Microsoft Edge) does work correctly. So I either do this, or just the mic input directly whereup I lose access to the DSP configuration, and volume levels typically need adjusting.
