Uranium Bolt, inspired by Frankenstein’s monster: I’m thinking about giving him a navy green trench coat, plus I’m making him a cyborg, so we need to show some mechanical parts, (I’m looking at Ironwood), and his clothes need stitches
Denarius Silverbane, inspired by the werewolf: Of course I’m making him a wolf faunus, inspirations include Wolverine, Kraven the Hunter, and Lycan from the “Linen” trailer

It usually takes something very special for me to cry watching a TV show or movie and so my list of TV shows where tears roll down my cheeks for several minutes at great intensity is pretty small.
Just off the top of my head:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer S05E16 - “The Body”
When Buffy sees Joyce on the couch and then comes to the realization that she has died, the initial disbelief and the grief on her face suddenly felt so believable and I cried like a baby probably more than any other time watching anything. Probably SMG’s best performance in anything was in this episode and the way it was presented and how the episode went off the air felt like it perfectly encapsulated her grief and coming to terms.
This Is Us S02E14 - “Super Bowl Sunday”
In particular, when Rebecca is told of Jack’s death (just moments after she saw him and he was fine) produced a nonstop round of tears rolling down my cheeks and then it didn’t stop for the rest of the episode and I really felt the suddenness of this death and how it completely changed the lives of these people.
Scrubs S03E14 - “My Screw Up”
Brendan Fraser and John C. McGinley are so magnificent in this episode (as is everyone, but these two are the standouts) and the episode ends with a heartbreaking image at the funeral as we see how the usually very manly Dr. Cox is beside himself with his grief at his best friend dying.

I found a recreational community with RVs and I really enjoyed my time there. I want to be able to go during the summers and Halloween. My friends have kids so I would love their kids to come during Halloween and enjoy their time as well. I have the money at the least for the downpayment.. I already own a primary home. My question really comes down to I still want to buy property that won't depreciate. I'm not sure if RV recreational communities are a good place to buy property as much as I enjoyed my time there. I assume not all real estate is good to invest into. Thank you in advance!

I had no idea that anyone had ever covered it, and can't believe I never even searched for it in all my Halloween-loving music years! They also expanded the lyrics to make it super dark, and it makes me look back on the song from Hocus Pocus with different eyes. Given, yes, she was essentially luring them to their death, but the expanded lyrics are just like... deeeeumn that's f'ed up. It's funny when it comes to this movie that it's such a feel-good, family movie for kids of all generations, but if you boil down the plot, it's EXTREMELY dark. All about presentation I suppose lol

Hey there, I hope this meets the community standards, it's not directly FastLED related, but this might be the right group of people to bounce the idea off of! If this gets me on the right track of "this is the right library to use" and/or a bunch of people saying "you're in way over your head", that's more than enough!
I'm a programmer by trade, but I've never done anything with an arduino or LEDs. So this will be an absurdly over-scoped first foray into the hobby.
I have an idea for a wearable LED costume I'd like to bring to burning man this year (So I have until the end of August to build it!)
A simplified example - lets put an addressable LED on my head, each hand, one on the waist, and each foot. With me?
I'd then use a collection of accelerometers paired with those LED locations to measure their movement.
Already, we can do fun stuff like change color of each LED based on its speed.
Next, I want a button.
Clicking the button zeroes the current location of each of the accelerometers in memory. We'll call this location the datum.
Now I can calculate the distance each sensor has moved from the datum, and build this effect I am imagining that as I move further away from the datum, the LEDs change colors or fade out or something.
With me so far?
Now the more complicated example --
instead of only on addressable LED for each hand, foot, waist, and on my head, they are LED strips lining the outfit.
I do still have the 6 accelerometers, but the 'datum' is no longer just the 6 (x,y,z) locations, it's the "stick figure" representation of the lines between each sensor. And now we approximate the position of each LED as a line between the current positions of the accelerometers, and we measure the distance from that approximation to anywhere on the datum stick figure.
I'm not sure if this the exact algorithm I'd use, but hopefully I've described it well enough to get the idea across.
What do you think?
I know it's absolutely absurd in scope for a first LED project, but I am pretty solid on the math and programming involved in an abstract sense... I could do this in Unity or Blender for example... How it turns out in the real world is a different story!

I was reading an article today about James Gunn's new design for Superman's iconic outfit and how they think that he shouldn't be reinventing his outfit so much. Although they said the new design wasn't terrible, it also wasn't anything outstanding to look at. So this got me thinking on how they could possible redesign his outfit, while still keeping the same color scheme and his iconic S symbol on his chest, while also changing it up some and keeping it new. I tried Googling this and nothing came up and I'm no Superman lore expert, so please tell me if this goes against everything for his character. Basically my idea for Superman's outfit shouldn't be an outfit at all. Instead of him using his superspeed to change into his iconic blue and red outfit, he now has the power of changing his skin color to the blue and red colors and then regarding his iconic S shape, he now has this ingrained into his chest anatomy, maybe the chest bones are kind of S shaped, but turn a golden yellow color once the rest of his skin changes color to highlight this area. Regarding his cape, I'd assume it just sort of grows out of his shoulders or appears sort of like he's manifesting it onto himself. And then of course the whole gential area comes into question, obviously he can't be slinging D like Dr Manhattan, so I'd just assume he sort of goes full Ken mode and it's just not there, unless you really wanna go R rated then by all means turn that area into the mighty Red Son. So yeah, that's my idea for a redesign of his outfit. The closest character that I could think of that was like this was again Dr Manhattan, but I couldn't find any pictures of Superman with blue and red skin and no outfit, and I'm not a great artist to draw this up, so I apologize. But I was just curious if this sounds like a good idea for a costume redesign or if it's just a silly thought.
TL:DR. Superman doesn't change into his outfit anymore, but instead changes his skin color to match the red and blue color scheme while his chest bones form the shape of the S, they glow golden-yellow in color, and his cape grows out of him or just appears.

I just hit 30 and it's amazing that I ended 2023 with a bang. Got to visit four different countries with my girlfriend of two years, left my toxic freelance job, and we also moved into a 120 sqm bungalow for cheap.
But as life has reminded time and time again with its brasch lessons - I am now faced with the enigma of me settling down abruptly, getting comfortable, and escaping what it has now set out for me to resolve.
I am exasperated. For me, hitting your 30s is basically just the same as hitting your 20s but with much fewer HP. As I learn to live and love my girl more and more each day, I often space out and become restless knowing that I wasn't ready for any of this.
You see, I gave into a girl who was broken for the longest time. During the episodes wherein she had to mourn and agonize for her misfortunes in life, she would bring me fastfood and sleep over my then apartment. Eventually, she confessed to me first and said that she never wanted to leave my side. Looking back, I was definitely soft but I was thinking I was ready for it - so the title of "boyfriend" was bestowed on me when she needed an answer.
The honeymoon period has long passed and we find ourselves knowing each other so well, that some minuscule things become huge deals but it happens the other way around as well. Though we grow so much from learning about each other, there are things about her that I definitely find difficult to back her up with. And it's not her fault for sure, but knowing this makes me feel like I shouldn't have been the one who consoled her in the first place.
I made a rash and dangerous choice - and now I'm robbed of valuable time with friends and family because she would have qualms with me spending time with them. I feel anxious dealing with my hobbies because as I become more invested on them, she would pick that I would lose time for her. Her anxieties and extreme fits would absolutely mean 3 to 4 hours of my time. Every honest-to-goodness important female in my life, my mom included, would be her enemy. Every guy friend I spend time with would make her feel like I am up to a ploy to cheat on her through them. It has gotten to a point that I would be a weekly cycle of me consoling her, arguing with her, begging her and even making love to her madly after exhausting exchanges. I feel like she's messed me up to a molecular level and I couldn't escape. Today I tried to insinuate that I am so tired of this and I am ready to deal with my fourth possible breakup, but we talked things out and made confusing love again thereafter. I didn't eat anything today and I pretended that it was because I'm trying out this obtuse fast I found on the internet.
On top of that salad, I also find myself working at a job that has seized to grow and is waiting to rot. They've lost interest in anybody's ideas and diabolically haven't been keeping true to their word - yesterday I found out that they weren't paying any of my government dues on time and I trusted on the fact that these were being paid quarterly. I have to deal with this mess too.
So how am I coping up you might wonder? The answer is I've given up. I have seized to see anybody outside of this house, abused a bunch of substances, pretended to be okay in front of socials, and I went back to playing video games mindlessly with the hopes of getting a dopamine spike or two. i even spent a good chunk of my savings trying to get a rare costume for the game im playing.
I understand that I am in a place where I shouldn't be comfortable with but I don't have the mind and energy to face anything. I am so lost but I don't feel desperate enough to ask for immediate help. This is my personal prayer to whoever is holding all of us in custody.

I've been working on a playthrough of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, but after some laptop troubles I've lost my progress. I know exactly where I left off, right at the clock tower in Neverland, and still needed to complete Halloween Town.
I found out about Kingdom Save Editor which looks like it should be able to let me forge my save file to be back where I was, my only problem is that I'm not sure what level / items everyone in my party had at the time. Any ideas what kind of gear and stats would be appropriate for that point in the game?
I don't care about perfectly recreating the save I just want to avoid needing to replay essentially 75% of the game to get back to where I was.

So a small hot take on some of the rumours ive seen about Ryan Coogler directing the X-Men for the MCU... I dont like it. Not that hes a bad director! Well, some of his films i like some i dont. BP 1 and Creed 1 were good. But BP2 was so boring. But besides that, i dont think his style would work well in order to differentiate the X-Men from the foxverse or any other Marvel movie like i think xmen should have.
It needs its own X-MEN type of identity to stand out and be unique - like their suits! How when xmen really kicked off is when everyone started getting unique and identifiable costumes, visually i think the reboot should follow that same idea.

Playing around with a second character and wanted the opposite of glass cannon commando, so I'm going for a beefy PA heavy build. This is what I've come up with so far. A breakdown of thoughts below

Obviously this whole build plan assumes grolls and a ton of levels, and I already have some idea of build priority and milestones on the way there, I just want to make sure my big picture plan looks good. I know there's also some adjustments I can make to maximize damage even further, but I wanted full health durability for facetanking events.

Just something I was pondering the other day after having a discussion with a co-worker about minimalism. She had no idea that I consider myself a minimalist because I am always the most fashionable person in the office. I broke down my wardrobe to her and she was stunned at how it worked and how she had never noticed the "repetition" before. My co-worker had the stereotype of minimalists in her head: that we all strive to own as little as humanly possible and that we wear super plain things like jeans and black t-shirts as our daily uniform. So, just curious about other minimalists who love fashion of some form and how you do it! I'll outline my system below now for those curious! It's long to type out, but was actually pretty quick conversation over lunch in person!

Basically, besides socks/bras/underwear here is what I own:

1. Leggings. I have about 12 pairs of leggings that are either capris or full-length and basic neutrals like black, grey, and brown. I have 2 pair of fleece-lined ones for winter and separate workout leggings. I buy these new and from two different brands I really like. Replace as needed.
   
2. Dresses. I have about 20-25 dresses at any given moment and they are all simple, classic cuts (t-shirt, a-line, sundress etc.) with a few sweater dresses and maxi dresses. I don't buy "themed" dresses, such as prints that are very obviously Christmas or Halloween. I stick to neutral solid colors and basic patterns like stripes and polka dots, as well as small non-flashy florals. Most of these dresses are thrifted and I enjoy the hunt for something. I do sometimes purchase new dresses but only if they are high quality, extremely versatile, look fantastic on me, and I can get them in several colors/patterns and just buy 4 versions of it in one go.
   
3. Cover-ups. This is where the "style" comes in. I have about 15-20 different coverups in different styles that are ALL thrifted. They consist of things like cardigans, blazers, vests, button-down shirts, and light jackets. These are all pretty neutral as well but I love finding pieces with a little flair to them. Like, I have 2 denim vests, one that is just a plain, simple vest and one that has fun embroidered daisy patches on it.
   
4. Shoes. I pretty much only ever have 9 pairs of shoes. 2 pair of sneakers, 2 pairs of sandals, 2 fashion boots (ankle/riding), 2 ballet flats, and 1 pair of work boots. These are all new and slightly higher quality and I rarely have to replace one, besides the pair or sneakers and boots that I work out/hike in and thus get worn down more quickly.
   
5. Accessories. I have a small collection of scarves, jewelry, purses, belts, and a few odds and ends like that.
   

The only pants I own are a pair of hiking pants and a pair of work overalls! I do have in one part of my sock drawer two hiking t-shirts, a swimsuit, and sleeping shorts/sweats. That's it.
ALL of this fits in one 4 drawer dresser and 1 standard size hanging clothes rack, taking up maybe one quarter of my walk-in closet. Yes, including the accessories. Most of the closet is just storage for the seasonal things like our small boxes of holiday décor, our snowshoes, and the cushions for our patio furniture. There are two whole shelves just empty in there.
Now, the fashionable part is that because all my clothes are mainly neutrals or very subtle little extras, they all mix and match, and I can throw an accessory on to completely change the feel of the outfit. The day my co-worker and I were talking about fashion and minimalism I was wearing a plain black sundress with a plain denim vest, plain blue sandals, and a summery scarf tied in my hair. I told her this was the same dress I wore to the big fancy fundraising dinner last November, but I paired it with a black blazer, my black riding boots, black leggings, and a simple pearl necklace/earring set. I also worse this dress/boot/legging combo to our Christmas party too, I just switched the blazer for a red cardigan and threw on a white scarf and snowflake earrings. She was flabbergasted and she swore she'd never seen this dress on me before. But I literally wear this dress all the time. I've repaired the straps on it twice and the hem once, it's that old and loved. I love taking the same core pieces and mixing & matching them in creative ways to create whole new looks. I've worn the same dress three times in one week and gotten compliments on my outfit from the same people telling me I always look so put together. People think I must own a whole closet full of clothes and spend tons of money, but I don't. It's just strategy! _________________________________________________________

I can't seem to get into any shows I've been watching lately i have dropped(fringe, justified, the shield, the originals, 12 monkeys) all in one month i desperately need a show i could binge My favourite shows are Lost Twin peaks Succession( i really really loved this one) BoJack the horseman Fleabag Buffy the vampire slayer Friday night lights The sopranos The boys Bcs It's always sunny in Philadelphia I don't care about the genre The most important part for me is the characters and their dynamics and their developments throughout the show I'd really appreciate if you could recommend me some tv shows
