Hi, I'm totally new to actually posting but after perusing all the posts with similar issues, I still didn't seem to find a solution so thought I'd try here. I'm able to create the table Parts_Maintenance just fine, and I use VehicleID as the primary key. But when importing it errors and says 'duplicate records'. Someone said not using '/r' works, but the problem is it's a jumbled mess. I also opened the csv and noticed that there are duplicate records since the vehicle got serviced for a flat tire twice in the same year, so the record is identical to the other, so a composite key of several columns wouldn't work either.

Ah, yes. Haven't we all been captivated by the ecstasy of our initial First or Business class flight, booked with miles saving thousands over the listed cash price of the ticket, sipping on that pre-departure champagne, stretching our legs, and [wishing we could be] thinking: "This is awesome! I'm never going back to flying Economy again!"
Honestly, unless you're rich enough to pay for First/Biz at the listed prices going forward, I would highly recommend against this mindset.
After flying nearly every First Class product that it's possible to book with miles and over half the business class ones, I'd call myself a points & miles expert. However, I still fly economy (and premium economy) plenty, and it's very much a core part of my points & miles strategy. Here's why I think it should never be dismissed.

1. Holidays and Summer trips. Some airlines block space entirely during this season in premium cabins, making competition for the remaining seats vicious. However, it's the longest stretch most ppl can travel for each year, meaning in economy you're suffering less compared to the trip duration. I was lucky enough to get 3 Starlux Biz tickets for the initial 60k Alaska miles each leaving Taipei on 12/30, but we couldn't fly there until 12/21. We flew economy seated together on the way there on a 14-hour daytime flight, fell asleep easily after landing, and switched over the TZ immediately. The additional help of business class would've been minimal in this case.
   
2. Fixed dates/airports. Your options will be limited, and you'll be more impacted by individual price fluctuations for those options since it'd be harder to choose another airline or routing if your preferred one goes up in cost. During low season you can try the backup plan approach, but as most seats are released fairly last minute, you may need to wait for awards to be available in both directions before cancelling your backup.
   
3. Traveling with family (or friends) who have limited patience for "repositioning". I've flown to Honolulu in order to fly ANA's "flying Honu", Muscat for Oman Air First Class, home from Atlanta after the only KoreanAir First Class award I could find was ICN => ATL... and out of Chicago O'Hare more times than I'd care to admit b/c I find it usually has the best award availability in the USA. However, trying these new airlines and products are less important to my family who would rather not go further than the drive to LAX for repositioning. The only exception was positioning to London (and home from Doha) to fly the Etihad A380 Apartments, for 65k Aeroplan miles each. It was the best flight of all our lives, but they agreed it was a one-time thing and didn't want to go out of their way to fly any other airline product going forward. Of course I'm going to respect those wishes when traveling with them.
   
4. Traveling with friends even on separate flights. They are generally not going to want to go out of their way to accommodate your special First or Business class flight, in terms of starting the trip a day early/late, waiting for you to arrive in the destination city for certain activities, being willing to switch plans for you to snatch last-minute awards, etc... unless you find an award for the exact date/route or arrive early and leave late and make sure syncing up is your, and not their, responsibility, I would prioritize the friends and fly together in economy if need be.
   
5. Mid-Level Airline Status makes economy MUCH more bearable. (And premium economy, too!). Flying 40k elite miles for Turkish Airlines *A Gold for 2 years, or OneWorld Sapphire or Emerald status will make a huge difference in your flying experience anyway. Often you get a free bag and seat selection, sometimes to the exit row or bulkhead. You still get food, still get to watch movies, and if the food is objectionable and/or you want to drink, the mid-tier status will get you lounge access beforehand where you can do that. Priority check-in lines and phone service have helped massively with IRROPS or cutting it close at the airport. I can achieve Turkish *A Gold for ~$3k every 2 years and Alaska 75k MVP for ~$5k each year (altho I may drop the latter from 2025), and it's made a massive improvement in my everyday flying experience.
   
6. Mileage programs, and award availability, will continue to deteriorate as more people learn to utilize their points effectively for premium cabins. Ask anyone who's been in this space even since 2021 and they'll likely moan about how much more specific the availability windows are, how much harder it is to book seats on the most popular airlines, or how their favorite sweet spots have more than doubled in price. With MileagePlus looking like a Skymiles clone and AA eventually on the way (the naysayers know and are afraid of when it's coming...), it will be harder to get the requisite points and award availability every time, for every group of people we want to travel with. Flying economy (with premium economy becoming a good compromise!) every once in awhile on the less painful daytime flights will remind you that you should not forsake that trip you've wanted to do, with the only hitch preventing you being that you'd rather not fly anything other than lie-flat business class.
   

TL;DR: I would discourage people in this space from swearing off economy ever again. Unless you're rich and/or a content creator that has [seemingly] infinite points due to affiliate credit card referral links and "business" spend (or just pays for the flights w/ cash while pretending to their "followers" that they use miles). Then idk LOL

The West is stomping around, bragging that "we've really pissed Putin off. Well... no. " It isn't that we've merely pissed them off- that implies a certain emotionalism or recklessness.
The Russians are far more cerebral than that. They're chess players. By comparison, Americans are playing tiddlywinks and throwing temper tantrums. What else do you call the antics of lawmakers like MTG?!
They've been watching America's habitual belligerence around the world for decades and they understand that when the American military industrial complex wants to pump up profits, they have to pick a fight. The fight has to be big enough to credibly scare the average American sitting in his easy chair, swilling beer and cussing at the tube, otherwise they don't get extra appropriations and their stock price doesn't go up. But it can't be TOO big, because then the hardware they built might be exposed as the fucking garbage that it is because it was designed to make defense industry profits rather than win wars.
Now, America has decided that, because Russia won't kiss the ring, trade in dollars, let American private equity buy up all of its useful assets or ship resources to the US for pennies on the dollar, that they're the "bad guys" and we need to "teach them a lesson."
Ukraine is a long standing project of the above kind of subjugation, the final step of which is to make them a NATO member so we can force them to go into crushing debt to buy billions of dollars worth of hot garbage from American defense contractors, just like we've done to the rest of Europe. Well, Russia has been very clear, again for decades, that they're not having it. They want a buffer between the kids table and themselves in case the little brats start throwing food and missiles - they want some distance between NATO and Moscow.
America is the ultimate spoiled rotten bully and you know how such impulsive thugs get when someone tells them, "no!" And so sure as hell, when all the children on Capitol Hill start screaming and yelling about how Russia is "the enemy" and start the same bullshit escalation ladder of rhetoric and sanctions that we've done a hundred times before against everyone from Iraq to Venezuela, Russia is paying attention. They have to; they're tiny compared to America in terms of population, GDP and manufacturing output. Ultimately, this posturing by America often leads to war. Again, America spends YEARS doing this so that canny leaders can see it coming. It's really, really stupid if you think about it.
So the United States fomented a coup in Ukraine in 2014 after other efforts to control the country had failed. Russia, the chess players that they are, saw this move coming a mile away and executed plans to protect their naval base in Crimea, to bring the ethnic Russian majority population under the protection of Russia, and even to build an engineering marvel called the Kursk Bridge so they could link it by road and railway to Russia.
The Ukrainians, now firmly under the control of Washington, started shelling, bombing and simply murdering ethnic Russians throughout the eastern part of the country. Russia tried everything to bring this under control, even signing the Minsk I and II Accords to bring peace and stability to the region. They were disrespected at every turn.
That's when Putin said enough was enough and they invaded Ukraine. The point was to clear out the Banderist thugs committing the ethnic cleansing against the ethnic Russian locals and to demilitarize Ukraine but the West kept pouring money and weapons into the country and now it's become the mess we see today.
For America in particular and more generally for their vassal States in Europe, this is just another square on the geostrategic playing field; they want Ukraine and by God, they're gonna have it- but it's on the far side of the planet from home. By contrast, the war is happening on Russia's front porch and so Russia sees this as an existential threat.
Let me say that again; the Russians see this as a threat to their homeland, ESPECIALLY now that Western backed forces are tossing missiles into Russia itself and we're placing nuclear capable missiles in eastern Europe. Remember how the US freaked out over nuclear capable missiles in Cuba? We damn near started WWIII. Well, now we're putting the Russians in the same position and telling the world that they're the belligerent ones. That might fly at cocktail parties in DC, London or Paris but Russia isn't playing games.
And now, here we are. French President Macaroni is planning to send troops to Ukraine. The United States is planning to send advanced weapons that the Ukrainians cannot operate themselves, so American soldiers will be in theater, operating those systems. The rest of the NATO alliance has already thrown their stockpile of reserve, cast off and obsolete arms at Ukraine, only to see it all trashed in short order- or sold on into the international arms black market.
The Russians have been warning the West that they WILL NOT tolerate a Ukraine under Western control, packed with NATO military hardware, a short jaunt from Moscow. They've been saying that for DECADES. The children on Capitol Hill hear only the defense industry lobbyists because that's who keeps them in their seats in Congress.
The Russians are winning the war in Ukraine and it would be long over if Ukraine hadn't gotten all that "help" from the West. They know that will not sit well with the United States and they want to make sure the spoiled brats in Washington understand that They. Are. Not. Playing. Russia has the largest nuclear weapons stockpile on the planet, the freshest fleet of ballistic missile submarines, nuclear capable hypersonic missiles and they will use them if push comes to shove.
But how do you demonstrate to the United States that you mean business without actually launching the nukes?
If you're not deeply, deeply concerned about where things are heading then it's probably only because no one laid it out for you like I just did.

"The spread of an avian flu virus in cattle has again brought public health attention to the potential for a global pandemic. Fighting it would depend, for now, on 1940s technology that makes vaccines from hens’ eggs.
Even a peep of news about a new flu pandemic is enough to set scientists clucking about eggs.
They worried about them in 2005, and in 2009, and they’re worrying now. That’s because millions of fertilized hen eggs are still the main ingredient in making vaccines that, hopefully, will protect people against the outbreak of a new flu strain.
“It’s almost comical to be using a 1940s technology for a 21st century pandemic,” said Rick Bright, who led the Health and Human Services Department’s Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) during the Trump administration.
It’s not so funny, he said, when the currently stockpiled formulation against the H5N1 bird flu virus requires two shots and a whopping 90 micrograms of antigen, yet provides just middling immunity. “For the U.S. alone, it would take hens laying 900,000 eggs every single day for nine months,” Bright said.
And that’s only if the chickens don’t get infected.
The spread of an avian flu virus has decimated flocks of birds (and killed barn cats and other mammals). Cattle in at least nine states and at least three people in the U.S. have been infected. A man's death in Mexico was caused by a strain of bird flu never before found in a human, officials said Wednesday.
It's enough to bring public health attention again to the potential for a global pandemic.
As of May 30, the only confirmed human cases of infection in the U.S. were dairy workers in Texas and Michigan, who experienced eye irritation. Two quickly recovered, while the third developed respiratory symptoms and was being treated with an antiviral drug at home. The virus’s spread into multiple species over a vast geographic area, however, raises the threat that further mutations could create a virus that spreads from human to human through airborne transmission.
If they do, prevention starts with the egg.
To make raw material for an influenza vaccine, virus is grown in millions of fertilized eggs. Sometimes it doesn’t grow well, or it mutates to a degree that the vaccine product stimulates antibodies that don’t neutralize the virus — or the wild virus mutates to an extent that the vaccine doesn’t work against it. And there’s always the frightening prospect that wild birds could carry the virus into the henhouses needed in vaccine production.
“Once those roosters and hens go down, you have no vaccine,” Bright said.
Since 2009, when an H1N1 swine flu pandemic swept around the world before vaccine production could get off the ground, researchers and governments have been looking for alternatives. Billions of dollars have been invested into vaccines produced in mammalian and insect cell lines that don’t pose the same risks as egg-based shots.
“Everyone knows the cell-based vaccines are better, more immunogenic, and offer better production,” said Amesh Adalja, an infectious disease specialist at Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Health Security. “But they are handicapped because of the clout of egg-based manufacturing.”
The companies that make the cell-based influenza vaccines, CSL Seqirus and Sanofi, also have billions invested in egg-based production lines that they aren’t eager to replace. And it’s hard to blame them, said Nicole Lurie, HHS’ assistant secretary for preparedness and response under President Barack Obama who is now an executive director of CEPI, the global epidemic-fighting nonprofit.
“Most vaccine companies that responded to an epidemic — Ebola, Zika, COVID — ended up losing a lot of money on it,” Lurie said.
Exceptions were the mRNA vaccines created for COVID, although even Pfizer and Moderna have had to destroy hundreds of millions of doses of unwanted vaccine as public interest waned.
Pfizer and Moderna are testing seasonal influenza vaccines made with mRNA, and the government is soliciting bids for mRNA pandemic flu vaccines, said David Boucher, director of infectious disease preparedness at HHS’ Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response.
Bright, whose agency invested a billion dollars in a cell-based flu vaccine factory in Holly Springs, North Carolina, said there’s “no way in hell we can fight an H5N1 pandemic with an egg-based vaccine.” But for now, there’s little choice.
BARDA has stockpiled hundreds of thousands of doses of an H5N1-strain vaccine that stimulates the creation of antibodies that appear to neutralize the virus now circulating. It could produce millions more doses of the vaccine within weeks and up to 100 million doses in five months, Boucher told KFF Health News.
But the vaccines currently in the national stockpile are not a perfect match for the strain in question. Even with two shots containing six times as much vaccine substance as typical flu shots, the stockpiled vaccines were only partly effective against strains of the virus that circulated when those vaccines were made, Adalja said.
However, BARDA is currently supporting two clinical trials with a candidate vaccine virus that “is a good match for what we’ve found in cows,” Boucher said.
Flu vaccine makers are just starting to prepare this fall’s shots but, eventually, the federal government could request production be switched to a pandemic-targeted strain.
“We don’t have the capacity to do both,” Adalja said.
For now, ASPR has a stockpile of bulk pandemic vaccine and has identified manufacturing sites where 4.8 million doses could be bottled and finished without stopping production of seasonal flu vaccine, ASPR chief Dawn O’Connell said on May 22. U.S. officials began trying to diversify away from egg-based vaccines in 2005, when avian flu first gripped the world, and with added vigor after the 2009 fiasco. But “with the resources we have available, we get the best bang for our buck and best value to U.S. taxpayers when we leverage the seasonal infrastructure, and that’s still mostly egg-based,” Boucher said.
Flu vaccine companies “have a system that works well right now to accomplish their objectives in manufacturing the seasonal vaccine,” he said. And without a financial incentive, “we are going to be here with eggs for a while, I think.”

So I was out with a buddy at one of those small town China buffets and he got a fortune cookie without any paper fortune in it. And I went home and made this. While listening to the album Wasteland to Wonderland by Paddy and the Rats.
It takes place in a world where science and magic coexist. Poorly. (Think S.T.A.L.K.E.R. but with wizards) The city and the countryside are ruled by a being known as the fateweaver. She rules with an iron fist, her command over sorcery absolute. Deep within the city her scientists are working on something. Something insidious. One of these decides that they wont be a part of it anymore. They are exiled from the city with a terrible curse and nowhere to go. There are rumors however of another sorcerer, who lives in an old estate far on the other side of the wastelands.
Bereft of any other ideas, they go. Ready to challenge fate.

I was driving down the coast roads in a long silver convertible. I think it was a thunderbird like from that Marc Cohn song.
I had the top down and the radio on. The sea breeze was tossing my hair just so and I had that lovely salty fresh taste in my mouth. You have no idea how much I long to return to the coast. To feel that breeze for real just one more time.
The sun was going down and the sky was a million radiant colors. Just exploding up from the ocean. I had my arm draped around the shoulder of some lounge singer. It was one of the nicest dreams I’ve had in a long long time.
And right in the middle of it, as my favorite song came on over the radio and that good looking singer started to sing along to it, so softly I could barely even hear. I leaned in for the kiss and what happened instead?
I woke up- alerted to a trespasser into my little sanctum. My hair is a mess and my mouth tastes like morning breath. And instead of some gorgeous singer, I get to spend this cloudy damp little night with you.
So you can see how I might be a little unamused right now. Clearly you’re not going to take the off ramp I so generously provided to you so explain why you’re here. It had better be a really good reason.

My estate is built around the well of eternity. It is the bedrock of everything I am. The little seed that became the core of my power, and the link that became the chains that bind me. I wasn't always what I am now. I used to be a dental hygienist, but I had a curse of my own I needed to break. I’ll spare you the gritty details but it led me here from my home dimension.
A great man once compared the world to an optometrist trapped on a rail car with one little hole in the wall. Forced to watch the world pass by but being unable to see where the train was going or where it had been, only where it was at that moment.
That is what it is to be bound by fate, but what if I told you there was a way out of the boxcar?

I'm currently at home in the USA but my family will go to China soon. We will need to access our USA financial institutions for trading and such while we're in China, and we're a bit paranoid about using well-known paid VPNs for our financial transactions.
I'm a Linux and networking newbie, but was wondering how feasible is it to buy a Raspberry Pi and run that off of our home internet here in USA as a VPN server to reliably and securely bypass the GFW.
That way we can directly connect into our home network in the USA and access our financial institutions from there.
Has anyone managed to do it here? What's your configuration like?

I (fm72) retired from my full time job at 65, later on I found a part-time job which I worked until my 70th birthday when I quit working outside the home. As my husband (M72) was still working at that the time I first retired I continued to do most of the house work with the exception of cooking most meals (he likes to cook but didn't clean up, I did as a tradeoff). He had planned to retire at 70 but continued to work 60 hours a week on his job until this past January when he officially retired at 72. We had planned to use our 70s as a time to travel so I was happy he finally decided it was time. In the two years that I have not worked I have found a volunteer that absolutely love and with his retirement I choose to work more hours (at most 20 hours a week).
Here is the issue, now that he is retired I had no problem during the first 4 months when he did whatever he wanted to do as he had worked for over 50 years we had agreed that he had the 4 months before looking at the HoneyDo list I had for him. However, he still expects me to do all of the work (except cooking) that I did before he retired; basically everything else cleaning, yard work, laundry shopping etc. He just sits around reading or watching TV and has not looked into finding some outside volunteer work which he agreed to do. When I complained to him he said that I should reduce my hours at my volunteer job if things weren't getting done.
I put my foot down saying now he has had his 4 month staycation he has to do more around the house, not all of it just more like cleaning up after himself, doing some yard work and not expecting me to all like I did before. He has also shown no interest in finding a volunteer job. And complains when I work at my volunteer job because he thinks I should be home doing the work I did before as that should come before volunteer work. Something I refuse to do.
I am also refusing to clean up his cooking messes or dishes he uses during the day.., I even go paper plates that only I use (I hid them so he can't use them too) as he creates so much mess in the kitchen when I am gone. He can't even remember to turn on the rumba during the day. This is putting a strain on our plans to travel as he also expects me to plan and prepare for that too and to be honest I am not sure I want to travel with someone who does nothing to help but complains when they aren't up his standards.
So AITAH for not reducing my volunteer hours to pick up the slack at home to make him happy?

TL;DR, looking for a multi-computer setup that can reduce the number of things I have to click and switch and change etc to go between two monitors to get 4k@120Hz on the primary display, 2 computers (ideally a third), plus several USB 3.0 devices that are saturating the USB bus. The DP KVMs I'm finding would need bidirectional DP<->HDMI cables.
Hardware:

• Work machine: 2022-ish Macbook Pro M2, has HDMI out, 3 USB-C style ports (probably Thunderbolt); I'll likely pick up a docking hub to handle the displays etc to go to a single plug on the laptop.
• Home PC: Windows, RTX 4090 with one HDMI, 3 DP ports, plenty of USB-C/USB-A ports
• Linux workstation (doesn't HAVE to be on a KVM but would be nice) with an RTX 3090 but only the two HDMI ports work, DP ports do not work at all; also lots of USB-A ports, also have a USB-C card installed
• Main monitor is an LG C2 42" 4k TV at 120Hz, 4 HDMI ports
• Second monitor is a Samsung G5 1440 monitor with HDMI or DP, vertically mounted, and manually switching the displays is a PITA
• Bluetooth Logitech keyboard and mouse that can each switch to 3 computers

Hardware I'd like to use on both Mac and PC:

• RODE RodeCaster Duo Streaming Mixer, USB 3.0
• Elgato Facecam Pro, USB 3.0
• Elgato prompter, USB 3.0
• a few Stream Deck units that I can chain through a hub that, again I'd like to be on both Mac and PC but not vital, I'd like at least my StreamDeck XL to be on both, USB 3.0

The main problem I've been having is that USB hubs with 3.0 hardware seem "saturated" with the camera and prompter together (especially when the prompter is in display/screen mode instead of teleprompter mode) and things get jittery, people tell me my camera pauses/freezes, or my Rode audio cuts out. So I'm willing to get a USB 3.1 or 3.2 "switch" between the Mac and PC.
I change between the work machine and personal machine maybe 2 or 3 times per day (personal stuff before I start my work day, maybe switch back at lunch for browsing, 3D printing), then again after hours for more 3D printing, design, maybe some gaming, etc.
To switch from one machine to the other:
I tap one key on my keyboard, and tap a button on the bottom of my mouse a few times to cycle through to the right computer.
The LG TV video input can be switched via TV remote.
The Samsung monitor input can be changed manually but it's a hassle when the monitor is vertical and the menu doesn't rotate)
I'd love to find a KVM that offered the following:

• 2 computers at minimum, ideally 3 or 4 PCs
• dual monitor mode: 4k @ 120Hz HDMI to the TV, and 1440 @ 60Hz or better on the Samsung either DP or HDMI, preferably all HDMI
• USB 3.2 bus for more bandwidth

I'm finding a lot of KVMs that offer dual monitor mode that use two HDMI ports, but limit 4k to 60Hz. I found a 2-PC dual monitor KVM on Amazon that did 4k@120Hz but one of the HDMI ports was bad so one computer had a badly flickering screen so I returned it. I'm not confident that getting a replacement will be any better.
KVMs that offer 4k at are more than 60Hz are tending to be DisplayPort based, but most DP->HDMI cables I'm finding are uni-directional so going from the computers to the KVM won't go from HDMI out on the computer to DP in.
I'm fine buying a KVM that only does DP, but then I could use some help sourcing the right kinds of cables to convert everything to HDMI (or, for the mac, converting to Thunderbolt).
Budget: I'd like to stay under $500 all-in including the KVM and cables.
I also considered just getting a single display KVM for the Samsung monitor, but then I'm still switching the TV display AND a USB switch AND a KVM switch AND the keyboard switch AND the mouse switch...

In need of advice and perspective
Hello fellow Dads,
I’m coming to you at my lowest and could really use some outside help. My partner (Sammy) and I have been together for over seven years with two children, and earlier today I walked away from her and said I wanted a separation…. So, let’s dig in.
Since our children were born I have been the primary breadwinner. Sammy and I have the same job, but after getting pregnant with our first she dropped her hours to per diem. The thought process was I would work while she stayed home to avoid daycare costs. I began travel nursing during this time to make up the difference in income.
Our first was difficult. Very colicky, tongue and lip tie, boob aversive. Feeds would sometimes take two hours just to get a few oz in her. It was hell on both of us but we got through it. Like any couple with a newborn we had our share of struggles, but we worked as a team.
When our firstborn was nearing two my wife expressed that she wanted a second. I wasn’t for it, and wanted more time. We needed to pad our finances and we wanted a house. My wife fought me on this daily, and it led us to therapy where I thought she saw my point of view. We agreed to start talking about trying in April. In March we had sex and she would get off when I said I was close to finishing. I yelled at her to get off and she held herself down. She laughed after the fact.
My son was born 9 months later. We weren’t ready for this, or better yet I wasn’t. He was just as hard as my daughter, but now there was an active toddler in the house. Our relationship has been deteriorating since then (shocker), but I stayed with her and tried to make it work.
Since then we’ve had so many arguments about how we raise the kids. Every step of the way I felt like I was told what I was doing wrong. I pushed every time I felt like she was being unfair, but she wouldn’t listen. It was only when she’d leave to her sisters for advice that she’d come back and apologize.
This brings us to our most recent troubles and the thing that pushed me to walk away. We’re in the process of buying a house. She has been absent for nearly the entire process. She doesn’t know a single person we’re talking to besides the realtor. She checks out whenever I bring up all the stress I have surrounding it, to the point where I don’t think she has any idea of what’s currently going on.
I’ve been struggling a lot recently. I have talked to her so many times about these struggles and nothing is done to change things.
I asked that she work a day shift because nights fucks our schedule (I worked nights until she requested I change with the birth of our son). She told me no, she doesn’t want to miss the kids for a day. (But I have to???)
I requested that she be more involved with the house. The more I talk about what needs doing the more she puts her focus on the kids.
I requested that she help pack the apartment since I’m doing everything with the house. She’s done nothing but ask me what to pack.
It came to a head last night. I begged her to switch shifts, to work two days a week me with bills because I have to dip into the savings we built for the house. I begged her to be more involved. She gave me excuse after excuse. I’m ashamed to admit that I was sobbing while begging her, but nothing came about.
This morning at 5 I told her I needed to either go to my parents or a hospital because I was having suicidal ideations. The stress of everything is to much and for a brief moment I wanted it to stop. Mom’s amazing and made me see the bigger picture. ….but I told her what I was going through. She hugged me and asked me to take the stroller out of the car… I wanted to ask for a divorce then and there.
A few hours later I came back and requested the separation. I’m ready to walk from the house even though I’ll lose thousands.
I’m sorry if this post is all over the place. I’m a mess right now.

Where should I look for a salary increase?
Hey there, pretty simple question. I work as a benefits claims examiner for one of the big Canadian insurance companies.
I don't have post secondary education, and am making approximately $43,000 (pre tax)before a yearly performance based bonus.
They give yearly raises in any current role for about ten years in which case you'd need a promotion to be eligible for more raises.
There's a pension plan, and stock match to a certain percentage of your salary. At my salary if I spend $2000 on stock I get another $1000 from the company.
I get to wfh 4 out of 5 days of the week, and live close to the office, which is nice.
All in all it's a pretty good gig, that being said I'd like to increase my yearly take home so I can invest more. Any ideas on positions, jobs, or companies I can use my health insurance experience to leverage into?

Around 2.5/3 months ago I started to have some odd symptoms happening to me out of know where and that i had never experienced before. I started to get sporadic uncontrollable shaking/jerking that would last 30 seconds to a minute or two. I would also get tingly feelings on the right side of my body. Also, a few times, when I would have conversations with people I would be unable to speak and start to collapse. I was aware/awake for this, however I wouldn’t be able to control my legs and would have to sit down and ride it out for a minute or two until I would completely be able to start speaking normal again like nothing ever happened. After about 4 days of this happening, I scheduled an appt with my family doctor… I have been anemic and thought it may have something to do with it. She said these symptoms didn’t, she did a quick neurological assessment on me where everything looked fine. She said it was weird and that we would keep an eye on thjs for a week or two and to come back and see her if it persisted. After that appt it got worse 3 days later as the full body collapses happened twice in one morning so I went to ER. Doctor did full blood tests and extended and everything came back normal. Did neurological assessment , everything normal. Asked about stress , I told him I’m a stay at home mom with two kids and in the middle of a house renovation but nothing crazy and he agreed this probably isn’t stress caused. ER doctor Talked to the neurologist who said these were seizures and to also do a CT scan just incase. ER doctor told me CT scan was precautionary and they probably wouldn’t find anything. After 9 hours at ER, they found a 15mm by 14mm pineal gland cyst that was slightly to the right of my brain. Doctor told me he spoke with neurosurgeon and that it looked benign… I asked if this had anything to do with my seizures and symtoms and he said no. These findings just happen and not to worry and I should hear from the neurologist and neurosurgeon within a few weeks and that I was also going to be scheduled for MRI and also an EEG. I ended up doing the EEG within the following week. I received the results on my health app, they came back that I had ‘no seizure activity’. I was expecting to hear from the neurologist to go over these results and called the office after a week but was told it must not be urgent and that my family doctor can go over results. It had been about 4 weeks at this point,since I started having symptoms , and 2.5 weeks since I had visit the ER. The symptoms were still happening everyday during all this as I’m patiently waiting to hear from someone, anyone!!! I should mention I’m in Canada so things definitely take slower. I also never mentioned that I am extremely , extremely sleepy. I sleep for at least 8-10 hours nightly, wake by 7am get my kids ready for school and home with my littlest and feeling tired late morning again. I have been taking a nap daily around 1pm when my son naps, I try to do 20-40 minutes so I don’t feel too groggy when I awake but sometimes I’m so tired I just keep sleeping until he wakes. I have tried to skip this nap but by 3/4pm I’m so so tired I cannot function. Again I will feel tired after dinner or around 6:30pm and fall asleep on the couch sometimes for 30 minute Power Nap while my husband helps with the kids or if not I will fall asleep putting my kids to bed. It has now been almost 3 months since this has started happening, I am still having symptoms, this is NOT my normal, I feel so so so tired, I have bad brain fog, I am still having seizures, they don’t happen everyday and some of them are worse than others, where I have a headache after and bad eye pain, all on the right side of my face. I have scheduled visits with my family doctor who is concerned but can’t really help, she says I need to see the neurologist. She called and spoke to the neurologist personally who said he will try to expedite the file but will still be a month-2 month wait. He also told my doctor that it does NOT have to do with my 1.5 cm pineal gland cyst and that I should try to relax as much as I could. I am disappointed as he hasn’t even seen me yet or any of the videos of my symptoms and seizures and he probably thinks it’s anxiety due to my eeg coming back normal. I have also visit the ER again but nothing they could do. I still haven’t heard back about an MRI either. Is there anyone who has any insight what this could be? Friends and family are shocked and when I try to have conversation, I’m not myself, I will be talking notmal then all of a sudden my speech will become slow and I can’t really communicate what I need to say or loose my train of thought for 30 seconds until I come out of it again. I have a hard time recalling names or places and I have my eyes half closed when speaking. When I get sleepy before naps, I will sometimes completely shut my eyes and fall asleep sitting up.
I’m sorry this is long, I think I tried to explain the most I could. Any doctors or neurologist that have any insight? Please! I really don’t feel well and am worried about my health but unfortunately with the Canadian system there is nothing I can do :(

Pre-warning: this post is for battery nerds only. I appreciate not everyone cares about this stuff...but I do, so if you don't, then don't hate on it.
I'm one of those battery nerds who has researched the crap out of how to keep a battery healthy for an extended period of time. I'm going to be very conservative and say that my A55 is capable of doing 400 full charge cycles. That is, charge to 100% and drain back down to 0%
So I decided to work on this premise some more. 400 charge cycle = 400 days. Which equates to just over 1 year 1 month of usage before the battery would be around 80% battery health and battery life would begin to suffer.
With this in mind, I decided firstly, I would charge my phone when it hits 20% and stop at 80% (Samsung has built in battery protection, the 'Maximum' setting to stop at 80%). I've set the phone up to notify me when it hits 20%. Perfect. This is a charge cycle of approx 0.30% (so lets say 3 days = 1 full charge cycle). So 6 days in a week, would be the equivalent of 2 full charge cycles so far.
Ok, so now, if I fully charge the phone up to 100% once every 2 weeks, that means the phone is getting 1 full charge cycle every 2 weeks (in addition to the 2 full charge cycles I mentioned in the previous paragraph).
So:
week 1: 2 charge cycles
week 2: 3 charge cycles
week 3: 2 charge cycles
week 4: 3 charge cycles
so over the course of 1 month, the phone gets approx 10 charge cycles instead of 30, therefore increasing the battery life 3x. So 1 year 1 month now becomes 3 years 3 months using this method. (Please note: these figures are VERY rough, but good enough for what I want to do).
So I've created a couple of routines on the phone that work with my Google-Home smart plug:
Routine 1: turn off fast charge (to force phone to slow charge)
Routine 2: turn on "basic" charge protection (allows phone to charge to 100%, rather than 80% on maximum)
Routine 3: charge for 30 mins, stop charge for 5 mins (repeat x5 for a total of 2 hours 30 mins slow charging time and a total run time of 2 hours 55 mins. This is for the charging to 100% once every 2 weeks)
Routine 4: charge for 30 mins, stop charge for 5 mins (repeat x3 - this is a total charge time of 1 hour 30 mins on a slow charge, which is enough to take it from 20% to 80%)
Note: in case you're wondering why I charge in 30 min bursts, it's because I am keeping any heat build-up as minimal as possible. Heat is what kills batteries. So by giving it a 5 min break, it just ensures that the phone isn't getting hot at any point during the charging, which should also help battery life.
It probably sounds a little more complicated than it really is. All I actually do, now the routines are set up, is: when the phone hits 20%, plug it in and run routine 4 everyday BUT when I hit 20%, run routine 3 once every 2 weeks.
Maybe you guys want to give this method a go.

Weaknesses:

I linked a video I took of the behavior. I'm not sure I can explain it correctly, but here's what I see. The build plate drops to home, then moves up, pauses, then moves back down but not far enough to be in the "printing area" (however you put it). The light fires for what should be the first lay, but the build plate is nowhere near in position. It's crazy and it started happening recently, but I'm pretty sure it's happened several times I'm just finally going crazy trying to figure it out because it results (obviously) in failed prints.
Weirdly it doesn't happen on every print. I use Lychee and UVtools and I don't think I'm doing anything crazy weird.
Anyone got any ideas?
