2024.05.16 23:06 StopChristieLove69 Trying to Find an Inc3l Husband Part 2: Electric Boogaloo

Context and More Context
1) I wanted to title this "What I learned in boating school is..." really badly. I may still do it. If its titled like that, just know, Satan won this round.
2) Incels are not very good with common sense. Do you have any idea how bad at common sense you have to be for a cult follower to tell you you're bad at it? Example- some of them genuinely believe that I made my posts as "research" for a "study". This is laughably stupid considering that I literally posted everything I was doing, saying and learning in plain sight. I've written several research reports and contributed to many studies (a lot of ppl think I didnt go to school bc of the cult. We still went to school, guys. I have a Masters degree). If I ever tried to present my Reddit activity as a source, my professor would rightfully kick my teeth in. No one cares enough to "study" you guys anymore. Incels are kinda....played out. Its all about the manosphere guys now.
3) Speaking of manosphere, I've learned that they are better people than incels. Dont get me wrong, they will not see the light of heaven either, but at least they have some balls. I guess I'd rather misogyny with some backbone than misogyny that whimpers, simps, begs and cries all day idk.
4) I won't call you guys out but YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, about half of the guys bitching in my comments were also in my DMs trying to "get to know me" and "giving me the benefit of the doubt to see if I'm real". Some of them, ESPECIALLY ONE OF YOU, literally commented something negative under my post after I didnt respond to him. A lot of you are fake as fuck and it's hilarious to watch you put on a show in the comments then immediately apologize in the DMs.
5) Incels believe that they should get attention from women despite hating women and being ugly. I can not figure out this logic. Like, dude, what are the positive traits? Give me one good reason why anyone should like you. If you can't, then why are you mad? We hate you for the same reason you hate yourself. Seems fair to me but idk
6) I wont get into the details outside of the above context, but listening to a bunch of guys tell me how easy my life mustve been simply because I was born a women has been.....enlightening. Buddy, I witnessed my 10 year old baby brother shoot himself in the head when I was 12, but nevermind all that. You're two inches shorter than average height. That's the real struggle.
7) As to Mr. CHARMING from the first post. He isnt. But thats okay. I found something even better than a charming man😋 iykyk
8) In a suprise twist, this post made its way out of the incel loser community and I woke up to a startling number of DMs from non-incels (men and women) asking me to stop interacting with you guys. I've learned that Im actually a total catch. The cult was very traditional in its values so I was raised to be basically a trad wife. My desire to serve and be submissive is a highly desired trait (like wayyyy more highly desired than I thought). I also thought my general cluelessness about the outside world would hold me back (which is why I was looking for incels that also were shut off from society). Turns out, even thats not really a problem. Apparently, they think it's cute. I know most of them are just trying to get something from me, but I figure, if all men really are just users and manipulative liars, I'm at least going to be with one thats being nice to me. The incels are not nice to me. The Chads are very nice to me. Turns out, Im a "high-value woman". Who knew?
9) To sum it all up, I thought incels wanted to get a gf, so I came here to be a gf. I learned that they dont actually want gfs. This is about performative self-pitying - not actual pain or societal issues. I know some of you idiots will say that the responses I got were because they think Im a troll, but I addressed that point already. Never got an answer on it either. Wonder why?
10) To all the incels that bitch and moan about how girls only want "Chads". This is how you create that type of girl. The incels dont want to change. They want to reinforce their own worldview. Well, here ya go. I'm never giving an inc a chance again. Youll die alone while Im out here dodging dick like it's a bullet in The Matrix. It took 72 hours with you guys to learn how awful you are. 25 years in a cult somehow didnt make me hate ugly guys, yet 3 fucking days with you guys did the trick. Absolutely incredible.
Please feel free to seethe in the comments below. I dont care and your anger fuels me. I spent most of my morning laughing my ass off in a group chat of real men at the stupid shit yall say. So please leave a comment. Bitching and moaning seems to be your favorite activity. I gave you a chance to do that. Youre welcome!đŸ„°đŸ„°đŸ„°
Ps-dont do it iykyk

2024.05.16 22:39 lennonkova Kim K is probably plotting the downfall of "Traylor" for revenge.

Kim K. is fresh off the latest season of American Horror Story, created by Ryan Murphy. Mr. Murphy seems to fancy Kim, offering her a starring role in his new legal drama show. They like working together so much, she agreed right away to star and Hulu green lit the show almost immediately due to the recent successes of The Kardashians and AHS: Delicate on the platform.
Ryan Murphy has always had a real taste for Hollywood drama. I mean, he has been up for awards numerous times for his show Feud, which is all about famous women duking it out. He eats it up, Kim and Taylor are most likely his modern day Bette and Joan in his head. After Taylor Swift released her album and fans quickly realized "ThanK you aIMee" was about Hulus darling Kimmy, it became headlines quick. Real quick. Now, Kimberly will always clap back, she always has and she always will (such normal behavior for a 43 year old mother of four)
Murphy, creator of new show "Grotesquerie", has recently asked Travis Kelce, out of the blue mind you, a professional football player with no acting experience, to have a starring role in this show. Weird right? Even Travis was "Shocked" he was just given this role. “It’s been so much fun,” the three-time Super Bowl champion said. “Ryan Murphy is [an] unbelievable writer, director, producer, all of the above, man. He’s just — there’s nothing he can’t do and everybody’s just been so helpful in making me feel comfortable.”
I believe, new besties Kimberly and Murphy, conspired together for a little mean girl pop culture payback. Murphy gets the viewership from having Travis on his show and KK gets the enjoyment of watching the couples downfall when Taylor gets the absolute ICK from him liking the attention a little too much, Taylor could handle the podcast, she could handle the sponsorships and brand deals, what she can not handle probably, is the goddamn acting career. You can almost see his ego inflating in real time. This is not what she signed up for.
This could be the reach of all reaches, but, its just my opinion. I give their relationship until the week before the "Grotesquerie" red carpet premiere.

2024.05.16 22:28 saksnoot How’d I do? (West Coast US to Aus/Fiji on Fiji Airways with Qantas domestic, mostly J)

First time booking an award itinerary this complex on one ticket, so looking for feedback on this itinerary.
Basically, I booked for next April West Coast US to Sydney via Fiji (3 hour layover), some Australia domestic flights, and then back to the West Coast US with a 4 day layover in Fiji. All business except 3 legs (2-3 hour each) in economy. Cost was 200k avios (transferred MR and UR) per person.
Specific flights: LAX-Fiji J (Fiji Air) Fiji-Sydney J (Fiji Air) Sydney-Uluru Y (Qantas) Cairns-Brisbane J (Qantas) Brisbane-Fiji Y (Fiji Air) Fiji-SFO J (Fiji Air)
I’ll be watching to see if the Y legs get J availability, and I need to book Uluru-Cairns and SFO-LAX separately. I estimate total cost will be 212k points and $500 a person on airfare for this trip.
I’m pretty happy with the flights but I’m wondering if anyone thinks I could have been smarter about this.

2024.05.16 22:10 lov3lyem last meet before NC

I’ve realized I want/need to go no contact with my mom.
My mom was really terrible to me and all of my siblings when we were all under her roof. there were 7 of us so we all got abused differently, whatever her different supply was we all represented it differently, I had two siblings who were badly abused physically mentally everything were told how awful they were daily, I had two siblings that were never looked at and my mom just didn’t care what they did and didn’t really care (she always didn’t care but this was in a don’t care about what I can’t see) my older sister took a mother role and she was a terrible mom, probably because she was 12 taking on those roles. then there was me and another sister, she used us emotionally, we were her therapist, her maid, her caregiver, the dumpster for her problems, we’ve all been guiltripped, gaslighted, and emotionally abused from the time I remember, have of my childhood is blocked out.
ever since we all moved out she switched up her tactics. now she’s mr nice guy, ‘validating’ our feelings and telling us she’s going to therapy even though I know she isn’t she’s just reciting everything she sees online. Facebook phd. she’s been nice the last couple years and claims she’s changing, but then she has moments where u can see the mask peel a little, like when we were in a fight and she was calm and then my phone died and after it was charged and I went to call her back she was texting me threatening to send a well fare check and that if I ever block her again she will come to my house herself and not leave till it’s resolved, (which honestly triggered me because when I was a kid she used to lock me in my room and stand in front of the door not letting me leave until she got the resolution she wanted) I stayed complacent my childhood and early teenage years. It was easier to just agree and cry later then fight her on it because I saw where that got my other siblings.
I always feel terrible about how my siblings had it and my siblings have said I had it way better than they did, and they’re right but aren’t we all suffering from the same hand?
anyways my moms in town this week to go bowling with our family, and I’m coming and it’s the last time I see her before no contact. I’m not telling her I’m going no contact, cause then she can get closure, she doesn’t deserve that after the things she’s done, she doesn’t get to be at peace with her abuse. I’m scared. I’m really scared for how she’ll respond or if I’m doing the wrong thing but I realized that when people talk to me and I always question the truth, or when people say something and I always am watching their face trying to find out what they’re feeling, how they’re feeling, and how it can be my fault I realized I’m analyzing my mom in ever person I meet, I’m tired of questioning my reality because she made me think I was crazy, im tired of questioning my friends and my girlfriend all because my mom instilled in me that people can say things they don’t mean, or change their mind and everything you do and say is fine one second and then they’re yelling at u for it the next.
she’s layed down the egg shells in all of my relationships I just never knew because she did it before I got there.
I’m tired. and if I keep her in my life theres no way I can heal, properly at least, im always having guards up and I want to exhale now.
What do I do for bowling? Be quiet? Act like nothing happened? Idk

Drew Gulak and Alpha Academy w/ Maxxine Dupri vs Legado Del Fantasma w/ Elektra Lopez
This match is a very chaotic match so like the Women's Tag Qualifiers I decided to just give it a basic description. This takes Otis’ attention for one second and the Los Lotharios take advantage with double chopblocks. The rest of Alpha Academy meet them on the ramp as LDF watches the chaos in awe.
This segment takes 5 minutes (0:20 left of show time)

He turns around and goes for the cannonball but Drew moves out of the way just in the nick of time! Drew connects with a Claymore going for the pin. KO kicks out at 2. Drew gets in the referee's face and asks him why it wasn't a 3. KO takes advantage pushing Drew into the referee knocking the referee out. KO then hits Drew with the Stunner followed by a Powerbomb. KO goes for the pin but Drew kicks out at 2.. Not that the referee was up anyway. KO climbs the turnbuckle and goes for a frog splash. Drew rolls out of the way and connects with a second claymore as the referee gets to his feet. Drew goes for the pin but KO kicks out at 2 and a half. Drew hits the ground in frustration, confused how it wasnt a 3. Drew lifts KO up for a Futureshock when KO reverses into a stunner. KO then lifts Drew up but his knee gives out and Drew lands in front of him connecting with a Glasgow Kiss followed by a Futureshock DDT going for the pin. KO kicks out at 2 and 3/4 and Drew goes absolutely crazy dropping back into the corner and connecting with another Claymore. Drew isn't done as he drops into the corner a second time hitting yet another Claymore. Drew doesn't care as he drops into the corner for a third time and begins counting down from 3. KO gets to his feet and hits a pop up powerbomb out of nowhere going for the pin. 2 masked men jump the barricade with “3MB” shirts on and pull the referee out of the ring. KO gets the 3 before he realizes the referee is gone. The 2 men remove their masks and climb onto the apron on both sides, thus revealing themselves to be Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal! The crowd pops as Drew’s buddies enter the ring and go after KO. At first KO does alright but then the Numbers Game catches up to him when Drew gets involved. Drew drops into the corner and begins counting down from 3 as Jinder and Heath force the referee up and toss him into the ring. Drew connects with the Claymore for a 6th time in this match going for the pin. This time Kevin cannot answer the 3 count! Jinder and Heath join Drew in the ring as 3MB celebrate together!
This match takes 20 minutes (Show Finish)

I just became a moderator for the game Mr. Miner Escape. This is not my first time moderating but the fastest gameplay I've ever seen. I can't tell if this video is sped up or if the player just got good at this game in a matter of days.

2024.05.16 20:06 penguin055 [TOMT][SONG][80s] Popular New Wave/Synthpop song that sounds like Jaloux by Vive La Fete

Here's the song that reminded me of it (very similar chord progression and vocal melody) and here's a little recreation I made of what I can remember of the song I'm looking for (the electric piano would be the vocal line which runs throughout but I only remember that one snippet). I remember it has a male vocalist with I think a more robotic/unusual delivery (maybe kinda like Devo?). Similar artists/songs that come to mind are Soft Cell and Mr. Roboto by Styx. I believe this song was pretty well-known and commonly used in movies/shows of its time or that want to evoke an 80s feel.

2024.05.16 20:01 EstherHazy Mission Impossible - Tom Cruise

So I hadn’t seen a Mission Impossible movie before I went to the movie theatre and saw Dead Reckoning. The action scenes had me sitting on the edge of my seat. Loved it. The acting however and more specific Tom Cruise/Ethan Hunt is so pompous and cringe at time I have a hard time watching. Saw the first movie yesterday, I thought he acted really well, no cringe moments. I’m almost done with MI2 and this seems to be where the cringy moments start. Again, the action scenes are amazing but jesus christ Mr. Cruise is so full of himself it’s almost unbearable to watch. Are the rest of the movies as bad when it comes to cringy Cruise?

2024.05.16 19:57 ButtonMashKingz Xiaoyu: Content Creators

I'm making a list of content creators who main Xiaoyu and provide guides. The Idea is for this thread to be an encyclopedia of Xiaoyu knowledge!
Below is a list of creators and what their content is like: _________________________________________________________________________________________________
YouTuber who posts long guides about how to play Xiaoyu and do her combos + uploads his own fights. Most famous Xiaoyu player.
YouTuber who makes character specific guides on how Xiaoyu can evade, punish and beat every character in the game.
YouTuber who does long videos about Xiaoyu combos, frame traps, punishes etc.
Twitter user who discovers and posts optimal Xiaoyu combos.
This person doesn't upload guides, they only post their fights. I'm adding them to the list because some people might find it helpful to watch their fights. They will be the only exception to the rule, everyone else must create guides. _________________________________________________________________________________________________
Please comment any creators I'm not aware of and I will add them to the thread.
They must main Xiaoyu and make helpful videos!

So went to help him with my fellow nekros. And needed other resources so I spent the whole day helping him. I decided to friend and told him to contact me when he needs help. So he has. I had some prime sets I didn't need so I ended up giving him the sets. He now mr 19 in 4 weeks building and learning everything himself now. Not only that me as a lazy player. He pushed me to grind more too and now he's coaching me with things I didn't know. He told me he's not gonna stop till L4 so I'm here to watch him and join him. 2024.05.16 19:02 Calm_Extreme1532 I Watched The Second Episode of Mr. Birchum So You Wouldn’t Have To (Review/Summary)

I Watched The Second Episode of Mr. Birchum So You Wouldn’t Have To (Review/Summary)
I’m back to give another episode summary for this. If you’re curious as to what this is or want a refresher, go check out the review I did of the first episode by searching it in the search bar.
The episode opens with Birchum and his other Navy veteran friends preparing for Veteran’s Day by planning to have a big feast by going to various restaurants and taking advantage of their free food deals for veterans. Besides Gage, we are introduced to two new characters named Kwon and Reyes.
I saw a lot of people saying that Gage was simply added in the show to be the token black guy because conservatives are self-conscious at being called racist, which I thought was dumb because the guy who voices him is a good friend of Adam Carolla’s and probably has the role set for him for a while. But this friend group is just blatant ‘look at how not racist I am’ tokenization. You have one white guy, one black guy, one Asian guy, and one Hispanic guy who the show makes a point to tell you is gay for the purpose of Birchum saying that he doesn’t care that he’s gay.
I am not denying that you can be non-white or gay and be conservative. I myself started a conservative student organization chapter at my college and we had members ranging from black, Indian, and Puerto Rican with some gay and bisexual members too. Yet at the same time, we never felt the need to make props out of our members because that would be no different from promoting the very same identity politics we were against. You can absolutely depict a racially diverse conservative friend group, but here it just feels so manufactured and fake. It reeks of approval seeking to the same liberals that the show creators claim they couldn’t care less about, but you can tell they very much do in fact want their validation.
It’s the exact same forced diversity put into mainstream movies and shows, and even DW viewers acknowledge it. https://twitter.com/red_yokes/status/1790073054594249054?t=TP-Pqkm4MaH7zUR7VdQTgQ&s=19
Jeanie comes in wanting to be included, but Birchum tells her that she has to go to school to learn about multiplication, geography, and how she’s racist. Then she responds by saying that she “can’t wait to grow up and kill enemies of democracy” like her dad. Her exact words.
While Birchum and his friends are planning their restaurant crawl, Wendi is planning a spa day with the other wives where they hope that they don’t get too drunk. There’s then a cutaway flashback where Gage slaps a statue of a mascot like how Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at The Oscars, even telling it to keep his wife’s name out of its damn mouth. I guess the joke is that it’s a celebrity reference and that both Gage and Will Smith are black. Real cutting edge stuff here.
Back at the school, Karponzi the DEI guy comes into the principal’s office looking to implement hijabs as school uniforms to avoid misgendering. She’s not there though, so he just sits at her desk and pretends to be the principal while taking selfies. That’s all that happens.
The first stop for the guys is a restaurant for pancakes and they run into their rival Army group led by a guy named Gunderson who along with the rest of his friends are just reskins of Birchum and his friends. They get into an argument over whether the Navy or Army are better, and try to beat them to the other restaurants as a sort of race. The Army guys have a lead over them because they have an extra stomach in the form of a butch lesbian, which doesn’t really make sense to me considering that having an extra person should slow them down as that means having an additional person to wait for. It’s never really explained what the deals at the restaurants actually are though.
They run into the principal of the school Birchum and Gage works at who confronts them for skipping school and leaving their classes unattended, where it’s shown that Birchum left his student aide to teach and that Gage just left a cardboard cut out of him. As Birchum and Gage prepare to get chewed out, the principal confronts a guy pretending to be a veteran to get free meals, revealing that she was in the Navy too. She then joins up with Birchum and his crew.
At the spa, Wendi and Gage’s wife Dina have friction when it’s revealed that Dina blew off Wendi’s Obama fundraiser. Dina turns it around on Wendi for assuming that she supported Obama simply because she’s black and that she uses her as a shield for racism accusations.
Back at the school, Karponzi discovers that Birchum and Gage are missing from their classes but finds them hanging out with the principal on social media, and comes to the conclusion that she was kidnapped by them.
Wendi and Dina then get increasingly drunk and into arguments over politics, with Dina saying that Wendi only voted for Obama because of white guilt. I personally wasn’t a fan of the Obama presidency by any means, but even I find this to be such a laughably uncharitable view to the people who voted for him. Could his supporters have just bought into his policy proposals thinking that they would accomplish things for the common good? Nope, they all secretly knew that his policies were trash but voted for him anyways because he was black.
Back on the restaurant crawl, the crew are bonding with the principal while getting increasingly drunk, and Karponzi discovers them after checking their social media posts. Birchum and the others make it to their last stop at a tavern, but find that the Army guys are there too. The bouncer tells them that only one table is available, so the two groups decide to challenge each other for it over a food fight, with the losers being banned from competing in every Veteran’s Day restaurant crawl going forward.
Back at the spa, Wendi and Dina are still arguing but which annoys the Vietnamese masseuses so much that they call them a bunch of stuck-up bitches for arguing about politics on their day off and that they take being Americans for granted.
Birchum and the rest of the Navy guys completely dominate the Army guys in the food fight by ambushing them in the parking lot, and the episode ends with Birchum inviting the Army guys to join them because despite being from different military branches, both of the groups still served. Karponzi shows up to the bar asking the principal if she needs saving, and she tells him to go away because she’s partying with real warriors, not social justice warriors. There’s a montage of them having fun, and then the episode ends.
I’m only on the second episode and I’m questioning as to who this show is supposed to appeal towards. It’s marketed to appeal to conservatives, but the politics aren't even conservative, it's just the main character whining and being a dick. It makes it seem like being conservative isn't really a political stance, it's just being a dick, so there's an antagonistic liberal put in so we have a straw-man idea of liberalism to compare this character that’s supposed to be a voice of reason to.
I might just be repeating my Family Guy being more edgy despite being made by liberals point in my last post about this show, but it’s ironic how a character like Ron Swanson (a libertarian character created by neolibs on a safe network comedy years ago) is more offensive and more charismatic than Birchum, because he is treated as a character instead of a vehicle made to launder political messaging through.
I’ve softened on Karponzi as a character somewhat. The concept of a DEI hire deluding himself into thinking that he’s improving his workplace while really making it worse sounds like a good concept to a character, but he’s completely wasted here. I don’t even understand why he was included in this episode because he does absolutely nothing.
And of course there’s obviously still an issue of quality of jokes and pacing.
I’ve found a way to watch all of these episodes online for free, so I guess I’ll be posting reviews about the episodes as it goes on while I’m bored.

2024.05.16 18:51 ParticularlyAvocado The Batman Reviewed: Season 1 - 2

1. The Bat in the Belfry - 3/5 (In terms of a Batman introduction episode, this does a decent job. It skips the origin story because superhero cartoons are allergic to them for some reason. But this at least vaguely alludes to Bruce's parents being gone, on top of introducing the struggle of being both a famous playboy and the Batman. As a result, the story is fairly generic though. Joker wants to release a laughing gas across Gotham. Gee, I haven't seen that one a dozen times. That said, this iteration of Joker has a really unique and wacky design. Along with zany acrobatic moves that are fun to watch and a great performance from Kevin Michael Richardson, it more than makes up for the subpar story. I also liked the side focus on Bennett and Fa Mulan- Sorry, Detective Yin. They're fun characters.)
2. Call of the Cobblepot - 3/5 (Penguin is quite acrobatic for a pudgy little guy. Alongside Rupert Thorne doing parkour in the previous episode, it seems the show wants to sell me on the idea that these chubby guys are just as combat capable as the Batman. And did they really have to give him the Danny DeVito hands? That's not a mandate anymore! I liked Alfred getting involved in this episode, though he doesn't really do much besides go to the Cobblepot manor. But it's funny that he does so in search of a tray.)
3. Traction - 4/5 (Colorful iteration of Bane. Why is his skin all red? He looks like a monster. But it's a cool twist on the character, so whatever. Although his motivations don't match up to the rad design, since after getting paid to destroy the Batman, all he wants to do is "take over Gotham", which he apparently thinks will be accomplished by just wreaking havoc. What is this, The Spectacular Spider-Man? I did like Alfred having to come and rescue Bruce, and the cute flashback where Alfred comforts him.)
4. The Cat and the Bat - 3/5 (This one's good, but mostly for the action setpieces. I think the rugged artstyle lends itself very well to snappy action, particularly the final scene with the Batman and Catwoman against the Yakuza. And the stuff before with Batman having to catch up to Selina messing with his Batmobile controls was neat too. But I can't say Catwoman leaves much of an impression on me in this one.)
5. The Man Who Would Be Bat - 4/5 (Kirk Langstrom as a character works pretty well as a kooky old man. I liked the visuals for his echolocation. As for the actual story...I mean it's just a typical Man-Bat story. Langstrom becomes the Man-Bat and goes crazy, so Batman stops him. But I did like the larger inclusion of Bennett and Yin, as I like their additions in this show as foils-yet-vaguely-allies to Batman.)
6. The Big Chill - 3/5 (So in this show Mr. Freeze is just another generic jewel thief. Not that I want this series to just copy paste Batman: The Animated Series, but simplifying the villains like this makes it less compelling by default. In fact here, he was always a criminal, he just happened to get ice powers. That said, his design is actually quite rad, and I did like the addition that he has a vendetta against the Batman. Plus it's funny that he took revenge on a random hobo, just for being in his way a few years ago.)
7. The Big Heat - 4/5 (Gee, I bet the writers thought they were hilarious putting these two titles next to each other. I'd say what this episode does slightly better than the others is showing the "struggle" of balancing the Bruce life with the Batman life. And actually giving the villain a narrative connection to it, instead of his schemes just serving as a vague lesson to learn. Firefly himself had a pretty cool looking suit, and the sky action was pretty nifty. Plus it was cathartic when Batman took him down to ground level and stomped. Nitpick: They forgot to animate Batman's mouth in the reflection of the puddle. I hope somebody got fired for that blunder.)
8. Q&A - 4/5 (Bruce listening to hiphop in his earbuds at a classical music theatre... Yeah this sure is a unique Batman. This is the first episode where I was genuinely interested in the story and villain. For starters, since they didn't immediately show me who it was, I got to remain curious about the kidnappings. Then I appreciated that they were connected to a personal vendetta rather than just wanting to steal jewels. I think Batman discovered the mystery a bit too quickly though. He didn't research the victims connections, he just clicked a button and the Batwave did it for him. But I enjoyed Cluemaster. Funny design. He's HUGE. I chuckled at Batman casually walking into his his moms house and her thinking she's his friend. And I thought it was fun how he defeated Cluemaster by asking the Batman's identity. Side note, that is an enormous basement.)
9. The Big Dummy - 4/5 (Wow, it's Homer Simpson! Well actually, Scarface sounds more like Krusty the Clown when he's yelling. That aside, we're back to villains just wanting to steal stuff for profit. Yeah, sure, whatever. Scarface trying to slap Batman was funny, though. And I found the idea of making him a huge puppet where Wesker himself takes the puppet position by the giant arm a funny twist on the character. The vague subplot about Bruce having a date with some Becky chick feels kind of tacked on and unnecessary, but I digress.)
10. Topsy Turvy - 4/5 (First "villain comes back for revenge" episode. Joker's plan is unfortunately fairly generic, but his zaniness still makes it fun. Not to mention seeing the Batman locked in an Arkham cell and dressing up as Joker. Why did Batman lock in the guard when leaving though? Rude for no reason. Also, I'm glad the fake Joker in this episode had to stay quiet so he won't be found out, unlike in The New Batman Adventures where a goon dressed up as Joker can just perfectly imitate his voice.)
11. Bird of Prey - 4/5 (Okay, I'm just gonna say it: Stop showing front facing Alfred! Without that little patch of visible hair, he looks completely bald, and it's weird! That aside, I guess after the series of villain introduction episodes, it's time for a batch of sequels. This is the better sequel than the Joker one, since I liked that Penguin had a clear cut motive. And I can't believe I'm saying this, but Penguin's zaniness was more amusing. No doubt helped by Tom Kenny's performance. Him wreaking havoc around Wayne Manor and harassing Alfred was just funny. And it made Alfred hitting him with a chair in the end better. I thought his rooftop battle with the Batman was pretty creative, and I liked that Alfred dressed up as Batman to fool the journalist. Also how he intentionally kicked their video tape into the fire.)
12/13. The Rubber Face of Comedy/The Clayface of Tragedy - 4/5 (The cops literally have Joker at gunpoint but they let him proceed with his slow getaway. I'm starting to understand why Batman keeps one-upping them. Great two-parter though, but part 1 is really nothing but setup for the real meat which is part 2. Part 1 is just about Joker causing chaos again, except the tone is more dramatic on account of this being meant to be more serious than the average episode. And while Joker's antics are fun, given how little it had to do with part 2 other than him being the cause for Bennett becoming Clayface, they didn't really need to spend a WHOLE episode for just that setup. It results in part 1 being just good, while part 2 is fantastic. Sadly, combined, I can't give them 5/5. But part 2 gets that honorary score for itself. You could have cut Joker's generic havoc-wreaking in half and have the Clayface transformation start around the 10 minute mark of part 1, leaving you with about 30 minutes to develop it further. But then they couldn't have that cliffhanger, now could they?
As for the actual story... Depressing. I'd say it's a bit early to change the status quo of Bennett since while he is a good character, we haven't really seen MUCH of him, so it's not a huge blow to suddenly make him a villain. But it's a pretty good, genuinely saddening twist regardless. And while the emotional moments feel a little hurried (hence why you could have cut some Joker nonsense) I think they're effective enough. Yin crying, etc. And Bennett's transformation itself is genuinely horrifying stuff, so you really feel the fear he must be going through.)
14. The Cat, the Bat, and the Very Ugly - 3/5 (And now we're on villain team-up episodes. Except they're still just generic stories about them wanting to steal stuff! Well, okay, I guess Penguin DOES want to use the relics to... I don't know, blow stuff up? It just isn't very riveting is all. I do find Batman and Catwoman being stuck to each other interesting in theory, but they don't really do much fun with it. And why did Batman lie to Yin about it? I guess he's worried he'll look suspicious if he's with Catwoman, but also, he could have just told the truth? The lie just incriminated him more. I also question this because the episode ends with Yin TRUSTING Batman, which makes no sense if she literally caught him in a lie the FIRST time she called him about a case.)
15. Riddled - 3/5 (That's certainly a unique version of Riddler. I respect it, simply because it's fun that the show dares to completely revamp characters like this. But the episode itself is mostly just decent. Yin and Bats going across town solvring riddles is mildly fun, but the actual confrontation with Riddler is just okay. I did like the 20 questions game, but couldn't Batman easily get out of that by not answering? I found it funny how dense the Police Chief was to understand even the simplest riddles, especially with how bluntly Yin had to explain the last one. Side note: Riddler uses the term "brainiac" in this. But that term exists because of the Superman character. So has a Brianiac attack on Metropolis happened here and been made publicly known or what?)
16. Fire & Ice - 4/5 (Gee, with a title like that, I sure was scratching my head wondering which two villains it could be about. I'd say while this episode is good, it felt a bit thinly set up as nothing but "what if ice villain with fire villain??". I did find it amusing that they turned on each other near the end and the conflict just became Heat vs. Cold. That scene with Yin yapping about knowing Bruce's secret though... Give me a break. Even if they WERE gonna have her find out his secret identity, that's most certainly saved for a Serious:tm: season finale or something with heavy stakes, not a random Firefly episode.)
17. The Laughing Bat - 4/5 (Golden concept for an episode. Joker trying to imitate the Batman is unhinged and hilarious. And Penguin being caught in the crossfire completely discombobulated by the switcheroo was great. Praise aside, I was a little disappointed that Batman turning into Joker didn't go further than...he can't stop laughing. Couldn't have Joker-ified him any more? White skin? ANYTHING else to have him also vaguely look the part? Overall I also felt there was too much focus on Bruce laughing as opposed to Joker being the Batman, when that was the best part.)
18. Swamped - 3/5 (While I appreciate that this is a villain introduction episode that goes beyond them being a jewel thief", Croc wasn't too interesting. He wants to flood Gotham because he likes water, but then Batman stops him. Although I liked the way he did it by forcing him to stay in water. :ohgood: Also neat that this episode introduces the Batcave "museum". This series gradually introducing all of these iconic aspects of Batman lore as opposed to having it all pre-established is fun.)
19. Pets - 4/5 (Season 2 really IS the season of villain team-ups. I was rolling my eyes at the prospect of another generic Penguin episode of him wanting to steal stuff, but got my excitement back up when they showed Langstrom. Although they could have devoted some more time to Langstrom actually being aware of Penguin's scheme and wanting out instead of just... One. And overall, it IS just another episode where Penguin tries to steal stuff, so yeah.)
20. Meltdown - 4/5 (Wow, this was JUST like the Batman Beyond episode "Meltdown". While a good episode, I have to say the Bennett-Clayface conflict feels a bit forced at times. Him repeatedly getting into encounters with Joker, the very man who caused him to become Clayface, and struggling with not morphing to take his rightful revenge? Valid. Understandable. But him randomly being willing to kill Batman and become an outlaw on a whim? I don't know. His fight scene against Joker on stilts was pretty fun though. That said, Bennett is a good guy and all that, so I'm hopeful for a redemption arc where in the end he becomes a superhero with his powers.)
21. JTV - 4/5 (It's another Joker shenanigans episode. What is there to say? Not that that's a bad thing, since Joker shenanigans ARE fun. He concocts some nutty TV show-themed scheme, and then Batman stops him. Cash was a bit of an annoying inclusion though. Did he even serve any narrative purpose? I guess he vaguely emphasizes how well Yin and Batman work together, by him working badly with her. I did like the "animated" JTV promo. But who even made that? I guess one of Joker's henchmen can animate.)
22. Ragdolls to Riches - 4/5 (Oh boy, the umpteenth episode about a villain stealing some jewels. Wait, it's TWO villains this time. Wow, this changes everything! Jokes aside, it actually kind of does, because Ragdoll is entertaining enough on his own. His costume is cool and unique in its simplicity, and his distorting body leads to some very expressive movements and action which make for a fun watch. And if that wasn't enough, his rivarly with Catwoman and repeatedly trolling her on purpose was pretty darn amusing. Though despite being the titular character, the episode is mostly about the Bruce/Batman/Selina/Catwoman mystery. It is fun seeing the "4" of them interact and not realize who the other is. Especially when Batman, the world's greatest detective, believes Selina's blatant charity scam and hands her a huge check. It's funny seeing Bruce be this oblivious.)
23. The Butler Did It - 3/5 (Another flipping jewel thievery episode! At least there's a mystery element to it this time, in that you initially don't know who the villain is. And when you do find out it's Spellbinder, there's the twist that he swaps his mind control targets from butlers to their employers. And it was really fun to see Alfred be the one to figure this out and escape the room he put himself in to save Batman's ass. I liked the bit where Batman hesitated to punch Alfred. And I think some of the hallucinations were fairly creative. That said, it was still a jewel thievery episode! Get some new plots, show.)
24. Grundy's Night - 4/5 (While I did have thoughts on this version of Grundy, those feel irrelevant when it turns out he was just Clayface in disguise anyway. That said, props for making a twist I could genuinely not predict. However, the reason I couldn't have predicted this is because after all that development of Bennett and his descent into Clayface, I wouldn't have expected his next appearance to just be him doing something generically villainous that Batman must put a stop to. It comes off as a bit awkward, because you'd think this would be more emotionally significant considering he was Bruce's best friend. But not only do we not even see his Bennett form in this episode, Batman doesn't even refer to him as such, just "Clayface". And then he goes home all cheery as if he stopped any ol' twerp. Huh?)
25. Strange Minds - 4/5 (While this episode falls into "Joker shenanigans" territory again, at least the focus here is less about just stopping him and instead delving into his mind. It leads to the zaniness being cranked up more, which is fun to see especially with how expressive Joker is in this show. Although I feel like they could have been a bit more creative with the visuals. I liked the flying fish, Joker as the moon, and the normal Joker managing the idea vault. But other than that it doesn't get more wacky then just a crowd of Jokers. But I liked the solution of how Batman made him disclose the information by making him think they had exited his mind. Cliché, but clever. It's a bit weird how Hugo Strange spots Batman in Joker's mind and immediately assumes it's the actual guy, though. For all he knows that could have been mentally conjured up by Joker. Batman would likely be on his mind a lot. Also, Harley Yin.)
26. Night and the City - 4/5 (Woah, TRIPLE villain teamup? Daring today, are we? I liked that Penguin didn't even know who Riddler was. And despite that, he's clearly stomping both Penguin and Joker in this contest. He came up with the idea to catch Batman in the first place, had the most elaborate bat-bait AND was the last guy standing in a fight against him. Joker and Penguin just followed Batman and quickly fumbled. I guess with Commissioner Gordon and the Bat-Signal being introduced in this episode that this marks the end of Batman being an enemy of the GCPD. Not that I mind, since while I liked the development of it, with Bennett gone and Yin already on his side, there wasn't a lot further you could push it. It's a shame this is Yin's last appearance, though. I don't really understand why, since while she's fired in this episode (for like what, a few hours?), she gets the job back and everything goes back to normal. Frankly it would have been more interesting if she WAS fired and then became a vigilante herself/sidekick to Batman as referenced in this very episode.)
Movie: The Batman vs. Dracula - 3/5 (Starting the story with Joker and Penguin? Yeah, this is a The Batman movie alright. They really can't help but spam these two villains. That said, decent movie, but I'm really scratching my head as to why they thought Dracula was the ultimate villain they could utilize for it. There is some thematic connection with him being able to transform into a bat, obviously... But that's as deep as it goes. And the few bits of Bruce recalling the death of his parents was like, come on, you really felt a need to rely on that as a plotpoint in a movie about Dracula?
The film, much like the show, is fairly barebones. Dracula rises and wants to take over Gotham, so Batman must stop him. The side story of Bruce having a romance with Vickly Vale feels very tacked on and pointless since not only was she not much of an interesting character, just a dime a dozen love interest, but she doesn't even appear in the series going forward. So, what? Also, did Bruce really need to hastily steal someone's lipstick and a platter to write "Alucard" and mirror it to figure out it spells Dracula backwards? Just rearrange the letters in your head.
The most interesting thing about the movie is it gets slightly more visually grim. Stuff Penguin bleeding in the beginning alone was a surprise, as tame as it was, because that's not something I would have thought the censors would allow. Of course I quickly realized it was plot relevant, but then they immediately go on to show Dracula "killing" a guy. Which, while I know having finished the movie that he was cured, the way the scene initially portrays it is obviously supposed to make you think that's what happened. There's also Joker practically bathing in blood and Dracula literally being burned alive in the end. Sheesh. So much for Batman's code. Vampire Joker is probably the best part of this movie. That blood bank scene is really cursed [good thing], and KMR's performance of Joker starving while Batman has him locked up was great. I mean Batman having to feed Joker his own blood just so he doesn't starve is a fairly unique plotpoint. Also his reaction to being un-vampire'd is pretty funny. "Where's Dracula?" "I'm looking at him".)

2024.05.16 17:51 internalaudit168 Battery State of Health doesn't equal remaining battery life? True or False?

I stubled upon this video and the discussion among the speakers, especially Mr. Wu, is quite helpful and informative. Maybe there had been some inaccuracies mentioned like L3 charger cable cooling because from one of the comments, it's blanket Tesla SCN cables uses. Overall, I found most of the discussion centered on facts instead of make-believe FUD or hype.

Dr. Billy Wu: How Charging Routines affect Degradation Battery Podcast

My question is whether Mr. Wu correct in that SOH isn't always a good predictor of remaining battery life? From this subreddit, I always read about people posting SOH without regard to the reserve/buffer capacity.
Around the 25 minute mark:
batteries which are at 90% state of health. One battery because of how it's being used could uh degrade significantly or reach what we call its knee point in another 100 Cycles whereas the other one might have uh 500 Cycles before it's degraded so therefore those two batteries at 90% of state of health ...
Key take-aways for me:
