Pretty fun for a soulslike, having just come off of Lies of P I think the level of control you can have over your character's stats and numbers is very nice. Needs two more weapon types I think, if you arent giving weapons unique moves.

Mace needs more impact in the audio, or no ones going to use it, they are fun weapons but the sound is identical to the longsword despite being closer in usage to the greatsword, resulting in it feeling limp. No one who wants to swing a mace wants it to sound light and fast, especially when the movement is deliberate and slow.
LOVE the status effects, literally used that get someone else interested in the game, although the items that allow you to trigger the status's in yourself should be more common. Some players will want to build their entire character around being drunk or cursed for EVERY fight and they should be encouraged to do so. But especially for boss fights, only having 10 or so of the item to induce the status ailment directly makes it impossible to incorporate an item like this into a build. You have a unique mechanic where the player wants to give THEMSELVES status ailments but are limiting how often the player can do so.
There needs to be an option to organize weapons by type in the menu and dispose of duplicates. With this few number of differences between weapons, people will pick maybe 3/5 weapons total so not being able to sort is just a waste of time. As for duplicates...I dont even understand why the game would HAVE duplicates if there is no infusion system. Why do I have 14 Prior's Light? What on EARTH am I to do with them?
Beyond that, only other problem I can think of is that greatsword users jump attack works well on Vermilago but his shockwave attack cant be staggered out of with a greatsword, AND has a faster startup and activation than the jump attack. So you can jump attack him from his neutral stance, only for him to begin the shockwave AFTER you commit, resulting in unavoidable damage in many situations. That feels bad.
Besides that, very good game!

A few weeks ago I had status and was in an medically induced coma. After they woke me up I was confused, hallucinating and delirious.
I was hallucinating some really traumatising things such as being abused by nurses , being raped by nurses , being sexually assaulted by nurse , hallucinating a complete different in environment in a house when in fact I had been in the same room in the intensive care unit for three days.
None of what I hallucinated was real. Yet it felt like it was.
I described all my symptoms I am experiencing to a doctor and they said it sounds like PTSD.

Been working here for 4 years. Small, privately owned business in MA, USA. My boss doesn’t like me. I’m weird, neurodivergent, and can sometimes be annoying. She’s miserable, mean, and unapproachable. We have had an uncomfortable relationship from the beginning. I’m on delinquency status because I forgot about jury duty back in September. I got my delinquency notice back in April and rescheduled jury duty for Monday, May 20th. I notified my boss on Wednesday, May 8th. At that time, I also put in for Monday, June 10th off for some doctor’s appointments. She was verbally notified, she approved these dates, and I put the dates in the company calendar. The first jury duty date came and was dismissed. So I took that day off. Didn’t say anything to the boss.
Because of my delinquency status, I am not off the hook. A dismissal does not excuse me of my status. So I had to pick a date to come back again. I picked Monday, June 10th because I had already taken it off for my dentist appointment. I didn’t notify my boss because I’d already had the day off for my dentist appointment, and with how uncomfortable our relationship is, I didn’t think it was necessary. This past week, I reminded my boss of my upcoming day off. She says, “oh shit!” and asked if any of my other coworkers could cover for me, and if no one was available, she would have to change some things around. I asked all of coworkers. No one was available. I honestly was too afraid to say something about it to her in person on Friday. She’s very aggressive, I know I need to grow a backbone and she takes advantage of it when we are working alone together, as we were on Friday. I can barely speak with her without stuttering these days because she treats me like a total idiot. But I’m glad I didn’t say anything in person because I have her poor behavior in texts now. I texted her first thing Saturday morning, profusely apologizing and saying that I cannot come in Monday.
Me: Good morning (boss), (coworkers) got back to me and neither of them are available Monday. I'm really sorry to inconvenience you, but I can't reschedule this. I'll come into work as soon as I'm able. I'm sorry again for the misunderstanding.
Boss: No (me). I can't. It's not an option. You will have to reschedule.
Me: (Boss), unfortunately I am not able to reschedule. It's jury duty again, and l legally have to attend. I am sorry for the confusion, and will get a copy of my subpoena. The dental appointment I had originally put on the calendar had to be changed, and I apologize for not being clear about that. I also have a copy of those changes due to my jury duty issues. I wish I had clarified what was going on with my schedule and I am so sorry.
Boss: This all sounds like you are being dishonest to me. Unfortunately (me), if you don't show up for work tomorrow at your regular time I will be forced to make some changes.
Me: I know you don't think I'm being truthful. I don't have the option to not show up to court. I have all of the documents that clarify what happened after l'd failed to show up to my jury duty back in September, resulting in the subsequent mandatory appearances, and other appointments needing to be rearranged. I am not proud of any of this but I am legally bound to appear.
No answer from her until this morning, asking if I can come in on Tuesday instead. Tuesdays have been my day off for years because of my appointments. I had a few doctor’s appointments, but said yes out of fear of being penalized. I’m cancelling appointments on Tuesday that I’ve been waiting MONTHS for so I can hopefully not lose my job. Am I in the wrong? Is she allowed to punish me for this? We don’t have HR and I don’t feel safe talking about this with my coworkers about this. I appreciate any advice at all.

Hi everyone, I have received the German citizenship, waiting for my Ausweis and Reisepass. Here is a question: do I need to inform someone like work or insurance that my status has changed? If yes, who exactly? Thanks in advance!

It's unsettling, how suicides always ravaged my family. There's barely half of them still standing, compared to just ten years ago. They would always develop some form of suicidal ideation and eventually attempt to go through with it, which is insane to think about. But there was one case that stuck with me for the longest time. When the generation of my parents found their way from Vietnam to Europe most of them would sooner or later settle in Germany. But my aunt remained in the Czech Republic. I'd see her and my cousin occasionally at family reunions and I would always enjoy the time we spend together. From all the conservative asian parents, she was the one most level headed and calm.
Over the years we would lose contact with her, until my mom suddenly announced that we would be visiting her at her place in the outskirts of Prague. Appearently she has gone insane in the meantime and my mom worries about her safety and the safety of a pet bird and a litter of baby bunnies including their parents, that she adopted. I didn't think much of it at the time, instead choosing to be excited about the family trip and the baby bunnies, we would be taking over.
Man, she was in a rough state. She would become my first contact with a unmistakenly manic, openly paranoid and uncomfortably unpredictable person. One second she would be the softspoken and kind aunty, caring lovingly for her many pets and the next she would yell profanties at the TV, thinking the goverment is harassing her with covert messages. Going out with her would prove to be troublesome as she would go on unprovoked hysterias and pick (sometimes physical) fights with strangers, all the time.
In the following days I would come in contact with the embodiment of her delusion: A manifesto, spanning over more than 1000 loosely connected pages, of what she presumed to be worldchanging ideas. It would cover a wide range of financial, social and psychological concepts. The theories she would go on to illustrate would start of rather basic and harmless and would go on to become certifiably psychotic. One of the tamer examples: She would tackle the human energy crisis, by letting elephant circle a lake, to power generators. The fish inside the lake would be trained to spit water at the surrounding lands, watering plants, which in turn would feed the elephants. That self regenerating cycle would then logicially churn out infinite energy.
What I read was the chronological documentation of my aunts descent into madness. Her writings and drawings would evolve over time, adding more erratic and chaotic characteristics. What pained me, was a certain obsession with the concept of loneliness and how humanity has to come together to overcome our difficulties. Her lines conveyed her own struggles with abandonment, isolation and solitude in a touching way. It must have been a living hell for her and these ideas would serve as an escape from this cruel reality. Her mind flying off to a world, where humans would watch out for each other with not a single soul left behind.
She would see herself as a target of the goverments, since her revolutionary ideas posed a threat to the status quo. Seeing bugging devices, goverment officials and hitmen in trailing cars and around every corner.
We would take her back home to germany with us, but her mania drove her back to her place to finish her work and we couldn't stop her. Looking back, we shouldn't have let her go. Not at all. She posed a danger to herself and others, but vietnamese people don't deal with family issues by using outside force, like the police.
Last thing we heard of her, was her begging my cousin to forgive and come visit her, but she refused. I wasn't old enough to take action myself nor was I able to. I didn't have the required bond to her, for my words to carry weight and meaning and I was not the one able to heal the wounds inflicted by others. It's a sad reality, often times it's not enough to hear certain words, even if they're true. We need the right person to say them and that person might not be able or willing to say these things with sincerity.
Months later my other aunt would call us, voicing the suspicion that she has left this world voluntarily and she was right. She hung herself, found by her daughter, who went to check after being contacted by my other aunt, with the same message. I didn't attend the funeral, but appearently she was already deeply purple and bloated, so some time must have passed between the act and our discovery. I think about her alot and it even haunts my dreams, way more often than I'm comfortable with. A reoccuring nightmare, in which I would walk into our dark kitchen with her hanging from the ceiling and me having no arms to cut her loose and no mouth to scream.
Back in the day I could never imagine, how someone would go off the deep end in such a devastating fashion, but I would get these thoughts shoved right back into my face by karma. Mania would go on to ruin me and give me a taste of what she went through. We are both cut from the same cloth. The uncontrollable thoughts and ideas, blatant disregard for other people, the inability to see and assess the consequences of your actions and to show discernment. The need to voice and capture your insanity in an increasingly deranged manner. And most of all the brief respite, where you come to your senses, just for a moment and fully see the shattered remains of what used to be your life. The phase where you try to reconnect and make amends with the people you have wronged. My room is littered with unfinished thoughts, some of them catching mold from the tears.
It was too late, when my aunt regained her consciousness. The damage to her relationships was already done and she went too far down a path, where others couldn't follow and rescue her anymore. It's fascinating, how communication can break down to the point, where what we say doesn't even matter anymore. I wholeheartedly believe that her final attempt to reach out was genuine. That she felt true need for it but she couldn't make her change of heart believeable to the people, that mattered. Our frame around our words dictate the message.
I feel like I am at this point. I don't know if I'm coherent anymore and I can't voice my thoughts anywhere but here, where only strangers can read them. There is still many letters to be written, yet never to be sent. I still want my thoughts to have the space to exist, once I'm gone. They will serve as proof, that I felt, that I thought and I lived.
With my time running ever closer to an end, I wonder, if it would have been better for me to have died with my integrity and dignity still intact. To have finished life before I would've gotten more chances to ruin everything. One of the main reasons I deeply regret surviving my first attempt. Now I am left scrambling for answers: How can I leave this life behind, before I fully end up like her? How can I minimize the damage after my passing? How can I make people, that got to know me, forget I ever existed in the first place?
Will I find peace in my final moments or will I go, drowning in emotions like she did?
P.S. There was some good in there, too. I would end up raising two generations of baby bunnies, which I loved more than anything in this world. They would lead very comfortable, long and happy lives. I would come to them, when I was broken and cuddle them mercilessly. If I was to be reborn, I'd like to be a pet bunny to a lost teenager, with the same fondness for bunnies as me.​

Besides learning how highly decentralized political systems worked for centuries and at scale, you will learn about the emergence of modern nation-states as a result of mass politics (e.g., the French Revolution, then unification movements, etc). But a much less obvious takeaway, although very important, is developing an intuitive feeling of what it's like to be truly outside of the modern nation-state.
The concept of modern national identity is so deeply embedded in people's minds that even many ancaps still intuitively feel themselves as citizens of a nation-state. Namely, a German libertarian identifies himself with a unified Germany, an Italian with a unified Italy, and so on. They might not admit it directly, but it's indicative of how Eastern European libertarians reacted to Hans Hermann Hoppe's speech about the war in Ukraine.
The true status quo is almost never mentioned; it is intuitively taken for granted. It isn't about left or right; it's about nation-state identity and the recognition of modern borders as something natural.
Even China and the US are much closer to each other ideologically than both of them are to the Holy Roman Empire. Here are quotes from Peter Wilson's article "What did it mean to belong to the Holy Roman Empire?":

The Holy Roman Empire was neither a nation state nor indeed a conventional empire. Instead, its inhabitants were unified through a web of legal rights.
Others, like the political philosopher Samuel Pufendorf a century earlier, described the empire as ‘resembling a monstrosity’ because it did not conform to any of the recognised categories of state.
The first key point is that identity in the Holy Roman Empire was always multi-centred as there was no stable heartland, nor a single dominant people
Actual governance always depended on convincing the lordly and clerical elite to cooperate
The empire never had a single, fixed imperial capital
Its politics - and as a consequence its identities also - were always multi-centred, reflecting the underlying imperial ideology as well as the practical exigencies of governing such a vast space

Hi, I (Male, 16) just finished my Sophomore year at an academically challenging high school. (I'm sorry if this comes off as snobby; it's not my intention. I'm just trying to describe my situation as best I can.) I have no sexy legacy status (my parents both are college-educated, though), and I am unlikely to be good enough at my primary sport to be able to play at the collegiate level (at a school I would like to go to). I had a 3.60 UW in all regulars in freshman year; I finished strong but didn't really know how to study at the beginning of the year (my fault), hence the 3.6. Things looked bright heading into this year: two honors and one AP, and I got out to a hot start. Unfortunately, some tricky shit came up at home mid-way through the year (that's all I want to say), and since then, my mental toughness, as well as my habits, got all messed up. In the second semester of the year, I completely sold the bag and will end with 2.5 A's (including a semester class) and 4B's (one in honors and one in AP), which is not great considering my freshman year stats. As a man, I understand it's my job to make a good life for my future family, which must be done through hard work. Currently, I feel I'm not setting myself up well to serve that role considering my current habits, and I want to change that; I know what results I need to achieve: a good SAT and preferably a 4.0 UW in my classes next year (3 AP's, 3 Non-Honors, luckily I'm excited about all of my classes, especially my AP's) but I need help on setting myself up for success because I currently struggle to manage my time well, which leads to late assignments, poor sleep, and sometimes poor results, how do I fix my time management issue? I just want to talk about this because it makes me so heated. Facebook uses automated systems to detect and take down comments that are related to hate speech or harassment, and you can report a comment if they don't take it down automatically. Obviously, using a slur would count, but they're allowing the n word over and over, and they're allowing "retard" a lot as well in bad context. They allow religious hate speech over and over. "Sky daddy" "christtard" "Bible thumper" are a few I've seen be allowed repeatedly, yet their automated system automatically detects anything in disagreement with pride month or LGBT. Meta says on their support page, " We define hate speech as direct attacks against people" but they are removing ANY differing opinions. Groups labeled, " are the straights okay?" (Which has maybe 15 variation groups) But groups like, " super straights " was removed for accepting discussion about straight families and why people disagree with LGBT outreach to their children. My question is, why ban some and not all?
