I (34M) have had a long journey with hip issues, resulting in an arthroscopy for labral and cartilage cleanup in the hip in Sept 2018.
One of my most persistent issues during both pre and post op was weakness in the core and glutes, that I couldn't get rid of no matter how much time I spend in the gym or with a PT.
Recently I tried a HIFEM machine (the main brand is Emsculpt), which is like a 10x more powerful TENS unit - it has been incredibly helpful, and I have been able to build muscle in 3 weeks that I was never able to do it the 6 years since my issue started.
The machine forces your muscles to contract fully, they brand it as doing 20,000 sit ups/squats in 30 mins, which sounds ridiculous, but my results suggest it is actually kinda true.
I wanted to post about it here, as I have not seen it previously mentioned, and it has been a complete gamchanger for me, in terms of core/glute strength. If you have persistent weakness, I recommend having a look - it doesn't directly address pain, but does help all the supporting muscles.
You can get it done generally at beauty clinics, with sessions for the premium brand (Emsculpt) are as expensive as $500(!) per session, but with a bit of searching, normally $100-120 per session is possible, esp if you want to just try it out. Cheaper machines (EMS Zero, Renasculpt) do practically exactly the same for much cheaper rates, so no real need to go premium.
You can also purchase a home machine for ~$2,500, if you find it actually helps, which is what what I am doing, but recommend trying a couple of sessions to see if you actually think it will help.
It has been so useful to me, I felt I had to put it on the forum, in case anyone searches in the future.

My contract says: "Avtalet upphör vid hyrestidens slut. That means that I have to give notice at least 3 months before, I got that. However, I was just wondering if there's anything else. I can still stay in the apartment during those three months right? Hi I am Telus home fibre optic internet customer for the last several years, recently I moved to a new address and contacted Telus to move my home internet service then I got booked an appointment to install my service at the new address and the installation wasn't done because of some fibre optic cable issues outside the house and got told that another team needs to come and I got another team to check the cabling and I was told that they couldn't fix it and another team needs to come to fix it and I am still waiting. I also got charged for the month even tho I wasn't able to use the internet at all.

6 months ago, I switched from a company visa to a golden visa. The company told me they will cancel the free zone contract and issue me a new one once my visa is received. However, this action was not taken and I have apparently been working for 6 months without any labour contract or permit.
The company has now terminated me and is threatening to not pay my notice period salary or ESB. Do I have any legal recourse?

In the late 90's my Dad worked for Microsoft as a contractor, and he told me this story: He was hired to locate bugs, offer solutions & come up with features for a secret video editing project. He was constantly picked on by the Microsoft devs for complaining about the lack of features with the program, recalling them always saying how 'they were trying to make it something a grandma could use and don't want to make it complicated' and his feature ideas mostly got ignored. Still, some of his them did make it to official release. One day, he decided the best way to test the program would be to create a short film, using only the tools available during the developmental stage. It was 1999 and Star Wars the Phantom Menace had just been released. My dad obtained a copy of the film and spliced together one of those homemade fan-films that nerds make when they have nothing better to do.
He called it "Star Warz Episode None: Duel of the Fakes", and it was the whole shebang ... Face paint, props, stunts, lightsabers, and speederbikes... He re-created the Darth Maul fight scene with his friends & family in the backyard of his parent's house, using the trampoline for stunt flips and 'force-jumps' onto the roof. He even acquired a life-size cardboard cutout of R2-D2 from a toy store where his girlfriend (my mother) worked at. The store was throwing away promotional material for the movie, and my Mom saved it from the trash, and it was used in the short film. All in all, it's definitely one of those '90s nostalgia camcorder videotapes filled with young guys being dudes & having fun.
When the project was all said & done, he showed it to the dev team at Microsoft, and they loved it so much that the manager offered him to forget the contract job and work full time at Microsoft, which is how he started his career in software development, which is still his career to this day, albeit not at Microsoft anymore. He said for a day or two, he walked down the hallway and heard his film playing in every room. They brought it up for weeks and he even (supposedly) got an award from the dev team as a celebratory gesture to his work ... A few months later, Windows Movie Maker was released to the public.
He still has the original video he made, and it's technically uploaded to YouTube, but it's listed as private with no plans to make it public. I don't have any proof this story is true. I know for a fact based off family members confirming he indeed worked on Windows Movie Maker, and later Silverlight. It was a long time ago. I hadn't been born yet. I really do like to believe he impressed Microsoft with a Star Wars nerd film enough to get hired on the spot with no college degree. I should also mention that I don't know anything about Windows Movie Maker, as I quite literally learned about its existence from my Dad telling me this story the other day. Lol

However, given his (somewhat weird situation), he is unable to register at any school in Sharjah or Dubai - he has no proof of residency in Sharjah or Dubai (contract is under his brother’s name) and his visa is from Abu Dhabi (despite not working there geographically). The company in Sharjah is a subsidiary and has a different name on its business registration certificate vs. the company name on the visa.
How can we navigate this situation? Or is it impossible?

I'm in a dispute with Three and could really use some external help to make sure my argument in the dispute is watertight.
Context:
I ordered some broadband from Three around 2 months ago, the router was delivered to a neighbour in my block of flats. It was "signed for" under my name and a proof of delivery photograph featuring a headless woman was the evidence. All the doors and carpets in my building look the same so there was no distinguishing features to give an indication of who it was.
I asked around the neighbours over the next few days and everyone said they hadn't received a parcel. I also sent a letter around giving whoever had the parcel an ultimatum to leave it in front of my door before I opened an investigation and no one came forward - so clearly someone was lying.
I contacted Three about this and they said they'd look into it, a week later they said they looked into it and the device was confirmed delivered - to which I said that it was delivered ot the wrong address - their reply was that there was GPS evidence, to which I replied that the GPS evidence could represent any one of the 25 flats in this building and that the photographic evidence of someone recieving the parcel was someone who was not me.
I offered to give further evidnce, via proof of signature, a picture of myself to show that it was not me who had signed for the parcel which Three refused to accept reiterating that their position was that the parcel had been delivered.
At this point I escalated the case to the Ombudsman.
After closing heir internal complaint Three then began to aggressively pursue payment from me, despite me contacting them numerous times to tell them that the issue is with the Ombudsman and I wouldn't be paying for anything as the contract terms hadn't been met.

- None of the neighbours have said they have the device
- This needs to be disputed with DPD directly for them to complete an investigation with the driver
- I am liable for paying for the service until I can give evidence that the device was not received -They've confirmed that there's no useage on the device or the mobile number
My counter argument would be:
- Three has a responsibility as the sender to ensure the goods I undertook a contract for were delivered, any issues between DPD and Three before the item was delivered to me have nothing to do with me and are a seperate issue between Three and DPD, which Three is currently using as an excuse to not fulfill the contract.
- Three has repeatedly refused to give any avenue to prove that the individual represented in the claimed photographic evidence is not me, including any photographs of myself and my signature
- The notion of "giving evidence that the device has not been recieved" does not make any sense as I'm being asked to prove a negative - what could this evidence even look like if the device is not in my possession? The only evidence is already possesed by Three, which is an image of the device being delivered to someone who clearly isn't me, and they've confirmed that the device hasn't been used, neither has the mobile number.
- Three has repeatedly harrassed me for payments and given complaint updates on my account, even if I had wanted to manage the payments or read these notes I wouldn't be able to as to log into the Three customer portal one needs the mobile number of the account, which I don't have.
- I cannot identify any possible motive that Three could think I have. If I had any intentions of cancelling the contract after recieving the device, I could have done so within the cooling off period, but I called Three about the undelivered item well before this period ended. The device itself has little to no monetary value and is useless without a Three broadband contract which Three themselves have confirmed has not been made use of. -I've repeatedly given Three the opportunity to remedy the situation to no avail
- The terms and conditions state that Three is responsible for supplying me the equipment, which they have failed to do so, hence holding me liable whilst failing to uphold their own terms makes no sense.

I mind is thinking hes going to see traces of meth in my system and now hes going to think what else have I been lying to him about ? Hes going to check my work,therapist and find out all of that was BS theres no way hes going to ask the judge for my early release now right? - He said that he was one of the accepted to the job. However, He was asked to pay $1550 to the agency to proceed with the application. Direct bank transfer sa bank that I assume is Filipina agent. How did I know? I did the transferring from his online banking to Unionbank (account of Filipina agent). The transfer was successful. And I thought it was okay.
- He asked me again to log-in to his bank account (since google was blocked in China, he cannot access his bank account) and transfer again $2900 to the same beneficiary. The transfer was unsuccessful since the bank detected the different IP address used to log in, and his bank was temporarily suspended from transferring.
- Now he can’t join the training if he can’t pay the Insurance and clearance amounting to $2900. He said that he don’t have any other bank. He started pleading that I pay for the $2900 so that he can be cleared and start the job.
Is this a new love scam? Or he was being scammed by the agency? I really don’t know what to do because a part of me really believe in him and want to help him, but a part of me is quite hesitant because this might be a scam in one way or another. 😔

TL;DR: GPT-4o will correctly install Node.js when the user provides the Node binaries as a zip file attachment in ChatGPT... and it will then use Node as its code interpreter. It also retries on errors until it gets things right, and it seems to be totally disregarding any sandboxing cautions given in its system instruction (it pushes up against the walls of that sandbox and then some). Hell, I even got it to set up a bona fide REST API with node.js express, spawn it as a long running process, and then later I confirmed the API was running, because it wrote a test script to make an HTTP request to the endpoint it had just set up. After first accidentally killing the server because the parent process ended, it realized the error in its ways, and figure out how to spin up the process and let it stay listening, while terminating the python bootstrapper code it uses to launch node.js (as well as bash commands). It then made a SECOND node.js script to call the API it had created... and this time it worked Sadly, there seems to be no obvious way in or out of the networking sandbox... But honestly there's a very easy workaround for that: setup openinterpreter on your home computer, and run the model with that and an API key! I'm very excited to see what this thing can do with internet access (and native access to Node without having to use python to spawn it). But the fact this worked at all has me very excited for the future... |

**Background**
I am an expat. Renting a house for one year. One year payment have been made. I have EJAR contract (all online, absher verifiable). All rental process went through in one real estate agency (lets call it 'Snail'). Few weeks ago, I found Eviction notice pasted outside the main door. Picture attached. I never receive any court notice or any sms regarding any court proceeding. I have conducted some due diligence.
**Due Diligence/What transpired within +- 2 weeks** in chronological order.
• *Snail's Director* : I texted him. According to him, owner have a problem and he is trying to solve the eviction notice. Told me not to worry.
• *Officemate A's cousin* : He is in the real estate industry. He confronted (by phone) Snail's director because he noticed that Snail the company and its director was name as Lessor and Lessor representative respectively. He also asked what happen with the eviction notice because I have valid Ejar contract.
Shocked by the call, snail's director mentioned that he needed to sell the house because his father needed money for treatment. After been pressed futher, Snail director folded and said I can remain until the tenancy end.
• *Officemate B's father* : Hes in the government (unknown department). According to him, aslong Ejar contract is valid. I cannot be evicted.
• *EJAR's office* : Show them the eviction notice. They said its fake. And that my Ejar contract is valid. If i want to lodge a report, go to REGA (real estate general authority).
• *REGA* : Went to the office Rega told me the notice is fake and to lodge complaint online. Complaint file and later the ticket status is 'Closed'. Received call from Rega asking me to lodge police report.
• *Enforcement Officer ('Repoman') : Texted him asking about the notice. I send him my Ejar contract. But he insisted i get out in a week. He also mention I need to talk to court if Im not happy.
• *ETC lawyer friends/district neighbors* : Reiterated, aslong Ejar contract is valid. Cannot be evicted.
**Fast forward to Yesterday**
A man claiming to be real owner (never met him before) said hello and ask me to wait 10 minutes. Later a police sergeant came along with a guy claiming to be officer from the court (his number appear at the bottom of the eviction notice). Three of them threathens me to give vacant possession to them immediately.
I called a local neighbour (lets call him 'Hat' for now) to assist me to speak Arabic with them.
The owner keeps on screaming that my Ejar contract is fake. The police took a hold of my Iqama and keep it with him, he stayed in the car. Repoman kept saying I acknowledged him because Ive texted him before. Hat argued back and forth with them. Hat managed to calm the owner down saying if anything I was a victim too and to give me time to vacate the house.
• *Hat* : Owner said he rented the house to Snail at 20 coins but he never received any rent for 2 years. He then find out that Snail has rented the house to me for 50 coins.
Further, Repoman took copy of my Ejar contract. According to him, he will bring my Ejar to the judge to see if he should proceed with the Eviction notice or seek further instruction.
Hat manage to get the owner to agree in principle after he gotten vacant possession, I could rent it back, at a lower rate. [Safe to say I have my doubt].
• *Snail's Team Member* : Received a call from unknown man claiming to be Snail's team member. According to him, Snail is a broker and owner trying to raise the rental. They had disagreement and hence the eviction notice. He also said that if i leave, Snail will reimburse balance of my rent by this week. I told him, I need time to think of the conpensation because this has caused inconvenience for me and I need to look for a new house. Also, ig we agree he must start the termination process in Ejar because the one who started the termination have to reimburse the other.
**Present**
• *REGA* : Trying to ask rega to verify the eviction notice again because I was ambushed by 3 guys prior. And if what the owner claiming is legit. Is my Ejar contract valid?.
Rega asked me to file new complaint to investigate the Ejar contract. They told me not to worry. I am very worried because I am in a foreign country without family support. Rega ask me to check the validity with the court.
• *Court* : Went to the counter. Was told that the eviction notice is with a judge now. I am not sure if my Ejar contract was attached to the notice or not. Ask me to come back in a week.
**TLDR :** I rent a house through real estate agent. I never known/met the owner. Owner and agent had disagreement. Owner obtained an eviction notice on the house. I was told that I have valid rental agreement and cannot be evicted. Owner bring police and repoman to threathens and evict me. I am clueless and in despair, not sure who to trust. Still not solve. - Are my right as tenant protected if Snail comitted fraud? (Where i am a 'bona fide' tenant/victims/bystander).
