Hi All, NVC asked me to submit one more document for my wife on Çivil Document: China-Mainland Police Certificate. She studied there, but it has been 14 years ago. So, I sent request to NVC asking to cancel/waiver given document due to its difficulties to get this type of doc from China and in order to get it my wife needs to fly to China. And we have three small kids. They replied to send detailed explanation letter and mail it to NVC. So my question is: is it better to fly and get this certificate or write explanation letter? What is the best way? If just send an explanation letter afraid might hurt counselor interview or DQ will be cancelled and still will ask. What do you think guys? What shall I do?

2024.06.09 21:49 Pale_Pudding_8137 Losing access to gym because of move, don't want to lose my gains
Howdy, I've been working out at the gym pretty consistently for about a year now and have made a lot of progress strength and fitness wise. However I am about to move to BFE and the closest gym is around 10 miles away (which isn't the problem) but I will probably not get a membership for a couple months at least just because money is going to be tight for a bit, and I have to be careful how much I'm driving because I own a shitbox car.
I'm hoping to make some good chest gains and get rid of some belly fat before I have top surgery this fall. So I'm thinking of doing calisthenics. (already have been doing pushups/planks/etc outside of the gym)
However, I'm used to working out with weights and machines. I do have a 60lb dumbbell set which will help with a few things. Where calisthenics is so different I'm just worried I won't make progress or I won't be doing the same amount of work that I would be with weights. Do y'all have any recommendations for plans that will keep me in shape? I know I'll figure it out eventually but it's just a weird adjustment. I'm also having a hard time eating enough because my medication just got increased, so I guess I'm doing a cut rn?
I'm just worried I won't be able to work all my muscles the same way or that I'll get bored doing the same movements. Idk.

Has anyone, with the ACP discount and Spectrum, been told, their ACP discount was cancelled, when it was not? When I joined Spectrum, they only applied the discount for the first month. It took 5/6 calls and two trips to their store, just to get that one month discount. Spectrum claimed to have "received a letter stating (my) ACP has ended," (this was prior to February) They wont email a copy or allow me to read this supposed letter. Meanwhile, I was active with ACP through May 2024. Spectrum know the ACP 800 line is shut down, as they request proof of eligibility. The best proof I could present is a text message stating myeligibility. Can the FCC provide my proof or investigate? I applied/was accepted to ACP over two years ago. I had to fought to get the discount for ONE month. I've heard others in my area have been fed the same BS. Im wondering if others were told the same? Why don't I switch? I'm in an area only accessible to Spectrum, and they know it. However, Verizon Fio and T-Mobile now cover my area for internet. See ya, Spectrum!

Hi, so I filed my business tax with hrblock software. It's an llc s Corp. I went through the whole thing and filed. Now I received a letter saying that I made a mistake on my form 100s and owe $800 plus penalty and fees. I checked and it was the CA franchise fee for llc. I saw mine was left at $0. Guess the software miss that. So I sent in my payment on the website. And now they sent me another letter saying I didn't pay and more fee was added on top. I see my bank statement showed that it went through. I saw this yesterday and now need to wait till Monday. And to chat online I had to create an account but needed a pin before to verify my business.
Just feel like Hrblock software should of caught that and know it needed to add that in. Now is there anything I need to explain to the tax board or they will cancel the other letter and fees?

So, at the appointed hour I was on Jetty B, dressed to the nines and ready for adventure. A small motor launch drew alongside and the next thing I know we were skipping over the waves towards the yacht. Waiting on the prow was a tall, handsome man wearing a white headdress and sunglasses. Hi Team,
Let's take a breather and think about something to be grateful for. For one, I follow, but am not a member of: Breaking Moms on Reddit (note the worldwide membership of 125K vs. the men's group is less than 300)! I can not fathom that amount of abuse, neglect and weaponized incompetence that the women on that sub represent about het/married life.
I'm grateful that I'm not doing the dishes for the thousandth time after dinner while my husband sits on the couch in the other room yelling at sports on TV. (I have an old, dear friend who put her TV on a wheeled cabinet so she could move her husband around to clean various areas of the house). Not being told I have to do more house work because my spouse out earns me (I can't believe this really happened).
Things I cherish about my single mom life:
Absence of judgement: Being able to rest (take a nap/chill) without judgement. I have a king size bed that I sleep on diagonally and use all the pillows. I use the entire closet, I decorate my entire house to my liking. No one criticizing anything that I do (Why do you have so many shoes?, Are you going to wear that? etc.). Not having to ask permission to do something, especially if it costs money (my ex would not allow me to get a medically necessary procedure d/t cost (I did it anyways without him knowing), would never let me join the premiere gym he belonged to because his membership is free under his parents (he's 49). Not having to keep the house decorated to some external/basic standard. (Now my front room is dark/lit w/ pink programmable LED lights and has exercise and musical equipment.)
Skills acquired: (My ex wasn't handy so I learned how to buy tools/be handy do stuff on my own). Being my own lead driver instead of always being the passenger (because the man has to be the diver). My ex wouldn't even let me drive his car for years. Now I drive a more expensive car than his, am a tactical driver and usually drive in sport mode! (f/u Tesla tech bros!) Learning how to marinate and grill meats (this is so fun, why is this just a dad thing?)
One of the nicest thing my younger son (or anyone) has ever said to me was something along the lines of "I wish I was a girl, so that when I grow up I could be like you." (He said this after I had just started a new job at a well known tech company that he was able to visit, so he thought I was cool.). I responded something like, "You don't have to be a girl to be like me, you are my kid and we are going to be similar anyways."
(Mods have done a great job of keeping the trolls away, but I wonder what they would have to say about this?)

2024.06.09 19:55 Few-Pick-6133 Pain going on for months-don't know what to do
Hello everyone. This is gonna be along one so please bare with me as I vent. This has all taken a toll on m mentally and I feel so stuck, to the point where I am questioning everything.
In December of 2023, I began having very bad pain while urinating, discharge....I suspected a UTI. However, I tested positive for Chlamydia(even though my partner at the time said he was negative.). I got treated, retested and everything came back negative. However, I was still experiencing burning while peeing, vaginal discharge, and etc. I went to the gyno for the first time, around the middle of January and explained my symptoms to her. She said that she saw some yeast while doing the exam and treated me for such. I got tested for the regular STI's and did a vaginal swab. The medicine she gave me did not help much and all my results came back negative. Going into February, my friend passed and I went into a dark place. I stopped caring for my health and I didn't revisit the gyno(although experiencing pain while urinating, itching, discharge; etc) up until March. March comes around, I am still struggling with everything and I visit the Gyno again with the same symptoms. She tested me for Mycoplasma/Ureaplasma and gave me cream to deal with the itching. My results come back and I was in fact positive for Mycoplasma. I am not sure what medicine she put me on, but I remember it was a 7 day antibiotic.
I took it, felt a little better, but a week later the same symptoms started to return. At the end of March/beginning of April, I had a burning sensation while peeing, I began having very sharp pain in my pelvis, hip/leg pain, on and off discharge(somedays it would be brownish, next it would be a very clear heavy discharge), and lower back pain. I returned to same gyno and she thought it was a UTI. She took a urine sample and did a swab(however, i don't believe she retested me for mycoplasma). She gave me a three day antibiotic and it worked. The pain while peeing went away and the cramping subsided. However, the results came back and everything came back negative. But, in my urine my white and red blood cells were high. She told me to go to my PCP because she believed it wasn't a gyno related issue anymore. By that time I was experiencing very bad pain in my chest and back. I ended up going to the ER because I believed I had a kidney issue. I did a CAT Scan, but everything came back fine. The doctor told me it was a muscoskeltal issue and prescribed naproxen to me. Also, it came back that I had a yeast infection. I explained the cramping and such to the doctor and she said I did have a UTI, the test just didn't detect it. I asked her if the cramping was due to the muscoskeltal issue and she said it could be... I went home, took Fluconazole(singular) and began using the Naproxen.
I am a college student and I dorm, so I constantly have to travel back and forth to attend these doctor appointments. I return back to school and my pain subsides in my chest area, but the naproxen did not help the cramping. I still was having pain while peeing. I return back home to see my PCP, and she did a vaginal exam and said she saw yeast again. She told me the cramping was just due to my period(just no). She prescribed Fluconazole and a insertion for the yeast infection. I told her to run every test she can and the only thing that came up was a little bacteria in my urine(she told me this 7 days after I went to her). I told her I am still having pain while urinating and so she gave me a 7 day medication(take two a day), I forget the name. I was taking both that medicine she gave me and the naproxen, but, I ended up stop taking the naproxen because I experienced really bad stomach problems one day and I believed that it cause my period to be almost late(6 days, my period is usually on time and comes between the 14th and 16th).
At this point I stop going to my PCP because of her response to what I am telling her. I make an appointment with a different gyno to address it. BY THIS TIME, I am having pain in my pelvis, abdomen, and lower back(moreso on my left side), and my hip. I am not peeing frequently, there is no discharge or very little, BUT when I PEE IT BURNS. I make an appointment. Before seeing my gyno, I do an ultrasound( my belly and vaginal) and everything is fine. I tell her all these symptoms, she swabs me for everything(including mycoplasma but those results were inconclusive because I was on my period, so i have to retake it), I ask her if it's possible if I have PID, she says I would be in more pain. She refers me to a urologist and gastroenterologist(my abdominal pain was concerning to her). I go to my urologist first(May 29th), she tells me that she believes that due to all the antibiotics I have been taking since December my urethra and stomach have not had time to heal(which I totally agree). She does a vaginal exam(looks fine). She brings up pelvic floor issues and does a fast exam on me, but it doesn't seem abnormal. However, she said its still a possibility. She basically tells me that she thinks I need to stay off antibiotics, use cranberry pills, and visiting the GI is a good idea. She also gave me a lubricant to apply down there just to see if it eases the pain. I have an call with her in two weeks to update her.
Two days after, I visit my GI. I do have constipation, burping, and such. He basically said I don't know what it is but, he prescribed me Pantoprazole to take before breakfast and suggested I use miralax. I also have a follow up call with him.
My results came back from my gyno that I have BV, she told me that it usually goes away on its own, but she will send an antibiotic just in case. Which worries me because of what the urologist said. I am still experiencing pain when I pee, pelvic pain, abdominal pain, pain on my left side, buttotcks pain, and lower back pain as of right now, the pain isn't excruciating, but its there. Sometimes it feels like stabbing in my back or my pelvic like just hurts. I do have some pain in my actual vaginal hole and sometimes it just hurts, kinda like I’m in my period, but I’m not. Due to this, I went to the hospital because of it actually getting worse. I did the regular sti testing, an abdominal x ray, and bood testsing. The x-ray showed I had a lot of gas and basically poop in my system. So she sent miralax and another medicine, "so i wouldn't get hemmorids". That was June 5th, I have been taking all the medicine as is, but the pain has returned. When I lie down, their is pain in my lower back(feels as its pulsating and moreso on my left side), pain in my pelvis, and my whole left leg is hurting. I don't know what to do, this has been going on for months.
edit: i believe its also important to note, the abdominal pain has subsided but the pelvic pain has not. I also had random spotting on friday(two days after the hospital appt). it was light and after a couple of hours it went away(it happened when i was at the gym)

But, in my urine my white and red blood cells were high. She told me to go to my PCP because she believed it wasn't a gyno related issue anymore. By that time I was experiencing very bad pain in my chest and back. I ended up going to the ER because I believed I had a kidney issue. I did a CAT Scan, but everything came back fine. The doctor told me it was a muscoskeltal issue and prescribed naproxen to me. Also, it came back that I had a yeast infection. I explained the cramping and such to the doctor and she said I did have a UTI, the test just didn't detect it. I asked her if the cramping was due to the muscoskeltal issue and she said it could be... I went home, took Fluconazole(singular) and began using the Naproxen.
I am a college student and I dorm, so I constantly have to travel back and forth to attend these doctor appointments. I return back to school and my pain subsides in my chest area, but the naproxen did not help the cramping. I still was having pain while peeing. I return back home to see my PCP, and she did a vaginal exam and said she saw yeast again. She told me the cramping was just due to my period(just no). She prescribed Fluconazole and a insertion for the yeast infection. I told her to run every test she can and the only thing that came up was a little bacteria in my urine(she told me this 7 days after I went to her). I go to my urologist first(May 29th), she tells me that she believes that due to all the antibiotics I have been taking since December my urethra and stomach have not had time to heal(which I totally agree). She does a vaginal exam(looks fine). She brings up pelvic floor issues and does a fast exam on me, but it doesn't seem abnormal. However, she said its still a possibility. She basically tells me that she thinks I need to stay off antibiotics, use cranberry pills, and visiting the GI is a good idea. She also gave me a lubricant to apply down there just to see if it eases the pain. I have an call with her in two weeks to update her.
Two days after, I visit my GI. I do have constipation, burping, and such. He basically said I don't know what it is but, he prescribed me Pantoprazole to take before breakfast and suggested I use miralax. I also have a follow up call with him.
My results came back from my gyno that I have BV, she told me that it usually goes away on its own, but she will send an antibiotic just in case. Which worries me because of what the urologist said. I am still experiencing pain when I pee, pelvic pain, abdominal pain, pain on my left side, buttotcks pain, and lower back pain as of right now, the pain isn't excruciating, but its there. Sometimes it feels like stabbing in my back or my pelvic like just hurts. I do have some pain in my actual vaginal hole and sometimes it just hurts, kinda like I’m in my period, but I’m not. Due to this, I went to the hospital because of it actually getting worse. I did the regular sti testing, an abdominal x ray, and bood testsing. The x-ray showed I had a lot of gas and basically poop in my system. So she sent miralax and another medicine, "so i wouldn't get hemmorids". That was June 5th, I have been taking all the medicine as is, but the pain has returned. When I lie down, their is pain in my lower back(feels as its pulsating and moreso on my left side), pain in my pelvis, and my whole left leg is hurting. I don't know what to do, this has been going on for months.
edit: i believe its also important to note, the abdominal pain has subsided but the pelvic pain has not. I also had random spotting on friday(two days after the hospital appt). it was light and after a couple of hours it went away(it happened when i was at the gym)

I chatted with BB support and they said because I received discounts from the membership, those discounts were subtracted from the refund??? Also they don't have a cancel renewal option? So either I wait til I get charged for renewal then cancel or schedule the day before renewal to cancel my membership? Otherwise if you hit the cancel button early you straight up lose benefits with zero compensation. When you think about it, it's theft.

This is a classic example of “bait and switch.” In addition, you state:

And yet, even though I clearly gave you an opportunity to make it right by sending the correct scent, which any scent expert would know does not match and would realize by my description that the scent provided that you market as “Body Shop Wood Musk Type” is clearly either an an honest error or a deliberate deception, based on your company response most reasonable people would conclude the latter as no expert perfumer in good conscious could claim this scent resembles in any way what you advertised.

Will take the option listed on your website, which was a full refund. I could not give away the cent you gave me to to anyone without insulting them. No offense intended, but it truly smells awful. I am not allergic to anything or sensitive to things, but it gave me a headache and was overpoweringly awful.
NO RETURN NEEDED INSTANT REFUND POLICY. Who does that? We do. After being in business for over 10 years we figured out it’s the only way to successfully and ethically run this business.

But, before you go, we'd love another shot at getting it right. We've learned that fragrances can react differently on each person, and we want to recreate the scent that you'll love.
Here's what we can do:
You don’t need to send us a sample. Just simply tell us what you liked about the original scent and what you didn't like about the new one. We'll use this feedback to create 1-3 small samples tailored to your preferences.
Choose the one that works for you, and we’ll use its formula on a new order equivalent to the original to be shipped to you (you can keep the original bottle too!).
If you're still not happy, a full refund is always on the table. Let us know how you'd like to proceed, and we'll get started on creating your perfect scent!

Thank you for responding. Regarding your request for a description, I literally did that in the email you replied to:
“What you sent me smelled highly floral and of roses. What musk was very herbaceous, fresh, and forest woodsy with a hint of ambergris, and something else, that I could not replicate.”
My concern is that you market this product as “Body Shop Wood Musk Type,” implying that you know what this product smells like already and the fact is you don’t and scent me a product that isn’t close with the apparent intent to get my money and send me something I don’t want.
This is a classic example of “bait and switch.” In addition, you state:

And yet, even though I clearly gave you an opportunity to make it right by sending the correct scent, which any scent expert would know does not match and would realize by my description that the scent provided that you market as “Body Shop Wood Musk Type” is clearly either an an honest error or a deliberate deception, based on your company response most reasonable people would conclude the latter as no expert perfumer in good conscious could claim this scent resembles in any way what you advertised.
In short, neither the scent nor your claim to provide an “Instant” refund have been realized.
Please refund my purchase per your policy by close of business Monday, June 10th.
