2024.05.15 18:22 alitanveer How do I help my client team justify my role to their bosses?

I was brought on as an analytics consultant but have grown into a solutions architect/management consultant over the last two years or so. The team is under more financial scrutiny from leadership due to the economy and need me to help them justify the spend. My client is a medical device company.
I'm one of those figure it out kind of people with a very strong level of expertise in data systems and overall technical acumen along with lots of experience in leadership roles and compliance. They can come to me with any issue or goal and I can generally figure out a number of different solutions, lay out the pros and cons, help them decide, and then setup the software or build entirely new apps or reports to help them fulfill their need. They simply pay for my hours and we don't go through lengthy project scoping discussions and SOWs. I get an idea of what they want to achieve, build a solutions package and then iterate and support if things change.
For example, the team was tasked with making sure that sales guys taking doctors out for lunches and dinners were not breaking company policies and government rules around bribing doctors for sales and everything was reasonable and on the up and up. There are thousands of transactions every month and one person was going through the spreadsheet manually to see if anything seemed off and then manually keeping track of their reviews. Any sort of analysis was done manually using the spreadsheets. As a result of my work, PowerBI is continuously pulling transaction data from underlying systems, analyzes everything and compares against policies to flag specific transactions for review. The team goes into the report, selects the flagged transactions and then uses an embedded PowerApp to fill out a review checklist, log their findings, identify violations, and provide feedback, which also gets logged. All of this data is analyzed too and ends up in four slides that get shown on a quarterly basis to the C-suite, but update automatically in real time. From a work product perspective, the report, app, and slides don't seem like much for the level of effort that went into making those.
A simple one page dashboard may have taken 50 hours of backend data engineering work to make it so it updates every night rather than a week to do it by hand once per quarter. I have just spent nearly 35 hours mucking about in the API and reporting systems for their new travel provider to determine if we can pull the details we need to expand the reviews to flights. The work product in that instance was a simple "yes, it's possible."
Do you have any suggestions or reading material to help justify the cost of consultants that goes beyond simply showing work products?

2024.05.15 15:07 jaysjep2 Jeopardy! discussion thread for Wed., May 15

Here are today's contestants:
Jeopardy!
UNION MEN // SPORTSWOMEN // TJ MAX // FACTS ABOUT FOURSOMES // FOODIE BOOK TITLES // ANTONYMIC PERRYS
DD1 - $800 - UNION MEN - After a march from Atlanta to the sea, Gen. Sherman gave Lincoln a nice Xmas gift--this city, & 150 cannons & 25,000 bales of cotton (Will doubled to $2,800.)
Scores at first break: Will $6,000, Kathy -$200, Grant $2,200.
Scores entering DJ: Will $7,600, Kathy $1,800, Grant $3,400.
Double Jeopardy!
2020s POLITICS // TREES // IN THE PERIOD FILM // THE RUNAWAYS // ONCE YUGOSLAVIA // THE NEXT WORD IN THE DICTIONARY AFTER...
DD2 - $1,600 - THE RUNAWAYS - Runaway production (shows shot outside L.A.) is big in this foreign city; on "Suits" it played NYC, less than a 2-hour flight away (Grant added $5,000 to improve to $12,400 vs. $10,800 for Will.)
DD3 - $1,600 - 2020s POLITICS - Quite the center of attention in 2022, in the '60s this senator played QB for West Virginia & assistant coach Bobby Bowden (Grant dropped $4,000 to $9,200 vs. $12,000 for Will.)
Grant and Will were dead even with the entire row of $400 clues remaining. Grant got three, Will got two, then time ran out, so it was Grant leading into FJ at $13,200 vs. Will at $12,800 and Kathy at $6,600.
Final Jeopardy!
19th CENTURY LITERARY CHARACTERS - John Elwes, a millionaire member of parliament who would go to bed before dusk to save on candles, inspired this character
Everyone was correct on this extremely easy FJ clue. Grant added $12,401 to win with $25,601.
Final scores: Will $13,201, Kathy $13,199, Grant $25,601.
Judging the judges: IMO they should have accepted just "Lucy" for the game-deciding $400 clue, as she was widely referred to by just that single name. Also note that Lucy's daughter is performer Lucie Arnaz, the name that Grant gave.
Correct Qs: DD1 - What is Savannah? DD2 - What is Toronto? DD3 - Who is Manchin? FJ - Who is Scrooge?

2024.05.15 13:41 PersonR I’m struggling with the idea my dog is getting old

I’m struggling with the idea my dog is getting old
I got Athba when I completed plans for my suicide. That was over 6 years ago. The pictures are of her last walk in Saudi, and her first walk in the UK.
I stopped by a pet store (we don’t have rescues) to see if they had retrievers. I saw this husky curled up in the corner who looked like they needed just as much help as I did, I took a picture then and I don’t want to look for it. I wouldn’t have dreamed of owning a husky before seeing her. I asked to meet her and told my family “I feel like I was brought back to life.” 3 days later and I’m the proud owner of a husky, my first ever pet. We’ve been helping each other for the past 6 years. She was almost 1.5 years old at the time.
I planned my career and academic career around her. I wanted her to see and experience snow.
6 months ago I moved us all to the UK (from the Middle East) because it was 1) a shorter flight and 2) could have snow. I’m planning on getting my driver’s license with the sole goal of a road trip to the north next winter so she can experience snow.
Today, I bought her a pram because she can’t enjoy her walks anymore. She’ll be damned if I end them though, so the pram is a happy middle: she enjoys long walks and doesn’t have to exert effort. She does love her crate and does enjoy car rides, so I hope she enjoys pram rides too.
She’ll be 8 in August. I can’t make sense of her being 8 and old when 8 is such a small number.
I’ll be damned if I don’t get her to see snow this year, I won’t even rent a place to cut on costs. Just a car to get us to Scotland. She saw a smidge last December(?) and had the time of her life. I swear it wasn’t even an inch thick and she had a blast! We live in the south of wales so not much snow.
She’s gone through so much with me. I can’t cope with her being old. I had to go through my camera roll to get videos from the past for her gait analysis and God, we have had so much fun together.
Don’t get me started on getting her back home from the UK. I have a long postgraduate career ahead of me, but I’m also thinking of getting post docs as well seeing as it would offer me a chance to develop my research skills but MORE IMPORTANTLY would mean she doesn’t go through flights at an old age. I wish I had private jet rent money.
I’ve been crying all of yesterday and today. I’m getting closer to the day I lose her from the day I got her.
She’s a jerk, by the way. A complete ass, if you will. A spoilt brat who always gets her way because all she has to do is be. I love her, so much.
She loves swimming and playing in the water. And don’t get me started on when she discovered rivers! If I don’t unclip her fast enough she’ll just drag me in with her. Everyday is a swimming day for her. She loves sunbathing, she used to drive me mad about it back home but now she get to sunbathe uninterrupted because of the rarity of the sun here. She loves human food, but it has to be authentically Arabic or she won’t eat it. She’s learning to accept other cultures’ food.
She taught me so much. I was told to give her up because “first dog? FIRST PET? You’re not equipped enough.” I had to learn so much and change so much just to give her a full life. I love every minute of it.
She’s the love of my life. The absolute love of my life. She’s more than a heart or soul dog. She’s the dog who taught me everything I know about love.

2024.05.14 22:56 Temporary_Nebula3712 Joining the Air Force Reserves for the training to get a good full-time job?

Pre-emptive TL;DR: Is joining the Air Force Reserves with the primary purpose of receiving tech school training that will land me a good full-time job a viable strategy, and if so, which AFSC's would be the best choices for me to achieve this goal?
I'm 36 years old, married, no kids, in the Atlanta, GA area.
I've been a cop for the last 12 years. I quit a few months ago because almost every time someone else quit or was fired, I was given their job to do in addition to my own, and I was on-call 24/7 and receiving an average of 19 calls per week, mostly during the middle of the night (for no pay)... I was covering 4 full-time different job roles at the time I quit. I covered a minimum of at least two separate full-time jobs my entire last year at that department.
I haven't been able to find a decent job since I quit. I'm making some money doing remote part-time work, but it's not enough, and I'm honestly extremely bored not having enough to do day-to-day. I've been a damn good house husband and my yard and property look great, but I need to get out of this house more often. I made almost $100k last year, and I'm routinely getting rejected for jobs even at $50k or lower. I have extensive experience leading and managing people and units, but it doesn't seem to matter since I don't have any private sector experience. I really don't want to return to law enforcement at all, because my experience, training, and skillset prevent me from being able to stay where I actually enjoy policing, which is patrolling on the streets. I'm not originally from the Atlanta area - I grew up 2 hours from here. I can get a job easily back in my hometown from all the connections I made over the years, but that's too far to commute and it would be financially irresponsible to sell my house here and buy a new one there due to the interest rate climb and all the remodeling I've done in my current home.
I'm considering the Air Force Reserves because 1. I literally have nothing else going on and could easily accommodate the time away at basic training and tech school and 2. I'm hoping if I choose the right AFSC that after tech school I could get hired for a full-time job based on the training from the tech school for that AFSC. I'm aware that there are also full-time roles for Air Force Reserves, but I'm assuming those are difficult to get, especially for someone without prior active-duty service. 3. I want to stay in my house in the Atlanta area for the long term, but I can't sit around applying to infinite jobs for an indefinite period of time. Being away for basic training and tech school is fine, as long as I'm not moving away for good.
My wife is on board with this idea, so there wouldn't be any conflict there. I'm in good shape and health, and have always considered the annual police PT to be a joke, so there are no issues there. I'd love to go active-duty if I hadn't bought a house here 2 years ago. My wife works remotely, so it would be feasible, but the biggest appeal that joining the Reserves offers is the fact that we could stay in our current house instead of moving every few years. We have discussed the possibility of me being activated and deployed, and that's something we can handle if it comes to it, but that's much better than the guaranteed moves that going active-duty would require. If I do join the Reserves, I would be signing up with every intention of doing at least 20 years. I do have a 4-year degree in Education, but from what I've read so far, getting a commissioned officer spot as a civilian seems highly unlikely, especially since I don't have any degree, let alone an advanced degree, in any of the appropriate fields, so I'm only looking at enlisted AFSC's.
Based on everyone's experience, do y'all think that I could use Air Force Reserves tech school to get a decent full-time job?
If so, what AFSC would you recommend as the best path toward a good job? I don't even care what I do at this point, I just want to work, preferably in a career field where I can start at $50k or more with room to grow towards $75-90k in the next five years. I'm interested in cyber security, and being close to the airport in Atlanta I feel like something regarding aircraft repair and maintenance might make sense for me to find a quick job, but I truly just want a new career and don't care what it is. I'm hoping some of you have enough experience with yourselves, friends, or people in your units to provide some insight on which AFSC choices yield the best results on the job market.
I'm considering the following AFSC's:
2T2X1 - Air Transportation - Could potentially land me a job at an airport.
1P0X1 - Aircrew Flight Equipment - Could potentially land me a job at an airport.
2T3X7 - Fleet Management - Could potentially help land me a job with a shipping or trucking company.
2T1X1 - Ground Transportation - Could potentially help land me a warehouse or mechanic job.
6C0X1 - Contracting - Could potentially help land me a job with a construction company.
3E5X1 - Engineering - Could potentially help land me a job with a construction or surveying company.
6F0X1 - Financial Management and Comptroller - Could potentially land me a job in HR for a number of companies or as an auditor or in a financing company.
3F0X1 - Personnel - Could potentially land me a job in HR.
1D7X1 - Cyber Security - Could potentially land me a job in Cyber Security or IT Helpdesk.
1B4X1 - Cyber Warfare Operations - Could potentially land me a job in Cyber Security or IT Helpdesk.
1N4X1 - Cyber Intelligence Analyst - Could potentially land me a job in Cyber Security or IT Helpdesk.

Clearly, I'm not being picky here. Just to reiterate, I would be staying in the Reserves for 20 years unless circumstances dictated otherwise. I'm more than happy to put in the monthly/annual training in addition to a full-time job. I'm aware that I'd likely be far older than most or all of the others in basic training and that I'd be measured by expectations geared towards me being a decade or more younger than I actually am. My parents talked me out of the military twice (after high school and after college), so I've always been interested. I've served my local communities for over a decade, and now I'm looking to serve my country while also leveraging that service into a new career.
I plan on talking to a recruiter soon, but I'd rather have a good understanding of how I want to proceed prior to doing so, and I'd also like to narrow the above list down. Are any of the above AFSC choices likely to lead to a decently paying full-time job soon after basic training/tech school? Thanks in advance to everyone for taking the time to read and respond.

The Enigma of Amelia Earhart's Disappearance: A Flight Into Uncertainty
Amelia Earhart's 1937 disappearance during her circumnavigation attempt remains a captivating enigma in aviation history. This event continues to spark the imagination of researchers and enthusiasts, with theories persisting for decades. This article delves into the circumstances surrounding Earhart's last flight, analyzing various explanations proposed to explain her fate. By examining historical records, eyewitness accounts, and scientific analysis, we'll explore the most plausible explanations for what happened to Earhart, while acknowledging the enduring questions that cloud this mystery.
Taking Flight: A Daring Circumnavigation Attempt
Amelia Earhart, a record-breaking pilot and advocate for women's rights, aimed to become the first woman to circumnavigate the globe. Her route, planned with navigator Fred Noonan, would take them eastward across the Atlantic, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific Ocean. Following a series of successful legs, Earhart and Noonan departed from Lae, New Guinea, on July 2nd, 1937, headed for Howland Island, a tiny speck in the vast Pacific.
The Final Transmission: A Beacon of Uncertainty
Earhart's final radio transmissions crackled with a mix of frustration and determination. As she neared Howland Island, she reported low fuel and struggled to locate the miniscule island due to navigational challenges. Distress calls hinted at worsening conditions, but Earhart's fate remained unclear. Despite a massive search operation, no trace of Earhart or Noonan, or their Lockheed Electra aircraft, was ever definitively found.
Theories Take Flight: Crash, Castaway, or Captive?
Several theories have emerged in attempts to explain Earhart's disappearance. One suggests her plane simply ran out of fuel and crashed into the ocean. Searches throughout the decades, including underwater expeditions, haven't yielded conclusive evidence for this theory. Another theory points to Nikumaroro Island, where scattered artifacts have been linked to Earhart. However, the validity of these connections remains debated.
More outlandish theories propose Earhart may have been captured by the Japanese military, or even participated in a secret espionage mission. While intriguing, these lack substantial evidence and raise significant historical and logistical questions.
Science Steps In: A Modern Search for Answers
Modern technology offers new tools for investigating the past. Researchers utilize satellite imagery, advanced sonar scans, and other techniques to analyze the vast Pacific Ocean in search of wreckage. These efforts may hold the key to unlocking new information about Earhart's final resting place.
Earhart's Enduring Legacy: A Pioneer Lost, But Not Forgotten
The mystery of Amelia Earhart's disappearance has become woven into popular culture. Movies, books, and documentaries continue to explore the case, a testament to her enduring fascination. Beyond the enigma, Earhart's legacy as a pioneering aviator and an advocate for women in aviation is undeniable. Her courage and determination continue to inspire generations.
Conclusion: A Flight Unresolved
While the definitive answer to Amelia Earhart's fate may forever elude us, the questions surrounding her disappearance continue to drive exploration and research. This ongoing search not only sheds light on her final moments but also serves as a reminder of the challenges and dangers faced by early aviators. The enigma of Amelia Earhart's disappearance is a testament to her ambition and a lingering chapter in the history of flight.

2024.05.14 18:46 Xemnas81 Worried that my executive dysfunction issues incl planning difficulties and anxiety making decisions is going to both be a dealbreaker for partner and makes me generally unfit for poly/ENM

Hi,
I'm (31M) preparing to see my partner (P, 34NB) for the first time in a year. I'm pretty excited as I have missed them.
Currently they are on a vacation in the capital city of my country (which is considerable distance away) with Meta (M) and some friends, and will be meeting me and staying with me later on. We have had a bit of an argument over P boundary setting with me regarding meeting arrangements and this has made me felt less confident about our date week as a whole.
The situation feels a bit personal for myself because I have GAD, a disability and am neurodivergent with comorbid executive dysfunction issues. I personally think that the ED is a significant stressor for Partner, maybe even more than my mental health! Although I am not sure why this is.
I can somewhat understand why executive functioning is a sore spot and important. In general booking flights, trains, hotels etc. can be really stressful and overwhelming for me, and while a general problem, this is obviously a problem in an LDR especially. There is also P's work schedule to consider. I wish we had more autonomy but I can't and in fact right now I'm not even *allowed* to drive.
So what happened: my polycule suggested this UK meet months ago, and I was keen, but this was at the time just an idea. The plan was always to meet P, M et. al. after their break in capital city A in city B and then for the group to split so that P and I could do our own thing separately.
For various unfortunate reasons though (including awaiting an appointment for surgery and my social security review) I was first unable to commit until 2 weeks ago, when I had a hospital appointment (which was almost a 5 minute waste of time but that's another story) and then procrastinated on reserving hotels. (I was especially scared of being discharged if I rescheduled, and as a disabled person I am just scared of my government who frankly dislike and scapegoat disabled people.) I was also insecure about meeting meta and especially the friends. Finally money was both an issue and something I was pretending was not for reasons I'll explain below.
P tried to help me with hotel reservation but we were unable to complete it before they left their country last weekend. I can't remember why; I'm ashamed to say I might have just got distracted and panicked...
I have since had a busy/exhausting week engaged with advocacy service, family birthdays, therapy and a planned outing with friends--and so has P, with work before leaving and with the trip after. P suggested meeting me halfway at city C, and we could have a day trip there.
I had felt overwhelmed by the decision, so asked for help from my friends. Both my friends and partner kept emphasising that reservations as well as the kinds of long-haul trains I wanted would be 'expensive' and basically talking out of our plan B and plan C. It seems as if my not spending was the major consideration. At risk of sounding both privileged and irresponsible, which maybe I am; from a self-confidence standpoint I care less about spending a lot of money as a) proving to myself I can do these things and b) treating my partner to a nice experience after so long away from each other.
However I am also quite a people pleaser, especially towards P. Additionally deadlines absolutely cause me to panic and any form of timekeeping pressure. So if somebody shares an opinion strongly then I tend to just mirror them. This can often be a problem with Partner who has quite a lot of strong opinions and values, and also can be easily frustrated. They can also be impatient although I want to caveat that in many ways they have been *very* patient with me. It's hard to process. I keep wanting to blame myself or them. The point is that I don't like arguing with people and will let them talk me out of a situation if it means avoiding a fight. (I know this is a trauma response from my abandonment issues and seeing my parents fight while divorcing as a kid)
Partner initially said that since they were now spending time with meta they were unavailable and it was up to me to decide and plan my own arrangements. However they more or less suddenly changed their mind *the next day*, and said that they had to consider their own needs, had ditched any plans with me beyond meeting me at my home (plan D) and will meet me at my home this weekend.
I absolutely understand why P was stressed about pinning down a meet up date, place and time. Despite being completely fluent, they would be travelling in a foreign country after all. Perhaps I had been stubborn about 'wanting to see Meta and friends' while not considering or committing to the logistics of that, which I knew would exhaust me.
The problem was this flip in...willingness to grant me autonomy happened so suddenly I had no time to process it. I was on a bus home at the time. The period between "I think we should drop the holiday" and "I've bought a train directly to yours, meet me" was about 5-10 minutes of streaming IMs where I was in freeze response and unable to really engage.
Although they didn't see it (instead my friend did) I had a complete meltdown and panic attack as in my mind this was failure. I was already doing toxic comparison to Meta (who is wealthier, more relationally experienced, and has greater connections in the poly scene). My hometown is...it's a dump. I mean my local area is nice enough but...it's not a capital city or city break. I sense this is toxic but . Again it feels like personal failure, especially as I had told my family and *even my therapist and social worker* about the plans. So there is embarrassment on top of it, like disappointing P is disappointing *them* by proxy. Further I'm worrying that the fact I think P might even 'need' the entertainment of a big city is being sexist (and so misgendering). Finally I'm struggling to think of alternatives since I doubt they will want to spend the whole time in my apartment.
Nor is this the first time I have had a meltdown due to P being frustrated with how slow, tardy, indecisive I can get. In fact one happened when we went on vacation last year...because I took too long in the toilet before we left for the train. So...yeah, I know how important punctuality and efficiency is to P but I...still got caught off guard this time.
I spoke to my therapist today I'm thinking about whether it'd be good for us to have a one-off 'couples therapy' with my therapist (with P attending) and what I need to ask from my therapist. Fortunately my therapist is poly informed and practises it, which I think will help. However I don't think this is about 'poly' exactly, it seems to be about my own difficulties.
Beyond this I'm not sure what to do. Honestly I don't want to disturb P but also? This incident has caused me to check out of interest in their time with M and friends beforehand, (which I was previously following with interest) and lose some compersion. I have the distressed part of my brain telling me that I can avoid disappointing people if I just let them take control of everything and never say No or speak up. Especially with P it has seemed for a while that the best way to avoid annoying them is to just let them take the lead, because me trying to exercise my own autonomy just causes analysis paralysis and arguments leading to panic attacks/meltdowns/shame spirals...and tbqh that happens with everyone in my life which suggests it's a me problem. Generally I'm just low energy now, I'm tired and didn't sleep well or much.
I am worried I'm going to get dumped, and I am worried that this would be proof that I am not fit for at least poly dating if not dating in general. My mind takes P and M as representative of 'the ideal ENM individual' (read: high agency, extremely independent, values autonomy, effortless boundaries/assertiveness, highly efficient/no EF issues etc.) and I am projecting all of my insecurities and deficit in these faculties onto the whole damn scene.
How much of this boils down to bad communication, RSD and internalised ableism? Idk. I can tell that my mind is on a worry train now, and this whole thing is yet again as much about proving myself as capable to people as being in the moment. I worry that I won't be able to mentally solve this issue and I *have* to let go. Right now I need to clean this place up a little before the weekend. Any help appreciated

2024.05.14 14:12 MeadeSC10 Survivorship Bias as a metaphor for Chess

I'm probably explaining this terribly, but Survivorship Bias is a phenomenon whereas some bombers from WW2 on mission would make it back to the deployment airfield with damages, i.e., surviving the mission. Engineers incorrectly assessed that those bombers needed to be reinforced where the surviving bombers showed damage, i.e., primarily on the wings.
The problem was the bombers that did not return, did not survive, had crashed. Analysis eventually showed that the wings, although being crucial for flight, were not crucial for survivability, and hence those bombers that made it back had wing damage. They eventually figured out that engine, cockpit, and tail were the more important parts of the bomber and should be protected heavier so the bombers could survive more readily.
What does this have to do with Chess?
Well, if you consider survivability to equate to not losing a game, then tracking your "bombers" that you "lost in Flight", i.e., games you lost, as a way to indicate what to train seriously that are causing your losses, that is a good thing. By "Beefing" up your Endgame or Tactics (Cockpit or Tail section) based on tracking your losses and determining what is causing your losses, you avoid survivorship bias in your chess game. Many players train only on the things they find "fun", i.e., openings, maybe tactics, or train only on the things that are not brain intensive that cause fatigue. Studying endgames can be a real chore; looking over well-annotated games can be tiresome; playing training games from various tabiyas in your opening repertoire can be difficult. But if we only do the things we like that make us successful in some of our games, we are ignoring the flaws in our game that are responsible for our losses.
2c.

2024.05.14 09:04 murakami000 The surveillance of travelers in the European Union

Many people believe that the European Union is a happy oasis where one can move freely without any limits.
But if we look at some new laws, we get a very different picture, describing instead an increasingly pervasive and systematic physical surveillance system ready to follow our every step within the European borders.
There are two main areas where the European Union operates this surveillance: air transport within the EU borders and the new Entry/Exit system, which mostly concerns those coming from outside the EU.
It all starts with the Passenger Name Record (PNR), the passenger code to which all data related to air travel and more are linked (including hotel and car rental information if applicable).
The PNR became a surveillance tool with the EU Directive 2016/681, which regulates the use of booking code data (PNR) for the purposes of prevention, detection, investigation, and prosecution of terrorist offenses and serious crimes.
This surveillance does not only apply to those already suspected but to anyone, as also stated by the legislator:
Such controls are developed through the analysis of the information that each passenger provides to air carriers when booking the flight. It is a particularly extensive set of data that allows for significant analysis activities, at the outcome of which individuals who are not necessarily already known to the authorities may be identified but, due to the characteristics of the journeys made, appear worthy of further investigation for terrorism and other serious forms of crime...

2024.05.14 05:26 stlatos PIE *kVs > Germanic kVs as Optional

https://www.academia.edu/119041827

Grimm’s Law with Verner’s Law explain many consonant shifts in Germanic regularly, but some exceptions exist. Thurneysen’s Law concerns, in part, voicing dissimilation of nearby fricatives and has been interpreted as either irregular or due to unknown changes in Gothic, not of PGmc. date. In this framework I will attempt to add another type of dissimilation of fricatives, also at a distance and irregular, and necessarily of PGmc. date. Many, not all, PIE *kVs appear as Gmc. *kVs, likely due to regular *k > *x then optional *xVs > *kVs in PGmc. Also, *kVz might also be included, depending on the timing of *d > *t, *zd > *st, etc. (*kizdno-, below). This would be dissimilation of [+continuant] in fricatives, or similar changes in whatever system is accepted. Examples:

*kus-ne/ye- ‘kiss’ > H. kuwas-, G. kunéō, Ps. kṣulawul, Gmc. *kusja- > E. kiss, ON kyssa

*H2ak^- ‘sharp’ (in many names of bladed objects, etc.)
*H2ak^si-() ‘axe’ > G. axī́nē , L. ascia
*H2ak^si-wo-? > *H2ak^wisyo- > Go. aqizi, ON øx, OHG acchus, E. ax(e)

*kwa(H2)t(h)o- > Skt. kvath- ‘boil’, Go. hvaþō ‘foam’
*kwa(H2)so- > OBg kvasŭ ‘leaven / fermented drink’
*kwa(H2)s(e/i)yo- > L. cāseus ‘cheese’, *kwasja-z > ON Kvasir ‘a wise Van formed from the spit of gods, killed by dwarves who mixed his blood with honey to ferment into Mead of Poetry’

*kizd- ‘pine (sap) / turpentine pine’ >>
*kizdaH2- > Skt. cīḍā- ‘turpentine pine’
*kizdimo- > *kīḷima- > Skt. kilima-m ‘kind of pine’, A. kíilum ‘turpentine’ (*zd > ḷ after RUKI, as Vedic)
*kizdno- > Gmc. *kizna- > OE cén ‘fipine/spruce’, OHG kén

*H2ag^sulo- > ON öxull, OHG ahsala ‘shoulder’, NHG Achsel ‘armpit’, OE eaxl, E. axle
*H2ag^su- > *H2ak^su- > *aH2k^us-?, OHG uochisa \ uochsana , OE ócusta \ óxta \ óxn ‘armpit’

These are likely related to ‘axle’ < *H2ag^- ‘drive’, but the optional metathesis seems likely limited to Gmc., well after *gs > *ks, etc., *k > x, especially since the same type of metathesis produces *H2ak^wisyo- in a word certainly < *H2ak^- ‘sharp’. When several nearly identical roots vary only in having *k > k in Gmc., a specific change there is preferable to looking for several new roots with only evidence from one branch. Removing ‘axe’ from ‘sharp’ also seems misguided, and attempts to explain this in a reasonable manner would surely have found the common *kVs before now, if tried at all. Manaster Ramer’s idea that Go. aqizi comes from a compound with *-k^g- seems less likely due to the other cases with irregular *k > k all occurring before s, which shows that a sound change is responsible, not an individual explanation for each. Previous attempts to separate all these sets of words since *k > k is not regular do not seem needed if the specific environment *k-s is considered for all these. For example, Kloekhorst said, “The formal as well as semantic similarity to Gr. kunéō ‘to kiss’ (*ku-ne-s-) and OHG kussan ‘to kiss’ is striking. Nevertheless, the Hittite verb cannot be cognate to both, since Gr. k- does not regularly correspond to OHG k-.” Once might be coincidence, but with 5 good examples, the support for this change (or lack of change) seems sufficient. Separating nearly identical words because *k seems to become k shows that a search for only what is clearly regular and a dependence on what is already known as regular has hindered the growth of historical linguistics.

Several other words, less clear, might show that *k-k > k-k could be included:
Li. kaĩras \ kaĩrias \ kairỹs ‘left’, kairė̃ ‘left hand’, Gmc. *kaika- > ON keikr ‘bent backwards’, Dan. kei ‘left hand’

An even less certain case of *x-x > *k-x might be:
*xux- > *kux- > OE cohhetan ‘blusteriot/cough’, Dutch kuch, E. cough

Though this seems to be onomatopoeia within Gmc., thus *xux- has no outside evidence, languages with [x] often have words for ‘cough’ start with this, like:
Khw. xaf-, NP xaf-, Os. xuf-

Though uncertain, such speculation is only possible due to good evidence for *kVs > kVs. The sporadic nature of Thurneysen’s Law seems matched by, at least, this change in all of Gmc., making its nature and scope as PGmc. in age more likely. That these changes were optional need not be evidence they did not exist at all. Any attempt can only lead to absurdities and chaos, all unneeded.

Solution

We write the following script p1.dfx in esProc:
A
1 =connect("demo")
2 =A1.query@x("SELECT * FROM EMPLOYEE").sort(EID).align@as(eid.split@pc(),EID)
Explanation:
Set a script parameter eid, whose value is 9,7,5,3.
A1 Connect to the database named demo.
A2 Return query result as a table sequence and auto-close database connection when the query is finished. Sort the table sequence fist by EID then by the comma-separated sequence of numbers defined through parameter eid. Put the non-matching members at the end during the second sort.
Refer to How to Call an SPL Script in BIRT to learn about the method of integrating the SPL script with BIRT.

Exeter City Season 7: 3 Pressing Questions as Exeter Prepare for Season 2 in the Premier Leauge
After Exeter City secured safety in their first-ever Premier League season, with four matches remaining, the fans' hearts, and the backroom staff's minds, all turned toward the upcoming season. Exeter's season was marked by thrilling highs (a 6-1 thrashing of West Ham, a convincing victory over Tottenham) and shocking lows (a 1-6 loss to LUTON TOWN of all teams, a pasting 1-5 by an ascendant Arsenal), but manager Andy Maher remained steady at the controls.
With the summer 2029 transfer window slammed shut and the new-look teams having played a few matches, we run the rule over the teams in the 2029-2030 Premier League. Up today, the south coast side Exeter City, the only fan-owned team in the Premier League. With the Supporter's Trust helping contribute to financial operations and the canny Julian Tagg still directing the football side of things, Exeter look to consolidate their precarious position and craft a long-term place in the top flight.
Exeter finished their season in a commendable 13th place, with an impressive attacking line that was able, sometimes, to overcome the worst defense outside of the relegation zone. Known usually for a solid backline, Exeter's players were generally exposed by the pace and attacking verve of the Premier League. Only Sonny Cox and the rest of the attack, who posted the league's 8th best scoring record, kept Exeter afloat.
https://preview.redd.it/1u8kinxnfa0d1.png?width=616&format=png&auto=webp&s=ae29e48269936f51392d1e89c08201b630a33d35
Cox, in partnership with assists co-leader Idrissa Camara, led the Premier League with a stunning 27 goal tally in 38 appearances, topping Chelsea's Nkunku by 3 goals.
As Exeter turn to the new season, we ask three pressing questions of the team and examine the answers to find out if Exeter can repeat the trick, or if their security in the top flight is merely an illusion.
Question 1: Will the defense improve?
Whether down to tactics or formation, or players themselves, Exeter's defense in the 2028-29 season was lacklustre at best. Many point to the relatively thrifty spend in 2028-29, with only Jordan Storey and Etienne Kinkoue coming through the door to bolster the ranks last season.
This season looks already off to a different start. While Exeter continue to parsimoniously clutch the purse strings, they sold some excess players and finally made a significant, record-smashing, splash in the transfer pool, this time bolstering the backline.
Exeter splashed £22.5m to sign Czech Republic international star Martin Vitik away from Salernita, who escaped relegation by just a few points in Serie A. Able to offer improved wages and a competitive environment, Exeter had clearly committed to improving the defense here.
https://preview.redd.it/h7kuk06rfa0d1.png?width=624&format=png&auto=webp&s=6404ef1fdc28f0f63a70fec072fd675b08da639b
"We saw a number of transfers out early in this window, where players had not quite fit in, or even where we decided, as much as we wanted to keep the man, we needed to fund improvements across the squad," said Tagg. "Last year we saw a net spend for the first time ever, and while we are very far from the spending limits imposed by the EFL, we need to make sure we balance the books. So this was a very involved, drawn out, patient process that we were only able to conclude in late August."
In keeping with Exeter's thrifty ways, they added another option to the midfield as well. "We really felt that if we could possess the ball better, maybe use David's skill set to break up plays more, and add another player there, we might see improvements across the whole defense," said Maher in an interview. "So we managed to convince Mateusz that we were the best option for him."
https://preview.redd.it/42qm1upufa0d1.png?width=621&format=png&auto=webp&s=aa1023b98c02609d700604365462115fed2e8a45
With Kowalczyk now roving the middle of the pitch, Exeter truly have competition at the central midfield position, and have the flexibility to move some of their talented pieces around the board. "Mateusz really freed up and gave us some interesting lineup choices, and you saw that in some of these early matches where we came out and surprised people," said Maher.
The new look for Exeter's base 4-2-3-1 looks like this, with Kowalczyk pushing forward into a CAM role, while Camara plays just slightly forward of Watson, who remains in a true defensive midfielder role. Hlynsson moves wide to the left, while Clark has the right touchline to himself. The new partnership of Storey and Vitik protects the center, while young starlet Maguire has impressed at right back, and former Exeter Academy man Ben Chrisene slots into the left wingback position.
Time will tell, but early results are promising. A rocky 3-2 win over Brighton was followed with a much more competent series of performances. Pundits are optimistic that Exeter can improve last season's defensive performance, and fans can only hope that the starting line avoids serious injury.
Question 2: Can Exeter keep their stars?
A smashing season from Cox, the silky smooth midfielder Camara, wide man Bobby Clark, the revelation of young fullback Rory Maguire-- these are the main men around whom Exeter has built its team. With Cox and Camara both having played with the squad since their League One days, there's an intuitive chemistry and connection built over hundred and thousands of hours on the training ground. Meanwhile. Clark has impressed on the wing, as the former central midfielder enjoys the space to threaten opposing fullbacks with his craft.
"We had one major bid for Sonny [Cox]," revealed Tagg recently, "but it was miles still from our valuation, and this is about more than just money anyway; Sonny has told us he will stay with us as long as he can, as long as our trajectory for success matches his. We go where Sonny takes us." The bid, which remains undisclosed, was regarded by some as an attempt to pry away a future world-class leader, at a cut-rate price. One indignant fan noted, "Just because we're Exeter and a small club doesn't mean they can offer rubbish fees." With goal scoring on par with elite teams like Chelsea, some were surprised by the rumors of the fee offer. Still, a handful of commentators, looking at Exeter's profit margins and football operations, noted that Exeter take a risk in declining a major fee--even a low offer. "£40, 50, 60 million? That would be huge for Exeter to take in, and then to reinvest across multiple positions of the squad," one said.
"What good is that reinvestment if you can't score in the Prem," replied Gibbons in her analysis of Exeter's roster. "Cox proved last season he could score here, that's invaluable to the team. We've seen too many failed major purchases-- even Exeter signed a player who was a bust at this level."
Exeter did lose a handful of significant players in the transfer window. Published estimates from football bloggers show that Exeter currently enjoy a small profit on sales, although this is subject to official confirmation.
Much of Exeter's reputed profit came from three sales. Moving on from failed striker Erik Botheim, Exeter unload the player and his contract to Bristol City for £9.9m. Kinkoue, who never really broke through into the first team with any consistency, accepted terms with Middlesbrough.
But the shock move was relegated Crystal Palace, desperate to shore up its bid for immediate promotion, buying Ngoma for £17.1m. The promising American winger showed great potential last season and was 2nd in assists for Exeter. His touch and crossing acumen helped Exeter through a challenging spring season and some thing that his departure is a significant dent in Exeter's futures.
https://preview.redd.it/u3dtrri3ga0d1.png?width=1256&format=png&auto=webp&s=5ade1c2f9d7f11b2f808252150e630f9fb2791dd
Ultimately, Exeter made few moves to bring in players, counting on a smaller number of hopefully shrewd choices to lead the way. As Gibbons notes, "There was some roster bloat last season; even with many players out on loan, Exeter carried more players than they could really find time for. This was a smart offseason to make a profit on academy graduates, while still identifying the core players who will help the team.
The season looks promising, with star man Cox already notching 4 goals in 6 appearances, while Camara and Clark both have tallied 2 goals and 1 assist each.
Gyokeres hasn't lost much of step, with 2 assists and a goal to his name.
Meanwhile, young star in the making Rory Maguire continues his run of excellent form. The young fullback had a bad day at the Carabao Cup, but has put in stellar shifts in the Premier League, and is quickly becoming one of Exeter's top choices in the back line. With his work, Exeter already have two clean sheets in the league.
https://preview.redd.it/h3drn3b6ga0d1.png?width=625&format=png&auto=webp&s=bef145182381d710da2ac09c87b4f4f16df2084d
A new star is rising in the defense also, with another academy product impressing in duty. Sebastian Benson, another 20-year-old defender, has been earning minutes in the starting XI and as one of the first off the bench. The centre-back is explosive in short areas and a dominating aerial talent to win headers away from even the fiercest attackers.
https://preview.redd.it/xgmf1mrdga0d1.png?width=830&format=png&auto=webp&s=6516c3628a14539f245f6611c130e5bc3aed8936
Question 3: What tactics will Exeter adopt to maximize their players?
With Gyokeres and Cox both on the field, Exeter found themselves in a surprising bind: The two forwards would either force Exeter into something like a 4-4-2, and thus push either defensive midfielder Medon Berisha or attacking midfielder Kristian Hlynsson to the substitute's bench, OR, Exeter could drop into a 5-man back line, and sacrifice the talented winger Bobby Clark to the exigencies of the formation.
Exeter usually chose the 4-4-2, and the gamble SOMETIMES worked in Exeter's favor. Analyst Beth Gibbons explains: "When Gyokeres is on the pitch with Cox, this is a dangerous and pacey attack. Gyokeres has proven adept at both holdup play where he links Cox to the midfield, and at running onto balls from the wings or from Camara, who's incredibly talented as a passer. But if Camara and [midfielder David] Watson get forward, there's nothing in front of that back four to protect against the counter, and Exeter were exposed frequently there.
But if Watson stays back to shield that line, or if Maguire doesn't track forward, Exeter were too one-dimensional, and really strong defenses absolutely stymied the attack.
Exeter have adopted a more flexible approach this year, including a surprise 5-4-1 that absolutely gobsmacked Manchester City in the early running this season.
Gibbons on the new look: "This was a real surprise, as it put Camara deeper than usual. But it was incredibly effective as it provided two defenders to cover Haaland, and freed the wing backs to come inside to help against the centre-mids, or to cover those wide wingers. Maguire's work against Foden was absolutely stellar, as he stymied the England international all match."
The lineup for the shock win over Man City
Exeter put on a defensive clinic against the champions, winning 2-0 in style, with a Cox brace to lead the team. Camara was incisive as usual, but the real hero was Watson in the middle to cut off the Manchester transition, and Maguire wide, who posted 6 successful tackles against Foden and won almost every battle on that side.
Exeter shifted onto the attack for its match against Brighton and revealed a swashbuckling 4-3-3 with a fascinating double-pivot in the midfield. "The one defensive midfielder was often over-run," said Maher in a podcast interview after the match. "So we took the usual midfield triangle and inverted it, giving us two men to break up attacks. Idrissa's so good at launching after an interception or a tackle, so we let him sit deep and orchestrate, but he has free roam of that side of the pitch, to work into space more or push forward. So he and Matty [Kowalczyk] act almost like 2 attacking mids when we had the ball, but then he comes back to defense really quickly."
Wide, Gyokeres and Clark pushed up field and menaced the fullbacks. Brighton struggled with this positioning and gave up goals to both of the wide men, while Cox facilitated with an assist and a number of key passes.
The positional flexibility has been impressive from the Grecians, and Exeter now sit 5th in the table after six matches. The most impressive stretch has come in September, with matches against Manchester City, Tottenham, and Arsenal. Most fans would have been ecstatic to come away with one draw in those 3 matches, and maybe add one point to the total from those three. Instead, Exeter took points in every one of the matches, including the clean sheets against Manchester City and Arsenal.
Recent Results
"If you told us, draws against two teams there, any fan would have taken it, right?" said Maher in the post-game press conference after the Arsenal match. "A clean sheet against Arsenal? Absolutely, you take that. But the fans have been excellent in their support, and the lads stepped up and executed against Manchester, and all of a sudden, they have this confidence to go out like they did. We fell behind against Tottenham but got the 82nd-minute equalizer because they never quit, they feel like they can go against any team."
With the 5-game unbeaten streak, Exeter have laid down a marker that they wager they'll improve on last season's finish, and they're a danger to take points from any of the usual Big Six. "We're not scared," said Idrissa Camara. "We're hungry. Everyone else should be scared."
The Verdict:
Exeter look to have improved the defense and kept the most important cogs in the attack, although there are rumors that some elite Champions League sides are eying up winger Clark. The lineups will be a man-management challenge for the coaching staff, as there are simply a few too many great midfielders to balance out--someone has to drop to the substitute's bench. If Maher and the staff can manage playing time and player expectations, this will be an exciting team to watch this season. Our prediction: 10th place.
Player notes: PC, mods include gameplay mods (Anth James), Career Realism Mod (PaulV) and homemade loan/transfecontract mods to improve free agency.
Full ruleset can be found here. Sheet 1 details general rules and principles; subsequent sheets track transfers and finances.
Finances are paramount for a small club. The first season in the Prem, we operated with a net spend in the transfer window, to bring in important players that bolster the squad. Last season was the first season (out of 6) to see this spending. Maybe I'll do a finances post soon because I find that stuff fascinating.
Randomizer for transfers; transfer targets are limited to +1 over position average, with 1 player per year allowed to be significantly beyond that. This season, we targeted a CB to improve the defense and lucked into the signing of Vitik. He was actually our 3rd choice-- there was a top-notch free agent but we lost him to Chelsea and thus we had to wait for some player sales before we could afford a move.
For transferring players at or below the team average, I use a very simple weighted randomizer that's built into my google sheets. For the players that are +2 or more beyond the team average, I use https://5ungc6-joseph-boyd.shinyapps.io/FifaDiceRoll/ crafted by another excellent member of this subreddit. It changes the probability of signings depending on how far above the average your intended signing is.

2024.05.13 22:29 goodnewsjimdotcom GAME RELEASE! Starfighter General first official lasting MMO patch. Space is boring, so you must design around making it fun, and all good mmos now are designed around end game.

A video of some random game play: https://youtu.be/EK2xB3xCFjQ

If you want to jump in and play: https://store.steampowered.com/app/658480/Starfighter_General/

I'm trying to make the spiritual successor to Xwing for 90s DOS everyone craved, but Lucas Arts never delivered. I was also inspired by Wing Commander Privateer who's title led me to imagining building a giant fleet by buying more and more ships and making friends.
It has a bunch of bugs but these will be fixed in a week or two. It's still pretty fun and a base by which a HUGE HUGE potential WOW killer will be made on. fairly long patch notes of a subset of what I plan on doing in the future are at the bottom.

My take Diablo2 skill tree/Path of Exile Talent tree: https://youtu.be/E8h9E4lw2jk?si=LVK8hQOtWez6Riwy&t=16 Very pretty to watch.

I'm exhausted... I spent close to a year on this patch... And the last 3 months was nothing but sleep, code, sleep, code, body necessities, balanced against being stress sick, normal sick, and trying not to break down due to being isolated non stop working... About 2000 hours in this patch alone, on top of 10,000 hours in the past 6 years before that, and I use an anthology of game resources that took me 20,000 hours to make. There's some bugs due to Unity compiling standalone improper from editor, but they'll be fixed, as well as the story line not in... It's a spoiler, but people say my SCI FI is better than any scifi man's ever written, it's at least good:

GROUND COMBAT FORM II) One is tactical Real Time Turn Based Game(RTTG) from top down, almost isometric. RTTG will give you the feel of a classic orthogonic chess like game with cover, vision and such, yet everyone plays at the same time. RTTG mode happens when you enter populated towns, not because the server can't handle infinite players in a small zone, but because it feels more intense when any action and fight can start from the shadows. Movement is freer and faster when no one has fights going on nearby.
GROUND COMBAT FORM III)One is a 3d Fighter Game you'd see in Arcades from the 90s, but with the ability to change targets.
Starfighter General is the Everything Game. And it's for real. Let me know what you want me to dev next. Virtual Goods buys lets me sub contract parts out to make the game faster. Talk about what you want, and if you got the money, be a driver, push this game's development faster. I'm a 64x coder, people who meet me don't believe people like me exist, so I get things done... I just have literally 0$ funding at the moment. You'll see things in Starfighter General you thought were impossible and things never done before... Be a believer, or heck, just play and enjoy.
KNOWN BUGS: 1) Iron ore is called a book 2) Collision detection on giant space ships is clunky and can be very annoying if you get close 3) Vision obscuring of mesh fog in junk yard 4) Laser angle not straight 5) TEXT RENDDER DEPTH of chatting aliens, or targetting computer needs fixed so always visible.

2024.05.13 22:22 goodnewsjimdotcom Starfighter General official lasting MMO patch, I tried to make space fun.

-> What's next timelinie

NOTES:COMING SOON, AND FORECAST->Story missions non stop, techs around em, story's awesome!

Future Patches ->Non Stop Missions in Star System Sol until that story arc panned out and the next enters.
->Bounty System:Allows Player vs Player... Except people who don't want to be doing PVP will get insurance refund money of damages if/when the offending player pays up or gets captured as Bounty.
->70,000ish star stystems per core, 24 cores to dive.
->Warp drive lets you see actual stars warp by you that exist, aim for the star you want to explore, hit warp.
->Space Opera of partially Ai driven, partially Next Gen personality Memento system to have realistic aliens who grudge match you or befriend you.
->Unlimited player MMO
->Fleet building and Fleet Destroying, soft perma death hardcore means its a thrill of the rise and thrill of fall, rinse and repeat! Aim for higher personal bests of fleet sizes
-> Star System capture, control, taxing, law imposing. People can challenge to take over your star in an 2 hour window where your friends are on... If they're not on, AI will use their craft. So build big alleginances for star control power.
->Better UI hull/shields/armoetc such as NES style Brick Icons for stats ->Transfer between shields/thrusteweapons power
->more sanity loss special effects
->Radar
->Better targetting
->Multi Targetting of friend/foe/neutral/quest...
->Fleet General Commands to allies of flight style: ie defend me, skirmish(fight optimally), attack target, bomb target, evasive manuevars, flee(rout) ta
->Weapon escalation: I) rockets/homing missile/cluster rockets, rocket spam mitigated by chaff, ECM, or a bold force shield ejection II) Lasers will always hit, and heat up your ship, so you're encouraged to rotate your ship's sides to absorb heat in multiple places. III) Bombs you need to travel in a straight line without much damage for 7 seconds ->very long range for shelling bases out of turret range IV) Rail Gun V) Destroyers/Capital Ships VI)
->Bounty Combat PVP system
->Magic enabled
->Cockpit overlays
->Custom Attribute Allocation to stats you prefer from leveling up.
->96 most bilious bosses
->More Galactic News Network tickers
->Enable reduction in manueverability based on encumberance, volume limit of cargo
->Crafting based on real world Molecular structures, make materials out of periodic chart elements, and use those materials to make gears, levers, switches, interchangeable parts of a variety of styles. .Hopefully this becomes educational to people entering Chemistry Class later and beneficial to humanity.
->Favorite foods, drink, sanity preservation
->Elaborate 16 supernatural elemental magic systems
->traders and galactic encounters randomly, get cosmos gems to access untold areas, maps of places no one can get to...
->Secret, get ingame podcasts when available by hitting alt+p, ALT+P AGAIN CYCLES THROUGH THEM, CTRL+P CLOSES EM,
-Memento system
-Scientific items system elaborations evident
-power recover of various systems rates, shots costing powers
-Allegiance & Dark Allegiance system where by helping others or the illusion of helping them raises your power, fame, and status in the Galaxy.
-Live Omnipotent roleplay
--MMO Mode leaderboards such as EXP
--More enemies with fun catch phrases?
--what ASPECTS DO YOU WANT WORKED ON MORE? Send ideas and buy triderium. Forums or email is cool.
--multi drops, more rares, uncommons
--more advanced inventory->Scroll deeper, limited by volume, weight slows your thrust + adds collision damage & kickback, sort with different filters, better descriprtion, items catch on fire in inventory, emit toxic gases, melt, get destroyed by oncoming heat attacks or collisions
--Ability to dimensionally recover items picked up previous session... You have em saved on server, just can't see when you load until next patch.... Use upgrades when you got em!
-Conquer Stars and setting taxes and laws
-story history replay dialogue
-more achievements
-Asteroids properly breakinto more than oen
-Give android race an android sounding voice
--Three forms of Ground Combat: GROUND COMBAT FORM I) One is a classical First Person Shooter (FPS) with vehicles.
Enable Prime Skils(21):
Attribute is the attribute that influences the skill, Min Int is the minimum intelligence to acquire skill, skill point costs is the number of skill points required (each intelligence you get 1 point), and the name, well, that's the Name:
Mining ships, transport friggates, shipping containers, tugs, destroyers, capital ships, limi
Closing about determination and the long play... If you're of meager means like myself... You can enjoy the challenge MMODE over the long haul... Always getting stronger, never weaker, the ship upgrades, your level, your ascended masteries, your money, your credits, and most of all your own skill level and reflexes that you don't notice but is always increasing.
