2024.05.16 07:57 HospitalHairy5133 Root cellar cookie dupe?

I absolutely love the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies they have at the Root Cellar checkout (individually wrapped, big) I love how chewy they are and have the perfect colour. I’ve tried a few recipes and can’t seem to find a close match. Does anyone happen to have the recipe or a really close match?

New cookie dough
Today we tried the new cookie dough from PM. We did a side by side with Tollhouse on the right and PM on the left. All I can say is yuck. Will not be buying it again. Sad. I really liked their old recipe. 😢

2024.05.16 04:17 kwheels2013 Ninja creami for sensitive bods

I’ve been trying multiple creami recipes. The best ones I’ve made have been with artificial sweeteners (in a cutting phase). Stevia messes with my hormones, monkfruit caused cramps for days and aspartame caused headaches. Xantham gum cramps me also.
So…I’m looking for a way for my almond milk based recipes to not be so bland. Fairmilk enzymes upset my stomach also. I can try 1% milk, or adding a bit to the almond milk for smoothness and see if I can do that. I’ve also read some put a TBS of coconut flour in and that helps dense it up. Maybe a few TBS of Greek yogurt??
Then comes the flavor question…I can add a banana or fruit, flavoring drops..
If any of you are more sensitive, can you pls share your base recipes?

2024.05.15 21:47 melodiclyrics Caramel Ribbon Crunch and Mocha Cookie Crumble recipes

Hi Everyone,
I was a barista about 4 years ago, then came back for a part-time gig while I continue to look for work in my field.
Anyway, my store is a licensed location and I'm pretty sure everyone is just free styling these, and the recipe cards I found were from 2016 and are super outdated. I have asked my store manager to print out the current recipe cards, but our store is...chaotic, and she never gets around to it.
Could someone please tell me the build for both of these? I want to make sure I'm making them right and get all of us on the same page.

2024.05.15 21:25 Alternative_Ask9770 I'm a new baker; Would classes be a mistake?

Sorry if this isn't where I should post this, I'm just a bit nervous and don't know where else this would go.
I really enjoy baking and it's something I can see myself enjoying doing as a living, but I've never really been good at it. I tried to make cakes and pastries before, and they also ended up badly. Recently, I found some cookies recipes and a brownie recipe I can make just fine and it gave me some hope in my bakes, but after trying to make some bagels, cinnamon rolls, and bread that all failed, I'm scared I'll go to school and everyone else will actually know how to bake and I'll flunk out. Should I be better at this before starting? Does anyone know if they teach me basics like how to bake bread to not be so dense or have a flying crust or should I have these things down before starting?
This is at one of my city's community colleges btw and I have a scholarship that would make classes free, just for extra info.

2024.05.15 20:48 Difficult_Monitor_57 Would this be nasty lol

I had this epiphany but am concerned it will be nasty. I love Asian food, I also am currently tracking calories and macros.
My idea is to make a sauce but instead of using juice, to use Sugar Free Tampico (juice). I am making the recipe up but am going to put in
Then pairing with some lean ground beef, and potatoes.
Thoughts? I have tried to look up if anyone has done this before but haven't seen anything

I couldn’t resist trying one shortly after the photo was taken, and when they’re still fairly warm, the cookies melt in your mouth.

2024.05.15 19:50 Marissa_on_the_town Happy Chocolate Chip Day

Chocolate chip cookies came to be a beloved baked good purely by accident. In 1938, Ruth Wakefield was managing the Toll House Inn with her husband Kenneth ran in Whitman, Massachusetts.
Now she has a special cookie recipe that was called Butter Drop Do, and it required crumbled bakers' chocolate. However, she ran out if this chocolate, so as a substitute she used chopped Nestle semi-sweet chocolate bar with hopes that it would melt and mic into the batter.
That's what she wanted but instead they pieces retained their shape and were baked into the cookies that way, leading to the creation of the first batch of chocolate chip cookies. They soon gained popularity as Toll House Chocolate Crunch Cookies and, much like Barbie, have been evolving to be a taste for everyone for years to come
So tell me, what's your favorite kind of cookie? 😊🍪

2024.05.15 19:30 Southern_Hat_372 What have I done wrong....

What have I done wrong....
I know this question has probably been answered but I couldn't find it for this specific recipe, I'm not very competent at baking, but I know I can follow a recipe, which is what I have done here. Is there a step these people leave out just to mess with the general populas, I have included a link to the recipe below, which I followed to a T. Alas they turned out flat and mulched together, even if I had less on the tray I feel they would have just kept expanding. Any information would be great... am I just being over confident in my reading ? Or am I not cut out for this life (purposely being OverDramatic)
Thanks Nate

2024.05.15 18:10 frogodil3 Can I make cookies using graham flour instead of all purpose flour?

I'm interested in making cookies that have a graham cracker taste. Can I achieve that by using a normal chocolate chip cookie recipe and swapping the all purpose flour out with graham flour? Would it be a 1-to-1 swap, or should I do 50% AP and 50% graham? Thanks!

Honey ginger
Shredded a ton of ginger a while ago and put it in honey. I thought I would make teas with it but I’m not a fan. Any ideas on how to use it up? I figured perhaps cookies or muffins, but I would appreciate recipes, I am especially concerned about having too strong of a ginger taste.
