Need for speed carbon online play

My partner didn’t file taxes for a few years in a row and we are trying to get him caught up. For tax year 2022, he took FMLA leave and was paid through an insurance company that the state works with to pay employees for a state medical leave program.
I have his W2 from his employer that year but when I check his transcript on IRS.gov website, I can see that he was issued a 1099-G from that insurance company, which includes the dollar amount he received but some details are truncated (eg full name of the issuer of the 1099-g, Tax number). It shows that no tax from that income source was withheld.
I am using FreeTaxUSA to try to prepare his return, and he does not have the 1099-g form. Is this something I need in order to file? Can I just report the income that I see on the IRS website or will need to submit the 1099-g to actually file? I’ve been trying to get it online but can’t figure out where to get it from.
He will almost certainly owe taxes for the year rather than get a refund, not sure if that makes a difference.

Comments on balance (I know lol but seriously, the score is very well balanced, let me explain)
It's very difficult to balance a score as perfectly as this one has been - it's supposed to be a satirical, over-the-top in its patriotism, and yet genuinely enjoyable as background music. Now adding to this already challenging tightrope to walk, the composer also had to add in an element that reflected that this is a sci-fi situation as well - which isn't exactly easy to do because across the world patriotism is associated with orchestral sound while sci-fi is associated with synths. The composer seems to have chosen to tastefully layer the sci-fi synth elements in subtly into the orchestral sounds so that they don't stand out but still drive the music. The best example of this in theme is the frenetic pulsating beat that underpins the first section of the theme (up to 1:36). Listen for what sounds like a consistent thudding underneath the orchestra where timpani would usually be. Around 1:46 you'll hear synths with a delay on them which is also a classic sci-fi score element. The composer pulls off this four-dimensional challenge all while following up the original game's score with one that has more depth, emotion, and tells more a story.
Which brings me to the story this score tells (this part is subjective and mainly my interpretation of it)
To me the score tells a story across its 3 sections - First it starts off with the feeling of righteousness and the call of a greater cause. It is over the top and focused in the way that military propaganda usually is. At 1:38 we reach a dramatic and almost sudden end to that state of mind with the horns landing strong on a root.
In this section we are plunged into a feeling of sinister mystery with a GORGEOUS violin part lamenting at the tragedy of the realities of war. To me this section reflects the heart-rending realities of sending young people to die horrific deaths and the strings mourn them with a melody that seems to function like the inverse of the main melody from the previous section (I'm sure there's a music theory term for this, and I haven't studied theory so I won't attempt to guess it).
The next section begins with a buildup and an interesting key change the lifts us from the melancholy into renewed but measured hope, and a beautiful crescendo featuring a more traditional percussion section and powered by a very tasteful choir arrangement that blends with the horns as they fall away. This section imo pays tribute to the Helldivers' sacrifice and the scale at which the galactic war is fought. The piano with the huge reverb at the end to me places the main melody in the vastness of space, reflecting the setting.
Overall, this score is a triumph that really needs to be appreciated more as a beautifully executed piece of music. It's refreshing to hear a theme that uses a real orchestra and choir, as opposed to many video game scores that opt for a MIDI recreation which usually falls short of sounding convincing. I guess they really didn't scrimp on the budget of the score considering it was recorded at Abbey Road and Ocean Way, both of which are names associated with legendary musicians. I do hope the composer sees this somehow, as he really set the stage for a spectacular experience.

I have been waiting for this feature for a long time, and now that it's finally here, it feels underwhelming. It only works about half of the time, other times I need to scrub the song to get it to start lossless, and sometimes the music just cuts off and playing the next song does nothing, it only plays silence. I have to choose a different album or playlist to get it to play music again.

So a few months ago I started noticing a weird issue while playing games. Build is a Ryzen 5800x, 6700xt, 32gb 3600mhz ram, on a b550 asus motherboard. Games would randomly start being very choppy and the audio would start sounding robotic and distorted. Would usually only happen for 5-10 seconds and would stop but it was at complete random. Didn't matter how long the pc had been on, which version driver I was on, what game I was playing, it would just happen and quit. After a while I just tried to ignore it but man was it annoying. Until yesterday. I was sitting at the computer messing with the fan curve on MSI Afterburner with the statistics up when the stutteaudio issue happened (COD was open in the background). I looked at the statistics and the VRAM usage went from 20ish% usage to max, lasted for a few seconds, then fell back down and the stuttering/audio issue stopped. Now I have previously repasted the card and added thermal pads to the back of the ram chips (AMD "reference" card) so I don't believe heat was the issue. I did however end up turning Resize Bar off because I know it affects how the VRAM is accessed. Since turning Resize Bar off I have not had a single issue. No stutter, no robotic noises, nothing. Has been running perfectly.
My question is if this is a driver issue, a cpu issue, or if I need to look into replacing the GPU (vram controlle vram chip issue?)

Bought a house less than a year ago, advertised as having the metal roof completely redone/resealed two months before sale.
LOL. Liars.
I have, in the last 6 months, encountered no less than EIGHT (8) leaks, one bad enough it flooded my kitchen. I keep sealing them just to have more crop up.
Obviously I need to completely re-seal my roof because this is getting ridiculous.
However. I’m juuuust a tiny bit poor (female, low-level government employee, single income household). So my brother and my dad and I will be doing it ourselves. Don’t worry, they know how to use tools and stuff.
This is where the mad genius comes into play: roof sealant. Since I need to re-do my roof entirely, I’d like to change the color from red to green. I have a few ideas below and please tell me if they’ll work or if I’m a nut. I’ll list them in order of cheapest to most expensive options (aka the order I’d prefer to do them in).

1. Find a green roof paint and paint the metal roof everywhere except in a two-inch border around all screw holes/joints, then do a green silicone sealant (GACO) on those areas in thiiiick coats.
   
2. Do the whole roof in an ACRYLIC elastomeric in green.
   
3. Do the whole roof in an acrylic elastomeric in green and then go over seams and screw holes with silicone (GACO) in green.
   
4. Do the whole roof in GACO and cry into my ramen for the next year.
   
5. Marry a millionaire and forget I even lived in a fixer upper in a low income area (listen. It’s not my first choice, but it’s valid, right?)

After many years of frustration interspersed with a few sublime shots per round, I had a breakthrough at the driving range. I finally answered the question, "Why can I hit my irons, hybrids, and fairway woods most of the time, but my driver ALWAYS slices or pushes ? (right - I am a right handed golfer).
The answer was staring me in the face the whole time. It's because my club face is open to the target at the moment I make contact. It's just that "simple." What to do about it? I've slowed down my swing. I've shortened my backswing. I've paid attention to my wrists for maybe the first time ever.
Last week at the range, I hit a small bucket of balls with my driver and, friends, I hit some fucking bombs. I know the average distance in this sub is probably like 260 in the air, so I'm not going to try to compete by bragging about my humble numbers, lol (/S /S /S), but I felt so happy I let out a whoop. Straight, high, far, and on-target, over and over again, on purpose.
Naturally, I went to my favorite public course, which is just gorgeous and also challenging, and my old habits crept back in. By the third hole, it seemed like no matter what I did, if I shot for the left side of the fairway, my ball would curve all the way over to the right side of the fairway. Fringe, bunkers, cart path, woods.
The difference: On FIVE holes of this round of 18, I fucking flushed it and put big drives in the dead center of the fairway. Those five perfect drives led to Par, Par, Bogey, Par, Bogey. My goodness, it felt amazing.

You're not going to learn as well if you're constantly frustrated, the presenter said. Your students need to see and feel "success" (or a smaller version of "SUCCESS") as they learn. It keeps them engaged and focused on goals.
Here's how I apply this to golf, and maybe you should too: When I'm playing by myself, I either don't take a scorecard (or don't fill it in, and keep it for the yardages and course map), OR I score it, but give myself every advantage I can.
That's what I did yesterday: If sliced my driver, I just teed up another ball and hit it again (I'd retrieve the first ball if possible). If I skulled an approach shot with my five hybrid (one of my go-to clubs), I simply walked up to where it bounced to and hit it again, not counting the muffed shot.
If I missed a five foot putt, I grabbed the ball and did it again.
At the end of the round, I only counted the shots I hit that didn't get lost or get ugly.
Final "score" after 18: 90. Probable "real" score, if you count the whiffs, lost balls, and mulligans: 100 - 105.
Do I go around telling people "I shoot in the low 90s". Fuck no. I tell them I enjoy golf and I'm always trying to improve. But now I have a benchmark, and something to look forward to, and something to compare myself to when I play a real round, with friends or with strangers I get paired up with on the course.
As a disclaimer: I am well aware of course etiquette and I take it seriously. I had two slow foursomes ahead of me, and literally no one behind me. So that left me plenty of time for my secret mulligans. The starter saw me all alone with two balls on the green at one point, and he just waved at me and kept moving. So I was not obnoxious about this.
I guess I know people who are hard on themselves on the course, even if there's no one else there. The way I did it yesterday was fun. It's good to remind yourself to have fun sometimes.
p.s. I also signed up for a lesson this week. I want my teacher to better explain to me what I'm doing right, so I can replicate it, as well as what I'm doing wrong. It will be worth the money and the hour of my time for sure.

I'm looking for a packable backpack that has a breathable back and external lashing to store a jacket.
It will be my non-luggage pack once I'm at my destination for commuting to a casual office environment, getting around urban settings, and hiking.
Current solution: Osprey Daylight. It flattens pretty well, barely fits my laptop, and has some back padding and ventilation, but no external lashing.
The direct upgrade, the Daylight Plus, is just a bit bigger and thicker, which makes pack-ability a bit harder, and has a shove pocket that isn't quite big enough for a jacket. So I'm looking for something better, preferably a bit less material and with lashing or at least lashing points.
For breathability, I think it would need to be with semi-rigid structure and ventilation cut-outs. An arch is probably out of the question due to needing to pack flat. Basically, it can't be a bag with minimal form that lays flat against my back or I will definitely sweat. Back padding isn't sufficient, it needs to have ventilation. The Daylight's ventilation has worked well for me.
Requirements:

• Breathable back
• Fits a 13" laptop
• External lashing points (doesn't have to come with the cord itself, I only need the points, can add the own shock cord myself)
• Packs flat and fairly thin
• Max size: 19" x 11"

Nice to have, but optional:

• Laptop/internal hydration bladder sleeve
• Removable hip belt

• Deuter Speed Lite 17 (has 4 corner loops I could probably add lashing to)

Built by my wife’s grandfather in 1971. There’s some beautiful Italian cypress to the left of the photo. It’s a real mix of these succulents and yucca I planted and the cypress which isn’t working. I’m wondering if I should pull the cypress out and just work with the Palm Springs look I was going for or abandon ship and pull all the desert stuff out and resort to a more Tuscan style, playing off the Spanish tile. The house is adjacent to wineries and vineyards, however, we have some nice classic cars which meshed well with the cacti. Basically I can go either way but I’m not sure. I know I need to add in more shrubs, however, the roses planted in the front are my father-in-laws and I can’t see myself removing them anytime soon.
Any inspiration, direction, criticism or out of the box idea is welcome. Bonus points for suggestions on the pergola!!!
