Vivid, brave and propulsive, Vuong's poems contend with personal loss, the meaning of family, and the value of joy in a perennially fractured American spirit. The author of the critically acclaimed poetry collection Night Sky with Exit Wounds, winner of the 2016 Whiting Award, the 2017 T. S. Eliot Prize and a 2019 MacArthur fellow, Vuong writes directly to our humanity without losing sight of the current moment. 2024.05.16 16:33 BreakfastUnlucky7573 Same day pharmacy delivery

Does anyone know of anywhere that offers same day delivery for medicine from a pharmacy? (Not a prescription)
Me and my partner have been hit hard with covid, we both have hacking coughs 24/7 and can’t sleep because of it. We can’t visit the pharmacy in person as we don’t want to infect anyone else.. I want to buy Night Nurse to help us sleep and receive as soon as physically possible as we’ve barely slept for 4 days.
the only place offering same day pharmacy delivery I can see is Deliveroo but they don’t seem to sell Night Nurse on any of the shops on there!
We don’t have friends/family nearby so this isn’t an option.

2024.05.16 15:13 MinecraftSexUpdate [GUIDE] Enjoy GAMING again by ruining the fun of sexhavers and foids

Are you a gamer? Want to take out on normies, sexhavers, and foids that infest what used to be OUR hobby? Those of us born in the 80's will remember a time when being a gamer was scorned. We were bullied, chastised, and shunned from our peer groups for enjoying video games. This would last up until the mid to late 90's when the media finally started pushing games to "dudebros" and eventually women in the early to mid 2000's. Finally in the past 10 years we've seen an infestation of shitskins and third worlders completely flooding everything. I refuse to lay down and die. I will stand and fight till the bitter end.
It's time to turn the tables and make them suffer as they made us suffer, both in life and the virtual world. (Legally and within the confines of the game, this is NOT a guide to IRL ruinate or anything of the sort.) Some of this stuff isn't allowed if you're an EU gamer.
First off, you're going to have to let go of playing video games to "win" or acquire virtual greed. You're going to need a new mindset. The mindset of a sadistic psychopath hellbent on extracting keks from anyone and everyone deemed not one of us. No more giving a fuck about your KDA, w/l ratio, or "following the rules" or the "meta" of what other players expect you to do. You are a gamer going your own way, regardless of what the groupthink expects or wants. If the game is F2P or you're a richfag or jewtuber who can get free games from devs then being banned is part of the fun, and is expected of you. If you cannot afford to buy back into games or are too technologically retarded to change your IP and spoof your hardware to get around bans in F2P games then you'll have to tread carefully.
Here's the part where I instruct you on how to fuck over these sexhavers for your own sadistic pleasure. After all they've denied us a life worth living in the real world and treat us like lepers. It's time they feel uncomfortable in OUR space. Feel free to add to any of these methods or pitch in ideas.
Foid infested "cozy" games
Shit like "Animal Crossing" or "Palia." Anything that lets you decorate and grow shit is a "cozy" game and women infest these games more than any other. It's literally a containment game of sorts to keep them out of other shit. To fuck with women in these games all you have to do is steal resources, build ugly and annoying things within the game world, be rude via emotes and text chat, and use emotes to make it look like your character is grabbing their tits or eating them out. I once did /eat to some slag girl gamer in WoW Vanilla 20 years ago and when I reverse searched my name she was bitching about it on reddit and remembered my characters exact name 4-5 years ago. She's STILL SEETHING about it 15 years later. This is what you want. Virtual RAPE. Many foids stream these types of games, and it's incredibly easy to get under their skin. Make the ugliest characters you possibly can and always stand in their camera. Stalk them in-game. Uglify the world around them. Spam emotes. The world is your oyster.
MMORPG's
World of Warcraft, or anything else really. Gank them. Corpse camp them. Dispel their world buffs. Emote spam sexually assault them. Use a high level or highly geared character to camp low level quest zones and steal mobs, resources, and kill low level players. Stream snipe them till they hide their screen with nothingness. Join their guilds and steal their resources after faking being a Chad. Get the entire guild wiped, blame it on the women healers. Play a vital role and underperform / disconnect at pivotal moments and blame a thunderstorm. Make everyone wait on your actions, but not enough to get gkicked. Openly challenge sex havers lifestyles in discord voice calls and call them out on their privileged bullshit. (Genetics, riches, went to a nice school, raised by good parents, etc.) Use every underbelly evil shithead tactic that these fuckers used towards us during our childhoods and young adult lives. Roleplay it up and lie about your IRL self to make them feel inferior. Exploit early and often, and cash out via RMT before you get banned or when you quit for some NEET bucks. If the game has a "random queue" system you can wipe endless groups or refuse to participate and hold entire game lobbies hostage.
FPS
Overwatch, Counter Strike, etc. Simply play terribly in ranked matches. Don't assist the team. Mic spam. Play vital roles like tank or healer then simply don't heal and tell them openly on the mic to beg if they want heals. Refuse to play at all if a woman is in voice chat. Verbally accost every white knight that defends her. Remember, they're most likely wagies who have to go to work tomorrow and you're most likely a NEET who has infinite free time. Remind them of this. (Even if it's not true.) In FPS with one life, openly tell the enemy team where your team mates are camping. Use aimbots, wall hacks, and other cheats to make both sides pissed off. If you're doing well gloat. If you're playing shittily, then call them a loser or a nerd. Flashbang your own team. Drop objective items as far as possible. Die with expensive guns (Auto sniper in CS triggers normies.) and make sure the enemy acquires them. Acquire or goad team mates into team killing you to 2 week ban them.
MOBA / RTS
League, Dota 2, Age of Empires, and other slop. Never go to the "meta" lane. (AD carry / support normally go bottom lane, but you're gonna always go middle, and steal your own teams jungle.) Never build the right items. Feed the enemy team, kill steal your own. Never push lanes or objectives. Ping spam. Keep text chats very "safe" to avoid bans. When a team mate dies, some ping spam and a "?" goes a long way. Never agree to surrender, unless your team is winning. Always report everyone who rages on you. Play characters that have statistically low win rates or are extra annoying. Use a lag switch to delay and hold entire lobbies hostage (RTS). Wall in your own team. Use retarded high risk low reward build orders. Be completely useless all of the time and never join team fights except after everyone's dead then schizo gaslight them that they were the ones not helping.
Survival, Crafting / Building Games
Minecraft, and shit like it. Become insanely super godlike good at the game. Learn all the metas, muscle memory, speed run tech, and master PvP. Join reddit servers and ruinate months of "cozy crafting" with max enchanted equipment and masterful grief tactics. Construct server destroying redstone machines. Completely ruin spawn and active players bases while they're offline. Destroy their VIP / pay 2 win "donation" special items. Join their discords and spam anti-vax, anti-pitbull, and black people violence webms from rekt threads on 4chan to get their servers shut down. Literally use modded hacked clients to ESP radar hack and dupe your way to victory, kicking down reddit twerps virtual sand castles and record the seethe in their discord voice chats while pretending you don't know what's going on. Abuse and exploit anything you can to the detriment of other players (Shittily coded cash shops and stores. RPG elements that are 100% broken, like a "health swap" spell that you can use on any god-geared player to swap your 1/2 heart health with their full HP then 1 shot them naked kinda shit.)
Indie slop
None of these games have any cheat protection. Cheat Engine even the most basic shit. I once played some slop card game and was able to set my opponents HP at the start of the game to 0 and win immediately. You can pretty much speed hack on all of this shit and most hack sites will have a few dedicated cheat bros that can do the wildest shit like gain access to admin panels and other destructive things. Even without cheats most basic exploits can really break these games. If a dupe method worked on one shitty survival Unreal 5 sloppa game, chances are it works on the other 7,000.
VR / Roleplay shit
Fondle titties. When the white knights run up and shout "back off" loudly point and laugh at them. Force feed slags coconut drinks. Put your arm around everyone and get really up close in their face. Make fun of their furfag outfits. Call them trannies. Take a right wing stance on everything. Use cheats to spam gore and porn everywhere. Use mod menus (Cheats) to force other players to emote or spawn giant laggy objects and explosions. Always talk shit in VOIP and spam soundboards. Be as annoying and as insufferable as possible.
Single Player Games
Okay, so this one's hard to "troll" but there's still ways to do it. You gotta share stuff in normie spaces that will offend and upset them. There was a guy that played Red Dead 2 and brutually murdered and tortured the "women have a right to vote" NPC to the point where he got banned off jewtube for it cause it pissed off so many redditors. You're gonna have to be real creative with this one. If you're a jewtuber you can intentionally kill off all the gay NPC's in Baldurs Gate 3 or something during your streams or playthroughs and watch the seethe roll in. Or make misleading and untrue guides or push a narrative you'd prefer to see and post them to normie sites to really stick it to 'em.
Please, feel free to share your ways of griefing and trolling foids and sexhavers within the confines of the video game. Since we can't be happy in real life, the least we can do is make their virtual lives closer to ours. Give them a taste of their own medicine. The only joy I have left in life is making others seethe in video games, because what the fuck else is there to do?

2024.05.16 14:12 2lit_ Does it make sense to use a card I already have or open another one ? (Explanation inside)

I have 4 cards.
Chase Freedom unlimited
American Express EveryDay card
CapitalOne Quicksilver
CapitalOne Quicksilver One
I honestly have no idea how I have two quick silver cards.
The Capital One cards were opened up maybe like 8 years ago when I was like 19/20 trying to establish credit.
The American Express card was opened say five years ago, and then the Chase card was opened back in 2021.
My credit score right now is 811. I just bought a house last month so I wanted to buy a sofa that I liked. I really only use the Chase freedom, the other three cards have no balances on them.
I know the Chase freedom gives rewards, but I wanted to open up a Chase slate just for the introductory 0% APR.
I’m not really a big credit card user, I really only use the Chase card for big things like buying plane tickets, grocery shopping, or even maybe buying gifts for Christmas or birthdays.
So I’m not too well-versed on the hacks that come with using a credit card.

2024.05.16 13:44 LawfulnessPlayful965 r4 on dsi

Hey all. I recently bought a dsi xl from a shop called cex, so it's second hand. I got it cus I heard it's better than a ds, and my ds lite was bolloxed already. I have an r4 from when I was a kid, but my dsi isn't reading it, just saying there's no card inserted. Now i've come across people talking about formatting and downloading but it's a bit confusing I won't lie. In the most simple way possible, as someone who has never hacked any nintendo software, how do I get it so my r4 works?

2024.05.16 11:25 Over-Cut1311 In ear. Is it not possible to buy substitute for lost one?

Hi all, My girlfriend lost one of her in ear buds. Not the tip, but the actual speaker. So she’s stuck on just one. I called up the hifi shop where I bought the Denon ah-c830ncw. They say it is not possible to buy a replacement as the in ears are connected /locked to the charging box.
Is this really so? Is there not a hack to get a replacement? Any suggestions welcomed. Thank you 🙏🏼

2024.05.16 10:01 Kate_Hur My tips: how to avoid migraines or headaches during the flight

Hi there!
I have quite a bit of experience with traveling, and unfortunately, I'm also very experienced with migraines (for over 10 years). Through trial and error, I've figured out how to navigate travel without triggering a migraine, and I'd love to share my tips with you. Feel free to share your own tips in the comments!
We all have our own migraine or headache triggers, and I've got plenty of mine. The key is to identify yours and do your best to avoid them.
  1. The first rule of being a migraine traveler is to always carry your migraine or headache relief with you. Even if you know tons of life hacks on how to reduce it, no one knows when the next attack will come. Most migraine pills are sold on a prescription basis in Europe, so you cannot buy them in a pharmacy whenever you want. Make sure you have enough pills/drops for your trip (and also ensure you will not be required to carry your prescription, as some countries' border control might ask for it).
  2. Try to minimize stress as much as possible (though it may seem tough! :) ). Make a thorough packing list in your notes or a packing app to prevent those "OMG, I forgot my passport" moments. Also, ensure you arrive at the airport on time to avoid unnecessary rushing and stress.
  3. One of my major triggers is strong smells, so I always try to avoid duty-free shops that sell perfume. However, there are times when I might still visit these shops if I feel that my migraine is under control and won't be triggered.
  4. Stay hydrated. I mean really hydrated. I always carry at least a bottle of water for every hour of flight. Staying hydrated on a plane is vital due to the low humidity (dry air in airplanes is a major cause of dehydration, as your body loses moisture through breathing and skin evaporation) and high altitude, which can lead to dehydration and worsen headaches. Drinking water (not juice or coke!!!) regularly throughout the flight helps counteract these effects.
  5. Avoid alcohol and caffeine as much as you can before and during your flight. They can both contribute to dehydration, but more importantly, they influence blood vessels and neurotransmitter levels in the brain. Both alcohol and caffeine can change how blood moves through your body and affect a chemical called serotonin. These changes are connected to migraines in people who are prone to getting them. Save the drinks for your destination! Skip your glass of overpriced champagne in the airport and opt for Prosecco in Rome or some Kölsch in Cologne instead.
  6. Choose the right seat (and even pay for it if needed). Light sensitivity? Opt for a window seat, so you can close the window shade and block the bright sunlight. Motion sickness? Avoid seats near the wings or engines can help minimize exposure to noise and vibrations. Swelling? Seletc a seat with extra legroom, which not only provides comfort but can also help reduce the risk of swelling in the legs and feet, which is common during long flights and can contribute to discomfort and headaches.
  7. Consider your in-flight entertainment carefully. While in-flight movies and TV shows can be a great way to pass the time, staring at a screen for too long can strain your eyes and potentially trigger a migraine. Take regular breaks, blink often, and adjust the screen brightness to a comfortable level. I prefer audiobooks or interesting podcasts - my headphones keep me away from noise on the airplane and I gain some useful knowledge.
  8. Wear comfy clothes during the flight and bring some extras to stay warm. Choose loose clothes instead of tight jeans or high heels that might make you uncomfortable during the flight. Wear layers so you can adjust to the plane's changing temperatures. Bring a travel pillow and blanket if you want extra comfort for long flights. I always bring my travel pillow, warm jacket, and soft&warm socks to stay comfy.
  9. Select right food and snacks. Stick to your regular meal schedule and opt for healthy options like salad or a panini instead of fast food. Pack or buy snacks (preferably non-sugary ones!). Skipping meals or relying on sugary snacks can disrupt your blood sugar levels, which often triggers migraines. Pack some healthy snacks like nuts, fruits, or granola bars to keep your energy levels stable throughout the flight.
  10. Enjoy your travel :) Maintaining a positive mood can help keep migraines away! Try to relax, enjoy the journey, and stay optimistic. Engage in activities that bring you joy and make the most out of your travel experience!
The list above might seem over-complicated, but trust me - it's worth it to avoid ruining your vacation with a migraine.
Happy travels, everyone!

2024.05.16 03:43 pakrninja 20 things I learned for budget oriented tourists in Vegas

  1. Fremont Street Experience - 3 stages with Live bands, plenty of street performers, 2 OG casinos (1 of which lets you take a picture with $1,000,000) plus plentiful bars/restaurants. Spending money is not required. We didn't make it at night, but from what I understand it is a good show. During the summer there are more popular artists that perform in the area.
  2. Buy a bus pass. $20 for 3 days of unlimited rides. Bus stops at most casinos on the strip as well as Fremont Street. It can get crowded, but it is far cheaper than Lyft/Uber or parking your own vehicle.
  3. Plan on having cash on hand for tipping. They gave us a booklet with recommended tipping amounts for just about any potential service you could require. On a budget you don't want to be that tourist that doesn't tip when expected, but you also don't want to overdue it. Just a quick few (Bellhops $1-$3 per bag, Housekeeping $5-$10 per day you have them clean, Buffets $5-$10 per person)
  4. Just about everything else can be purchased using Credit/Debit cards. Even a lot of the street performers take digital payments now (Zelle, CashApp, Venmo, Paypal)
  5. High Roller observation wheel - If you are 21+, I would recommend getting the "Happy half hour" tickets (Cost a bit more but include unlimited drinks on your ride) which can be used at any time of the day, but definitely go at night. Pods are supposed to hold up to 40 ppl, but when we went we had about 12-15 people besides us. Plenty of room and plenty of time to get your drink on.
  6. Wear comfortable shoes, When looking at a map it can be deceiving how far things are from each other. You will find out quickly that you will put some mileage on. My wife and I averaged about 9-10 miles of walking per day, and that was with us trying to avoid it due to medical issues.
  7. Hotel - We stayed at the Hilton Grand Vacations, it's a very nice hotel. Our room was massive, included a full kitchen, dishwasher, dishes, washedryer, and an in wall safe. Be aware, they will ransack you with signing up for a sales presentation. If you are willing to sit through the presentation you will score some goodies, like free show tickets or free dinner, etc. You are under no obligation to buy anything, but if you want free... this is a good way.
  8. Speaking of washedryer in our room, check your booking closely to see if you have one. If you do, make sure to not overpack. We stayed a week and probably could have packed for 3 days and been just fine.
  9. Book a room with a full kitchen if possible. We went grocery shopping after checking in and stocked up enough basic foods for the week so we didn't have to eat out every meal. When every meal is going to cost you a minimum of $15-$20 per person basically everywhere, it can add up quick. Plus all of the dishes were included, we just had to wash them. They also provided dishwasher detergent.
  10. Resort Fees - Be aware of the hotel charging resort fees. As far as I am aware, every hotel on the strip at least has resort fees. HGV had one at $30 per night (Which literally paid for our "complimentary"Wi-Fi, having a phone in our room, and being allowed to self park) Valet was $40 per night billed on our hotel tab.
  11. Do not engage with the sales people on the streets unless you are truly interested. It is easy to get scammed and you aren't getting your money back. They also will hound you if you show the least bit of interest in what they are doing. If you bring kids, be aware that there is a TON of pornographic material/cards being handed out or offered in newspaper style machines. Not to mention the "showgirls" that are wandering around with very little on offering to take pictures with you (for a fee of course), there are also BDSM women that walk around and offer to spank you, in front of everyone of course.
  12. If you are a people watcher, be aware there are limited areas to sit and just people watch unless you sit at a barestaurant. There are surfaces around to sit on in some places, but I wouldn't count on it.
  13. Our 2 favorite restaurants on our trip. Margaritaville (Which we were informed will be closing down it's current location due to their lease expiring, but they are looking for a new location.) and Heart attack grill. If you don't know what either of those are, go on youtube and search. Heart attack grill is a themed restaurant and it is geared towards unhealthy eaters (or fat people if you will). Food was delicious though. Margaritaville had great food, great atmoshere, and great service.
  14. Buffet - If you are tempted to spend $$$ on an expensive buffet, be aware they really aren't worth the cost if you are on a budget. We went to the Wynn buffet ($75/person) which included our non-alcoholic drinks. If I had known then what I know now, I honestly would have ONLY gone for dessert. While there is a large assortment of really good food, it is all designed to fill you up quickly and there is just about zero chance you get your $75 worth unless you are a professional eater (or eat like one). But going for desserts, you have so many different choices to try and the portions are smaller being desserts. If you were to buy these desserts at a normal restaurant, they would price between $5-$25. That means you can quickly get your $75 worth without overeating. As of this post, Wynn buffet is the 2nd most expensive buffet, behind bacchanal. We only ate at the Wynn buffet, but there are also more reasonably priced buffets around $30-$50 per person.
  15. Blue Man Group - If you haven't heard of them, look them up. They are a comedy show, but not stand up comedy. It's skit based, involves lots of music and crowd interaction. There is NO TALKING from the members of the blue man group, they only act. Which just adds to the show, we loved it. It's a little pricey, I paid about $135 each for tickets... but it was pretty much the highlight of our trip.
  16. Any restaurants you plan on visiting, make reservations. Most you can make online. It may not be needed, but if you show up and there is a line down the block, you get to skip the line. Well worth it, just make sure you are there on time or you lose your spot.
  17. Avoid buying tourist trap excursions off websites claiming to give you a deal. 99% of them are either the exact same price as if you walk up to the venue or possibly even slightly more expensive. Not to mention, they are literally called a tourist trap for a reason. If you have money to blow, have at it. But on a budget, you won't miss out by not getting sucked in.
  18. At basically every restaurant there will be a photographer walking around offering to take pictures. Don't be fooled into thinking these are free photos. They will give you one complimentry photo that is tiny, like as small as those instamax cameras (1x1 photos). They will offer you 2 larger photos (4x6) in a (not so) fancy cardboard photo frame. At the time of this post, it was $20 per photo. *Tourist Hack* If you want the photos, tell them you do not want them and they will offer you both photos without the cardboard frame for $20. This worked at every single restaurant that we hit. Although, we only purchased twice, because how many restaurant photos with logos and crap on it do you need?
  19. If you really want to save money, do things OFF-strip. Everything on the strip is pricier, I do mean EVERYTHING.
  20. All gift shops have basically the same things. We visited the "Worlds Largest Gift Shop" and also one called ABC gifts (or something like that). Honestly, the Worlds largest felt crowded and overwhelming. The ABC shop we went to had some nice things in it that we bought, I would recommend them.

Finally completed my v2 camera scanning setup
My original setup was hacked together from a salvaged overhead projector. I ran in to several problems though: range of arm, large gear teeth, mounting options seemed to lead to shaking.
Since it got the overhead projector at salvage price and I keep seeing enlargers for sale cheap, I decided to start all over from scratch. This was totally worth it.
Parts - Meopta 35mm enlarger - CineStill Scanning light - Film carriers from Ebay - paint stirrers for guide rails - toolbox liner - cheap mini tripod from my local shop - Canon R10 - EF to RF converter - Sigma EF 105mm Macro
I just ripped through scanning a roll of slide film and it was super fast and easy. Negatives next in Darktable.

2024.05.15 23:39 Mysteriousglas How do I talk about my limitations at new “forced” job?

I’m a massage therapist (which is the perfect job for me), and recently got injured (repeated strain injury) and have been out on workers comp for 3 weeks. I’m nowhere near any recovery as my arm is still in constant pain and I can’t do much with it if anything. I’ve been feeling exhausted and wiped out. I haven’t even been able to do any of my basic tasks at home and it’s been frustrating. Part of workers comp was to find me a light duty job since my job can’t accommodate me, and because I have not been deemed total disability, only partial. So they’re having me work 4 days a week (20 hours) at a thrift store ran by volunteers, starting this Friday.
So I do love shopping and I love thrift stores and I love organizing shelves and I feel this will be a good fit for me for this temporary work position. However it’s very different from my usual job and it’s not a job I would ever pick for me due to some of my limitations due to adhd, that my employer isn’t aware of since those limitations don’t affect my job as a massage therapist.
For example… I’m highly sensitive to sounds and smells, I get sensory overload and I can’t go into any stores without headphones to tune out outside noise, otherwise I tend to freak out if I get overwhelmed. I’m also an introvert and socially awkward. I can’t be around too many people or it hurts my brain, and I need a short downtime break every hour to recharge. I also get a little overwhelmed with clutter, despite having a super cluttered home (paradox we all know about).
I love my job as a massage therapist because I work in a very clear, organized, clutter free space, reliable routine, one on one interaction with each client, I get to interact with colleagues but not too much, just enough to get my social interaction needs of the day. I get a little 5 mins break on my own every hour and my shifts are about 5.5 hours long. On my little break I can recharge and also check my phone to write down every random thing I thought about or remembered during my session, that I forget about if I didn’t write down right away.
I’m getting nervous about this job, and what their expectations will be. Changes are really hard for me. I feel like I won’t be able to do much at all. I want to write a letter for the manager to let her know my limitations. I feel like I will be useless. Physical limitations plus my neurodivergent limitations plus I also have times I won’t be able to go due to prior engagements (because they gave me a schedule different from my regular one, without checking if I’m available).
Wish me luck?

2024.05.15 23:13 ThrowAwayGameDevQs Dev time of a feature list for an oldschool game

Hi! So, I'm not 100% sure if this is really the right place to throw this, and please direct me to where if not, but I kinda wanted an estimate on how long some code development would take for what I'd consider the core mechanics of a game me and some friends want to make. This is mostly because we all fill out most the roles in game development, all except programming. And I know this is variable to change dev to dev, debugging time, etc etc, but it'd be nice to have an idea because it'll play a part into how much we have to budget when we look for someone to fill the role.
A bit of background, we are wanting to make a game inspired a lot by Megaman Legends. Third person adventure game, shooter and hack/slash. Very focused on story, character, and exploration. So, the mechanics don't really have to be SUPER complex. Anyways, this is our 'list':
Movement: Walking, Running, Jumping, strafing, dodgerolling-sides, ledge grab/shimmy/climb/drop, knockedback
Scene transitions: Fade in and out between areas. Object location/condition saved between scene loads (ex: like a wall being destroyed, a crate moved).
Attacking: Melee, shooting (reloading but infinite ammo), magic (mana system, slow regen).
NPC Interaction: Dialogue (retain 3rd person camera, or zoom in 1st person style. Can make npc play animation from dialogue),
shop system. Quest system.
Enemies: Humanoid base, quadrapeds, robots, other 'unique' enemy types. Boss mechanics.
Object interaction: Button presses, object-contexual interaction (ex: using a computer station, radio, opening or closing door)
Weapon system: Easy modular weapon system. Melees animation-style based on weapon type. Guns animation style, projectile or hitscan, gun stats/properties. Magic system has different effects based on magic (ex: fire projectile, earth makes wall, heal magic)
Slot-upgrades: Player can find and equip accessory gem items into 1 of 3 slots that boost stats, such as weapon damage, health, speed, etc.
Save and load system.
Cutscene manager.

2024.05.15 22:01 LRKingPiccoloRevived Random thoughts after finishing Trails from Zero

Disclaimer: I am going through the games in release order. I'm clarifying this because apparently this is not necessarily a common thing and people skip around or something? I don't know, I just find it funny that there's a whole stickied post in this sub telling people to play them in order.
I guess that's about it, can't think of anything else right now. Needed to get these thoughts somewhere.
Gonna start Azure soon, but I'll probably go very slow once again.

2024.05.15 21:46 akshaydunakhe [Offer] I will create a WordPress website for you at $99. This includes up to 5 webpages, an SSL security certificate, one business email ID, a mobile-friendly look, and a logo(if you don’t have one)

In 2024, more than half of the traffic worldwide( 54.8% to be precise) was generated through mobile phones. If your website is not mobile-friendly, you are missing out on lots of potential business. But that won't be an issue you need to worry about because I won't let it be an issue. All these websites have subtle animations and are fully responsive which means they look good on any screen(be it mobiles, desktops, and even tablets).
WHAT WILL YOU GET
includes up to 5 webpages
SSL security certificate
one business email id
a logo(if you don’t have any)
Bonuses:
The security of your website is important to you and hence it's important to me. And hence I will take all the required measures and install security software to essentially make your site hackproof. (Or at least 10 times more difficult to hack your site as compared to other sites)
At the end of the project, I will also send you a copy of the backup of your website, which I don't see anyone doing. This backup will be sent to you in some cloud storage of your choice. This backup will include the complete A-Z content, images, scripts, and lines of code which will be packed together in a zipped file. So just in case if your website is compromised due to any reason, you will have a copy of the entire website sitting in your cloud storage which can be used to restore the site completely within a few clicks. (I always keep the backup of my client's site with me and I also give one copy to the owner of the site just to be double sure)
Any advanced features can also be added to your website for an additional fee (such as a payment gateway, booking system, WooCommerce integration, extra webpage, a community forum, etc ).
Payments are made via PayPal and credit or debit cards
You can contact me on Reddit or Instagram (@helpingagency.com_)
Please pm me for my email or Skype or Zoom.
If you're looking for someone for the maintenance of your website after it's completed, we can discuss a minimal monthly fee as well (depending on how much work there will be).
Get ahead of your competition and set yourself up for success today!
A website can put your business on the battlefield. However, a well-built website can take your business to new heights, and that's exactly what I will be doing for you.
I am relatively new in the world of business. I am running my web design agency as I am completing my university education. I am young and naive in many ways when compared to seasoned entrepreneurs. By any means, I am NOT a top dog in the website design industry. If anything, I am an underdog. roperly, at the highest possible level.
So if that's something that is important to you, I will highly recommend you do business with me.
Now, on to the good stuff. Below are 8 websites I have built that are currently live sitting on my subdomains. They are business websites but because these businesses are not in existence they are filled with dummy text(Lorem Ipsum) and content.
The purpose of these sites is to display my skills, talent, and credibility without compromising my nondisclosure agreements with my clients. I hope you like them.

2024.05.15 21:36 Bodhi_MC Experium SMP [Vanilla] [SMP] {Whitelist} {1.20} {New Season Soon} {Hermitcraft-Inspired} {18+}

About Experium SMP:
The Experium SMP is a whitelisted 1.20 vanilla server. We have been on a bit of a hiatus since our previous season, but we are starting a brand new one with a fresh world on June 1st and are looking for new players to join us (so please only apply if you're okay with waiting until then to begin playing). This server is all about having a fun and dedicated community of players, where everyone feels included and actively contributes. So if you're looking to enjoy playing Minecraft on a dedicated SMP, look no further than Experium.
We are still working out some details of the coming season, but we will most likely begin the server on 1.20 with the new 1.21 blocks included. With 1.21 expected to release soon, we can keep our builds within a set area and then reset the chunks outside of that once the update comes out to include new terrain features.
This SMP is very much inspired by the Hermitcraft server, as I am a long time fan and am constantly motivated by their community and content. While we aren't trying to replicate Hermitcraft completely, we do play with several iconic features of their server, including several vanilla tweaks datapacks, a clearly defined shopping district, and a big emphasis on community and group events/projects.
This makes for a great time and encourages members to contribute. But this also requires members to get along with the community, make smart decisions, and play actively. That's why I have created a simple application process that you can fill out by clicking the link at the bottom of this post. Now, here are some of the server details.

2024.05.15 20:41 AsaTJ So like... what should the consequences be for a Mage cabal that decides they want to start assassinating world leaders?

I'm running a M:tAw Alt Universe where the Pentacle doesn't really exist anymore because they tried to go Full Numenor and attack and dethrone the Exarchs, which led to about 90% of Mages on Earth clawing their own eyes out and dying horribly. The cabal is a group of high schoolers who are some of the first new mages to Awaken since that event. But there aren't just Guardians of the Veil hanging around to enforce the Lex Magicka or anything, and one of the players has sort of come up with the idea to try and assassinate this universe's version of Jeff Bezos/Elon Musk. And I'm pretty sure they won't stop there.
One one hand: Great! Hubris! Let's fuckin' go! But I want to come up with some realistic consequences for some teenager with magic powers deciding that they can just play God, aside from the obvious (Wisdom degeneration, Paradox, etc).
I thought about giving him a Seer bodyguard or something, but that almost feels too on-the-nose?
How can I create consequences that are appropriate for this level of ambition?
