2024.06.10 00:34 Healthy_Eggplant91 The perfect song for Eddie (+2 songs for Buddie)

I've been obsessed with Teddy Swims lately and I was listening to Last Communion for like the 20th time before I looked at the lyrics and realized it's literally Eddie's song (about his wife) and it's really cathartic to listen to given how they ended S7. I just wanna talk about it extensively because my heart hurts for Eddie, so I'm gonna analyze this in Eddie's POV because I am unwell 😭
So this song is part of an album called "I've Tried Everything But Therapy" which is very appropriate as a general Eddie Mood™ ngl. Anyway it's a song that deals with loss of faith, the end of a relationship, and lack of closure that results from it. It literally hits pretty much everything Eddie is trying to work through with his relationship with Shannon right now.
The song opens with:
Used to believe Heaven was bulletproof Only God can turn a red light blue Been cuttin' me deep, dyin' to talk to you Only love can push the blade right through
Right away, it's establishing faith. Even though Eddie's not as religious as his family or Bobby, I think he still believes in the broad strokes of Christianity like a higher power and maybe a heaven and how religion serves to let people deal with the problems that they might need a little bit more spiritual help to overcome. "Only God can turn a red light blue" can be interpreted as the belief that only divine intervention can help change a negative situation (in this case, his wife's death) into a positive one. The stop/go imagery adds the nuance that the situation is something that's holding Eddie back and God/a higher power is the only one that will "permit" him to move on as if "moving on" is completely out of his hands. It also lines up with Eddie's tendency to "search for signs" to move forward, like Shannon's "pregnancy" to propose, or Carla telling him to ask Ana out, or Christopher pushing him to call Marisol. Eddie is hurting himself to talk to or find closure with Shannon. The act of "pushing a blade right through" can mean his love for Shannon put the blade in him in the first place/she's the reason why he's hurting, and only love (someone else's/Buck's) can push it through so the hole can finally heal even if it hurts to do so.
This love's an orphan callin' on deaf ears There's no afterlife, but if there is It's late in the night time, so it's the right time For sleep talkin', sleep talkin'
The orphan imagery in the chorus is definitely supposed to signify that Eddie feels left behind, his love for Shannon is falling on "deaf ears" because she abandoned him while she was alive (he waits for her but she never responds) and literally after she died (he can't talk to a dead person). "Night time, right time for sleep talking" can be interpreted as Eddie hiding his feelings, keeping them to himself in the dark/in private where he can break down his defenses when he's alone, and the only time he processes his feelings is through his "dreams" or his fantasies. This is the bridge so it gets repeated along with the chorus to emphasize abandonment and the hope that he can "talk" to his wife through his imagined fantasy/afterlife/Heaven where she's still "alive".
And now the heart's shot dead Buried under each and every word unsaid 24 hours since 'Goodbye, God Bless' 'Fore we let the ghost get away One last communion babe
This whole chorus is basically painting the abrupt (and emotionally devastating) end of Eddie's relationship with his wife and desire for closure. The second line is self explanatory, there were a lot of things unsaid when Eddie had to let his wife go in the ambulance, I really think he couldn't unload on a dying woman and ask her why she wanted to divorce, why she would think there was a possibility she would never come back to him and Chris, why wasn't Eddie enough for her to stay, etc. This all happened very quickly in the show, I think it was like within one episode of each other, Eddie was asking Shannon to marry him, her refusing, and Eddie choosing to console her as she dies despite how much he obviously still had things to say (as shown when he talked with Bobby).
Before they let the "ghost" of their relationship get away, he wants one last "communion" with her, which can mean "to commune"/share thoughts and feelings, to "break bread" with each other, remember each other's sacrifices, put aside their differences and either part on good terms or try to fix their relationship.
With Shannon's death, it paints Eddie's desire for them both to have one last chance to say the things that haven't been said for the sake of peace. This is the chorus so it keeps repeating and just highlights this desire to resolve their issues and have a proper goodbye. The bridge and the "One last communion" part of the chorus is kinda circular, in the bridge he feels abandoned but still has hope, but when he "thinks" about his relationship, all roads just lead him to the longing of wanting one last "communion" with her in order to fix or to let go. When the bridge-chorus repeats in the song, it just paints how much Eddie is stuck in this loop of hope, devastation and desire for closure.
So I let it go, nobody else around Couldn't watch forever fall face down So I turned my head the second it hit the ground And I felt it, but it made no sound
Again, I'm thinking about the ambulance with Eddie consoling Shannon while she talks about "leaving again" and how Eddie probably wanted to ask why she wanted to divorce him, why they couldn't stay together for Chris if she really loves him etc. He lets go of his problems with her in the moment for the sake of comforting her. I'm also thinking about how Eddie told Bobby that he "forgave her for everything and it wasn't enough", this was something he decided to do likely with no input or advice from anyone else. The second line, I think Eddie really thought he and Shannon would stay together forever despite how shitty their marriage was and how shitty they were to each other. He turned a blind eye to the destruction of their relationship, deep down he probably "felt it"--their relationship was dead--but he refused to hear it because he couldn't watch his "fantasy" of being married to her forever crumble even after her death.
Bridge and chorus play again, Eddie stuck in a loop of hope and devastation every time he ruminates about his relationship with Shannon and lands with wanting closure with "one last communion".
It was a grand old age Oh and yes I know that nothing gold can stay But I couldn't bring myself to turn that page Before I drop a kiss on the grave One last communion babe
God this song is fucking perfect. Eddie built up a fantasy of having a perfect relationship with his wife, and maybe "The Grand Old Age" might have been true during high school and when they were first married to each other. Everything was perfect and golden, in Eddie's words "I loved being married to her" and he might have been blissfully in love with her then and maybe he knew it was never going to last especially when he started running away. But now with her gone, he can't bring himself to "turn that page / before [he] drops a kiss on the grave", in other words, he can't let go of that golden age ideal, to turn to the next chapter of his life, to move on, not before he let's go of his wife--which he can't do because he has an all consuming desire for "one last communion" with her, to make peace and get answers.
It was a childish game Who can light a candle in the cryin' rain No one could know about the mess we've made I'm scrubbing, praying that the blood don't stain I only whisper your name For one last communion babe
This song is literally made for Eddie 😭 "It was a childish game, who can light a candle in the crying rain" in the context of their marriage means they were immature and naive trying to make it work, trying to keep their "passion" or "candle" alive while they were both hurting. It was like an exercise in futility to participate in this back and forth "game" of Shannon lighting the candle under the torrent of Eddie's tears/hurt, and then Eddie trying to light the candle in turn under Shannon's.
They tried to hide their problems from others, they made a "mess" of each other, and the devastation Eddie is left with (his "heart shot dead" from the earlier lyrics) has covered him in blood (grief/trauma/left him broken) and he hopes that the "blood doesn't stain", he hopes almost desperately (scrubbing/praying) the aftermath of his relationship with her doesn't permanently mark him or break him. Now Eddie can only "whisper her name" longingly, it might also be a sign of secrecy, his need to keep his feelings about his wife--which persist even if he might not want it to--hidden from others maybe a little bit because of shame, he wasn't able to fix it. And again, he wants to so badly but he'll never get his "one last communion".
Ugh 😩 It's so beautiful honestly. Like word for word, it sums up Eddie's turmoil so well. This is now Eddie's anthem in my head, I can't separate him from this song.
The next 2 (honestly 3) songs are also part of the album, they're right after one another towards the end. The whole album kinda tells a story of anger, toxic relationships, heartbreak and finally moving on, realizing you're deserving of love and then finally finding it if listened to in order, so obviously I wasn't not going to think of Buck after that Eddie-as-fuck song. I'm not gonna go as heavy on the analysis because they're pretty self explanatory.
First one is Suitcase, and surprise surprise, it's about ✨baggage✨ lmao. It's slow and kinda sad, kinda hopeful, trying to move on even with all the hurt and exhaustion you gotta carry from previous relationships, always afraid you're moving back instead of moving forward but still loving who you can't help loving despite the setbacks and just asking them for a little more time and space to heal. 😭😭😭 From the artist himself: "This is a song about my journey to learn that I am deserving of love and worthy of someone who will love me despite my baggage and insecurities!" So it can read as for Eddie or Buck or both.
This part is my fave:
Every time I stumble for you Two steps back and one step forward And now I'm fallin' down more than I'm fallin' for you But I adore you, I adore you
Next one is Flame!!!! The feel good song!!!!!! Finally moving on!!!!!!! Happy and upbeat, kinda silly:
We should put on our favorite records Pour a little whiskey too early in the day We could blame it all on the weather Swear the connection was better in LA
We could use our imaginations to make up a confrontation For the sake of something goin' on We should put on our favorite records If we're lucky, turn tonight into a love song
It's alright Gonna stay right here 'til it hits us Even if it takes all night Gonna find the flame we've been missing, baby
It's actually "a song about having a hard time writing a song" but true to the lyrics, it literally turns into a love song out of context lmao. It actually feels kinda friends to lovers tbh, two people fucking around in a hotel room trying to have fun with each other, using their "imaginations to make up a confrontation" stirring up fake drama just to get a little "friction" going (this feels very "wanna go for the title?" to me) until they find the "flame they've been missing".
And then Evergreen, an actual love song. After Flame, it just feels like they've "found the spark" and now Eddie at least is falling for Buck, who is obviously the "sun knocking at [Eddie's] door" and the fuel to Eddie's fire and the "evergreen" crashing through Eddie's walls 😭 Just Eddie vibes fully leaning into his new love, finally realizing that he could have a life with Buck:
Took a while to make this bed Tired of livin' in my head The ritual, things I ain't know Never felt like this before
Sorry that my heart's a mess But you keep me from spirallin' And I guess when it rains it pours 'Til the sun knocks at your door
Oh, I think that I could love you Through the darkness, through the cold
'Cause I'm feelin' somethin' when you're next to me You fuel my fire like some kerosene We're intertwined with nothin' in between Cross your heart, promise you'll never leave
I'm feelin' somethin' when you're next to me I have walls up that nobody sees But you crash through me like an evergreen Cross your heart, promise you'll never leave
Thanks for reading this wall of text 😭 Last Communion is a masterpiece honestly, it's been a while since I've heard such heavy lyrics, it was literally begging to be analyzed and it just happened to be perfectly in line with my obsession with Eddie's current arc and now I love the song even more. I really hope they get together in S8.

2024.06.10 00:32 Ok-Environment-8463 The Greater Objective: Thank you Craig Wright for your Sacrifices!

In the hushed, dimly lit courtroom, the air was thick with tension. The world had been waiting for this moment: the unmasking of Satoshi Nakamoto, the elusive creator of Bitcoin. Journalists, crypto enthusiasts, and skeptics alike were gathered to witness history in the making. Little did they know, they were about to be part of a meticulously crafted deception.
Seated at the defense table was a man of average build and nondescript appearance, wearing a simple gray suit. He went by the name of Craig Wright, but whispers in the courtroom suggested otherwise. Wright, the alleged Satoshi Nakamoto, appeared calm, almost serene, despite the gravity of the accusations against him.
The prosecution was confident. They had a mountain of evidence: emails, forum posts, and digital signatures that traced back to Wright. They had expert witnesses ready to testify, forensic accountants who could trace Bitcoin transactions, and cryptographic experts who could decode the mystery.
As the proceedings began, the prosecutor, a sharp, relentless man named Mr. Hough, laid out his case. He presented the evidence with precision, each piece meticulously connected to form a seemingly unbreakable chain.
But Wright was unflinching. His defense attorney, a seasoned veteran named Anthony Grabiner, stood to present their case. Grabiner was known for his unconventional tactics, and today would be no different.
“Your Honor, ladies and gentlemen of the jury,” Grabiner began, his voice measured and calm, “we acknowledge the evidence presented by the prosecution. But what if I told you that everything you’ve seen and heard is part of an elaborate ruse?”
The courtroom buzzed with confusion and curiosity. Grabiner continued, explaining how Wright, his client, had willingly forged documents, created fake digital footprints, and assumed the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto. He produced emails and documents showing Wright’s supposed connection to Bitcoin, all of which Wright admitted to fabricating.
“Why would someone go to such lengths to deceive?” Hough scoffed, trying to regain control of the narrative.
Grabiner smiled slightly. “That, Mr. Hough, is the heart of our defense. Mr. Wright is not a fraud; he is a patriot. What if I told you that this entire charade was orchestrated for a greater good?”
The courtroom fell silent, the weight of Grabiner’s words hanging in the air.
“Several years ago,” Grabiner continued, “Wright was approached by a shadowy figure claiming to represent a coalition of governments. They had a mission: to protect the identity of the real Satoshi Nakamoto and safeguard the decentralized nature of Bitcoin. They feared that if Satoshi’s identity were revealed, it would destabilize the cryptocurrency market, leading to economic chaos.”
Wright was the perfect candidate. He had the technical skills, the understanding of Bitcoin’s intricacies, and, most importantly, the willingness to sacrifice his reputation for a greater cause. He agreed to become the sacrificial lamb, to draw attention away from the real Satoshi Nakamoto, ensuring that Bitcoin remained free from undue influence.
Over the next few years, Wright meticulously built a false trail, forging documents, creating fake transactions, and planting digital clues. He knew that eventually, he would be caught, tried, and labelled a fraud. It was all part of the plan.
As Grabiner laid out the details, the courtroom listened in stunned silence. The jurors were visibly moved, struggling to reconcile the image of Wright as a fraudster with the narrative of him as a selfless guardian of Bitcoin’s future.
The trial continued for days, each side presenting their arguments. Grabiner called witnesses who testified to the authenticity of the forged documents, experts who analyzed the digital footprints and confirmed their artificial nature. Wright himself took the stand, explaining his motivations, his interactions with the mysterious coalition, and his unwavering belief in the importance of protecting Bitcoin.
In the end, the jury was faced with a difficult decision. The evidence of forgery was undeniable, but so was the compelling narrative of Wright’s greater objective. After hours of deliberation, they returned with a verdict: guilty of forgery, but not of fraud.
The judge, recognizing the uniqueness of the case, sentenced Wright to time served and a period of community service, acknowledging the paradox of his actions.
As Wright left the courtroom, he was greeted by a throng of reporters. He offered no comments, no explanations. He simply walked away, disappearing into the crowd, a man who had played his part in a grand deception to protect a vision larger than himself.
In truth, Craig Wright was Satoshi Nakamoto. He had created Bitcoin with a vision of decentralization and financial freedom. But as Bitcoin grew, so did the risks of his identity being revealed. Wright understood that for Bitcoin to remain truly decentralized, Satoshi Nakamoto had to remain a myth, an enigma. By sacrificing his own identity, he ensured that Bitcoin’s future would remain untethered from any single individual, including himself.
The world would continue to debate the true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, but one thing was certain: the legend of Bitcoin’s creator had grown even more enigmatic, thanks to the sacrifices of Craig Wright. The truth lay buried beneath layers of deception, known only to a few who understood the true importance of the greater objective.

2024.06.10 00:00 Kind_Razzmatazz_9883 Ex-wifes right to occupy. When does it end?

Wales: I have been going through a divorce for the last 8-months.
I bought the home before we got married, and I'm the sole name on the property title and mortgage. I have always solely paid the mortgage, council tax and bills. The deposit was solely mine too.
My property became the marital home for about a year before my ex cheated. She has exercised her right to occupy for the last 8-months and issued a home right notice to the Land Registry.
The Final Order was granted 3 days ago on the 6th of June. At what point does she no longer have a right to occupy? When and how can I remove her from the property?
I have made a clean break offer to my ex via my solicitor, but I'm waiting to hear back. I have just sent the HR4 form to the Land Registry with the Final Order to get the home rights removed.
My solicitor informed me that my ex has a right to occupy until the clean break is agreed, but guidance online seemed to advise right to occupy in this case would end after the Final Order?
I just want her to go so I can move on.

2024.06.09 23:38 BigMikeyP72 Envirodome

“And for the missing person reports that date back many years, police still have not found any leads to the odd disappearance of multiple people around our little town of Welks, Utah. If police find any new leads, I, Nathan White, will be the first to give you the news.” Nathan White is a small town reporter who is finishing up his final words of the day's news. Charlie Akins, Nathan’s colleague and long time friend is manning the camera. Nathan is your typical guy who never gives up and has the determination of a beaver building its dam. He will take any story he is given and will do his best to make it the best. Charlie on the other hand is about as outgoing as a sloth and so paranoid he can’t go anywhere without thinking the worst, but will never leave his friend’s side. Soon after the two wrap up, Charlie gets a call from their boss who claims to have a new story they could cover. Nathan places their gear in the news van as Charlie walks over. With the way Charlie nervously walks over, Nathan knows something is odd. “So what’s the deal? We got a story or what?” Charlie gets in the driver seat of the van without saying a word and Nathan quickly follows, getting into the passenger seat. As Charlie begins driving, he tells Nathan what their boss had spoken to him about. An old abandoned government facility sits out in the farthest outskirts of the town. It’s in the shape of a dome that’s large enough to house an entire town. There’s no records of anyone ever entering the facility since the 50’s and no one seems to know what it was for. Only thing anyone knows, or suspects, is that it may be cursed or haunted as people who have ever been near it claim to hear screams and voices coming from within. Charlie is hesitant of even the thought of covering the story but continues to drive assuming Nathan will be intrigued. Charlie was correct, of course, as Nathan quickly calls their boss to inform him that they’re checking it out. Without question, Charlie continues driving until they are so far out that Welks is completely out of sight in the rearview mirror. They eventually see a large structure in the distance that they quickly realize is the center of their new story. “Holy shit, Charlie! I’ve never seen this place before and just… Wow,” Nathan says excitedly. “Nathan, I don’t know about this one. Something seems off. Even the boss seemed hesitant to tell me about this place,” Charlie responds. “Come on, Charlie. We’ve always wanted to cover a GHOST STORY.” “No, YOU have always wanted to cover a ghost story. I’ve always wanted to get the hell away from every single person I come in contact with and sleep in my bed.” “Don’t do me like that.” “You know I’ve got your back through thick and thin, Nate. But I’ve seriously got a bad feeling about this one.” “I know but come on, serious-... ly…” Nathan is awestruck by the sight of a large sign on the outer brink of a long driveway leading to the entrance of the dome. The sign reads:
RESTRICTED AREA
ENVIRODOME “WE EXPERIMENT FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR PEOPLE”
SPECIAL ACCESS IS NEEDED BEYOND THIS POINT
Although it was obvious by the city-sized dome in the middle of the desert, this sign fully confirmed they were in the right place. They continue down the driveway until they finally reach a parking lot that lies in front of the only noticeably cube-like design of the entire facility. The parking lot was small, or at least it seemed that way based on how huge the building was. Nathan and Charlie assumed it would be glass, but instead, the decrepit building, now known to be The Envirodome, was made of a strong thick, yet rusted metal. They realized this was most likely by design considering the people who created it wouldn’t have wanted anyone to know what went on inside. Almost the entire building was covered in a thick layer of vines except for the front door. The doors at the entrance were oddly only covered in smaller vine growth that was far more fragile than the rest. Charlie parks the van as an awestruck Nathan barely waits for him to stop and exits the passenger side. Charlie hesitantly follows suit. Nathan reaches the double entrance doors and rips away the vines. He quickly finds the handle of the right door and much to his surprise, it cracks open. “Ooh spooky,” Nathan jokingly says to Charlie. “Shut up,” Charlie snaps back. As Nathan and Charlie open the large metal door and walk inside, they find far more than, yet somehow everything, they had expected. The duo walk inside only to find an entire small community within. Businesses, homes, trees and more fill the miles long dome in all directions, seemingly to no end. “There’s a whole damn town in this place?! How the hell did not a single person know this existed,” Charlie exclaims out of pure shock. “Dude… How the fuck am I suppose to know? That’s why we’re here, remember? To cover the story of this place and get it out to the people…” Nathan sarcastically snaps back. Charlie, nervous as all hell, ignores Nathan as they continue forward in the hopes to find information on this place somewhere inside. They don’t even reach but about 10-15 feet inside before the door slams shut behind them and locks itself into place. Once fully locked, the doors start to change as if there was never a door or wall there at all. It quickly changes into a hyper-realistic hologram of more trees and roads. Soon enough, it looked as if an exit never even existed. Nathan quickly realizes that there seemingly are no walls in any direction. However, realistically and logically, there must be dead ends in all directions, the dome was obviously designed in a special way. Although there was a dome surrounding the town inside, there were still plenty of places Nathan and Charlie could explore. With beautifully green trees all around, houses and even rundown businesses, the entire place looked and felt like a normal little town instead of the inside of a previously government owned facility. Despite absolutely not a single structural flaw in the dome, a small breeze glides through the air, whistling to the ears of any who would listen. Both Nathan and Charlie are confused, yet in awe, by the experience at hand, but still they carry on. Nathan suggests going to the nearest building to search for information as he takes his next steps into the oddly beautiful scenery. Charlie, however, hesitates his next step until he realizes Nathan is already further ahead of him. Trees dance and sway in the cool breeze, grass and vines grow over large rocks and multiple buildings, and even clouds sail through the beautifully blue skies that couldn’t possibly be real but at this point it’s not unbelievable. With so much to admire, Nathan quickly loses focus on the task at hand until Charlie speaks up. “Hey, Nate. Shouldn’t we hurry up and get to wherever the hell we’re going?” “Huh? Oh… Yeah, yeah. Sorry…” Nathan snaps back to his senses and continues forward. As they continue to what seems like a small neighborhood, they notice something in the distant wooded area. It’s a four-legged creature that could be a wolf or coyote. Nathan and Charlie pick up speed as they are unsure of what it could really be and prefer not to be attacked. On arrival to the neighborhood, the two men notice that multiple mannequins are oddly placed around as if they had been living a life. An eerie feeling washes over them as they both become a little more skeptical of being there. Nathan looks back to check on his friend and notices Charlie is visibly paranoid as he looks around. He feels a moment of guilt for making him come here for a story to cover, but that moment was just that. A moment. Nathan quickly nudges Charlie to get him to come with him as he walks up to an open house. As they walk in, they split up. Charlie searches the living room and kitchen. Nathan goes straight to the farthest bedroom in the back. Searching every nook and cranny, Nathan finds absolutely nothing but an old withered bible. He begins to walk into another room when suddenly, Charlie’s voice echoes through the empty hallway. “Holy fuck,” Charlie exclaims. “What’s wrong,” Nathan yells while running into the living room. Nathan finds Charlie holding an old yellowed stack of papers. Charlie hands them to Nathan without uttering a single word. On top is an old document that reads:
Aug. 17, 1953: Testing is ready to commence for Project 718/Operation “SUPER” in the environment dome. However, there are no volunteers for testing just yet.
Aug. 18, 1953: Chief scientist, Dr. Maximus Woods, has volunteered as prime subject under the name: Subject Zero. All tests are now being prepared.
Aug. 20, 1953: Day 1 of testing has started. The Super Serum has been injected into Dr. Maximus Woods A.K.A Subject Zero at approximately 12:53 A.M. It has been hours and nothing has happened thus far.
Aug. 25, 1953: Subject Zero has gained a slight form of telekinesis. Small signs of abnormally quick healing factors have also appeared, taking only a couple of hours to fully heal mid-large wounds made on the subject's body. Tests, so far, seem to be successful with no side effects.
Aug. 30, 1953: Subject Zero has had impressive changes with easy to control telekinesis, rapid healing, and even large amounts of strength.
Sep. 5, 1953: Over the past week, Subject Zero has been undergoing small changes in personality, possibly a slight side effect of the serum. This will be monitored.
Sep. 10, 1953: Subject Zero has become rapidly unstable, showing major signs of insanity. Subject does not seem to realize the environment is simulated and treats test mannequins placed around the environment dome as if they were living beings.
Sep. 17, 1953: Multiple teams have been sent in to try and allow real communication with living beings. However, all teams have been killed by Subject Zero. He also does not allow anyone to retrieve the bodies and it is unclear what he does with them.
Oct. 3, 1953: Subject has become far too unstable to continue any further testing. All research will be abandoned but a small team will remain in the overseer’s office. For full safety measures, this team has agreed that if the facility must be destroyed then they will die with it. This was the intended way in case of emergency. If the facility is self-destructed, no one inside will survive.
“What the hell…” Nathan says fearfully. “Read the newspaper article that’s attached,” says Charlie. The newspaper article reads:
October 3, 1953 Today, the government-run facility, Envirodome, had been shut down after multiple men had been slaughtered at the hands of the company’s very own test subject, Subject Zero. The few men who made it out alive today could not speak of or about the tests done but we were told that their subject is still inside the facility. Test Subject Zero was locked inside only as a safety protocol but many wonder, how long will he remain there?
Upon this discovery, Nathan stops to think and wonders if he screwed up by taking on this story to cover. Nathan, being himself, tries to lighten the mood but before uttering a single word, he is cut off by a rough and deep voice in the distance. The voice now being the only thing to focus on, Nathan and Charlie look out the front windows of the old house and spot the figure of a man playing baseball with a mannequin. Upon further inspection, the man is wearing clothes obviously not of this era. With an old 50’s jacket that is nearly torn to shreds, an old pair of blue jean slacks, a red shoe on one foot and a black one on the other and hair that clearly hasn’t been washed in years, the man is the exact look and description of pure insanity. Not just with his looks but also with his actions, he clearly is not a stable man. In the yard of the next house over, the man is talking and playing catch with a mannequin. “For the last time Jimmy, I’m tired of your shit! Catch the damn ball or at the very least attempt to instead of just standing there,” the crazed man screams as he chucks a baseball at its head resulting in its immediate decapitation. Nathan, with a humor full of bad timing, nearly bursts into laughter. “Shut the fuck up, Nathan! That’s the guy from the document and newspaper article. He’s Dr… Uh… Maximus Woods! Subject Zero! He’s been here since the 50’s,” Charlie fearfully exclaims. “There’s no way in hell, Charlie. The guy doesn’t even look like he’s past his mid-30’s.” “I told you to call me Subject Zero! That old name is dead to me!” The man, now confirmed to be Subject Zero, yells out to another mannequin. “Believe me now, asshat,” Charlie snaps at Nathan. “Shush! What was that?” Subject Zero quickly snaps his attention to Nathan and Charlie’s direction and begins to walk to them. The two men look at each other in fearful confusion and simultaneously say, “oh shit.” Instinctually, Charlie runs out of the house from fear and with a quick, “FUCK!” Nathan follows him. Running out of the house like a couple of preyed upon animals, they run up the street further into the neighborhood. Taking a quick glance, Nathan spots a strange sight. Subject Zero and many other figures are chasing after them. Upon further examination, Nathan realizes that what he’s witnessing is something straight out of a horror movie. The other figures are , in fact, not even humans. They’re mannequins! All the mannequins they had seen back at the other houses are now moving like humans and coming right for them alongside Subject Zero. Nathan is running so fast you could mistake him for a train breaking loose from its tracks, but sadly, Charlie is slowing down, unable to keep up with his friend. Nathan manages to reach a hiding spot behind a dumpster, unintentionally leaving Charlie to await his own horrors as Nathan is nothing but forced to watch. Charlie begins to stumble and trips over his own feet. Soon after, the mannequins catch up to him. Nathan wants to help, but knows he can’t so all he does is watch in horror. Lying on the ground, Charlie gasps for air as the mannequins and Subject Zero surround him. They stare at him for a moment before eventually beating him simultaneously until Charlie is soaked in his own blood, barely alive. Suddenly, they stop. Charlie, nearly lifeless, drags his gaze in Nathan’s direction. He mouths, “GO” before coughing up blood. Nathan holds back tears and vomit as he looks away in guilt. All the mannequins that were once beating the life out of Charlie turn around and scatter before ultimately becoming, once again, inanimate objects. Like a lion searching for its prey, Subject Zero scans the area. With danger nearby, Nathan looks around to find a house with any open doors to attempt to find safety. He spots a nearby house with an open window and decides it's his best option. Without hesitation, Nathan sprints to the window and leaps in like a gazelle escaping its demise. Much to his surprise, he went unnoticed. “I might be insane, but I know I wasn't just seeing double of your little friend here. Where the hell are you,” screams Subject Zero as two mannequins carry Charlie's bloodied, yet still alive, body away. Nathan, afraid, yet determined, locks himself inside the house and sits behind a kitchen counter. He looks up to see if it's safe enough to search the house. Once he realizes it is, he begins to look around. The kitchen is oddly empty. Not a single piece of silverware, plate or food. Out of the entire house, the living room is the best looking part, even though it still looks like a tornado came through it. With hopes of finding something, Nathan scrummages through everything lying on the decrepit wooden floor. After a moment of searching, Nathan notices multiple papers scattered around all dated October of 1953. All the papers say different things about Project ‘SUPER’ and Subject Zero. Although most papers essentially say the same things, one paper stands out the most. It’s a newspaper dated a few days after the imminent shutdown of the facility. October 9, 1953 The project was abandoned and only a few escaped but one former employee of Envirodome decides to speak up about the events. “The main doors may have been closed but they sadly were not locked,” the scientist tells our interviewer, “Oddly, the doors were made to allow people in but not back out unless you went to the overseer’s office and unlocked the main doors. All this means, anyone who decides to go inside without knowing this info will be trapped forever with a psycho maniac. Fortunately, Subject Zero’s insanity affected his mind so badly he doesn’t even realize he’s in a fake little world that’s specially made for him.”
A little further down the same newspaper article it reads:
The former Envirodome employee continues. “All documents will state that Dr. Maximus Woods volunteered to be Subject Zero, but that just isn’t true. We tricked him. You see, we needed someone and Dr. Woods was just this weird scientist that no one really liked. We convinced him that if he volunteered that he would be a hero. Someone who could save our world if the serum worked. He was so happy and we just laughed at him but knew we needed him for the tests. As soon as everything began, it all ended. As he became more and more deranged, he also became more determined to make the serum work. He eventually took living people he kept with him and made his own serum to try and perfect it. But it never worked. It just leads to each person to become crazier and far quicker. He ended up just killing everyone that the serum didn’t work on. God knows what he does to any poor soul that innocently walks into that building and gets trapped.”
With this new knowledge, Nathan knew he fucked up by coming into this beautiful hell. Now filled with dreaded emotions, he gets onto his feet and sets onward through the hallway. As he reaches the beginning of the hallway, the front door is unexpectedly busted down by an already all too familiar figure, Subject Zero. Reacting quickly, Nathan sprints to the farthest back room of the house. Being the master bedroom, it has plenty of space but sadly doesn’t have a lock on the door. Thinking quickly, Nathan slams the door and nervously shoves a large stand up dresser down on its side and in front of the doorway. He knows it won’t hold for long, especially considering, just a mere seconds ago, he witnessed Subject Zero burst a door off its hinges in the blink of an eye. Subject Zero is on the hunt, looking in every room all while Nathan stands in the master bedroom freaking out. Eventually, he comes to his senses and looks out the room's only window. It’s quite a drop below due to the house sitting on a slanted yard. Without hesitation, Nathan prepares himself for his only option. He opens the window and prepares to jump as the door of the room begins to be beaten upon. The door eventually breaks in half and standing on the other side is Subject Zero. Nathan slings himself out the window but it inevitably leads to pain. Nathan, with a possibly broken ankle, stands against the wall to stay as Subject Zero looks through the window wondering how he could lose his only entertainment so easily. Subject Zero eventually angrily wanders off as he cusses at himself. Nathan takes that as his cue to stumble his way into the nearby forest. Nathan manages to make it a decent distance into the forest before stumbling and falling next to a large oak tree. Expecting to be free from danger for at least a while, he relaxes against the tree and closes his eyes. Far too early for assumptions, he hears something and quickly opens his eyes to see Subject Zero’s fist unexpectedly rushing to his face, resulting in a knockout. After a while, Nathan cracks his eyes open, barely able to see. He looks around in a trance until he hears a familiar voice. “Hey, Nate! Nate! Wake the fuck up! I’m not dead!” Nathan fully comes to and looks over to see an upside down Charlie. Confused, he looks at Charlie unsure of what to say. Eventually he speaks. “What the fuck…? Why the hell are you upside down?” Charlie points to Nathan’s feet, revealing he is in fact, the one upside down hanging by his feet. “Oh, fuck… WHAT THE FUCK?!? Get me down, you asshole!” Charlie unties the rope, leading to Nathan falling on his head. Rubbing his head, Nathan gets up with ease, which leads him to wonder why there’s no pain in his ankle. He quickly shrugs it off and looks back at Charlie as he finally realizes the situation. “Wait a damn minute, how the hell are you alive? I saw you get beaten to a pulp.” “Yeahhhh… Well, first off, thanks for leaving me, but I’ll tell you everything I know, just as they did for me.” Charlie points over to a small crowd of people waiting behind the dark shadows of the room. With a short, yet detailed, briefing, he tells Nathan that these people are all the missing people they’ve been reporting about. They all have been curious people who have wandered into the facility but inevitably became a morbid science experiment by Subject Zero. Charlie continues on to tell Nathan that every single one of these people have been injected with a similar serum as Subject Zero but each one is a slightly altered version. “So, let me get this straight… These people have all been injected with the same damn insanity poison as that madman and there’s absolutely no telling who could lose it and kill us with FUCKING TELEKINISIS!” “Yeah, pretty much. But I’ve been told that Subject Zero murders every failed attempt before they hurt any of his other precious test subjects. So far, all he’s done is prolong the insanity effects.” “Charlie, we have to somehow get the fuck out of here.” “We can’t. Do you not understand what I just said?” “Look, I get that these people are innocent but they’re obviously going to be massive dangers to humanity. We can get out of here. I don’t know how but… Somehow!” “Nate! I can’t get out of here.” “What the fuck are you talking about?” Charlie raises up his arm and reveals a small pinprick of a needle in his skin. “Charlie, what is that? No… Wait, you were injected too?” “Yeah.” “FUCK!” “Look, as far as I’m concerned, you haven’t been injected. There’s no needle mark in your skin. YOU could actually get out of here.” “I’m not leaving you behind again, Charlie! It was a nightmare seeing what they did to you the first time.” “Nathan, I -” Suddenly and very unexpectedly, one of the people in the crowd begins to scream from within the shadows. Nathan, confused and afraid, looks over at the man losing his sanity. Within seconds, the man stops screaming as the entire room falls into a deafening silence. The man looks in Nathan’s direction and shines a demonic grin with a stare that could pierce the soul of any mortal man. Knowing the man is coming toward him, Nathan slowly starts backing up against the cold concrete walls. The man, with all new senses, uses his new telekinetic ability to push others from the crowd aside. Charlie, being brave for the first and possibly final time in his life, attempts to stand in the way but is quickly subdued as he’s flung against the wall. Finally reaching Nathan, the man brings his gaze into a full on stare into Nathan’s soul. For Nathan, it’s as if death has come for him. Suddenly, the man’s gaze is ripped away by a familiar face of evil. Subject Zero heard the screams and came to claim his failed experiment. This led to an all-out brawl between the two men. Anyone would describe it in the same way you would if two rabid dogs were fighting over food. One dog gets up after being ripped open and the other gets its face gashed by a hard hitting blow, yet they still fight. Only difference between the two, one is just a dog wanting its food and the other is trained to kill. Suddenly, with a vicious blow, Subject Zero wins the fight when he takes the man’s head and slams it so hard into the concrete floor that his skull cracks open causing blood, brains, and skull fragments to fly over the silent crowd. With one final glance, Subject Zero looks over the entire crowd. He ends his gaze by making sure Nathan is the last to see his devilish eyes. Soon after, he leaves the room and locks the door. Nathan stares at the corpse lying on the ground with a look of pure terror and proceeds to collapse onto the floor while holding back tears. The small concrete room soon fills with despair as everyone watches the tears of pain and fear run down Nathan’s face. Charlie tries to make his long-time friend feel a little more hopeful, although he soon gives up as well until he has a moment of realization. He remembers back to when they first were searching for information he had found an article with some intriguing details. “Okay, so, there may be some hope after all.” “Charlie, what hope is there? Huh?! You’re pretty much fucked and I don’t exactly see a way out of here.” “One of the articles back at the house we were in said something about a self-destruct button. That’s also how you open the main doors. Apparently, no one ever bothered, or I guess, never got the chance to hit the self-destruct timer and run their asses to the door. What if we- I mean, YOU could actually do that?” “Charlie, I already told you I don’t want to leave you behind.” “GOD DAMN IT, NATHAN! I know… FUCK! I know. But I want you to survive. Can’t you just listen to me for once?! I would follow you through hell and back and it kind of feels that way right now. So? Can you just listen to what I want you to do for once while I’m practically on my deathbed?!” “Okay! Okay…” Suddenly, an unexpected chance of escape arrives at their feet. Subject Zero and a few of his mannequins walk in to remove the mutilated corpse from the room. Unexpectedly, one of the people in the crowd begins to scream out in pain just like the other man did moments ago before his demise. “Oh, great…” Subject Zero says irritatedly. Soon after, multiple others begin to scream out in pain until eventually the entire crowd follows suit. Nathan, and somehow Charlie have not been affected. The room quickly becomes engulfed in a hurricane of insanity. This leads Subject Zero and the mannequins to getting distracted by the madness and accidentally leaves the door open. Subject Zero quickly gets attacked by everyone in the room but he holds his ground firmly. Nathan knows this is the perfect chance to escape and signals Charlie to come with him. Charlie hesitantly comes along but right as they reach the door Nathan turns to hear the sounds of Charlie going through the worst pain of his life. Nathan looks in confusion but quickly realizes he’s about to have to accept his friend’s fate. Nathan refuses to accept it, but he knows he needs to. Charlie suddenly lunges at Nathan and uses his last act of sanity and control to push him out the door. “Get. To the button. Please.” “Charlie, I- I’m-” “I’m sorry…” Charlie finally snaps and is engulfed in pure raging insanity. He lunges at Nathan but before he reaches him, Nathan, with teary eyes, slams the door onto his friend, turns, and begins running out into the seemingly vast wilderness. As he runs, Nathan hears the cries of a dozen men and women as they get ripped apart. Knowing that among them is his best friend, Nathan begins to cry as he continues to run away from his previous hell.

2024.06.09 23:36 Ok_Shirt_1574 What if Gabby and Fiore never swapped teams Part 1

Episode 1: When the votes for the fake double elimination are read, Derek and Trevor announce that this was a fake elimination to show that first impressions are important but doesn’t swap Gabby and Fiore. I imagine the Teal team would end up winning invincibility thanks to Fiore(who gives Grett the credit for the fake flag) but I think Will and Ashley would probably at least talk things out with Gabby when they notice how upset she is and explain they were just concerned about what she said to Nick which she’s understanding about.
Episode 2: Alec and Ellie invite Gabby into their outcast alliance which she eagerly accepts since she doesn’t feel like she belongs on the team that well. As for Fiore, I think she’d probably interact the most with Grett so she’d carry the log with her. I doubt she’ll find the totem since Grett would probably forbid her to. For the sake of simplicity, I’ll say Gabby still finds it somehow. I think Will still has his freak out but since Ellie and Gabby would prefer to go together, Alec has to deal with it this time in which the two will likely get nowhere because of it.
Because of this, Purple Team loses and since Nick would see Will as a liability(and I’m sure Alec or Ellie would talk to him or something), Will goes home. Tom will still get caught by Drew but he’s not the only one who catches wind of his late night exploits…
Episode 3: Nick would be at odds with Ashley and Lill for voting off Will but he assures them they’ll be fine since he’s sure Alec and Ellie would never side with a “psychopath” like Gabby. This challenge would relatively go the same as in canon, and I feel the guys alliance will target Fiore but Grett would still frame Drew like in the show, sending him home. Fiore is PISSED at the fact there were three votes against her and swears revenge on the boys in the confessional.
Episode 4: At this point, I believe Fiore and Grett will form an actual alliance with Grett believing she’s using Fiore as a pawn. Oh that poor fool. For the Purple Team, Alec would go with Nick on the canoes while Gabby goes with Ellie and I’m definitely sure Ellie would tell Gabby about her plans for the million which Gabby would definitely comfort her for.
I think the challenge would still go the same as canon just with Fiore taking Gabby’s place and in the end, it’s a tie between Gabby and Nick, and I think Gabby uses her totem since she’d probably feel she’s in danger and Ellie would recommend it. So Nick gets eliminated like in the show.
Episode 5: Fiore’s phone call would probably involve her parents and they’d probably yell at her from the phone, probably calling her a mistake, causing her to hang up in fury. The Teal Team is immediately concerned but Fiore reassures them she’ll manage. For the challenge, I imagine Alec would cook with Ellie where they’d talk about alliance plans and Alec would explain that once they get rid of Lill and Ashley, they must stop losing challenges so the three of them can dominate.
In the end, the Purple Team still loses and Fiore would volunteer to vote off one of the Purple Team members. This is where Alec has his first interaction with Fiore and he gets her to vote off Ashley for being a powerhouse which Fiore has no problem with. Lill and Ashley still get eliminated here.
Episode 6: Fiore and Grett both work together to ensure Jake and Tom’s breakup and I think Fiore will probably let Grett get hit by a tranquilizer so she can win immunity. Meanwhile I believe Alec will still win immunity for himself on the Purple Team so I think Fiore would backstab Grett and Alec chooses to keep Ellie over Gabby. Ellie and Gabby kiss before Gabby “leaves” and Grett is furious. However, the two of them are switching teams.

2024.06.09 23:22 Informal_Patience821 I Just Noticed Rashad Khalifa totally fulfilled a prophecy!! Why has nobody noticed this?! 😖 - I'm in full blown shock right now! (Part 2)

Verse 29 - The purpose of sending this chosen messenger:

God says:
"That he may make evident that they indeed have conveyed the Messages of their Lord. He has encompassed what is with them and He enumerated all things in number.” (The Quran 72:29)
The verse uses the past tense verb "أَحَاطَ" (aḥāṭa) which means "encompassed" or "surrounded." The verb "لَدَيْهِمْ" (ladayhim) involves possession and is not bound by tense in the same way verbs are. So an accurate interpretation would be that God has encompassed what is with them, meaning what is with this chosen messenger and his time (i.e. the Quran), or that God has encompassed (past tense) what was with them (past tense), meaning the prophet and his companions. It can refer to a present or ongoing state resulting from a past action but the "he may make clear" refers to a future event, which indeed makes this a prophecy. Either way, Rashad fully fulfilled it all. This is exactly what transpired. The verse continues:
"And He enumerated all things in number."
The preservation and guarding of the Quran was done by way of numerical patterns/codes embedded within the Quran, God enumerated everything in numbers.

Answering the weak claims of liars, doubters and rejecters:

I will quickly go over a couple claims that I found online and refute them. I will only answer claims I personally think are response worthy. The rest are not even worth the time.

Claim: "Rashad's overall message was unlike that of other prophets/messengers":

This is totally false, because he eradicated prevalent Shirk, the same Shirk that still to this day continues to "flourish" amongst traditionalists.
God says in the Quran, interestingly in the same chapter that we discussed above (i.e. Chapter 72, The Jinn):
"And the mosques are for God, so do not call upon anyone with God." (The Quran 72:18)
The traditionalists are all invoking the prophet, in the same manner they are invoking God. They are all (and I mean literally all of them) saying during their 5 daily prayers:
'as-salaamu 'alaika ayyuha n-nabiyyu' (Peace be on you, O Prophet!)
This is literally an invocation directed to an entity other than God, namely prophet Muhammad. Rashad came and eradicated this Shirk from the Muslim community, but traditionalists remain in their worship of the prophet and refuse to be reminded and reformed.
The real question should be; why would an imposter (who hypothetically was inspired by Satan) want to eradicate prevalent Shirk from the Muslim Ummah?

Claim: "All messengers were prophets, therefor there's a seal on messengership as well!"

And when we ask them: why? They indirectly answer: "Because we say so!" and expect us to just take their words for it.
There's literally nothing behind this erroneous analogy of theirs that supports it. They are literally just claiming that God is bound by a rule. They are literally just inventing and fabricating rules they expect God to submit to.
God says:
“but he is the Messenger of God and the seal (i.e. end) of the Prophets” (The Quran 33:40)
They quote this verse and use it as some sort of evidence while this very verse is the exact opposite, it is against them, but they are rendered incapable of perceiving it.
Messengers are not prophets by default, they are just messengers, whereas prophets are individuals who receive prophecies from God that they convey to people, which makes them messengers as well. This is the linguistic definition of these words. It's baffling how this understanding has been reversed by traditionalists, with the claim that messengers are both prophets and messengers, while prophets are merely prophets. This claim is totally baseless and makes no sense at all.
God has not defined these words in the Quran in any specific way because the Quran is not a dictionary or lexicon; the definitions of the words are something we should naturally understand. Just as we naturally should know where Mecca is located or where the former Qibla was located. Both messengers and prophets are sent by God with a revelation (Scriptures or not) and with Clear Signs, whilst calling for submission and the worship of God alone. Prophets, in addition to all of that, also receive prophecies, foretelling the future, which is why they are called 'prophets.'
Rashad was a messenger of God, not a prophet. He didn't receive a new prophecy because the knowledge of the timing of the Hour was already present with us embedded within the Quran. He was only guided by Gabriel and shown how to uncover it. Prophet Muhammad is the one who received this prophecy originally, but it was obscured from everyone (including prophet Muhammad), hence why he was directed to say:
"Say, 'I do not know whether that which you are promised is near, or if my Lord has appointed for it a distant term. [God is] the Knower of the Unseen, and He reveals unto none His unseen, except who He has chosen of a messenger..." (The Quran 72:25-27)
God states:
"And We did not send before you except men to whom We revealed. So ask the people of the scripture if you do not know, with the clear proofs and the Scriptures. And We sent down to you the Reminder so that it may make clear to the people what has been sent down to them, and perhaps they may reflect." (The Quran 16:42-43)
Everyone that was sent by God had some sort of revelation, whether it was by way of Scriptures and Clear Signs. There's no specific thing distinguishing the two (except for the linguistic distinction I mentioned here above).
It is only their fallacious analogy, that's all. It is based on a passage from the Quran saying; prophets ruled according to Moses Law, the Torah, therefor, a messenger is someone who brings a new Law. Did they forget that Jesus was a messenger and a prophet and he didn't abrogate the Torah?:
"[The Day] when God will say, 'O Jesus, Son of Mary, remember My favor upon you and upon your mother when I supported you with the Pure Spirit and you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and when I taught you writing and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel." (The Quran 5:110)
Do you see how fallacious their reasoning actually is? Disregard their weak arguments; it is all weak in my eyes and should be equally so in yours too. God says:
"And We do not send the messengers except as bringers of good tidings and warners. So whoever believes and REFORMS - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve." (6:48)
Messengers are bringers of good tidings and they serve as warners, and their purpose is to make us believe and to reform us (by the Will and Grace of God). Messengers are also described with revelations of the Book and the Balance (which literally has to do with "Laws"):
"We sent aforetime our messengers with clear signs and sent down with them the Book and the Balance, that people may stand forth in justice; and We sent down Iron, in which is strong material, as well as many benefits for mankind, that God may test who it is that will help, unseen, Him and His messengers: For God is full of strength, exalted in might." (The Quran 57:25)
Prophets are also specifically described as being sent with Scriptures so they can "judge between people":
"Mankind was [of] one religion [i.e. before their deviation]; then God sent the prophets as bringers of good tidings and warners and sent down with them the Scripture in truth to judge between the people concerning that in which they differed." (The Quran 2:213)
Both are described as being sent with revelations containing Laws.

The Sunni definition of "prophet" is derived from the founders of Sunnism, the ancient rabbis:

From a Sunni/Salafi Fatwa:
"The well-known difference between a Prophet and a Messenger is that a Messenger is one to whom a law is revealed and he is commanded to convey it, whilst a Prophet is one to whom a law is revealed but he is not commanded to convey it. But this distinction is not free of problems, because a Prophet is also commanded to call people, convey the Message and judge among the people."
Source
That it is possible for a prophet to receive revelations from God and suppress them and not convey them to the people, is nothing but a copy/paste from ancient rabbinic literature. The Sunnis got this from the rabbis of old (Maimonides, to be exact):
"But with regard to one who suppresses his prophecy because he does not want to share it with the public, and one who contemptuously forgoes the statement of a prophet and refuses to heed it, and a prophet who violated his own statement and failed to perform that which he was commanded to do, his death is at the hand of Heaven, as it is stated: “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall not hearken unto My words that he shall speak in My name, I will exact it of him” (Deuteronomy 18:19)."
Source: Sanhedrin 89a - 8.
Two points to consider:
  1. Why would God reveal something to someone and not command him to convey it to the people? Why are they attributing this sheer stupidity to God?
  2. To claim that God would reveal something to someone with the purpose of conveying it to others while simultaneously allowing him the free will to choose whether he wants to convey it or not, and if we hypothetically say that this is the case, then if a prophet were to actually not convey the revelation, then this would imply that God doesn't know the future or that He randomly sends Revelations to people and hopes they will convey it to others. Either way, this is a stupidity God is far above.
To refute both of these points, we have to look no further than the Quran itself:
God says:
"O Messenger, convey that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, for if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. And God will protect you from the people. Indeed, God does not guide the disbelieving people." (The Quran 5:67)
And,
"Indeed, those who conceal what We sent down of clear proofs and guidance after We made it clear for the people in the Scripture - those are cursed by God and cursed by those who curse." (The Quran 2:159)
Hiding what God sends down is only done by cursed individuals, to claim that God would send revelations to cursed people stems from nothing other than ancient Rabbinism*.
\Rabbinism: Rabbinic Judaism has been the mainstream form of Judaism since the 6th century CE, after the codification of the Babylonian Talmud, and also "coincidentally" after the advent of the Quran.)
The phrase: "for if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message" - implies that the purpose of the revelation is to convey it to others. It implies that it is expected of him.

The two deleted verses:

It is interesting to note that there's only 2 extra verses, because matching the mastery of the Quran with more than 2 verses is impossible. It's impossible to mimic the Quran with more than 2 verses without making mumbo jumbo phrases and sentences that make no sense. The shortest chapter in the Quran is made up of 3 verses, nobody has ever brought 3 verses that match the Quran.
If you think it is to deny the Quran if one were to believe that 9:128-129 are added verses, not belonging to it, then you would also believe that 'Ali disbelieved, according to historical accounts. This is recorded in the history books of Sunni scholars themselves.
We find in Kitab al-Masahif by Ibn Abu Dawud, where he suggests that Umar ibn Al-Khattab considered adding verses 128 and 129 to a separate Surah if they had been three verses instead of two, indicating some recognition of their contentious nature during the compilation of the Quran. It is also mentioned that Zaid bin Thabit found these two verses with only one scribe, namely with Khuzaima ibn Thabit. A whooping 65 scribes to the disposal of prophet Muhammad, and only one had these two verses written down. They still included them, which was unusual given the strict criteria for including verses based on multiple witnesses (Source: Ibn Abu Dawud, Kitab al-Masahif; Al-Suyuti, Al-Itqan fi Ulum al-Quran).
In As-Suyuti's Al-Itqan fi Ulum al-Quran, we read that Ali ibn Abi Talib expressed concerns about additions to the Quran. According to a narration by Muhammad ibn Sirin from Ikrima, Ali refrained from pledging allegiance to Abu Bakr because he believed that something had been added to the Book of God, indicating his suspicion regarding the integrity of certain verses (Source: Al-Suyuti, Al-Itqan fi Ulum al-Quran).
Do you also consider 'Ali to have apostatized? If not, then why would we be? Especially considering the fact that we now even have substantial evidence that two additional verses were added and that precisely these two verses, the verses that always have been shrouded in doubt, that they ruin the 19 code. But when omitted, the code remains in tact.

The verse saying "No falsehood approaches it":

The traditional translation of this verse is:
"Falsehood does not approach it from before or behind; it is a Revelation from the Wise, the Praiseworthy." (The Quran 41:42)
This above is a deviation from the Arabic grammar of the words and the Arabic idiom being used. Let's go through each word, but before doing that, we need to read a few verses before this verse so we get some context:
40: "Indeed, those who are deviating concerning our Âyât (Signs/Verses) are not concealed from Us. Is he who is cast into the Fire better off, or is it the one who safely comes forth on the Day of Resurrection? Go ahead and do whatever you wish. Indeed, He is Seeing of whatever you do."
41: "[these are] indeed those who disbelieved in the Reminder after it came to them. And indeed, it is surely a Mighty Book."
42: "Falsehood does not come to it, neither from its past nor from its future. It is a Revelation from One who is Wise, Praiseworthy."
The phrase: "بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ" (From its past): Literally: "Between his hands" - As I have already explained earlier in this post, this is an idiom which all traditional translators seem to be totally ignorant about. It simply means "his past" or "before him (i.e. his time)."
The phrase: "وَلَا مِنْ خَلْفِهِۦ" (nor from its future): Literally: "And not from after him/it" - The word "Khalfihi" can mean "Behind it" and it can mean "After it." Because the idiom "Bayni yadayhi" precedes it and means "Its past," and has to do with time, therefor "Khalfihi" likewise is about time and should be translated as "its future." The word "Khalaf" is the opposite of the word "Salaf," which is generally taken to mean "predecessors" while "Khalaf" is the opposite, "successors." It is about the past and the successive future.
God is ensuring us that the Quran is immune to falsehood and cannot be corrupted, even if attempts are made to alter it with lies and fabrications. How can this be best demonstrated and proven true? Through a numerical code that preserves every aspect of the text. If a single letter is added or removed, the code fails. This is exactly what Rashad Khalifa discovered during his lifetime. In other words, even if intentional attempts are made to distort the Quran, they will fail because there is a safeguard in place. This verse does not state that people cannot attempt to distort the Quran; anyone can distort its contents (even you or I can do it right now at this current moment). Rather, it means that falsehood cannot successfully infiltrate it at any time and be forever being considered to be the original Quran, thereby ensuring its preservation.
To claim that this verse is implying that nobody ever will be able to distort the Quran and remove or add from it, then you would also essentially be saying that Rashad Khalifa disproved the truthfulness of the Quran because he did just that, he removed two verses from it and millions of Muslims are reading his Quran and fully believe the Quran was distorted while it wasn't (hypothetically).
Another interpretation of this verse (that is fully valid and plausible) is that God is talking about the time during which it is being revealed and written down by scribes. Because the verse ends saying "...It is a Revelation from One who is Wise, Praiseworthy." In other words;
"Falsehood does not come to it neither in its past nor its future, (because) it is a Revelation from a Wise One..."
I.e. It is not falsehood that is being revealed, neither in its past nor will there be any revealed in its future, because it is all from God. The last phrase is what makes this the most likely accurate interpretation.

Weird Sunni translation of this verse exposes their ignorance and thus also their mistranslation of 72:28:

This very verse uses the exact same idiom that 72:28 contains. The "Between his hands" one. This is how traditionalists translate it in this verse (i.e. 41:42):
It cannot be proven false from any angle...
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, The Clear Quran
Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or from behind it...
— Saheeh International
that cannot be approached by falsehood, neither from its front, nor from its behind...
— T. Usmani
which falsehood cannot touch from any angle...
— M.A.S. Abdel Haleem
Falsehood may not enter it from the front or from the rear...
— A. Maududi (Tafhim commentary)
Falsehood cannot come at it from before it or from behind it...
— M. Pickthall
No falsehood can approach it from before or behind it...
— A. Yusuf Ali
Falsehood cannot come to it from before it or behind it...
— Al-Hilali & Khan
The rendering: "From any angle" is a complete mistranslation because that is not what the Arabic verse says.
The rendering: "its front nor from behind it" - What does this even mean? Does the Quran have front doors and back doors? It is not even an idiom in Arabic, let alone English. These translators just assumed that this is an idiom in both Arabic and English, while the literal translation makes very little sense in both Arabic and English. How would someone come to the Quran with falsehood behind it?
Does it mean "from the frontside" of its cover? And the "backside" of its cover as well? The Quran was not even in book form at that particular time when this verse was revealed, so how is that explained? The fact of the matter is that they have failed to understand this idiom, which is why they also mistranslated the verse where Rashad Khalifa is prophesied:
"Except who He has chosen of a messenger, for indeed he will follow a path from before him (i.e. before his time), and after him will be a (guarding) monitoring."
The same idiom is used in this verse. I see this as a significant sign from our Lord. It seems He used this idiom in these two verses specifically for this very reason, to show that they are ignorant of the Quran's language, its idioms, and that they completely disregard its grammar and structure of the verses and etc. This is why they end up with these awkward phrases like, "Falsehood may not enter it from the front or from the rear," and "Falsehood cannot come at it from before it or from behind it," among others, which we won't delve into any further. Not only is the English grammar appalling, but these statements are also meaningless in English. They pay no attention to this and have likely confused people by the masses.

The only person to claim messengership that has been assassinated is Rashad Khalifa:

It is very notable that, out of all people who ever have claimed messengership (or prophethood), Rashad is the only one who was assassinated. This also speaks volumes. Sure, Sunni Hadiths speak about a few who claimed prophethood and were consequently executed, but we all know how truthful and accurate Sunni Hadiths are.
This is just an interesting tidbit, it speaks volumes to me personally.

Conclusion:

Wasn't everything in Chapter 72 exactly what Rashad Khalifa experienced and accomplished? It undoubtedly was, and it is impossible to deny. Knowing this, a rejector will certainly be called to account and questioned on Judgement Day as to why he rejected and denied something God made confirmable and undeniable.
God has made it evident that the Hadiths are nothing but fabrications and He has made it evident that they even tempered with the Quran. If you keep on believing that the Quran Sunnis uphold is fully from God, you are literally dooming yourself and transgressing against God because He has revealed means for us that enables us to confirm Rashad's claims. You are part of the problem. What is the difference between you and a Kâfir (disbeliever) of the past such as those who opposed prophet Muhammad? Nothing at all. So fear God and submit to Him fully.
I urge you, O Muslims, to fear God! O people, fear God, because denying a messenger of God renders you an apostate or a Kâfir (a rejector who covers the truth after knowing it). You have no right to deny Rashad Khalifa. God did not send a messenger and allowed you to keep living your life doubting him or totally disregarding him. Imagine if the early Muslims behaved like that? Do you think God would have been pleased with them? All the excuses I have found online are very weak and based on flawed analogies and fallacious reasonings, such as "God said that every messenger was sent to people who spoke his mother tongue, therefore, Rashad must be a fake messenger." And these people actually believe this will be a plausible excuse on the Day of Judgement🤦‍♂️.
Fear God, O believers, and submit to Him fully! You have been shown the truth, and it is now upon you to testify it. How you do that is your decision to make.
Another major excuse people use is that Rashad supposedly claimed that his Quran translation was divinely inspired/guided, and this is nothing but a lie. Nowhere has he claimed this (as far as I know). There are interviews on YouTube where you can clearly hear him saying that he made a personal promise to God in a supplication that he would not move past a word (while translating) until he fully understood its definition. This does not mean "My translation was guided/inspired by God Himself."
Remember this Statement God made concerning those who are rendered incapable of seeing His Signs:
"I will turn away from My Âyât [i.e. Signs/Verses] those who are arrogant in the earth without right. And if they see every Sign, they will not believe in it, and if they see the path of right guidance, they will not adopt it as a path, and if they see the path of misguidance, they will adopt it as a path. That is because they denied Our Âyât (Signs/Verses) and were heedless of them." (The Quran 7:146)
With this, I end this article, and may God open your hearts to Truth and guide us all and keep us steadfast upon His Straight Path until we die, âmÎn.
/ By your brother, Exion.

2024.06.09 22:44 Bene-dict [Art][OC] My Triton Storm Herald Barbarian, Nami!

Nami (Illustration by u/Bene-dict)

Nami

Gender: Woman
Race: Triton
Class: Barbarian
Subclass: Storm Herald
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Height: 5’0”
Weight: 136 lbs
Birthday: May 8th
Age: 31
Favorite Food: Fish Head Stew
Favorite Color: Seafoam Green
Theme Songs: Mikky Ekko - Who Are You, Really?, Phantogram - Black Out Days

Backstory - Clearwater

The following spoiler warnings are for my campaigns group, except for Monet's player.
After leaving her old home in the ocean at 21, my character came to the surface and took on odd jobs like deep sea fishing and loading transport ships in Clearwater, a port city in my DM's homebrew world. During one of these jobs, a fisherman refused to pay her fairly, calling her "half fish." Being a barbarian and all, she wasn't going to take this lightly so in retaliation, she destroyed his ship and stole the anchor, which she now wields as her main weapon. This act caught the attention of the Iron Syndicate, who sought her out for her potential as a useful grunt.
Believing she was being recruited as an underground fighter, Nami signed a seven year contract with the Iron Syndicate, unaware they intended to use her as a discreet executioner to eliminate targets in their underground fighting ring to make deaths look accidental. Nami, as she was known outside the ring, adopted the fighting name "The Tsunami" and she became a niche underground fighter celebrity, popular with the dock workers at the wharf.
The Iron Syndicate provided her with an apartment by the wharf, where she spent her time learning how to fish and cook her catches. She starts by chopping off the fishes' heads, which she saves until she has enough to make her favorite dish, fish head stew. Next, she boils the fish to remove the skin, which she sets aside to later fry into crispy fish skin chips. She uses the fish meat to prepare a variety of dishes, including fish tacos, fish and chips, fisherman's breakfast, and sourdough bread bowl with seafood chowder. Nami spends much of her free time around the wharfs, forming strong friendships with the local fishermen. She also frequents a nearby tavern, where she often drinks and intervenes to stop fights that break out. Nami is fiercely upset by a scathing review of the tavern published in the newspaper, unaware that it was written by Monet, another member of their group.
As her reputation as a fighter grew, the Iron Syndicate decided it was time to use her for their true purpose, thinking that her established status would make any accidents look more believable. They tasked her with killing her next opponent in the ring, convincing her it was the lesser evil. In reality, the target was likely just a business rival. Trusting the organization, Nami went through with the kill but immediately regretted it afterward. Rumors started spreading about "The Tsunami's" strength and her lethal prowess in the ring, further adding to her reputation.
Some time after this event, Detective Monet, our Shadar-kai Divination Wizard from The Cursed Lands, began investigating the Iron Syndicate. However, her efforts were cut short when she was caught by the organization. Interrogated and providing little to no useful information, they deemed her expendable, as she was not officially affiliated with any faction but rather a freelancer. Consequently, the Iron Syndicate threw her into the ring as Nami’s next opponent, intending for her to meet her demise 'accidentally.'
However, burdened by guilt from the previous innocent death she caused, Nami sought out Monet before the match, grappling with her conscience. Sensing Nami's reluctance to commit murder, Monet devised a plan: Nami would stage a fatal blow to Monet, faking her death, allowing them to escape together afterward. Since then, Nami has been evading Iron Syndicate, knowing they would not take kindly to their celebrity fighter not completing her contract and helping an investigator escape with information on the Iron Syndicates criminal activities. By the start of the campaign, four months have passed since Nami fled from the Iron Syndicate, still owing five more years on her contract. During this time, she collaborated with Detective Monet on various cases.
The next spoiler warning is for my entire campaign group. I'M TALKING TO YOU MONET'S PLAYER. lol

Before Clearwater:

Nami, once known as Luculia Stormtide, grew up in a tight-knit triton community beneath the ocean's surface, locked in a conflict against malevolent elementals threatening to overrun the material plane. Her parents were humble kelp farmers, so Luculia had to work ecceptionally hard to become a paladin at the temple. After achieving her dream to be a paladin, she was on the cusp of a prestigious promotion, deeply committed to safeguarding her people. Alongside her dedication to duty, she nurtured a loving relationship with her longtime girlfriend, Nimue, a druid, and cherished the impending prospect of marriage with her.
However, tragedy struck when a deadly illness ravaged her community, leaving her no choice but to venture to the surface in search of aid. Despite saving her people by bringing a healer back, her actions breached a strict law prohibiting external contact, leading to her exile and the stripping of her identity and name, Luculia Stormtide. At the age of 21, she lost everything dear to her: her family, her beloved partner, her community, her status as a paladin, and even her ability to wield divine magic.
The betrayal she experienced has left Nami deeply scarred, fostering major trust issues. Reluctant to offer her help without assurances, she often insists on upfront payment before committing to any task, a measure to shield herself from further betrayal. She now expects everyone to cheat her, especially those who get close to her, such as Monet, since they can hurt her the most. Nami sometimes fantasizes about returning home to destroy various buildings, including the temple, but she refrains, as part of her still holds onto hope. Although Nami is now very cynical, she continues to live by the wharf near the ocean, hoping someone will return and welcome her back to her old home.
At the start of the campaign, it will mark a decade since Nami last laid eyes on her old home in the ocean, having embraced Clearwater as her new residence. Nimue, Nami's FiancĂŠ, would hardly recognize the person Nami has become today. During the time she was known as Luculia, she epitomized femininity, kindness, loyalty, and quietude. However, exile and exploitation have left her jaded, indifferent to social decorum, distrusting, and prone to vulgarity.
About using my art: I am totally cool with you using this image for your own triton or fish person in your own private campaign! However, please do not claim the character design and art to be yours or use it for monetary gain. Thank you!

2024.06.09 22:41 tempmailgenerator Integrating Mailtrap with Cypress for Email Testing

Exploring Email Testing with Cypress and Mailtrap

Email testing plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of communication strategies in web applications. With the advent of virtual SMTP servers like Mailtrap, developers can simulate email sending in a safe and controlled environment, avoiding the pitfalls of sending test emails to real addresses. This process is vital for verifying both the functionality and appearance of emails before they reach the end user. The integration of such tools into testing frameworks has become increasingly popular, reflecting the growing emphasis on comprehensive automated testing in development cycles.
However, integrating these tools with modern testing frameworks like Cypress poses its unique challenges, especially when documentation is scarce or outdated. The search for a reliable solution to incorporate Mailtrap's capabilities with Cypress led to the discovery of the "cypress-mailtrap" package. Unfortunately, this package appears to be abandoned, lacking both updates and usage instructions. This scenario underscores the necessity for innovative approaches and community collaboration to create seamless workflows for email testing within development projects.
Command Description
require('cypress') Imports the Cypress testing framework into the script.
require('nodemailer') Imports the Nodemailer library for sending emails in Node.js.
require('./config') Imports configuration settings, such as Mailtrap credentials, from a local file.
nodemailer.createTransport() Creates a transport instance using Mailtrap's SMTP settings, which can be used to send emails.
transporter.sendMail() Sends an email using the configured transporter instance and Mailtrap SMTP settings.
describe() Defines a suite of tests in Cypress for organizing multiple related tests.
it() Defines an individual test case in Cypress, describing a single behavior or feature to test.
console.log() Prints a message to the console, useful for debugging or logging information during tests.
module.exports Exports a set of configurations or settings from a module, making them available for use in other parts of the application.
npm install cypress nodemailer --save-dev Command to install Cypress and Nodemailer as development dependencies in a Node.js project.

Advancements in Automated Email Testing

Email testing within the scope of application development serves a pivotal role, ensuring that all aspects of email communication, from delivery to content accuracy, function as intended. This need is particularly acute in environments where email interactions form a critical part of the user experience, such as in account verification, notifications, and promotional campaigns. Traditional email testing methods often involve manual checks and limited automation, which can be time-consuming and prone to human error. The integration of automated testing frameworks like Cypress with virtual SMTP services like Mailtrap represents a significant leap forward. These tools offer a controlled environment for developers to simulate the sending and receiving of emails without spamming real users, enabling thorough testing of email workflows and content.
This automated approach allows for the simulation of various scenarios that could affect email delivery and presentation, including spam filter behavior, email client formatting differences, and response time under load. Advanced testing strategies might include automated content validation to ensure that dynamic content, such as personalized greetings or account details, is correctly inserted into emails. Furthermore, integrating these tests into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines automates the validation process, catching issues early in the development cycle. This not only improves the quality and reliability of email communications but also significantly speeds up the development process by allowing developers to focus on feature development rather than manual testing.

Setting Up Cypress with Mailtrap for Enhanced Email Testing

JavaScript with Cypress and Node.js
const cypress = require('cypress'); const nodemailer = require('nodemailer'); const config = require('./config'); // Assuming this file contains your Mailtrap credentials // Set up Nodemailer with Mailtrap configuration const transporter = nodemailer.createTransport({ host: 'smtp.mailtrap.io', port: 2525, auth: { user: config.mailtrapUser, pass: config.mailtrapPassword } }); // Example email sending function function sendTestEmail() { const mailOptions = { from: '"Test" ', to: 'recipient@example.com', // Replace with a Mailtrap inbox address or your testing address subject: 'Testing Email with Mailtrap', text: 'Hello world?', html: 'Hello world?' }; transporter.sendMail(mailOptions, function(error, info) { if (error) { console.log(error); } else { console.log('Email sent: ' + info.response); } }); } // Cypress test to check email content describe('Email Testing with Mailtrap', function() { it('sends an email and checks its content', function() { sendTestEmail(); // Add your logic here to connect to Mailtrap's API, fetch the email, and assert its contents // Since Mailtrap's API might be used, refer to their documentation for the correct API endpoints and usage }); });

Automating Email Verification in Testing Workflows

Environment Setup and Configuration
// Environment setup for using Mailtrap with Cypress // This script assumes you have a Cypress testing environment already set up. // Install dependencies: Cypress, Nodemailer // npm install cypress nodemailer --save-dev // Configure your Mailtrap credentials securely // Create a config.js file or set environment variables module.exports = { mailtrapUser: 'your_mailtrap_username', mailtrapPassword: 'your_mailtrap_password' }; // Ensure you handle environment variables securely and do not hard-code credentials // Use process.env for accessing environment variables // Use the sendTestEmail function and Cypress tests from the previous script to integrate testing // Remember to adjust the to field in the mailOptions to match your Mailtrap inbox

Enhancing Development Workflows with Email Testing Automation

The adoption of automated email testing through platforms like Cypress and virtual SMTP servers such as Mailtrap brings numerous advantages to the software development lifecycle. By automating the process of testing emails, developers can ensure that their applications send emails correctly under various circumstances, including testing for content accuracy, format consistency across email clients, and timely delivery. This form of testing becomes crucial for applications where email is a key component of the user interaction, such as in e-commerce platforms, online services, and social networks, where transactional emails, notifications, and marketing communications are frequent.
Moreover, automated email testing contributes to a more robust quality assurance (QA) process by allowing for repetitive testing without manual intervention. This is particularly beneficial in agile development environments, where changes are made frequently and need to be tested quickly. Automation also supports the implementation of continuous integration and deployment pipelines, enabling teams to identify and rectify email-related issues promptly, thus reducing the risk of production bugs. The ultimate goal is to streamline the development process, ensuring that all email functionality works seamlessly before deployment, enhancing user satisfaction and engagement.

2024.06.09 22:31 Revenger1984 Reverie was unnecessary but I liked it anway

I just beat the game and damn did it fee like the main plot had absolutely no reason to be here. The jump into Daybreak is going to be jarring with this game sandwiched between the Cold Steel games and the next one.
Personally, I think most of the stories were wrapped up in CS4 and did not need further exploring. We didn't need Crossbell to be occupied for the 100th time by a "bad guys" and the concept of everyone's fears or hatred being used as a form of mind control really takes agency away from character choices. Turns out the vast majority of the enemies you fight are either brainwashed or fakes that act so real, it makes no sense. We got the endgame boss of alternate Rean acting like he is pulled from some bad ending timeline from CS4 but he's still an android in the end. I actually thought the AI literally brought him from another universe, so we got multi-verse shit going on but he disappeared in the end, so did the AI create a portal to another universe? or made a REALLY good replicate of Rean that made a different choice?
Also, the Grandmaster being on the title card was such a bait. We don't see her for 99.9% of the game and she contributes nothing to the plot that it made more sense to reverse the cover of the box. I actually forgot who she was until the extra story in the Corridor reminded me which serves only to bait us into Daybreak.
In fact, a lot of the daydreams seemed to only exist to satisfy the players need for more stories post CS4. But I HATE the fact that you need to unlock them like gacha level stuff, including other playable characters.
The Corridor's power scale can be utterly broken if you pulled in OP characters like McBurn and Aurelia into your team.
And just like CS4, there are WAY too many playable characters. I like how everyone is here but my god...EVERYONE
I found it cheap that Rufus went the Code Geass ending to make the world hate him in the end so he can die, then get subverted with saving him only to do the cliche "Rufus is now dead so you can live on as someone else" trope.
I don't actually HATE this game but damn, so many cliches, friendship speeches and feels all blended into one.

2024.06.09 22:29 a1ls watching for the first time & around the middle of s4… what is up with these woman’s taste in men?!

I’m super late to the party (you can’t make me say it, Kim) and I don’t know much about where this series is headed but the men in these women’s lives just seem like pure deadbeats?
These women are funny, interesting, intelligent, attractive, clearly capable… and they’re hanging around with Peter, or they were married to Bob, or the fake Doctor, Apollo and Kroy (I know where they’re both headed)…
(I actually like Gregg, but he and NeNe are divorced this season, RIP)
Is this just one of those ‘didn’t age well’ things and they seem much worse to people on a rewatch or were they all this unlikeable at the time too? (I mean if anyone out there at any point in time can like lights on but no ones home Bob…)
I’m not bothered about spoilers btw cuz there’s just way too many szns ahead of me for me to remember

2024.06.09 22:19 kale_chipss Legal name vs the name on my birth certificate dont match and its ruined my life.

So this is a long story I do apologize but I am trying my best to give as much information as possible because this is quite literally ruining my life.
I (F22) was born in the US ( NYC ) . When I was a few months old my parents got a divorce ( father gave my mother full custody) and my mother decided to move back to Ireland ( where she was from). I got what was called a foreign birth cert which is what you get when born abroad to an Irish national. On this certificate it said ( fake name obviously) Rachel X formally Known as Rachel T. This was done in 2005 and this basically acted as my name change document. She never changed the name on my US birth cert. All my documents minus my birth cert say X.
I grew up in Ireland, have an Irish passport, went to school there .. basically everything there. When I was 17 my mum got a job offer in the US and decided to take it up so we went to the American Embassy and I got my US documents ( My American birth cert, passport and Social Security Card). Im not entirely sure how she went about it but I know she basically changed my US name from T to X. Well once I turned 18 a few months after she kicked me out ( Had only been in the country a few months so this was fun). She wouldn't let me take any of my legal documents and I wasnt aware of any US laws and out of fear I didn't fight for it ( I kick myself every day for this..).
I then found my father who was living in NJ and moved in with him ( then covid hit). I told him everything and we tried everything we could to get my documents. I called the Irish consulate in NYC, they were of no help because they said that I had to contact the foreign affairs office.. but firstly they never responded to emails, they were also closed for a long period of time during covid lockdowns. When I eventually got a solid answer I was told that they could only give me my Foreign birth cert that matches the name on my birth certificate ( which isn't my legal name). I then stated that I couldn't do anything with this document because I needed the foreign birth cert to prove my name change.
I called several lawyers who dont know how to help my case or wont because its an Irish imigration issue not US. The Irish embassy / consulate refuses to help because I can only talk to someone in foreign affairs but I cant afford to call overseas and they never answer their emails. When I did get into contact I was told either change the name on my birth cert or get married. Unfortunately my father is overly strict and is forcing me to change my name back to match my birth cert (he is old fashioned) and I cant afford to change the name on my cert so i have to go his way.
Please please please help. This is genuinely my last hope because I cant even leave the country. I have nothing to my name. I have a social security card with X on it and a birth cert with T. I also managed to get an Irish passport but I cant leave the country to visit family or go to offices there because I am technically a US citizen so I can only leave on my US passport.
I have no ID, no drivers license. I am currently in my last 2 years of college and I have yet to do any internships because all of them require me to either fly to another state or drive. Which I cant do either of those things.

2024.06.09 22:13 Equivalent-Emu5975 Abusive Relation - Married to Separated

Hello,
I hope I get some inputs for this situation. PR application in processing and marriage breaking down due to abuse and threats. I am the PA and the spouse is dependent. Divorce is not an option at this time and spouse is not cooperating. Changing the status to Separated I have some question if that's acceptable by immigration and what are the required proofs or documents in this case? Also I appreciate it if I can get information on how to update the forms like IMM0008 below sections:
PA Section: Q13 Marital status (if Separated) Q14 a) Have you been previously married? Q14 c) Type of relationship ? To ?
Dependents Section: should the spouse be listed under this section if separated but not divorced or has to be removed? If must be listed what is " Relationship to PA" section 10 (a) should be filled with. there is such option as separated (only spouse, parent, child, other, etc)? Q16 a) your current marital status (for the dependent)? Q17 a) Have you been previously married?
Thank you in advance I appreciate any input as I want to be as much as truthful with the application

2024.06.09 21:54 kyberkrysta1 ex-guardian of my brother harassing, threatening, blackmailing myself, mother, father, and brother.

this one is long and complicated so buckle up. all names are fake for privacy. sorry for the formatting, i’m on mobile.
relevant info: I am 22, my husband is 22 and a navy veteran.
i gave my brother my old iphone 11 when i upgraded in 2022. i cant remember if i factory reset it or not.
Selena lives in Grant County, OR. My father lives in Walla Walla, WA. My parents got divorced in Oct 2023, and my mother and sister (9)came to live with my myself, my husband and our daughter in Hampton Roads, VA.
the 5 of us are currently driving back from va to wa.
My brother is trans. (FTM)
in summer 2023, my brother, Jaxon (16m) asked if he could go spend a school year with my moms (Liz, 40F) best friend at the time (Selena, 41m). He wanted to do this so he could work on Selena’s dad’s farm and save money for a car. My mom thought it would be good for him, so she signed a power of attorney agreement that expired when the school year was over (june 7, 2024), meaning at that time she relinquished guardianship back to my mother and father, and Jaxon would be driven back home to my parents.
During the school year, i received many middle of the night calls of him sobbing and saying he “couldn’t do this anymore.” he vented to me, sent me videos, and told me these things:
being across the country, my mother and i couldn’t do anything to help him get out of that situation. every time we offered to buy a plane ticket for him so come to VA, Selena would say “(he) needs to finish school” and my father was out of the country for work until May this year, so he couldn’t do anything either.
we did call the sheriff of grant county for a welfare check (multiple times) and they told us they couldn’t do anything unless there were visible marks or Jaxon’s life was in imminent danger. we called DHS/CPS (in december, when the problems started) and they told us they’d look into it. nothing ever came of that.
The day before school was officially over, Selena searched Jaxon’s backpack and found weed in it. (she had previously told him she didn’t care about weed because it’s legal in oregon) but she flew off the handle, screaming at him for HOURS. (he called me during her rant and some of the things i heard made my blood boil.
She then decided to STRIP SEARCH MY 16 YEAR OLD FTM BROTHER. this was his breaking point. he waited until about 2 AM, when he knew she was in bed, on June 7, then called one of his friends. they drove him back to my fathers house. (from john day OR to Walla Walla, WA.) when Jaxon told me he was with my dad, i relayed the info to Selena. She said “ok good”
about 2 hours after Jaxon had returned to my dad’s care, Selena texted me this:
“(Jaxon) has 24 hours to get (his) ass back here before i go to the police to charge (him) with minor in possession.”
i ignored her, not wanting to engage with her rage baiting. she sent more texts, all threatening to charge my brother (in Oregon) with a MIP (he doesn’t have drugs on his person currently, there is no video/photo evidence that the weed was even Jaxons, and he is back with his legal guardian in WA.)
when she got no response from myself or my mother other than “he’s with his dad”, she switched tactics. and texted me this:
“Please have (Jaxon) call me so i know he is safe”
i replied “ok” and relayed the info to my brother. he refuses to call her because she was horrible to him and he doesn’t want to be screamed at.
when he didn’t call her yesterday, she texted me, telling me she would call CPS on my father, the police, anything she could think of to try and scare me.
i texted her this yesterday at 8 AM after she tried calling me 10 times and texted me over 50 times with no reply.
“(Jaxon) is safe, he's with his parent (which trumps your power of attorney, which is over anyway. boo hoo.) thank god i don't have to pretend to like your snake ass anymore. go ahead and call cps, (Jaxon) has said (father) makes him feel safe, especially from you. so yeah!! go ahead, call CPS, and when they do nothing, go cry. sorry that you can't use my BROTHER for slave labor anymore, guess you'll have to actually HIRE someone at the farm now (boo hoo again). this is your official notice that any further contact with (father), my mother, or (Jaxon) will be documented for a harassment case and restraining order. have a fun life doing meth and being crazy, but don't involve us in it anymore. toodalooo!!!”
she then began texting my mom, threatening me with CPS for videos of me smoking weed (that i sent him on snapchat) and me talking about my struggle with cocaine addiction. (i’ve been clean since Halloween 2020). i haven’t replied to anything, simply screenshotting the messages and call logs, adding them to a folder to turn into police once we get to washington. harassment charges and restraining order.
after no replies, she once again started BOMBARDING my mother with texts. i’m copy/pasting some texts but changing names. my mother also didn’t respond, simply screenshotted and sent the pics to me for the folder.
“If she (referring to me) wants to continue to run her fat mouth....I have no issues releasing the videos I have to the police. Videos that she has no idea I have....from (Jaxon's) phone! I have 2 notebooks full of writing from (Jaxon) and countless screenshots as well as....this is the best part....the entire storage of (his) iPhone. Backups from every social media platform (he) has!!!”
(i know for a fact the backups off the iphone are bullshit bc he’s part of my iphone family and i would be notified if she tried to download anything from the cloud onto an unrecognized device. not to mention that she doesn’t have the icloud password. but that is neither here nor there.)
“"I want you to get the message across to (father) that I'm not playing. (Jaxon) needs to contact me....NOT (father) ....so that I know (Jaxon) is.... SAFE Mentally Stable /not suicidal Not on drugs I'm actually amazed that you and (father) think having her contact me after I have been the one caring for her is to much to ask. It screams dishonesty and feels like you guys are hiding something. There is no reason whatsoever (he) can't speak to me on the phone! If (he) is mad...to bad. If (he) is crying and claiming (he) don't want to talk to me for whatever reason.. oh fucking well. (Jaxon) has always been safe in my presence and in my care so I know for a fact (he) can not claim otherwise.”
“So again armed with enough shit to not only have everyone facing a bunch of charges, but to be garunteed that cps will be knocking at your door in Virginia as well...you might want to have (him) give me a call so this will end before it really truly begins.”
“I'm headed to the police station now. Done playing games. Couch Lusco is also willing to testify in my favor. As is two other teachers that (he) has made claims of abuse to.”
at this point i called my brother, and asked him to just text Selena to get her off my moms back.
this is their entire conversation:
J: I'm safe, mentally stable, not on drugs, and looking to further educate myself over the summer as well as apply for a job or two to pay my way.
S: Call me. Or I'm going to the cops with all the videos. Simple. You don't think I don't know your sister cant access your fb page
J: My sister has access to literally everything on that phone because of the cloud backup. She could wipe it all clean with the press of a button, not to mention a cop isn't gonna take me in for an mip of a cigarette or a blunt. It's not that deep.
(he is referring to the iphone Selena supposedly “backed up”)
Jaxon sent mom the screenshot of their convo, and she sent it to Selena. the following convo ensued:
S: Lmao that was (kyber) on (Jaxon’s) account! IM NOT GOING TO STOP UNTIL I KNOW THAT CHILD IS SAFE (Liz)!!
L: No it was not. I got those DIRECTLY from Jaxon. (mom didn’t reply to any texts after this)
S: I'm going to make everyone lives a giant fucking mess until (he) contacts me....PERIOD Pretty fucking simple. I'm going to take all the information (he) has given me that supports my reasons to be concerned and let the authorities do the rest.
S: Whats funny in all of this is that there is no reason (Jaxon) can't contact me. What am I going to do? Hurt (him) through a phone? Don't be dumb (Liz). Ypu are the only level headed person enough to see the bullshit games this kid will play as well as a good enough mom to understand why I am worried.
S: And (Jaxon) is right...they arnt going to take (him) for an MIP....but they ARE going to investigate the videos further I garuntee that! (He) is a minor and I promise you that they won't take any of it lightly!!!
S: You need to understand that (Jaxon) has already told me what (kyber) does. I know that wasn't (Jaxon) on Facebook because (he) wasn't caught with a fuckkng blunt.
S: What I don't understand is why you guys are acting like it's to much to ask to hear from (him)
S: If (father) does not have the ability or control to make his child behave then why is (he) in his care? Actually It don't matter I have been more then patient It's now a matter of (his) safety! Im going to the police!!!
S: I have never hurt that child or put (him) in a situation to be hurt. I'm perfectly content with (him) staying in walla...but I want to hear (him) say that so I know (he) is safe! If that makes me a bad person....I'm fine with that!!
S: (Liz)...l'm begging you! Please don't make me turn all of this in just because (Jaxon) has made up a bunch of bullshit to play the victim and make everyone look bad!
S: Understand something....I GAIN NOTHING FROM DOING THIS!! (He) either calls me or I spill all (his) secrets and not because I gain a damn thing.....but because I need to know (he) is safe and if (he) refuses to contact me then the only other person I will allow to validate (his) safety is going go be a police officer.
after this text she tried to call my mom more than 20 times in 10 minutes. all of which were declined, screencapped, and sent to me for the folder.
i’m just wondering what to do in this situation? she is threatening to call CPS, the cops, whatever she can do to try and intimidate me, mother, and father.
please help.

Special Awards
These awards go to some things that I just think deserved their own mention:
1. The Broadway Pulitzer Prize goes to a most moving piece of literature that I think everyone should read, and that should probably have a musical adaptation of itself someday. Thanks to u/plaiddentalfloss for making this suggestion, the award goes to this post by u/Friendly_Coconut.
2. The Taylor Swift-Level Discourse Award will be split into two parts: one for just this subreddit, and one for all of social media. It will go to a show that attracted the most insane discourse, where both the fans and the haters make me think “holy shit, you guys” on a regular basis.
For this subreddit, the award of course goes to Lempicka. And listen, I am not absolved here, I most certainly participated. And I probably will continue to. Some fans though were acting like the haters were paid actors, and vice versa
If I think about what I saw on social media in general, though, this award is going to The Great Gatsby. Between the Papermill run and the Broadway run, some of y’all were acting like this show killed your firstborn child. But at the same time, Jeremy Jordan stans.
3. The “Thank You So Much For Your Patience I Love You” Award goes to my iPad, for putting up with me creating the Google Forum, then the spreadsheets, then the infographics you’ll see later, even though there were some times where I thought it would explode.
4. The Lin-Manuel Miranda Award for a Composer Iconically Starring in Their own Show goes to Shaina Taub for writing and starring in Suffs!
5. The “Does Not Know What ‘Final Extension’ Means Award goes to Sleep No More, for being on what I believe is their sixth “final extension”.
6. The “Someone Else Suggested This Award and I Can’t Just Not Include It” Award goes to Justin Guarini for Once Upon A One More Time, of which someone in the form said “Who else could have been so comedic and convincing as an entitled, boy band Prince Charming?!”
7. The “Idk What to Call This Award But Thanks For Committing to the Bit” Award goes to the person in the form who just answered “Derek Klena” for every question.
⁂
Extra Fun Stuff
I just made some infographics related to the second section of the Google Form, which can be seen here! I am happy to answer any specific questions about the survey if anyone has any.
⁂
Future Categories
Some categories that I am considering for next year, and I’m happy to hear some more in the comments!
* Indicating suggestions from voters
⁂
I think that’s it. Thank you so much for everyone who turned out, and see you next year!

2024.06.09 21:21 Acrobatic-Curve7036 31 Year old man from the US.

Hello everyone, I chose to repost this after I blocked all the trouble makers who were sending my hate mail over my intro, If anyone posts/message me hateful comments over this intro you will be blocked, reported and you messages will be added to bottom of this post so people can know your true self. Now that that is out of the way here in intro, now with most of the typos fixed lol but otherwise the same!
I don't feel as Christian we should be focused outwardly and there is a lot of scriptures to back this up but it seems to be a requirement here, so I'm white, 6ft, dark blond, not fat, but not skinny.
I was home schooled and completed school a 3 years early, I spent those 3 years learning all sorts of things most people would not know, I taught myself how to plumb, to basic electrical work, fix cars, computers, appliances, and so many other handy things. I ended up becoming a car wash tech working on most of the systems at a local car wash and helped renovate homes on the side, after that car wash closed down I volunteered at a local charity and was quickly hired on full time, I been there for nearly 10 years now and love the job, most of my co workers are disabled in some way so a lot of friends I have happen to be disabled ether mentally or physically, I wanted to point that out as I know not everyone likes to be around those with mental disabilities and much of my circle is made up of people with all sorts of disabilities.
A lot of my hobbies revolve around me leaning new things or working with my hands. I love fixing things and tinkering, in the past I raced nitro powered RC cars, fixed cars, I often like to play around with vintage computers and electronics, cooking is anther past time of mine as well.
I grew up in a Christian house hold but my family was more legalistic, most my family did not have a personal relationship with the Lord and sadly many of them has fallen form faith. I on the other hand was the black sheep of the family and was saved as a rather young age and I currently go to a non denominational church online with a overseas autistic friend of mine. TBH I'm not picky when it comes to denominations so long as its a good bible believing church I'm happy with it. I feel a lot of Christians should not be hung up on how we worship as we are commanded to love the Lord with all our heart and to love one anther. That being said I don't go to church in person anymore as many in my area are not preaching the Gospel and peach hate more then anything.
First and foremost I'm looking for someone who is putting Christ first in their lives, I'm rather flexible passed that. I don't have a type when it comes to looks and feel that judging a date on the way they look is foolish. However there are a few things I wanted to bring up, I don't believe in divorce what so ever, to me its never a option nor will I do anything sexual outside of marriage, I also prefer to be around people who don't beat around the bush. I also never been able to date anther christian before, sadly in today day and age Christian man are not wanted in the dating market so my experience in dating and knowing what I want is next to zero so I'll be learning as I go so to say.
I'm not picky on age at all, older or younger is fine, to me age it just a number but given my personality I think younger would be far better. Someone 18-25 on a personality level would likely be more compatible with me however I tend to have interests that would label me a old soul and most of my closest friends are far older then me. I also grew up in a bit of a cultural bubble and form a pop cultural stand point you would think I'm from gen X. So I can see things working out just as well with someone older too.
Being a Christian man living in the USA I know that most women would not want anything to do with me and I'm fully open to dating outside the US so distance is not a problem, I'm not to keen on relocating but given the right person I would think about it. I'm a home owner and live in a very good, safe town and have a good job so I think it would be best if you moved to were I live.
EDIT:
I wanted to point out I come form a rather wealthy family and my family can be rather snobby and prime/proper about some things, wile I am nothing like them and live very humbly I wanted to point that out as it can be a shocker to find simple old me comes form such a family.
I have messaging disabled after all the hate mail I got the first time around positing this. if you are interested in talking reply here and I will reach out.

2024.06.09 21:14 Gr8gaur 'No need to take decision so quick after D-Day'... what about the disadvantages that comes with it ?

So I was thinking that many BSs get the same advice, specially on this forum... to not decide to divorce/separation just after D day happens. To take your time and not make hasty decisions, giving WS time to come out of fog etc. I too find myself in the same category to take time...
But what about when some WS uses that time to get their ducks in line, string along BS for the time being, indulge them in fake R, plan their replacement behind the curtains... and then dump BS in the hell created by WS ?
Like how does a BS even know that WS's regret/remorse, request for reconciliation is a genuine one and not a ploy to pile on more agony on BS... that they won't relapse after giving loads of assurances ??
How do BSs minimize this risk of not being taken for a ride after D-Day ?

2024.06.09 21:10 Bonjonsie The Jonsie Burrows: Help Wanted 2 Part 8.999

Previous part: 8.99.
The Jonsie Burrows: Help Wanted 2: Tables of contents

One thing that I'm not getting here is why Vanessa is even a part of Vanny or Glitchtrap's situation since Double-V is true. When I originally thought up Double-V, I was originally thinking that Vanessa and Vanny were two different people and/or were sharing the role of "Vanny".
It's just one of them was more willing than the other to be a part of Glitcthtrap's machinations than the other. I didn't put too much thought into it, but it was something I wanted to look for until that Security Team revelation came about.
But now, I'm left with this puzzle piece called Vanessa that I'm not quite sure what to do with now that I know that Vanny is an entirely separate person from her.
She has to be involved with Vanny and Gltichtrap somehow. Maybe the therapy tapes will help.
These are all things that would've pointed toward Glitchtrap if I didn't know better. So it's someone else doing this? Why and why her?
So Vanessa knows who's doing this to her or think she knows. But she's been refusing to listen to them before and is now being worn down by the spamming messages sent to her. But the fact that she doesn't react to the news that they are digging into her personal life is very concerning!
Also, after going through Vanny's secret dialogue in Help Wanted, Vanessa's overall demeanor in both Security Breach and the Retro Cds clashes hard with Vanny's in both games. Where Vanny sounds and reads eager and nervous, Vanessa is defiant and reluctant with depressed undertones.
Is Vanessa really infected with Glitchtrap?
Yet now that I'm thinking about it, Glitchtrap has no need to do this as him sitting through Vanessa's therapy session with her would give him this info if she was infected. Who's ever doing this doesn't much about her, but would very much like to. Is it Vanny or Gregory...
Wait, hold on. Vanessa's first therapist mentioned that messages were encrypted and couldn't make out what the conversation was about. But the second therapist can understand these messages to know that they're manipulative in nature. Are these two different messengers?!
" I’ve read them, but it’s not clear what you’re talking about in these conversations. I can’t make sense of it. You must be getting something from these that I’m not getting." - The first Therapist
"but what bothers me about what I read is that the messages you're getting seem very manipulative in nature." - The second Therapist
What changed? Hmm... What exactly is an encrypted conversation? Maybe explaining that will help.
Encrypted text messaging is a method of secure communication that converts your messages into code. This means that only the recipient with the correct decryption key can read it. - Google
That sounds like what the first Therapist is referring to, but she mentions that they got the transcripts for it. Does that mean that got the code or the decryption key to read it? No, she says transcripts, which means the code itself.
But whatever the first Therapist saw in that transcript was legible enough to read and comprehend. This means the conversation wasn't in computer coding that would require someone in the tech field to decipher it, but just ordinary talk that's hard to understand what it's about.
Okay, that clears things up, they're still the same messenger.
This one conversation right here throws everything about Double-V out of whack. Why is Vanessa buying fake fur material? And for the very first time, we know the gender of who's messaging her along that he said that he would always be watching her.
Again the "he" here, and the "he will always be watching" part allude to Glitchtrap at first glance. And again, it can't be him because he should be within Vanessa since they merged in Help Wanted! Even if you dismissed the ending I proposed for Vanny and went with the ending where she gets locked up by Glitchtrap, it still wouldn't be him messaging her about watching here because he would be in her body!
And like I already said before, Vanessa has shown no memory problems or bodily control problems, which would've suggested Glitchtrap's control. No, this means that Gregory is doing all of this.
But why is he going after Vanessa? Geez, It's been a while since I even thought about his past before Security Breach. I forgot how much of a black hole of questions he is, regarding the lore. I'll give my updated thoughts about him after the Double-V revelation later.
For now, after going through all of Gregory's dialogue in Security Breach. It looks like he's not quite aware of the ongoings within the Pizzaplex and is shocked by the level of security can employ later in the night. There may actually be a hint of his hacker background in his dialogue if you squint. And Gregory has absolutely no idea what the rabbit laddy's name is until he gets to Fazerblast.
As for Gregory's involvement with Vanessa... Huh, that's weird. Gregory doesn't say Vanessa's name even once in Security Breach. Matter of fact, after the beginning sequence where Vanessa confronts Freddy about him, Gregory just stops talking about or even mentioning her for the rest of the game. This includes the confrontation that leads to her locking him up in Lost and Found and after it...
No matter how you slice it, Gregory's silence about her is super loud with alarm bells. Sure, he dismisses her as working with Vanny in the beginning, but it shouldn't mean that she should be an afterthought to him! Like, Gregory only talks about or mentions "the rabbit lady" after the beginning of the game.
In fact, if we were to rank every important character that Gregory talks about or mentions in his dialogue for Security Breach from most to least, it would look like this.
  1. Freddy - 33 times
  2. Vanny - 6 times
  3. Chica - 6 times
  4. Roxy - 4 times
  5. Monty - 3 times
  6. Moon - 3 times
  7. Vanessa - 3 times
  8. Burntrap - 1 time
That's absurd! Especially since she's the only other human worker in the Pizzaplex, besides Vanny, who encounters and confronts him. Like, he doesn't even try to communicate with her at all during the entire game!
Even when discovering Vanny's hideout in Fazerblast and Freddy suggests that Vanny is Vanessa due to deduceing Vanny's name being a combination of Vanessa + Bunny, Gregory remains silent about it! No, "Oh maybe you're right." or "That sounds too simple to be right", but instead there's no response to what might be the identity of your pursuer!
It's like he doesn't want to talk about her...
He knows her, he has to know Vanessa! Yet, he said, "I don't know who she is, but she's trying to get me!" to Freddy. Is he lying? No, he just knows about her.

This is either hinting towards Gregory talking directly to Vanessa or Glitchtrap. But something that confuses me is why the therapist has or even be able to see Gregory's encrypted conversation logs?
I'll admit that I'm ignorant about therapy, but should your therapist have access to stuff you created outside of therapy? Unless Gregory created the program on a computer in therapy. It could explain how he's gotten access to Vanessa's files. But I'll drop that talk for now.
Something that's being made clear to me now is that Vanessa is not as connected to the villains as Gregory is, as she's more surprised by the changing of therapist than he is. In fact, Gregory knows why the therapists are disappearing, knows exactly when the therapists do something that would cause them to disappear, and doesn't seem upset when they show up mangled and dead.
But more than anything, Gregory knew Vanny long before Security Breach started. There's no reason why Gregory would know Vanny has enough control over the Pizzaplex to cut off Freddy from the network, in just one encounter. If anything, he should have assumed she was some weirdo stranger in the Pizzaplex that the security and the police needed to take care of.
But he already knew that Vanny had power in the Pizzaplex, maybe not the full scope, but enough to know that if she and he ever came into conflict with one another that ended with her wanting to hurt him then he needed to get out of the Pizzaplex.
Funnily enough, this actually lines up with the first-ever trailer for Security Breach, where Vanny says: "Gregory, I may have lost my temper earlier. But it was just a glitch!" Which implies they were talking neutrally before whatever made Vanny lose her temper. Again, I'm not using this as evidence as it's been cut, instead, I'm suggesting that the idea might have merit.

I had always flipped-flopped between the mysterious person being either Glamrock Bonnie or Vanny. Both are connected to Glitchtrap, so either would fit here as Glitchtrap wouldn't be captured by a camera. But with the new evidence I've discovered, Vanny fits as Gregory's mysterious rabbit correspondent in the Pizzaplex.
But what about Vanessa? Is Gregory hacking into her files or is it Vanny and Glitchtrap? Or perhaps Gregory is hacking into her files on behalf of Glitchtrap and Vanny. Either way, Vanessa is getting dragged into Gregory and the Villian's group chat.
Speaking of the therapy, if we take into account the Retro-CD's numbering system the first two numbers are the patient ID number, and the last two numbers are the number of times both Gregory and Vanessa have been to therapy, then we can uncover some invaluable information.
Gregory has been in therapy longer than Vanessa and he was also in therapy before her too. But combining this CD's numbering system with a theory from the Talesbook story, GGY, that Gregory only goes to therapy on Sunday. Then Gregory has been going to therapy for a year and a half.
And if Vanessa is following the weekly therapy session pattern, then she's only been going to it for a little more than half a year. This means she started her therapy just about after Gregory hit his half-year mark for therapy. In addition to all that, Vanessa stopped going to therapy once she was transferred to a new location and never met the fourth and final therapist of the CDs.
Just something you all should keep in mind.
But Gregory definitely knows about her at the very least. That knowledge, I guess, is the reason why he's so shocked to see her face under Vanny's mask in the "To The Rooftop" ending. He knows that Vanessa and Vanny are two different people, but doesn't know that they look alike because he never encountered Vanny before Security Breach without her mask or costume.
On the subject of costumes, I still got no answer for Vanessa's purchase of fake animal fur or what's even happening with her now.
To be honest, this would be so simple and easy if Vanessa was just Vanny. But like as I have shown many times before in both this series and the previous one, simple and easy answers are not always the correct ones.
So, instead of looking for signs of the villain's goal with Vanessa in the lore. Let's look at the similarities and differences between the double Vs.
Vanessa's characteristics are.
Vanny's characteristics are.
Wow, I did not realize we already knew this much about Vanny just from the environment storytelling of the games until I listed them!
Anyway, as you can see, there are some very similar likes between the two and very stark differences in traits as well. I'm not about to list them to save word space, but instead, I want to answer a question. Could Vanessa still be Vanny despite their differences? This isn't so much for me, but for the people who believe Vanny = Vanessa despite my Double-V evidence.
At first, I thought there might've been a chance for that as they both like flowers, to read, and enjoy the outside, or at least the summer in Vanny's case. But now, after listing everything out they're just too different to say they're the same.
Even if we say that Vanny's love of pizza, general bad diet, and trashy room is the result of Vanessa coping with her depression and her situation with Glitchtrap and that her graffiti is the by-product of therapy, along with her interest in growing flowers. That doesn't negate the fact that in Ruin when given the chance to express her anxiety, Vanny doesn't take it.
If you don't know, on the wall where Vanny drew her face next to a slice of pizza in the main lobby near the Superstar Daycare entrance, there is a painted graph. The artist who made the graph also wrote on the right side of it; "TAG YOURSELF".
On all four sides of the graph, the artist made the furthest sides of them represent something. The top Y-axis is Wizard, the bottom Y-axis is Cedar, the left X-axis is Filled with a word that ends in a y, and the right X-axis is Filled with anxiety.
What this graph is showing, or what the artist trying to convey with it, is that each of the four points represents not quite the opposite thing but the furthest thing from each other. Of which, Vanny decided to tag herself on the [furthest left X-axis](https://imgur.com/j9ND1V3), not the right.
This tells us that Vanny feels the furthest thing from anxiety. Something Vanessa, no matter if she's under Glitchtrap's control or not, would be constantly feeling as she suffers from it.
As for what she's feeling, I don't know, the word on the left graph is unreadable and covered by Vanny's face to make it almost impossible to decipher. But what I do know without a doubt, is that Vanny and Vanessa are indeed, two different people with some common likes and polar opposite traits.
So after everything I've talked about in the last three? four? However many parts I've been going over Double-V, what is the best possible answer for the "To The Rooftop" ending stinger. Why do Vanny and Vanessa look alike?
I tried, I really did. I looked for as much possible evidence for anything that doesn't just make me give up and say "She's a Fazgoo clone!" or "She's a robot!"
If Vanny was a stranger who mimicked Vanessa's face, then that's cool and horrifying, but only where it concerns Vanessa herself. (The horrifying part, not the cool part.) It doesn't give us reasons why she would do it in the first place or a way to connect it to the greater lore and Glitchtrap, besides she's a human Mimic. Basically, it lacks motivation from everyone in the Villian party.
So it leaves me with no other conclusion except for one.
Back when the marketing for Security Breach was building up to its release. Steel Wool released four old Freddy cartoon episodes on their YouTube channel. Each episode hides a teaser image for the lore, including a character from the games with words, along with a character stinger at the end.
The last carton, which is the most distorted one, just so happened to include Vanessa as the hidden teaser, and Vanny as the character stinger at the end. And before you all jump the gun, previous episodes have already established that the hidden character teasers have no correlation to the ending Character stinger.
Now, the words in the Vanessa teaser image are quite interesting. It includes "Test and Rat" in the upper right corner, "Pool" in the bottom left corner, and "Bleak Reactant".
Test and Rat could be Test rat or Laboratory rat (Lab rat) as in the species of rat that are bred and kept for scientific research. Lab rat here can also be referring to Vanessa being a lab rat for the villain's experiment for something.
Using that explanation, "Pool" would then mean group or pool of people, which means number of people available for an organization or group to use. So Pool would mean that Vanessa was chosen out of all the Fazbear employees or people in general to be used for the experiment.
This leaves us with Bleak Reactant, which the definition of reactant is a substance that takes part in and experiences change during a reaction, while the definition of bleak could mean lacking vegetation (an area of land), dreary (a room), miserable(the weather), or unfavorable (outcome.)
All of this together means that Vanessa was chosen by the villains out of a group of people to be used for an experiment. An experiment of a change in Vanessa that predicted an unfavorable outcome for the villains.
Vanessa was going to be the next Vanny or maybe something else.
That gives a reason why the villains were so interested in her, why she would be shopping for a costume, why she would be at the Pizzaplex, and why she would be still connected to the villains when someone else is Vanny.
But the reason she was chosen in the first place, why her out of a group of people that might've included Gregory in it too, is because the one who chose her was her own twin sister.
If anyone remembers my only Ruin theory then you would remember my mentioning of Glitchtrap's and Vanny's conversation from Scott's website from a Security Breach poster.
Glitchtrap: "Stay the course."
Vanny: "I will."
Glitchtrap: "Focus on my voice."
Vanny: "I will."
Glitchtrap: "Don't let anyone lead you astray."
Vanny: “I won't.”
Glitchtrap: "Have you selected one?"
Vanny: "I have."
In my theory, I proposed that Gregory was the one that Vanny mentioned selecting here. But now, with all the revelations and new information gained, I believe Vanessa works better here. Vanny would've chosen someone for an experiment that she personally knew of or gotten to know, and who better than her own sibling that she grew up with.
Remember, Vanny is just starting out in her following of Glitchtrap. So would be new to the whole evil thing. And most of the time, the people close to you are the ones that would most likely commit a crime against you.
As for the twin sister thing, it actually didn't come from the "To The Rooftop" ending, but a discussion from the GTlive stream where Mat hosted a little get-together with some of the FNAF YouTuber theorists after Security Breach. There, John Fuhnaff suggested the idea for it from the VR Sisters boss from the Security Breach game Scott made when Security Breach got delayed again.
It's something that I saw some merit in after I discovered the Vanny ≠ Vanessa and after disproving in my head that Vanny wasn't Tape Girl either. The best part of the twin sister thing is that there's no need to throw out all that we know from Vanessa's therapy sessions as they both share the divorced parent's backstory.
As for which is the order twin between the two, I believe Vanessa is the oldest since it makes sense that her father would use the oldest to testify against their mother as she would better understand his instructions. Plus it provides a potential grudge from Vanny to Vanessa for what happened to their mother and a misguided parental affection for Glitchtrap. Unless Vanny's just a fangirl of William Afton, which could be the case.
Also, this means that the reason Vanessa looks the way she does in "To The Rooftop" end credits is because she looking at her dead sister. Oof, I realized that this also means she would've been the one who finds what's left of her in the "Disassemble Vanny" ending too. No wonder Faz Ent. is temporarily closed if they find that one employee is disassembled and the other one is having a mental breakdown from it in the morning.
But what about the "Redemption" ending? We know that by beating PQ3 both Glitchtrap and Vanny are defeated in it. What happens to her then? Where did she go? Hmm... I'm not sure.
What happens when someone is unmerged after being merged for a long time? Unlike Vanessa, we know that Vanny lives in the Pizzaplex. Even by Ruin and Help Wanted 2, she's still living in the building despite its condition so she probably needs time to think and process what happened to her and what's she done. Oh, and therapy. And a house.
But I think that just about wraps everything up for— Wait, HW2's Candy Cadet story! I forgot all about it! I know some people mentioned that the second story had to do with Vanessa, Gregory, and Gltichtrap. Let me skim through that real quick for clues.
Oh. Oh, that's really interesting... But it along with the Jeremy and the Memory dolls can wait until after next time. Sorry for the little to no pictures, I needed space to fit everything in one post and wanted to get everything about Double-V out of the way before I go on hiatus.
Don't worry it has nothing to do with burnout. It won't be too long either, though knowing my track record when saying that, you probably don't believe me.
Truth is, I've been severely neglecting my YouTube channel, and should really start catching up the YouTube version of my series with the online version. Plus, I've got more "Prove it!" to work on.
But most important of all, my birthday is coming up, and I don't want to work, think, or have anything to do with my FNAF stuff on that day. So! Feel free to read and become full with these last few Parts until I come back with more.

2024.06.09 21:00 4ngeltracks (tw) ocd and self harm

recently been realizing that a LOT of my self harm is due to my ocd. its not the entire reason for it but some of my thought processes surrounding it make me stop and go Huh wait a second thats familiar....
i used disordered eating as a form of self harm for many yrs and now its transformed into a full blown eating disorder but when it was abt hurting myself (vs the weight aspect), the thing i chased was the feeling of sickness and weakness and shakiness after not eating. my thoughts were basically, something that I!! am doing is having a Real effect on my body and this sickness is evidence that theres something wrong w me. and the same thing w the weight, i didnt wanna lose weight bc of body image (body image is still not my issue regarding my ed), it was more like i wanted physical proof that what i was doing was real and had tangible effects on me. so a lot of it was for that feeling of control, feeling like my body is mine and i control it etc, but also thinking back on it i feel like it could have been a compulsion to deal w my obsession over my mental illness and if i was faking it or not. i also had lots of thoughts about it feeling Right, and this has no real thought behind it its mostly just like, yes, this is exactly what i should be doing and how i should b doing it this is exactly what im meant to be doing this is RIGHT. and i feel that way with other forms of self harm, especially cutting.
regarding my cutting i did it for lots of reasons but a BIG one was because i would look at my arms and old scars and feel like something wasnt quite right, i had to "fix" it and i did that by relapsing. sometimes when i did it i would feel so much fear and reluctance to actually do it even while my brain was begging me to, not always but a good amount of times i found myself hesitating with the tool in my head and just thinking no i cant do it but its like an outside force was telling me i HAD to, that it would be right. i also had a lot of thoughts like if i didnt do it, id end up doing something worse, such as killing myself. i thought it was something i had to do in order to prevent me from getting worse. i do have a lot of obsessions abt me killing myself even if i dont want 2, so thats the first thing i noticed that made me think it could be a result of my ocd.
anyway does anyone else have these sorts of thoughts regarding sh? id like to hear ur experiences with it

2024.06.09 20:55 Unusual-Ad-431 Girlfriend 19F is promising to do better but I 20M don't believe it. What do I do?

TLDR: First and only long term girlfriend since 15 is promising to do better but I don't know if I should trust it. Her birthday is soon and I feel wrong for wanting to break up.
For context I just turned 20 and my girlfriend will be 20 soon. We met when we were both 14. We then started dating long distance a year after we met. She was super fun and sweet and caring. We had tons of fun staying up late and playing games together. The problems started to arise when i had to dedicate more time away from her. I was in high school and college at the same time. I also lived on a farm so most of my days were eaten up doing other things. That being said I still made plenty of time with her. We slept on call every night and at night we’d play games at the expense of my sleep. I’d also always have to have a good morning text waiting for her otherwise she’d get very angry with me and hold it over my head. Most nights I’d only sleep for about 4 hours. This was extremely draining to me. So some nights I’d try to go to sleep and we didn’t get to talk much. Though I’d still text her throughout the day or even be in a call with her while I was doing other things. She has horrible anger issues and insecurities. For example if we were to watching YouTube together and a girl she might thought was attractive came on screen she’d ask me if I thought she was hot. Obviously answering no. It wasn’t a couple times it was every time. For context I’m someone who doesn’t find attraction in a woman unless I’ve known her well enough to start dating and she knows that. So I couldn’t take it anymore and then I asked for a break. After 4 days she gave me an ultimatum that I need to choose to decide if I want to stay with her or leave. So I chose to leave as I felt disrespected for being put in that position so soon after not getting even an apology for her actions. I was always made to feel like I did something wrong. Even still she has really good moments and she was my first girlfriend and for some reason I just can’t seem to love someone like I’ve loved her. 2 years after we broke up we started talking again. She seemed to have fixed all of her problems and she said she never got over me and that I’m all she ever thought about and all she’s ever wanted. She was right for about 3 months and ever since then she’s done the same things. I know I’m leaving a lot out of the things she’s done so I’ll give some more examples. When I was 19 my parents divorced which was very hard on me as I am not financially able to live alone and had to choose. I am like best friends with both my parents but my dad is and has been my biggest inspiration and teacher but I’m my mothers only son and I know my sister would go with my father and I didn’t want my mom being alone. So I went with her. I was so deeply emotionally destroyed as I felt I was betraying my father and abandoning him and all he’s done for me. During this time I became emotionally unavailable for her and that was a problem as I couldn’t any longer help her with her emotions and insecurities as I was working on my own feelings and emotions. Even though I still tried to do what I could but I couldn’t sit up for hours with her talking her through emotions. She was feeling really insecure one night and it was around 2am. (I had work the next morning at 6:30) I told her that I didn’t have the battery for that. I wasn't rude or mean to her in any way, but she blew up on me saying I don't love her or care about her and I'm never there for her. I apologized and tried to explain myself and my current situation and that it's not that I dont love her but it's for the previously explained. That wasn't good enough and I was told that I needed to try more as she deserves it. She kept yelling at me until I calmed her down. (Now 4 am) As she was no longer yelling at me I then fell asleep. I woke up to a multi-paragraph apology from her. This isn't the only time this has happened. Also at this point I regularly fly out to her and fly her to me. I also pay for everything and we have an amazing sex life. It's literally perfect for her and I. I know this is wrong but it's honestly one of the main reasons I'm still with her. We both have a very high sex drive and she's my first and I'm her first. That connection means a lot to me. I've met her family and am extremely involved with them too. Her family loves me and wants me to marry her. We've talked a lot about moving in together and marriage, but I've always said this is for way later down the line. So now the main reason I'm about to break up with her. I've started to realize all the terrible things she's been doing to me that I've looked past as she promised she'd do better. The most recent one really pissed me off which is hard to do. I am currently visiting my father in another state and while I have been here with him I have been busy with my father spending time with him as it's soon to be my birthday. 19 at the time. I am still calling her and talking to her everday and sleeping on call with her. One day my dog tore a muscle in her leg and I was trying to tend to her as she was in a lot of pain and crying. My gf texted me as this was happening and I mentioned what was going on. My gf is dog sitting and they have horses and she sent me a photo of one and texted that the horse let her pet it. I responded to that and said, "Well definitely don't do that again unless you know it." I grew up on a farm and had horses since I was kid and anyone that did would know why you never just randomly pet someones horse without the owner there or even knowing. She then got extremely pissed at me saying I always treat her like she's stupid. She said she isn't stupid and wouldn't pet an aggressive animal. I always act like a I know shit and am treating her like she doesn't know shit. She kept getting pissed at me. I tried to diffuse the situation by saying I'm glad it didnt do anything and that it was sweet. She kept going off on me until I didn't want to listen anymore as I was already stressed as my dog was still crying. So I let her know I didn't feel like continuing this conversation and turned off my phone. She spammed my phone and spam called me over 20 times until I picked up where she continued to call me an asshole and say I belittle her and make her feel stupid. I only said that to her because I was concerned for her safety I meant it purely out of love. I told her this as well and she said I was lying trying to emotionally manipulate her. She didn't stop so I ended the call to continue to care for my dog which she was aware of. I turned my phone off so I didn't get the notifications anymore. I gave my dog some pain meds which she then fell asleep. I called her when this happened which was about an hour or so later. I told her what she did was extremely wrong and that I don't know if I can continue this relationship if she keeps behaving this way. She then begged me to stay and that she'll do better and I want to believe her but I don't think I should. I don't know how I feel anymore. She has been doing better but it feels fake and forced and is also not the first time I've heard this. Usually good for a few weeks then back to normal. I have no experience dating as I've been with her only. I'm scared of being stuck and it never getting better. I love her so much and don't know how to feel. I also don't feel right breaking up with her now as her birthday is in a few weeks. What do I do? Any advice is appreciated.

2024.06.09 20:51 Weird_Ad_901 For girls: do you try to reach out after being dumped? For boys:have you ever dumped your toxic girlfriend and did she ever try to reach out?

So it’s been one year since I dumped my toxic gf that used to always complain that I wasn’t able to afford her expensive gifts and couldn’t pay for her clothes and other things. Btw I’m a student(M20) and when we used to be in the relationship, I was 19 and was finishing high school. Basically what happened was that she used to live 4h away from my city and I would always go visit her once in 3 weeks. At first, she was living alone and I would always buy her gifts like flowers, chocolates or some cute little things, besides of course the train ticket in order to go to her city. I was able to afford all of this because I had savings and always was trying to work during vacations. Then she moved to another city, at 4h away from me too, but started to live with her sister. They used to have a 2 room apartment. Her sister told her that I can’t sleep in their apartment, even though I would’ve just slept with my ex in her room and wouldn’t even speak to her older sister. I felt pretty disrespected at that time and told my ex to try and speak to her sister but she told me that she doesn’t want to argue with her and that a REAL MAN WILL ALWAYS FIND A SOLUTION(even though I told her that I was struggling with money)For 9 months I would pay for hotel room, train ticket, little presents, and food. I would try my best in order to keep up with school and the relationship because I loved her a LOT. SHE WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL EVER AND I THOUGHT SHE WAS PERFECT. One day I found out that she lied to me for about one year about being virgin. When she was drunk, I asked her about her ex that she dated before me(at the beginning she told me she didn’t have anything with him) and now she tells that that tried something so he fucked her but didn’t push his full dick inside her but only 6-7cm. I told her that isn’t considered being virgin, she started arguing . For about one month I would feel like shit because of this. Then, during that summer I went in a trip with my family and with my friend’s family in Spain, she wanted to break up with me because I wouldn’t take her with me. I told her that we were only dating for 6 months and I wouldn’t think that it was normal to take her with my family and my friend. She said that she wants to breakup. I cried a lot in Spain and begged her not to leave me . When I came home, I went to her city and we got. I remembered about her lying about her being virgin and got angry because she wouldn’t accept that she was lying. So I took her by her hand and told her that after this relationship with me, she’ll tell to the next one that she s virgin. She got very angry and wanted to break up with me. For one month I begged her everyday not to leave me and she used to always say that ll think about us. One time she told me that she goes to a bar with her uni class(btw I knew that there was a guy there that likes her). At 1am she texts me that actually she is in a club and not a bar. I got crazy that night but didn’t tell her anything. 3 weeks later she gets mono (aka the kissing disease) and tells me that she didn’t kiss anyone. 6 months later she tells me that a guy tried to kiss her in the club . Also one time I couldn’t afford her flowers and came to her city without anything for the first time ever. She told me to send the money for the flowers on her bank account and that she doesn’t want to be in a relationship where she isn’t appreciated with gifts.(I explained her one more time that I didn’t have money)she seemed to understand and then start again arguing . Then during summer, we wanted to go to Italy and asked if she can pay for 40 %of the total price. She got upset, told me that she doesn’t feel like a girl in that relationship. Told that she regrets being with me and blocked me. I thought that she left me, started crying and was devastated . The next day she texts me hi, I tell her hi and tell her that I didn’t understand what happened yesterday and asked if we can still be friends. She tells that she understood perfectly everything and yes. She calls me and starts talking like nothing happened. I ask her who will start the breakup. She tells me that I’m crazy; says that I’m a psycho and I want to breakup with her and that I used her body and that she should’ve broken up with me when I got upset because of her virginity and that she hates me. Also she said that I didn’t want to call her the day before when she blocked me because I should ve tried calling her on WhatsApp (she didn’t block me there) and that I didn’t want to fight for her. And that’s all. We went a year no contact, she tried to reach out once during a terrorist attack in my city and asked if I was alright. Then, she didn’t text me even a happy birthday message.
A year later I reached out in order to obtain closure because I couldn’t get over her and wanted to ask her if she cheated on my in the club and also asked why she was on tinder during our relationship because I didn’t ask her this when we broke up . She got upset and told me that now , thanks to this message she will never regret what happened between us. Also she denied cheating and said that she was on tinder only for communication . Now I feel dumb af and blocked her. Also I ve seen recently form a fake account that she posted a story from the club . She feels so good and I can’t get over her.
Will she ever try to reach out to me? She never apologized for anything Also, who is the dumper, me or her? PLEASE HELP ME, I’m losing my mind!
