Left photo is the Feh unit builder traduction of the build, right photo is the actual build in game, (it's on Mexican Spanish, that is why i have the left photo here).
Somehow got a free godlike reflexes fooder today, (Normal Felix), and after much debating, i decided it was time to fulfill the promise of giving this boy godlike reflexes.
Here is the build in question.
Merges: 2
Dracoflowers: 2...
Iv's: neutral.
Emblem Fusion: Marth.
Weapon: Arcane devourer, aka the best inheritable sword right now, between the damage reduction, cooldown acceleration and the included Null Follow up.
Assist skill: Draw back, will change this later.
Special: Godlike reflexes, one of the two specials That carry the infantery unit type, unpierceable 40% damage reduction, and next attack of unit gets buffed, a special worthy of having the word god on it indeed, for it is a blessing.
A skill: Atk/spd Finish 4: You know it, you love it, the measuring stick of A Skills, the standard of A skills for infantery units, Atk/Spd +7, +5 to total damage once special triggers, and a little of healing to boot.
B skill: Spurn 4: More damage reduction, but piercable, gotta replace this indeed, well, at least another +5 to total damage i guess.
C skill: Spd smoke 4, another piercable damage reduction and reducing of speed..., hopefully one of this day i get a worthy replacement, specially if it is a good support skill.

First time watcher here. I absolutely love one piece. Never had a problem with the pacing but I swear to god. I’m like 20 episodes into Wano. And the pacing is god awful. Everything feels so drawn out and just so incredibly long it completely breaks the fun and immersion. My question is. Is the entirety of Wano arc like this? Or is it just a few episodes in the beginning before it picks up the pace again?

In the current state of the game turning off mouse acceleration is not natively supported or accessible via the settings menu. Adjusting the sensitivity could help some of you but still doesn't get rid of the negative mouse acceleration.
To disable the mouse acceleration and improve your performance to make the game finally playable, do this:
  1. Open the configuration file at `%LOCALAPPDATA%\Industria\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Input.ini`
  2. Just below the first line that says `[/script/engine.inputsettings]`, add the line `bEnableMouseSmoothing=False` and save the file
Your file should now look something like this:
[Script/Engine.InputSettings] bEnableMouseSmoothing=False ActionMappings=(ActionName="Action",bShift=False,bCtrl=False,bAlt=False,bCmd=False,Key=E) ... 
  1. Now in-game you should enable Fullscreen mode to make your mouse behave as it should.

2024.06.09 18:19 Parzival127 Just bought Pikmin 1+2 after playing 3D and 100% 4

And this game is both easier and harder than I was expecting.
Easier: I think this is because I already have experience with the franchise but I am on track to get all 30 parts by Day 26 or 27. I don’t think I will for reasons stated below, but I definitely think I’ll be able to get all 30 parts. I wish I would have been able to play this game when it first came out or at least before playing the other two I’ve played because I’m sure it would have been more tense.
Harder: Y’all, these Pikmin are STUPID. I knew the ai wouldn’t be as good as in 3D and 4, but this was completely unexpected. I know this is a meme as this point but seeing these Pikmin fail to cross a bridge safely is too funny after the amount of times I’ve seen it happen. And I can’t lead my army across a map and expect to have them all reach the destination in the same numbers. They also randomly decide to join tasks where they’re not needed even if I want them to stay with me. I also never realized how much I rely on the arc indicator and bigger whistle for throwing and saving my dying Pikmin.

I love the album as it is. It may even be my favorite of C&C's discography, but I hate to play favorites that hard with the music I love. But if I woke up tomorrow and there was a surprise drop of a Year of the Black Rainbow remake a la the re-recording of Deranged, including fleshed out/finished versions of songs like The Lost Shepherd, Chamberlain, and Hush, I would be able to die a happy man.
Conceptually (story-wise might be the right term?) it's my favorite album. Very heavy on the science fiction, war, madness, and the terrible things people can be driven to do. As the 'beginning' of the disasters and sins that shaped the KBI and the beginning of the end for Heaven's Fence due to God's disapproval of Wilhelm's screwing with the natural order, it may even be the most important album for those who follow the story.

Let me tell you a story, which may or may not be true…
There always have been, and still are, many gods; perhaps too many to count. One in particular, who I’ll call the Trickster, isn’t that all that powerful, certainly not as much as he would like people to think. Perhaps the strongest power he has is the ability to occasionally nudge persons minds. He is too weak, too limited, to affect more than a few at a time. He mostly depends on people do the work for him.
However, for what lacked in power he more than made up for in ambition. For him, being the object of worship is intoxicating. Drunk on praise, he wanted more and more.
His main strategy was to convince people not only to worship just him, but other gods didn’t even exist at all.
Most gods aren’t so addicted to worship. One in particular, whom I’ll call the Adversary, wasn’t fond of the Tricksters approach. The Adversary didn’t demand worship, nor even belief. To this day, he requires neither. Meanwhile, the Trickster convinced a fair amount of people that he was the only god, and claimed responsibility for the creation of all things.
As time went on, the Trickster gained a larger following. He still was jealous of the worship other gods were receiving. He developed an idea, stolen from a competitor god. Not only would he insist he was the only god, but also elaborated his story. He, by influencing certain persons, convinced even more people that not only was he the only god, but worshipping him will result in a blissful life after death. Meanwhile, also via people , convinced many that failure to worship him results in eternal suffering. This carrot and the stick approach worked remarkably well, he gained a lot more followers than ever before. However, instead of being satisfied, he grew even more intoxicated, demanding more worship.
Around this time, the Adversary had enough. The Adversary was critical of the Trickster, saying that he isn’t worthy of worship if he had to resort to threats.
The Trickster was furious. He claimed that his Adversary was a being that he created, and was banished to a horrible place of suffering, and any who dare question the Trickster belong there.
While it’s quite true that the Trickster, being a God after all, has authority over his own domain, he has no such power or influence outside his domain, only able to whisper in the minds of a few. The Adversary has his own domain, quite different, that he created:the Trickster has convinced many that his domain is horrible. Many believed that.
As time passed, the Trickster wanted more worship. He, via influence of people, made even more elaborate promises of heaven, meanwhile even more threats of hell. He continued to wage a war of words against the Adversary. The Adversary was patient, having truth and reason on his side.
The Adversary offered a welcome place for those who reject the Trickster; his domain not of suffering but of peace. He has watched over the millennium with sadness the ultimate fates of those who follow the Trickster, imprisoned in his domain, forced to worship. It was less a paradise, more of a prison. None are happy there.
As time progressed, the Trickster craved more worship. He offered even greater promises, threatening even worse punishments. His tactic shifted , using people to force others to worship him. This too worked, as his worship spread across oceans and continents. Despite being worshipped by billions, it wasn’t enough. However, by this time, there was no room left on the earth for his worship to spread.
All the while, another entity -initially unnoticed by the Trickster, grew and grew. It, whom I’ll call Science, didn’t care for worship, didn’t even claim to be a God. All science cared for is Truth. The Adversary approved. Science began to offer far better explanations of things, which infuriated the Trickster. While none worshiped Science, many fell in love, and many abandoned the Trickster, instead pursuing truth.
By now, the Trickster has trapped himself. He, long ago, took advantage of the Human technology of writing, which embedded his stories as fixed. However, he is unable to edit or update his scriptures, lest he be seen for what he is: a Trickster and a fool.
The best he can do now is continue to lure, threaten, and belittle his opponents, namely the Adversary and Science.
The Trickster intoxicated by thousands of years of worship, fears losing followers, eventually fading into myth.

Be careful currency hoarders
Well everyone here I am again 3 months later, having the same problem again that I posted about in February. If you didn’t see that post I’ll do a little recap, basically I opened up my app and almost all my currencies disappeared. I contacted support they said it was a saving thing, I told them no and got told I was a cheater. Basically they cleared it up, apologized and gave me my currency back and the items I was to supposed to win on the leaderboards so I continued playing. On the 25th I woke up and the game restarted, had to complete the tutorial, all my currency missing again, banners, shade, T&B backgrounds all gone. Even the banner from Monet’s which I won in May, I messaged them and told them what happened and to avoid being called a cheater I included my ticket numbers as proof. Well I never got a response, I just got the email saying I was a cheater. But then I received another email from their system saying a representative would contact me from another email I previously also sent (which had more details) finally I received a message on the 30th saying I violated the terms and that because it was my first offense they were going to flag my account and put me back to the leaderboards. I messaged them again and I’m still waiting for a response a week later. Luckily I am out of group 0 but at this point I feel like it doesn’t matter since there’s now going to be a flag on my account when I did nothing wrong and that their excuse is that I’m a cheater since they don’t want to admit to this glitch. I was in 6th place for Monets month then got pushed to 66th place, 3rd place for Cheryl’s weekly and missed out on that one also since I was kicked to group 0. It’s been two weeks since this happened, and a week since they last messaged me. I waited to post this since some people were speculating because I spoke out the previous time that they labeled me as a cheater. Regardless of what happens people need to know that this game will blame you if they have the chance just so they don’t have to take responsibility.
TLDR: The game glitched out recently and I lost a bunch of my items AGAIN, had to redo the tutorial all over again and instead of getting those items back from support and them admitting it was a glitch, I’m being called a cheater.

In an underwhelming Dragon Boat Festival weekend so far with Monday still to go Be My Friend sits at the top after 3 days and is likely to remain there after tomorrow. Walk The Line comes in 2nd but for now leads the total gross because of stronger pre-screenings.

In “Hellfront: Honeymoon,” players will have to fight insectoids in dark space locations on enemy planets, often destroying the bases of hostile soldiers of other factions who are also seeking to seize new territories. The player team's objectives include capturing and holding control points, as well as facing down waves of enemies that can sometimes be literally endless. The game features different modes including single player, co-op and multiplayer battles against each other.
One of the key elements of the game is the ability to instantly revive after death and continue the battle if your buildings are on the map. This adds dynamism and tension to the gameplay, since your buildings can be destroyed by the sudden appearance of insectoids or due to the lack of heavy projectiles to attack.

The start of the war went smoothly for us, we destroyed a few human planets, conquered a few systems. But then we started loosing contact with fleets and colonies, when the first colony lost communications, we sent a scouting fleet there, but when it arrived, in place where there once was a planet, now there was a debries field, with no signs of the planet. We brushed it off as some undetected massive asteroid crashing into the planet, but more and more planets disappeared in that way, some planets we lost contact with, were covered in a barier preventing anything else then light entering, some were completely stripped of life. That's when we realised, humans had weapons capable of destroying entire planets, as the fight continued more and more planets were lost, so we assembled a massive fleet, the biggest in the galaxy, and sent it against the humans, but the fleet was obliterated bu the superior tactics and manovering of the Human ships. Now 10 years after the war start, only 6 out of the original 50 civilisations remain, the rest was killed into extinction. For the remaining 6 there is nothing we can do, besides try to run. Oh how we wish we listened to that last message! There is nothing left. The remaining 6 did the worst things to humans, and seeing hit the remaining ones ended up we can't hope for any leaniency. 2024.06.09 18:10 Kracra3 Two friends of mine are beginning the journey in mh world iceborne. I've started a new hunter with them and idk what events we should complete, especially the AT quests.

The core things that I'm going to enforce in the playthrough are: -completing every mission in low/high rank -trying the weapon they like -teaching the basics of skills for armor and decos.
I'm more prepared and I have 1k hours on this game so I can help them out on every quest and advice them for every monster.
Looking at the events, I can clearly see that some of them are useful like the Ignition greatsword, but a glance at the AT quests gives me the war flashbacks.
My main question is: are the AT elder dragons even worth to try out? the equipment you get from completing these quests gets outscaled immediately in MR, but the difficulty of these missions should be enough to prepare them for master rank end-game imo.
TLDR, quests REALLY HARD but reward pretty maeh.
What is your opinion?

Warning: very long post regarding Worms Armageddon and powerful mod called “Project X”, TL:DR is at the bottom.
Hello fellow worms fans, today I would like to tell you about things I've been doing for the past year. I'll start in the year 2012, when I stumbled upon PX forum and since then my favorite Worms game changed for the rest of my life. For those who don’t know:
Project X (or PX) is a modification for Worms Armageddon which provides scripters access to various parts of the core gameplay elements, such as the game logic and weapons. Existing object classes can be altered, by overriding their methods to modify their behaviour towards certain events, and new classes can be created to add extra functionalities to the game.
Project X also adds DirectX 9 rendering support to the game, which grants the user with the possibility to render, rotate and scale 32-bit sprites in real-time.
This opened so many possibilities one can only imagine. During “golden” era of the mod, people were highly enthusiastic, forum was thriving, everyone tried to contribute by making schemes, weapons and other stuff. This led to the problem that grew exponentially. The mod uses special .pxl (Project X Library) file to implement scripting and inject it to the game engine, but since 90% of players were not familiar with any coding knowledge and mod structure, every minuscule modification was saved as a separate pxl file to avoid conflicts between libraries. Files were updating, new versions, new names, different iterations of same library with just couple lines modified, it quickly became a mess. Full libs folder with every possible scheme and lib was over 2 gigabytes (while typical lib size is no more than 1 Mb). Some libs had more than 7 versions, some schemes required particular set of libs incompatible with the rest, conflicts were unavoidable.
Another problem of the mod is that it only works on an outdated version of WA (3.6.3.1) and is close-source. The developer of the mod (Entuser) is long gone and hasn’t been seen for many years, while the game was getting new patches and improvements. Combine this with very tedious and finicky mod installation process. This led to a slow but steady decaying of interest and regress in player count. This was the state I left WA and took a long break from it.
About a year ago I decided to remind myself how fun it was with the mod. After many attempts, I got it working, this is when I stumbled upon a small group of people who were still playing quite regularly, had their own telegram chat and somewhat stable build they shared with each other via zip file. But game modes were scarce, since only a few stable schemes were available.
This whole situation inspired me to take action and do something about it. Being no coder at all and working in art field, I never had any experience besides some basic in middle school. I started analyzing all the code snippets, scripts and libraries and in few months I got a hang of it. My plan was to fully reorganize these libraries, get rid of duplicates, solve bugs, make an understandable structure and most importantly, make everything compatible with each other.
Roll many sleepless nights, some math tutorials, few hundred hours of testing with trial and error method, and thousands lines of code. All this leads to today, when I'm finally ready to share my work with everyone. In the TL:DR below is the link to the Dropbox folder where I store everything.
There you can find installation guide along with the all files you might need to get it working. The fore-mentioned libs folder is now only 200Mb, well organized with prefixes in file names, while containing more libraries than was available before, there are more than 70 working schemes, hundreds of maps specifically designed for PX. In our telegram group we're all using my reorganized version for couple months already. There are still some bugs appearing from time to time which is unavoidable because I'm working alone and it's easy to overlook some dependencies and conflicts. The mod is still very tricky to get working, many factors come into play: Windows version, graphics card, screen resolution etc. But once you get it working, there's no denying you will have fun playing with it. 2024.06.09 18:05 Grand-Tension8668 Understanding Dune's "God" is crucial to understanding Dune.

I still have not read past Children. I'm still currently re-reading it (god I have trouble reading through that book). But I'm still damn confident about what I'm trying to say, here. Maybe it's not authorial intent, but even if it isn't, this line of thinking keeps tying everything together way too well for me to not think about it.
Dune talks about God a whole heck of a lot. If you include appendix "god" shows up something like forty times in the first book. People talk about capital G God, the Jungian Great Mother is a goddess, Paul is called small-g god as Emperor (or at least godhead), as The Preacher he "brings" and "speaks for" the Hand of God, Leto-II declares himself big-G God-Emperor.
All of this god-talk seems to get brushed past, and that's unfortunate, because I'm fairly sure that some of Dune's "railroad to disaster" storylines are governed more by "God" than by prescience itself; God is race consciousness. This goes a long way towards understanding some aspects of Dune that people find strange or weak. Let me explain.
He remained silent, thinking like the seed he was, *thinking with the race consciousness he had first experienced as terrible purpose.* He found that he no longer could hate the Bene Gesserit or the Emperor or even the Harkonnens. They were all caught up in the need of their race to renew its scattered inheritance, to cross and mingle and infuse their bloodlines in a great new pooling of genes. And the race knew only one sure way for this-- the ancient way, the tried and certain way that rolled over everything in it's path: jihad.
Whether race consciousness is just the Jungian collective unconscious or a more literal super-consciousness (I think it's more literally mystic and I'll get to that), the key thing here is that Paul was thinking with the race consciousness. It's worded like it's an instinct within him, same as it is for everybody else, like he's using that "instead of" his brain (not literally, but that's how it's worded). What does the race consciousness want? Jihad. What is literally every character in Dune doing? Railroading towards Jihad, whether they know it or not. The "race consciousness" is doing that, not some sort of prescience-induced predestination.
Sire, Paul thought. The word had such a strange sound when directed at him. Sire had always been his father. He felt himself touched briefly by his powers of prescience, seeing himself *infected* (emphasis mine) by the wild race consciousness that was moving the human universe towards chaos. The vision left him shaken...
I think this passage is easy to misread. Paul's powers of prescience are not race consciousness. He sees, with his prescience, a future in which he is infected by race consciousness. A future in which, like everyone else, he follows it's bidding, which we already know is jihad. Also, note that this is a wild race consciousness. The use of the word wild here is conspicuous because it only shows up in this context, seemingly.
In Chapter 32, Jessica gives herself up to a "demanding memory" and speaks some stuff automatically which the Fremen interpret as a prophetic sign, confirmation that she's the woman their prophecies are about.
Her mind felt as though it had rolled over within her. She recognized the sensation with a quickening of pulse. Nothing in all the Bene Gesserit training carried such a signal of recognition. It could only be the adab, the demanding memory that comes upon you of itself. She gave herself up to it, allowing the words to flow from her... "The fire of God mount over thy heart," she said. And she thought: *Now, it goes in the proper channel.*
The fire of God now goes through the proper channel? Through her, because the memory of that specific scripture came to her unprompted?
Paul took a deep breath, trying to still the tempest within him. His mother's words had locked onto the working of the spice essence, and he had flet her voice rise and fall within him like the shadows of an open fire. Trough it all, he had sensed the edge of cynicism in her--he knew her so well!--But nothing could stop this thing that had begun with a morsel of food. *Terrible purpose!* He sensed it, the race consciousness that he could not escape...
Jessica had a "holy spirit" moment. Paul, having just ate a load of spice, was prepared to actively notice that her words, which she characterized as the Fire of God, "activated" the terrible purpose, the race consciousness within him, even though both of them were cynical about what was occurring. (I should note that Paul also discovers, moments later, the fact that his looking into the future actively messes with it, a key idea for Messiah IMO.)
Another moment where Paul considers the unstoppable race consciousness in chapter 34:
Somewhere ahead of him on this path, the fanatic hoards cut their gory path across the universe in his name. The green and black Atreides banner would become a symbol of terror. Wild legions would charge into battle screaming their war cry: "Muad'Dib!" It must not be, he thought. I cannot let it happen. But he could feel the demanding race consciousness within him, his own terrible purpose, and he knew that no small thing could defeat the juggernaut... If he died this instant, the thing would go on through his mother and his unborn sister. Nothing less than the deaths of all the troop gathered here and now... could stop the thing.
The race consciousness of humanity has concentrated all of it's efforts on creating Paul (which becomes more clear later). So Paul, and anyone sufficiently close to him, is carrying this "terrible purpose" humanity's race consciousness has prepared him for. It could be said that they're all already "infected" by it. Maybe Paul is too, but can't really see it in himself? Certainly what I think, see here.
In Chapter 40 Paul specifically considers that the "terrible purpose" of humanity's race consciousness is the most constant thing between his visions and reality, it never changes.
The differences in the ways he comprehended the universe haunted him-- accuracy matched with inaccuracy. He saw it in situ. Yet, when it was born, when it came into the pressures of reality, the now had it's own life and grew with it's own subtle differences. Terrible purpose remained. Race consciousness remained. And over all loomed the jihad, bloody and wild.
Finally, the most memorable passage in Dune in it's final chapter is all about this inevitability:
he sampled the time-winds, sensing the turmoil, the storm nexus that now focused on this moment place. Even the faint gaps were closed now. Here was reason enough (emphasis mine) for a Kwisatz Haderach or a Lisan al-Gaib or even the halting schemes of the Bene Gesserit. The race of humans had felt it's own dormancy, sensed itself grown stale and knew now only the need to experience turmoil in which the genes would mingle and the strong new mixtures survive. All humans were alive as an unconscious single organism in this moment, experiencing a kind of sexual heat that cold overcome any barrier. And Paul saw how futile were any efforts of his to change any smallest bit of this. He had thought to opposed the Jihad within himself, but the jihad would be.
Finally, Herbert directly states what the race consciousness of humanity wants. It wants it's war, because it's convinced that war increases humanity's genetic fitness. And that isn't just within other people, it's in Paul, too, and he couldn't oppose it, even within himself.
Note that even "the halting schemes of the Bene Gesserit" are listed as a puppet of race consciousness _alongside_ the Kwisatz Haderach rather than them being it's true source. That idea is brought to fruition in Appendix III: Report on Bene Gesserit motives and purposes. In that appendix, it's rightly asserted that the BG's actions (or lack of action) regarding the Arrakis Affair were _shockingly_ incompetent. The author of that appendix concludes this way:
In the face of these facts, one is led to the inescapable conclusion that the inefficient Bene Gesserit behavior in this affair was a product of an even higher plan of which they were completely unaware!
Higher plans? Plans from on high? Like... God's plan? Like the Fire of God briefly channeled through Jessica. It has already been stated several times that the Bene Gesserit are puppets of race consciousness. In Dune, race consciousness is God.
"The Fremen will have the word of Muad'Dib," Paul said. "There will be flowing water here open to the sky and green oases rich with good things. But we have the spice to think of, too. There will always be desert on Arrakis... and fierce winds, and trials to toughen a man. We Fremen have a saying: 'God created Arrakis to train the faithful.' One cannot go against the word of God."
Paul is thoroughly convinced that race consciousness has locked the jihad in place. It can't be stopped. And now he says that the Fremen will be trained for war on Arrakis, like the Sardaukar, because "one cannot go against the word of God". Once again, race consciousness is God.
You know how people sometimes question why the heck the Fremen went through with the Jihad? Like, what actually possessed them to do that? What in their religion or what rationale suggested to them that they should go wipe out dozens of planets? It seems absurd for the same reason the BG's actions seem absurd when they're considered closely. They're acting on animal instinct, and animal instinct had a plan.
Dune: Messiah has slightly less to say about God, but it's still got something to say. It seems conspicuous to me that capital G God is brought up less now that Paul's terrible purpose has been carried out. It's got less to influence, now.
"There exists no separation between gods and men; one blends softly casual into the other. --*PROVERBS OF MUAD'DIB
Paul's words. Men bleed into gods and vice-versa... because it's just a matter of how much sway they have in humanity's race-consciousness.
"I'm a figurehead. When godhead's given, that's the one thing the so-called god no longer controls." A bitter laugh shook through him.
Within Fremen religion Paul's seen as the "godhead". Godhead is an idea common to spiritual systems where everything is on some level divine-- the godhead is the point from which all else emanates, or _is concentrated._ Race consciousness was concentrated in Paul as the Kwisatz Haderach.
I never wanted to be a god, he thought. I wanted only to disappear like a jewel of trace dew caught by the morning. I wanted to escape the angls and the damned--alone...as though by an oversight.
Paul does see himself as a sort of god. It's a role that has been thrust upon him, and it's noted that there are less gods than there used to be. But he is not capital G God.
You know who _IS_ capital G God? Motherfucking God-Emperor Leto II Atreides. I am aware that he is literally referred to as God, and that his Golden Path, his method of avoiding Krazilec, involves effectively shepherding humanity's overall thought-process and instincts. A good chunk of Children of Dune is about Leto learning to control his own ego-memories, and he finds Harum.
Leto's awareness floated free, no objective psyche to compensate for consciousness, no barriers. Namri's "provisional future" remained lightly in his memory, but it shared awareness with many futures. And in this shattering awareness, all of his past, every inner life became his own. With the help of the greatest within him, he dominated. They were his. He thought: When you study an object from a distance, only it's principle may be seen. He had achieved the distance necessary and he could see his own life now: the multi-past and its memories were his burden, his joy, and his necessity. But the worm trip had added another dimension and his father no longer stood guard within him because the need no longer existed. Leto saw through the distances clearly-- past and present. And the past presented him with an ultimate ancestor-- one who was called Harum and without whom the distant future would not be. These clear distances provided new principles, new dimensions of sharing. Whichever life he now chose, he'd live it out in an autonomous sphere of mass experience, a trail of lives so convoluted that no single lifetime could count the generations of it. Aroused, this mass experience held the power to subdue his selfdom. It could make itself felt upon an individual, a nation, a society or an entire civilization.
Leto lives his life as an "autonomous sphere of mass experience" which could dominate not only his personal selfdom, but a "nation, society or an entire civilization". Paul certainly couldn't do that, he knew he couldn't do it because race consciousness ruled. Considering where Leto II's newfound enlightenment(?) leads, it seems safe to say that he became something no human had ever been before. It's like he's wrangled so much of humanity's past in his head and actually mastered it that he's the majority stakeholder of race consciousness, he holds the reigns now. And so he calls himself God.
It's sometimes asked why Herbert wrote God-Emperor, because it seems to contradict Herbert's own earlier warnings about Paul. I suspect that this is the distinction. Paul was human and ultimately subject to human flaws and instincts, in fact he was created by human flaws and instincts, which is a pretty good description of most dictators, other people prop them up. Leto, though, isn't burdened by these things. He is no longer controlled by race-consciousness, so he can be a true philosopher-king. Herbert can therefore explore how he thinks a "perfect human" who has mastered their instincts might rule.
...Oh also, as far as race-consciousness only being a Jungian collective unconscious, all I have to ask is if that's the case, why are people in these books inserting themselves into the consciousness of other people? Particularly Paul's assertion that if the Reverend Mother "looks in that place she dare not look", she'll see him. That's not _just_ genetic memories. And in the same scene, Alia effectively uses this to communicate with the Reverend Mother, who is convinced that Alia really, really shouldn't be there, like it's an unnatural aberration. Explicitly stated to not be "TP" (telepathy), exactly.

The LSAT has been a real mess for me haha… tried taking it in April and there were issues on Prometric’s end, so I was kicked to the makeup day and they scheduled me for FIVE am. Cancelled that score and I was like June better go great, since it’s the last of the games
Checked into a hotel to take the test since that seemed simplest to make sure I had a clean clear distraction free space. Started the test yesterday and it was going GREAT.
1st section was was LG! YES, baby, let’s start strong right out of the gate! Amazing! I felt SO good about the games. I had the managers at the 2 different types of restaurants and I felt like I just completely understood (both on that game and the writers of different subjects and whatever the one was where I had to sequence I think 8 different things. Anyway, blah blah I just felt like I was getting all the inferences needed to make the questions so straightforward. I was getting close to finishing the section with time to spare, baby!
And boom. My computer screen went black. Uh oh. What happened. Well, me, in this unfamiliar hotel room didn’t realize - I was PLUGGED INTO AN OUTLET THAT DIDN’T work!
I can’t believe I didn’t think to check and make sure my computer was actually charging. I’m already beating myself up about it so much that you don’t really need to. Because I am just trying not to torture myself
I plugged it into a working outlet and as soon as my computer turned on, I tried to get back in. They said people get disconnected and it’s not a big deal and they’ll just do the room scan and I can pickup where I left off. They sent me to a proctor. The proctor said they were launching the test but it wouldn’t launch. Got kicked back to security - who sent me to a proctor - then the test wouldnt launch.
We did this merry go round like 4 or 5 times. Toward the last one, I’m crying, and the lady’s like “let’s take some deep breaths first. I don’t want you to be stressed for your test” and I was like “PLEASE! Don’t try to calm me down. I am present. I’m not being mean to you. But I am crying. So, I was still totally capable of doing the needed things but she was obsessed with trying to get me to ‘calm down’ which was so counterproductive haha; I was being as nice as I could while crying but whenever someone tells someone to ‘calm down’ of course it does the opposite. I was calm enough to do the scan which should’ve been all that mattered 🤪)
Anyway, the test never launches with any of the proctors they send me to. They have me sign off to talk to people on the Prometric chat and then the LSAT line and eventually they’re like “too much time has passed in all these attempts. Your number has expired and you can only take on the makeup test day”
That’s when I started BAWLING to the poor man on the phone at LSAC. (Sorry to the man for whom I don’t know his name)
I’ll do my best to make sure nothing weird happens on the 18th and god willing they won’t schedule me for five AM again as this is my last chance with the games and that’s just so not conducive at all to a good score.
Anyway, if anyone has any silver lining at all - if anyone else had that LG section first like if there was some kind of absolutely killer section or something I should be glad I missed, feel free to jump in and let me know so I can maybe feel that there’s something good about not getting to finish 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
