2024.06.10 01:39 Accurate_Implement64 chat I might not get into college

Okay, that's a bit of an overstatement, but I still feel like I'm pretty cooked as far as college applications go..
Demographics: Asian Male, 300k income, competitive high school in tx
Intended Major(s): Data Science/Applied Math/Computer Science
SAT: 1450 (700 EBRW, 750 M) without studying. Im grinding for that 1500+ on August; it's going well so far
UW GPA: 3.8125 from 9-11th grade (no Cs), 3.7609 from 7-11th grade (1 C 😭)
W GPA: 4.807 / 6.0 from 7-11th grade
UCs: 3.9 UW, 4.57 W, 4.17 Weighted and capped (I might be in top 10% in this case)
Official class rank: N/A (school does not rank outside top 10%)
The truth behind my class rank: I stupidly decided to take 4 on-level high school classes during middle school, and I ended up getting 3 B- and 1 C+ in those classes. Becaues of this, my weighted GPA took a huge hit and now I am actually outside the top 25% of my class, the cutoff of which is 4.87 according to a doc provided by my school. This is also the reason why I am cooked for A&M engineering. It sucks cuz if I actually did well in 7th and 8th grade then I would have easily been in first quartile :(
Coursework:
18 AP Courses + 2 DE:
Freshman: AP HuG (4)
Sophomore: AP Spanish Lang (1 lmfao), APWH (5)
Junior: AP Calc AB (BC exam), AP Physics 1, AP Seminar (skipped exam lool), APUSH, AP Bio, AP CSA, AP Lang, AP CSP
Senior: AP Gov/Econ, AP Stats, AP Physics C (Mech/E&M), APES, AP Lit, Calc III (dual enrollment), Differential Equations (dual enrollment), Data Structures and Algorithms (weighted as 6.0)
Awards (weak asl):
Extracurriculars (idk if these are good or bad) :
  1. Developed an open-source website and mobile app for a large nonprofit flight simulation organization, now actively used by over 1,000 distinct users and attracted over 20 contributors; displays statistical information for all aircraft on a multiplayer server and aims to help users know where to fly next using historical data, so that the user wouldn't need to guess where to fly based on current ATC coverage.
  2. Interning at T50 CS lab and collecting data from social media which I can then use to make insights and deliver a presentation at the end of the internship regarding the trends that the school is going through. The point of the internship is to essentially to be a data scientist for 3 months lol
  3. Active addon creator for Microsoft Flight Simulator - Developed many addons such as aircraft liveries, realistically modeled airports, and performance optimization mods, with my biggest mod being a graphics mod to make the sim look more realistic. ~3000 downloads for all mods. Fun fact: Most of my python programming skills comes from making these mods lol
  4. Part of Computer Science UIL at my high school for 3 years and attending pretty much every club meeting and competition that my school has related to programming. Did this mostly for fun with friends
  5. Member of Computer Science club - I teach python and R programming to members who want to go into the data science field. This is pretty important to me since our school only teaches Java in terms of algorithms, so I get to spread my knowledge of R to a lot of people who were never exposed to this side of data analysis and statistics.
  6. Personal Computer Science projects that I made using various languages such as R, Python, Java, JavaScript, and some webdev stuff with python flask (like that website I posted to Vatsim a couple months back)
  7. Peer tutor for physics on the weekends. Created a comprehensive doc that takes all the important parts from our lessons and puts them into one doc that makes concepts easier to understand. I have tutored about ~30 people at this point and I hope to grow it even more during senior year.
  8. Volunteering for ~105 hours as a part of the warehouse crew at a local food packing facility
  9. Volunteering for 30 hours at NHS events and at our local temple
  10. Am a part of the Cybersecurity club, National Science Honor Society, table tennis club, and National Honor Society at my school.

2024.06.09 23:05 Bean_Boozled TAK-653 and Bromantane stack

Hey all, was thinking of starting a stack of TAK653 and bromantane but had some basic questions.
For a 250lbs/113kgs male, what would the average recommended dosage look like? Mgs of a single dose, how often to take a dose, what time of day or how soon before exams/projects to take it, etc.
Also, I know many people cycle these compounds, so what is generally the recommended way to cycle them?

2024.06.09 22:05 senilesplash71 List Critique with Mid Stats!

List Critique with Mid Stats!
Howdy!! Made this list from a combination of suggestions from friends, premed advisors, admit.org, and reddit! I’m trying to filter out the schools where I won’t have enough service to really be considered.
Right now its 14 reach, 16 target, 8 baseline according to admit.org. I'd like to add some more target schools but not sure what to add.
I don’t really want to cut any of the real reach schools (first ~10 schools) since I picked each of them for a particular reason (Hofstra & NYU are on Long Island where I’m from; Weill because I did Cornell UG; Rochester because I’m doing my masters in the med school; etc).
Info on me:
  • NYS Resident, Hispanic Male.
  • Biology + Statistics double major (graduated a year early too).
  • Mcat: 509
  • sGPA: 3.79 cGPA: 3.80
  • 400 Clinical Hours as an Opthamolic Tech (lots of hands on patient experience preparing/drawing meds, giving drops, charting, running testing)
  • 30 Hours Shadowing (Mostly optho in different optho sub specialties. A little in cardiology).
  • 700 Research Hours (no pubs; mix of wet lab and bioinformatics work tying in my stat and bio knowledge).
  • 300 Hours as a TA (Intro stats and Biochem - did a lot for these classes. Made several review and lecture practice problem videos. I really like teaching and tried to do the most I could as a TA).
  • 500 Hours Volunteering (founded a non-profit which taught underprivileged high schools students AP exam content. The group dissolved a while ago. Also volunteered with special Ed students in NYC).
  • I referee NCAA D1 soccer & Semi-Pro Soccer.
  • Doing a masters in Biostat in my gap year (I have a position as a Resident Housing Director & will teach an undergrad course while doing my masters).
Ignore the numbers on the side (after about the second category the numbers become meaningless actually).

Sometimes it just needs to shed
My old male bearded dragon had some kind of tail injury a LONG while back, about a centimeter of tail hardened and eventually broke off. I tool him to the vet and after an exam they let me know they didn't think I'd need to worry about any additional rot or necrosis. True to fashion, I decided to worry about it anyway. His tail was getting darker toward the tip and it looked like it was gonna shed maybe, but it also looked like it could be the beginning of tail rot. He sheds so infrequently at his age that I wasn't sure. Today, FINALLY, I noticed scales coming loose. He'd also pooped and ran thru it so he needed a rinse. I gave him a warm bath and brushed him lightly with a soft bristle toothbrush (he loves the bath). The bottom two inches of his tail shed completely including a thick "endcap" that he had been rocking while his tail was healing. It looks so much better and I'm so relieved that it was just shed and not rot.

2024.06.09 19:55 Few-Pick-6133 Pain going on for months-don't know what to do

Hello everyone. This is gonna be along one so please bare with me as I vent. This has all taken a toll on m mentally and I feel so stuck, to the point where I am questioning everything.
In December of 2023, I began having very bad pain while urinating, discharge....I suspected a UTI. However, I tested positive for Chlamydia(even though my partner at the time said he was negative.). I got treated, retested and everything came back negative. However, I was still experiencing burning while peeing, vaginal discharge, and etc. I went to the gyno for the first time, around the middle of January and explained my symptoms to her. She said that she saw some yeast while doing the exam and treated me for such. I got tested for the regular STI's and did a vaginal swab. The medicine she gave me did not help much and all my results came back negative. Going into February, my friend passed and I went into a dark place. I stopped caring for my health and I didn't revisit the gyno(although experiencing pain while urinating, itching, discharge; etc) up until March. March comes around, I am still struggling with everything and I visit the Gyno again with the same symptoms. She tested me for Mycoplasma/Ureaplasma and gave me cream to deal with the itching. My results come back and I was in fact positive for Mycoplasma. I am not sure what medicine she put me on, but I remember it was a 7 day antibiotic.
I took it, felt a little better, but a week later the same symptoms started to return. At the end of March/beginning of April, I had a burning sensation while peeing, I began having very sharp pain in my pelvis, hip/leg pain, on and off discharge(somedays it would be brownish, next it would be a very clear heavy discharge), and lower back pain. I returned to same gyno and she thought it was a UTI. She took a urine sample and did a swab(however, i don't believe she retested me for mycoplasma). She gave me a three day antibiotic and it worked. The pain while peeing went away and the cramping subsided. However, the results came back and everything came back negative. But, in my urine my white and red blood cells were high. She told me to go to my PCP because she believed it wasn't a gyno related issue anymore. By that time I was experiencing very bad pain in my chest and back. I ended up going to the ER because I believed I had a kidney issue. I did a CAT Scan, but everything came back fine. The doctor told me it was a muscoskeltal issue and prescribed naproxen to me. Also, it came back that I had a yeast infection. I explained the cramping and such to the doctor and she said I did have a UTI, the test just didn't detect it. I asked her if the cramping was due to the muscoskeltal issue and she said it could be... I went home, took Fluconazole(singular) and began using the Naproxen.
I am a college student and I dorm, so I constantly have to travel back and forth to attend these doctor appointments. I return back to school and my pain subsides in my chest area, but the naproxen did not help the cramping. I still was having pain while peeing. I return back home to see my PCP, and she did a vaginal exam and said she saw yeast again. She told me the cramping was just due to my period(just no). She prescribed Fluconazole and a insertion for the yeast infection. I told her to run every test she can and the only thing that came up was a little bacteria in my urine(she told me this 7 days after I went to her). I told her I am still having pain while urinating and so she gave me a 7 day medication(take two a day), I forget the name. I was taking both that medicine she gave me and the naproxen, but, I ended up stop taking the naproxen because I experienced really bad stomach problems one day and I believed that it cause my period to be almost late(6 days, my period is usually on time and comes between the 14th and 16th).
At this point I stop going to my PCP because of her response to what I am telling her. I make an appointment with a different gyno to address it. BY THIS TIME, I am having pain in my pelvis, abdomen, and lower back(moreso on my left side), and my hip. I am not peeing frequently, there is no discharge or very little, BUT when I PEE IT BURNS. I make an appointment. Before seeing my gyno, I do an ultrasound( my belly and vaginal) and everything is fine. I tell her all these symptoms, she swabs me for everything(including mycoplasma but those results were inconclusive because I was on my period, so i have to retake it), I ask her if it's possible if I have PID, she says I would be in more pain. She refers me to a urologist and gastroenterologist(my abdominal pain was concerning to her). I go to my urologist first(May 29th), she tells me that she believes that due to all the antibiotics I have been taking since December my urethra and stomach have not had time to heal(which I totally agree). She does a vaginal exam(looks fine). She brings up pelvic floor issues and does a fast exam on me, but it doesn't seem abnormal. However, she said its still a possibility. She basically tells me that she thinks I need to stay off antibiotics, use cranberry pills, and visiting the GI is a good idea. She also gave me a lubricant to apply down there just to see if it eases the pain. I have an call with her in two weeks to update her.
Two days after, I visit my GI. I do have constipation, burping, and such. He basically said I don't know what it is but, he prescribed me Pantoprazole to take before breakfast and suggested I use miralax. I also have a follow up call with him.
My results came back from my gyno that I have BV, she told me that it usually goes away on its own, but she will send an antibiotic just in case. Which worries me because of what the urologist said. I am still experiencing pain when I pee, pelvic pain, abdominal pain, pain on my left side, buttotcks pain, and lower back pain as of right now, the pain isn't excruciating, but its there. Sometimes it feels like stabbing in my back or my pelvic like just hurts. I do have some pain in my actual vaginal hole and sometimes it just hurts, kinda like I’m in my period, but I’m not. Due to this, I went to the hospital because of it actually getting worse. I did the regular sti testing, an abdominal x ray, and bood testsing. The x-ray showed I had a lot of gas and basically poop in my system. So she sent miralax and another medicine, "so i wouldn't get hemmorids". That was June 5th, I have been taking all the medicine as is, but the pain has returned. When I lie down, their is pain in my lower back(feels as its pulsating and moreso on my left side), pain in my pelvis, and my whole left leg is hurting. I don't know what to do, this has been going on for months.
edit: i believe its also important to note, the abdominal pain has subsided but the pelvic pain has not. I also had random spotting on friday(two days after the hospital appt). it was light and after a couple of hours it went away(it happened when i was at the gym)

2024.06.09 19:47 tianaraven Is nursing school really for me?

okay hello, i'm a 3rd year irregular college student taking up nursing. like 3 years na ako sa nursing pero ang tinitake ko na subjects is for 2nd year (i failed pharmacology). nawalan talaga ako ng gana after failing that subject, right now i am failing another subject kasi wala na talaga akong gana mag aral. i lost the motivation to study, like rn finals na namin pero wala parin akong gana, kahit pilitin ko wala parin. one thing that makes me lose motivation is yung mga CIs na imbes na iempower ka to learn and to study more, they would emphasize how bad you are and you won't have future in this field. as much as i want to prove them wrong, i couldn't anymore, I'm tired na from trying and still failing their standards. the environment in school is toxic it's not a place of learning kasi rather than honing us to be great nurses they would bring us down in anyway possible and fail us like nothing happened, why? kasi gusto nila ng 100% passing rate sa board exam and would blame and put pressure on us their current students kasi yung mga product nila ay di pumapasa sa board exam and would take 2 or more tries bago pumasa (its not for every nursing school, yung saamin lang). They would make us do a Case study without explaining to us how to do it, or giving format man lang para gawin yun, and give us 2 weeks to do it while bombarding us with too much activities that would take most of our time, they would also give quizzes and ask questions na di namin alam saan kinuha (i always read in advance po) My friends would say na nasa tamang course kami pero nasa maling nursing school.
i wanted to be in healthcare, i like being a nurse i love being able to do things that can help other people but Kinikwestyon ko na kung para saakin ba ito or sinasayang ko lang oras ko and oras ng mga magulang ko. I am just very thankful na di ako pinipressure ng parents ko na makagraduate on time as long as makagraduate kami magkakapatid.
should I consider shifting na to another course, take a break from school or just transfer schools and continue nursing there? I don't know what to do

2024.06.09 19:14 retardbae Need Help with Weight Loss and Fitness - 18M, 90kgs, Preparing for Important Exam

Hi everyone,
I'm an 18-year-old male student and I really need your help. My whole life, I've been bullied for my weight. I weigh 90kgs and I'm about 5'9"/5'10". This has affected my confidence and performance in everything I do. My family and cousins often tease me about my looks, calling me "uncle." I've joined the gym several times but never managed to stay consistent for more than a week or two. I have no control over my diet and often feel hopeless. Now, I'm preparing for an exam where my fitness will be tested, and I feel like they'll kick me out just by looking at me.
Recently, I was diagnosed with ADHD and OCD by my psychiatrist, and my mental health isn't very good. I think going to the gym will help me get better. Additionally, I struggle with strong urges to eat junk food and have no idea how to control these cravings. I'm a heavy smoker, smoking 3-4 times a day, and I know it's terrible for my health, but I can't seem to stop. Porn and masturbation are also significant problems for me and I feel like I'm wasting my teenage years on these habits.
This is my last chance to turn things around. My career depends on it. I need practical advice from experienced people on how to get lean and lose fat within this year. What should my daily gym routine look like, especially since I can't go to the gym every day? I need a simple, practical diet plan that doesn't stress my mom with special meals. How much weight should I aim to lose per month, and how do I track my progress daily? Realistically, how long will it take to see significant fat loss?
I’m really committed to making this change and would appreciate any guidance, tips, or personal experiences you can share. Thanks in advance.

Hi folks, I missed cutoff for ipmat indore by 9 marks in qa mcq, relied on luck on exam day preparing for 3 days scoring 182 (gen male), no hope of any college. I am enrolled in first yr in an integrated masters in science in good college ( for science, better than du). I am thinking of preparing for cat 2025 but in integrated program, the declaration to leave with bs can be done only before december. Is it worth the risk to give cat and declare for exit if get excellent score? Or is it better to give ipmat again( my full course with mba and ipm will take same time: 7 yrs) ( gonna give it for practice anyways, should I take it very seriously?) I very much like stability but I hate my college very much. At what percentile an average interview will fetch iim? (Or no percentile can gaurantee or make chances very high?)

2024.06.09 17:30 HahaHamster4 Can anyone help me with some career advice?

Hello everyone, I'm looking for some career advice. I'm a 22 year old male who graduated from civil engineering in 2023, since then I've had two jobs and left because the work didn't interest me at all and the pay is too low, and I'm unable to clear government exams because I'm from general category and the cut off is too high, I wanted to start my own construction company but I couldn't because of various reasons, some might ask why civil engineering if you don't have interest, I just wanna say that I'm from India so you already have your answer there, lately I've been thinking of completely giving up in civil field and joining the banking and finance field, should I do MBA? (From IIM of course otherwise no), there's also pressure for me to find a job, can someone give me a reality check or something advice on what I could do next? Feel free to DM me so we can have a much more detailed conversation. Hoping that the legends of finance can help me out.

2024.06.09 17:29 Ok_Wrangler7855 ct scan????

hey guys, i (22f) have had recurrent utis and pretty much constant bladder pain/burning for the last 6 months. for context, i’ve had terrible cramps, irregular periods, shooting pain down my leg, painful bowel movements, recurrent utis etc since i started my period at 10. i’ve tried birth control after birth control and finally am getting a little relief uterine pain wise, but my constant bladder pain led my urologist to first say that i have interstitial cystitis and then do a ct. she said that based on these findings, she’s suspecting endometriosis and i’m going to the gyno next week for them to take a look. i’m putting the ct report in the post because i’m just wondering if anyone started in a situation kind of like mine and ended up with an endometriosis or adenomyosis diagnosis after ultrasounds or laparoscopy. thanks!!!
EXAM: CT UROGRAM DATE: 5/28/2024 INDICATION: RECURRENT UTI SINCE 01/2024; DYSURIA; BLADDER PAIN; WORSENING PELVIC DISCOMFORT SURGERIES: NONE PRIORS: NONE
CT imaging of the abdomen and pelvis was performed prior to and subsequent to the administration of IV contrast. Radiation reduction methodologies were employed including automated exposure control, manual adjustment of mA and kV based on patient body size and/or iterative reconstruction.
Findings: I see no renal collecting system stone. There is a tiny simple cyst projecting from the anterolateral left cortex. This is a Bosniak 1 lesion for which no follow-up is recommended. The bilateral nephrograms appear otherwise unremarkable. The intrarenal collecting systems, renal pelves and ureters appear normal. Urinary bladder has an unremarkable CT appearance.
The lung bases are clear. Tiny hypodense focus in the liver has a nonaggressive appearance. Liver and spleen appear otherwise unremarkable. Pancreas and adrenal glands have a normal appearance. I see no acute bowel abnormality. Uterus is heterogeneous. There is a nonspecific finding. Consider pelvic ultrasound for further characterization. Ovaries and adnexal regions appear unremarkable. I see no localized inflammatory process. There is no free intraperitoneal fluid or air. I see no acute osseous abnormality.
IMPRESSION: 1. Slight heterogeneity of the uterus. Pelvic ultrasound is recommended. 2. No other acute abnormality. Please see the above descriptions

2024.06.09 17:29 SuddenBag7701 I’m feeling down lately and confused

Hi so male here with diagnosed infertility from vericocles and sperm production issues and this was diagnosed like 6 years ago.. I wanted to muster up the courage to see if anything improved and started with an ultrasound…. Well the ultrasound discovered a cyst and I had all these scans done , ultrasounds, CT scan and bloodwork done and my urologists who is the chief of urology / oncologist says it’s benign but still need to keep rechecking via ultrasound for protocol so I started seeing a therapist because I I’ve been so scared that It will change and my anxiety has been so bad that I even have been having trouble sleeping and sweating at night … Illness even though been told it’s benign…
Anyway I have been dealing with my infertility since 6 years ago but then the idea of not ever having the chance to have kids at all terrifies me .. alot of my friends are having kids
I love kids , I love my nieces and god son and all my friends kids .. I want kids one day no matter what.. but the fear that I won’t even live to see that day is really driving my anxiety crazy and also that for some reason I feel like I’m not healthy despite being healthy…. And reading articles on infertility=health issues really messed me up…. and that I feel sad because of how lucky people that are having kids or have kids are and k just feel like an emptiness .. and it’s hard to think long term right now because of my fear of being sick… I have all these goals I want to accomplish and that if I meet a woman they won’t want to be with me issues of my fertility issue and if it’s even worth it at this point if I get sick or if idk if I’ll be sick ..
Idk ..

2024.06.09 16:04 Efficient_Camera8450 Elongated uvula in throat. Please help.

(27) (male) (6’1) (215 pounds) Sometime in February I noticed my uvula was elongated and had almost a tag hanging from it. I saw urgent care and PCP. Neither were concerned. Due to my severe health anxiety, I continued to worry about and saw my PCP again. I was referred to ENT.
Today I saw a NP at the ENT. She said I had a deviated septum but importantly, did a quick exam on the uvula. She said that she had seen it before and it looked like it could be an anatomical variation. Further, she said that she didn’t think it was cancer because it was the exact color of my uvula and I had no risk factors. She did suggest I see the physician in 6 weeks to discuss surgery for the septum and to have more eyes on the uvula.
Due to my health anxiety, I can’t stop worrying. I have to wait another 6 weeks thinking I could have cancer. I’ve had this for at least a year with normal lab work in between, but I’m still insanely stressed.
I have pictures on older posts in my profile but I can link again. Any help is greatly appreciated.

2024.06.09 15:02 Alexthegreat47 [IWantOut] 25M Cybersecurity Analyst USA -> Czechia

Dobrý den!
I’m a 25-year-old white male with 2 years of experience in local government as a cybersecurity analyst, an AAS in Cybersecurity, and Security+/Network+/A+ certifications. Lately, I’ve developed an interest in Czechia and am curious what the process of immigrating there for the purpose of work and eventual permanent residence realistically looks like for third country nationals.
My research has told me the following: - Long-term Residence Permit for the Purpose of Family Reunification is the best option for those fortunate enough to have a Czech spouse. - Even with the proposed changes to the Foreigners Act dropping the work permit requirement for citizens of seven non-EU countries, a temporary residence permit will still be required. - After 5 years of continuous temporary residence and passing a language exam for A2 proficiency in Czech, one may apply for a permanent residence permit. - After 5 years of continuous permanent residence and passing a language exam for B1 proficiency in Czech, one may apply for citizenship. - Expats without fluency in Czech are best off residing in Prague or Brno. - Both Prague and Brno have large IT industries. - The quickest way to a Czech’s heart is beer.
If anyone can expand on what the process looks like in real life rather than on paper, it would be most appreciated. Děkuji předem!

2024.06.09 14:18 lersy Limiting number of words in answers in reading and grammar exams

Hey folx,
there is a limited numbers of words policy in anwers in my language learning school especially in reading exams and in grammar exams. I don't mean restriction in writing exams at all since I can understand limiting the number of total words in such ones. But in reading, even though i understand every part of a text, when I try to answer questions I can't do it because of this word limit thing. Here is an extract from one of the exams.
Sentence: Children of parents with more than three children were refused schooling, prisoners were not granted parole, and male government workers were threatened with dismissal or demolition if they did not have vasectomy.
Question: In the 1970s what did government do to Indian prisoners who refused to have a vasectomy? (3 words max)
In this case, I know that government didn't allow people to go out of the jail earlier then expected if they didn't have vasectomy. I find it dull to write "They restricted them" or "Parole wasn't given" as an asnwer.
In grammar exams, they want us to paraphrase a sentence within a word limit as well. As long as I am able to paraphrase it, does it really matter the number of words I used?
This feels like I should find what they thought when they prepared the question rather than finding an answer from the text itself.
I don't believe that this type of questions try to measure whether something is understood by students yet maybe i am missing something here therefore I ask.
Is there a scientific or logical explaination behind this? Have you ever encountered such a thing in your learning journey? If I make a search about this issue on the internet, I can only find articles related to how total number of words known by students affect students' success.
Thanks all in advance for answering or making a comment.

2024.06.09 13:30 Known_Click Warts gone after four months on their own...

Male here, I noticed about this problem in february when I had some little white bumps, I went to the urologist confirming that I had HPV, on march the problem got worse, more come out and the ones already there got bigger, none of the treatments worked so far (On the contrary, they simply damaged the area) so I suspended it until I could undergo another effective treatment to remove them.
I had an appointment to remove them on June, what was my surprise? during this two weeks they have disappeared on their own... I started to have an itch down there and after a few days they completely disappeared, completely in shock I started searching about it and Indeed, the body can clear the virus over the course of two years... but mine happened in just four months.
I have a strong immune system (It even harms myself) I dont get sick (maybe one time per year or so) but I have other associated problems such as seborrheic dermatitis, arthritis etc. because of it so I don't know whether to thank my immune system or not haha

2024.06.09 13:29 yaz_q I'm 20 years old and reality is too daunting for me to handle.

I (20f) have a bad problem with daydreaming, and i've been kinda flunking law school, mind you i was gifted in highschool, ever since i could remember i was daydreaming (prolly around 10 y/o since), daydreaming about older male crushes and living a nice life with them in those silly little universes i made in my head, and reality now ever since i began feeling anxiety for real things like exams and my future have been debilitating me,
I spent my first two years in uni bullshitting my way, and i do have big dreams, like studying and living abroad, i wish i could restart my life somewhere else, maybe study criminology for my master's degree, but i always think that my grades would'nt be good enough for other unis to accept me, i have way too many anxieties, and i'm failing my parents although i hate them, but i can see they worked had to prvide me with relatively comfortable life, i've laways seen them fight, esp my father, and i can say i had a delayed devoloppment of self-awarness till the late age of seven.
I don't wanna get into details, but overall i feel so anxious and sad, it's gonna take me another two years just to finish this bachelor's degree, i feel so many things at once, the need to get a job, the need to save money so i can study abroad, trying to meet requirements and whatnot.
And i don't wanna end up in the same shitty marriage my mom ended up in, i wanna provide for myself and my little sister, and maybe break contact with my dad and his odious family in the foreseeable future.
i've had problems focusing an studying consistently which kinda improved a little, all i want to do all day is not be disturbed and read fanfiction or talk to a chatbot of my fav characters (i know unnatural).

2024.06.09 11:41 ContractDiligent124 Career options for consistent poor academics students

I am so confused right now in my life that I can't share my feelings with anyone in real life because no one around me have the idea that how the things work in the long term for multiple career options , let me briefly share the details about me : I am 24 year old male , I got 60 % in 10 so I took commerce without maths and I got 52 % in 12 th St. ( I found study interesting but IDK why I never got good marks although I hate maths subject ) So after completing 12 st. I took B.com from DU SOL ( Not even try to get into a regular college because didn't know the value of regular and not my parents ever told me so , still my mistake not my parents ) For 2 years straight I didn't even appear for exams and do some side hustles but failed in everything then in 2019 I started my first corporate job at concentric as a representative and start study for B.com exams then 3 years pass I completed my graduation and became senior representative in concentrix then in jan 2023 I left my job and tried some side businesses but could not succeed so I start preparing for CAT 2023 and failed miserably again didn't call for any tier 1 college and got waitlisted in SIBM PUNE but didn't clear not the problem is I have 0 work exp because concentrix work exp duration july 2019 to jan 2023 and I graduated in also october 2022 so it is not post graduation. Now I started a new job in Barclays as a FCS anylyst in april 2024 and I started M.COM from ignou in jan 2024 just for a safety but still not sure should I prepare for CAT 2024 or not , with my poor academics ( 60% in 10 , 52% in 12 , 59 % in B.com ) is it even worth it , will I get shortlisted for any company in placement . One more thing I am thalassemia major patient which is a blood disorder , Why I am telling you this because due to this I got a PWD quota and get a good chance to get admission in good college IF I score good in CAT . NOW my question is from all of you is based on my situation should I prepare for CAT again or pursue some other career I have CFA as well in my mind but not sure about it will poor academics affect after CFA . ( One things for sure is this time I will not leave my barclays job ). Should I continue with my JOB and 2-3 years later I can prepare for GMAT and plan to do MBA from abroad will it be a wise decision . I am really confused ******* PLEASE GUIDE MY THROUGH THIS *********
