I got it for about $50 from craigslist awhile back with another monitor type Trinitron. These two are the only i’ve bought in my collection. I think there is a base for it i could buy as i’ve seen them around online but i can’t find a specific yet.

2024.05.16 22:29 Conscious_Mirror503 Sign of hardware hardware (SSD?) Failure? Or something else?

Hi all, so lately my PC has been pretty unreliable when stressed, or even without. I've had problems with it in the past with random shutdowns or BSODs but previously there's a lot of time between each problem. Lately, the PC shuts off every time I try to load Furmark/P95 or even a mobile game (via Bluestacks). For the last week or so I've been using Furmark + P95 as a temporary room heater, monitored the temps and they rarely exceeded 91C for the GPU and 90-95C for the CPU, and I dunno how reliable this is, but 50-65 C for the motherboard/peripherals. So, should be fine in the temperature department and that's when stressed, and the room was nice and toasty, pretty good having a computer + heater combo that uses less then 800 w of power!
However yesterday I've suddenly been unable to run Furmark, P95 or a single game for longer then a few seconds without the PC randomly turning off. It managed to run a mobile game for about 5 minutes before it entered a continous cycle of turn off -> restart, turn off at Windows logo, restart over and over, and I've "fixed" it by shutting it down and re-plugging the 24pin cable on the motherboard and moving a stick of RAM to another slot. Now it's made it to Windows (I'm posting from the PC) but I've got the feeling it's still not reliable.
My specs are: Mobo: ASUS/MSI Z170x Gaming 5/7 (unsure) PSU: Corsair TX850 CPU: Intel I7-6700K GPU: 3rd party GTX 980 TI RAM: 32 GB (6 months old) HDDS: Samsung SSD 120 GB, purchased in I think 2015, a WD HDD purchased in 2015, and a newer Crucial SSD purchased in 2022
I mention the SSD lifespan in the title because according to HWINFO the Samsung SSD is at 35% lifespan remaining, could this be causing issues? How accurate is this info? I've heard SSDs can seemingly randomly regardless of 'life remaining'.

2024.05.16 05:48 miyaw-cat PID vs Fuzzy? How do I make a fair experimental comparision?

I plan to implement a PID algorithm on a microcontroller (Arduino) to maintain the 60C temperature cooking oil using a 1000W heater. I will be using this https://electronoobs.com/eng_arduino_tut39.php website for the set up which is basically having a triac and rectifier circuit to fire pulses to control the heating. However, will it be possible to use this same circuit for fuzzy logic which means I only change the code?
So if I implement both how do I experimentally evaluate this? Q1. if both maintain temperature at 60 then the only thing I could compare is the response to change in temperature.
Q2. Is it better to use the serial monitor to get values and then graph it on Excel to see the response but how would I get the time axis?
Q3. Is there a way to make the program run at its fastest pace for inputting readings or should I make the same time delay for both algorithms for a fair comparison?
Q4. I also find it so hard to find a video on manual PID Tuning. I'm unsure if I will ever get accurate PID Constants using formulas without practically doing it. How does the auto-tuning feature work for any industrial PID? Does it do a test run and check the response for changes?

My Roster
All you need to do is set up Heater, Audio Lure, Camera Stall on Cam02, and wet floor sign on the left door. Then you move your mouse off the screen (such as onto a second monitor) and you're good to go!
This is the max I found a couple months back for fun. But I'm wondering if there's even remotely anything else you could add to get more points.
Something I did not take into account is DeeDee but a repel will deal with her. I thought maybe SOMEHOW Golden Freddy could work? but no when ventilation goes out the camera effect doesn't happen fast enough to prevent Golden Freddy from killing you.
Maybe there's a different setup where instead of using the Heater (thus not having Orville or Rockstar Freddy) you use the Audio Lure to completely stall the 4 vent animatronics, and instead have the power generator on which might allow you to have one door closed for the whole night? I have no idea though, this is just a spitball idea.

Hello mold subreddit. First time reddit poster here. Thank you in advance for any insight you can offer to my case. In what follows, I'm going to first describe the health journey that led to my mold discoveries and questions, so please bear with me through the health stuff. I have included excessive detail in the hopes that my case might help others navigate possible mold problems.
If you don't feel like reading all the below, the tl:dr version: After struggling with unknown health issues for 15 months, I eventually linked my symptoms to my new home and subsequently discovered very high volatile organic chemical levels. I linked the VOCs to mold. I also had a mold inspection done, and the results are at the bottom of this post. The levels of mold were high in my kitchen and bathroom. However, oddly, the mold levels in the outside control group were much higher than inside. Can anyone help me understand how high my indoor mold levels are? Does anyone know whether the outdoor levels are reasonably normal? Is my specific blend of mold types implicated in neurological symptoms for others? And if anyone has dealt with mold before, do my possible mold symptoms described below seem similar to ones that you've had?
I bought my townhome in late 2022. Within four months, I started having new neurological symptoms. These symptoms started with a postural tremor in my left index finger and thumb. The same hand eventually began to appear smaller and shriveled, especially around my thumb. I also started having extremely frequent muscle twitches and jerks. These twitches take three general forms:
  1. The most common is an odd sensation of something wiggling under my skin. These primarily happen in my face, around my mouth, my butt/legs, and ribs.
  2. A pulsing regular beat in a muscle that lasts for several seconds and in some cases longer. These usually happen near joints, especially just above my elbows and knees. These are almost always visible to the naked eye.
  3. A sensation of rapid vibrating underneath the skin that lasts briefly. These vibrations are usually not visible but you can feel them if you press a hand over the area.
The twitches and apparent change to my hand have lasted for 16 months. At this point, the tissue loss in my thumb is also apparent in my forearm and upper left arm. My leg on the same side arm appears different and feels as if it has lost some muscle. I also have frequent trembling with specific muscles when I flex them. For example, sometimes when I try to hold a smile my face muscles will shake or give out. My neck tissues are especially liable to shake and vibrate when flexed, such as when doing tasks like flossing where I need to hold my lips back. On a few separate occasions, I have felt slight paralysis on one side of my face for an evening or so that then mysteriously goes away.
Aside from these neurological symptoms, I also have had frequent hoarseness, sneezing, jaw pain, and headaches. My joints often feel like they are more bony and poppy, especially in my left knee and knuckles. In addition, I've had a lot of issues with one ear on the same side as the shriveled hand. The ear had an apparent infection or cloudiness 12 months ago that went away, it then had recurrent pulsatile tinnitus, and now it just occasionally hurts at random times. There have been many other symptoms.
I have seen two neurologists, an endocrinologist, an ear-nose-throat doctor, and an orthopedic doctor. I've had countless tests done including two electromyographies (EMGs) over my whole body several months apart, an MRI, and a lyme disease blood panel. Every test has been normal, although the orthopedic doctor suggested possible thoracic outlet syndrome. The neurologist said my nerves are quite robust. My borrelia blood panel came back negative, although as a side note I did have a tick bite in early 2022 that caused a rash. I was treated for Lyme with 10 days of doxycycline. The tick bite itself still occasionally flares up red and its timing might be correlated with my symptoms.
Back to the house-- I was on a two week vacation out of state and noticed my twitches go away. Then I saw my arm become more normal sized again and the veins start to come back. I didn't feel the same joint issues, had no hoarseness, lost the headaches. All the symptoms came back as soon as I returned home, but nevertheless after that vacation and subsequent extended trips, I was able to conclude with a reasonable level of confidence that these symptoms are linked to the house. I bought an air filter and an air quality monitor that shows volatile organic chemicals, PM, formaldehyde, and C02.
Using the air quality monitor, I discovered that volatile organic chemicals (VOCs) and formaldehyde were usually abnormally high and sometimes extremely high. VOCs are usually above safety thresholds at >0.5 mg/m3 and formaldehyde >0.1 mg/m3. Sometimes, the VOC levels will stay consistently above 1.8mg/m3. I witnessed them reach a peak level of 5mg/3 in one bedroom late at night when I was woken up by a feeling of shortness of breath. I tried but failed to correlate these high VOCs to electronics, chemical sources in the home, cooking sources, heaters, and cleaning supplies. The way the VOCs would spike all over the house for no apparent reason in the evening helped me rule out some of these other possibilities. I also actively removed other sources.
Eventually, I realized that the VOCs were likely caused by mold, so-called microbial VOCs. The formaldehyde could also be explained by mold. The levels of VOCs would spike on rainy days, when the humidity was high inside, and in the evening. I don't think any other chemical source near the house would display this pattern. It took me a while to reach this conclusion because the mold issue in my house isn't too obvious. The house has always had a slight musty smell, especially if the air is stagnant for a while. The bathroom also has recurring mold growth on a tiles, in the shower, and on the various shower liners. A couple cabinets in the kitchen have always smelled musty. I didn't think these obvious signs of mold growth were that big of a deal, but given the extremely high levels of VOCs I now believe the mold has always been the issue.
Once I realized it was likely mold, I started noticing all the signs. The house is about 100 years old. The prior two owners of this house each moved out within five months. The house is not ventilated except from windows. It sits in a damp area near where water puddles up in the yard. It's mostly solid brick, so the house frame has a way of trapping hot air and releasing a lot of moisture onto the floors each evening. There's also a cheap layer of vinyl flooring throughout that could easily cover up a massive mold problem underneath. Finally, the townhome sits on top of an old shared crawl space that was used as a furnace. It has had known water puddling issues for which reason a vapor guard was installed underneath my first floor.
So, I had a mold inspection done. The results are at the bottom of this post. The bathroom results might be diluted because I left the window open the night before. Nevertheless, both my kitchen and bathroom had mold detected at levels between 6480 - 12,300 spores/m3. Oddly, the outdoor levels of all of the molds were often much higher, 3-6 fold higher than the levels indoors. It was a humid day, but it still seems odd for me that an outdoor space could have higher levels than indoors.
On later reading about my specific mold spores and neurological symptoms, I noticed that the two most elevated groups of spores in my house, ascospores and basidiospores, are the same class as all of the funguses known to have colonized the nervous system of ALS patients according to this published article. Those specific types of fungus found in the nerves of ALS patients are Candida, Malassezia, Fusarium, Botrytis, Trichoderma, and Cryptococcus. It naturally led me to wonder if my chronic als-type neurological symptoms could be caused by some latent fungal infection in my body that gradually improves when I'm away from the home.
Wrapping up this thread, I have a bunch of questions.

Low EMI PCB Design: Review Request
Hello everyone, so for a project of mine I designed a PCB that consists of 3 DC DC cpnverters (28VDC to 12VDC, 28VDC to 5VDC, ) 2 GPIO expanders (SPI), 3 Dual motor drivers, 3 current monitors (I2C), 3 load switches (to turn on heaters) and an IMU (I2C).
All of these are connected to a Raspberry Pi which communicates with the PCB using both SPI and I2C. The layer stackup is as follows:
4 layers:
Top layer : GND - Red Middle layer (Inner 1) : Signal / Power - Green
Middle layer (Inner 2) : Signal / Power - Yellow
Bottom layer : GND - Blue
I have added TVS diodes for protection againt Electrostatic Discharge.
As the board needs to be designed for Low EMI, I added an EMI filter (consisting of a ferrte bead, capacitors and a resistor) at the outputs of the DCDC converters, the design was based on a recommendation found here: https://www.analog.com/media/en/technical-documentation/application-notes/AN-1368.pdf
If anyone has worked on PCBs where ESD protection using TVS diodes is implemented, or on PCBs that should have a low EMI signature, I would be really grateful for your advice.
As I have designed PCBs before but not really a board with scrict EMI limitations, I would be grateful if you could have a look and give me some suggestions and recommendations to improve the design. I am not really sure about my approach regarding the EMI Filter, if it really is beneficial or not.

There are two sets of heat pump and water heater, one set on the main panel and one set on a subpanel. So, I need 2 emporias or em's.
Any thoughts?
Additionally, while writing this, I realized it would be nice to remotely turn one of the water heaters on and off if there's a way to get the em to do that, or dark horse option that I didn't consider.

I just recently added a secondary monitor in a vertical configuration and it is a game changer. Highly recommend to add a second monitor in a vertical configuration if you are able to do so. This makes daily computer usage 10X more efficient. I love to have multiple tabs and windows up when I browse the computer. It’s nice to have a monitor dedicated to one thing such as reading news or emails and using my main monitor for work.

Sure Samsonite isn’t Gucci, but they do provide decent quality leather backpacks at an affordable cost. I was able to get this at a lower cost during the beginning of the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic as the demand for traveling plummeted. This backpack has held up in decent shape through regular usage such as bringing materials from home to work or to the coffee shop.
Work great for short business trips as there is plenty of room to pack clothes, laptop, toiletries, and other miscellaneous items. The Samson Leather Backpack is a quality item and will last for a long period of time. No issues so far with my backpack.

Even though the world is becoming more digital, you will still need to rely on printing documents out and sending them from time to time. The Canon PIXMA TR4720 is a basic printer that meets the need for printing out some items for work or business.

  • Can have issues and difficulty setting up and pairing wirelessly with laptop or internet

Hello! I have two betta tanks, one 3.5gal and one 5gal. I just moved back home for the summer and my house temperature is usually around 70-74F. We don’t turn the AC on until June ish, so we keep the windows open during the day. I have two different types of heaters, I think one is from Petco (in my 3.5gal) and the other is from Petsmart (in my 5gal). My tanks are both teetering between like 78-84F. Neither of these have like the control switches to set a temperature because they’re both cheaper heaters I’ve had for a while. It’s making me nervous bc I think I lost my old betta, Milo, to a dysfunctional heater. I can’t manually set the temperature to something else, and I also don’t know if I should just unplug the heaters in general?
Extra info: My 5gal tank is about ten years old and the lightbulb acts as a source of heat too. This tank is by my window, but my window blinds are always shut bc the sun beams on my room during the day. My AC vent is on the floor next to my 5gal as well, but it is currently off. My 3.5gal tank sits on the other side of my room and the light does not give off heat.
What should I do? I work a full time job this summer so I can’t always monitor the temperature during the day. I’ve unplugged the 5gal heater for now bc his tank has set at 84F today and I don’t want him to bake. Please give suggestions. I can upgrade my heaters but I also can’t go too crazy on them as they work well in other circumstances. I don’t recall this being too much of an issue last year. Please help! I don’t want them to bake :(

Came back home from work to find that there was some significant discoloration on my boy Frankie's fins that I hadn't noticed a couple of days ago. He's undergone stress in the past, like getting trapped behind my filter before and almost dying from that, but he's bounced back. First thing I did was check water quality and numbers came back fine... not sure what I'm seeing and if this is a monitor and remain vigilant thing, or if I need to start treating the water ASAP.

AEG attorney Jessica Stebbins Bina is doing the direct examination.
Stacy Walker was the Associate Choreographer for the This Is It tour. She's a choreographer & director, has worked with MJ, Gaga, Britney Spears, Usher & others. Stacy Walker said she 1st worked w/ MJ in 96 on his movie, Ghosts, a job that she said was the break of her career.
"He never made a music video, only made movies," Walker said
On the "History" tour, Walker worked about 6 months. She was one of the two girl dancer in "The Way You Make Me Feel" :
"I feel it's my song"
History tour: dancers rehearsed by themselves in LA then went to France, rehearsed in a studio at Disneyland. MJ showed up one or two times. Walker didn't remember if MJ had a doctor on staff while on the History tour. She never saw any signs of drug abuse, saw MJ on stage -amazing!
Walker told the jury Travis Payne was the main choreographer for This Is It. She thinks she was an independent contractor hired by AEG. Walker said the casting of dancers began in April 2009. She was the associated choreographer, got direction from Payne/Ortega and Michael
Walker said for the This is It tour a lot of choreography was done many years ago. The only new one was "Drill" and everyone worked together. "Drill" was like a soldier marching dancing, Walker said.
"MJ said we can't use guns, since it was not good for the kids," Walker recalled
Walker said during rehearsals for This Is It in April/May 09, MJ was there occasionally, but they were teaching dancers the choreography
During rehearsals at the Forum, MJ was supposed to be there more often, Walker said. Payne worked w/ MJ, she was in charge of the dancers
Walker: "I can remember being frustrated at times, he (MJ) wasn't coming when we were hoping he would."
"I wasn't shocked he wasn't coming, I was irritated, but I wasn't shocked," Walker said, noting that maybe MJ wanted to stay with his kids
Walker said she never saw MJ sick. She said he seemed normal to her, he was much thinner, but she never felt he was acting intoxicated
"He looked much thinner to me than in 97"
She said, but she doesn't remember noticing a dramatic difference between April and June of 09.
Walker: "I remember 1 night he excused himself to his room, wasn't feeling well. He didn't say anything, it was a general understanding"
Walker remembered MJ wearing jackets/layers but didn't think of him being insanely cold:
"Different artists like different temperatures. He wore a lot of jackets, I assumed he was cold but he never said anything. I never saw him shivering. He just wore a lot of jackets"
She said she recalled one incident in which Jackson may have appeared groggy or drugged, but she said she couldn't remember whether she witnessed or heard about it from others on the show
Jessica Bina: "Did you ever see Michael Jackson drink any alcohol?" Walker: "No"
"My only concern was that he was really thin and I wish he ate more," Walker recalled
Walker got emotional when she said she wasn't looking for things that could be wrong w/ him at the time. "I wish I was," she said.
When she talked about his last two rehearsals, Walker cried saying he was great.
"He was great, I finally saw what I wanted to see. He was great, very bratty and sassy as he was. He was just a funny guy at times," Walker said
Walker said she called her mom after the rehearsal and asked her to buy a ticket for the opening and she did. "It was great." Walker said she was so encouraged she called her mother and asked her to buy a ticket for opening night in London and she did.
"It was great. I was very excited and relieved and hopeful", she testified

Bina:"Any doubts he could perform the tour?"
Walker: "Not after those two nights" (June 23 and 24)
She said despite Jackson missing multiple rehearsals, she was convinced based on his performances the last two days of his life that he was ready for the series of shows.
On June 25, Walker was rehearsing Michael's disappearing act. She said Payne called saying he heard on the radio MJ was in the hospital. Walker:
"I remember telling them don't worry, everything will be fine. I didn't believe, I thought that everything was going to be ok"

Bina: "When you heard Michael passed away, were you surprised?" Walker: "Yes, it was shocking, 12 hours ago he did "Beat It" and "Thriller" "
When asked if Walker was familiar with the name Dr. Conrad Murray, she said yes, but she never met him or knew who he was prior to June 25
Travis Payne had a loving, trusting relationship with MJ, Walker testified. Payne would go over to MJ's house around 1PM to work. Choreographer Travis Payne, she said, would often rehearse with Jackson in another room or at his rented mansion
Walker said she felt MJ was more open this time around. In Ghosts she said they didn't talk at all, but that he was so nice to everybody. Walker said she remembers telling MJ about McDonald's - he had never been and she told him he had to go
Regarding the This Is It tour, Walker doesn't know if MJ was excited.
"He always seemed happy, he liked to watch the dancers dance"
Walker said though MJ was the nicest person ever, they were not friends.
"Guarded is a strong word, he let people see Michael Jackson, not Michael"

"I just never in a million years thought he'd leave us or pass away. It just never crossed my mind", Walker said crying, "I was frustrated but never thought that would happen"
Walker didn't remember MJ having cold/stomach flu.
"I've seen people that were drunk or high and he didn't appear to be that way"
Jackson cross
Planitff's attorney Kevin Boyle did the cross examination. Boyle asked Walker if her job was to focus on dancers and not MJ. She said "Yes"
Boyle: "And it wasn't your job to look if he was sick?" Walker: "It was not"
She also agreed that it wasn't her job to supervise Dr. Murray or observe MJ's health. Walker didn't have info if Dr. Murray gave him Propofol
Walker: "I was relieved because he was there, he was going full out. Last 2 rehearsals it was the first time we saw everything come together"
Boyle plays clip of film Ghosts. Walker said MJ was pretty impressive, played 5 different roles.
"Probably one of the hardest jobs I had. He was a huge risk taker, was very innovative as a dancer and choreographer," Walker opined, saying he was an excellent dancer, confident
Walker said MJ and her were not friends, they had a work relationship. Walker never went to his house, had dinner or social interaction. MJ never told Walker about his health, never discussed Propofol use since they didn't talk about that stuff
Boyle: "Did you ever see Michael covered in blankets watching rehearsal with heaters?" Walker: "I never saw heaters or blankets"
Walker heard MJ had problems with prescription drugs from the press. She also heard about the sleeping problems. Walker said she knew Ortega kept on Michael about eating and thinks they had a massage therapist come in for him
"I've seen other artists bring chefs, masseuses, trainers sometimes," Walker said. The idea of bringing a doctor on tour didn't surprise her

Walker:"Michael didn't want to change the choreography, it wasn't broken, so why change it?" She thought it was going to be a great show
"Did Mr. Phillips ever tell you he instructed Mr. Gongaware in writing to take out footage that (made Jackson) look like a skeleton?", Boyle asked
"He didn't tell me that", Walker replied.
Christopher Rogers Testimony
Jackson direct
Dr. Christopher Rogers, a deputy medical examiner, began testifying last week, but was interrupted to take other witnesses
Rogers testifies that he found no conditions during Michael Jackson's autopsy that would affect his long-term survival. Death was not due to trauma and was not caused by natural disease.
"He died of acute Propofol toxicity," Dr. Rogers said

Koskoff: "Did you find any factors that could impact his long-term survival?"
Dr. Rogers: "From the autopsy, no I did not"
AEG cross
AEG lawyer Kathryn Cahan did the bulk of the afternoon questioning of Rogers. She focused on the prescription drug aspect of Jackson's death. In response to a Cahan question, Rogers says Jackson's death was considered a 'polypharmacy death'. That means it involved multiple drugs. Rogers noted that propofol was the main drug that killed Jackson, but told jury that other drugs (benzodiazepines) were present.
Dr. Rogers said Michael's doctor, Dr. Murray, made a statement to the police saying he wasn't breathing but he felt a faint pulse
Cahan also asked Dr. Rogers whether he knew about other doctors treating Jackson before his death. Rogers says "Yes". Rogers says he became aware that dermatologist Arnold Klein was treating Jackson. Dr. Rogers said he was uncertain who MJ's primary physician was, he understood he was seeing several doctors
Cahan also asked whether he ever concluded that any other doctors contributed to Jackson's death.
"I don't believe so", Rogers said.
Cahan also asks about Jackson's weight at the time of his death. He weighed 136 pounds & was 5'9 with a Body Mass Index of 20.1, Rogers tells jury. Rogers testified that Michael Jackson's Body Mass Index was within the normal range. A BMI figure below 18.5 would be underweight.
"He looked thin in comparison to most people", Rogers said.
He says Jackson did not appear emaciated. Dr. Rogers said Jackson's body didn't have characteristics of someone who starved to death or had anorexia. Rogers said
"Jackson's health appeared excellent"

Cahan: "Did you rule out starvation as a possible cause of death?"
Dr. Rogers: "Yes"
Cahan: "Was his general health excellent?"
Dr. Rogers: "As far as the autopsy goes, yes"
There was more testimony about the condition of Jackson's lungs, which were damaged in a way that might lead to pneumonia or other problems.
Autopsy report:
  • MJ had lung damage, which wasn't cause of death but made this individual especially susceptible to adverse health effects
Dr. Rogers said Michael had a bit of degeneration of the lower thoracic spine, degenerative osteoarthritis of lower lumbar. Not sure how painful it was
Rogers testified he was interested in role of prescription drugs in Jackson's death based on finding propofol and other meds at the scene. Dr. Rogers said he had some concerns about drug abuse due to the investigator's report listing all the medications found at the house. He said he didn't find any opiates, opioids or Demerol in MJ's body. He had 1 other case of Propofol overdose, a person in the medical field. Dr. Rogers testified that propofol shouldn't be given in a home setting & when someone is sedated they need to be continuously monitored. Propofol, he said
"caused his death by sedation. Essentially, he was so sedated his vital functions stopped."
Jackson re-direct
Plaintiff's attorney Michael Koskoff asks Rogers about whether hospital treatments might have added weight to Jackson's body. Koskoff doesn't state how much weight might have been added to Jackson based on IV treatments by paramedics and hospital staff. Under questioning by Koskoff, Rogers said that by the time the Michael was weighed, intravenous fluids had been administered to him in the ambulance and at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, which could have increased his weight
Rogers did say that Jackson's body had some fat, but that most of his weight appeared to be in his muscles. Rogers testified that Jackson didn't have much fat on him
"I don't know what his normal weight would be," Dr. Rogers expressed.
Rogers testified that Jackson's organs didn't show any sign of lasting damage. With that, he was done testifying

Travis Payne took the witness stand and began explaining his experience. Payne worked with Paula Abdul, Brandy, Diana Ross, Mick Jagger, Marilyn Manson & MJ among others.
He tells the jury about working on tours, music videos & video games.Payne worked on the Michael Jackson Experience video game. In the game, he taught players Jackson's dance moves. Payne first worked with Jackson on the "Remember the Time" film/music video. He was a dancer in the film. He then worked as a dancer and choreographer on Jackson's Dangerous tour. By that point, he'd developed a rapport with Jackson. He helped choreograph moves for the songs 'Dangerous" and "Jam" on the tour, Payne testified. He says it was a goal since being a child to be a dancer and work with Michael Jackson. The Dangerous tour was a realization of that dream.
"On the Dangerous tour, I was really very ecstatic. I was working with my idol",choreographer Travis Payne said.
During Dangerous his relationship with MJ grew. Payne said all he knew was that pain was an ongoing issue for MJ since the Pepsi commercial accident
Payne worked with MJ in Ghosts in 1995/96, then History tour, other tv shows & commercials and culminated with This Is It
On the HIStory tour, Payne said Jackson rehearsed both with and without his backup dancers.Rehearsals for the History tour was very extensive, Payne said. He was involved with selecting dancers, ideas for costumes and whatever was needed. Dancers would get up to speed in the beginning, MJ was good at giving space to learn
Travis Payne also worked with Jackson on One Night Only show that was canceled after incident in which Jackson fainted on stage.
Payne: "Michael had an incident, appeared to faint, we were asked to leave the theater and were told later the show was not going to happen"
Payne worked privately with Jackson on This Is It rehearsals. He says he didn't see any signs of drug abuse at this time. The choreographer also testifies that he never saw Jackson drink alcohol or take any medications. He says he saw no signs of addiction. Payne said he never saw MJ take drugs, medication or alcohol
"Nothing."
Payne said he knew there were physicians tending to MJ but dermatologist Dr. Arnold Klein and nurse Debbie Rowe were the only medical professionals of Jackson's that he met
Payne said he worked with Kenny Ortega for many years. Payne and Ortega were in Vegas when Michael called Ortega asking to work on a new project. Payne didn't personally meet with MJ until after the press conference announcement. He said he was excited to work with him again
After mid-afternoon break, Payne resumed testifying about how he came to work on This Is It.
"I believe he missed performing. I believe he missed direct contact with his fans", Travis Payne says about why Jackson wanted to tour
Payne said he knew Michael was excited about the tour and his children, to share this experience with them. Payne first met with MJ in late March/2009
"He looked fine to me health wise, I thought he was thinner from what I have seen him in the past, but nothing alarming," Payne recalled
Payne said he found out that his role would not include dancing, he would choreograph and would be the associate director in This Is It. Payne testified This Is It would be different from Jackson's previous tours. AEG would be a partner, not a sponsor. The choreographer said Jackson explained to him that having AEG would be a good thing. Payne said this new way of doing business would revolutionize the way tours were done
Payne attended an April meeting at Michael's home. Said he saw no signs of impairment, drug abuse by the singer
Payne also testified that Jackson was involved in almost every detail of his scheduled shows, such as costume, wardrobe and set design, choosing the dancers and the bandleader.
Payne: "Everything started with Mr. Jackson, always. As his support team, we would contribute with ideas. MJ had the final word"
They auditioned 5,000 dancers, Michael chose the final ones & the band director also
Payne spent several minutes describing details of the This Is It show, including a torch and costume that would light up. Jackson wanted a torch in the Italian Baroque design. Actually, he wanted two, in case one broke, Payne tells jury. Payne also showed an email in which he described a costume for "Billie Jean", in which the clothing material would light up. When Payne was describing the illuminated "Billie Jean" costume, he looked out into the audience and nodded at Katherine Jackson. Bina shows an email Payne wrote. It said MJ was very persistent about having a torch, a concept that meant a lot to Michael.
Payne was then asked about his one-on-one rehearsals with Jackson at the singer's home. These were scheduled for 5 days a week.Payne said they started rehearsing after the press conference & stopped the day before Michael died. He spoke with him every day. MJ told Payne he expected him to be in every show. He wanted Payne to take notes to make sure the show was as perfect as possible.
"Customarily, we would see each other every day," Payne said
Payne worked with Jackson individually almost every day for the last three months of the singer's life. He ate lunches with Jackson, saying Michael's appetite varied daily. The choreographer said that as show time approached, MJ missed some rehearsals with the full crews, causing production to worry whether he would be ready
Payne said MJ's dancing seemed fine to him. He said they were working on things created decades before to make them age appropriate & dynamic. MJ was able to perform many of his familiar dance moves, although they had to be modified because the singer was 50 years old and not as limber as he had been decades earlier. He said Jackson was tired for some of the sessions and that
"some days would be better than others"
Payne and associate choreographer Stacy Walker said they were working to modify Jackson's dance routine to his age.
"I was realizing that's Michael Jackson, but he's not 20 or 30 any more. He's 50 and how is that going to be? We have to figure it out", Payne testified
"Drill" was the last thing they worked on together, Payne said. Michael had a great love for military precision
"He seemed very tired, we all were," Payne said
Payne testified that production wanted Michael to be more in attendance with all the cast, rather than just rehearsing by himself at his house.
Payne: "because there was inconsistency with MJ appearing at the rehearsal, production was concerned they would not meet their goals"
AEG attorney Bina asked Payne whether he thought Jackson could have finished the This Is It show. Payne said "Yes"
Payne said Jackson's goal was to sing every song live for This Is It, which he had not done in the past on every tour. This was a goal he set for himself. Michael had used vocal-assist tracks on previous shows, he said. By June 25, Payne said MJ had not developed the goal of singing and dancing at the same time but the choreographer thought he could have pulled it off.
After jurors left, Judge Palazuelos said she sustained plaintiff's objection and will not allow defense to use Dr. Murray's interview w/ LAPD. In it, Dr. Murray said he was hired by Michael to be paid by AEG. Plaintiffs said it's hearsay and judge agreed.

Heater control loop causing desktop screen to flicker
I know that what I’ve built here is literally the opposite of a PLC system, but this sub is the most relevant that I could think of for the issue I’m having.
Each of these temperature controllers trigger a corresponding relay on the back of the panel, which are switching a 110VAC resistive heater cord.
I recently changed one of the heating elements and ever since then, the desktop screen flickers when that heater is activated. You can see that the flicker is in sync with the output light on the bottom right controller labeled “after heater” (which is the element that I replaced).
At first I thought the heater was just pulling an outrageous current on computer circuit, but I moved the computer and monitor power to a circuit on a completely different breaker box and it was still happening.
Any ideas? This has me pretty stumped. Thank you for your time.

I’m new to the subreddit. I found a G4 tower while cleaning my parents’ crawlspace. Still boots and works perfectly.
I was shocked how much MacOS just feels exactly the same. A few bells and whistles missing but overall it didn’t feel like I was using such an old computer.
That impression was broken a bit when I tried to pull data onto a USB stick and copying a couple GBs of files and photos took over an hour! I guess that’s a big area of improvement. Also noticed very slow load for a word file with a few low-res embedded JPGs in it.
Anyway. Besides being cool to look at, I can’t seem to find much use for it. Do these things have value? I feel like the case at the very least could be a cool mod. The back panel didn’t look like a standard MOBO-compatible case.
How would I go about selling/ giving away?I feel like this is too Niche for kijiji or Craigslist. I also found a compatible monitor and a couple old Mac accessories along with it. Would love if it found a loving home. I’m based in the Toronto Area.
I’m familiar with wiping a computer for gifting. But newer computers can download and install their own systems over internet. Do I need a dvd or something to wipe this guy?
Overall such a cool find and blast from the past. Thanks for any info.

A few days ago I cleared a evap system related code ("small leak"), and have been driving for a few days at varying speeds and conditions. Today, using my CarPhix bluetooth OBD scanner, I ran an I/M readiness check. All available parameters seem OK, but just thought I'd post a screenshot of the app and see what others think. Hello everybody,
I have a situation that I am just not following anymore and could use some more insight from people.
When I first got togheter with my girlfriend she had a 100 liter tank (26 gallon) with about 200 endlers in there. Broken light, broken filter, probably not cleaned since the time of the dinosaurs. However, the guppies were breeding faster then they were diying.
Her dad asked me if I could make something cool out of it, so obviously i agreed, who would turn down a free scape?
I rehomed about 90% of the endlers (i know, there's still way to many) and then me and my girlfriend went shopping. We used a sand bottom, some nice pieces of driftwood, some rocks she picked up in a river in Norway and a bunch of plants. We installed new led lighting, got the filter working again and added proper media and installed a heater.
Next, we let it sit like that with the few left over endlers for about 3 weeks while carefully monitoring parameters. Everything was looking great, the guppies were looking better than ever and the plants were growing like weeds.
Then came the next step of adding some more fish. Over the course of about 2 weeks we added harlequin rasbora's, panda corydoras, 2 clown pleco's, 2 gourami's, 2 male guppies that she really liked, a few nerites and a few amano shrimps.
Everything went great again untill it didn't. I noticed the harlequins holding their fins closed and just not looking right. There were also some white patches on their skin. I treated for bacterial infections but this didn't work. Everything became sick. Next I used a broad spectrum medication but again this didn't help. 2 weeks later everything was dead, both the old and the new fish. The only survivors where the snails, the shrimps and one male guppy. So yeah, obvioualy that was a serious illness. But well, shit happens, we would just try again.
We waited 4 weeks. The plants were still growing, some algea was developing but that's to be expected. The snails, shrimp and the guppy were all doing great. Parameters were perfect.
We introduced 6 harlequins as well as 3 tylomelania's to try again. They did great for a few days before they started dropping dead without any obvious signs of illness. In a few days only 1 was left, untill he too perished after a few more days. The guppy was still fine.
Fast forward to today and the guppy is losing pieces of his tail and just overall not looking all too great, i am currently doing another course of the broad spectrum but this doesn't seem to be helping.
I am honestly completely lost. My girlfriend was super excited about her new fish. She did a 30% water change every week, kept the glass clean, pruned the plants. She was super dilligent with her care. So she's obviously bummed out.
I am currently considering installing a uv unit in the filter. Just to try and kill whatever it is that's killing the fish. I have thought about some chemicals leaking from something but the snails and shrimp are doing fine and as far as i know they are a lot more sensitive to those kind of things.
Is there anybody who could provide me with some insight? I am completely lost on this one. If you need anymore information just ask.
