Junk Food Vegetarians and Vegans, yes, that's a thing too. We like greasy foods, snacks and beer. But we like them without protein from sources that had eyes at any point, if you get the hint. We pass the salad and go for the falafel with fries. Yes, we know what calories are, we just don't count them, so please take your healthy-whatever to a sub that cares.

2024.05.15 19:12 LadyOfTheWild Any watermelon juicing tips?

I've been making this recipe the last few days - https://www.medicalmedium.com/blog/watermelon-refresher
There it mentions juicing the watermelon rind. I never knew watermelon rind was edible until I saw it as an ingredient in the Adrenal Fight or Flight Stabilizer. That got me wondering, if people are making watermelon juice, would they include the rind, or would they juice it separately.
I have found that blending and straining the watermelon is so much faster and easier than putting it through the juicer.
I wasn't sure if I should blend it with the skin on though, or if I should keep that separate to put through the juicer.
What about if you're making watermelon juice for day 9 of the Advanced 3:6:9, would you include the juice of the rind?
I tried juicing watermelon rind and I was amazed how green it was and how much juice came out of it.
I was also wondering if anyone has any tips on the best or easiest or fastest way to cut up your watermelon to put it in the blender.
This recipe is also yummy - https://www.medicalmedium.com/blog/watermelon-orange-turmeric-and-ginger-juice

2024.05.15 18:00 SherbertLopside Kulfi with saffron milk or water

Hi there! I am a middle school Family and Consumer Science (home economics) teacher. I want to try making Kulfi with my students to serve at an after school event. Many recipes call for saffron milk or water, but I can't find a recipe for saffron milk or water. How do you make it (ratio of saffron to liquid please)?
Does anyone have an easy kulfi recipe you love?
Can you see any issues with using freeze pop bags? It seems like the easiest/most economical way to serve.
Thanks so much!

2024.05.15 09:46 WaywardCosmonaut Struggling with dietary restrictions

I live in America, grew up in rural country, and some of my family is hispanic and consume a lot of pork. I have a big waste nothing mentality, I always was told to buy the cheapest of everything. I dont know if Id call myself a revert yet, but I am at least trying as a lot of the Quran's messaging resonates with me strongly.
I decided to try and cut pork first, it seemed the easiest. I dont like a lot of pork anyway, short of bacon and sausage, so it seemed easy. I'll do really good for a couple weeks and then I just forget and buy something with pork in it, remember its pork, and then feel guilty if I just let it go to waste. Or if someone in the family makes something with pork for dinner, I feel bad turning it down, it feels rude.
Ive looked into buying halal meat and its more expensive where I live. If I want to buy stew meat its closer to $8 a pound whereas if I go to Sams Club its $5 or $6 per pound. Im worried its a financial cost I wont be able to afford long term.
Also, the alcohol part. I dont drink alcohol, I dont like it, but its very common in cooking. Lots of dishes use wine and Im not really sure how to adapt these recipes to be halal?
And thats the big part is adapting recipes to be halal. If I want to make a dish that generally uses pork sausage, what could I replace it with (such as biscuits & gravy)?
Im just struggling a bit with breaking lifelong habits and norms and I feel bad about it. I just dont know if anyone has tips on breaking said habits, adapting recipes to be halal, or words of encouragement.
Thanks.

2024.05.14 15:01 Effective_Notice_563 Which buttercream recipe should I use?

I love American buttercream but I usually find it giving me all types of issues (usually having to do with bubbles or being too soft). I just like how easy it is to make. I don’t looove the sweetness but I do try to cut it back with salt. I find that many times when I’m making cakes (which is my passion and joy!!) the buttercream will make end up feeling like I’m failing and just really stressed out. I don’t know why this happens bc American BC is supposed to be the easiest to work with right? Or am I wrong? Anyway I want to know what buttercreams you guys would recommend orrr what buttercream do pros use so they’re not wasting time trying to smooth out the BC or firm it up again and again. I have tried SMBC and I just didn’t like that shiny almost greasy look and also it wasn’t sweet enough for me lol and also I just do not want to always have to have eggs or egg whites on hand. I want a reliable, smooth, sweet but not soooo sweet buttercream (without having to use eggs!). Please help so I can make more cakes and stop wasting time on making the frosting 😭 whether it’s a bake blog, TikTok video, YouTube, instagram, recipe in a book, recipe by a master baker etc etc, gimme what you got!

2024.05.14 10:29 loopuleasa Ultimate guid on how to farm everything in V Rising, the best way in 1.0 (Source: we beat the game in duo pvp)

So,
EARLY TO MIDGAME:
The early and midgame is easy in terms of resources, only thing to mention here is to get floors asap using vendors and coins. At LEAST get Workshop, Forge and Tailor.
One other tip early game, prioritize seeds when you can, and DONT make too many vermin salves, use a lot of blood rose brews instead once you get it going. You will need fiber and bone in bulk.
You will need it for bulk thread/wool/ghostyarn and unlocking full tech tree in paper press easily using the pollen+fiber method (full showcase in my video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sshsCViuvmg )
MIDGAME:
Midgame iron is solved by going bear form to the iron cave (the golems dont attack animals, and you are a bear, an animal)
If you need scrolls get a paper press and use the pollen and coarse thread method
If you need wool use pollen to make coarse thread into wool at weaver.
Just speedrun bosses to get the tech.
ENDGAME:
Afterwards, we get in the endgame grind.
Here are the materials and how to best get them:
FINAL ENDGAME:
- GET ALL SERVANTS UP AND GEARED. On a duo server, we have two castles with 5x2=10 servants all geared up and ready to go. They solve all our material needs now. For both defense and missions, I like to go this servant setup (1 mortium, 2 silverlight, 1 dunley, 1 gloomrot)
Enjoy.

Throwaway account as my husband and In-laws are follow my main. I, 29 F, have been married to my husband, 30 m, who I'll call Alex. Alex and I met in college during our freshman year. We started off as just friends, and got married seven months ago. I've gotten along with his family, but we aren't super close but we're friendly enough. The problem is that Alex has begun to make me incredibly uncomfortable.
Firstly, he's begun to ask me who I'm meeting with, where, what we plan on doing, how long every single time I leave the house without him. At first, I just thought he was being protective and a good partner just in case something happened, but then he started checking my phone after the visits, vetting and researching each of my friends as well.
He also has been pursuing me to link my bank account to his, as he's "in charge" of the finances when he was perfectly fine with keeping them separate before. We fight about it almost every day.
Finally, yesterday when he was preparing to go on a work trip for two weeks in California, he demanded I wear a tracker so he could keep and eye on me while he's gone. I can't do this anymore, I feel like I'm suffocating and his family who I've spoken to about his worrying behavior just said he's being careful and protective as a good husband should. I need to gather my things together and find a way to be gone before he gets home without tipping him off.
He's always threatened that if he ever found me cheating on him he'd turn in divorce papers the same day. He keeps a filled out copy in his desk. I'm going to submit those the day I leave. But there's so much to do, bergen finding a new place to live, seeing if my job has any transfers available, packing and moving in two weeks. His return flight May 11th, so I need to move quickly. I'm posting here because I don't have any close family, and I can't risk dragging my friends into this as we share the same friends.I just needed a place to vent, and ask if anyone has any advice on the easiest and safest way to do this?
Edit: oh my god you guys are amazing! I never even thought to not use his divorce papers. I'll check for cameras before I start any packing or prepping. I may also shred his divorce papers just in case and look into getting a lawyer for myself. I'm in a no fault divorce state, that much I so remember which will help. I'll update again when I know more. The tracker he wants me to use is a small clip to put on the belt or waistband. I'll wear it unless I'm going or doing something related to me leaving. No pets yet thankfully.
Update Apr 28, 2024
So I've gotten a lot of support and helpful advice along with questions I thought I should clarify before I proceed with the update. Some asked why I'd be 'hiding' things from Alex regarding going out and who I'm meeting with. I don't, and I have nothing to hide. However when he begins to then double check everything I tell him with the other people there right down to each person I talked to and what I said. Did I send any text msgs, did I order food, how much did I eat, that's when it started to feel like I was slowly being pushed into a corner. It didn't start that bad, but gradually grew worse overtime.
All of the Reddit subs my in-law's families are part of are related gardening and diy so I highly doubt they'll see this, if so by the time they do, I'll hopefully be gone. I talked to my job and explained things to my manager. And they promised to look into openings in other states to see if they could get me into one. They'll have an update on that in three days. I trust that my bank account us secured, considering he's tried to get into it before and failed. I found one camera in the kitchen, another in the living room and one in our bedroom. As such, I've left them in place for now and done all other planning, either in the bathroom pretending I'm taking a bath.
I'm honestly staying away from the domestic violence services as my sister-in-law is unfortunately higher up in those considering she volunteers there and I have a feeling if I did show up there, they would know in a heartbeat. I can't look for apartments until I get the update from my work, but either or i'm still gonna be leaving the state. The day before I do I will be changing my number carrier and wiping my laptop and all of his electronics before I do.
I've met with 2 lawyers so far and had them look over the paperwork. My husband had prepared and both said that it did it have some clauses in it. That could have caused me some trouble down the line. What alarmed all of us close the fact that several of those clauses dealt with future children, and not as a hypothetical. Like several hair suggested I have a feeling he fully intended on getting me pregnant to keep me trapped and tied to him.
There are 3 other locations. My job could send me to and I have. As a precaution Begun looking into all 3 cities and housing in the areas. Just in case one of those, this is the one they send me to. Even if they don't have an opening that they can push me into then I will just have to quit, move and figure things out on my own. I have enough money to live and survive for a few months until I can pick up another job.
Unfortunately all of our friends are mutuals and would likely be unaware of the consequences of saying or sharing anything I do or say with my husband. I don't have any surviving close family and obviously my in laws are not a good resource to rely on. I am on my own unfortunately, other than the wonderful bonds, i've begun to make here. I will update again if I get more information or something else happens. Otherwise all update when my work gets back to me. I do plan on leaving before he returns, though. Just to make sure that i'm not anywhere near here at that time.
Update 2 Apr 30, 2024
Good news! My work has an opening I qualify for that will not only shift me across the country, but also comes with a salary increase as well. I've started telling my in laws and friends that I'm planning a surprise outing for when my husband gets back for just the two of us. This way, people don't give me odd looks if they see me out and about. I've even gone as far as asking MIL to show me his favorite recipes.
Meanwhile, I've found a moving company that while small is willing to work in a storm. The reason is in five days, we're supposed to get hit with a large storm front. I plan to shut off the breaker and say we lost power if he asks just as several people here suggested and even send him a short clip of the storm.
I will have all of my stuff moved that afternoon, and I will be flying out once the weather has cleared enough to do so. I have a lawyer who will push my divorce through, and I've filled out the necessary paperwork so that I don't have to be here for it. I'm not suing for assets or alimony and I've shredded his divorce papers as well. I've set up a cheap payphone plan through cricket until this is all said and done at which point I will find a new carrier, number and phone. This one is being wiped and left behind.
My laptop is provided by my work, and the IT department inspected it thoroughly and it was clean thankfully. No other electronic aside from my laptop and new phone will be coming with me. If alex needs to talk to me, he can do it through my lawyer. Not sure if anything else will happen, my fingers are crossed that he doesn't think anythings amiss until after I leave - and I'm not turning the breaker back on when I do. He can when he gets home. My work is covering the plane ticket, so that at least is one expense I don't have to finagle in.
Update 3 May 7, 2024
Update 3: I have 2 weeks to get away from my husband.
It's been a busy week, but I've gotten so much done. Firstly, I am now out of the house and am currently in a hotel while I look for an apartment. It's a big city, bustling with people no matter where you look. We had a pretty bad storm system hit back home, that actually lasted two days. High winds, thunder, lightning and even hail everywhere. I didn't take much from the house, my documents, clothes and important sentimental items. I left all of the furniture and electronics behind. I cleaned the house top to bottom and took pictures on my phone so he couldn't claim I damaged anything when I left.
My lawyer has already started divorce proceedings, and my husband will be served on the 8th. His plane is due to land early morning, and the sheriff will be there at the house waiting for him. He is very much about public appearances and reputation. My lawyer will be calling him as well to inform him that I am more than willing to air out everything to the public about his actions if it means securing my freedom from him. I will go to court as long as I must to get this pushed through.
I haven't told our friends or his in-laws yet, I will do that while he is on the flight to prevent him from getting wind of it before he's handed the divorce papers. I will be calling around and explaining why we're getting divorced, to try and prevent him from twisting this into somehow being my fault. I don't want him trying to claim I had an affair or something so I want to get the truth out before he can twist this.
I'm... doing okay. I'm tired, but yet I feel almost jittery and off-kilter. I keep looking over my shoulder and monitoring what I say even when I don't really need to anymore. Hopefully that will fade soon. My work is covering the cost of the hotel, and I'm working on getting my other things in order. I also need to find a new GP as I want to get a full test just to make sure everything is okay. I don't know when my next update will be, probably when the divorce papers are filed or if we have to go to court to push them through. I will try to keep my head up, but it feels like I'm in a whirlwind or something with so many things to do and think about. I kinda thought it would be easier once I got out of the house but while the fear is smaller, somehow the number of tasks only seems to have grown.

OOP Has made a new Update after the BoRU posted

Update 4 May 14, 2024
Update 4
Sorry I haven't updated for a while, things got hectic and a bit chaotic honestly. Firstly, I'm working on getting an apartment still and have applications in at three different places and will hopefully hear back from them soon. I'm still going into work here at the new location, so I don't have to worry about burning through my emergency savings completely. I've gotten a lot of emails from Alex, his family and our old friend group asking question after question. I have only sent one return email to Alex, explaining that I don't believe we are truly compatible, and it is best we separate now. That his treatment of me when I'd done nothing to deserve as such was just as much of a deal breaker as cheating was for him.
I ended the email with the statement that I would not be contacting him further and anything else he needed to pass on to me or vice versa would be done through my lawyer. For his family and friends, I just typed up one email outlining everything that had happened and why I left. I told them I wished them no ill will, but that such treatment of his wife and partner was not acceptable. That should Alex get remarried in the future, I wished they would help support both partners and not just Alex.
Alex, from what my lawyer told me, was livid when he was served. The sheriff actually ended up booking him for assault on an officer and menacing due to the threats he was shouting. His father bailed him out in a few hours, but with the testimony of the sheriff, my lawyer believes I have a very good chance at getting a restraining order. Alex, upon returning to the house, apparently lost his temper again, breaking the dining table into pieces as well as the tv, and putting several holes in the walls. At least that's what one of the emails from one of our friends reported as Alex called him to help him clean up the mess.
My lawyer already has pictures of the house I took, with timestamps as evidence nothing had been damaged by me. My friend reported that Alex tried to claim I'd been the one to trash the house but the holes in the wall were at head height - Alex is 6'3", and I'm 5'4" so he knew that was false. Either way, taking the pictures definitely will help me so again thank you everyone here for the advice because I never would have thought of that on my own. My work won't share details of where I am, as I do work with some higher end clientele who value security and that information won't be gossiped about and no, I'm not some stripper or escort. I deal with contracts, notary and business management. As such, even if Alex tried to use my work to find me, he wouldn't succeed.

2024.05.14 02:55 hairlongmoneylong Looking for the easiest - foolproof beginner friendly BLW recipes

I find solid starts to often be a little too advanced for us- multiple times our baby has gagged/coughed pretty hard, and it makes my family, who are pretty skeptical on BLW, pretty unhappy. Today was the final straw for my husband when the baby gobbled up some penne pasta and choked badly. So- I need to take a step back and stop being so overzealous, and be more practical about his abilities. He’s not nearly as advanced as the little babies on the website. If I’m not careful the family might mandate me to purées only!
We’ve got a shortlist of meals that he can handle no problem- like avocado spears, steamed zucchini sticks, sweet potatoes, and even meatloaf sticks. We also do semi mashed foods like beans. But I’m looking for advice on VERY SOFT solid recipe ideas that might have worked for you on the very beginning of your journey- any tips?
Note: I should also add a big reason he choked is probably because it wasn’t soft enough- I often underestimate how difficult food will be/ how soft they need to be for him- any cooking pointers would help too!

2024.05.13 08:09 SwaggyPig17 Everything to know about Gachas

I've spent several hours throughout the past week researching Gachas and nowhere did I find a single post or comment anywhere that accurately explains everything in the same place, so I'm going to do my best to explain things as best as I can so nobody else will have to research it much either. However, I don't think I know absolutely EVERYTHING about Gachas and might be incorrect on a few points but I'll edit this if anyone can point out where I'm wrong.
Taming: Gachas are tamed passively by dropping items down in front of them, I've heard that you can feed it anything but I haven't tested that myself. When you drop the items, the Gacha will walk towards it (unless it's sitting and it's close enough for it to pick it up) and pick it up, then eat it slowly. According to Dododex it tames better with structures/tools than normal materials. I may have done something wrong but i tried using greenhouse windows in stacks of 10 each (as recommended) to tame them with full effectiveness, but to no avail it always lost effectiveness and still took an incredibly long time to tame. Meanwhile, my brother tamed 4 or 5 just using stone in stacks of 20 with the same effectiveness (like 4%). So in other words, don't use this as a taming guide.
The level of the Gacha doesn't matter as much as it does for most creatures, the most important stat on them is crafting skill, which boosts the production of their crystals (drop rate and the quality of the crystals (normal, primitive, ramshackle, apprentice)). The only reason you might want a high level Gacha is to get a head start on crafting skill or high weight, so you can focus all it's levels into crafting skill and it's still able to hold a significant amount of items at once. From what I've heard, a good base stat of crafting skill on a newly tamed high level Gacha is around 130-135%, but anything beyond that is considered rare.
Crafting Skill: As I already said, it increases the frequency at which crystals drop from the Gacha, I don't know if this means that crystals grow more from eating, or if it means it'll eat the same amount, just more often than normal. All of my Gachas get 1.5% crafting skill per level up, so I'd assume that all tamed Gachas get that amount per level up.
I have seen many people recommend 160% crafting skill for Gachas that you want only the standard crystals that drop materials, and 260% for the leveled crystals (primitive, ramshackle, apprentice). I haven't seen anyone explain why so I can only speculate that beyond 160%, the chances of getting a higher level crystal than the standard ones is just too high to make an efficient material farm, as you would get leveled crystals too often. I have several at 160% and they work very well for materials.
Possible Drops: It would probably be easier to check the wiki for this, but I'll list them anyway. All Gachas get 6 different possible materials they can produce, and of those 6 are 3 common materials, 2 uncommon materials, and 1 rare/very rare materials. When wild they will drop a random one of those 6 resources, but when tamed you can choose whichever one of the 6 resources you want by choosing "Production" in the creature's radial menu (you can also set the production to random, newly tamed Gacha's are set to random by default).
Common Materials:
Uncommon Materials:
Rare Materials:
Very Rare Materials:
If you're looking to tame a Gacha and want to find one with the materials you want, I'd recommend getting very close to the crystal before you pick it up, and check it's level. If there are several Gachas in an area then it can be hard to find one with the right materials you want just by mindlessly picking up every crystal you find. If you check the level and then open the crystal one at a time, and then see the Gacha of that level nearby, it should be easier to find the one you're looking for. It's also important to pay attention to what materials a single Gacha can drop. The first time I tried to tame a Gacha, I thought I found one that dropped both Organic Polymer and Black Pearls. However, if you look at this list above, you can see that both of those are "Rare Materials" and a single Gacha can only have 1 Rare Material as a possible drop. Depending on the material, Gachas drop a different amount, but I'll get into that in another section.
Gachas can drop leveled crystals that can give a variety of different tools/armor as well as some structures. Leveled crystals only have 3 different rarities; Primitive, Ramshackle, Apprentice. So if you came here wondering how to get Ascendant Gacha Crystals, I'm sorry to inform you that as they may have existed years ago, they don't now. Leveled crystals are easily identified by white/green/blue particles floating upward from them. I am not typing out every item that can be dropped by leveled crystals so here is a link where you can check it yourself on the wiki: https://ark.fandom.com/wiki/Gacha_Crystal_(Extinction)?so=searchThe?so=searchThe)
Gacha crystals can drop almost all stone/metal/fabricated tools and weapons, including torches and canteens but not including harpoon launchers. They also drop chitin/flak/riot armor as well as heavy miner's helmets, and for structures they only drop a few different thing such as dinosaur gates/gateways of wood/stone/metal as well as wooden tree platforms (I do not believe behemoth gates are possible). As far as I have observed, Primitive crystals drop Primitive/Ramshackle equipment. Ramshackle crystals drop Ramshackle/Apprentice/Journeyman equipment. Apprentice crystals drop Journeyman/Mastercraft equipment, and I don't believe Ascendant is possible but maybe it is. There is a good chance that I'm somewhat incorrect about the information above, I tested it several times myself but accidentally deleted the note so I'm mostly relying on memory now.
Snow Owl Pellets: Gachas pick up items near them when wild and tamed, including feces and snow owl pellets. They eat feces as more of a last resort option but they eat snow owl pellets almost immediately after obtaining them, granting them a buff. The buff can be identified by yellow, green, blue and red particles swirling over the Gacha's back. Based on my own observation, the buff lasts until the Gacha produces a crystal, even if the Gacha has nothing to eat in it's inventory, meaning the buff will be "on hold" until it can eat. It's important to note that eating snow owl pellets does produce a crystal at all, like it would it if it ate a material like stone. This means if a Snow Owl is directly in front of a Gacha with the buff and nothing in it's inventory, every time the Snow Owl regurgitates a pellet, the Gacha will pick it up and hold it in it's inventory without eating it, allowing you to farm snow owl pellets while afk for later use. Now I will finally get into what the buff actually does.
The buff from the snow owl pellet forces the Gacha to eat until it produces a crystal (again, as long as it has something consumable in it's inventory), the crystal is also forced to produce the maximum amount of the material it can make, assuming the Gacha is in a good mood (I'll explain mood in the next section). I believe the snow owl pellet buff also makes the Gacha more likely to drop leveled crystals, but it didn't seem to impact my pursuit of materials so I wouldn't worry about it if you just want to farm something like metal for example.
Mood: Gachas have good and bad mood which affect their crystal production. The mood is mainly affected by the gender of other Gachas in the vicinity, but mood can also be lowered by taking damage. The mood is dependent on if there is another Gacha of the same gender withing a certain distance.
For example: If you have a male Gacha and female Gacha next to each other, they'll both be in a good mood. If you have 2 male Gachas next to each other, they'll both be in a bad mood. If you have 8 Gachas in a small area, 7 are female and 1 is male, the females will be in a bad mood and the male will be in a good mood. The mood is dependent on if there is another Gacha of the same gender withing a certain distance.
About the distance, I've seen people give several different numbers but it seems that the actual distance that same-gendered Gachas need to be apart is 14 foundations. Now I'll get into what mood actually does.
Bad mood is caused by being too close to another Gacha of the same gender, or taking damage. It causes the Gacha to not only produce crystals slower, but the yield of each crystal will be significantly less. I'm not sure how it affects leveled crystals but as bad mood as basically the counterpart of a snow owl pellet buff, I'd assume it lowers the drop rate of leveled crystals. They also refuse to pick up items, rending the snow owl pellet farming method I mentioned irrelevant. I don't believe they eat snow owl pellets while in a bad mood, and I'm also pretty sure that the bad mood cancels the buff until they're back in a good mood. I'm not sure how long bad mood lasts from taking damage, but after a Gacha is separated (at least 14 foundations) from all other Gachas of the same gender, it remains in a bad mood for a time unless an opposite-gendered Gacha is close to it. Bad mood is easily identified by purple/black particles on its back, similar to the snow owl pellet buff. It will also refuse to look at you if "Ally Looking" is enabled.
Good mood enables the Gacha to produce crystals normally without issues (as long as it has enough to eat) and utilize the snow owl pellet buff. It also will pick up any item near them. It is identified by no lights on its back, and if "Ally Looking" is enabled, it'll look at you.
Gacha Crystal Material Quantity: A Gacha Crystal will drop a different quantity of materials based on its mood and the snow owl pellet buff. This seems to pertain to the rarity of the material (common, uncommon, rare, very rare). I play on single player settings as I'm always playing alone or with my brother, so I don't know if the quantity is different than default for me.
I recently was out of Red Gems and Crystal, and although Crystal was easy enough to find, I couldn't find Red Gems anywhere except one location. So instead of searching around everywhere I decided to check what materials all my Gachas can produce and found that I have one for both Red Crystalized Sap and Crystal, as well as some other materials I was lacking such as Organic Polymer and Metal. So i threw down a male that produced Red Crystalized Sap and a female that produced Crystal and loaded them up with stuff to eat and all my saved snow owl pellets. I kept getting 30 Red Crystalized Sap with the buff and 60 Crystal, also with the buff. But once the buff ran out i was getting around 14-27 Red Crystalized Sap and double that of Crystal. If you refer to the list in the "Possible Drops" section, you can see that Red Crystalized Sap is Rare, whereas Crystal is Uncommon. I also farmed Organic Polymer and Metal with the Gachas and got 30 from each crystal with the snow owl pellet buff.
Upon further testing I have determined the maximum quantity of materials from a Gacha Crystal based on their rarity: (Keep in mind this is with single player settings, I don't know if Gacha Crystal yield is affected by this or other settings. Also keep in mind I don't actually have a Gacha that drops element dust, which is the only Very Rare Material.)
Common: x120 Uncommon: x60 Rare: x30 Very Rare (Element Dust): x15
I can't confirm this but it appears that a Gacha in a good mood without the snow owl pellet buff would produce between 35-100% of its maximum yield per crystal, and a Gacha in a bad mood would produce below 35%.
Breeding: Gachas do not drop eggs after mating and instead have a gestation timer like mammals do. Once the baby has been born, it will pick up items on the ground, allowing you to give it more food than it can hold which can prevent starvation much easier than you can for most creatures, however a Maewing would render this technique useless. I haven't tested this myself, nor was I able to find any information on it but I don't think they can eat everything an adult can, for food at least. They can eat meat and berries (this I can confirm), and I've seen people use rare mushrooms as they provide more food for the baby than meat or berries, but make sure rare mushrooms are the only item in their inventory, or else they might eat other items first.
You can check what a Gacha can produce ("Production" in the radial menu) even in the baby stage, allowing you to easily determine if raising it to an adult is even worthwhile. If not then you can just.... you know. The possible materials are unaffected by the parents and are entirely random.
Someone in the comments pointed out to me that baby Gachas smash feeding troughs so you should keep them away from them... I haven't seen this myself but better safe than sorry. They also said if you just set babies to wander then they never need food, hence the reason to fear for your trough as they might walk into it and smash it.
When imprinting the Gacha, it will not gain more Crafting Skill. The only way to increase this is through level ups or breeding Gachas with high Crafting Skill, I am unaware if Crafting Skill can be increased through mutations but I personally don't think it would be worth the effort even if it is possible.
What to Feed Gachas: This is undoubtedly my favorite thing about Gachas, as I'm the type of player who does not throw out ANYTHING no matter what game I'm playing, so having a good way to transmute junk that I'm unhealthily attached to into resources I need is amazing.
I have thrown everything from Rockwell Recipes to Slingshots in Gachas and they have not turned down a single thing. Sick of dropping stone tools and cloth armor every time you kill something? A Gacha will eat it. Tired of throwing out all your spoiled meat from feeding troughs? A Gacha will eat it. Have a full fault of hide and now you throw out every bit of it you get? A Gacha will eat it. Maybe you have too many Rex Bone Helmet Skins? Sadly a Gacha won't eat it... just kidding yes they will! These things will eat all your garbage you get after you take a newly raised creature out to kill Rexes for XP. All those skins you get every time you respawn, they'll eat those too. With a Gacha, everything has a purpose now, even those Smithy Blueprints you get from every Blue Supply Drop.
Below I'll list the things Gachas will eat in order (1 being most preferred and 10 being least preferred):
  1. Stone (stacks of 20 until gone)
  2. Structures, Ammo (stacks of 20 until gone), Armor, Weapons, Tools, Blueprints
  3. Food items such as raw meat (not Raw Prime Meat/Raw Prime Fish Meat), Spoiled Meat, berries, seeds, cooked meat, crops, mushrooms, etc. (These will be eaten in stacks of 20 until there is no stack of 20 in the Gacha, even if there are 2 stacks of 17, they will be left untouched until later.)
  4. Other materials such as Chitin, Hide, Thatch, Wood, Fiber, Oil (Oil produced by sea creatures is included), etc. (These will be eaten in stacks of 20 until there is no stack of 20 in the Gacha, even if there are 2 stacks of 17, they will be left untouched until later.)
  5. The least wanted things such as incomplete stacks from tier 3 and 4, Rockwell Recipes, Skins, Feces, possibly more. At this point it will also eat Raw Prime Meat, as it considers it an incomplete stack since it can't eat it in groups of 20.
Keep in mind I have not tested every item, it would take a long time and probably be more trouble than it's worth. I would assume other minerals such as Crystal and Obsidian as well as Metal would be in tier 1 with Stone, but I haven't tested them nor do I want to, besides Stone would be undoubtedly easier. I have found that the easiest way to get stuff to feed Gachas is just to keep all the random junk you'd normally throw out, I already listed them but I'll list them again:
Passive Collecting: If you set a Gacha to wander with "Resource Harvesting" enabled, they'll harvest trees and rocks and other things around them. If you don't feel like taming a Doedicurus or Castoroides, then these work quite well as a replacement, not to mention they'll gather both Wood and Stone at the same time. The downside is that they'll eat them, but they'll keep collecting resources at the same time so for the most part this shouldn't hinder it's resource collection.
Probably the best part of setting a Gacha to wander and collect resources on its own, is that you won't have to feed it anything yourself. It will collect resources, eat them, grow crystals, drop crystals. All you have to do is be in the area and pick them up. The problem with this is that Gacha Crystals are easily hidden under bushes, which can result in you missing a significant amount of the crystals produced. I've found that it's easier to do this at night as the crystals glow and stand out very well.
However, before setting a Gacha to wander, make sure to build a pen and have a few other dinos wandering around in it to lower the spawn rate of wild creatures. If the Gacha gets attacked by a Raptor or something, it'll be in a bad mood for a little while and it's crystal production will be extremely lowered for a time. With this in mind I would not recommend using Dino Leashes and instead building a wall out of something like Stone Dinosaur Gates. Fence foundations and walls work well but I've noticed that trees/rocks/bushes spawn closer to gates than walls, and in the long run it's probably a lot easier to place gates than fence foundations as they tend to randomly dislike being placed in a certain area. I'd also recommend having a Carno or something set to follow the wandering Gacha, as they do not do much damage nor do they have a lot of health compared to other creatures of its size.
What I Do: I just have a single Gacha set to produce Metal sitting off my deck but right next to it, with 2 Snow Owls leaning over the Gacha but standing on the deck. Everyday when I log off, I take everything out of the Gacha and put it into a Snow Owl so it won't eat it while I can't collect the crystals. So when I log on, I take it out of the Snow Owl and put it back in the Gacha, since the Snow Owls are leaning over the Gacha, they puke the snow owl pellets right in front of it so it just picks it up (it's in a good mood due to being the only Gacha around).
Then I go on my daily routine (gather kibble eggs and get a few cave drops nearby) and come back and there's a couple crystals on the ground giving me free Metal to put straight in the forge. I also filter the meat in the main feeding trough and the Hyaenodon next to it and give the Gacha about 1900 Spoiled Meat. Every time I go out on my Rock Drake or other tame, I dump all the stone tools and arrows and other garbage (my Chitin and Hide vaults are full constantly and now Stone, Thatch, Wood keep hitting the max every other day) into the Gacha as well, there's always stuff left at the end of the day because I get so much absolutely useless junk that the Gacha seems to believe is food. Occasionally on a slow day it might run out, so I just go to an oil drill or gas collector and grab everything and take it straight back to the Gacha. Every day I get at least 900 Metal in the forge (raw, not ingots).
Other Notes:
  1. I've seen a lot of people say that mate boosted Gachas produce crystals more, this is not the case. The only good thing about keeping a male and female Gacha next to each other is it allows you to fit twice as many Gachas in an area without them having bad mood.
  2. When a Gacha is set to produce Organic Polymer the best option is to not open the crystal, and instead put it inside a storage container and only open it once you need Polymer, due to the eventual spoilage of Organic Polymer.
  3. Gachas will pick up Feces if a creature defecates close enough to them, but Feces is only eaten as a last resort option compared to most available items.
  4. If you always have a folder in your inventory with your less used items like a Canteen and Sickle and probably same ammo, then it's best to be aware when you transfer all items straight into the Gacha. Sometimes the "Transfer All" button will take things out of your folder as well, resulting in you accidentally feeding the Gacha your own tools (I have lost over 5 Ascendant Sickles and well over 10 stacks of Shotgun Ammo to this). However this seems to usually only happen when you log on for the first time after opening the game. I should know better at this point but I literally just sacrificed 20 Shotgun Ammo today so I'm gonna start dumping everything out of my folder and into my private vault at the end of every day.
  5. I don't think the item that Gachas eat impacts the crystal growth, except tools/weapons/armors/structures seem to equal a group of 20 items (i.e. one mouthful).
  6. Since snow owl pellets spoil after 14 days (default settings), if you don't have anything in your Gacha for it to eat and you're just using it to collect pellets for later use, I'd recommend taking all of them and dumping them into a Dung Beetle at the end of every day. Dung Beetles increase the spoil time of all feces, including snow owl pellets. If you don't have a Dung Beetle, crop plots work as well, although it will be tedious to place down enough crop plots for a large amount of snow owl pellets as each one has an inventory of only 10 slots.
  7. Before editing this post, I said you can only get Element Dust as a Production option through a wild-born Gacha, but people have informed me that this is not the case and you can in fact breed Gachas to get one that produces Element Dust. I'm saying this here in case I forgot to delete one of the times I said it.
  8. If you go out for a long time while your Gacha is making crystals, just keep in mind that they only last 15 minutes (default rates).
Anyway that's all I can think of right now, yet I have the feeling I forgot to mention 47097894703 things. If there's anything anyone can confirm or point out, or anything that I should add then please let me know. I'd like for this Gacha essay to help a few people figure out what to do so they don't have to scour the internet for a week. If people actually care about this post then I'll make a detailed post about an optimal Gacha Crystal farm.

All Purpose Ground Meat Mix
One of the easiest ways to save money on your family's grocery bill is by purchasing foods in bulk when they go on sale. By preparing this recipe for All-Purpose Ground Meat Mix, you'll be ready to fix any number of tasty ground meat recipes without needing to brown the meat, onions and spices each time you cook. Not only will this technique save you money, it saves time too. The following recipe is from the book "Frozen Assets: How to Cook for a Day and Eat for a Month"

SUGGESTED USES (be creative).
TACOS: Add one package taco seasoning to two cups All-Purpose Ground Meat Mix (follow package directions for amount of water).
Freeze.
To serve: thaw and heat taco mixture; prepare tacos as you would normally.

Made my first loaf, and looking to improve.
Good evening, Breadit! Today, I took the plunge, and joined this cult of flour, water, salt, and yeast. I wanted to start with a relatively simple loaf, and it turned out alright:
https://preview.redd.it/40bmclz79pzc1.jpg?width=2211&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a8e9ec367a31ce1cf0c9b426113761d93d816b34
Wow, that thing certainly is bread. It's more dense than I'd hoped, but it's moderately delicious. I can already see places to improve:I probably should've used bread-flour instead of all-purpose flour (No Duh.)
  • Judging by how the dough reacted when cutting slits, I think something went wrong in proofing:
You can see how the dough was following the knife when I made slits.
As the experts when it comes to all things bread, it made sense to consult you guys for a better result. So, where do I go from here?

What are your favorite recipes using that device? I know chicken is basically the easiest, but what else do you guys do on it? Anyone tried putting beef ribs on that thing to rotate and use charcoal tray with wood chips?

2024.05.10 04:48 Funny-Zookeepergame1 Soal Kitchen

I rarely write reviews. Its not my forte, and I am no wordsmith. That being said, I wanted to take time out of my day to recommend this food truck. They are a phenomenal mom and pop food truck that is located off of Campbell.
To start, their service was great and I could tell they love what they do. The lady had a very warm personality and gave off nothing but good vibes. She gave recommendations but wasn't pushy at all, and I could tell that she believed every choice on her menu was a good one.
Now I can't speak to everything on the menu, but I can honestly say that the crab rangoon and spring roll that I ordered were the best I've had since moving to Springfield by a WIDE margin. If you told me there was crack in that spring roll, I would believe it, because the second I took a bite, I was hooked. At $1 per spring roll and $5 for 6 crab rangoon, it was the easiest $6 I had ever spent.
The real kicker though was while chatting with them, I told them I was getting it for my wife who loves asian food, and they threw in an extra spring roll for free! After eating I knew I had a societal obligation to share my experience. The mom and pop who run Soal Kitchen are absolute gems.
Tl;dr: If you are driving down Campbell by the TitleMax with a few bucks to spare and craving a quick bite, give Soal Kitchen a try! You will not be disappointed!
P.S.: The Pineapple Whip/Shaved Ice shop next to them is owned by the most affable man I have ever met who uses the Disney World recipe. I recommend him as well!

2024.05.10 01:41 Overall_Appearance15 My (ongoing) story

TLDR: even though I fell away from the faith into sin, I have repented and truly believe I am saved. Still trying to quit nicotine but headed in the right direction (weaning off).
Just wanted to post this here, partially as practice for when it comes time to share my belief with an unbeliever.
I grew up in a christian household and have gone to church most Sundays (and Wednesdays when applicable) of my life, although I had never really pursued God and his word until these past 2 weeks or so (now 21m). I always believed that Jesus is our savior, but I did not express it and had a strange sense of anxiety and shame when it came time to talk about my faith. I chose to get baptized in 3rd grade, but unfortunately I was not the good and faithful Christian that I should have been.
As early as 5th grade I exposed myself to pornography and was completely addicted 6th grade and onward. This took me down a dark path of sin, and consequential rejection of God (and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't enjoying it, although i always had a sense of guilt and have been in and out of severe depression from then until now). I truly believe I was at least partially Demon possessed during this period of my life (6th-9th grade). it all stemmed from me being ashamed of the sins I was committing and therefore wanting to separate myself from him so I wouldn't feel the immense guilt. (I was also homeschooling 7th and 8th grade which I think only made it worse because of the decrease in human interaction, and increase in opportunities to pleasure myself-it could have worked out if I had good friends that were also christian and homeschooled).
Once in 9th grade my sin only worsened and I got addicted to vaping, weed, and even tried some psychedelics and hard drugs, the worst of them being meth. By the grace of God I only did meth twice with another highschooleco-worker, and then never saw him again about 2 weeks after doing it. I also started seeking harder porn such as trans hypno/brainwash content (yes there really is porn out there that hypnotizes people into being trans or even more addicted). Up till about 2 weeks ago I've been a very consistent user of weed, nicotine, pornography and alcohol.
About 2 weeks ago I had a big health scare and felt like my head was inflating and I really thought I was gonna die. That was when I FINALLY decided it was time to change (out of the fear of God and being sent to hell). It really has been so difficult these past 2 weeks in many ways other than giving up the addictions (1 week free of porn and weed, still trying to put down the vape, but I've been making myself hit it less and less).
My mind was constantly at war with itself saying things like you can't be forgiven anymore since you were once a christian and entered a life full of sin. The biggest contributors to these thoughts being Hebrews 6:4, and Matthew 12:31 (the unforgivable sin). However I've managed to truly connect with my parents these past 2 weeks over the gospel, and have received immense encouragement from them and Luke 4:18 ministries here in ATX. The main reason I'm writing this today though is because of the wonderful thing that happened last night.
My mom convinced me to do something with her called Immanuel Journaling where you just ask for the Holy Spirit to speak to you about certain things happening in your life/what he sees in you, and then write down what you hear from him. It was very hard for me to tell whether I was hearing myself, the Holy Spirit, or something else during this, but my mom is a very experienced christ follower and if she says the Holy Spirit spoke to her, I trust it. In the latter half of the exercise, she said that the Holy Spirit had a message for me, her son. I was ecstatic. The message was:
"mourning is a necessary reaction to sin and grieving me. I see you. I hear you. I forgive you. Joy will come in the morning. Walk with me. Trust me. I am with you always, but it's up to you to take my hand and let me guide you. Read Psalm 23."
I am 100% serious when I say I welled up with tears. I am now as I'm writing this. I am completely overjoyed. If anyone is going through something similar, do not let the enemy convince you that you can't be forgiven. God ALWAYS loves you. If theres anything more heartbreaking than someone not being saved because they don't believe, it's a believer not being saved because they believe they can't be forgiven, and falling back into sin. Jesus became every single sin that all of us have ever, and will ever commit, whether we believe or not. The only way to be SAVED through his sacrifice is to believe in him and repent. From this we create ourselves into a haven for the holy spirit, and it is by the holy spirit that dwells in us that we are raised from the dead. We are sinners. We have and probably will again grieve the Holy Spirit, but we need to do our absolute best to walk with him, please him, and spread his message to as many others as possible.
I also feel I should add that the Holy Spirit set the story of the Prodigal Son(Luke 15:11) on my mind as I was questioning whether or not I could be forgiven. It's the perfect story for this situation.
I've always had social anxiety so this was the easiest way for me to get my story out there, but I really want to get more comfortable in sharing the message of salvation face to face with non believers.
For people going through similar struggles here's a list of bible verses that Luke 4:18 Ministries recommended to me:
Psalm 23 (not from Luke 4:18 but from the Holy spirit) Romans 7:15 1 John 1 John 16:8 Jeremiah 29:11 Matthew 11:28 Psalm 37:4 Ephesians 3:18 2 Timothy 2:1 Deuteronomy 28 Psalm 40
Also for how I got through the immense distress I felt from Hebrews 6: Hebrews is a letter directed to the Hebrews convicting them of going back to their old sacrificial ways, and is widely believed to have been written by Paul (although not confirmed). Peter has said that Paul's teachings can be hard to understand, and people would twist his teachings unto their own destruction (2 Peter 3:16). On top of this, the message of Hebrews 6 can conflict quite heavily with other parts of the Bible that preach salvation. It is meant to be read by people with EXTENSIVE knowledge of the Torrah and Paul himself warns against reading it if you do not have said knowledge (you'd be surprised just how little you know about the Torrah).
As for how I got through the distress I felt from Matthew 12:31 (the unforgivable sin): Jesus is speaking directly to the Pharisees in this verse who were saying that his works were that of satan (there is next to 0% chance that you've done this but if for some reason you did, you would know). It's spelled out directly. Anyone who blasphemes the father or the son may be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes the Holy spirit will not. I've seen people saying that balspheming the Holy spirit could be committing sin while knowing that it's sin, but to me, that's insanity. We are sinners. God knows we're sinners and that no matter how much we walk with him, we are not perfect until he has MADE us perfect through our new heavenly bodies. Blasphemy against the Holy spirit is done through very specific and intentional words. Hard stop.

2024.05.09 16:09 OftInTheWorld_ Dissolution - Partner Ran Off With Assets

Hey startup friends, here's a fun story.
My co-founders and I started a CPG company in 2011. In 2017 a company came in and purchased 95% of the business, making us 3 co-founders 5% minority shareholders.
In 2020, they purchased another 2.5%, reducing our share to 2.5%.
About a year ago the 97.5% shareholding company told us they wanted to do a capital call and that we owed them $150k. We pointed to the Operating Agreement and said, yeah, no. We are not required to contribute capital and passed. At the time they gave us a bunch of sob stories about how the market has declined and yada yada yada, all of which is patently false. This is an industry that has had a 10%+ CAGR since we started. Effectively, the category has exploded.
So the 97.5% shareholder popped up again about 3 months ago and said, listen, I've got enormous losses and am going to need you to sign over your remaining shares to me.
That's another clear pass. No consideration? No shares. (I.e, you can BUY them, but you cannot HAVE them.) Stated and easiest explanation is that he wanted to claim 100% of the business losses, however big those were. (EDIT: They don't share financials with us, and K1s are notoriously late. We haven't seen numbers in over a year.)
Sidenote: these guys did make incredibly stupid financial decisions, spending millions of dollars on sham marketing campaigns, flying private jets owned by a different company of theirs but then billing the 30k+ flights to our tiny startup, etc. It was a great loss machine!
We've been in the middle of seeking legal counsel when we discovered last night that these a-holes dissolved the company in October 2023. No meeting, no vote, nothing in writing, no dissolution agent, no distribution of assets. They've now taken our labels, recipes, and customers and are using them under a different brand.
WOW. We don't want to spend money on fighting this, but we would be happy to notify whatever regulatory bodies might be interested in this.
What would you do? Been through this?

I'm the one wearing green. The one in Ahrim's is someone from the clan chat who decided to join me celebrate.
Took me forever, but I finally got around to finishing all quests in the game. It was very fun and I mostly did this blind. That means I never used Quest Helper (I personally think this plug-in kinda cheapens the questing experience but to each their own I guess).I will admit to using Quest Guides especially on difficult portions of quests (Fremmy Trials Escape Room, MEP2 Light Puzzle, Solutions to the Cryptic Puzzles in SOTN). I'm not an iron so I can't imagine how difficult this would be on an ironman. Managed to get my cape with a combat level of 100, it was difficult but doable especially if you get the mechanics for certain boss fights down. Now for my favorite quests in the game. This will contain spoilers for those who care about the lore.
NOVICE
  1. Elemental Workshop I: This is arguably going to be a hot take since I think this community dislikesthe Elemental Workshop series. I think it is definitely flawed and that some portions of the quest could benefit from some tweaking. I could understand that but I still think that Elemental Workshop could be a great quest series if expanded upon. What I do like about the Elemental Workshop series is that there are no NPCs to start or guide us throughout the quest so this proves that the player character has a good semblance of intelligence. There is so much they can do right and I would like to give Jagex that chance to do so.
  2. Misthalin Mystery: I really liked the humour for this quest. I know that this was a holiday event which was upgraded to a quest after passing a poll. I enjoyed the story and how obvious that this was a spoof of slasher horror films, particularly Scream. I found this quest overall enjoyable which managed to get a good laugh out of me. I did not really like the final boss fight however but it isn't really as punishing since I don't think you can get killed so I'm not really that bothered.
  3. Recruitment Drive: I for one wasn't offended that I had to change my player character to a female in the original version of the quest, it was an annoyance at worst for me though I am glad they changed the puzzle to something similar but less of a hassle to perform. I liked the overall concept of the quest where you have to prove your worth to become a white knight by solving several puzzles or riddles. It breaks away from the trope of "Slay this creature to prove yourself" so it's definitely an interesting take.
  4. Cook's Assistant: It would be wrong not to put Cook's Assistant in the top Novice Quests in the game given as to how iconic it is. Not everyone has the skill to finish Dragon Slayer or became a member to do Monkey Madness or Desert Treasure but everyone pretty much helped out this cook as their first ever quest in the game.
  5. Ribbiting Tale of a Lily Pad Labour Dispute: By far the best novice quest in the entire game. The humour for this quest was hit after hit after hit throughout the entire quest. This is one of the newest quests and the devs managed to make a new quest in 2024 stay true to what makes questing in OSRS a stand-out compared to other MMORPGs. I really hope they continue make small quests like this to give more life to the world of Gielinor.
INTERMEDIATE
  1. A Soul's Bane: The rewards for this quest are bad but that didn't really bother me as much since I love the exposition we get on Tolna's life plus his struggles as we progress through the quest. We only knew him for a short while but we get a lot from that time. It was very compelling story-wise though the combat encounters really emphasize that this is indeed an old quest given its simplicity. Still, if a similar quest was made on this day with better combat encounters plus better rewards, I feel it would be more beloved by the community.
  2. The Forsaken Tower: This was actually the last quest I did among the 5 house quests in OSRS since grinding favour for Lovakenj (before favour removal) was a bitch. Not sure if it is obvious but I personally really enjoy doing puzzles and the puzzles in this quest were definitely fun for me. Unlike some people, I am the kind of guy to play puzzle games on my free time so I could understand if people just choose to have a guide or quest helper do the solving. Still, the puzzles in this quest were definitely doable without a guide and they were a lot of fun for me.
  3. Forgettable Tale of a Drunken Dwarf: I hope Jagex continues this quest series soon. The overall plotline involving the Red Axe is definitely exciting and I can't wait to see what Jagex has in store for us in the coming quests. I know this quest is really good but for some reason I can't seem to remember what happened for majority of the quest (if you know what I mean).
  4. Itchlarin's Little Helper: A very trippy quest with a lot of mystery surrounding the events in the beginning of the quest. When it was revealed that we were hypnotized and manipulated by the Devourer I thought it was a fairly good plot twist. Again, I could get if people aren't so high on this quest as I am but I personally really enjoyed it.
  5. Shilo Village: For a low to mid level account, access to Shilo Village is a rather big deal with having a furnace so close to a bank, Duradel and Gem Rocks. The story of Rashiliyia was sad and rather messed up given the implications and I think it made for a really compelling story. The ending of the quest where you finally put her soul at peace is the right tones of heartwarming for me.
  6. Waterfall Quest: I don't usually factor in Quest Rewards when coming up with a favorite quest since I believe in the journey more than the destination but I am willing to make an exception given as to how iconically good the rewards for Waterfall Quest are for a new member. To be fair, I too liked the lore behind Glarial and Baxtorian especially since it will lead up to important plot points in the elf series.
EXPERIENCED
  1. King's Ransom: Iconic as this was the last quest in the 2007 back-up before fast forwarding to OSRS. Really interesting how the story builds up from the events of Murder Mystery, when you thought that you had it all done right there were a few loose ends that had to be looked into. The fact that Morgan was able to get the upper hand for a while is very interesting and I think this is where the lockpicking mechanic has been added to the game. I really liked the story and I think there should be 1 more quest to end this where we face off and defeat Morgan.
  2. The Fremennik Isles: I really liked the story of the islands of Neitiznot and Jatizno. Learning more about the two islands while working simultaneously to gather intel for both kingdoms was an interesting plot point. I love the Helm of Neitiznot and when I did this quest when I was much younger in RS2, it truly felt like such an epic adventure for me looking back.
  3. Fairytale - Cure a Queen: Add this to the long list of quest series that need to be continued since you just really want to get back at Godfather for everything he has done in Zanaris. Unlocking the Fairy Ring Network is also a huge game changer regardless if you are a high level player or not. Personally I think the land of Zanaris and the fairies are very intriguing and I just wonder what they have in store for us in the coming quests.
  4. Dragon Slayer 1: A truly iconic quest, arguably the last major leap players take before taking a deeper dive into member's worlds. It's an old quest but it is just so good that it doesn't feel outdated. I personally liked the storytelling and the cinematics. I just wish other F2P quests alluded to the dangers of Elvarg even if it is just in passing to help build it up. Anyways, this just feels like a truly epic adventure as you devise a plan to travel to Crandor and face Elvarg.
  5. Rag and Bone Man 2 (loljk) A Kingdom Divided: I think you can all notice a trend here that I tend to love story-driven quests and AKD hit all the right spots for me. I was hooked from start to finish and this is a testament that OSRS does not need to take ideas from RS3 to make good storylines for their quests. It was definitely sad learning about the corruption of the council which led to the inevitable demise of Rose. My 117 HD plugin had the environment set to snowy and my 3D weather was snowing when you put Rose to her grave so it felt like a truly emotional moment for me when burying her. It was also a huge plot twist learning about Veos' true allegiances after you were led to believe that he was on your side this entire time. Lastly, the way Lord Hosidius masterminded his way to the throne by manipulating anyone who stood as a threat was very genius and looks like something that you could see in a great TV series such as Game of Thrones.
MASTER
  1. Dream Mentor: A love the lore behind Lunar Isle and adding a quest that uses Lunar Magic to help an adventurer learn to believe in himself and become a true hero is heartwarming. The boss fight did not come here to play and it was an interesting take to start the boss fight with the hardest encounter going to the easiest as you weaken the doubts in the adventurer's minds.
  2. Grim Tales: A really weird and wacky quest but I love how OSRS added a spin to several known myths and fairytales. The woodcutting level requirement is a little harsh but overall, I enjoyed the quest for the flavor it added to the Taverly and Ice Mountain part of the game.
  3. Recipe For Disaster: Yes, technically RFD is classified as having a special difficulty level but I will put it here in terms of its scope and difficulty of its combat encounters. A unique quest given that you can do 8 subquests in any order and it is so far the only quest in the game with that kind of structure. It is memorable as it is the sequel to Cook's Assistant and is the definition of a quest that anybody could start but only a few could finish. The final gauntlet is one of a kind as it is a throwback to many iconic quest bosses in the past with a tasty twist mixed in it. Also, it would not be right to discuss RFD without mentioning its game-changing reward of Barrows Gloves.
  4. Desert Treasure I: One of the most memorable quests in the game as it gives player access to the ancient spellbook, one of the most feared set of spells in all of Gielinor. The concept of traveling around the world to uncover an ancient treasure gives this quest an epic feeling of adventure. None of the challenges when retrieving any diamond seems to overstay their welcome. Traversing the pyramid when you have collected all diamonds was definitely exciting and unlocking Ancient Magics for the first time is probably core memory for me back when I was a kid.
  5. Sins of the Father: Arguably one of the best written quests in the game. This isn't even the finale of the vampire storyline yet you could feel that so much is at stake at this point in the questline. Ivan is shown to be a stubborn and headstrong leader which could explain why the Myreque has been in shambles after all these years. The disappearance of Safalaan towards the end of the quest leaves a lot to be desired as we will have to wait for, presumably, the series finale to find out what his fate was in the hands of the vampires. Also, my favorite antagonist is here and her name is Vanescula. Her true intentions are shrouded in mystery and for now, will remain a mystery until we see what the OSRS devs decide to do with her in the vampire finale. The final battle with Vanstrom was a challenge but was so very satisfying when you finally defeat him.
GRANDMASTER
  1. Monkey Madness 2: I think it is lazy to name this quest Monkey Madness 2, it should've been named "Gorilla Warfare". Overall I think this is the weakest of all the Grandmaster Quests and I predict it will place below While Guthix Sleeps once that quest comes out. The quest just felt that certain parts were made frustrating for the sake of padding difficulty. The greatest offender here is definitely the tunnels leading to Kruk's Lair as a good portion of it is based on RNG. It feels unjust to grind a good Agility level just to fail an obstacle because you were meant to fail the obstacle regardless if you stepped on the right tile, regardless if your Agility level is over 90 (I think my agility was 94 when I did this quest). Add to the fact that the tunnels are very long so it feels like failing these unpassable obstacles just seem so disproportionately punishing. Sneaking on the docks to plant the explosives were difficult. Personally I have done a lot of Sorceress' Garden before Squirk'in even became a thing so this part wasn't as difficult to me as compared to other people since the Ninja Monkeys share the same vision mechanics as the Garden Guardians. The final battle was alright, nothing too mechanically intensive as compared to other boss fights in the Grandmaster tier.
  2. Desert Treasure 2, The Fallen Empire: I think this should've been just named "The Fallen Empire" especially since there is less emphasis put on the desert this time around as compared to the previous quest (and that is definitely saying something, lmao). This quest is a huge leap in terms of quality when compared to Monkey Madness in both story and gameplay. The big reveals after getting all 4 medallions were definitely jaw-dropping as I had no idea they were coming when I did this quest. The fact that the stranger could disguise herself as the Sandwich Lady and even invade your own POH just shows how much the stakes were upped in this quest and that Jagex is not playing around when coming up with dangerous mechanics. The boss fights were all well made. I have died to the 4 bosses at least 1 time each. On the contrary though, I couldn't be mad about it because each time I failed a boss encounter, it seemed to me that it was entirely my fault for any reason. This includes me not eating fast enough, not bringing the right gear or not being quick enough with my prayer switching. Personally, I don't feel that any of the bosses were inherently unfair or cheese which is why I enjoyed them despite getting my ass kicked so many times. I think this quest truly lived up to the hype and as the game's latest grandmaster quest, I can't wait to see what Jagex has in store for us in While Guthix Sleeps.
  3. Dragon Slayer 2: I think it is lazy to name this quest Dragon Slayer 2, it should've been named "The Legacy of Elvarg" or "Revenge of the Dragonkin". Idk, any other quest name would've been better. The quest itself however was a top tier quest, one of my real life friends even told me that is there were to be one quest to be the final quest in all of OSRS, it would be this. I could agree with that opinion given that it is the sequel to the iconic quest, Dragon Slayer 1. The mere scope and degree of adventure feels like an epic tale from start to finish. The ways the quest made subtle callbacks to Dragon Slayer 1 were also welcome. These are seen in the simple things such as building a boat, recreating a map or in the larger scope with the overall majority of the quest traveling the world to retrieve different parts of a key. Out of all the boss fights in all quests, Galvek felt to be the most punishing as simple mistakes could pretty much kill you. The final battle was all kinds of epic and really took advantage of all possible combat mechanics in the game.
  4. Song of the Elves: The plague elf storyline remains to be one of the best written stories in all of Runescape. Each quest has good story and has enough interesting twists and turns to keep the player on their toes whilst being invested. Elena was a really good character and the only complaint I have with her is that there was a lack of build-up of her character in the previous quests. You don't really get to know her that well in the previous quests but in this quest you get to appreciate her for being empathic and sensitive whilst being intrepid and strong. A well-written NPC but if only she was as well written in the previous quests. The battle at West and East Aurdogne feel epic in itself and the execution of Lathas was a huge plot point. Learning about the history of the elves and Seren was both a compelling and sad story. Personally, I enjoyed the light puzzle in the Grand Library. I actually did this light puzzle without a guide (unlike MEP2) because everything that MEP2 did wrong, the Grand Library does right. The light puzzle in the library had a better sense of direction and sequence of what goals you had to aim for. If your strategy is correct and if you know how to utilize the color wheel effectively, the puzzle is very doable, albeit very time consuming (it took me like 5-6 hours as compared to someone taking 2-3 hours with a guide). Add to the fact that there was nothing constantly trying to kill you every step of the way so you could truly focus on the puzzle at hand. The battle with Iorwerth's Troops were fun and getting friendzoned by Elena after you save her life before facing Seren was both hilarious yet pitiful. The fight with the corrupted fragment of Seren was exciting and unlocking Prif as a reward feels appropriate given the general scale of this quest.

2024.05.08 21:16 Latter_Interest4614 GtaV Money Methods

These are methods for new players that I know for a fact will make them very profitable in their GTAV debut. So without further interruption let's get started!
1) Flight School: Off rip when you spawn you should instantly make your way to LSIA(Plane icon) and from there completing each flying lesson on gold will reward you with 230k.(Even experienced players haven't done this yet TAKE ADVANTAGE ITS FREE MONEY) Unfortunately it's only first timers.
2) Contact Missions: There are 2 contact missions that will reward you with over 1.5 million dollars. Yes 1.5 MILLION dollars, you wanna head over to trevers house and from there make your way to chefs store. This is your introduction to the "First Dose" "Last Dose" Series. From there Dax takes you on an adventure of drugs and profit making you a profitable asset. Completing both of these series will reward you with 1-1.1 Million dollars. Plus you get Dr.Friedlanders sports car with a custom license plate that says "M1ndful". The second contact mission which is repayable 24/7 is the Cluckin Bell Farm Raid. This is by far the easiest Heist series Rockstar has created in my opinion. This series will reward you with 500k EVERY TIME!!(With bonuses from additional loot you secure I setups). Additionally as an asset you can earn up to 250k playing this series. So all around its just a free method of farming money, I strongly recommend all new players have this series on repeat.
3) Treasure Hunts Stash Houses Online Events etc.
Treasure Hunts are a great way of earning cash and cool rewards as well as stash houses. You should put your time and effort into these events as much as the heist and contact missions because before you know it you'll be piling up more than 100k. You can pickpocket sleeping cayo perico guards, find weapon parts to build rifles as far as I know and you can also steal loot from crashed planes. There's so many more events which is why this is a useful method of making easy cash quick.
4) The 3 B's Business Benefits & Backfire.
The 3 B's is a short 3 word term I came up with not too long ago that I felt we should have all done when we first played GTAV online. Business- knowing what you're earning and what line of work it falls into. Some businesses/Properties are really impactful such as Nightclubs, Bunkers etc. Benefits- this aligns with Business because you need to understand what you're gonna make especially if it's gonna tarnish your bank account. Properties like the facility or even the cars people like to buy, can simply wait to be bought it isn't gonna go anywhere. You should most definitely buy a Nightclub first then preferably a clubhouse. Buying a clubhouse gives you options on expanding into multiple fields and you will become a wealthy EntrepreneuKingpin selling meth, counterfeit cash, weed and more! Lastly Backfire, thus is an extremely underrated aspect of GTA. If you wanna buy something you need to make sure you'll still be set, otherwise you're going to have to start selling and nobody likes to sell unless they benefit from it. This goes back to where I mentioned buying unnecessary properties. You might want a suite to live in as it would be a cool experience but a San Vitas St Apt wouldn't hurt in any way. At the end of the day it is your money but once again just don't tarnish your bank account because in the end you'll be stuck.
5) Jobs Rockstar will always have events where jobs have 2x GTA$ & RP. Sometimes 3x and even 4x. You wanna take advantage of this because some missions already reward high RP & GTA$ like Martin Madrazos dispatch jobs. Races with boosted RP & GTA$ are also a great way to earn xp and money. Overall if you see an event you wanna participate and get yours worth before it ends.
And that's all i can remember I know most won't bother to read this but I have seen many Youtubers making videos regarding this subject of "Making Millions Fast As A Beginner In 2024" so I thought I'd give my scoop of knowledge as to how you can farm some cash. Hope you guys are doing great take care and last but not least have a wonderful day!💛

2024.05.08 18:07 roflcopt3r22 Tired of "Quiet Quitting"? Turn That Energy Into a Side Hustle Instead

We're all a bit burned out these days. "Quiet quitting" is the buzzword for that feeling of mentally checking out, just doing the bare minimum at work. But what if instead of sleepwalking through your days, you shifted that energy into something that lights you up? We've all seen those influencers who ditch their 9-5 for a dream gig...could you be next?
The Problem with Quiet Quitting
Sure, quiet quitting might offer a temporary sense of taking back some control. But ultimately, it's a recipe for stagnation. You're putting your career on autopilot, and your ambitions on the back burner.
The Power of Side Hustles
A side hustle isn't about becoming the next mega-influencer overnight. It's about tapping into the power of small, deliberate actions. Here's the magic of taking charge:
The "Just Get Started" Side Hustles
The best part? You don't have to quit your day job to launch something awesome. Here are 3 ideas that won't break the bank or monopolize your time:
  1. The Knowledge Sharer: Are you a whiz with a certain software? Have a knack for language? Maybe you make a killer guacamole everyone raves about. Turn that know-how into an online course or ebook. Platforms like Udemy and Skillshare make it surprisingly easy.
  2. Reseller Pro: Our closets are full of stuff we never use, but could be someone else's treasure. Turn unwanted clothing, gadgets, or niche collectables into cash on eBay, Poshmark, or Facebook Marketplace. Bonus karma points for keeping items out of landfills!
  3. Freelance Your Skills: If you can write, edit, design websites, or rock social media, clients NEED you. Sites like Fiverr and Upwork help you connect with those seeking short-term help to build out their own side hustles.
Side Hustle Success Tips
The Mindset Shift That Changes Everything
Ultimately, the biggest win from a side hustle isn't always the money. It's the feeling of building something yourself. Reclaiming your sense of ambition, possibility, and belief in your own potential is transformative. It might just put you on the path those influencers blazed – but way more importantly, the path that's right for YOU.
Ready to unlock your side hustle potential? Share your dreams in the comments – let's cheer each other on!

2024.05.08 00:25 doublewub Monetization of Compilation Edits

I just saw Dunkey's newest video called "Quickest and Easiest Recipe", and was wondering: is he able to monetize videos like these? It's essentially a compilation of footage of Gordon Ramsey cooking, but edited in a funny way.
In the past I've seen people say that edits or compilations of other people's content is not monetizable, but then I see videos like this on YouTube and wonder if it is. Obviously there is some level of creative editing, and it's not just directly uploading someone else's content to your channel. So is something like this monetizable? Is it something that just slips by the system? Or is he just posting this for fun and not monetizing it?
Thoughts?
