2024.05.15 06:19 URAQTPI69 Looking for advice or success stories in pretty severe case

Hi there. Yesterday morning, my elderly dog got up like normal, helped me get the kids ready for school, had her breakfast, and laid down for her after waking up nap, as one does.
Later I went downstairs to wake her and take her out to do her thing. Usually I need to clap loudly or snap to get her attention, as she doesn't hear very well anymore. She got up with her normal grunts, and made it about half-way to the door (about 8-10 feet), and then collapsed.
She has fallen before, as she has pretty bad arthritis in the hips, and is on a daily dosage of carprofen. However, this wasn't a slip, she just dropped like a rock.
I go to try and help her up, but she will barely use her legs and won't stay up without help. I called my vet, and I had an appointment set to show up within the hour.
During this time, she was alert and didn't seem to be in any pain I could tell that was obvious. It's not obvious with her anyways, but she wasn't even panting heavy. Took treats fine, wanted pets, but just couldn't walk.
I have a younger dog who wanted to play while she was resting and waiting, and he started barking, which got her barking and she attempted to run to us. She got up, and fell immediately. Before I could rush to her, she got up again, and wobbled her way to us about 10 feet away and collapsed again. This was the last time I saw her walk on her own.
When We get to the vet, he does a couple physical tests, and tell us it's most likely a ruptured / herniated disc, probably related to IVDD. He said we would need to go to the animal hospital / specialty services to further diagnose her. So, we take her there, and they see her for 5 or so minutes and came to the same conclusion, stating her nonamulatory tetraparesis could be disc related, but couldn't rule out neoplasia, or even a vascular episode. She said it was PROBABLY herniated disc related, but wouldn't know unless we did an MRI, and said the disc issue would be best case. If it was cancer, there isn't much they could do for her age.
They aren't willing to do an MRI unless we agree to surgery, as they would just perform it while she was still under from the MRI, and even still, the MRI by itself is about $4,000....the surgery in total is $8,000-$9,000.
We were told since it's affecting all four legs, and because of her age and her bad case of arthritis in her hips, even if the surgery went well, recovery would be very, very hard on her.
As of now, she is essentially paralyzed neck down, but seems to have feeling in her feet. She is on a regimen of gabapentin and presitone, but I am really low on hope.
I don't know if paying almost 10k for my pup to suffer for the rest of her days is a route to go, if the surgery is indeed not a good option? I honestly don't know what to do. I'm going to keep up with her regimen of pills, but I don't know what any timeframe of any possible recovery looks like? The vets I spoke to said if there isn't any improvements in a week, maybe two, it probably won't get any better, but have been reading stories on here it can take 6-8 weeks before there was any improvement?
Thank you in advance

No safe mode, no emergency recovery discs, and no fresh insoles from windows. I can access the BIOS. I even tried reflashing the latest bios. But it will not let me load WIndows to save my life.

2024.05.15 03:41 Emotional_Issue_5695 Running a half-marathon after recovery from a disc bulge possible?

I signed up for my first half-marathon in October. I've never ran before, but since 3 weeks I've been trying to run 5kms every alternate day consistently which motivated me to sign up for my first half-marathon. Yesterday after my run I started having lower back pain. I was diagnosed with a mild disc bulge at L5-S1 3 years back, from which I recovered. I experience mild lower back pain occasionally which generally corrects itself after I maintain my posture for a few days. In the past 3 weeks I didn't experience any back pain and was comfortable with running until yesterday after running 3kms I started having back pain but I still completed my 5kms. Now, I'm reconsidering my decision to train and run. I was wondering if anyone had similar issue and still completed a marathon. And if anyone has any tips to how to approach running after herniated disc recovery?

2024.05.15 02:52 BirbCanTweet Classic Run in need of help!

Hey y'all, so trying my hardest to beat classic and got myself stuck in a very crappy situation.
Level 180, my fight is against Whitney of all leaders. I clicked without thinking through it and am in the battle with mons that are NOT ready for a Whitney fight.
Her team is Linoone, Grafaiai, Miltank, Girafarig, Hisuan Braviary, and Komala.
Mine is Ninetails ( 152/466 HP ), Luxray ( 451/466 HP), Meowscarada ( 329/460 HP), Primarina (231/471 HP), and Garganacl (364/562 HP). Plus one fainted golbat. I've done countless rounds against this soulless woman and her tera miltank, but even when i get through her first three her Komala with Wood Hammer and Extreme Speed is pretty much a wipe for the party when I get there. I have no healing items on the team, I'm entirely unprepared, but so not ready to let go of this run.
I'm leading with ninetails, and my general strat is to switch out to luxray to para and get the linoone to kill itself with recoil using double edge. But her Grafaiai is a monster, and her miltank comes right after. Even with overgrown and torrent active, I can't take the thing in one hit. And then the KOMALA, don't get me started. I've only gotten by it once or twice, and I'm losing hope.
Do y'all think its just dead in the water and I should start from scratch? This is the farthest I've been yet, and honestly Whitney was the only leader I wasn't expecting. I just feel hopeless here.

2024.05.15 02:25 jdoe1837 Best sites for getting straight blu-ray rips.

I'm not talking about the lossless Remuxes. I'm talking about the raw .m2ts files directly from the BluRay disc that usually come in a folder labeled BDMV. Before RARBG went down, that was my go to site for these. Now, I mostly use solidtorrents.to or torrentz2.nz, but those sites are down a lot. Sometimes I can find these on torrentgalaxy.to, but often that site just has the Remuxes. The more popular sites like TPB, 1337x, and YTS almost never have these torrents. Anyone know of other sites that carry these?

2024.05.15 00:31 xamaryllix Bad Classic performance on Power Mac G5

I installed Mac OS X 10.3.5 from my system recovery discs on my Power Mac G5, and that went fine. I then installed Mac OS 9.2.2 via the classic environment manager, and tried to run some old games.
Everything I tried had horrible, choppy performance, regardless of how much memory I allocated. Is this as issue with the G5 or is there anything I can do to resolve this?
Native OS X apps run fine, or course.

2024.05.14 22:46 elliot226 3 Ways a gyroball can improve your aim training

3 Ways a gyroball can improve your aim training
Hey everybody my name is Elliot and I'm a doctor of physical therapy working in esports. (NRG, 100T, Fly, etc) and I've been thinking about this for a while and wanted to present some of this information to the community regarding this slept on tool you can use to prime your nervous system to improve the quality of your aim training.
https://preview.redd.it/juh31g6ueg0d1.png?width=640&format=png&auto=webp&s=3d49821300a1a01349b9f7c95414684485535e54
First things first, what exactly is a gyroball? Essentially, it’s a handheld device consisting of a free-spinning ball within a plastic sphere. By rotating your wrist, you can accelerate the rotational movement of the inner ball which causes rotational resistance, challenging your brain to muscle pathways and enhancing strength and control.
https://preview.redd.it/ja8pz1nueg0d1.png?width=216&format=png&auto=webp&s=b0351eb855c3b67a15099db8ba6147178574971a

1 Improved motor coordination

In the context of video games, motor coordination refers to the synchronized movement of your hands and fingers to achieve precise aiming. Whether you’re lining up a headshot in a first-person shooter or executing a skill shot in a MOBA, impeccable motor coordination is non-negotiable.
https://preview.redd.it/64pqa0bveg0d1.png?width=640&format=png&auto=webp&s=2563865e51a7b0b211aaf6518f1db9e10ab10511
Utilizing the gyroball in your gaming regimen can work wonders for improving motor coordination. By engaging in regular gyroball exercises, you’re effectively training the muscles and neural pathways responsible for precise movements. This translates directly to improvements in aiming skills such as tracking or flicking.
https://preview.redd.it/39z33i7weg0d1.png?width=229&format=png&auto=webp&s=ce828dfd597125d8f26fa7f85cb76fbd23815497

2 Proprioception

Proprioception, often referred to as the “sixth sense,” is your body’s ability to sense its position and movement in space. In aiming tasks, proprioception enables you to make subtle adjustments to your aim without visual feedback, crucial for maintaining accuracy during fast movements like flicks.
https://preview.redd.it/yuus4mcxeg0d1.png?width=640&format=png&auto=webp&s=95308a4e67b33ae811073cb89acf1fff0158c291
The gyroball’s dynamic movement challenges your proprioceptive abilities, forcing you to adapt to changes in position and orientation in real-time. By incorporating gyroball training into your routine, you’re sharpening your proprioceptive skills, leading to more consistent and precise aiming in-game.

3 Muscular Endurance

Extended gaming sessions can often result in discomfort and pain, particularly in the wrists, hands, and forearms. The gyroball serves as more than just a training tool—it can also be a therapeutic device for alleviating or preventing such pain. Its gentle, low-impact movements increased muscular endurance, reducing the risk of gaming-related injuries.
https://preview.redd.it/m7r9se7yeg0d1.png?width=640&format=png&auto=webp&s=a00fbee2a15c59901bd8889774e0dab0cf7ab3b1
Picture your muscles and tendons as a health bar in a game, constantly depleting with each movement, each click, each flick of the wrist. Without sufficient endurance, that health bar dwindles rapidly, leaving you vulnerable to the debilitating effects of gaming-related injuries.
https://preview.redd.it/iras47pyeg0d1.png?width=399&format=png&auto=webp&s=c1d00c78cdc8594c6a19a91397369f2947acd5cf
Much like leveling up in a game increases your health bar, building endurance in your wrist and forearm muscles boosts your resilience against the wear and tear of prolonged gaming sessions. The gyroball serves as your training ground, where each rotation, each twist, contributes to the gradual strengthening of your health bar.
https://preview.redd.it/3i6s5m9zeg0d1.png?width=300&format=png&auto=webp&s=bfd254de5e8e6a0857d3bce6dd660665e0c38238
As you engage with the gyroball, your muscles and tendons adapt, becoming more robust, more resistant to fatigue-induced damage. It’s akin to acquiring armor in a game, each session with the gyroball adding another layer of protection to your health bar, fortifying your defenses against the relentless assault of RSI.
https://preview.redd.it/rz6wpjzzeg0d1.png?width=640&format=png&auto=webp&s=c2cdcf344c990e27917f910194ccc40e0257b810
The gyroball protocols listed below are great for improving your aim and can be helpful supplemental exercises for improving your endurance to reduce pain. But if you are experiencing pain from gaming we recommend starting with the exercises in our free wrist pain guides on https://1-hp.org/gaming-wrist-pain/
PROTOCOL:
This exercise protocol can be helpful for improving your aim and we recommend performing these exercises before you aim train to prime your motor system think of it like warming up before sports practice.
Warm-up: Begin with gentle wrist and forearm stretches to prepare your muscles for activity.
Frequency: Conduct gyroscopic training sessions three times per week. (with the mouse hand) Before you aim train
Duration: Each session should last for 5 minutes
Intensity: During each session, use the Powerball gyroscope for 5 minutes 2.5 minutes in each direction (clockwise / counterclockwise)
Progression: Start with gentle movements and gradually increase the intensity and speed of the gyroscopic exercises as tolerated. You can challenge yourself by striving for higher revolutions per minute (RPM) as you become more comfortable with the device.
Cooldown: Finish your session with additional stretches and relaxation techniques to promote recovery and reduce muscle soreness.

Hope you guys find this useful and I'm really curious to hear if any of you have experience with this or regularly use this as part of your training sessions!

2024.05.14 19:19 InBetweenTheLiminal Post-op MD experience

I wanted to track my progress and also maybe provide helpful insight for those looking to get surgery. I'll be updating this every few days.
SYMPTOMS/CONTEXT:
I 28f had a severe herniated disk at the l4/l5 disc since 2021 was working towards treatment in 2022 but lost my insurance at the new year of 2023 and went the entire year without seeing any doctors. In Dec of 2023 i was able to get a new job and back on the original insurance and pick up where i left off. At the time of my most recent MRI in Feb 2024 the herniation was described as severe causing severe stenosis and nerve impingement it measured 19x10x19mm. My symptoms continued to worsen to the point I was unable to do much of anything, sitting, standing, laying down all hurt, I barely slept because I'd be in severe pain from laying down within a few hours. I couldn't drive, I lost weight because I couldn't sit or stand long enough to cook and just laid in bed tossing and turning. I didn't shower, brush my hair, walk my dog, clean my house or go anywhere unless I absolutely had to. I could likely count the number of times I left my house between February and May on both hands. Pain was majority in my left side, hip and gluten, behind my knee and I had numbness in the front of my lower left leg and the top of my left foot. My right leg and foot had existing nerve damage because I have had this issue before from a snowboarding accident. I had existing numbness and weakness in the right leg which worsened to the point I couldn't wiggle my toes and had poor balance. I have saddle area numbness, urinary retention and incontinence and bowel incontinence when my stool is too soft. Again all of which worsened.
THE SURGERY:
I had surgery on May 9th, I was expected to be admitted for 1 day because my surgeon expected he would need to remove bone on the right side not just the left to get all the disc material. He was able to open me up on the left side and get everything out. However, my disc material had pressed my nerve into the bone and wore it very very thing and the dura tore causing a CSF leak. A neurosurgeon assisted in closing up the leak. My surgeon was impressed by the size of the herniation and took pictures to show me at our next post op appointment, saying my entire disc had essentally been blown out into the small space which was what was making my symptoms so bad, there was no room left for my nerve. There were no complications.
RECOVERY
DAY 1-5: I ended up having to lay flat for 48 hours due to the dural tear. After which I was allowed to sit up. The pain was mostly from soreness but I have having nerve pain that pulsed from my back into my glute. It would wake me up out of my drug induced sleep. I also ended up getting my period on the 2nd day which caused a lot of back soreness and cramping. I think a lot of my discomfort was due to being stuck in bed because PT and OT had not seen me and I wasn't able to leave the bed unattended. On day 3 I was able to get up and they removed my foley and the little leg wraps that fill with air to keep up with circulation. I was able to go to the bathroom and move pretty well with my cane around the room. This continued until day 5 where I was able to meet with PT and OT we walked the halls of the hospital and I was permitted to go home. The car ride was extremely uncomfortable. I was able to shower for the first time since the day before surgery using a shower chair and while difficult to not twist etc it was tolerable. The least painful shower ive had in almost 2 years. I found myself extremely sore by the end of day 5.
DAY 6: (05/14) as of this post this is my current day. I still have the throbbing pain but mostly this seems to be stirred up by movement. Mostly going from a laying down to sitting position. Though it does still randomly occur while I am laying down but not nearly as much. I'm about half way through the day and have found that laying on my right side is far more comfortable than my left side. I have tried sitting in a recliner and just leaning back but this seems to put too much pressure on my back and incision site so I have been mostly in bed or laying on my couch which is very firm and easy to get up and down from. I won't have anyone staying with me after today and I'm confident that I'll be able to handle things on my own. Other than the pain relief I have not noticed any improvement to the other symptoms I had, numbness, weakness etc remain the same.

The VW Gol GTI, Fiat Uno Turbo IE. and the Chevrolet Corsa GSI. Three amazing Brazilian hot hatches.
CHEVROLET CORSA GSI: It came with a 1.6 Ecotec engine with double camshafts and 16 valves, a very modern package for the time and imported from Hungary. Powered by gasoline, it produced 108 hp of power and 14.8 kgfm or 9.94 lb/ft of torque, enough to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.8 seconds and reach 192 km/h – the Corsa was a light car. The compact hatch also had a transmission with closer ratios, as well as firmer springs and shock absorbers, not to mention the look with exclusive 14-inch wheels, rear spoiler and sunroof.
-HP: 108 hp
-Torque: 14,8 kg/m or 9,94 lb/ft
-0 - 100 km/h or 0 - 62 mph: 9.8 s
-Top Speed: 192 km/h or 119.3 mph
FIAT UNO TURBO IE: The sports car was equipped with a 1.4 (1,372 cm³) engine imported from Italy, which worked with 0.8 bar of turbo pressure to deliver 118 hp of power and a maximum torque of 17.5 kgfm. Also thanks to its weight of just 975 kg, the Uno Turbo accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.2 seconds and reached a top speed of 195 km/h. At the time, the Fiat hatch was at the top of the podium of the fastest national cars, beating none other than the Gol GTi, Kadett GSi and Escort XR3 in both acceleration and maximum speed - practically tying with the Corsa GSi 1.6 16V. To accompany the stronger engine, Fiat made some exclusive changes to the model. It had a lower ride height (10 mm or 0,394 inches), an oil cooler, larger brake discs and a recalibrated suspension, featuring shock absorbers with greater load and a stabilizer bar at the rear. All in all, it greatly favored the dynamic behavior of the hatch. Despite its Italian origin, the Brazilian Uno Turbo gained a slightly different look from the European model. It was much more eye-catching with more prominent bumpers, side skirts and exclusive fender moldings, in addition to 14" alloy wheels with 185/60 R14 tires. The seats were properly sporty, being enveloping and with a different fabric, the brand also enhanced the environment with red seat belts. The cluster was alien-like in a panel that was simple, being the same one used until the end of the first generation. It had a speedometer with an exciting 240 km/h or 149 mph counter and rev counter, as well as fuel level gauge and water temperature gauge. However, there was still a turbo pressure gauge, as well as oil temperature and pressure gauges. The three-spoke steering wheel had smooth shapes, clashing with the boxy set. An interesting fact was that Fiat offered a complementary, professional driving course for the first owners of the model.
-HP: 118 hp
-Torque: 17,5 kg/m or 11,75 lb/ft
-0 - 100 km/h or 0 - 62 mph: 9,2s
-Top Speed: 195 km/h or 121 mph
VOLKSWAGEN GOL GTI: The Volkswagen Gol GTi was a car that made history in Brazil as it was the first vehicle equipped with electronic injection as standard. Furthermore, at the time of its launch in 1989, it had fabulous performance thanks to the AP 2.0 engine in a light car like the Gol. The 1994 Gol GTI has a sporty look, with fog lights level with the front grille, 14-inch BBS aluminum wheels, a series of black stickers and a huge spoiler on the trunk lid. The bumpers were the same as the conventional Gol, but in this GTI version they had blue filets - further characterizing the model's sporty feel. The interior of the 1994 Gol GTI was no less impressive than the exterior. The model adopted huge Recaro sports seats, covered in a black mesh fabric with gradient yellow motifs that make the look very pleasant. At the wheel, the driver had one of the best driving positions that the Gol has ever offered, with a four-spoke steering wheel with excellent grip, which in this 1994 model had, for the first time in the history of the Gol, hydraulic assistance. Furthermore, the panel with satellite controls made access to the controls extremely easy, allowing the driver to operate them without taking their hands off the steering wheel - something important in a sports car. The Gol GTI came as standard, very complete, with, in addition to the hydraulic steering mentioned above, electric windows and locks, air conditioning, sound system, electrically operated mirrors, among other items.
-HP: 120 hp
-Torque: 18,4 kg/m or 12,36 lb/ft
-0 - 100 km/h or 0 - 62 mph: 9,2 s
-Top Speed: 181 km/h or 112,4 mph

2024.05.14 17:35 Competitive-Monk7085 Class empowerment ideas to bring everything up to barbs mechanics, (just brainstorming while i wait for S4 to start)

Necromancer - Give them an idol either blood, bone, shadow, minion, cursed, or Corpse and have each idol give a 5% increased damage to whatever type it is, (up to legendary / unique? where it scales up to like, 10%, additive) however you have to upgrade each idol via using that ability type x times and based on which ability you used it will become a Tainted "x" idol (i.e. Tainted blood idol, Tainted bone idol, etc) and it gives maybe extra overpower damage on blood skills if you mainly used blood lance to taint it, or makes you heal if you used mainly used blood surge, etc (give them a place they can purify the idols to reset them and allow them to re-taint them if they want)
Rogue -give them applied poisons that's stored in a pouch, give them options to add poisons etc that reduce targets defenses / resistances etc, also instead of poisons can also equip throwing knives or what have you that have special affects based on what's slotted, like throwing knives, to throw a projectile that does x weapon dmg after each skill, maybe make this one more specific based on the item equiped, like fan of knives does aoe but less dmg, or a throwing axe that only hits 1 target (most health in range) but does more damage, etc.
Sorcerer - similar to necro but attuned to sorc skills / abilities. Maybe make fire stuff to give higher dot % dmg, electric to give higher chance to stun, etc also have dual elements that do different things, unlike an item tho, maybe make it a preparation, where they can click and change but takes a moment (.5 second) to change, that way they can use it as another skill basically (*sorcs should have more active skills tbh), but the elements could increase Hp recovery, resource recovery, etc. make it an alt button that gives you access to new skill bar basically that are just your preps you have chosen (maybe limit what they have access to choose from based on which element thing they are using, can give many variants for fire, that give extra dot duration, extra burn dmg, cause dot damage to apply immediately (% of) etc etc)
Druid - hold totem that they have to click and change to receive appropriate bless, totems increase blessing effectiveness, higher quality totem gives better blessing, make different type of totems to give extra benefits based on what it is, like a river rock totem will give passive healing or dodge chance based on if its a big river rock, or a small river rock totem. can use branches same thought process, i.e. use elements of nature for the totems. Or a mountain rock will give fort / shield generation. etc etc.

How to Convert RAW to NTFS Format Without Losing Data?
https://preview.redd.it/eks0x6cjgd0d1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=1308983c2fa17502e258f3f11a75aaf0fe71a6b7
When you try to copy or view a file from a memory card you put into your computer, have you ever discovered it's unreadable? Any file system on memory cards, USB drives, external HDD drives, storage devices, and even internal drives might experience this regrettable circumstance. Your circumstances may make this inability to obtain that info disastrous.
When a partition becomes RAW, for whatever reason, you cannot access the data on your drive and it won't be useful until you format it. For you to obtain that data, you must therefore act. Using a data recovery program on Windows or macOS is one such way to succeed.

RAW partition

It's critical to know what a RAW partition is before we discuss recovering lost data. Said another way, a RAW partition is one that has not been formatted using the file system that the computer is using.
It's never really out of the box with removable USB devices and memory cards. If you put an SD card into one computer and it reads it correctly, the next computer may not be able to comprehend the file system structure and may destroy the partition layout, making that device inaccessible. Almost always, you've just taken out that USB device or memory card without first letting the operating system securely remove it. “
The file systems most Windows computers use, for instance, are FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, NTFS, or NTFS5. Conversely, macOS supports NTFS solely in read-only mode and uses APFS, HFS+, FAT32, and exFAT. Linux systems use XFS, BTRFS, reiser, ext3, ext4, and more.
Sometimes the file system type of a device formatted in one platform can be read by another. Regretfully, there is no assurance here. You will therefore likely be told the disk was unreadable by the computer when you try to read, say, an SD card formatted with the ext4 file system on a MacBook Pro.
The important thing is that Initialize option. It is telling us, in other words, that the card is not formatted so that the computer can read it. While clicking Initialize will undoubtedly remove all of the data on the device, it is still an option.

Can I Get My Data Back from a RAW Partition?

The excellent news is that data lost or unavailable from a RAW partition can be recovered. Occasionally all that has to be done is plug the disk (or SD card) in issue into the computer that was originally used to generate the files and folders on the device. After that, you can format the card to a file system the target computer can read, copy the data back, and insert the card into the target machine.
You will have to fix the damage and retrieve the data on the disk if you can no longer access the original machine (or one with a comparable file system) or if the reason isn't incompatibility between your operating system and the current file system.

What Use Is Converting RAW to NTFS?

Said another way, if your data is kept on a RAW partition, you cannot access it. NTFS and other file systems serve the purpose of logically storing your data for simple retrieval when needed. Your data without a file system is just a disjointed mess that is almost impossible to discover anything.
Computers locate and access your data through file systems, hence a RAW disk will not be accessible. Its contents might still be there, but without a functional file system, it will be unusable.

Converting RAW to NTFS Without Data Loss

Converting a RAW partition to NTFS without losing the data on it is possible in just one way. You need CheckDisk for that.
The Windows utility CheckDisk looks for logical and physical problems in the volumes of your drive. If you need to convert RAW to NTFS without losing data, it can even fix any issues it finds with extra settings. Because CheckDisk might be able to identify and fix the damage keeping the volume from reading properly, we're utilizing it.
Using CheckDisk's Command Prompt, convert a RAW drive to NTFS as follows:
  1. Using a right-click on Start, select Windows PowerShell (Admin). Should UAC ask you to allow it, click Yes.
  2. Start with chkdsk D: /r. D: should be replaced with the RAW partition's drive letter. Key in Enter.
See if Disk Management displays the right file system and the volume is now accessible after issuing the command.

Recovery of Data from a RAW Partition

Sometimes the RAW partition cannot be fixed by CheckDisk or Disk Utility without causing data loss. Before manually converting the RAW partition back to NTFS, you should recover your data in such a situation.
You can recover your data using the following techniques before fixing the malfunctioning drive.

Method 1 :- Recover With BLR Tools

A few fast clicks using BLR BitLocker Partition Data Recovery Tool can allow you to recover data from a RAW partition. And you can find the files you need fast with BLR Tools's useful features like file filters. Furthermore, something the command line cannot achieve, BLR Tools adds Guaranteed Recovery and Recovery Vault data protection techniques to the mix.
Proceed as follows to recover files from a RAW partition:
  1. Get BLR Tools for Mac or Windows and install it. Open BLR Data Recovery Tool when it has downloaded and been installed. BLR Tools will detect a drive even while the operating system cannot.
  2. Choose the disputed RAW drive and hit Search for lost data. BLR Tools will now start looking for files on the hard drive.
  3. Click Review identified items to start browsing the found file structure after the scan is finished (this may take some time depending on the size of the drive).
  4. To retrieve the files, click retrieve. Choose the location to save the restored files. Choose an output location on a different physical partition, please.
  5. Recovering will start as soon as you click OK. This can take some time depending on how many files you've chosen to recover, how big those files are, and the state of the examined device. BLR Tools will show you an overview screen with direct access to your data choice after the procedure is finished.

Method 2 :- Try TestDisk to Recover

Use TestDisk to recover the whole partition. Restoring missing or lost partitions is the goal of the open-source recovery program TestDisk. Not to mention totally free. Its absence of a graphical user interface makes it difficult for novices to utilize. Still, you may quickly recover your lost partition by following the detailed methods.
This is a little video demonstrating how TestDisk can recover a lost partition:
  1. Get TestDisk and extract its zip. Try testdisk_win.exe.
  2. To start a fresh log file, hit Enter.
  3. To continue, choose the drive holding the RAW partition and hit Enter.
  4. Choose a partition table type. The one TestDisk thinks it used gets chosen automatically. Press Enter.
  5. To examine the partition structure and search for lost partitions, press Enter.
  6. Once more hit Enter to start the Quick Search.
  7. Press Enter when finished.
  8. Choose the partition and hit Enter.
  9. If nothing shows up, choose Deeper Search to do a more thorough search.
  10. Find the partition and choose Write.
  11. After you confirm by pressing Y, restart your computer.

Method 3 :- Recovering with a Data Recovery Centre

Sometimes data recovery is still not possible with even sophisticated recovery software. Alternatively, you could merely feel uneasy trying to retrieve the info on your own. Still, there is the choice to use a data recovery facility.
To complete the task, a data recovery center hires data recovery experts with sophisticated knowledge of file recovery and equipment of the highest calibre. The most successful approach to recovery is frequently to use a data recovery facility, but it is also the most expensive.
What to anticipate generally if you decide to use a data recovery service to recover your data is as follows:
  1. Launch Recovery by clicking
  2. Complete every field as required. This covers the kind of service you would like, how to get in touch with you, and any drive specific details.
  3. When ready to submit, click Complete my work order. You will be instructed to send your drive away for repair from this point.

Techniques for NTFS Conversion of RAW

It is now time to consider drive repair after data recovery. Generally speaking, once you are not concerned about losing your data, repairing a RAW partition is really simple. It only means replacing the broken or incompatible file system with a fresh one during formatting.
These solutions will walk you through configuring a disk and converting a RAW hard drive to NTFS.

Method 1:- Method with File Explorer

One of the simplest methods, formatting a drive with File Explorer just requires a few clicks. As you are ready to complete the format, just click Restore device defaults if you are not sure what values to use.
  1. Start File Explorer.
  2. To format a partition, do a right-click on it in the left navigation pane and select Format.
  3. When you're ready, set the format's values and hit Start.

Method 2:- Format using Disk Management

A Windows program called Disk Management lets you examine and modify the storage disks on your computer. It provides an overview of the data allocations and general health of your disks. One can format their drives with it as well.
  1. Choose Disk Management with a right-click on Start.
  2. Give the volume a right-click and choose Format.
  3. Specify the format's values, then click OK when done.
  4. Please click OK to verify the format.

Method 3:- Presentation with DiskPart

Though it manages the storage drives on your computer through a command-line interface, DiskPart is a potent command interpreter. Should File Explorer and Disk Management prove ineffective for you, this is a helpful alternative.
  1. With a right-click on Start, choose Windows PowerShell (Admin).
  2. Just type diskpart and hit Enter.
  3. Press Enter after typing list disc. Notify the disk number containing the RAW partition.
  4. Please choose a disk. Replace 2 with your own disk number.
  5. Type list volume and hit Enter. Note down the RAW volume number.
  6. Put in volume 3 and hit Enter.
  7. Kindly enter clean.
  8. Put in create partition main and hit Enter. In doing so, a fresh blank primary partition is created.
  9. Enter format fs=ntfs. This NTFS-formats the volume.
  10. Enter after typing assignment. One is given a drive letter as a result.
Advice on Avoiding NTFS Partitions from Converting to RAW
By now you're undoubtedly thinking, "How can I keep a partition from going RAW?" That raises a really interesting issue. Ultimately, you want to avoid having to perform RAW partition recovery each time you plug in an external HDD, USB flash drive, or SD card into your computer. Thankfully, you have a few options to lessen the likelihood of this happening.
Never take out a USB drive or SD card without first "Safely removing" it with the built-in feature on your computer. A RAW partition is likely if you just remove the drive without letting your operating system safely unmount or eject the device.
As widely used a file system as you can, format your drives with. Almost all operating systems can read the file systems FAT32 and NTFS, hence those are excellent options. NTFS is read-only on macOS, which is one issue; FAT32 is always your better choice. Choosing one of these file systems should leave you with no issues with your platform of choice needing to start a drive or just not being able to read it.
Put your machine to a proper shutdown. Processes on your computer may be interrupted by sudden power outage. The corruption of your file system may follow from this. Avoid forcing a shutdown of your computer whenever possible.
See how your disk is doing. You can get early warning of any possible problems your drive may run into by using a disk monitoring program that can read the SMART data on your drive. You can stop additional damage by acting right away as problems arise.
Naturally, a drive can still turn RAW at any time even with all of this done. Thus, you should regularly backup your data so that a secure duplicate is always accessible if you want to really protect it from such an occurrence. Easy to configure and maintain snapshot copies of your data so you can even restore to a prior version if necessary, built-in Windows backup solutions like File History are a fantastic option.

Conclusion

A RAW partition or drive can be avoided really easily. Know, nevertheless, that you have the resources to handle the situation if it should come up. Data recovery from RAW drive or partition is highly likely with BLR Tools. If in doubt, run BLR Tools's free Basic edition through your RAW drive or partition. Get the Pro license and safely restore your inaccessible data if BLR Tools can locate it.

2024.05.14 12:37 Intrepid-Campaign-72 Bulged disc L5-S1 injury causing pain 1.5 years onwards.

hey guys i’m only 21 years old and when i was 20 i bulged a disc doing BJJ. fortunately i haven’t had some of the more severe symptoms that others have experienced, but instead deal with a 24/7 mild pain (3/4 out of 10) near my injury site, on the other side of my back and both my glutes/hamstrings.
Reading other stories about people recovering within a couple months is really starting to concern me as i couldn’t fathom enduring this for the rest of my life. I can’t sit for longer than an hour without pain and standing up for long periods also agitates it. I’ve basically come here to seek advice or to read recovery stories to give me some hope.
I’ve been doing PT for a while now and am working on strengthening my core. Has anyone had a bulged disc and been relieved from pain by building up core strength?
Any help appreciated :)

2024.05.14 07:40 goldisrealmoney Can't boot into Windows, BitLocker recovery key required

Yesterday my HP Omen PC suddenly had an error message saying "CMOS reset" or sth like that during startup, after some time it did its own thing then rebooted. After that, it shows a blue "Bitlocker recovery" screen asking me for a recovery key to the drive (I assume it is the C: drive). The thing is I never knew my C: drive has been encrypted and I don't recall ever seeing a bitlocker related question during the initial setup. I do recall I created some temporary bogus MS account to get it pass the set up steps when it was asking for a MS account, but don't even remember what that MS account is anymore. Also I googled it, looks like bitlocker is for windows 11 Pro and up? and I am pretty certain I had only windows 11 home on my PC, that made it even more confusing.
So what can I do to make the PC work again? Will a fresh Windows installation work? I hope reinstallation won't ask for the bitlocker key again.

2024.05.14 04:16 turtal46 Sudden Non Ambulatory Tetraparesis in my Dog

Species: Dog
Age: 13.5
Sex/Neuter status: Female / spayed
Breed: Beauceron / shepherd mix
Body weight: 50lbs / 22.7Kg
Clinical signs: Nonambulatory tetraparesis
Hi there. This morning, my elderly dog got up like normal, helped me get the kids ready for school, had her breakfast, and laid down for her after waking up nap, as one does.
Around 1130am, I went downstairs to wake her and take her out to do her thing.
When We get to the vet, he does a couple physical tests, and tell us it's most likely a ruptured / herniated disc, and would need to go to the animal hospital / specialty services to further diagnose her. So, we take her there, and see her for 5 or so minutes and came to the same conclusion, stating her nonamulatory tetraparesis could be disc related, but couldn't rule out neoplasia, or even a vascular episode.
This was also the same reasoning she gave us that she isn't a good candidate for a medicinal route (I'm guessing anti-inflammatories and steroids?)
As of now, we have an appointment set up for an in-home euthanasia tomorrow evening, and were prescribed 15mg Codeine every 8 hours to keep her comfortable until then. Obviously we are grasping at straws, and know the end is near....but, is there ANY chance a medicinal route COULD work? She doesn't seem like she's in pain, and I don't know if this is something that would just be prolonging her suffering. Is surgery risky? I don't know if paying almost 10k for my pup to suffer for the rest of her days is a route to go, if the surgery is indeed not a good option? I honestly don't know what to do.
Thank you in advance

2024.05.14 03:23 LOKTAROGAAAAH Optimising for T17 (BAMA)

I've invested ~250-300 divines into this build. Clearing mobs on T17s is OK for me, but clearing bosses is a hit or miss. So far I've done 5 and cleared 3. Trying to complet challenges.
My HP is a little low which I can try to fix by reducing some damage, but how else can I improve survivability? My AG and 3 spectres all can't survive a hit in T17 which sucks
I regex these mods out, are there more that I should remove? I'm running max explicit mod effect.

2024.05.14 01:45 LarsonBoy89 Confused: Menieres or TMJ?

So my ear problems began back around November. It was only occasional ear fullness back then, usually only around the evening, but then things took a really bad turn around January when I traveled for work. I spent at least a month and a half with the most horrific ear fullness I've ever experienced, as well as a cold that wouldn't go away. I then got back home and went on a hiatus to find out what exactly was causing my ear fullness and my eye twitching, which back then wasn't as horrible as it is now. I then began visiting several different ENTs, two of whom suggested that I had a severe case of TMJ because of my bad overbite. They recommended that I fix my bite, which I quickly began doing with invisalign, which I started in April. I'm also seeing a chiropractor who is treating my upper and lower neck discs, which legit makes me feel absolutely horrible every time I have to get it done. It's been a month and I sometimes feel worse than I initially felt and I'm beginning to lose all hope for recovery. I have to keep my aligners in my mouth as much as possible in order to avoid my hearing from lowering. Driving in a car is absolute he'll because the pressure that builds up in my ears is unbearable and it causes me to get nervous and makes my eye twitch and also causes blurriness. I'm super confused because I still do not know if I have an undiagnosed Menieres case. Every ENT I have been to has been very quick to turn down that diagnosis. I really hate this and don't know what to do anymore. Please share your thoughts and opinions!

2024.05.14 01:01 race4life Recovery time after 2nd MD

I unfortunately had my 2nd MD this morning. My first one was over ten years ago, and things went great for about 8 years, then I started to get flair-ups but they would always get better over time.
This time, it was a doozy. I did something (not sure what) last Saturday that my back didn't like. I ended up in the ER because it was so painful. This was the worst pain I've ever gone through, and things didn't get better. They wanted to admit me because of the pain, but I declined. I got an MRI on Wed and started to lose strength in my foot and toes. My bulge went out but always went up again, my disc.
Anyway, I had surgery today and feel better, but I still have tingling and weakness in my foot and toes. Hopefully, that will come back over time. The surgeon told my wife that they had to take a little bit more bone than expected because of the size of the bulge.
My surgeon told me that my recovery is three months; I can not bend or twist for three months. That seems extremely long. Has anyone had that long of a recovery where you can't bend or twist for three months? It seems like 8-12 weeks is about normal.
