So chinese O levels are in <2 weeks and i’m still not familiar with the format of argumentative essays (are you supposed to give reasons for your stand or do you also have to counterargue??)

Hi. I’m a 19F who’s currently waiting for my second rheumatologist appointment. I’ve seen her in October.
I’m worried because I have a lot of the symptoms of AS, but all my imaging has shown no active inflammation and my CRP is normal. My rheumatologist sent me a very short letter stating ‘physio therapy is the way forward’ but i’ve tried it and it causes me a lot of pain.
My x-ray does show signs of ankylosis in my SI joints and my MRI revealed a small disk prolapse which does cause me a lot of pain. I also had a positive SI stress test. I also get pain and swelling in my knees and shoulders.
I’m just worried that I’m going to walk out of that appointment without a diagnosis. My rheumatologist doesn’t have a great reputation and she seemed careless in my first appointment. My symptoms are not as bad now as they were last year but I’m scared of them getting worse. I’m in the UK so I can’t change my rheumatologist.
Any advice on how to approach my next appointment? Ideally I’d like to start medication so this disease doesn’t have a chance to progress.

Katie is fake, she doesn't get hated because she is real, she gets hated because at times ahe goes to hell with her mouth and is wreckless. Yes Schena is self absorbed, but it makes sense that she will feel abandoned by her friend who was cheated on and got all of these things and did not say take my friends with me. ( In the real world your friends have what you have, I get a job at a great place I am going to try and recommend you.) Schena did that for Ariana, that is how Ariana got on the show and it makes sense that Schena is confused by Ariana acting brand new.
Ariana didn't do anything new. She got cheated on, it just happened to be epically public. But it is fair for people to feel sad over this. When people get divorced losing friendships can be like a death. I am not saying Katie and Ariana are queens for riding for each other because I don't think that is true friendship. Katie attached herself to Ariana because she knew the consensus and was not going to go against Ariana, because news flash the only person on the show she liked was Ariana, she still hates Schena (she has podcast with Dana proving it and she has done podcast pretty much saying everything but)
Finally Ariana is a bad friend, and the minute she stopped seeing herself as a vanderpumper she neglected her friends. Yes she became booked and busy, but she also saw the threats and vitriol towards her "friends" and did nothing, but people love to hate Schena cause she is annoying. I don't fault anyone trying to SAVE THEIR JOBS.

Hello fellow degenerates, I was looking for my next monthly bet (I invest about 2k each month on what I feel is the best short/medium term opportunity), when I found out that Ubisoft was losing 15% today. This is typically a very good first sign for me indicating a lot of potential for a solid quick return! Now what I always do is see if the “bad news” that caused a heavy single day loss is “that bad” or if the market is overreacting. I’m very convinced that we are in overreaction territory hence I decided to invest my 2k 2 weeks early with 100 stocks (not very WSB I know…) of UBI!
Below a quick summary of the earning report courtesy of the latest and greatest in the biz, 4o:
Ubisoft's latest earnings report for Q3 2023-24 showed strong performance, surpassing analysts' expectations. The company reported net bookings of €675 million, exceeding the projected €616 million. This was largely driven by successful game releases, including "Assassin's Creed Mirage" and robust back-catalog sales
Revenues for the quarter reached €726 million, compared to analysts' forecast of €720 million. This growth was attributed to the solid performance of key franchises and strategic partnerships. Ubisoft's adjusted net income was €143 million, significantly above the €117 million expected by analysts
Overall, Ubisoft's performance in the latest quarter reflects its ability to leverage its popular game franchises and effective monetization strategies, leading to better-than-expected financial results

I read this short story in high school and it has always stuck with me. I cannot remember the exact details, but the man has written a letter in some sort of autocratic state where mail is read over and censored (letters destroyed that go against laws or something of the sorts). He wants this letter to be sent very bad (I think it is a love letter but I cannot remember?) but worries it will be thrown away by the people who are maintaining the censorship, so he gets a job reading the mail hoping to come across his letter and make sure its sent. But he becomes indoctrinated in the job and by the end comes across his letter but throws it away because it breaks the law! Such a cool story but for some reason cannot remember the title even though it has stuck with me for so long.

I stay near Uppal close to the stadium. It's bad news. Currently raining with dark clouds. But it's only a slight drizzle with strong winds. Maybe the showers will pass.

I'll try to be as impartial as possible given the circumstances. anxiety has been a part of my life for the past 30 years. I was having textbook panic attacks as young as 4. depression is my "normal". plus everything that comes with it, ocd, paranoia, migraines, chest pain, etc. and a general disdain for social interactions, even online. say I have to spend a week visiting my family, I'll be bedridden for a month afterwards. even something as innocuous can be extremely taxing. it's like "I need to recharge after socializing" cranked to eleven.
because of that, in all honesty, I haven't actively sought out therapy. psychiatric help. talking to people hurts. drugs are another problem. everything I'm prescribed has horrible side effects. skin rashes, gastric ulcers, amnesia. a lot of professionals are "unprepared to tackle a case like mine" (their words, not mine). I don't know if there's a genetic component involved, but I do know my mom is the root cause. nobody is this messed up for no reason, right?
my mom was raised in a strict, religious household. she was constantly pitted against her golden child cousin. and her own mother would make a point that she wasn't up to snuff. she resents grandma for a myriad of reasons but never acts on it. and she assumed I'd extend her the same courtesy, "because it's the right thing to do". as if it was ok to ruin my life because I *had* to forgive her. I believe she's gay because she despises the notion of sex. I know this because even as a kid she'd vent, literally throw tantrums, to anyone or just herself, within an earshot of my toddler self. about how she hated being a stay-at-home wife, how her husband cheated on her, how he wanted to do the most vanilla things you can imagine in bed and she still thought he was a pervert. even my strict, religious grandmother thought she was overreacting (nobody was safe from her oversharing)
imagine being a teenager in that position. she'd shame me or indirectly make me feel dirty. I'd never dare share anything of that nature, but I knew what she thought of my urges, how they made me less than. this was worsened by how close we were. I know now this closeness was fabricated rather than genuine fondness. my mom was the only person in my life. she forbid my father from being alone with me "because he was a pervert". she'd humiliate me in front of my friends until they labeled me a loser and left. and the ones that remained she'd try her hardest to drive away; I remember this one time she belittled me for a week simply because I asked her if I could spend the day over a friends' house. she emotionally blackmailed me in order to control me. the implication being "how can you love me if you won't do exactly as I say? or if you enjoy seeing women naked"
remember the oversharing? random people would come up to me saying I was a horrible son. because she would take any chance to make herself a martyr to complete strangers. funny part is that those people would distance themselves shortly after. because mom is an emotional black hole. and they never apologized or offered help. there's a lot more, but this should paint a nice picture: she bathed me until I was 15. she realized she was losing control when I asked her to stop. I almost had to get physical to get her to. what followed were 4 grueling years of me trying to regain control and distance myself from her. nobody in my family helped me because "it was just a phase". I thought mom would come around eventually, but she never did. so I said f* it, moved in with grandma and told mom to stay the hell away. she blamed grandma for taking me in.
fast forward a decade and here's the breaking point. grandma had a few properties to her name that she wanted to sign over to me, so I wouldn't be hit with hefty taxes once she and mom passed. the only stipulation being that mom was allowed to live in any of them for as long as she wanted. I agreed. when mom heard the news, she went ballistic. she said she didn't trust me and was sure "I was going to steal her home", even though there was a contract, and that she hated my grandmother for "picking her grandson over her own daughter". grandma is 90. I thought the stress was going to kill her. so I called mom in order to settle this ourselves. it was a long conversation where she denied everything at first, before admitting that she knew what she did to me was wrong, but didn't care. and that she wouldn't stop until the properties were signed over to her.
I told her I wouldn't be able to cover the taxes, because I obviously can't hold a job. that I'd lose everything after she died and that I very much needed the money from renting them to survive. I begged her. I swore on my wife's life that I had no intention of kicking her out, ever. she said no. "I don't trust you after everything you did to me". ironic, no? but for grandma's sake, I agreed. she signed everything over to mom with the new stipulation that she could rent them herself. grandma moved to an apartment and is renting one of the properties to help pay my bills. I moved far, far away. currently trying to find a bigger place so grandma can move in with us. and I cut all contact with mom after some harsh words that reduced her to a bawling mess. funny thing is that grandma and the rest of the family want me to reconcile, because "your mother misses you"
like I'm overreacting. am I? my entire life people tried to convince me I was, that mom never did anything *that* bad. you inevitably start questioning your motives. I'm not a good person. I'm a misanthrope and I find nobody relates to me because of it. I leech off my family. I manipulate people. I lie because it's easier than this. and the only thing I feel towards my mom is hate. so much so that I could do things to her that I'd probably regret. only because I'd lose everything I managed to scrounge in life, mind you. and this is all compounded by the fact I don't see myself as a victim. because I grew up in a nice neighborhood, or because my parents rarely hit me. etc. I don't feel deserving of the label. I also can never shake the feeling that this is partly my fault. that I could've spared myself of so much had I found the strength to put a stop to it sooner.

This is NOT a Return to the 2019 Trade War. National Security Trumps All
The White House announced new tariffs on Chinese imports ranging from steel and aluminum to batteries and solar panels. Most of these increases are significant and will go into effect this year. The announcement brought back memories of the 2019 Trade War because of the middle-of-the-night release.
Remember in 2019 when Trump would announce tariffs immediately after the market closed Friday, and China would respond early Sunday morning? Traders would spend all Sunday afternoon wondering if soybeans would open down 50 cents.
Yesterday, reporters and social media posts excitedly talked about soybeans and commodities as if this were a return to a Trump-like Trade War. Should we sell soybeans and lean hogs? Should we move to the sidelines on equities?
It is not. It is no longer just a trade war.
President Biden did this to score political points for the election. It lacks any coherent strategy and really does not matter because the government is now concerned with national security. National Security will trump partisan politics, soybeans, and everything else.

Only months ago, people talked of China canceling Ukraine's grain cargoes. Not only did this not happen, but Beijing is buying more grain than ever. Ukraine, Brazil, Russia, and Venezuela are all part of a broader strategy for China to remove any reliance on the United States for agricultural products.
Even the Biden administration seems to be getting more practical. They do not have a choice. USA manufacturing productivity is stagnant, government investments are experiencing endless cost overruns, and output is not keeping up.
China has the world’s excess manufacturing capacity and cheaper labor. Both candidates view any reliance on China as unacceptable. Let me summarize Secretary Yellen’s most recent Bloomberg interview, “China’s manufacturing subsidies are bad, our subsidies are virtuous because they support American jobs and businesses.”
Beijing will no longer accept this. This is inflationary for American consumers and deficit spending.
These actions may point to a new path for American agriculture. The question should not be, “Will soybeans be down 30 cents on this news?” The most important question is where the USA will sell its soybeans in 2025.
After the multi-year investment in new soybean processing capacity, this could be a great opportunity for USA biofuels. Rather than electric vehicles and questionable carbon accounting getting all the subsidies, higher biofuel blending could become a much broader solution.
Farmers must also consider the impact when planting commodities like cotton, soybeans, and lean hogs. The government may not be able to provide the same direct financial support to farmers as it did five years ago.
One thing will become clear, this is not the same Trade War as 5 years ago.

My boyfriend who I have been with for 3 years and have been living happily with unfortunately suffered from a bleed in his brain last month and had to have emergency brain surgery. He is now recovering in the hospital and at first things were pleasant with his parents (whom I’ve never met). His mother then let me know she didnt agree with homosexuality and asked me to stay away from the hospital. Additionally, I let his siblings come into my home to get clothes for him and they went through my things and found a letter from our neighbor who me and my bf both don’t get along with.
In this letter, this neighbor, who is very old and mentally ill, wrote us a letter after my bf and I had an argument and amongst a bunch of other crazy things claimed I had threatened my bf in the argument which is 100% untrue. The siblings found this letter in my drawer, took this letter from my home and are now trying to use it to paint me like I’m some bad person.
After this happened, I let my bf’s brother know that because of the letter situation, I no longer feel comfortable with them in the home and if they would like to take my bf’s belongings (he is going back to live with them while he recovers) they would need to do it on the last day of the month after I have moved out and I had already arranged for his closest friends to pack his things. The brother became hostile and said I dont have a choice in the matter. I didnt see the issue with my original arrangement because I was trying to avoid a confrontation but the father of my bf then reached out to my landlord and produced a durable power of attorney for my bf. How they lawfully obtained this POA is beyond me because 2 days before it was signed, the brother told me my bf was still having cognitive issues and you must be mentally sound to sign a POA.
I had emailed my landlord letting her know of the situation and when I had arranged for his stuff to be picked up. then she let me know that she arranged with the father to let them into my home this weekend claiming that the POA gives them the right to enter. I have seen the POA and nowhere on there does it say anything about entering the principal’s (my bf) and my home. Additionally I spoke to the police department and they told me the landlord does not have the right to allow a POA to enter without my consent. Our lease also does not have any provisions about letting people in during a situation similar to this.
I will be consulting an attorney tomorrow but I just wanted to know what my rights as a tenant are. I have no intentions of withholding my bf’s property, nor do I intend to damage or keep any of it, I just don’t want it to be collected while I am still living in the home as I do not want a confrontation or to escalate the situation. As far as I know, my bf is not far enough in his recovery to give any sort of consent because that is the excuse they’re using to isolate him from me and all of his friends so I’m not sure how he can authorize them coming when they please. If anything, he might have indicated elsewhere that free men penetrating (raping) their slaves (gender irrelevant) was okay since that use of slaves was acceptable within many moral schemes; Paul never objected to it, and some passages potentially align with treating enslaved humans as legitimate non-marriage sexual outlets (e.g., as argued by Jennifer Glancy**[8]** regarding 1 Thess 4:4's εἰδέναι ἕκαστον ὑμῶν τὸ ἑαυτοῦ σκεῦος κτᾶσθαι("that each of you know his own vessel to possess in sanctification and honor")).
5. Linguistic flexibility
There's no reason to limit οὔτε μαλακοὶ οὔτε ἀρσενοκοῖται of 1 Cor 6:9 to prostitution; "malakos" means "soft"/"effeminate." In Greek texts, it often does refer to men who are penetrated sexually - obviously effeminizing - but a man who was unrestrained or excessive in his penetrating of women is likewise an example of "effeminate" in Greek sources.
ἀρσενοκοίτης's meaning remains debated, but the etymological game of making it "man-bedders" is problematic; rather than get bogged down in this lexical discussion, the larger point regarding Siker is, again, that the issue of whether "committed same-sex relationships" are in view is irrelevant.
Paul listed effeminate Gentiles as those who will not inherit the kingdom of God; a male prostitute is by definition effeminate for these discourses, but so would a man in a "committed same-sex relationship" who is anally penetrated.
6. Futility
I don't get why "liberal-leaning" scholars think they can salvage a moral Bible by handwaving Paul's (what we can redescribe as) homophobia, even if all of Siker's claims were true, Paul's logic is entirely premised on reprehensibly misogynist gender ideologies that animate his other arguments, so even trying to save the dude from Those Two Bad Verses leaves you with the steaming animal manure that is said premise.

Unfortunately i’m having to post again as my mind is going a million mph…
I’ve posted the original post at the top but basically, 20 year old mechanic bought my 25 year old vehicle and has subsequently found issues with it now its in his possession.
I understand from the previous post that there are a lot of scams out there for these circumstances but the buyers argument is that i’ve sold him an unroadworthy vehicle which is illegal and i have 48 hours to give him a resolution otherwise hes taking me to small claims court.
He has posted me a letter with images of the faults that hes found, unfortunately they are present theres no arguing that. The issue i’m seeing is that it had an MOT i think in the middle of January and i sold it in the beginning of April so roughly over 2 and a bit months of it being done.
There are signs of corrosion to the underside (as you would expect due to a 25 year old vehicle) and i’m not an MOT tester but in my opinion these bits should not effect it, however…there is a section of the floor which appears to have been covered with fibreglass and i’m guessing he has since removed it to reveal a hole caused by corrosion, just for the record - i didn’t place the fibre glass there or anywhere on the vehicle.
I’m assuming that it was covered in underseal or something so the MOT tester was unaware it was present at the time of the MOT (the entire MOT history of the vehicle has had no advisories or fails for corrosion)
I replied to the buyer stating that i’m not a mechanic so i advertised it to the best of my knowledge so i am unaware of the issues that hes found.
I genuinely feel bad for the guy, i was aware of minor issues to the vehicle but things like a cigarette hole in the seat or scratches to the dashboard, things you would consider wear and tear on a 25 year old vehicle.
If i had known about these issues he has found, i would of got them rectified prior to sale or if they were found on the inital inspection prior to the deposit being left, i could’ve given him options like walking away if hes not interested or renegoiating the price to reflect these issues if he did want the vehicle.
I’m just trying to prepare myself for court because i do feel like its going there, how would this work? Hes not wrong, there are issues that would render the vehicle unroadworthy but i was unaware of them? I’m not sure how to prove that i was unaware of them other than the MOT history…
I guess one bit that could be in my favour is that he is a mechanic by trade. Looking through the images he sent me, every fault but one (as it was under the rear seat so i wasn’t even aware of it) could potentially be visible from a roadside inspection so he has missed these issues. He did do an inspection by himself, using a torch looking in the wheel arches, underneath and in the boot. Its only when hes got it on a ramp he has noticed them. I keep seeing the phrase online “caveat emptor” is this an actual legal phrase?
Going forward, how does small claims court work? I have no evidence - he is right, it is an unroadworthy vehicle but i didn’t intentionally sell him it as i was unaware of the issues rendering it unroadworthy but i’m just not sure how to prove it? I feel like its a case of he said, she said?
Would the judge consider my lack of mechanical knowledge and the no issues on the MOT history as evidence that i thought it was a good condition vehicle and sold it in good faith?
Also how long does small claims court take? Is it a matter of weeks or months?
Once again, any help is much appreciated to settle my overthinking brain!

I have come to some conclusions
First, it appears that they are introducing a new and 3rd currency. One wise guy once told me, that I should avoid at all cost any game with more than 1 currency, and here we go straight to the 3rd: The Valor
I was discussing with my game friends, how they could implement the announced Platinum Slot. Some speculations were like "a random slot among the army that beat the first raid", and others said that it would be like a selection slot like when you beat a level in a regular Dungeon.
But now we have the conclusion: You earn Valor points, and then you will be able to spend them accordingly to get Platinum Slots
What does this mean?

1. Valor points are going to be probably very limited. Opening a new currency means that it would be probably purchasable. More P2W content.
2. With Platinum Slots, we get +1 level. This means that people will be able to unlock level 31. Level 31 finally unlocks the level 11 of PVP. Meaning that big whales, with level 30 minis and the platinum slot, will unlock another level of unfairness.
3. And the worst part: Level 10 minis have been prohibited for months. Now that some people are reaching there, here comes a new degree of prohibitive-ness with level 11. If level 10 was historically very expensive, level 11 is going to be massively expensive

Basically, it will cost $50 per unit to upgrade from level 10 to level 11 (not counting the valor)

1. 20K energy for the Arclight Energy ~ 4K gold
2. 1 Legendary Core ~ 4K gold
3. 25 stars x 90 ~ 2K gold
4. 8 × 25K (200K gold for base 20) experience Gems (500gold per gem) ~ 4K gold

Total gold = 14K gold
The price of gold WITH offers is around 300 units per $1 in the best scenario (could be worse in most cases, and much worse if you buy straight from the gold store). So this means that approximately we are taking about $50 to upgrade from Level 10 to Level 11 in SLOW MODE because, you have to wait for the 8 gems to appear in the daily shop + you have to wait for the legendary cores to appear + you have to wait for the 25 stars to appear.
Most whales run in FAST MODE, which means:

1. Buying GOLD straight from the gold store $100 = 12K gold, which means only 120 golds per $1.
2. Then they purchase minis in the GRID even not needing them because they have already maxed stars, their sole purpose is to get those fast 10K and 25K gems not waiting for the daily store.

With this method, they happen to spend a ton more gold (mostly because of the repeating minis and the movements of minis in the GRID to design the T or L figures). Plus, the significantly lower rate of $/per gold compared to best offers (almost 1/3). Hence, for a typical whale, a level 11 will cost approximately twice for the GRID + 3 times more for the extra gold exchange, this is like $50 x 6 = $300 per level 11.
Most whales that have been spending $10K on many mobile games won't see this as big money because with $9K they could be upgrading 30 minis to level 11 (if they don't already have them, and I'm not counting valor because I don't really know if it will be free with Raids ultimately)
This is the future of PVP. No single real competitive like Clash Royale SK Calalas players would ever consider this worth. It's plain obnoxious, the PVP ecosystem they are building.
The only thing I know, is that unless there is a PVP LEVEL 10 cap, I'm done with this game by next season, because Level 30 cap is not going to happen:

Boost Slots increase the base XP of any Mini placed there to level 20, this is the max level a Mini can reach via XP only. An additional 10 levels can be obtained from unlocking talents (+3), increasing the Mini’s rarity (+4), and having them in the correct Gold army slot (+3). The addition of Diamond Slots (+4) will increase the total level that a Mini can reach to 31.

TL;TR: Platinum Slots will unlock Level 11 PVP and this will finally kill the game (if it was not already dead)

We've all noticed how wizards in the Harry Potter series often have terrible handwriting. It's a recurring theme, with scribbles and illegible notes being a common trope. Think about it. The gang never mentions struggling with the content or complexity of written spells or notes,just the legibility. This implies that the issue isn't about understanding magic but about the physical act of writing itself.
In short, wizards have terrible penmanship because they've become too reliant on their magical tools and conveniences, making them lazy with their handwriting skills. What do you all think?
