How to come to an awareness of the harm of watching porn, and in general to an aversion to sex and everything connected with it? For example, I ate meat for a very long time, but after reading and watching videos/films on the topic of the age of meat and how animals are exploited (especially the film "dominion"), I quickly realized and felt how disgusting it was and stopped eating meat and, in general, all food of animal origin without any cramps and so on, I have been a vegan for many years and I feel much better than when I ate food of animal origin. So, how can I make it so that the retention of sperm is the same, so that I have an aversion to all this and no longer drain the semen, maybe meditate?

What do you mean? I have been reading lots of posts in this sub (really motivating). Lots of posters talk about the challenge of managing hunger, and some of them seem to be talking about physical symptoms of hunger, while others seem to be generally talking about a desire to eat.
For me, I actually don’t find physical hunger too hard to tolerate (I don’t usually get super hungry, physically, but there are times when my plan for the day falls apart or I forget my lunch or whatever). If it happens I can be philosophical about it and wait. It doesn’t seem like an issue for me usually.
The “desire to eat” feeling is different. I wouldn’t even call it a craving, because there’s not one specific thing I want. I just want to be eating. And this is actually a lot more intractable for me than being physically hungry, which is counterintuitive in a way because I have been reading for decades about how letting yourself become hungry is a crisis to be avoided during weight loss.
I have figured out some ways to manage this—for example, at work, I think it often just means I need a break, and a snack always justifies a break, so I’ve been allowing myself to close the office door and take a short nap or read for 15 minutes. In the morning, I try to stop at a park on the way to work and squeeze in a walk, which I think helps with the desire to eat in the morning just to get my body awake and ready to start a day.
Anyway: all of this is just to say, when you discuss feeling hungry, which of these things are you describing? Is one of these harder for you than the other to manage?

Hello.
I am unable to add content to my Portfolio (work) pages. When I click on the + sign, nothing happens.
I have a pretty old website, created 2016. I haven't updated in a couple of years but wanted to add some video content. I can upload the file to media page, but not add it to the portfolio/work page.
The website is currently hosted by my previous employer (so not Wordpress itself). It is created with a Theme called Semplice that my friend sent me through Gmail. I see that below the Edit work on the page there is the following message:
To activate the Semplice One-click Update, please go to the General Settings and enter your license key.
I go back to look at the e-mail and there is a Licence file. However, Gmail is blocking me from downloading the zip as it marks it as virus. I don't know if the lack of key is blocking me from adding content.
I tried following a website help page that asked to look in the browser's developer tool for any potential problems. It gives the following error:

Anyone know what I can do to solve this?

Hi, I am not married, have no children, and most of my small golfing circle is spread out geographically. So I play as a single almost 100% of the time for my mid-week rounds. I've played 3 rounds at the new club so far and don't know anyone there. Generally speaking, how should I handle situations where I come up on a group as a single? I got paired up with 3 members on my last round, and we were playing ready golf and finished the round in 3:45. By about 14, a single in a cart had made his way up to us and I asked one of the others in the group if we should let him play through. His response was essentially "Fuck him," which took me aback.
Then I read a comment here which said that single players at private clubs typically get no courtesy on the course. I imagine that I will be the single in this situation very soon, and I don't want to step on any toes as a new member. How should I handle playing as a random single? Do I be sure to hang way back and let them make the decision to wave me up?
Also, any other general tips or pieces of advice for being a new member is greatly appreciated.
Additional info: My membership is a "limited golf" membership which means I can play S-Th after 2 pm from May - Sept. From Oct - Apr I can play 7 days a week after 12 noon. I have access to all other club amenities, driving range, pool, restaurant, events, etc. I value reasonably quick play, think I'm friendly/funny/witty, and 90% of the time I'm paired up with someone we have a great time. I just try to be a pleasant person to golf with and my HC is 16.1 right now.

Definitions

So i want to try piano, I've played guitar and although i like it. I'm really struggling to practice and in recent years I've been loving piano in music more and im always tapping with my fingers to music, so I felt it made sence to atleast give it a shot.
I'm very anxious about my hand coordination tho, my hands are either both doing the same or they are doing nothing and I fear that's not something you can really get better at. But I'm 22 so I'm hoping that's still young enough lol.
Does anybody know how i can get more control over my hands, anything i can practice?
Ps. If there is any other general info on learning piano besides my question, feel free to drop it aswell. Like a thing you wish you knew or had when you started?

No I'm not here to complain, but just to ask you :)
Lately while browsing the internet I've noticed how ToTK is generally very criticized when I remember that it was considered almost a masterpiece. Personally I liked the game and had fun (and I also played BoTW).
If there's anything I can say about it, it's that I miss having dungeons like the old Zelda games. I didn't really like the shrine stuff and dungeons in BoTW and ToTK from the start, in fact I'm playing Wind Waker now because it's dungeons like those that I love. One of my favorites will always be the tower near the end of Skyward Sword because it is literally a structure with various biomes inside that you can manage as you like and also I miss having those well-structured dungeons where in each one you found a new item to finish it. I think that maybe people have gotten tired of botw's hyrule map, Majora's Mask for example is a sequel to OoT but the world and mechanics are completely different and the fact that it is a sequel doesn't matter at all. In general, as I said, I really liked Tears of The Kingdom but MAYBE it is a sequel that is too similar in some things and which is empty in some areas and honestly I would have preferred to see more in some things such as for example something more regarding the sky area (also considering that my favorite is Skyward Sword).
So in short, I'm asking you for the main reasons since I'm curious and Zelda has always been my favorite saga. Thanks for reading :)

Heya-new here, but been out as pan for several years (& just didn't know the term before that).
This is long. If someone baring their life for context to their question is not for you, feel free to skip to the end(ish), or skip it altogether. For those of you who stick around, I appreciate your forbearance, as well as your help/advice/support/whathaveyou.
With how things are generally running in the world these days, I have no idea how to meet & connect w/people, let alone start dating, but I feel like that's where I'm headed. I'm also trying to continue to make friends & build a more comprehensive & cohesive chosen family.
To say I feel stymied is an understatement.
I've been told by fiends who no longer live here, as well as a few transplants from other places, that living in Seattle doesn't exactly help. The feedback I've had from most of these people is that the social scene here, regardless of the group &/or their focus-be it music, gardening, gaming, or anything else-is pretty much surface-fake & very toxic.
Having lived nowhere else, I have no real/other perspective with this, but the sentiments regarding all of it are both clear and consistent. Frankly, some of the things they've described as "normal" frienships/interactions elsewhere sound both completely foreign to me/my experience, & absolutely lovely. These people span not only this country, but a few are on different continents altogether-which makes that consistency significant.
I realize there's no such thing as a fantasy-perfect place, & that wherever you go, there you are is definitely true, but the social culture out here is pretty damn difficult.
To be honest, I'm not really all that surprised by these evaluations. I've considered moving for various reasons, but I'd be lying if I said this wasn't one of them.
However, for me, that's not as straightforward as it might be for most people.
For starters, I'm disabled & immunocompromised, which, as you might (correctly) excpect, complicates everything in my life. Ableism is also a constant challenge, & that absolutely includes social interactions.
I am also neurodivergent, which I say with pride, but can also cause issues with the wrong neurotypical people. I've experienced this in all aspects of my life, including a few disasterous relationships (or "learning experiences", ha ha, no).
There's additional, relevant background stuff (well, relevant to me, anyway) that provides some context for how I've arrived at this point.
Here's my (recentish) story:
My spouse left me in 2012, essentially because I became disabled during the relationship (very, very common, unfortunately).
Like many, I became very isolated while I was learning how to live w/my disability. When my marriage (suddenly, unexpectedly, & without a sandgrain of warning) abruptly ended I was alone in a boat in the middle of an empty sea.
Disabled people do not have marriage equality (yep, really.), so we were married in name only-legal marriage wasn't an option. At all. What that meant for me in practical terms (not to mention with regards to my survival) was that I had zero legal recourse for financial help-or anything else, for that matter.
It did not help that my family shocked me with their complete lack of support (devestating & baffling), & I was looking at the reality of needing to shop around for the least awful shelter, because I was for sure going to become unhoused.
My now ex stepped in, said they wouldn't be the one to make me unhoused, & said they would continue to live w/me until I found stable housing I could afford. I had no one to go to & nowhere else to go, so while my ex is trash in most other ways, I am very grateful to them for doing so, if not for much else.
Finding available housing I could afford took 3½ years.
(SSDI is incredibly fucked, & if you have no idea what I'm talking about, please educate yourself. The creator 'crutches & spice' is a great place to start, but please-people need to know how bad it really is, & recognise that even you could become disabled-today even! But I digress in a way only an audhd person can).
3½ years of living in nearly complete isolation, while also having to watch my ex go on w/their life (including dating & new relationships) was traumatic & incredibly painful. When I finally moved into my own place & was finally living alone, I was fully aware I had a lot to work through, work on, & figure out. Dating would have been the worst decision I could have made, & I knew it.
I spent a good chunk of time figuring my shit out, realizing I was nonbinary (really, just another term I had not yet encountered) & mostly focusing on building friendships (especially building my chosen family) .
I have not dated/hooked up/whatever since. This was completely by my own choice, & I stand by that decision as being the healthiest & most loving thing I have done for myself in a long time-maybe ever. I love living alone, & for the most part have learned to enjoy being solitary, experiencing no more loneliness than the average person seems to encounter along the way.
This has been somewhat compromised of late, as I had to euthanize my emotional support animal just under a year ago, followed by going low-contact with my parents shortly after. However, I have also worked very, very hard with my therapist regarding this, & we both agree I've made significant progress. In other words, I'm pretty certain at this point that I'm not trying to find someone to compensate for those losses.
I decided I was ready to do the scary thing & at least start dipping my toes (or maybe my foot...up to the knee?) into the dating pool, & began to feel that out...in late 2019.
Well, it doesn't take much of anything to know what came next: c19 hit & I was back to just staying home all the time (something I already had a lot of experience with, obviously, so during lockdown, much comfort & advice was given to those who did not-lucky bastards).
Since folks have now decided the pandemic is over (don't even get me started on that, except to say that most people see my safety needs as a huge inconvenience), I've gone back to attempting in-person interactions.
For example, I joined an lgbtqia+ (& allies) choir, & participte with a nonprofit that focuses on trauma-based teaching, providing free art classes to a highly varied student body.
But while I have made a (very) few friends along the way, dating seems to have been shoved off the table (again).
I had to leave the choir about a year ago (mainly for issues regarding their c19 policy changes that completely disregarded the several immunocompromised members of the choir-one of whom is now permanently disabled w/long covid-& the shitty way the choir leadership responded to those of us who voiced concerns/dissent).
The nonprofit is cool, but given the general population they serve, not exactly a mecca of dating options. Even friendships must be considered very carefully & evaluated often, though I very much believe in the value of the work they do, & have met some really lovely people.
I'm in an odd place of integration (ie letting shit settle), so I'm not even sure I want a relationship (yeah, yeah, I know-do not name the cup from which you will not drink). A friends-with-benfits type situation would be welcome, however, & I'm not opposed to being part of a polycule, either.
So I'm back to square one, and apps seem as good an idea as any...save for the horror stories I hear from others, especially people who are afab (like me).
If I had a name tag & was asked to label myself, "Disabled, nonbinary (afab), neurodivergent, immunocompromised, pansexual person" probably wouldn't fit.
I checked out a post in one of the bisexual-focused reddit groups, regarding dating apps (& experiences therein), but much of the discussion didn't fully apply (or apply at all) to pansexual-identifying people. That wasn't a huge surprise, of course, but it was frustrating & and disappointing, for sure.
If you've made it this far, you get a Big Gold Star Thank You (!) & a request for thoughts, advice, suggestions, stories (I could use some funny &/or encouraging ones, to be honest), & any other relevant comments, especially with regards to dating apps. Even though I feel age is generally & often irrelevant, I suppose I should mention I turned 48 this last January.
I'm open to in-person interaction, but if it's indoors, I have to mask up, & prefer masked events at venues with decent air circulation. This winter, I missed several shows because I knew they'd be packed with unmasked people in a small space with abominable ventilation & air circulation. It sucks.
Online interaction is absolutely welcome, as it's the most likely to be accessible to me. Plus, with the summer weather already kicking in (thanks climate change!), the possibilities for &/or opportunities to actually meet in person are greatly increased.
*Please be kind (yeah, I know that's a tall order for the internet, but honestly, so far all y'all seem like pretty decent people).
I'm not generally very good at asking for help, & always worry that my story will just be seen as a sob story (or incredibly boring). This post is part of my efforts to put all the work I've done in being accountable, taking real actions, & continuing to grow past that into practice. Scary as hell, but here we are.

So firstly, I understand this might seem like a rage bait for the 13 jojolion enthusiasts but I'm just being honest here.
So far I've read 30 chapters of jojolion and it might be the most boring manga I've ever read, I hate absolutely everything about it and nothing is interesting about it except the morioh setting but executed horribly compared to DIU.
It puzzeles me that the same guy who wrote SBR wrote this garbage fest right after, like it took me 3 days to finish SBR and a week to slog and drag myself through 30 chapters of jojolion, the only mildly interesting thing that happened so far is the ~10 pages of Johnny's epilogue.
So I thought it would be fine if it'll eventually get good and searched on reddit on what chapter it gets good, and the general consensus was that it's supposed to be good for the first half and it gets boring/disappointing in the second half. I'M SORRY BUT WHAT???!!!!??!?????!
So my question is, would it be fine if I skipped it and read jojolands? or is it too connected?

I'm a 24F who has a scheduled FNA on Monday. I've done a lot of reading about it, but I'm still nervous. Most people say that its not bad, and I think I just need reassurance.
For context, I've been dealing with undiagnosed health issues for years. Been to rheumatology, GI, ortho, etc. with no answers. I've previously had high ANA before and found out it is genetically likely that I may develop Hashimotos in my lifetime. My half sister also has Hashimotos. I'm wondering if its undiagnosed Hashimotos causing it, but I'm not sure. My TSH, T3, T4 has always been normal, just recently my PTH was low.
I'm nervous for the actual biopsy, but also nervous because I had two TI-RADS 5 spots on my thyroid. I lost my sister to cancer (breast cancer) about 7 years ago which brings up some emotions along with it. My husband also lost both of his parents to cancer so we're both a little emotional.
I'm not sure what I need, whether its reassurance about the procedure (because the thought of getting a needle in my neck makes me want to puke), or just reassurance about possible results. I've read that even if its worse case scenario, that its a good prognosis.
Has anyone had an FNA? Is it mostly generally okay? What was your experience?

My parents, baby boomer generation, are generally tight lipped about their finances. They've had a financial advisor for decades now, but aside from that, I know very little about their finances.
The other day while talking, my mom mentioned that their advisor has had them roll their 401k into an annuity after every $50k saved. So it sounds like they have very little in a "true" 401k. I know they have many other investments, including cash saving, term (or whole?) Life insurance, etc.
Reading online, it sounds like annuities are great for guaranteed income in retirement, but other than that, there's quite a few risks. Does my parents financial guy know what he's doing? Or is he just making himself money?

I have had my pixel 8 a week and it is noticeable to me how hot it gets doing very little.
I have already turned off 5g, but for example today I was sitting listening to music over Bluetooth headphones and just generally browsing (socials and web browsing) and the phone was very warm indeed after only a few minutes.
Is this typical? Is the 8 pro better? Am thinking of returning it but not sure as I mostly really like it. Was looking at the exynos S24 but I'm not that would fair better according to what I have read.

Hello, So I just finished nbme 26 and now want to revise it. Can someone walk me through how you’d review it? Do you go question by question. Read the explanation and move on or go back to FA and revise it? Do you just review the correct answer topic or also review the topics mentioned in other options? How many days is the ideal time to finish reviewing one nbme? Like how many questions per day? I can’t spend the whole day reviewing nbme as I still have Uworld to finish and systems/ general stuff to study. I plan on doing one Uworld block everyday so the how many nbme questions can I add along with it? Also about the incorrects of nbme, should I make a separate Anki deck for it? (mind you I’m already doing a Uworld deck everyday and that takes time too) And once I’m done, should I get on with the next nbme or take time to revise stuff? I’m planning on giving my exam in the first half of July but I still have a lot to study. Pls if someone can suggest the ‘realistic’ and not ‘idealistic’ approach to it, I’ll be truly grateful to you. TIA

I'm new to this and I just want to run my own coding related LLM for privacy reasons while at least trying to keep energy consumption low.
I read so many different things on so many different posts I got quite confused. I apologize in advance for all the questions, please just pick what you feel like answering, the most important ones to me are the first 4.
I own a 4090. I read that 2x 3090 is a lot better because of the VRAM allowing bigger models. I also read models are becoming smaller / more efficient by the week and 1x 4090 outperforms 1x 3090. Furthermore I click on huggingface benchmarks and see that for coding the highest ranked models are 7b / 33b. Not only that but I also read about people running 70b models on just 1x 4090 (with very different results). My mainboard is supporting 1x PCIe 5.0 x16 and 1x PCIe 4.0 x4.
This raises the questions: 1) Are really 7b/33b models the best there are for coding and superior to 70b ones? 2) Does running 7b/33b models on 2x3090 have any benefit over 1x 4090 apart from higher t/s? 3) On the assumption that 1) is answered with yes, what is the probability of 1x 4090 not being sufficient in the near future due to yet to come larger 70b+ models outperforming the current ones? 4) Is a dual GPU setup with a consumer board that only allows for x4 on the second PCIe bus really fine / worth getting a new GPU for?
As for buying 1x or 2x 3090 I'm considering power consumption and value loss over time (I would expect the 4090 to drop a lot after 50xx series gets released in Q4 2024 or whenever while a 3090 bought now is already dirt cheap and probably wouldn't drop as much).
Resulting in these questions (please remember my application is coding): 5) Is a 1x 4090 1x 3090 setup any good or would 2x 3090s come awfully close in performance to the point where the 4090 is not worth it in a dual GPU setup? 6) Would an NVLink setup of 2x 3090 outperform 1x 4090 and 1x 3090 that can't make use of NVLink? 7) Is the higher power consumption of 2x 3090 justifiable by taking into account that LLMs only process information when asked to, 2x 3090 processing faster than 1x 4090 and therefore potentially not needing that much more power in total because the total time span of usage is lower? Or would idle power consumption be the main factor here? 8) Is selling the 4090 and buying 2x used 3090s worth the hassle? Like I know my 4090 is perfectly fine and I would not know that about the used 3090s that I would need to buy. Generally I trust myself to test used cards to the point that they do their job and are not in too shabby condition but it would be quite time consuming so it wouldn't be worth it for a minor upgrade.
Finally, the OS question. I read that Linux generally performs better than Windows for LLMs. Despite that I have also read that undervolting the GPU to have it run more efficiently is not possible in Linux. However, setting a power limit is possible. (( I stumbled upon this about undervolting but I would rather not fry my GPU trying things I have no idea of - even though AI exists to teach me about it ))
9) Is undervolting negligible as long as a power limit is set?
