first time posting!
i recently got the homepod mini at the airport as it was on sale to replace my alexa which was damaged by my aircon leaking (lol). i had been thinking of switching to the homepod as i am fully integrated into the apple ecosystem: iphone, ipad, airpods, macbook, apple music you name it
however i did not realise that the siri functionality was this terrible…
alexa was able to announce reminders/notifications/events at specific times, and siri seems unable to do that, or the set reminders/events will just reroute itself to iphone. also automations on alexa were more beginner friendly i guess?
the sound quality is amazing and aesthetically the device itself is great but i feel like the homepod is too dependent on the iphone if that makes sense? there are no separate settings for siri on my phone and my homepod, which makes it more complicated. also the settings in the home app are so limited? it’s a bit of a hassle to configure homekit in so many individual apps.
i feel like i got duped into buying a stupid smart speaker 😭 like i really did not realise that the homepod cannot announce reminders. for basic commands it does okay but i literally just want my homepod to remind me to take my adhd meds in the morning
will future updates maybe improve (or even actually add) this? also, if anyone has any shortcuts please let me know, i am very dumb when it comes to ios shortcuts. i do think eventually i will get the hang of it!

Hi guys, I have a UDM Pro connected to a Fritzbox and set as exposed host. (Need the Fritzbox for Coax and landline) I noticed on Sunday that I wasn't able to download Apps from the App Store anymore while everything on the Appstore itself loads without issues. That alone was kinda weird imho but it gets weirder - Netflix is able to load the site and everything but streams play a few seconds and then buffer infinitely (and eventually throw errors), I am not able to reach my network controller anymore through unifi.ui.com (though accessing it using the local IP works) and downloading from some sites fails every few seconds due to ssl decryption errors (same with wget). For some reason though all of these issues only occur in the UDM Pros network. Using the Fritzbox directly (wifi and lan) works without any issues and for some reason even using a vpn (don't have a subscription that's easily replicable unfortunately but my uni has a vpn to access internal resources etc. which I've used) fixes those issues. I restarted/reseted everything I could (all switches, APs. UDM. FritzBox), tried different ports on the FritzBox and on the UDM Pro and also went through several OS versions but the only thing I learned aside from the fact that this seems to occur on multiple ver 3s as well as on 4.0.3 is, that even wget on the udm itself fails (I updated by pulling the binary onto my laptop, scping it onto the udm and updating via unifis ssh command) and updates/installations of unifi applications fail as well. According to the internet the decryption errors can happen when there's a lot of corrupted data so id think there's a faulty interface or something but ifconfig shows there are no rx/tx errors on any interface and none of these issues occur when using a vpn so maybe (hopefully) not?
I gotta be honest, this issue is really confusing to me and im kind of running out of stuff to test/troubleshoot so I was wondering if you guys maybe had some Ideas as to what could be causing this and if its even caused by the UDM itself or something else.

These Official Rules, and any action related thereto, will be governed by the Federal Arbitration Act, federal arbitration law and the laws of the State of California without regard to conflict of laws provisions. This arbitration provision shall survive termination of these Official Rules.
   
3. Exceptions. As limited exceptions to Section 15(a) above: (i) we both may seek to resolve a Dispute in small claims court if it qualifies; and (ii) we each retain the right to seek injunctive or other equitable relief from a court to prevent (or enjoin) the infringement or misappropriation of our intellectual property rights.
   
4. Conducting Arbitration and Arbitration Rules. The arbitration will be conducted by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules (the “AAA Rules”) then in effect, except as modified by these Official Rules. The AAA Rules are available at www.adr.org or by calling 1-800-778-7879. A party who wishes to start arbitration must submit a written Demand for Arbitration to AAA and give notice to the other party as specified in the AAA Rules. The AAA provides a form Demand for Arbitration at www.adr.org. Any arbitration hearings will take place in the county (or parish) where you live, unless we both agree to a different location. The parties agree that the arbitrator shall have exclusive authority to decide all issues relating to the interpretation, applicability, enforceability and scope of this arbitration agreement.
   
5. Arbitration Costs. Payment of all filing, administration and arbitrator fees will be governed by the AAA Rules, and we won’t seek to recover the administration and arbitrator fees we are responsible for paying, unless the arbitrator finds your Dispute frivolous. If we prevail in arbitration we’ll pay all of our attorneys’ fees and costs and won’t seek to recover them from you. If you prevail in arbitration you will be entitled to an award of attorneys’ fees and expenses to the extent provided under applicable law.
   
6. Injunctive and Declaratory Relief. Except as provided in 13(b) above, the arbitrator shall determine all issues of liability on the merits of any claim asserted by either party and may award declaratory or injunctive relief only in favor of the individual party seeking relief and only to the extent necessary to provide relief warranted by that party’s individual claim. To the extent that you or we prevail on a claim and seek public injunctive relief (that is, injunctive relief that has the primary purpose and effect of prohibiting unlawful acts that threaten future injury to the public), the entitlement to and extent of such relief must be litigated in a civil court of competent jurisdiction and not in arbitration. The parties agree that litigation of any issues of public injunctive relief shall be stayed pending the outcome of the merits of any individual claims in arbitration.
   
7. Class Action Waiver. YOU AND ZAM AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. Further, if the parties’ Dispute is resolved through arbitration, the arbitrator may not consolidate another person’s claims with your claims, and may not otherwise preside over any form of a representative or class proceeding. If this specific provision is found to be unenforceable, then the entirety of this Dispute Resolution and Arbitration section shall be null and void.
   
8. Severability. With the exception of any of the provisions in Section 15(f) (“Class Action Waiver”), if an arbitrator or court of competent jurisdiction decides that any part of these Official Rules is invalid or unenforceable, the other parts of these Official Rules will still apply.
   
9. Languages. These Official Rules may be made in multiple language versions. In the event of a dispute as to the terms of different language versions, the English version shall prevail.

The NYTimes did a story on him when he was doing this with cheater type sites. Now he is doing it with slander sites, and his reputation company was changed from RepZe to RemoveReports. nytimes.com/interactive/2021/04/24/technology/online-slander-websites.html
You wonder how you got on Gripeo to begin with? RemoveReport's Martin Horan / Vikram Parmar (same person) posted you on there using AI. He gets his contacts from press outlets that reputation companies publish to or scrolls the internet looking for wealthy people who have a negative article online about them, then writes a story about you.
If you reach out to Gripeo to remove your post, you will suddenly get an email from Martin Horan at RemoveReports that he can remove it for a few thousand dollars. It is the same person who owns Gripeo under an alias. You will pay Martin Horan to remove Gripeo and it will be removed within a few days, but then it will pop up on a dozen other sites that he owns and he will want more money. He will go by fake names over and over. Other sites he controls that he will extort you with are Complaintsboard, Defaulters.com, Letmeexpose.is, Scamion, ScamPulse, DirtyScam, HolySmoke, LawTally, ProConsumer.com, CompaintBox.com, NameandShame.com, IsItaScam.com and many others.
His Freelancer.com page is also a scam, he goes by "Growth Hacker", the "SmartVMP". He will write extortion pieces on his sites, then convince the client that they need to hire him to fix it.
His full legal name is Vikramsinh Parmar but he goes by Nathan Howard and Amit Tiwari. He claims Gripeo is under new ownership, but it is not. He pretends that so he can escape a lawsuit by Telf AG, currently in litigation in Los Angeles County. He lives in India, so he will probably escape it. But he has been in jail before in India for running another scam. As the NYTimes story above said, he used to run a company called RepZe. Once he got busted, he started RemoveReports.com. He will probably start another reputation company again to hide.

So, you wonder how to combat this extortionist? Hire a reputation management company to do suppression on his slander. They will create positive articles about you to outrank it, and make it nearly impossible to be found. Whatever you do, do not pay for a removal on any of his sites. You will be stuck like I was in a never endling loop of paying extortion fees.

TDLR: Ex texted a bestfriend behind my back ending of last year ruining the friendship. Broke up with her, during that time I rekindled with someone else while occasionally texting my ex still not back together. Felt like I missed the warmth of my ex and dropped the new girl going back to my ex fully beginning of this year. Missed the support and love from my ex that I never truly got. Girl told me ex about our dirty laundry, causing trust issues in the whole relationship. Tried fixing them by removing girls, sharing location, etc. I felt scared my ex is gonna get revenge and started being distant at the end which pushed her away as well. We broke up beginning of May this year. I thought we would get back together as always, found out she’s been adding guys she removed a long time ago. Hello all, This is gonna be long. I really appreciate anyone who takes time to read and help with some words. I have no therapist or friends this seems like the best option.
I have never posted on here but seriously feel torn up. I know that I have been in the wrong in all this but I truly was dealing with a weed addiction till I finally sobered up and realized how fucked I am. This relationship has been a rollercoaster, but something I didn’t want to get off. She showed me many first things and it was my longest relationship of three years. She cared for me when I had no job, to every job, skinny fat, etc and I did the same with her struggles. To make a long story short back in August of 2023 I found my ex texting one of my bestfriends that worked with her at the time(I had quit that spot and found another job). No lust or crazy texts just work laughing but I confronted her about it it was jealousy and she said it was nothing.
After a few weeks come September I kept feeling this jealousy boil over. If she had texted anybody else I wouldn’t have said much but I felt like cause it was MY friend she should have brought up the convo they had even if it was light and funny. I was pestering her about him, she then decided to text him behind my back saying I’m being jealous. They text back and forth and he’s calling me a kid and disrespecting me even though he’s known me for longer, and she was laughing sending him laughing emojis and stuff. He then texted me asking me to fight because somehow she told him I threatened him. I got pissed she ruined a friendship and told her I’m done blocked her on everything. From September to December 2023 I was all alone focused on work and meeting new people. In December I rekindled with a girl I knew no feelings just stupid lust. While talking to the new girl, my ex sends me a heartfelt email since I had blocked her on everything, saying she’s sorry and understands I don’t want to hear from her but wishes me the best. I softened up and began texting her here and there, but still was talking to the new girl.
After a while in Jan/Feb 2024 I met with the girl I had rekindled with and we had done some things. However during this time I started seriously missing my ex and the way I felt comfortable around her. So I was talking to my ex again fully and wanted to make it work again. The problem came when my ex wanted to visit me since she’s long distance. She flew all the way to me and everything was good, till that new girl decided she wasn’t getting my attention anymore and texted my ex lying to her telling her I was begging for her etc. My ex broke down and asked why and I childishly said because of what she had done by texting my bestfriend and that we weren’t together. She cried in my arms and I balled with her cause I truly didn’t want to hurt this girl like this. I offered her to leave me and understood I fucked up. But to my surprise she wanted to stay and asked to fix our trust. I tried my hardest to fix it, I gave her my social passwords, she had my location, everything she wanted she got, even removed all girl friends to gain trust and she removed guys. However after some time around March 2024 I felt like all that I did wasn’t building up that trust again, and I began having flashbacks to trauma where I got left and cheated on within a week. I felt like my ex got back with me to seek revenge. So I started pushing her away scared.
During April she came again to visit me and booked a flight without asking me to pay or anything and genuinely asked to spend every minute of the day with me. I should have taken her coming to see me without me asking as her sign of true love but I ignored it.
Beginning of May 2024 came and our problems began. I started seeing her go out with friends to bars, even to houses I didn’t know and she would take a little longer to respond. I began thinking something is up due to my trauma and started being distant with her. She kept asking me to stop doing this, and cried a few times but I was truly scared of behind hurt and thought by being distant I’m protecting myself. She told me this once and it’s stuck with me “you’re gonna regret doing this”. After that convo she became cold with me too to the point where I didn’t even know who she was anymore. Our final convo was May10. We argued on the phone, and she blamed me for everything, I brought my ex bestfriend and her and how they hurt me she said she had already apologized and I said I did too for cheating but I knew what I did hurt more. She told me to leave her tf alone that I haven’t been the man she needs saying she’s seen better guys treat gfs better etc. That she wants time alone that she wouldn’t go around like I did with girls fucking randoms guys. I blocked her but I genuinely thought we would breakup and get back together as always.
However a week passed and I heard nothing. For some reason I felt like I deserved an apology cause during our arguments I was being more respectful and it felt like she kept saying stuff on purpose to hurt me. I saw she had logged onto my socials and I locked her out and logged out of her accounts cause I felt like it was better. However I was still stalking her Instagram following number and began seeing it go up fast. I started getting guys being suggested to me that follow her and I noticed it was all guys she used to work with and removed for “trust”. I felt broken cause it felt like she did what my first ex with the trauma did , just move on within a week. I felt sad, but the sadness turned to anger. I thought by burning bridges I could move on quicker. And I began blowing her up with calls to no answer, so I switched to texting and said some of the most heinous shit I’ve said to anyone. I then texted her mom telling her her daughter got a new type being childish but nothing too disrespectful to the mom. I texted the dad however and called his daughter names, which he got back at me with a threat and called me childish and that he’s happy his daughter isn’t with someone like me and to lose their numbers. I said lmao cool being even more childish.
I genuinely felt bad the same day I texted the parents this. I felt like bringing them into childish arguments and saying what I said made me look like a true child which I try not to be fast in situations but I was impatient and dumb. I felt like I was the one being stubborn in the relationship and pushed her away, then got upset when she did walk away I just didn’t appreciate her at the end and it hurts my soul I’ve felt this heaviness on my chest ever since like I lost the person for me. I know blaming it on the weed is childish but I feel like it game me that I don’t give a F feeling till it bit me in the ass. I spoke to my only friend and my parents who didn’t even accept the relationship at first due to culture, but they told me I had fucked up and told me with time they will heal, and that in time I can send a message to the parents if I wanted to to get my conscious clear and be able to move on with a better image.
Is it smart to reach back out to the parents to show respect as an adult or just let them be? I know this was a lot but it’s on my heart and brain everyday since. A part of me says apologize in the hopes of getting this girl back one day which I know is selfish, the bigger part of me just hates the image I left of myself cause I have never left a relationship in this manner

During my Freshman year of college, I became friends with my next-door neighbors. I had just finished helping my dorm roommate move in when a knock was heard on my door. It was then that I met my next-door neighbors, (Sara) and (Maci), as they were knocking door to door to find potential friends on our floor. I ended up joining them, however, it remained just us for the rest of the day. This was the starting point of a friendship that would hardly last.
At first, I was drawn to Sara. She was very active and enjoyed doing outdoor tasks with me, but I later found myself much more connected to Maci. I had a rough childhood and that is something we tend to relate to and connect with. By the end of Freshman year, Maci and I were as close as ever, but Sara and I only hung out in group settings.
Sara had some noticeable behaviors that were a little unnerving to the rest of our group. 1.) She tended to attach herself to Maci and would get upset if anyone had plans with Maci without inviting her. 2.) She was always late. There was a day in which Maci, Sara, and I planned to get piercings. Maci and I had set up a departure time of 12 PM. However, Sara was coming out of the shower by then. We ended up leaving near 2. Maci and I are extremely time-sensitive so this has always been something that bothers us. Especially since Sara knows that she's always late and tends to make jokes about it as well. 3.) If she didn't make the plans... she's not going. Sara is used to being the center of attention. So naturally, she thinks she is obligated to handle all of our plans. If someone else decides that they want to plan a day of fun, it is usual for her to say that she has other things going on even if she doesn't. 4.) The (Oliver) situation... Oliver was a guy that Sara met through our university website. Oliver has been our friend ever since. During Freshman year, Oliver had developed feelings for Sara. When Oliver confessed, Sara had told him that she wasn't ready for a relationship and that he should wait for her. During this waiting period, she strung him along on date-like activities while actively hooking up with other people... even his best friend. His friend, (Noah), actively liked Sara as well. I mean, taking her on dates and dancing in front of car headlights kind of "like." However, Sara ended up leaving that potential relationship to date a High School Senior named (Garrett). This relationship didn't last long as a couple of months later he ghosted her. By this time, Oliver had already moved on and began seeing his now girlfriend, Callie. Sara had a huge problem with this and would avoid outings when Callie was in attendance.
Flash forward to the end of Freshman year: I decided that I wanted to get out of our traditional dorm rooms and get a dorm suite with my friends, Maci and Sara. I wanted to remain on campus in a dorm. However, Sara completely hijacked this idea and began searching for apartments. I hadn't even seen the apartment complex I was signing for when I received my lease agreement through an email. She had told me that I needed to hurry to get a certain amount off of our apartment. So, in a rush, I signed.

The Truth was an anthology in the purest sense of the word. Each episode was a new present to unwrap. It spanned multiple genres and styles. It billed itself as movies for the ears, and it certainly lived up to that description. Now, it is true that quite a few audio dramas fit that description, but you have to consider the context that The Truth occurred in. The first episode of The Truth premiered way back in 2011. The indie audio drama community was still very much in its infancy. Fiction podcasts tended to be short story readings like StarShipSofa or Lightspeed Magazine. If you were lucky, you might get something like The Drabblecast, with music and sound-effects added to the mix. The Truth was a full-cast show, performed rather than read, and with immersive sound-effects and music.
There are over 200 episodes to choose from, but since this is a spaceflight subreddit, I wanted to highlight one episode in particular.
“Moon Graffiti” is an alternate history piece about the Apollo 11 mission. In this story, The Eagle comes in for a crash landing on the Moon. The lander’s capsule is damaged in such a way that it can’t launch into orbit. Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin are stranded on the Moon until their oxygen runs out. After that, they will go down in history as the first men to die on the Moon. They take their remaining time to chat and muse about the nature of life and mortality.
This was the very first episode of The Truth ever, and they certainly started out of the gate strong. As you might imagine, the alternate history premise piqued my interest. This scenario was very much a concern during the real Apollo 11 mission. In fact, President Richard Nixon had a speech prepared just in case Armstrong and Aldrin became stranded on the Moon. The speech is actually read at the very end of the episode. The actor sounds nothing like Nixon, but he certainly captures the emotion of the speech. Ironically, there was a memorial to the victims of the Apollo 1 fire included with the other equipment on the lander.
What would it be like to experience such a stroke of bad luck? You are stranded hundreds of thousands of miles from home with no hope of rescue. You can see death slowly, but surely, creeping towards you. I try my best not to think too much about death, but the thought proves rather intrusive. I don’t know how I would like to die, as I would very much not like to die at all. But I’m also keenly aware that the reaper will claim me sooner or later.
Yeah, there are a lot of implications on how such a disaster would impact the Space Race. However, this episode is presented as a very intimate story about two men complimenting their own imminent mortality. I am of the opinion that this was absolutely the right move.

I m 26 have been friends with Cassie F 33 for close to 10 years now. Cassie is this wannabe influencer. She's very photogenic so we'd always take pics of each other and our outfits in whatever activity. Cassie is very picky on her pics and id always end up taking more photos of her. Over the years Cassie has been getting overbearing with trying to be like a influencer. Cassie always tries to copy the latest trendy posts on her social media and it gives off as a very try hard vibe. My social media always has to have at least several photos or videos on what Cassie is doing or done and it got kinda eye rollingly annoying. I muted her post but she noticed why I haven't liked or commented so I had to go back and like some to later on having to unmute her. Now onto the main issue, Cassie wants to go out to all these trendy places she's seen on tik tok and makes these plans for us and I end up driving and she doesn't cover the cost of gas or my food. We would go to some concerts and I ended up paying for both of us and our trip to the cities was hijacked by her in places she wanted to go to be she seen it on tik tok and the places I wanted to go she wasn't too interested. Being at those places consisted of me being her photographe videographer and her half ass taking my pictures. This wasn't a big deal at first until a lot of my phone gallery is a lot pics of her and 5 pics of me sending them was dreadful. I had this concert that I'm going to and she found out about it and invited herself not knowing its a date w my bf. I don't tell her my personal life anymore and kept that way. I did confirm that I'm going and already had plans for the day. She insisted in herself going and tried to tell me to sit close to her on other seats bc she couldn't afford floor be she just got back from Coachella. She even tried to convince me to sneak her in floor. I decline both ideas. Cassie texted me that day of and asked what time to meet her to pick her up. I told her that I wasn't going to meet her as I get off work later still avoiding telling her I have a date. My bf and I got to the concert and we ignored her calls until the end. finally met up and my bf was just introduced as a mutual from work and Cassie wanted me to take pics. The same thing happened where she does more energy for her photo. but only takes a few. Cassie asked if my bf was okay bc she felt a vibe that he didn't like her. I didn't notice but I guess my bf made a face to the way Cassie went about the photos. We left and we got in the car and my bf confessed that he didn't like her. He even asked why am I still friends with someone like her. My bf genuinely ask me why haven't I blocked her yet as he says that's she's just using me. WIBTA if I just drop her without telling her why? Or is there another way to go about this?

In workbook 2, I have text in cell A1. The text could be a website url, or the filepath of a file in windows, or whatever.
In workbook1, I want to build a Hyperlink formula which gets its "link_location" from cell A1 in Workbook2.
I build the following formula in, say, cell C3 of Workbook1:
=HYPERLINK('C:\Users\JohnDoe\Desktop\[Workbook2.xlsx]Sheet1'!$A$1,"Test")
The hyperlink works correctly, and opens the website/file/whatever listed in cell A1 of Workbook2... but only if Workbook2 is open. As soon as I close Workbook2, clicking the link in Workbook1 does nothing. It's still there, and does not give any error (even after F2->Enter). It just... does nothing when clicked.
Now, if I go to Workbook1, and in cell, say, E5, I enter the following formula:
='C:\Users\JohnDoe\Desktop\[Workbook2.xlsx]Sheet1'!$A$1
This populates cell E5 in Workbook1 with the text from cell A1 of Workbook2. If I then replace the formula in cell C3 of Workbook1 with the following formula:
=HYPERLINK(E5,"Test")
Then the link works, and continues to work even when Workbook2 is closed.
What gives? Is there a way to make this work without the "middle man" formula?

So I met a girl in a flirting site 5 months ago, but then she asked can we talk normally instead of flirting I said okay and we started talking normally, she said she liked the vibe and asked my Snapchat, I gave her and we used to talk then and there, few months later she asked my ig too, it went well, we never talked too much and we were not close, but I said her that I have closure problems because of my past and she knew some of my insecurites too.. I met them at a point in my life when I was finally gaining confidence, seeking help, taking care of my appearance and hanging out w/ friends.
When we met on an app, it was like reuniting with an old friend, we just clicked immediately. We had the same humor, interests, mindset, and taste in music. We would spend hours sharing Elden Ring memes, and I made them fanart for their bday.
I was convinced that for the first time in my life I could possibly get a chance to be loved. the two months we spent together were the best in my opinion. It felt so good to be with someone so handsome, and such a great personality too.
There were times when I told him that I was so grateful to have met such a wonderful person, and in return I was told that I was the only person who responded on the app. I ignored it, because I kept thinking that he also found me attractive as well.
Then May 2023 came around, he came by after not seeing me for a week, I missed them so much and work at the time was really getting me down due to an ab*sive boss.
He told me that he didn't feel a "spark" for weeks...that they needed to move on to better options, at one point they felt the same but they decided that they never felt anything for me. I had a panic attack and cried so much. It was the same day that my boss told me that I wasn't good enough, and to come home and be told that was overwhelming.
I tried to express how I felt, but I couldn't because I cried so much. He left me sobbing on my apt floor, 5 minutes late I heard my bell ring and I jumped up assuming it as all fake but instead there was a cop there.
I was being recorded on a body cam and beyond humiliated, because in all the times I tried to make memories for us with pictures and museum trips, this was the only time I was recorded.
I never forgot, but I know for sure that you found that better option. You're most likely with your dream girl and my pain was worth it, I know I've been forgotten.

Hi I am looking for a recommendation for a home assistance/ digital wall calendar. I’ve always used personal planners or regular calendars but lately I’m trouble keeping up with scheduling recurring tasks and remembering to write things outs and I want to also kind of download my brain into notes and tasks and schedule chores so my spouse can take things off my plate and see the list of the various competing priorities that need to be handled.
Wishlist of features:

1. Digital Touch screen calendar that can be displayed from a device on our counter or wall mounted. With a clean look, color coded, that can switch from monthly, weekly, daily.
2. Large screen- at least 10 inches but preferably like 15-20
3. I’d like the calendar to be the default app/widget displayed at all times.
4. Coordinating App that can be on my husbands and my phones that can feed into that calendar so we can add things on the go. 4. Options for both a personal calendawork calendar and family calendar. It would be nice if the personal calendar was private. I have to dos and daily items that I don’t need taking up space on the family calendar, but id like to be able to access it from the same hub.
5. I’m like to set up many of the items as recurring: such as kids schedules, work schedules (we both are hybrid for work) cleaning/chore schedules, home maintenance, personal care.
6. It would be great if I could set daily tasks that can be checked off, so we can see what didn’t get done and needs to get done by the end of the week.
7. A notes or like long-term no due date section for me to write out the random things that pop into my head that need to get done but aren’t time sensitive. And that could be checked off.
8. The ability to set reminders for upcoming appointments.
9. I plan to write out our dinners/meals here, Maybe bills although I do like the spreadsheets app we use for that so maybe not.
10. Maybe like little icons or something to mark simple things like trash day, that wouldn’t need to be a “event” or “task” or take up space in that manner.

I’ve looked into the skylight calendar, but it’s hard to justify spending $300 for a tool that really only does one thing. If I’m going to spend that kind of money I feel like it should have the internet or music or just more features. I also have a couple friends that have it and say that the system is missing a lot of useful features like having to click elsewhere to see chores and no reminders for tasks
I looked at the echo, but I just hate the screen of it- like the constantly updating widgets, and news, and it’s just annoyingly overwhelming.
I dk if I’m being too specific and picky, so would love to hear others thoughts and perspectives.

Just another rambling...
After listening to Family Ties and other songs like Rich Spirit, do you guys feel any desire or obligation to help fans of Aubrey? If we were to go as far back as TPaB, we can see how Kendrick has been trying to shed light into the inner workings of the industry and it hasn't been until now that more people are waking up to it. This may come across as a cultish perspective but if Dot, (and other individuals such as Katt Williams), haven't given up on spreading their message about the industry, should we give up on our fellow music lovers? Particularly those at Drizzy?
Even in Kendrick's music he's literally warning him to stop poking him in his music - time and time again. He makes mention of trying to help Aubrey multiple times:

• "Only rapper who could offer you some help. Fuck a rap battle, this a lifelong battle with yourself." - Meet the Grahams
  

Dot also alludes to his connection with his family possibly doing nefarious things right in the title of Family Ties? (Might be a reach but strongly disagree given the whole song is dissing this man). I recall someone mentioning Aubrey's uncle as well at one point in this sub. Rich Spirit breaks down Aubrey's online antics even further and how he's doing it for the masses - "overnight activist" where he keeps talking about black awards and whatnot when he doesn't win one and how we should all be appreciated, yet he remains mum about black violence or anything else and only continues to glorify it in his music. His constant post with claims of prayers on IG yet he claims to be ordering hits on others in a wild juxtaposition as to who or what he claims to be.
If we are to believe Kendrick, (and I do given he didn't speak out until he became independent possibly), then this man is truly evil and always has been. Fuck rap as a whole, people are being swayed just cause boy's writers make catchy one liners. One-liners that get you trapped into this whole nihilistic lifestyle that's only propped up by this illusion of money.
I'm going to continue listening to Kendrick's catalog. I think we've all missed a lot of jewels tbh, but would love to know thoughts from this sub. I enjoy TwoSet moderately, not a hardcore fan precisely because of some reasons below.

1. The new video’s title is so ridiculous? “Contemporary music is a joke.” Many contemporary compositions are meant to be soundscapes and explorations of methodology, not “pretty music” or whatever. This is not even that ne; it has been done ever since Pierrot. New notation systems are nothing to laugh about because ALL notations are approximations of sound. It is fine if you say you don’t enjoy some kinds of music, as I certainly don’t even listen to such experimental music, but the constant joking without proper substantiation is so annoying.
   
2. This is just a trend in general. Their takes on the viola and popular music are so reductive and downright annoying or offensive.
   
3. Yes, I know Twsoset is a comedy channel. But let’s reckon with the fact that they are insanely popular and they shape how casual musicians/non-musicians think about classical music/musicians. Whether they like it or not, they are influencing others.
   

And no, I do not take “it’s just a joke” as a sufficient defense. - The joke has a very real impact. I know so so many musicians in real life who are uncomfortable with TwoSet’s humor or similar rhetorics that reverberate everywhere. Some of my non-musician friends simply believe for real the viola as a lesser instrument. - The jokes are not even jokes at times. At the end of this new video, they were serious when talking about how intellectual music is just a circle of inner jokes. That critique is fine—but it shows that their jokes indeed do reflect their opinions, and instead of espousing their opinions in a productive manner, they are so so reductive. - The jokes are unnecessary and overused. I enjoy their videos such as the “who did it better” recent video so so much more. It is NOT necessary to defer to these overused, unoriginal jokes to be popular, and they’re already popular!
I don’t even want to make a net judgement that TS is bad. I just want them to reconsider these videos and patterns.
Probably will get massively downvoted, but I hope some people hear my views and give feedback to TS.

As the title says. I have some ear damage that resulted in chronic tinnitus (ear ringing). In living with this condition I've noticed that I cannot use headphones, even at low volumes, without it adversely affecting the condition. The only time I was able to use headphones without having adverse effects, the volume was so low it was inaudible during quiet segments of game or music.
So, long story short, I must use speakers... And no I don't have surround sound, nor do I have the income at the moment to get a setup for that. It'll just be regular old tv speakers for me.
Is this game still gonna be worth playing? I am sure the story and the characters and the gameplay are all still great, but I've been getting the impression from some online articles that without headphones you're not really playing the game. I'd be real sad to not experience the game, as I loved Hellblade 1 (which I did enjoy over speakers though). But that's just my reality wish an injury.

Sorry for any mistakes I make English is not my first language. I am very excited to be coming over to America in September to start my studies in September, but I am bit nervous of cultural differences about being a European (Swiss) student and not knowing anyone.
Basically a friend of mine moved to California to play hockey (not NHL/super famous) and he mentioned a few things that make me feel as though I won’t fit in. He described California (and specifically LA) as a place where people care a lot about fashion and like to go out and party, but I’ve always been more laid back/introverted person. Don’t get me wrong, there are things about LA I love - I’m a very outdoorsy person and loved going for walks on the beach when I toured the city - but I’m not really into techno music or alcohol drinking so worried it will be hard to make friends.
The other thing that I was told is that it can be hard to date as a white guy. I’m a tall, skinny, white man with glasses so I definitely don’t have the physique that most women seem to like. My friend told me that muscular dark skin/black men seem to be what American women want. Everyone likes what they like so it’s no problem for me, but I’m wondering if there’s a gym that non musclar men go to or if there’s a club for European students to meet other EU students.
I know that social life is not the reason we study, but I also also want to enjoy my time in America and meet new people. If anyone wants to chat or play chess DM me!

Because it soothes me for some time, until the admiration for the mechanics or story fate away and I'm naked again.
When I play a complex, demanding video game I'm able to proof myself, to myself.
I don't play with other people and I only play them in english, a foreign tongue to me, as you might have guessed already.
Some of those games, I've to restart over and over, dive deep into the gameplay / mechanics until I get a gist of how to solve the problems which are presented to me.
At those moment I feel a glimpse of joy.
It can be very demanding and very frustrating, even infuriating, still I keep playing because it is something I did for over 37 years.
What killed the enjoyment for me and when: A massive inner conflict, a constant voice which screamed at me that I should stop, that I've to realize how my time is fading away, I felt it since I was 18teen.
That I should keep drawing or go for a walk, find new friends, enjoyment in other activities than gaming.
I did exactly nothing of that, I kept on gaming, only for short periods of time I turned this insanity which even lasted for several years, 16hrs a day, no job, around and started to work, met my first love.
And I always continuously hated myself for my shortcomings, for being too late.
"Win or lose, as long as you're alive there is always a chance!"
Games gifted me in short moments, experiences, with visions of stellar art which were and are extremely exhilarating.
But like with all thing in life, you can even kill yourself by drinking too much water.
The absolute glaring issue was the moment when I realized that I'm unable to life without it and if I lay down on gaming, that I will just sit in my room and not move at all, for days, even weeks, suffering, not knowing what to do.
How to create myself in any way?
And if I ever found a solution for it or felt like a normal human being again, for some weeks, because I was finally able to stop it for some time, I obviously got bored and started again and hardly did I ever remember how good I felt often before I gave in to video games again.
Music, especially metal, driving with my bicycle, exercising.
Those three things mostly immediately dispel the insanity in me.
But there is always something missing, be it friends or family, living without any social contacts, besides at work, leave me with an open chest for all the emotions around me, which I suck up like a sponge.
Then I take some cbd drops 10%-20% "full" spectrum oil and feel far far calmer, nearly pure again.
But then again, I might eat something with too much sugar or get aggravated over a certain topic, physical pain, sudden lack of self-love and I'm back at the start again.
I started reading comics again, maybe 6 months ago, I would call them the best, but well what do I know, I stopped with the hobby because back then I lacked the money, now I submerged myself for example in vagabond, berserk, blame!.
It is a way of experiencing some excitement outside of my addiction and it really helps when I know that there is something I'm able to gravitate towards to. Something on which I can keep my focus for one or two hrs a day.
Stress at work, bore out or being not true to myself, getting asked "How do you feel" those things drive me to gaming.

Hi guys I would like to play an instrument, I’ve always been interested in music but never had the money, now that I do I’m hesitant.
I love both guitars and basses but I do have a preference for the bass, it has that “I’m sexy” sound to it, on the other hand guitars are pretty popular and that helps with learning as we probably all know one guitarist (I know 4).
I feel like I might get more satisfying results with a guitar as well, since bass kind of ties the other instruments together (At least it feels like it)
So yeah what are your thoughts ? (One thing to note is that I will definitely get the other at some point in time)
