Chapter sixteen

2024.05.15 04:15 Gldfsh_vinillaCronch Chapter sixteen

~Neptori~
A party was indeed hosted, set up to surround the burning mass of grass that the second creature had been hidden inside, the two severed heads spiked on massive rose thorns high above the half acre of angry flame were eyeless and toothless. Trophies for the queen’s pet Faeries and Fairies.
Tori was half certain she had seen a demon amongst the deadly, fake-friendly, party goers. His eyes didn’t just reflect the fire, they were made from fire. Sparks flew and skittered over his high cheekbones as they made eye contact in passing. A chill went down her spine, a warning and a threat.
She followed quickly after the queen, her gown had been replaced with a shorter gown resembling a white iris flower, the shoes of course matching to look like the stem. High, high heels that didn’t even touch the ground. They hovered over the ground as she fluttered her wings to stay just above her people. A subtle band of wild roses sat on her brow, Neptori only wondered about the thorns and how a flower could be so pale and yet so brightly yellow. Fluffy and tiny, the roses faintly resembled the clouds as the sun fell to make way for darkness in night.
Someone, at some point, had made sunflowers grow twice as tall as they were. They lined the main scenes of the party, their strong, velvety leaves bore golden, burning lanterns. An ashy pink smoke filtered flower shaped holes in the circular… those weren’t lanterns- fairies were nocturnal! Those were burning herbs, were they to keep predators away from the party or to heighten the pixie magic warping the sizes of everything. She took a light whiff taking in the earthy smell, the note of citrine and then the smell of honey fresh from a beehive… she suddenly felt very light. Shaking her head to shake the feeling, she finally caught up to the queen's side. Wings would have been entirely advantageous in this situation, Tori would have to do with waiting till the queen had settled on her throne at hearing distance.
Around and around the party they went, Tori being shown off like a prized pony. The queen didn’t seem to be too hated by her people, it was strange that she had said so earlier. Neptori pinched her brow trying to keep her thoughts from derailing. No, play by her rules and she will have to let Tori go. That’s what she would have to do. So around and around she went some more. Fairies drenched her in new garments. As they were the fashion capital of the realm, they were exceedingly horrified by a poor woman’s rags. Neptori accepted their gifts, too afraid to offend to deny the strange things they put on her. Her coat had been torn from her at some point, her trousers had been replaced with a purple petticoat and a pink pearl corset. Her boots were gone and her feet cried out in pain as she felt the dirt and clovers underfoot. As her toes dug into the soft heaven that was nature. A giggle escaped her, a scraggly cry really. It hurt but it was amazing. She couldn’t remember the last time she had taken her boots off. Her smell was ripe and rank but she didn’t care, her toes weren’t cramped up!
she turned to see if the queen could see- but there was nobody. Just an empty field and those burning herbs finally burning up. The smoke was so thin it fell in scraggly whisps. The morning air seemed too crisp and clean and untamed. She burst into a sprint down the path of trampled grasses. Strange flowers and shrubs had grown underfoot but they were walked all over by what must’ve been an enormous crowd. Then a light, brighter than the awakening blue overhead, the sun. The first rays yawned over the land, sending a golden and blue contrast into the world. She had never felt so at peace. So at one with her surroundings. Her face was numb and cold with it, or maybe the reverse but she was only paying attention to the awakening surrounding her.
The bees and birds and the fairies… everyone began to stir awake as slowly as if time was blinking awake with them. She just stared with watering eyes, taking in the magic that thickened in the air. The scent of apple blossoms washing over her as the land was engulfed in golden hues of every color. Then it was green. The sky was alive with fluffy white clouds, scattered across that simple barrier of blue. It was all so beautiful and it thrummed around her, in her veins it pulsed.
Everything just felt so right, then a shadow fell around her. She turned her surely very glassy eyes to find the queen standing a wreck before her. “There you are pet.” She said with a crooked grin. Her eyes were bright red and brought out the earthy green hues within her irises. Her iris party dress was limp and her band of fluffy yellow roses was gone.
“Wha- “What happened?” Neptori cried out as her knees came crashing down to the dirt and rocks and ashes and… what had happened? “Your very first fairy party it seems.” She waved a hand and the perfect scene made way for the glowing petal walls of the fairy palace.

2024.05.04 08:16 Busy_Refrigerator69 How do you start deity work with Loki?

So i recently started having a strong interest in Norse paganism and i was instantly drawn to Loki as soon a started doing research and i started asking people. So i have some questions if you don't mind helping out!
Q1: Ive set up an alter with many thing on it such as a fake candle that i decorated (as i cant have a real one in my room), crystals (green ones such as aventurine, a citrine, some rocks, a quartz and some others i dont know what they are lol), 4 cinnamon sticks, a plate for offerings (which currently has some cashews chocolate on it), some runes i wrote by hand and a picture of him i drew among some marvel themed Loki stuff i had laying around.
Is there anything else i should add? is that even a proper alter? Will he appreciate it?
Q2: How do you actually TALK to him? communicate and so fourth. Do you pray? Keep in mind I'm only just starting out so any info is helpful on the matter!
Q3: I put chocolate on my alter the other day and my mum came to me a few days later randomly as she was picking me up from school with a chocolate egg. She said i could do whatever i wanted with it. Is this a sign somehow?
Q4: Lots of people have said spiders are often a sign, is this true? I have a large fear of spiders but i se them everywhere! Lately, i haven't been seeing any... BUT today i found spider webs in my shoes?
Q5: How do i know when to change out my offering? And how do you know he liked it and 'took' it?
Am i overthinking everything with all this stuff? I just want to make a good impression and do it right the first time. Ive been seeing less and less of the spiders and things ive read are signs, but i did see that one sign is a strong attraction/love/pull to the colour green, which is SO me, green is my absolute favourite colour!
Anyone that can help out in any way, please do because i REALLY need it!
Thanks in advance!

🔗Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Carbon Beluga: Premium Comfort and Style

https://preview.redd.it/bqo7wzs2gtqc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6efbbab8c4783e91fe821a6e2482705d52faf313
I recently had the pleasure of trying on a pair of the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 'Carbon Beluga'. These shoes are a true work of art – the intricate patterned design is eye-catching, and the vibrant pops of color really make them stand out. The Primeknit upper is breathable and comfortable, allowing me to enjoy wearing these shoes every day.
One aspect that really stuck out to me was the responsive cushioning provided by the Boost midsole. The full-length cushioning made a huge difference in my stride, providing the perfect amount of comfort for a long day. However, despite their durability, I wouldn't recommend these shoes for aggressive activities due to their slightly delicate upper material.
Overall, the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 'Carbon Beluga' is a stunning and comfortable pair of shoes that anyone would love to add to their collection.

🔗Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Mono Cinder Shoes: Lightweight Mesh, Monochrome Design, and Ultimate Comfort

https://preview.redd.it/a7yo2c83gtqc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e93dbd1c6286b113b62e07eb42d8244287b65d1c
When I first tried on the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Mono Cinder, I was immediately struck by its sleek and stylish design. The monochromatic look, combined with the semi-translucent TPU cage, made for an eye-catching pair of shoes that seemed to fit perfectly.
One of the most noticeable features was the Boost midsole, which provided an incredibly comfortable and supportive experience, even when walking or standing for extended periods. The shoe felt lightweight and breathable, making it a great option for both casual wear and everyday activities.
However, there were a few minor drawbacks that I encountered during my time with the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Mono Cinder. The translucent monofilament mesh upper, while visually appealing, seemed to pick up dirt and grime quite easily, which required more frequent cleanings than I would have liked. Additionally, the shoe's material caused some itchiness on the side of my ankles when wearing sports socks.
Despite these drawbacks, I found the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Mono Cinder to be a highly attractive and comfortable option for daily use. The shoe's combination of style, superior cushioning, and lightweight construction make it a standout choice for those looking for a unique and functional footwear option.

🔗Reflective Yeezy Boost 350 V2: Lundmark in Style and Comfort

https://preview.redd.it/tu112nq3gtqc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e416597393ec09d426b3092d94c1a69875fe0c8d
I remember the first time trying on these Yeezy Boost 350 V2 'Lundmark Reflective' sneakers. The moment I put them on, I felt an instant connection to the unique design and the comfort provided by the Primeknit upper. It fit like a glove and the reflective details added a touch of brilliance to these shoes.
Running in these sneakers felt like walking on cloud nine, thanks to the Boost technology that offered a bouncy feel. However, after a while, I started to notice a slight discomfort on the bottom part of my feet.
It wasn't a deal-breaker, but I wasn't entirely satisfied with it. The durability was impressive, and the shoes held up quite well even after regular wear. Overall, the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 'Lundmark Reflective' offered an excellent combination of style and comfort, but with a slight concern regarding the cushioning for some users.

🔗Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Jade Ash: Monochromatic Sneaker with Boost Cushioning

Slipping into the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Salt brought an immediate flair of comfort. The rope laces, securing the mint green Primeknit upper, ensured a snug, supportive fit. I loved the distinctive center-stitch detailing that added a unique touch to this sneaker.
Walking around, the SPLY-350 branding on the lateral side of the shoe caught the eye of many who admired my step. But, the shoe's responsive cushioning truly stole the show with its full-length Boost midsole. The semi-translucent TPU cage wrapped around it provided a stable, secure foundation.
Even the grippy rubber outsole played its part in enhancing my stride. However, I did notice that the shoe ran a bit too narrow. It also required a thicker socks to accommodate the slight tightness. Though these issues didn't spoil my overall experience, they remain a point to consider for those with wider feet.
Despite my minor concerns, I truly enjoyed wearing the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Salt. Its attractive appearance, coupled with the comfort it provided, made it a worthwhile investment in my wardrobe.

The STCITLS70MHF is a versatile tool for nature enthusiasts, offering a perfect blend of quality and functionality that makes it stand out from the rest. Crafted with SCIV+ Carbon Fiber blanks, it delivers remarkable durability and strength for any fishing or hunting situation.
The Alconite ring material and Stainless Steel frame ensure a smooth and sturdy performance, while the Nylon reel seat and Super grade cork handle provide a comfortable grip. The non-marking rubber Gimbal/Cork butt cap adds a touch of elegance and completes the package. Despite its top-notch features, it comes at an affordable price, making it accessible to both beginners and experts alike.
Overall, the STCITLS70MHF proves to be a reliable companion for all your nature ventures.

🔗Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Onyx - Metallic Red Sneaker by Kanye West

https://preview.redd.it/zy4nql15gtqc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=090624faec634c2d67b969a013f47c05a1f9894e
I recently had the chance to try on the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 'Onyx' HQ4540-US17, which was released quite recently. The first thing that caught my eye was the combination of black and white, along with the metallic red accents, inspired by the Chicago Bulls' team uniform colors. The design felt comfortable and not too flashy, making it a perfect choice for everyday wear. My favorite highlight of the shoe was the Primeknit upper material, which not only felt soft, but also provided a snug fit for my feet.
However, I did face an inconvenience when trying to buy the shoe. It seemed that I was sent counterfeit shoes instead of the correct black Adidas size 12.5 that I ordered. The lack of customer service phone numbers and a complicated process using only chat and email made it frustrating to resolve the issue. Despite the positive elements of the shoe, I can't recommend buying from StockX due to the poor customer service experience.

🔗Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Beluga Reflective: Comfort and Style in a Primeknit Sneaker

https://preview.redd.it/xha7otd5gtqc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4b4c55dccd6edd547f85102e3bef79cb52bb4738
The Yeezy Boost 350 V2 'Beluga Reflective' is a sleek and stylish shoe that brings back the classic 'Beluga' design with a reflective twist. The upper material is made of Primeknit, providing both comfort and a secure fit on the foot. The reflective features add an eye-catching detail that catches the light and enhances the overall look of the shoe.
The cushioning is one of its biggest highlights, offering excellent support and comfort with the signature Boost midsole. Wearing these shoes feels like walking on clouds due to their well-designed, lightweight construction. Although the shoe may run a little small, it's easy to overcome this by going up a size or half size.
Overall, the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 'Beluga Reflective' is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a comfortable and trendy sneaker that stands out in any situation.

🔗Legend Blue Air Jordan 11 Retro: Stylish Graded-School Shoes

https://preview.redd.it/mmu66sv5gtqc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=43253e9250bec9ad550c55b353426a28680bfebf
While walking around town, I couldn't help but notice the Air Jordan 11 Retro Legend Blue in my kid's footwear selection. The Jumpman logo emblazoned on the side of the shoes caught my eye and filled me with pride as a parent. Upon closer inspection, I admired the pristine white upper and the glossy Legend Blue accents. The shoes have a refined and rugged texture due to the leather construction.
When it comes to sizing, these shoes fit our child comfortably. The heel offered excellent lockdown, and the midfoot was also secure. However, after prolonged wear, the fit did loosen a bit due to moisture and heat buildup. The lacing needed to be adjusted after each game to counter this. This shoe stands tall with its high-cut design and signature details such as the carbon fiber plate on the midsole.
As for the performance, these Air Jordans are not lacking in sturdiness and strength. The leather upper and rubber sole added extra durability, ensuring our family won't have to worry about wear and tear right away.
One drawback, however, was the lack of ventilation. While there were perforations on the toe and a nylon tongue for some airflow, it wasn't enough to keep our child's feet from getting warm. Support-wise, the shoes are flat based and require extra insoles for added arch support if needed.
Putting all these things into account, the Air Jordan 11 Retro Legend Blue is a well-made and comfortable shoe that fits well. Although it could use some improvements in ventilation and support, the overall appearance and construction make it a great choice for adding a sporty flair to our child's look.

🔗1965 Shelby GT 350 Legend Series Collectible Car

https://preview.redd.it/0bodmk86gtqc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=61aeb5648354189f09c4a18427b74b838f19fe64
As a car enthusiast, I've always been a fan of the iconic Shelby GT 350. So, when I came across Shelby Collectibles Legend Series 1965 Shelby GT 350 1:43 scale model, I knew I had to get my hands on it. The 1:43 scale is perfect for displaying on a shelf or windowsill, so it was the right size for my taste.
The packaging was impressive, with the model carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and encased in a sturdy cardboard box. It showed that the company takes great care in shipping their products, which is a plus.
Upon opening the box, I was immediately drawn to the intricate details of the model. From the sleek white finish to the realistic headlights and taillights, this 350 Legend Bcg model truly stands out. The chrome accents and badges really make the car pop, and I appreciate the attention to detail in those areas.
However, one drawback I noticed was the lack of any other color options for the model. As someone who enjoys having multiple versions of their favorite cars, I would have loved to see other color options.
Overall, the Shelby Collectibles Legend Series 1965 Shelby GT 350 1:43 scale model is a fantastic addition to any car lover's collection. With its impressive attention to detail and sturdy packaging, it's easy to see why this model has received such high praise from fellow enthusiasts.

🔗Adidas Yeezy Lundmark V2 Non-Reflective Sneaker

https://preview.redd.it/fxtzj9s6gtqc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fb69e37ebe06d20827128e726238b56fe3557117
I recently got my hands on the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Lundmark" sneakers, and oh man, I am in love. Kanye West sure did it again with these iconic summer releases. The shoe's creamy white shade mixed with grey tones across the intricate Primeknit upper is nothing short of amazing.
One of the cool things about this design is the translucent rubber sole unit that has the creamy tone on the midsole, making it a fantastic summer fashion statement. The Lundmark release also offers a slightly more streamlined silhouette with no large heel tab loops.
The comfort level is off the charts—from the Boost technology in the sole to the fitting Primeknit upper. However, I must warn you, these shoes do run a bit small, so make sure you order half a size up from your normal size.
The only con I've faced is the shipping prices, but hey, these kicks are worth the waiting time, don't you think? All in all, the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Lundmark" sneakers are a must-have for any Yeezy fan who is looking for a unique and stylish summer pair.

🔗Yeezy 350 V2 Carbon: A Stylish, Comfortable Sneaker

https://preview.redd.it/3w69go17gtqc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=696ffbb690139b80ec462c24a75bfd3ca9e49808
The Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Carbon" is a perfect example of Kanye West's impeccable fashion sense, crafted with an eye for detail and a knack for pushing the boundaries of footwear design. This version features a sleek, black and grey Primeknit upper, highlighted by contrasting patterns and a subtle monofilament side stripe. The ribbed midsole with embedded Boost cushioning adds a touch of comfort to these already stylish shoes.
As someone who's had the pleasure of experiencing these shoes firsthand, I can say they're surprisingly lightweight and provide excellent traction. However, I must admit that the toe box was a little tight for my taste, a minor downside that didn't take away from the overall appeal.
Overall, the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Carbon" is a must-have for any fashion enthusiast or sneakerhead, standing as a testament to Kanye West's ability to make a statement with every release.

🔗Yeezy Boost 350 Moonrock: Stylish, Comfortable, and Attractive Sneaker

https://preview.redd.it/ykd7ghj7gtqc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=741655009049fb181834d9420dc392d2c5c8fa69
Imagine strolling down the street in a sleek pair of shoes, attracting eyes and compliments left and right. That's exactly what happened when I slipped into a pair of Yeezy Boost 350s. The AGAGRA/MOONRO/AGAGRA colorway, or as it's more commonly known, the "Moonrock" version, caught my eye with its unique, intricately patterned upper and matching grey sole.
The comfort level of these shoes was on another level. The woven Primeknit material and TPU sole wrapping the Boost foam cushioning made each step feel like walking on a cloud. The fit was almost perfect, and I could tell that these shoes were made to last.
While the clean, minimalist design was a huge selling point for me, I also appreciated the attention to detail in the craftsmanship. The quality control was top-notch, and the authenticity of the shoes was never questioned.
However, just like any other product, there are a few drawbacks. For one, the white soles can be a bit tricky to maintain. I found myself constantly trying to keep them clean to maintain the overall look of the shoes.
Another minor issue was the initial waiting period to receive the shoes. It took a bit longer than expected, but the satisfaction of finally having them in my hands made it all worth it.
Overall, the Yeezy Boost 350 Moonrock was an amazing experience. The combination of style, comfort, and hype made these shoes stand out in my collection. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a unique, comfortable, and timeless addition to their sneaker collection.

🔗Grey Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Beluga 2.0 Athletic Shoes

https://preview.redd.it/ef9ki968gtqc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d22d070ff198fdd6a6867e08aaebb0134a8c12e4
Recently, I had the opportunity to try out the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Beluga 2.0. As a sneaker enthusiast, I was excited to see how they compared to the original colorway. The shoe's design is sleek and minimalistic, with a Gray, Bold Orange, and Dark Grey color combo that appeals to a wide audience.
One of the highlights of the Yeezy Beluga 2.0 for me was the overall comfort. The sneakers have a responsive Boost midsole that provides excellent cushioning and support, making them perfect for all-day wear. The flat heel made them feel stable and secure, even during long walks. The lacing closure allowed for a custom fit that hugged my foot perfectly.
However, there were a few drawbacks to the shoe. Firstly, the size seemed to run a bit small, so I had to go up half a size for a comfortable fit. Secondly, some users reported issues with the shipping process, which can be frustrating, especially when waiting for a highly anticipated release.
In conclusion, the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Beluga 2.0 is a comfortable and stylish choice for sneaker enthusiasts. The unique colorway and minimalist design make it stand out from other Yeezy releases, and the Boost technology ensures a comfortable wear. While there are a couple of downsides, such as the size run and shipping issues, the overall product is worth considering, especially for those who appreciate the Yeezy silhouette.

🔗Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Citrin: A Striking Sneaker Design by Kanye West

https://preview.redd.it/h3p0dkq8gtqc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=92f133ff8118679deaae5f5d2617a873b5bfda52
Imagine slipping on a pair of sneakers that not only look fantastic, but also feel like walking on clouds. That's what the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Citrin" brings to the table. Launched in September 2019, this version of the iconic Yeezy model boasts a sleek design with its unique tan and pale yellow tints, making it a true statement piece.
The upper material, Primeknit, feels soft and breathable against your skin, providing a comfortable fit. The signature Boost cushioning adds a touch of luxury, making every step a dream. The translucent monofilament side stripes and translucent rubber midsole add an extra touch of style.
But, there's one feature that sets this version apart from others: the removal of the heel tab. It's a small change, but it adds a fresh look to the popular design.
While these sneakers are attractive and comfortable, they are not without their drawbacks. Some buyers have reported the need to order a size larger due to the fit being a bit snug. Additionally, the translucent nature of the shoe may not be ideal for those who prefer a more opaque look.
In conclusion, the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Citrin" is a stunning addition to any sneaker collection, offering both style and comfort. Despite a few minor drawbacks, it's definitely worth considering if you're a fan of the Yeezy line or are looking for a unique, eye-catching pair of kicks.

🔗Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Cinder": Primeknit Comfort and Boost Technology in Black Primeknit

I've been rocking the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Cinder in my daily life, and I must say, they've quickly become one of my favorite pairs of sneakers. The Primeknit upper adapts perfectly to my foot, feeling like a cozy sock, while the woven stripe detailing makes a statement without being too flashy. What really stands out, though, is the Boost technology in the midsole. With each step, I feel like I'm walking on clouds – the energy return is incredible.
One downside I've noticed is that the sizing seems to be a bit off for some people, but for me, the fit has been just right. And let's not forget the subtle branding – nothing too loud, yet still giving the shoes that iconic Yeezy touch. Overall, the Cinder is a comfortable, stylish, and high-quality pair of sneakers that I can't help but recommend.

Buyer's Guide

When it comes to choosing the right 350 Legend BCG, there are a few key factors to consider.

Material Construction

The material used to construct a 350 Legend BCG can greatly impact its lifespan, reliability, and performance. Common materials include steel, stainless steel, and titanium. Steel is the most affordable option but may need more frequent replacement. Stainless steel offers better corrosion resistance and a longer lifespan while still being more affordable than titanium. Titanium is the most durable option and virtually maintenance-free, but it comes at a higher cost.

Diameter and Thread Length

The diameter and thread length of the BCG are crucial to ensure proper compatibility with the firearm. Be sure to match the diameter and thread length of the BCG with the firearm you're using. Common diameter options include. 750 and. 875 inches, while thread lengths can vary depending on the manufacturer and model.

Finish and Surface Treatment

Surface treatments and finishes can improve the performance and longevity of a 350 Legend BCG. Some popular options include chrome-lining, nitriding, and melonite. Chrome-lining provides an additional layer of corrosion resistance, while nitriding hardens the surface and improves wear resistance. Melonite, developed by Browning, offers a combination of hardness, corrosion resistance, and lubricity.

Weight

The weight of a 350 Legend BCG can affect the cycling of the bolt and overall performance. Heavier BCGs, typically between 31-33 oz, provide more momentum and can handle more rounds before needing cleaning. Lighter options, around 28-30 oz, are more suitable for competition use.

Brand Reliability and Support

Choose a manufacturer that is known for producing reliable and well-designed BCGs. Research customer reviews, manufacturer warranties, and after-sales support to ensure you're investing in a product that will last and receive proper care if needed.

Cost and Value

Before making a purchase, consider your budget and what features are most important to you. While more expensive options may offer better performance or longevity, it's also important to find a balance between cost and value that fits your needs and preferences.

I slept okay I think, but actually maybe not really because I woke up lots. So actually no, I didn’t sleep so well.
My skin is getting on my nerves at the moment. There’s nothing bad with it per se, but it’s just… off.
Can anyone consume Epsom salts? Not for human consumption? I wonder if people feed their animals bad things? Okay I googled it and apparently you can ingest Epsom salts? I guess I get it… but it’s weird. Idk why I’m writing this.
His poem!! Prophecy? HIS TALENT!!!!! My baby. He showed me it last night and wowowooww it’s so good. He’s a wizard of words. I’m so unbelievably proud to be HIS! And to even just know him. He’s positively brimming with natural talent and ugghhh sometimes I think I’m at my capacity for loving that kind of his and then he does something and that adoration and love I have for his mind breaks through a whole other barrier. All I want to do is show it off to people but obviously I won’t because it’s his work that is to be kept secret so I’m not saying a single thing about any of his work to anyone. I’m not even journaling his ideas or names or anything, my lips are zipped tight. I’m just so excited for him, I couldn’t stop smiling last night when we were talking about it!
I saw theeeee most gorgeous ring, it’s technically an engagement ring but it’s so pretty! I think the shape is too harsh for me but it’s a hexagonal yellow sapphire in a bed of little white diamonds. Meadowlark do the prettiest jewellery, not all of it I actually don’t like a lot of it, but some I love. Like I still love the Geneva cocktail ring by them, I love citrine stones!!! And their signature five and three stone rings, they make me wanna drool. Especially the green sapphire. I don’t know what kind of ring I would want. I’ve always loved cluster rings, like I love mums engagement ring and it’s so cute - dad got it with 18 diamonds for the 18 years they’d been together at that point or something. They were already married by this point, I think her engagement ring was a chunky plastic ring with a “diamond” inside - it sounds ugly but it was a jokey thing I think? I don’t think marriage was ever a thing for them, like they didn’t get married til I was 13 and even then it was super low key. It’s definitely shaped my view of marriage and why I don’t really view it as a big deal or as being necessary, so long as I’m happy with my man. But so anyway I love her ring, idk how to even describe it? Like an art deco flower cluster ring…? But it’s layered? And it doesn’t look like a flower like some do. kinda think a flower cluster ring (if nice, I just googled and some are NOT to my taste) but I love flowers!!!! So how cute, no?
Today I heard a saying that goes “they can give you the square root of a pickle jar but can’t open the fucker” and I think it applies perfectly to a LOT of people at my work who I deal with.
I was sucking on my deeeelish mango ice block last night while on the phone with him and he thought it sounded like I was sucking something else… sooo naturally I kept going because he wanted me to and it was fun? I forgot how much I love sucking things. Anyway then he made me have a verrrry good orgasm like SO lightheaded and SO insanely wet. Anyway now I want something to practice on…? But that seems weird. Something or someone? Hmmmm. Something, in the first instance? I’m not entirely opposed to the idea of it being someONE but idk… I just wanna be his and only his :( anyway I went to get an avocado from the fridge just before and it was next to my carrots and cucumber and that’s why I thought of this. However I will not attempt to deep throat a carrot, there’s a line and that passes it. I do need to work on my gag reflex for him though, it used to be pretty good but that was a long time ago and I’ve kinda lost it? But also I used to go down on R in some form several times a week. Also when Andy asked about how often I’ll go down on him, does he mean in general, or like a proper full on bj where it doesn’t turn into something else like him fucking me or whatever? Because I feel like the latter would absolutely be more than once a week? But the former would probably be once a week? But also he said he doesn’t cum from bj’s so maybe he didn’t mean the former? But then again he hasn’t been with me and R also hadn’t really cum from them before/struggled to and he never had an issue with me - I’m not saying I’m good because I doubt I am but I feel like there’s a lot to be said for enthusiastic determination. Plus it’s fun! I enjoy giving them. Like mixing it up, like going between using one hand or two hands or playing with other areas of him to intensify things or having my hands behind my back while he uses my head like a toy orrrrrr a long and slow relaxing kind of one? Like it can pick up pace at the end if he needs it to but I love the times I can just take my time and devour it slowly with long licks and strokes and kisses and all of that. I can’t wait to give him those kinds of ones after a long day, like lay him back on the sofa or bed and just take care of him. Uggghhhhhhh I can’t wait to be able to have him anytime I want… well when he wants it too obviously. Like if he’s working at his desk? Maybe I can just… kneel in front of him? Eeeeeeehhhhhhh I’m so excited!
I want to get a new pair of sneakers, like exercisey ones. I feel like as autumn arrives and it gets darker earlier I’ll want to go for more walks outside, I hate being in the sun and when it’s daytime I feel a lottttt more anxy, so if I utilise autumn/winter and it being darker longer, maybe I can use that time to build up my confidence to leave the house? And also I always buy nice sneakers like ones I like the look of as opposed to ones best suited for my feet, so I think I will get some that are well suited for my feet this time? I mean I really should, shouldn’t I? Hmm. It’s just I don’t want ugly ones. But anyway I want to get myself some bits and pieces so that I make the idea of leaving the house as appealing as possible, so maybe a lil trip to lululemon for some things to wear and some new shoes and then I’ll curate a playlist of podcast episodes as well as a walking playlist for when I wanna listen to music. The thing is I enjoy going for walks, that’s not the part I have to convince myself to do, it’s the act of being outside my house that’s the issue. If I could go for a big long walk all around the city with an invisibility cloak or every single person ceased to exist for a few hours then I would be over the moon and have the time of my life, I love walks, I just hate being out in public and I hate it most when I don’t have a purpose, eg. If I have an appointment or I’m going to a shop or whatever I have a destination and I feel like I have a purpose therefore I’m not open to judgement quite the same, but if I’m going for a walk, idk, I feel like people will be thinking ew that mutt of a girl is such a nigel no mates loser she can’t even get a friend or boyfriend or dog to go for a walk with her or they’ll think how pink my face has got by the end of the walk if it’s a longer one or idk my mind goes through a lotttt of different things. Anyway. So I want to do my very best to turn that into a habit.
I love him so much. Sometimes I feel like I’m going to burst because all the love I have for him inside of me is overflowing. My honeybunny babycakes.
I’ve worked a lot this afternoon. And then I got the train - a largely built older man sat next to me when there were SO MANY EMPTY ROWS and he smelled of vague BO and he kept popping mints so it was this gross mix of BO and peppermint. Yuck. I hate when people sit next to me when there are other seats like has no one heard of personal space? Honestly. Other than that the train was fine, I felt quite sleepy and at one point wasn’t sure if I’d missed my stop or not. Anyway then mum picked me up and we took pup to the park and he played with another beautiful spaniel and then we went to the supermarket and then I made myself dinner - that Korean “chicken” with a bunch of cucumber - and now I’m writing this and it’s 7:29pm and I honestly have to hustle my bustle as I have to make up the bed and also have a shower and I need to wash my hair and stuff too so I’m running out of time eeeppppp. I feel kinda bloated after dinner and it’s not very nice. Okay night night

2023.11.26 15:05 Junepero Rest of pre games 101

The pair from 4 immediately rushed down, greeted by Realm and Marilyn from 1 introducing themselves to Wallace and Charleta. However, as Maximus from 2 sneaked up on Charleta, she yelped loudly, and her other career allies giggled. As she began to cry, Jericho and Tavian Hardone, mentor for District 2, scowled at Maximus. Jericho helped both Wallace and Charleta up to the carriage. While Realm and Marilyn were being walked to their own carriage, Realm whispered,
“The little primadonna doesn't know what's coming for her.”
As Wallace snickered quietly, Realm shot him a sympathetic smile, clearly trying to signify that Charleta might be an early out. As for the pair from 11, they noticed the pair from 14 casually chatting in their language. Wisteria attempted to introduce herself, but heard a group of Capitol citizens singing about “Bringing the old 14 back.”
Cupid noticed this before rushing his tributes back to the chariots as the parade began. Immediately, the pair from 1 was noticeable with their rainbow-themed outfits with Ruby, Agate, Citrine, Emerald, Sapphire, Sugilite, Morganite jewels flowing effortlessly off them, which is probably why they were chosen as the first-ever Anderson Fashions best-dressed of the third incarnation. Wallace and Charleta's outfits were rather poorly received, being ridiculed as rather rushed. By the time the pair from 10's outfits were harshly critiqued by Camelia, however, as Devin and Wisteria's outfits were “Equally bad as the 10s,” causing their stylist, Firoza Gardener, to cringe.
However, the pair from 14 surprisingly had a better introduction, confidently waving to the Capitol audiences, surprising Asmodeus in particular.
After President Mcaine's rather energetic speech on the glory of Panem, the tributes were dismissed back to their apartments.
Gyles apologized for the rather disastrous beginning for the new Careers' outfits; however, Jericho rolled his eyes in annoyance before sending his tributes to bed without another word.
However, in the District 11 apartment, an all-out brawl formed after Wisteria insulted Firoza on the “Dog Shit outfits.” As Wisteria whacked Firoza in the jaw, Devin bolted as peacekeepers joined in the brawl. Cupid laughed out loud before casually sipping a Skilane wine, telling Devin to go to bed.
As the next day came into play, all mentors brought their tributes down to the new and reformed training center. After a brief wait, the new head of training, Arcadian Fling, entered. Arcadian was one of many people who aided President Mcaine in reclaiming the brawling Districts and fighting against the previous Spanish empire. After the war had ended, President Mcaine chose Arcadian as the new training master due to his war-filled background.
After a brief introduction to the rules and training stations, Headmaster Fling dismissed the tributes to their own stations.
Wallace and Charleta training days 1-3
For the three days of training, Charleta stayed alone at the aquatic stations, becoming rather brat-like when Arbor from 7 tried to practice in this station. She then spat at Arbor in response, and as Arbor took great offense to this, the pair brawled until being separated by training staff, afterward being sent back to the accommodation towers. After the brawl, Jericho gave Wallace a knowing look before he, Realm, and Maximus showed their intimidation and sparing against Oliver (3), Yeaster (9), and Devin (11), impressing their mentors. In a rather kind manner, the Careers invited Oliver into the Career pack, becoming rather impressed with his physique and swordsman ship for a 14-year-old tribute.
As Oliver accepted, he joined Marilyn and Lavender as they offered friendly tips with shooting arrows and sword throwing.
Wisteria and Devin training days 1-3
After the introduction, Wisteria wandered over to the toxicological station. She noticed Sylvana from 5 struggling with the test. She offered to aid her in the test, to which Sylvana agreed, practicing at this particular station until both girls' scores improved greatly, pleasing each other. As the pair developed a friendship, they spent the day practicing with knives and archery.
However, Devin's three days were rather poor after losing the fight against Maximus; he numbly walked over to the survival station, staying there for the remainder of the three days.
As the assessment days came into play, Wallace was welcomed in after Circet from 3's rather pitiful display of battery manipulation.
As Wallace entered, he hurled a total of 100 tridents across the room. He appeared to make a drawing of them that represented Head Game Maker Gonzalez, earning standing ovations from the other head game makers, even earning a nod of approval from Game Maker Gonzalez.
However, as for Charleta, she tried to start a fire, but she burnt herself, sat down, and cried; peacekeepers were forced to bring her out of the room.
Later on in the lineup, Devin displayed a rather decent performance of knife-throwing, pleasing himself and the game makers. After Devin, Wisteria was welcomed. She did a rather pitiful display of knife-throwing, angrily running out of the assessment hall after she hit a light bulb instead of her initial target.
Later on in the evening, the scores were revealed live on Capitol TV. Every one of the Career pack besides Oliver and Charleta scored an 11. Oliver and Nylon (5) followed with an 8. Devin scored a 7. And at the bottom of the pack was Wisteria and Charleta with scores of 2.
Cupid was enraged at Wisteria for her pathetic score and just scoffed at Devin when he asked if he'd done well, muttering "fine" in a rather humorous, sarcastic tone.
As for Jericho, he was equally enraged at Charleta. He looked at Wallace quickly entering his room as Jericho continued to scold Charleta till midnight.
The next day brought the tribute interviews. Camelia and Asmodeus were adorned in silver suits with gold top hats and eyeglasses as they took their seats, welcoming Marlyain from 1. After the rather chaotic interviews with the tributes from 1, 2, and 3, Charleta was welcomed to the stage. She was adorned in a sapphire gown with sapphire jewels flowing off her dress. However, her interview was rather dreadful with her babyish attitude rewinding it. However, Wallace's interview was better, appearing to be more of a gentleman, causing Camelia to blush. Before the end of his interview, Asmodeus asked what Wallace thought about the other Career members. He spoke highly about the 1s and 2s; however, when he mentioned Charleta, he rolled his eyes in annoyance, replying with, “She's just a pissy, no-good primadonna.”
Asmodeus and the audience laughed out loud as Camelia then groaned annoyingly before shooing him off the stage. Later on, after the 11s rather not worthy to be noted interviews and the 14s continuous “overconfident attitudes,” the new head game maker, Gilian Gonzalez, was welcomed onto the stage.
Gilian was adorned in an ebony suit with light green piercings throughout his face. After some brief banter with Camelia and Asmodeus, Asmodeus tried to get info about the upcoming arena, but in a true game maker fashion, Gilian replied with a rather vague answer of “Fancy.”
Before they could continue on to ask questions, Gilian exited the stage. As the Capitol audience attempted to ask more questions and for Game Maker Gonzalez to come back, Camelia and Asmodeus ended the interviews there.
After the rather poor interviews, Cupid and Jericho decided not to fret much about the poor performances, telling their tributes to rest for the games that would follow the following morning.
As the tributes awoke the following day, they were given a brief breakfast before they were flown to the arena. They were told to dress in the fancy suits, jeans, and shoes in their district's color. Charleta was not visited by anybody; she pouted silently as she walked into her holding tube, waiting for it to raise.
As Wallace was visited by Jericho, he freshened Wallace up. Though he did not say much, he apologized if he was too harsh. Wallace responded that it was okay. As Jericho wished him good fortune, Wallace entered his tube.
Unfortunately, Wisteria and Devin were not visited by Cupid, apparently by their stylist Firoza Gardner that Cupid had given up on them. As Wisteria and Devin nodded understandingly at each other, they walked into their separate tubes as they soon rose into the musical-themed arena.

2023.08.15 22:02 colit-astra Citrine and amethyst OOTD

Citrine and amethyst OOTD
Left down - Ruby - Wildflower
I wanted to wear this black tshirt dress today for comfort and ease getting my allergy injections. In deciding how to accessorize it, I decided to work with the challenge colors. It's warm but cloudy/rainy today and I wanted to feel breezy but also cozy or enveloped, so I opted for a scarf situation. At first I picked out a purple scarf with slight bits of yellow and blue in it, but the jewelry I liked with it was more peachy, not yellow, and I felt a little too bohemian-elemental and unsophisticated. This version does too, honestly, but it's a bit closer. I think this is a good example of a fit that is good enough - it's fine, I'm not uncomfortable, I don't feel amazing, but not every outfit is going to be amazing and I need to be ok with that.
The next step was to add my chunky amethyst necklace, then I added the citrine pendant, decided I wanted to keep going, and put my dagger amulet on a shorter chain for good measure. I do really like the mystical vibe of this necklace stack. I chose these flats to amp up the yellow and feel a little more refined; they feel a bit disjointed from the rest of my outfit but I didn't have anything I liked better. They will definitely make another appearance this week as I create outfits with some of my purple tops. Finally, I went for purple eyeshadow to play off the amethyst and loaded up the rest of my usual gold jewelry.
This outfit is definitely missing the "pop," and while it is elemental, and while "ethereal" doesn't seem to be a major component (if at all) of my essence, I do think this outfit could be better with a more ethereal elemental vibe. Like, I want one more sheer black layer or something? Or something more electric.
Keywords: Ease (tshirt fabric, elastic waist, flats, openly draped scarf) - Elemental (raw amethyst and citrine crystals, organic textures of gold rings and earrings, suede flats, tan and off-white stripes on scarf) - Enveloping (midi length dress, scarf, closed shoes)

PAUL

Issue‌ 1:‌ ‌One Bad Day
Story by Predaplant and ‌Deadislandman1

 ‌ ‌
‌  ‌ ‌
Before the Dinosaurs
“And you’re certain the artifact has landed on this planet?”
“Yes, the chances of it being elsewhere are less than 0.001 percent.”
In the vastness of space, a ship drifts across the cosmos, housing a council of impressively dressed alien creatures. Their ship was circular in nature, with a polished metallic sheen on every surface. Their chairs were constantly shifting, supporting their backs as they gazed upon the large, central hologram in the center of the room. It depicted a planet, which eons later, would be known by its natives to be Earth. These creatures, clad in red robes with long grey heads, arms, and legs, pondered their current situation, noting a green dot on the planet marking the location of their most sacred artifact.
“Then should we not retrieve it? It has been a part of our culture for the better part of our existence.”
“No, it has been the cause of untold amounts of suffering. We should leave it where it is.”
“But will we not be granting the people of this planet the very same suffering?”
“At least it will no longer be a concern of ours. They will figure out what to do with it.”
“Then we must hope, by leaving an object of such immeasurable power, that it lands in the palm of someone who knows what to truly do with it.”
“Yes! Someone exceptional.”
“Someone gifted!”
“Of course. While we leave this planet to whatever fate awaits it, I am sure that with luck, it will land in the hands of their species’ single most important, impressive, and exceedingly well prepared individual on their planet.”
“I agree, but now that our course is set, I must wonder…what will this specimen look like?”
The Present Day
“Craaaaaaaap!”
Paul tumbled down a hole in the floor, landing face first in the floor below. His glasses clattered across the tile, alongside a bunch of other things that he had kept in his pockets. Pens, a phone, a wallet, and a bright green stone were scattered amongst broken glass and pieces of the ceiling. Paul groaned, his light beard littered with tiny pieces of the window his head had been smashed into. Tiny cuts littered his mostly average features, and as he groaned, pushing himself into his knees, his eyes widened, “Oh no! No no no! My glasses! Where are my glasses?!”
Paul patted the floor in front of him, eventually finding his cracked glasses. Jamming them back onto his face in a panic, his eyes darted around, searching for something just as important as his eyesight. Spotting the gemstone, Paul grabbed it before snatching up his wallet and phone.
“He’s down here, I heard him scream!”
Paul gulped, “Oh boy! Oh boy!”
Scrambling out of sight, Paul pushed through a door into a bright white hallway, stopping short of closing it to peek through. The silhouettes of his pursuers hopped down, each exceptionally distinct. The first was a man in a red hoodie with a blue baseball cap under the hood, grasping an old german pistol in his gloved hands. The second was a man dressed for a ball, complete with a top hat, dress shoes, and a stylish black cane with a white bottom. The last was the silliest of them, a man in a green jumpsuit with purple armor over his chest. He wielded a gun with a tube running all the way to the tank on his back. The hooded man stepped forward, “Find him, he’s gotta be close!”
Whimpering to himself, Paul closed the door silently, leaning against it while looking at the gemstone in his hands. What the hell was happening? How did he get to this point?!
Eleven Hours Earlier
“Ugh.”
Paul let out a yawn as he sat up in his bed, though it was more of an exhausted groan than anything else. The bedsheets were a trap, a way to keep him down with comfort when he should probably start his day sooner rather than later. Pushing the covers off his body, he swung his legs over the side, planting his feet firmly on the wooden floor. Rubbing his eyes, he grabbed his glasses from the bedside table, gently putting them on.
He was surprised to say he had it all together for the most part. He was always a pretty orderly person, so his bedroom didn’t have any loose articles on the floor. Everything was where it was supposed to be, from the neatly folded laundry in his dresser to the coat hanging next to the apartament entrance. Yawning again, he glanced at his clock, wondering what time it was.
7:00 AM. Paul jumped out of his bed without a word and raced over to his bathroom, turning on the shower before leaping in, leaving his clothes behind on the ground. It was a 30 minute commute to his job as a Geologist at Horizon Labs and he would not be late. If you’re late one day you’ll start being late on other days, then your whole schedule falls apart. Consistency is King, that’s something his mother had always told him, and he stuck to that system as best he could.
After a quick shower and a similarly fast brushing of teeth, Paul threw on his white undershirt and a pair of khaki pants. They were the classic scientist fit, though Paul didn’t exactly know that. He wasn’t exactly one to keep up with all the latest trends…or any trends at all. A part of him liked to think of himself as a fashion outlaw, but it’s hard to be a pioneer when you’ve just got sets of white undershirts and khaki pants. After slipping on his shoes, Paul put on his blue tie, remembering the steps his father had taught him. He liked to keep a record of how fast he could put it on. His dad’s record was ten seconds, and his own personal record was twelve.
Today was a slow day, because he only managed to finish in fifteen.
Taking a quick look in the mirror, Paul affixed his name tag to his shirt then combed back his head of short hair before grimacing at the short beard on his face. He’d been told it looked good on him by a lot of people, but it also got fairly itchy. He was never too good about keeping up with shaving, never found the time, so instead he simply made a mental note to get a shave somewhere else on the weekend. Grabbing his briefcase, he moved across the kitchen towards the exit to his apartment, only for his stomach to rumble.
For a moment, his eyes drifted towards his fridge. He still had some eggs, maybe he could make an omelet? Nah, no time. Could microwave eggs be a better alternative? After a second of staring longingly at the fridge, Paul shook his head and walked out the door. No time, he’d just have to get his food at lunch.
After a trip down the elevator, Paul shuffled down the steps of his building to the sidewalk below, walking towards the train station in hopes that by not rushing, he wouldn’t get unbearably sweaty. Nobody wants to have a sticky shirt the entire work day. As he moved along the street, an older woman came into view, currently attempting to heave an armchair into her building. Realizing she might hurt herself, Paul quickly raced over to her side, dropping his case to assist her, “Willie, you’ve gotta stop trying to move these things by yourself. You could pull a muscle!”
“Oh shush, I know you’re right around the corner if I really need help,” Willie, with Paul’s help, placed the armchair inside the building. “Besides, I think I’ve got it now. Ground floor resident and all that.”
“Nice, Happy to help!” Paul said. “Hate to cut and run, but I’m gonna be late for work if I don’t hurry.”
“Look at you, always rushing!”
Paul spotted a head peeking out one of the apartament doors, identifying the source of the voice. It was Ed, a novelist who was born and raised in Brooklyn. Apparently he specialized in crime fiction. Smiling, Ed shot a finger gun at Paul, “Life’s short, my man! You gotta learn to ride the wave instead of plowing through it!”
“Right, and the wave is taking me to work. Look! It’s sweeping me away right now!” Complimenting the joke, Paul waved his hands around while walking backwards, pretending to be dragged away by forces unknown. As he backpedaled, Paul smiled, happy to be in on a joke for once, only for him to stumble as he nearly fell down the stairs. Catching himself on the railing, Paul chuckled nervously before grabbing his briefcase and continuing on his way. He was pretty sure he was making good impressions, but in all honesty it was hard to tell.
At least he knew how people felt about him at work.
“You didn’t eat breakfast again.”
“Well, I was gonna be late otherwise.”
Gwen, an intern from a different sector of the lab, sighed before grabbing a granola bar from one of the break room cabinets and tossing it to Paul. After Electro’s attack, a lot of the facility had been damaged, but thankfully the Geology sector had been subject to any damage. Gwen was somewhat new to the job like him, though she was an intern for Sue Storm, a position Paul couldn’t help but envy. Getting a mentorship like that was a dream come true, but alas, he was but a lowly studier of rocks.
“Seriously, I don’t share my secret stash lightly. Take better care of yourself.”
“Of course! It’s just…I dunno, I wanna make sure I’m doing my part here!”
“Trust me, from what I hear, you’re doing that in spades, but you’ve gotta have the fuel for the work.” As Gwen prepared to continue her sentence, a drop of water landed on her head, and she grumbled. “Oh for… they still haven’t fixed that?”
“Guess the Electro attack knocked a pipe loose.”
“Right but it’s been like, a week!” Gwen grimaced. “Horizon can afford to fix the break room.”
Frustrated, Gwen checked her watch. “Crud, I gotta be somewhere.”
Paul smiled, “I do too, but really, thank you for the snack.”
“Don’t mention it,” Gwen said. “Literally, cause it’s a secret stash.”
Paul nodded to Gwen before the two left the break room, with Paul heading toward the Geology sector down the hall. It was one of the less secure parts of the lab, but in all honesty they weren’t trying to warp matter. They studied solids, and were mostly all about figuring out the secrets of the Earth. Sure, his work wasn’t going to change the world, but it was fulfilling nonetheless. He loved unraveling the little secrets each stone had, the little stories told over their lifetimes.
See, rocks are interesting! It’s all about how you frame it. As his dad would say, some would consider themselves lowly bricklayers, while others would say they build cathedrals.
Walking into the lab, Paul was met with a collection of different variations of the phrase, “Hi Paul!”. There was Gail, who said it with a tired sincerity. Grant, who was mostly pretty playful about their phrasing. Robert, who was clearly just really damn tired. Then, there was Al, who regarded him with general warmth. Together, the team set to work for the day, with Al dropping a strange green stone on Paul’s desk.
Paul smiled, “What do we have here?”
“Don’t know. Was just unearthed on one of the digs in Arizona.” Al said, “You blazed through your last assignment, so the higher ups want you to check this one out.”
Paul used gloved hands to inspect the stone closely. It was almost citrine-like in consistency, yet its sheen made it so much brighter. More glaringly, it seemed to be a fusion of two different colors, a bright yellow surface with dark purple veins. It was completely see-through, yet also appeared to glow at certain points.
“Al…I can’t think of anything like this off the top of my head that I’ve seen before..”
“That’s because it’s an entirely new kind of stone, and you get to learn all its ins and outs. With luck, they’ll even let you name it.”
“The people at the dig site give it a name?”
Al sighed, “Predictably, they called it a piss stone.”
Paul chuckled, “Of course they did.”
In the hours that followed, Paul took the stone’s measurements before doing every test he could think of on it, trying his best to identify all of its properties. It seemed as if it had undergone some extreme wear and tear, likely due in part to shoddy excavation work, and that it had to be handled carefully. Enough force and it would likely shatter. Additionally, he was able to identify its exact weight and size, yet as the geologists broke for lunch, there was one thing bugging the hell out of him.
How the hell did this thing produce light?
Even as he sat down around a table with the others in the Horizon cafeteria, he couldn’t get the question out of his head. He had his theories, but they were all pretty far-fetched. He’d have to do some further tests.
“Paul! Earth to Paul!”
“Huh?!” Paul shook his head, realizing that his coworkers were staring at him. “Oh, sorry. Was just thinking about the stone I was looking at today.”
“Is work all you think about?” Gail asked. “I’m thinking about Sunday, I’m ready to sleep in and binge some MasterChef.”
“Hey, leave him alone. He likes his work, we all do!” Grant said, glancing at Robert. “Right, Robert?”
“I wouldn’t be here if I hated it. None of us would.” Robert said. “But I’ve gotta say, Paul. You talk about work more than anything else. I’ve got no clue what you’re like outside of it.”
“Well, I mean…” Paul scratched his head. “I have hobbies! I’ll see a new movie every…year.”
“Yearly movies, what a treat,” Al said. “Get out more dude, if you want we can take you.”
“I dunno, I have a busy schedule,” Paul said. “Though if I’m free I’ll definitely let you know!”
The alarm on Paul’s phone went off, signifying the end of lunch. As the others left to put their trays away, Paul slowly finished his own food, thinking on his life in Manhattan so far. He’d been there for a few months, and far as he could tell his superiors loved him. He was driven, self organized, everything they wanted in an employee.
Yet he was also homesick, so far away from his family. He thought he’d make new friends while he was here, but so far he’d been mostly out of luck. That’s not to say he’s made any enemies or anything like that. Really, it’s just that people know that Paul is a guy who exists, and that’s the extent of it. It’s far from a terrible existence, but Paul would be lying if he said it was fulfilling.
Finishing his food, Paul returned his tray and left the cafeteria. It was time to get back to work.
The hours stretched by as Paul dedicated himself to the stone, conducting various experiments on it in hopes of gauging the origin of its sheen. From a microscope to shining different kinds of light onto it, Paul tried it all, yet he was hitting that brick wall each and every time. It was nearly eight now, well past the usual work time, and as the others piled out, Paul remained. Grabbing a UV light, Paul prepared to shine it on the stone when Al’s hand landed on his shoulder, “You’re free to go, Paul.”
“I know, but this is bugging me. I wanna get to the bottom of this thing and why it shines.”
“What, the piss stone?”
“We are not calling it the piss stone,” Paul shook his head. “Working name right now is Solaris.”
“Ah, like the sun. Fun!” Al scratched his chin before sighing. “Well, I’ll leave you to it.”
Paul nodded, taking a breather as the lights were dimmed. He was a bit tired, sure, but if he didn’t crack this now, all his wild ideas would be gone by morning. With nobody left in the lab, Paul exhaled before shining the UV light on the stone.
Then the stone sparkled, and everything changed. Paul’s vision narrowed, as if the stone was the center of a sort of cinematic dolly zoom. The world warped as Paul was sent spiraling upward, his entire body twisting and stretching like a chewed up piece of gum. A faint squeal left Paul’s mouth, nothing more. He was simply too afraid to make any louder sound, lest what was happening take an even darker turn. Then, as if he was spiraling into a tornado, Paul was pulled into the stone, then out a bright green portal, landing on a table in the empty cafeteria. It didn’t feel like a fall, more like he was picked up and placed somewhere else.
Paul sat up abruptly, in shock at what had just happened. To his surprise, he wasn’t sick, meaning this wasn’t some kind of trick where he was moved somewhere at high speeds. He was simply in the lab at one moment, then in the cafeteria the next. After a minute or so of shock, processing that he had just experienced teleportation, Paul leapt from the table and raced back to the lab, the light and stone still in his hands.
Barging in, he looked down at the stone. It continued to glow brightly, and in that moment Paul felt nothing but unending joy. This object, this mineral, was capable of such wonders. He had discovered a new form of transportation, a new way of travel. This would revolutionize the world! Paul had never expected to be a part of something like this, yet by accident, he may have found himself in the history books. Many would likely approach something so foreign with fear, but scientists press onward to new discoveries, and right now, Paul could not be more joyous about his own discovery.
“You! You little thing! You can take people across the Earth, across space, in seconds!” Paul laughed. “I’ll figure out how you glow tomorrow! Now, I’ve gotta write a repo-”
Without warning, a massive explosion cut Paul off, sending him flying across the room as the wall caved in behind him. Coughing up dust, he whimpered, entirely confused as three dangerous looking men entered the lab. One was dressed up like he was ready to go out for skiing, complete with the glasses and blood red hoodie, another was dressed for some kind of wedding, or maybe a dance, and the third sported green and purple colors that made him look fairly ridiculous.
“You absolute fool! You cannot simply throw your explosives around like toys!” The well dressed man shouted. “Brigand is a perfect name for you, suits your status as a certifiable simpleton!”
“Ah, lay off him, Tapping Tom. He’s not some snooty dick like you.” said the man in green.
“May I remind you that your name is Paste Pot Pete. I don’t think you have much ground to stand on.”
“Oh! Look at that, someone insults my name yet again! How original.”
The hooded man raised his hand, “Will both of you shut your traps?! I think I’ve got what we need.”
Grabbing Paul by his coat, the hooded man pulled him up. Paul tried his best not to panic, but it was difficult with an old timey gun jammed in his face. Brigand furrowed his brows, noting Paul’s nametag, “Where is it? We know you rock scientists have the stone.”
“W-What stone?”
Brigand shoved a photo in Paul’s face, depicting the Solaris stone, “The piss stone!”
Paul frowned, “It is not a piss stone!”
“So you know where it is?” Brigand dropped the photo. “Where?”
“I-Uh-I just!” As Paul stammered, his hand drifted down into his pocket. He had successfully pocketed the light and the stone, but if they searched him, it was all over. Still, he had to wonder why they wanted the stone in the first place? He had just discovered its properties, so how would anyone else know it was anything other than a moderately shiny stone.
“Alright, gonna stall us? Then let’s heat this whole thing up!” Putting away his pistol, Brigand pulled out a grenade and pulled the pin with his covered mouth. His fingers remained on the release, preventing the timer from starting. “All I have to do is put this in your pocket and leave, and tomorrow your friends will mistake what’s left of you for a big giant accident involving tomato soup.”
“Oh god, I just-I don’t wanna be soup! I like soup but not human soup!” Gulping, Paul reached for his pocket, only for something to stop him. He could die right here, right now, boom. Yet despite his self preservation kicking in, there was also a sense of dread in what handing over the stone might do. Why did they want it? What were they going to do with it?
They were rough types, and if they were going to use it to hurt someone…Paul couldn’t let that happen.
Instead of conceding, Paul grabbed the UV light and shined it in Brigand's eyes, causing him to grunt and drop the grenade. Paul was now regretting his impromptu choice of heroics. As Tapping Tom and Paste Pot Pete began to yell in a panic, Paul’s eyes darted around the room, looking for something to shield the room from the blast. Spotting a carbonadium bowl meant for washing dangerous materials, Paul grabbed it and slammed it face down on the grenade, silently praying that he wasn’t about to paint the lab with himself.
A boom rocked the room, and as the floor caved in, Paul was sent screaming to the floor below.
Present Day…again
Paul did not have time to think about the who and the why anymore. The stone was not normal, the bad men wanted it, and little old Paul couldn’t let that happen. It was time to leave. Getting up, Paul began to run for the stairs, racing down them in hopes of getting to the ground floor before they had a chance to split up. However, halfway down, Paul gasped, stopping short of a sheer drop as the stairs abruptly ended in rubble. Of course the damage from the Electro break-in wasn’t fixed, though they should’ve at least put some tape over the door to signify the damage. Retracing his steps, Paul exited on the lowest floor he could, hoping to find another way down.
That was a mistake.
Rounding a corner into a long hallway, Paul stopped dead at the sight of five robots, all dressed exactly like the tuxedo man from before, top hat and all. With canes in hand, the robots spotted Paul, and with aggressive vigor, they began to dance. One foot in front of the other, the slam of the cane punctuating each energetic advance. Paul stumbled back, bumping into a water cooler before finally realizing the bind he was in. These robots were forcing him down a set path, and turning around, he spotted Tapping Tom on the other end.
“Impressive, right? They’re a product of my own design! Just as good as the real thing!” A smirk formed on Tom’s face. “Well, almost as good, no robot can match the human’s capacity for art.”
Glancing back at the robots, Paul had to think quickly before they were on top of him. Realizing he was still leaning on the water cooler, Paul grabbed it and knocked it over, causing water to spill everywhere in front of the robots. As their dancing led them over the liquid, they quickly began to slip and fall, and one by one, they landed in disorganized heaps. The water splashed onto their metal plating, and as it made contact with the circuits inside, they began to shake and spasm, flopping on the ground like fish until they settled into a new rhythm.
They were no longer tap dancers. They were proud members of The Worm club.
Tapping Tom’s eyes widened at the incident, his hands gripping the sides of his head, “No! What have you done! Where is their elegance?! Their majesty! Months with a soldering iron, wasted!”
“That’s a design flaw right there. Gotta insulate your creations,” Paul said. “Or y’know, maybe if you stick 'em in a bowl of rice they’ll be salvageable.”
Tapping Tom growled before pointing his cane at Paul, “I do not need your advice, only the stone in your possession!”
“How do you even know I-”
“It glows, you fool! We can see it through your coat pocket!”
Paul looked down at his coat, and sure enough the stone was glowing so brightly that it was its own source of light. Grimacing, Paul looked back at Tapping Tom, “Any chance we can talk about this?”
“No….now die!”
Tapping Tom lunged for Paul with his cane, forcing Paul to scramble to the side as the two began a game of tag. Tom raced after Paul, attempting to smack him with his weapon, while Paul stumbled to and fro, doing his best to remain unharmed. He would love to say it was like some elegant dance, with each combating the other with amazing footwork, but really it was just one angry guy chasing a different guy around with a cane. Eventually, the two stumbled over the spilled water, and Tapping Tom, not realizing what he was getting into, began to slip.
“Wa-Wa-Woah!” Tom fell backwards, and out of some sense of not wanting anyone to get hurt, Paul reached out and caught his hand, keeping him level. For a moment, it looked somewhat beautiful, like the final pose of a ballerina duo. The two stared at each other in bewilderment.
Then Tom had to go and muck things up.
Yelping, Tom smacked Paul on the top of his head with his cane, causing Paul to yowl in pain. Letting go, Tom’s eyes widened as he fell backwards, conking his head on one of his robots. His eyes rolled up as he laid there, limp. Paul stared in horror, had he just killed someone. Kneeling down, he checked Tom’s pulse, noting that he was still alive.
With no time to spare, Paul then raced down the hall, barging through the door to the break room before slamming it behind him. He was getting close to another set of stairs now, he just had to get through the break room and he’d practically be there. Racing for the other door, he was about halfway across the room when Paste Pot Pete kicked the door open, causing Paul to scream as he stumbled backwards, tumbling over a table and upending it in the process. As Paul fell, Pete fired a volley of paste at him, blocked only by the cover Paul had accidentally created, “Aha! Got you now!”
Paul struggled to keep control of his own breathing, knocking over a chair in the process as Pete marched towards him, Paste-gun aimed squarely at the table, “Do you like my chemical adhesive, it dries nearly instantly, and nothing has ever been able to escape it. If you don’t wanna spend the rest of your life on the wall, I’d suggest you give the stone to me.”
Paul shook his head, realizing that there was no clever way out, not this time. He was gonna be the wall guy from now on, he could just tell. At least if he got pasted, at least that’d make it hard for them to get to the stone.
Still, a part of Paul knew he had to at least put up a fight. Grabbing the fallen chair, Paul pressed it against his chest, closing his eyes as he steeled himself for what might be his final moments. Then, without warning, he let out a war cry as he emerged from behind the table, charging at Paste Pot Pete with the chair’s legs as a battering ram. He could hear Pete’s panic, firing off a volley of different paste shots, yet he felt nothing hit him, nothing except some kind of impact against the chair followed by a slam as he collided with Pete. Tripping on a loose can, Paul fell to the side as something hit the wall in front of him. As he shuddered, slowly looking up while opening his eyes, he was met with a most miraculous sight.
Paste Pot Pete was stuck to the wall underneath a loose cabinet, the chair locking him against the wall since it was covered in paste. In his panic, he had fired a shot point blank at the wall, enveloping his hand and the paste gun in the very same adhesive. As Paul looked at the sight in amazement, the cabinet door above broke, and a bunch of granola bars began to pour out through the crack. They landed in the adhesive, causing Paul to cringe, “Aw no! Not the snack stash!”
Paste Pot Pete stared at Paul, “H-How did you do that?! What the hell, I had the upper hand.”
“Um…I’ll tell you later, gotta go!”
Paul darted out of the breakroom, leaving Pete to mumble to himself about how this was all bullshit.
After finding the stairs, Paul finally reached the ground floor, and after a few more hallways he’d be out the back door. Sprinting towards the hall that led to the exit, Paul was nearly around the corner when Brigand barged through a connecting door, getting directly in front of him. As Paul struggled to slow down, the thug spotted him and leveled his pistol at Paul, “Well well well, would you look at that! Here you are!”
Paul raised his hands, hoping that he wasn’t just going to get gunned down in the hallway. As Paul eyed the old looking gun with caution, Brigand smirked, “Ooh, curious about my gun, are you?”
“Err, a little,” Paul knew that if he kept this guy talking, then maybe he could extend his life, at least by a few minutes. “What kind of gun is it?”
“Well, this here is a genuine P38 German handgun. This thing was the standard sidearm for German soldiers during World War 2. Now, you might be thinking, Brigand! Do you have some ancestors from the Nazi Regime? My reply? Hell no! Fuck the Nazis and Fuck Hitler!”
Paul had no clue where this guy was going with this, and frankly, he didn’t care. As Brigand rambled, Paul began to inch to the side, slowly making his way around the thug as Brigand continued to talk, “The real story is, my granddaddy was a G.I. He was in Berlin during the war, and lo and behold, he stumbled across the great big tiny mustached bastard himself. Of course, by then he’d gone and given himself a ticket down to hell, but my granddaddy thought it’d be good to take a souvenir, so he grabbed Hitler’s pistol, and now our family heirloom is this pretty little number, the gun that killed Hitler!”
Brigand stroked the gun affectionately, “In my darkest moment, I almost sold it, but then I realized that I could use it instead! I mean, can you guess how much street cred you get when you use the gun that killed Hitler to kill other people?! It’s crazy, right?!” Brigand looked up, only to find that Paul had fled down the hall, “Aw, fuck.”
Paul was nearly out of breath as he rounded the corner, sprinting towards the exit. There were a duo of elevators next to the exit for ease of access, something Paul wished he’d thought of back upstairs, but it was too late now. Behind him, he could hear Brigand yelling at him, chasing him. A gunshot rang out, though it wasn’t directed at Paul. He was trying to intimidate him, get him to stop. Paul almost did, yet a part of him knew if he did that would mean the stone would fall into unsafe hands.
Then, just as he was getting close to the exit, the elevator door dinged, and a woozy Tapping Tom stumbled out. Paul’s eyes widened as the unsteady man used his cane to balance himself, and upon spotting Paul, Tom let out a weak yell before blocking the exit. Whirling around, Paul realized that Brigand had nearly caught up with him, leveling his pistol at Paul’s head. There was no way out.
No way out except the crystal.
With nowhere left to go, Paul pulled out the stone and the UV Light, and as the flash of the handgun erupted the muzzle, Paul screamed as he shined the light on the stone, and without warning he experienced the trippy, impossible to describe feeling of traveling across reality in an instant. Next thing he knew, he was screaming his head off in a late night cafe, disturbing the entire restaurant as his screams quieted into a squeal, then into a faint, “Ahhhhhhh.” Embarrassed, Paul looked around, noting that he was seated at a booth, “Um…sorry…does anyone know how I can order a mocha?”
In a dark penthouse, a man in a suit watched over the city, shrouded in shadow. The city lights would make a good match for the stars if light pollution didn’t muck things up. Still, the man enjoyed looking over everyone, it helped him express that he was above it all. Still, he had his complaints, and he was voicing one of them to a subordinate on the phone.
“How did you fuck it up, Brigand?”
“I didn’t. He just fucking vanished! The piss stone can do that?! Why didn’t you tell me?!”
“It’s not a fucking piss stone! It is an artifact of great power and I wanted you to retrieve it! The less information you received, the better, but it appears that that is no longer a sustainable approach.”
“So what, you gonna tell me everything you know so I can do my job properly?”
“No, you’re gonna tell me which poindexter has the stone, so I can make your job easier.”
“Shit um…I saw his nametag. His name is Paul-”
Paul smiled, handing the Barista a bill, exchanging it for a large mocha latte at the register. As she took the bill, Paul smiled, “Keep the change.”
“Are you sure? You gave me a twenty for a five dollar cup of coffee.”
“Uh, yeah.” Paul felt very awkward getting a coffee while drenched in sweat, though the pieces of glass in his face certainly didn’t make things better. It hurt a bit, but it wasn’t enough for him to go to the hospital. Even then, going to a hospital might endanger people since he was being chased. He needed to, as people in the movies would say, lie low.
“That’s a huge tip sir, are you sure-”
“Yeah, yeah I’m just…I’m sure it’s good coffee and you’ve been…really considerate considering I started screaming five minutes ago and…thank you for not calling the police because I’m definitely guilty of disturbing the peace,” Paul idled awkwardly, realizing he was running out of things to say. “I…I like what you’re doing with your hair! You look very nice.”
“Oh…well…thank you!” The barista beamed before taking the bill. “Your coffee sir?”
“Thank you very much!” Paul took the latte and moved back to his booth, taking a sip of the pure mixture of caffeine and sugar. He didn’t partake in this kind of drink often, but he had a feeling he would need the energy. Then, he pulled the stone out of his pocket, its glow still exceedingly visible.
“Why do people want you…” Paul realized he was asking the wrong question, “Hmm…actually, why do people know you were at Horizon? You just got there! Did someone pay for that information? How do they know what you do when I just figured it out?! Why am I talking to an inanimate object!”
Paul sighed, pocketing the stone before considering the game plan going forward. He would call the police….no, they wouldn’t be able to handle the likes of those pursuing him. Did any superheroes have hotlines he could use? Sue Storm was involved with Horizon, maybe she could help him. As he wondered what to do next, suddenly every TV in the cafe went to static, then cut to some kind of elaborate livestream. The sound echoed from outside, suggesting that this was happening to every screen in the city. On the livestream, a man in a black hoodie and balaclava appeared, “Yo, what’s going on my fellow criminals and ne'er do wells! It’s me, Anonymous Hacker Number One-Hundred, coming to you live with a new job, hot off the presses! Seems some pocket protector scientist has pissed off some very important people, and now we have ourselves a contract! Give it up for our target…P-P-P-P-Paaaauuuulllll!”
Paul’s face flashed on the screen. It was the picture used during his college graduation, when he was extremely happy. He was not happy now, his face taking on the color and texture of milk.
Hacker one-hundred cleared his throat, “I would say your last name but I don’t know how to pronounce it. I’ll just put it up in text later. Anyways, the first person turns his ass to grass and takes a yellow stone in his possession, gets Ten Mil in the bank baby! This is your public job announcement over! Later losers!”
The screens returned to normal, and Paul could do nothing but sit in abject terror. His parents had always told him to keep swearing in check, it was the sign of someone who was not organized, not in control of their life, yet in that moment, Paul had two words to say.
“Fucking…..Shi-”

2023.07.18 11:30 VinTEB Arcane Summons - Prologue Part 1 and 2

Author's note: Welcome!
All OCs in this book are created by me, however I do not own credit to Two Kinds, that belongs to Tom Fischbach, and World of Magic is owned by Vetexgames.
Author's note (OLD): Hello everyone! And welcome to my fanfic! This is my first fanfic I've ever written and it's a crossover of Two Kinds, I haven't really been up to date with the original yet so pardon me if I mess up with the timeline and separate from the canon story and lore, I will still read TK so that I could still make it as lore-accurate as possible.
About the crossover: Yeeeah... It started off as just an idea, making a crossover of Two Kinds with a dead Roblox game seems like a bad idea, but the lore of the game Vetex made was just too interesting. You should check it out by searching "Arcane Adventures lore" if you're interested, though in this fanfic it has some OCs, and deviations from canon lore so it's basically an AU of mine.
So the making of this fanfic went with this: I started thinking about it, and I said to myself "Why not?" and then started to write it! Chapters may be short but I can make it longer if I can, anyways, that's it folks! Enjoy reading! I will welcome reviews or any questions!
Prologue Part 1
Gaia, Magius, Citrine City Capital, Y2,985
Today's a quiet night at the palace in the center of the still bustling capital city of Magius.
There were fewer councilmen than normal, as the leader of this nation sent everyone to vacation as a reward for their hard work.
Within a certain office, was its owner, still sorting out his own paperwork.
Black spiky hair swayed to the side, eyes colored red, and an ever present frown. He wore a white military uniform similar to a general's, outlined with green. Black pants and brown shoes.
This person currently sitting upon a chair to a desk was none other than the ruler of Magius, Director Trigno.
Despite his young look, he was anything but. He had walked on this land for over hundreds of years.
He was also a former pirate, until he quit after the last war on this world ended a thousand years ago.
He is also close friends with the one who ended that war, the Peacekeeper.
Said Peacekeeper had also just arrived at his office.
"Still working late again, Trigno?"
He didn't look up from his paperwork sorting, only responding to his friend. "Henry."
The man who ended the last war only shook his head at Trigno.
"You know, you really should take a break."
"Can't. Don't have the time," Trigno replied monotonously.
"What do you mean you don't have time? We basically live forever, you know?" Said Henry.
"Not what I meant."
Trigno heard a sigh from Henry.
"Can't you just look at your friend when he's talking to you?"
Trigno stopped his paperwork, and looked up at Henry.
Light blue hair, with emerald green eyes on an easygoing smile. Wearing a desert cloak (Trigno still had no idea why Henry started wearing that) that covered most of his casual clothing underneath.
The people called him the Peacekeeper, but his real name is Henry Clay.
Prior to a thousand years ago, he was just a rookie mage, until he trained under the tutelage of powerful individuals, including Trigno, during his adventures.
There had been a great evil, that had brought chaos in this world ever since the Fall of the Old Civilization, and during the Great Cursebeard War, this same great evil was finally defeated by Henry, ending the war in the process, after reaching his full potential.
After the war had ended, Henry used his great magical prowess to lift a continent from underneath the sea. This very same land they lived upon is that same continent.
He was then called "The Peacekeeper" by everyone, after his great deeds and feats during his adventures were known throughout the world.
Henry then sat on a chair that was in front of Trigno's desk. While doing so, his face shifted from easygoing, to serious.
Trigno noticed it, and asked. "Something wrong?"
Henry didn't say anything for a while, until he opened his mouth. "I have something to tell you. It's about something that has happened beyond this world."
Trigno sat in attention. He knew there were multiple worlds, ever since Henry achieved an ability that was the great evil's source of power, and in extension, could unlock gateways between worlds.
"What is it?" Trigno asked.
Henry looked down and gulped, before answering. "Something terrible has happened. It already took place before I could unlock worlds…"
Henry looked up at Trigno, face becoming pale. "Trigno… this world will end soon."
Trigno widened his eyes in shock and horror. "What…"
"Don't worry, I have a plan for that." He quickly reassured Trigno. "During my adventure into multiple worlds, I have found a way to place this continent onto another world."
Trigno was greatly shocked again. "That's incredible, Henry…"
Trigno then noticed something. While Henry was talking about the spell he discovered, he only still looked less happy.
A pit formed in his stomach. "There's a catch, isn't there?"
Henry looked down after Trigno called him out. "Yes… in order for this spell to work, it has to take a lot out of me, and…"
Trigno waited for him to finish. The pit slowly grew as he waited.
"...I have to be out of its area to perform it."
Henry's sentence felt like something had stabbed him in the chest.
No… Trigno tried to deny it. "Wait… you can't be serious, right?"
Henry didn't answer, still looked serious ever since this conversation started.
Trigno glared at him. "No…"
"Trign-"
"There must be another way, right?"
"...No Trigno, there isn-"
"Well, there HAS to be!" Trigno looked at him in desperation. "It has to be there, somewhere in one of those worlds-"
"I TRIED, TRIGNO!" Henry yelled at him to stop. "I have searched almost every possible world, to find another way, but there is none!"
While Henry had been talking, Trigno's fists were clenching on the edge of the desk.
In all his life, he had always outlived his friends, ever since obtaining a power known as a Sea Curse.
The Curse gives him the power to turn into its element, and thereby rendering him invulnerable to attacks that aren't magical in nature. It may seem a great boon for naive, power hungry fools, but it wasn't for Trigno.
Sea Curses removes all the user's energy if they were to be submerged in water, turning them into a hammer, and lastly, it stops them from aging.
So, ever since then, Trigno had been outliving everyone he knew, and the next people he became friends with.
Then, Henry came along, who had obtained the great evil's source of power, the Absorption Curse, which enabled him to steal all magics and curses alike.
It also allowed him to live forever, like Trigno. So, for the first time, he had felt like he finally found someone worthy of calling a friend.
It would've been fine for Trigno if Henry had decided to rest in peace, but right now, it wasn't the case.
It was a case of sacrifice. Something Henry did not deserve, after what he had done for this world.
Tears had begun to appear in the corner of his eyes as he looked down on his desk, muttering. "It's not fair…"
He was going to lose his friend, not by leaving peacefully, but by sacrificing himself one last time.

Red—Red was all Trigno could see in the sky as he stared at it. Orders were issued already to his councilmen to prepare for a continental-wide evacuation to the tunnels, but he couldn't dispel panic that was reigning all over the continent. No one knew what was happening, other than him, and Henry.
This disaster was eerily similar to the Fall of the Old Civilization event, that ravaged the world years ago. Chunks of ocean blown to the red skies caused by volcanic eruptions, it's as if the world had decided to unleash all its piling magma, like a global-spanning eruption.
It all seemed like it was really the end of the world this time. No human settlements can survive this, unlike the last one, and all of humanity would have no hope of surviving to this day.
But Trigno had hope, hope that all of Magius would survive, and trust. Trust in the Peacekeeper.
Henry had somehow predicted when this event would occur about a year ago, and had told it to him, and the Seven Star Wizards in secret.
The Seven Star Wizards is an order of seven powerful wizards Trigno formed to be the protectors, and senate of Magius. Each can level an entire city with only a few attacks.
They had been created based on his own fear that if he, or his successors, were to go mad with power and turn on their own people, then they would be more than enough to deal with himself, or his successors.
When Henry relayed his plan to them, many doubts were placed upon him by the Wizards, but Trigno cleared all of that, and soon began preparing within a year.
Henry had a plan, which required everyone to build a continental-wide tunnel system so that they wouldn't be exposed to the magical radiation.
The plan was a dangerous one, Henry warned, which he might get everyone killed, but Trigno trusted him, and placed his hopes that his plan would work.
There was one thing that Trigno didn't put his hopes on anymore, however. It would be that Henry would ever survive this.
It was obvious. The procedure required him to be outside of the zone.
Trigno, at first, wanted to find another way, but Henry already told him numerous times during his bouts of grief that there was no other way.
Now, a year later, he had mostly moved on.
He already had said his goodbyes to him, and internally promised that he would move forward completely, and be the leader the people of Magius needed.
And as he was reminiscing back when he was a pirate…
…Back when he, Henry, and another companion, Angel Creed, traveled together, before her unfortunate death…
…When he trained Henry to become who he is today, and will still be: The Peacekeeper, a resounding boom was felt all over the continent.
When he opened his eyes after a tear left his eye, a new color replaced the red skies.
He saw white.

Prologue Part 2
Mekkan, Western Basitin Kingdom, Northern Countryside, Y475
As the sun rises over the horizon, its rays illuminate the beaches, along with a village situated just a walking distance away from the great blue sea. As the darkness of the night retreated from the sun's great glare, the inhabitants of the village slowly arose from their slumber.
These inhabitants were not the more common creatures of man, however. In fact, they resemble a more feline-like appearance, but with longer ears.
These creatures are known as Basitin, a native race to this world.
As time went on, more and more of the natives awoke, then returned to their own daily activities in the village. Eventually, the village became much busier than it was during the night.
As the night further receded into the corners of the world, something became noticeable for the inhabitants of the village, as some raised their hands to point at the direction to the beach facing it.
It was a wall of cloud. Unlike the clouds of a raging storm, it was just pure white.
Some raised one of their eyebrows at it, some scratched their heads, as they try to figure out what it could possibly be. Eventually, they dismissed it, and returned back to their usual pastime.
While it may seem like an unnatural occurrence that hasn't happened before within their kingdom's lifetime at all, they are not that curious as to just sail there, and take a closer look. They have abstained themselves from going further beyond the borders of their fishing grounds, and have remained ignorant of the world, and that's fine for them.

Human Empire, Morlin Hall
The Human Empire's relatively humble capitol city. Its huge castle sits atop one of the only large hills in an otherwise flat region of land, surrounded by fields and forests. Farms and smaller outlying villages dot the landscape, extending for miles in all directions to provide food for the city center.[1]
In one of the castle's countless rooms, stands a certain woman garbed in a white robe- her uniform of a certain Order, peering through the window, and into the horizon.
"What in the name of the masks is that?"
Mary Silverlock, Grand Templar of its order, muttered as she squinted her eyes towards the far ocean. The object she was trying hard to see was some sort of structure of cloud, which could be seen due to the castle's height.
What was initially thought to be a huge storm, was instead a giant dome of clouds, suddenly had light piercing through its center. In all her years of being the head of the Templar Order, which came with all the experience of studying magic, she had never seen, nor heard of this occurrence before.

A realm beyond Mekkan, The Demigod Realm
As this is happening, three of the most powerful beings, (other than the primary God of Mekkan) the Masks, can be seen looking down on a top-down perspective of the entirety of the world they supervise.
"Hmm…"
One of the Masks muttered. The owner of this voice is the one with an all black cloak, which seems to look much more shadow-like, far less corporeal than his fellow Masks with feathered black wings, a grey mask, though his is cracked down the middle, and finally, with horns.
The mortals of Mekkan called him "Chaos."
"This is… peculiar." Another one of the three Masks surmised.
Similar to 'Chaos', she has a grey cloak, with an equally grey cracked mask with a strange marking under its left eye and a crack over the right. This one is called "Neutral" or more commonly known as Ephemeral.
"Quite," answered the final, and third of the Masks.
Seemingly different from the the two, it has an all white cloak, with a black mask and seems to have some wings as well. This Mask is called "Order."
'Order' then turned its mask to glance on a note on the floor, it said:
"Hi! I am REALLY sorry for the inconvenience, but please take care of everyone for me!" -H.
'Order' only has the slightest clue (which is none,) who this "H" is, and neither does it assume one of the other two would know as well.
"So, what do you think we should do about this?" Ephemeral questioned to 'Chaos.'
'Chaos' for a moment did not say anything, only seemingly weighing his options, when finally, he shrugged. "I say we should wait. What's your opinion on this?"
"...While I despise you, and I still do, I will have to agree with you on this." Ephemeral responded, before turning her mask to the image of Mekkan, particularly to the white ever-growing dot of clouds.
"This type of magic… It is unheard of, and likely powerful."
'Order' started, then elaborated further. "Even with all of us combined, I'm afraid we could not perform a similar feat like this, without reaching our limits, and without crumbling an entire continent during the process."
"Not to mention, while also leaving a half-assed note like that in our realm." 'Chaos' pointed at the note, which is still on the floor, with his hand, which has fairly light skin, almost yellow, and sharp claws.
"Then, what is your stance on this, 'Order'?" Ephemeral asked.
"I say we should observe, for now." 'Order' responded.
"Either way, I doubt that this possibly powerful entity will care enough about what we could do to their creation, as they basically just gave up their responsibility to us. More importantly, I am rather curious to see how their creation fares in this domain." 'Chaos' spoke.
"I am, as well." Ephemeral also said.
'Order' doesn't say anything, only turning its mask towards the image.
I hope that this is the key we needed. 'Order' muttered in thought.
To end this game.

The Grand Sea, East of the Western Basitin Kingdom and South of the Tiger Territory
As the water boils at its highest temperature, the gigantic dome of mist grows ever so slightly, until a beam of light enveloped the mist.
Then, it stopped. The boiling water no longer being heated, as it stopped producing mist. As it slowly flows away, the objects become even more clearer.
One particular object looked like a flag. As the mist slowly cleared, it can be shown clearly in all its green, white and yellow glory.[2]
To be continued.

Haul Items

Came in a nice waterproof packaging, was very happy.
Yeezy 350 V2 Citrin & Ash Pearl - ¥160 - Size: 46
I sized up once on these because i have wider foot and also love to have more room.Never owned a pair of retail yeezys so i had to get a bit used to the shape of the shoe, but they are insanely comfortable. Bought from Lol2021, shipped in 6 days. I love them, these 2 pairs of yeezys are my favorite cop out of this haul. I am not very experienced in QC-ing yeezys, but i know that these have a few flaws, keep in mind the 160 price. The Ash Pearl colorway just feels better on foot for some reason. Would recommend if you want a good quality cheap yeezy!

Yeezy Foam Runner Onyx - ¥150 - Size: 46
I sized up once on these because i have wider foot and also love to have more room. As everybody knows, foam runners are very comfortable, and so are these. I mainly bought them for gym, but these work really well in school outfits/outside. A great cop imo, so i definitely recommend trying a pair. Simple Colorway.
Rating: 9/10 - QC Photos - W2C - In Hand

Canada Goose beanie - ¥14.5 - adjustable x2
The beanie is very comfy, it fits very well on the head, and the materials are surprisingly good quality taking into consideration the price. Overall a great cop
Rating: 9/10 - QC Photos - W2C - In Hand

Coach Wallet - ¥150 - Color: Brown
This piece is for my mom, the quality is good, the stitching is on point, she loves it. Everything is good about this wallet.
Rating: 8.5/10 - QC Photos - W2C

Kaws Keychain - ¥2.8 a piece
Bought 3 of these. Not much to say about them, simple and nice keychains.
Rating: 10/10 - QC Photos - W2C - In Hand

Carhartt Socks - ¥18.9 a piece - Size: one size fits all - 1 Black Pair, 1 White Pair
The thickness is nice and not paper thin, I have only worn socks that are very thin or thick that will keep you warm from the cold and these are like thin but not as thin, they feel great on feet too so 0 problems with me, never tried real pairs so I can't really compare but I would recommend.
Rating: 9.5/10 - QC Photos - W2C - In Hand

Eric Emanuel Shorts - ¥37.9 - Size: XXL - Color: Brown
Size Up 2x!!. They are very thin, see-trough, i know all ee shorts are, but wasn't expecting this much. Will only wear them in-doors. Would not cop again.
Rating: 4.5/10 - QC Photos - W2C - In Hand

Supreme Playing Cards - ¥18.00
Nothing to say about these..simple playing cards. They are very slippery tho so the only downside.

2023.01.13 04:03 Samuscabrona 1998

I was around eight years old when I realized (as did my family) that I had a unique memory. “Photographic”, they called it. It’s nothing like a photograph.
I always assumed everyone could recall their first day of preschool, or the names of kids they met only once at the arcade. But at eleven years old- my sister Cammie was chosen for a game show on the radio.
Without hesitation, she chose me as her teammate to bring with. She could have chosen either of our parents, or even our older brother, Charlie, who was in college. She could have picked one of her friends, eighth graders like herself. But she chose me.
I remember sitting around the kitchen table, eating dinner, the pitch black Midwest winter night just outside the giant kitchen window behind my dad. He and my mom were totally supportive of the idea.
He had offered even to drive us to the radio station.
“I would have chosen you too, Bobbie” my mom had said, laughing. “You remember every weird fact ever.”
It was true. I could close my eyes and see every house my parents had ever brought us to. I could draw the floor plans if I wanted to. My siblings would ask me to retell stories or movie plots on long car rides.
But it wasn’t until the radio show, and my sister choosing me as her person, that I knew I had something special.
I can still remember going to bed that night after dinner feeling excited. I finally fell asleep in my bed, pressed up against the wall that divided my room from my sister’s. Her voice through the vent above my bed, saying goodnight like she did every night. The smell of dust on the furnace. The sound of old, creaking boards directly above me in the cold attic. That was the last night I was happy to have my amazing memory. To this day, I wish I could forget what happened next.
I wish I could tell you we won the game show. I wish I could tell you, with incredible detail, what it was like at the studio. Maybe then, when I close my eyes I would see all of that, and not the black, whipping night blurring past me as I ran. I would feel the rush of anticipation and my sisters hand squeezing mine, instead of cold, wet gravel scraping my cheek and palms from when I tried to crawl away on two sprained ankles. I would hear the producers cue and the canned audience applause, not the frantic, desperate flapping of leathery wings as they neared.
Maybe I would have won a t-shirt that still sits in my dresser. Maybe my sister would have won the thousand dollar prize. Maybe I would sleep with my door unlocked. I’ll never know. What I do know, without any shadow of a doubt, is that I would not have survived any of it if my family hadn’t believed me. To this day, it is the thing I am most grateful for in the entire world.
It was the day after that dinner, a Tuesday, February 17th. School had been agonizingly slow, as I knew it would be all week waiting for Friday. It was all we could talk about on the way home. For years, I had walked to school with Yuki and my best friend Dominic, who lived on the street perpendicular to mine. The creek crossed under Citrine Drive and wound it’s way along Dominic’s backyard. There are hundreds of childhood memories in my head, of he and I and our siblings jumping over the creek, building bridges from his yard over the creek to the field behind the rec center. Sliding on the ice in the winter, or half-assed fishing and turtle catching in the summer. I always had envied my friends who could walk right from their back door to the our little winding creek.
It was cold, but hadn’t snowed for a few weeks. There were still some small patches of ice on the sidewalk, but most of it had melted, along with the slurry-gray mounds of stale snow along the curbs and in small scattered patches on the grass. I had balked at my mother’s suggestion to wear a skirt and heels to the radio show.
There was massive construction happening on the other side of the creek. They were building a stupid business center on the field we used to play kickball on, the crane was visible between two houses behind us. Snow was due that weekend and everything would be coated and beautiful again.
The downside of a blanket of snow was the eerie quiet it caused, and how hard it was to sleep at night when the moonlight and the snow were so bright, even with my eyes closed.
It was nearing 6pm and the mid-February sky was already darkening. We had stopped under the flickering gold streetlight at the corner of Citrine and Amethyst, my street. I remember huddling close in a group, talking. I remember the wind picking up and the edges of the sky glowing purple behind the houses along Citrine.
This was when my oldest brother, on break for one more week drove up to the corner in our mom’s sedan.
“Hey Bobbie-“ he had called, giving my friends a little wave that they all returned. He was returning some jeans to the mall and wanted me to come with.
It was rare Charlie asked me to do anything. I think about that a lot. Had he paid more attention to me before that night- would i have gotten in the car? Would things have been different? I think about all the choices I made that led to what happened- but none as much as the decision to get into the car with my brother instead of walking home that evening.
Maybe I wouldn’t sleep in my closet. Maybe I would have a family of my own. I’ll never know. Then again, maybe we would have never seen Charlie again.
If you asked, I could tell you every moment of that trip to the mall. The conversation we had- mainly Charlie asking if things fit him or were flattering. Charlie had come out to our parents a few months before that night (they were not surprised, or phased).
He had told me that night that he had gone to a gay bar and felt underdressed and now he felt pressured to be fashionable. The last thing Charlie said to me before we got in that damned car was,
“It’s funny, even if you’re different- there’s still pressure to be the same”.
At 8:53 pm, on Tuesday, February 17th of 1998, Charlie and I were in the front seat of our mother’s 1995 maroon Lumina. We were at the final stop sign of the ride home, it was 38 degrees outside and Pearl Jam’s Ten was in the CD player.
We were at the corner of Pondside and Citrine, about to turn left into our neighborhood and home to our family. Our mother had lasagna waiting for us. We were third in line at the three-way stop.
On Charlie’s side of the street was Yuki’s house- with pretty lanterns lining the paved path to the courtyard of their U-ranch home. On my side, past my window, was the pond. The path that led around the pond and up the hill was bright at the edges from the streetlight, but quickly faded to black- with only the occasional twinkle of a back porch light in the distance. The remains of the moon tower built in the 70s were barely discernible against the sky. Only via the absence of stars in the shape of the structure that was only recognizable to those of us who grew up there. It was a scene that had made me feel small and afraid countless times. The cold radiating from the window made me feel even more anxious, though now I realize that was adrenaline- an ancient alarm system going off in my bloodstream. Survival mode manifesting in goosebumps and what I mistook for the heebie-jeebies.
The black-black of the moon tower against the blue-black of the sky shifted as my eyes stared and adjusted. I had thought about a sleepover game Dominic and I had played when we were in third grade- staring at each other’s faces in the dark until they morphed and changed and threw us into giggle fits. It wasn’t until the bottom left star above the hill disappeared that I realized it wasn’t my eyes playing tricks on me. It wasn’t until the pitch grew larger that I opened my mouth to say something. Charlie was deep in the chorus of Evenflow and never heard it coming.
It was a low whistle- like an old man out for a walk- two notes, one high and one lower. It repeated again louder, and I had turned to tell Charlie when I saw the red light of the brake lights of the car in front of us fade from his face as he finally saw what was coming.
Only it hadn’t come from the pitch black over the pond- it came from the other side, slamming into the driver’s side of the car in front of us- shattering the glass into a hailstorm crashing onto our windshield. The impact was so intense that both left wheels had lifted off the ground.
Charlie initially cursed loudly and went to open his door to help. I had screamed at him not to but I barely got a word out before a penetrating silent vacuum filled the air around me- sucking the air from my lungs. Seconds later, my window was shattering over me, glass stinging my cheek and the wind whipping my blood across my face into my mouth as I screamed. I knew before I opened my eyes that it wasn’t just an accident- that there was no car or bike or even human assailant. I knew before I pried my eyes open, that everything I had feared as a child, that all the myths and legends and ghost stories- were real. I knew it wasn’t bats, or birds- I knew as I felt frantic clawing at the nylon remains of my seatbelt- that it was a monster. Not a cute, storybook monster- but an ancient, angry and bitter creature. One that had been there long before I had, or the town had, or even people had. The last thing I saw before I felt hooks sink into my shoulders and was lifted into the black swirling cold, was Charlie slumped over the steering column- Eddie Vedder’s voice still calling out to me until I couldn’t hear him anymore.
Not for one second did I think it was a dream. The cold made sure of that. My legs heavily dragging across the broken glass of the car window, ripping my jeans and slamming my legs into the frame- I knew it was real. The biting night sky whipping around as I violently sank a few feet as the hooks in my shoulder began to slip. I experienced a new level of pain as I felt jagged talons pierce my side and I folded forward, as I was yanked backwards into the pitch. I felt another agonizing piercing on the other side of my torso before being yanked up away from the earth and everything I had ever known. I was pulled into the pitch past the streetlights, but whatever had me was struggling.
I fell twenty feet onto the ice hard gravel path but wasn’t freed. Violent, metallic screams flooded my ears and bones as my forehead and chin were scraped along the gravel path. I desperately clawed at the earth, trying to find anything to grip but only found fistfuls of gravel and goose shit. The talons in my side ripped out suddenly and I felt a sickening oozing coming from my sides. I had tried to roll over to my knees but the pain on each side was so horrible I felt bile swelling in my throat.
A patch of dirty snow was inches away and I tried to crawl towards it to try to ice my bleeding injuries.
That was when I felt leathery whips on my face and violent snags in my hair, pulling and snapping. My stomach lurched as again, I was yanked up into the night, higher into my own icy, black death. I tried desperately to grasp on to whatever had me, terrified to fall as we climbed higher.
The cold stung my raw shoulders and hips and I felt the blood freezing. The deep scrapes on my knees and face burned with the wind, feeling like icy razors scraping my cheekbones. My numb fingers found a thick, velvety limb- coarse hair bristling and slipping under my blood. Six daggers dug into my skull and neck. Even over the roar of the wind and the pounding of wings I could hear a horrible scraping and squeaking of claws on my skull- from the inside.
I struggled to breathe, blood and vomit filled my mouth and tears threatened to suffocate me. Suddenly the little air that I had in my lungs was forced out violently as my midsection was slammed into the highest beam on the moon tower, the crunching of my ribs was unmistakable. My vision and even my own thoughts darkened with what I can only describe as wetness. Later, I would be told that my ribs were so violently broken that they pierced my lung.
For a moment, the moon illuminated my nightmare. I was nauseatingly high up, one eye was swollen shut but I could see the frozen pond, dull and distant. Closer, I could see a row of houses- their windows glowing but cruelly out of reach. One house still had Christmas lights up, complete with a giant light-up plastic mold Santa Claus tied to their chimney. It felt wrong and cruel- a warm and happy impossibility. I looked down to see a stream of my blood pouring from my body in a steady flow, then broken by an aggressive gust of icy cold wind.I choked on a scream as I was grabbed again, talons stretching out the existing wounds on my shoulders- and birthing brand new ones on my lower back. I couldn’t hear my own screams over the wind and the angry, metallic shrieks like barbed wire on a rusted trampoline.
I remember at this point, I could see the pond shrinking south of me as once again my host struggled with it’s prey. Suddenly, we dropped right above the creek. My legs slammed into the fence surrounding the construction site. The crane looming over us, the two security floodlights at it’s base finally providing light.
The construction site was deep in the ground, a parking garage with a basement level built to be tornado proof.
I’ve heard countless times from other people with violent experiences, that they forget chunks of their trauma, or that they blacked out. I try not to seethe with jealousy. If I could forget any of it, I would want to forget what I saw under those garish, white construction lights.
I can remember every tiny, ice cold pebble digging into my skin. The shimmering bokeh on my tear-soaked lashes. The gritty, jagged pain of my pulverized rib bones. I remember the smell: a mix of cold sweat- like when our dad would come home after his jogs- diesel, and blood. There was another smell coming from the base of the crane- sickly sweet like almond extract gone bad.
Behind the crane was a trailer, the paneling was beige and a huge green tin sign had read “Argen Construction”. I thought for a moment that a phone might be inside. I pulled myself up onto my knees and looked around- it was difficult since my left eye was useless and my right one was full of tears and blood. My assailant was nowhere in sight- I thought maybe it had gotten injured or caught on the fence. Stupid. I know now that it simply was rousing it’s companion- because it was dinner time. I was an offering. Like when my cat Nala would bring me a dead robin. Here I was, with my wings ripped off.
I was halfway to the trailer, limping as fast as I could. Every step was excruciating, breathing was like pins and needles. Even with my sobbing hyperventilating- I heard it. I hear it now. I can always hear it. The two-toned whistle. Haunting and dreadful- like even if I hadn’t been at death’s door- that tone would still have shaken me. Like a doomsday alarm. Like useless sirens wailing as meteors crash into the boiling sea.
Under the whistle, a thick, wet breath. Echoing from beneath the base of the crane. A dark recess in the cold wet ground, with darkness somehow leaking from it. Darkness so black that only a staccatoed steam was visible- something was breathing.
I wish I could tell you that the construction unearthed something ethereal- a beautiful sleeping giant- an angel- a groundbreaking discovery.
But I don’t even think it was the construction. I just think she’s always been here. Maybe for years she had survived on squirrels, or deer. Maybe she thawed during a warm winter. Maybe she was left behind.
The first thing I saw was the tattered, jagged tips of wings, bat-like and narrow, dark-veined like bruised plum skin. Her pulse visibly pumping through veins that raised and ripped through her paper-thin skin stretching over her wings so tightly it seemed painful just to exist. Like she wasn’t finished yet, like she had been birthed from the earth prematurely and she was angry. Her hair was matted in clumps but where it was free it was long enough to drag along the ground, slimy and cold and full of dirt, leaves and dirty snow. Her scalp was suffering. I could see every follicle piercing her scalp, like diseased plant roots- bulbous and swollen. Open sores at her hairline showed what I can only stomach to explain as insect activity. Layers of sick, sheer skin being actively eaten away by miasis, forehead wrinkles deep and scarred into place. She had no eyebrows or lashes that I could see from my crouched hiding position. Her nose was just a cavity- like a Halloween skull- also swarming with parasites. When she breathed in- a flapping rippled down her face, and wetness dripped over her mouth.
Her mouth.
Years later, an art teacher had told me that while he enjoyed my monstrous horror drawings- that even special effects departments had boundaries and I would be unlikely to get hired if I didn’t tone it down or attempt to make them more realistic. If only he had known I was following his rule: draw what you know.
She had the familiar sagging of a toothless old woman, with flat, cracked, corpse-like lips. But then she parted them. The rot was dizzying. Her gums had been clawed away, scabs and scars in thick bands of roped grayish mauve flesh. Her top and bottom jaw bones were not simply bared- they were jagged, layered razors. Filed. But not with anything modern or sharp or clean. Time, madness and desperation had filed and shaped that nightmare maw. Makeshift teeth of rocks had been manically shoved under the skin- adhered with infection and growth. The entire left side of her face was worn through layer by layer, her tongue slipping in and out of what should have been her throat. Sharp, gaunt collarbones literally piercing through that tissue-like skin, dark rancid blood pooling in the deep recess of her collar. She had one misshapen breast, the left side of her chest was deeply scarred and textured- as though it had been burned. Her fingers were bones with jagged talons blackened at the tips. Thick scar tissue marred her shoulders where her wings took her from somewhat humanoid to monstrous. Scars everywhere. Rotting wounds dripped larvae and blood onto the frozen ground. I wish I could forget the momentary warmth I felt as urine poured down my legs- immediately freezing and burning- sticking my jeans to my razed bloody shins.
I tore myself away from staring at her to look for an escape. She had chosen her feeding place well. The deep recess of the site was the length of a football field- since that’s what the field had once been. High walls of frozen earth surrounded us on three sides, climbing up in my condition would have been impossible. There was a ramp at the far entrance but I wouldn’t have made it past her. Only behind me was the fence I had slammed into on the way in, the creek only a few yards from that- and then a row of backyards of houses that included Dominic’s. I had cried then. I cried thinking that only a few minutes away, my best friend was probably getting ready for bed. That he would always remember the night before he woke up to find out his best friend was dead. He had no idea that my blood was spilling all over the places we had run and played. He was warm, with his own mom just feet away. I sobbed then. Thinking of my own mother. It wasn’t the idea of her finding out too, or knowing I would never see her again- it was a guttural, instinctual painful need for her. It was like being too far underwater and being out of breath- kicking as fast as I can but knowing I wouldn’t make it. I needed her but wouldn’t make it to the surface- to her.
My sobbing had given me away. That horrible metallic sound reverberated around me and I remembered- I was being fed- she was feeding me to something. I had taken a deep breath, bracing myself for the pain; and made for the fence. Before my feet even hit the ground- her claws were in my neck. She flung me further from the trailer and onto the cement that had been poured a few warmer months ago. I gave up, I’ll be honest. I accepted that I was going to die. Then I had heard something unexpected- and sickening. Small, furtive movements. Unmistakable vocalizations. Even just from primal grunting and wet groans- I knew. I knew it was young, and I knew it was human.
I felt her toxic breath on me before I realized she had moved. She paused for a second, mapping the wounds she had inflicted- so that she could use them again as grips. That was when she dug in so tight into the openings on my shoulders that I could feel her nails were deep inside my muscles and even the tips of her actual fingers were deep inside the wounds. She flung me further across the cement- closer to the sickening furtive movement. I squeezed my eyes shut. I smelled rancid, organic decay- and the unmistakable odor of feces. I felt small, fluttering fingers on my neck. Small. Little.
Child-like.
I made the inevitable mistake of opening my eyes. I saw dirty blonde hair, tinged with green, draped across tiny feet. Human feet. Baby feet.
He was maybe three. Dirty and small. His fingernails were long and sharpened to a point. He smiled and thick mucus stretched across several blackened sharp teeth. He was missing some, but what remained were crooked, stained and diseased, stuck in purple rotten gums.
Instead of chubby rosy cheeks, he had hollow sunken grey skin. The bags under his eyes were purple and veined. Instead of bright, youthful eyes, there were haunted orbs, devoid of color. Faded milky irises deformed around dark soulless pupils. He wore what at one time had been pajamas. Under layers of blood and grime, little trains chugged across his small body in a pattern.
The sobs had returned from their hiding place in my chest. I had felt the need to comfort this small broken doll of a child. That’s when he lunged. His broken glass mouth sinking deep into my forearm. The pain was unbelievable, bright and loud like the headlights of a truck barreling down on you. I pulled away and heard a horrifying squelching sound as my forearm flesh ripped and hung from his tiny plump lips. I gagged as he hungrily shoved my skin into his mouth. He ran to the monster, clinging to her body, his stubby hands sinking into her rotting fruit skin.
I held my hand tightly against my forearm, watching the blood spill in tributaries between my fingers and join in a river down my arm, dripping down to the ground. It began to snow. Tiny delicate laceworks fell into and melted into the steaming pools of blood at my feet. A disgusting gurgling sound brought me back and I watched in horror as the little boy nursed from the nightmare’s surviving breast. Thick blood spilled from the sides of his mouth as she gently swept the hair from his face.
Years later, I would look up the missing childrens database online. I would narrow my search to my state, select the birth year, clumsily guess at the date missing. It would take me six days and two breakdowns- but I would find him- along with an inaccurate age-progression picture. His parents had named him Mason. He was a twin. He had a baby sister and a dog. He went missing from a family camping trip when he and his brother were one.
But I didn’t know any of that when I watched him wash down my flesh with bloody breast milk from a demon I hadn’t known existed a few hours earlier. Hours earlier I had been at a mall for Christ sake. The mall, with Charlie.
I guess remembering my brother’s body hanging limply across the steering column had jarred me into action. Knowing he wasn’t even a football field away from me got me moving. If I could get over the fence, I could make a beeline for Dominic’s backyard, I would just have to jump over the mostly frozen creek to get there. Then I could run to his parents’ window and have them call the police. I could see the yellow square in the dark that was the sliding glass door to their kitchen from where I was. If I ran through their house as a shortcut, I could run down their driveway and straight down my street to my house. My heart broke a little as I thought of my parents and my sister beginning to worry about us as we were only a block away fighting for our lives.
But if I got to the far end of the fence, before the incline up- I could get to Charlie- keep him safe, keep him warm and talking until the ambulance arrived. Surely somebody had called, the impact on the the cars was so loud- the other driver surely had a car phone or maybe a cell phone. Maybe even Yuki’s Akita puppy Mochi had heard and was barking up a storm. Maybe the police were already there.
For a moment, I thought of grabbing the boy, even if he bit me, I would carry him on my back and get him away from her, get him home to his family. But even as I stood there, I could barely hold myself up, the world had started to spin around me, blood thickly but steadily pooling in my shoes, my bra and at the top of my jeans.
A few feet from my right lay a rubble pile, not large but mainly chunks of rebar and concrete. I had barely made a few inches of progress towards it when her metallic screeching again assaulted my senses. My hands covering my ears, I shuffled towards the pile and grabbed a chunk of the rubble- a crude, misshapen and awkward hammer to wield against an impossible enemy. A rusted, twisted metal handle with a heavy and uneven weight of concrete, hard to hold and even harder to swing- but it was all I had- and I knew it only had to get to the weakest part of her. I only had to incapacitate her long enough to get within earshot of Dominic’s house- it couldn’t be much past 10 pm, someone would have to hear me.
I gripped my shoddy weapon tightly at my chest with both hands and felt her swoop down violently as I dove for a cement tunnel, her empty-handed dive throwing her balance off. I scrambled awkwardly towards the far end of the tunnel as I heard her raspy wings pulling her upwards before her second strike. Instead of waiting for her to cut me off at the tunnel, I ran as fast as I could, darting from the opening and towards the sickly-sweet smelling of her nest. The only thing between the fence and me was a blonde baby boy. Blood swirled in my mouth and a gritty, sharp feeling forced me to spit. I don’t know why the image of my tooth in my hand covered in blood triggered a response in me then but it did.
I knew I was dying. Not just that I was going to die- that this monster my parents had never imagined in their worst nightmares would take their daughter away forever and they would never even have her body to bury- but that I currently and actively was dying.
The damage to my ribs, lungs, spleen and arm would kill me if the blood loss or hypothermia didn’t do it first. I knew I was dying and it turned me into a monster too.
I ran, not straight for the fence, but for her nest, I could hear her above me, barreling down. I ran right towards that little boy and swung a twenty pound chunk of concrete down on his tiny hand, smashing it into the ground. The sound he made wakes me up at night to this day. His screams were animal-like and I dropped my weapon to cover my ears. The rusted metal screaming from the sky crashed down like a bomb and I ran. I didn’t look back. I ran to the fence and with all the strength I had left, I pulled myself up, shoving my foot into a diamond-shaped hole made by the chain-link. I had hopped a thousand fences this way in my life and to this day I am grateful I had the experience.
My bleeding hands found the freezing, horizontal pipe of the top of the fence and groaned in pain as I hefted myself over. All the fence hopping experience in the world wouldn’t have made climbing with shattered ribs and bleeding flanks any less impossible and I could only crash to the ground. Both ankles jarred into the frozen ground and my scream stuck in my throat, caught on blood and bile, escaping only as a choking sob.
Her violent, crazed screams were still on the ground as she tended to her baby. I didn’t let guilt slow me down, I ran as fast as I could for maybe six feet before my ankles gave out. Dominic’s house was all I could see, a tunnel of black closing in on my vision. I never looked back. I gripped my fingers into the frosty ground, pulling myself up. I hobbled, sprinting across the dark field. The night sky above me swirling with snow flurries. My busted, bloody fingers fumbling at my jacket zipper. I could see the flickering blue glow of late-night tv coming from Mr and Mrs Rossi’s bedroom. The tunnel grew smaller and I could see less and less.
Bawling, I forced my arms out of my jacket as I reached the bank of the creek. Dominic and I had spent summers of our childhood testing the width of the creek along its entirety and I knew that the bend behind his house was not jumpable. My toes slipped over the crest of land and razor sharp talons slashed at my hands. I screamed and screamed and swung my jacket into the writhing storm of limbs and wings above me, feeling solid impact on one of the swings. I let go of my jacket and flung myself across the frozen creek, landing with a foot left, my feet crushing through the glass-thin ice and my ankles crumpling beneath me. I could only see a pinhole I’m front of me- a flickering blue of tv light. I could hear her above me, driving down finally for the kill. Her metallic screams, and the deafening boom of Mr Rossi’s handgun, the one I never even knew he had.
He was standing on the back porch, one hand over his head, gun pointed to the sky. Mrs Rossi stood next to him, Dominic’s baseball bat in her hands. The last thing I saw was the golden, warm glow of the Rossi kitchen, and the pinhole closing as the world darkened around me.
I’ve read the statements Mr and Mrs Rossi gave to the police. That they heard what they thought were animal noises behind the house, but when they opened the back door, they heard human screaming as well. They saw a large, dark shape in the night but only for a second before they saw my body slumped over, my fingers barely making it to their property. They had called 911 and then my parents. The ambulance that brought my brother and the other driver to the hospital had only arrived thirty minutes before mine did. My dad had run to the Rossi house while my poor confused and frantic mother rode to the hospital with Cammie and our neighbor.
When my dad and I recently recalled the events of that night, I cried hearing the usually funny and goofy man choke up remembering seeing me slumped over Mrs Rossi like a rag doll, her white robe covered in my blood. He said that my face was so bruised and swollen that he thought an animal had mauled my face. He wasn’t exactly wrong. Mr Rossi had stood guard with the bat until the police and EMTs arrived.
Animal control didn’t press me too hard. In fact, the vaguer and foggier my memory was, the happier they seemed. I knew that if I told the truth, I would be locked up, medicated, or assumed to be a victim of something else. A monster woman from the sky. Before I even tried to say it out loud, I knew better and feigned memory loss. To this day the official story is two cars on Pondside were struck by a wild animal, and the passenger of one of the cars was attacked and dragged by the animal until a neighbor heard the commotion and fired a gun, scaring the animal off. While I was in the hospital, a handful of flowers, candles and teddy bears were left at the stop sign.
Charlie doesn’t remember anything. He says the last thing he can recall is running to the car in the parking lot and turning the heat on, before pulling the car around for me. I’m actually happy this is the last thing he remembers. I wonder if he’s telling the truth.
Cammie would come in my room at night for years. She would sit on the floor next to my bed, with her fuzzy Disney blanket draped over her shoulders. She knew the whole story from beginning to end- even about Mason- a detail I had kept from my parents. Cam and I would stay up together until the sun came up, our eyes locked on the window in my room, the one facing south. Some nights she would get in bed with me; both of us sitting with our backs against the wall, our shoulders resting on one another’s, both of us looking at the window, scanning every inch of the gray blue pitch fading to flint every morning- searching for a growing speck of black.
My parents- proud pacifists, had purchased a gun each, and a few years later they had Cammie and I in judo classes. But the best thing they did was believe me. Even that first night, after the first surgery, they had listened intently, never interrupting or telling me I was imagining things or lying. However, it was made it very clear that while our home was a safe space- we weren’t to talk about it outside it’s walls.
I know she’s still out there, I know Mason is too. Even after I moved away, my mom would send newspaper articles, first clippings in the mail, then eventually links in text messages as time went on. Police blotters about animal activity, missing dogs, unexplained accidents- and missing blonde boys. She took one every few years, from different areas, and I thought initially maybe she had killed or eaten Mason once he was too old. Until I saw them both one night. I had heard that whistle and didn’t even need to look up, but I did. But that’s a story for another time.

2022.08.23 23:26 SunnySkiez69 Being Strategic With Negative Workings

Hello all,
Not many people talk about the various methods one can use to formulate negative workings against your victim. I understand that everyone has their own methods that work for them and I appreciate that diversity. If you would like to give your input or methods in the comments I would be honored to read your response. We are all here to help eachother better understand negative workings.
To help better your understanding of one of my methods, I will create a fictional target and break down my thought process
Example victim: Let's say that my victim has a basic level of spiritual knowledge and understanding. They follow the moon cycle and have a decent crystal collection. The victim seems to have mostly rose quartz, clear quartz, and amethyst. They do not work with any entities because they are intimidated by that kind of practice. They often wear protective jewelry but have trouble remembering what the symbols mean. Every time you see them they usually have a positive attitude towards life but, like everyone else, they go through rough periods. In those periods of time they stay away from gatherings and crouds. They usually dress comfortably and wear crystals to uplift their mood (let's say they have a citrine bracelet paired with a quartz necklace that rests over their heart chakra). They live in a small house with a mutual friend (not romantic) of yours who understands both sides of the story and is a good friend to you. The friend hangs out with you one day and complains that their roommate (your target) always burns sage and leaves candles burning. They also have the elemental symbol of fire tattooed on them.
As you can tell, this hypothetical target tries to cover their bases.
A few things that I notice immediately: ●As a practitioner, we can see that the target works well with fire. They have a tattoo of the elemental symbol of fire, they burn sage, and they often leave candles burning. ●They have crystals and protective symbols (lets say a triquetra for funzies). Rose quartz, amethyst, clear quartz, and citrine. ●They live with a mutual friend who you hang out with. ●They isolate when they are not in a good headspace. ●They are intimidated (if not scared) of working with entities.
Right off the bat we have 5 valuable pieces of information that point towards their potential weaknesses and strengths. Now comes the formulating. There are many types of negative workings each powerful in their own way.
Some that I utilize are as followed: ●Attachments (spirits or thoughtforms attached to an item or person) ●Paracitic cords ●Curses/hexes (What I define as negative magic using spelling methods) ●Psychic attack ●Conjuration of negative spirits ●Jinxes
Note* curses and hexes are an umbrella term for a broad spectrum of negative intentions targeting a person. They have various time ranges and casting methods. They can range from serious things like death, infertility and disaster to more minor things like tripping on your shoe laces more than often or getting a flat tire.
Continuing focus on the target. We have observed their potential weaknesses and strengths. Now we have to pick out the best method. One thing to remember is that you should never underestimate your target. This particular target could be average to advanced in crystal work. Just something to keep in mind.
●Immediately, cursing/hexing is out of the question. It is my belief that if someone has cursed energy on them and they hang around others, that cursed energy can transfer. Personally, I don't care what someone did, I would never target a current friend. ●I also noticed the targets crystal collection and usage of the moon. Most likely, the target will charge their crystals if they follow the moon. Psychic attack focusing on nightmares would be challenged by an activated amethyst (it depends on the individual crystal, it couldn't hurt to try). The individuals clear quartz necklace or rose quartzes could prevent an attachment to the Heart chakra if used correctly. Citrine can help get rid of negative emotions, so trying to depress them could be difficult to some. ● They are hesitant to working with entities so you could conjure a spirit to go after them. However, they burn sage often which could harm a negative spirit. Personally, I wouldn't let that happen. I value the spirits that I conjure and would never put them in such a position. ● Attachments would be a nice option, but then again we have to remember the crystals. Some crystals just so happen to be good at getting rid of Attachments. However, this depends on the experience one has working with crystals. This particular individual would be fine to target with an attachment. I wouldn't create an attachment to an item, but I would directly target the victim. I wouldn't place it in their heart chakra (because of the clear quarts). Maybe not the third eye either (because of the amethyst which they could use regularly in meditation over the third eye). Instead, I would target their lower body or midsection because it is less protected. ●Lastly, we come to paracitic cords. To me there are 2 kinds, giving and taking energy. Honestly, the latter is easier. You can feed on an unprotected person's life-force energy with ease if that is what you desire. Giving energy can be more difficult because you have to put the energy into their aura.
☆So which method would I choose? Well, in this case I would choose the paracitic cord. It would only affect the target, they are not as protected against it as the other methods, and they may not even know about paracitic cords. However, if I were truly evil and selfish and did cast a curse I would target the victim while utilizing the element of water or earth.
I hope you enjoyed reading my post! Like I said previously, I would love to hear about your own casting methods if you are open to sharing.
I hope you all have an amazing week and for those of you starting back to school I wish you the very best in your educational pursuits.
