Also, anyone has ideas on how I can modify the function playAudio( ) as I feel strange that the loadAudio has to appear twice (The purpose of that is to make the playback to go back to time =0 after direct finished playing).
Thanks in advance!

2024.05.21 14:25 CelticBlueManGroup Help with two-tone color scheme

Help with two-tone color scheme
Hello all, been digging into my first batch of models which are a load of infantry and a few boxy, flat-paneled vehicles. The scheme I'm set on is a two-tone light gray (Russ grey or even lighter, for those that use Citadel paints) for cloth parts and a deep navy blue for the armor panels.
My question is I'm wondering if there's a better approach for mass painting infantry instead of the one I've come up with, mainly because a) the dark blue seems to take too many layers/too much time to cover up the white primer and b) using a contrast style speed paint is easy for the cloth bits but seems to slow the rest down. On top of that I've heard that contrast paints are bit of a crutch for new painters.
The recipe: 1) GW rattlecan prime white (great coverage, no complaints here) 2) contrast paint light blue gray over the cloth (AP SpeedPaint 2.0 runic grey) 3) deep navy blue over the armor panels (citadel kantor blue) 4) black bits, gun stocks, boots, etc 5) flesh tones, leather bits, metal bobs, etc 6) camo stripes, just quick slashes of white, green, brown
This all revolves around the prime color choice and whether or not to switch to a regular acrylic for the light blue cloth. I'm happy to keep trying test methods on individual models but it's been a bit and I'd love to be off and running with the whole regiment by now so figured I'd see what the sub thought as well. Tossed in a WIP pic for the fun of it. Thanks!

2024.05.20 23:21 SensitiveMany5038 Vinyl Variants so far for Buzz!

Vinyl Variants so far for Buzz!
Hi everyone,
I just thought it’d be cool to run down the different vinyl variants we have so far for niki’s upcoming 3rd album, Buzz. And give my opinions on them.
I’m pretty sure these are all of them but let me know if I missed out any and obviously this is all pre order products so only basing my opinions off of pictures.
  1. ❤️ First up is my personal favourite variant, the “Buzz red vinyl edition”. The red really goes well with the album cover and shade of red is perfect. The colour is so nice and even though it’s a monotone colour it just matches perfectly with the cover so I would genuinely rate this 10/10. I’m going to get this pressing!
  2. 🖤 Second is the “Ink/paint coloured vinyl”. It looks really cute I like the splatters of white paint over the black vinyl. I usually don’t like black vinyls in general though but I love the pop of colour but I wish there were more streaks. So I would rate this a 7/10.
  3. 🧟‍♂️ Third is the “Zombie Brain coloured”. It’s a very interesting name for a vinyl but I do like the red and grey streaks on the beige background and it looks really cool like the last vinyl I wish there were more streaks. Niki making a zombie brain vinyl makes me excited for what the album is going to be like!! Maybe a zombie themed song??! I’m not sure but I’d rate the vinyl an 8/10.
  4. 🩶 Fourth is the “Silver coloured vinyl”. I’m ngl this is a very boring vinyl to me. It’s nice but I don’t know why anyone would get it when there are a lot better variants. It’s very boring so I’d rate this a 4/10.
  5. 🪨 Last but not least is an urban outfitters exclusive called “Onyx coloured vinyl”. I actually really like this one a lot. The onyx colour is so mesmerising and the critique I had of vinyl 2 and 3 for not having enough streaks was nowhere to be found because this pressing looks chock full of colourful streaks. It looks really interesting and fun! I would rate this a 9/10. It would be my second choice if I didn’t like the red vinyl so much.
Thanks for reading through, please let me know all your opinions of the vinyls!!
PS don’t come at me for my opinions they are just my opinions you are allowed to have your own! Xx

Family fishing team logo
Hello, my brother father and I lost our mother, and we named our boat "Miss Chris" in memory of her.
The season is starting up and I want to make shirts for my family with an animated logo of the boat floating on water, with a fishing theme to it.
I am wondering if anyone can make a dramatic image of the boat, remove the docks etc and make an animated theme that would transfer nicely to a white or grey shirt.
The fourth picture is a great example from custom captain.
I am prepared to tip via Venmo a range of amounts based on the quality of the final product.

2024.05.20 19:02 Rozwellish What were they thinking?

Before I start, I just want to say that this post will mention things in the current patch so if you haven't played 2.2 and care about spoilers then don't read.
Anyway.
I get that acquiring Eidolons for the previous two versions of the Trailblazer may have been so easy it didn't bear thinking about, but getting enough tickets for the Clockie Statue to max it out has been quite the worst experience this game has offered.
After finishing my semester I decided I'll dedicate a little while to catching up on Penacony. I've been slacking on side quests, chests etc and knew that this entire process would take a while to get through, but I didn't anticipate it would be quite as gruelling as this.
First of all: the layout of Penacony is fun in the story, but absolutely horrible when it comes to finding missed chests. I don't have Topaz, so I pull up a guide and start working my way through every location. In Reverie (Dreamscape) there's a secret area you can only access through a mirror on 3F. The map only displays it as an L-shaped area disconnected from the rest of the zone, so I think it's some kind of fun treasure room with a lot of chests. It's not. It's another gravity room, and you better be thorough in there because getting back is just really annoying and inconvenient.
My displeasure didn't really begin until Dewlight Pavilion, though, where I spent two hours roaming around and retracing my steps on 26/27. On my travels I stumble into like two clockwork side quest things with 'Whisper' and end up in a fight, and then I fix a Dream Ticker only for it to be some Nihilist that doesn't give me anything and sets up something else. After following in the footsteps of a YouTube video I find that I was missing a chest in a secret area that I had to start a side quest to unlock, and it was hidden behind a wall in a Hanu section (which I hate because I don't enjoy stealth segments in any game).
I then go to the Theme Park looking to clear up the place and get the Origami Birds. There's one in an open area at the very top. Cool. I go there and stumble into the opening cutscene for Dreamjolt Memoir by proximity, which I didn't want to start yet, but decide on the spot to blast through it. It's mechanically irritating and I open up another guide to help me through. Eventually though I end up getting interested in the story revolving around Mimosa towards the end and lock in. The side quest directs me towards the Grand Stage area and I decide to grab the chests and birds in that area while I'm there to mark it off. I see a Hanu TV and sigh but begrudgingly enter. It won't let me. Something to do with current circumstances. So now I have to make a mental note that I've cleared the entire area except the Hanu part, because the Hanu icon doesn't disappear on the map when you've cleared everything out of them (or at least make them grey or something).
I then have to go to Dreamflux Reef. Cool. I'm only missing a Lordly Trashcan there and it's next to where I need to be. I go there, get more story on Mimosa and Micah, then like five steps later I get stuck in another cutscene where a gang fights me and then tries to recruit me like that cult in Yakuza 0 with the munancho sign. I eventually finish everything up, complete the limited time quest and move on to SoulGlad Audition Stage.
This is the area that has prompted me to make this post and I haven't cleared it yet.
I pull up a guide and see that the two Lordly Trashcans should be in the area I'm in, except they're not. Unbeknownst to me—and unexplained in the guide—is that they require a secret Code before transporting to that zone. A code that you can input at any time, but will only be functioning after accepting a side quest. So after a while of faffing about and thinking I'm doing it wrong I take the side quest and now I'm stuck in an entire new segment with Firefly (who I love very dearly, but now's not the time). I do the secret code and I'm in an area that isn't reflected by the guide at all. I get stuck in more of those trials from NPCs and make it to the second zone which is where I am now.
To my left is a Dream Ticker that was actually quite challenging and exactly the opposite of what I needed right now. I finish the jigsaw and a huge Clockie disperses some parts I need to go pick up. I follow the icon and reach a 'Dream's Eye' puzzle pylon and that's where I'm at right now: looking down at a new puzzle area that I don't want to do, already feeling like I've fucked up getting the Trashcans, in an area that I can't see at all on the guide I'm using, and am just COMPLETELY overwhelmed by the endless barrage of bullshit and hurdles and unfriendly map design that feels like they're just there to be a nuisance.
I get that they wanted to encourage exploration and a sense of 'wonder' in Penacony but I just think there's way, way too much going on at once. If it isn't a chest it's a bird, if it isn't a bird it's a sticker, if it isn't a sticker it's an unwanted side quest cutscene, or locked door, or locked Hanu TV, or 'collect the jigsaw pieces in this area'. Absolutely everything has overstayed it's welcome in this exploration and it's something everyone who wants E6 HTB has to go through.

Race Information

Goals

Goal Description Completed?
A New PR Yes

2 Full ....

Intro

Hello running, it's been a while since I (M,38) posted my last report! 3+ years since my last marathon (3.16) that was in Dubai during covid and was self supported. Lots has changed since then... I now live with my family in Australia and yesterday I tackled the Great Ocean Road Marathon, my 5th marathon.

Training

Note for readers: paces are in min/km.
I started targeting a marathon after doing my first half Ironman (HIM) in November 2023. I was a bit upset with my triathlon run time (1.45) so 2 weeks after the HIM I ran a 1.28 half marathon (self supported). This was a 3minute pr and it sparked my desire to run another full marathon. I first tried to enter Melbourne Marathon but it was sold out so I searched for other local races and found the Great Ocean road Marathon. I signed up without wasting any time as all these events sell out before you know it. I told my brother about it that lives in Europe and is also a runner and funnily he was reading the lonely planet guide for the best marathons in the world, and this one was on the list! I had about 6 months to get into marathon shape but with Christmas in between and a big vacation to Vietnam planned in January I really started following the plan from early Feb. My race plan is based on Pfitzinger's advanced marathon training (70km average weekly volume, peaking at 90km) but I followed it loosely as I was swapping 1 run per week for a bike session and had a few longer than usual long runs!
The body was feeling good up to mid March. I knew about the course being hilly so I did most of my runs on the hills near the city (Yarra bend park). Unfortunately on one of the long runs I pushed the downhills too hard and my IT band flared up. I had suffered from IT band pain several years ago so I knew there was something wrong and decided to stop training for a few days. On the Tuesday the knee was still hurting despite rest and meds so I booked an appointment with a physio. Fearing for the worst I thought I had to cancel the race. She confirmed that the problem was with the IT band however wasn't concerned for the marathon. With 2 months left there was plenty of time to keep fit and strengthen the muscles. The physio gave me weekly plans of run/walks, hill reps (walking back), cadence exercises and strengthening exercises. The rehab went fairly well and 1000s of 1 leg squats later I would be ready for the race. In hindsight I think the IT band issue was a blessing in disguise as I did a lot of strengthening work that I had never done before.
In April I also casually met a group of runners that run around a track near my apartment on Tuesday mornings. The workout is the same each week. 6x1000 with 90s standing rest. Getting speed work done regularly with a group is great. You manage to push your pace so much more when everyone around you is faster. Track Tuesdays became a regular appointment and the workout I was most looking forward too all week. I'd do reps in the 3.20/3.30 range. One week I decided to push one rep at max effort to see if I could stick with the front pack and PR 'd my 1km time (3.05).
PR'ing has been a common theme for me in the last 2 months! I brought down my 1km, 5km (18.30) 10km (37.50) times and also came 1st in my age group and 7th overall at my local Parkrun (900+ participants).
By the end of April I was fully healed from the IT band issues and managed to run up to 39km as my longest run completely pain free. Taper time! I'm not a fan of the taper as for some reason all sorts of pains pop out randomly for a few days and then disappear. I read these are called phantom pains and I've accepted them now as they always pop up during the taper and disappear on race day. In any case the 2 weeks went by quickly and it was finally race weekend!

Race

Saturday morning we did our weekly 5km family run with my wife, older son on his bike and little one in the running stroller. Then we drove down to Lorne where some friends were waiting for us at their place. After a great meal and a decent 6 hour sleep I woke up at 4am. I waited till 6 to have breakfast and then at 7 walked down to the race village. At 7.30 I did my 10min warmup jog, stretched, took a few pics with the family near the ocean and then headed to the starting line. The weather was great at the start around 10C (50F) and not much wind.
I knew I had enough fitness to beat my previous PR of 3:16 so I set a more ambitious goal: Run the marathon in under 3:08. This is my dad's marathon PR from 30 years ago! He transmitted his passion for long distance running to me and I always considered that time to be the ultimate challenge. As the route is hilly with about 500m of positive elevation and I saw the forecast being windy with headwinds up to 30kph (20MPH) picking up towards the second half I decided to start the first km with the 4.30 pace group but then speed up the first half and take advantage of the better weather and slow down the second half. I know, I know, theory says to run equal splits...
I passed the half marathon in 1:29 a bit faster than planned but still plenty of energy and a great mood. Running up hill wasn't too bad and running down was fealing great. I had a good group of runners around me and we'd take turns leading the pack to shield the wind for others. In a race where there is almost no one chearing for you for 44km this was a great way to keep the spirits up. There are 3 main hills, Mt. Defiance at the 7km mark, then the hill after Kennet river at 22km and Cape Patton after Grey river at approx 26km. This one is the hardest in my opinion. Not too steep but long. When you think it's over and it flattens out, you turn the corner expecting to go down, instead it climbs a bit further. I finally arrived at the top passing the 28km mark in 2 hours... and here, mother nature decided to turn the challenge up a notch! The group had thinned out by now so I was on my own. Rain started pouring and the headwind started blowing hard. From this point I slowed down to a 4.45 pace doing math in my head calculating my finish time still under 3:08.
Gel after gel, km after km the finish line was getting closer. Rain would come and go, wind was always there.
37&38 -5min pace need to speed up
39- 4.45 going well, hang on
41- 5 minutes time to push the last km
42- 4.30, last 195m

Marathon! 3.06.42!

New PR, goal achieved, huge smile on my face... Still 2+ km to go for the finish line... Yep because this mara is actually a 44.6km race!
I decided to walk the last 2km as my goal was the marathon and I really left everything I had on the last km. In hindsight this was a bad decision. I should've jogged to the finish line as I got really cold and stiff walking and all sorts of pains in the hips and legs popped out. Looking at the results I crossed the Marathon as 51st and I crossed the finish line as 125th out of a field of approx. 1600 runners. In any case I did a little run to get some nice pics at the finish line in Apollo Bay in 3.29.59 and a team of friendly kids handed out my medal!
What an amazing race! I loved the challenge, loved the training, loved the weather, loved the views and camaraderie between runners. I think my next goal will be a BQ (3:05) or maybe if the stars align a sub 3!
In the next months I have a few half marathons coming up where I'll aim for a 1.25 and the HIM in November.
Happy running everyone, and thank you for reading my report. If you've endured my poor English you can endure a marathon for sure!

2024.05.20 11:07 the_thanekar Grand Central Park - A Comprehensive Review

Introduction:

Inspired by internationally acclaimed green spaces, the NaMo Grand Central Park, spread across 20 acres, is a gift of greens to Thane amidst the greys of concrete. One of the most well-planned natural spaces, the aim of NaMoGCP is to motivate you to – take deep breaths, listen to the music of birds & water, capture 50 shades of flashy butterflies, play & laugh together.

Base details:

Website: https://www.namograndcentralpark.com/
Location: Kalptaru Parkcity, Grand Central Park, Kolshet Rd, Kolshet Industrial Area, Thane West, Thane, Maharashtra 400607
Location Plus Code: 6XGQ+WF Thane, Maharashtra
Thane City's Grand Central Park, also known as Namo Grand Central Park, is a relatively new urban oasis inaugurated in February 2024. Sprawling over 20 acres, it's the state's first central park concept and boasts over 4,500 trees. Located in the Kolshet area, the park features a 3-acre lake, creating a cool microclimate and a haven for nature lovers amidst the city. This park serves as a significant green lung for Thane, offering a place for recreation, relaxation, and connecting with nature.
Designed by international landscape architects, the park caters to all ages. There's a walking trail, a viewing deck overlooking the lake, and an amphitheater for potential future events. With its focus on native plants and attracting wildlife, the Grand Central Park is a significant step towards a more sustainable and vibrant Thane.

Accessibility:

Ease of Access: 4/10
Public Transportation Options: 6/10
Parking Facilities: 5/10

Amenities: 6/10

Safety and Cleanliness: 7/10

The park is generally clean, thanks to the authorities' hard work, but large crowds still leave noticeable litter, especially used/torn tickets and other waste. Bins overflow quickly and are sometimes poorly placed. Adding more bins in high-traffic areas and educating visitors about waste disposal could help. On a positive note, guards and cleaning services maintain water quality and manage the larger messes, though they seem stretched thin due to the high volume of visitors.

Natural Beauty and Maintenance: 8/10

Grand Central Park impresses with its diverse flora (over 4,500 trees!) and birdlife (generally only in the mornings). However, proper maintenance of the green spaces, water bodies, and infrastructure and responsible waste management is extremely necessary to ensure that the park and its infra survives in the long term.

Community and Vibe (IMO): 5/10

Overall Experience: 6/10

My visits to Grand Central Park were a mix of positives and negatives.
The park's design and natural beauty are impressive, with diverse flora and well-maintained green spaces. However, the extremely large crowds, especially on weekends, detract from the experience. Accessibility could be improved, particularly with better signage and more efficient entry systems. The amenities need better maintenance and distribution, especially seating and water fountains.
The park is ideal for families with young kids, offering numerous play areas and open spaces, but not the best choice for couples, older families or young adults seeking quiet or privacy. The cleanliness is commendable given the volume of visitors, though more bins and waste management education are needed.
Overall, it's a pleasant place to visit if you can handle the crowds and are primarily looking for a family-friendly environment. I would recommend visiting during off-peak hours for a more relaxed experience.

Charms Mini Pops - the perfect bite-sized treat! I was instantly drawn to the assortment of miniature lollipops, each bursting with sweet and fruity flavors. These tiny pops are perfect for snacking on the go or sharing with friends. With 75 of them in each bag, you'll never run out of these charming candies.
Though advertised as "mini blow pops, " they didn't have gum inside, which was a little disappointing. But the lollipops were still delicious and came in a variety of flavors, making up for that. They're also gluten and peanut-free, which is a great bonus for those with allergies.
The packaging was appealing, and the fact that these little treats are convenient to carry along wherever you go adds to their charm. I highly recommend these for kids' birthday parties or Halloween celebrations. They make a fun and delicious addition to any occasion!

🔗Gluten-Free Mini Pops Suckers (Tropical Mix) - 35 Pops, Peanut & Gluten Free

https://preview.redd.it/ivn97o8iui1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=347f958373cbefb8b9c08100a5dc16299b7ca79b
I've been using these Charms Mini Pops Suckers for a while now, and I must say, they're quite the treat! This Tropical Mix pack contains 35 individual, colorful pops in a variety of flavors. The best part is that they're gluten and peanut-free, making them perfect for sharing with friends and family.
One thing that stands out is the convenience of having each pop individually wrapped. It makes it easy to grab and go, whether for a quick snack or to hand out to kids. The flavors are a fun mix of tropical goodness, including flavors like Mango Madness and Kiwi Cooler.
However, there's one thing I wish was different: the packaging. The bag is a bit on the small side, and I'd love to see a larger option. But overall, the Charms Mini Pops Suckers are a delightful, colorful, and convenient treat to enjoy.

🔗Charms Mini Pop Assortment - Gluten-Free and Kosher Dairy Lollipops

As a lollipop lover and frequent candy consumer, I had the chance to try out the Fun Express Charms Mini Pops 300 ct. I was immediately drawn in by the cute packaging and the promise of 12 fruity flavors.
These little pops were the perfect size for both kids and adults, and they truly offered a variety of flavors. When I first took a bite, I was pleasantly surprised by how sweet yet dairy-free they were. It's always great to see a gluten-free and kosher product that everyone can enjoy at events and parties.
However, one downside I encountered was the inconsistent stick length. While some of them were sturdy enough to enjoy, others were so short that I couldn't hold on to them without them falling apart. This made the experience a little frustrating, especially when handing them out to friends.
Overall, the Fun Express Charms Mini Pops 300 ct provided a colorful, fun, and flavorful experience. They were great for Halloween treats, a sweet reward after completing homework, and a delightful addition to any party or event. Just remember to inspect the sticks carefully before enjoying them!

🔗Charms Valentine Lollipop Exchange Kit - 30 Count

https://preview.redd.it/yv0vm8viui1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b31afd3485e6059e2e12f66c0c78a7d097ae96df
As a reviewer, I've found Charms Valentine Pops to be a delightful addition to my Valentine's Day festivities. The lollipops are beautifully designed and their bright, vibrant colors add a touch of playfulness to any celebration. The flavors are absolutely amazing, and my personal favorites were Rainbow Sherbet and Strawberry Lemonade. The box contains approximately 30 individually wrapped pops, which is perfect for sharing with friends and family.
One of the things I appreciate most about Charms Valentine Pops is that they are gluten-free and peanut-free, making them a great option for everyone in my circle. However, I have noticed that the packaging is a bit flimsy, so it's essential to handle the lollipops carefully to avoid any breakage. Another small drawback is that the pops aren't as big as other lollipops on the market, but this quirk is easily overlooked when you consider their delicious taste and charming appearance.
Overall, Charms Valentine Pops have become a staple in my Valentine's Day celebrations, and I highly recommend giving them a try. They may be a small treat, but they are sure to leave a big impression.

🔗Charms Assorted Lollipops - Birthday Styled Gift

Charms Blow Pops are an assorted mix of lollipops, including Sour Apple, Watermelon, Cherry, Grape, and Strawberry, totaling 2 pounds. I've been using these in my daily life to add a touch of sweetness to my day. The packaging is thoughtful, with each item coming with a small refrigerator magnet featuring the Emporium Candy logo.
One standout feature of the Emporium Candy Charms Blow Pops is their variety. They never disappoint with the flavors and their ability to satisfy various cravings. As much as I enjoy the assorted mix, the Sour Apple and Watermelon flavors have truly stood out to me. However, I did notice a minor downside - these lollipops contain soy, milk, peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, wheat, and other allergens, so they might not be suitable for everyone.
In conclusion, although there are certain limitations due to allergen content, I highly recommend Charms Blow Pops for their delightful assortment of flavors and the fact that you can buy them in bulk to get more value for your money.

🔗Charms Vanilla Sprinkles Lollipops: Gluten-Free and Peanut-Free Fun for All Occasions

These Charms Sprinkles Lollipops are a delightful fusion of flavor and excitement. The irresistible vanilla taste is covered in festive sprinkles, making every lollipop a party in your mouth.

I recently had the opportunity to try the 100 pack of Charms Sweet Pops lollipops, and let me tell you, they brought back a nostalgic wave of childhood memories. These suckers reminded me of the classic flat shape, unlike many of the round ones I've seen lately. I loved being able to have six assorted fruity flavors all in one box. My personal favorite was the blue razzberry, but I also enjoyed the cherry, grape, orange, strawberry, and watermelon flavors.
One thing that stood out to me was the texture of the lollipops. While they were initially fun to chew on, I found that they became quite hard after some time, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, the flavor balance was not entirely consistent, with some lollipops tasting predominantly sweet with little to no sourness. The visual appeal, however, was on point, with the vibrant colors and fun packaging.
Overall, my experience with the Charms Sweet Pops lollipops was a mix of nostalgia, fun, and some minor disappointments. While they didn't last as long as I would have liked due to their texture, they were still enjoyable and brought back a flood of positive childhood memories.

They make a wonderful addition to candy dishes, themed parties, or baby showers, where they can spark conversations and bring joy to all who partake. Overall, Charms Cherry Blow-Pops Lollipops deliver an irresistible combination of taste and nostalgia, making them a fantastic addition to any gathering or daily routine.

🔗Assorted Flavor Gluten Free Charms Mini Pops Lollipops - Ideal Party Favors and Snacks (18 oz, 101 Individual Poppers)

As a lover of all things sweet, I was excited to try Charms Mini Pops Assorted Flavor Candy Lollipops. With 101 round lollipop candies in assorted flavors, I couldn't wait to taste the rainbow. The gluten-free aspect made it a worry-free treat to enjoy, perfect for any party or celebration.
What stood out to me was the mini size of the lollipops. Their small 1.5-inch diameter made them easy to handle and share without fear of them falling apart. The resealable bag was also a great feature, ensuring my lollipops stayed fresh and ready for the next sweet moment.
However, I did notice that with a larger bag, the lollipops tended to stick together, making it a bit tricky to individually remove them. Nonetheless, this didn't deter me from enjoying the various flavors and sharing them with my friends and family.

🔗Charms Mini Pops: Indulge in 101 Mini Lollipops for Every Snack Time

https://preview.redd.it/jqrqio5lui1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ca85cbdfc240a19ac9e7757f5aeb6fa16186bbba
These Charms Mini Pops are like a charming little party in my mouth! I've been using them in my daily life as a quick snack, but also, they've been a hit with my friends during parties. These mini lollipops are just the right size for your pocket or backpack, and they come in a whopping 101 count bag.
The assortment of 18 flavors is honestly the cherry on top of these cute little pops. The grape, cherry, and lemon ones are my personal favorites. Each flavor just bursts with fun and excitement. It's like a surprise in every lollipop!
One of the things that stands out the most is having individual wrappers for each lollipop. It just adds that extra touch of thoughtfulness. Plus, it makes for a super cute party favor. My kiddo has been having a blast taking them to school!
However, there's one thing I wish was better - the price. It seems a bit too high for the quantity, but I do understand that they've got to pay for the convenience and packaging.
But overall, I am thoroughly impressed by these Charms Mini Pops. They've been a delightful addition to my daily routine. So, if you're looking for a fun and yummy treat to add to your stash, these are just the pops for you!

🔗Charms Blow Pops: Grape and Bubble Gum Lollipops for a Sour Challenge

I recently tried the Charms Blow Pops 2 lb bag, and let me tell you, they were a fun surprise. These lollipops are not just ordinary treats; when you think the fun is over, they deliver a delightful bubble gum center, making them a real double-action delight.
One of the best things about this Charms Lollipops assortment is that it includes a variety of popular flavors like cherries, sour apples, grapes, watermelons, and even strawberries. Although the flavor assortment may vary, the experience is consistently enjoyable.
For anyone looking to make their party or gathering more festive, these lollipops are a great choice. They arrive individually wrapped, making them perfect for party favors, candy treats, or even as stocking stuffers for the holiday season.
However, be prepared for the fact that since they come in a 2 lb bag, you might end up with some lollipops you're not as fond of. Despite this minor drawback, the overall experience with this Charms Lollipops assortment was enjoyable, and I would definitely recommend it for those who love candy and a touch of fun in their lives.

Charms sweet and sour pops are a nostalgic treat that takes me back to my childhood. These yin and yang lollipops come in an assortment of cool flavors, each featuring a sweet and a sour side. The multi-colored lollipops are big and full of flavor, perfect for satisfying both cravings at once.

The pops were shipped quickly and arrived in good condition. I would definitely recommend Charms sweet and sour pops to anyone looking for a fun and tasty treat.

2024.05.19 22:36 dutchman195 2k Budget Gaming PC

**What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.**
Primary Gaming PC, Microsoft Flight Sim, EFT, Helldivers, GreyZone Warefare, Secondary School and office use Word/Excel etc
**What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes?**
MAX 2000 - But I like the 1800 range alot better
*When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy.
In the next two weeks
What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? (ToweOS/monitokeyboard/mouse/etc\)
Tower and OS

Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location?
Arizona - I can maybe ask a family member to get to a microcenter for me and mail stuff to me

If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated.
No

Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU?
No

Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc)
No

Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-towefull-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components?
No preference, obviously want it to look cool but spending extra money for it isnt needed.

Do you need a copy of Windows included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference?
Yes, Windows, No Perference

Extra:
Here is what I came up with on my own. 7800x3d seems to be THE CPU to get. I'm reading the liquid cooler isnt necessary but I do think it looks neat in the case - same with the flashy RGB ram. More than open to trading that out to put the funds into a different component/better quality.

2024.05.19 22:22 PrincipleOtherwise70 [Hershey Park] Trip Report (5/18)

[Hershey Park] Trip Report (5/18)
[Hershey Park] Trip Report 5/18
Hello everyone! So as I discussed in my last trip report l, a good friend came up to visit me in VA to experience some new theme parks they had never done. Day 1 (Friday) was Kings Dominion and Busch Gardens in ONE day the link to that report is here:
https://www.reddit.com/rollercoasters/s/knR1swL1yQ
Day 2 (Saturday) was a trip to Hershey park! This is a 3.5-4 hour drive that is well worth it. I went to Hershey last year for the first time and was blown away by how much I enjoyed it so I was exited to go back and also excited to guide my friend as they experienced the park. So going into the trip I already anticipated that there would be some rain for a portion of the just by checking the weather repeatedly. This did not deter us from going as I didn’t see any indications of a major thunderstorm. But we knew to dress accordingly bringing pants and rain jackets. I initially figured the rain would help with crowds so we wouldn’t need to purchase fast passes. Park opened at 11, but we went arrive till noon. As we’re driving into Pennsylvania the rain was coming down moderately nothing too crazy. I checked the app to see some wait times and I was kind of stunned. 105 minute waits, 90 minute waits, 75 minute waits for pretty much all the major coasters that were open. I knew then and there we would have to purchase fast pass so we did do that 100 bucks a piece before even getting in to the park. I was a little disappointed to see that storm runner and skyrush were both showing closed on the app, but I attributed that to the rain and had fingered cross that they both would be running a little later (spoiler I was correct they did open).
Slight side note, this is the 2nd time I’ve had to purchase fast passes here. I believe last year I went on a Saturday as well and it was REALLY busy. So for anyone who has to travel to this park, if you are going on a Saturday I would strongly recommend getting the fast pass even if it’s saying it will rain. They have 2 options the regular fast pass which lets you skip the line once per ride and then unlimited one which gives you unlimited skips. Each time I’ve just done the one and it’s been enough for me, but I wouldn’t mind getting the upgraded version In the future to get more re-rides on certain things (more on that later)
Anyways we get to the park around noon and I see a kiosk before you go in the park where it can automatically print out your fast pass wrist bands. LOVE this kiosk really great idea. Last year I had to go in the park to a building to get this and while it wasn’t an issue, your momentum is interrupted by having to take care of your entrance ticket and then having to go in the park and take care of the fast pass at another location. So here are the rides we did in order.
Candymonium: this ride always has a huge line right at open and no surprise it was 90 minutes. But with fast pass we skipped all that which was great. What wasn’t great were the operations. The ride attendant controlling the dispatches was holding the gates for a ridiculous amount of time. They were running 2 trains, but The train behind was stacking every time while the train in the station was empty and not loaded at all because the gates were closed. I wasn’t sure if he was new or what, but that is not how to load and unload trains idc what park you’re at. Anyways we do front row which was a first for me since I did back row last year. I really like Candymonion (CM) it’s a fun hyper that is incredible smooth. Good airtime moments on all the hills. It’s not an intense ride at all, but just a really fun ride to start the day.
Skyrush: I saw Skyrush send a test train right when we exited CM and was so excited so we darted there. I was ready to try out the new trains. The older trains were verrry tight on the thighs, but it was still a crazy wild ride so I was excited to see how this would turn out with new trains. They were only doing one train ops the whole day for Skyrush but this didn’t matter for us because we had the fast pass so we got on the back row rather quickly. I did a wing seat same as I did last time. Skyrush was and still is very intense especially when compared to CM. The new restraints are very comfortable and I wasn’t stapled in the station but the G forces did push the restraints further down almost immediately at the pull out of the first drop. Even still…the ejector airtime is just crazy on this ride. The kink in the drop is quirky as always and noticeable pop of ejector at that moment. The camel back I was flying out the seat even with the restraint having moved in a little. The laterals were good too but not overly crazy. A good flinging out the seat moment occurred on one of the direction change transitions but interestingly that same moment felt wilder the last time I ride it. The ride is ‘smooth’, but not say glass smooth like CM you can feel a little rattle in some portions. I dont think it detracts from the ride at all though. & Either way still a great ride. I wish I did another ride on this. Both of my visits I only did it once. I enjoy it every time but I just keep feeling like I need to do it again to get a good feel for the experience.
Great bear: I liked Great bear last year, but this year it really stood out to me as a star of an attraction. I’m not sure what it was. It was running wonderfully. Very smooth. Back car is just fantastic for this ride getting pulled down the drop (and talk about a drop that is the most interesting B&M first drop). Great positives but not overly headache or grey out inducing positives. All the rolls had a really good balance of snap and gracefulness to them. I enjoyed this ride so much it may beat out Carowinds afterburn as my #2 in my ranking of best inverts I’ve done. I will need to re-ride afterburn again to fully make that claim but this ride was seriously phenomenal. (Definitely prefer this over Alpengeist which has a trim that nerds the 2nd half of that layout really bad)
Storm runner: I saw storm runner running with guests while in the queue for Skyrush so I was exited. But as we were walking to storm runner the rain had picked up a little again and I didn’t see any more trains running I was getting nervous. Once I get there I see people in the station but no one in the trains. I asked and an attendent said the ride was down currently for weather. I was bummed but I figured the raid would peter out again and we’d revisit. Instead we did:
Jolly Rancher Remix (boomerang): this one was still operating in the weather conditions at that time so we used our flash pass to skip a long line and get right on. I skipped this one last time as I didn’t really care about boomerangs so this was a new credit for me. I was VERY impressed. It was really fun. Good comfortable restraints. And the tunnel with the fog was such a nice touch. It was a little disorienting going backward which was great. I will definitely be riding this each visit. The boomerangs aren’t super tall but in the back car on the way up at that angled slope it feels really tall. Nice visual effect.
After this we had an intermission since it was raining anyway we had a reservation at the chocolatier restaurant so we headed there next. I did this restaurant last time and it was alright, but since I had other people with me who hadn’t experienced it I figured why not. The ambience is still super nice with this place as it was last time. I got an 18 dollar cookies and cream milkshake which is pricey but it was gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous and delicious! I ordered the salmon and I was a bit disappointed with this choice and wished I had just gotten a burger. The salmon wasn’t horrible but they sprinkled some heath nuts (?) on top and it really didn’t taste like heath at all just nuts. I scraped them off as I didn’t like that flavor or texture combination. All In all after 2 visits to this restaurant I guess I could visit again, but honestly I would like to see or try something else for dining in the park (suggestions welcome). Again it’s a pretty restaurant with a nice ambience but it’s pricey and each time I’m not leaving 100% satisfied so ehh?
Anyways it stopped raining by the time we left the restaurant and I was seeing trains for some major coasters being tested so we bee line it to:
Storm runner (PT 2): this time it was open. Storm runner was THE highlight attraction for me last year so I could not wait to ride it again. And it did not disappoint. This is a gem of an attraction that I just can’t get enough of. 30 seconds of pure adrenaline and the heart beat audio playing in the station every so often was just fantastic. This was my friends first ever hydraulic launch so I was excited for them to experience it. And this launch is just simply one of the best I’ve ever been on and I’ve done. It’s a gut punch in the best way how powerful this acceleration is. Super unfortunate that they are a maintenance nightmare for parks and Intamin is no longer doing this model type because these launches can’t be beat by even the best Intamin LSM. So I do recommend people who haven’t done one to try storm runner. What I love about this ride is that even after the top hat it’s not over they incorporated such an action packed layout and that flying snake dive element is world class.
I rode in the back the first time but we ended up circling back towards the end of the day there was pretty much no one in line so we got two more rides in the front. While you can’t go wrong In any row This is a front row ride it just blew me away once again. I hope they continue to maintain this rare kind of coaster because it is again a gem.
Farenheight: next we did this. Line was a little long but with fast pass we were in in no time. Rode in the back car and it was super fun! Lot of positive Gs on the first couple valleys. It had a great ejector bunny hill towards the end and a great head chopper moment as well. All In all I really like Farenheight. I think I prefer their take on the vertical lift model as opposed to Gerstlauer but from a cost perspective I can see why parks would go for a Gerstlauer.
Wildcats Revenge: last year when I rode this I ofc enjoyed it because..hello RMC. But there were some critiques u had about some questionable lateral forces on some unbanked sections that weren’t super comfortable. The line was long ofc but with fast pass we cut right In front of all the lines. I rode again in the back. But I noticed I wasn’t nearly as stapled in the restraint as I was last time. I think I had the restraint kind of around the minimum position where the sensor would ‘approve’ and show up green on the monitor maybe a little bit lower down. The attendant didn’t try and staple me either (I try to prop one of my legs up to help with this) and I must say my experience was sublime. Not being pinned down I was gettting LAUNCHED out the seat each element very powerful ejector. I had a similar experience to Great Bear where I really appreciated this layout the second visit around. It was fantastic. I thought it was a clear step below Twisted Timbers before but not its right up there with that one maybe even higher with this sublime experience (I have iron gwazi and Arie Force as # 1 and 2 for RMC).
Laff Trak: another new credit. The fast pass did nothing for us wait time wise. The queue inside with the mirrors had no air ventilation or AC going. It was very muggy and uncomfortable in there. Hershey will need to do something about that. As it warms up people could get really sick or have a heat stroke in there. One of the people in my party walked out the line because they were feeling sick. Anyways I braved the hot queue and eventually rode I was pleasantly surprised. The indoor neon light in the dark cutouts looked AMAZING. Seriously stunning. The ride itself is fun with a nice drop. The rest of the layout leaves some to be desired. Would have liked to see something a little more wild actually. The seats didn’t spin that that much either so that was kind of a disappointment but the theming inside the attraction was the standout part for me.
Comet: last ride of the day was comet. In hindsight I wish I had gone to Skyrush but my friend was trying to get a new credit so I was supporting them. Comet is a fun classic wooden coaster that looks great with the classic wooden coaster strobe lights that were on in full effect. It’s my understanding they got new trains for the ride? I noticed they looked very clean and polished. The ride itself is a fun little wood coaster that doesn’t offer a whole lot in terms of thrills for me but I can still appreciate it.
We ended the day in that huge merch shop attached to the chocolatier restaurant and did some shopping in Hershey world for candy we don’t need haha. They have great merch at Hershey park I will say.
TLDR: had a fabulous trip to Hershey park despite some rain we were able to get on most of the major coasters. Highly recommend.

2024.05.19 21:57 UhOhSwaghettios Need a 4k Video Editing Machine for <$2,000 USD

  1. **What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.**
  2. * Downloading video and photo files from SD cards via USB. 4k video editing and color correcting video in Adobe Premiere Pro and Davinci Resolve. Also gaming - Grey Zone Warfare, Diablo 4, Elden Ring. Would love to game in 4k, but not a necessity.
  3. **What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes?**
  4. * $2,000 USD
  5. **When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy.**
  6. * ASAP, next week or two.
  7. **What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? (ToweOS/monitokeyboard/mouse/etc\)**
  8. * Tower and OS (Windows), no peripherals needed.
  9. **Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location?**
  10. * South Carolina, United States - Micro Center in Charlotte delayed opening (◔\_◔). So the answer is...maybe. If it would be better to wait until it opens, I can (probably) do that.
  11. **If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated.**
  12. * 2x 8GB Crucial Ballistix DDR4-3200 (1600 MHz) RGB sticks could be reused. If it's even worth it.
  13. **Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU?**
  14. * GPU probably.
  15. **Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc)**
  16. * A large SSD would be helpful for short-term storage & editing. Dual drives would be even better for editing workflow/some long term storage.
  17. **Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-towefull-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components?**
  18. * I enjoy LED lighting, but it's not a necessity. Ideally an SD card reader built in, or USBs located on front/top/side would be helpful for plugging in card reader.
  19. **Do you need a copy of Windows included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference?**
  20. * Yes I need Windows. No preference.
  21. **Extra info or particulars:**
First time upgrading in 7 years, so I'm stoked! I saw the $2,000 build in the pinned post, but was not sure if anything should be changed out since my primary focus is on video editing, and secondarily on gaming. Thanks y'all for any help!

2024.05.19 21:55 Zestyclose_Pickle511 Did DX12 mode stop working for you a couple months ago? Fix inside:

TL;DR - Cause: Having iGPU, or any secondary GPU enabled, causes PUBG to CTD at the centered splash screen, a couple seconds after showing when DX12 API is enabled in PUBG.
Simple fix: disable secondary gpu in Device Manager (or bios if you want to cut to the chase and don't use any of the features of the iGPU, like encoding, etc) . Simple fix won't work for my nerdy ass, as I have 4 monitors that I intend to use even when playing. One is a cap card from 2nd PC, but it presents as a monitor to the main PC.
Why I believe it happens: PUBG queries and/or benchmarks your gpu(s) at startup, by having 2 gpu's it crashes during this step, probably fixable with 15 characters of coding by devs. I think u/Rev0verdrive , our in-house UE wizard, may be able to explain this more accurately.
So yeah, DX12 is a pretty big deal for people on latest gen hardware and Win11 who don't want to have to use DX11/e fullscreen exclusive to obtain peak performance, while using g-sync, etc. Modern flip-discard presentation is much more fluid of an overall experience. As far as performance, the main difference is that you don't get as high of highs, but the 1% lows are greatly mitigated on my 13900 and 4080 setup.
But to highlight my own personal reasons for needing/wanting it - I alt-tab a lot and i've also grown sensitive to non-synced frames- not screen tearing, it's what amounts to micro-stuttering, at least that's how I perceive it. I recently upgraded to 4k 240hz OLED, and it's pretty wild. The HDR is ok (in other games, not PUBG), but the main deal is that because of the essentially non-existent Grey-to-Grey speeds, 240hz actually really feels and looks like 240hz/frames when panning the game around in 3d space. 240hz on an IPS is amazing, but there's the grey-to-grey lag that induces blur in either overshoot, or simply G2G blur. In summary, it's just super smooth, I get to alt-tab with the game being persistent on screen, and my gpu gets a workout. (GPU usage gets increased using DX12, which is fine for my scenario.)
Even Nerd-ier time:
I use/need the 4 monitors. The only reason I'm using the iGPU to run 2 monitors is that the 4080 can't run them with 4k/240hz/DSC. I tried for hours to find a combo, reduced all the specs on the non-main 3 monitors to be low hz, native resolution, 8-bit instead of 10bit, anything to reduce the non-main bandwidth usage. In the end, using the 2 mobo/iGPU heads got me into a good place again... Except for PUBG 😆 This has been a recurring theme for 7 years 🤣
You can re-enable the secondary gpu after it gets past the gpu benchmark/query when pubg loads, everything works fine. But, if you exit the game (read: when PUBG inevitably crashes) you'll have to repeat the steps. Meh.
Solution: Batch file. I even changed the batch file icon to use the PUBG helmet icon. Though you need to create a shortcut to the batch file in order to have it Run as Admin automatically. So right-click the batch file, Send To-> Desktop. Then use that newly created link to go to properties, advanced, run as admin.
here it is:
pnputil /disable-device "PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A780&SUBSYS_D0001458&REV_04\3&11583659&0&10"
start steam://rungameid/578080
timeout /t 28 /nobreak
pnputil /enable-device "PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A780&SUBSYS_D0001458&REV_04\3&11583659&0&10"
Thank you for attending my TED talk. I hope this helps someone out there. Most will probably benefit from simply disabling the iGPU if possible in their scenario. Maybe it will be addressed by PUBG, maybe it's on NVIDIA, Intel, i don't know. DX12 is back on the menu, so I wanted to pass along the revelations made. Cheers 🍻

Created A CyberPunk Dystopian Choose-Your-Own-Adventure Novel Set In The Year 2124 In Los Angeles
"The Neon District"

I was inspired after reading another user's experience creating his own world, so I decided to give it a shot. I wanted to create a sort of interactive choose-your-own-adventure cyberpunk story set in 2124 Los Angeles. I prompted ChatGPT to essentially create a story and world that revolves around common themes within a typical CyberPunk setting such as rampant crime, corrupt cops and politicians, massive drug usage, mega-corporations out of control, poverty, and technology blurring the lines between humanity.
One of my favorite video games lately of all time is CyberPunk 2077, so I just wanted to create something similar that I could experience and live through in a different interactive way while also testing out ChatGPT out of boredom. Here are some of the results from the simulation.
I'll denote "USER INPUT" as anything I wrote or input, and "CHAT GPT" anytime it outputs anything.
Rules: I will use minimal intervention / altering and mainly allow the program to pretty much lead me through the story barring any world-breaking narratives or plots:
  • CHATGPT:

Setting: Los Angeles, 2124

General Environment

  • Skyline: The skyline is dominated by towering skyscrapers, neon signs, and massive holographic advertisements. The upper levels house the wealthy elite and powerful corporations, while the lower levels are grimy, chaotic, and densely populated.
  • Streets: The streets are teeming with life at all hours. Neon lights and electronic billboards illuminate the darkness, casting a perpetual artificial glow. The air is thick with pollution, making clean air a luxury.
  • Architecture: Buildings are a mix of high-tech designs with futuristic materials and dilapidated structures. Graffiti covers many walls, and it's not uncommon to see makeshift shelters and slums in the shadow of corporate headquarters.
  • Technology: Advanced technology is integrated into everyday life. People have cybernetic enhancements, AI assistants, and immersive virtual reality systems. However, the gap between those who can afford cutting-edge tech and those who can't is vast.

Society

  • Crime and Law Enforcement: Crime is rampant. Gang wars and turf battles are common. The police are corrupt, often working for the highest bidder, whether it's a corporation or a crime syndicate. Justice is a commodity, and the wealthy can buy their way out of trouble.
  • Economy: The economy is dominated by a few mega-corporations that control everything from food and water to security and healthcare. Small businesses struggle to survive. Basic necessities are expensive, and clean water is a luxury.
  • Culture: The culture is a blend of hedonism and despair. Nightclubs, brothels, and underground fight clubs offer temporary escape from harsh realities. Art and music are heavily influenced by the cyberpunk aesthetic, with neon colors, dark themes, and digital elements.

Key Locations

  • The Underground: A labyrinth of tunnels, abandoned subway stations, and hidden passages used by criminals, hackers, and those avoiding the authorities. This is where Zoe feels most at home.
  • Corporate Towers: Massive skyscrapers where powerful corporations operate. They are heavily guarded, both physically and digitally, but hold valuable data and resources for skilled netrunners like Zoe.
  • Black Markets: Hidden marketplaces where anything can be bought or sold, from illegal tech and drugs to human organs and stolen data. Zoe frequents these markets to find jobs and acquire tools for her hacks.

Main Character: Zoe

Background

  • Early Life: Zoe grew up on the streets, learning to fend for herself from a young age. She quickly became skilled at navigating the dangerous urban environment and developed a talent for hacking and stealth.
  • Skills and Abilities: Zoe is a netrunner, capable of hacking into secure systems using her neural augmentations. She is also proficient with small arms and knives, and excels in stealth, disguise, acting, and manipulation.
  • Personality: Zoe is resourceful, intelligent, and determined. She has a sharp wit and a knack for thinking on her feet. While she can be cynical and distrusting, she also has a strong sense of loyalty to those she cares about.

Appearance

  • Height and Build: Zoe stands at 5'6" with a slim, athletic build. Her frame allows her to move quickly and silently.
  • Features: She has sharp features, piercing eyes, and a distinctive look that she can easily alter with makeup and disguises. Her hair is usually styled in a practical yet edgy way, fitting the cyberpunk aesthetic.
  • Augmentations: Zoe has several cybernetic enhancements, including neural implants for hacking, enhanced vision, and a subdermal interface for interacting with digital systems.

Plot Elements

Conflict

  • Corporate Rivalries: The mega-corporations are constantly vying for power, using any means necessary to sabotage their rivals. Zoe often finds herself caught in the crossfire, hired by one corporation to hack another.
  • Underground Power Struggles: Crime syndicates and gangs are in a constant state of flux, battling for control of territory and resources. Zoe's connections to these groups provide her with both opportunities and dangers.
  • Personal Stakes: Zoe's ultimate goal is to uncover the truth behind her parents' mysterious deaths, which she believes were orchestrated by one of the powerful corporations. This quest drives many of her actions and decisions.

Themes

  • Humanity vs. Technology: The story explores the tension between human identity and technological augmentation. Zoe struggles with maintaining her humanity as she becomes more reliant on her cybernetic enhancements.
  • Survival and Loyalty: In a world where trust is scarce and betrayal is common, Zoe must navigate complex relationships and alliances. Her loyalty to her friends and allies is both a strength and a vulnerability.
  • Power and Corruption: The pervasive corruption in both the corporate and criminal worlds serves as a backdrop for Zoe's journey. She constantly grapples with the moral complexities of her actions and their consequences.

Awesome. Lets start the story now. The story begins with Zoe waking up on a typical Saturday late morning. Friday night was a big night celebrating her childhood friends birthday drinking and partying at their favorite club. She wakes up with a slight hangover and is hungry. she notices several missed calls and messages
  • CHATGPT

Scene: Zoe's Apartment - Late Saturday Morning

The dim light filtering through the grime-covered windows of Zoe's apartment barely illuminates the cluttered room. The remnants of last night's celebration are scattered everywhere—empty bottles, discarded clothes, and the faint hum of old electronic music playing in the background. Zoe groans and sits up in bed, rubbing her temples to ease the throbbing in her head.

Narration:

Narrator: Zoe squinted at the holographic display, her vision still slightly blurry. The notifications were a mix of urgent messages and missed calls, each vying for her attention. She quickly scanned through them, her fingers moving with practiced ease over the interface.
Zoe: (mumbling to herself) "Great, just what I need. More problems to deal with..."
She swings her legs over the edge of the bed, stretching and wincing at the persistent hangover. With a sigh, she picks up her cybernetic arm from the nightstand and attaches it, feeling the familiar click as it integrates with her neural network. She taps her wristband, bringing up the missed messages and calls.

Dialogue:

Zoe: (talking to herself) "Let's see... job offers, updates from the underground... and what's this? 'Urgent Opportunity – High Reward.' Sounds promising."
Her stomach growls, reminding her of her hunger. She heads to the small kitchenette, grabbing a protein bar and some instant coffee. As she munches on her makeshift breakfast, she taps the message to read the details.
Zoe: (reading aloud) "High-risk, high-reward job, requiring a skilled netrunner. Substantial payout. Meet at The Hub tonight. Perfect."
Her thoughts are interrupted by a knock at the door. She frowns, not expecting visitors this early. Cautiously, she approaches and peers through the peephole. Recognizing the familiar figure on the other side, she relaxes and opens the door.
Lucas: (with a grin) "Morning, sunshine. You look like hell."
Zoe: (rolling her eyes) "Thanks, Lucas. You’re a real charmer. Come in."
Lucas steps inside, looking as rugged as ever with his scruff and tattoos. He drops a bag on the table and takes a seat.
Lucas: "I brought breakfast. Figured you’d need it after last night."
Zoe: "You’re a lifesaver. So, what’s up?"
Lucas: "Got a tip about a job. Sounds like it could be worth our while. But first, you need to get your head straight. Eat up and let’s talk."
They share a quick meal, discussing the potential job and catching up on recent events in the underground.

Choice Point 1: Zoe's Response to the Job Offer

Option A: Agree immediately and start planning. Option B: Ask for more details and express caution. Option C: Refuse the job and suggest looking for something safer.
Please choose an option by typing "Option A," "Option B," or "Option C."

Option B
  • CHATGPT

Choice: Option B - Ask for More Details and Express Caution

Zoe: (taking a sip of her coffee) "Hold on, Lucas. Before we jump in headfirst, I need to know more about this job. What exactly are we dealing with here?"
Lucas: (nodding) "Fair enough. It's a high-stakes heist at NeoCore Headquarters. Our client wants us to steal some sensitive data from their secure servers. The payout is massive, but so are the risks. We'll need to get past top-tier security, both physical and digital."
Zoe: (raising an eyebrow) "NeoCore, huh? That place is a fortress. Who's the client?"
Lucas: "No name, just an anonymous contact. But they seem legit. They've provided detailed blueprints and security protocols. Still, I get it if you’re hesitant. This one's big."

Choice Point 2: Zoe's Next Action

Option A: Accept the job but suggest taking extra precautions and planning thoroughly. Option B: Contact Marcus "Iron Hand" Kane for his advice and see if he has any additional information or support. Option C: Investigate the client further to ensure their legitimacy before making a decision.
That's all i have so far but this was a super cool way to pass some time on a Sunday. I am considering starting a parallel story similar to this but a horror-survival one, similar to something like the original Silent Hill etc.
What do you guys think - Anyone interested in seeing how this develops?!

2024.05.19 18:32 No_Queen A dysfunctional relationship with my mother

As an only child, there are moments wherein you really feel alone and pray na sana magka kapatid ako. I have a really dysfunctional relationship with my mom. I want to make a relationship with her pero sya mismo ang rason why i don't want to cultivate a relationship with her. For context, there are times na mabait sya sa akin may times na hindi. My dad is out of the picture, AFAM si papa pero he died (abangan nalang na story) Anyways, we have an event sa school and I live in a different city from my mom kasi i'm studying post-grad. Ngayon, i bought these contact lenses kasi may pa-theme yung event para labas talaga yung foreigner features ko (mas malakas dugo ni mama hahah so there are days na i look like a foreigner and there are days na i look very pinoy) tapos I bought 2 contact lenses: brown-grey and blue para bumagay sa theme ng event.
I showed it to her tapos she told me i look like a cross-eyed daw and this is verbatim kasi through chat: Masira ang Mata mo, Leche ka. (And mind you, humihintay ako ng grab ko while nasa church ako. Nasa loob ng church sya mag say ng things na ganyan)
I have PCOS and my doctor told me I might be a candidate for cervical cancer so my mom told me this in hiligaynon: Wala ka pa nahuman na health problem mo … dugang.an mo na pud ang problema???? Mata pa gid … ( Wala ka pa natapos sa health problem mo, dagdagan mo nanaman ang problema. Mata pa talaga)
And It's just contact lenses and what's worst is when she said: Di jud ko nimo hatagan dugang problema (Wag mo talaga ako bigyan ng problema)
I don't know why im crying while typing this, i feel like kahit anong try ko maging good child wala parin. I feel like grabe ka narcicist nanay ko. Why would she say na i will give her problems kasi sumuot ako ng contacts? I don't get it. Is buying contacts bad? or what?
I know some of you will say something to defend her like she's old so understand her nalang pero it's weird na as a child i became the parent of my parent. My psychologist said na my mom and i have emotional incest kasi grabe ang pagka dysfunctional ng aming dynamic. I love and care for my mom pero ang hirap gumawa ng relationship with her kasi everything that I do is wrong or if it does not align with her values kasi mali and dapat sya lang ang sundin.

2024.05.19 18:22 SgtCrimson77 Every album I listened to in April ranked

Every album I listened to in April ranked
I listened to a lot of amazing stuff in March and February and comparatively this month didn’t have as many albums I was really enamored with. Which says a lot because there still are a lot of great albums here.
Songs in The Key of Life is an absolute classic and I’m really shocked it took me so long to get to Stevie Wonder’s discography. Most double albums can be pretty tiring, and besides the bonus tracks this album kept my entire attention the whole way through. A lot of variety here.
Patti Smith’s Horses is incredible in every way. Smith’s lyrics and singing are so unique and captivating. Sometimes I feel that punk is just punk for the sake of it and not for the sake of if it’s good, but every choice in Horse’s never sticks out. So much energy here and so much emotion.
Exuma, The Obeah Man. This album reminds me a lot of Comus. Both are creepy and sort of mystical sounding at times. An extremely unique vibe here that I can’t compare to anything else. But I honestly don’t think I’ll be returning very much. It’s still really good though. Very unique singing here. It sounds like it could come from any time.
This month was basically the month where I went back to artists I’ve gone a little bit into before, but now diving into them a bit further. These artists were The Beach Boys, Black Sabbath, MF DOOM, Mike Oldfield, Deep Purple, Miles Davis, and The Kinks. I really loved Operation Doomsday and Ommadawn, but for me the real star of the show is Arthur by The Kinks. This is my new favorite Kinks album. Ray Davies is one of the most under-appreciated music geniuses of his time. The melodies and lyrics are incredibly ahead of their time. I love the overarching themes here, it’s very compelling. I think this album should get way more respect than it currently has.
Seru Giran can be very very fun but I don’t care as much for their more balled-y songs.
Mac Miller’s Faces is probably my favorite mixtape that I’ve listened to. It has a lot of sonic variety. The beats are very strong and it’s all very catchy. Miller’s lyrics I feel can be just a bit repetitive but when they hit they hit hard. I think his lyrics are better with his later material and are very emotionally effective, but I think this mixtape has the most variety from him. Circles is also great as well.
Two prog albums that are pink, cozy, and are very underrated. Caravan’s In The Land Of Grey And Pink is so unique. I think some prog bands focus too much on virtuoso musicianship or being weird, and while this album can have some very great instrumentation, it also balances that with a sense of fun. It kind of reminds me of RAM by Paul McCartney a bit with the more poppier tracks. They are very fun yet have a unique British quirk to them. It’s pretty weird having both fun pop songs and soaring rock adventures in the same album but I think it’s very charming. The last is absolutely incredible. McDonald and Giles, made by two early King Crimson members, bored me just a little bit at first, but that last song has an absolutely gorgeous vibe. I always heard about how the reason the original King Crimson lineup fell apart was due to artistic differences. McDonald wanted to go in a more romantic and light direction, while Fripp wanted to go darker instead. I loved what King Crimson would later make, but seeing the other side with this album makes me realize that both ways can create great music.

2024.05.19 13:34 ttomttom123 A rant about Season 6...

I still consider LOST my favorite TV show, especially the first five seasons, which I believe include some of the best television ever made. However, Season 6 didn't work for me. I wonder if others feel the same or have different perspectives that might help me appreciate the final season more.
1. The Sickness This storyline felt underdeveloped. Hinted at by Rousseau and Desmond, it never made much sense. I would've preferred if those following MIB genuinely agreed with him, similar to the split between Locke and Jack in Season 4. Sayid and Claire reverting to being "good" anyway, makes the sickness aspect seem unnecessary.
2. Sayid & Claire Both characters felt wasted. Sayid's resurrection seemed pointless, as he just followed MIB before changing his mind. Claire's descent into "craziness" was a cop-out. They could have developed her character more in a well deserved Claire centric episode, showing her genuine trust in MIB and blaming Jacob for Aarons fate, and her own. Not to mention a closer look at The Others and The Temple, where she could have been living for 3 years. Sayid, mourning Nadia, could have been more believably manipulated by MIB, blaming Jacob. No sickness storyline needed, and the conflict between this group and Jack's would have made for some great drama. Obviously both Sayid, and Claire, would move to Jack's side when realising MIB's true goal, but this happened even with the sickness.
3. Cindy Cindy's return was underutilised. Like Claire, she could be perhaps willingly following MIB due to blaming Jacob for the tail section camp's fate, and the kids. Plenty might have good reason to follow MIB and the grey area between him and Jacob could have been explored this way.
4. Sun & Jin Separating Sun from the core group for so long didn't work, especially since their reunion felt cheapened by their immediate deaths. Sun could have had a more significant role with Widmore, discovering Jin's survival and returning to the island with him, creating a compelling dynamic with the old castaways. This would have been a strong role for Sun, who would now be torn between her new found faith in Widmore, and her reunion with the old castaways. I also think she could have just replaced Zoe's character completely. How much more interesting would it have been if Sawyer had run into Sun on the other island, instead of Zoe.
5. Ilana & Frank Ilana's character felt unnecessary. Her role could have been repurposed for Frank Lapidus, with a backstory involving Jacob asking him to protect the candidates. This would tie back to the original flight and give Frank a more meaningful presence. Perhaps Jacob actually stopped Frank from piloting the original 815 flight, to ensure his safety.
6. The Flash Sideways The flash sideways concept was intriguing but became the biggest mystery of Season 6, which detracted from the main story. Condensing it into a two-hour special, perhaps involving Desmond, would have been more effective and less distracting. Similar in theme to Flashes Before Your Eyes, or The Constant.
7. The Ending The on-island conclusion was fine, but the flash sideways reveal as a post-death existence felt underwhelming to me, or at least somewhat disjointed The church scene, while artistic, lacked consistency with who was present, which detracted from the story's logic. Nostalgia seemed to overshadow the finer details, compromising the show's usual attention to detail.
For instance, should Penny and Boone really have been there? Miles spent longer with the majority of these people than Libby, Shannon, Boone, Penny, Charlie etc, and yet he wasn't there. Michael and Walt weren't there for reasons that seem contradictory. Ben was invited in, which seems odd. Daniel and Charlotte weren't there, but Shannon and Boone were? I understand the creative decision to keep it mainly the original cast. It seems nostalgic, fitting perhaps. But it fails under scrutiny to really understand the logic behind it. Did Boone or Locke not have a partner? Was Jack's Mum too busy to attend? Just nitpicking.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on the points I've made!!

2024.05.19 05:57 TheDarkMonarch1 Predictions for 15yr cosmetics

Day 5: It looks red and sparkly, so probably nether or lava themed.
Day 6: Grey and boring. Maybe cave themed or just something ordinary.
Day 7: I'm not too sure. Maybe teams related? Sunset? Got nothing for this one.
Day 8: Similar texture to purpur? So maybe shulker themed?
Day 9: Pride themed probably
Day 10: Another boring one. Could be anything.
Day 11: Bee. Definitely bee themed. No questions on this one.
Day 12: Another nether one? Maybe badlands? Not too sure.
Day 13: Amethyst themed cosmetic. Maybe we can have a little amethyst cluster on our heads.
Day 14: Sculk themed. Maybe we can have the warden ears.
Day 15: Cherry blossom themed. It'll definitely be pretty and pink!
Or who knows? Maybe the wrapping paper on the gifts is just a coincidence.
Edit: Day 5 was redstone themed, so I'm probably stupid

2024.05.19 03:50 HaitianMafiaMember I notice a lot of architecture and planning fans tend to hate almost all new real estate projects despite all the old projects looking the same as well in their time.

NYC brownstones, Philly/Baltimore rowhomes, Chicago grey stones.
When these structures were built back in their days did people yell out “damn another boxy row home” the same way people yell out another “box tower” for all the new construction today?

2024.05.19 01:43 turtoils Mom bit my brother and I feel caught in between

[NSFW for TW: Suicide]
Mom is a narcissist. Overly critical, conveniently forgetful of her faults, you know. Never physically abusive, but would yell at us in front of guests, then tell us she's not yelling. My brother has been NC with my mom for close to a decade, and I've had periods of NC/VLC when she's been insulting during difficult events I've gone through. Dad didn't realize the extent of how she treated us when we were kids, he started realizing it over the last few years, and had worked really hard to maintain some sort of relationship with us (now adult) kids... and then he killed himself this past January. It's been a shit time.
Since the funeral, both my brother and I have been to their house to help her sort through things a few times, and my brother was warming back up to her. Then he went over there by himself one night to help with some tech stuff, and she ended up trying to physically bar him from the home, and hit and BIT him. So that ended any attempt at reconciliation. Neither of us siblings have spoken to her since.
I am close with my brother, and have tried to be as supportive as possible with him being NC. I grey rock the crap out of Mom, and haven't given her updates on my brother. I even saved his name differently in my phone, as did my dad. Grandma was the weak link there though, and the first time my mom used his number was to inform him of Dad's death.
Mom thinks she is empathetic, but has a history of saying wildly incorrect things during periods of grief. Even the day my dad died, when I was at her house and everything had calmed down a bit, she insulted my choice of clothing. You know, the clothes I threw on to go support my mom at the house where my dad just killed himself.
Idk. I only have one parent left, she's dealing with stuff with the estate and everything, and historically as the eldest child I've been the one to help with that kind of thing. But she BIT my BROTHER. She kinda sucks on a lot of levels. I don't know what to do about any of this.
To further complicate things, my dad's relatives don't talk to her either (yes, there's a theme lol), and my living relatives that I do know are on my mom's side. I don't want to lose that connection, especially to my elderly grandma. She also has one of her very close friends no longer speaking to her for a few years, I'm not sure what happened there.
Ok, typing it out, I guess my mom sucks. But she's still my mom. For a while I was willing to put up with her because at some point the estate will need to be passed on to us kids, but wow she sucks and I'm not sure that's worth putting up with even for million dollar properties.
Grandma keeps calling and seeing if she can convince me to talk to my mom, because they both know I don't wanna disappoint my grandma. I have set every boundary I can, but of course I let Grandma cross them because she's old and I love her, and she's never going to think her daughter is a bad mom.
So what do I do?

2024.05.18 23:34 FlyingLeopard33 A Breakdown of Show V. Book: Romancing Mr. Bridgerton vs. Season 3 Part 1 (Spoilers GALORE, duh)

Disclaimer: There are book spoilers and season 3 part 1 spoilers in this post. The book spoilers are from RMB and from Francesca's book, When He Was Wicked. If you do not want spoilers, please do not read this post.
So, I really wanted to have a post where we can sort of break down the differences between the book(s) and the show because as someone who LOVES books... I actually find that I like the Bridgerton shows more than I like the books in a lot of ways. So, I wanted to give my thoughts, but I also really would love to hear everyone else's thoughts!
I'm sure there is more, but I'd love to hear what everyone thought about the differences between show and book! Sorry this is so long... I had a lot of thoughts.
