🔗Lightweight Drop Point Knife with OD Green G10 Handles

https://preview.redd.it/u9lgohcgnv5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f479afcad73dab57d6e418cde0c5c3a1096a8dcb
I recently tried the Benchmade 15600-01 Raghorn knife while on a camping trip, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer. The blade style, drop point, glided through various tasks with ease. Plus, the CPM S30V blade steel is top-notch in terms of durability, making it perfect for my outdoor adventures.
The knife is an impressive 101g, lightweight, yet sturdy. Its overall length of 22cm provides the perfect balance between portability and functionality. The OD Green G10 handles looked great and felt comfortable in my hand, making the knife easy to handle during tough situations.
The sheath, made of Boltaron, was a great addition, keeping the knife secure while not in use. However, one downside I noticed was that the knife seemed to be a bit too lightweight. Despite the impressive features, it felt almost too easy to carry and handle, which made me worried about leaving it on a table or forgetting it somewhere.
Overall, the Benchmade 15600-01 Raghorn knife is a fantastic choice for those who need a lightweight, high-quality knife for their outdoor excursions. Though it was a little lightweight for my taste, the blade's performance and the handle's design more than made up for it.

🔗Fox Livri: Stainless Steel Slim Pocket Knife with Carbon Fiber Handle

https://preview.redd.it/mv74ndlgnv5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bc087af0e7679dafa06ec217d56d74e0f2095208
The Fox Livri carbon fiber pocket knife is a sleek and stylish addition to your everyday carry. Handcrafted in Italy with top-quality materials, it boasts a blade made of M390 stainless steel, known for its sharpness and hardness. The black carbon fiber handle not only adds a touch of elegance but also ensures strength and durability, weighing just 1.6 ounces.
The knife comes with a leather pouch for convenient storage and even has a steel lin.

🔗Classic Japanese Folding Pocket Knife with Brass Handle and Blue Steel Blade

https://preview.redd.it/y16uo4vgnv5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=30f0cd5802156e0fc0f0ef3396978b4bec31b80d
This little Niwaki Blue Steel Higonokami Folding Knife has become a reliable companion on my daily adventures. The unique design harks back to traditional Japanese culture, but it's still efficient for various tasks. The 3-inch Hitachi Blue Steel blade is beautifully hand-forged, exuding an air of artisanship that I really appreciate.
One of my favorite things about this knife is its brass handle. It starts off shiny but over time, it mellows to a beautiful patina. That richness adds character and a hint of the history behind every use. That's something you can't get from a mass-produced item.
However, it is worth mentioning that the knife doesn't have any additional features like a locking mechanism or extras such as a corkscrew or tweezers. It's a no-frills design that's focused on simplicity and efficiency, which might not be for everyone.
But the Niwaki Blue Steel Higonokami Folding Knife has proven to be a great little pocket companion. It's slim, sturdy, and simple - a refreshing change from the gadgets we usually carry around. It holds its edge well and I've used it for everything from opening letters to carving a small piece of wood.
Overall, I've found this knife to be a reliable and aesthetic tool that's perfect for outdoor enthusiasts or anyone seeking a simple yet effective pocket knife. Despite its lack of frills, it's a satisfying tool to own and use.

🔗Slim Pocket Knife for All Adventures

https://preview.redd.it/wupkrndhnv5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e4243820cedb905b81ab4aabe3854227463e5ee1
I recently had the chance to test out the Benchmade 317-1 Weekender pocketknife, and let me tell you, it's quite the handy companion. With its slim profile, I found it easily slipped into my pocket, perfect for spontaneous weekend getaways into nature. The multi-blade design is a game-changer when it comes to versatility - you can switch between blades depending on the task at hand, from whittling to opening cold beverages.
The Benchmade Weekender is a true testament to quality, as it boasts a CPM S30V stainless steel finish and has a hardness rating of 58-60 HRC. To my delight, the Weekender stood up to even the roughest conditions I threw at it without any problems. The brown Micarta handle adds a touch of sophistication and offers a comfortable grip.
Of course, no product is perfect, and the Weekender does have its cons. It may be a bit on the heavier side, but I consider that a trade-off for its durability. Additionally, some may find the 2.3mm open length a bit limiting, but I personally find it adequate enough.
In conclusion, the Benchmade 317-1 Weekender is a fantastic addition to any outdoor adventurer's arsenal. Its sleek design, versatility, and high-quality materials make it a standout among its competitors. Give it a try, and I'm sure you'll find it as indispensable as I do.

🔗Classic Folding Hunter Knife, Compact and Convenient Everyday Carry

https://preview.redd.it/nqkh9rlhnv5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8883be80d27a13967096b1b1fdbf56d55a7b1af5
Just like the classic Buck Knives, the 55 Folding Hunter is a great addition to any outdoor enthusiast's collection. The compact design and one-hand opening make it perfect for everyday carry, especially when you're on the go and need to dress small game or work on various outdoor tasks.
Even though it's a smaller version of the legendary 110 Folding Hunter, the 55 still packs a punch with its satin finished high carbon stainless steel clip point blade. The American Walnut handle, brass bolsters and liner, and lockback locking mechanism keep it durable and reliable.
However, one downside I've noticed is the difficulty in closing the knife – it's a tad tougher than expected. On the plus side, the slim profile is a significant bonus; it's easy to carry and forget you even have it, making it a great choice for gentlemen who need a reliable and stylish knife for everyday use.

🔗Traditional Folding Hunter Knife with Macassar Ebony Handle

https://preview.redd.it/izrpny1inv5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=58711401d818e87077e1fea1bcd1d7f9834fa6a0
I often find myself reaching for my old trusty Buck Folding Hunter knife when I'm tackling various outdoor projects or camping trips. This durable, time-tested knife boasts a strong locking mechanism that keeps it securely closed when not in use, while also allowing ease of access to the blade when needed. With its classic Macassar Ebony Dymondwood handle, this knife has a stylish yet functional design that never fails to deliver when the situation calls for it.
One of the most notable features of this knife is the smooth opening and closing of the blade. Despite being a foldable knife, it feels secure and solid in my hand, offering me the confidence I need when making precise cuts or tackling more demanding tasks. I also appreciate the high carbon stainless steel clip point blade, which provides exceptional sharpness and long-lasting edge retention.
However, it isn't all sunshine and roses with this knife. One drawback I've encountered is that the packaging for this product can be less than ideal, leading to various issues such as dents and scratches on the knife's housing. I've had to carefully handle and store my Buck Folder Hunter Knife to prevent these issues from occurring, but it's a small price to pay for such a reliable and time-tested tool.
Overall, the Buck Folding Hunter knife has become my go-to tool for a variety of outdoor activities. Though I've encountered the occasional packaging issue, the quality and dependability of the knife itself make it well worth the investment for any enthusiastic outdoorsman.

🔗Boker Traditional Series Jigged Red Bone Razor Jack - High Carbon Steel Pocket Knife

https://preview.redd.it/6zp505iinv5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=943aaf98c858add3c5bb61eeb61cddc89be01879
For gentlemen who appreciate the classic and functional, the Boker Traditional Series Jigged Red Bone Razor Jack is an exceptional addition to their collection. With its traditional design, this pocket knife is a perfect companion for both everyday tasks and outdoor adventures. The high carbon stainless steel blades provide durability while the brass linings and nickel silver bolsters give it a sleek and polished look. The jigged red bone handle scales add to the aesthetic appeal, and the overall length of 5.625 inches allows for easy carry and use.
The Razor Jack model offers a two-hand use experience, making it perfect for those who prefer a traditional handle and feel. The slip joint lock adds to the security of the knife, ensuring that it stays in place when in use. With a cutting edge length of 2.125 inches, this pocket knife is versatile and functional for a variety of tasks. The blade length and thickness provide the right balance for both performance and portability, making it a reliable tool for any situation.
Overall, this pocket knife is a fantastic addition to the Boker Traditional Series, and it has received positive feedback from users. However, some users have encountered issues with the bone handle cracking, which could be a concern for potential buyers. Despite this potential flaw, the Boker Traditional Series Jigged Red Bone Razor Jack is a worthwhile investment for those who appreciate traditional design, high-quality materials, and a reliable, versatile pocket knife.

🔗Affordable Black Stonewash Pocket Knife from Remington Backwoods

https://preview.redd.it/bkc5c1rinv5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8f2810d0e9156b75e5c37b759e5c00392188b815
For my part, I've found the Remington Backwoods Barlow Folder to be quite versatile. It's been a reliable tool in times of need, and it's pretty durable too.
The blade isn't the sharpest, but it does the job well enough. I've had one for quite some time now and I'm still going strong. It's a bit pricey, but for its quality, it's definitely worth the investment.

🔗Premium Barlow Pocket Knife with Satin Finish Blade

https://preview.redd.it/68egym1jnv5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ad0ce28d7a4a8483010cb06e0bca3b7863744959
Just recently, I had the chance to try out the Boker 116942 Prime Barlow EDC in my routine daily tasks. Right off the bat, I was drawn in by its classic Barlow design with the distinctive teardrop shape. The black Canvas Micarta handle felt nice and secure in my hand, while the satin-finished N690 blade just had that perfect edge for my everyday needs.
What stood out to me most though was the elongated ricaso lock - it made opening and closing the knife a breeze while still ensuring safety. Overall, I'd say this Boker 116942 Prime Barlow EDC is a worthy addition to my pocket knife collection.

🔗Premium German-Made Pocket Knife with Leopard Damascus Blade

https://preview.redd.it/vgscp4jjnv5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ddf2338bf412317c26a2b455f6e654c5b5eeeb49
The Boker 100501DAM Leopard Barlow is an elegant choice for those who appreciate classic design and superior craftsmanship. With a lightweight slip-joint pocket knife that can handle almost all everyday cutting tasks, this noble collector's edition features a blade made from Leopard-Damascus steel, inspired by the legendary blade steel used in the Leopard main battle tank. The knife's contoured handle, made from Canvas Micarta and desert ironwood, provides a comfortable grip, while the high-quality felt case, certificate of authenticity, and individual serial number add to its charm.
Although the pocket knife's dimensions may be slightly smaller, it's an eminently capable tool.

🔗Bear & Son C137L Small Lockback Gold Pocket Knife

https://preview.redd.it/tyqm5ppjnv5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=384063c15258e5592e36881c4d890ad944807ce1
I recently had the chance to try out the Bear & Son C137L, a small lockback knife with a mirror finish stainless blade and a gold aluminum handle. In my experience, the C137L was a reliable and stylish addition to my daily life, perfect for small tasks and a versatile companion for outdoor adventures.
What I loved about this pocket knife was its compact closure, allowing me to carry it easily without taking up too much space in my pockets. The mirror finish stainless blade was another highlight; not only did it add an elegant touch to the knife's appearance, but it also performed exceptionally well in various cutting tasks.
However, the handle of the Bear & Son C137L, made of yellow aluminum, didn't quite stand out like I hoped it would. It was comfortable to hold, but the gold-toned color didn't offer the same level of sophistication or contrasting appeal that I was expecting.
Overall, the C137L Small Lockback Gold by Bear & Son is a practical and stylish gentleman's pocket knife, ideal for anyone who values durability, compactness, and a touch of class. While it came with some minor drawbacks, I believe the positives of this knife far outweigh any shortcomings.

🔗Tactile Italian Pocket Knife for the Modern Gentleman

I recently had the pleasure of using the Maserin CE620 Gentleman's Knife, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer in my everyday life. Not only does it look sleek with its mirror finish stainless clip and pen blades, but it also exudes an air of elegance with its brown jigged bone handle. Made in Italy, this knife is crafted with precision and care.
One aspect that stood out to me was its size, perfect for everyday use without being too bulky. However, I found that the blade wasn't as sharp as I would've liked, but it was still functional for most tasks. Overall, the Maserin CE620 Gentleman's Knife is a stylish and practical addition to any gentleman's pocket, offering both utility and a touch of sophistication.

🔗Stylish Boker Jigged Brown Bone Razor Jack Pocket Knife

https://preview.redd.it/fhf5a4kknv5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6666dd5fd0d9b0ba7b35ff0817d51d02bf209324
I recently had the chance to try out the Boker Traditional Jigged Brown Bone Razor Jack, and I have to say, it was impressive. The first thing that caught my eye was its classic design and construction. It features nickel silver bolsters, brass linings, and high carbon stainless steel blades - a perfect combination.
The jigged brown bone handle scales gave it an added touch of elegance and made it comfortable to hold. However, one thing to note is that it requires two hands to open and close, which might not be ideal for some users.
Using this pocket knife was a delight. It slid smoothly in and out of my pocket, and the stainless steel blade offered a sharp edge. The edge locking mechanism worked as advertised, and I appreciated the added safety feature.
Overall, the Boker Traditional Jigged Brown Bone Razor Jack is a well-made, stylish pocket knife that is perfect for anyone looking to add a touch of class to their everyday carry.

🔗Luxurious Rosewood Stockman Pocket Knife

https://preview.redd.it/pryzucvknv5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4da4dcf9751b56b2e8082fd542a8e7809ec157a4
The Bear & Son Rosewood Stockman is a perfect example of craftsmanship and attention to detail. A friend had one of these in his collection and I couldn't resist the opportunity to check it out up close. When he handed it to me, I was immediately drawn to its smoothness. The Rosewood handle is polished so well, it felt like silk under my fingers.
One thing that stood out was the balance and weight. The contoured handle fits nicely in the hand, feeling secure and comfortable to hold. The large size of the knife was also a plus, providing a decent amount of length and thickness to get the job done.
On the downside, while it's an impressive piece, I did find its size a little cumbersome in certain situations. The knife's large build can be a bit unwieldy for specific tasks. The sharpness right out of the box could have been a little better too, but that's pretty common with most knives these days.
This Bear & Son Rosewood Stockman is not just a knife; it's a true piece of art. Its high carbon stainless steel blade and hollow ground feature offer excellent performance. It might take a bit of getting used to in terms of size, but overall, it's a sturdy and reliable tool to have.

Buyer's Guide

Welcome to our buyer's guide for Gentleman's Pocket Knives. This comprehensive section will provide you with essential information to help you make an informed decision when purchasing the perfect pocket knife. We will discuss various features, considerations, and general advice to ensure you get the best value for your money.

Size and Portability

https://preview.redd.it/ly4ae3alnv5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6cababbe47b3cbe3740b42225e4954c61d33cf44
When shopping for a gentleman's pocket knife, consider the size and portability of the knife. Pocket knives come in various sizes, so it is crucial to find one that suits your needs. A smaller pocket knife is more portable and convenient for everyday use, while a larger knife can be more durable and versatile. Be sure to choose a size that is comfortable for you to carry and use.

Type of Blade

Different pocket knives have different types of blades, each designed for specific purposes. Some common types of blades include clip point, drop point, sheepsfoot, and wharncliffe. A clip point blade is ideal for piercing and detailed work, while a drop point blade offers a versatile and all-purpose design. Sheepsfoot blades are great for slicing, and wharncliffe blades are designed for heavy-duty tasks. Determine the type of blade that best suits your needs and preferences.

Blade Construction

The blade construction of a pocket knife is essential for its durability and performance. High-quality pocket knives typically have high-carbon stainless steel blades or other durable materials like Damascus steel. Look for a knife with a full tang or a tang that extends through the handle, ensuring better balance and durability. A well-constructed blade will maintain its edge longer and provide better overall performance.

https://preview.redd.it/p8ypnvtlnv5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=652c2f5f4ab078c1c2404f753bc0955b83c67859

Handle Material and Design

The handle of a pocket knife is crucial for comfort and grip. Pocket knives come with various handle materials, including wood, bone, resin, and even metal. Wood and bone handles offer a classic look but may not be the most durable option. Resin and metal handles provide better durability and grip. Consider a handle material that suits your taste and preferences while ensuring comfort and a secure grip.

Locking Mechanism

A reliable locking mechanism is essential for a gentleman's pocket knife to ensure safety when not in use. There are three main types of locking mechanisms: slip joint, frame lock, and liner lock. Slip joint knives have two parts that slide against each other to lock the blade in place. Frame locks use a portion of the handle to lock the blade, while liner locks use a metal liner that extends to lock the blade. Choose a pocket knife with a secure and reliable locking mechanism to ensure safety.

Maintenance and Care

https://preview.redd.it/zhpyq32mnv5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bb6e1077ec57ea4965ec98b182e3b9ecc26e5867
Proper maintenance and care are essential to ensure the longevity and performance of your gentleman's pocket knife. Always clean the knife after use to prevent rust and corrosion. Dry the knife thoroughly, then apply a small amount of oil or lubricant to the joints and moving parts. Store your pocket knife in a dry, cool place when not in use to prevent rust and maintain its quality.
Choosing the right gentleman's pocket knife requires careful consideration of various factors, including size, blade type, blade construction, handle material, locking mechanism, and maintenance. By carefully evaluating these aspects, you can find a pocket knife that meets your needs, preferences, and requirements, and ensures you always have the perfect tool at your disposal.

Help me find a lost youtube video from about circa. 2011-12
Hello fellow redditors,
I’ve had trouble finding this youtube video for years and it contains an opera sung by fish and it takes place in the ocean. it was made in a clip art style animation where the pictures were edited to like make their mouths sing to the song, edited background of the ocean, etc. it featured sardines in a sardine can singing about how they didn’t want to be eaten, and it also included a long eel that they called the king herring (it was an oarfish that had a clip art crown on its head). i slightly remember the phrase “hallowing herrings” being involved in the title but i could be wrong. this probably sounds insane but the only reason im sure i didn’t schizo this up is because my brother (who i watched the video with), remembers it too. i would really love to find this because it was like a core memory from my childhood and would really like to rewatch. thank you!

🔗Hatsan .25 S/Roto 10-Shot Magazine for Flash Airguns

As a reviewer, I've had the pleasure of using the Hatsan S/Roto Index Magazine in my daily life, specifically with my Hatsan Flash airgun. The lightweight synthetic and acrylic design has been a game-changer, making the gun easier to carry around.
One feature that stood out for me was the magazine's 10-shot capacity in. 25, which has made my experience much smoother and more efficient. However, I did notice that it's a bit more demanding when it comes to ensuring everything is lined up just right. On the flip side, I've experienced no issues with jams, and the design has proven to be sturdy.
Overall, the Hatsan S/Roto Index Magazine has been a reliable and efficient addition to my airgun, and it's clear that many other users have had positive experiences as well.

As a huge fan of RC vehicles, I was thrilled to get my hands on Yaesu Shuppan's latest release, the 6.8 SPC magazine. The moment I cracked it open, I was immediately drawn to the 2.0 mm HEX drivers, a fantastic addition to the world of RC enthusiasts. It's great to see that Yaesu Shuppan has continued to innovate in the field, adding new and exciting features to their products.
However, what I found most intriguing were the RC troubleshooting guides included in the magazine. As someone who has run into their fair share of difficulties with my RC toys, I can attest to the value of having resources to help me overcome these challenges.
While working with the 6.8 SPC magazine, I did encounter a couple of minor hiccups, but nothing that detracted too much from my overall experience. The quality of the materials used in the magazine was impressive, even if it may not be up to the standards of glossy magazines you'd find at a local bookstore.
All in all, for RC enthusiasts and those who are just starting to get into the hobby, the Yaesu Shuppan 6.8 SPC magazine is a must-have. With helpful guides and innovative features, it's sure to keep you in the loop and entertained for hours on end!

🔗World War II Quarterly Magazine: Spring-23 - Unveiling Hidden Histories

From the moment I opened the Spring-23 issue of WWII Quarterly Magazine, I felt transported back in time. The detailed articles, written in an easy-to-follow style, made me feel like I was part of the action, whether it was during a major battle or a lesser-known event.
One feature that stood out for me was the use of maps and photographs throughout the issue, which helped me visualize what was happening during the war. The in-depth coverage of different geographical locations where the war was fought was fascinating, and I especially enjoyed learning about the intelligence operations of the time.
The detail given to specific weapons, aircraft, and military equipment was impressive, and really added depth to my understanding of the conflict. I also appreciated the occasional reviews of related products, like books, movies, and games. These helped me explore different aspects of the war, and discover new resources to broaden my knowledge.
Overall, the WWII Quarterly Magazine is a must-read for anyone interested in World War II history. Its engaging style and accurate depiction of events will captivate readers from start to finish.

I've been using the Vedder Holsters Taurus G2S MagDraw holster for my spare magazines, and I must say it's been a game-changer. This sleek, ergonomic design allows me to carry my magazine comfortably without any bulk. I particularly love the adjustable retention feature, making it perfect for that snug fit.
And the rock-solid paddle clip with Vedder's proprietary tactical non-slip texture ensures it stays in place on my belt, preventing any movement. Oh, and the fact that it comes in over 75 colors and patterns? .
It's a great way to add some personal flair to my gear. But sometimes, I wish it could fit wider belts, and I wouldn't mind a few more patterns to choose from. Overall, though, this holster has made my shooting experience more enjoyable and hassle-free.

I recently got my hands on the January '92 issue of Nintendo Power, and let me tell you, it was a blast from the past! As a seasoned gamer, I was impressed by the sheer amount of content packed into this vintage magazine. From the moment I opened it, I knew I was in for a wild ride.
Super Castlevania IV featured prominently in this issue, and I couldn't resist delving into its dark, eerie world. As I navigated through the game's twisted corridors and battled the devilish inhabitants, I couldn't help but be reminded of my childhood gaming days. This nostalgic journey was only enhanced by the wealth of other gaming articles covering a variety of genres.
The magazine's monthly publication schedule was one of its standout features. I found myself eagerly anticipating the next issue, always excited to see what gaming gems lay ahead. However, I did notice that some articles were written in dated language, making it a bit difficult for me to fully connect with the content.
Overall, I had a great time immersing myself in the world of Nintendo Power. The vintage magazine provided a treasure trove of information and tips, perfect for both seasoned gamers and newcomers to the industry. If you're a collector or simply a lover of gaming history, this issue is definitely worth a look!

Buyer's Guide

Choosing the right G2S (Gaming, Gadgets, and Gizmos) magazine can be a daunting task, especially given the wide variety of options available in the market today. To help you make an informed decision, we've outlined some crucial factors to consider when selecting a G2S magazine. ### 1. Content Focus
Different magazines offer unique content focuses, catering to different interests within the G2S category. Some may focus more on gaming, offering in-depth reviews, tips, and strategies on the latest games. Others may concentrate on gadgets and gizmos, featuring news, specs, and hands-on reviews of the latest tech devices.
Consider your primary interest in the realm of G2S and opt for a magazine that aligns with your preferences. Some G2S magazines may also cover all three aspects, but it's essential to know which area they emphasize the most.

2. Magazine Format

G2S magazines come in different formats - print, digital, or both. Print magazines offer a tactile reading experience but can be environmentally unfriendly. Digital versions are eco-friendly and often more cost-effective but may not offer the same visual and tangible experience as a print edition. Consider your personal preference and needs when choosing the format.

https://preview.redd.it/anhf9dgkxu5d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e6ab3987e031b4aed30ada0f6e1a4f59a80a98b8

3. Accessibility

Ensure the magazine you choose is easily accessible to you. If you prefer a physical copy, consider the circulation area and frequency of the print magazine. For digital editions, check the compatibility with your device or operating system and explore the platform where it's available (e. g. , iOS, Android, or any other compatible platforms).

4. Frequency

Frequency of publication is another essential factor to consider. If you want up-to-the-minute news, opt for frequent issue releases. For a more leisurely pace, a quarterly or biannual publication schedule might be more suitable.

5. Credibility

Researching the magazine's credibility and reputation can also help inform your decision. Look for positive reviews and recommendations from trusted sources or gaming communities. Established magazines with a solid track record are likely to provide reliable, unbiased content.

6. Price

Subscription prices vary significantly across G2S magazines. Determine your budget and factor in whether the magazine offers value for money.

7. Free Trials and Samples

Some magazines offer free trials or limited-time promotional offers. These can be valuable tools to get a feel for the magazine before making a long-term commitment.

Wrap Up

Choosing the right G2S magazine requires careful consideration of your preferences and needs. By keeping these factors in mind, you'll be well-equipped to select a publication that delivers valuable insights and enjoyment in the gaming, gadget, and gizmo scene.

2024.06.11 03:21 holdmybacons Looking for Mini pc for digital art(CSP)

Hi, i'm new to this subreddit but had no luck looking for the info i needed.
I'm looking for a cheap mini-pc for basic digital art(manga). Currently using mailny Clip Studio Pro/EX but never use the 3d models or heavy assets. From what I know CSP is a more cpu heavy program than gpu(could be wrong). I use the pages option on EX when i work on a comic, sometimes 20~60 pages of b5@600dpi for doujin works.
I dont need gaming, but do need dual hdmi to plug in my drawing tablet, preferrably dual 4k. Intel or AMD is both fine.
16gb ram, 500gb ssd is good enough.
My current setup is from 2018 with intel i5/16gb ram/gtx750ti exceeds all my needs no problem but i'm looking to upgrade while downsizing.
I'm based in US(ca) would there be a sub $200 system to run that smoothly? If that's not possible for $300?

2024.06.11 03:16 NewWays91 A Honest Appraisal of 'The Help' (LONG POST)

Viola Davis is one of the most decorated Black actresses of all time and that's not really hyperbole. No other Black actress in The West has attained the amount of acclaim and accolades she has. She's been nominated for six Emmys winning once, four Tonys winning twice, a Grammy and she's 1 for 1 there and lastly four Oscars where she's won once. Most of the roles she's won and been nominated for 'make sense' if we're going by traditional standards of what's award worthy. And then there's The Help. It's been over ten years since this film has come out and I feel like it's reputation is a bit extreme. The lore if you will tends to be that it came out, most people saw it as low effort kumbaya feel good Oscar tripe and we all moved on feeling enlightened having rejected it. Zoomers who were probably too young to have seen it when it first came out largely seem to have the same general idea of it and I think most younger audiences have skipped it over due to its reputation as 'dated'. In the same way people act like La La Land was Triumph of the Will, I think our collective desire to be more forward thinking as it comes to race relations tends to cloud our memory of what certain works actually are like and what they meant in the context they were made. I'm not here to tell you The Help is a great film but I am here to say that because we tend to focus so much on the less than amazing way it handles race that we overlook it as a film entirely. Because I rewatched it recently and boy howdy does it have so many other things we can talk about besides the racial aspect and trust me we'll get there. But before we do, let's actually appraise The Help as a piece of filmmaking.
For starters, I don't think the crafts here are well done and that's kind of emblematic of a lot of films of this type. GreenBook, Hidden Figures, The Blind Side and other 'inspirational stories' about race tend to have this over saturated color palette with lighting that's pretty flat otherwise combined with the most serviceable cinematography you've ever seen. They all have at least one scene in darkness that's lit so poorly you can barely make out the Black actors' faces. They feel like they were made for TV. The Help is no different in this regard. I can't point to any shots that are bad but I can't point to any that blew me away. Not every film needs crazy ass camera tricks but for a story that very much wants to feel grandoise and important, it's not framed that way. This actually works against the film getting its message across. I don't love 12 Years a Slave but I can tell you this: the film is crafted so as to implore the gravity of its message. Imagine if the cinematography was mostly mid shot-wide shot-close up-mid shot etc. Then imagine if the saturation was dialed up to almost Disney Channel sitcom levels combined with lighting that does its darker skinned cast absolutely no favors. Toss in a score that sounds like stock inspirational music you could find in a YouTube video, costuming and hairstyling that ranges from fine to SNL worthy and very workmanlike editing and the end result would feel like more a Lifetime film than anything else. The Help very much comes off that way to me so much so that when I first saw it I assumed it was a Nickelodeon production. Visually, I feel talked down to because I am not being given anything to satisfy me in any other aspect so I'm now forced to focus on the script. Compare this to the recent Oscar darling Oppenheimer which has so much going on with its editing, cinematography, score etc that you could easily overlook the less solid parts of the actual narrative. Now if it were presented like The Help, those flaws would be evermore present because what else would you have to feast on?
There are of course the performances which are uniformly fine and this is where I get the hate mail: I do not think there is an award-worthy performance in this film. I have a deep admiration and respect for Viola Davis as an artist and what she stands for but this very much your standard Viola Davis role. At this point in her career she wasn't quite known yet for the badass lady bosses that we tend to associate her with now. This was during her Snot Era™ and if you've ever seen any movie where she has to cry you know exactly what I'm talking about. I've jokingly said in the past you could tell how much she was trying by how tore up she looked by the end of the film. There's a reason she won for Fences because goddamn does she pull out all the stops. I'd even go as far to say that was the culmination of her Snot Era because she's firmly entrenched in her Bad Bitch phase right now. I think we're all looking forward to 'Do Whatever I Want Phase' Meryl Streep was in for a good chunk of the mid 90's and 2000's. Lesser films during the Snot Era, when she wasn't just playing a doctor or mayor or something, usually just relied upon her natural elegance and quiet dignity and then had her bust out in full mucus towards the end. She basically does the same thing here in The Help and while she's definitely not half assing it she's not giving the tour de force performance we've become used to her giving on any day that ends in Y. This is largely because the script nor director seemed to give her the space to do so. Shifting to the person who managed to actually win something because of this flick, Octavia Spencer won Best Supporting Actress for her role as Minnie and she's perfectly fine. The role does not ask much of her besides being sassy, somewhat intimidating and once in a while she gets to cry. It's far from her best performance but she did manage to go from goofy comedies to playing some version of Minnie for the next ten years so I'm guessing it worked out for her. Jessica Chastain is bringing all she can to a role that is underwritten. Bryce Dallas Howard is bringing all she can to a role that is underwritten. Sissy Spacek is there just to show off that they got Sissy Spacek. Emma Stone is also in the movie. She gets the thankless task of being the blank slate main character who mostly just exists to introduce us to the more interesting characters and move the plot along. She does get an arc kinda but she leaves the film largely the same way she entered it. I actually thought it would be interesting if Emma and Bryce had switched roles. Bryce is much better at playing the well meaning yet ignorant type and Emma can clearly play an evil bitch. But this was during the phase in her career where they didn't know quite where to put her and honestly despite winning an Oscar in 2017, she wouldn't find that groove until she started working with everyone's favorite weird Grecian.
So about that script, what exactly is wrong with it? It hits all the beats you'd expect, it gets dramatic at the right moments, the major characters all get at least one big Oscar clip and it ends on a somewhat heartwarming note. The problem is the script dances around the issue instead of taking it head on. Bryce's character mentions having also had a Black maid growing up and yet she's still horrendously racist. Why? You could unpack what happens to white children who are made to bond with a person they are taught is a second class citizen. Skeeter starts off the film feeling more progressive than anyone else in the flick and largely stays that way. Jessica's character is implied to have grown up broke and married into money. Her relationship with her Black maid is much more amicable but you could've analyzed the relationship between poor whites and poor Blacks because if we're being honest that's where a good chunk of the animus then and now resides. The white men in the film get off pretty damn easy compared to the women and seem to just mostly go along with what the women do. I do appreciate that the film at least gestures to white women's complicity in maintaining racial hierarchies. But we're not really telling the whole story if we're not really analyzing how the patriarchy also factors into this. Abeliene and Minnie aren't really characters as much as representations of Black maids during the 60's. We get plenty of info on Skeeter's upbringing, hopes and dreams, shortcomings etc. We get none of that for the character whose portrayal was apparently worthy of a Best Actress nomination. Abeliene is basically a side character who happens to be in more pivotal points of the film but she's very much supporting. This is annoying because it very much should be her movie. She should be the one who aspires to be a writer and start collecting the stories of other maids. She should be the one working to get her own book deal and she'd get more to do if you unraveled her dealing with the prejudices in the supposedly progressive literary world too. She should be the character we follow the most but sadly she is not and the movie as a whole suffers for it.
The film obviously didn't direct itself but it very much felt like anyone could've directed it. The visual style is barely existent. The editing serves only to get us from point A to point B. The score is there. The script is by the numbers. Nothing about this feels like the director had a clear vision for what they wanted outside of the performances. The director is a gay man and you can tell from how much the actresses seemed to have gotten the most notes. There is a strong emphasis on strong women and bonding between women and that's admirable. I honestly can't say it's a bad film but it's not great either, it's simply fine. It's very run of the mill and all that combined leaves us no choice but to focus on the racial aspect of it. That's the problem with a lot of these films. Say what you want about stuff like Mississippi Burning, The Ghosts of Mississippi, In The Heat of the Night, Driving Miss Daisy and other films your grandma loves but at the very least there was some artistic aspect to them that could make you ignore the fact those films don't have a ton to say about racism besides it's bad. Sam Jackson acted his dick off in A Time to Kill and again that film isn't particularly deep either but it's well made. I'm not saying that zero talent goes into making a film like The Help or films like it, they're not poorly made.
No one except maybe Uwe Boll sets out to make a bad film. But films like The Help, GreenBook, Hidden Figures and their ilk aren't these artists firing on all cylinders and in a way that's it's own subtle form of racism. Compare how Ava DuVernay shot Selma to The Help. Compare how Shaka King shot Judas and The Black Messiah to GreenBook. We should be able to take them seriously as films, as works of art and not just vessels to get across the most boilerplate of messages about race. For a non-racial example to get my point across, I point you to CODA. Full disclosure: I actually do like CODA but many of the same exact issues I spent an absurd amount of words on about the help, applies to CODA as well. It's not presented in an interesting way in fact you could argue it looks like a TV movie. The script does the bare minimum in regards to fleshing out its deaf characters with most of the focus going to the hearing daughter. The story is very by the numbers and buoyed largely by decent performances. It's not a bad film, it's not a great film, it's fine. But people tend to have a problem with it because all the ingredients were there for it to be more than fine. Films about things that matter should be presented as if those things matter otherwise they trivialize important issues and let their audience off the hook.
We're slowly moving beyond stuff like The Help and Greenbook, the latter of which felt like the last gasp of this type of thing. For better or worse, racial commentary has moved into the world of high concept fantasy, science fiction, horror or whatever The Magical Society of Negroes was supposed to be. When it's not we're getting very powerful historical dramas about events and figures that don't exactly inspire that 'let's all get along attitude' films like The Help aim for. No one left Till or Judas and the Black Messiah with the warm fuzzies unless you happened to be drinking in the theater for how intense Till was, I don't blame you. The goal now isn't so much to look at the past and say 'boy we've come a long way' but to turn to the present and say shit's still fucked. Even when we look at the past we're doing so to draw parallels to today and show how things haven't really changed all that much. Blackkklansman made that point exceedingly clear in a way only Spike Lee seems to be able to get away with. But for what it is, The Help is not the worst film ever made. It's not overly saccharine schlock and you can tell there were some good intentions behind it. The film is perfectly entertaining and if you just wanna turn off your critical thinking and be moved it works in that way too.

2024.06.11 02:49 InfluenceSufficient3 Is Bleach really *that* good

So, a couple of buddies of mine, as well as my S/O have heralded Bleach as being one of the best animes of all time. I decided to start watching Bleach, and I just got done with the soul society arc (~ep. 64?). In general, I have enjoyed it so far. Not as much as I have enjoyed other animes, but its been fun. Aizen is incredible, I like the entire idea of Zanpakutos and their different “evolutions”, as well as the soul society being an incredibly interesting organisation in General.
Bleach being a top anime tracks in terms of view count and such, but so far I have had quite a few issues that prevent me from enjoying it as much as I apparently should.
  1. Ichigos power scaling makes zero sense. This applies to the show as a whole, but Ichigo is especially egregious. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a proper reason (my current theory is Ichigo hails from the shiba clan in some way? He looks exactly like Kaien Shiba just with orange hair instead of purple). But so far, Ichigo has gotten his ass beat time and time again, and after what essentially amounts to a pep talk by Zangetsu or Yoruichi, he gets up and beats a Gotei 13’s captain’s ass. What annoyed me most though, is the fact that Ichigo attained Bankai in 2 days, meanwhile some of the strongest characters like Byakuya took decades to attain Bankai, and Zaraki doesn’t even have Shikai. It doesn’t make much sense to me.
  2. Some of the side characters are just awful. Inoue is cute and all but god damn she is useless. She’s done a couple of things here and there, but for the entire soul arc she’s relied on Uryu to save her ass. I do hope she comes into her own.
  3. There are so many characters. the 13 Gotei captains, their Lieutenants and then the various different seats of the Squads, thats like 50 characters right there, then there’s Ichigo and his group of friends, plus all the various soul society outcasts like Urahara and Yoruichi, then there’s Ichigos family, as well as his classmates. Its all a bit much.
  4. Finally, this is very subjective, and I understand that Bleach is getting rather old, but the art really throws me off at times. Ichigo is once again particularly eggregious, the way his face is animated has him looking like two entirely different people from frame to frame. Also, all of the places in the show feel incredibly liminal, especially anywhere within the Seiretei, and its really throwing me off.
So, to get to the question, does/do; the wild power scaling get explained, the minor characters get more fleshed out, the cast of characters get consolidated a bit, and does the art style improve? I’ve seen some clips of TYBW, the art seems to have improved drastically, but i still have 300 episodes to go until then. Basically, does the show get better?
Sorry if the question might be a bit too vague, but I’m starting to question if I can finish Bleach, so, any opinions would be appreciated. Cheers and bohahahaha

2024.06.11 01:58 Champagne_Siren Hey guys, I made a video edit of Blade!

I hope this is the proper flair tag, I am not used to posting any content on here. But I recently figured I would start learning how to edit videos from clips taken from various sources. Most likely anime and anime-adjacent things! Eventually I'd like to grow past edits and start creating digital art, but for now my goal is just to make decent edits, and try to learn from there. This is my first ever completed edit, and I do know that it won't be perfect. I wanted to share because I thought you guys might appreciate a Blade edit. I don't want to upload the video here, as I don't know the rules for posting video media in this subreddit, and I also am not sure what quality it would be if I directly uploaded it here. So for the sake of convenience, the link to my Youtube video will be added below this text. I don't expect any engagement on the video, it truly is just to document my journey into editing! But if you'd like to watch it, I would love to share it. It is noted in my description on the video, but I did upload the video at 1080P so you may need to change the viewing quality in the YT app or on desktop to 1080P for it to look right! :)
Bladey
Thanks for reading guys.

2024.06.11 01:15 Dry-Win-8649 About tectone

I don't interact in any sub cause I'm not a reddit user I came from initially forum websites and facebook mostly so I don't know how the formatting goes in this site, but I've been a viewer of tectone for as long as 3 years? Maybe? I first got to knowing his content through installing arknights searching guides and stuff, and funnily enough in one of his videos talking about the chill guides where he got lucky and pulled ifrit, I tried the same thing he did and got her on my first try! that I got hyped from it, which from there on I started watching his content religiously from him pumping out guides for arknights talking about his life and etc.
He's also one of the few people that got me into genshin. I don't religiously follow his streams but when I do it's usually him talking about mental health or enjoying the games he plays, which was what my first impression of him was initially, a chill big guy that is sometimes loud and obnoxious but we know it's a persona he plays and I was so happy when I he got into OTK (I was watching him stream the announcement) but over the course of years I slowly see him changing due to the drama's that made him bitter about everything, like I've seen him post negative reaction videos him not having fun anymore and just consistently ragebaits, alot which is what atsu Asianguystreams and other ccs points alot on his character due to all the drama surrounding him or actively involved with him, I dunno if it's just the drama that changed his character but being paranoid over tiktok views calling him a map, and etc. that he makes content out of it, calling people shills, over obsession over twitter opinions, and even bad mouthing people for making business decisions, which I never knew this side of him till now.
I never even knew about the drama he got into in arknights cause I was late to the party I only saw the "I quit arknights" video and that was it, so I was always obscured over many things about his character until the first genshin drama started happening with zhongli, ganyu and etc.
tectone being involved consistently with drama my twitter and YouTube would notify me a lot about recent news and it's always related to tectone somehow or always connected back to him in some way which btw I don't follow the genshin communities or arknights communities at the time because I was always actively playing the two gacha's and fgo 💀 but it always piqued my curiosity why tectone always gets into drama that I started searching up drama videos about him, which got me seeing the more worse sides of him, like how he has a massive ego in wanting to correct people on his misinformation.
I didn't even knew about the dreamy drama or the CN drama's till someone in the facebook chat pointed out about it while I was asking them in a post why they hated tectone or why he's voltemorted in the gacha space, which I didn't knew he was that much of a persona, or has that big of a persona. clips of his character being taken out of context, or clips of him being egoistical seems to pop up a lot, Including the jinjinx tuner videos, where I saw right after he berates himself as he "dismantled their arguments" another was with soul, and that was whole nother can of worms to know about tbh.
Tectone is always a person I always look up as a person due to his personality as just being a big huggable bear, but honestly the more he spreads negativity in his videos about genshin the more I slowly drift away from his content, and even back then he was sub commenting on other content creators really rubbed me the wrong way tbh. but what really drew the line was how he acted when the drama between gooseegg and Asianguystream was, like I know Atsu is really horrible for many things and having a god complex and being holier then thou art, etc. and I could be wrong tbh, but I didn't knew much about him I just watch his videos on genshin that was pretty much it. but tectone acting immaturely in that livestream falling out is probably the last straw that made me stop being a viewer of him. And especially how tectone just openly believed gooseegg about the dms thing and it went and spiraled out of control him being really emotional and I couldn't even empatize with him because he did that to himself mostly, and tbh most of things Atsu has said about tectone while I preface this again I don't like Atsu's overall attitude has been right especially the debate mentality acting to refuse being wrong, and etc. him acting like he's done nothing wrong and etc. while he doesn't get into drama anymore, he refuses to acknowledge that he does have a part to play in the drama but he never acknowledges it. In fact in one of the soul videos proved to me how stubborn tectone can be when he wants to debate.
the recent star rail drama and wuthering about acheron and content creator server and wuthering waves drama has proven me that tectone has a large influence in the gacha sphere but what's really wrong is that he uses it for content and majority of the times he spreads out right falls information about these news, and reactionary content it's basically the formula herohei puts up tbh. but that creates so much drama when he does that like I know he probably doesn't do it on purpose but his ego is really something I cannot tolerate even as someone who's been into plentiful arguments and debates in the past.
it's just saddening to see him spiral down into this type of genre cc clout farming when he was actively making content on the games before now I can only see him as nothing more then but a former persona who he used to be due to the change in environment of the social media platform, and how it changed him as a person tbh.
I can't see him as the same anymore and I wanna know what your overall opinions on his character is, cause I know this sub isn't just an echo chamber and I know this sub definitely likes tectone I mean how can you not? he's a fun loving guy that loves to play games well that's what I used to think at least. I even remember when genshin sent him a plushies and made him smile.

2024.06.11 01:03 Affectionate-Box-592 10 Essential Video Editing Tips for Your YouTube Channel

Hey there, fellow YouTubers! Whether you're a newbie looking to kickstart your channel or a seasoned creator wanting to up your game, mastering video editing is crucial. It's not just about cutting and pasting clips; it's about telling a story, engaging your audience, and making your content look polished and professional. Here are ten essential video editing tips to help you create stunning videos for your YouTube channel.

10 Essential Video Editing Tips for Your YouTube Channel

1. Start with a Plan

Before you even open your editing software, plan your video. Outline your story, decide on the key points you want to cover, and think about the visuals you need. A well-thought-out plan will save you time during the editing process and ensure your video flows logically.
Pro Tip: Use a storyboard or a script to visualize your video. This will help you stay organized and focused.

2. Choose the Right Software

The right editing software can make a huge difference. If you're just starting, you might want to use free tools like iMovie or Windows Movie Maker. As you get more experienced, consider investing in more advanced software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
Pro Tip: Stick with one software and learn it inside out. The more familiar you are with your tools, the faster and better you'll edit.

3. Organize Your Footage

Before you start editing, organize your footage. Create folders for different types of content (e.g., raw footage, audio, images, b-roll) and label everything clearly. This will make it easier to find what you need and speed up the editing process.
Pro Tip: Use consistent naming conventions and metadata tags to keep everything in check.

4. Master the Art of Cutting

One of the most important skills in video editing is knowing where and how to cut your footage. Avoid long, boring shots and unnecessary filler. Keep your edits tight and focused to maintain viewer interest.
Pro Tip: Cut on action to create seamless transitions. This technique helps to keep the motion fluid and engaging.

5. Add Engaging Transitions

Transitions can add a professional touch to your videos. However, use them sparingly. Too many flashy transitions can distract from your content. Stick to simple, clean transitions like cuts, fades, and dissolves.
Pro Tip: Match your transitions to the mood and pace of your video. For instance, use quick cuts for a high-energy sequence and smooth fades for slower, more emotional moments.

6. Incorporate Music and Sound Effects

Music and sound effects can greatly enhance your video. Choose background music that complements your content and isn't too distracting. Sound effects can add emphasis and bring your video to life.
Pro Tip: Use royalty-free music and sound effects to avoid copyright issues. Websites like Epidemic Sound, Artlist, and YouTube's own audio library are great resources.

7. Use Text and Graphics Wisely

Text and graphics can help convey information and keep viewers engaged. Use them to highlight key points, add context, or introduce segments. However, keep them simple and readable.
Pro Tip: Stick to a consistent font and style throughout your video to maintain a cohesive look. Avoid overly flashy effects that can distract from your message.

8. Color Correction and Grading

Color correction and grading can make your video look more professional and visually appealing. Adjust the colors to make them more accurate and consistent. Color grading can add a specific mood or style to your video.
Pro Tip: Learn to use your editing software’s color correction tools. A simple adjustment can significantly improve the overall look of your video.

9. Keep Your Edits Simple

Sometimes, less is more. Avoid over-editing your videos with too many effects, transitions, or animations. Focus on clean, simple edits that enhance your content without overwhelming the viewer.
Pro Tip: Watch some of your favorite YouTube videos and pay attention to their editing style. Often, the most effective videos use simple, straightforward editing techniques.

10. Review and Refine Your Work

Before you hit the publish button, review your video thoroughly. Look for any mistakes or areas that can be improved. Watch it from a viewer's perspective and make necessary adjustments.
Pro Tip: Take a break before your final review. A fresh set of eyes can help you catch errors you might have missed initially. If possible, get feedback from friends or colleagues.

Final Thoughts

Video editing is an art form that requires practice and patience. By following these ten tips, you can improve your editing skills and create videos that stand out on YouTube. Remember, the key to great editing is to make your content engaging, professional, and true to your unique style.
Don’t be afraid to experiment and find what works best for you. The more you practice, the better you'll get. So, grab your footage, fire up your editing software, and start creating amazing content for your channel!

My current computer is a Macbook pro 13'' from 2019.
I am a digital artist who works non-stop 8+ hours a day. I mainly use the program clip studio paint; my documents often have 100s of layers. Moreover, I have preview and sometimes safari open for references. I wish to also use other programs like Photoshop and possible some 3D work in the future.
With my current computer, it can take up to 10 minutes just to flip the canvas; the computer fan always runs constantly and it distracts me. I don't mind some lag (ideally there is none or a few seconds worth), but this is too extreme.
On a side note, I play vanilla Minecraft occasionally. I would like the computer to be able to run Minecraft reasonably well.
Is Micro Center a computeelectronics retailer? If I researched correctly, I feel I am close enough to make a one-time trip to a physical store.
I was looking at a Mac Studio with a M2 max chip for $2,200 and came here to see if I can get something equally or more powerful for less.
I hope that it is not too loud because I find the constant loud fan on the MacBook pro distracting while I work. That said, noise won't be a deal breaker as long as the device doesn't overheat and is fast.
Nothing else I can think of at the moment. THANK YOU for anyone who helps out.

2024.06.11 00:37 verifypassword__ June 9th, 2024 - /r/AmericanDad: Dumb bitches like dumb things!

/AmericanDad

196,113 Smiths at home now for 13 years!

We've featured some cool shows recently, so I thought I'd take today as an opportunity to include the subreddit for a show I used to watch a lot and loved back in the day, and still catch on occasion: American Dad!
In case you aren't familiar with the show, American Dad! is one of Seth MacFarlane's animated sitcoms alongside the ever-popular Family Guy and the less-popular The Cleveland Show. Following the Smith family, American Dad is still going strong with 366 episodes and its 21st season on the way later this year. While it has yet to win an Annie or Emmy Award, that doesn't matter, because today, the show's subreddit, /AmericanDad wins Subreddit of the Day. (Clearly the greatest honour of all time.)
/AmericanDad is obviously all about American Dad. This can include art including tattoos, discussions about characters and their arcs, quotes from episodes, clips from episodes, memes, and anything else American Dad related.

Here is a taste of what you can find on /AmericanDad:
  1. caption this (564 upvotes, 56 comments)
  2. Negative klaus or Anti-Klaus?? (253 upvotes, 58 comments)
  3. American Dad is funnier then Family Guy (2287 upvotes, 240 comments)

2024.06.10 23:03 RJBadman Thinking of Switching from Windows - Distro Recs and Novice help?

Hello! I'm not best pleased with all this talk about MS building AI into their OS (so many acronyms) and I've been urged to try Linux. I dabbled very very slightly yeeears ago so I'm basically still a novice.
My ADHD is playing up so I'm just gonna bullet point it all for ease. :)
What I Use My PC For
My most used Windows programs
Other things I'm hoping for
I'm probably forgetting something also.

2024.06.10 21:49 Ok-Leg2876 Trying to recreate a specific early 2000's videogame aesthetic

Trying to recreate a specific early 2000's videogame aesthetic
Hello.
For a little bit of context, I've had a graphic tablet for about 2 years now. For most of that time, I've focused on trying to recreate my traditional art style in digital form. However, after I felt nostalgic for the .Hack series I decided to get my hands on the .Hack// G.U collection and ran into two of the pictures that I attached to this post (the ones that read "Community Forum at the top).
That re-awakened a desire that I thought long lost in me to try and recreate a particular aesthetic that was pretty common in a lot of games back in the early 2000's. I grew up with those kinds of games, and not being the richest fellow in the world, I often played a lot of online games too which is how I got exposed to Gunz, who in particular made me really appreciate the aesthetic, and I often looked up illustrations similar to the ones from that game just to stare at the pictures for hours on end.
However, I find myself completely lost in searching up relevant terms that approximate virtually anything resembling the topic. Which is why I am now resorting to asking people if they know if the kind of aesthetic in the attached pictures has a particular name I can search for, or even if any of you know the tools utilised to create artworks like this, names of any artists you can think of that draw similarly, or provide any tips at all. (If it helps, I use Clip Studio Paint EX to draw)
Any help is greatly appreciated.

2024.06.10 21:32 RevolutionaryRony DRAKE IS A VULTURE OF THE CULTURE WE LIVE IN.

Perhaps when we're at the end of capitalism, or in the wreckage of humanity itself, we'll ask ourselves "What were the biggest signs that art was dying?", and we'll remember Drake in union. He wanders between HipHop subgenres, not like a David Bowie trying to reassemble himself to the point of consolidating a new way of looking at himself; no, Drake only takes advantage of what gets likes and generates trends. If you want a rapper who loves to kill? He asks them to write a song in which he kills some nigga on a street corner. If people want to see a soft rapper who just wants to love and dance? He'll do his Tiktok trend. It gets to the point where you can hear on his last two albums where the songs repeat themselves or say something "relatable" just before a BEAT, just to generate another empty Tiktok trend.
But what disturbs me most about his persona is that at some point, amid the loss of Michael Jackson in our lives, he was one of the few artists who called himself the next MJ.
Michael Jackson was an artist who visited the favelas of Bahia and Rio de Janeiro, even against the will of the Brazilian state and police, just to record a video clip that showed reality while shouting an iconic song against violence in the peripheries, while shouting the names of X, MLK and Rosa Parks. Long before he was a trend on Tiktok, Michael Jackson was writing poems about the situation in Palestine. Long before the MetGala was what it is today, Michael Jackson was making half of his albums about environmental crises. Michael Jackson was hunted. He's had wild accusations about touching children, accusations that he didn't play around in a song, but that from the start he put his face on the line. The FBI searched his house and found no evidence. Children came to his defense. Psychologists exposed his weakness to the world, and all because of his political persona. Michael Jackson was killed, perhaps not literally, but intentionally, that was the media's idea when they mentioned his name. The only man, after Jesus, who had 2/3 of all humanity claiming to be his fan. Michael Jackson never joked about being black. Michael Jackson would die for his people. And Drake wouldn't even die for his son.

2024.06.10 21:23 DDoubleBlinDD Everyone's a Catgirl! Side Quest: Secondhand Thread

First Previous Next Volume 1 Volume 2 Volume 3 Volume 4 Patreon Newsletter
Cailu methodically cleaned the blood from his sword as he gazed at the fresh corpse of the Encroacher. Where he once found excitement in the hunt and the smallest shred of vengeance in spilling the blood of monsters, there was no emotion to be had. True neutrality.
The thrill of the kill had left him.
San Island’s oppressive humidity sucked the sweat from his skin; beads gathered and trailed down his face and back as if he had run the island’s perimeter a dozen times instead of slaying a few measly beasts. While the leather of his armor did little to keep him cool, it was a far cry from the full plate he was accustomed to—this hellscape’s climate was simply another punishment for his egregious mistakes.
Suzume stepped forward and knelt, poring over the beast’s body with her hunting knife. He’d met the [Hunter] in Kyrenia, the Port City he had…arrived in. If there was aught of value, she would find it. Her dark armor cinched her slender waist, and she rested her tail to her side. Her black hair fell over her toned ivory shoulders as she worked, reawakening an image of Fera’s shapely back in the morning sunlight.
The first time he had laid his eyes on the only woman that had ever mattered to him was still just as vivid and precious a memory to him as when it occurred. The tall trees of San’s forests warped and twisted into the spires and columns of Castle Lifort. Prince Aluxio’s fortieth birthday was a farce of a celebration for one so young. Cailu’s expectations were tempered, but etiquette required he make a showing. Fera lingered by a trophy case in the main hall, nursing her wine glass for every drop as her glittering gaze measured each token. When Cailu gained the courage to ask her thoughts, a slow smile spread across her face.
“Is a man only measured by the lives that he’s claimed?”
The illusion shattered when Suzume glanced over her shoulder. Dark, almond eyes studied Cailu’s face, and her lips pulled into a thin line. Her hands hovered just above the half-carved scales, hesitating. “Shall I step aside?” she asked.
“No. Continue your work,” Cailu snapped.
Suzume shrugged and returned her focus to the carve.
Cailu swallowed the memory, drinking the rising emotions threatening to overtake him like poison. He sheathed his sword before he summoned the iPaw. A fortnight spent in this wretched nightmare, and he still did not understand the inner workings of such a device. The sapphire-haired siren that called herself ‘Ai’ appeared.
“How may I help you, [User Cailu]?” Ai asked.
“What is my current ranking?”
Ai blinked. “I do not understand your question.”
Cailu frowned. It seemed this vixen enjoyed toying with him, though she pled constant naïveté. “Why force me to use a terminology that makes little sense?”
“Nyarlean language and terminology have been in existence for thousands of years, [User Cailu]. Approximately fifteen times longer than you have existed, if my research is correct,” Ai said. Her expression was blank, but a stern undertone brushed her words.
Ice trickled into Cailu’s veins. Too many years had he suffered spies in politics, eyes where they did not belong. “How would you know this?”
“That is not relevant, [User Cailu].” Ai pursed her lips. “Is there anything else I can assist you with?”
This was going nowhere. Anger melted the cold paranoia he had felt just seconds prior. “What is my current Level?” he snarled.
Suzume stood and turned to face him, pocketing her final treasure. The conversations between Cailu and the iPaw were somehow concealed from her, but his tone caught her feline ear. It twitched in his direction as she narrowed her eyes.
“Your current Base Level is 12. Your current Crusader Class Level is 2.”
Cailu’s brow furrowed. “Two? I have slaughtered hundreds of these…Encroachers since my transition.”
Ai shook her head. “If it is the three hundred and twenty-four zilthar you speak of, they are unfit for a Second Class.”
“Then how do I…” What was the correct term? “…Advance faster?”
“If you wish to increase your Level at a greater pace, you must find more challenging enemies. Or,” Ai vanished from the screen, “you will be generously rewarded for pursuing your second task in Nyarlea.”
For the third time since his arrival, the nauseating pink square returned, carrying its loathsome message. Consummate with five of these feral creatures referred to as catgirls. He glanced over the top of the iPaw at Suzume. She watched in silent curiosity, knowing better than to speak while he was occupied. Her face was pleasant enough, but she was little more than a means to an end—a second sword for him to wield. There was little else he could see her as, let alone…
Ai interrupted his thoughts. “Five successful pairings with catgirls will net you 1 Base Level and 1 Class Level. Many men have accomplished this inside of three days,” she explained over the display. “Incidentally, this is also the number of days you have spent hunting zilthar.” The square vanished, and Ai reappeared. “It is your decision.”
His gloved grip tightened around the iPaw. The strange material was thin, but it held firm. “You say this is my ‘second task’ as if this world’s next generation falls upon me.”
Was she smiling? “I thought I had made that abundantly clear. It does fall to you, [User Cailu].”
“And if I decline?”
“Such a decision would be in violation of Nyarlean Law. Should a man be reported missing or abstaining from his duties, the Queen’s Guard would be summoned to recall and rehabilitate him.”
A low growl vibrated in Cailu’s throat. “‘Rehabilitate’?”
Ai nodded, but no further explanation was offered.
“Where can I find more powerful enemies?”
Ai shook her head. “Nyarlea is for you to explore, [User Cailu]. Encroachers move and graze depending on food and water availability. You may wish to ask your Party.”
Dozens of furious retorts took their time on his tongue. What was this woman’s use? Why was he cursed to this existence? But none of them would gain him ground. “That will be all.”
“As you wish, [User Cailu].”
Suzume crossed her arms over her chest and watched the iPaw vanish from Cailu’s hands. “You seem distraught.”
Cailu forced back a laugh. What would this creature know of being ‘distraught’? Everything that mattered was lost. Fera, Heiki, his home, his companions. Betrayal’s venomous blade had stolen it away without a second thought. “Where can I find beasts that present a higher challenge?”
Suzume studied the Encroacher’s blood embedded into her fingernails. “There are at least three Defiled on the outskirts of Shulan. They destroyed hundreds of acres of farmland and went into hiding.”
“Defiled?” Cailu tried to recall if Suzume or Ai had mentioned the term before. Possibly, but their information was thin and constantly veiled with self-conceit. It seemed he was just as much of a tool to them as they were to him.
“The Defiled are monstrous, far more powerful than any Encroacher,” Suzume explained with a sigh that belayed repetition. “However, as I’ve mentioned before, if you wish to take on a Defiled, you will need a competent healer.”
“A healer would insinuate that I take a blow from this creature.”
Suzume’s eyes widened by a fraction, and she locked his gaze. “Or me, Cailu. If either one of us are wounded by a Defiled, it could mean a quick death without a healer.”
Cailu recalled the two wars in which he’d been a participant; one as a soldier, the second as first captain. Healers were the last to be deployed in areas where most of the fighting had died down. They trailed behind and offered little in the way of offensive expertise or assistance on the front lines. “Can we not seek a healer when we are through?”
Her frown deepened. “You’ve commanded my respect since you arrived, Cailu, but now I wish to speak freely.”
Cailu bristled with her disregard for his family name and standard honorific. Perhaps it was time to find a more suitable member for his Party. “Then speak.”
“The last man on San Island’s inaction nearly brought us to ruin. The Queen’s Guard spared a handful of soldiers and only managed to kill one of the many Defiled plaguing Shulan before they were recalled to Ronona.”
“The previous man was a coward, then. I fail to see how this relates to me.”
Her hands balled into fists at her side. “Inaction and practiced ignorance are one and the same.”
Cailu’s brow furrowed, and the heat of his anger returned. “You tread too far—”
“No. Not far enough.” Suzume sliced a hand through the air, cutting his words short. “If you want to charge ahead and get yourself killed, that is your choice. Maybe the next man will be able to fulfill his duties to Nyarlea. But cut me free from your Party if my advice means nothing to you. I will not die at the hands of a fool.”
He snatched her wrist and snapped her forward, forcing her into a proximity reserved for lovers and men he put to death. “The only fool in this exchange is you, Suzume. You know nothing of what I’m capable of.”
“I’ve watched you kill hundreds of Encroachers and feel nothing,” she snarled. “You wear the expression of one who’s put thousands to death. Tell me, Cailu, how many lives have you saved?”
Fera’s voice echoed in his ears. It was the same question she’d asked him so long ago in Castle Lifort’s great hall with that easy, knowing smile.
He spat a curse and shoved Suzume away. She stumbled backward, her boot catching on the Encroacher’s corpse and sending her to the ground with a yelp. He watched in silence as she gathered herself and rose to her feet.
“Saoirse’s hymns proclaim that men are to be placed beside the goddess herself.” She sneered and wiped her palms across her thighs. “But Finn was a coward, and you’re more of a monster than the roaches, Cailu. Who will Saoirse bring us next, I wonder?”
“Leave, Suzume,” Cailu snarled. “Crawl back to Kyrenia and shovel horse shit until the end of your days.”
“Gladly.” Suzume brushed her hair away from her face, turned on her heel, and vanished between the trees.
How many lives have you saved?
Cailu bellowed, drew his sword from its scabbard, and buried the blade between the remaining scales of the Encroacher’s corpse.
Three more days it took to travel alone to Shulan, and Cailu dispatched everything in his path.
Well. Almost everything.
When he came face-to-face with his first Defiled, Cailu realized with a bitter rage that Suzume had been right. Fighting them on his own would earn him a quick death.
The enormous monster had dozens of human arms attached to a long, insect-like body. It screamed in a language Cailu could somehow understand, chilling him to the bone. Its speed was otherworldly, and when it parted its razor-sharp mandibles, it blew fire. He’d managed to wound it enough to escape, but not before it bit a sizeable chunk from his thigh.
And so, he limped past the gates of Shulan, ignoring the guards offering to find him assistance. Inside were thousands of curious catgirls, stopping in their tracks to watch him. Three tried to approach, but one sharp glance in their direction was enough to hold them at bay.
“Did you kill it? The stonoga?” a voice asked from his left. He glanced over his shoulder at a silver-haired catgirl with golden eyes. Her dark skin was a stark contrast to the tendrils pulled away from her face into a tight bun at the base of her neck.
Cailu grunted and continued walking. He did not have the time nor the energy for a conversation filled with unfamiliar colloquialisms.
She wrinkled her nose and fell into step with his limped gait. “The stonoga. The Defiled that sampled your leg. I’d recognize that wound anywhere.”
“No. It still lives,” he replied, not bothering to meet her gaze.
“Damn it,” she cursed softly. She fell into a contemplative silence, watching Cailu walk while she matched his pace. Just before he could ask the cretin what she wanted, she spoke. “I can heal your leg for free if you allow me to join you in hunting it.”
“I have the coin to pay for a healer,” he snapped.
“Most of the girls in Shulan don’t know how to extract the stonoga’s venom from a wound. Go somewhere else, and you’re likely to lose your leg.”
Was this a jest? How many of these simpletons would parade their knowledge over him like monarchs?
She skipped ahead and stopped in front of him, barring his path. “You don’t have to keep me in your Party. Just this one task. That Defiled killed my daughter.”
Cailu hesitated and the pain in his leg flickered with the tightening of his chest. Heiki’s elated squeals echoed in his ears, and he hissed in a breath.
No. What did it matter if this creature’s offspring had suffered such a fate? “I—”
“Look. Let me fix your leg, and then you can decide.” She held up a hand. “You’re going to pass out in the street if I don’t, and that won’t help anyone.”
Cailu frowned. Ignoring Suzume’s advice had brought him here. As much as he was loathe to admit it, he needed this woman’s assistance. “Fine.”
A tiny smile of relief twitched at the corners of her mouth and warmed her gaze. “Good. I’m Talia.”
“Cailu Raloquen, first of his name,” Cailu replied.
“Quite the title, Cailu. Come on.” She waved a hand and led him deeper into the crowd.
Cailu could not find the motivation to retort against her informality. He sighed and followed her, giving no response to the stares and whispers that surrounded him.
“Is that the new man?”
“He’s so handsome—”
“Look at his ears!”
“And he looks so much older than Finn.”
“Good. We don’t need another man hiding away.”
He hated gossip. Whether it was within the royal courts or between his new recruits. But there was little he could do for it now beyond ignore it.
“In here.” Talia turned left and led him inside one of the modest dwellings lining the streets.
It took a moment for his eyes to adjust as she lit the various lanterns inside the common room. As she moved to the sink on the back wall, Cailu swept his gaze over her home.
It was small. Very small. The entire building would have easily fit inside two bedrooms of Cailu and Fera’s west wing, and the main room contained very few pieces of furniture. A circular table with two wooden chairs was placed in the kitchen area, and cushions were strewn around the front room in place of a settee. On the walls hung varying sizes of parchment, covered in colored paints depicting childish versions of buildings, catgirls, and Encroachers.
Daddy! I drew a pukwudgie! Heiki beamed over her newest painting.
“They’re all I have left of Kasi,” Talia murmured. She moved to stand next to Cailu with a bowl in one hand and a rolled cloth in the other. She nodded to a piece on the far left. “That one’s my favorite.” Two figures stood side by side, clasping hands. “It’s supposed to be us.”
Cailu nodded. Exhaustion was making him sentimental. He needed to rest.
“I’m sorry. I’m rambling. Please, have a seat.” She gestured toward the table, and Cailu complied, glad to take one of the wooden chairs. If he took a seat on the floor, it was likely he wouldn’t stand back up.
Talia knelt beside him, unrolling the cloth to reveal a selection of metal instruments. “I’ll need to cut more of your trousers away, but I have a friend who can make you a new pair.”
Cailu frowned. “At an exorbitant price, is it?”
She pulled a sharp blade from her kit with a chuckle. “You aren’t very trusting, are you?”
Cailu grunted, then hissed when she pulled the fabric from the wound. The burning was renewed, and sweat beaded along his forehead.
“You may have to worry about that on Ichi Island, but San has always given men a steep discount on their wares,” she explained as she worked.
“Why Ichi?” Cailu had learned of the other islands and the capital of Nyarlothep from Ai but knew very little beyond their names and locations.
“The new man there…” Talia looked up at Cailu’s face, then pursed her lips and selected another tool. “No, pardon me. I should not speak ill of him.”
As she patted away the blood and used a second implement to draw a purple liquid from his skin, Cailu pushed the issue to stay awake. This cursed [Energy] pool threatened to empty the more he bit back the pain. “Are your opinions of this man biased, then?”
Talia smiled. “Maybe. Ichi’s thrived under the reign of one woman for over a decade. The changes this new man has made are…drastic. I moved here with Kasi just over a month ago.” Her silver, feline ears flattened against her head. “But it may have been better if we stayed.”
“You could not have foreseen—” Cailu stopped himself. Was he truly trying to comfort this stranger? He hissed as she dribbled a new tonic over his thigh. It added a sharp throb to the already burning wound.
“I know. But thank you,” Talia whispered, then took a deep breath. “Alright, now I need to concentrate.”
Were you not concentrating before? Cailu watched as she framed the wound with both hands and bowed her head.
“Saoirse, please grant me a modicum of your power and allow me to heal your chosen. I beseech you,” Talia prayed.
A warm, white glow emanated from her fingers, surrounding the tattered skin on Cailu’s leg. The rent flesh twitched and moved, growing over the open bite as if it had come alive. Cailu’s breath caught. What witchcraft was this? A power like this was reserved for the gods alone, not insolent creatures.
“What are you doing?” he growled.
“Helping you.” Talia glanced up, knitting her brow in confusion. Her fingers dimmed. “I’m a [Priest], Cailu. A healer.” Her lips parted, and understanding dawned on her face. “Saoirse just delivered you, didn’t she?”
“I beg your pardon?” Was this goddess a tangible being? He did not recall an ushering from a catgirl into this world. Only a swift death at the hands of Prince Maël and opening his eyes on San Island.
“How long have you been on San Island?”
“Three days more than a fortnight,” Cailu replied. When she cocked her head and waited, he sighed. “Seventeen days.”
Talia nodded, then looked back at the wound and refocused as she spoke. The light returned to her hands. “Many Classes use their [Myana Points] gifted by Saoirse for magic. Like healing, for example. But others use it for offensive Spells.”
Why? Why was there so much to learn in this world? Why did Ai shirk her duties as an apparent guide? “I see.”
“I’m rambling again. Sorry.” She lifted her hands and reached for a fresh roll of bandages. “We can discuss this later if you’d like. Or,” she wrapped the bandages around his thigh and leaned back on the balls of her feet, “you’re free to leave when you’re feeling better.”
Cailu inspected her work. The pain had dulled significantly, and the bleeding had stopped at last. Whatever dark forces she had called upon, they had helped, and her knowledge of field medicine was impressive. “Thank you, Talia.”
A pink hue touched her cheeks, and she looked away. “You’re welcome.” She stood and cleaned her bowl and tools from the floor. “I’ll…go run you a bath and make us something to eat.”
For the briefest of moments, touches of familiarity painted the scene—a warm home, a loving family, a safe abode. However, when Talia turned and disappeared down the hallway, her slender tail flicked back and forth between her ankles, splintering any fancies of comfort.
This was not home. He would never be home again.
A wound that should have taken a week to heal mended over the next two days. Talia’s magic was formidable, indeed, and made Cailu reconsider Suzume’s demand for a healer.
He took the time to explore more of Shulan, taking a mental inventory of shops and landmarks, and introducing himself to the Guild Hall. Within a few conversations, he’d learned that Finn’s disappearance had caused significant damage to San Island’s farms, grown the Defiled threat, hurt their population, and spread the island’s warriors thin amongst the cities. One incompetent man’s choices brought ruin to so many.
The thrill of the hunt may have evaporated, but the tiniest spark of something urged Cailu to press on. To rebuild.
Reshape this world.
The tailor Talia had suggested was able to craft him a new pair of trousers in a day’s time and didn’t empty his [Cat Pack]—a ridiculous name for a satchel, enchanted or not—of Bells. On the fourth day staying with Talia, he readied a hefty pouch of coin for her assistance and hospitality and joined her for breakfast.
“I want you to take this,” Cailu said, setting the pouch at the center of the table. “I depart for Ichi tomorrow.”
Talia studied the sizable bag and then crossed her arms. “Ichi?”
Cailu nodded. “I believe if the men work together, then purging Defiled threats and rebuilding cities will be more manageable.” He’d found himself more at ease with speaking to Talia over the last days. She was open with her thoughts and answered his questions without the dark undertones he recognized in Ai and Suzume.
“What about the stonoga?”
“I will find a second capable fighter to join us, and we will dispatch it upon my return.” Cailu raised a hand before she could speak. “In my last encounter, I left it with significant wounds. Shulan will be safe.”
Talia chewed her lower lip, then pushed the pouch toward Cailu. “I offered to help you for free, remember? You don’t owe me anything.”
He left the pouch on the table and studied her. Silver rings adorned her ears, and a jade clip held her hair away from her soft face. For what she was, Talia was beautiful. And yet, he still could not find the familiar stir he’d only felt once in his two hundred years.
She blushed. “Why are you staring at me like that?”
How am I supposed to do this, Fera? Ai had called it his second duty. But everything about it broke every sacred vow he’d made in his prior life. “I wonder if you could do me one last favor?” He forced the words out before he could stop them.
Talia tilted her head to the side, and her ears perked forward. “Hm?”
Cailu stood and took Talia’s hand, pulling her to stand with him. He cupped her face in one hand and searched her curious gaze. Then he kissed her.
Gods, forgive me.
Despite the night’s exertions, Cailu couldn’t sleep.
Talia had her arms around his waist, her naked chest pressed against his. Her tail was wrapped around his calf, and her breathing was slow and steady. Cailu watched the moon’s journey across the starry sky, allowing the whirlwind of emotions that plagued him to each take their time on his heart. Betrayal, disgust, frustration, hopelessness. Each inhale was a stab to his heart; his exhales a prayer for forgiveness.
Would this ever grow easier?
He pictured telling Heiki about her cat-eared siblings. She would squeal in disbelief and paint them all in her image.
And Fera… What would she say?
Cailu looked at Talia sleeping soundly next to him. Another child. Just one of five he needed to help create to gain another Level.
Four more…
This world was not his own. He would not have a gentle hand in raising his children—kittens, they called them. The Guild Hall touted nyannies, and many women seemed to enjoy raising their own. A man must fight, protect, procreate.
Fatherhood carried a very different meaning in Nyarlea.
When the first hints of orange appeared on the horizon, Cailu carefully untangled himself from Talia and slid from her bed. He dressed in silence and gathered his things but left the Bells on the table.
Be well, Talia.
Cailu closed the door and marched down the empty streets of Shulan. He would slay the stonoga with a Party of his own, but Talia would not be a part of it. His daughter would not be part of it.
And he would not be part of her.

2024.06.10 20:47 Revo_Veneno The best art software (Clip Studio Paint) on your Android tablet for free

I used to be a paying user where I bought the software until they stopped support for version 1 and moved to a subscription model and declined the transition of my license to an Android tablet. Then I pledged to never give this company one more cent. In my mind, I already paid for the software and should be able to use it anywhere I want.
So with my supervillain backstory of the way, let's get to cracking the damn thing.
So what you do is simple:
  1. Download the latest version of Lucky patcher and clip studio 1.7.10
  2. Patch the clip studio with a multipatch, remove inapp emulation and license verification.
  3. On the options, throw the book at it. Take every box you can tick, auto mode dex, auto mode inverse, extreme mode, remove dependencies, remove checksum, signature verification killer, fake APK archive, support patch for LVL and an app emulation, reassembly dex... Do not use update patch in already patched application
  4. Patch it, it should check for pattern successes, it should be about half green.
  5. Install the app, and upon launching, if it is not showing "try clip studio or buy license" but just a login screen, skip login and the rest of the app should just work. If it doesn't, uninstall your hacked app and try again. There is a 50-50 chance of it working and retrying helps. I failed two times before it just worked
  6. (Optional) Somehow for me, you need to keep your VPN on before launching the software. I think I might have gotten flagged by something but the VPN has been a viable workaround.
What I did last time lasted me two and a half years, I am sure if I use a proxy mode instead of reassembly dex mode for inapp emulation it will work indefinitely, but if anyone is willing to try that, be my guest, I am not willing to take the risk of getting my device flagged or something.
