Hello po, just wanted to get some recommendations from this sub. I'm planning to upgrade my phone soon (currently Samsung A30s), will keep it as backup phone for my banking apps instead.

Tired of this shit. *Been* tired of it for a long time. Being... well, partaking in this act seems to take control of my mind, and alter my thoughts and judgements. pro-West party leader says they met PM Pashinyan and discussed a referendum to solidify Armenia's shift to EU

KHZMALYAN (European Party of Armenia): The referendum is our suggestion and demand. We presented it to Pashinyan and expect a response within a reasonable timeframe. We advised making a public statement soon. A referendum would also make Pashinyan's job easier by allowing the people's will to decide Armenia's direction.
REPORTER: How did Pashinyan respond?
KHZMALYAN: He suggested the meeting be held in a closed format so I can't reveal all details. We hope that our voice, our offer, our demand, was heard. If we do not receive a positive response, we will take measures by employing the same methods currently used by anti-European forces [the ongoing protests led by pro-Russian ex-regime]. We will take to the streets and demand a referendum for Eurointegration if necessary.
REPORTER: How long are you ready to wait before taking action?
KHZMALYAN: A few months. Georgia will hold parliamentary elections in October, and Moldova will hold a similar Eurointegration referendum - also in October. The U.S. will hold presidential elections in November which will be important for Armenia's future. Even if the worst scenario unfolds in all three countries, Armenia must stand firm and not take a step back. Armenia could become the leader in democracy in all of Eastern Europe if you consider the situation in Georgia, Hungary, and Slovakia [pro-Russia populist leader]. Armenia could receive an unprecedented level of assistance from Europe under those circumstances.
REPORTER: Did Pashinyan say he plans to leave CSTO?
KHZMALYAN: We did not demand specific dates but we urged him to complete all these processes this year, preferably by November.
REPORTER: Did Pashinyan agree?
KHZMALYAN: The participants of the meeting are under the impression that we were able to present convincing arguments but time will show what actions he takes. The government functions very poorly but nevertheless, they are doing something, they are taking steps.
REPORTER: On May 9, Bagrat Galstanyan gave Pashinyan 1 hour to resign but it's May 21 and he is still here. Why wasn't the opposition able to remove him?
KHZMALYAN: The 3 former presidents and their surrogate forces, backed by 30 years of power, were unable to bring forward a figurehead, a single ideology, that could win the hearts of the people. They used various political technologies, they switched between black and white robes, and they extended the 1 hour to 7 days, but none of that helped because the Armenian people hate them more than they hate Nikol Pashinyan.
REPORTER: You used to be a lot harsher on Pashinyan but something appears to have changed in your tone after your recent meeting with him. What is the reason?
KHZMALYAN: We were able to present our demands and the timelines to accomplish them. Unlike the archbishop and the former regimes surrounding him, we did not give "one hour" for Pashinyan to accept our demands; we did not make ultimatums. We believe the current government is carrying out and will carry out the will of the people to overcome the status of a Russian colony and join the ranks of free nations. We did and do see steps [taken by the government] towards this; we cannot ignore this. We saw the Strassbourg, but also Moscow. We saw the [April 5 meeting in] Brussels, but also [the recent meeting between FMs in] Almaty. We are told this is an attempt to "balance" and we understand where they are coming from, but our factions speak on behalf of over 60% of Armenians who view Russia's policies as deadly for Armenia. We expect concrete actions and we have formed a platform to continue this work; there will be petitions and other actions from us. We are ready to assist Pashinyan, who may be constrained due to ongoing negotiations, by being the public voice and saying the things he cannot say. We will continue to work, to pressure, to influence, to demand. Our meetings also continue abroad. We will press on until we reach our goal - the Eurointegration of Armenia. //

Q&A with ruling party MP Vahagn Alexanyan about the ongoing protests led by pro-Russian opposition

REPORTER: You continue to criticize the "holy movement"...
ALEXANYAN: The what now?
REPORTER: ... the "holy movement", by calling it a "pagan" movement. What is the ruling party's stance and do you discuss this internally?
ALEXANYAN: Of course we do, although I don't think Kocharyan's decision to name this movement "holy" is helping them. It's comical.
REPORTER: Do you have proof that Bagrat srbazan is [tied with Kocharyan]?
ALEXANYAN: Bagrat Galstanyan is surrounded by the entire political team of Robert Koharyan, he was a member of Kocharyan's 2022 protests and gave similar speeches he gives today, he received a praise from Russian propagandists, and he was named by a Russian propagandist Aram Gabrielyanov as a potential candidate for a new protest movement just a few months prior to these events, so it's beyond reasonable doubt that Bagrat Galstanyan is part of Kocharyan's team.
REPORTER: You were earlier accusing Galstanyan of being a Russian agent, and now Kocharyan's agent?
ALEXANYAN: Same thing.
REPORTER: The opposition gathered many thousands of supporters on May 9. What does the size of the crowd indicate?
ALEXANYAN: It was similar to Kocharyan's final rally before the 2021 elections. And?
REPORTER: The opposition created a video of "Pashinyan's lies" and broken promises. Will you respond?
ALEXANYAN: The clip itself is a lie and manipulation. For example, one of the supposed lies was Pashinyan's promise of an amnesty for overdue fines and penalties. You are a journalist, you tell me, was there an amnesty or not?
REPORTER: Pashinyan had also said that POWs could wait "just a few more months" and that he wouldn't "sacrifice Armenia's sovereignty" in exchange for bringing them back sooner. Why aren't they back?
ALEXANYAN: Dozens of POWs returned home in December, and efforts continue to bring back the rest. Literally 1-2 days before the POWs' return, the opposition claimed that the POWs were "forgotten" by the government. "Ոչ մի բան չեք անում:"
REPORTER: What about the Nagorno-Karabakh leadership?
ALEXANYAN: There are efforts to return them as well.
REPORTER: Why did the police form a wall to block entry to village Kirants [for nonresidents]?
ALEXANYAN: I think the NSS said they had to take action to prevent interference with the border work. From what I can tell, the protest leader himself went there yesterday and returned only 15 minutes later so there wasn't a big desire to stay there apparently.
REPORTER: They plan to hold a big rally on May 26 where they might nominate Bagrat srbazan as the PM's candidate to replace Pashinyan.
ALEXANYAN: Why not go straight for [alleged narco baron] Mihran Poghosyan [who publicly praised the protests]?
REPORTER: There appears to be a consensus around Bagrat srbazan after a meeting between several forces.
ALEXANYAN: Consensus minus one, where "minus one" is the people. Or to be more precise, "minus two", because the Constitution also prohibits Bagrat from serving as a prime minister. Congratulations on an initiative that's dead on arrival. It's absurd. They suggested replacing the Constitution to allow a dual citizen to serve as PM. Okay... To get Canadian citizenship you have to take an oath to serve the best interests of Canada. To allow dual citizens to serve as PM in Armenia we have to accept for the PM to have loyalty towards another state. The alternative is for the candidate [Bagrat] to admit that his word [oath to Canada] wasn't worth a dime. Երևի մատերը խաչ արած ա երդվել։
REPORTER: But don't you think you are manipulating because Galstanyan received Canadian citizenship just to be able to serve in the church in Canada? He didn't go there to live or conduct business.
ALEXANYAN: It doesn't matter why he went to Canada. He is a citizen of Canada and took an oath. Even religious leaders with dual citizenship cannot become prime ministers. I don't have an issue with him being a dual citizen, but it limits his office options. He still hasn't renounced his Canadian citizenship even after all these talks about a possible nomination.
REPORTER: Galstanyan said he is ready to renounce it as soon as there is a need for it.
ALEXANYAN: In other words, he seeks "guarantees" that he will be the candidate in order to renounce it?

Instead of threatening us with taxes, they must think about how they plan to return our properties, fully renovated and ready for service.

Armenia's Constitutional Court has a vacant seat. Pro-Russian opposition criticizes Pashinyan's ruling party for favoring a "George Soros-linked" judge who worked for U.S. State Department.

A Serj-era judge is leaving the Constitutional Court after receiving a job offer elsewhere so one seat is vacant. It is the judiciary's turn to nominate a CC judge, so hundreds of judges recently held a meeting and voted for Judge Balayan as their candidate. Balayan's father was a CC judge during Kocharyan's tenure. He was accused in the Wikileaks report of having inappropriate deals with President Kocharyan. Pashinyan's ruling party did not vote to approve Balayan. This led to a second gathering of hundreds of judges where they voted to nominate Judge Khachaturyan as their candidate. The parliament summoned him for Q&A on Tuesday.

How will this record impact his work at CC?
JUDICIARY REP: I presented parts of his professional activities available on the court's public platforms. You can ask the candidate directly.
OPPOSITION MP: The Soros Foundation publicly listed him as a member so I don't understand why it's being hidden now. In your opinion, how will his work at the Soros Foundation affect his impartiality?
JUDICIARY REP: The majority of judges chose him and it's up to Parliament whether to confirm or reject.
RULING MP: Was the voting held in a closed session or can you see how each judge voted?
JUDICIARY REP: It's a closed format. My duty here is to present the candidate. [basically, leave me alone I'm just doing my job]
RULING MP: Why not make the court voting and internal discussions more transparent for the public to see so we will have fewer conspiracy theories on why one judge was preferred over the other?
JUDICIARY REP: I share the view that it needs to be as public as possible but the majority of judges voted to keep the session closed to the press.
RULING MP: Just because the discussions and the vote were behind closed doors that doesn't mean it was anti-democratic, but still, it's better to publicize the process. We hope to see a change in this approach.
JUDICIARY REP: The ballot casting will always be secret and I think that's the right approach in order to allow judges to express themselves without constraints, but I agree that the discussions and speeches should be public. Either way whatever we discuss behind closed doors always reaches the press so in practice there isn't really a major transparency issue there.
CANDIDATE KHACHATURYAN: First, every part of my biography has always been public and part of public discussions. Second, I have always voted in favor of making internal discussions open to the press; it's the best way to avoid incorrect assumptions. Full speech here.
OPPOSITION MP: Congratulations. The ruling party intends to approve your candidacy just as they voted for you in the past for other positions. In all of those instances, you didn't mention your work at the Сорос Foundation. Now, a very interesting coincidence [drumroll... are you guys ready for this bombshell?], during the same time while you worked at Сорос foundation, in 2006-2013, you were also a U.S. Embassy employee [got 'em]. //

CANDIDATE KHACHATURYAN: I was not an "employee" at the Soros Foundations. Other famous figures have served on the Board [mentions a famous doctor]. Everyone who was part of the Board had duties but it was not really an "employment". As for my simultaneous work with the U.S. Justice Department, there was no conflict with my membership or presidency at the Board because the latter was fully a public activity and we were only given a symbolic sum to compensate for our expenses; we are talking about less than $100/mo. I will let you be the judge regarding an agent of influence. There is a lot that's missing from my biography that read here [lists some boring constitutional research work, etc.].
OPPOSITION MP: You keep being "promoted" by the ruling party without having the chance to finish your terms. The longest job you've ever held was at the Сорос Foundation - 8 years. The brother of the head of the Anti-Corruption Committee, who is about to join the CC, cannot be impartial. Again, what guarantees can you present that you are not a [Western] agent?
CANDIDATE KHACHATURYAN: Your expectation for guarantees stems from the assumption that the [Open Society Foundations] were engaged in activities other than the ones they were actually engaged in. I won't present any "guarantees" because there is no "threat" to begin with. As I've said, that part of my biography has always been discussed publicly and the activities were public and covered by the press.
RULING MP: In your speech you spoke about the judiciary in the U.S. and brought examples. The U.S. doesn't have a Constitutional Court. Don't you think we should also merge the Constitutional and [Cassations Court] with the upcoming referendum to have one Supreme Court with corresponding chambers?
CANDIDATE KHACHATURYAN: I support having one unified body like in the U.S., or clarifying the duties to prevent each body from interfering with the other. Lengthy answer.
OPPOSITION MP: A person [in Kirants] received permission [from USSR] to build a house and live in it. Then the [Armenian] government told him there was a mistake [after the clarification of borders]. Some 50 years after this incident, what would your verdict be in this case?
CANDIDATE KHACHATURYAN: I understand the context. This issue is the task of the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister and we cannot interfere in each other's institutions. I assume there will be a peace agreement eventually that will be sent to the Constitutional Court for examination, therefore I will refrain from making prejudgments now in order to be allowed to take part in future processes.

anti-corruption: Armenian authorities conclude that luxury Dubai property belonging to former regime MP's relative was not obtained illegally by him therefore will not be sized as part of an asset forfeiture case

Mher Sedrakyan (Tokhmakhi Mher) is a Serj-era MP whose family is going through an asset forfeiture case worth ֏7.5 billion ($19.3 million) that includes 22 real estate properties, cars, and company shares registered under his name and the names of immediate family members.
Additionally, investigative journalists recently found a luxury property in Dubai registered under the ex-MP's relative. Authorities have concluded that he is not the true ownebeneficiary of this Dubai apartment, therefore it won't be seized.

i’m gonna try to make a long story short but i’m happy to elaborate on any details.
for about two months (more or less), i let a woman live in my house rent free. she asked me for money every single day under the pretense that she would pay me back.
we never signed a contract or anything. the only evidence i have that she owes me money is her texting me screenshots of the calculator app with the total. my only other evidence is the following text exchange: “if you don’t pay me back i will take you to court.” her: “okay love bug no worries i understand”.
i am 97% sure that i violated the terms of my lease by having her live with me, i rent out a single room in a townhouse. so, i am not trying to recoup rent money.
HOWEVER. she also stole some stuff from me that she is now refusing to give back. she won’t answer the phone. i had the police escort me to her house, and she pretended not to be home. they told me that now, i have to take her to court, and bring receipts for things i have them for.
what do i do? i am broke as fuck, i can’t afford to get a lawyer for civil court. i’ve accepted that i’ll probably never get my money back (is it even possible?), but she stole items that have sentimental value and i cannot afford to replace. can i summon her without a lawyer? is it even worth trying? can’t she just pretend that all of it has been hers to begin with, except for the ones i have receipts for? the item i want back most, i DONT have a receipt for.

Hi,
I was renting a car for about two weeks. Due to a weird amount of miscommunication* the host was instructed to retrieve the car and apparently was authorized by turo to take my belongings out of his car and into his house. The car was packed to go on a trip in a few hours so the items included one of my documents, a backup banking card, some medication I take regularly and regular stuff you take on family trips.
When we found out what happened - literally hours after the host retrieved the car, i couldn’t get a hold of him. Eventually he replied and he said he would send the items by post. As I live just a few blocks away from him, I walked over to his house (with his permission).
The host was very aggressive towards me - he shouted at me and called me names both face to face and in the turo chat. I was crying and shaking for the remainder of the day.
I managed to get most of my stuff back (a few items are missing and a few were damaged as he put everything in a box including a day-old a half-drank coffee over an expensive jacket and a sleeping bag that was ready for my kid in the backseat). Also in the time he was in possession of my baking card, it got mysteriously suspended by my bank. Could be a coincidence - although it’s a backup card that has no money on it and I never use it 🤷🏻‍♀️
Now, I reported this entire situation to turo support team right away and they went from „we will call the police, you stole the car” emails (that were actually ending up in my spam) to being completely mia.
My question is - are hosts allowed to take your belongings out of the car and store them in their house? Shouldn’t the police have been called to at least secure my documents and the bank card? Is turo ok with hosts being this aggressive towards guests?

*Just a big of background on the miscommunication for those interested:
I asked the host to extend it for a few days. This was the second time I was extending it and the first time went smoothly, so when I got a message or two from the host in his native language (which I don’t understand and we always communicated in English) I assumed it was just a standard notification from the app or something.
I have also let the host know several days prior that the app is glitchy and I’m not getting all of his messages.
Turns out the host didn’t extend the reservation and turo tried to contact me (although I had no missed calls and their emails ended in spam)

I'm struggling to figure out what's causing the following issue and would love your input on how I might rectify it.
I have a 65"Samsung S90C OLED running the most current 1410 firmware. Using a certified HDMI 2.1 cable plugged into the eARC (HDMI 3 on the tv) it is connected to a Denon AVR-S760H receiver that supports Atmos etc up to a 7.2 configuration. I am running a 5.1.2 configuration speaker wise. I also have a PS5 plugged into the AVR, also using a 2,1 certified HDMI cable.
The TV has every setting enabled that should result in it passing an Atmos signal to the receiver when one is present. The receiver is fully setup to receive and process an Atmos signal. When I use the PS5 for movies (UHD Blu Ray or streaming) the receiver will correctly decode the audio and when Atmos is available the receiver shows Atmos on the panel and in the app as being received and output along with all the relevant speakers.
However... when I stream with any, and I mean any, app built directly into the TV itself the receiver always only shows a 5.1 PCM signal being received and it uses a Dolby Surround codec with no option to switch to Atmos. The receiver doesn't show any Atmos metadata being received from the TV regardless of the streaming program I use. All the streaming services are the premium paid tiers that should have the best available resolution and audio formats. All of the shows I'm using to test list Dolby Atmos as the audio codec of choice and yet I can't get it to send it as such and the receiver always defaults to just Dolby Surround.
I fully realize the lossy version of Atmos that streaming services use is lackluster at best and I'm much better off using UHD Blu Rays but I'd still like it to work as advertised.
I've thought it could be one of two things:

1. The TV doesn't actually pass Dolby Atmos and actually only sends a 5.1 PCM signal. The Dolby Atmos that it advertises is just a marketing ploy for the crappy built in TV speakers and not what it can send.
   
2. The receiver cannot decode an Atmos signal sent via the eARC HDMI port. I know this to not be true since Denon explicitly says it can not to mention most other receiver manufacturers claim this same feature and it's pretty much table stakes at this point.
   

Any ideas what's going on here? Would switching to an LG tv solve this issue? Would switching to a different receiver solve the problem?

Alright I have a reaallly niche problem right now, idk if this is even the right subreddit to ask, and idk if this will even fix it because I don't know how dacs work lol
Short version: My current dongle dac turns off when audio goes quiet for what I'm guessing is to save power, but when that happens it causes a popping noise in my iems. I want to prevent the usb port from turning off to hopefully keep the dac from turning off which will stop the popping noise (Theoretically).

Long version: Bought truthear hexas, I love them but I found you need to have a decent dongle dac to prevent static. I have tried 4 different (cheap) dongle dacs now, the only one that works perfectly is the apple dongle. Classic. However, I am having a really hard time finding a good dongle doc WITH a pd port to charge my phone at the same time. The only dac with a pd port that works well is from UGREEN, but it has the problem of turning off when there is no audio, which causes a popping noise because my hexas pick up that signal. Its unfortunate because it sounds so good when music is playing, its only something that happens when audio falls quiet.
So, because I can't find a good dongle dac with a pd port, and am really tired testing out different dongles, I am just trying to find a way to keep the dongle dac that somewhat works from turning off in the first place through usb settings. Though, I have a strong feeling it is the dac that turns itself off but it is worth a try. I have tried disabling usb routing, but it didn't work. I also heard if the iems have a mic it keeps the dac from turning off, however, my hexas do not have a mic.
In that light, does anyone know any apps or phone settings that keeps the usb port on no matter what? Or perhaps you know how to fix the popping a different way, or you know of a good dongle dac the sports both a dac and a pd port?

This project began when someone on Reddit asked about the export speed of Rekordbox 7 compared to Rekordbox 6, prompting the entire initiative. My intention is not to "blame" or "shame" any company or its products. I approached these tests with an unbiased, open mind, taking great care to provide a level playing field for all tests conducted. This report reflects my impartial findings.

Introduction:
Welcome to the real world Rekordbox 6/7 speed comparison test on macOS 2024.
When I began these tests, my initial goal was to quickly compare the speed difference between Rekordbox 6 and Rekordbox 7 on an Apple ARM computer for tasks that are notoriously slow, such as opening, exporting to USB, and analysis. I used my personal, extensive track collection for these tests. Due to unexpected results, I expanded the test to include several other macOS computers. As a reference, I decided to include Algoriddim djay Pro 5, the most optimized DJ software for macOS, and Serato, the second most popular DJ software on macOS.
Mandatory Rekordbox 7 analysis when exporting to USB
When I initiated the tests, the measured export times from Rekordbox 7 to USB were unreasonably long. Similar reports poured in from users of my applications in various settings. Identifying the cause of this sluggishness swiftly became my top priority. It turned out that Rekordbox 7's export process necessitated the analysis of tracks by RB7, even if those tracks were already fully analyzed in Rekordbox 6.8.5. When an artist updates from Rekordbox 6 to Rekordbox 7, RB7 silently analyzes the tracks before exporting, leading to excessively prolonged export times. Fortunately, RB7 analysis is a one-time requirement per track and can be manually initiated at times that its more convenient then minutes before a gig. Note: for the tasks that were tested, none of the DJ softwares utilizes the GPU
Test conditions
I aimed to standardize all test conditions as much as possible, including:

• Data for collection was stored on the internal drive, the audio files were stored on external storage.
• Each test used the exact same external drives, connected to the computer over USB-C, using the same cables.
• All collection data was identical across all systems, synchronized using Carbon Copy Cloner before the test.
• All computers were freshly rebooted prior to the test, with the "open windows from previous session" option disabled.
• No other applications were open besides an on-screen stopwatch.
• Wi-Fi was disabled, and network cables were disconnected.
• No screen capture applications were used; all video recording was done externally to avoid occupying system resources from the test.
• Between the various exports in a single test run, the export drive was not formatted (so each of the 3 exports added to the previous). Only after a full export run (sync1, sync2 and sync3) on a given computer, the drive was reformatted.
• The partitioning scheme used in both FAT32 and HFS (=macOS Extended journaled) was Master Boot Record.
• Analysis in Rekordbox was only performed for "Phrase" to maintain the converted Mixed in Key/Traktor values. Analysis requires at least one option to be checked, all other options (BPM/Grid, key etc) were disabled.
• In Serato DJ Pro analysis for BPM and Key were disabled
• In Rekordbox, the Sync Manager was enabled to synchronize all playlists from iTunes, ensuring the sync was up-to-date with no changes made to the iTunes collection during the test.
• All test playlists originate from iTunes and were accessed through the iTunes section of the DJ software.
• All (116.747) tracks from iTunes had been pre-analyzed in: Rekordbox 6, Serato, and djay Pro 5. In other words, the DJ software had a real and big collection of tracks. Since djay Pro 5 does not re-analyze already analyzed audio files, all djay analysis data was deleted from the system before running the analysis tests.
• Because iTunes sync can not be disabled in djay Pro, the values used for startup without iTunes are the same values from the test run with iTunes sync enabled.

Fault tolerance:
During computer speed testing, achieving 100% identical situations is unfeasible due to the unpredictable consumption of system resources by various OS-related operations. I estimate the fault tolerance in the measured times to be around 5%.

Important conclusions and findings from these tests:

• Rekordbox 7 on macOS is not multithreading when it comes to analysis, hence the spikes in the tests. On Windows Rekordbox 7 utilizes all available CPU cores. Rekordbox 6.8.5 is also multithreading.
• Export to an HFS formatted USB is faster than a FAT32 formatted, especially after consecutive exports.
• Disabling iTunes integration in the SyncManager can improve startup times of Rekordbox considerably. Disabling iTunes sync can cause issues with exported USBs that were originally created using the SyncManager.
• Rekordbox 7 has a bug, where custom/edited BPM/Grids can be overwritten with mandatory analysis. Even when the BPM/Grid analysis is disabled!
• Export to USB using the SyncManager still shows 2 progress bars, where export through right click -> export only shows 1

Hello everybody, I’m having trouble with video stuttering when my PC is connected to the AVR.
My set up goes as follows : PC -> AVR -> TV through HDMI
PC specs : nowadays CPU (no iGPU), nvme and Mobo with a RTX3050 and a fresh windows 11 installation. Every driver is kept updated asap. I use it with YouTube (Firefox), Stremio and Kodi. No particular setting in nvidia or windows but I’m using Philips hue app
AVR spec : Denon AVR X2100w with hdmi input for the HTPC and hdmi monitor 1 output to the earc hdmi input of the TV. No particular hdmi parameter but ARC and CEC (control sound via TV remote use). I bought it from second hand so maybe a “bad” setting was already present
TV spec : Samsung 55’’ Q70. I only modified the expert picture settings (contrast, etc…)
HDMI cable : guess it’s 2.1 as I can have 4k@120 when connecting HTPC to TV directly (AVR is only 2.0)
My problem : -HTPC is 4k@60 or 1080@60pk, everything is smooth until I use Kodi, Stremio or YouTube. When playing a video with theses players, the frame rate is lowered and the video is stuttering. I’ve check the tv, it’s says 1080@60, the AVR too (information section in settings, in and out are 1080@60). When I disconnect the HTPC from AVR and connect it directly on the tv (not the same hdmi input on tv of the AVR) I get no problem at all, no stutter nothing on the 3 players.
-HTPC 4K or 1080@frame rate of the media played : no problem
-HTPC is 1080@120 (4k@120 not available) I get no problem. I think because the AVR goes in full pass through for the image because when I look in the information of the AVR setting, I get no info (only - - -) as the AVR looks lost or get no signal like this is too much to use but ok to pass through .
My thoughts: From these informations it looks like the AVR is like rencoding the 1080@60 to 1080@good frame rate of the media played but the TV stays at 1080@60 so it causes stuttering on TV. I’ve look into the AVR settings but I didn’t find anything like that. But I can also be a HTPC issue I guess and I don’t have an other on PC with HDMi
I’m a bit stuck because at can stay like that at 1080@120 but I’ll be missing 4K content on my 3 players + I’m planning to buy a new AVR 1700/1800 (mainly for HDR) and I’m afraid this time it will deal with 4k@120 and thus do the rencoding thing…)
What id like is to simply use my computer at 4k@60 without stuttering issue and without changing the frame rate every time…

I am on 10 years deferred in TX and just finished up a 3 year divorce last January. I am 3 years into the deferred sentence and never had an issue,a lot hours of community service is completed. All fines paid for, paid ahead in monthly fees etc. on cruise control basically at the lowest level classification as well. Never had a violation ever. My charge is aggravated though. My ex wife is super vindictive and we have kid together. She got a 10 year protective order put in place when I was in jail as well. I have never been in trouble in my life before this probation just as background information.
This leads me to my current situation to where I accidentally put in one of my messages the words “F U B” At the top and then proceeded with a lengthy message trying to get her to co-parent with me. How was it an accident you may wonder? Well I use my notes app on my phone to do a lot of things, one of those things is write down songs that I hear that I think are worth listening to again. Well there is a song by Wheeler Walker Jr. called “F U B” it’s a colorful but funny song, I wrote it down to later look up.
With that being said I also compose the messages I am going to send my Ex in the notes app as well. I accidentally went into that note and typed out my message about how I wish she would just bury the hatchet. I copied the note and posted it in the court monitored AppClose system we use. I didn’t realize until later that at the top it had that song name listed and then 3 spaces below that my paragraph was there. I immediately messaged her informing her of all this information that I am talking about as well as apologizing and letting her know it was not intended for her and it’s a song etc etc.
Well she decided to take that screenshot of it saying “F U B” and go to the police station and a judge issued a warrant for my arrest for violating the protective order based off of just that alone. I was arrested last Friday and bonded out Sunday. I haven’t informed my PO based on advice from a from an attorney, but I have not retained them yet. My questions are what is the likely hood what Texas will do, based off of experience the community has. Let me continue probation or throw me in prison. Just looking for possible outcomes here.

On my Shield TV remote I previously had the menu button set to double tap for TV input (IR w/ Samsung). The Philips Hue Sync box takes all inputs now, so I only have the one going to my TV, but I can't figure out how to set it up correctly.
If I setup the menu button in the Hue app, it can only do single button press so it overrides the menu button altogether and can't seem to cycle inputs, but only select a specific input (which seems dumb?).
Any ideas how i can get the Shield TV remote to cycle inputs for the Sync box without losing TV volume control on the Samsung?

My father in law has breakfast every Saturday morning at a restaurant. He gets there at 6 am when they open and usually stays until 8:30 or so. His kids and grandchildren drop in and out, most do not stay the whole time and they either pay their own checks on the way out or leave him cash to cover their bill and he pays before he leaves.
Last Saturday I went late and crossed him leaving. My wife and daughters waited for me. I ordered and they chatted while I ate. They headed home while I went to the counter to pay the check.

I immediately asked for an itemized receipt and after a bit of hesitation the waitress provided it. I took one l look and knew I had been stuck with my sister in laws check too. The waitress confirmed that she had been there early and didn’t pay before leaving. The waitress assumed someone else would pay it as they sometimes do. I requested that she separate the checks. My family of 4 was $60. Sister in laws’ family of 3 was $111.
The manager came over to discuss the situation and said I could pay, sister-in-law could come within 30 minutes and pay or he would call the police.
I called sister-in-law and she said she was out of town and asked me to pay it and she’d pay me ‘later’. I told her she could Venmo or cash app me right away and I’d pay it.
She asked the total and I told her. She then asked what her share was and I told her that was her total as we had separate checks. She didn’t understand how breakfast for 3 could be $111. I read the ticket. Coffee, orange juice, milk and coke for everyone = 4 x $3 each x 3 people = $36. Double cheeseburger with fries $15, side of hash browns $3, add grilled onions and mushrooms $2 add extra cheese $2 add bacon $3 = $25. All meat omelet meal $12 add a side of bacon $3 add stack of pancakes $5 = $20. French toast $10 add blueberries $1 add strawberries$1 add side of bacon $3 add grits $3 add cheese $2 = $20 = 101 + tax $10 = $111.
She said she didn’t understand how it added up to so much. I told her that was how her family always ordered so I didn’t understand how she didn’t understand how all the extra things add up, but I wasn’t willing to spend my whole Saturday dealing with it. She could send me money right away to pay her check or I was leaving without paying it.
She sent me the exact amount, no tip. I paid, tipped the waitress and left.
I told my wife and she said that her sister never leaves enough to cover her bill.
Sister-in-law called my father in law and complained that her day was ruined. They were planning to go to the opening weekend of the water park and buy season passes but couldn’t afford it after paying for breakfast. He thinks I’m a jerk for putting her on the spot knowing the probably couldn’t afford $100+ for breakfast. He says he forgot she had been there and thinks I should have just paid and asked for the money later and says he would have paid me if she didn’t.
So Aitah for asking a 30-something year old woman to pay for her own ‘forgotten’ breakfast check and insisting that she paid me right away because she has a history of not repaying debts?

The cuts would increase its net interest margin, a key banking metric marking the difference between what banks pay for deposits and what they make from them. ‌ Microsoft's new vision for AI: Microsoft announced its "Copilot+ PCs" on Monday, giving the world a look at how the most valuable company in the world plans to integrate its AI capabilities into consumer computers — capabilities that it hopes will reignite the PC market. Using specialized chips on the devices (no need for cloud processing), the ChatGPT-4o-based system assists users by seeing and analyzing what's already on the screen, integrating a key communication step. Today's Takeaway is by Myles Udland, Head of News. ‌ One of the most notable bears on Wall Street finally flipped this week. Morgan Stanley's Mike Wilson raised his price target for the S&P 500 over the next 12 months to 5,400 from 4,500, a 20% jump amid a market Wilson sees defined by "higher than normal uncertainty." Josh Schafer has more on Wilson's call here. ‌ And in his report, Wilson included a chart that serves as a note of caution to stock market bulls looking for lower rates to power the next leg of this rally. ‌ "[There] is a wide array of return outcomes across history following the start of the cutting cycle," Wilson wrote. ‌ "In many ways, this analysis encapsulates our outlook well — a balanced risk/reward profile in the average/base line view, but the potential for a wide array of scenarios to play out. Once again, get ready for some notable swings in sentiment, positioning and prices."
Interest rate cuts have a complicated history with the stock market The S&P 500's average annual return is around 10%, making the 12-month returns that follow rate cuts, on average, well below this bogey. And with the exceptions of 1974, 1989, and 2019, year-ahead returns for the S&P 500 after rate cuts have typically been well outside this historical average both high and low. ‌ All else equal, lower interest rates benefit riskier assets like stocks, bringing down the return hurdle that makes stocks preferable to something like fixed income. ‌ What Wilson's data reminds us, however, is that rate cuts aren't something the Federal Reserve typically does "just because." ‌ Even the winning years in Wilson's chart are reminders of precarious moments in financial market history — the 1994 bond market crash gave rise to James Carville's famous complaints about "bond vigilantes," and 1998's emerging market crisis and collapse of LTCM forced the Fed to take drastic action to save a single hedge fund. ‌
Go back 18 months and Wall Street expected a recession to prompt rate cuts. Chart of the day BMO Capital Market's chief investment strategist Brian Belski boosted his year-end target to 5,600 from 5,100, noting that momentum in the market is "likely to persist." On Friday, Deutsche Bank chief equity strategist Binky Chadha boosted his year-end target for the benchmark to 5,500 from 5,100, noting robust earnings growth and an improving macroeconomic consensus. Then, on Sunday, one of the biggest bears on Wall Street over the past year joined the crowd. Morgan Stanley chief investment officer Mike Wilson now sees the S&P 500 hitting 5,400 in the next 12 months, up from his prior call that the index would fall to 4,500, driven by solid earnings growth.
