2024.05.21 12:14 IfaFlowerBlooms Interest free home loans
If there was one way to solve the overpriced housing market, it would be to have interest free home loans. I believe that interest is the root of all problems in New Zealand.
Point one, interest is used as a tool to control the economy, if there's too much spending the reserve bank increases its rates causing the average new Zealander's to struggle to pay their mortgage or rent. This in then forces kiwis to save. This only benefits the wealthy.
Point two, houses in the 90's were 125,000, lets say it was purchased with a mortgage @ 6% over a period of 30 yrs, the owner would have paid $590k worth of interest, meaning that in order to profit, theyd have to sell for over $700k which is near the current average.
Point three, interest at its root is evil and NZ would be better off as a nation if we had options to work around it. It only benefits the rich and it makes the working class stay working.
What do you think?

2024.05.21 11:44 Annual-Ad-3061 Viasil Review: My Personal Experience After A Month
Let me preface this by saying: I was initially skeptical. Like many guys, I wouldn't readily admit to ED problems, and the whole supplement industry can feel shady. But after a rough patch in the bedroom, I decided to take the plunge and try Viasil.
Click here to access Viasil (10% Off!) Here's my honest take.
The Good: - Natural Ingredients: A big selling point for me. Viasil uses stuff like Tribulus Terrestris, L-Arginine, and Maca Root, which supposedly have natural aphrodisiac qualities.
- Definitely Improved Performance: Let's just say things went from limp to much firmer in the bedroom. My stamina also seemed to improve, which was a welcome change. My partner was definitely happy about the results!
- Energy Boost: I noticed a general increase in energy levels throughout the day. Not sure if it's directly related to Viasil, but it was a positive side effect.
The Not-So-Good: - Didn't Work Instantly: The product description makes it sound like you pop a pill and instantly become a s*x god. Not quite the case. It took about a week of consistent use before I felt the full effects.
- Not a Magic Bullet: Let's be real, a healthy lifestyle is key. Viasil can be a helpful tool, but it's not a replacement for good diet and exercise
Click here to access Viasil (10% Off!) Overall: I'd recommend Viasil to guys looking for a natural solution to ED. It's not a miracle drug, but it did the trick for me. Just remember, it takes time and be sure to manage your expectations. If you're looking for more info, check out the Viasil website (

2024.05.21 06:34 BlueJayWC What you might have missed about the Legion; in-depth analysis of their ideology and worldview
I tried posting this on the main sub and I got no response, not even up or down points. I just want to share something that hopefully at least someone would find interesting. Beware of a wall of text.
Just to be clear, I'm not a Legion fanboy. I don't think they're the best option for the Mojave, nor the most likely to be canonized. They're good for a playthrough or two if you're into pseudo-genocide runs, and creating an OP melee character in FNV is actually super easy with some of the insane perks you can get.
Regardless, I feel a little frustrated when some people don't appreciate the Legion for what they are. They get basic facts about their ideology wrong, nor understand the deeper nuance to them that isn't immediately apparent unless you get a good look. So in the interest of understanding, but not agreeing with the Legion, I'm going to share some information and my personal takes on them. As much as possible, I'll link to relevant non-game commentary and in-game dialogue (the number indicates the dialogue ID#).
For starters,
the Legion does not enslave "everybody" they come across. J.E. Sawyer talked about this in his Formspring posts.
The Legion has "cities of their own" (quoted from Caesar), non-tribal settlements in their territory that are populated by "civilized" wastelanders who are generally left alone. They have to provide tribute and do whatever the Legion tells them to do. Still, the Legion is supposedly an apathetic overlord who doesn't interfere much in the lives of the wastelanders.
Developer comments as seen by some (including myself) as unnecessary and pointless if it's not represented in the narrative. In contrast, others call it the "word of God" and treat it on the same level of canon. Regardless, Sawyer in these posts is not explaining things that were simply not present in the game, he is adding supplementary commentary on information already present in the game. Caesar's ideology is rooted in extreme form utilitarianism; he believes that tribals are a waste of human resources, and that "Slavery is a gift" for their lives would be put to use, rather than constrained to their villages and engaged in petty raids and fights for survival.
Canyon-Runner says the same thing (7-9 and 30-31), albeit since he was raised to be a legionary he is obviously brainwashed but he explains the self-rationale behind a Legionary's slavehood; yes, Legionaries are slaves as well, not just the women. Additionally, if you help Primm join the NCR, Caesar's Legion garrisons the town and "keeps Primm open for business"; which is ironic that Primm joining the NCR is the best ending for a Legion playthrough.
NCR Citizens are an exception because just as Caesar views humans as a resource on the same level as weapons and supply lines, he is denying the enemy resources by capturing their citizens. However, this would not be the situation forever; how could it change? What does Caesar
want? Well...
The Legion isn't a country, but it wants to be. The Legion is a massive and well-organized raider gang when stripped of all its pomp and frills.. Or to put it more politely, an army without a state. They have no state bureaucracy, no forms of taxation, no form of civic participation in the government, and no concept of citizenship; because all these things simply do not exist, as of yet, to the Legion. The Legion is more comparable to the enemies of Rome rather than Rome itself; a horde of barbarians that travels from place to place, gathering strength and crushing resistance whenever it appears.
So how could the Legion reform?
Let's listen to the big man himself. (163) I'm not a philosophy student so I won't tell you how Caesar is wrong about Hegelian dialectics. There are plenty of people more knowledgeable about me on that topic that already made posts about it. However, it doesn't matter if he interpreted it wrong because the message he is trying to communicate is still understandable. Keep in mind, one of the main themes about Fallout is how people perceive the old world and misconstruct past ideas. Caesar also completely misdefined what the "Pax Romana" meant, and this is the same game where a gang of anarchists think that Elvis Presley was a messiah figure.
To summarize Caesar's rationale in one sentence; he wants to take the best aspects of the NCR and combine it with the best aspects of the Legion to create a utopia. He believes that the NCR is corrupted, dying by a flawed democracy, militarily weak, internally divided, and ruled by selfish elites. However, at the same time, it is also the most socially advanced civilization we have seen so far, with citizenship, taxation, a standing professional army, and industry. He believes that the Legion is adaptable while also being assimilationist; that is is disciplined, incorruptible, defined by a single purpose and militarily powerful. Yet, as I explained above, it resembles more like the Gauls that Caesar defeated rather than Rome itself.
Caesar's choice to emulate Rome was because he considered it a highly adaptable society that is able to both change and improve; this is backed up by Ulysses who explains that various Legion equipment (like Hydra or healing powder) comes from the tribes that the Legion conquered. Caesar thinks that the Legion is a system of government designed to survive in the wasteland; I don't think many people make the connection that Caesar and the Master (Fallout 1) have almost identical ideologies and motives. On a sidenote, I think New Vegas was begging for a Super Mutant character, desperate and lonely after the loss of his Master, who ends up being the most patriotic Legion supporter in the whole game when he realizes Caesar is the Master. Kinda stupid, but these games are full of characters like that.
But of course, the Legion's philosophy is centred all around one man. The Legion is, as I explained before, a slave army with no individuality, and their vision for a future comes entirely from Edward Sallow/Caesar. Let's talk a little bit about the big man himself.
Caesar's worldview is motivated by growing up under Tandi. This is narrative story writing on how Caesar is a foil to Tandi; a foil is like a mirror, it's the opposite but the same.
Caesar talks about how the NCR was best under the reign of it's "queen" (106 onwards) and how the NCR has fallen into decadence and decay after the loss of their founder's vision. Clearly, if you read between the lines, Edward Sallow was influenced by authoritarian governments at a young age. Let's take it a step further; how many people predict the Legion will collapse after the death of Caesar? Marcus, Mr. House, Ulysses, Graham, the list goes on.
These people are simply reiterating the thoughts of Caesar that he applied to the NCR; without the unifying vision of their founder, a new nascent civilization will lose its path, drop its ideals and become a corrupted decadent husk until fading away.
In summary, there's a lot to appreciate the Legion for if you read between the lines; they're a commentary on the brutal rise of a society with an idealized worldview to greatness and the subsequent taming when all the conquering is done. Most civilizations throughout history had violent starts; America, the British Empire, Rome itself. It's a perfect representation of one of the main themes in the series; how the past is interpreted, or
misinterpreted, by the present.
This post is already long enough so I can't even talk about the other interesting things like the long list of allegories for the Legion; Lanius seems to be an allegory for Marcus Antonius, Arcade Gannon is an allegory for Cato the Younger (if you sell him into slavery), Caesar is an allegory for...Caesar. At the end of the day, I hope you guys take away a new found appreciation for what the writers gave the audience with the Legion.

2024.05.21 00:36 Silversweet1980 Let's talk about the Voyager Exo-6 action figure line
https://exo-6.com/collections/voyager I was surprised Neelix is still on pre-order. I'll preface by saying I've never owned any of these figures and cannot in the near future. I'm a very "light" figure collector and I unbox all my babies for display purposes. To my name, the only Trek figure I have is an Ambassador Spock I got when I was, like, 11. (I think I was too embarrassed to get any Voyager ones when they were brand new at that same age.) Looking at them, I like the quality that Sideshow Collectibles puts out more, if just for the look on screen (again, don't own any.) Like I said in another thread, some of these don't look that great. The skin is realistic, sure, but it doesn't look...for lack of a better word...clean? Prime example, some old promotional still of Harry Kim https://preview.redd.it/dclumxiamn1d1.jpg?width=597&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f7ce1f416b1383f62caa47670390cc0d8868bc3e Now pull up the figure of him. Too much nosable crease. I guess the eye lines are correct? The skin isn't exactly splotchy, but it doesn't look super great. I don't know what to call that, but it doesn't look good to me. Also, the lighting for these poor figures is awful. So dark! I get they were going for dramatic lighting, but holy crap. I think we can agree the show wasn't shot this dark even on red alert! Last complaint, synthetic hair over plastic, every time. It just looks better, even though I'm certain it costs more in time and labor (I have a long term re-rooting project for a doll and it's quite the undertaking for just ONE 6-inch by hand. You'd have to have it done mechanically to get anywhere fast.) And I'm pretty sure none of the characters hairstyles are so elaborate that they can't be done with faux hair anyway. I don't like how they did Tuvok dirty. I can't put my finger on what, but he either looks too angry or not like Tim Russ very much. He doesn't look right and I don't know why and it's bugging me, but I always have reeeally high standards of likenesses of my baes. (Harry is also bae. Squee!) If anyone can put into words better how he or any of them look a bit "off", please give it a shot. Sometimes it's hard to put my thoughts or feelings into words, especially when the "what" is hard to pin-point. They should have included the candle from the episode 'Gift', I thought it was pretty. If not that, maybe his Lute for fun. (...Wonder if someone made a Vulcan lute in sims?) As to the positives? Yay, actual realistic Voyager figures! (That I'll probably never have. Other than that, glad they went for the 12 inch model. Anything smaller would have felt overpriced. I am glad they're comparatively more affordable than the 300-1200 figures Sideshow puts out. I wanted Janeway and her little coffee mug soooo bad. How cute! Glad they got that detail right. Sad Jennifer Lien went off the deep end. a realistic Kes figure would have been freaking adorable. (They'll probably still make her because money) Seven of Nine is going to be breathtaking if they get the details right. Ahah, forgot they made her already and she's sold out. Speaking as a hetero woman in admiration, Jeri Rayan was/is a beautiful woman and has great acting skills. Really surprised she hadn't gotten more high profile roles after VOY ended! Thanks for reading, may edit this later! Edit: I feel stupid now because... https://www.sideshow.com/brands/star-trek?ref=nav_discover_star-trek#searchspring-content https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Fi-may-be-stupid-v0-mmpv8am8p0ib1.jpg%3Fwidth%3D1080%26crop%3Dsmart%26auto%3Dwebp%26s%3Da91a8be1c38a09c12a3a7c4080784428d266bf49 Didn't know Exo just let other companies sell their stuff. Interesting. But, IDK crap about the actual figure market. submitted by Silversweet1980 to voyager [link] [comments]
2024.05.20 22:17 blindnesshighness Facewash drama??
After over a year of pregnancy/breastfeeding, I was excited to go back to my regular laser hair removal center and get a touchup on my face. I’ve been using the same facewash for years and have always thought it was a gentle cleanser (it’s called Fresh). When the tech asked me what I used, I told her but also mentioned I waited the required 48 hours. She said because it has citric acid in it, she can’t laser my face. I need to wait a full week and reschedule my appointment. I told her I never had a problem before and she said it was “dumb luck” that I didn’t get facial scarring from it. I left, demanded a refund, and have made an appointment elsewhere. So is she right? Is Fresh harsh enough that it will scar my face? I feel like she was being way too cautious and now I don’t want to return to this laser center even though I’ve had great experiences there (besides her).

2024.05.20 19:00 NationalAnything1547 Thrifting Your Way to the Perfect Goth Wardrobe - Tips and Tricks for the Frugal Goth Girl
Hello night owls and fashion enthusiasts,
After seeing many inquiries about how to thrift goth girl fashion effectively, I've decided to share some strategies for finding the perfect clothing, accessories, and footwear in second-hand stores and online platforms.
1. Understand the Aesthetic: Before you start your thrifting journey, it's crucial to understand the goth aesthetic. The goth subculture has its roots in the post-punk movement, with music playing a significant role. Goth fashion draws inspiration from punk, glam, and other alternative styles, mixing traditional and borrowed elements. It helps to research different substyles (like Victorian goth, cybergoth, or pastel goth) and decide which resonates with you most.
2. Think Versatile: The key to a successful goth wardrobe isn't buying tons of pieces—it's having versatile items that can be mixed and matched to create different outfits. Look for items like black dresses, trench coats, and staple pieces in different styles. One good find can be a base for many different looks.
3. Don't Ignore Mainstream Stores: When you're thrifting, don't limit yourself to stores that explicitly sell goth or alternative clothing. Often, you can find excellent pieces at mainstream thrift stores, online marketplaces, or even garage sales. It's all about spotting the potential in pieces, such as seeing how a vintage lace dress could work in a goth outfit.
4. DIY Is Your Friend: Part of the goth culture is a DIY ethos. If you find an item that's close but not perfect, think about how you could alter it to fit your aesthetic. This could be as simple as changing buttons, adding patches, or even using dye to darken a garment. With a bit of creativity and a DIY spirit, you can transform seemingly ordinary clothes into goth fashion. Simple customizations can add a personal touch to your outfits. A basic black shirt can be transformed with some fabric paint or patches. A simple skirt can be made edgier with some added lace or chains. And never underestimate the power of safety pins!
5. Patience and Persistence: Thrifting is not always a quick process. It might take multiple trips to find pieces that work for you. But that's part of the fun – the thrill of the hunt and the joy when you finally discover that perfect piece.
6. Try Online Thrifting: Don't forget to check out online platforms like eBay, Poshmark, and Depop. These platforms often have a good variety of goth and alternative fashion items. Use specific keywords for what you're looking for, like "goth", "punk", "alternative", "leather jacket", "lace dress", etc., to narrow down the search results.
7. Check for Quality: Be sure to check the quality of items before buying. Sometimes, clothing at thrift stores can be worn out or have minor damage. It's crucial to ensure the items you buy are in good condition and will last. Invest in good quality staple pieces, like a trench coat or combat boots, which you can use with multiple outfits. Fast fashion might be tempting due to its affordability, but quality items will last you much longer and usually fit and look better.
8. Join the Community: Become part of the online goth community. Subreddits like
GothFashion and
goth are great places to share, learn, and engage with others about goth fashion.
9. Hit Thrift Stores on Delivery Days Some thrift stores have specific days or times when they put out new merchandise. If you can figure out these days/times, you increase your chances of scoring the best finds before others get to them. If you're unsure, don't be afraid to ask the staff. They'll often be happy to tell you when new merchandise typically hits the floor.
10. Look Beyond the Women’s Section This tip applies to anyone, not just girls. Thrift stores aren’t perfectly organized, and it's common to find women’s clothing in the men’s section or vice versa. Also, men's clothing can be a great source of oversized or unique items that you can incorporate into your style.
11. Use Online Platforms If you can't find what you're looking for in physical stores, don't forget about online thrift stores and platforms like Depop, Poshmark, or eBay. These can be excellent resources for finding goth fashion pieces, though it's important to always check the seller's reputation and the item description for any potential issues.
And lastly, enjoy the process. Thrifting is like a treasure hunt. It's about the thrill of the hunt and the satisfaction of finding something awesome. So, have fun with it!
Happy thrifting, darklings!

My skin type is oily/acne prone but I am at the tail end of Accutane so currently it is more combination skin. I don’t have a derm appointment until next month so I’m asking here! I’m looking to buy this for the dewy look that’s in. I heard it gives a good glow without being heavy. Opinions and advice appreciated! Thank you all. submitted by Box_Onion43 to DermatologyQuestions [link] [comments]

- Batch #6, my favorites including Sandalwood Musk, Tibetan Crystalline, and Incense Chai
Now here's my next 20 reviews for your reading pleasure!
Nocturne Alchemy, sometimes known as "NAVA" from when they combined Nocturne Alchemy and VApothecary, is one of the most expensive houses, and I want to point out that you don't have to buy hundreds of dollars of full-sizes in order to explore their catalog and enjoy their artistry. I owe huge thanks to everyone who has sold or gifted me a decant, sample, or partial bottle. In fact, I have never actually ordered direct from the house myself! My
best advice, if you want to explore NAVA, is to include
freebie sniffies in your Ajevie order. When you check out, there's a text box in which you can ask for NAVAs specifically, and if they're available, they'll send you empty full-sizes! There's almost always still enough left to try, and it's been a great (and fantastically cost-effective) way for me to experience so many of NAVA's perfumes. You don't get to pick what you get, of course, but that in itself has been useful because it has allowed me to try a wide range of NAVA's notes, including some things I wouldn't have picked for myself (as you can see in a few of the reviews below). And then I can include these "empty" bottles as freebies when people order from my own destash - always great to spread the love!
Since folks keep saying it's helpful, I'll recopy my "basics of the NAVA collections" information. NAVA sells three categories of things:
- The Permanent Collection are those scents they always keep around. PC scents are available in small 2-mls (which range in price from $11.50 to $12.50) in addition to the larger full-size bottles. (This is useful because if you're placing an Ajevie order during a NAVA pre-order window, you can get PCs as reasonably affordable add-ons - this is a great way to try some of the most beloved NAVA scents.) Unfortunately, the vanillas are not PCs...
- Which brings us to the second category: Studio Limited scents. SL scents are basically permanent as far as I can tell, but they are not offered in 2-ml small sizes. This is troublesome when you're a newbie NAVA fan trying to learn your way around this house but not spend too much money. Ajevie will occasionally decant SL scents, but only when NAVA adds new ones to a given SL collection. Otherwise, you have to buy full-sizes, or seek a friendly decanter. This is where to find the famous "Vanilla Haven" and "Musk Haven" collections. u/anathemas has tried and reviewed a LOT of the musks (bless you!). u/araelykin of Arae Decantery is working on getting a lot of the Studio Limited scents, especially the Musk Haven, in stock as decants, and already has quite a few available for order.
- The third category is the one that seems to turn a lot of people off from this house: the Limited Edition collections. NAVA is a house that runs on FOMO (fear of missing out). Seasonally throughout the year (Valentines, spring, summer, Halloween, holiday, and so on), NAVA releases a giant Limited Edition collection that is made up of two parts. First, the new scents that year; second, the "Resurgence" scents, which are (most of) the scents newly introduced in the previous year. Thus, a given LE perfume is likely to be around for exactly two years, no more: the first year it appears, and the next year when it's a Resurgence. You can find a fantastically useful archive of NAVA LEs HERE (I refer to that handy website all the time!). On the one hand, this is a decent model because you can theoretically sample in the first year (from Ajevie or Arae, or for much faster shipping since they only deal with NAVA, Crypta Obscura; or by seeking decants/samples from this community a few months later) and then buy more the next year if you love it. The NAVA Facebook group contains really useful review roundup posts if you're wondering what folks think of any of these LE scents. On the other hand, this sales model absolutely encourages a spirit of frantic buying to stave off FOMO. ("Oh no, this is its second year, the scent will be gone forever, I must buy more than I'll ever actually realistically use!") The best advice I've heard is not to worry: NAVA recycles basic combinations a lot, so if you miss a particular perfume, chances are something similar will come around within a couple of years.
Permanent Collection
"Bastet's Garden" collection - Frangipani Egyptian Musk [Egyptian Frangipani, Egyptian Jasmine, Egyptian Lilac, Italian Bergamot, Irish Plumeria resting gently in a bath of exquisite original Studio Limited - Egyptian Musk] - I really do adore NAVA's frangipani, but here it's wildly overpowered by the Egyptian musk. Egyptian musk always smells to me like a slightly salty skin musk (but a really strong one, not skin-hugging) that has been made golden, almost caramelized. To me, it goes really well with autumnal scents - resins, incense, spices; I especially like the use of Egyptian musk in Nui Cobalt Ailurophilia [Egyptian musk, tonka, and dulce de leche wrapped in luxuriant cashmere, soft suede, wisps of sandalwood and copal smoke] - but this is my first time trying it in a floral perfume, and perhaps my skin just amps it, because here it is too much. There's an undercurrent of velvety white florals, but this one feels unbalanced - as a Bastet's Garden, I wanted it to be florals foremost, with Egyptian musk in the background. This would be much more successful for me with Bastet's Musk instead.
- White Pear Crystalline [Egyptian White Pear Accord, African Mandarin Essence, a quiet drop of Vanilla of Crystalline and Vanilla of Moonstone] (Note - mine is the old version, not the reformulated 2024 version) - It's named "Crystalline," but it's thicker and richer with touches of vanilla frosting, so coming back to the notes list I wasn't surprised at all to see Moonstone also listed. The pear is soft and fruity and a bit fantasy rather than realistic, and I could swear I get a touch of rose petal as well.
"Dragons, Gargoyles & Mythology" collection - Artemisia [White Musk, Skin Musk, Bastet's Musk, Tibetan Musk, Vetiver essence, Nevada Sage, Benzoin, Fresh Dirt accord, Vanilla, Dragon’s Blood Incense resin] - This is a remarkably tame, soft and gentle dragon's blood. The whole scent is quiet and velvety, mostly pillowy skin musk with Tibetan incense and dragon's blood incense in the background. The dirt feels more "light grey ash" than "dirty".
- Dionysus [Teak Wood, Mahogany Wood, Honey & Almond accord, Heliotrope, White Musk, Dragon’s Blood resin, eNVie ambre saphir] - A soft, powdery dragon's blood (I honestly didn't know that was possible! Dragon's blood usually hits me over the face) plus a honeyed almond that reminds me really strongly of Nui Cobalt's, Silver Fox [White tea with honey and rice milk, almond macaron, soft grey cashmere and cool woodland musk] in particular, over a base of white musk and powdery heliotrope (which are definitely doing a lot to soften the dragon's blood). As it dries, the dragon's blood does come out more strongly - definitely not for me. If I must do NAVA dragon's blood, I liked Selene more than this one.
- Selene [Dragon Blood Incense, French Vanilla, Vanilla Fleck (and sifted) of Tahiti, White Pepper, Crystal and Egyptian Musks, Dragon's Blood Tears (resin), and aged Moonstone Vanilla] - My blind guesses, not remembering any of the notes list, were lunar musk, ash, and non-gourmand vanilla. It's a very calm, ever so slightly soapy scent, and has very much a lunar effect. Now that I'm seeing the notes list, I can definitely make out the white pepper, which adds just a bit of ashy bite to the vanilla (like in Arcana Haint). And yes, I can now identify the dragon's blood, but it's the calmest, most serene dragon's blood I've ever encountered.
Studio Limited
Originals - Pink Quartz [Pink Vanilla Blossom, Crystalline, Crimson Egyptian Musk, Bastet’s White Amber Absolute, and a minimal drop of aged Oak] - This sugary pink floral-vanilla musk isn't a bad substitute for Eternal Ankh Pink [White Amber Absolute, Powdered and reconstructed oil of Egyptian Vanilla Husk, Vanilla fleck, African White Vanilla Absolute, Amber Resin, Bastet’s Amber, Pink Sugar and a touch of Crimson Musk] if you can't find the latter. Pink Quartz has more of that fruity warm Crimson red musk than EA Pink does, which (alas, because it's hard to find - I myself have only ever managed to find a half-ml decant) means that I do prefer EA Pink over Pink Quartz. Husband's reaction: "ooh, very nice!" It dries down to a whole lotta Crimson, and at this point I washed it off because I'm here for the vanilla-floral, not the red musk.
Deux - Indigo/Crystalline [Indigo: Words to visualize with this perfume oil are 'heavenly,' 'purple,' 'peaceful,' 'ethereal,' and 'grounding'; imported African Musk. Crystalline: A thick viscous Vanilla that comes on soft and subtle creates a cacophony of a beautiful cloud of vanilla purity. It is not a food vanilla, but one that makes you feel at peace, tranquil, and right with the world. Crystalline, named in 2009 - for the signature Vanilla scent it creates, is one solid scent of uplifting Vanilla from the stigma of a Vanilla Orchid, especially for this perfume. Wear alone or layered with most any NA perfume from our site. Crystalline is composed of a supple skin musk to lift the vanilla note. Crystalline is a naturally occurring viscous perfume oil due to its vanilla components.] - It's heavenly, ethereal, restful, peaceful, all right, a soft velvet purple haze…but alas, there's something ever so slightly too animalic at close range, that Indigo musk too sheepy or b.o-ish for me to really relax into this scent. I do love the way NAVA blends Crystalline into other things, it's such a wonderful base.
Limited Edition
Eternal Ankh Colors & Gems - Eternal Ankh Pearl [Crystalline Absolute, aged Bastet Amber Absolute, Heliotrope EO, Siberian Rhododendron EO, White Amber Absolute, Powdered and reconstructed oil of Egyptian Vanilla Husk, Vanilla fleck and Vanilla bean] - I'm in love! It's a baby powder-ish, delicate and ethereal white floral. Is this what rhododendrons smell like? If so, I want one! "Pearl" is exactly the right description for this shimmery white scent. Those florals float on a cloud of Eternal Ankh - of all the EA Colors and Gems I've tried, this one has the strongest proportion of the original EA vanilla with its slightly sandy quality. If this ever comes back around from the house, I would absolutely FS this; it's absolutely glorious. It also has pretty astonishing longevity for such a delicate scent, lasting basically the entire day on me.
Thoth's Archive Winter 2024 - Blueberry Musk [Bastet’s Musk absolute (Tuberose, Mallow, Angelica, Musk Flower, and White Lily), Blueberry essence, Snow Blueberry accord, Bastet’s Amber absolute, eNVie saphir absolute, and Blueberry Mallow essence accord] - It goes on as artificial, over-sweet candied blueberries, but within a few minutes the blueberry calms down and the soft luscious vague white floral blanket of the Bastet's Musk kicks in, and it because just incredibly velvety and pretty, a blueberry-floral-musk. I had thought perhaps this would be best as a layering note, but to my surprise I'm finding I enjoy it quite enough all on its own! Longevity isn't great, but I never expected it to be, and lasting about three hours, it's actually slightly longer than I thought it would be. And it's awfully pretty!
- Raspberry Musk [Bastet’s Musk absolute (Tuberose, Mallow, Angelica, Musk Flower, and White Lily), Wild Transylvanian Raspberry accord, Raspberry skin accord, Crystalline (Studio Limited Vanilla) absolute, Bastet’s Amber absolute, eNVie saphir, Bastet’s Ice Cream Essence] - A fairly realistic raspberry - tart and sweet, juicy but also with a hint of bitter greenery - paired with the soft velvety white florals of Bastet's Musk. I don't get any amber or ice cream; my nose is simply reading them as part of the Bastet's Musk background, if at all. I don't wear raspberry perfumes much (and this is very much a raspberry single-note) so I'll try it alongside my Poesie Fan Dance [Sugar-dusted tart raspberries, vanilla bean, and powder-white skin] this summer and see which one I want to keep because I don't think I need both.
Holiday 2023 - Dream Musk [Blue Chamomile Paste extraction, Bulgarian and Moroccan Rose blend, Jasmine, Ylang Ylang, Sandalwood, Lavender, French Lavender, Cola root extract, Cola accord, Caramel, Frangipani, and Bastet’s Musk absolute] - I love NAVA's blue chamomile note, and I'm coming to realize how much I love their seasonal musks, so this one was kind of an automatic purchase for me. The cola note in the description took me aback, a bit, but I figured it was still very much worth a try! And as expected, this one is gorgeous. Any mix of florals from NAVA, even those that contain jasmine (usually a note I steer clear of), tend to be astonishingly velvety, soft and plush, and super luxurious-feeling, with great longevity, and this is no exception! Here in Dream Musk, blue chamomile is at the fore of the otherwise well-blended florals. And yes indeed, there's a definite cola note, especially when wet - but it really kind of works and makes this a much more cold-weather scent when it could otherwise definitely be extremely springtime. Dry, the cola reads more like an undertone of frankincense, which grounds the florals in a really lovely way.
- Parisian Musk [Lily of the Valley accord, Muguet Musk accord, eNVie saphir absolute, Honeysuckle extraction, Honeysuckle sugar accord, Bastet’s Musk absolute and White Musk] - Super unique in NAVA's catalog? No - but gorgeous as always! NAVA has the most wonderful soft velvety florals, and to my great delight this one features the honeysuckle prominently. There's nothing sharp or loud about this scent - though the perfume itself has great throw and longevity, the florals are feathery and glossy, with the slight lime-ish quality I always get from honeysuckle. The Bastet's Musk helps keep them soft and delicate, and the Saphir, barely noticeable, grounds them so that the floral scent has depth, richness, and longevity. Parisian Musk is closer to Masquerade RA [Honeysuckle Nectar accord, SLO Egyptian Musk, Veil Vanilla Bean Absolute, eNVie saphir Absolute, Amber Resin, and Bastet’s Musk Absolute] )though it has a LOT less amber) than it is to Eternal Ankh Labradorite [White Amber light, Powdered and reconstructed oil of Egyptian Vanilla Husk, Vanilla fleck, enfleurage of South American Honeysuckle (Lonicera japonica), gorgeous Crystalline Absolute infused Bastet's Amber Absolute blend and a drop of pure Egyptian Honeysuckle and Peony Extract], which has more vanilla and white amber, but if you missed EA Labradorite and are looking for another really fabulous NAVA honeysuckle, this one is a phenomenal choice. The first time I tried Parisian Musk, I liked it but wasn't wowed, but honestly I haven't been able to keep away from it ever since. It has definitely become one of my top-favorite NAVAs!
Summer 2023 - Crystalline #10 [Toasted Coconut, Coconut Pulp, Caramelized Sugar, Tonka, Coconut Milk, Bastet’s Musk, eNVie saphir, Crystalline (Studio Limited Originals)] - Sweetened coconut. It's simple yet gorgeous. The sugary note helps it avoid sunscreen status, and there's something really light and refreshing about this one. Longevity is not great though.
- Amber Cotton Candy & Honey Bee [Fossilized Amber accord, Bastet’s Amber absolute, Labdanum, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Cedar Chips, Cotton Candy accord, Vanilla-sugar, Whipped Orange Blossom Honey accord, Languid Amber Cordial accord (rich PC Ozymandias amber absolute), French Vanilla, Caramel and Raspberry Essence] - I don't buy NAVA's Bees because their honey doesn't work on me - their orange blossom honey is quite cloying, sickly sweet, and a bit urinous on me. This was a freebie sniffie bottle from Ajevie, which I still tried because it's always fun to try new things, and because (having experienced the orange blossom honey before) I figured I could overlook the honey to evaluate the other notes. This amber definitely has a thick, syrupy quality to it - I get almost a whiff of their limestone accord - and it's heavy on the labdanum. The pink spun-sugar cotton candy note amps the already quite sweet honey note. I also, to my surprise, actually can make out a touch of tart juicy raspbery - but not any patchouli.
Halloween 2022 - Dia de los Muertos - Fuego [Black Cardamom, Wood Ember accord, Smoke, Mexican Wedding Cake accord (ground almonds, powdered sugar, and sugared butter) and the perfume of Horchata; a drink made from ground up rice along with sweet cinnamon sugar infused with almond milk and blended into Studio Limited Vanilla, Crystal. Horchata - (light spices of clove, nutmeg, allspice and cinnamon)] - I can't get past the thick, cloying ember smoke, which sticks in my throat and leans barbeque-y. If I sort of hold my breath and sniff, yes, I can get some underlying cardamom and baked-good sweetness, but oh my gosh I can't handle the smoke. Husband sniffed my wrist and pointed out curry powder, which I can totally see. He laughed and said he kind of likes it!
Summer 2022 - Eclipse Ambrosia [Sugared Summer White Tuberose, Velvet Jasmine, Sugared Ylang Ylang, Vanilla Custard Crème accord, Tonka Bean absolute, Labdanum, Benzoin, Eternal Ankh Vanilla absolute, Moonstone absolute and African Vanilla] - Huh, there's no coconut listed, but the first note I get Is delicate white coconut flesh, followed by a gentle pink tuberose. This is a very feminine, softly floral scent with a tropical flair. I like it - and it's further evidence that I don't need to be nervous when I see jasmine or ylang ylang listed for a NAVA perfume - but I don't love it so much that I'll seek out more after this sniffie.
Spring 2022 - Crystalline Rose de Mai [Our much-loved Crystalline Studio Limited aged to perfection for this particular blend of Vanilla from the stigma of a Vanilla Orchid, Vanilla Bean extract, Bastet’s Musk blended into the special Rose de Mai perfume oil blend] - Sugared rose petals, sweet and pink and absolutely lovely. I really do get sugar crystals alongside the rose (and not, as I expected, immediately recognizable Crystalline vanilla). This is such a delicate and dainty scent, though sweet enough that it also feels quite girlish and youthful. It reminds me of Wylde Ivy's Love Note collection, all sugar and floral and femininity, and also of Death & Floral Macarons & Roses [Sugared rose macarons with a light raspberry and strawberry cream filling]. However, Crystalline Rose de Mai is really too sweet for me, and I found myself always reaching for Eternal Ankh Rose de Mai instead, so I destashed this one.
Holiday 2021 - Whale Totem [Copaiba Balsam, Amber Incense, Musk Incense, drop of Ambergris accord (vegan) and Bastet’s Amber Absolute] - I absolutely see why everyone raves about this - it's ethereal, alluring, captivating, the best kind of my-skin-but-better scent. For me it's a multifaceted grey musk, white amber plus a delicately dirty, slightly salty musk. It is totally work-appropriate but also totally unique. And as much as I appreciate its beauty, and see why everyone loves it, it's also not quite my thing - I don't think its gossamer "dirtiness" suits my general persona or wardrobe. I suspect I'd always reach for a white amber or a silk note (now that I think about it, this is very similar conceptually to Arcana Moth-Like Stars [Creamy white amber, elegant cashmere, soft silk voile, salty Ambroxan, and diaphanous musk], which I love) before I'd reach for this. I'm truly delighted to have had the chance to try this, and I was also happy to pass it along to someone seeking it.
Spring 2021 - Orchid Yellow [Kobalt Vanilla SL Absolute, Dogwood accord, Sweet Egyptian Musk, Plumeria and Cyclamen] - First and foremost is the dogwood, an extremely musky that truly reads to my nose more like a dirty, earthy cottonseed than a floral. I'm not opposed to dogwood - I love it in Nui Cobalt Robin's Egg [Dainty forget-me-nots and lily of the valley, a dollop of whipped blueberry creme, and a cozy birch nest tucked into a flowering dogwood tree] - but here it's too strong and makes the perfume unbalanced. Along with the musky dogwood I get lime soda, with a very distinct fizzy note. Apparently cyclamen can be quite aldehydic, so that's probably where the fizz comes from. Meanwhile, I adore NAVA's plumeria, but I really don't get any of that intoxicating while floral here, except for the lime overtone I associate with plumeria. Orchid Yellow is a swing and a miss for me, unfortunately.
Valentines 2018 - Cardamom & Coconut Milk [Beautiful pure Sri Lanka Cardamom essential oil bathed in creamy California coconut milk, an ember of coconut husk smoke, Indonesian Vanilla bean with natural hints of caramel and chocolate notes] - Oh this is absolutely lovely - not too foodie, artificial, or sweet! Just a very vanilla-ish coconut milk that highlights the cardamom so well. This cardamom also feels spicier, more like Poesie's than most of NAVA's cardamom notes which feel a little musty and disappear quickly. (The cardamom does recede within about an hour, but unlike some - looking at you, Meditating Raccoon - Cardamom & Coconut Milk isn't left feeling "empty" but only less spiced.) Pity I could only eke out one scant wear from my sniffie.

I have these four Orange marmalade babies I separated from my mother plant. I just saw babies smaller than my two small ones for sale for $30. What do you think is a reasonable ask for these if I were to sell them? Located in southern NH for reference. I also have six rooted and planted Mayoi props that I haven’t the slightest idea what to ask for. Help a girl out! submitted by Plant-qu33n to philodendron [link] [comments]

2024.05.20 09:48 Sudden_Assumption139 My brothers and sisters.
Hello everyone, I’ve joined this Reddit in hopes of never coming back to this site. As a young man, I’ve struggled with temptations of lust and I’ve used this website to fuel my addiction. I have left all of the explicit subreddits and unfollowed all of the poor souls who sell themselves for earthly validation. I join this subreddit because I want to take my faith more seriously, and to put an end to a source of my addiction. My hope is that every time I open Reddit, on the rare occasion that I do (no offense to everyone here, I am so glad to be a brother in Christ to you all), thoughts of lust leave my mind when I see this subreddit in my feed. I also realize that I cannot stand up to the tempter by myself. I truly, deeply need Christ, and my failures remind me of my reliance upon Him. I also want to ask all of you to spare a sentence or two in your prayers to pray for me. These temptations have had a stranglehold on me for years. This is a deeply rooted addiction. I need to be rid of this, not only to increase in my relationship with Christ but also to be able to pour my heart into my other relationships, and be a man ready for marriage and to hopefully father children. Pray for me, thank you all. I hope I never log into this site ever again, but if I do, in my weakness, I will be so grateful to see you all in my feed. Thank you, and may God bless you.

2024.05.20 06:06 Odd_Psychology_1995 Medication History and Symptoms Update
I commenced Olanzapine at 2.5mg from April 25 to May 18, 2024, following its discontinuation in September 2023. Post cessation, I encountered issues upon consuming coffee products. I have since halted Valerian root caps, Melissa caps, Siberian Ginseng, and caffeine pills on May 15, 2024, as I observed that coffee replaced the cognitive benefits of these supplements.
I have experienced symptoms like coughing up phlegm and nasal congestion, suspecting that atypical antipsychotics such as Olanzapine may induce excessive saliva or drooling.
My current supplement regimen includes a male support complex in the morning and afternoon, along with Nescafe and cola beverages. I am contemplating adding an 80mg Ginkgo extract for improved eyesight and cognitive function. Additionally, I consume Starbucks coffee 2-3 times a week and am presently unemployed.
Your guidance on managing these health concerns would be greatly appreciated.

2024.05.20 05:44 Steffy_Cookies I managed to write part of the lore of my world, its 14 pages and I'm only like 50% done 😔
Evergreen, a rather welcoming name. Perfect for a land full of calm, peace and beauty. Evergreen in this case is the name of a vast kingdom. This kingdom is an incredibly complicated but majestic land and its people as well. Now sit back, relax and enjoy as I tell you about Evergreen.
First of all, where did Evergreen come from? Well the most early evidence of anyone living here was over 8000 years ago though if you truly think about it it could be as far back as 50 000 years. You see, the oldest trace of civilization in the kingdom is a large ancient hotel in the center of Heatherlea. No other building outdated this and that record is still held up to this day. The actual date of foundation of the kingdom is completely unknown and absolutely no one can tell when it could ever be because of the incredibly vague amount of information on anything before the recorded history of Evergreen. Though not everyone is so clueless, one person may know the answer on the timeline and that is The One Hundred.
You may be asking who this One Hundred person is. He is the oldest person in Evergreen and supposedly some sort of God. Very little is known about him but all that is known is whoever this person is, they are the most powerful in the kingdom.
Now I think you’ve heard enough about the kingdom itself and the basics on it now why don’t we get to work on actually unraveling this massive mystery. But with so many things to explain, how can this ever have an order? Well that’s very easy to do, this is a catalog of everything to know on the topic of Evergreen. Let’s begin.
Cities of Evergreen
Evergreen is the main city of the kingdom, it is used as a capital as well as the largest megalopolis of the city. Though in Scriptorium, the language of Evergreen, they don’t have terms for city, megalopolis or metropolis. So to them everything is a settlement, village or town. In this kingdom the size of a village does not matter only its population and Evergreen having over 1 000 000 people living in it, it’s considered the largest village in the kingdom. Which is quite a fitting label for the capital of such a large kingdom. Though not only Heatherlea contains an important building. Evergreen has the Main Hall and Steffy’s Mansion, both constructions are very important because they contain Aletine. Aletine is a rare gem that will be explained later on but for now all you need to know on Aletine is that it is very rare and very precious. The buildings each have an arch constructed fully of this material.
The whispers of Evergreen
Not everyone in Evergreen is happy with what they know about the kingdom. Certain things are very secretive and though on the outside it seems like a perfect place it is shrouded in mystery and entangled in a web of unknown like a huge tapestry of mystery. The people of the villages are mostly happy with how everything is going except for one thing. They want to know more about the village’s origin. You see, Steffy, The One Hundred, Heathotel and Aletinian do not want too much information to escape into the public’s hands. A disquiet hums beneath the seemingly idyllic surface of Evergreen. Whispers flit through bustling marketplaces, hinting at an enigmatic past shrouded in secrecy. Kept under lock and key by Steffy and the other main powers of Evergreen, the population never ceases to speculate what they could be hiding. Is it a secret civilization before us? Or could it be that Aletine is the secret to the lost time? No matter what the citizens say not one word has been spoken by anyone in control. And there is a good reason behind all of that which will be explained later on.
Architecture and style of Evergreen and it’s settlements
A warped image of Evergreen is fabricated when you dig deeper than what’s on the idyllic surface of Evergreen. But the kingdom is still a majestic land. Its architecture is primarily biomimicry as the villagers are very connected to their surroundings and the flora that they share the world with. The respect for nature in Evergreen is reflected everywhere, in the architecture, in the culture, celebrations and many more subtle depictions. The style that the land has adopted over the millenia is a very calming one, they believe in living life to its fullest so the architects try to make things as pleasant to live in as possible in almost every way possible. You will never find any hostile architecture in the city as its capital status means that it must show a good example for the other settlements to follow. However, the pervasive calmness of Evergreen's architecture raises questions. Could this serene aesthetic be a deliberate ploy? Is biomimicry a way to mask the secrets hidden beneath the tranquil surface? The One Hundred, with their knowledge of the lost civilization and the interdimensional threat, may have a vested interest in maintaining this facade of idyllic peace. Steffy, with his atmosphirec gem of unknown origin, might also find solace in the calming influence of these biomimicry structures. No one can know for sure but until more is learned why not enjoy centuries of perfected design and let the peacefulness wash over you as you stroll through the markets and quiet neighborhoods of the town.
The rest of the settlements
Evergreen does not have that many large towns, only about 4 main ones, Evergreen, Azalea, Heatherlea and Islafield. Those main towns are surrounded by much smaller ones but the main focus is on the four towns above.
Islafield
Islafield is, as the name suggests, mostly for farming hence the ‘field” in its name. The town is near a lake also named Isla The lake is used for fishing as well as a way to water the crops of the town. This majestic town is the main source of nourishment for the entire kingdom with 60% of its land consisting of fields and crops. The kingdom contains 5.6 million inhabitants which is a vast amount of mouths to feed and according to the way Steffy wants to run the kingdom, everyone should have the same chance with life per se he just doesn’t want anyone to starve or die before their time that is the primary reason why he allowed Islafield to become such a large producer of food. He would usually want people to get their produce from the same town in which they live in though since he has 5.6 million people to feed he made the exception that Islafield can export its harvest to the other towns. Other than the beautiful fields of flowers and crops Islafield doesn’t really hold much interest in the eye of the population of Evergreen. Though it is considered the most naturally beautiful town in the kingdom, its beauty does not help it much with population, it has been on a decline ever since the vault of Aletine became public knowledge. Perhaps the Aletinians, a secretive cult entrusted with crafting tools made of Aletine, might hold knowledge about this strange and sudden decline. Despite the dwindling population, Islafield remains a vital part of Evergreen. However, its idyllic facade now masks a layer of intrigue, begging the question: is Islafield truly just a farming town, or is it a cornerstone in a larger, undisclosed operation of the Aletinians?
Heatherlea, a town of beauty and intrigue
Heatherlea, nestled in Evergreen's north, throbs with a unique energy. This bustling town transforms into the kingdom's prime tourist destination during warmer months, welcoming an influx of 700,000 visitors. The undeniable allure? The enigmatic Ancient Hotel, an 8000-year-old structure, the oldest human-made wonder in Evergreen. However, Heatherlea's charm extends beyond the Ancient Hotel.,underneath the ancient hotel hides a vault. The most secure place in the entire kingdom. Inside of that vault is a supply of Aletine. Since Aletine is only found in that singular spot underneath the hotel a vault was built around the mine to keep everyone out of there given how precious Aletine is.Other than its main attractions, its marketplace features the kingdom's tallest stand, showcasing the rare blue and orange Heatherberry. Yet, the exclusivity of these berries in Heatherlea raises questions. Found primarily in the south, their presence here seems curiously deliberate. Is it simply a marketing ploy, or could it be part of a larger scheme? Heatherlea's vibrancy and tourist appeal are undeniable, but a disquieting question lingers: is it a genuine haven, or a meticulously crafted facade designed to distract from the secrets buried beneath the surface?
Azalea, a town shrouded in floral mystery
Azalea is known for one reason, if you look closely at its name you will notice that it contains the name of a flower. Azalea is named after the rhododendron by the same name, Azalea. This specific flower only grows in the town for unknown reasons and once again the reason for the flower's appearance in this one part of the kingdom is gatekeeped by the main powers The One Hundred, Steffy with his atmosphirec gem, and the Aletinians, each with their vested interests in the mysteries of Evergreen, all seem particularly invested in keeping the reason for the Azalea's exclusivity under wraps. Intriguingly, Azalea attracts a disproportionate number of Aletine sellers, who use the flower's beauty to showcase their wares. Why this specific town, rather than a more prominent location? Could there be a connection between the Azalea's unique properties and the Aletine gem? The motives of the sellers remain shrouded in secrecy, adding another layer to the mysteries swirling around Azalea and deepen the mystery of Evergreen.
Shadows in Evergreen: Unveiling the Kingdom's Cults
Evergreen's power structure extends beyond the readily apparent figures like Steffy and The One Hundred. Shrouded in secrecy, a network of cults weaves its influence through the kingdom. While some, like the Aletinians, maintain a relatively benign presence, crafting tools from the enigmatic Aletine, others operate with a more veiled agenda. The Heathotels, shrouded in mystery themselves, stand out for their potential hostility. Their enigmatic purpose and unknown connection to the Aletinians, an exclusive society rumored to possess knowledge on the craftsmanship of Aletine weapons, fuel speculation about their true motives. Do they cover the Aletine's power for their own gain, or are they safeguarding Evergreen from a yet-unknown threat? The secrecy surrounding these cults casts a long shadow, leaving the question unanswered: are they guardians or hidden dangers lurking within the kingdom's idyllic facade? The Heathotels: Enigmatic guardians of the ancient stone The heathotels are a mostly harmless cult. They are in charge of the protection of the Ancient Hotel and are the only ones who have full access to the vault containing all the Aletine. They seem to worship the hotel itself and treat Aletine adorned objects with the same respect as they would do to Steffy himself. They are highly secretive with the reasons on why they respect the precious stone so much and what connection they seem to have with the ancient hotel. While the other power players, like The One Hundred and Steffy himself, strive to keep the Heathotels' activities shrouded, their efforts only heighten the intrigue. This raises the question, if the Heathotels are truly a benign force, why such a concerted effort to conceal their practices? The Heathotels' enigmatic presence throws a long shadow, leaving the question unanswered: are they protectors of the Aletine and the Ancient Hotel, or are they guardians of a far deeper secret? The Aletinians: Sworn Crafters of Aletine Wonders Among Evergreen's enigmatic factions, the Aletinians occupy a distinct position. Eschewing the rigid structure of traditional cults, they follow a oath instead of a set of rules. The specifics of this oath remain a closely guarded secret, fueling endless whispers and speculation. The Aletinians, as their name suggests, possess a unique bond with Aletine. Interestingly they do not worship the Aletine but instead they treat it with reverence, viewing it less as an object and more as a potent material. The true purpose of the Aletinians is to forge everything that is created out of Aletine. They are hand picked, allegedly to safeguard the kingdom's precious Aletine supply, to ensure the safety of the kingdom’s supply of this majestic gem they can only be of a certain sanity. Once again the villagers have their own theories, whispers abound about an Aletine-infused substance used in the selection process, a method to ensure only the "worthy" wield the gem's power.Though to be granted the incredible privilege of handling Aletine directly is very prestigious as only 30 people have the privilege of handling the precious Aletine. But many things are still unclear with them as well. Why do these artisans operate outside the Ancient Hotel, traveling all the way to Azalea to practice their craft? And why, despite their seemingly benign nature, does Steffy strive to keep them hidden from the public eye? The Aletinians remain a captivating enigma, their purpose and connection to Azalea hinting at a deeper role within Evergreen's veiled secrets. The Nevergreen: Shadows Reaching for Forbidden Power In stark contrast to the Aletinians, who utilize Aletine for crafting, stands the enigmatic Nevergreen cult. Driven by a sinister agenda, they seek to weaponize the gem's power, a truth known only to Steffy and The One Hundred. Whispers abound of their attempts to breach the Aletine mine's containment, a reckless act that some speculate triggered a deadly conflict, the War Of Gods, shrouded in secrecy. Steffy himself, it seems, remains unaware of the Nevergreen's potential role in this ancient war. He and The One Hundred instead attribute it to a nebulous embodiment of darkness. The Nevergreen also strive to make the deepest secrets of Evergreen public knowledge. They are the reason why the Aletine vault became known to the villagers of Evergreen. The One Hundred and Steffy tried to cover it up by saying that the villagers deserved to know the truth of where the Aletine came from. But in reality it was an elaborate plan birthed by the leader of the Nevergreen. The identity of the Nevergreen's leader is a captivating mystery. Villagers whisper of a connection to Steffy's ancient enemy, this enigmatic embodiment of darkness. They are also rumored to have connections to the mysterious interdimensional threat looming over the kingdom, a danger only The One Hundred seems fully aware of. This raises the question, if The One Hundred knows everything about Evergreen, why do they still remain passive? Are they truly guardians, or are they somehow entangled within the complex web woven by the Nevergreen?
Gleams of Forbidden light and beauty Aletine, gem of untold power Aletine, a captivating gem shrouded in mystery, sits at the heart of Evergreen's enigmatic power structure. Its existence fuels whispers, speculation, and a fierce struggle for control amongst the kingdom's secretive factions. Here, we delve into the mystery concerning this precious stone. First of all, what are the origins of Aletine? Evergreen's bustling streets are rife with speculation regarding Aletine's origins. Villagers, known for their colorful theories, theorize that it is a form of interdimensional material, arrived here at the mysterious cataclysmic event that destroyed everything. Rumors abound of a ripped veil between dimensions, spewing Aletine into Evergreen while leaving devastation in its wake. While most of these village tales are dismissed as mere flights of fancy, the recent revelation of the Aletine vault beneath the Ancient Hotel has given some credence to the notion of an extraordinary origin. However, the truth remains shrouded in secrecy. Only Steffy and the other powerful factions possess any concrete knowledge about Aletine's arrival in Evergreen. Unveiling Aletine: Myth and Reality Clash The truth behind Aletine shatters some village myths while confirming others. While not interdimensional as some theorized, the gem undeniably originates from beyond Evergreen's reality. Its arrival coincided with the cataclysmic event that reshaped the kingdom, a truth only The One Hundred truly understands. This revelation validates a part of the villagers' extravagant theories, a devastating event did occur. However, it disproves the notion of a dimensional tear bringing Aletine here. The gem's origins remain shrouded in secrecy, fueling speculation about the civilization it hailed from. Unveiling the Secrets of Aletine Aletine is the most precious and most protected thing in all of the kingdom. The amount of secrecy surrounding Aletine is almost enough to rival the secrecy surrounding The One Hundred. With so much secrecy surrounding the gem you might be wondering why it is such a big secret. Well as explained before Aletine is hidden under the ancient hotel, the oldest building in Evergreen. Located beneath the ancient hotel, the oldest structure in the kingdom, Aletine predates all other known resources. The exact date of its arrival remains locked away in the archives of The One Hundred, who possess the sole understanding of its properties. Historically, they reveal information only in dire circumstances to safeguard the kingdom. Steffy's mansion and the main hall boast massive Aletine arches, a testament to the gem's power: repelling dark energy and matter. Steffy had the arch built in his mansion after the battle with The Embodiment of Darkness. The gem releases an aura around it stopping anything that contains darkness from passing through whatever it is built in. The shape of the arch is also a key detail to securing the room at the maximum. The arch shape lets the aura bounce off of it and spread to the rest of the mansion but in smaller quantities. Steffy and The One Hundred are the only two who possess this key information about Aletine. Aletine's potential extends beyond this defensive ability. Could it hold further, untapped properties? The possibility of weaponizing this powerful gem remains a question with potentially far-reaching consequences. Aletine’s connections Aletine is not only known to Steffy and The One Hundred. The public knows about this gem as well but so do all the cults in Evergreen. The Heathotels’s archives contain the largest collection of knowledge on Aletine other than what Steffy and The One Hundred know. A single, crucial truth about Aletine's connection to an interdimensional entity eludes even Steffy. Only The One Hundred and the enigmatic leader of the Heathotels are privy to this knowledge. Aletine is connected to some other worldly being. Since its roots can be traced to outside of Evergreen’s world, there must be some other civilisation that made contact with the gem before the Great End. Another thing to take into perspective is that Aletine is one of the oldest substances in the world. Its age could suggest a lost civilization predating the cataclysmic "Great End." Could this civilization have been the first to harness Aletine's power? The gem's connection to another world fuels this speculation. Aletine has undoubtedly passed through countless hands over millennia. Are the Aletinians, with their oath of secrecy, truly in control? Or is Steffy merely a pawn in a larger game? Perhaps a hidden organization, like a rogue faction within The One Hundred or a descendant of the lost civilization, manipulates events from the shadows. The question of who truly controls Aletine lies at the heart of Evergreen's mysteries. Aletine’s potentials Aletine reigns supreme as Evergreen's most potent gem, rivaled only by the enigmatic atmospheric gem. It has many magical properties,Its most celebrated property being the fact that it can repel dark energy and dark matter which came in handy during the War Of Gods. It can also be used for a multitude of different things. One of the most outstanding creations with Aletine is the arches in the Main hall and Steffy’s mansion. They are guarding the archives which contain precious and secretive documents on Evergreen as well as artifacts that have not been exposed to the public. With so many possible uses for Aletine only a select few are actually used. The Aletinians have been told only 6 times in the last century to forge weapons out of Aletine. With those orders coming straight from Steffy himself. With the looming interdimensional threat it is highly likely that a war will start in the next millennium. Who will be the 2 sides is still a mystery. Steffy is also worried about a rebellion, Aletine has caused unrest in the villages which have caused small riots and raids of the libraries and archives yet all of them end in failure. It is another very likely possibility that a civil war will start in the next few hundred years. The main powers may be aware of this and are preparing to defend themselves if this possibility becomes a reality. Yet, the question lingers: with Aletine's apparent defensive capabilities and no documented harm to Evergreen, why such secrecy? Are the powers hiding something more sinister? Could they be preparing for a threat far greater than a civil war, a threat hinted at by the whispers of an interdimensional entity connected to Aletine? Lempty, a gem of mysterious beauty Lempty gems, with their captivating light blue hue and characteristically rough, quadrilateral edges, are a ubiquitous presence in Evergreen. Lempty is not much of a very interesting gem. It is mostly used for decorative purposes and not very much in weapon smithing.Though it has a lack of properties, It has very famous use, Steffy himself has a 5000 year old Lempty encrusted egg. It is originally made out of the bedrock of Evergreen, Eslud, with a few pieces of Lempty embedded in it’s surface. Even with such a useless facade with no redeeming qualities, it is still widely used in architecture especially in the northern villages to portray the cold and the snow that those villages usually experience. Lempty can be found in almost every mine in Evergreen, since it is very widespread it has a very small value. Compared to Aletine it is 7 000 000x less valuable. Since it is so cheap it can be found in almost every piece of jewelry and almost every building contains even a bit of Lempty. Rumors of Lempty's untapped potential for healing pique curiosity. Though currently as mere folklore, such mystery raises intriguing questions. Is Lempty truly just a decorative gem, or is there more to its story? Perhaps Steffy's undying devotion to the Lempty egg holds the key to unlocking its secrets. The parasitic presence of Lempty throughout Evergreen hints at a potential significance waiting to be discovered. Eslud, the foundation of Evergreen Eslud reigns supreme as the most common stone in Evergreen. It literally forms the foundation of the world, as the very mines themselves are carved from this versatile material. Eslud is used most commonly in construction since it can resist high temperatures and immense amounts of pressure. The only interesting property of Eslud is that no matter how much pressure is on it, it stays flexible allowing for buildings made out of it to withstand high winds and earth-shattering quakes. It is also the stone of choice when making heirlooms since it can withstand so much damage keeping the heirloom good as new for generations. The most famous example of this is the 3000 year old Eslud box that has been passed down as the Retule family heirloom. More than just a common stone, Eslud embodies the resilience and unwavering spirit that lies at the heart of Evergreen itself. Atmospheric gem, a power of nature The atmospheric gem is the true rarest gem in Evergreen as it is only found in one place, on the tip of Steffy’s magical staff. It has the power to control the atmosphere hence the name atmospheric gem, thanks to its power to control the atmosphere, Steffy chose this gem as his crystal of choice to harness its magical properties. Though Steffy never found this gem in nature since it is a mix between Aletine, Lempty and Celusi. The exact process of how the Atmospheric gem came into existence is still a closely guarded secret with only Steffy and The One Hundred knowing how the gem was fabricated. The exact origins of the Atmospheric Gem remain a closely guarded secret. While Steffy acknowledges the possibility of finding such a gem naturally in a faraway corner of the universe, he downplays the chances of it existing on Evergreen. It takes intense heat and pressure to let it form correctly and there were many failed attempts to create Atmopsheric with the failures themselves playing a crucial role in the final product. It is quite obvious what Atmospheric does, however, how it achieves this control remains a mystery. Steffy and The One Hundred keep the details shrouded in secrecy. This secrecy fuels speculation: what truly powers the gem, and what drove Steffy to dedicate over a century to crafting it for a seemingly limited ability to control the weather? Could there be a grander purpose behind its creation, a power yet to be revealed? Celusi, the geriatric gem of Tyrlosuh Celusi is one of the rarest gems in the kingdom rivaled only by Aletine. It can only be found in Heatherlea, usually near a patch of heatherberry; studies have shown that the heatherberry benefits from the light residue that emanates from the Celusi. The major families of Evergreen usually have a reserve of Celusi to pay the more hefty fines as well as create new heirlooms for each generation. Unlike the highly sought-after Aletine, Celusi possesses no outwardly magical properties, at least to the casual observer. Steffy and the other major powers seem largely uninterested in the gem. Yet, a single, magnificent purple Celusi, a rarity in its own right, resides with the Tyrlosuh family, one of Evergreen's wealthiest and most prominent lineages, containing almost 250 current living descendants and over 10 generations are currently in the lineage which means they’re are 140 year old people in the family. Botinelosi, is the oldest person in the family standing at 164 years old and is the first person to ever use Celusi in the art of crafting. He stumbled across it while mining in the outskirts of Heatherlea near the village where the family originated, affectionately also named Tyrlosuh. Steffy originally seized control of the mine where Botinelosi found it. The quick seizure of the mine raised suspicion on the properties of Celusi. Steffy eventually allowed Botinelosi to have full control over the mine. Rumors spread through the kingdom like a wildfire, Botinelosi's silence on the matter, coupled with the Tyrlosuh family's secrecy, fuels the rumors. What truth are they hiding? Could Celusi's beauty mask a more significant purpose, a power that rivals even Aletine's? Polompty, a concoction of nature Polompty, a breathtaking gem with an allure unlike any other, shimmers with the colors of Lempty, accented by veins of Eslud embedded deep within its interior. It also comes from the same location as Celusi, near the Tyrlosuh village. By taking its location into consideration it may lead you to believe that Polompty is simply an underdeveloped version of Celusi, which is what Botinelosi originally believed when first discovering it in the abandoned Reveras mine right near the Tyrlosuh mine. Polompty was originally put under extensive studies to discover more information on it, all the studies ended up coming with one answer: Polompty is a marvel of nature, a harmonious blend of 6 different stones and gems. Which explains the presence of Eslud in its core as well as the colors of Lempty. Since it has such a strange yet intriguing beauty it captivated crafters's curiosity which caused an influx of its use to fabricate jewelry. However when Lomi, daughter of Botinelosi, became head of the family the mine was closed off to the public and all sales of Polompty stopped causing shockwaves in the gem market, sparking the infamous Polompty rush. The Polompty rush, a desperate search After Lomi shut down the mine, the supply of Polompty slowly trickled to a stop. Lomi's aged father, Botinelosi, allowed his son Bisel to sell the remaining stones stored in the Tyrlosuh archives. With the Polompty market back on its feet, the family had satiated the market’s hunger. However, Lomi had a different vision for the family's future. She declared her son, Utigo, as her heir, bypassing Bisel's claim. Bisel sadly accepted to avoid being ostracized by the family ending the power struggle for the leadership of the Tyrlosuh lineage. The gem market, unable to sway Lomi, eventually turned its attention elsewhere. It wasn't long before the Retule family, sworn rivals of the Tyrlosuh family, discovered a small grove of Polompty near their Heatherberry fields. With the supply restored, markets everywhere flourished and the Polompty rush ended. This new source rekindled the market for three years, until this supply dwindled as well. Now, with both sources depleted and demand still high, a question lingers: Why did Lomi close the mine, causing economic turmoil? Does she possess knowledge of a hidden danger associated with Polompty, or is there a deeper secret to this extraordinary gem's origin? Families of Evergreen, cults in disguise Tyrlosuh family, from gemstone guardians to fallen shadows The Tyrlosuh family is the largest and wealthiest family in the entire history of the kingdom, they originate from Heatherlea and their family founder is Botinesoli and his loving wife Temorla Tyrlosuh who had 2 children, Lomi Tyrlosuh and Bisel Tyrlosuh. Bisel was originally the next heir for the head of the Tyrlosuh family but after Lomi took power as the first heir she decided to declare her son Ugito as the next heir. Bisel accepted his fate to never be head of the family to avoid being exiled by Lomi. With her decision she completely bypassed Bisel’s bloodline from the lineage, completely extinguishing any chance for any of his descendants to ever ascend to the title of head of family. Though this has never been done in the family, Lomi received backlash from both family members as well as the public as this was seen as an unforgivable act of treason to her own blood. With her destructive decision she removed over 30 descendants from having the last name Tyrlosuh. Bisel’s new family line, the Bisenoty, decided to declare a familial war against the Tyrlosuh. Sparking the Biserlosuh familial war. The Biserlosuh Familial war After Bisel declared a familial war against the Lomi, the population of Azalea and the, affectionately named, Tyrlosuh town, started to pick sides. At the time Bisel had the most support by the villagers considering Lomi was the cause of the Polompty rush. Which brought both fortune and misfortune, and had threatened to burn villager’s houses unless they followed her orders as their new leader, which sowed distrust between the populace. The war was not particularly disastrous since it was between 2 armies of around 400 people. Though the amount of lives lost caused an impact in the surrounding area and sent a shockwave in the gem trade market since the Tyrlosuh family were the largest exporters of stones and gems. Both families ended up losing a combined 86 members, 21 from the Bisenoty family leaving only 13 people left and the rest were from the Tyrlosuh family. This disaster would leave over 1300 civilians injured and over 700 dead, it also caused the partial destruction of the town of Tyrlosuh and the complete destruction of the Bisenoty town. Though not only the family’s town were left in ruin, entire neighborhoods of Azalea were utterly ravaged thanks to the supporters of the 2 families. With Evergreen on the brink of a civil war, Steffy himself had to step in and end the war. Though his attempts failed and the war continued for another 2 years before Lomi and Bisel decided to end the battle for the safety of the kingdom as more and more supporters began to sprout and begin fighting in the other towns. With Evergreen on the brink of absolute and utter chaos, Evergreen’s main entrances were shut down and the capital went into lockdown as protests arose, those protests leading into more chaos with the 2 sides arguing and fighting right outside the Main Hall. The Tyrlosuh archives were burned, the Tyrlosuh and the Reveras mines caved in in certain parts and the majority of the Tyrlosuh made jewelry was either sold to another crafter or destroyed entirely sending hundreds of thousands of objects into the Gray Realm causing a widespread jewelry shortage as well as worries on the safety of the Gray realm. After the war ended the Tyrlosuh family was fined 400 pieces of Celusi and their entire Polompty fortune was seized by the Heathotels. Downfall of the Tyrlosuh After the end of the Biserlosuh war, the Tyrlosuh family lost control over the Polompty mine, the majority of their Celusi hoard, their archive was burned to the ground and their hometown was partially in ruins. With Lomi’s dictatorship over the family and her undying hate for the Bisenoty family as well as the Retule family, she forced the Bisenoty family, which was ravaged by the war, to merge back into the Tyrlosuh family name, unifying the rivals and stopping any further familial civil wars from happening. Bisel decided to step down from the lineage and instead become the first person in the history of Evergreen to not be part of a family, whether it is big or small. With Bisel now gone Lomi had no one to challenge her in her dictatorship of the Tyrlosuh family. Until Botinelosi, founder of the family, decided that the lineage had embarrassed itself enough and removed Lomi as ruler. But Lomi refused and since Botinelosi was in his early 160s he couldn’t fight back against her and allowed her to continue her rule. The public had already lost interest in the family and was now fully against it destroying any hope of any new ruler to repair the damage caused by Lomi’s reckless decisions. The Tyrlosuh family, once revered, now exists as a cautionary tale. Their fall from grace serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of unchecked ambition and the devastating consequences of family discord. However, whispers still linger. Is Lomi truly broken, or is she biding her time, waiting for the opportunity to reclaim her lost glory? And what secrets lie buried beneath the ashes of the Tyrlosuh archives? The answers to these questions may hold the key to the Tyrlosuh family's redemption or their complete downfall. Retule family, fruit fanatics or fantasy fighters? The Retule family stands as a beacon of peace in the often-turbulent world of Evergreen. Unlike their gem-obsessed counterparts, the Tyrlosuh, the Retules view conflict with a deep aversion. Witnessing the devastation of the Biserlosuh War solidified their pacifistic stance. They famously disarmed themselves, donating all their Aletine weaponry to the Aletinians. But they still needed to make a profit, so their founder, Ruservi, created the Reveras mine right near the future area for the Tyrlosuh mine. Ruservi was the first person to explore and exploit that part of the kingdom since it was usually used as a tourist attraction for the rest of the towns to visit the lovely northern flora. He eventually discovered a cave which led into a large cluster of Celusi, which eventually led him to create the Reveras mine to mine out this new source of gems for the kingdom. After extensive testing his scholars noticed that Celusi had positive benefits to Heatherberry and enhanced its growth which led Ruservi to found the largest Heatherberry farm in the history of the kingdom. He led the family into a fruit empire for 140 years until he grew too old to lead the family anymore, at his 178th cycle he decided that his son Rymo would become the new leader of the Retule family. This decision came after the end of the Biserlosuh war which started a large change of ruler in many sections of the kingdom, families were giving way to new rulers and the cults were discussing the leaderships. Steffy decided to join in the massive leadership change adding new managers into the departments and a new Head Librarian into the archives. By the end of the leadership changing era Ruservi had already been ruler of the Retule family for a few months, during those few months he had commissioned the construction of a new town for the Retule family and everyone else who wanted to live there. Though this new project was a cover up for a more devious plot, he was in fact commissioning the Aletinians to forge Lempty weapons for his descendants, which caused distrust in the family after news of this plan came into the light. This revelation cast a shadow over the family's pacifistic ideals. Was Ruservi preparing for a war he alone foresaw? Or was there another, undisclosed reason for the clandestine weapon production? These questions continue to plague the Retules, a family caught between their commitment to peace and the shadows of a hidden agenda. Gatosi family, shadows of the kingdom Hidden within the bustling kingdom of Evergreen lies the Gatosi family, shrouded in secrecy and wielding a power unseen. The Gatosi are in charge of the safety of the archives which explains their secrecy and low popularity amongst the populace of Evergreen. They do not have any famous appearance nor have they ever participated in a war since their founding 3000 years ago. Their founder, Guvn, created the family after he noticed the amount of hate that the concealed archives would get from the public. Forever haunted by the everlasting threat of misuse in the archives. He decided to found a new family that would be in charge of protecting these archives and maintaining their secrecy. But considering the fact that Guvn founded the family over 3000 years ago it means he is long dead, he was 343 at the time of his death which leaves him as the longest serving Head Of Family in the history of the kingdom. They originally were treated with hate because the archives were seen as a threat thousands of years ago. But nowadays the archives are a staple in the culture of Evergreen. Captivating the public’s knowledge on what could be hiding in those labyrinth-like buildings. Now, nestled away in the secluded neighborhoods of Islafield, the Gatosi cultivate their unique Yoern vegetables, rumored to enhance mental clarity, a necessity for navigating the labyrinthine archives. While whispers of their reclusive nature follow them, the Gatosis family silently fulfills their role, the shadows of the kingdom their only companions. Fruits of Evergreen, source of nourishment and mystery Heatherberry The humble heatherberry is a ubiquitous presence in Evergreen's northern villages, especially Heatherlea, its namesake. This incredibly common fruit harbors a rare variant, the purple and orange heatherberry found only in one singular farm in Heatherlea. The farm’s owner has kept their identity to protect this incredibly rare variant of heatherberry. The whispers of Evergreen have always condensed into a wide array of conspiracy theories, in this case they believe that the heatherberry is a mystical edible stone that was brought to the kingdom from the forgotten civilization before Evergreen. Despite repeated debunking. A plethora of people still believe that this outlandish theory is true. The purple and orange heatherberry has been widely known for its rarity but also for its properties. The purple and orange heatherberry has been subject to multiple tests, including Eshwar Mestec’s famous 7676AGE experiments. Controversy and mystery cling to the heatherberry, yet it remains the kingdom's beloved snack, a daily indulgence for an impressive 96% of the population.

2024.05.20 04:59 Idiot_boy35 Hoya prop question
Hello! I’m considering purchasing Hoya kerrii cuttings from FB marketplace and the woman selling them said that she cut them on 5/8. They’re unrooted and look uncovered. Are they likely to root and survive? I’ve never had experience leaving a cutting out for that long without putting it in water or a planting medium.

2024.05.20 04:52 Idiot_boy35 Hoya cutting question
Hi everyone, I’m debating on purchasing unrooted Hoya Kerrii cuttings off of Facebook. The woman selling them cut them on May 8th and has not rooted them or put them in any water. I’ve never let a cutting sit for that long and am wondering if they will even root at this point? Has anyone had experience or any knowledge with this? Thanks!!
