Bridal Saaḏee - Also called the “Saree” around the world, the Saaḏee (in Marathi) is the classic OOTD for a Maharashtrian bride. It can be a nine yards one, called Naoo-vaari (Naoo – Nine, Vaari – Yards) or a Six Yards one. Koonku/Ticklee - The Tiklee, also known as “Bindi” in other parts of India, is a red coloured dot applied on the forehead. It is applied along with vermilion powder (Koonku), and turmeric powder (Haldi) on the forehead serves as an auspicious sign of marriage. As the bride steps over the threshold of her new home, her red ticklee is believed to usher in prosperity and grant her a place as the family’s newest guardian.
In today’s world, the Ticklee has evolved into a fashion accessory and is available in various shapes, sizes, and colours.
Mangalsutra - Made of black beads and gold, the Mangalsutra is a sacred necklace that symbolises the new bond of matrimony. Just as a western groom puts the ring on his bride, in the same way the Maharashtrian groom ties the Mangalsutra around the bride’s neck.
The significance of this ornament can be seen in the meaning of the word Mangalsutra – “Mangal” meaning auspicious, and “Sutra” meaning thread or cord.
Mundavalya - A “Mundavali” (plural: Mundavalyaa) is a traditional headpiece or headband worn by Marathi brides as part of their wedding attire. Made of pearls and gold, and adorned with intricate designs such as including motifs, gemstones, and other decorative elements it symbolizes the bride’s auspicious and sacred journey into married life. The Mundavali enhances the bride’s beauty and adds an elegant and regal touch to her bridal look.
Nath - The Nath is a traditional Marathi nose ring, usually studded with pearls and gemstones, worn on the bride’s left nostril. The Maharashtrian Nath is very distinctive in appearance and is easily recognisable as a quintessential Maharashtrian ornament.
Kanatley (Earrings) - Made of gold and encrusted with precious stones, Kanatley or earrings are often paired with a matching necklace. The literal meaning of the word Kanatley is – the ones on the ear.
Mehendi - A few days before the wedding day, intricate henna designs are applied to the bride’s hands and feet during the Haldi ceremony. Applying henna on weddings is an age-old tradition, without which the wedding look remains incomplete. It is traditionally an all female event, where other women and girls attending the Haldi ceremony often choose to apply Mehendi on their hands as well.
Bangdya - Bangdee (Plural: Bangdyaa) refers to bangles worn on the hand. Brides wear green glass bangles in odd numbers along with thin gold bangles called paaṯlyaa, and thick gold bangles called toḏey.
Painjan (Anklets) - Painjan(Payal) or anklets are traditionally made of metals such as silver and gold, and are adorned with small bells and charms. They jingle with each step, creating a musical and rhythmic sound often associated with grace and femininity.
Jodavee (Toe rings) - “Jodavee” are Toe rings, traditionally made of silver, and worn in pairs, on the second toe of each foot. The ornate designs, have evolved over the years into more contemporary designs that cater to the modern bride.
A Marathi bride’s ensemble serves a cultural and aesthetic purpose. It symbolises her transition to married life, enhances her beauty and grace, and protects her from negative forces. Hi All,
I just made an upgrade from Quest 1 to Quest 3. The resolution bump and clarity is a treat. :D But my specs are getting fogged up if I play any intense physical sports. I had been using a 3D printed lens insert in my quest 1, which served me really well. I want a lens insert for Q3 too, but my issue is I am in India. VRRock and Zenni etc. do deliver but I am hesitant on the reliability of international couriers or Indian Post on these. Besides the custom officers may feel like charging some duty and that would make it pretty costly for me.
Hence I am looking to go the 3D-printing route again. Anyone here has any link of 3D printable files to share which they have personally printed. Please also share your experience with it. Would be really helpful.

It's me again lol. I saw a récent post about à racist boss and it made me think of this job I had in a luxury lingerie store. The owner is a white woman, it's worth the precision. This lady called me after I submitted my CV for the job, asked me the basic questions and whe decided on a meeting date for an interview. I ho to the interview, with my hair loose( I have microlocs and I hate when they fall on my face so I usually have a headwrap or headband) a nice outfit, the professional looking kit. I get there on. Time, she makes me wait 15 minutes standing, then she rpocceds with the interview starting with asking weird questions like the dates, and locations of my previous jobs, I'd I liked it there, and why I left. She didn't ask me anything related to the job she was offering. I found that very weird and wasn't feeling so comfortable by then honestly. By the end of this mess she then told me " you are very well spoken, you have a good French, where are you from" I say thx and answered that I'm cameroonian and I grew up there . Then she goes " for how long have you been to Canada your French is really good" Nad then some more stupid questions like that, insisting on my French and how it couldn't be related to where I came from. Like gurl wtf!!!
She hires me and on the first day I came in with a headwrap, the nefertiti way, when I tell you she WASN'T enchanted!! Ma'am asked me why I was covering my hair , saying she preferred them loose because it was better for her clients to come in and feel comfortable????!!! I told her that I usually have my hair wrapped and on the day of the Interview I didn't have time to do it, and asked " does it botter you?" After coming I. The second day with my hair loose I didn't feel like at my place and told her I'd rather keep my hair wrapped and that there a many way to do it that are not too extravagant, and suggested her a few. She never replied to that , after that she stopped giving me shifts, she would call me and give me stupid excuses like " I don't want anyone else do to for formation, but I'll be on vacation for two weeks" the she called me 3 days later to tell me that she found some else that she trained on time for her vacation!!!!!!! I never contacted her again. She called me 1 months later to tell me that she's sorry she didn't give any feedback, she doesn't need me now but she wants to keep me on the bench just in case, and that I should get another part time job but nothing too busy so I can stay available for her. THW AUDACITY!!!!! All this for minimum wage as well. I am applying for passport renewal in usa and I am using us address as printable address and sending proof for the same. The indian address I added in other address is a new one where my parents are staying. I dont have any indian address proof and same with my parents too. Do I need indian address proof even if it is added in other address?

I have two wigs that I use almost daily. My headband wig that I use for exercising and my everyday wig which is made of high quality Indian hair. This is a beautiful wig, except that the hairline isn't super natural. Another thing that isn't great about my natural hair wig is that the front is 4x4 so when it's windy my temples show (I'm bald). Again, not very natural.

The Indian spice market is characterized as a fragmented market where more than 70% of the market share is consolidated by TOP 15-20 players. However, with the government’s focus on making an export market for spices, the expansion of the e-commerce industry in India has propelled the growth of the Indian Spice market and opened multiple avenues for the companies.
Empire Spices has consistently maintained an upward trajectory of revenue growth. In FY23, the company’s y-o-y total revenue growth stood at 20% while the 5-year CAGR stands at 12.5%. Despite of increase in revenue, the company sector has witnessed a notable decline in printability primarily on account of a significant rise in the cost of raw materials.
Wholesale prices of spices have surged by approximately 40% within the domestic market. Spices such as cumin (jeera), cardamom (both small and big varieties), dry turmeric, and cloves (laung) have witnessed significant price spikes. Jeera reached a record high of Rs.62,000 per quintal, price for ginger exceeded Rs.40,000 per 100 kg in August before easing. Black pepper prices broke the ₹60,000 per 100 kg mark and hit a five-year high, while small cardamom prices increased to a three-year high, with average auction prices approaching ₹2,000 per kg. Turmeric prices have increased to Rs 12,600 per quintal in FY23 from Rs 7,000 per quintal in FY22. Both turmeric and dry chillies recorded a 10.6% inflation in November.
The reason behind the rise in the prices of these spices was a reduction in sowing for several crops, such as turmeric due to unseasonal rains. The coriander belt in Rajasthan has been decimated by the cyclonic storm Biparjoy. Dry chilli production has dwindled due to deficient rainfall in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Due to erratic weather patterns and increasing plant disease farmers in key spice-producing regions have shifted their focus to cultivating alternative crops like cotton, mustard seed, groundnut, and soybean. The ongoing tension in the Red Sea is also seen impacting the spices market as it could lead to supply chain disruptions and increased costs.
During a meeting, Mr. Ramkumar Menon, Chairman of World Spice Organisation, discussed the anticipated decline in prices of several spices, notably cumin (jeera), starting from January 2024. This drop is expected with the arrival of new crops from the kharif season entering the market.
Despite the challenges mentioned above, there has been a growing demand for organic and sustainably sourced spices due to increasing health consciousness and ethical consumer preferences. Additionally, there is a rising interest in spice blends and exotic flavours in the food and beverage industry, leading to product innovation and market expansion.
To meet the increasing market demand, the company is establishing a new manufacturing unit in Malegaon to expand its production capacity. In terms of stock valuation, the company's stock appears undervalued, trading at a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 19x, lower than the industry median P/E of 25x. I’m starting to lean more and more toward keeping my AVP past the return deadline so thinking about accessories and the main thing I think I could help solve with a 3rd party is the comfort.
Looked into getting a used BoboVR M2 for cheap and 3D printing one of the many adapters available on printables.com. However I’ve read a couple testimonials saying they either loved it or hated it. I’d like to hear from more people on here who have tried it out before I buy it or wait for them to come out with a Vision Pro headband.
I tried these clips with a ball cap but it was pretty uncomfortable, hard to put on and off my head and the ventilation at the top of the AVP would send hot air back to my forehead so pretty unusable.
