2024.05.05 02:49 Emerald718282 I am getting old...

Yesterday afternoon, I went out for a walk to clear my head. I walked to a large public park in my city. Spring is in full swing here, and the park was beautiful, full of flowers and trees blossoming. Cherry trees and plum trees, in full blossom all around. People were hanging around, walking, taking pictures. I took out my phone and snapped some pictures of the trees and the pond, to immortalize this pretty spring afternoon for myself.
Then I turned to one side and saw a young woman, sitting on a wooden bench underneath a cherry tree, and posing. Another woman, probably a friend, stood a few steps away from her, holding her phone and taking her pictures. It occurred to me that most of the photos in my gallery featuring me are, in fact, selfies. Because I have nobody to take pictures of me. I have always been a loner, and even though I got better at making friends as I got older, some things fundamentally don't change. I feel the loneliness creeping in, and I can no longer pretend it is just 'solitude' and desirable. As the young woman kept craning her neck like a swan to pose for her friend, I walked on and whipped out my phone (again) to take a selfie. Yes, I didn't have a friend with me to snap my pictures, but I could take my own pictures.
I tried to find the best angle to photograph myself against the cherry tree, a perfect backdrop to the portrait of a beautiful person. If only I was one! I switched my photo app to its front camera and took some selfies, and it just made me depressed. I have always been homely, so it wasn't my ugly (!) face that made me sad. I know what I look like. But normally, at least, I have a certain radiance, and I manage to look cheerful and youthful in photos, if not beautiful. Yesterday, though, I saw an old-looking woman. Sunken cheeks, tired-looking eyes, and dull hair that lacked its usual sheen. (Admittedly, I have been having a difficult and stressful time lately due to material issues, and it took a toll on me, by affecting my mental health and disrupting my sleep. Maybe that is what makes me look sickly.) And I thought to myself "I am old."
In a sense, I could be considered young, I am in my early 30s. But in another sense, I am no spring chicken anymore. At any rate, I am also not getting younger.
And this makes the whole FAW-hood even more painful. It hurts to think most women of my age have had multiple relationships already, and the more "commitment-minded" ones have gotten married, maybe had kids, and are settling down. I feel like I have perpetually stayed at that "just-about-to-begin-my-adult-life" phase that people normally have in high school; perhaps in college, if they are late bloomers. I never bloomed, and sometimes I flinch back when I think that I might wither before I bloom at all. Maybe I am a non-blooming plant, after all. I thought I was a rose, but haven't I collected enough evidence by this point to know that I am a fern?
I would wish for things to change, of course. I can't say this is a letter of resignation. God knows I tried, and I can try again once the other turbulences in my life subside and give me headspace. But also... I tried dating, it was exasperating and unsuccessful, and I don't see how this could ever change? It seems the more time I spend single, the less likely it becomes I will find a partner in the future. Some weird curse, some law of attraction by which loneliness attracts more loneliness.
I find that I cannot smile with my eyes in the selfie. I pull back my lips in a pretend-smile, too obviously fake. I snap a selfie in the diminishing late afternoon sun, just my head, with my tired-looking face, grotesquely surrounded by the serenely delicate pink canopy of the cherry tree.
I put my phone back in my pocket, and walk back home. Alone. As always.

Bathroom Decorating Ideas: Transform Your Space into a Haven
Bathroom Decorating Ideas
(Human directed ai content.)
Your bathroom is more than just a functional space; it's a sanctuary where you can unwind and rejuvenate. Decorating your bathroom can enhance its ambiance, making it a place you truly enjoy spending time in. Whether you have a small powder room or a spacious master bath, there are numerous ways to add style and personality to this often overlooked area of your home. Here are some creative bathroom decorating ideas to inspire your next makeover:

1. Play with Color

Introducing color is one of the easiest and most effective ways to transform your bathroom. Choose a color scheme that reflects your personality and complements the existing elements in the space. Soft pastels can create a tranquil atmosphere, while bold hues inject energy and vibrancy. Consider painting an accent wall or using colorful tiles to add visual interest.

2. Bring in Greenery

Plants not only add a touch of nature to your bathroom but also purify the air and create a calming environment. Opt for low-maintenance varieties like succulents, ferns, or snake plants that thrive in humid conditions. Place them on countertops, shelves, or hang them from the ceiling to introduce a refreshing burst of greenery.
Bathroom Decorating Ideas

3. Upgrade Your Hardware

Swap out dated fixtures and hardware for sleek, modern alternatives to instantly elevate the look of your bathroom. Replace old faucets, drawer pulls, and towel racks with stylish options that complement your chosen aesthetic. Matte black or brushed gold finishes are currently on-trend and can add a touch of luxury to any space.

4. Focus on Lighting

Good lighting is essential in any bathroom, both for practical tasks and creating ambiance. Install a combination of overhead lighting, task lighting around the vanity, and accent lighting to highlight key features. Consider incorporating dimmer switches or smart lighting systems to adjust the mood according to your preferences.

5. Add Artwork and Mirrors

Artwork and mirrors are versatile decor elements that can add personality and depth to your bathroom. Hang a statement piece of artwork to serve as a focal point, or create a gallery wall with a collection of framed prints. Mirrors not only enhance the feeling of space but also reflect light, making the room appear brighter and more inviting.

6. Experiment with Textures

Incorporate different textures to add warmth and visual interest to your bathroom decor. Mix materials like wood, metal, glass, and ceramic for a layered look. Add plush towels, a soft rug, or woven baskets for added comfort and style. Textured wallpaper or a textured backsplash can also make a striking statement.

7. Organize with Style

Keep your bathroom clutter-free by investing in stylish storage solutions. Choose baskets, trays, and containers that not only keep your essentials organized but also enhance the overall aesthetic of the room. Open shelving can also be a decorative way to display towels, toiletries, and decorative accents.

8. Personalize with Accessories

Finally, add your personal touch with carefully curated accessories that reflect your taste and interests. Display decorative trays, candles, and apothecary jars filled with bath salts or soaps for a spa-like feel. Incorporate unique items like vintage finds, quirky artwork, or meaningful mementos to make the space truly your own.
With these bathroom decorating ideas, you can transform your bathroom into a stylish and inviting retreat where you can relax and unwind in style. Whether you prefer a minimalist aesthetic or a more eclectic vibe, there are endless possibilities for creating a space that suits your taste and lifestyle. Take the time to experiment with different elements until you find the perfect combination that makes your bathroom a haven of comfort and beauty.

  • Visit Tallahassee (old Amtrak Station): Understanding the LGBTQ History of Tallahassee. What would a queer history of Tallahassee look like? What are the most important developments in the writing of queer and LGBT history, and how can they be applied to interpreting the queer experience in Tallahassee over the past 200 years? One of the first academic authors of gay and lesbian history earned his PhD at Florida State in the early 1970s and taught some of the first university courses on LGBT history and culture in the nation on the Florida State campus. Why isn’t this story better known, and how can we build on this legacy? How can theory help ensure that we write histories that acknowledge the centrality of race, class, gender, and gender identity, while also always foregrounding issues of political power, labor, coercion, and class? Theory is not about making what is simple obscure, but instead about helping us to see mechanisms at work, and lives lived, that may have left only faint traces in the archive, rounding out and completing the evidence that has survived in greater abundance. Join Professor Charles Upchurch, Professor of British & LGBTQ History at Florida State University, for a 40-minute illustrated exploration of all of these themes as they relate to Tallahassee’s queer history. 5pm/free

2024.04.08 07:49 Longjumping_Bake_165 Elevate Your Space: Easy Home Decor Ideas

In the realm of home decor, there are endless possibilities to transform your living space into a sanctuary of style and comfort. Whether you're looking to revamp a room or simply add a touch of personality, here are some inspiring ideas to get you started:

Play with Colors: Infuse life into your space by experimenting with colors. Choose a palette that resonates with your taste – from soothing pastels to vibrant hues. Consider painting an accent wall or adding colorful cushions and throws to liven up your furniture.

Bring Nature Indoors: Incorporate nature-inspired elements like indoor plants or botanical prints to add freshness and vitality. Succulents, ferns, or a vase of fresh flowers can instantly breathe new life into any room.

Layer Textures: Create depth and coziness by layering different textures. Mix smooth surfaces with rough ones – think plush rugs, velvet cushions, and wooden furniture. This adds visual interest and warmth.

Personalize with Art: Showcase your personality through art and decor. Hang your favorite artworks or photographs that evoke happy memories. Gallery walls are trendy and allow you to curate a collection that speaks to you.

Illuminate Thoughtfully: Lighting can dramatically change the ambiance of a room. Experiment with different light fixtures – from statement chandeliers to soft table lamps. Consider adding dimmers to adjust brightness based on your mood.

Declutter and Organize: A clutter-free space instantly feels more inviting. Invest in stylish storage solutions to keep essentials organized. Utilize baskets, shelves, and decorative boxes to tidy up while adding flair.

Embrace Statement Pieces: Invest in one or two standout furniture pieces that become focal points. It could be an elegant sofa, an antique table, or a unique accent chair. Let these pieces tell a story.

Play with Mirrors: Mirrors can make a room appear larger and brighter. Use decorative mirrors strategically to reflect light and create interesting visual effects.

Revamp with Accessories: Swap out old accessories for new ones to update your decor seasonally. Think about changing curtains, cushion covers, or table centerpieces to keep things fresh.

Create Cozy Nooks: Designate cozy corners for reading or relaxing. A comfy armchair by a window, adorned with a soft throw and a good book, can become your favorite spot to unwind.

Remember, home decor is about expressing yourself and creating a space that makes you feel happy and at ease. Start with small changes and let your creativity guide you. With these simple ideas, you can transform your home into a haven that reflects your unique style. Happy decorating!Elevate Your Space: Easy Home Decor Ideas

Happy decorating!

2024.04.03 19:28 morticiathebong For anyone looking for an alternative to water propping

I get it, you won't know me from a hole in the wall and the method you use is what you use. Please don't take this post as punching down or anything!! I just see so so much of this topic in the community and I wanted to offer my knowledge. For context, I am botanic garden trained (3yrs) and a private gardener. Houseplants aren't exactly my specialty but when you train in a BG that's basically what you learn on. This method is great for both indoor and outdoor props.
Maybe y'all know this, but for anyone who doesn't. Rooting plants in water is hard. I don't necessarily mean across the board/all species, but in general it's hard - on you and the plant. I appreciate that it is a visual way of propping, and that in some cases it IS the correct way to prop.
However, there is an easier way.
PERLITE!!!!!
If you were ever able to go into the grow houses at botanic gardens, you would find trays of perlite. The tray should be perforated to allow drainage, and put somewhere it can drain. Personally I use an old fish tank and reptile tank for this. Tray goes in, lifted somehow (I have tiny terra cotta pots) so the water can run out. Additionally the glass enclosure provides humidity, we are talking in the 80-99% range (you can get very inexpensive monitors that stick on the glass for this, look in reptile section at pet stores). Even better if you can completely enclose it, like a fishtank with one of those half-openable plastic lids. In a BG the humidity is fine in those spaces as-is so they are not enclosed but usually share a particular space that is heated and humid. You may find some props will prefer a "dry" location, like succulents, and you can do the perlite/tray combo just sitting out on a sunny sill. This is trickier as the balance is different.
So here is my suggestion to anyone struggling with rooting in water, or wanting to try a new method.
Supplies:
Method:
One of the best parts about this is you really can't over water, as the perlite is designed to allow water to pass but because it has so much microscopic texture, water still hangs out there. I'd be shocked if you could show me an over watered perlite prop. These prop setups can even sit in water depending on the plant. It's fun to experiment with!! Ferns love being babied in the water column, but things like my ficus ride above the waterline.
I have even seen people do this with perforated yogurt cups full of perlite inside of a bucket with a light over it. Does not have to be complex or beautiful, unlike all the weird hype tools like pretty prop vases etc.
If you're curious about the why, read on below as I share what I was taught. But for anyone experienced in here who wants to explore other techniques, this should feel very doable even on a micro scale.
So why does this method work a bit better than propping in water.
That's because fundamentally, roots that form in water are different physiologically than roots that form in a medium. They absorb oxygen differently because of the availability of it in the water. Hence why when you rinse your prop water, you may be removing scuzz sure but the real thing you're doing is oxygenating the water, allowing the prop to breathe. This is why it's recommended you not allow plants to root more than a few inches in water, as those roots will need to completely change when they hit the soil.
When you prop in a medium like perlite, it allows the root to form more like it would in soil. It experiences more fluctuations, creates a more appropriately-designed structure for nutrient acquisition, and most wonderfully can prevent the shock of moving fragile roots basically from a cryogenic chamber into a hard medium that dries out/has a different oxygen ratio. When you go from perlite to soil (particularly a relatively chunky homemade blend which is my choice) it's a much softer transition.
The reason this is not as common is because we dont keep our homes this humid, reasonably so. But with a few adjustments I think you might find this a successful way to prop, especially if you struggle with it or have tough rooters like ficus.
Good luck!!
PS after posting this I realized there was a houseplant prop subreddit, ima check it out!!
editing to add some examples I offered in a comment to clarify a bit
https://imgur.com/gallery/8EIjml1 This is what you could say I'm talking about, a tray full of perlite with all your props crammed in. Then you would set it in a chamber, ideally like this old lizard tank I use for isolation plants, which can hold a little water. You can see my humidity monitors inside and how somethings are raised on saucers so they can still dry out somewhat.

Take a break from your hard work routine in the company of sultry anime girls who are ready to fulfill your every sexual desire.

Liked:
  • Availability: Free to play
  • Availability of achievements
  • Localization into several languages, including Russian
  • Game for “adults” with 18+ content
  • Bright anime heroines
  • Smooth animations
  • Presence of “erotic” sounds
  • The presence of “improvements” and “sex toys” that will allow you to quickly pleasure your heroine
  • 5 sexy beauties for your choice
  • Simple one-handed operation

Did not like:
  • Clicker
  • Created with UE5
  • Quite useless “improvements” that do not have a particularly strong effect on the number of “points”
  • One tune for the whole game
  • Just two or three “erotic” sighs for each girl
  • If you exit a level BEFORE all stages are completed, the game progress will be reset
  • No visible changes on characters when using upgrades and sex toys
  • Lack of interactivity with character models
  • The “final stage” of the image does not appear at the very end of the score, but ⅓ before the end
  • “Gallery” mode - does not have change keys to view all completed stages of the character
  • “Gallery” mode - to view characters, you need to switch and activate the viewing function for each character separately
  • “Gallery” mode - to change and view completed stages for characters, you again need to complete the game in the “clicker” genre
  • “Gallery” mode - no training on managing image viewing
  • Missing “Options” key in the main menu/game
  • The absence of the “Exit game” key in the main menu of the game
  • Using neural networks to generate images

Conclusion:
“FREE GIRLS!” - a small indie clicker from the young developer of erotic games “Hentai Puzzle”, which focused on the use of neural network images. In this game you have to mercilessly use the left mouse button to score maximum points and view small animations of sex - generated using AI.
The game boasts a nice visual anime style for its female characters, no visible generation artifacts, and smooth animation scenes. Unfortunately, at this stage all the positives end.
The relative disadvantages include the boring, monotonous and monotonous gameplay - in which your only task is to click the left mouse button, occasionally using “improvements” - which do not particularly affect the progress of gaining points, or the interactivity of game scenes.
It is also worth noting the paucity of musical accompaniment, consisting of playing one single melody throughout the entire game. And also a minimal set of “exciting” moans from the main characters, which are limited to two or three sighs of pleasure, repeated ad infinitum.
As a result: “FREE GIRLS!” is a rather mediocre clicker with a minimal number of characters and gameplay, which can occupy some teenagers aged 12 to 16 years - those who do not know about the possibility of using erotic sites, as well as fans of “quick” and “simple” achievements.

2024.03.27 20:10 plsstopprocreating Some Mostly Glowing Nui Cobalt Reviews

Hello all, I'm back with some more extremely wordy reviews, this time for Nui Cobalt!
I am a super taster (and probably super smeller) and sometimes I smell things *oddly.* In particular, lots of things tend soapy or plastic-y for me.
I've already learned that my opinons on scents here can be very different from the consensus.
Therefore, YMMV when it comes to these. I'm just telling it like it is for my particular(ly odd) nose.
On to the reviews!
Fragrance: Astrophilia
Notes: A shimmering constellation of iced white tea, bergamot, diamond musk, clary sage, ginger ale, cold conifers, and mint.
Initial Thoughts: Ooh, this is a COLD one. I don’t think I’ve tried anything with a mint note, and this one is all up in my face. It is assertively minty, and a little herbal from the sage and white tea - like an herbal blend with bergamot, sage, ginger, and mint. There’s something very laundry detergent-y about this scent, it is super clean. I can’t decide whether this is a pro or a con.
Drydown: Unfortunately this turned into laundry detergent, and it definitely isn’t what I wanted. It is a nice clean detergent smell, I just don’t want to smell like laundry detergent.
Rating: 4/10 Too detergent-y, a sad destash.

Fragrance: Bryophilia
Notes: A soothing bouquet of green suede, rainforest fern, Caribbean teakwood, river stone, oakmoss, and ancient fallen mahogany.
Initial Thoughts: I have never seen a perfume that looks like this. It’s the color of root beer! However, it smells so green in a deep, almost rotting way. It is woody and mossy, like the inside of afallen log colonized by ferns and mushrooms. Deep and a little dank, more of a cold slimy green. The color makes perfect sense, given the scent itself.
Drydown: This stays weird, which I love. It isn’t a pleasant, sparkly green. It evokes slippery moss and fungi, dripping with water, and rotting wood. It has the same something sharp and almost minty that Thalassophilia has, which makes it more of a cold green. It smells like the air deep in the forest where the sun never reaches the ground through the canopies of the old growth evergreens overhead.
Rating: 10/10 Gloriously green and creepy, I am a HUGE fan. Already bought a full size.

Fragrance: Hybristophilia (free inclusion)
Notes: Ebon cashmere, guaiac wood, storax, myrrh, syrupy vanilla pipe tobacco, a whisper of grey suede, and a trace of green lavender.
Initial Thoughts: Warm and syrupy sweet, almost a little fruity although I can’t find anything in the notes that would explain the fruitiness. A little spicy and herbal as well, and woody but really well blended so none of the components of it really stick out.
Drydown: I can’t place what this smells like, but it is SO familiar to me. It is extremely well blended and although the individual components are there, they combine to become something more than the sum of their parts. It smells expensive and sexy. I have no cohesive descriptors unfortunately.
Rating: 10/10 I am OBSESSED. I placed a second order right after my first arrived, to get a FS of Bryophilia. This was my free sample with that order, and now I have to buy a FS of it too…. Send help, I’m caught in a cycle of infinite orders!

Fragrance: Sacred Space
Notes: A misty, moss-covered glen, a simple wooden pagoda, steam from a cup of black tea, a tendril of incense smoke.
Initial Thoughts: Opens very similarly to Astrophilia, with notes of tea, wood, and something herbal. It isn’t as cold or sparkly though - more like a chilly morning at a zen retreat, smelling the cup of tea you’re holding. The wood and green-ish notes are restrained and more like a topiary garden than a forest. It has the same minty cool note as some others but not in an overwhelming way.
Drydown: Tends a little towards laundry detergent, which isn’t surprising based on how similar it smells to Astrophilia. However, it is much less detergenty, and very pleasant! The zen garden image sticks around, and the herbal tea notes really blossom. This is lovely and relaxing, and evokes the sensory experience of a very light green tea in one of those clear teacups.
Rating: 8/10 Very nice and spring-y, I think this will become a favorite once things start turning green here.

Fragrance: Sunroom
Notes: Persian lime, styrax, damp moss, Hawaiian sandalwood, Peru balsam, rain, and green patchouli.
Initial Thoughts: This is a warm, humid green. Truly smells like walking into a greenhouse and getting hit with a wall of maybe just slightly musty GREEN. The wood and rain in this give the impression of wet wood beams supporting the glass panels of the greenhouse.
Drydown: Warm and sweet, the pungency of the green fades out into what is still a really nice muted greenhouse smell. Much more contained, less like overgrown and chaotic plants and more like an organized greenhouse that is growing sprouts that will later be planted outdoors on a farm. The woodiness comes through in a really pleasant way, and this is wearable without feeling at all like a perfume.
Rating: 9/10 My ONLY gripe is that I wished it stayed just a little more bright green. FS-ing ALL these lovely greens.

Fragrance: Tall Dark Stranger
Notes: Clean suede, earthy bronze whiskey, superior green sandalwood, dry fig, syrupy cedar resin, top-shelf patchouli, and a wisp of smoke from a fine Meerschaum pipe.
Initial Thoughts: Immediately I get cigar smoke, cedar shavings, and whiskey. Like someone has been chain-sawing wood all day and then came inside to have a drink, probably out of a glencairn, and a cigar. It is sweet and a little syrup-y, with more than an incidental amount of smoke.
Drydown: Where did it go?? I applied this, typed up the first chunk of this review, and then went back to sniff again and it was gone. Reapplied, sniffing more frequently, and now 10 minutes later it is gone again. My skin just sucks this one up. I get a tiny whiff of suede and maybe fig now, but over 90% has gone.
Rating: 8/10 for the first 10 minutes, but it has to be a 0/10 I wish this stuck around…. I love whisky scents. But I’m not going to wear something that I have to reapply 6 times an hour :(

Fragrance: Thalassophilia
Notes: Fresh basil, ambergris accord, moringa, salt mist, vetiver, azure musk, summer spruce, cucumber water, and petitgrain.
Initial Thoughts: Cold and green, a little floral but more of a green bud kind of floral than an actual *flower* scent. This is salty and crisp, and the greens in it are very bright, deep green. I was expecting more of a “deep ocean” scent based on the name, but this is very cloudforest-y. Like walking along a coastal trail in the PNW right after a hard rain.
Drydown: There’s something cold and minty in this that perfectly encapsulates the feeling of breathing in slightly chilled forest air, I’m obsessed. It gets some herbal notes from the basil and cucumber, and stays vibrantly green and forest-y. This evokes so many good memories for me.
Rating: 10/10 I FS-ed this hoping I’d love it, and I’m obsessed! This and Fyrinnae’s Black Squall are probably my fave blind buys so far. What can I say, I LOVE ocean-y atmospherics.

Fragrance: Venus Derceto (free inclusion)
Notes: Smooth sandalwood, tonka bean, marzipan, fresh coconut, and neroli, subtly spiced with ginger root, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove.
Initial Thoughts: Right off the bat this smells like almond extract. Or amaretti biscuits. VERY almond-forward, and also spiced by the ginger, cinnamon etc. I don’t get anything woody or coconutty, mostly just the amaretto/amaretti/marzipan that is overpowering everything else.
Drydown: The almond stays as the primary note, although it becomes less overwhelming as it sits. I like the spicy notes, it smells like an almond croissant and a cup of chai tea. Missing the coconut and sandalwood, which I think would make it a little better balanced.
Rating: 6/10 Which is extremely high for an almond scent - I’m not normally a fan at ALL.

Fragrance: Voyeur
Notes: Wet Bulgarian lavender, lemon verbena, old books, oakwood, and tweed.
Initial Thoughts: The lavender and lemon verbena together have distinctly tea-ish vibes. This smells like a nerdy, attractive, but slightly creepy professor’s office. Mugs of tea, old books, slightly musty formal clothes. The scent of dark academia, in a way that is both appealing and a little off-putting.
Drydown: This fades into something ozonic and a little woody. I lose the lavender and lemon in the drydown, but it still smells like an academic office in an old, wooden building. Currently reading If We Were Villains by M. L. Rio and the descriptions of the old dorm the characters live in fits perfectly with this scent.
Rating: 8/10 I wish the herbal tea notes stuck around but I am a big fan of the vibe of this one.

Summary/House Impressions:
WOW WOW WOW WOW These are incredible, so unique and well blended. Both of my orders shipped incredibly quickly, I was very impressed. All the scents have something *special* and indescribable to them. Everything feels very professional, if I was blind smelling them I'd probably assume they were very expensive and from some fancy brand. Better quality than some luxury brands I've smelled. Nui Cobalt is an IMMEDIATE favorite for me, I am obsessed.

Budget-Friendly Bridesmaids Bouquets That Look Anything But Cheap
bridesmaids bouquets
Flowers are the heartbeats of a wedding, and no segment showcases the artistry and the romance of floristry like the bridesmaids' bouquets. However, it's no secret that wedding expenses stack up quickly, and budgeting for blossoms – even such a central part of your big day – is a practical concern. In this comprehensive post, we will explore savvy yet stylish approaches to bridesmaids bouquets, perfect for brides who are looking to achieve a luxe aesthetic without the added cost.

The Significance of Bridesmaids' Bouquets

Before we dive into the practical aspects, a quick reflection on why bridesmaids' bouquets are such an essential component of a wedding. Beyond their obvious decorative function, these floral arrangements are a unifying element, tying together the colors, styles, and ambiance of the wedding. They are also a thoughtful gift for your closest friends – a cherished memento that will be remembered long after the petals have fallen.

DIY Bouquets: Tips and Tricks

One of the most effective ways to cut down on costs is by rolling up your sleeves and crafting the bouquets yourself. Starting this process early is key to avoiding any pre-wedding stress. Here are some DIY bouquet ideas to get you started:

Start With a Vision

Begin by visualizing the type of bouquet that will complement your wedding theme and the dresses of your bridal party. Pinterest and wedding magazines can be incredible sources of inspiration.

The Flower Market

Head to your local flower market for some early-morning bargains. Certain blooms may be priced more affordably due to seasonal abundance or market specials. Planning your trip mid-week can also lead to discounted prices.

The Art of Assembly

With a little practice, you can create a beautifully cohesive bouquet. Remember to strip the stems, particularly of any leaves that will fall below the waterline in the vase. Wrap the stems together tightly with floral tape before covering in ribbon for a polished look.

Seasonal Flower Choices for Affordability

The season in which you wed has a significant impact on flower availability and price. Here's how you can utilize seasonal blooms to save:

Springtime Elegance

Tulips and daffodils, with their vibrant colors and unique stems, can create striking bouquets. Pair these with some classic roses or peonies to add fullness and a touch of luxury without overstretching your budget.

Summery Sunshine

The summer months offer a wealth of flower variety. Incorporate cost-effective yet delightful options like daisies, sunflowers, or zinnias, alongside larger blooms like hydrangeas for a balanced yet economical arrangement.

Autumnal Warmth

The earthy hues of autumn flowers lend themselves to stunning bouquets. Utilize the rich colors of marigolds, chrysanthemums, and the diverse shapes of succulents to craft breathtaking, cost-effective bouquets.

Winter Whites

Opt for the elegance of a predominantly white or pale bouquet in the winter. A selection of white roses, calla lilies, and ranunculus can create a sense of drama and harmony, perfect for a winter wonderland wedding theme.

Alternatives to Traditional Bouquets

Thinking outside the box can lead to creative bouquet alternatives. Try some of these unconventional yet enchanting ideas:

Cascading Greenery

Greenery can be just as beautiful as blooms. A lush bouquet of eucalyptus, ferns, or ivy lends a bohemian and understatedly romantic feel, perfect for the modern bride.

Paper and Fabric Flowers

For a lasting keepsake, consider a bouquet made of paper or fabric flowers. They can be crafted well in advance of the wedding and serve as a beautiful reminder of your special day, long after fresh flowers would have wilted.

Single Bloom Statement

Sometimes, less is more. A single, opulent flower tied with a ribbon can be a chic and budget-friendly option. Large blooms like a king protea or a luscious peony can be a showstopper all on their own.

Incorporating Greenery and Filler Flowers

Incorporating these ‘supporting actors' of the bouquet can do wonders for your budget but also elevate the design.

The Role of Fillers

Fillers such as baby's breath, statice, or limonium give the bouquet texture and volume. They also come with a smaller price tag than the main blooms, making them a pragmatic option to consider.

Verdant and Vibrant Greenery

Greenery like ruscus, salal, or leather leaf can add volume and contrast, completely transforming the look and feel of the bouquet. Their cost-effectiveness is just another advantage of their inherent beauty.

Lenox Hill Florist

Lenox Hill Florist is an expert in crafting bridal bouquets that echo the sophistication and elegance of your love story. A leader in the floral industry, with an unwavering commitment to quality, Lenox Hill Florist has an array of affordable options perfect for your bridesmaids.
A beautiful wedding bouquet doesn't have to break the bank. By being strategic in your choices, whether you opt for a hands-on approach, select seasonal favorites, explore unconventional options, or enrich with greenery, you can achieve a bouquet that is both affordable and memorable. Remember, the key to a stunning bridesmaid bouquet is not the price tag, but the thoughtful curation and the love that goes into its creation. Happy wedding planning!

2024.03.18 20:12 Sharp_Hamster6652 My(19F) boyfriend(22M) is watching porn behind my back and lies to me about it.

So my boyfriend(22M) and I(19F) are together for over two years, but we have known each other about two years before and were friends. About four months into our relationship I've found out that he flirted with a bunch of girls on Instagram and liked soft nudes and also followed such accounts. For what I've known he didn't do it again since then, but I've found different things. He logged onto his google account on my device and the gallery connected and I've found a few hentai pictures. About a year into the relationship we have been looking for something on his phone and he had a leaked only fans video of Belle Delphine downloaded, he also admitted that it was from a only fans leaks discord server. About six months ago a notification from Instagram came on his phone and it turn out he had a secret account where he followed two only fans models. This for obvious reasons has broken my trust may times, as I have talked to him about this topic many times and that I'm not comfortable with him watching porn. He has promised me almost every time that I found something like that, that he doesn't do this anymore. So this weekend I asked him if I could look at his phone together with him and see if there is really nothing so I could just move on from this. He first got mad at me for asking and said that it's disrespectful, that I don't trust him and that I won't find anything. Well of course my gut feeling was right and it turned out he was so mad about me asking because he was scared I would find something (which I did, again a lot of egirl porn on Reddit and twitter, but very recent), but he lied to my face again which was the worst part. I've said it's his last chance, but I don't know if it's even worth continuing, if I was often lied to and disrespected. He knows exactly what he does there and that I would break up with him if he did it again.
Besides that the relationship is actually really great, we actually are kind of best friends and do everything together, so it would be really hard to let go. Is it worth working it out, as he yesterday after two years told me it was due to porn addiction, or is it better to let go?

2024.03.09 20:31 WuKaiTian An easy Kuro-AI guide - prompt and image generation 101

An easy Kuro-AI guide - prompt and image generation 101

Welcome to my Kuro-AI guide ♥

https://kuro-ai.com/?wpam_id=64
In order to not waste your time, let's jump right into it. Kuro-AI is an app that allows you to do several things, you can:
  • Create your own AI chat in the Tavern - AI Waifu chats or anything really.
  • Chat with any of the already available characters/waifus in the tavern.
  • Create your own HD images, anything you can imagine can be done.
  • Edit your images with the "Edit Images" option.
  • Upload and modify with AI your images. (ex: change style, clothes or poses of characters)
  • Browse through other images from other creators.
  • Personalize your own profile and publish your creations.
  • Earn some extra money with their affiliate program.
Those are the main things of Kuro-AI but in this guide we will focus only on the image generation feature (third point).
So heading to the website we see an empty box to type in, there we will type in our prompts. Prompts are the texts that the AI will "read" and will create your image based on the words you tell it to do so let's create everyone's favorite waifu, Hinata Hyuga.
Let's make her sleep in a comfy bed, shall we?
Hinata Hyuga, 2D anime style, long black hair, closed eyes, blush, asleep, sleeping face, lying on a pillow in bed
Notice I have started the prompt with her name followed by a style. You can chose any style, like realistic, oil painting, pencil, manga or whatever you want as long as you match the Style and Model with it like I have, notice in the screenshot that I am using the Anime Style/Pose and the Kuro-AI Model. Then I described her by saying her hair style and color (long and black), eyes (in this case closed) and added some other things I wanted to see. you can change those to your liking.
Let's say she woke up and felt like going to the beach now!
Hinata Hyuga, 2D anime style, long black hair, featureless white eyes, blush, soft smile, standing, ((wearing a black bikini)), medium breasts, [clear blue sky], clean beach
First things first, I have added ((parentheses)) and [brackets]. Why? -> The (parentheses) will give more importance to what is inside than the rest and you can use this to force the AI to do something that without them it wouldn't. You can add from (one) to ((((four)))), the more you add the more it will focus on what is written inside of them. The [Brackets] work the same way but in the opposite direction, it will give less importance to what is written inside. [Clear blue sky] in brackets would normally not really focus on it as you see or it might put some white clouds on the sky if the sky is in the frame.
You can also notice I have highlighted another Model, I have changed to the Tian Mix model by clicking the "MORE" button for that one (yes, this model is based on my style haha). Additionally I have selected a Spell of Hinata Hyuga. There will be occasions when the AI won't do a less known character because it doesn't know it, so this characters will need spells of them to work besides a good fitting prompt.
https://kuro-ai.com/?wpam_id=64
For a last example, let's do Fern from the Frieren Anime:
Fern, 2D anime style, ((mature body)), medium breasts, purple eyes, long purple hair, blush, cute soft smile, beautiful, bedroom, wearing a towel only
She is ready for a shower and so am I ♥
I have changed only the Spell this time, one of her in particular as without the spell the AI will not know who Fern is (this is simply because she was not a popular character at the time the base AI model was trained like Hinata, who indeed was and will always be a very famous waifu haha) Notice I highlighted the 3 buttons under the output, there is where you can Download, Upscale and Publish your results. I recommend to Upscale before downloading or publishing the images. Up-scaling them improves the quality drastically of all your images, it is however a premium feature.
https://kuro-ai.com/?wpam_id=64
Thank you for reading through my guide, please leave any questions in the comments bellow and I'll try to answer all of them as soon as I see them!
have a great day! ♥

2024.03.07 00:46 Anthonest Largest structure in the world (Spoilers Extended)

We all know George is partial to obscenely large buildings in his books, but which are the largest? I have narrowed it down to three contenders, with honorable mentions. These are in no particular order.

1. The Palace of Love - Choroyane

All Tyrion could see was something massive rising from the river, humped and ominous. He took it for a hill looming above a wooded island, or some colossal rock overgrown with moss and ferns and hidden by the fog. As the Shy Maid drew nearer, though, the shape of it came clearer. A wooden keep could be seen beside the water, rotted and overgrown. Slender spires took form above it, some of them snapped off like broken spears. Roofless towers appeared and disappeared, thrusting blindly upward. Halls and galleries drifted past: graceful buttresses, delicate arches, fluted columns, terraces and bowers. The fog concealed three-quarters of the palace, but what they glimpsed was more than enough for Tyrion to know that this island fastness had been ten times the size of the Red Keep once and a hundred times more beautiful. He knew where he was. "The Palace of Love," he said softly.

2. Temple of the Lord of Light - Volantis

Three blocks later the street opened up before them onto a huge torchlit plaza, and there it stood. Seven save me, that's got to be three times the size of the Great Sept of Baelor. An enormity of pillars, steps, buttresses, bridges, domes, and towers flowing into one another as if they had all been chiseled from one colossal rock, the Temple of the Lord of Light loomed like Aegon's High Hill. A hundred hues of red, yellow, gold, and orange met and melded in the temple walls, dissolving one into the other like clouds at sunset. Its slender towers twisted ever upward, frozen flames dancing as they reached for the sky. Fire turned to stone. Huge nightfires burned beside the temple steps, and between them the High Priest had begun to speak.

3. Great Pyramid of Ghis - Old Ghis

(Unsure if larger than The Great Pyramid of Meereen
Behind them, huge against the sky, could be seen the top of the Great Pyramid, a monstrous thing eight hundred feet tall with a towering bronze harpy at its top. He could close his eyes and see them still: flames whirling from brick pyramids larger than any castle he had ever seen. It was always dusk inside the base of the Great Pyramid. Walls thirty feet thick muffled the tumult of the streets and kept the heat outside, so it was cool and dim within. The Great Pyramid of Meereen had been built as an echo to the Great Pyramid of Ghis whose colossal ruins Lomas Longstrider had once visited. Like its ancient predecessor, whose red marble halls were now the haunt of bats and spiders, the Meereenese pyramid boasted three-and-thirty levels, that number being somehow sacred to the gods of Ghis.
Personally, I think The Palace of Love is described as the "Largest" location, and probably would be the most opulent of the three during its prime. What do you think?
Honorable mentions: Great Pyramid of Meereen, Harrenhall, Palace of A Thousand Rooms, Five Forts, The Wall.

Apes forever (strong)

“The orders were simple.
We kill everything, take revenge, liberate another far off colony from the stench of the knife eared vermin.
Fucking Elves!”
The trooper laid in his coffinpod. The VR goggles played the official news and indoctrination podcast. He switched with a flick of the tongue to AI porn of a certain female friend of his. Finished, he quickly ripped off the googles and grabbed a tissue from the dispenser.
Brightly lit by liquid crystals and almost soundproof, the drumming of engines and pumps felt softly in his bones. He was in the vast body of a megacarrier, the flagship of the HuNav fleet. The roof of the pod was adorned with family pics and a few tasteful hentai jiffs.
Take another look at the briefing folder? “Nah!” He felt hangry like a wolverine. The Trooper opened his coffinpod, climbed down into the din and commotion of the common area.
He made a stop at the ramen box in the rec-corner of his barracks area. It was part of an auto-kiosk overseen by a single Neo-chimp. When his meal arrived via the rattling ‘tube the Nechi plated it in a chipped plastic bowl. The hot smell of broth wrestled with the ozonised stink of the ship.
On his way to go studying he briefly stood and watched at an impromptu wrestling ring. The metal grated floor bumped, and bumped again, or was it the gravity? The study center was at the opposite end of the area, two bulkheads down; he passed by a squad of marching shinies.
Homopedia plopped open. A planet blue and purple-greenish; lush with a number of smaller settlements, with the capital of - check notes - George’s Landing. (reading in a seductive pornified voice ) “Ploxis IV is a human world.”
He enlarged the 3D view, “Bet you is.”
Almost another month until target. Once they were on jump he could visit the observation gallery and view the infinite sea of eyes, maybe bring somebody and have a real meat dinner. Before the battle between the stars went on.
There was no klaxon, no ‘PREPARE FOR JUMP’, or anything like that. It didn’t matter where you were or what you were doing when the ship dematerialised. He always felt like he was falling to the ground, but then he never did so.
The Droopers will return on all human channels
