Looking for a department store to try a non-latex mattress topper - preferably down, 5-inch hotel style, but memory foam is okay to consider as well. Anyone have a good recommendation? I'm trying not to lose a whole day lost in emquartier or central world looking haha.
Not IKEA as I would call their bedding or pillows just functional, YMMV.
Stayed in a Marriott for three weeks and they roundabout declined to quote me on the mattress topper, despite them nicely giving me the in house contact.
I've gotten sheets (not mattress topper) from Pasaya (Bazics 800) in Paragon which are quite excellent and among the best I've had in the price range. Tried Santas which also excellent but price was above what I thought was worth it.
Budget, well anywhere from 4K to 6K for the right one. 8k if it's actually hotel quality.

i want to buy a sidecar sleeper - i heard ikea has one? but my bed is pretty low. Also, my partner and i do sleep shifts - sleeping parent in the bed upstairs - baby duty parent in downstairs on the couch - baby in the bassinet next to the couch until she wakes up. Is it possible to put the sidecar sleeper along the side of the couch? We have an ikea KIVIK

right now her solo bassinet is next to the couch and we sleep on the sofa until she wakes up, then we feed her etc and attempt to put her back to bed (which doesn’t work, and now she’s up unless you hold her - which is why we want the sidecar).

I have some questions regarding PBC and other questions related to veganism:
What do you guys think of grocery stores own in-house plant based options? Would you purchase them or not? Would this be decidedly different from purchasing canned beans or vegetables in general from Said supermarket?
How do you guys go about vegan footwear? From what I can deduce brands like Nike and even doc martens offer vegan shoe options, this would be the footwear equalivalent of PBC.
How do you purchase furniture? Would buying a unit or bed from ikea be 'non vegan' due to them selling animal based food products?
Finally for medications; many include lactose as a binding agent even though this amount is negligible it is ethically speaking best to try to avoid any and all animal based ingredients but for some medications, this isn't viable as oral versions aren't as effective or are unreasonably cost effective, this also goes for getting those said medications from a compounding pharmacy. Would you still take medications with a lactose binding agent anyway? And would you stop taking it if you could not afford the other methods?

I used to have a long haired syrian hamster and he lived in a 50 gallon tote bin, which I loved, but he passed away suddenly and I am unsure as to if he had some sort of sickness, so I have decided I am going to get a new setup for my next hamster.
I am going to get another Syrian, and I am going to get a new 12” wheel, so I would ideally need a tank that would fit that as well as sufficient bedding.
I’ve seen the Niteangel ones, but my only concern is that urine may somehow leak into the wood and that may cause issues- but I’m not 100% sure if that could even be a possibility, so I thought I’d ask haha.
Does anyone have any good tank recommendations? I’m hoping to get a premade one (with the lid and everything) just because I don’t live near any Ikeas (for the Detolf) and for some reason no one is ever selling large enough secondhand-aquariums online!
My budget is around $250CAD.
If anyone has any good toy/hide recommendations or wheels that would be awesome too!

This is for my Mom's house so I can visit her. I'll be there in a week. I fly into Portland, OR, so maybe we can grab something before we head south to her town (which just has Mattress Mart or whatever).
It doesn't need to be fancy or built for the long haul, it's just for me when I come for a week or three. I like a spring unit with an inch or two of foam with a stretchy cover. Less offgassing preferred, which is why I went with Brentwood. $600 or less. Twin is ideal, but the room could handle a full or even queen.
Mainly, I just hate when there's too much "comfort layer"—I'm 135lbs and it feels too unsupportive. The Bear Hybrid's 3" of fluff was too much fluff for me.
Ikea is sold out of the Haugesand, which was my next option.
Maybe the BeautyRest BR800 from Costco?
Are there any bed in a boxes that ship QUICKLY?
I'd take an old-fashioned 90's spring mattress and throw a foamie on top if I knew where the heck to find one.

Going to be moving out on my own and buying my first place soon. I do have some things I can bring with me to get started, but will also need a lot of other basics. I am already having to spend a lot on renovation to make the place livable, so I want to get all the little odds and ends as frugally as I can.
I am willing to buy some things used (wood furniture, nothing with fabric), but others I would prefer to buy new.
Since this will likely be my “forever” or at least long time home, I don’t want it to look all mismatched like a college dorm room. I would like it to look elegant, simplistic and put together. Bougie on a budget, if you will.
I’m also hoping to do a one-stop shop, all at a physical store if possible, and want to know what the best choice to consider would be.
I already have: second-hand couch from family, kids bed and bedroom furniture set, dishes, coffee maker, some decor, TVs
What I will need: kitchen items (glasses, pots/pans, utensils), dining table, coffee table, end table, bath towels, new bed/bed frame for me (will likely purchase this online), lamps, entertainment center, area rug, bed linens, pillows, window curtains, shower curtain, bathroom items
Would my best frugal option to get all of these things in one place, while still having a cohesive look at a reasonable price be: IKEA? Home goods? Somewhere else entirely?

Hi, I’m looking for some suggestions to help maximize the space in my bedroom. I’m already pretty happy with the way it is in terms of general aesthetic and functionality (though it can get messy from time to time, please excuse the squalor I live in). But I’d like a way to be able to display my stuffed animals (I have more than pictured here, they’re in storage) and smaller items, like blind box sets and nail polish bottles. I’m going for a cutesy/kawaii vibe that is also somewhat neat. I’ve attached a short video of my room how it looks right now. (Size is about 13’ x 9’ 8”. I haven’t properly organized a lot of stuff or taken care to put things away, sorry.) I was thinking of putting up some shelves in some of the empty wall spaces, including the areas close to the ceiling. I knew this couple where the woman packed up everything — furniture, rugs, food, even the ice cube trays — and left. The full Grinch. She did leave his clothes and stuff and the bed. Every time he got drunk, for years, he would inevitably start in about that woman and those damn ice cube trays. Years later, she came up to me at IKEA, and I hardly recognized her.
